- 0:01You want to be better at flirting. Things they're working out for you.
- 0:04I do. Well, here's some easy, easy tips. People go wild
- 0:08for people who flirt in these ways. Okay, for example, be curious
- 0:14and to me, this one from my limited experience, this is like the
- 0:18easiest one. Like all you got to do is when you're talking to somebody,
- 0:22ask questions about them, and then when they say something, ask another
- 0:26question about that. It's a very very endearing quality about you, Pike.
- 0:30I will say you you're very good at asking questions. I don't know,
- 0:33but really interesting. Wow, I've noticed that about you. Do you suspect
- 0:37I've been flirting with you? And I really appreciate it. You got me.
- 0:41It gets me through the day. Be curious, that's a great uh.
- 0:43It's a great quality depth even if you're not flirting right, just in
- 0:46any context some people. There's the reason I do that, I think is
- 0:50because I've just learned that so many people only want to talk about themselves or
- 0:55their experiences. You know. I remember college like kind of really noticing that.
- 0:59Some people will only wait until you're done talking so they can share something
- 1:03about It might be related to what you said, but it's from their perspective.
- 1:07That makes me think of the time that I am amazing. Oh,
- 1:11your grandpa passed away. Well, guess what, I have a grandpa and
- 1:14he likes fishing and he's still alive. So haha, yeah, exactly.
- 1:19So I sort of just do the opposite just to sort of even out the
- 1:22scale. You know, you're doing a great job. You too, and
- 1:25it makes me think, it makes me think that you like me. Well,
- 1:26I like you because you're not one of those people. I will say
- 1:30that this has just become a sort of flirty right now, flirt sash.
- 1:34Yeah. Also, people go wild for people who don't flirt at inappropriate times.
- 1:38You have to be conscious of when's the right time. Examples of not
- 1:42good times would be work meetings, parent teacher conferences, really any professional meeting.
- 1:48When are you flirting at a parent teacher conference with a teacher or with
- 1:51your spouse? I gotta thinks it's the teacher. Also, be relatable another
- 1:56little trick. People go crazy when people are relatable. What does that mean
- 1:59though, Hey, I like Kim Kardashian, right, I don't. I
- 2:02honestly don't know. Yeah, I mean, be genuine, don't pretend that's
- 2:07better yeah, because even if you're a nerd, but if you're like kind
- 2:10of passionate. There's a scene in one of the Mission Impossible movies where he's
- 2:14faking. He's faking being a regular guy and his job is traffic control or
- 2:17something. Yeah, and he's like he's just goes on this jag about how
- 2:22He's like, yeah, if somebody hits their brakes in the middle of the
- 2:23city, you can track the the that for two hundred miles the effects of
- 2:28that, and all the women around him are like, oh, I would
- 2:30definitely marry that guy, really because he's passionate about it. Oh, that
- 2:34is a good point, even though it's nerdy. Yeah, I thought that
- 2:36was a very good point about being a person and just loving your life,
- 2:39loving what you love. Yeah, and people, Yeah, that is interesting.
- 2:44Also, smile and make eye contact as a given right. I can't
- 2:47stop staring at you lock eyes a couple of times. I'm the opposite a
- 2:51man and I talk about it a lot. I just not a big eye
- 2:53contact guy. I really have to force it, you know, you really
- 2:55have to think about it. And then you think about what's too long to
- 3:00be locking eyes with somebody, Like if you're in a really professional situation where
- 3:02you're you know, you're going in thinking I firm handshake, lock eyes,
- 3:07but then it gets awkward at a point. A lot of times do I'll
- 3:10I'll give myself a challenge, Like if I lock eyes with someone else,
- 3:14I'm gonna I'm like, I'm gonna make this person break eye contact first.
- 3:17Then you win. Yeah, then you get their job, right, you
- 3:21know, and then I'm and yeah. It's like it's like a dog and
- 3:23a fire hydrant, you know, similar, similar situation, similar, And
- 3:28the number one way to flirt because people go wild for it. You got
- 3:31to signal your availability, all right. It's not the most uh physically appealing
- 3:38people who get approached, but the ones who signal their availability and their confidence.
- 3:43So one way to do that would be I'm single. That was so
- 3:51dumb you to think that. I before we talked about this, really the
- 3:55only reason we talked about this was to have that. And the payoff was
- 4:00there. What do they call those guys in medieval times trumpeters, trumpet,
- 4:03trumpe tears. They had like a job that was their job. They were
- 4:06like they would announce stuff back then. That was probably like pretty prime job.
