Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Welcome back to Kind of Famous. It's Deanna and producer
- 0:07Speaker 2: Heather here. And today we get to talk to Emily,
- 0:11Speaker 2: who is officially reality TV veteran. We love her and
- 0:16Speaker 2: we got obsessed with her on Let's Marry Harry.
- 0:19Speaker 3: This is fun for me because I put her on
- 0:22Speaker 3: a television show a handful of years ago. She was
- 0:26Speaker 3: fantastic on that show, if memory serves right. She won
- 0:30Speaker 3: the show. So we'll talk to her about that. And
- 0:34Speaker 3: I've kept in touch with her over the years because
- 0:37Speaker 3: of different opportunities. You know, this is what us casting
- 0:40Speaker 3: people do. If you seem like you have fun on
- 0:42Speaker 3: a show or, you know, you never know who they
- 0:44Speaker 3: know or who they're related to, who might want to
- 0:47Speaker 3: do with the experience.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So we've touched base.
- 0:49Speaker 3: But I was very surprised when I saw her post
- 0:54Speaker 3: the picture that she was a cast member for this show.
- 0:56Speaker 3: And if you remember, I didn't spoil it in the
- 0:59Speaker 3: first two episodes that you watched because I didn't want
- 1:01Speaker 3: you to know her story and why it was so
- 1:03Speaker 3: surprising to me that she would be on a show
- 1:06Speaker 3: like Let's Marry Harry. But I'm excited to reconnect with
- 1:11Speaker 3: her and kind of hear about what her experience was
- 1:14Speaker 3: like on this show because It's very different than the
- 1:18Speaker 3: other show she was on.
- 1:19Speaker 2: This is like your baby, Heather. This is like your baby.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's always fun for me. Hello.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Hi.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. So good to see you. So good
- 1:27Speaker 1: to see you, too.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Emily, this is Deanna. And we're so excited to chat
- 1:33Speaker 3: with you. Obviously, you and I go back a handful
- 1:38Speaker 3: of years. So just to tell everybody, you were on
- 1:43Speaker 3: the Real Love.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Boat a few years ago.
- 1:46Speaker 4: So.
- 1:47Speaker 3: what was your experience like going on reality TV the
- 1:50Speaker 3: first time and how did it differ from the second time,
- 1:54Speaker 3: would you say?
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yeah, going on the Real Love Boat the first time
- 1:58Speaker 4: was my first experience with reality TV and I had
- 2:01Speaker 4: a great experience. I think it was a lot different
- 2:04Speaker 4: than my most recent experience. So the first one was
- 2:09Speaker 4: more of like a challenge slash dating show. As you know, Heather,
- 2:13Speaker 4: like It was fun. We got to travel. It was
- 2:17Speaker 4: more lighthearted. It was just like, it was amazing, honestly,
- 2:22Speaker 4: for a first time experience on TV. So I guess
- 2:26Speaker 4: I was maybe a little bit naive going into this
- 2:28Speaker 4: one because I was kind of expecting a similar maybe
- 2:33Speaker 4: experience and it was quite like polar opposite. I think
- 2:38Speaker 4: the dynamic shifts a lot when there's just like one
- 2:40Speaker 4: lead versus... The first show I was on where it
- 2:45Speaker 4: was like a mix of guys and girls where you
- 2:47Speaker 4: could kind of really explore and find like your personality
- 2:51Speaker 4: and who you're a good fit with. And there's a
- 2:54Speaker 4: ton more tension, obviously, when there's 20 women competing for
- 2:57Speaker 4: one guy.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And living in a house together. On the other show,
- 3:01Speaker 3: you got to go back to your own room and
- 3:02Speaker 3: stuff at the end of the day.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Yeah, we were definitely not on camera 24-7 like we
- 3:09Speaker 4: were on Let's Marry Harry. So that was definitely an
- 3:12Speaker 4: adjustment because I felt like for my mental health, like
- 3:15Speaker 4: being able to step away from the cameras for a
- 3:17Speaker 4: little bit kind of helped keep my sanity. And in
- 3:22Speaker 4: this one, it was definitely a lot more intense stuff.
- 3:27Speaker 3: What was your knowledge of Harry Jousey before going on
- 3:31Speaker 3: the show? Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 1: So honestly, I didn't know a ton about him. All
- 3:36Speaker 1: I really knew were like the negative headlines.
