- 1:55Speaker 7: episode number three hundred and fourteen of the Lonegoming Podcast.
- 2:00Speaker 7: David Ferries lost weekend much similar to h was John
- 2:04Speaker 7: Lennon's last weekend that he spent in the California Hills.
- 2:09Speaker 7: But this was not in the California Hills. This was
- 2:12Speaker 7: in the swamps of Louisiana and the Prayers at Texas
- 2:17Speaker 7: and allegedly, allegedly, I got to throw that in there.
- 2:22Speaker 7: So hopefully, folks, hopefully we sound a little better audibly
- 2:28Speaker 7: than we have been sounding. We spent a lot of
- 2:30Speaker 7: time last night trying to air out and figure out
- 2:34Speaker 7: what in the sam Hades was going on with these
- 2:37Speaker 7: audio issues we've been having, and I think we finally
- 2:40Speaker 7: ironed him out. So hopefully let us know if we
- 2:44Speaker 7: sound okay to you guys, and Joe. Great to see
- 2:51Speaker 7: you again, my friend a long time never see. It
- 2:54Speaker 7: feels like we feels like we've talked every night this week.
- 2:57Speaker 7: I know that the members only show that we did
- 3:00Speaker 7: Wednesday night was a complete noted disaster. What hence the
- 3:05Speaker 7: need for a meeting last night to try to figure
- 3:06Speaker 7: out our audio issues because.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's rare that Rob and I will get on
- 3:12Speaker 1: the video three nights.
- 3:14Speaker 7: In a row. Oh no, Joe, you're hissing and popping
- 3:18Speaker 7: and cracking again, am I? Yeah? When you talk for me?
- 3:28Speaker 1: All right, chat, Let let us know.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Is Joe dropping out and cracking? Sally said, it sounds good?
- 3:37Speaker 7: He was sounding good. I don't know what just happened.
- 3:41Speaker 1: All right, Ruby, stop the signal.
- 3:47Speaker 7: Joe's crackling. I'm still cracking. I still am yeah, Sally says, yes,
- 3:55Speaker 7: not good. Joe, check your settings real quick, just to
- 4:03Speaker 7: make sure everything nothing's changed.
- 4:07Speaker 1: We still got that the echo cancelation.
- 4:10Speaker 7: H hobout know? Okay, No, you start crackling like it
- 4:19Speaker 7: sounds like you have a loose wire somewhere. But I
- 4:22Speaker 7: know you don't. But it has that loose lucy goosey sound.
- 4:30Speaker 1: All right, Well, why do you say how the people
- 4:32Speaker 1: in shot?
- 4:34Speaker 7: Yes? Let me welcome in the folks, the good folks.
- 4:36Speaker 7: They've been waiting all day for this. Uh let's see here.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Who got in here first? That would be Trey, our buddy,
- 4:46Speaker 7: Trey report Tray, who may or may not be here
- 4:50Speaker 7: this evening. I don't know Trey was kind enough and
- 4:56Speaker 7: we love you, Trey. Uh. Trey was kind enough to
- 4:59Speaker 7: do some show art for everyone here this evening, uh
- 5:04Speaker 7: saying that we decided not to use it on the
- 5:07Speaker 7: on the cover, but I dig it.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I like it.
- 5:12Speaker 7: It's awesome. It's just it's just not uh formatic correctly
- 5:18Speaker 7: for this so but still I wanted to share because
- 5:21Speaker 7: you spent some time on it. So thanks brother, we
- 5:24Speaker 7: appreciate it. And uh, you know, the show art I
- 5:27Speaker 7: did for this I thought was pretty clever. You know,
- 5:30Speaker 7: we got we got the supposed to duck hunting trip
- 5:34Speaker 7: or goose hunting trip, whatever you want to call it.
- 5:36Speaker 7: We got the ice skating rink, and we got the
- 5:40Speaker 7: uh CD motel. So all of those things considered, let's
- 5:50Speaker 7: get back to welcoming the folks and my bridge. I
- 5:53Speaker 7: saw you early this morning, right after we did that. John.
- 5:58Speaker 7: Of course, John's in the house and it was checking
- 6:01Speaker 7: in earlier. Daniel, what's up, Sandinas, Let's see garden and
- 6:09Speaker 7: guns is in the house. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. Spirit is
- 6:16Speaker 7: in the house. Didn't see moos seven yet. Sally is
- 6:20Speaker 7: here from across the pond. Sally's in good evening, good evening,
- 6:26Speaker 7: Claude nant Udine is here, Scott Hell, Scott Scott is
- 6:33Speaker 7: in the house. Just put on my official David Faerry
- 6:40Speaker 7: see is flying everywhere rain puncho to get ready for
- 6:44Speaker 7: this episode. You know, I was looking for that letter
- 6:49Speaker 7: and I could not freaking find it anywhere. And you
- 6:53Speaker 7: know how hard it is to search for David Faerry
- 7:01Speaker 7: come flying party, drugs, poppers. Gay. I tried all the combinations.
- 7:08Speaker 7: I could not find it. I I don't know zen ducks. Yes,
- 7:16Speaker 7: but you don't sound good. I don't say something. Do
- 7:23Speaker 7: I sound good? Not with the makeup your nose? No,
- 7:29Speaker 7: testing one too, testing one too, mm hmm. I don't
- 7:35Speaker 7: think so. It sounded better the other way south to
- 7:46Speaker 7: west is in the house. Out of sixty six, Big Mike.
- 7:50Speaker 7: Let's get this show on the road. We're trying. We
- 7:52Speaker 7: are trying, see no evil. What's up? Oh, Paula, Hey, Paula.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Paula's in the house. All right, we're getting full James,
- 8:07Speaker 7: what's up? It was me coming into the chat. Did
- 8:10Speaker 7: you screw everything up? Kind of high speed talking too. Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 7: I was trying to tell him that last night that
- 8:17Speaker 7: for some reason his vocals are sped up it's south
- 8:21Speaker 7: to west, Joe sounds like a micro Mexico city wire tap.
- 8:28Speaker 7: That is that might be common of the night. That
- 8:33Speaker 7: was fantastic. That is good.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Do I sound any better right now?
- 8:39Speaker 7: No, you don't. But that's okay. We're gonna we're gonna
- 8:42Speaker 7: make the best of it. Oh my gosh, Sally has
- 8:46Speaker 7: just become a new member. Thank you, Sally. That's awesome.
- 8:50Speaker 7: Please do not go back and watch Wednesday's members only episode. Uh,
- 8:56Speaker 7: it is not no good. It is not good. It
- 9:02Speaker 7: was no bueno. Oh my gosh. Yeah, sorry, folks. We
- 9:08Speaker 7: tried to mention. It was hard for us to mention
- 9:11Speaker 7: this whole members thing the past couple episodes because we've
- 9:14Speaker 7: had guests on and we didn't want to, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 7: make it all about ourselves when we have guests on,
- 9:22Speaker 7: because that's not cool. But we do. We have a
- 9:27Speaker 7: membership a deal now, you know. And instead of throwing
- 9:31Speaker 7: super chests outs, which they feel free to, we're not
- 9:34Speaker 7: saying don't. But you get some things back when when
- 9:39Speaker 7: you become a member. We got a four ninety nine,
- 9:42Speaker 7: which is a Spooks which I think gives you access
- 9:45Speaker 7: to badges and emojis and whatnot. And then our nine
- 9:51Speaker 7: nine nine tier, which is what is that one called
- 10:00Speaker 7: covert Operators, Yes, covid operators, where you get access to
- 10:06Speaker 7: our members only live streams and videos in addition to
- 10:11Speaker 7: the emojis and badges. And then we have our I
- 10:17Speaker 7: believe it's twenty four superspy tier that gets you everything.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Plus you get to ask a question of our guests
- 10:31Speaker 7: and suggest topics for the show. So if you would
- 10:39Speaker 7: like to support the show, feel free to try to understand.
- 10:43Speaker 7: It's also kind of hard to do on the phone.
- 10:47Speaker 7: For some reason, Apple and Android people say they don't
- 10:52Speaker 7: see a join button, but if you go on a
- 10:56Speaker 7: laptop or a web based browser, you should have no
- 11:01Speaker 7: trouble finding the joint button. I don't know why the
- 11:06Speaker 7: YouTube app does not make it easy, but they do not,
- 11:11Speaker 7: so damn them. But yes, thank you Sally, and let's
- 11:18Speaker 7: thank our other members here real quick, Joe, let me
- 11:24Speaker 7: see if we can find them. Okay, So we had
- 11:32Speaker 7: Linda Ms Linda Giovanni's named Nini joined She's a spook.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Sally's a spook. Paula joined up, She's a spook. We
- 11:40Speaker 7: got Preston Kennedy, Jack Trey, and Bill so we thank
- 11:43Speaker 7: you all for supporting the show, and yeah, it's awesome,
- 11:51Speaker 7: all right, so let's get into the show without further ed. Yeah,
- 11:54Speaker 7: let's get into David Fairies last weekend, because it's something
- 11:58Speaker 7: that we kind of touched a little bit on when
- 12:01Speaker 7: Fred was on here about some things. But it's a
- 12:08Speaker 7: really really deep and twisted story and if it is
- 12:14Speaker 7: to be believed on the surface of what we think
- 12:17Speaker 7: we know about it, then it doesn't really add to
- 12:24Speaker 7: the conspiracy lean of it. But there is some things
- 12:31Speaker 7: to be considered about this trip that don't look good
- 12:35Speaker 7: for David Ferry. So well, thank you, Paula, thank you,
- 12:42Speaker 7: thank you, Yes, thank you. Maybe I don't know, maybe
- 12:48Speaker 7: it took a while for the YouTube app to get
- 12:52Speaker 7: things right when we created a memberships. Maybe it took
- 12:55Speaker 7: them a couple of days or a week or so
- 12:58Speaker 7: to get it up there. But well, thankfully, hopefully everybody
- 13:03Speaker 7: doesn't have a problem now. And thank you again for
- 13:06Speaker 7: the super chat. It is awesome, very much appreciated. So
- 13:15Speaker 7: let's go back to the documents. Let's try to figure
- 13:18Speaker 7: out what we can know about this weekend. Joe. Now,
- 13:25Speaker 7: this all stems, of course, the assassination happened on November
- 13:29Speaker 7: twenty second, nineteen sixty three, at twelve thirty one, which
- 13:33Speaker 7: would have been eleven thirty one in New Orleans. All Right,
- 13:43Speaker 7: So David Ferry is supposed to be at a trial
- 13:48Speaker 7: for Carlos Marcello at this time, or a hearing or
- 13:53Speaker 7: whatever it is, because he works for g Ray Gill,
- 13:59Speaker 7: who is Carlos marcel or one of Carlos Marcello's lawyers. Now,
- 14:06Speaker 7: this is the official story, okay, that David Ferry was
- 14:12Speaker 7: seen at this courthouse and he was there and present
- 14:19Speaker 7: for this Marcello hearing. But when the only witnesses are
- 14:27Speaker 7: g Ra Gill and his secretary, how reliable is that testimony?
- 14:35Speaker 7: Can we trust?
- 14:36Speaker 1: It's a good question.
- 14:41Speaker 7: So to start things off, let's see what the earliest
- 14:46Speaker 7: thing possible. The earliest version of this story possible, of course,
- 14:53Speaker 7: comes from David Ferry upon his return to New Orleans
- 14:58Speaker 7: after the trip, because, as you all remember, Hardy Davis
- 15:05Speaker 7: dimed David Ferry out to Jack Martin. Jack Martin then
- 15:10Speaker 7: dimed out David Ferry to the Feds. So they went
- 15:18Speaker 7: looking for David Ferry, and they realized that he was
- 15:20Speaker 7: not home. They actually searched his apartment while he was
- 15:27Speaker 7: not there. They did take a bunch of things without
- 15:30Speaker 7: a search warrant, which is probably not smart, but they did,
- 15:35Speaker 7: and upon David Ferry calling his apartment and talking to
- 15:41Speaker 7: Layton Martin's, who explained to David Ferry that the police
- 15:46Speaker 7: were looking for him and they had been to the
- 15:47Speaker 7: apartment and they had taken a bunch of stuff, caused
- 15:51Speaker 7: him to return back to New Orleans to face the music,
- 15:55Speaker 7: where he turned himself into the da Jim Garrison. So
- 16:00Speaker 7: this is where we pick up the story of the
- 16:02Speaker 7: earliest story of this so called weekend. So, Joe, if
- 16:07Speaker 7: you want to bring up your little presentation here and
- 16:11Speaker 7: give everybody a big show. But before we do, before
- 16:16Speaker 7: we do, we have to say thank you again to
- 16:19Speaker 7: Perpetual Concepts for the super chat You rock, salue, name key, salute,
- 16:27Speaker 7: say hello to Jerry for me down there. Yeah, Thatt,
- 16:32Speaker 7: Larry Uh. I'm being corrected. Dallas and New Orleans are
- 16:37Speaker 7: in the same time zone. But were they in the
- 16:41Speaker 7: same time zone in nineteen sixty three? Mike? That is
- 16:45Speaker 7: the question? All right?
- 16:51Speaker 1: So Rob, how do I sound? I try editing a
- 16:54Speaker 1: couple things.
- 16:55Speaker 7: You sound like total dog shit. But please continue?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Is it listenable?
- 17:01Speaker 7: Uh? I don't know. I'll stop you if I think
- 17:05Speaker 7: it's too bad. I gotta hear I gotta hear you
- 17:09Speaker 7: going other than just two three words sentence and stop
- 17:14Speaker 7: and so get into it? Got it? Well? See? How well?
- 17:19Speaker 1: All right, let's do it. David David Ferry was interviewed
- 17:24Speaker 1: on Monday, November twenty fifth, nineteen sixty three, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
- 17:32Speaker 1: He was interviewed at the First District Station, New Orleans
- 17:36Speaker 1: Police Department. Ferry advised of the identity of the interviewing
- 17:40Speaker 1: agents and at the outside outside he was advised he
- 17:47Speaker 1: did not have to make a statement.
- 17:49Speaker 7: Law.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I'm giving a little bit because it's a lot about
- 17:56Speaker 1: his Civil Air Patrol stuff that isn't particular really relevant
- 18:00Speaker 1: to this topic. But he said he never owned a
- 18:05Speaker 1: telescopic site or a rifle equipped with a telescopic site,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and to the best of his recollection, had never used
- 18:14Speaker 1: the weapon equipped with aloscopic site and would not know
- 18:17Speaker 1: how to use this one. Do you think that's true, Rob.
- 18:24Speaker 7: No, I doubt. But if we can just skip to
- 18:26Speaker 7: the part about the weekend, we don't need to know
- 18:28Speaker 7: all this rifle business.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Sure, he just didn'ties knowing Harvey Oswald. So this is
- 18:36Speaker 1: what he stated that on November ninth, eighth, or let's say,
- 18:43Speaker 1: Ferry stated that trial of Carlos Marcelo began in Federal
- 18:47Speaker 1: Court in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November fourth, nineteen sixty three,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and ended on November twenty second, sixty three, and that
- 18:56Speaker 1: he was in Orleans with attorney g Ray Gill on
- 19:00Speaker 1: the case during this period. He stated that on November ninth,
- 19:03Speaker 1: in November sixteen, sixty three, he was at Churchill Downs,
- 19:08Speaker 1: which is a farm owned by Carlos mar Marcello mapping
- 19:12Speaker 1: strategy in connection with Marcelo's trial. He informed that on
- 19:16Speaker 1: November eleventh, sixty three, he was in New Orleans and
- 19:20Speaker 1: did not the city. Let's see, stated that he was
- 19:25Speaker 1: in Guatemala in October November in relation to the Marcelo case.
