- 0:03Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls at your favorite Come
- 0:06Speaker 1: a week, you download the crazy shoots, You get you
- 0:08Speaker 1: something to drink, over a walk, snuggle up on the couch,
- 0:11Speaker 1: send in your office. Cue. We don't give a damn.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We're just glad you're here. Mark. I am not in
- 0:15Speaker 1: the podcasting studio. He's actually an old brother.
- 0:18Speaker 2: How the hell are you good, buddy? Glad to be
- 0:21Speaker 2: back man? Fun week last week? Uh yeah, that was
- 0:26Speaker 2: a that's a great week of college college football. I
- 0:31Speaker 2: want to start off with UCLA and Penn State. We
- 0:35Speaker 2: said on the pregame schedule, if not now, when for
- 0:39Speaker 2: James Franklin, well, it clearly ain't now. And how great
- 0:44Speaker 2: was that last week with First, Jerry Neuweisel just made
- 0:48Speaker 2: himself a coordinator if he wants to be, depending on,
- 0:52Speaker 2: you know, what happens out at UCLA and all of that. Second,
- 0:55Speaker 2: how great was that for Rick new Heisl, just the
- 0:58Speaker 2: whole thing. I saw him catching reef on social media
- 1:01Speaker 2: about being a homer. Well, helly, he he's a homer.
- 1:03Speaker 2: It's this kid. I think the guy held it together
- 1:06Speaker 2: better than I would have. I just can't imagine how
- 1:09Speaker 2: great that felt for him. I mean just awesome. I
- 1:14Speaker 2: mean the clip of him standing there all right, let
- 1:17Speaker 2: the clock run, Son, Let the clock run, had a boy,
- 1:19Speaker 2: had a boy was one of the coolest things ever.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I mean, he is literally watching his son do exactly
- 1:25Speaker 2: what he's supposed to be doing in that situation. Had
- 1:28Speaker 2: to be an awesome moment for that family. Just a
- 1:30Speaker 2: really really cool deal. And if you're the guy throwing
- 1:33Speaker 2: rocks at him, you're a dickhead. That's pretty much the
- 1:35Speaker 2: gist of it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I don't disagree with you.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I mean fan, I mean he's dislikingim, but I don't
- 1:43Speaker 2: I'm not a fan, certainly don't know the guy. I mean,
- 1:46Speaker 2: just a great moment. That was a great moment in
- 1:48Speaker 2: college sports. To me, I agree with you. And you know,
- 1:51Speaker 2: new knows what he's up to.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Gets he's been a player, he's been a coach, he's
- 1:54Speaker 1: been a coordinator, and he's had to call pways. So
- 1:57Speaker 1: he gets it. To get to watch your son do
- 1:58Speaker 1: it on my TV, you know what. Let's follow that
- 2:01Speaker 1: up with CBS this week loading up the crew going
- 2:04Speaker 1: to the Pacific Northwest because they've got the uh, they've
- 2:08Speaker 1: got the Indiana Oregon game up there. And they're taking
- 2:11Speaker 1: the whole CBS crew up there. I'm digging the fact
- 2:15Speaker 1: that all the major networks are buying into college football
- 2:18Speaker 1: and like and and getting rounded. You know, it's not
- 2:20Speaker 1: just ESPN. Fox is doing a good job, CBS is
- 2:24Speaker 1: doing a good peacock. I mean, NBC is not just
- 2:26Speaker 1: the Notre Dame network anymore. They're getting some big ten play.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I love it. And it's a variety of commentary, different
- 2:34Speaker 1: you know, production quality, but all in I mean, I
- 2:37Speaker 1: just love the fact that where college football is going.
- 2:39Speaker 1: As much as we complain about the portal and the
- 2:42Speaker 1: nil situation, the parody in the game now is so
- 2:46Speaker 1: interesting to me because I think, and I was talking
- 2:49Speaker 1: to somebody about this last week. You know, we're so
- 2:51Speaker 1: used to these seasons where you feel like you have
- 2:54Speaker 1: to go undefeated or go one lass so that you
- 2:56Speaker 1: can get a chance to win the tournament, and everybody
- 2:59Speaker 1: else is just kind of hanging on with hopes being
- 3:01Speaker 1: a surprise somebody get a ball win. Well, Now, the
- 3:03Speaker 1: fact that you can be a nine and three team
- 3:06Speaker 1: or a ten and two team and get into tournament
- 3:08Speaker 1: and win it is I think it's opened up the
- 3:12Speaker 1: it's opened up the game level. But I don't look
- 3:14Speaker 1: as fans, we're we're quite ready for it yet because
- 3:17Speaker 1: we haven't seen that and in our lifetime.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Really, if you think about it, absolutely sec going to
- 3:23Speaker 2: nine games next year is a big deal. It is
- 3:27Speaker 2: a it's just gonna put that many more marquee games
- 3:31Speaker 2: out there every week for teams, for teams to televise.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You've already got a lot of leagues at nine and
- 3:38Speaker 2: that is that to me is a big, a big deal.