- 3:40Speaker 4: And it's a funny story because I almost didn't go
- 3:43Speaker 4: on the show because of that. I was reached out
- 3:45Speaker 4: to multiple times about it. I kept ignoring it.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I was like, I don't want to be associated with
- 3:51Speaker 1: With that, you know what I mean?
- 3:53Speaker 4: And so I.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Ended up opening my mouth to my mom and I
- 3:56Speaker 1: said something.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I was like, there's a bunch of casting producers reaching
- 3:59Speaker 4: out to me about this Let's Marry Harry show.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Like, do you have any idea like who Harry Jowsey is?
- 4:05Speaker 1: She ended up knowing 10 times more about him than me,
- 4:07Speaker 1: which was hilarious.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Thanks, Mom.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I said this in the show. I was like, if
- 4:11Speaker 1: this wasn't for my mom, I would not be here
- 4:13Speaker 1: right now. And now she apologizes for it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And she's like, sorry, I.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Didn't mean to steer you in the wrong direction. But no, really,
- 4:20Speaker 4: I think we both were kind of... fell into his
- 4:24Speaker 4: trap of she's like, I watch these podcasts of him
- 4:27Speaker 4: and he's really trying to, you know, turn his life
- 4:31Speaker 4: around and really get serious.
- 4:33Speaker 1: And learn from his mistakes.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And O'Harey did a really good job of making, I think,
- 4:38Speaker 4: the public and us women believe that or we wouldn't have.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Signed up for it.
- 4:42Speaker 4: And so after getting my mom's blessing and everything, I
- 4:46Speaker 4: was like, okay, I guess I'll interview and everything. And
- 4:50Speaker 4: then throughout the interviews, we talked a little bit about
- 4:52Speaker 4: Harry and his reputation and everything like that.
- 4:55Speaker 1: And I believe that people can change.
- 4:58Speaker 4: And so ultimately, that's why I decided to sign.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Up for it despite his controversial reputation.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Had you told the other girls in the house that
- 5:07Speaker 2: you had been on television before that you'd done reality TV?
- 5:10Speaker 1: No, I don't think that really ever got brought up.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Do you think that it gave you a little bit
- 5:15Speaker 3: of a upper hand going into this kind of environment?
- 5:19Speaker 3: I mean, you weren't the only one, by the way,
- 5:21Speaker 3: who'd been on TV before. We know that your cast member, Lauren,
- 5:26Speaker 3: had also been briefly on The Bachelor.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Did, would you guys connect about that at all?
- 5:31Speaker 3: Like between you two or did literally nobody in the
- 5:34Speaker 3: house know anything about you guys in your background?
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess I never really brought it up. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: never really felt there to be a reason to, and
- 5:41Speaker 1: I didn't want people.
- 5:42Speaker 4: To view that as like, oh, she's just trying to
- 5:45Speaker 4: get on TV because that really isn't.
- 5:47Speaker 1: What it is.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Like I'm trying to find my person.
- 5:51Speaker 1: No one held it against Harry.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Had anyone ever asked, like, of course, I would be
- 5:56Speaker 4: honest about that. I just never really thought it was
- 5:58Speaker 4: appropriate to bring up or part of the story.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Well, part of your story is about the fact that
- 6:06Speaker 3: you have maintained your virginity as a personal choice. And
- 6:10Speaker 3: so dating somebody who is kind of known for maybe
- 6:14Speaker 3: not having the longest relationships in the public eye, Did
- 6:19Speaker 3: you feel nervous about broaching that topic with Harry? Did
- 6:23Speaker 3: you think about how he was going to receive that information?
- 6:28Speaker 3: Did you think he would be receptive to that? Like,
- 6:30Speaker 3: what kind of were your thoughts? And did you have
- 6:34Speaker 3: a conversation, like a deep conversation with him about that?
- 6:36Speaker 3: Because we didn't really see that happen on camera.
- 6:40Speaker 4: No, actually, Harry and I never had a conversation about
- 6:42Speaker 4: my virginity. It was never an opportunity that we really got.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I think their way of kind of maybe raising eyebrows
- 6:50Speaker 4: was through that one challenge I was a part of
- 6:52Speaker 4: when they were asking about like sex positions. Obviously, I
- 6:56Speaker 4: was kind of put on the spot about that. And
- 6:59Speaker 4: I was just truthful and honest, like I am who
- 7:01Speaker 4: I am and Harry.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Is who he is.