- 19:36Speaker 1: So let's see. Yeah, Okay, So we said that Ferry
- 19:42Speaker 1: left his home on Louisiana Avenue Parkway, New Orleans on
- 19:46Speaker 1: November twenty second, sixty three, roughly at six thirty pm,
- 19:51Speaker 1: in his nineteen sixty one light blue Comet four door
- 19:54Speaker 1: station wagon, which he purchased from the Delta Mercury Company.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Bla related that I'm leaving his home. He drove to
- 20:02Speaker 1: the homes of Alvin Beaubor and Melvin Coffee and picked
- 20:07Speaker 1: them up in order that they might accompany him on
- 20:10Speaker 1: the trip. He stated at the time that he liked
- 20:14Speaker 1: his health. Ferry did not know where he was going
- 20:18Speaker 1: he state. He said that the purpose of the trip
- 20:21Speaker 1: was to merely relax, and that at the time he
- 20:23Speaker 1: did not know whether he was going hunting, drinking, or driving.
- 20:29Speaker 7: That's funny.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Ferry stated that he did not take any fire arms
- 20:34Speaker 1: with him when he left his home because he thought
- 20:37Speaker 1: he might go out of the state of Louisiana, and
- 20:39Speaker 1: he didn't not know what the hunting seasons were in
- 20:43Speaker 1: other states. And he was also concerned about transporting firearms
- 20:47Speaker 1: across the state line.
- 20:50Speaker 7: Yes, because he's such an upstanding citizen.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, here's a good guy. He's Ferry said that
- 21:03Speaker 1: he had been considering for some time the feasibility and
- 21:07Speaker 1: possibility of opening an ice skating rink in New Orleans.
- 21:12Speaker 1: He claimed that he made a telephone call, possibly from
- 21:16Speaker 1: Melvin Coffee's home, to Chuck Roland at the winter Land
- 21:20Speaker 1: Skating Rink in huge Houston, Texas. He advised that this
- 21:24Speaker 1: bal to Roland was charged to either tell the phone
- 21:27Speaker 1: number of Blah Blah. Very claim that he had no
- 21:30Speaker 1: prior acquaintance with Roland, but had knowledge of the fact
- 21:34Speaker 1: that winter Land Skating rink was located in Houston. Ferry
- 21:40Speaker 1: related that he left Melvin Coffee's home between six thirty
- 21:44Speaker 1: and seven pm on the twenty second, accompanied by Bobarf
- 21:48Speaker 1: and Coffee, and they drove to John Paul's restaurant in Cana, Louisiana,
- 21:54Speaker 1: where they stopped to eat. He said that at Kenner, Louisiana,
- 21:59Speaker 1: Guys is very close to New Orleans. It's like running
- 22:03Speaker 1: the out squirts, so they didn't drive far before they supped.
- 22:09Speaker 1: He said that at approximately nine PM or shortly after he,
- 22:14Speaker 1: Boboff and Coffee left John Paul's a restaurant to go
- 22:17Speaker 1: to Houston, Texas. He informed that the red traveled was
- 22:22Speaker 1: through at Rouge to Lafayette, Louisiana, and through Lake Charles
- 22:27Speaker 1: to Houston, Texas. Reclaimed they arrived in Houston between four
- 22:32Speaker 1: thirty and five thirty AM and went directly to the
- 22:36Speaker 1: Alama Motel located South Main Street. He stated that the
- 22:44Speaker 1: three of them registered on the same card at the motel.
- 22:47Speaker 1: After registering and they were retired for the night. Very
- 22:54Speaker 1: claims that he had left a call the motel office
- 22:57Speaker 1: for eight thirty and ten thirty am, but recollections over
- 23:00Speaker 1: seen you going a call from the motel office. I
- 23:04Speaker 1: think he means a wake up.
- 23:05Speaker 7: Call, Rob. Yes, he mways been very tired, very truckard out.
- 23:10Speaker 7: He must have been. Yes, yeah, Frank continue yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Verry stated that themes awakened roughly at noon and after
- 23:26Speaker 1: having breakfast, went down to Main Street to Sears, where
- 23:30Speaker 1: they he purchased a jacket, sweater, and several other items.
- 23:34Speaker 1: After leaving Sears, they drove directly to the Winterland ice
- 23:37Speaker 1: skating rink in Houston, which you learned opened at three
- 23:42Speaker 1: thirty pm and closed at five thirty pm. Ferry said
- 23:47Speaker 1: he rented skates and skated at the rink for a while,
- 23:51Speaker 1: looking a situation over and also taking into consideration the
- 23:57Speaker 1: amount of business at the rink and if they're open
- 24:02Speaker 1: for two hours, Rob, I can't imagine then there's much business. Yeah,
- 24:10Speaker 1: he skates, uh skated or stated that he then introduced
- 24:16Speaker 1: it jelf to Chuck Roland and spoke at like with
- 24:20Speaker 1: him concerning the cost of inslation and operation of a
- 24:22Speaker 1: skating rink. Faery actually presented a leaflet of the winter
- 24:30Speaker 1: Land Ice Skating Rink Okay in his possession and when
- 24:34Speaker 1: he was interviewed by the FBI interesting huh very He
- 24:41Speaker 1: stated that during the time he was talking to Chuck
- 24:43Speaker 1: Rolland and other employees were present recalled, there was a
- 24:47Speaker 1: young boy specifically shocked her, who was passing out skates
- 24:52Speaker 1: at an older man who was on duty. Fairy claimed
- 24:55Speaker 1: that he remained yet the winter Land Skating Rink for
- 24:57Speaker 1: a period of approximate only two hours. After leaving there,
- 25:00Speaker 1: he returned to the Ala Motel, and when he got
- 25:05Speaker 1: back to the Road motel, he placed telephone calls to
- 25:09Speaker 1: jew Ray Gill. When it was unable to complete the call,
- 25:13Speaker 1: place a second call to the Town and Country Motel
- 25:16Speaker 1: in effort to determine whether Gill was located there, which
- 25:21Speaker 1: was myself Clow's place, right.
- 25:23Speaker 7: Rob, Yeah, So he calls Gil, no answer, So who
- 25:28Speaker 7: else you? Who are you gonna call it? And you're
- 25:29Speaker 7: gonna call callers Morcella's place of business because I'm sure
- 25:33Speaker 7: that's where lawyers hang out. Right, Okay, we go on, Joe.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and this was you know, late after afternoon, early evening, Saturday,
- 25:47Speaker 1: the twenty third, so he might have gotten some word
- 25:52Speaker 1: by now. I mean, he's making a lot of calls,
- 25:55Speaker 1: seems to be frantically trying to get in touch with
- 25:58Speaker 1: ge Ray Gil. But no, this was his weekend off
- 26:01Speaker 1: after the conclusion of a trial on Friday, right, right.
- 26:07Speaker 7: So he'd been in a style for three weeks straight
- 26:11Speaker 7: and got him off. And now Ferry decides to get
- 26:17Speaker 7: the hell out of New Orleans for the weekend and
- 26:19Speaker 7: go to Texas. But yet he is frantically trying to
- 26:23Speaker 7: call Gil while he's at this skating rink. He's constantly
- 26:28Speaker 7: on the payphone, which is odd. And he doesn't skateh
- 26:35Speaker 7: Please go on, Joe.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Apparently he tried to escape but didn't skate long
- 26:41Speaker 1: but we'll see allegedly allegedly not according.
- 26:45Speaker 7: To Chuck Rowland. Okay, but we'll get there.
- 26:49Speaker 1: We'll get there. We probably Very stated that he looked
- 26:52Speaker 1: at the skating rink over and tried to locate the owner,
- 26:55Speaker 1: but the owner all right, sorry, uh. Very then went
- 27:01Speaker 1: to the bell Air Skating rink in the Bellevue section
- 27:07Speaker 1: of Houston, arriving there between seven and thirty and eight pm,
- 27:11Speaker 1: so this is the second skating rink of the day
- 27:13Speaker 1: he was visiting. Verry stated that he looked at skating
- 27:16Speaker 1: rink over tried to look at the owner, but the
- 27:18Speaker 1: owner was not available. He stayed there approximately for five
- 27:22Speaker 1: minutes to an hour, and they left. They stopped at
- 27:26Speaker 1: a restaurant and after nine PM, decided to drive to Galveston,
- 27:30Speaker 1: Texas from Houston. And this is funny. While in route
- 27:39Speaker 1: to Galveston, they stopped at the Manned Spacecraft Center and
- 27:43Speaker 1: looked around for about twenty.
- 27:44Speaker 7: Minutes later to bend in Space Center.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and not surprising him for a pilot to want
- 27:52Speaker 1: to stop there, you know, if you're passing. They then
- 27:58Speaker 1: proceeded to Galveston, arriving between ten thirty and eleven PM.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Immediately checked into room one seven eighteen at the Driftwood
- 28:05Speaker 1: Hotel in Galveston. After checking into the motel, they drove
- 28:10Speaker 1: around in the vicinity of some old clubs in Galveston, Texas.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Returned to the hotel sometime after midnight, possibly asleep as
- 28:18Speaker 1: one am. So we are now getting into Sunday morning
- 28:24Speaker 1: here the twenty fourth, and Ferry stated that him and
- 28:29Speaker 1: his crew arose around eight or eight thirty thirty am.
- 28:34Speaker 1: After having breakfast, they took the ferry across the bay
- 28:37Speaker 1: to pick up the road to Port Arthur, Texas that
- 28:41Speaker 1: runs along the coast. Ferry stated the first stop they
- 28:44Speaker 1: made was Port Arthur. They had to get new a
- 28:48Speaker 1: new set of spark clubs for his Shitty Comment station wagon.
- 28:54Speaker 1: He stated at this time that there was a television
- 28:56Speaker 1: set in the station and he walked into the station
- 28:59Speaker 1: where there was a picture from the television set showing
- 29:02Speaker 1: the shooting of the Lee Harvey Oswald in the basement
- 29:06Speaker 1: of the Dallas City Jail. He's very said that after
- 29:12Speaker 1: changing the spark plugs in the station wagon, he ran
- 29:17Speaker 1: the car. Well, he just did some stuff. They stay
- 29:21Speaker 1: there for about another half half an hour. They then
- 29:23Speaker 1: left Port Arthur, drove Orange, Texas, and after crossing the
- 29:28Speaker 1: Louisiana state line, they stopped at Buster's Bar and Restaurant.
- 29:31Speaker 7: Wrong.
- 29:33Speaker 1: He stated the operator of Busters was was Maria James Johnson,
- 29:36Speaker 1: who was a client of g Ray Gill. He also
- 29:41Speaker 1: stated Johnson or contact to Johnson at the bar and
- 29:44Speaker 1: restaurant and talked for approximately thirty minutes, just discussing the
- 29:49Speaker 1: status of an appeal of perjury. Yeah, and income tax.
- 29:54Speaker 1: But so we're at Sunday four pm. They leave bus
- 30:00Speaker 1: bar and restaurant. They drive to Alexander Bria, Louisiana, arriving
- 30:06Speaker 1: at approximately four pm and Alvin Boborf has relatives and Alexandria,
- 30:12Speaker 1: which is kind of there was this excuse for going there. Uh,
- 30:18Speaker 1: Ferry said he had plans attend a party but they
- 30:21Speaker 1: didn't and and uh he then gets gets in touch
- 30:29Speaker 1: with ge Very Gill and kind of gets the the
- 30:34Speaker 1: update on on if he's wanted and who wants to
- 30:37Speaker 1: talk to him. Uh, he stated he very then contacted
- 30:43Speaker 1: Layton his home, his roommate Layton Martins, who at that
- 30:47Speaker 1: time in Fordom that to w w L TV representatives
- 30:52Speaker 1: started making at his home and then the nighood and
- 30:56Speaker 1: had learned that he was being accused and being implicated
- 30:59Speaker 1: in the assass nation of President Canity. Ferriot was obviously
- 31:05Speaker 1: very much disturbed over the fact and was being accused
- 31:09Speaker 1: that he was being accused and implicated and left Alexandria
- 31:15Speaker 1: between and made some several stops service stations, restaurants, same thing,
- 31:25Speaker 1: and kept trying to.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Call you regular.
- 31:29Speaker 8: Ah, he ended it up.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I'm just getting a little bit here because we're getting along. H.
- 31:42Speaker 1: He said that he was finally accesshole in contacting Attorney
- 31:45Speaker 1: Gil like telephone, and Gil informed him Marty Davis, former
- 31:50Speaker 1: bondsman in New Orleans, telephonically contacted Gil, saying that Davis
- 31:54Speaker 1: had been contacted by Jack Kaspartin, who claims he had
- 31:57Speaker 1: tied Ferry in with the Sassinational president Kennedy. And we
- 32:04Speaker 1: all know how that came now, how that we've talked
- 32:07Speaker 1: about that one four and after eating at the restaurant,
- 32:14Speaker 1: they drove back to New Orleans driving nine thirty pm,
- 32:17Speaker 1: where he dropped out and bump off off in the
- 32:20Speaker 1: vicinity of his home so he could check out the
- 32:22Speaker 1: situation I see if anyone was waiting for him. He
- 32:25Speaker 1: then went to go to Hammond, Louisiana to shock up
- 32:30Speaker 1: with a friend of his. So it was in college
- 32:34Speaker 1: and it didn't get back to his home till one
- 32:37Speaker 1: a block the next day, Monday morning, So it's up there.
- 32:46Speaker 7: Bus the weekend, yes, busy, busy, busy weekend. A lot
- 32:51Speaker 7: of driving. It seems like out of the way from
- 32:57Speaker 7: Houston to New Orleans. Well, you gotta remember, remember Tray,
- 33:02Speaker 7: they were leaving from Galveston coming back, so it may
- 33:06Speaker 7: not have been out of the way coming that way back.
- 33:09Speaker 7: I don't know, Joe, were you able to secure a map?
- 33:15Speaker 7: I have?
- 33:15Speaker 1: I have the Google map here.
- 33:17Speaker 7: Yeah, John, thank you, John, appreciate it. Brother, thank you, John, Loose,
- 33:25Speaker 7: Moose and crew, isn't it?
- 33:29Speaker 1: Yes, sir, we are and Jack. This is a part
- 33:34Speaker 1: of the commission Exhibit seventy five. I it's the Breeze
- 33:38Speaker 1: FBI report.
- 33:40Speaker 7: But all these.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh, but Ferry's interview was on the twenty
- 33:49Speaker 1: fifth is when he's giving information, So he's when he
- 33:52Speaker 1: gets back, he goes back to his house and then
- 33:54Speaker 1: he turned himself into the police Police Department, that a's
- 33:59Speaker 1: office and gifts the statement, which is very wrong as
- 34:03Speaker 1: we've just seen.
- 34:05Speaker 7: And yeah, they had literally talked to him for like
- 34:11Speaker 7: six hours. Yeah.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Uh, where are we going next?
- 34:17Speaker 7: From the map? Oh? The map?
- 34:21Speaker 1: That's sorry.
- 34:27Speaker 7: If you haven't a map, we thought it would be
- 34:28Speaker 7: a good idea to look on a map and and
- 34:31Speaker 7: kind of see where all these places are. And Okay,
- 34:35Speaker 7: I can understand when you find Louis when you find
- 34:40Speaker 7: New Orleans there.
- 34:41Speaker 8: Joe, yep, sorry, this is New Orleans, right, yep.
- 34:50Speaker 7: And Metaie is is a little northwest of New Orleans proper.
- 34:55Speaker 7: And then you run into Kenra yeah right beside Metaie. Yeah. Okay,
- 35:00Speaker 7: so they would have been leaving west out of Kenner
- 35:04Speaker 7: on what is it? What is now ten? Yeah?
- 35:10Speaker 1: Or sixty one?
- 35:11Speaker 7: Yeah? Okay, so take us, take us over to Houston, Joe,
- 35:16Speaker 7: follow run it up, backing out a little bit, and
- 35:19Speaker 7: slide us over a little bit.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Sure, so they go that too. Let's see, let go
- 35:28Speaker 1: on route ten here up through Baton Rouge.
- 35:36Speaker 7: Right, yep, I think on Baton Rouge they hop on
- 35:39Speaker 7: ten west or what ye what is now ten West?
