- 2:18Speaker 4: I told mine man on a jagged sky, I just
- 2:23Speaker 4: dropped in to see what condition my condition was in?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, what condition my condition was?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Welcome everybody a doctor Cooper's Natural Health Hours. It is
- 2:48Speaker 2: the twenty second of July and Susie Belle and I
- 2:52Speaker 2: were talking off air.
- 2:54Speaker 5: It's hot, and they don't tell you the truth.
- 2:58Speaker 2: They tell you the temperature of the shade, and it's
- 3:02Speaker 2: a big difference from the real temperature in that hot sun.
- 3:06Speaker 5: So anyway, we are all here.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Susie's family and company's very involved in the recovery out
- 3:14Speaker 2: there in Cerville that flooded recently, and so she's going
- 3:18Speaker 2: to talk a little bit about that tonight. And we
- 3:23Speaker 2: got a subject of parasites because that cyclos aura's in
- 3:28Speaker 2: the news and everybody went crazy. But anyway, we got
- 3:32Speaker 2: Susie Bill and myself all on zoom. We'll let him
- 3:36Speaker 2: say hello to you, Susie.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Good evening everyone, Thanks for joining us, folks.
- 3:45Speaker 2: All right, I was telling him before the show. I
- 3:48Speaker 2: didn't mind to heat so much when I had a pool,
- 3:51Speaker 2: But my pool died and after many years of good use,
- 3:56Speaker 2: it just finally caved and it was just too expensive
- 4:01Speaker 2: to get another one. And even if I bought it
- 4:03Speaker 2: and did all the work myself, that was really really hard.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Many years ago Tod put that pool up. I mean,
- 4:13Speaker 5: it was a lot of work. So I just have
- 4:16Speaker 5: not been able to do.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It, Susy was saying, and very unusual.
- 4:22Speaker 5: What was the temperature out there in Kerville.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Susy, it was like, I think how he said it
- 4:29Speaker 6: was one oh five there today, Oh my god, Well
- 4:33Speaker 6: just before he left, on the.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Top of humidity in mock everywhere.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, with humidity and that kind of heat in
- 4:43Speaker 2: an area that normally don't get that hot out there,
- 4:47Speaker 2: I just can't even imagine. But I just got a
- 4:51Speaker 2: notice on my phone right before we came in for
- 4:55Speaker 2: the show that we might have some thunderstorms. So maybe
- 4:59Speaker 2: that a little bit of a tropical depression or whatever.
- 5:03Speaker 2: That thing is tropical storm will come in and cool
- 5:07Speaker 2: all this back down.
- 5:09Speaker 5: I sure hope.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So, because I'm not into this, I don't think that
- 5:14Speaker 2: I approved it. I don't remember seeing anything where they
- 5:18Speaker 2: asked for my approval for this kind of temperature. And
- 5:21Speaker 2: now that I know the truth that it's not ninety six,
- 5:25Speaker 2: it's one hundred and six.
- 5:27Speaker 8: In the sun.
- 5:30Speaker 2: So anyway, Susy, did you want to go into a
- 5:34Speaker 2: little bit of that now or you want to do
- 5:36Speaker 2: it later?
- 5:37Speaker 5: Tell them about what's going on.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Oh, we can get it out of the way. So
- 5:43Speaker 6: if when did the flood take place on the sixteenth,
- 5:49Speaker 6: we don't even remember. We're brain dead. So we had
- 5:55Speaker 6: a flood in Cervelle along the Guadalupe River. And it's
- 5:58Speaker 6: not just Curveville. Fifty six Texas counties were affected by flooding.
- 6:05Speaker 6: I don't know how many of them gotta what do
- 6:11Speaker 6: you call that an emergency declaration thing? How many city thought?
- 6:16Speaker 6: Twenty nine did? So what we're what we're seeing is
- 6:22Speaker 6: far less deaths, so far too and but four times
- 6:29Speaker 6: the property damage. So what they're doing right now is well,
- 6:36Speaker 6: almost immediately, you know, the phone sober here started ringing,
- 6:43Speaker 6: went through you know, a little bit of crying and
- 6:46Speaker 6: devastation and then pulling up your bootstraps and you know,
- 6:51Speaker 6: getting over there. I think the guys put somewhere between
- 6:56Speaker 6: five and six months in last time. There are organizations
- 7:01Speaker 6: that have been there since last year's fourth of July flood,
- 7:06Speaker 6: so that makes it thirteen months. So only thirteen months
- 7:10Speaker 6: ago was the last what they call that thousand year flood.
- 7:14Speaker 6: That's pretty funny. That's about as accurate as the temperature.
- 7:21Speaker 6: So right now, basically what they're doing is and of
- 7:25Speaker 6: course very very few people have insurance that'll cover this,
- 7:30Speaker 6: like flood insurance. They're going in and assessing. I would
- 7:37Speaker 6: almost say they're triaging houses and you know, worst first,
- 7:45Speaker 6: and so they're going in and they're ripping out carpet.
- 7:51Speaker 6: Seems like quite a few houses have like ceramic tiles,
- 7:55Speaker 6: so that's pretty nice going in and pressure water getting
- 7:59Speaker 6: every thing out. So one of the biggest things they've
- 8:02Speaker 6: been begging for is beins storage bins, like those heavy
- 8:09Speaker 6: duty black ones with like the yellow lids. And if
- 8:13Speaker 6: you go to doccroupa dot com and go to the
- 8:16Speaker 6: about page, you can scroll down to our link Renovation
- 8:21Speaker 6: and Design, Construction and then there is a page there
- 8:28Speaker 6: that is for the Guadalippe and we've had it up
- 8:31Speaker 6: since last year and I went in and refreshed it.
- 8:36Speaker 6: So there is a list of needs there if anyone,
- 8:41Speaker 6: you know, would be interested of different supplies and whatnot.
- 8:45Speaker 6: So there. Once they get everybody's things out, then they
- 8:51Speaker 6: go in and they pressure spray the floors if it's
- 8:53Speaker 6: solid surface, or rip out carpet. And then depending upon
- 8:59Speaker 6: how high up the water went, so you know, so
- 9:03Speaker 6: many more inches or foot above that, they you know,
- 9:08Speaker 6: pop a straight line, cut the sheet rock and then
- 9:11Speaker 6: cut out the insulation. Brain fart there for a minute,
- 9:20Speaker 6: and then you know, they go on to the next house.
- 9:23Speaker 7: And do that.
- 9:24Speaker 6: But this time we've got, uh, I don't know, at
- 9:27Speaker 6: least one organization that says that they want to provide
- 9:31Speaker 6: you know, building materials like the sheet rock, tape in
- 9:35Speaker 6: bed insulation, uh, you know, tuba fours, whatever's needed. This time,
- 9:42Speaker 6: we're we're trying real hard to not leave people with
- 9:45Speaker 6: just ripped out walls. But the first thing you got
- 9:47Speaker 6: to do is some how many said when you walk
- 9:50Speaker 6: into these houses for the first time since the flood,
- 9:54Speaker 6: that the mold smell hits you so hard in the
- 9:57Speaker 6: face that you know you it almost knocks you back
- 10:01Speaker 6: on your butt. And so they do have to I
- 10:06Speaker 6: mean in this, I mean we're we're natural health hours here.
- 10:09Speaker 6: I don't like chloring, bleach and chemicals and whatnot, but there,
- 10:15Speaker 6: I guess there comes a time when you do have
- 10:17Speaker 6: to spray. I don't know what it's called, but it's
- 10:22Speaker 6: for mold molds aside, I don't know what it's called, beings.
- 10:26Speaker 6: You got to go in there and you got to
- 10:27Speaker 6: spray that. People need to stay out, let it dry
- 10:31Speaker 6: for you know, a couple of hours and uh, I
- 10:34Speaker 6: mean overnight, and then go in there and start putting
- 10:39Speaker 6: things back together. But right now they're still in remediation
- 10:47Speaker 6: as far as uh as far as the tear out,
- 10:49Speaker 6: and uh, we all keep saying, we can't believe that
- 10:54Speaker 6: this happened again. A year later, worst property damage they
- 11:00Speaker 6: and of course at summertime there's kids at the camps
- 11:03Speaker 6: up and down the Guadalupe. And last time it didn't
- 11:06Speaker 6: go very well, and evidently this time it went much better.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Well, I could say one thing, if you need bleach
- 11:19Speaker 2: to kill that mold and that stuff.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Use it it's.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Not going to linger forever and you're not drinking it.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And hell they put it in all the swimming pools
- 11:29Speaker 2: forever and ever and ever, and I don't think it
- 11:32Speaker 2: killed too many of us.
- 11:35Speaker 5: So you do what you got to do right now.
- 11:40Speaker 2: If it was a giant cockroach and you couldn't kill it,
- 11:42Speaker 2: you'd bring in the army or somebody.
- 11:44Speaker 5: So good for you guys.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I saw something you posted on Facebook, but it was
- 11:53Speaker 2: going kind of quick scanning through it.
- 11:56Speaker 5: But was that your your guys doing dry wall?
- 12:03Speaker 6: There were Okay, So there's a lot of volunteers. I
- 12:07Speaker 6: mean I can how many Hellley fifty thirty at any
- 12:14Speaker 6: given point. So, uh, you know, the the fortunate. I mean,
- 12:21Speaker 6: there's a bright side to this. We've they've got the
- 12:25Speaker 6: they've got contacts from last year. I mean they went
- 12:27Speaker 6: in last year's absolute rookies. Uh you know, just greenhorns
- 12:33Speaker 6: if you would at this kind of work. And and
- 12:36Speaker 6: you know the drama, the police drama. The n g
- 12:39Speaker 6: o s wanted uh uh you know, the the good
- 12:42Speaker 6: old boys from the country out here that just wanted
- 12:46Speaker 6: to help their neighbors. They wanted them put in jail
- 12:48Speaker 6: if they wouldn't leave. Uh. This year, we're not hearing
- 12:52Speaker 6: that crap because, frankly, and I hate to say this,
- 12:57Speaker 6: the government's not stepping up this time. There's it's a
- 13:00Speaker 6: completely different atmosphere. You don't have over one hundred dead
- 13:05Speaker 6: little girls us from a summer camp. And we're trying
- 13:10Speaker 6: not to say things like the government doesn't care or
- 13:14Speaker 6: people don't I'm saying people don't care broadly broad stroke.
- 13:19Speaker 6: I don't mean that because there's obviously people that care,
- 13:23Speaker 6: but there's something psychological. Maybe Bill can chime in later,
- 13:27Speaker 6: But like I said, there's not over one hundred dead
- 13:32Speaker 6: little kids in campers, so people don't are not putting
- 13:39Speaker 6: out the effort that they put last year. The prior
- 13:41Speaker 6: flood was in what eighty six, eighty three? Okay, so,
- 13:50Speaker 6: and and of course it was summertime, and of course
- 13:53Speaker 6: it swept away busloads of you know, church camp kids.
- 13:59Speaker 6: But there's something different in the atmosphere this year that
- 14:03Speaker 6: we're seeing. We're not seeing as many people stepping forward.
- 14:07Speaker 6: And I do want to shout out to Mercy Chefs. Okay,
- 14:11Speaker 6: Mercy Chefs has food trucks. I think they've been here
- 14:16Speaker 6: for thirteen months, they've got to have a warehouse somewhere,
- 14:20Speaker 6: a centralized one, but they are basically meals on wheels.
- 14:26Speaker 6: They delivered food today. The block that the guys are
- 14:32Speaker 6: working on, the people just simply don't have any money.
- 14:36Speaker 6: And one story that got me a couple of days
- 14:38Speaker 6: ago is they were sitting and they were talking to
- 14:41Speaker 6: this homeowner. His phone ring and someone was obviously asking
- 14:46Speaker 6: for money, and he said, he goes, I've got twenty
- 14:49Speaker 6: five dollars to my name, but you can come get it.
- 14:53Speaker 6: That's the kind of things that were witnessing. And you know,
- 14:57Speaker 6: it never seems to fail that Mercy sh che shows up. Well,
- 15:02Speaker 6: one of the spokespersons for delivery persons for whatever they
- 15:06Speaker 6: are for Mercy Chefs said to my son, wherever you're working,
- 15:11Speaker 6: we're going to be there. And today they brought lunches.
- 15:17Speaker 6: You know that. You know it was it was protein,
- 15:20Speaker 6: it was a vegetable, it was like and I don't know,
- 15:23Speaker 6: some kind of an apple dessert and something else, a
- 15:26Speaker 6: couple of sides, but you know, a full, rounded out meal.
- 15:31Speaker 6: And there was imagine this just exactly enough of these
- 15:36Speaker 6: already boxed up meals for every volunteer and every homeowner
- 15:41Speaker 6: that wanted one. So that's that organization is called Mercy
- 15:45Speaker 6: Chefs and they've been on the boots on the ground
- 15:48Speaker 6: for thirteen months. There.
- 15:51Speaker 5: That's fabulous, fabulous anything.
- 15:53Speaker 8: Bill, Yeah, I h that was an interesting point about
- 16:00Speaker 8: how it doesn't seem to be the response, and I
- 16:05Speaker 8: think the sad part of that is that the novelty
- 16:09Speaker 8: has worn off. We had a disaster last year. I
- 16:12Speaker 8: don't need one this year. So okay, I'm not going
- 16:15Speaker 8: to do anything people. People have strange notions about how
- 16:23Speaker 8: to how to help and how to be of of
- 16:27Speaker 8: help the folks in need, and as I say, you know,
- 16:31Speaker 8: to be able to say, well, you know, we went
- 16:33Speaker 8: down to wherever and helped over that, but you know,
- 16:37Speaker 8: I'm not going to do it again this year because
- 16:38Speaker 8: it was just too much, and that it seems to
- 16:43Speaker 8: acquire a sense of, as I say, novelty, a sense
- 16:47Speaker 8: of sort of adventure. That's not what it's all about.