- 7:03Speaker 4: But I think The thing that I kept telling myself
- 7:07Speaker 4: going into this is like, I'm so much more than
- 7:09Speaker 4: a virgin and he's so much more than like a boy.
- 7:13Speaker 4: And so I had hoped that with who he said
- 7:18Speaker 4: he was changing into, that he was kind of putting
- 7:21Speaker 4: those tendencies aside and that he would honor my virginity really,
- 7:26Speaker 4: because ultimately I'm not only doing it for myself, I'm
- 7:29Speaker 4: doing it for like my future.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Husband as well.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And so.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I don't know if I was nervous about it.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I was more so just curious about how he was
- 7:39Speaker 4: going to take it.
- 7:40Speaker 3: And of course, you are more than that. I think
- 7:44Speaker 3: for me personally, as a viewer, knowing that aspect about you,
- 7:48Speaker 3: I was a little upset that I didn't get to
- 7:51Speaker 3: see more of your character development because I thought that
- 7:57Speaker 3: that juxtaposition of you guys kind of being different could
- 8:01Speaker 3: have been a cool way for you to connect and
- 8:04Speaker 3: for him to also be looking at somebody or connecting
- 8:08Speaker 3: with somebody in maybe a less physical way. So I
- 8:12Speaker 3: was upset as a viewer that there were certain, and
- 8:15Speaker 3: I said this by the time we were in episode
- 8:17Speaker 3: four or five, I felt like I was learning really
- 8:20Speaker 3: serious things about some girls, especially when the challenge of
- 8:24Speaker 3: like writing things down on the tile and dropping them
- 8:27Speaker 3: where I was like, why am I hearing this in
- 8:29Speaker 3: episode four when I could have been hearing this in
- 8:31Speaker 3: episode two, because I didn't really know who we were
- 8:34Speaker 3: rooting for. I didn't know who was going to be
- 8:37Speaker 3: the final two. When you saw who ended up being
- 8:39Speaker 3: the final two being Danelle and Amber, were you surprised
- 8:43Speaker 3: or those two girls that you thought were the front
- 8:45Speaker 3: runners when you were during your time in the house?
- 8:48Speaker 4: Honestly, I don't think I tried to get too invested
- 8:51Speaker 4: in other people's relationships.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I was kind of just trying to focus on my own.
- 8:56Speaker 4: I will say that I think one of the hesitations
- 9:00Speaker 4: I had going into it ended up being true, that
- 9:04Speaker 4: Harry was a little bit more lustful than he was
- 9:07Speaker 4: maybe really looking for true love.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And I think no disrespect on the girls.
- 9:12Speaker 4: I think all the women are amazing and to each
- 9:14Speaker 4: their own. But I think it is a little telling that,
- 9:17Speaker 4: you know, the the top two were the ones that
- 9:19Speaker 4: he was intimate with pretty early on.
- 9:22Speaker 1: And I think that says more about Harry than anything.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 9:26Speaker 3: It is an interesting point. Now we know that Danelle
- 9:29Speaker 3: in the scenes that we saw of them in the closet,
- 9:31Speaker 3: they've both confirmed that they actually were not intimate in
- 9:34Speaker 3: that scene. And they really, I don't think explored their
- 9:36Speaker 3: intimacy until their overnight. That's kind of what, is been
- 9:41Speaker 3: put out there, but we do know that he got
- 9:43Speaker 3: with Abby and supposedly maybe somebody else that hasn't really
- 9:47Speaker 3: come forward or owned up to that. We were surprised
- 9:50Speaker 3: just now to find out that Harry actually was living
- 9:53Speaker 3: in the house with you guys. I for sure thought
- 9:57Speaker 3: that was a production trick and that he was like
- 9:59Speaker 3: going back to a hotel at the end of the
- 10:01Speaker 3: night no.
- 10:02Speaker 4: He actually was and it's so funny like his upstairs
- 10:05Speaker 4: was like the Taj Mahal compared to like what we
- 10:08Speaker 4: were living in like we had these small little rooms
- 10:11Speaker 4: with four girls living in it, one tiny bathroom, and
- 10:15Speaker 4: we have all our luggage in.
