Latest / Saints Block Party Podcast / Prospect of the Week - Texas Tech DE David Bailey
Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: high-stagnum music, no intro, we are back.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: Another episode of these things, what party podcast and is that time again, prospect of the week, SPP, St.Spark Party podcast, brought to you by precious works at LLC.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: If you have any business website needs, reach out to our guy, Bajan.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost at POW.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_01]: Whoops, too soon, too soon.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: week we are breaking down talking about Texas Tech defensive in David Bailey and I just want to say out the bat all the bat this might be the most pointless prospect of the week episode we've ever done.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, maybe, we'll see, anything that can happen in the draft, I suppose.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: But just when I started watching him as a prospect, because it's felt like within the last, let's say two weeks, there's been potential that he could slip, right?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then what's it, yesterday or whatever, I don't know what happened, but the news came out a report, a draft rumor,
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: was put up by Todd McShay that potentially the cowboys in the car knows, maybe discussing a trade for the cowboys to move up to three, I'm assuming you end up there two fur from picks to target and draft David Bailey, which that's all another conversation of like how do you hustle backwards on the football team like it?
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like that makes apps like you could have just, you could have just paid Mike Parsons.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like you literally just could have paid Mike Parsons.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: And anyhow, that's a different conversation for a different day.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: But two reasons why we're doing this prospect of the week on David Bailey.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: One, he won the poll.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: He won the poll.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: It was Bailey, Bang, and Sunny Stiles.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: David Bailey won the poll on Patreon for us to talk about him in terms of who y'all wanted us to talk about.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: a week or two, uh, about two weeks ago, that potentially if David Bailey was there in eight, that the Saints would potentially select him and overlook like the risk that it comes with drive data, which is such a weird thing to say because I'm like, what, like, I risk in terms of,
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: their drafting history with defensive ends lately has not been very good but just as a player it just he can be like he's booming busty but just watching him out the player I immediately thought like god like he would fit into the same defense so well like insanely well and I also came away a little bit
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like his weaknesses are a little maybe overtalked, like maybe a little overexaggerated just in some terms of his weaknesses.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying he's a perfect prospect.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that at all, but he's one of the better prospects to me in this entire draft class.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: No question about him.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I thought that early in the process, I didn't do a deep dive or on a particular easily
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: pure password share.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, in this draft.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Easily seeing.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now, as far as like overall prospect, all of the tools and everything that you could kind of argue about, you know, who's better here there.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: But just from a pure password standpoint, if you want a pure password to edge worship, like he just has all the tools, man.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's just, this is there, the speed
- 3:55[SPEAKER_02]: the first nap quickness of the length, farm length, you know, speed, measure row, athleticism, all of it.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's like it's just, it's all there.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: And the production to go with it.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_02]: So you're not saying, yes.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, if we move, where's like a, ever-rease, which is not a knock on it, but ever-reases more of a projection is, and it's Russia, you know?
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: With,
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: Because, you know, Averis doesn't really have the production of sacks and the pressures in all that to go with what you're seeing on tape, which is like just a stud athlete.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: Whereas David Bailey, the production is there.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: The production is there.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: Even when you go back on two times, it's like Stanford and stuff to produce there.
- 4:38[UNKNOWN]: Yes.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: There's no question about that man.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was interesting, it was just because I had my thoughts about him going into the watch.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I love going in with a certain thought and then have to watch.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, okay.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: I have a clear picture of what it is and some things that I thought were wrong.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: I've said this on previous Prosperical Week episodes.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: And just so if you're listening to this, if you're listening to this, oh, I guess it depends on what time you listen to this.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: But right now we're like,
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: for the people who are patriouts and YouTube members only, you're listening to the full version of the prospect of the week of the so it will, it does get released two weeks after that, but it is a very truncated shorter version.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: We take out any tidbits, any, we're talking about the athletic profile.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: We cut that out because that's a proprietary to our people who support us.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: We're in Patreon and YouTube members only.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: In terms of like talking about like raw players, like David Bailey is more advanced
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: and then Marcus Devinport and and Prayton Turner and it's like, so it's like, like, which one is it?