- 16:53Speaker 8: And maybe it's part of it, but it's you know,
- 16:57Speaker 8: the part is here here. We've got folks that are
- 17:00Speaker 8: pretty severely in need of just basic stuff, and you know,
- 17:06Speaker 8: where's where's our humanity? Where's I guess as a social
- 17:11Speaker 8: worker in me coming out. But where's where's the where's
- 17:14Speaker 8: the where's the care concern? You know? It's we see
- 17:19Speaker 8: that time after time in whatever kind of a crisis
- 17:21Speaker 8: we've had. It's whether it's a hurricane or a flood
- 17:26Speaker 8: or you know, people burnt out of their houses and
- 17:31Speaker 8: looking for some kind of relief. It's this, it's this
- 17:35Speaker 8: range phenomenon.
- 17:37Speaker 6: You know, Bill, I think you hit the nail on
- 17:40Speaker 6: the head, But were you using the word novelty. It
- 17:44Speaker 6: was definitely a novelty to a lot of people last year.
- 17:49Speaker 7: And it's and.
- 17:52Speaker 6: To even that that did not even come into my
- 17:57Speaker 6: soul or my son's or my husband's that.
- 18:01Speaker 7: It was a novelty.
- 18:02Speaker 6: You don't you don't burn through your own money and
- 18:06Speaker 6: your time and believe in me wear and tear on
- 18:10Speaker 6: your vehicle. My son had to have his truck put
- 18:13Speaker 6: in the shop at least three or four times from
- 18:17Speaker 6: the wear and tear on it from the last flood.
- 18:21Speaker 6: And I want to say that automotive shop paid for
- 18:27Speaker 6: most of it, But no, it is not a novelty.
- 18:31Speaker 7: You know.
- 18:31Speaker 6: I've often bragged and kind of rubbed everybody's nose in
- 18:37Speaker 6: it that we have a Gibson's Like, ha ha ha,
- 18:40Speaker 6: y'all miss Gibson's, don't you Well, I've got one just
- 18:43Speaker 6: down the roads where I can go. Get me a
- 18:48Speaker 6: old schools standless steel perculator and y'all can have y'all's
- 18:52Speaker 6: plastic stuff that breaks every nine months. Our Gibson's got affected. Okay,
- 18:58Speaker 6: it's not wiped out. Uh it had I don't know
- 19:02Speaker 6: what you think a foot of water in it and
- 19:05Speaker 6: they're they're cleaning up and they post a video every day.
- 19:10Speaker 6: But you know, somebody, it's not ours. Just I don't
- 19:15Speaker 6: know if we have our own favorite Mexican food place,
- 19:18Speaker 6: but the community one of the community's favorite Mexican places. Uh,
- 19:24Speaker 6: you know, just really really devastated. There's a place called
- 19:29Speaker 6: Green Deli. And not only did his business get covered
- 19:35Speaker 6: in mud and water, his home is devastated. So they're
- 19:39Speaker 6: living in an RV while they take care of their
- 19:42Speaker 6: home and there and their business. And you know, I've
- 19:49Speaker 6: been thinking that.
- 19:49Speaker 7: I thought about this the whole time Bill was talking.
- 19:54Speaker 6: Doc knows how I am about money, and he knows
- 19:57Speaker 6: that the last last thing, you know, if my cats
- 20:01Speaker 6: were in need, I would say with some of them
- 20:03Speaker 6: please get me a bag of cat THEI but if
- 20:05Speaker 6: I didn't have anything, I'd be you know how men
- 20:08Speaker 6: would you go shoot a deer. The last thing I
- 20:11Speaker 6: want to do is ask for for money. And I'm
- 20:14Speaker 6: not asking. If there's someone listening that thinks that that
- 20:18Speaker 6: they want to help, the totes is a big thing.
- 20:22Speaker 6: It's a like I said, they're a big, black, heavy
- 20:25Speaker 6: duty toats. I think you can give them like at
- 20:29Speaker 6: Low's and Home Depot and Ace and you know even
- 20:32Speaker 6: one one. I think they're black with the yellow lids
- 20:35Speaker 6: and we could use tons of those. And of course
- 20:37Speaker 6: they cost big money. No one's giving them away. They
- 20:41Speaker 6: were you know some But like I said, if you
- 20:43Speaker 6: go dot creeper dot com, scroll down to our link
- 20:49Speaker 6: renovation and Design. You can go to the website and
- 20:53Speaker 6: you can go to the tab that says Guadaloupe River Relief.
- 21:01Speaker 6: This is our second year working. And you know, there's pictures.
- 21:06Speaker 6: You can call and talk if you want to talk
- 21:08Speaker 6: to a real life person. But there's ways to give.
- 21:11Speaker 6: And I guess one of the best is and quickest
- 21:15Speaker 6: is gives and go. And you know, even five dollars
- 21:19Speaker 6: ten dollars is going straight towards supplies to help these
- 21:24Speaker 6: people get back into their homes and get back to
- 21:29Speaker 6: their lives.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Good stuff and good stuff from you Bill, something that
- 21:34Speaker 2: nobody brought up, And I guess we'll just go ahead
- 21:37Speaker 2: and do that since we're already deep into it. But
- 21:41Speaker 2: if you live in New Orleans, or you live here
- 21:44Speaker 2: and any place along the coast, you've been hit so
- 21:48Speaker 2: many times down here, and some people have flooded two, three,
- 21:54Speaker 2: four times, and one of the things that happens is
- 21:58Speaker 2: they become numb because they can't even get stuff fixed.
- 22:04Speaker 2: There's people still in this area in New Orleans that
- 22:09Speaker 2: have not been taken care of from two to three
- 22:12Speaker 2: hurricanes back and their numb people are out of money. Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 2: And like, one of the things I've noticed is I
- 22:21Speaker 2: have not seen, of course I don't watch a lot
- 22:23Speaker 2: of local news, but I have not seen any news
- 22:27Speaker 2: coverage where the governor of this state, or the lieutenant governor,
- 22:34Speaker 2: or the mayors out there, nobody on the news letting
- 22:39Speaker 2: people know what the hell's going on and telling them
- 22:42Speaker 2: where to help. That's why I thought it would be
- 22:44Speaker 2: good for you to get a chance to see because
- 22:47Speaker 2: I know how involved you guys are and how hard
- 22:49Speaker 2: your guys are working.
- 22:51Speaker 6: And you're right, they do get numb. It's very emotional.
- 22:55Speaker 6: You know. We rebuilt stairs and land and some other
- 23:01Speaker 6: stuff for this, and this is the second home for
- 23:05Speaker 6: these people, so, you know, whatever, they have a place
- 23:10Speaker 6: to live in San Antonio. But then a neighbor she
- 23:14Speaker 6: actually lives there, and it just so happened that her
- 23:20Speaker 6: brother was there a few days ago on the last
- 23:25Speaker 6: Friday or Saturday whatever, and met met the Huntleys, and
- 23:29Speaker 6: he said, my sister called and told me I cannot
- 23:34Speaker 6: do this again. I just I cannot do this again
- 23:38Speaker 6: with insurance. And I guess they got blood insurance because
- 23:44Speaker 6: she said she can't deal with the insurance again.
- 23:46Speaker 7: So the brother has stepped up and told.
- 23:48Speaker 6: Homie, I'm dealing with everything, you know, send me, send
- 23:52Speaker 6: me the bid. You know. They walked around and they
- 23:56Speaker 6: he said what he wanted fixed. But that's how bad
- 24:00Speaker 6: it is that the woman his sister literally doubled over
- 24:05Speaker 6: in tears crying, I can't do this again.
- 24:09Speaker 8: Yeah if I can, if you jump in on that,
- 24:11Speaker 8: that's again, I think people don't realize how devastating emotionally
- 24:17Speaker 8: these kinds of events are. It's not just that you've
- 24:23Speaker 8: lost the moment, but you've essentially lost your history. You know,
- 24:30Speaker 8: you have families, memorabilia, family memories, family photograph, all of
- 24:36Speaker 8: that's gone. All of that's gone, and what's left. Yeah,
- 24:42Speaker 8: I can't do it again.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Sure, yeah, I know. Down here it's bad.
- 24:47Speaker 2: My one of my patients their house flooded two or
- 24:53Speaker 2: three times.
- 24:55Speaker 5: And they were just numb.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Then they were out of money, and you know, pretty
- 25:01Speaker 2: soon you just don't know what to do anymore. It's
- 25:06Speaker 2: just rough and I feel sorry. But like Susie said,
- 25:09Speaker 2: go to our website. She made that website and she
- 25:14Speaker 2: knows it better than anybody, and you can go click
- 25:17Speaker 2: on their link and it'll take you to the information
- 25:21Speaker 2: and you'll be able to do some good and help
- 25:24Speaker 2: out if you'd like to, and I'm sure most people
- 25:27Speaker 2: would like to.
- 25:29Speaker 8: If I can get into one other quick thing, you
- 25:31Speaker 8: said something about this, and I was, you know, when
- 25:36Speaker 8: Susan started talking about this, I said, what the hell
- 25:38Speaker 8: is she talking about? You know, I don't watch TV,
- 25:41Speaker 8: I don't watch the news, I don't watch this. But
- 25:44Speaker 8: I haven't heard there's been a problem, there's any problem
- 25:49Speaker 8: out there, and I've never seen anything on the morning news.
- 25:53Speaker 8: When I walked through the room, I had no idea.
- 25:58Speaker 5: Yeah, that's my point.
- 26:01Speaker 2: A lot of the people that are in politics that
- 26:04Speaker 2: could have helped and circled the wagons and brought notoriety
- 26:08Speaker 2: to it haven't said anything.
- 26:12Speaker 6: You know, abbot abbot rolled in cruise went there.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, it's not it's not been covered very well, Susy.
- 26:25Speaker 2: In fact, I learned more listening to you just now
- 26:30Speaker 2: that I have.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Since it happened.
- 26:33Speaker 8: Yep.
- 26:33Speaker 2: And that's really sad, and God bless all those guys
- 26:38Speaker 2: that are out there and the women who are working
- 26:41Speaker 2: in that ungodly heat.
- 26:42Speaker 5: I've done that.
- 26:44Speaker 6: You know. Yeah, And we're not by any means, we're
- 26:48Speaker 6: not making this about us our family, the uh I
- 26:53Speaker 6: mean little Holmley's phone started blowing up from people from
- 26:57Speaker 6: last Flag going hey, boss, you know, I'm ready tell
- 27:02Speaker 6: me where to be, you know.
- 27:03Speaker 7: And that's the kind of folks that they work around.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Well, I told you the other day when we talked,
- 27:08Speaker 2: I said, and that first one people got to know
- 27:12Speaker 2: your husband and your son and your business, and they
- 27:17Speaker 2: saw the volunteer work and what you guys did, and
- 27:21Speaker 2: now everybody knows you and they know you know how
- 27:24Speaker 2: to organize and run stuff, so I figured your phone
- 27:28Speaker 2: would be wearing out. And God bless you guys, because
- 27:31Speaker 2: that's really special. And you know, I was thinking when
- 27:38Speaker 2: I saw that little clip today just cutting out the drywall.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Thank god, that means all the water receded. But now
- 27:47Speaker 2: you've got to spray for mold and start cleaning up,
- 27:50Speaker 2: and you got to get dumpsters in there.
- 27:53Speaker 5: It's a nightmare.
- 27:54Speaker 2: But around here it's almost become normal. You know, you're
- 27:59Speaker 2: trying to I'm home from work one day and everything's flooded.
- 28:02Speaker 5: You pray your house isn't flooded. We had it at
- 28:06Speaker 5: my house, and I.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Know how then people are feeling watching the water rise
- 28:11Speaker 2: because it got to my front door, and I said, shit,
- 28:16Speaker 2: I'm helpless. There's nothing else I can do. And thank
- 28:19Speaker 2: god it went away start receding, but it got within
- 28:24Speaker 2: a couple of feet. So I can't imagine, like Bill said,
- 28:28Speaker 2: everything you've got, your history or family or memorabilia all gone.
- 28:35Speaker 5: It's just so sad.
- 28:39Speaker 2: All right, Well, we were going to talk about parasites,
- 28:42Speaker 2: and I guess we still will. But if you need anything, guys,
- 28:47Speaker 2: contact the show and we'll get you to Susie and
- 28:52Speaker 2: her family business, her husband Honley, and their son Huntly, and.
- 28:58Speaker 5: You can help any way you like, and we'll be
- 29:00Speaker 5: glad to connect you.
- 29:02Speaker 2: So the reason we brought up parasites is they had
- 29:08Speaker 2: a cyclospora show up.
- 29:11Speaker 5: They're blaming taco bell. Well.
- 29:15Speaker 2: The problem with bacterias and viruses and parasites and all
- 29:22Speaker 2: those kind of things is sometimes they're good and sometimes
- 29:25Speaker 2: they're bad, and a lot of times, depending on your health,
- 29:31Speaker 2: you don't get bothered. And if you're not healthy or
- 29:35Speaker 2: there's a problem, especially in your gut, then a parasite.
- 29:41Speaker 2: There's nobody that you know that hasn't eaten out at
- 29:45Speaker 2: a restaurant somewhere and got home and had to run
- 29:48Speaker 2: to the John fest. That's your body saying emergency, emergency,
- 29:56Speaker 2: you know, click, let's go, let's get rid of this.