- 10:16Speaker 1: There on top of it. So yeah, he had a
- 10:19Speaker 1: good setup compared to us.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Wow. Let's talk about the reunion because there was a
- 10:27Speaker 3: lot happening there. What would you say your biggest takeaways
- 10:31Speaker 3: were from that day, either from being present and what
- 10:35Speaker 3: you saw versus what you saw when it aired back?
- 10:38Speaker 3: What would you say your biggest takeaway was from the reunion?
- 10:42Speaker 4: I think that I was just really disappointed in Harry,
- 10:44Speaker 4: to be honest. I feel like the way he.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Handled it was just disappointing.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I think, you know, 20 women put their life on
- 10:52Speaker 4: the line and they tried to take him seriously.
- 10:54Speaker 1: And it just didn't.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Really feel like at that reunion, he felt super genuine
- 10:58Speaker 4: or serious. And it kind of made me question if
- 11:01Speaker 4: the whole thing was like a joke.
- 11:13Speaker 2: You know, this feels like a running theme, Heather. Emily,
- 11:17Speaker 2: we've gotten the opportunity to talk to several girls, and
- 11:20Speaker 2: this feels like the running theme because as a viewer,
- 11:23Speaker 2: we kind of were not shown any of that. Like,
- 11:26Speaker 2: Harry looked to be on his best behavior for the
- 11:28Speaker 2: most part. We got one little snippet where you see
- 11:31Speaker 2: him turn and look at a girl and say, I
- 11:32Speaker 2: don't even know who you are. Stop talking. But it
- 11:35Speaker 2: feels like there was so much more that happened that
- 11:38Speaker 2: we didn't get to see.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's interesting.
- 11:41Speaker 4: That's reality TV, I guess. So much is cut and
- 11:43Speaker 4: they can't put it all. But I would say from
- 11:47Speaker 4: being there in person, it was just jaw dropping all around.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I honestly, too, going into that, didn't realize all the
- 11:54Speaker 4: things that had happened post show either.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And so I think I.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Was just like probably just as shocked as a viewer was,
- 12:04Speaker 4: to be honest.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It was just terrible, to be honest, to hear everything
- 12:09Speaker 1: that went down.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Well, throughout all of filming, we saw Harry being extremely emotional.
- 12:16Speaker 3: He was really in the thick of his grief process,
- 12:21Speaker 3: having emotional connections and conversations with girls, also being emotional
- 12:25Speaker 3: on his own. We've heard a lot about that he
- 12:28Speaker 3: was one way for the cameras and another. Would you
- 12:32Speaker 3: say that that was also part of it? Do you
- 12:35Speaker 3: think that had he shown an emotional side at the reunion...
- 12:39Speaker 3: and let those walls down that it would have been
- 12:41Speaker 3: a different experience. What did you think about that?
- 12:44Speaker 1: You mean like if he would have shown more emotion
- 12:46Speaker 1: at the reunion? Yeah.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And did you think that the emotion he showed on
- 12:51Speaker 3: the show was genuine?
- 12:54Speaker 1: I wasn't there long enough to really say, to be honest.
- 12:56Speaker 4: I mean, obviously I fell into the trap. I thought
- 12:58Speaker 4: while I was there, he seemed serious about things. I
- 13:01Speaker 4: didn't know a lot of the things that were happening
- 13:03Speaker 4: behind the scenes. And I will say at the reunion,
- 13:07Speaker 4: at the reunion, it felt like he was just kind
- 13:08Speaker 4: of checked out of it all. Like he just was
- 13:10Speaker 4: like ready to just wipe his hands clean and.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Just be done with it.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Where I think a lot of us women felt differently.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Like we all kind of wanted a little bit of
- 13:19Speaker 1: like closure and understanding and whatever. And he didn't really
- 13:24Speaker 1: seem to care as much as the women did. And,
- 13:27Speaker 1: you know, it was interesting, too.
- 13:28Speaker 4: I know he made a lot of comments on social
- 13:30Speaker 4: media about how, like, oh, if you're not a top five,
- 13:33Speaker 4: I don't know who you are.
- 13:34Speaker 1: You don't really matter.
