Operation Argus Hits Hard in Lamesa | Odessa News
Lamesa and Dawson County just pulled off their third annual “Operation Argus,” a massive two-night crackdown that netted 35 suspects, over 700 grams of meth, marijuana, THC products, and a handgun—all while conducting nearly 200 traffic stops and 60 vehicle/person searches. With local, state, and federal agencies—including the FBI and Homeland Security—working in sync, this multi-agency effort sent a powerful message: drug and gun crime won’t be tolerated, and coordinated action makes a real difference on the ground.
