- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, y'all, before we go too far, let me do
- 0:02Speaker 1: these clothes and remarksible because I thought of something that
- 0:05Speaker 1: I think could be helpful to a lot of people.
- 0:07Speaker 1: And it's a thing that I've subconsciously done for a
- 0:12Speaker 1: long time, and I'm just now deciding to put it
- 0:15Speaker 1: into words or theory. You know what, Folks, if you
- 0:20Speaker 1: could understand that losing and winning is the same thing,
- 0:29Speaker 1: it can help you. Now. Let me be clear, losing
- 0:34Speaker 1: isn't pleasant, Losing is not what we're shooting for, but
- 0:41Speaker 1: losing often happens. Basketball Players become better when they lose
- 0:47Speaker 1: critical games and critical moments. Boxers become better after they
- 0:53Speaker 1: get beat. Teams become better after they suffer a loss.
- 0:58Speaker 1: The same thing applies to you, because the most valuable
- 1:03Speaker 1: lessons I've learned in life has been behind a loss.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I cannot tell you the things I have come away
- 1:11Speaker 1: with after a loss. That's why I say, if you
- 1:15Speaker 1: can get yourself to understand that winning and losing is
- 1:20Speaker 1: the same thing, that when you win, you win, but
- 1:25Speaker 1: when you lose, you win also because in that loss
- 1:30Speaker 1: is oftentimes the most valuable treasures, moments, memories, and lessons
- 1:36Speaker 1: that you will ever have you will ever have. I
- 1:40Speaker 1: have grown to learn to appreciate the losses, the disappointments.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Most of my disappointments are let down. Have pushed me
- 1:51Speaker 1: to the next level. I suffer a loss recently over
- 1:55Speaker 1: the past two weeks, and the first day that had happened,
- 1:58Speaker 1: it threw me into something because I really was expecting.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I was told by everybody, I had the paperwork to
- 2:09Speaker 1: back it up, it was all systems go. I had
- 2:13Speaker 1: got to consent from everybody around me. Everybody I was
- 2:18Speaker 1: doing the deal with was okay with it. And on
- 2:22Speaker 1: the day of the final decision, it went completely the
- 2:27Speaker 1: other way. I mean, it just did the most unexpected
- 2:32Speaker 1: turnaround it could have made, and it threw me because
- 2:36Speaker 1: it was a loss. So it took me a day
- 2:39Speaker 1: to recover. I even mentioned it on the radio a
- 2:41Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago. It took me a minute to recover.
- 2:44Speaker 1: But then all of a sudden, I started thinking of
- 2:47Speaker 1: it and my wife reminded me. She says, Steve, take
- 2:50Speaker 1: your own advice. She said, what do you say on
- 2:53Speaker 1: your radio show to people when the door closes? You said,
- 2:58Speaker 1: when someone closed this a door in your face, don't
- 3:01Speaker 1: stand there beating on that door. Walk up the hall.
- 3:06Speaker 1: God got some more dos see. Let me tell you something, y'all.
- 3:10Speaker 1: When people or businesses or a deal shuts down an
- 3:15Speaker 1: opportunity that you consider a door that you was about
- 3:18Speaker 1: to walk through them people, do you know who God
- 3:21Speaker 1: really is? God was the creative of that opportunity. And
- 3:26Speaker 1: if God don't allow that opportunity to have, could it
- 3:28Speaker 1: be that he has a bigger and a better opportunity
- 3:30Speaker 1: for you. But it's going to require that you stop
- 3:33Speaker 1: standing that beating on the door. Open the door, open
- 3:35Speaker 1: the door, let me in. No, no, no, no, no turn around,
- 3:38Speaker 1: Walk up the hall. It's some more. Doze up the hall.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It Listen to me. This one thing that you're going
- 3:45Speaker 1: through is never the end all. If it was, you
- 3:49Speaker 1: would be ended. You Remember when you lost your job
- 3:52Speaker 1: and it felt like the end all, You got up.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You got another one. Remember when they fired you, You
- 3:57Speaker 1: got up, You got another one. Remember when you didn't graduate,
- 4:01Speaker 1: you recover it. You Remember when you didn't get the
- 4:03Speaker 1: passing grade, You recover it. Remember when everybody voted against you,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you recovered. Remember when everybody sided against you, took the
- 4:14Speaker 1: other side, You recovered. Remember when everybody was laughing at you.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Who's laughing now? I can't count the times that has
- 4:22Speaker 1: happened for me, And if you really think about it,
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure you can't count the times it's happened
- 4:26Speaker 1: to you. So I'm saying this to say this, Folks
- 4:30Speaker 1: developed the attitude that winning and losing is the same.
- 4:34Speaker 1: There's a poem by rudgyer Kipping and it says something.
- 4:40Speaker 1: There's a line in the song that says, if you
- 4:43Speaker 1: can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two
- 4:48Speaker 1: impostors just the same, because listen to me, man, triumph
- 4:53Speaker 1: and disaster they're really impostors because neither one of them
- 4:57Speaker 1: lasts forever, momentary moments. Triumph, he's an impostor because you
- 5:05Speaker 1: can't win all the time. That's fake. That's an impost
- 5:10Speaker 1: Disaster is an impostor because you're not gonna be in
- 5:15Speaker 1: a disastrous situation all the time. Winning and losing are
- 5:21Speaker 1: both wins if you look at it, it's just nobody likes.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Nobody likes the losses nobody. But I've said this how
- 5:30Speaker 1: many times on this show. Behind every moment of adversity,
- 5:34Speaker 1: two things happen. There is a lesson, and there is
- 5:38Speaker 1: a blessing, and if you don't wallow in it, you
- 5:42Speaker 1: can come away with both. Anyway, have talk to God
- 5:54Speaker 1: at which is necessary. Void were prohibited. Participants must be
- 5:59Speaker 1: legally US residents at least eighteen years old, unless otherwise stated.