- 13:35Speaker 4: And for Harry, Harry had 20 women. For us women,
- 13:39Speaker 4: we had one man. So for him, we may not
- 13:43Speaker 4: have meant anything. But for us, he did.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So I think he had a hard time maybe... comprehending
- 13:50Speaker 1: that or was.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Maybe a little selfish in that aspect where he was
- 13:54Speaker 4: just worried about himself and maybe not other people's feelings.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Or maybe he was checked out because he's already in
- 14:00Speaker 3: another relationship.
- 14:02Speaker 1: This is true, Heather. This is true.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I love how Heather doesn't cut the stuff. Heather is
- 14:08Speaker 2: not messing around. She is not beating around the bush.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I'm like, well, maybe they were going through a difficult time.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Heather's like, absolutely not.
- 14:14Speaker 1: He had another girlfriend.
- 14:14Speaker 2: He doesn't care.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Imagine you've got a new girlfriend, however long that they've
- 14:19Speaker 3: been together. The last thing you want to do is
- 14:21Speaker 3: go home and justify why you were emotional or opening
- 14:25Speaker 3: up to a girl that you're not dating when the
- 14:28Speaker 3: girl you are dating is back at home.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 14:31Speaker 3: I just think men tend to compartmentalize like that in
- 14:34Speaker 3: a lot of ways. And so it doesn't mean it's
- 14:36Speaker 3: right how he approached it. And I do think, you know,
- 14:40Speaker 3: as viewers, we all... I'll speak for myself. I felt
- 14:45Speaker 3: like I was missing a lot of that closure, a
- 14:47Speaker 3: lot of those kinds of one-on-one conversations that you tend
- 14:50Speaker 3: to get from a reunion. Not saying that Amber is
- 14:54Speaker 3: not justified in having her time and getting out there
- 14:56Speaker 3: and getting to speak her piece and her mind, but
- 14:59Speaker 3: I would have loved to see more of you ladies
- 15:02Speaker 3: get that same opportunity.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Totally.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Me too.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Something that I'm so hung up on, and Heather and
- 15:08Speaker 2: I have discussed this a thousand times, I was pretty
- 15:11Speaker 2: shocked by Juliana deciding not to come. I don't know
- 15:15Speaker 2: if you guys were close in the house or if
- 15:16Speaker 2: you were also surprised by her not coming to the reunion.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I guess I just really needed to see what happened.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yeah, to be honest, I was a little surprised as well.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Like I said, I never really got caught up in
- 15:29Speaker 4: any of the drama or the other things going on
- 15:31Speaker 4: in the house.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Obviously, I was there, so I saw a little bit
- 15:34Speaker 1: of it.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Um, but to each their own, like if she needed
- 15:39Speaker 4: to find peace by not going, I can respect that.
- 15:42Speaker 4: I think I personally, if I was in her shoes,
- 15:44Speaker 4: would have wanted to be there to kind of defend
- 15:46Speaker 4: myself because obviously there were a lot.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Of people speaking of her.
- 15:51Speaker 4: But again, I think all that drama kind of got
- 15:54Speaker 4: blown out of proportion as like an outsider watching it all.
- 15:58Speaker 3: So you never felt unsafe living in the house with her?
- 16:01Speaker 1: No, I never felt unsafe. I didn't know what that
- 16:04Speaker 1: was all about. I was like, I don't know if.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I was just living under a rock in the house
- 16:07Speaker 4: or if that was after I left or what.
- 16:09Speaker 1: But there was a lot at that reunion where I
- 16:11Speaker 1: was just like, wait, that happened?
- 16:15Speaker 2: I think I feel a way that she didn't come
- 16:17Speaker 2: because now she's taking to social media and she is
- 16:20Speaker 2: doing press and podcasts. I think that's why I feel
- 16:23Speaker 2: a way about it. Why not come, face Harry, sit
- 16:27Speaker 2: with the other women, you know what I mean, and
- 16:29Speaker 2: have a place? Instead of avoiding it and then doing
- 16:34Speaker 2: press and putting things out on social media afterwards. And
- 16:37Speaker 2: I think just as a viewer, that's just, I don't know.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I feel a weight about it.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I'd love to know from Emily because another thing that
- 16:44Speaker 3: Juliana has done is been extremely public about this relationship
- 16:48Speaker 3: that she's in post-show. I want to say that she
- 16:51Speaker 3: launched the guy as soon as.
- 16:53Speaker 1: The episodes were out.