- 35:43Speaker 7: Might not have been called that back then. Yeah, but
- 35:46Speaker 7: that looks seem like it runs them all the way
- 35:49Speaker 7: over through La Fiert.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Yeah, they mentioned that, and we think they and and
- 35:58Speaker 1: I think through Boma as well.
- 36:01Speaker 7: They would go through Beaumont.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I want to go, yeah, and they continue yeah right
- 36:09Speaker 1: down Houston.
- 36:11Speaker 7: Boom, Now show everybody where Galveston is. And I thought
- 36:18Speaker 7: this was really interesting. So we're going to go a
- 36:20Speaker 7: little southeast of Houston to an island. Actually, uh, what
- 36:25Speaker 7: appears to be an island if you zoom in on
- 36:28Speaker 7: Galveston there, Yeah, it looks like you need a bridge
- 36:33Speaker 7: to get there.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah you do, now do you remember?
- 36:38Speaker 7: Yeah, Ferry took Ferry. That is funny. So that is
- 36:45Speaker 7: where Galveston is. So why would you go from Houston
- 36:50Speaker 7: to Galveston? So then I raised, me and Joe were
- 36:57Speaker 7: pondering things, and we were thinking it. If you scroll
- 37:01Speaker 7: up a little bit on the map, Joe and zoom
- 37:06Speaker 7: out just a little bit. I'll scroll up, No, scroll
- 37:11Speaker 7: the other way, scroll down. Yeah, all right? Right there. Now,
- 37:17Speaker 7: as you can see, where Galveston is is a hop
- 37:21Speaker 7: skipping a jump across the water from Mexico or Havana
- 37:30Speaker 7: or Guatemala or actually below the Yucatan. But it's awfully
- 37:38Speaker 7: damn close to Mexico. And if the theory that I
- 37:43Speaker 7: believe Forshar's was putting forward, which we'll get into a
- 37:46Speaker 7: little bit more later, is that Faery was supposed to
- 37:50Speaker 7: fly some body or some persons uh to Mexico so
- 37:58Speaker 7: they can get away, right and any little you know,
- 38:04Speaker 7: piper cub or a little sestina, something small like that,
- 38:08Speaker 7: they wouldn't have to go over the land. They could
- 38:10Speaker 7: take off from Galveston, zip across the water down in
- 38:13Speaker 7: New Mexico. They could land anywhere they wanted. Really in
- 38:15Speaker 7: a plane like that, it's a hop, skip and a jump, folks.
- 38:21Speaker 7: And they could have actually made it from Galveston to
- 38:25Speaker 7: Havana or at least the western part of Cuba in
- 38:29Speaker 7: three hours in a plane.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:34Speaker 7: You know, if if they're you know, you're thinking that,
- 38:37Speaker 7: well Oswald wanted to go to Mexico or Cuba, they
- 38:40Speaker 7: could have. But the most likely scenario would be to
- 38:47Speaker 7: go right down the coastline and boom, You're in Mexico.
- 38:51Speaker 7: Monterey is right there, boom.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It's interesting because they didn't, of course, the two skating
- 38:59Speaker 1: rinks they've is that it rob for Houston and the W
- 39:04Speaker 1: section of Houston, which I mean like the suburbs. You know,
- 39:08Speaker 1: they didn't visit I's getting rank in Aveston. They just
- 39:13Speaker 1: allegedly drove around and try to visit some old clubs
- 39:18Speaker 1: or something.
- 39:20Speaker 7: Yeah, they wanted to check supposedly check out the nightlife
- 39:23Speaker 7: in Galveston. Okay, we'll see what they were checking out
- 39:28Speaker 7: here in a minute. But this is also where David
- 39:31Speaker 7: Ferry claimed that they were going to do the geese
- 39:34Speaker 7: hunting at was in Galveston.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Okay, I want what if like that type of island
- 39:43Speaker 1: is like ideal for something. I guess if it's on
- 39:47Speaker 1: the letter, I don't know.
- 39:51Speaker 7: I don't know. But they didn't take any weapons, and
- 39:54Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, I'm sure what's he going to do?
- 39:56Speaker 7: Buy him when he gets there? I don't know.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Ye.
- 39:59Speaker 7: I don't think you can just rent rent guns. Maybe
- 40:02Speaker 7: you can, I don't know, ye.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Jack, are superspy or googled it? I Ten through Nola
- 40:09Speaker 1: was not finished until nineteen seventy two, but whatever the
- 40:14Speaker 1: road was called at.
- 40:15Speaker 7: That time.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Based on where he said he went through.
- 40:20Speaker 7: And I actually saw an interview with al bobaff We're
- 40:23Speaker 7: not an interview, but he was answering questions over an
- 40:26Speaker 7: ad form in the early two thousands, and he said
- 40:29Speaker 7: that it was a four lane highway all the way,
- 40:32Speaker 7: so what we now call a interstate if you will,
- 40:38Speaker 7: you know, four lane. You got two going one way
- 40:40Speaker 7: and two coming the other. So it was a decent road.
- 40:44Speaker 7: It wasn't like some backcountry ass shit, you know. So
- 40:48Speaker 7: they were decent roads.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, before you start, Rob Jack said Galbiston is a
- 40:54Speaker 1: big drug port and that Jack Ruby supposedly did gun
- 40:58Speaker 1: running through Gobleston and I do not know about that,
- 41:02Speaker 1: but I'm just saying based on the location.
- 41:05Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a good spot.
- 41:07Speaker 1: It's a good spot, so I would not be surprised whatsoever.
- 41:11Speaker 7: So right, So we basically heard what Chuck Rowland said
- 41:20Speaker 7: based on you know, different FBI reports or Secret Service reports.
- 41:29Speaker 7: But Jim Garrison actually had Roland, Chuck Roland, that you
- 41:36Speaker 7: heard me, right? His name, his first name is Roland
- 41:39Speaker 7: as well as his last name, testify at the clay
- 41:46Speaker 7: Shaw Trial and Open Court on February twelfth, nineteen sixty nine.
- 41:51Speaker 7: So let's hear from Roland Charles Roland, okay, and what
- 41:57Speaker 7: he has to officially say under oath? Okay. So they
- 42:04Speaker 7: asked him, you know, the basic background, uh stuff. In
- 42:10Speaker 7: the month of November, where'd you reside Houston, Texas? I
- 42:14Speaker 7: was president of the Winterland Ice Skating Rink, Incorporated and
- 42:17Speaker 7: also the general manager. Do you recall being at that
- 42:21Speaker 7: location on the day of November twenty third, nineteen sixty three?
- 42:25Speaker 7: He says, yes. Do you recall approximately what time or
- 42:29Speaker 7: day of night you arrived at that location, he said.
- 42:31Speaker 7: While I was there that morning. That afternoon we had
- 42:35Speaker 7: from one to three o'clock we give lessons to girl
- 42:37Speaker 7: scouts Joe, which I handled this procedure. And I left
- 42:44Speaker 7: approximately at three point thirty somewhere in that neighborhood to
- 42:47Speaker 7: go out for lunch and one that once our doors
- 42:50Speaker 7: opened and we started selling tickets at three o'clock in
- 42:52Speaker 7: the afternoon for public skating. Skating started at three thirty
- 42:57Speaker 7: and I left after seeing that the ice had been
- 42:59Speaker 7: resurfaced for this session and went out to eat and
- 43:02Speaker 7: I was going approximately forty five minutes, and he says
- 43:05Speaker 7: he got back somewhere around four four fifteen. Okay, are
- 43:10Speaker 7: you a professional skater? He says, yes, he was a
- 43:13Speaker 7: professional skater. Now, mister Roland, calling your attention to the
- 43:19Speaker 7: time you return to the rink, did you have occasion
- 43:21Speaker 7: to meet someone? And he says, yes, who was that?
- 43:27Speaker 7: He says, well, a very unusual thing, he calls mister
- 43:30Speaker 7: Dave Ferry. An unusual thing. The reason this is such
- 43:34Speaker 7: a memory to me was because of the way that
- 43:36Speaker 7: he approached me. He had called the week before. Now,
- 43:43Speaker 7: what you just heard from David Ferry to the FBI
- 43:47Speaker 7: is that he didn't call Chuck Rowland until they met
- 43:51Speaker 7: up at Bobos's house before they to get coffee Friday evening. Right,
- 44:00Speaker 7: Chuck Rowland says that David Ferry actually called him a
- 44:03Speaker 7: week prior to this. Okay, he had called the week
- 44:09Speaker 7: before asking about our services. We get many calls from
- 44:13Speaker 7: people coming out of town because ice skating is an
- 44:16Speaker 7: unusual thing to many people, and they like to try
- 44:18Speaker 7: the sport. Mister Ferry made quite a point. Actually, he
- 44:23Speaker 7: made a little bit of a pest of himself at
- 44:25Speaker 7: this time. Mister Roland, I'm going to show you an
- 44:28Speaker 7: exhibit mark for the purposes of identification and ask if
- 44:31Speaker 7: he recognized the person depicted. He says, yes, Who is that?
- 44:34Speaker 7: He says, mister Dave Ferry? Is that the man you
- 44:38Speaker 7: are talking now about? Yes? Would you like a description
- 44:40Speaker 7: of him? Sure? Go ahead. He had heinous red hair
- 44:45Speaker 7: or to pay sort of a ready complexion. Sounds like
- 44:50Speaker 7: David Ferry, right, I mean, h very identifiable character. He says. Uh.
- 44:59Speaker 7: When was approximately how long after you returned to the
- 45:02Speaker 7: ice rink did you first meet Dave Ferry? He says,
- 45:05Speaker 7: practically upon walking in. I was told several people that
- 45:10Speaker 7: I object to what was told to him. The court sustains,
- 45:15Speaker 7: so they redirect. Did you have a conversation with Ferry
- 45:18Speaker 7: at that time? Yes? I did. What was that? Well,
- 45:22Speaker 7: he came in and made known he was there, his party,
- 45:25Speaker 7: himself and two others. Was he with him when anyone
- 45:28Speaker 7: at the time he said he was by himself when
- 45:30Speaker 7: he came up. But later he brought two others over
- 45:33Speaker 7: and introduced them to me. But I don't recall their names.
- 45:35Speaker 7: And frankly, he came back and talked to me. I
- 45:38Speaker 7: was waiting on people, and he made quite a point
- 45:41Speaker 7: of the fact that he was there. They object again,
- 45:48Speaker 7: the court. You can testify as to how many times
- 45:50Speaker 7: he met with you or spoke with you, but you
- 45:51Speaker 7: are drawing a conclusion, sir, redirect mister Alcock, mister Roland,
- 45:56Speaker 7: after this first encounter or an introduce introduction by fair,
- 46:00Speaker 7: did you have occasion to talk to him again that
- 46:03Speaker 7: same afternoon? Yes, how many times, five or six? And
- 46:09Speaker 7: what was said on these occasions by Ferry nothing except
- 46:12Speaker 7: to let me know he was there. I object to that.
- 46:16Speaker 7: Your honor, as the witness, is interpreting what six said
- 46:20Speaker 7: if he knows texts missing him to say, but no, no, no, no.
- 46:25Speaker 7: The court sustains redirect mister Alcock, mister Roland, is there
- 46:30Speaker 7: a public telephone in the Winterland skate rink? Yes, there is,
- 46:34Speaker 7: and approximately where it's located in the rink near the entrance,
- 46:39Speaker 7: all right. And they have him draw a big diagram
- 46:41Speaker 7: about where the payphone is in there, and where his
- 46:45Speaker 7: office was and the telephone was, and the ticket window
- 46:48Speaker 7: and the skate counter and all that good stuff. So
- 46:50Speaker 7: they made him draw a sketch of the Winterland and
- 46:56Speaker 7: they keep on questioning him. He said, mister Ferry, this
- 47:02Speaker 7: over here, being the public telephone, spent the majority of
- 47:06Speaker 7: his time in and around this area over here by
- 47:08Speaker 7: the phone. Where did you or would you have spent
- 47:12Speaker 7: the majority of your time? He says, I was either
- 47:15Speaker 7: at this window in the pro shop or in the workshop.
- 47:19Speaker 7: And at one time mister Ferry did ask for me,
- 47:21Speaker 7: and I was sharpening a pair of skates in the back,
- 47:23Speaker 7: and I had to come out and talk to him
- 47:25Speaker 7: where he told me that he was there again.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Trying to establish an alibi.
- 47:31Speaker 7: Do you think, uh, where did the two gentlemen that
- 47:38Speaker 7: accompanied him to the ice rinks spend most of their time. Well,
- 47:41Speaker 7: they were actually skating. They did skate to your knowledge.
- 47:45Speaker 7: Did David Ferry even rent any skates on that occasion? No,
- 47:49Speaker 7: he did not buy a ticket of admission for skating purposes.
- 47:54Speaker 7: Excuse me. Did you ever see Dave Ferry use the telephone? Yes?
- 47:58Speaker 7: I did, a number of times. Did Dave Ferry, to
- 48:01Speaker 7: your knowledge, ever receive a call at the skating rink?
- 48:04Speaker 7: Yes he did. Were you in a position to hear
- 48:07Speaker 7: any of the conversation which he might have had, No,
- 48:10Speaker 7: I did not. Can you approximate how many times Fairry
- 48:14Speaker 7: used the phone? Approximately three or four? Now? Approximately how
- 48:18Speaker 7: long was David Ferry at the ice rink when you
- 48:20Speaker 7: were present? He left it around five forty five, so
- 48:23Speaker 7: they were only there maybe an hour and forty five minutes. Oh,
- 48:28Speaker 7: thank you, Thomas, Oh, oh, thank you so much for
- 48:31Speaker 7: hey now, Oh sir, always listening to you guys during
- 48:37Speaker 7: the week. Love you work, Tom from Liberty lobbedy corners.
- 48:40Speaker 7: Damn it, I say you got me, Thomas. I hope
- 48:45Speaker 7: that was worth your nineteen ninety nine sir, worth the
- 48:48Speaker 7: price of the mission to hear me say that every time?
- 48:52Speaker 7: All right, back to Chuck Rowland at the skating rink.
- 48:57Speaker 7: Did you see him later that evening? He said he'd
- 49:00Speaker 7: be back, but he never returned. Mister Roland, did you
- 49:04Speaker 7: report these activities of Ferry to the FBI? Yes? I did. Oh,
- 49:08Speaker 7: I guess the men from the FBI spent about an
- 49:11Speaker 7: hour and a half with me. When was that? It
- 49:13Speaker 7: was on Sunday morning the following week. Mister Roland. Did
- 49:17Speaker 7: you have occasion at that time to have a conversation
- 49:19Speaker 7: at all with the two people who went with Ferry
- 49:21Speaker 7: to the rink? No, never talk to them. I was
- 49:24Speaker 7: introduced to them. That was all. No conversation. And I
- 49:28Speaker 7: think you said Ferry didn't rent any skates. That's correct.
- 49:30Speaker 7: He did not skate. He spent most of his time
- 49:33Speaker 7: walking around the lobby, looking in the pro shop, watching
- 49:36Speaker 7: the skaters. He made a number of trips to the
- 49:39Speaker 7: telephone and then to his two buddies, and he was
- 49:42Speaker 7: talking to his buddies and talking to me on a
- 49:44Speaker 7: number of occasions. And that's pretty much how it ended. Okay.
- 49:52Speaker 7: He was in State's witness twenty six and they entered
- 49:56Speaker 7: the diagram into evidence. So there you have it from
- 50:01Speaker 7: Chuck Rowland about what actually went on at the ice
- 50:05Speaker 7: skating rink.
- 50:08Speaker 1: That that is very interesting and it's much more than
- 50:11Speaker 1: he said during his initial FBI interview and Rob, i'ms
- 50:15Speaker 1: bring up real quick. This is from that same debris report.