- 30:00Speaker 2: And what happens is people panic about it. But there's
- 30:04Speaker 2: a lot of things you can do to prevent that
- 30:09Speaker 2: taking place, and to deal with it after it's happened
- 30:12Speaker 2: if you need to. Some of the things that are
- 30:15Speaker 2: really important is make sure you got good gut pH
- 30:19Speaker 2: That means fermented foods, The fermented pickle juices that you
- 30:23Speaker 2: hear us all talk about on the show. That means
- 30:28Speaker 2: products like diaplex and probiotics that keep the gut floor right.
- 30:35Speaker 2: And if you've got parasites like a virus, they need
- 30:39Speaker 2: somebody to go to hang out with, They need to eat.
- 30:42Speaker 2: They're either on your skin or inside of you, but
- 30:45Speaker 2: they need you. And if you think about a parasite,
- 30:49Speaker 2: a tick is a parasite. It'll be on the outside,
- 30:52Speaker 2: on skin and everybody's dealt with them. But a lot
- 30:56Speaker 2: of the parasites that people worry about are on the inside.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And if you're real healthy and your gut's real healthy,
- 31:05Speaker 2: you might not have any problem. And the persons that
- 31:08Speaker 2: next to you gets really sick. And there's a lot
- 31:12Speaker 2: of things that that you have, like with standard process
- 31:17Speaker 2: and bety or we've got a lot of things that are.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Helping with parasites.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Garlic is a wonderful thing against parasites and bacteria and viruses.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I keep Zymex too on my shelf because they worry
- 31:37Speaker 2: about mosquitoes giving your poor animal a heartworm problem, and
- 31:46Speaker 2: I never want to see them poor animals given that
- 31:50Speaker 2: horrible heartworm medicine which it isn't a medicine. So I
- 31:55Speaker 2: use garlic and zymex too, and I use you know,
- 32:00Speaker 2: on people also, because we never know what's going on.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Where you eat less, sometimes you eat something that you
- 32:06Speaker 2: feel terrible. I can remember way too many times in
- 32:10Speaker 2: my life where I ate thought was a wonderful meal,
- 32:15Speaker 2: and thirty minutes later the floodgates were open and I
- 32:20Speaker 2: was miserable, and I had to get to a bathroom fast.
- 32:23Speaker 2: And a lot of people have told me about that.
- 32:25Speaker 2: So just to give you some ideas, Zimex two is
- 32:30Speaker 2: a great thing to keep on the shelf and take
- 32:33Speaker 2: once in a while. The fermented foods, the fermented pickle
- 32:38Speaker 2: juices that we get from all of my pickle wonderful.
- 32:42Speaker 2: We have black walnut, which is a meta or product.
- 32:48Speaker 2: We have berberine, Zimex two, which I mentioned already, mervforte
- 32:55Speaker 2: and that's ny or rh. Wormwood is an another excellent antiparasite.
- 33:04Speaker 2: And then our tembison is another one that's somebody or
- 33:08Speaker 2: a product. So there's a lot of things you can do.
- 33:12Speaker 5: It's important to have good gut bacteria.
- 33:18Speaker 2: And you need things maybe like zipan or diaplex. That's
- 33:21Speaker 2: got all that in there. You need the probiotics, and
- 33:25Speaker 2: if you'll do all that, you may be able to
- 33:28Speaker 2: sit out and eat a meal. And I guarantee you
- 33:31Speaker 2: every one of us has had meals that had something
- 33:36Speaker 2: in them that might not have been perfect. It's just
- 33:39Speaker 2: humanly impossible to work in a kitchen, to get food delivered,
- 33:45Speaker 2: to cook up stuff, to clean and nothing can ever
- 33:49Speaker 2: be perfect. That's why your body, thank God from the factory,
- 33:54Speaker 2: is built in with some protection mechanisms so that if
- 33:58Speaker 2: you do eat something that's not real good for you,
- 34:01Speaker 2: your body's going to help you get rid of it
- 34:04Speaker 2: and fight it off. If your gut is right, you
- 34:08Speaker 2: may kill whatever bad guy tries to visit.
- 34:11Speaker 5: You know, you don't let him in.
- 34:13Speaker 2: But if your gut is not right, or you've been
- 34:16Speaker 2: on a lot of medications.
- 34:20Speaker 5: And your immune system is beat up like unbelievable, it
- 34:25Speaker 5: might not take much.
- 34:28Speaker 2: What appears to be a pretty healthy food for everybody
- 34:32Speaker 2: else might be just enough to set you off because
- 34:36Speaker 2: you weren't. Your body wasn't prepared. So, like I said,
- 34:40Speaker 2: black walnut, Burberine zymex too. I keep it around the
- 34:45Speaker 2: house on a regular basis.
- 34:48Speaker 5: I give it to my.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Right now, just one dog, but I give I've given
- 34:54Speaker 2: it to the dogs a little bit of garlic. And
- 34:57Speaker 2: this helps in case any mesquite does carry the heartworm,
- 35:01Speaker 2: then we'll be able to fight it off. The merph
- 35:05Speaker 2: Forte wormwood and our temis and so those are good things.
- 35:18Speaker 2: And it's just about fighting, you know.
- 35:20Speaker 5: You keep your body tuned up and prepared, and the
- 35:24Speaker 5: body is pretty sharp.
- 35:25Speaker 2: It'll it'll do a lot of fighting for you, whether
- 35:28Speaker 2: you do anything or not. But it sure helps if
- 35:31Speaker 2: you give the body a few extra tools.
- 35:35Speaker 5: So before we go to break Susie anything.
- 35:41Speaker 7: Nope, I did the same thing with the kitty cats.
- 35:43Speaker 8: Here Bill, you talk about wormwood. I used to grow
- 35:53Speaker 8: wormwood as an ornamental. I used to put it along
- 35:56Speaker 8: the walkway to the garage you walk by to brush
- 35:59Speaker 8: your clothing against it. It smells just great. I've always
- 36:03Speaker 8: loved that smell. Down here, I can't do it. It's
- 36:07Speaker 8: just burned up too fast. But back home it was.
- 36:10Speaker 8: I always had some growing just love the smell of it.
- 36:16Speaker 2: I never heard of that, and I don't think i've
- 36:18Speaker 2: ever smelled it.
- 36:21Speaker 8: Once you smell it, you could always recognize it.
- 36:24Speaker 5: And you used to grow some.
- 36:27Speaker 8: You know, it's a herb or if they say down
- 36:30Speaker 8: here herb.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's got it in their product lines. I knew
- 36:36Speaker 2: it had to be herbal, but I've never seen it them.
- 36:39Speaker 6: It makes me wonder if there's a a good therapeutic
- 36:44Speaker 6: grade essential oil that you can make a spray to.
- 36:49Speaker 8: You know.
- 36:50Speaker 6: I know the outdoor kiddies would love to be sprayed
- 36:53Speaker 6: with that, but I would try it.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure there's an essential oil that helped.
- 37:01Speaker 5: There's a lot of good oils that have got a
- 37:04Speaker 5: lot of.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Great things in them, and a lot of your natural
- 37:07Speaker 2: flea and tick stuff. It's got some essential oils, so
- 37:11Speaker 2: I'm sure there's plenty of things. All right, guys, Well,
- 37:15Speaker 2: I guess we'll go to break a pretty good first
- 37:18Speaker 2: half hour and.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Just a lot of good information.
- 37:24Speaker 2: And now I know more about wormwood than I did before,
- 37:27Speaker 2: and I thought I knew every damn thing.
- 37:29Speaker 5: How Anyway, this is the doctor Groups Natural Health Hours.

- 41:13Speaker 5: All right?
- 41:13Speaker 2: We are back, Welcome back to doctor Cooper's Natural Health Hours.
- 41:18Speaker 2: We've got Susie and Bill and we've got Susie's husband
- 41:22Speaker 2: Hungley in the background there, and we're all on zoom
- 41:26Speaker 2: and we were talking about parasites, and we were also
- 41:31Speaker 2: talking about the devastation off the Guadalupe River. Most commonly
- 41:38Speaker 2: people know Kerrville in that area, but Susie said, like
- 41:41Speaker 2: fifty six counties have been damaged. So we send that
- 41:44Speaker 2: song out to reach out and if anybody needs help,
- 41:49Speaker 2: we'll be there.
- 41:49Speaker 5: So we hope everybody will help them.
- 41:52Speaker 8: Out.
- 41:54Speaker 2: We're at the point of the show where we either
- 41:56Speaker 2: do jokes, and we had to stop doing that because
- 42:00Speaker 2: Bill and Susy hurt themselves falling out of the chair laughing.
- 42:04Speaker 5: And we do some one liners.
- 42:06Speaker 2: But I got a choice for you guys tonight. We
- 42:09Speaker 2: have a bunch of one liners from different people. Are
- 42:14Speaker 2: a long quote, and you guys will probably guess who
- 42:18Speaker 2: he is because you always do that to me.
- 42:21Speaker 9: Uh.
- 42:21Speaker 2: It's a quote of a father's advice to his son
- 42:27Speaker 2: by somebody pretty famous in history. So which would you
- 42:32Speaker 2: like a bunch of individual one liners? Are this quote
- 42:37Speaker 2: of a father's advice to his son?
- 42:46Speaker 8: Good enough?
- 42:47Speaker 5: What's that?
- 42:49Speaker 8: Yep?
- 42:51Speaker 5: Okay, let's go to our one liners. I was ready,
- 42:55Speaker 5: of course, I'm always ready. Here we go.
- 43:00Speaker 2: When you're the only when when the only tool you
- 43:03Speaker 2: have is a hammer, all problems start to look like nails.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Ninety nine percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Artificial intelligence is no.
- 43:18Speaker 5: Match for natural stupidity.
- 43:21Speaker 2: The last thing I want to do is insult you,
- 43:25Speaker 2: but it is on the list. I don't have a solution,
- 43:31Speaker 2: but I do admire the problem. The only substitute for
- 43:38Speaker 2: good manners is fast reflexes support bacteria. They're the only
- 43:47Speaker 2: culture some people have. I'd like to tell them letting
- 43:53Speaker 2: the cat out of the bag is a whole lot
- 43:56Speaker 2: easier than putting it back in.
- 43:59Speaker 5: Susie about that? Well, here I am, and what are your.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Other two wishes? All right, that's pretty good. Let me
- 44:10Speaker 2: go down here. Sounds like it's time to get that
- 44:16Speaker 2: enterprise built. I guess they mean the spaceship from Star
- 44:21Speaker 2: Wars or not Star Wars.
- 44:26Speaker 8: Oh, my mind went blank.
- 44:29Speaker 5: What am I thinking about, guys, not Star Wars, star Trek. Yeah,
- 44:34Speaker 5: thank you. I knew that time does not exist. Clocks exist.
- 44:43Speaker 2: That reminds me. Somebody said, does John Wayne I have
- 44:50Speaker 2: a watch to tell time?
- 44:52Speaker 5: And the answer was no, John Wayne decides what time
- 44:58Speaker 5: it is.
- 45:00Speaker 8: Like that?
- 45:01Speaker 5: All right, my mind's made up.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Don't confuse me with the facts. Talk is cheap until.
- 45:10Speaker 5: You hire a lawyer.
- 45:13Speaker 2: My advice, I'm not using it. I got lost in thoughts.
- 45:20Speaker 2: It was unfamiliar territory. Sure, I'd love to help you out. Now,
- 45:27Speaker 2: which way did you come in? I would like to
- 45:33Speaker 2: slip into something more comfortable, like a como. I started
- 45:40Speaker 2: with nothing, and I still have most of it. Ever,
- 45:46Speaker 2: stop to think and forget to start again. I think
- 45:52Speaker 2: we could all relate to that one. There is no
- 45:56Speaker 2: dance without the dancers. Out of my mind back in
- 46:02Speaker 2: five minutes. The problem with troubleshooting is that trouble shoots back.
- 46:12Speaker 5: If you are here, who's running? Hell? If nothing was learned,
- 46:20Speaker 5: nothing was taught.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Very funny, Scottie now beamed down my clothes. The dogs bark,
- 46:32Speaker 2: but the caravan moves on. I don't know what that means.
- 46:37Speaker 2: And we got three more here, which one of these
- 46:42Speaker 2: is the non smoking lifeboat treat Each day as it
- 46:49Speaker 2: is your last.
- 46:52Speaker 5: One day, You'll be right.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Red meat is not bad for you. Fuzzy green meat is.
- 47:01Speaker 5: Bad for you. I like that, all right?
- 47:06Speaker 2: Any comments on any of them, guys.
- 47:13Speaker 8: Hard to pin that one down.
- 47:15Speaker 5: Well, that was a bunch of different people.
- 47:18Speaker 8: Yeah, but there's a yeah, just a lot of good
- 47:22Speaker 8: stuff there.
- 47:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:24Speaker 2: And I'm gonna give you just a brief one of
- 47:26Speaker 2: the one for the father to his son, and you
- 47:29Speaker 2: might know it.
- 47:30Speaker 5: He said, if.
- 47:32Speaker 2: You can keep your head when all about you are
- 47:35Speaker 2: losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can
- 47:40Speaker 2: trust yourself when all men doubt you, but make allowances
- 47:45Speaker 2: for doubting you. And then at the very end, he
- 47:49Speaker 2: tells his son, if you could fill the unforgiving minute
- 47:54Speaker 2: with sixty seconds worth of distance, run yours is the
- 48:00Speaker 2: earth and everything that's in it, and which is more,
- 48:04Speaker 2: You'll be a man, my son.
- 48:07Speaker 5: Ring a bell?
- 48:08Speaker 2: Guys, Nope, nope, Oh that amazing.
- 48:13Speaker 5: That was Rudyard Kipling. Well I never ThReD you guys
- 48:17Speaker 5: would know that.