- 4:11It was right, pretty easy too. It's called a Harold Pike.
- 4:14Harold. The Harold is the one though, Oh the Harold's the announcement.
- 4:17Hark the Harold, Angels sing the Harald. I never knew it. I
- 4:21thought that Harold was like like HARKing the Harold was like priming up the guitar,
- 4:27like getting you know, when when you're warming up, or like you
- 4:30know your I don't know. I don't play guitar, but it seems like
- 4:31I got a Harold Harold. That guy had a great uncle, Harold.
- 4:34No, yeah, he was the He ran the meat department of the Moorhead
- 4:39Hornbockers for years, no decades. He was in charge of the whole meat
- 4:43department. Harold. Yeah, he was Harold the meat guy. People loved
- 4:46Harold. You go to hornboy. It became a destination for the townspeople of
- 4:49Morehead. Did he hit the trumpet and go the meat? We have the
- 4:53meat arloin on sale today. Got Harold Pike? It a minute in the
- 4:58morning, big Nutty. We're at on movie remakes, sequels, remakes.
- 5:03A lot is to be said about it. But a new survey done of
- 5:06millennials in gen Z found that seventy four percent of them prefer to watch original
- 5:12content rather than franchises or remakes. So sequels, you know, we were
- 5:16just talking about Scream seven. I would rather get an original. You know.
- 5:21I don't hate a remake. I don't hate a sequel. I should
- 5:25say hate a remake, though you do generally. Yeah, I'm with you
- 5:29too. I do love sequels, especially just movies that you love, and
- 5:32I get that they're never is good, except for in the cases of Home
- 5:36Alone, American Pie and well that's it. But Marvel went on a good
- 5:43run there. No, I don't. I don't get into that sort of
- 5:45Oh really, they're too cool for school for a superhero movies. That is
- 5:48true, that's true. But you know, sequels I like just for the
- 5:51nostalgia mostly, you know, like when they did Anchorman two, which was
- 5:55a great movie. It was hilarious. Of course, you'll never top the
- 5:58first one, and I'll never see it. I don't think I'll ever see
- 6:00it. You spent some time with it, you have a couple of hours.
- 6:02Throw on Inkreman two really really good, Dumb and Dumber two, same
- 6:05thing. Just love to see them doing it again. Jim Carrey and Jeff
- 6:10Daniels, but not as funny or even close to as good as the first
- 6:13one. Dumb and Dumber is just so good it is, it just can't
- 6:15It's the perfect movie. It's equal parts dumb and hilarious as it is heartwarming,
- 6:21warming, just a good story. Really, that's original content, the
- 6:25content that people crave. Apparently. It's kind of interesting though, that so
- 6:29many movies like ore remakes you just don't know it. That's true too,
- 6:31So yeah, you know, I think they mean original content in that they
- 6:34are not aware of the right because a lot of movies are based on books.
- 6:39Do you call that original content? Not really, if you didn't come
- 6:41up with the story. It just needs to feel original. Like a rap
- 6:44song that has a sample from an amazing riff in the seventies. Yeah,
- 6:47like every nineties rap song I love. I usually listen to rap all the
- 6:53time. My parents would be like, you know, they're just ripping this
- 6:55off. No they're not, No way, this is brand new. This
- 6:58isn't Stevie wonder the chorus you liar? What movie needs a remake because it
- 7:04was so bad the first time? Got a lot of texts and comments on
- 7:08our Facebook page, A lot of people say Tremors. I don't remember that
- 7:12being a poor movie, but everybody loves Tremors. It's like a cult classic.
- 7:15I hate talking movies because I've just seen so few. That's so weird
- 7:18by you just seem like a guy who's just so cultural when I say so
- 7:21few, though, Like, I bet you I've seen hundred movies. You've
- 7:25seen more than a hundred movies. That's a good question. How many movies
- 7:28have you seen? I always like to joke about the like when I die,
- 7:31I'll get to see my stats. Oh yeah, so I always joke
- 7:34like, how many pounds of Doritos did I eat in my life? Sure?
- 7:36Right? How many movies have I seen? Total number of movies,
- 7:41total amount of hours wasted on film. That's why I don't watch a lot
- 7:45of movies. It's too much of a commitment. How many times whow I'll
- 7:47sit down and watch eight episodes of a document or a series on Netflix.