- 50:22Speaker 1: But this was conducted on eleven twenty eight, which was
- 50:26Speaker 1: let's see the Thursday. The Thursday after about six days
- 50:34Speaker 1: after the assassination, November twenty eight, sixty three, Roland Winterline
- 50:40Speaker 1: Skating Marine, was interviewed. At the time, he stated and
- 50:44Speaker 1: introduced himself as Ferry or affairs. Ferry stated that he
- 50:50Speaker 1: was coming in from out of town and desired to
- 50:52Speaker 1: do some skating. On November twenty Saturday, between three thirty
- 50:59Speaker 1: and five thirty, mister Ferran two companions came to the
- 51:02Speaker 1: winter Land Skating Rink and talked to mister Roland. Mister
- 51:05Speaker 1: Ferry had a short general conversation with Roland, but at
- 51:10Speaker 1: no time that they discuss the cost of equipping or
- 51:14Speaker 1: operating in ice skating rink. Very stated to Roland he
- 51:20Speaker 1: would be in and out out the skating rink during
- 51:22Speaker 1: the weekend. However, this was the last time did not
- 51:28Speaker 1: stop back.
- 51:30Speaker 7: So right, so interesting that he had plans to stay
- 51:37Speaker 7: in Houston and be around the skating rink for whatever reason.
- 51:42Speaker 7: And that was supposedly the whole purpose of the trip
- 51:46Speaker 7: because he was thinking about opening a skating rink allegedly
- 51:50Speaker 7: in New Orleans, and he wanted to go talk to
- 51:53Speaker 7: this guy and see what it took to open a
- 51:55Speaker 7: skating rink and operating costs and maintenance, doing.
- 51:59Speaker 1: All of that research on a potential investment.
- 52:04Speaker 7: But he never had the conversations, right, He just basically,
- 52:09Speaker 7: Chuck said, he just basically wanted. He kept telling me
- 52:13Speaker 7: that he's there, like I care, you know, Like, okay, dude,
- 52:17Speaker 7: I see you. You can't miss you with your giant
- 52:21Speaker 7: eyebrows and your red rug, you know what I mean? Like,
- 52:24Speaker 7: we see you, bro, We know you're David Faerry. Everybody look,
- 52:28Speaker 7: David Faery's here. Everybody, David Fairies here. It's a tady
- 52:31Speaker 7: ring my yead. But that's interesting. So something must have
- 52:38Speaker 7: happened that changed their plans to stay in Houston, right,
- 52:44Speaker 7: What he one would think me just to stay in Houston, Well,
- 52:47Speaker 7: he said, he just Chuck Roland just said that. Fairy
- 52:50Speaker 7: said he was going to be in and out of
- 52:52Speaker 7: the skinning rink all weekend, right, And he wasn't right
- 52:56Speaker 7: but to be fast after an and half and never
- 52:59Speaker 7: came back.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he was for about two hours. But you know
- 53:03Speaker 1: sometimes like if I'm leaving someone and I'm in a
- 53:06Speaker 1: conversation with them and be like, oh, I'll stop back,
- 53:09Speaker 1: you know, and you never do. I'm yeah, Devil's advocate.
- 53:13Speaker 1: But uh he did, as we discussed on I read
- 53:18Speaker 1: stop by another skating rink in Texas later that evening,
- 53:23Speaker 1: but he didn't return into the Winterland rink.
- 53:31Speaker 7: Correct. Yes, So now let's get into some of the
- 53:36Speaker 7: dirty nasty details about all this this little true.
- 53:40Speaker 1: But before we go around, Yes, sir, we have a
- 53:44Speaker 1: comment from an ud know that says all types of
- 53:47Speaker 1: ship was going on in Galveston back in the days.
- 53:50Speaker 1: The Driftwood Hotel was a dump and there was a
- 53:53Speaker 1: gabe are called the con Tiki in downtown Galveston.
- 53:59Speaker 7: Well, no, in fact, I think Anti Dean may have
- 54:06Speaker 7: been at the Driftwood with our boys. As you'll see
- 54:10Speaker 7: here in the middle WOA got a surprise.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Whoa, Yeah, there was reason why they went to and
- 54:19Speaker 1: if there was, it was like a club. There wouldn't
- 54:23Speaker 1: surprise me if they would have stopped by.
- 54:26Speaker 7: There Okay, FBI document. Uh. I don't know much about
- 54:34Speaker 7: this document other than it was reviewed by the FBI
- 54:38Speaker 7: JFK Task Force in nineteen ninety seven and released in full. Okays.
- 54:44Speaker 7: It typed up, looks like part of a report or document,
- 54:48Speaker 7: and it basically this is basically after Fairy has died,
- 54:53Speaker 7: because it starts off with Faerry deceased February twenty second,
- 54:56Speaker 7: nineteen sixty seven, had been a part time private investing
- 55:00Speaker 7: and it kind of gives his background, which we don't
- 55:02Speaker 7: need to go through here. People know who he is.
- 55:06Speaker 7: But then it says this Ferry was a known homosexual
- 55:10Speaker 7: who was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a
- 55:12Speaker 7: minor on eight twenty two, sixty one. This apparent sodomy
- 55:17Speaker 7: incident involved Leyton Martin's Melvin Ceiling and Andrew Blackman. When
- 55:25Speaker 7: the New Orleans police searched his apartment following the arrest,
- 55:28Speaker 7: they found a cash of rifles, a Morse code key,
- 55:32Speaker 7: and maps of the US coast. Okay, And then it
- 55:38Speaker 7: goes on. It says in October of sixty one, a
- 55:42Speaker 7: former Eastern Airlines associate, John Harris, who was a steward,
- 55:48Speaker 7: reported to the FBI that Ferry was trying to buy
- 55:51Speaker 7: a Sea forty seven plane and reported he had a
- 55:53Speaker 7: large cache of arms hidden around New Orleans. He also
- 55:58Speaker 7: said that Ferry was known to dominate a circle of
- 56:03Speaker 7: boys he might also be supporting named George Woodcock junior
- 56:09Speaker 7: pun intended uh Andrew, last name unknown, maybe Blackman, which
- 56:15Speaker 7: it probably was al Landry. Pinky In quotes Layton Martin's
- 56:23Speaker 7: Carlos last name unknown. Okay, so that's interesting. So let's
- 56:33Speaker 7: talk a little bit, Joe about Layton Martin's who was
- 56:36Speaker 7: David Ferries's roommate, all right, now, He was questioned during
- 56:43Speaker 7: the Orleans Parish grand jury, Okay, and they asked him,
- 56:50Speaker 7: were you at David Fairiy's house when they came back
- 56:52Speaker 7: from Texas on that weekend in November when the president
- 56:55Speaker 7: was killed? And he says, that's not clear to me.
- 57:00Speaker 7: The Warren Report and news media have established, apparently that
- 57:03Speaker 7: Ferry did go to Texas on the afternoon of the assassination.
- 57:07Speaker 7: But this was not known to me. This information. I
- 57:10Speaker 7: only got it recently through the local news media. Now
- 57:14Speaker 7: hold on for a second, pump the brakes real quick.
- 57:18Speaker 7: This is one of the most memorable days in United
- 57:21Speaker 7: States history. The president has just been shot and.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Killed everyone else, So they were where they.
- 57:29Speaker 7: Were, Okay, Yet he doesn't remember if David Ferry was
- 57:35Speaker 7: there or not. This is his roommate, but he had
- 57:44Speaker 7: only been David Ferry's roommate for about two to three
- 57:49Speaker 7: weeks prior to the assassination. So for David Ferry to
- 57:59Speaker 7: leave his house and everything he loves in it and
- 58:04Speaker 7: go off with a couple of other guys on a
- 58:07Speaker 7: weekend trip and leave his house to young Lighton Martins
- 58:12Speaker 7: to have free reign and free run in, he must
- 58:15Speaker 7: have really trusted Layton Martins. Okay, which from the document
- 58:21Speaker 7: I just read you from nineteen sixty one, when all
- 58:25Speaker 7: this other information was in there. Okay, that about Lighton
- 58:30Speaker 7: Martin's being one of his little playthings, if you will, Okay,
- 58:37Speaker 7: all right, and we'll get into some interesting stuff about
- 58:40Speaker 7: mister Martin's here in a minute. But they ask him also,
- 58:44Speaker 7: how long had you been staying with Ferry at the time?
- 58:47Speaker 7: And I'm sorry, I overestimated what I just told everybody.
- 58:50Speaker 7: He says, a week or two, not two or three.
- 58:54Speaker 7: A week or two. Yeah, David Ferry is going to
- 58:58Speaker 7: leave his house to some guy that he has just
- 59:02Speaker 7: been living there for a week or.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Two, right, he was, He was a good guy.
- 59:07Speaker 7: H don't forget it, Yeah, good guy. Do you know
- 59:11Speaker 7: where he had gone to when he left? And he
- 59:13Speaker 7: says no, I really don't. I don't know where he
- 59:16Speaker 7: was that weekend. I told you in December, the first
- 59:19Speaker 7: time your office questioned me that the best I could remember,
- 59:21Speaker 7: I seem to remember Fairy being present at his apartment
- 59:24Speaker 7: that weekend. If the evidence is correct, then apparently this
- 59:28Speaker 7: is not so. I really don't know where he was.
- 59:31Speaker 7: I didn't know that he made any trip or where
- 59:34Speaker 7: he was, or if anybody had gone with him. Now,
- 59:38Speaker 7: if you have a roommate, Joe, okay, even if you've
- 59:41Speaker 7: only had a roommate for a week or two and
- 59:43Speaker 7: you're going out of town for the weekend, you think
- 59:46Speaker 7: you would tell your roommate, Hey, man, I'm going on
- 59:50Speaker 7: a trip. I'm not going to be here for a
- 59:52Speaker 7: couple of days. Watch the fucking house and it better
- 59:56Speaker 7: be like just like I left it when I get back,
- 59:59Speaker 7: you know, especially.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: If it was a newer roommate. Because you allegedly he's
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: working so hard on his trial, he's there all the time.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: If he's taking his first vacation on a while, you
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: give some type of instructions to your new roommate. Do this,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: do that, lock the door, or do this take off
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: the track whatever.
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure, so he said. The question. The question
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: is then we can agree on this, perhaps for several
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: weeks in November, for a week or two prior to
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: the assassination, that you were staying with Dave Ferry. And
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: he says yes, in his apartment at three thirty Louisiana
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: Avenue Parkway. Martin says, yes, during that time you were
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: working and where, he says, I was employed at the
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: New Orleans blue Print Company on Union Street in the city. Okay,
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: now check this out, folks, check this out. I thought
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: it was interesting and that something I did not know.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: But we'll start off here. Layton Patrick Martin's lived until
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: the year two thousand. He was born in nineteen forty three.
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: This is his obituary. He was a well loved man,
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: a good friend of many, kind and supportive. Layton was
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: always interesting, informative, and usually hilarious. We will miss his
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: beautiful smile and his love of life. There will be
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: a tribute Tumble tonight we will meet at eight pm
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: at the Dream Palace on Frenchman Street, to tumble to
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: Molly's on Decatur and then have a few memorial moments
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: at the River. Please bring your instruments, percussion toys, and
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: dancing shoes to join us in celebrating the life of
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: late and Martin's. Okay, everybody, Dean bring your umbrella. Okay,
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: I have the trumpet players there, so I'm sorry, I
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: have to. Uh. And it says Layton was the beloved
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: son of the late Edward Martin senior Marguerite Huh. Imagine
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: that Marguerite Martin, fiance of Brenda K. Perry. So he
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: was engaged to be married to a woman interesting married, No,
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: it's just fiance of Okay. He survived by a lot
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: of people, but no children because he was good okay,
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: but also interesting and things that things that I did
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: not know. Leyton Patrick Martin's musician and JFK figure. Okay,
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: so apparently you know he was a musician, right, But
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: he was also an actor Joe a relatively at uh,
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: I don't know, I want to say well known. But
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: he was in the movie Double Jeopardy tight Rope code
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: named disaster, pretty baby, this property is condemned, Rag and Bone,
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: America's Most Wanted and Heat of the Night. So he
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: was all kinds of movies. He was in steven Sagall
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: movie as well. I'm sorry. He was in a Jean
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: Club Van Damn movie. He looks like, yeah, you know what.
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: Other movie he was in a little movie called JFK.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: Whoa No, yeah, yeah. Oliver Stone gave him a little
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: cameo role in JFK. A is an FBA.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Is the FBI conference when they said they said they
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: let David very go.
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: I don't know what part of the movie is from.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: It might it might be Jack.
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: And that's just a little aside about Layton Martin's that
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: I thought was interesting. Everybody there is.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that is fascinating because that's uh, you know, almost
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: ten years nine years just before he died. Yeah, uh
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: and he's he's looking kind of good there. And I
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: think that was and chat correct me if I'm wrong.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: The like, I just that the the Prince the FBI
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: like press conference with I don't think they actually had
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: in real life. That that's a problem we released, you know,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: we didn't and David Fairy blah blah, blah, they didn't.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I've never seen evidence of a press conference saying that.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: But I could be wrong, but wow, that's really cool.
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: Thank you, Rob, Yes, sir. And then it came across
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: an essay from a friend and former guest of the show,
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: Miss Francesca Actar, And this is an excerpt from one
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: of her papers, one of her essays that she wrote
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: in the early two thousands. Only hours after the shooting,
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: Marcelo attorney g Ray Gill visited Fairies home with the
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: unwanted news. Gil was telephoned by an unknown source in
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: Dallas saying that Oswald's wallet contained a library card with
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: Fairy's name on it. Oswald's former landlady in New Orleans
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: was paid a visit by a visibly agitated Fairy, who
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: wondered if she knew anything about the card. Ferry then
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: rushed to an ex neighbor of Oswald's and immediately all right,
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: I'm sorry of Oswald's and again asked for any information
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: about the card or that she might know, but was
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: again frustrated from finding an answer. Immediately after searching for
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: information about his library card and finding none, Ferry made
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: a phone call to Houston to reserve a room at
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: the Ala Motel, a Carlos Marcello owned motel. Huh so, uh.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Huh.
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: Yeah, I did not know that, but I asked, uh huh.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: And Gary, you just helped the guy with his case
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: in some fashion, you may as well get a discount
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: by standard hood.
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: I mean they weren't.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: It wasn't bawling, all right, he wasn't well.
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: They seemed to stop for staking dinners and a lot
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: on this little trip. Yeah.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Well this was their celeb Christian trip.
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I bet it will whether it was the trial or
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: the assassination, We'll leave it up to the listener.
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: When asked why he took the trip to Houston, Ferry
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: had told authorities that he and two male companions drove
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: all night on November twenty second, three hundred and fifty
- 1:07:08Speaker 7: miles through a fierce thunderstorm to Houston to go goose
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: hunting in Texas. He also claimed the trip was designed
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: to gather information on how to run his ice skating rink,
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: a business he wished to open in New Orleans, and
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: on November twenty third, Ferry visited the Winterland managed by
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: Chuck Rowland Rolland's old authorities he never spoke to Ferry
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: about the skating ring business. All Fairry did, said Roland,
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: was make and receiving phone calls for hours at a
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: pay phone. On the afternoon of November twenty third, Ferry
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: called his roommate, Layton Martin's, who told Ferry that he
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: was being accused of involving the assassination. Ferry then returned
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: to New Orleans to find that the FBI Secret Service
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: had just learned about his library car being found in
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: Oswald's wallet. An FBI tele a type from the New
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: Orleans office notified Director Hoover that Marcello's attorney, g Ray Gill,
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: had notified Ferry about the library card. There's someone at
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: the Dallas PD A tipped off Gil about the card
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: and information about it was teletyped to Hoover, and inventory
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: of Oswald's personal property officially by the Dallas PD shows
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: no record of said library card. On the evening of
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: November twenty three, Ferry drove to Galveston, stay the night,
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: and returned to New Orleans the next day. There is
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: no record explaining why Ferry went to Galveston. Big mystery,
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: and then she goes on to tie a lot of
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: things together that are really interesting, but we don't necessarily
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: pertain to this here. So I think Joe had this
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: before about the phone calls. Did you go through that? No,
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: we didn't, Okay, so we were if you have the thing,
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: you can pull it up while I'm talking here. Sure,
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: So we were talking about this. This is an FBI
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: document where basically state it's frustrating because at the bottom
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: of this document that you can't see here, it says
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: that the November twenty third date at the Ala Motel
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: register on the Ala Motel registration card was written over
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: a November twenty second date. Mister Fletcher at the hotel
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: or motel, explaining that this occurred because of the early
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: morning time, which is subjects checked in at the motel
- 1:09:30Speaker 7: and the person checking them in I guess didn't realize
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: that after midnight the date changes. Okay, So there's that
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: because supposedly they checked in at four thirty am on
- 1:09:48Speaker 7: November twenty third, nineteen sixty three. Now what's interesting is
- 1:09:54Speaker 7: if they actually checked in November twenty second, at four
- 1:09:59Speaker 7: point thirty in the morning in nineteen sixty three, well
- 1:10:01Speaker 7: that that throws a big giant wrench in the fun okay,
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: because then we have ourselves a by god official conspiracy folks, right,
- 1:10:14Speaker 7: because remember the only people to supposedly say that Ferry
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: was that the Marcellar trial is Gray Gill, his lawyer,
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: and a secretary that works for Gil. Not very convincing witnesses.