- 48:19Speaker 2: You always know every damn thing when I asked, so
- 48:22Speaker 2: I finally got one.
- 48:23Speaker 5: You didn't know.
- 48:24Speaker 8: You had to dig pretty deep for that.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Yeah, well finally, I mean usually you and Susie gang
- 48:29Speaker 2: up on me, and no matter what I bring up,
- 48:31Speaker 2: you guys have heard of it.
- 48:33Speaker 5: And I'm the one.
- 48:35Speaker 7: Yeah, obviously I'm old enough to know who that is.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right, ladies and gentlemen, you're gonna hear Susie
- 48:41Speaker 2: try to tell us how young she is many times,
- 48:45Speaker 2: But all I could tell you is the first boat
- 48:47Speaker 2: right boat ride she went on was an arc.
- 48:52Speaker 6: Oh come on now, all right.
- 48:59Speaker 5: I was thinking the other day, and I know that
- 49:01Speaker 5: can be dangerous, But how.
- 49:04Speaker 8: Many kids experiences usually.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Are thanks a lot, how many kids growing up today
- 49:16Speaker 2: don't know what clockwise and counterclockwise mean, because you know
- 49:23Speaker 2: most of them they don't have watches. They have cell
- 49:28Speaker 2: phones and a computer and everything's digital.
- 49:34Speaker 6: The same kids that can't.
- 49:37Speaker 7: Write in cursive don't know that.
- 49:41Speaker 2: You know, that's always been funny to me, because when
- 49:43Speaker 2: I was in school, we just called it writing. I
- 49:47Speaker 2: never heard cursive until twenty five years later. Maybe I
- 49:52Speaker 2: was taught inside of one room block cabin.
- 49:55Speaker 8: I don't remember.
- 49:59Speaker 6: I I thought that you chiseled your homework onto a
- 50:04Speaker 6: sheet of plate.
- 50:07Speaker 2: I maybe did, and I still have the chisel, Still
- 50:14Speaker 2: have the chisel, all right, they Honley, I'm running out
- 50:24Speaker 2: of sympathy guards.
- 50:26Speaker 5: You're gonna have to help me here.
- 50:29Speaker 6: Hey, he is not complaining, not going to complain because
- 50:33Speaker 6: he came home to me putting jalapeno poppers together.
- 50:38Speaker 5: Oh that.
- 50:41Speaker 2: You married well, Honley, you married well. Of course you
- 50:44Speaker 2: didn't have a choice. She had a gun. It was
- 50:47Speaker 2: the only the only modern day wedding where they read
- 50:53Speaker 2: their own vowels. But she had written his and there
- 50:56Speaker 2: was a gun at his ribs. While they were saying,
- 50:59Speaker 2: I do you.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Know what's funny is my dad had a rifle and
- 51:04Speaker 6: a shotgun, and I think my grandfather had a rifle
- 51:08Speaker 6: and a shotgun. They were four hunting. And then it
- 51:13Speaker 6: wasn't until my grandfather died that my grandmother bought a
- 51:17Speaker 6: pistol and she slept with it under her pillow. So
- 51:21Speaker 6: that's how few between two families there was five guns.
- 51:26Speaker 6: I mean, who has five guns anymore? My point being
- 51:34Speaker 6: is that I didn't really wasn't really raised up around guns,
- 51:37Speaker 6: gun collectors, or people who had a notion that, you know,
- 51:44Speaker 6: more than five guns it was necessary.
- 51:47Speaker 5: Well a core along the line.
- 51:49Speaker 2: You got a blood transfusion from Annie Oakley and Granny
- 51:54Speaker 2: on the Beverly Hillbillies.
- 51:56Speaker 5: That's all I could tell you. And maybe a little
- 51:59Speaker 5: Betty crop or on.
- 52:00Speaker 6: The side, well I could you know, you know me,
- 52:06Speaker 6: I shoot from the hip literally. You know, when your
- 52:09Speaker 6: dad gets murdered, it changes your life and you either
- 52:12Speaker 6: go towards being a a liberal gun gate gun hating Karen,
- 52:21Speaker 6: will you become a gun collector? So y'all can guess
- 52:25Speaker 6: which one I am?
- 52:27Speaker 2: Well, yeah, But the ones that become gun haters are
- 52:30Speaker 2: the ones that don't ever realize truly what the situation
- 52:38Speaker 2: is and that their idea of taking away all the
- 52:42Speaker 2: guns leads to really bad things. So the smarter, the
- 52:46Speaker 2: smarter decision was the one you did. But you didn't
- 52:50Speaker 2: have to think about it. I guarantee it was in
- 52:52Speaker 2: your blood, your gut told you to do it. So
- 52:58Speaker 2: pretty interesting and very sad that you had to go
- 53:00Speaker 2: through all day.
- 53:03Speaker 6: There's some parasites you need guns for. Yes, I just
- 53:07Speaker 6: wanted to keep us on topics.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Doctor Dobbin's my favorite nutritional doctor that I ever took
- 53:15Speaker 2: a class from in my life.
- 53:18Speaker 5: He said, who's the worst parasites?
- 53:23Speaker 2: And and he said kids, He said, you can't shoot him.
- 53:29Speaker 5: You can't get rid of them. We've tried all that.
- 53:32Speaker 5: They just come back and you can't shoot him. It's illegal.
- 53:37Speaker 2: But they're parasites and they will drain everything from you.
- 53:44Speaker 2: He was a funny guy. Funny, funny guy, but smart man.
- 53:48Speaker 2: I don't think I could carry his computer. The guy
- 53:52Speaker 2: was this unbelievable smart and and kind of like Bill.
- 53:57Speaker 2: I don't think there was a class he didn't take.
- 54:00Speaker 5: This guy was a.
- 54:03Speaker 2: In the Navy in the nuclear submarine program. And you
- 54:07Speaker 2: can't get in that unless you're like Einstein. I mean,
- 54:11Speaker 2: it's a tough, tough road. So he knew a lot
- 54:14Speaker 2: of stuff.
- 54:16Speaker 6: Well, I can't see Bill taking home ac so maybe
- 54:20Speaker 6: there was one class he didn't take.
- 54:22Speaker 5: Well, he might have.
- 54:23Speaker 2: I took typing just because it was loaded full of women.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I mean, you know, even then I was looking the
- 54:31Speaker 2: door and say, that's a class I might want to take.
- 54:37Speaker 5: I hated school though, so bad. Oh, I hated school.
- 54:42Speaker 2: The first time I can honestly say I enjoyed classes
- 54:49Speaker 2: was when my senior year they let us go to
- 54:52Speaker 2: a junior college half a day, and.
- 54:56Speaker 5: That was wonderful. I did TV and radio electronics, and
- 55:01Speaker 5: it was.
- 55:02Speaker 6: So was that when Holey and I first started dating.
- 55:07Speaker 6: Of course, you know, we're young, We're talking about high
- 55:09Speaker 6: school and whatnot. And I was telling him about our
- 55:11Speaker 6: high school and you know what we had to do.
- 55:15Speaker 6: And I told him there was a motocross team, and
- 55:18Speaker 6: he was really into dirt bikes, and I'm glad he
- 55:22Speaker 6: grew out of that somewhat. And he could not believe
- 55:27Speaker 6: that that our high school had a motocross team, and
- 55:32Speaker 6: he said he was just he was raised up in
- 55:35Speaker 6: the wrong part of town. He should have gone to
- 55:37Speaker 6: that school.
- 55:38Speaker 5: Yeah, I never heard of that.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I grew up outside of Saint Louis, and everybody had
- 55:44Speaker 2: a motorcycle and except me. I finally got one when
- 55:48Speaker 2: I got older and got a job, but all my
- 55:51Speaker 2: friends had Yabaja one hundreds and Suzukis and Honda Elsinor's
- 55:57Speaker 2: and that. It was all these dirt bike trails where
- 56:01Speaker 2: we grew up. You could just go ride forever.
- 56:03Speaker 5: I don't know whose property it was, but nobody cares.
- 56:06Speaker 6: Yeah, Homley still has his motocross from his bike from
- 56:09Speaker 6: his teens.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they were wonderful, the Yamao, Yamaha Kalisaki, and then
- 56:19Speaker 2: when Honda came out with the Elson over two fifty,
- 56:23Speaker 2: that was the baddest motorcycle ever at that time.
- 56:27Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what everybody wanted.
- 56:28Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it was unbelievable.
- 56:31Speaker 2: You could be in fourth or fifth gear and hit
- 56:34Speaker 2: the throttle and it would stand up that it was
- 56:37Speaker 2: a mean beast.
- 56:40Speaker 5: So yeah, that's cool. I didn't know Honley like that. Yeah.
- 56:42Speaker 2: I've loved motorcycles since I was a kid, but my
- 56:45Speaker 2: dad said I couldn't have one. So when I started working,
- 56:49Speaker 2: I bought one and I hit it and one night
- 56:53Speaker 2: I came home from work and my dad and brother
- 56:56Speaker 2: had found it and they hot wired it and were
- 56:58Speaker 2: riding it all day.
- 57:00Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, Well, Holmy got his through a bribe.
- 57:05Speaker 6: His parents. You know, they were from that doctor spock era,
- 57:10Speaker 6: and you know they raised kids totally different and you know,
- 57:15Speaker 6: if kids acted up or rebelled or you know, had
- 57:23Speaker 6: adhd didn't like school, they sent them to military school
- 57:29Speaker 6: in Saint Marcus. And the grandparents bribed him and said,
- 57:35Speaker 6: if you'll just do it for a year, we'll get
- 57:38Speaker 6: you a dirt bike. And he was like, okay, fine.
- 57:43Speaker 5: Yeah, that's kind of cool.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I'll tell you what, if I had it to do
- 57:48Speaker 2: over it again, I would have went in the Navy
- 57:52Speaker 2: as an officer, and I would have went to one
- 57:56Speaker 2: of the schools that had an officer program, are one
- 58:00Speaker 2: of the military schools like they had. I think General
- 58:04Speaker 2: Patton went to uh was it Vermont or.
- 58:13Speaker 5: Virginia Military Academy, and then he went then he went
- 58:17Speaker 5: to the main stuff. But I think that's you go
- 58:23Speaker 5: in as an officer, especially on the in the Navy,
- 58:27Speaker 5: and you have your own little state room. It's not much.
- 58:30Speaker 2: It's not not like going on a cruise uh you
- 58:33Speaker 2: know cruise ships today, but it's a little a lot
- 58:36Speaker 2: better than the life we had there was.
- 58:39Speaker 5: We were in an area of the bunking for US
- 58:45Speaker 5: non coms, and we had twenty eight racks in an
- 58:51Speaker 5: area the size of most people's dining room and living room,
- 58:56Speaker 5: and there was like stacked three or on top of
- 59:01Speaker 5: each other.
- 59:02Speaker 2: And you didn't have a regular mattress that had like
- 59:05Speaker 2: a pad. Thing wasn't the greatest thing in the world.
- 59:09Speaker 2: But back then you were young and you didn't really
- 59:12Speaker 2: think about it. But looking back, it wasn't so cool.
- 59:16Speaker 2: But I wouldn't I wouldn't have mind it going in
- 59:18Speaker 2: as an officer. A better life, better money.
- 59:21Speaker 8: Uh.
- 59:22Speaker 5: And the ain't nothing better than the navy dress whites.
- 59:25Speaker 5: Nothing better.
- 59:28Speaker 6: Kind of reminds me of Thomas Magnum, was that Magnum
- 59:35Speaker 6: p I Yeah, when he's all dressed up, you know,
- 59:39Speaker 6: in his navy whites, it's just swoon.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Well, that to me, that was the best looking uniform
- 59:47Speaker 2: there was. And like I said, if you're if you're
- 59:50Speaker 2: in the Navy and you're an officer, you got a
- 59:53Speaker 2: lot better life on one of them ships.
- 59:57Speaker 6: Yeah. I heard I heard a wise woman once say
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: I'm married, not.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Dead, Honley, poor devil you got even there cooking right now.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: No, actually, he is laying down on the couch enjoying
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: the ac.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Oh, good for him, So we're going to leave him alone.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: What do you run your ac at? I bet it's
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: like sixty degrees in.
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: Your house, it is. I run it at sixty eight during
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: the day in sixty seven at night. So all of
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: you environmentalists, you know, bring it.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: Oh, I would have my house much cooler. But the
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: electric company is killing me.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: You know. It's just ungodly what you have to pay here.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: That is one thing good about the co op. Yes,
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: last month's bill, the one I just paid, was two
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: sixty five.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Oh, mine was double that. I think.
- 1:01:03Speaker 10: I cry.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Oh, I couldn't really see the numbers because I was crying, crying.
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: But now I will say, ceiling fans help an awful lot.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Well, I have ceiling fans in the attic.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I have those whirlybirds, and it's the best thing I've
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: ever seen for getting rid of the heat.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: And it just it just don't matter. It just doesn't matter.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: If I had a two hundred dollars electric bill, I'd
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: be dancing in the streets with my Scotch.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: That's what I hear from other people that you know,
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: live in the big cities how huge their bill is,
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: and and I'm like, y'all don't even want to know
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: what my bill is. Last month it was one nine three.
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: Oh. Oh, that hurts my heart. I'm glad for you,
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: but it's killing me on this hint.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: You know, I was thinking any other day they were
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: talking about or they were showing somebody in jail somewhere, and.
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: It ain't like that in Houston and Harris County.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: I want to move out of this county so bad,
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: if God would just bless me with a few dollars.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: But they arrest an average of ten thousand guys and
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: girls a day in the Houston Harris County area, and
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: that's how.
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: They make their money.
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: Yep.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: And I was thinking of Bill and Syddy.