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, like, it's still in the tape.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like, y'all are ones that always talk about it.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's all about the tape.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like, just study the tape.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: They have damn it.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, I'm just got in shit.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, it's, it's, it was just a huge thing that annoys me.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: The one thing I want to say about, when we're talking, we're just going to just get and talk about him.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he is the anti-Monsor Delane.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you about that.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of stats about Montsord Delane talks about how great he is in coverage.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't give up any touchdown passes.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: His completion percentage quarter-backed on his ways just like just elite.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: But,
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: When you watch his tape, you really watch monster or delane's tape.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: You kind of have, you know, I can see, this is TV one, this Nick is like, as a, as a stats, with indicate, I feel what David Bailey is the opposite.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, while he has the production, like the 15 sacs, whatever, when you watch his tape, you actually see how more disruptive he acts.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: Offensive teams are like, they literally have to
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: him from disrupting the game.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oftentimes you have a you have a tight in next to the right or to the left tackle.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes you have a lot a running back in protection.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: They are times where he is getting blocked by two or three players to stop him from getting to the quarterback.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't come up in the stats because it's that's not a stat.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: You just you have to watch to
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: Off offensive coaches and head coaches come into the to the game saying how do we stop 31 from taking over this game like that's what that's like you can see it on take like that is their minds that like we can't let 31 take this game over and that's when I say the anti marinsor delaying is because his stats don't truly indicate how dominant and how much attention he gets on a snap by snap basis.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of the things that like stood out to me immediately
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: Because when you watch a lot of games, he'll start off like, game breakers, like, boom, just, just, just annihilate.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, and you see the offices are just like, look, man, we got to, we got to give this guy some of the dishes they've got to see and they start running plays away from him, like completely on the side.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and, you know, just completely away.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: So we just taken them out, the, the, we taken them out the picture because we're going to play way on this side.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to play the way on this side.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do motions over this way.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do RPOs that go this way.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: We are not messing with 31 over here.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: But they did give 31 the freedom to switch sides.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: You'll see I'm on the right tackle.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: You see I'm on the going to get to left tackle sometimes.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: They double him.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: They sent tight ends at him.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: They sent running bags.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: I had them.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: He was absolutely a force.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: So when you say that,
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: That is very true bro like his stance.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: I said came with like man, his stance could have been like way better.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, if if but teams just have to and like I said like the same's need a guy like that they need Yeah, really on both sides of the ball where the coordinator is going into Tuesday to get Tuesday game plan like man circle this guy like we got to have a plan
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: for this guy right now.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: We got his will chase.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: If it's young, that's it.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like you can really see the vision if he's there at this point.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: If he failed April, like, and I don't know, we'll see.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I would be shocked at this point.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: The Saints passed on it.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be shocked at the Saints pass minute.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: I would be, I'm like,
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't need to know.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't need a meeting like I would need to know.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: I would need an explanation in the presser with whether they selected I need cat to rail or somebody else something something what was the deal with David Bailey why did you pass on it?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean what was was the issue there and and I don't want people to listen to this and and for us to Maybe take away that maybe he's like a perfect
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: defensive in prospect.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's not, but I don't, he's not, he's not in the tier of a little Anderson junior that got drafted, right?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's not in that tier as a prospect, but watching him, and again, is it's just pure prospect, because then you get jaded in terms of what the NFL.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: career has started out.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: To me, he's already a better, but as a prospect, he's a better defensive end prospect than Jared verse was, which is a little funny because you and I did not did not like Jared verses tape a lot and a lot of that.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: Some of that was kind of like,
- 10:11[SPEAKER_01]: just some loafing and things like that, which is funny because in the NFL, his first year, like all those concerns we had about him as a prospect, like you didn't see any of them.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: But in year two, you didn't kind of saw like, you know, what we kind of went.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not saying that Jared Burston had a great defensive end in the NFL, not saying that.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying that some of the things that we had concerns about him as a prospect started showing up more this year than they did his rookie year.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I felt I feel like he's a better
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: like just prospect and direct verse, and I compared them to, he's a more explosive James Pierce without the character issues.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, like that one, just James Pierce one.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: because they win, they win similarly.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like David Bailey is a tad more explosive and he's a big, longer.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: And I also think he's a little more just nuanced.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: James Pierce was just all just athleticism.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: All athleticism coming off the edge.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: Where Pierce, he has some pants, first like repertoire.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: Do you mean Bailey?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: Bailey, I'm sorry.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Bailey has some pants, first repertoire to his game.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: where you could tell that, okay, he's been playing a wild.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he's a, I'm gonna say it four year, clear, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's been clear.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: It was just funny because if you just listened to like the outside, you would think that all David Billy does is just like speed rush.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like he has nothing else in his game.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: But like watching him was so interesting, cause I was like, I'll just think he got a spin move.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: He got he goes speed to power.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: His hand, his hand usage is,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: not elite, but it's like at least in the middle like he doesn't like hit like he is definitely more nuanced in his passion for stability than I think people would have you maybe believe without like really really going in and watching his tape.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: So let's look at his
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: David Bailey's infographic, 15 stocks on the season, 23 quarter back hits, um, 380 cash rush snaps, and then if you look at David Bailey compared to like the national field, he's right up there, his pressures are higher, he's 81 in heries, and I know like we get annoyed with heries, like the stat, but he has like legit heries where his pressures in heries lead to sacks for other people.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, oh, man, like Lee, Lee Hunter.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: Hell, one of the other things that's still out to be watching the tape, like damn Lee Hunter boy.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Woo!