- 1:10:34Speaker 7: I would say, okay, But the conspiracy side of me
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: thinks that if they knew that something was going to
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: be taking place on November twenty second and sixty three
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: in Dallas, that you might want to get to Houston
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: by the early morning of November twenty second. Just saying,
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: just saying, this is conspiracy rob talking.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Before. Of course we was in custity.
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: That was before JFK was even shot, right.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: But still the still still possible if if some theories
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: are right, that he could have been flown out if
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: he didn't get caught live or.
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: Caught Yeah, so then okay. According to this document, it
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: says that Ferry, bowb Off and Coffee checked in the
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: room nineteen at the Aland Motel at four thirty in
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: the morning November twenty third, from New Orleans and stayed
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: until November twenty fourth, nineteen sixty three, at around eight
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: or nine pm. That's what this document says. Okay, right there, yeah,
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: it said and eight until November twenty fourth, sixty three,
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: around eight or nine. Okay, now, Rob, why are you
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: making a big deal out of this? Well, I'll tell
- 1:12:07Speaker 7: you because the FBI also went to Galveston, Texas and
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: talked to Missus Mary Doverie, the clerk at the Driftwood
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: Motor Hotel. Okay, that's eight. They exhibited hotel registration card
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: thirty eighth sixty eight, which reflected that Melvin Coffee, Bow,
- 1:12:30Speaker 7: Boff and Ferry registered at this hotel at eleven pm
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: on November twenty third and were signed Room one seventeen
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: so and then they checked out on November twenty fourth,
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: nineteen sixty three. Time not listed. Okay. Now, on November
- 1:12:55Speaker 7: twenty eighth, Missus Shirley Dial recalled that the above three
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: into visuals checked out at around ten am on November
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: twenty fourth. So these three folks cannot be in the
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: same place that are different places, on the same day
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: that are an hour apart. They can't check out of
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: Houston and Galveston on the same day, the same or
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: not the same time, but the same day. It makes
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: no sense whatsoever. So either somewhere along the line things
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: have gotten really altered in the timeline of things or manufactured,
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: or maybe it's just an innocent mistake. There's a low
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: note of rob talking maybe it's just an mistake, though,
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: you know, these things happen. Yeah, my inner freend now.
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: So you know, I was talking to Joe and we
- 1:13:56Speaker 7: were saying, Okay, were g Ray Gill and his secretary
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: the only people that put him in that courtroom that day,
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: because it's easy to say, well, he was there the
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: cover for him, but nobody else knows who in the
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: hell David Ferry is at that point. Okay, nobody cares.
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: Nobody cares about him. You know, he wasn't testifying, he
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: wasn't a witness, he.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Wasn't a clerk. He was a private investigator.
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: He would have been sitting at the table, you know,
- 1:14:37Speaker 7: with Gil and Marceillo. He'd have been somewhere in the back. Yeah.
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: So we were trying to find any other people that
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: could possibly put him there, because if you don't have
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: David Ferry at this thing, well then that opens up
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: the timeline for that weekend a lot, especially with the
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: mistake in quotes at the Alamo Hotel about when they
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: actually checked in Okay, so looking and looking so. Gil's
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: secretary reported the Ferry was in their offices at approximately
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: twelve fifteen on November twenty second, and he was seen
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: in court around three pm. He stated that he had
- 1:15:23Speaker 7: left New Orleans at six point thirty on a pleasure
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: trip to Texas, accompanied by bobov and coffee. They drove
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: through Lake Chars to Houston, where they checked into the
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: Alamo Hotel at around five in the morning. Spent the
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: day in Houston skating at the Winterland Blah blah blah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 7: then drove to Galveston for the night, then drove back
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: to Louisiana, stopping in Port Arthur around one pm, when
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: they saw a replay of the Oswald killing. Soon after
- 1:15:50Speaker 7: they arrived in Alexandria, ferryphone Martins, who was staking in
- 1:15:54Speaker 7: his apartment and learned that the New Orleans DA Gil
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: and the press had been around looking for him, and
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: they went to South Well. We know that Ferry dropped
- 1:16:08Speaker 7: off bow bof close to his house to report back.
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: Then he dropped coffee off and then David Ferry went
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: to Southeastern Louisiana College in Compton Louisiana or Hammond, Louisiana.
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: He said, yeah, where he stayed with some friends in
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: an all male dormitory, like most guys do when they're good.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: At it for a night. That is what he's actually doing, right.
- 1:16:46Speaker 7: He left Hammond at one pm on November twenty fifth
- 1:16:50Speaker 7: and drove back to New Orleans, where he turned himself
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: into Garrison. It seems that the local staff at search
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: Ferry's apartment without a search warrant, according to the FBI
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: report three twenty one sixty four, and gathered letters, personal papers,
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: and fairies bank book. Presumably these were returned to him
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: when the investigation closed. Allegedly the bank book whatever that means.
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: It's maybe like your checkbook or your account book, your
- 1:17:20Speaker 7: savings account book, you know.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Because you stuck back in the day, keep key tabs
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: like writing on the book right with.
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: Right? Yeah. Faerry was interviewed by the FBI on the
- 1:17:37Speaker 7: twenty fourth and twenty seventh, which is not right because
- 1:17:42Speaker 7: he wasn't interviewed by the FBI on twenty fourth. It
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: should be the twenty fifth because he wasn't there, at
- 1:17:49Speaker 7: which times he gave a complete detailed description of his weekend. Activities,
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: which Joe read already and was cleared of any involvement
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: in the assassination after the Secret Service mentioned above. There
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: was no positive evidence linking him to Oswald, and Jack
- 1:18:06Speaker 7: Martin had admitted to the Secret Service that his story
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: about the Oswald Fairy link was pure fabrication. He pulled
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: it out of thin air. And Zoe, just like Dino,
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: we actually had that documented a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of that going on.
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: Yeah. So in the month of February, when he was
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: considered a suspect by Garrison, Fairy referred to Garrison's investigation
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: as quote a big joke. He spoke freely to the
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: press and was quoted by the Times Pecune on February
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: nineteenth as having said that over the weekend of eleven
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: twenty two to the twenty fourth, he had left New
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: Orleans at three pm and had spent most of his
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: time hunting geese off Galveston. And this is what he
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: told the Times Pecune. I mean, and these stories and
- 1:19:00Speaker 7: timelines are not matching up. Bro, there is something fucky
- 1:19:06Speaker 7: going on with this whole story, this whole story.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it is a team. They had much interest in
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: going hunting.
- 1:19:20Speaker 7: No, but that's the story fairies telling. Three years later
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: to the Times Pecune. So I came across an FBI
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: document dated eleven, twenty six, and it is fairly redacted
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: as you can see. Yeah, it's very old and redacted.
- 1:19:43Speaker 7: It is a tell a type urgent to the ESSAYCS
- 1:19:47Speaker 7: of Dallas and New Orleans from Houston. Let me park
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: up a little bit, Joe, regarding Alvin Boboff and David Ferry. Okay,
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: at four fifteen pm, November twenty six, redacted, redactive, redactive, redactive, redactive, redactive, redactive, redactive, redacted,
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: Alvin Bobot David Ferry at the Driftwood Motor Hotel, Galveston,
- 1:20:15Speaker 7: indicated they were friends of Oswald or I'm sorry, redacted
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: indicated that they were friends of Oswald. Redacted. Determined that
- 1:20:26Speaker 7: the above individuals registered in the room one pin one
- 1:20:28Speaker 7: seven of the Driftwood Motor Hotel three one two eight Boulevard,
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: Galveston eleven pm on November twenty three, sixty three, and
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: checked out at two pm on November twenty four. Now,
- 1:20:42Speaker 7: the woman that worked there said she remembered them leaving
- 1:20:44Speaker 7: at ten am. This one says they left at two
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: pm on November twenty four, gave as their address six
- 1:20:52Speaker 7: one eight North Pierce Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. We're driving
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: at ford door station wagon make unknown license played even
- 1:21:00Speaker 7: seven to eight, whatever the hell, and it says Also
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: in the room with them was Melvin Coffee. So this guy,
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: they're treating him like a third wheel. Joe. Yeah, all
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: were white males, Joe, all of them, they were all white.
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: Also in the room was a blonde white female name
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: unknown highlighted. And that Claude is where Aunt eu Dene
- 1:21:39Speaker 7: comes into the picture. We have an unknown blonde white
- 1:21:44Speaker 7: female in Galveston staying in the room with these three fellows.
- 1:21:52Speaker 7: I'm sure the sea was a fly in that night, Joe.
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: In Galveston, they thought it was a hailstone in Galveston
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: that night, there was so much flying. Oh man, while
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: at the motel place the longance called Alexandria, Louisiana. Houston
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: does not know significance of above and redacted redacted with
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: compromise source who does not want redacted to know his
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: contact with the FBI.
- 1:22:24Speaker 9: So somebody is snitching. Somebody's snitching. Ray, Yeah, somebody snitching.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's possible for sure, Okay, And so
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: just I want to follow up up on something that
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: that you just read it. Read this, and this is
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: from the same FBI interview a Ferry on the twenty fifth.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Ferry said that while he was in Texas, he had
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: talked to waitresses, servostation people, clerks, and operators of motels,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: and that during these conversations he had speculated concerning the
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: assassination of the president, as to whether the police had
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: arrested the right man, whether the press was giving the
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: complete story, and had speculated as to the leftist tendencies
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: of Lee Oswalt and his theory of why Oswalt shot
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: President Kennedy. He said it was his theory that Lee
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: was paranoidal. I guess that's the word paranoidal. He's a paranoid,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: probably on the psychotic side, and.
- 1:23:40Speaker 10: That and that's that's fresh coming from very and that
- 1:23:45Speaker 10: this act was his attempt to redress the imagined wrongs
- 1:23:49Speaker 10: done Oswald in the service and was accomplished by destroying
- 1:23:54Speaker 10: the very route.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: To the authority. He Oswalt quote bucked now, Ron, if
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you're David Fervor and you're talking to random people in
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: Texas about your theories, and you're does that sound like
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: you never met the Oswald before?
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: Now?
- 1:24:15Speaker 10: What?
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: He always left his leaning? Yeah? Or that is.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Or is at times to buck the system, which we
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: know he was a very non erformist against. It's it's
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: fascinating because when you actually read into it, he's giving
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a lot more detail on Oswald, and earlier in the
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: interview he's like, I never ever known him. If he
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: was in the civilar patrol, I wouldn't have come a
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: contact with him. It's all so Bush.
- 1:24:45Speaker 7: Yeah. Well, I came across another fairly redacted document from
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: nineteen sixty seven from the FBI to Director Hoover from
- 1:24:55Speaker 7: New Orleans subject Carlos Marcello redacted attention Division nine and
- 1:25:06Speaker 7: Division five of the FBI, folks, And this one says
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: references made to New Orleans Airtel three twenty one sixty four,
- 1:25:18Speaker 7: forwarding a letterhead memorandum is caption case which showed that
- 1:25:23Speaker 7: on two thirteen sixty four redacted, a New Orleans police
- 1:25:28Speaker 7: officer assists assigned to the DA's office advised that shortly
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: after the assassination. I'm guessing this is Pershing Gervais, but
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: that's just me speculating. Was conducting an investigation to locate
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: David Ferry, who was alleged to have been an associate
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: of Lee Harvey Oswald. Redacted said, in an attempt to
- 1:25:51Speaker 7: locate Ferry at his residence at three point thirty Louisiana Parkway,
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: New Orleans, he found certain material redacted, redacted, redacted, redacted,
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: redacted advised this material was obtained without a warrant and
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: a search was not conducted incidental to an arrest. Redacted
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: made copies of this material available to the New Orleans
- 1:26:20Speaker 7: office on two thirteen sixty four. So they basically got
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: some stuff illegally out of Ferry's apartment, made copies of it,
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: and gave it to the New Orleans office of the FBI.
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: So that's interesting. Now, to further with that, transmitted herewith
- 1:26:45Speaker 7: are four copies of a letterhead memoryandum reflecting background informative
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: relative to the obtaining of letters by the New Orleans
- 1:26:52Speaker 7: Police Department, which relates to the caption subject and background
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: information regarding David Ferry. Now the caption suet Beck's name
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: is Carlos Marcelo Okay Callers Marcelo aka FAG Conspiracy perjury. Now,
- 1:27:12Speaker 7: this is an official FBI document, and it does say
- 1:27:16Speaker 7: exactly what I just read.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: Really, yeah, I thought you were a joking.
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: No, what I joke? Would I do that? Maybe, But
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: that's not a joke. That's exactly what it says, and
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: it says for the information of the Bureau. David Ferry
- 1:27:36Speaker 7: was interviewed by the New Orleans office in the case
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: entitled Lee Harvey Oswald aka ISR Cuba on eleven, twenty six,
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: sixty three, which information is reflected on page two eighty
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: five of the Report of Mourn Debris on December second,
- 1:27:50Speaker 7: nineteen sixty three. Okay, we got that. So what exactly
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: did they take out of David Ferry's apartment that weekend
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: that he wasn't there. Well, I happen to have at
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: least a partial list. There is some some thing's redacted unfortunately.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: And do we know when was this sundayday night? Was
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: this like Monday mornings? You know we came back like
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Sunday afternoon. I mean, of course he dropped the bar
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: off off Sunday night.
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: It would have to be Saturday more than likely, or
- 1:28:28Speaker 7: Friday night or Saturday. Wow. So the list here is
- 1:28:38Speaker 7: two undated letters addressed to a Jack Washerman, Warner Building, Washington,
- 1:28:44Speaker 7: d C. Signed David Ferry, bearing the return address of
- 1:28:48Speaker 7: Room three oh seven of the Maya Excelsior in Guatemala.