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: I hope.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: I'm sure you guys have a comment.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: But there's something demoralizing about that, because I don't understand
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: how a man or a woman who's in a law
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: and so called law enforcement forgets that it's protect and serve,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: forgets that they work for the community and can pull
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: people over.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: And I've seen good and bad. I've seen them, you know,
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: do the screaming and hollering it.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: I'm giving you a command, And I think if you're
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: in a position of that kind of power, I think
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: it's wrong that you think you have that power. But
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: they do because they're wearing the guns and they got
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: the sheriff's department to back them up.
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: But would you want it done to your mom.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: Or your sister, or your daughter, or your wife, or
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: your son or yourself? Would you want to see them
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: get arrested over something as ridiculous as a bad check?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: And how are they going to pay the bad check
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: once you've thrown them in jail?
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: Oh? But yeah, we got the bail Bondsmen get money,
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: the court system gets money, the sheriff's department gets money.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: Everybody's making money on ten thousand lives.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: A day in this county going through that hell. And
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: it breaks in my heart.
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: You know what you were just spot on the topic
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: of today's show, parasites.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: Yeah, build anything on that.
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: I should a little bit. But you're talking about protecting sir.
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: I think if you ask a lot of these really
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: tough guys about that, that would be exactly what they
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: would tell you that they're doing. It's just been redefined
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: by a whole different outlook of training and thought about
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: this kind of stuff. You know, it's like the whole system.
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: The police want a confession, the DA's want a conviction
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: into story, and they do what they got to do
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: to get it.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched the show that We're going to break
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: here just minute. But I watched the show the other
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: night and it was a true story, which most of
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: them are on TV, but this one they made sure
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: you knew it was a true story.
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: A young guy, he's probably.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: I don't know, fifteen to eighteen years old, somewhere in there,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: and his parents were they took him in when he
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: was young and adopted him. He was from bouncing around
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: the foster homes and so he'd gotten a little bit
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: of trouble, nothing bad, but you know, growing up stupid,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: and when you've been bounced around in foster homes, I guess.
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: You really have an issue there.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: And anyway, there was two guys that went to this
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: park at night and they were making everybody in that
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: park lay down, and then they come around and rob
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: them and one guy tried to stand up to him,
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: and this guy shot Hi mcgildy. But it was dark
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: and most of the people were laying face down. They
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: didn't look up. But this one young guy and he
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: was only fifteen, recognized the shooter.
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: And that was it.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: But what the cop did he went to the file
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: and pulled out the shooter's file, and right behind it
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: was two kids named McLoughlin. One was maybe tied to
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: the shooter, but they weren't, you know, they didn't know that,
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: and the other one was this young guy and he
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: hadn't been tied to him at all. Anyway, he pulled
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: it out and this was the detective's first case, and
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: he had the young kid identify the shooter, which was easy.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: He recognized him and he had a weird look to him.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: But the other one, they had two of the kids
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: with the same name, and he said, uh, this is
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: the other the one, isn't it, and because he thought
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: it was tied to that guy and the young kid
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: didn't know, so he said okay. So then they go
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: to do the lineup and he and the kid says,
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: I don't I didn't see him very well.
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: I don't know I can do this. And he said,
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: all you got to do is pick out the kid
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: in the picture that you showed that we showed you.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: I said, wait a minute, you're supposed to pick out
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: from the lineup what you saw, not the picture of
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: the detective gave you. So anyway, this young kid.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Testifies that it was the picture, and then that all
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: that stuff and the and the young man who hadn't
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: committed a crime wasn't there got sent away for like
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: thirty years in prison. And they fought and they did
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: everything they could, and when judge said, well, you didn't
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: give us enough evidence to have a new trial.
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: And finally the young boy at the time.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Who had said that was him in that picture's got
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: to feel un guilty and went and told the police
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: department what really happened, and they took it to another
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: judge and the judge said, I am so sorry. She said,
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: I have read this and it is a miscarriage of justice.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: And they were worried.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Because that young kid didn't show up to tell them
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: the truth in court. But she said, I've already read
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: his statement, and I apologize to you, and you are free.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: And then it tells you at the end of the movie,
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: they awarded him. This was back in the eighties, one
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: point five million dollars for what they did to him. So,
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: I mean he lost a lot of years of his life.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: He was in jail seven or eight years. Very sad,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: very sad. All right, guys, well we're going to go
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: to break.

- 1:11:57Speaker 8: Name I said, would you.
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: Like could train? He said, thanks, I'll have a double.
- 1:12:10Speaker 9: I worked up before.
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: Thirds to just listening to all your troubles.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: And Wildly makes that crank.
- 1:12:24Speaker 11: I don't smoke Wand if you got it might be
- 1:12:28Speaker 11: long holy.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: At the top, but this a bitch at the bottom.
- 1:12:48Speaker 11: I left the hundred on the table and didn't wait around.
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: For changing with my old little little.
- 1:12:59Speaker 11: Lighter and my thinking and read your range. Best stranger
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: made me real life how thankful lie should be.
- 1:13:13Speaker 9: And if I forget, I hope those words.
- 1:13:17Speaker 11: She said come back to me.
- 1:13:23Speaker 8: I said, what you like a train?
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: He said, thanks, I'll have the double.
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: I've worked of a powerful thirds to just listening to
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: all your troubles, and Wildly.
- 1:13:43Speaker 8: Makes that train.
- 1:13:46Speaker 9: I don't smoke Wane.
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: If you've got it, it might be longly at the top,
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: but it's a bit at the fun.
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: All Right, we are and I love that song.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: Country music star complaining how tough it is to be
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: rich and famous, poor devil. Anyway, we are back, and
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: when we're running a couple of minutes in a different schedule,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: but we're not live, so that's not really important.
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: So let's go right to Bill wild Bill, take it away.
- 1:14:24Speaker 8: Okay, Yeah, I was. I've always kind of been interested
- 1:14:30Speaker 8: in how things come back to you. You're thinking about something,
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: and one thing leads to another, and one thing leads
- 1:14:39Speaker 8: to another, and kind of happened over over the weekend.
- 1:14:46Speaker 8: I was many years ago. I had a patient who
- 1:14:51Speaker 8: had a grown daughter and oh, girl was out on
- 1:14:58Speaker 8: her own as she's not living get home, but just
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: so she was. She was an adult, but brought brought
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: the daughter to the session. And this has to do
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: with paying attention to our intuition and being aware of
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: of sort of the ability to recognize things at a
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: very different level. There was something about this young gal
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: that was very disturbing. She's very polite, very quiet, spoke well,
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: was dressed appropriately and no tattoos. So it was that
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: long ago, but there was something about this this young
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: young woman that I said was really disturbing, and I
- 1:16:00Speaker 8: is that as we were we were talking, and she
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: never never entered the conversation. She was quiet for the
- 1:16:09Speaker 8: entire thing. She sat there very quietly, but there was
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: something about her that was profoundly evil. It was an
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: energy that was beyond negative. It was an energy that
- 1:16:28Speaker 8: that tried to absorb everything around her and distort it.
- 1:16:36Speaker 8: I've only had that experience two or three times. I know.
- 1:16:39Speaker 8: We've all met people that we knew right away we
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: would like they were there was just something about that
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: person that was totally acceptable to us. And we've all
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: met a few people that we knew we didn't like
- 1:16:54Speaker 8: and that we knew was going to be a problem
- 1:16:59Speaker 8: and was is not not a good not a good thing,
- 1:17:02Speaker 8: which then got me to thinking about, well, some folks
- 1:17:08Speaker 8: are some folks are are good, and some folks aren't
- 1:17:11Speaker 8: and what's that all about? And you mentioned a week
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: or so ago about mythologies and which has been one
- 1:17:22Speaker 8: of my interests for many years, and reading about different
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: cultures and and their spirituality and how that plays out,
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: and how what is what is acceptable in one culture
- 1:17:37Speaker 8: and is good in one culture the same thing in
- 1:17:40Speaker 8: another culture is not good? Uh in is evil? And
- 1:17:44Speaker 8: what what makes that happen? And it seems in looking
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: at these different mythologies, they all have three things in common,
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: no matter how that manifests itself in terms their rituals
- 1:18:01Speaker 8: or in terms of how they express themselves, that there
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: are three very general things that they all have in common.
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: They all have a sense of what is good, they
- 1:18:11Speaker 8: all have a sense of what is evil, and they
- 1:18:15Speaker 8: all have a concern about what happens after this life.
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: And now how that all plays out in terms of
- 1:18:22Speaker 8: their own cultures is what makes them different and unique.
- 1:18:26Speaker 8: But even as we call it, and I've always disliked
- 1:18:32Speaker 8: the term, but if we talk about primitive cultures, it
- 1:18:36Speaker 8: seem to me that primitive cultures more often are closer
- 1:18:39Speaker 8: to the truth than the more sophisticated cultures. But that's
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: just me. But they all have this thing.
- 1:18:47Speaker 6: So what is.
- 1:18:50Speaker 8: What defines good and what defines evil? And again, this
- 1:18:55Speaker 8: seems to be fairly cultural specific, but it also is
- 1:19:01Speaker 8: very generally specific that and there's not much of a definition.
- 1:19:06Speaker 8: But goodness simply means a lack of evil, and evil
- 1:19:13Speaker 8: means simply a lack of goodness. We've associated light with
- 1:19:21Speaker 8: goodness and dark with evil. And how how this has
- 1:19:27Speaker 8: played out, And again, this has played out virtually in
- 1:19:30Speaker 8: all the cultures I've ever read about. I'm sure there's
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: somewhere that's not so, but I've done I know that.
- 1:19:37Speaker 8: And what kind of brought this, what brought this up,
- 1:19:40Speaker 8: was was going through the the room in the morning,
- 1:19:45Speaker 8: where the TV and there's a I guess a mugshot
- 1:19:49Speaker 8: of a suspect, or maybe I guess they can't show suspects.
- 1:19:55Speaker 8: Maybe he was convicted. I don't know. At any rate,
- 1:19:59Speaker 8: I think I think we've all seen faces of evil,
- 1:20:05Speaker 8: people who are totally into that darkness. There's no depth
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: in the eyes, there's no plasticity in the face. There's
- 1:20:18Speaker 8: nothing but.
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: Hatred.
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: And it's one thing to see a photograph of that,
- 1:20:29Speaker 8: but to encounter that in the flesh is a totally
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: different experience. It's a deeply frightening experience. There's just some
- 1:20:40Speaker 8: bad folks out there. And I think in our culture,
- 1:20:44Speaker 8: and I don't know about European culture, but certainly in
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: American culture, we tend to want to give almost everybody
- 1:20:51Speaker 8: the benefit of the doubt. We assume they're good until
- 1:20:54Speaker 8: they do something bad, and then we figure they're bad.
- 1:20:56Speaker 8: But I think that beyond that that there's an intuitive
- 1:21:02Speaker 8: response of fear, of reluctance to get close to this
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: and eagerness to be away from it. Animals have it.
- 1:21:16Speaker 8: Animals are very sensitive to that sort of thing. And
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: I think we're really not much difference, except that we've
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: talked ourselves out of this, being aware of our own
- 1:21:30Speaker 8: intuitive response to a person or a situation or a
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: group of people that is just not good, and to
- 1:21:37Speaker 8: be able to extricate ourselves from that seems to be
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: a good thing. We don't want to be involved with that. Again,
- 1:21:48Speaker 8: back to what makes the difference in goodness. Goodness is
- 1:21:54Speaker 8: a little bit more work. It's hard to be good
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: sometimes it's very easy to bad. It's very easy to
- 1:22:01Speaker 8: be evil. If we're good, we have to compare our
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: thoughts and our actions to a certain cultural standard, moral standard,
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: ethical standard that's accepted by people around it. If we're
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: if we're evil, if we're bad, that standard is irrelevant.
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: It doesn't matter. As I say, you know, we look
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: at some thinking of one culture, specifically that a sure
- 1:22:27Speaker 8: tick to paradise is to kill a non believer. Well,
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: that opens up a whole lot of stuff and white.
- 1:22:37Speaker 8: What does that mean. It's that that doesn't work for
- 1:22:43Speaker 8: our culture. But again it's still that if you don't
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: follow through that, you're essentially going counter cower clockwise, counter
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: to the cultural norm of that society. It's a difficult thing.
- 1:23:03Speaker 8: Evil stuff believes in chaos, in disruption, and unrest. In
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: fear and threat, goodness is about peace, contentment, joy rest.
- 1:23:27Speaker 8: It's a very different outlook, and it's a little harder
- 1:23:30Speaker 8: to allow ourselves. And this is part of the work
- 1:23:34Speaker 8: of goodness, to allow ourselves to feel contentment, or to
- 1:23:38Speaker 8: feel a sense of serenity, or to be at rest
- 1:23:46Speaker 8: with ourselves, which is the definition of contentment, to be
- 1:23:49Speaker 8: at peace with yourself. It's a very different kind of situation. Again,
- 1:23:58Speaker 8: it's almost a choice we have to decide to pursue
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: a venue of goodness. I've met three or four people
- 1:24:11Speaker 8: in my experience who for whom being good was not
- 1:24:16Speaker 8: an effort. It was They were just wonderful good people.
- 1:24:22Speaker 8: And I have met people who weren't. I think all
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: of us have done that. So much of that initial
- 1:24:30Speaker 8: response to those folks was intuitive. It was a gut feeling.
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: It was something that I was aware of but really
- 1:24:38Speaker 8: hadn't put a definition or cause to It was just
- 1:24:45Speaker 8: it was just a sensitivity. And I think we need
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: to not diminish that and not neglect it. We need
- 1:24:57Speaker 8: to be aware of what's going on around us or
- 1:25:01Speaker 8: where we are and what's going on. And I think,
- 1:25:06Speaker 8: you know, one of the The first first of the
- 1:25:09Speaker 8: three rules of stupid are is don't go to stupid places.