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because that's a big boy right there, boy.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: because what happens is like, depending on what's up, David Bailey's coming off the edge and he comes off so screaming that the quarterback has no other choice except to step up.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then you have the interior pressure getting there, cleaning it up, bro.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was just, that Texas Tech defense was nasty.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, you think you had Rodriguez, linebacker?
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: His Rodriguez instincts was just crazy too.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like you can get both of them, I'm like, man,
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: I like I knew it probably won't happen, but because we weren't out of juice.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you went deep, if you went belly and one and eight obviously we want our offensive juice needed needed needed and I don't think I don't think just I don't I could see him falling to round three though I could see that I could see Rodriguez being there at 73.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: But then that's the whole another question I was thinking about earlier is like if the Saints took route regas and round three, how does a line back room shake out?
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: Cause then you got Kate and L is then you got stuntsman, you got route regas, I'm not, at least it would signify the end of Pete Warner, like, that would be all, that air is all.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, the info graphic is pretty cool man, like you look at it.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: like 15 sacsburg like this is just the 20 25 season 15 sacs yeah the sack of against uh organ uh you know in the in the big game uh 81 total pressures for the three heris uh what are some others shit's on here uh 38 total pass for snaps
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: They call them high impact stop, so we're recorded 40, 40 defensive stops, raking 10th among all adressors, and it's not included in this graphic, but something I love about him as a player.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: When is that money down?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: When it started down?
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: We're going, we're going to see one of the clips that I got when we play our clips is a foot down play he made.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: that actually got negated to a flag.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: Tell him about that terrible flag.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: Don't, don't, don't, I will get to it.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, man, like this is production is crazy.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: What I really love about him is like his speed, like it's not just the speed of the snap, but like he, when he hits that edge, then outside shoulder, it's like, you could see the offensive tackle just like,
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and at that point it's all on the quarterback like there's all on the quarterback to like make something happen So a lot of the things you don't see in the stats is how quickly the quarterback has to throw the ball get the ball Oh, check out quick.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: What how quick throw throw to the flats so a lot of those don't you know You won't see that in the statute, but those are like super impactful plays on the offense and it's like man
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: It is like that, I was watching that Arizona State game and he dominated that game.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like so much of, and testament to Jordan Tyson, because I know at the combat he told our dude Jake that that was his, the game that he was most proud of, because without Jordan Tyson, like Arizona State doesn't, doesn't win that game.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: But he was, Jordan Tyson was like battling in that game, but he was just, he was giving everything he got wrong.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: The Stanford tape when I watched, I just watched one game against NC State.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: He did dropping the coverage a lot more when he was Stanford.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: And he could do it.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's not, and he didn't rent a state of his defense.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think I want to say Grandeson dropped back, like maybe we should do it.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: So he could do it, bro, like, as far as I look, you're not going to have him covering, you know, frickin' some petite end down the field on the desk.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: No, things are done like that.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: But like, spot drops.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: covering the running back, no, it's going out to the flats or, you know, the check down, you could do it very well.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's fast.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: One of the things that he would really add to our defense is versus mobile running mobile quarterbacks, the problem.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_02]: Years now because he's legit fast, bro.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know he ran over five in the compound.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's legit fast.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen times where he did wrongly bite on like a,
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: In the end, I'll fake to the running back and then the quarterback will break off running out to the opposite and he'll bite wrong, but then he'll quickly shoot back and catch that running back on right or quarterback and just tracking for behind for a loss.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying, we just don't have one of the defense bro, we don't wish.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: And also goes to show one of his biggest knocks, right?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: Is his, like, and this is like, sometimes like the kind like, ha, mind drills and she like that, like an always a shadow me, because when he did like the the drill with like the spinning around like the going turn in the edge or whatever, like people were concerned about like his like his lack of like band inflexibility.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: There are plays on tape where it completely demolishes that notion, like completely.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: I will say like if you're going to like the the worries about him potentially,
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: a most of his production comes from the two point stance, like you rarely ever see him in a three point stance.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: And that's something where
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's a, that's kind of goes to like the refinement of him, right?