- 1:28:53Speaker 7: It should be noted that the only difference in these
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: letters is that one copy has handwritten corrections and notations
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: on page two. So they found a letter to Jack
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: Wasserman of the Warner Building from David Ferry from when
- 1:29:05Speaker 7: I guess he was on one of his trips to Guatemala,
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: which is where I believe he went and picked up
- 1:29:11Speaker 7: Carlos Marcello and brought him back to the United States
- 1:29:15Speaker 7: at some point, right, yeah, allegedly Yeah. An undated letter
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: addressed to Jack no last name and signed Dave Jack Ruby,
- 1:29:29Speaker 7: Jack Martin, Well, we don't know, Jack Martin. Undated letter
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: addressed to redacted and first page of David Ferry's bank
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: book with the Whitney National Bank of New Orleans. Mister
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: Comstock advised that this material was obtained without a warrant
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: and the search was not conducted incidental to an arrest
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: of Faerry was not president at his residence and was
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: not located until several days subsequent to his investigation at
- 1:29:58Speaker 7: this address. Mister Comstock devised that he made copies of
- 1:30:02Speaker 7: all the above material, which he made available on February thirteenth,
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: nineteen sixty four. Then they gave a little background about
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: David Ferry says he admitted visiting Guatemala and departing Guatemala
- 1:30:17Speaker 7: and entering Guatemala on October thirtieth and departing on the first,
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: nineteen sixty three. This information is confirmed by US passport
- 1:30:24Speaker 7: number BO eight five eight six zero that Ferry exhibited
- 1:30:29Speaker 7: when being interviewed by Bureau agents on another matter on
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: November twenty fifth, nineteen sixty three. So let's talk a
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: little bit about Melvin Coffee and who this hell this
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: guy was. Okay, because allegedly okay, Boboff had no idea
- 1:30:56Speaker 7: who Coffee was prior to this trip, and I never
- 1:31:00Speaker 7: saw him again after this trip, really, which is weird.
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: So Melvin Coffee was actually a little older than bo Bof.
- 1:31:10Speaker 7: He was born in nineteen forty and spent most of
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: his early life in New Orleans. In nineteen fifty three,
- 1:31:16Speaker 7: he started hanging around with the moist Sant Squadron of
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: the Civil Air Patrol, and he received a special dispensation
- 1:31:23Speaker 7: to join the unit in nineteen fifty four at the
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: age the young tender age of fourteen. Yeah, b St.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Paul's a restaurant where they stopped in Kenner, Louisiana. That
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: was part of the I'm Sorry Airport's letter patrol.
- 1:31:41Speaker 7: Thank you Red, appreciate your brother, thank you by to
- 1:31:44Speaker 7: say hello work. Loved the Quick Hits episode Hop Momo
- 1:31:48Speaker 7: clipped the Sailor BJ part Momo. I doubt it because
- 1:31:55Speaker 7: Momo sucks as a producer. But don't tell him. I
- 1:31:58Speaker 7: saw right off me easy easy, Oh hear that, Joe.
- 1:32:08Speaker 7: That's there's no Momo here. Talk shit and get hit,
- 1:32:15Speaker 7: all right? So back to Melvin Coffee, all right. So
- 1:32:21Speaker 7: he joined the cap at age fourteen in nineteen fifty
- 1:32:24Speaker 7: four and fifty five Ferries membership of new as the
- 1:32:27Speaker 7: lake Front Squadron was declined, so he spent the months
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: of June, July and August as a volunteer for the
- 1:32:33Speaker 7: moist Unt Squadron instead of getting paid to be around
- 1:32:37Speaker 7: young boys, he volunteered. Among the cadets in the latter
- 1:32:43Speaker 7: squadron at this time were Coffee and Lee Harvey Oswald.
- 1:32:48Speaker 7: Coffee left the squadron in September fifty seven and joined
- 1:32:51Speaker 7: the army in November fifty eight, and he was stationed
- 1:32:54Speaker 7: in New Mexico. Coffee was then discharged from the army
- 1:32:59Speaker 7: Joebruary of sixty two and began visiting David Ferry once
- 1:33:03Speaker 7: a week. The frequency of visits increased and by May
- 1:33:07Speaker 7: of sixty three, Joe by that time, I said, by
- 1:33:18Speaker 7: May of sixty three, they were seeing each other two
- 1:33:20Speaker 7: or three times a week. And by this time Melvin
- 1:33:24Speaker 7: Coffee was employed where Joe, I don't know. Oh, come on,
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: the nineties, Come on, no, the NASA miss show plants
- 1:33:42Speaker 7: in New Orleans. You know, were a lot of these
- 1:33:47Speaker 7: CIA people were getting jobs and all that good stuff people. Right, yeah,
- 1:33:54Speaker 7: rightly too. On the evening of September twenty first, nineteen
- 1:33:59Speaker 7: sixty three, Coffee was visited by Ruth Kyler, who had
- 1:34:03Speaker 7: recently been dumped by coffee pal Thomas Compton.
- 1:34:07Speaker 9: The third.
- 1:34:09Speaker 7: Coffee comforted Kyler and offered her a few drinks.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: Was the guy that very visited on Sunday night. He
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: went to the so that's singing correct? Okay?
- 1:34:26Speaker 7: Yes? So he offered her a few drinks. Kyler became
- 1:34:32Speaker 7: despondent and attempted suicide in front of him. Coffee called
- 1:34:38Speaker 7: in an ambulance and Kyler was treated and released. But unfortunately,
- 1:34:45Speaker 7: poor Melvin Coffee was arrested for contributing to the delinquency
- 1:34:49Speaker 7: of a minor because Kyler was under the legal drinking age.
- 1:34:57Speaker 7: But there is a silver lining Joe, because good David
- 1:35:01Speaker 7: Ferry brought Melvin Coffee to none other than William guy
- 1:35:06Speaker 7: Banister for help in dealing with the charges. Coffee Quote
- 1:35:12Speaker 7: almost had a nervous breakdown over the incident, and on
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: the evening of November twenty second, nineteen sixty three, Ferry
- 1:35:21Speaker 7: and al bobaf decided to take a vacation business trip
- 1:35:25Speaker 7: to Houston, and Coffee was invited along to help him
- 1:35:29Speaker 7: chill out because he's very stressed out, very stressed out,
- 1:35:34Speaker 7: okay to When Ferry returned to New Orleans in the
- 1:35:41Speaker 7: face of Jack Martin's charges against him, he dropped Coffee
- 1:35:44Speaker 7: off at his house. FBI agent Ernest Wall Junior interviewed
- 1:35:49Speaker 7: Coffee at his home at the home of his mother
- 1:35:53Speaker 7: at six eighteen North Pierce Street on November thirtieth. By
- 1:35:58Speaker 7: nineteen sixty seven, Coffee had left the show and was
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: now employed by General Electric. He was interviewed by John
- 1:36:03Speaker 7: Vowles and James Alcock in connection with the Garrison probe
- 1:36:07Speaker 7: on February eighteenth. After the Garrison investigation, Coffey did his
- 1:36:11Speaker 7: best to avoid publicity or any connection with Faery or
- 1:36:15Speaker 7: the JFK case altogether. Back to poor Alvin Boboff. Now,
- 1:36:29Speaker 7: after Fairy dies, okay, and the Garrison people are getting
- 1:36:36Speaker 7: a little bit desperate for things. There was a big
- 1:36:42Speaker 7: kerk fluffle in New Orleans, Joe, A big bribery incident, yes,
- 1:36:49Speaker 7: a blackmle bribery incident involving the DA's office and poor
- 1:36:55Speaker 7: Alvin Boboff.
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: Okay, not the only allegation we've heard.
- 1:37:05Speaker 7: It's not really Yeah. So I have a copy of
- 1:37:08Speaker 7: the transcript of the NBC interview with Alvin Bobo where
- 1:37:12Speaker 7: he basically lays it out his his his case. He
- 1:37:17Speaker 7: says something about a tape M Did I miss it? Yes?
- 1:37:33Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:37:41Speaker 7: After this meeting with your attorney Hugh X Syndicatios. I
- 1:37:46Speaker 7: can't pronounce that name. That's not a good name, uh,
- 1:37:50Speaker 7: Lynn Boiselle and yourself were recorded in which we have
- 1:37:54Speaker 7: discussed what happened to the tape recording that was made
- 1:37:58Speaker 7: at that time? Did you go to any law enforcement
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: agencies with it at that point, he says, after the discussion,
- 1:38:04Speaker 7: the tape had been sent to several law enforcement agencies.
- 1:38:06Speaker 7: One copy had been sent to Sick Transcript plus a
- 1:38:12Speaker 7: statement with my signature, and had been sent to the
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: US Attorney General, and another copy to the New Orleans
- 1:38:17Speaker 7: Attorney General, and another copy was given to language in
- 1:38:20Speaker 7: Jefferson Parish. Now this tape, Hugh x Nicios, my attorney,
- 1:38:29Speaker 7: I believe, tried to sell the tape to the news
- 1:38:31Speaker 7: media or whatnot, and he was not successful. Why was
- 1:38:35Speaker 7: he trying to sell it? He said, Well, he pressed
- 1:38:38Speaker 7: for money. I guess I would like to cut that
- 1:38:42Speaker 7: if I could please from the interviewer, which of course
- 1:38:44Speaker 7: they did not. Don't worry about that, he said. Now
- 1:38:50Speaker 7: let me ask you this. An offer was made for
- 1:38:52Speaker 7: you to testify, and that you interpreted as a bribe,
- 1:38:56Speaker 7: and you were supposed to testify to something which was
- 1:39:00Speaker 7: not true. Why didn't you accept the offer? He says,
- 1:39:04Speaker 7: because I wouldn't morally feel right knowing that I lied
- 1:39:07Speaker 7: on the stand, plus taking the chance of be in
- 1:39:09Speaker 7: charge with perjury, asked him, But you did consider it
- 1:39:14Speaker 7: at one point, did you not? He says, no, I didn't.
- 1:39:17Speaker 7: I consider it to the point of telling the truth
- 1:39:19Speaker 7: and giving a blank check on my mind to hypnosis,
- 1:39:23Speaker 7: sodium pentathal and a light detector test. You never considered
- 1:39:28Speaker 7: taking what you consider to be a bribe, No, no, sir. Now,
- 1:39:33Speaker 7: after the DA's office, the New Orleans DA's office found
- 1:39:35Speaker 7: out about the tape recording that had been made, what happened,
- 1:39:38Speaker 7: he says. They came to my house. They came to
- 1:39:41Speaker 7: speak to me. Who Lynn, Loiselle and lou Ivan and
- 1:39:45Speaker 7: I invited them in. I was shocked to see them
- 1:39:47Speaker 7: after what had taken place. Boiselle said, you know how,
- 1:39:52Speaker 7: uh something illegible And I said, what do you mean, Lynn?
- 1:39:57Speaker 7: And he said, well, I don't care to go into it.
- 1:39:59Speaker 7: He said, Yah, but when you play dirty politics, you
- 1:40:01Speaker 7: get hurt. And if you want to play dirty pool,
- 1:40:04Speaker 7: we can play motherfucker. You were getting that you're going
- 1:40:08Speaker 7: to be getting hurt in the end. We just came back.
- 1:40:13Speaker 7: We just came by to confirm that you did make
- 1:40:15Speaker 7: these statements to several law enforcement agencies about the bribery attempt. Yeah,
- 1:40:21Speaker 7: and they left out the door again. I was motioned
- 1:40:23Speaker 7: to come back inside. This time my wife was listening
- 1:40:26Speaker 7: at the front door. Now notice Bobof at this time
- 1:40:30Speaker 7: says he has a wife in nineteen sixty seven. Okay,
- 1:40:35Speaker 7: keep that in the back of your mind for a second.
- 1:40:41Speaker 7: And I said, not really, Lynn. You wanted me to
- 1:40:43Speaker 7: testify to something that wasn't true. You wanted me to
- 1:40:46Speaker 7: give testimony. You didn't want to give me anything back.
- 1:40:49Speaker 7: You wanted to make a deal, you wanted to make
- 1:40:51Speaker 7: false information. I was willing to give you a blank
- 1:40:54Speaker 7: check on my brain for a small return favor, that's all.
- 1:40:57Speaker 7: And you didn't come through with nothing. I tried my
- 1:41:00Speaker 7: best and good faith to help you out, and you
- 1:41:02Speaker 7: had nothing for me there at all. And he says,
- 1:41:06Speaker 7: the same conversation I'm talking about took place outside. After
- 1:41:09Speaker 7: we were talking about the dirty politics and everything that
- 1:41:11Speaker 7: had been played. Louiselle got quite upset and said, you
- 1:41:15Speaker 7: know how, I don't want to get in trouble over
- 1:41:18Speaker 7: this thing. It was lou Ivan talking correction you No,
- 1:41:21Speaker 7: I am sorry, Loui Ivan said, I don't want to
- 1:41:24Speaker 7: have any of my investigators arrested or picked up for
- 1:41:26Speaker 7: any reason that you might think might be a bribe
- 1:41:29Speaker 7: or anything. And I said, well, lou, wasn't that what
- 1:41:32Speaker 7: it was? And they said do you wanted to go
- 1:41:35Speaker 7: down like that? Al? And I said no, what can
- 1:41:37Speaker 7: I do about it? He said, well, come on down
- 1:41:40Speaker 7: to the office tomorrow we'll talk about it. And I
- 1:41:42Speaker 7: said okay. Then Lenoiselle started talking again and said, you know,
- 1:41:46Speaker 7: if anything happens out of this, you're going to get
- 1:41:49Speaker 7: a hot load of lead. And I said what do
- 1:41:52Speaker 7: you mean? And he said just what I said. You're
- 1:41:54Speaker 7: going to get a hot load of lead. In so
- 1:41:57Speaker 7: many words I don't care to comment on. Over the end,
- 1:42:01Speaker 7: do they threaten you with anything else? He says, no,
- 1:42:04Speaker 7: but that alone. When he pointed his finger at me
- 1:42:06Speaker 7: and said you're gonna get a hot load of lead
- 1:42:08Speaker 7: up your ass, he stopped short. So they threatened to
- 1:42:14Speaker 7: stick a gun up his ass and fire it off, Joe,
- 1:42:19Speaker 7: a hot load of lead, not a hot load of
- 1:42:23Speaker 7: something else, which I'm sure you're a word. But we'll
- 1:42:28Speaker 7: get there, I promise. Yeah.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: And thank you, thank you Scott so much.
- 1:42:33Speaker 7: Oh yes, thank you Scott. Nice to see it. Now.
- 1:42:38Speaker 7: Did they attempt to hold anything over you, Al said,
- 1:42:42Speaker 7: they got some pictures of me. They said they would
- 1:42:43Speaker 7: hold over my head if I came out with this.
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: They threatened to give these pictures out like they were
- 1:42:48Speaker 7: going out of style if I came out in the
- 1:42:50Speaker 7: open and said these charges of bribery. Do you know
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: if they had these pictures or were they just saying
- 1:42:56Speaker 7: they had pictures? Al said, I know they had to pictures.
- 1:43:01Speaker 7: Where did these pictures come from? Answer? Out of my
- 1:43:06Speaker 7: personal possessions. These are pictures taken of you, taken from you?
- 1:43:13Speaker 7: And he says, yes, in nineteen sixty three and held
- 1:43:17Speaker 7: ever since then, and for all I know, just for
- 1:43:20Speaker 7: an occasion like this. So what what do you think
- 1:43:25Speaker 7: they took out a Fairi's apartment, Joe. Probably a lot
- 1:43:29Speaker 7: of pictures of people in compromising positions, doing compromising things
- 1:43:34Speaker 7: that they shouldn't be doing.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: Yeah, which included Bobar and a picture.
- 1:43:41Speaker 7: Yep ding ding ding winter winter chicken dinner. So basically
- 1:43:48Speaker 7: they he went to the meeting, right, and he says,
- 1:43:52Speaker 7: would you say they are pictures showing you in a
- 1:43:54Speaker 7: somewhat compromising situation. Bobo says, yes, there are pictures you
- 1:44:00Speaker 7: would not want displayed on the street. He says, correct. Yes,
- 1:44:06Speaker 7: what happened after this meeting? Al says, I went up
- 1:44:10Speaker 7: to the office the next day, and I guess you
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: could say I was forced in having this stuff held
- 1:44:13Speaker 7: over my head and threatened to sign a statement to
- 1:44:16Speaker 7: the effect that I didn't hear their attempt to bribe
- 1:44:18Speaker 7: me or bribe money accept money for information for a
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: guaranteed job on an airline. So I signed a statement
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: stating that no bribe attempt was made. I didn't understand
- 1:44:27Speaker 7: this trade for information and job and money to be
- 1:44:30Speaker 7: a bribe. Why'd you sign the statement? Now? For fear?