- 7:51That's not the same at all, No more digestive. No. I also
- 7:57looked up the worst movie remakes of all time? Huh according to Rod Tomatoes,
- 8:01which is sort of the holy grail of movie reviews. Yeah, ones
- 8:05that came up were like, bangcock dangerous way. I tell you that was
- 8:09a bad way. Hey, that's a Nick Cage joint. By the way,
- 8:11I do love Nicholas Cage. Was that Cage? Yeah? Cage?
- 8:16Good? Okage? Somebody it's funny to say that, because somebody commented on
- 8:18our Facebook page any movie with Nicholas Cage after twenty twelve. That's actually a
- 8:22good point because in the nineties Nick Cage was killing it. Conair is one
- 8:26of the great films of our time. Have you seen con Air? I
- 8:28know the premise in that they're like jail guys. He has this beautiful long
- 8:33hair. I don't think it's his real hair, pike, but my god,
- 8:37is it gorgeous. There's a there's the gift of him he's wearing yeah,
- 8:41yeah, he's wearing the white tank top and then he's like his hair
- 8:43is like blowing in the wind. That's from that movie Fantastic. Oh yeah
- 8:46gets in the song from this song is from them, Oh man, who.
- 8:52I don't know if we're gonna play the whole thing that week, probably
- 8:54are gonna have to. It'll just be you and me yelling over this like
- 8:58bad karaoke on Friday. I don't know when I discovered this song, but
- 9:01I love it so much. This Lee Anne Ryme it is she Antwishi,
- 9:07who both did a version, I think, which is a weird nineties thing
- 9:11to do. Really, Yeah, they did do that a lot. So
- 9:13is his hair blown in the wind when the song plays? No, this
- 9:18song plays at the end when he finally, after ten years of being in
- 9:20jail, gets to see his girl. Oh, what crime did he commit?
- 9:24He was a marine? Do you want to hear the whole premise?
- 9:26He was a marine and he had gotten back from the war, and then
- 9:30there were these three dudes who were trying to hit on his girl at the
- 9:33bar, killed him, and he beat the crap out of him and killed
- 9:35one of the guys. And they said because of his extensive army training,
- 9:39he had to go to jail, even though it was self defense, because
- 9:41he was more dangerous than a normal man. Interesting. So then he's in
- 9:45jail, but he's still a hero, he's still a good man. And
- 9:46then the cons take over the transport airplane, the prison transport airplane, and
- 9:52he has to get him. Oh, so he wasn't part of the scheme.
- 9:56Now, he was just happened to be on the plane with him because
- 9:58he was getting out of jail. I wanted to get home. All he
- 10:01was doing was trying to get home, Pike, and then he gets stuck
- 10:03in this situation where the cons take over the plane. Can you believe that
- 10:05this is a great film. I gotta go watch that movie. It's incredible.
- 10:09All right, So do you have any movie remakes you actually enjoy?
- 10:13I love Mortal Kombat because if you watch two hours, you get this song
- 10:16round one. Come on hit me, yes, I have spent so much
- 10:24time playing Mortal Kombat in the nineteen nineties. Come on this song. Can
- 10:28you just let him say yet him, let him yell Mortal Kombat. Crank
- 10:31it up, baby, Incredible, incredible. I could sit here if I
- 10:39knew it wasn't so uninteresting for people to listen to. I would just want
- 10:41to sit here and name people from Mortal Kombat, Sonia, sub Zero,
- 10:46Johnny Cage, Scorpion. Alright, alright, I'm pulling the plot. Now
- 10:52here's what you need. Some more now in for Amanda Lee, James Tyler,
- 10:58Good morning, Pike. The North Dakota State women's basketball team came up
- 11:01short of winning their first Summit League tournament championship. The Bison fell sixty seven
- 11:07to fifty four to top seed in South Dakota. Of all teams, had
- 11:11to be that dang team that's South Dakota. Really has had our number in
- 11:15multiple sports. You know. I just had this belief that we were the
- 11:18better at Dakota. It's just kind of grained in me, and now I'm
- 11:22questioning everything. It's because we're on top, does not mean that we are
- 11:26better than them. Pike. I wonder if you asked, if you pulled
- 11:28the rest of the United States. I wonder what their perception is of the
- 11:31Dakota. Yeah, who's the I think they think it's one thing. Yes,
- 11:35I was listening to a podcast not long ago, these two dudes in
- 11:37New York, and he was like, Dakota. Where's Dakota. We just
- 11:41called it Dakota. OK. They weren't even talking about North or South.
