Dimension X presents “Marionettes, Inc.,” episode 46, originally broadcast on NBC on August 30, 1951. This sustaining broadcast adapts Ray Bradbury’s short story, with George Lefferts’ radio adaptation directed by Fred Wiehe.

In the projected year 1990, Henry Smith learns of a secretive company offering uncannily lifelike humanoid stand-ins. What seems like a convenient way to escape domestic routine soon raises disquieting questions about identity, freedom, and control.