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: Of course? One Number one, my wife, the care of
- 1:44:41Speaker 7: my family. And number two the pictures. You say they
- 1:44:45Speaker 7: threatened you, Did they threaten you in the office that day? Additionally, no, no, no?
- 1:44:50Speaker 7: How long were you in your office now? Six hours?
- 1:44:54Speaker 7: Did you have an attorney present? No? Did you ask
- 1:44:58Speaker 7: for an attorney to be present? They preferred, I didn't
- 1:45:02Speaker 7: bring him up here.
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: Uh yeah, you.
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: Get the drift. Okay, So the bottom line of this
- 1:45:15Speaker 7: incredible brivery and blackmail drama did actually go somewhere. Okay,
- 1:45:27Speaker 7: And it's very long, and I'm not going to read
- 1:45:29Speaker 7: it at all, but I will give you the conclusion. Okay,
- 1:45:34Speaker 7: he ended up taking a lie detective test and was
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: asked us, here is the questions, like, did you ever
- 1:45:40Speaker 7: know personally someone named Clay Shaw, Clem Bertrand or Clay Bertrand? No?
- 1:45:45Speaker 7: Did you ever know a man named Lee Harvey Oswald
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: or Leon Oswald personally? No? Did you actually believe Luiseelle
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: attempted to bribe you to give him false information concerning
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: the assassination? Yes? Did Luiselle threaten you, in effect, to
- 1:46:01Speaker 7: put a load of hot lead up you if you
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: ever accused him of a bribery? Yes? Did Loiselle threaten
- 1:46:08Speaker 7: to circulate compromising pictures of you? If you ever accused
- 1:46:11Speaker 7: him of attempting to bribe you? Yes, you answered in
- 1:46:16Speaker 7: that manner to the polygraph operator. Yes. Did he, at
- 1:46:20Speaker 7: the end of the lengthy examination tell you whether he
- 1:46:22Speaker 7: thought you were telling the truth and answered to all
- 1:46:24Speaker 7: these questions? Well, yeah he did. What did he say?
- 1:46:28Speaker 7: He said the results were positive, that there were no
- 1:46:30Speaker 7: lies in any of the statements that you just read
- 1:46:33Speaker 7: to me. Questions that you just read to me. So
- 1:46:37Speaker 7: why didn't they have the actual results of the light detectors?
- 1:46:41Speaker 7: But they're asking they're asking the person that was given
- 1:46:47Speaker 7: a lot of detective test what the results were. Does
- 1:46:50Speaker 7: that make any sense whatsoever? Oh, he news Joe, Yep.
- 1:47:02Speaker 7: So basically all this went to a grand jury investigation. Actually,
- 1:47:07Speaker 7: at the same time that the clay Shaw was going on,
- 1:47:10Speaker 7: or that clay shawtrial was going on in another part
- 1:47:13Speaker 7: of the courthouse, this bribery, this whole bribery scandal was
- 1:47:19Speaker 7: being in a grand jury, you know, where they figure
- 1:47:24Speaker 7: out whether or not they have enough evidence to move
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: forward with the case. Right. They came to the conclusion
- 1:47:31Speaker 7: that they did not, and they decided against charging Garrison
- 1:47:40Speaker 7: and his district attorneys all right, his DiscT attorney office
- 1:47:45Speaker 7: with a bribery case. So I thought that was interesting, yep.
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: And I'm surprised a grand jury would come back with that.
- 1:47:55Speaker 7: Yeah. Now, lit went inner viewed Boboff in twenty twenty. Really, yeah,
- 1:48:05Speaker 7: so Bobof. I looked on the education for him and
- 1:48:12Speaker 7: Bobof hasn't hadn't posted or been on there since twenty ten.
- 1:48:16Speaker 7: I figured he may have died or at some point.
- 1:48:18Speaker 7: I mean, but dude even gave out his home phone
- 1:48:20Speaker 7: number on the Education for him because people were questioning
- 1:48:24Speaker 7: whether or not he was the real al Boboff, and
- 1:48:28Speaker 7: he was like, well call me then here's my phone number.
- 1:48:31Speaker 7: Fuck you know what I mean, Like he actually put
- 1:48:34Speaker 7: it out there. But anyway, Litwin said he interviewed Bobof
- 1:48:39Speaker 7: in twenty twenty, okay, and he basically said that Garrison
- 1:48:47Speaker 7: got the timing all wrong. They left New Orleans in
- 1:48:50Speaker 7: the evening Very said nine, Coffee said seven, and Boboff
- 1:48:54Speaker 7: had said four. He said it was his idea to
- 1:49:00Speaker 7: go ice skating, not fairies. He was a champion roller
- 1:49:04Speaker 7: skater and had never gone ice skating and he wanted
- 1:49:07Speaker 7: to give it a try. There are no ice skating
- 1:49:10Speaker 7: rinks in New Orleans, and so the idea of a
- 1:49:12Speaker 7: road trip sounded like fun. He said it was ridiculous
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: for Garrison and others to question why Ferry would drive
- 1:49:18Speaker 7: through a thunderstorm. He said Fairry would fly straight through
- 1:49:21Speaker 7: thunderstorms and not around them. He couldn't care less about
- 1:49:24Speaker 7: the weather. He still had a fondness for Ferry. Bobof
- 1:49:28Speaker 7: says he was a really good guy, and then he
- 1:49:31Speaker 7: was all alike, yeah, wonder those got his opinion.
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: You can't make it up. You can't make it you can.
- 1:49:43Speaker 7: Bobof was a scared little kid back then. Garrison's men
- 1:49:48Speaker 7: followed him around and made sure he couldn't get a job.
- 1:49:51Speaker 7: They would go in and talk to any prospective employer
- 1:49:54Speaker 7: to take the pressure off. Bobof signed an affid David
- 1:49:58Speaker 7: saying that he was not bribed. He told me it
- 1:50:01Speaker 7: was the only way to get them to back off,
- 1:50:02Speaker 7: and they finally did. Does the tape exist where? So? Basically,
- 1:50:10Speaker 7: he was claiming that he had a audio tape of
- 1:50:13Speaker 7: Lynn l'oiselle attempting to bribe him to give him false information.
- 1:50:18Speaker 7: So he asked Bobov, does the tape still exist? Well,
- 1:50:22Speaker 7: Bobov believes that as lawyer, Hugh Exnicios has the tape somewhere.
- 1:50:28Speaker 7: I tried calling ex Nicios, but I can never get
- 1:50:31Speaker 7: a hold of him. By the way, back in nineteen
- 1:50:36Speaker 7: sixty seven, Garrison claimed the tape was altered. Later on,
- 1:50:39Speaker 7: Garrison claimed in his book that the bribery tape never existed,
- 1:50:43Speaker 7: but we know he was wrong since the New Orleans
- 1:50:45Speaker 7: Police Department investigated the bribery attempt. In their report, they
- 1:50:48Speaker 7: discussed listening to the tape. Conspiracy books don't mention this
- 1:50:53Speaker 7: part of the New Orleans police report in the footnotes
- 1:50:56Speaker 7: and Jim Dee Eugenio's book Destiny Portrayed, he writes that
- 1:50:59Speaker 7: Exnisos whatever told me that Shaw's lawyers absconded with the tape.
- 1:51:04Speaker 7: If this is accurate, then they might have had it altered.
- 1:51:08Speaker 7: They didn't abscond with the tape. Exnasios tried to sell
- 1:51:12Speaker 7: them the tape, but they refused to buy it. Joan
- 1:51:15Speaker 7: Mellon claims that the police discovered that the tape had
- 1:51:18Speaker 7: been altered in one of her sources is the Times
- 1:51:20Speaker 7: Pecunie article of June fifteenth, nineteen sixty seven, but the
- 1:51:24Speaker 7: story actually says no such thing, and only noted that
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: Garrison's men had been cleared of bribing bobof The reasoning
- 1:51:32Speaker 7: was that it was normal to pay informants for information.
- 1:51:38Speaker 7: So that's why they didn't decide to move forward with
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: the you know that case against Garrison. Interesting right, right?
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: He was like what twenty or was he twenty three
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: and Coffee was twenty. He's a young kid.
- 1:52:01Speaker 7: Who coffee. Uh yeah, Bobo was younger than Coffee by
- 1:52:06Speaker 7: l three or two or three years.
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: You know, So if you've been twenty, I think you
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: said born in forty three, and this was around obviously
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: sixty three.
- 1:52:16Speaker 7: Oh so now let me tie the conspiracy in and
- 1:52:24Speaker 7: a nice neat little bow for everybody so they can
- 1:52:29Speaker 7: figure they came here to get their whistle wedded. So
- 1:52:35Speaker 7: the conspiracy here, the big conspiracy here, basically comes from
- 1:52:41Speaker 7: Raymond ver Shears, who, as we know from Fred Litwin
- 1:52:46Speaker 7: when he was on basically has a chapter devoted in
- 1:52:49Speaker 7: his new book about raymmber Shears being a liar and
- 1:52:55Speaker 7: basically you can't believe anything he says, which is a
- 1:52:58Speaker 7: very convenient. And here two very specific allegations that Brasher's
- 1:53:05Speaker 7: LAIDs against Ferry and what he alleges Fairry told him firsthand. Okay,
- 1:53:16Speaker 7: so let's see Brasher's had been an old friend of
- 1:53:24Speaker 7: Dave Fairies and said that Ferry had told him something
- 1:53:26Speaker 7: of his role in the assassination, something he apparently only
- 1:53:31Speaker 7: did when very drunk. Broshers said that Ferry had told
- 1:53:34Speaker 7: him that he had driven to Houston the afternoon of
- 1:53:37Speaker 7: the assassination and his assignment was to wait there until
- 1:53:43Speaker 7: two members of the team arrived from Dallas. These men
- 1:53:48Speaker 7: were supposed to arrive by plane a single engine plane
- 1:53:51Speaker 7: piloted by a man named Carlos, whom Ferry knew well.
- 1:53:56Speaker 7: Ferry was then supposed to fly the two men in
- 1:53:59Speaker 7: a different plane to a distant location like we looked
- 1:54:04Speaker 7: in the map, possibly Mexico or Cuba or South America.
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: And maybe leaving.
- 1:54:19Speaker 7: Well that would have been where this Carlos guy was
- 1:54:22Speaker 7: would have would have flown out of and flown them
- 1:54:24Speaker 7: to Fairry. Yes. Uh. Fairy told Brashears he had done
- 1:54:31Speaker 7: what he was supposed to do and gone to wait
- 1:54:33Speaker 7: for Carlos at the ice skating rink in Houston, Okay,
- 1:54:39Speaker 7: but that it seems there had been a change of
- 1:54:40Speaker 7: plans because Carlos never showed up, which would explain Fairry's
- 1:54:46Speaker 7: actions at the ice rink and being consistently on the phone,
- 1:54:51Speaker 7: staying there for an hour and a half and then
- 1:54:53Speaker 7: leaving saying that he was going to be back all weekend,
- 1:54:55Speaker 7: and then never showing back up ever where. Shears said
- 1:55:01Speaker 7: that Ferry never told him who had given him his orders,
- 1:55:03Speaker 7: but that Fairy had described as Carlos as a Cuban exile.
- 1:55:08Speaker 7: Garrison and his team also later found out that Ferry
- 1:55:11Speaker 7: had not even gone ice skating himself, but instead spent
- 1:55:14Speaker 7: the entire time making him receiving calls at the payphone there.
- 1:55:19Speaker 7: The manager of the ice rink, Chuck Rowland, remembers Faerry
- 1:55:23Speaker 7: loudly introducing himself several times in between calls. Hi, Chuck,
- 1:55:28Speaker 7: It's David Ferry again over here, the guy with the
- 1:55:30Speaker 7: fucked up eyebrows and the red rug on his head.
- 1:55:35Speaker 7: Remember me, we just met like five minutes ago. You
- 1:55:38Speaker 7: know what I'm saying, Like, I know you remember, you
- 1:55:40Speaker 7: know I'd love that hard to forget. Garrison also discovered
- 1:55:46Speaker 7: that after traveling to Houston, Ferry continued on to Galveston, Texas,
- 1:55:51Speaker 7: and was there when Jack Ruby called the night before
- 1:55:54Speaker 7: he killed Lee Harvey Oswald. Let me read that again.
- 1:56:01Speaker 7: Ferry continued to Galveston and was there when Jack Ruby
- 1:56:06Speaker 7: called the night before he killed Lee Harvey Oswald. So
- 1:56:09Speaker 7: apparently Jack Ruby called Galveston the night before he decided
- 1:56:13Speaker 7: to kill Oswald. That's interesting, Ferry told investigators from Garrison's office. Then,
- 1:56:23Speaker 7: on his way back from the Texas trip, on the
- 1:56:25Speaker 7: afternoon of the twenty second, he stopped and uh friends.
- 1:56:31Speaker 7: He stopped at a friends in the town of Hammond
- 1:56:33Speaker 7: in Louisiana. When asking who this friend was, initially he
- 1:56:37Speaker 7: did say, but later said it was a friend who
- 1:56:41Speaker 7: would rather remain anonymous. Why would Ferry be stopping at
- 1:56:46Speaker 7: Hammond Well, maybe because none other than Clay Shawl had
- 1:56:48Speaker 7: a home there. Conspiracy buff buff for Sheer. Story of
- 1:56:55Speaker 7: Carlos the Cuban Pilot reminds me of a story told
- 1:56:57Speaker 7: by the author of several jfk assassination booksman Ugh Smith.
- 1:57:01Speaker 7: In the early nineteen nineties, Smith was contacted by a
- 1:57:04Speaker 7: man named Hank Gordon, not his real name, who said
- 1:57:07Speaker 7: he had worked at Red Redbird Airport in nineteen sixty
- 1:57:11Speaker 7: three Joe Here we Go. Gordon said he was a
- 1:57:15Speaker 7: plane mechanic and in the weeks leading up to the
- 1:57:17Speaker 7: twenty second he had worked on a plane which had
- 1:57:19Speaker 7: been sold to a buyer via telephone. The plane was
- 1:57:22Speaker 7: a DC three single engine, and Gordon was to check
- 1:57:26Speaker 7: the plane and make sure that it was ready for
- 1:57:27Speaker 7: the closing of the sale. The buyer's pilot also worked
- 1:57:31Speaker 7: with Hank on the plane in the time they worked together.
- 1:57:34Speaker 7: The pilot told Gordon he had been born in Cuba
- 1:57:37Speaker 7: and had been a pilot in the Cuban air Force
- 1:57:39Speaker 7: under Castro. He also told Gordon that his boss, the
- 1:57:44Speaker 7: buyer of the plane, was a US Air Force colonel.
- 1:57:49Speaker 7: The work on the plane was supposed to be finished
- 1:57:51Speaker 7: by the evening of Thursday, the twenty first of November.
- 1:57:54Speaker 7: That Thursday afternoon, Gordon said the pilot had been chatting
- 1:57:58Speaker 7: of this and that when he suddenly turned serious and
- 1:58:01Speaker 7: told him that they were going to kill the president.
- 1:58:05Speaker 7: When Gordon asked him what he meant, the pilot told
- 1:58:07Speaker 7: him that he had been a mercenary pilot hired by
- 1:58:09Speaker 7: the CIA, involved in the Bay of Pigs operation. He
- 1:58:13Speaker 7: added that there was a lot of anger amongst those
- 1:58:15Speaker 7: involved in the failure of Kennedy in sending out air cover.
- 1:58:19Speaker 7: He said that they would kill not only Kennedy, but
- 1:58:21Speaker 7: Robert Kennedy and any other goddamn Kennedy who became president.