- 11:46It was great. Singer Eric Carman has died at the age of seventy four.
- 11:54He was famous for his hits in the seventies, such as this one
- 11:58and Hungry Eyes. Three Eyes. Yes, Wow, Aaron Carmon, thank
- 12:05you for your service. It's from Dirty Dancing Hungry Eyes. I haven't seen
- 12:09that film. What I've never seen that picture, not one time? Are
- 12:15you who's in it? Have you seen Patrick Swayzey with his shirt off?
- 12:18I don't think I've seen Swayze in a movie. I've seen him on like
- 12:22late night interviews. Fun fact about James huge Dirty Dancing fan, larger Swayze
- 12:28fan. Is that right? You go nuts for Swaye Love Patrick Swayzey.
- 12:35I mean Roadhouse, Dirty Dancing, just those two movies alone, that even
- 12:39counting Ghost All Timer. He just like is that movie? Everything about him?
- 12:43Is he a cool guy? He's just a cool guy. And I
- 12:46was Swayze still with us. He's been dead for years. Yes, he
- 12:50died of some sort of a stomach cancer colon quick. Yeah, but it
- 12:54was hard on him. It was sad to see because he was, you
- 12:56know, all through the eighties and zero body fat, just look and lean
- 13:00all the time. He did ballet and martial arts. He was just like
- 13:03the super dude. Plus the hair pipe. All I picture is the tightest
- 13:07gene you've ever seen. And he pulled him off, he'd paint him on
- 13:11and then he'd still roundhouse kick a guy in the face, all right.
- 13:15P swaze and then he would make a clay pot. Would that meymore?
- 13:18It was the guy who died. Who's a story about Eric Carmel? Did
- 13:24they have a cause of death for Eric Carmon? No? Is that where
- 13:28it's gonna it's a mystery, Like we'll put someone on the case. We're
- 13:37waiting for the autopsy results. A new study has found the thirty six percent
- 13:41of Americans with partners appreciate their when their better half is not home. Pike.
- 13:46We did a study on that. This is in part because they don't
- 13:48have to share a bed. Oh what's that st bed you got? We
- 13:52have a full king size betull that's a oxymoron. It's a king size bet.
- 13:58It's not a full I did grow up. I remember when I was
- 14:01a kid, I made the transition from a twin to a fold. I
- 14:03thought I was like I thought life wouldn't get better, And it didn't.
- 14:07Life didn't get better at pre That was the peak was when I got a
- 14:11full bed. But it did prove what about you? Well, depending on
- 14:15where I'm sleeping, it's a queen or a king. Really? Oh you
- 14:18guys still are James recently got engaged and so you haven't because you're a good
- 14:22Catholic boy. You haven't moved in together. That's correct, gotcha? So
- 14:26would you rather be? I feel like Carmen enough justice. So we got
- 14:33to bring back what are you saying? But I did swayzey enough justice?
- 14:35Absolutely, you know we did right by Swayze. I don't like to be
- 14:39all by myself. What about you? I will say? And maybe I'm
- 14:43the only honest guy out there, but who care? There are downsides of
- 14:46sleeping with somebody else. You know. First of all, I am very
- 14:50conscious of my breath. I'm a bit of a mouth breather at night.
- 14:56Hence why I sound like this right now. And so I'm honestly worried about
- 15:00facing her. If I turn over and my wife Lauren is facing me,
- 15:03I know I need to face the other way because I don't want to disrupt
- 15:07her sleep. That is the That is a good point for me. It's
- 15:09like, I'm worried that, you know, in the middle of the night
- 15:11when I'm sleeping, something will happen like that. I'm not controlling like some
- 15:18gas will you Sure? Well, once you relax the muscles, they're capable
- 15:22of anything, and then they are Yeah, yeah, and I'm not in
- 15:28control of it, and I don't like that. Well, yeah, I
- 15:31should be better about that. It's like talking in your sleep. You don't
- 15:35know what you're saying, but you could say something that could ruin you.
- 15:37I know. You know that this gives me a lot of anxiety, so
- 15:39being alone would be I mean, it's my wife tells me I do talk
- 15:43in my sleep, and that's scary. And people never tell you what you
- 15:46say. No, I know, they're just like, well, you were
- 15:48so funny when you were talking in your sleep. What did I say?