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like Kim compared to a player like Ruben Bane, remain majority of his snaps.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's puttin' he's goin' three point stance.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes he goes four point stance and he's very effective out of those stances with David Bailey.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like he is literally like in a two point stance.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's hovering over plays, why not like shit.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Why not is like a understatement?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like sometimes he's so wide out there.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: And that's somethin' where,
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: you can offensively, you can attack a smart offensive coach attacks that with like, if you're gonna be all that far outside, we're gonna run, we're gonna run it to the left where you're playing so far outside.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: So in terms of that like, type like that refinement in terms of like some of his rawness, those are the things where you do want to see him get better out.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: But he's also a younger prospect where you feel like, listen, Bo Davis, Brenna Staley,
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: to work.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: And look man, like the Saints, the Saints, as they guys have been at 2 points than more than anything.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: If this was still DA defense, I'd be working with him.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: Grandestale is defense.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not worried about that.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_02]: One thing he does, they do work on.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I could see him getting stronger.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: He needs to get a little stronger, especially as his base.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: You don't see, I think somebody put the stand up on, like,
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: The vast majority of his wins were on the outside, like I would say.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, first.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: So you don't see a lot of wins on inside, past, first, like, because a lot of times, that's the way you win in the NFL, you fake to the outside, you win to the inside, you'll take guards.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: you attack the inside should be used to see it with pending all the time, get it on the inside and I think it's just lower body strength isn't there yet to just beat that inside the inside just trashed it's almost trashed inside that you got to be somehow you just can't win just with speed and another that he lacks power because that one of the cool summer show is that he has power brother like when he converts that speed to power
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes it overwhelms all fifths of tackles, but I do feel you can get stronger Yeah, the lower body and like you said he's young want to say he's what two two fifty one six three or whatever so yep
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like he could definitely add just a little bit more weight without losing that speed that he has, like more muscle, yeah, more muscle, so that's that's one of the, you know, all the talk about the run, like can he stop it running, though it's fine against the run, but I just think like Texas tech like, we need you to punch the pants, right, you figure out that run shit later.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: So that's it.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: And when he did, like we need to he was constantly, you know, attacking running bags from the back.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: from the backside, you know, catching from the backside, stuff like that has a good mode of man always running high always.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, one of the things I loved seeing on tape from him is because teams, just had to scheme a lot of quick passing plays like white receiver screens were like,
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: or swing passes, things like that, even at his size, like he's hustling out to the perimeter, like he's hustling, and he's getting in there.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the stuff where, and I remember going back to like Jared Burst, like it just annoyed me when him at Florida State, because a lot of his, some of a lot of his feel, like he would just,
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: Not, they would just be like, and I'm good over here.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: But with like Bailey, you see that like that motor is going.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: I tweeted something last night and I don't feel like it's, I don't, I hope it wasn't controversial, but if it was, I just said Bailey's, in terms of a past rush, he's on a different sphere than Ruben Bane.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's not a knock on like Ruben Bane as a player, but it's like just how,
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: their athletic profile is so distinctly different and they win in different ways.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: And Bailey, based on athletic profile, typically has more success in the NFL.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I don't know about that.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_02]: Because this is this goes to my interest to see how it plays out as far as career.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: Because I did like an unofficial study myself last year.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: past roaches as well as like pressure rate sex.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I looked at them and I looked at like their pressure clips from the old 22 and I just wanted to know like how do these guys mean, you know, Joe Hendrickson and, uh, uh, eight Hutchison and all these guys, how do they win?
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: And like one common denominator that I could find all of them is the
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: It was all about power.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's not so much sweet.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's the power moves that really get to tackles over time during the game and like I said, there's not saying that barely doesn't have power.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: He could play with power, but that's something he could add more to his game right where's bane.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: is a power player like that.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, his game.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't really have the speed though.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm curious to see how they're doing in the fell as for because I think I think being like from like a day one is like a three down player like.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, yes, but he's going to win more inside inside moving side rush.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: and hustle and hustle and to that city like that's going to be how Ben wins where Bane is going to win more out of family speed barely keeps it barely is going to win more outside speed and let a system and just think that that fire you snap off the ball both are great like great yes so I'm just I'm very fascinated to see like what's going works out best in the NFL because the problem with the NFL is especially now.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's doing these tight tight formations.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: With tight ends, two tight ends and all that stuff.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: That space where belly likes to work at is just not out there.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's just not how offensive is of all plan right now.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: They like to pack stuff in, simulate the run.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Most of the games you saw David, David, Billy, play against spread out, you know, spread out formations, pistol and all that stuff.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: And it fell.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to see a lot of tight.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to see under center, hard play action where tackles are coming out, playing a run, but it's actually a pass.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: You didn't see Belly go against a lot of that.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm real fascinated to see how he adjusted that and it felt that this is going to be completely different for him.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: Completely different for me.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's completely, completely different game.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: Something that started to cut your off, but that one thing is what makes me wonder if he can't follow the eight, because I could wonder if some defense coordinator
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you know, from the way I run my defense, I don't know if I want that.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I want to draft that.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: So it, that's what gives me a little bit of hope, a sliver hope that he might be there to just maybe.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was, okay, I want to look, I'm going to look at these numbers.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so the, the big difference between these, these two players.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: The big big difference in these two players is the player that it's in NFL is much like has a lot more weight on them, but the player a little bit that was thinking that David Bailey reminded me of and I'm not saying they went similarly, I'm just saying just
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: just overall, like, how like similar players is a player who actually just got paid yesterday by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Travelling Walker.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Travelling Walker has two inches on him and height in like 20 pounds on him and wait.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: But which is, which is like big, right?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: But muscle too.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: But the rest of their stats in terms of like their 40, their broad,
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: are pretty similar.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: David Bailey actually had like a like a fast or like a higher broad jump.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: And their hands are like exactly the same hands, arm link, arm link, uh, Trayman walk has a half inch on on David Bailey.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: So the the way you could look at that is like Trayman walker was was two inches bigger, 20 pounds heavier, it was instilled like his athletic profile
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: like a little more in person than David Bailey, who's a little smaller, but I just like, how they win it, how they win it, so I'm gonna try my luck as is more of a power russure, but just how it's now, listically, if David Bailey may hit in the NFL, it more than likely potentially may be along those lines.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: So let me pull up this,
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: Gating playoffs are finally here, and underdog is the place to get in on the action.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: Playing on underdog is easy.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like points, rebounds, stills, and more.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: This week on underdog, I'm looking at the NBA playoffs and selecting Jason Tatum for hired in 28 and half points, and Nicole Yokech for hired in 11 and a half rebounds.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: Download the app today and use promo code Block Party to score $50.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: in bonus centers when you play your first five dollars.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's promo code BlackPorty, underdog, make picks win money.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: Must be 18 plus, 19 plus in Alabama and Nebraska, 19 plus in Colorado for some games, 21 plus in Arizona, Massachusetts and Virginia, and present in a state where underdog fantasy operates, terms apply.

- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: uh, Jarvers was six three seven eights and two fifty four with thirty three and a half inch alarms.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and ran a four five eight forty.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: And they'll be barely very, very similar.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Very similar.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Very similar.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: Different players now on tape.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yes.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: There's definitely more but more but a power, a power, a very, a very much
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: Um, another play I thought about watching him was, uh, who also got paid because I've seen was, uh, boy, my feet.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: So you're right.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: Just, it just, I felt like that could be his floor.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Say he just doesn't develop at all.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like just, yeah.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, however, I think that's his floor.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I wanted to say he's the pig muffy, you know what I'm saying?
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: And muffy was just like, he's just been purely like a past or a specialist for like the Seattle Seahawks.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously you won't more than that from barely if you take him at eight, you want him to be more than that.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: But as a floor, like I take that, you know what I'm saying?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like if death is just like you just no development whatsoever, we just get you straight, raw off the bus, just like that.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'll take boy, my thing.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: And what was interesting when you when we did, uh,
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: the prototype in comparison.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm warning people, there are a lot of typos in this because AI is sometimes okay and sometimes terrible.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a ton of typos in this, but
- 29:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you look at the so and also I should point out that the prototype has been updated, you know, we're doing the draft project.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Jay started it last night.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: So the draft prototype for positions was updated, including last year's draft class.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: So the defensive and prototype in terms of metrics you see, the linebacker metrics you see of all been updated, including players
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: What's so crazy is that regardless of like however you look at David Blake because he's not he's not a live-backer, but in terms of like him being a two-point stance, he for the most part, but sides like he's a little shorter for the height and he's about 10, 13 pounds on the weight.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: Metric wise, he pretty much smashes the Saints prototype for defensive in out of the water.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: Now, like in terms of the 40-time, he
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's an exes in the 40-time.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: His vertical jump is his higher.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: His broad jump is a lot higher.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: So he really is, like, I'm sure when we do that, the draft prospect matching, we're gonna work on this weekend, actually.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: He more than likely is probably gonna be
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: probably like an excease or or an above average, out even with his height and weight being a little under, his other metrics in terms of physical traits might put him at an exceed.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: No question for him.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I included line back on here too, just because I want to see where he would measure up as far because I knew from a defensive instant point he was going to just destroy those metrics.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: But the fact that he's also
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: pretty much blowing the way the linebacker metrics also crazy bro crazy because the same draft history with linebackers you know some some were off ball linebackers you know something somewhere mixed like sat bar in the song like you know a lolly caca which was more edge so which is where David Belly fits as far as like that mold after the linebacker
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so just the fact that he smashes all those metrics makes it tells me like you have no worry about that from like the Jeff Ireland and prototype, you know, measurable perspective.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to destroy all that shit.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: And what was interesting, pulling the data right for the edges.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: So they've drafted 10 edges since 06 again, this doesn't include players like Carl
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Junior Gillette, their hit rate of drafted defensive ends, dating back to 06 is 40%.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: 40%.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: 40%.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm not going to get into like the discussion in terms of like Mark's is having for it if he was a red, if he's a yellow, I don't care.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like to me like he's a red.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's a red, but that's a red.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, it's a red.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: One nice solid season is no, like you know a red.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: it's a red.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: But what was interesting if you just look at this graphic is when they have hit on both whether it be linebackers or defensive ends, it really has been that round three.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like that has been that has been like the sweet spot.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: They drafted trade hindricks and and Alex and Zalone, but fucking that 2017 draft was insane.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: round three, Zach Bond, round three, although we didn't see, we didn't see the fruits of that labor, Kane Ellis, who is now back on the team, they got him in round seven.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: So they've done a lot of work in terms of their hits have come after round one.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: with with the linebackers and with the ad brushes like they're only they're green since 06 defensive and is cam Jordan bro.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just terrible just terrible and they've got no just saying I looked in like linebacker and edge on me linebacker and the all together is like a 32% hit rate bar.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: And like you can't even like usually we get like the Jeff Ireland switch where like okay once Ireland came it got bet like No, it was they got a little better with linebacker, but they yeah, they got better with linebackers, but it's just still bad, but it's it's it's it's bad, and you know I feel like David Belly Would be very different from what they've yes tech before you would be more in the line of with camp Jordan where camp Jordan had the production he had to tape and all that stuff