- 1:58:26Speaker 7: Gordon and the Cuban did not manage to finish the
- 1:58:29Speaker 7: work by Thursday evening, so they were still working on
- 1:58:31Speaker 7: the plane on Friday, the twenty second of November, which
- 1:58:35Speaker 7: could possibly be the reason Joe that that plane never
- 1:58:38Speaker 7: made it from Dallas to Houston. Carl, Yeah, the plane
- 1:58:45Speaker 7: couldn't fly by lunchtime though they were finished and Hank
- 1:58:52Speaker 7: and as Hank was setting out to where the plane was,
- 1:58:56Speaker 7: he heard from a friend that JFK had just been shot.
- 1:58:59Speaker 7: He reached the plane, the pilot was getting ready for departure,
- 1:59:02Speaker 7: and when Gordon told him what had happened, the pilot
- 1:59:06Speaker 7: said that he had told him this would happen. Remember.
- 1:59:10Speaker 7: An interesting point is that the pilot also told Gordon
- 1:59:13Speaker 7: that his boss was to return to Florida, an important
- 1:59:17Speaker 7: place in the assassination. Regarding the Cuban exiles, Smith's surmises
- 1:59:21Speaker 7: that Gordon had unwittingly worked on the very plane that
- 1:59:24Speaker 7: was used as a getaway craft for the assassins. It
- 1:59:27Speaker 7: strikes me that Gordon's Cuban pilot could be Fairiy's associate Carlos,
- 1:59:32Speaker 7: although it is impossible to know for sure. Brosher's was
- 1:59:35Speaker 7: another witness who had seen Shaw and Ferry together. He
- 1:59:39Speaker 7: told Garrison that he had first met shawl in sixty
- 1:59:41Speaker 7: five at a bar at the French Quarter. Brashers said
- 1:59:45Speaker 7: that he had also seen Shaw and Ferry on several occasions.
- 1:59:48Speaker 7: That once Forshier's had been with Faerry waiting for Shaw
- 1:59:52Speaker 7: on the corner of a street in the French Quarter
- 1:59:54Speaker 7: when shaw driven up in a large black automobile. Shawl
- 1:59:58Speaker 7: got out, gave Fairy a brown envelope, looked in Brasher's direction,
- 2:00:04Speaker 7: and told Ferry that the FBI was looking for Brasher's
- 2:00:07Speaker 7: and then drove off again. Brasher said that after charl left,
- 2:00:11Speaker 7: Ferry opened up the envelope and it was full of cash, cashish, cashish.
- 2:00:20Speaker 7: They go on talking about somebody named Carlos had been
- 2:00:23Speaker 7: seen around five point forty four Camp Street and blah
- 2:00:29Speaker 7: blah blah. So I just thought it was interesting in
- 2:00:34Speaker 7: that there's your conspiracy theory that how all this stuff
- 2:00:38Speaker 7: could possibly be tied together in one former fashion or another.
- 2:00:43Speaker 7: I don't think it was Carlos Brignier NK. And I
- 2:00:48Speaker 7: don't think it was Carlos Kiroga. There is mention in
- 2:00:53Speaker 7: the documents of a Carlos Lopez, but I have no
- 2:00:57Speaker 7: idea who in the hell that is.
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: I think it was something type of curl or major,
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: And of course Larry Hancock has done a ton of
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: great work on that. And I think maybe the guy
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: you mentioned with the alias was Wayne January.
- 2:01:19Speaker 7: Possibly who was Yeah, I don't know, yeah, but then
- 2:01:24Speaker 7: you hear oh, but what about uh, what's her face?
- 2:01:27Speaker 7: June Cobb once she had read Bird two in a plane,
- 2:01:32Speaker 7: HROs it's working on the planes. Planes supposed to fly fly.
- 2:01:37Speaker 7: Who knows right well?
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: There was rumored a woman in the car car. I believe,
- 2:01:45Speaker 1: and I remember vaguely, but.
- 2:01:48Speaker 7: For sure, I just think Joe, based on everything that
- 2:01:53Speaker 7: we've heard today about the events from all different kinds
- 2:01:57Speaker 7: of angles about what David Ferry was up to during
- 2:02:03Speaker 7: his lost weekend, what it sounds like to me, and
- 2:02:08Speaker 7: this is just conspiracy rob speculation here is that something
- 2:02:15Speaker 7: went wrong in Houston. And then it's quite possible that
- 2:02:21Speaker 7: Fairy and the boys were there on November twenty second
- 2:02:25Speaker 7: and not the twenty third, that they were there a
- 2:02:30Speaker 7: day early. Right according to the motel slip that was
- 2:02:35Speaker 7: written over, they had them arriving there at four or
- 2:02:40Speaker 7: five am in the morning on November twenty second, and
- 2:02:44Speaker 7: then that was changed later to the twenty third. And
- 2:02:49Speaker 7: the only people that saw Ferry at Marcello's trial was
- 2:02:57Speaker 7: Marcello's lawyer in Marcello's secretary. So how much can we
- 2:03:01Speaker 7: trust them if, as to be believed, Gray Gill was
- 2:03:08Speaker 7: balls deep in this whole thing. I mean, we all
- 2:03:13Speaker 7: know the allegations from Beckham and all the shit that
- 2:03:17Speaker 7: Gray Gill was in with getting people out of jail,
- 2:03:22Speaker 7: dealing with mafia's. I mean, that's he's you know, he's
- 2:03:25Speaker 7: representing these very powerful people and he's got a lot
- 2:03:31Speaker 7: of money. He's got a lot of access to money.
- 2:03:35Speaker 7: He's a doer, he makes things happen, he fixes things,
- 2:03:38Speaker 7: he's a fixer. You know, it just seems me like this,
- 2:03:46Speaker 7: this something was supposed to happen that weekend that didn't happen,
- 2:03:50Speaker 7: and Ferry got real damn lucky that he dodged a
- 2:03:55Speaker 7: bullet and it came back only to realize that somebody
- 2:03:58Speaker 7: had dined him out anyway, and he was being investigated
- 2:04:03Speaker 7: by the FBI, but he squirreled his way out of it.
- 2:04:06Speaker 7: You know, there's even when we were talking about the
- 2:04:09Speaker 7: library card, Oswald's library card earlier. You know, there's even
- 2:04:14Speaker 7: a story from the clay Shaw trial of a transcript
- 2:04:18Speaker 7: from Jesse James Gardner where he was staying on Magazine Street.
- 2:04:22Speaker 7: His landlady, she says David Ferry came to her house
- 2:04:31Speaker 7: asking about his library card, seeing if Oswald had left
- 2:04:36Speaker 7: it behind. Why would she lie about that? Now she
- 2:04:43Speaker 7: says this, She says that it happened on the night
- 2:04:45Speaker 7: of the twenty second, which either way you cut the pie,
- 2:04:51Speaker 7: that's not a good date for David Ferry to be
- 2:04:54Speaker 7: on her front porch.
- 2:04:55Speaker 11: Okay, but if he didn't leave, if he didn't leave,
- 2:05:01Speaker 11: leave until nine pm, you know, on remember twenty second,
- 2:05:09Speaker 11: he very well could have showed up there at seven
- 2:05:11Speaker 11: o'clock and been like, hey, you know, and he seemed
- 2:05:15Speaker 11: you name's David Ferry.
- 2:05:16Speaker 7: Do you know that guy used to live here, Oswald?
- 2:05:20Speaker 7: Did you leave my you know, my library card? Or
- 2:05:23Speaker 7: you know, he's frantically looking for this thing. So it's
- 2:05:27Speaker 7: just a lot to take in and a lot to
- 2:05:31Speaker 7: think about when it comes to David Ferry. And if
- 2:05:35Speaker 7: only you know and then you then Joe, you can
- 2:05:40Speaker 7: talk about the death of David Faerry. It's very mysterious timing,
- 2:05:48Speaker 7: right because I mean, the Garrison thing is just ramping up.
- 2:05:51Speaker 7: They're interviewing him. They kept him sequestered at a hotel
- 2:05:55Speaker 7: for a couple of days, they let him go. He
- 2:05:58Speaker 7: comes back to his apartment, right and then he does
- 2:06:03Speaker 7: an interview in the middle of the night with a
- 2:06:07Speaker 7: newspaper reporter, and this guy's walking up behind him, you know,
- 2:06:15Speaker 7: like farious complaining that he doesn't feel good. But the
- 2:06:17Speaker 7: newspaper reporter said it almost seemed like he was putting
- 2:06:20Speaker 7: on an act, you know, like like you know, like
- 2:06:23Speaker 7: he was struggling, you know, like, and then all of
- 2:06:26Speaker 7: a sudden, the next morning he's dead, laying in his bed,
- 2:06:32Speaker 7: button naked eyes, open table full of pills, with a
- 2:06:37Speaker 7: copy of Edward j Epstein's inquest open to a page
- 2:06:42Speaker 7: on the chair next to his bed.
- 2:06:46Speaker 12: Yeah, come on, man, come on, man, come on man,
- 2:06:52Speaker 12: And especially with you take into account a lot of.
- 2:06:59Speaker 1: Steath within twenty four hours.
- 2:07:00Speaker 7: Of yeah tight and two type letters in the event
- 2:07:05Speaker 7: of my death. And guess what, folks, David Ferry left
- 2:07:10Speaker 7: everything that he owned to one person and that person
- 2:07:16Speaker 7: was al Bobo. So do with that what you will, folks. Yeah, and.
- 2:07:31Speaker 1: I have two There are ice skating tidbits that it's
- 2:07:36Speaker 1: my turn to surprise as you Oh okay, yeah, in
- 2:07:41Speaker 1: terms of the assassination that I guarantee be ninety percent
- 2:07:46Speaker 1: of the audience just does not know about. And when
- 2:07:49Speaker 1: I was searching ice skating rinks today, I came across
- 2:07:53Speaker 1: the Warrant commissioned interview of mister George Sunder and mister Hubert,
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: who is questioning him, is acting about his physical ability Rubies,
- 2:08:08Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden he goes, did he
- 2:08:09Speaker 1: do an ice skating? And I was like, huh, that's random. Yeah,
- 2:08:15Speaker 1: mister sentator, we were ice skating once. Was he good
- 2:08:18Speaker 1: at it? He was really good?
- 2:08:20Speaker 7: Yeah. Uh.
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: You just know of one occasion and he had been
- 2:08:25Speaker 1: ice skates.
- 2:08:26Speaker 8: Uh.
- 2:08:28Speaker 1: I was with him and a group of people. They
- 2:08:29Speaker 1: asked me to go to and I did suffer. That
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: was some good George Senator. So it's like, where is
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: this coming from?
- 2:08:38Speaker 7: Well, Rob.
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: As we like to a reference and guess of the
- 2:08:47Speaker 1: show Larry Hancock and his Tipping Point essay or book.
- 2:08:52Speaker 7: Uh.
- 2:08:53Speaker 1: Harry Bolton uh apparently uh confirmed to the Work Commission
- 2:09:01Speaker 1: that Ruby was friendly with many police officers enough so
- 2:09:08Speaker 1: on occasion, Ruby was socialized with some of them. Oulton
- 2:09:11Speaker 1: stated that he had injured his leg and was on
- 2:09:14Speaker 1: medical believe at the time the assassination, that's when he
- 2:09:18Speaker 1: was guarding that estate. That he never told anyone who
- 2:09:21Speaker 1: it was, and his injury occurred when he was ice skating.
- 2:09:26Speaker 1: Harry Elsen. However, in Oulton's work Commission testimony, he failed
- 2:09:32Speaker 1: to mention and that he had been ice skating along
- 2:09:34Speaker 1: with Jack Ruby at the time the injury occurred. So
- 2:09:38Speaker 1: I go back and I wonder why mister Hubert as
- 2:09:41Speaker 1: sender about ice skating and this pops up and the
- 2:09:46Speaker 1: skating party include Ruby, Harry Elsen, Kathy Ka who was
- 2:09:52Speaker 1: a stripper, and Harry Angele Angel I believe also a stripper.
- 2:09:59Speaker 1: In her person communication with researcher Ian Griggs and in
- 2:10:04Speaker 1: the Radical Right and murder of Jeff kay Sherry Angel
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: has said that Jeff Ruby, who she worked for, and
- 2:10:11Speaker 1: Harry Els and Joe Cody, another DPT officer, went ice
- 2:10:16Speaker 1: skating together once a week.
- 2:10:19Speaker 7: Oh wow.
- 2:10:21Speaker 1: For a period of time, Cody was tight with Billy Englin,
- 2:10:25Speaker 1: who's regular patrol district included the Harlandale address in East
- 2:10:30Speaker 1: oak Cliff where the vi Anti Castro lived. It was
- 2:10:35Speaker 1: also Tippets regular patrol district. So you have Harry Olsen,
- 2:10:41Speaker 1: you have a couple of strippers, you have Jack Ruby
- 2:10:45Speaker 1: ice skating as well, you have the Warran Commission mentioning it.
- 2:10:48Speaker 1: And apparently when on the day of the twenty second,
- 2:10:53Speaker 1: when Harry Olson was guarding that estate, right that he
- 2:10:57Speaker 1: never that private estate he never really talking about. He
- 2:11:04Speaker 1: was on entering leave from an ice skating incident.
- 2:11:08Speaker 7: Yeah. And oh, by the way, Joe, Joe Cody, Yeah,
- 2:11:14Speaker 7: he bought the pistol and gave to Jack Ruby that
- 2:11:19Speaker 7: he shot Oswald with. Really, Yes, that pistol came from
- 2:11:27Speaker 7: Joe Cody. Joe bought it and gave it to Jack
- 2:11:30Speaker 7: Ruby as a gift. Wow. And they were all He
- 2:11:36Speaker 7: actually used to be skating a couple of times a
- 2:11:38Speaker 7: week together. They would meet in the afternoons about two
- 2:11:41Speaker 7: to three o'clock and skate for an hour a couple
- 2:11:43Speaker 7: of times a week for a good period of time.
- 2:11:45Speaker 7: They became very good friends, enough so that Cody bought
- 2:11:50Speaker 7: Jack Ruby a pistol that he happened to shoot Lee
- 2:11:53Speaker 7: Harvey Oswald with.
- 2:11:54Speaker 1: Wow, and ladies and gentlemen, we did not plan us.
- 2:12:01Speaker 1: I surprised Robot. I did not know about Joe Cody's
- 2:12:04Speaker 1: uh the next show. But ice skinning was a big thing.
- 2:12:09Speaker 8: I guess.
- 2:12:11Speaker 1: At least there a certain elements.
- 2:12:17Speaker 7: I know what you just did there, I see what
- 2:12:19Speaker 7: you did there. All right, folks, it's time for Denale
- 2:12:22Speaker 7: to come up in this bitch and dance us home.
- 2:12:25Speaker 7: We hope you enjoyed the show. You know we got it.
- 2:12:28Speaker 7: We got a little guest guests run there for a
- 2:12:32Speaker 7: little bit, but we're back to your normal form and
- 2:12:35Speaker 7: hopefully next time Joe won't be so ship sounding. We
- 2:12:40Speaker 7: will try to figure that out again. That's why I
- 2:12:43Speaker 7: tried to pick up and do most of the heavy
- 2:12:45Speaker 7: lifting on this episode, because it is. It is grating
- 2:12:48Speaker 7: it you will see when you watched this back. But
- 2:12:50Speaker 7: without further agree and what thank you yes, yes, no,
- 2:12:58Speaker 7: So with that, we thank you guys for hanging out

- 2:13:41Speaker 13: Dino in Patty's prison. He did not talk for the record,
- 2:13:46Speaker 13: but he said, come to Bourbon Street and I'll show
- 2:13:49Speaker 13: you what I think of the case. The greatest lies
- 2:14:14Speaker 13: are told in the name of truth. The greatest crimes
- 2:14:17Speaker 13: are committed in the name of justice. The quotation is
- 2:14:20Speaker 13: Jim Garrison's. It could be used for him or against
- 2:14:23Speaker 13: him in this strange case.
- 2:14:25Speaker 8: Good night, Well, that's awkward.
- 2:14:57Speaker 7: That sound is horrible. All right, peace, Thanks everybody, We'll
- 2:15:01Speaker 7: see later. Deuces letters