- 15:52Well, I don't know. You're just rumbling. Uh huh. It's like
- 15:54she's just been building a case for years. That's what it feels like.
- 15:56Eventually I'll have the whole transcript in front of me, in front of a
- 16:00judge. Oh jeez, just won't transcript while it's gonna be cloudy in fifty
- 16:04six today, Pike, I get a man in the morning. See ninety
- 16:08seven. I've been sort of on the team I will want. This doesn't
- 16:14change the fact that I regret going to college because it's provided me nothing mostly
- 16:18other than good experience, of course, you know, but financially not worth
- 16:21it, right, However, a new study, though, suggests that it
- 16:25still is worth getting a college degree. Now this is research from Rutgers and
- 16:30New York University. Well they sound biased, Pike, Well yeah, right,
- 16:34Hey, two colleges found that, yeah, you ought to go to
- 16:37college. It's a good point. I didn't think about that. I guess
- 16:41we'll take them at their word. Yeah, well they're an honest organization.
- 16:45Of course. They examined the financials of five point eight million Americans and found
- 16:48that over a lifetime, college graduates still earn more money. Okay, this
- 16:55reminds me of play in the game of life, Pike. Have you played
- 16:57the game of life? I used to spend a lot of time playing the
- 17:00game of life. Did you always go to college when you played life?
- 17:03That's a good question. I don't remember when you had a choice. Yeah,
- 17:06I would always. I would never choose college. Very rare. You
- 17:10go right into the blue collar you know, you make money for that four
- 17:12years, versus having a go on the other path of life where you can't.
- 17:17Yeah, no income. That's a good game. Heck of a game.
- 17:21Heck of a game, you know. But you know it's one of
- 17:22those questions too, is like, are they making the people who went to
- 17:26college. Are they making more money because they went to college, or are
- 17:30they making more money because they come from, you know, families who went
- 17:33to college, And like, I don't know, is it just something about
- 17:37that the type of person that goes to college versus the college itself. That's
- 17:41interesting. Interesting, That's a good thought exercise. It's a good quandary.
- 17:45I'm gonna I want everyone to think about it for like a minute. They
- 17:48come back deeply, deeply consider the options across the t's dot. The I
- 17:53know, it just depends on what you go for. There are certain degrees
- 17:56that the second you graduate, it's like people are just looking for whatever you
- 18:00do. Engineers, I don't know. Yeah, that's a good point of
- 18:03job you would never get unless you finish that degree. And there's a there
- 18:07are a lot of high paying jobs that you can only get by having a
- 18:11degree. Right, There's no way for me to become a chemical engineer if
- 18:15I don't go to college. I don't know. I've known people who didn't
- 18:17go to school for engineering that do not become engineers. Really yeah, yeah,
- 18:21And I can't think of an exact example. A friend of mine in
- 18:23the cities. I'm like, so, what do you do again? One
- 18:26of those friends where it's like you can ask a million times what they do
- 18:29and you just can never quite remember. And so yeah, he's explaining that
- 18:33he was he's basically a chemical engineer. But you went to school for that.
- 18:36He's like, nah, dude, I went to MSUM for business or
- 18:38something. You know, Well, that's because it's MSUM. No, those
- 18:41they do say degrees from MSUM are pretty much translated to anything. Dragons are
- 18:47very much a versatile species, for sure. Yeah, they're right above a
- 18:52chameleon. That's right. So do you have a degree yourself? I have
- 18:56an associates degree that counts it accounts carent not because they checked into transferring my
- 19:02credits and possibly getting a bachelor's degree and they said, no, your organization
- 19:06was the worst school that's ever existed. Wasn't one of the ones that you're
- 19:08getting your loans forgiven now because you went there? I wish. Yeah,
- 19:12I looked into it because I knew that was the kind of organization. I
- 19:15went to the University of Phoenix that was it was open for three years in
- 19:21a strip mall, and I just had they happened to catch me right at
- 19:22the right time, and then you were vulnerable, and then they had laundered
- 19:26enough money and then they decided to that was be done. Yeah. I
- 19:30mean that's the thing about college in general. You know, you're getting kids
- 19:32when they're at a very impressionable age, not making I think we'd all agree
- 19:37you weren't making the best decisions when you were seventeen years old. You know.