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: and was just rock solid.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's David Bell, you know what I'm saying?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: He has the collection, he has the tape, he has the measure rules, he has the whole package where it's, you know, Mount Marcus Devonport, a reach and a projection, you know what I'm saying?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: Small school guy, you're looking at just a huge athlete that you think can transition.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: Payton Turner, his tape wasn't even.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like at least with Mark Devon, you were squintin' look.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: You could squintin' looking Marcus Devonport tape, but I okay, I can eat these powerful, I give them that.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's a bull in the china shop.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: Painter news is like okay, there's there's nothing there's nothing wrong.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_02]: There's nothing on the table I was there Foski he had like the production, but like once you like watch the tape It was like okay, I don't know you know saying like Man, just a lot of misses, but then you had guys like three injuries in which he was you just struggled to even find tape on him She had he was They just been on it.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just with him
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: And it worked out, it worked out like in terms of like his development and what have you, so, like, kind of to your point, right?
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: You kind of said it like his David Bailey's athletic profile, like, if he's there, like, you said that it would be, it would be different than what they'd draft in the past, which is true.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're not, they're not the same.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: But I do wonder if Jeff Arlin has some deon, Jordan flashbacks in David Aley.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be setting up.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Right, like, I'm not saying, I'm not saying that that's the thing.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I've, I've, I've, I've nothing, it, it, it's not tied.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: And in fact, I just, that's just how GMs and scouts are, bro, like, when you have players who have not worked out and is like, you know, just spurred you in the past.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a, it's like a Jill to X with, it just, it just stays with you.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like sometimes if you, the data someone,
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: And they have a specific personality, and they have, like, specific traits, and it becomes, like, a jilted execution, you tend not to try to date similar people.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's a person, like, or some people are just hot and just, like,
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: like double down, like, give me more of that, give me more, more, more, more.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: But like you typically like, you stay away from it.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I do wonder if that's the thing with Jeff Ireland where he maybe sees like some deonverting and like, it was like, that didn't work out for me, like I'll stay away.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see man.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I don't think they would, but we'll see.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you go and back and watch our episode, we did with the players in the Saints Cloud.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: David Belly was not on that episode.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: He was not on that episode, but I do wonder if they start like really digging in.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, we go really pass on him if he's there.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, how are we going to do this?
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: It was at the pro day.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I mean, I knew they were the players to go look at it the pro day, but I'm like, if you go on the Texas Tech pro day, David Belly is one of the players you're looking at, you know what I'm saying?
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: And yes,
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: Bo Davis was leading the defensive line drills and he was going up and close with Lee Hunter.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Even if they don't add, even if they don't draft David Bailey, whether that be passing on him or him not being there eight, I do wonder if that's what they, I would do wonder if they add a Texas Tech defensive player in general at some point in the draft.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah man, it's a good quote.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I had a great defense break.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: I got to play as a
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would I would not mind on the 100.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't have mind a Oh our tree guys.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_02]: I would love any of those three and they've never got some boy.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't know about Ramelo Ramelo height is is He came he came along last season as well.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: They have some they definitely have some pleasure safety on the corner back.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's a defensive end
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: He got some juice too.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: They got some play as well, but David Belly I just I go back and forth and if he's gonna be the okay, Jess.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: See, it sounds like evil Reese will come in a chance.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like it sounds like that.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: David Belly question starts at three.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: Cardinals.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody knows what the card is to know.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: We know body for.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, get space cardinals.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: There you got, who's next?
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: The Titans.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, the Titans are interesting because if he's there for, I would guess what the Titans are debating on is David Bailey or Ruben Bay.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: That'll be my guess.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: That'll be my guess.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: And when you look at who the 49ers have drifted with, with Sala, or you'll look at the jets.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: Who did they take with him?
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: Did they take, was that your main chance when they took?