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: Take take a bit of thought about where you are
- 1:25:20Speaker 8: and is this the place I need to be. It's
- 1:25:22Speaker 8: again something that we tend to not there's such a
- 1:25:28Speaker 8: pervasive feeling of safety for so many people in this country,
- 1:25:31Speaker 8: and there's there's a lot of unsafe situations around us
- 1:25:35Speaker 8: that we somehow manage to skape. Boy most of us
- 1:25:39Speaker 8: do they happen. But not everybody is okay, and not
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: everybody is good, and it's not bad to be aware
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: of that. We may not be able to do anything
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: for them, and maybe that's not our place, and maybe
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: the best thing that we can do for them is
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: to go somewhere else. But it's said that initially intuitive
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: feeling about somebody. Back to this uh my patient I
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: had and the daughter, there was such such a sense
- 1:26:18Speaker 8: of aggressive anger within this young woman that was beyond
- 1:26:26Speaker 8: just being annoyed with her situation. You know, you talked
- 1:26:31Speaker 8: about about senses of goodness and senses of evil in
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: almost every culture there every every culture has that set
- 1:26:39Speaker 8: awareness of those two powers. The power of good, the
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: power of light, the power of of health, and the
- 1:26:47Speaker 8: power of darkness, of chaos and evil. It's almost a choice,
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: and not making a decision about that about which way
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: we're going to go as a choice, but there's almost
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: a choice about which pathway we're going to take. And
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: you know, I don't think there's a soul among us
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: who hasn't done stuff that we wish we wouldn't have
- 1:27:09Speaker 8: done that was not good. We've all done one or
- 1:27:14Speaker 8: two things that maybe we spend the rest of our
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: lives trying to erase or pay for or somehow take
- 1:27:23Speaker 8: care of. But we've all done them. But there's some
- 1:27:26Speaker 8: people who thrive on bringing harm, on destroying, bringing destruction.
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: We need to be aware that. I think our country
- 1:27:38Speaker 8: is in a place right now where that's coming once
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: again to be something to really think about, because there's
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: a lot of bad stuff going on that we tend
- 1:27:53Speaker 8: to gloss over because well, nobody would do that sort
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: of thing. Our government wouldn't do this, or whoever wouldn't
- 1:28:00Speaker 8: do Yeah they would, Yeah they would, And we need
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: to be aware of that the whole I remember one
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: of my young patients once said, don't judge me, don't
- 1:28:16Speaker 8: judge me, and I said, this young person is my
- 1:28:21Speaker 8: job as an adult to judge you and to decide
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: that what you're doing is wonderful or good, to decide
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: that what you're doing is not so wonderful and not
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: so good. Yeah, that's my job as an adult. It's
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: called survival. So to tell me to not judge you
- 1:28:39Speaker 8: is kind of stupid. We all judge ourselves, we all
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: judge others, and we have to understand and accept the
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: fact that sometimes when our judgment is convictive, there's a
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: good reason for that, and it's okay, that's okay, So
- 1:28:58Speaker 8: truss your intuition little. That's therey go.
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: Good stuff as always good and evil.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Unfortunately, I think most of us have been both at
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: one time or another. But you're right about there's some
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: things that you do in your life that eat it
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: you at least I know me yep, every day, and
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I wish I could go back and fix it.
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: Yeah, but you do fix it by not doing it again.
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what's for sure. And I think I told
- 1:29:36Speaker 5: you this before.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: There's sometimes when I've done some things wrong, but I
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: wish I'd have done them better while I was doing
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: it wrong.
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: And I can't explain that, Susie anything.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: Well, yeah, you know, you know me, I'm I'm gonna
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: shoot from the hip.
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: The fortunate thing is that we we serve a sovereign
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: and loving God who forgives. You know, the devil would
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: like nothing more than for us to be bombarded or
- 1:30:21Speaker 6: discouraged daily on things that we've done in our past.
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: And I'm a firm believer that when you ask forgiveness,
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: it's given. That's that's who our God is. But you know,
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: I think and I know that I have faced evil before.
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: You know, when I was, when I was very very young,
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: I would say, I know, twelve or thirteen, you know,
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: someone touched me that shouldn't have, you know, up above,
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: not below, and tried to force a kiss upon me
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: and scared the be jiggers out of me, and I
- 1:31:06Speaker 6: took off running. Okay, So I've faced evil before, and
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: I'm not embarrassed to say these things because some people
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: have had it far worse than me. I was not raped.
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: I was violated, okay, but I wasn't raped. But the
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: biggest one to me was, you know I was I
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: was so excited. Well, I didn't like that my camaro
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: got t boned by someone, you know, in a big
- 1:31:40Speaker 6: old pickup truck. But when I finally decided what I
- 1:31:45Speaker 6: wanted to drive after that, I'd been out, you know,
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: driving around looking and I pulled into this Buick dealership
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: and I saw a Buick Riviera and.
- 1:31:57Speaker 9: It was big as a boat.
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: I mean it was no, it was as big as
- 1:32:01Speaker 6: a yacht. And it was a It was a eighty
- 1:32:05Speaker 6: five and it had the big old plush tufted tuck
- 1:32:11Speaker 6: died whatever you call it, seats, electric seats, main roof.
- 1:32:17Speaker 6: I mean, you could have lived in that thing and
- 1:32:21Speaker 6: been comfortable. So I come home and you know, we're
- 1:32:24Speaker 6: waiting on insurance and whatnot. And you know, he's like,
- 1:32:28Speaker 6: and I told hen, I said, I found the car.
- 1:32:31Speaker 6: He goes, what I found? I found the car, and
- 1:32:35Speaker 6: I know the cars two or three years old. And
- 1:32:37Speaker 6: I said, let's go look at it, uh tomorrow, tomorrow,
- 1:32:41Speaker 6: And he's like, okay. So we went out there and
- 1:32:45Speaker 6: looked at it. And I'm just beaming. You know, I'm
- 1:32:48Speaker 6: a car and that anyways, and he's like, seriously, this
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: is what you want? And yeah, yeah, he goes a Buick.
- 1:32:56Speaker 6: I mean, this is a Chevrolet guy. I mean he
- 1:32:59Speaker 6: turned into a four. Yeah, this is what I want.
- 1:33:02Speaker 6: So anyways, fast forward. I had dropped the kids off
- 1:33:07Speaker 6: at school. We were living up in the Dallas area,
- 1:33:10Speaker 6: and I pulled up at a convenience store to run in,
- 1:33:12Speaker 6: probably get a coke. And so even if I'm going
- 1:33:18Speaker 6: to be in a store for thirty seconds, I'm rolling
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: up my windows and I'm locking my doors. I always have.
- 1:33:26Speaker 7: And so I pulled up kind of at the at
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: the side.
- 1:33:28Speaker 6: You know, you pulled up to a convenience store, and
- 1:33:31Speaker 6: over to the right hand side, you'll see the ice
- 1:33:34Speaker 6: machines and whatnot. And I pulled up over there on
- 1:33:37Speaker 6: that side, and there was I went to roll my
- 1:33:40Speaker 6: window up and it broke. It shattered into a million pieces,
- 1:33:46Speaker 6: the driver's side window. And this was the second time
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: it happened. So we had already replaced the window, but
- 1:33:56Speaker 6: the window tent hadn't been put on it. Well. When
- 1:33:58Speaker 6: it broke the first, the window tent kept all of
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: the glass in place. And when it broke this time,
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: it shatowed and it went all over my arm and
- 1:34:11Speaker 6: went on my face. I had two two or three
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: little necks. Of course, it was safety glass, but whatever,
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: and I'm in shock, and I look up and there
- 1:34:22Speaker 6: stands this man. And I don't think I'm exaggerating. He
- 1:34:27Speaker 6: had on like a black for door, and he had
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: on like a long black jacket. And when you were
- 1:34:35Speaker 6: talking about the eyes, the emptiness in the eyes, it
- 1:34:40Speaker 6: was empty.
- 1:34:41Speaker 7: In his eyes, but they were also black as coal.
- 1:34:45Speaker 6: And he had this sneer on his face, like he
- 1:34:50Speaker 6: was so happy that that had happened to me. And
- 1:34:54Speaker 6: I remember just kind of taking my hand and wiping
- 1:35:03Speaker 6: away the glass and putting my car in reverse and
- 1:35:07Speaker 6: leaving with glass all over me and drove home, you know,
- 1:35:13Speaker 6: in tears.
- 1:35:14Speaker 9: And Yeah, the thing that.
- 1:35:18Speaker 6: Happened when I was like twelve or thirteen, it was evil,
- 1:35:23Speaker 6: but this was it was almost unworldly evil.
- 1:35:29Speaker 7: So I've faced it before.
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: Anything Bill that between you and her, I'm overloaded.
- 1:35:44Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, you've seen the face of evil. And I
- 1:35:48Speaker 8: think that so many people who go down that road
- 1:35:55Speaker 8: are really they're almost they really don't know any better.
- 1:36:00Speaker 8: There are people who go down that road who do
- 1:36:03Speaker 8: know better and who do it. They're kind of like
- 1:36:08Speaker 8: intermediate to my mind, intermediaries between that source of evil
- 1:36:14Speaker 8: power and the and the little footsoldiers who go around
- 1:36:18Speaker 8: and laugh at people who have had horrible things happen.
- 1:36:23Speaker 8: I think that so many, like the the guys who
- 1:36:26Speaker 8: you know, street robberies and all that, they're they're pretty
- 1:36:29Speaker 8: small potatoes in terms of the source, but they are
- 1:36:35Speaker 8: part of the source, and they are part of that destruction.
- 1:36:38Speaker 8: And what you saw is can be really disturbing. It
- 1:36:42Speaker 8: can be really disturbing to see some guy stand like
- 1:36:47Speaker 8: that and respond that way. And you did absolutely the
- 1:36:53Speaker 8: right thing. Get the hell out of there, right, Yeah.
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: I have been feeling sorry for the guy if she stayed,
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: so it's a good thing she left. All right, guys,
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: Well we are at break. Anything before we go to break.
- 1:37:11Speaker 6: I was more reserved back then. All I could do
- 1:37:13Speaker 6: was put it in reverse.
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: Sweetheart, you were always a tiger.
- 1:37:19Speaker 8: You just.
- 1:37:22Speaker 5: Yeah, you just developed more skills along the way.
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: Like I said, Hanley read those fowls and filled out
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: all the paperwork at gunpoint.
- 1:37:32Speaker 5: He had no choice.
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: All right, Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is Doctor Cooper's
- 1:37:38Speaker 2: Natural Health Towers. We've had a fun show. When we

- 1:37:44Speaker 5: Susie, do you Yeah?
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: I got one?
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: Well that's great because I figured you've been so busy,
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: might not have had one anyway, And we'll help her
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: name the company because God knows she needs our help,
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: and we will be right back Susie Ville myself.

- 1:39:17Speaker 2: that will be there fair pricing, quality work, and lots
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: of experience. You want a company that, if Ice decides

- 1:39:49Speaker 2: seven seven two one three one.
- 1:40:04Speaker 5: I spent half my life worrying. The other half taught
- 1:40:10Speaker 5: me not to.
- 1:40:29Speaker 10: I used to lose sleep over little things, what people thought,
- 1:40:34Speaker 10: what tomorrow might bring, Always trying to keep everybody please,
- 1:40:40Speaker 10: till I forgot about my own peace. I chased approval,
- 1:40:46Speaker 10: I paid that cost, spent too many years getting myself lost.
- 1:40:52Speaker 5: These days I smile and shake my head. Some things
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: just ain't worth losing sleep instead.
- 1:41:00Speaker 10: Two damn all to give a shit. Some battles just
- 1:41:05Speaker 10: ain't worth the fight. Life's too short for pointless drama.
- 1:41:11Speaker 10: I got a bitter things to do, pieces well, mor
- 1:41:16Speaker 10: thing being right.
- 1:41:19Speaker 5: That's one lesson. These won't quit.
- 1:41:22Speaker 10: Too damn old to give a shit. Finally, sleeping good
- 1:41:29Speaker 10: and name.
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: I like his attitude.
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: Welcome back to Doctor Crouper's natural health hours. Uh, he
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: put up trying to please everybody and he finally learned
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: not to.
- 1:41:49Speaker 5: All right, well we are back.
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: It is the twenty second of July and it's been
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: two damn hot and I'm talking to somebody since I
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: find out who they talk too. But anyway, it's that
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: time of the show where we're gonna help Susie because
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: God knows she needs it. With the name of the company,
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: and I know from really good source that it is
- 1:42:12Speaker 2: called Rolling Thunder and Down under construction, Susy.
- 1:42:18Speaker 7: Yeah, right now, that is what it's called.
- 1:42:22Speaker 6: But on other days we're called Renovation and Design custom homes.
- 1:42:27Speaker 6: We do remodel and new construction and restoration. Obviously, you
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: can go to doccrouper dot com, go to the about
- 1:42:37Speaker 6: page and scroll down. You'll see a link. They'll take
- 1:42:40Speaker 6: you to our website, and uh, we can be reached
- 1:42:44Speaker 6: at eight three zero three seven seven two one three one.
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: All right, take it away, Susie.
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: Okay, so conon. We've gotten a little bit away from
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: some of the money saving tips that I've been doing,
- 1:42:59Speaker 6: and I wanted to get back to that. I did
- 1:43:02Speaker 6: this a few days ago. And digging through the freezer,
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: and I was like, wow, I didn't know that I
- 1:43:11Speaker 6: had this pork shoulder or pork roast or whatever you
- 1:43:15Speaker 6: call it. I took it baut thought it and I'm like, okay,
- 1:43:19Speaker 6: am I gonna put this on a smoker.