- 19:41Meanwhile, I went to MSUM. They're like, hey, what do
- 19:41you want to go to school for. I'm like, I don't know,
- 19:44this sounds fun. My friends are doing it great, right, And then
- 19:47now it's other than the fact that if you get a degree, there's probably
- 19:49jobs that like you just need odd degree. They don't care what it is.
- 19:52They just want to know that you went to school. But you know,
- 19:55it's like I went for advertising. I think you could probably get into
- 19:57advertising without having gon cool for advertising. That's probably true. Like a lot
- 20:02of marketing roles, I think if you just get into the company and you
- 20:04just prove your chops, you learn on the job. Speaking of universities,
- 20:08Yeah, do you know the jingle to National American University? No, I
- 20:12don't know any jingles for any college No, I don't know. Name a
- 20:17popular jingle for a college, National American University, a different one. Come
- 20:21on, get your degree, set yourself free, National American University. You
- 20:27went, that's where you went? No, but that's a jingle, but
- 20:30just made that's Amazingly had to get that out of my head so I can
- 20:33come back to this conversation. Otherwise it would have been home National American University.
- 20:37Does that sound like the college I went to? That's what you tell
- 20:40your parents when you just want them to believe that you're going to college.
- 20:42Meanwhile, you're off, you know, gallivanting in Thailand in the morning on
- 20:48sage. Apparently there is a good chunk of women who are just giving up
- 20:53on dating. Oh, the dating scene dwindling, okay, drying up.
- 20:57Apparently it has been observed by people that women are given up dating. Now
- 21:03you want to know the reasons? Yes, either just throwing the towel in
- 21:06or over it. First of all, disillusionment with online dating. Basically,
- 21:10the endless swiping, the superficial judgments based on their profiles, the overwhelming number
- 21:15of choices have made dating feel like a chore rather than an actual pathway to
- 21:19you know, a meaningful relationship. I was reading on rended. Somebody is
- 21:22like, I'm done with dating apps? Where do I meet single men?
- 21:26And it was a woman. I'm like, what, I've never heard a
- 21:30woman ask where to meet single men? You know what's funny about that is
- 21:33they're everywhere, just like single women are everywhere. But unfortunately, the tough
- 21:37part about it is you got to ask them if they're single or not.
- 21:41And that question sucks to ask, right stuff. Yeah, well we talked
- 21:45about it earlier. You have to broadcast the fact that you're single. Where's
- 21:48my sound? Hang on? Yeah? And everyone turns at the bar and
- 21:53you just hark the herald, the herald I'm single, Mark, the herald
- 21:57bike is dude and body, you're fun a man? It never sings with
- 22:03me. Wow. Also the proud flirty My god, man, there's so
- 22:08much better than the other person that comes in here. The reason people are
- 22:14also giving up dating because they're shifting their priorities towards self development. And we
- 22:18all know you can't do both. You knows you can't. Either you're moving
- 22:25south when you're in a relationship, or you're going up the ladder if you're
- 22:27single. That's there's only two options. But that's just it can't be meditating
- 22:32when you got another person in the house. That wouldn't work. No way,
- 22:34jose and go to college when you're dating. Can't do it. No
- 22:37one's done it. Nobody ever has gone to promotion while dating, well,
- 22:41relationship, well, no, you notice it's always a single people of course,
- 22:45every time. Also another reason people are giving up on dating burnout from
- 22:48bad dating experience. That makes sense, Yeah, but that's because of the
- 22:52apps. Right. If you get a face to face situation going, I
- 22:55bet your odds of having a successful date slash relationship, even if it's not
- 22:59a long one. But successful is better if you just have the audacity to
- 23:07do it face to face. Audacity. It seems like this normally is a
- 23:10negative meaning right, No, No, Barack Obama's book was The Audacity of
- 23:14Hope. Is that right? Yeah? Huh? I was look at a
- 23:18I literally only know that word because of his book, and I think of
- 23:19it as a positive because he's handsome. I don't know really why, because
- 23:23I never read it. Interesting. Amanda says audacity a lot. Well,
- 23:27then you, yeah, you're right. People do say, oh, the
- 23:30audacity, But that's okay. If somebody is a confident human being. That's
- 23:33pretty much what audacity means. Let him be audacious, audacious and bodacious,
- 23:40flirtatious, Yes, good, gracious. Finally, the reason people are giving
- 23:45up on dating in twenty twenty four is disappointment with modern relationship dynamics. Many
- 23:52women feel that modern relationship dynamics don't align with their values or their expectations.