- 16:54Speaker 3: There was no hiding that she was already with somebody.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I've just been.
- 17:00Speaker 3: in this for a really long time and I hear
- 17:03Speaker 3: this on probably every dating show that I've done where
- 17:07Speaker 3: somebody either is on there for not the right reasons
- 17:10Speaker 3: or somebody has a boyfriend back at home or a girlfriend,
- 17:14Speaker 3: whatever it may be. Not saying Juliana specifically, but to
- 17:19Speaker 3: your knowledge, the people that you met and were close
- 17:23Speaker 3: to in the house, was everybody there for the right reason?
- 17:26Speaker 3: Did anybody have or admit to having something on the side?
- 17:30Speaker 3: Or was that ever talked about amongst you girls after filming?
- 17:33Speaker 1: I was never part of that conversation.
- 17:37Speaker 4: If there was, I would be so interested for you
- 17:40Speaker 4: to tell me because I guess I just was maybe naive,
- 17:44Speaker 4: but hoped that everyone was there for the same reasons
- 17:46Speaker 4: as me. I mean, I have a hard time dating
- 17:50Speaker 4: in real life. Not that am I crazy to think
- 17:53Speaker 4: reality TV would be any better?
- 17:55Speaker 1: I don't know. But I don't know.
- 17:57Speaker 4: I think finding love is all about putting yourself out
- 18:00Speaker 4: of your comfort zone. And I guess going back to
- 18:03Speaker 4: your question, was I aware of anyone who had.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Relations going into the show?
- 18:09Speaker 4: No.
- 18:10Speaker 1: If they did, that would be disappointing as well.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Because I think for people like myself who went into
- 18:15Speaker 4: it with really, like, went into it really seriously, it
- 18:19Speaker 4: would be a little bit disrespectful to the other girls
- 18:22Speaker 4: who were serious about it.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Like me.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Totally. And to be clear, I don't know when Juliana
- 18:27Speaker 3: started dating this guy, she could have met him the
- 18:30Speaker 3: second she landed back wherever she lives. You know, I,
- 18:33Speaker 3: I do know that my saying all the time to
- 18:36Speaker 3: Deanna is hot.
- 18:37Speaker 1: People don't stay single for long.
- 18:39Speaker 3: You guys always tend to meet people very quickly. So
- 18:43Speaker 3: more power to her. And I hope that this relationship
- 18:45Speaker 3: is fulfilling for her. But I agree with Deanna that
- 18:49Speaker 3: I would have loved to see her show up at
- 18:50Speaker 3: the reunion and speak her truth. And, you know, when
- 18:54Speaker 3: somebody's talking about you slamming doors and feeling unsafe, I
- 18:57Speaker 3: would have loved to hear your own personal reaction to that. Yeah.
- 19:01Speaker 4: I didn't find out until I was there that she
- 19:04Speaker 4: wasn't going to be there. And I was just shocked nonetheless.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I am more so like, come on, Harry and his
- 19:09Speaker 2: little personal interviews when he was like, I don't love
- 19:12Speaker 2: this girl.
- 19:12Speaker 1: This is crazy.
- 19:13Speaker 2: But then the way he's confessing his love to her face.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I need more. I need more.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I would have loved to hear them both address that
- 19:19Speaker 3: situation because she seemed to say she was in love
- 19:24Speaker 3: with him. And then I saw on a podcast that
- 19:26Speaker 3: she said she was not. Two times reality TV under
- 19:42Speaker 3: your belt. Is this the last time or are we
- 19:45Speaker 3: going to see you possibly on TV again, say if
- 19:48Speaker 3: perfect match on Netflix? comes knocking on your door?
- 19:51Speaker 1: Oh gosh, I don't even know enough about that show
- 19:54Speaker 1: to answer that. But I would say obviously I.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Had one really good experience on reality TV and.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Then the other one, not so much.
- 20:02Speaker 4: So I think it would just all depend on the
- 20:04Speaker 4: opportunity and what would feel like a right fit.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I joke that I feel like me getting casted for
- 20:11Speaker 1: Let's Marry Harry, I was casted for the wrong show.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I don't know how I got casted for that.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Girl, color me surprised the day that I saw the announcement.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I was like, what?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Knowing you, knowing I did not seem like the show
- 20:25Speaker 3: that you would want to go on.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And I just, I think I was so bamboozled. Like
- 20:29Speaker 1: I think in the interview.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Process, they made me just believe that we were going
- 20:33Speaker 4: to be like this perfect fit and that he was
- 20:36Speaker 4: really changing. And then it was like on paper, we
- 20:38Speaker 4: seemed like we were, you know, everything was kind of
- 20:41Speaker 4: lining up.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And so I was like, oh, okay.