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: it's like I could see them going either way.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: I really don't know.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: I could too, because when I think about last season, and I don't know how much solid I had with the 49ers in the draft last season, because you're on there for a year.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: But with McCail Williams,
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you think of that lens, that seems to me more like a Rubin Bane pick for the Titans, right?
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: But if you go to the jets where maybe Robert Sala hat like more control because he was actually a coach and they drafted a Dremaine Johnson.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now maybe they look at it because the Dremaine Johnson is also with the Titans, like having two versions of Dremaine Johnson of like, because they may be duplicative.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Then after the Titans, you got the Giants.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see them going.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Giants then, Browns.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see Browns going David B. I don't see it, but they surprised everyone last year with Dr. Austin Mason Graham, bro.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_01]: Then like, maybe they just, maybe they just say just our board, yeah, we need a, no, we need a right receiver, yeah, we need a tackle, but parent David Bailey opposite of Malz Garrett, and you, and you have Mason Graham in the middle, and you got Carson's question, Dr.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let's see Brown's pass on them.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just say Brown's the winner.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: We need a tackle, we need a tackle, we need a tackle, we need a tackle, they go tackle.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: They, you, got, uh, commanders.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: Watch them, right?
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's, huh?
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: Always come down and command us.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: And it doesn't have a breath.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: Who else on the board?
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: Is it love on the board?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, is Killed Downs?
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: Killed Downs on the board?
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's like, I'm just saying, deal, Billy, that's contingent on like this Cowboys trade, right?
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: Not happening, which is just,
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: Could be there bro like I'm just he could be there.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: He could which would just be I'd be fast I just kid like the same's passing on that Right people there ain't that needs a pass for sure.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: It needs yes.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's a need I need I need I need to draw out the gear here.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I need I just need answers.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: I need answers We were what?
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: 19 days away.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: I need I need answers.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: This is him earlier earlier in the same game early in the game gets Arizona state

- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure to tell him, say sorry to my client, because I was not expecting this going in.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: knock down Caleb Downs, can't you believe it?
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll give you the reason as to why.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: He, his play on the field, changes what the offense wants to do.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, perfectly said.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: When you have a player that can change what the offense wants to do, we have a player that is attracting attention.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: We have to divulge assets to make sure he doesn't take over this game.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: That is a weapon to have in a defensive player.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's what those players are incredibly hard to find.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I love table downs, love them.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: what he does doesn't, doesn't dictate that.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's a great player, but it doesn't dictate that.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: And we talked about this on the last episode, I believe it was when you asked me, you know, in terms of past rush or cornerback when we talked about my son, my son, and Elaine.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: You, like if you just watched all those clips, you saw, you see why the past rush, you know, I said, give me past rush, bro.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Give me past rush, yeah.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's why.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: Even for you, even for him to be second player
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man, because love love is just, I love love, right?
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anybody could take love out of it.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think maybe a voice if we did him, but we not know.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: But love is different from it, but like, I didn't expect, honestly, I was in my mind, I was like, okay, Bailey, I'll probably be after dollars going into this.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: But once I was done,
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, man, Bailey, like, argue to be the best player in this dream, but I'm like, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 45:22[SPEAKER_01]: watching the tape, there are games and stints and games where he is just absolutely dominant.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: If he's not causing, like if he's not getting the sack or whatever himself, what he's doing is causing other players on the team to feast because what he's left top wasn't right top was he gave each side fits.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: He also I noticed he had a lot of
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: Freedom and the Texas Tech defense in terms of what you wanted to do at the line of scrimmage.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if you want to go to the against the left tackle, you want to get the right tackle.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: He had a lot of autonomy in terms of how he wanted to attack that.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: Could he be there at eight?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Cutty.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I should have told you, I should have also told you that I wanted you to move down Jordan Tyson because I'm not the injuries brother.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, we'll do that.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the injuries bro.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't I
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nomad.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: I say that just where this team is.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: The risk to take a player like that at 8 in it.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and here's the thing with like a play like Jordan Tyson, like all the one inside during your face, right?