- 23:56Okay, like the casual nature of dat fear of commitment, those are all
- 24:02fading. Basically, women are giving up on dating because it sucks. Well,
- 24:06that sucks until you find somebody where it doesn't suck exactly, and then
- 24:08then you don't have to date anymore. And that's the beautiful thing. Sometimes
- 24:11you've got to go through a lot of weeds to find the flower patch.
- 24:15Yeah, you just pumping wisdom out. Jeez, get this guy a life
- 24:18jacket. We're drowning in wisdom in here like a man in the morning on
- 24:25Big Nutty eight points seven, No, Amanda, still, let's see,
- 24:29let's see. I found it brought to you by Valley Service Mechanical. Nice.
- 24:33How we feel about the song Beyonce's Loutree debut, You're love It good
- 24:37stuff on den I we catch you. Some people love it, some people
- 24:40hate it, but you're gonna get a whole album of country music from Beyonce
- 24:42just finally announced the long awaited follow up to Renaissance will be out March twenty
- 24:48ninth. In the title of the album, Cowboy Carter, heck, yeah,
- 24:52you know, I know you love an alliteration I love and I see
- 24:56cee. Do you know uh the Dolly Parton song Joe Lee I Do.
- 25:00Apparently Dolly Parton said that Beyonce's recorded a cover of that and it might be
- 25:04on this album. Do we need that? I think so. I don't
- 25:08think we do. No, And listen, I play in a cover band.
- 25:11I thought you'd be a good cover song. Really thought I was gonna
- 25:15drop some news on you. We're gonna be like, Wow, it's great.
- 25:18But no, don't care. I don't care at all. I'm not
- 25:19gonna listen to the album Cowboy Carter again. That's great. She's expanding and
- 25:23just trying different things. I mean, she's earned the right to do so.
- 25:26Hm. I just you know, I feel bad people are saying bad
- 25:29things about her. Oh scream is that we all know we needed another scream?
- 25:37Scream number seven, Scream seven. What is seven in Spanish? Feteete
- 25:41o cho noeve sinko dos sace Scream Sace will be coming out and guess who's
- 25:48back returning to the franchise. The star of the original, Nev Campbell,
- 25:52back again. Yeah, apparently she didn't do Scream six because there were some
- 25:56salary issues aka they weren't paying her enough. Well, they've come to terms
- 26:00for Scream number seven. How exciting are you excited for a return of Scream?
- 26:04No? No, sorry, I don't even know. I don't eve
- 26:08think I saw the first one. I saw one, and then two,
- 26:14and then that was where I was out Pike. Yeah. I think I
- 26:15realized at that point that I don't love horror movies, but a lot of
- 26:19people love it. I feel like I feel like I didn't need to see
- 26:23Scream because I loved Scary Movie. Of course, if you've seen Scary Movie,
- 26:26it's basically a remake of Scream, and so I feel like it was
- 26:30so similar that I just didn't need to see it. It's basically the same
- 26:33film, you think, so I think they're exactly the same. Which one
- 26:37do you think is funnier? Probably Scary Movie do you think. I think
- 26:41it's one of the funniest movies. It just gets better with time, the
- 26:44older I get. Every time I watch it. It's one of those ones
- 26:45where it's like, oh, I didn't notice that as a nine year old,
- 26:49that's hilarious. So even in a movie like that or any of the
- 26:52references like outdated at all. I mean, there was a lot of pop
- 26:56culture stuff, for sure, but I think it's pretty timeless. Nice.
- 27:00Yeah, yeah, I love that. I got some more interesting news here
- 27:03as I'm spilling the tea, of course. Did you know that Lily Allen
- 27:07pop star huh, blames her children for not having more success in her career.