- 1:43:20Speaker 8: What do I want to do?
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: Well?
- 1:43:21Speaker 6: I decided I wanted to make breakfast sausage out of it.
- 1:43:26Speaker 6: You know, if you buy breakfast sausage, I feel slightly
- 1:43:32Speaker 6: the ground meats or one of the things that I
- 1:43:37Speaker 6: don't really like pre ground.
- 1:43:40Speaker 7: It's icky. I always wonder what's in it.
- 1:43:43Speaker 6: That's why I've got two good butchers available to me,
- 1:43:48Speaker 6: but we have ground our own, you know, venison and whatnot. Well,
- 1:43:53Speaker 6: when a package, a one pound package cost over five dollars,
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: and I don't care what brand, it's pricey, it's ridiculous.
- 1:44:03Speaker 6: So this pork ROAs that I had was about it
- 1:44:06Speaker 6: was exactly three and a half pounds, and you know
- 1:44:11Speaker 6: it just after it was thought out. It took me
- 1:44:14Speaker 6: very little time. I've got an attachment for my kitchen
- 1:44:19Speaker 6: aid stand mixer that is.
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: A meat grinder.
- 1:44:22Speaker 6: It's all metal, and I just cut cut it into
- 1:44:27Speaker 6: chunks and you know, put it down the little shoot
- 1:44:30Speaker 6: and ground it up, and I just started adding the
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: seasonings to it. So basically I got three and a
- 1:44:41Speaker 6: half pounds. You know, by the time you add seasonings
- 1:44:44Speaker 6: and whatnot, it's a little more, not much more, about
- 1:44:49Speaker 6: the same price as one pound. So I tripled. Well,
- 1:44:57Speaker 6: I did three and a half times the seasonings since
- 1:45:02Speaker 6: I was doing three and a half pounds of ground pork.
- 1:45:07Speaker 6: And I will say, and this is probably going to
- 1:45:09Speaker 6: be a first for Doc and Bill. I do not
- 1:45:11Speaker 6: like fentyl seeds. I don't like they if they're on
- 1:45:16Speaker 6: a pizza, I can't stand it. But you know what's funny,
- 1:45:20Speaker 6: I think I told Doc I've done this before. Take
- 1:45:23Speaker 6: maybe a teaspoon of fenyl seeds and then pour some
- 1:45:28Speaker 6: boiling water over it. Let it steep for about you know,
- 1:45:31Speaker 6: five six minutes more do you want, and it will
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: literally as you're sitting on it, settled down an upset stomach. Well,
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: of course there's other stuff going on. You need to
- 1:45:46Speaker 6: take care of your gut and whatnot. But for initial relief,
- 1:45:52Speaker 6: fentyl seed.
- 1:45:52Speaker 9: Tea will will do it.
- 1:45:54Speaker 6: But I don't want it in my sausage. I don't
- 1:45:57Speaker 6: want it on my pizza. So if you want it,
- 1:46:01Speaker 6: it's one tablespoon of final seed, and then the rest
- 1:46:06Speaker 6: of the ingredients go like this. Half a teaspoon of
- 1:46:12Speaker 6: ground rosemary, half a teaspoon of time, a quarter of
- 1:46:17Speaker 6: a teaspoon of garlic pottern.
- 1:46:19Speaker 7: I probably did a half three times.
- 1:46:23Speaker 6: Half a teaspoon of onion powder, half a teaspoon of
- 1:46:27Speaker 6: a regino, half a teaspoon of margarine, half a quarter
- 1:46:33Speaker 6: of a teaspoon of sage, an eighth of a teaspoon
- 1:46:38Speaker 6: of crushed red pepper, and I did a quarter per pound,
- 1:46:44Speaker 6: and one teaspoon of good salt. There's another reason for
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: doing it yourself. You don't know what salt they put in,
- 1:46:54Speaker 6: you don't know what nitrates that they've put in it.
- 1:47:00Speaker 6: You save a ton of money, and you know the ingredients.
- 1:47:05Speaker 6: I have a teaspin of black pepper and a pinch
- 1:47:09Speaker 6: of nutmeg, And I know I mentioned this before, probably
- 1:47:13Speaker 6: in fall and winter, I buy a whole organic nutmeg
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: and I just keep it in my fridge and it
- 1:47:22Speaker 6: just stays forever and ever.
- 1:47:23Speaker 4: And I've got a little.
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: A little ceramic gadget that you can grade it with
- 1:47:32Speaker 6: and then you just mix all of this stuff together.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: I mean, you just get in it says to get
- 1:47:39Speaker 6: in there with two forks. No, get in there with
- 1:47:42Speaker 6: good clean hands, and mix and mix and mix, and
- 1:47:45Speaker 6: then put it in the container, put it in a baggy,
- 1:47:52Speaker 6: whatever you want, and let it sit at least overnight,
- 1:47:56Speaker 6: because you want those seasonings to do their thing. And
- 1:48:00Speaker 6: then what I did was I just lined a cookie sheet,
- 1:48:05Speaker 6: and I hope Bill has his new cookie sheet with
- 1:48:10Speaker 6: good and and I lined my cookie sheet with parchment paper,
- 1:48:15Speaker 6: and I just went ahead and made my little individual
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: patties and set him in the freezer, let them freeze.
- 1:48:26Speaker 6: And then I took him out and put him into
- 1:48:29Speaker 6: a baggy. So three and a half pounds of breakfast
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: sausage in it filled up a standard sized cookie sheet.
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: And they were extra big patties, not little dinky ones
- 1:48:45Speaker 6: by any means. Probably around five bucks, you know, plus
- 1:48:52Speaker 6: minimal seasonings. And that saves you probably on the three
- 1:49:00Speaker 6: and a half pounds about eighteen dollars, depending on your
- 1:49:06Speaker 6: your market.
- 1:49:10Speaker 5: Sounds pretty good, easy peasy, What do you think, Bill.
- 1:49:19Speaker 8: Yeah, my dad used to like breakfast sausage and it
- 1:49:25Speaker 8: was the only only way he liked fried eggs that
- 1:49:29Speaker 8: were kind of juicy. Was because he put the sausage down,
- 1:49:32Speaker 8: then laid the fried eggs over the top of the sausage,
- 1:49:35Speaker 8: them all up, cut them all up the same time.
- 1:49:37Speaker 8: It looked ugly. Oh man, what an ugly way to
- 1:49:40Speaker 8: start your day. But it was great.
- 1:49:43Speaker 7: It was yep, like like today.
- 1:49:46Speaker 6: I decided it was well. I had the big plans
- 1:49:51Speaker 6: of lighting up the tragger and and cooking up a
- 1:49:55Speaker 6: bunch of hamburgers and doing my uh my person. I
- 1:50:00Speaker 6: walked out, I don't know about four four thirty and
- 1:50:05Speaker 6: I said, no, not doing it. I mean some my
- 1:50:10Speaker 6: oven where the ace is. So anyways, my point is,
- 1:50:16Speaker 6: even though you've made patties, you could take out, you know,
- 1:50:20Speaker 6: two or three, uh, fry throw on, fry them up,
- 1:50:25Speaker 6: you know, crumble them up, and put them on the pizza.
- 1:50:28Speaker 6: Like tonight I mixed uh I think I mixed four
- 1:50:32Speaker 6: of them with some cream cheese and some chadar cheese
- 1:50:36Speaker 6: and stuffed the jalapenios that had been cut in half
- 1:50:41Speaker 6: and then wrapped that all of that in half of
- 1:50:46Speaker 6: a slice of bacon. So even my point is, even
- 1:50:49Speaker 6: though you've made patties, you can still use it for
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: other things. Yep, it's just easier to uh and faster
- 1:50:57Speaker 6: to thaw it out.
- 1:51:01Speaker 5: Yeah, all it all sounds pretty tasty. And I don't
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: know Bell.
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: Every time she tells us how easy it is, I
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: think she needs to come cook in our kitchens and
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: show us and then of course clean up.
- 1:51:15Speaker 7: Well, he ordered a cookie sheet for some reason.
- 1:51:18Speaker 6: Now I'm super curious.
- 1:51:21Speaker 5: Maybe he likes cookies.
- 1:51:24Speaker 6: Well, maybe maybe he bought a tube of the toe
- 1:51:32Speaker 6: House chocolate chip cookie though that you just cut and
- 1:51:37Speaker 6: lay on a cookie sheet.
- 1:51:39Speaker 5: And then how you make in that, how you make cookies.
- 1:51:43Speaker 5: You know, I was looking at my you know, you
- 1:51:48Speaker 5: had to bring this up the other day.
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: I was looking at my two cooking sheets in there,
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: and both of them are like black as can be
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: from one hundred years. And then I looked at those
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: one that you were talking about, and they look really nice.
- 1:52:02Speaker 5: So, you know, the only thing I don't like much
- 1:52:05Speaker 5: about you.
- 1:52:05Speaker 2: You like to use your parchment paper and it's made
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: with a couple processes that I'm not crazy about either,
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: but probably better than aluminum foil. But what I like
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: about aluminum foil unless you put something acidic in there,
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: you're not breaking down that aluminum.
- 1:52:22Speaker 5: And putting it in you. But you can do things
- 1:52:25Speaker 5: with it. You could fold it or wrap something.
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: And that parchment paper just wants to lay there, and
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: I've talked to it about it and it's still layser.
- 1:52:34Speaker 6: Well, I've taken like a fish flay and put it
- 1:52:38Speaker 6: in a parchment paper and then put like whatever seasoning
- 1:52:44Speaker 6: I wanted, or slices of lemons, and made an envelope
- 1:52:50Speaker 6: and then set it on a cookie sheet. But I can't.
- 1:52:53Speaker 6: There's one brand I can get at Amazon, I don't
- 1:52:59Speaker 6: remember it right now, and it's all natural. And then
- 1:53:04Speaker 6: there's one natural grocer's department paper that that I get there,
- 1:53:08Speaker 6: but I don't use the white stuff that's bleached. And
- 1:53:12Speaker 6: I guess I've never really explained that.
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: Yeah, well I looked it up one time and they
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: they talked about it being a little bit of a chemical,
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: uh process to make it all right.
- 1:53:27Speaker 6: If you get the cheap cheap brand, the store brand.
- 1:53:31Speaker 5: What do you trying? Are you calling me cheap?
- 1:53:35Speaker 6: No?
- 1:53:36Speaker 5: I think she I think she called me cheap Bill.
- 1:53:39Speaker 8: Well, she had to think a more before she answered.
- 1:53:44Speaker 6: There was a hesitation.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: Oh funny, Anyway, what was the name of those pans
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: that you told Bill about.
- 1:53:54Speaker 5: You examed me. Now I have to get something that
- 1:53:57Speaker 5: doesn't look I mean minor.
- 1:54:02Speaker 6: Yeah, that's it happens. And you know I even use
- 1:54:08Speaker 6: the stainless steel scrubbies. And there's a cleaner called pink
- 1:54:17Speaker 6: I don't remember. You can get maybe grocery stores. I
- 1:54:20Speaker 6: know you can get it, Lows and Home depot, but
- 1:54:23Speaker 6: there's nothing like this stuff described the bottom of your pans. Yeah,
- 1:54:29Speaker 6: I'm I'm that. I'm that anal. I want my my
- 1:54:32Speaker 6: pans to be clean. Well, for one thing, that's all
- 1:54:36Speaker 6: of my stainless and all of my cast iron is
- 1:54:40Speaker 6: just displayed on the back of a like a bookcase.
- 1:54:45Speaker 6: It's not a bookcase anymore. It's now a pantry case.
- 1:54:48Speaker 6: But I don't I don't want the junk on there.
- 1:54:52Speaker 6: It's pink something or other. But the pan is US
- 1:54:56Speaker 6: a pan.
- 1:54:58Speaker 5: That's a USA pan, and I remember.
- 1:55:00Speaker 6: Now, and mine is probably I don't know, eight to
- 1:55:05Speaker 6: ten years old and it still looks brand new. Now
- 1:55:09Speaker 6: I've got the extra big one because when I make
- 1:55:14Speaker 6: sugar cookies at Christmas, I almost fill up my dining
- 1:55:18Speaker 6: room table, which is big, pretty big from one end
- 1:55:24Speaker 6: to the other with sugar sugar cookies, and then when
- 1:55:27Speaker 6: I'm decorating them, and then they almost all of them
- 1:55:30Speaker 6: get given away.
- 1:55:32Speaker 7: I needed a very large pan.
- 1:55:34Speaker 6: But when I was looking them up for Bill, I
- 1:55:38Speaker 6: saw that you could get the standard size, which I
- 1:55:42Speaker 6: think is thirteen and a half by nine maybe, Yeah,
- 1:55:51Speaker 6: that's the standard cookie sheet mine.
- 1:55:55Speaker 7: Mine's pretty big.
- 1:55:56Speaker 6: And I don't not that anyone should do that, but
- 1:56:00Speaker 6: you could put your oven on its highest setting and
- 1:56:04Speaker 6: forget that you had that pan.
- 1:56:07Speaker 7: In the oven and it would not warp. It's just
- 1:56:11Speaker 7: it's just that that heavy duty.
- 1:56:14Speaker 5: I'm looking at three of them.
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: On Amazon right now, and it's as a USA pan
- 1:56:23Speaker 2: and it has seventeen by twelve twelve point five by nine,
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: and another seventeen by twenty five or seventeen point two five.
- 1:56:35Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that's that's good size. And then they've got
- 1:56:39Speaker 6: life what they call a jelly roll pan and all
- 1:56:42Speaker 6: that doesn't means it's a little bit higher of a side.