- 20:43Speaker 4: What I once was ignoring, I thought was this totally
- 20:46Speaker 4: not my fit.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I was like then convinced it was.
- 20:49Speaker 4: And then when I got there, I was just like,
- 20:52Speaker 4: really piecing it together. I was like, okay, maybe this
- 20:55Speaker 4: is it. And now, especially watching it back, I was like,
- 20:59Speaker 4: what was that?
- 21:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:01Speaker 4: But that opportunity came to me for a reason.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You met great girls, right?
- 21:05Speaker 4: Yeah. And like, I think you just have to put
- 21:07Speaker 4: yourself out of your comfort zone. And that's what this
- 21:09Speaker 4: was for me. I think I gained a lot of
- 21:11Speaker 4: confidence from it. I think I heard a really positive
- 21:14Speaker 4: response from viewers on my virginity. I think being able
- 21:19Speaker 4: to speak on that makes some people not feel so alone.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Totally. So what I hear is that third time's a charm.
- 21:26Speaker 3: That's what I was about to say, Heather.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yes, I am so here for it.
- 21:29Speaker 3: And that's the thing is like this all just could
- 21:31Speaker 3: have been a stepping stone for perfect match because you'll
- 21:35Speaker 3: look into perfect match after this conversation. But it's basically
- 21:38Speaker 3: all the people who didn't find love connections on other
- 21:41Speaker 3: Netflix shows, whether that's Love is Blind, The Ultimatum, whatever.
- 21:45Speaker 3: And it's a challenge more kind of you know, bachelor
- 21:50Speaker 3: in paradise, kind of very similar to the real love
- 21:54Speaker 3: boat in the sense that people are coming in at
- 21:56Speaker 3: different times and stuff like that and challenges.
- 21:59Speaker 1: It's a mixture of men and women.
- 22:01Speaker 3: So there's definitely more of a chance at finding it.
- 22:03Speaker 2: We're manifesting it right. Heather manifesting it for Emily.
- 22:07Speaker 1: So sweet.
- 22:08Speaker 4: I think Heather knows me well. So if you're saying
- 22:10Speaker 4: it's a good fit, I may have to trust you.
- 22:12Speaker 3: I was going to tell you that I don't think
- 22:14Speaker 3: it's this current season, but the last season, and we
- 22:16Speaker 3: recapped it, couple met, fell in love, had a baby
- 22:21Speaker 3: together all before, like, and got married all before the
- 22:26Speaker 3: season came out.
- 22:26Speaker 1: It can happen. It can happen. Yeah, that's so sweet. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 1: I'm a hopeless romantic, and I... I want to find love.
- 22:33Speaker 1: It's just a matter of finding where it's at.
- 22:35Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 22:35Speaker 3: We'll end on this. What's going on in your love
- 22:38Speaker 3: life now post-show? Are you dating? Is there anybody in
- 22:41Speaker 3: your life right now?
- 22:43Speaker 1: Nobody's in my life right now.
- 22:45Speaker 4: No, I think I'm open to that. I've, you know,
- 22:48Speaker 4: dated a bit post-show, nothing that's stuck, but I know
- 22:51Speaker 4: my person's out there. So I'm staying hopeful.
- 22:54Speaker 2: You should.
- 22:55Speaker 4: You're the best.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Emily, you're so beautiful inside and out.
- 22:58Speaker 1: You're so sweet.
- 22:59Speaker 2: What a bright and shiny woman that you are. Thanks
- 23:03Speaker 2: for joining us today.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, of course. Thank you guys so much
- 23:06Speaker 1: for having me. I really appreciate it.
- 23:08Speaker 3: So good to connect and see you again, Emily. Wishing
- 23:11Speaker 3: you all the best and keep in touch with us
- 23:14Speaker 3: if necessary.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Netflix comes knocking
- 23:16Speaker 4: Again sounds good so nice to talk to you thank
- 23:20Speaker 4: you bye