- 27:11Okay, you think I'm kidding? So she I know, she did
- 27:15a song with Pink Lily Allen. I mean, I'm sure she's done a
- 27:17lot, you know what I mean? Here we are dismissing her. Meanwhile,
- 27:19she probably grinded it out for years, probably has written like Sia,
- 27:22right, written ten thousand songs for everybody else and then just got to eke
- 27:26out a couple of singles for herself. And we're like, no radio guys,
- 27:30and forgham. No, I don't really know her, but she said,
- 27:33though this was an interesting quote that her children ruined her career. She
- 27:37said, I mean, I love them and they complete me, but in
- 27:40terms of, like you know, pop stardom, totally ruined it. She
- 27:44did say, it really annoys me when people say you can have it all,
- 27:47because quite frankly, you can't. Now she's got three children. If
- 27:51you're wondering I want it all, you can't have it all, well,
- 27:53not everything. You got to make sacrifices, like you either have to be
- 27:57either can be a pop star or you can have children, one or the
- 28:00other. I'm gonna go for being a pop star. Pike, you you
- 28:04are a pop star. You just don't know it. I don't know my
- 28:07wife, said Lauren. For a long time. She said, if we
- 28:11have kids, that little band thing you're doing done. No, come on,
- 28:15really, it's my passion. Baby, like a man in the morning,
- 28:22get up on dig man. What a dream come true for this lady.
- 28:26I have a There was a tale that went around the town of Dilworth,
- 28:30if you will, a tale, and you know it was just believed
- 28:33to be true. But I feel like the story just grew and grew that
- 28:36one day at the time the stopping go. That was the name of it,
- 28:40the stopping going Dialworth on Highway ten, that there was a glitch in
- 28:44the gas pump system and that instead of the gas being like three dollars and
- 28:48twelve cents, it was thirty two cents something like that. And so people
- 28:52the word spread throughout the town and people just start going to the pump,
- 28:56just a great day hammering away. Meanwhile, the guy working in the stopping
- 28:59go was none the wiser. Wow, stop and Go did that for marketing?
- 29:03Probably it's a good move. What they're gone, They're all gone.
- 29:07I was gonna say, it didn't really work out that well for him,
- 29:10didn't. Casey swallowed him up. Anyway, This lady, it actually happened
- 29:17to you. This is a one percent true story, just happened where a
- 29:19woman realized a glitch in a gas pump system. She has a rewards card.
- 29:25She's a big, big member of the gas stations, got it,
- 29:27and she realized that when she swiped her card twice, it sent the gas
- 29:33pump into what they call demo mode. Oh and she was able to fill
- 29:37up for free. Nice. So this lady's like, oh my god,
- 29:41her name's Don, but Don Thompson so she just went to town filling up
- 29:45her vehicle, calling friend's family, bring your vehicle, bringing your vehicle.
- 29:48I got the magic card. Well twenty seven thousand, eight hundred dollars in
- 29:53gasoline. Later, it was finally figured out Don Thompson, the main culprit
- 30:00other than one other person as well, filled up on gas and is now
- 30:03facing theft charges. Fell any theft for stealing gasoline. Yeah right, what
- 30:11would you have done in that situation? I would have went in and said,
- 30:14hey, the gas pumps messed up. I really don't like I don't
- 30:18I'm a really big karma guy, Pike. I really don't like the idea
- 30:21of if I know, if I don't know about it, and somehow like
- 30:23a million, maybe if it was a million dollars in my bank account,
- 30:26I might try to run away. But you know what I think about karma,
- 30:30I don't think. I don't think it exists at all. I think
- 30:33it does. I think good things happen to bad people all the time.
- 30:36Yeah, but so do bad things happen to them too? Yeah? But
- 30:37think I think the point is things happen to people, some good, some
- 30:42bad. If you want to credit them to karma, then okay, but
- 30:47I think either way things are gonna happen good, some good, some bad.
- 30:51It's a good point, but it's one less thing for me to think
- 30:52about, Pike. If I don't have to think about I'm not coming after
- 30:57you for doing the right thing. If I do the right thing because it's
- 31:00the right thing to do, not because it's gonna somehow come back to you
- 31:03later in life. It's because my conscience won't allow it, really is the
- 31:06reason. So I don't want to have another thing to think. So when
- 31:07I get stabbed in the neck later, I don't want to be like,
- 31:10well, that's because they's too all that gas. You know. I guess
- 31:11I'd rather just get stabbed by than the neck accidentally. You know, don't
- 31:15you think you could at least not at all. You could just do one
- 31:18tank. You don't need to do a don did and go? How many
- 31:21gallons is that seven thousand or something like seven four thirteen gallons she pumped before?
- 31:26So little? Hey, hey, John, you notice that lady's been
- 31:29out of the gas pump the entire day. He's been here all day.
- 31:32Those are eighth vehicles she's brought in. He has a lot of cars that
- 31:34done, got to gas the fleet up, you know,