- 1:56:47Speaker 6: But yeah, that unless there's another pan I don't know
- 1:56:52Speaker 6: anything about, that's the best one I've ever found out.
- 1:56:55Speaker 5: I like that, but I'm going to send you my
- 1:56:57Speaker 5: old ones and see if you can clean them up.
- 1:57:00Speaker 6: Yeah, you do that.
- 1:57:02Speaker 7: I'll take them the grinder and the blow torch too.
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I was afraid of that. I forgot to tell
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: you guys last week during the show. I have this
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: little slide out drawer on a like a hutch behind me,
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: and I decided to put my tea on there instead
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: of what I normally put it because I knew I
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: wouldn't bump into it. And I turned around and when
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: I turned back, I didn't see my tea no more,
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: and I thought, what the hell?
- 1:57:44Speaker 8: Oh no?
- 1:57:45Speaker 5: And I looked down and tea was everywhere. Oh man,
- 1:57:51Speaker 5: And I couldn't cry on air, And so I grabbed
- 1:57:56Speaker 5: a bunch of paper towels, cleaned it up, then grab
- 1:58:00Speaker 5: a couple of paper towels with alcohol on it and
- 1:58:03Speaker 5: wipe the floor up.
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: And never missed the heartbeat on the show except the tears.
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: Oh my, here's something on that Amazon subsist. It says
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: they have something that are like new. I can't even
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: believe they'd have them on there.
- 1:58:26Speaker 6: Why would you be selling like someone did one dozen
- 1:58:32Speaker 6: chocolate chip cookies and decide they didn't like it and
- 1:58:35Speaker 6: send it back. No, these these pans, there's something else.
- 1:58:42Speaker 6: I love it. You know, I've got I've got some cheapies,
- 1:58:46Speaker 6: you know, I wish mine was a cheapy. But I
- 1:58:48Speaker 6: was telling Bill that there's this store in Fredericksburg called
- 1:58:52Speaker 6: Cook and Loten, and oh my gosh, it's I told
- 1:58:57Speaker 6: I think I told him it's my kryptonite. And I
- 1:58:59Speaker 6: go in there and I just cave at the knees,
- 1:59:02Speaker 6: you know, and it never fails. I walk up to
- 1:59:05Speaker 6: something and I look at it and it's like seven
- 1:59:09Speaker 6: hundred and ninety five dollars, So I'm like, really, Or
- 1:59:12Speaker 6: I walk up and I've looked at the knives and
- 1:59:15Speaker 6: gone over there and like one knife is like three
- 1:59:18Speaker 6: hundred and fifty, another one's like six hundred. They're Japanese.
- 1:59:23Speaker 6: But no, my pan came from there. Actually, I think
- 1:59:27Speaker 6: they had a representative from the company there and they
- 1:59:32Speaker 6: were making a you know a big deal. Look at
- 1:59:35Speaker 6: these wonderful pans. And I fell for it hook line
- 1:59:38Speaker 6: and sinker, And even today, there's not a scratch on it.
- 1:59:42Speaker 6: And I can't even tell you how many times I've
- 1:59:44Speaker 6: used it. And it's just heavy duty. It's fabulous and
- 1:59:49Speaker 6: nothing sticks. I just love it.
- 1:59:54Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 1:59:55Speaker 2: I've got a set of lamps and sh are that
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: came from Shelbourne Falls, Massachusetts, I think, but I really
- 2:00:10Speaker 2: like them. I know, you've got that really cool set.
- 2:00:15Speaker 2: What's the name of your brand.
- 2:00:18Speaker 7: Mine?
- 2:00:20Speaker 5: Yeah, you've got a I've got the Cuttoe Yeah, Cutcoa.
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: They're very good, except for I have a pair of
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: scissors from them, and when you put it together, it
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: never seats right.
- 2:00:31Speaker 5: I don't know if it was machine wrong. No matter
- 2:00:34Speaker 5: what I do, it falls apart.
- 2:00:38Speaker 6: I don't have their scissors. I mean I've got well,
- 2:00:42Speaker 6: I absolutely I think my favorite is an actual But
- 2:00:48Speaker 6: but your knife. I've got a cleaver I've got which
- 2:00:53Speaker 6: is wedge straight, and then I've got another. I don't
- 2:00:56Speaker 6: think it's called the cleaver chopper.
- 2:00:58Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 2:00:59Speaker 6: That's kind of wedge shape. The cleaver is straight. But
- 2:01:02Speaker 6: I think my favorite is a little tiny paring knife.
- 2:01:08Speaker 2: What the hell is I've got two of those two
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: pairing knives? What the hell is paring.
- 2:01:14Speaker 7: Peeling?
- 2:01:16Speaker 5: But it says pairing B A R I N G.
- 2:01:20Speaker 6: But it's like for peeling potatoes or peeling a carrot.
- 2:01:24Speaker 5: I probably knew that.
- 2:01:26Speaker 6: Probably So the last thing we got was an ice
- 2:01:30Speaker 6: cream scoop. We had some friends come over. She was
- 2:01:34Speaker 6: trying to get into it, you know, being a a
- 2:01:39Speaker 6: cutcoat rep, and I ended up. The last two things
- 2:01:43Speaker 6: I got was the butcher knife from her and a
- 2:01:48Speaker 6: ice cream scoop.
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: Well, I think cutco and lambson to me or the
- 2:01:53Speaker 2: probably the finest made anywhere, and they're still made here,
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: so that's nice it and cut Co out of.
- 2:01:58Speaker 6: Chicago, I'm not sure. I do know that if anything happens,
- 2:02:05Speaker 6: you can send it to them. They'll replace it or
- 2:02:10Speaker 6: even sharpen it if you wanted.
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I need to do that with the scissors because
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: you can pull them out of the thing and they'll drop,
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: and I'm afraid I'm gonna have it stab me. I've
- 2:02:20Speaker 2: only got two things from them, and the scissors really
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: suck that.
- 2:02:24Speaker 6: They would probably replace it. Just stick a little letter
- 2:02:28Speaker 6: in it and tell them what happens to you and
- 2:02:30Speaker 6: they'll probably take care of it real quick.
- 2:02:33Speaker 5: All right, Bill, what kind of knife have you got?
- 2:02:37Speaker 6: Oh?
- 2:02:38Speaker 8: You know, I was looking at it after talk to
- 2:02:42Speaker 8: Forrest funded back and forth with Susan about this, and
- 2:02:44Speaker 8: I there. I bought them when I first moved to Minnesota,
- 2:02:50Speaker 8: and I think even which was in nineteen eighty. I
- 2:02:56Speaker 8: think the cheapest one that I got then was about
- 2:02:59Speaker 8: eighty bucks. So it was a little peering knife. Yeah,
- 2:03:01Speaker 8: it was my favorite knife. But I couldn't afford them.
- 2:03:04Speaker 5: No, but they sound really nice. What brand do you know?
- 2:03:09Speaker 8: No, I couldn't. I couldn't remember. I remember.
- 2:03:14Speaker 5: Interesting, All right, guys, Well we're at that time of
- 2:03:16Speaker 5: the night.
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: In fact, we went a couple of minutes passed where
- 2:03:20Speaker 2: I thought I was going to go, Susie, any last.
- 2:03:23Speaker 8: Thing, No, I.
- 2:03:29Speaker 7: Nothing.
- 2:03:30Speaker 6: It's a fabulous show. What did we not talk about?
- 2:03:34Speaker 6: It was terrific?
- 2:03:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought so too. Thank you so much for
- 2:03:39Speaker 5: updating people.
- 2:03:40Speaker 2: And I knew how busy you guys were, because I
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: had not heard from you in a while since all
- 2:03:48Speaker 2: this happened, except briefly, and usually you know, i'll hear something,
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: and I knew you guys were swamped. And I'm just
- 2:03:58Speaker 2: glad to know there's wonderful people like your husband and
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: son and you out there trying to help those people
- 2:04:04Speaker 2: where you live, even though it didn't hit your neighborhood.
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: Thank god, So thank you so much for telling everybody
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: about it and where they can go to help.
- 2:04:14Speaker 5: Out and we appreciate that. Bill. Anything you want to
- 2:04:18Speaker 5: close with, Nope, nope, good to go look up your.
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: Knives and tell Susie and us me your knife stuff
- 2:04:26Speaker 2: into our audience.
- 2:04:27Speaker 5: That'd be kind of cool.
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, Lampson is mine. I think it
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: says Lampson Sharp. And I bought him a long time ago.
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: I went to one of those I don't know what
- 2:04:41Speaker 2: they call it.
- 2:04:42Speaker 5: They used to have them down at the Dome, and
- 2:04:45Speaker 5: you go to those like that, cooking shows and all that,
- 2:04:47Speaker 5: and I bought it from something like that. So all right, guys,
- 2:04:51Speaker 5: well thank you so much. Yes, it is a great show,
- 2:04:54Speaker 5: a lot of fun.
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: And I can't think of anything we didn't talk about,
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: So thank you, Bill. Great stuff with your weekly topics,
- 2:05:03Speaker 2: use these recipes.
- 2:05:05Speaker 5: And shaming me that I'm gonna have to buy new
- 2:05:07Speaker 5: pans now. I can't even go in there and look
- 2:05:12Speaker 5: at them.
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: Them other pants are in such bad shape you probably
- 2:05:17Speaker 2: need a grinder and a blowtorch.
- 2:05:20Speaker 6: You'll never have to buy them again. After the USA pans, yeah, they.
- 2:05:24Speaker 5: Said something different. It was a luminized steel, some special
- 2:05:29Speaker 5: thing they do so and they said it's a non
- 2:05:32Speaker 5: stick on top of that, so it's.
- 2:05:35Speaker 7: Not Yeah, it's not a nonstick coating.
- 2:05:38Speaker 6: It's a very subtle ridge like granite.
- 2:05:43Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I like that. Yeah, I don't like the coating.
- 2:05:47Speaker 5: I like, like, I have a pan right now that
- 2:05:50Speaker 5: is non stick and it's got this like granite surface
- 2:05:54Speaker 5: feel to it. It's wonderful.
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: All right, guys, Well it is that time I heard
- 2:05:59Speaker 2: the cuckoo cle talking back to me. So thank you
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: both very much. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you.
- 2:06:07Speaker 5: We're still waiting on them to get to Susie with
- 2:06:11Speaker 5: her fiber optic, but after this disaster it might take
- 2:06:14Speaker 5: a little longer.
- 2:06:15Speaker 6: Oh oh, I do have an update, gotten update. So
- 2:06:20Speaker 6: they're supposed to be they were supposed to be here
- 2:06:22Speaker 6: today or tomorrow. Since they weren't here today, maybe tomorrow
- 2:06:27Speaker 6: at least.
- 2:06:28Speaker 5: Fabulous. Yeah, that'd be fabulous because Susie has this software
- 2:06:34Speaker 5: in a little box and this OBS software, and it
- 2:06:38Speaker 5: connects Rumble with OBS and allows us to use Zoom
- 2:06:44Speaker 5: because Zoom and Rumble don't play together very well.
- 2:06:47Speaker 2: You have to have somebody in between, and that's the OBS.
- 2:06:50Speaker 2: So once she gets all this, she's become a really
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: good producer. But we don't want to give her a
- 2:06:55Speaker 2: big head because she can't wear her hat, and she'll
- 2:06:59Speaker 2: have us back live on Rumble before long. In the meantime,
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: I accidentally figured out how to upload the show to Rumble.
- 2:07:09Speaker 2: I don't know how I did it, but I did it,
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: and that's more Susie's area.
- 2:07:14Speaker 5: But I stumbled into it. So we will post the
- 2:07:18Speaker 5: show there, and we still let it go out to
- 2:07:21Speaker 5: a whole bunch of other places. So thank you Bill
- 2:07:24Speaker 5: and Susie so much.
- 2:07:26Speaker 2: Thank Honley for joining us a little bit, and thank
- 2:07:30Speaker 2: him so much for all the work you guys are
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: doing to help those people.
- 2:07:34Speaker 5: And if there's anything any of us can do, Susie,
- 2:07:36Speaker 5: please let us know.
- 2:07:39Speaker 2: May God bless you all with health and happiness, keep
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: your lives peaceful, free and safe. And as you know,
- 2:07:51Speaker 2: it is that time for good scotch, good cigars, and good.
- 2:07:57Speaker 8: Night at all.
- 2:08:01Speaker 7: You're not anyone, God bless.
- 2:08:05Speaker 12: Seems the love I've known has always been the most
- 2:08:08Speaker 12: destructive kind. Guess that's why now I feel so old.
- 2:08:15Speaker 8: Before my time.
- 2:08:19Speaker 12: Yesterday, when I was young, the taste of life was
- 2:08:26Speaker 12: sweet as rain.
- 2:08:28Speaker 5: Upon my tongue.
- 2:08:30Speaker 12: I teased at length, as if it were a foolish game,
- 2:08:35Speaker 12: the way the evening breeze may tease a candle flame.
- 2:08:41Speaker 12: The thousand dreams I dreamed, the splendid things I planned.
- 2:08:46Speaker 12: I always built to last on weekend.
- 2:08:49Speaker 8: Shifting sand.
- 2:08:52Speaker 12: I lived by night and shun.
- 2:08:54Speaker 9: The naked light of day.
- 2:08:57Speaker 5: And only now I see how the US.
- 2:09:01Speaker 3: Ran away yesterday when I was young.
- 2:09:07Speaker 12: So many happy songs we're ready to be sung, so
- 2:09:13Speaker 12: many wild pleasures laying start farming.
- 2:09:18Speaker 5: And so much pain. A dozen eyes refused to see.
- 2:09:23Speaker 5: I ran so fast that time, and you