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: All the one inside just like right there.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right there.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: You just, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like, you just feel stupid, like
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: right there.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just like get like listen.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Ed Russians like David Bailey there's a tendency for them to to to bust no matter who they really are like Ed Russians have a lie like a lot of very like variables so I would say of all the players on this list.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: the player that has the most potential or on our cloud, the players that have the most potential to bust to me is David Bailey.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Jordan Tyson, Jordan Tyson, I'm not putting him in that, because I think the warning signs are there.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_01]: But like, he's the biggest boomer bus prospect in our cloud.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that's just, just from the nature of the position he plays, it's so hard to project it for, because the college college all fences are just so different.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and the, it's more, it's less about like the offensive tackles your face and then all that stuff is just what coaches do and what offensive do men, they get the ball out quick, they send a lot at you, they send so much at you with motions and different formations and all that stuff.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: So David Belly, one thing I also came up impressed by him is you could tell he's a smart player.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, just recognize this thing.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's just not one of these dumb.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: pass horses that just don't know with you could tell like he's yeah it was going on in the fact he was on the field so much that you know just shows that they trusted him a time man my only like my only knock why wouldn't you call it a knock it's more like a coaching point
- 48:11[SPEAKER_02]: And this is almost with every pants, much of that comes out is like, obviously, like, hand usage, like, developing a second, a second swing, a second, just a combat move that, because most of the times you're going to lose on your first approach in NFL, you know what I'm saying?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_02]: So you got to have a backup plan, that no, you got to spend moving all that.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: You got to be careful with the spend moves in NFL.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: You do.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_02]: The tacos will eat that shit from lunch.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: So you got to have it.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_02]: Just more repertoire to your hand uses, but that comes over time.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: We coaching, working with both Davis, you know, had just takes time to develop once he could not feel that.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that is Rubin being a super power.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, like because he's he has a repertoire.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he got a bag.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I will say.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I came away, David Bailey has a more way more of a past-rush bag than just how he's presented.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: Just overall.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's just presented, like he's just like just great, like, straight rules that all the Georgia players, no, not the Georgia.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_02]: Was that Georgia?
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: The guy on the focus drafted.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: give a smile or he was a real tweeter on Victor.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh big beastly.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: Big beastly.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, big beastly.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like they were like talking to them.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: Climbs and yeah, like they were talking about him like he was like that.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like just, you know, big beastly off the edge.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: Just one move to speed.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: No, like that's not really at all.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: That is not barely at all.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like at all.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: From just a build from just a productive standpoint.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like just
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's like a legitimate pass, Russia, legitimate.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, listen, I know we, we've screened also was very interesting.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: Just looking, looking in our top three of our cloud, as much as there has not been a podcast that has been asking for Jews more than us in the last six years of doing this goddamn podcast.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: It is very telling to me that our top three had two defensive players because of the type of draft that this is.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: The best players in this, like this, and we've talked about it at Nazium.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: This draft, obviously David Bailey has the positional value because he's an adressor, but Caleb Downs safety.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: Jeremiah love running back.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: This draft, you gotta just draft through over the fucking best player is and just fucking,
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: Just go now round round two if you if you want to be more about positional value or and I'm just speaking like For all teams not just the Saints then cool understand it, but this this draft this draft you have to Just whoever the best player is draft and just just walk away because like that's type of draft that it is Straight up straight up no question per
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: 19 more days.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: Tony, I do Tony say going to have quarterbacks in hell when we look into David Bailey at eight in pair him with Caleb Proctor in the fourth.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: Man, let's.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: Tony guy.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: That killer Proctor is a Jimmy.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: But he's good.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's good.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we won't do a prospect of the week on the Proctor.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: We would not.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, I would.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: I watched him a good bit.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's a really good player.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I try to get him in every
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: Last thing, as we wrapped this up, give me a percentage chance that David Bailey will be available at eight.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think it's not 5050, but I would say it's like a 45% chance you'll be there.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's where I was about like 6040, 45%
- 52:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like it's not like it's really not out of the realm, you know what I'm saying?
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, like an evil reason is like, okay, we're just not gonna be there.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's just not, like, just get it out your mind.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: But Billy, just the fact that he doesn't, he doesn't match.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's not like a 32 or 32.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, he's not you know what I'm saying.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's not not at all not not every defense according to not every GM or whatever It's gonna look at him and say okay.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_02]: He he he fits in my escape my defense my knees and all that stuff Whereas a lot of other players are you know, kettle downs fits any defense on any You know, Reese even though he's a projection You know, I'm saying he's just so like just crazy you just don't know what to do with them Then you just got all the other knees that other teeny where barely
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know what, man, he fits so well in Brader's Kelly's game, bro.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: He fits so well.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing, and I heard this about a month ago, I don't think Washington would take him.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's, um, I don't think it's Bradley's.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_02]: Gus Bradley, uh, Dan, Dan, what's his name?
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: Just don't practice.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_02]: Bro.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: Dan, I got to look at him, bro.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know but who who did the the commanders just give a lot of money to him for your agency.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: Oh Oh, wait.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I don't like if you've just paid away that amount of money like the
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: It, I don't know, like, I don't think David Bailey just, hmm, that just doesn't make sense to me.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait, just to see what the first seven teams do.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: I just can't wait, but that ain't what the slaves do.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait to see what they do.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna be fast, eh?
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: But we, anyhow, we talked about David Bailey at Nazio and we appreciate y'all.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: We love y'all.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back this upcoming week.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: what I don't know we'll figure it out for our public release episode.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: This David Baylip so will release full to the public in two weeks, the abbreviated version.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate y'all.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: Love y'all.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_01]: We will be back next week with that.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: We are out.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: Peace!