- 3:42Speaker 2: When do one of these step off into streaming and
- 3:46Speaker 2: they put one game on Thursday night or a Friday night,
- 3:50Speaker 2: it obviously won't be Thursday night with Amazon, but you know,
- 3:54Speaker 2: put put a game out there that it is solely streaming.
- 3:58Speaker 2: What is it? You know? Who who branches out and
- 4:01Speaker 2: who's got the balls to do it? Because people will
- 4:03Speaker 2: watch it. That is the bottom line is people will
- 4:07Speaker 2: watch it. College football is a I want to say
- 4:11Speaker 2: the product's great, it's the pomp and the circumstance that
- 4:14Speaker 2: goes around college football that may if you've ever been
- 4:18Speaker 2: to a campus and just watched just how passionate, I mean,
- 4:24Speaker 2: how much people love it and how much luck they
- 4:26Speaker 2: love being back and it's everywhere. It doesn't matter whether
- 4:29Speaker 2: they're good bad average. That's what makes college football great.
- 4:33Speaker 2: And I also think it's there's a difference for these
- 4:37Speaker 2: own campuses. The biggest problem in the NFL's got in
- 4:39Speaker 2: my mind, if you go to a game, you are
- 4:42Speaker 2: without doubt going to have someone around you who's a
- 4:46Speaker 2: complete moron, is absolutely hammered, is cussing and acting like
- 4:51Speaker 2: a moron. And I don't buy cheap seats when I
- 4:54Speaker 2: go to games. That's that's the bottom line. You're gonna
- 4:57Speaker 2: run into it. It doesn't matter they're they've spent their
- 5:01Speaker 2: whole paycheck to go get smashed. I mean, you watch
- 5:04Speaker 2: it none stop. There's gonna be fights in the parking lot.
- 5:08Speaker 2: That just doesn't happen at college games. You know, it
- 5:12Speaker 2: just doesn't, and I mean not very often. And it's
- 5:16Speaker 2: a completely different environment. You can take your kids. People
- 5:19Speaker 2: been drinking all day, just the same. But there's not
- 5:22Speaker 2: that level of moron going on that there is at
- 5:26Speaker 2: NFL games. And I think, guess one advantage college football's
- 5:29Speaker 2: really got. And look, the ability now to gamble and
- 5:33Speaker 2: all of those things is such a critical deal. I
- 5:36Speaker 2: have mentioned this to several people at different schools. Somebody's
- 5:42Speaker 2: gonna embrace gambling. And what I mean by that is
- 5:46Speaker 2: they're gonna put up like a beer haul or whatever
- 5:49Speaker 2: down in the corner. It's a dead end of the
- 5:51Speaker 2: stadium or whatever. Scratch it. Don't even try to put
- 5:54Speaker 2: students down there, or players down there, or or parents
- 5:58Speaker 2: you know, or anything down there visiting fans. Nothing. Stick
- 6:02Speaker 2: you in a beer garden down there. Cover it and
- 6:04Speaker 2: put about twenty five TVs. Guess what's gonna happen. You're
- 6:08Speaker 2: gonna sell it hunt of beer because people want to
- 6:11Speaker 2: know what's going on with gambling. That's the deal. I agree.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It's too easy to bet now days.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I totally agree. A couple other things. We called
- 6:19Speaker 1: it a couple of games we missed bad. We called
- 6:21Speaker 1: it last week Cincinnati, Iowa States banged up. That was
- 6:24Speaker 1: a team I really liked going into the season with
- 6:26Speaker 1: a chance to win the Big Twelve. They've got some
- 6:28Speaker 1: big time injuries on the defense, and Cincinnati was able
- 6:31Speaker 1: to step up and exploit it. If you're a Cincinnati fan,
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry because I think Scott Sanderfield's coming back for
- 6:36Speaker 1: another year. Not a big fan of his. Dan mull
- 6:39Speaker 1: or not Dan mullan. But Billy Napier Sunbelt lay out
- 6:44Speaker 1: like we thought. He got his wide receiver back, so
- 6:48Speaker 1: he had DJ Lagway hat him a toy. They committed
- 6:51Speaker 1: to running the ball. They the offense look better than
- 6:55Speaker 1: it has all season. Defensively, that's still one of the
- 6:58Speaker 1: top defensive units in the country. And now what you're
- 7:01Speaker 1: going to find out is this week when they could
- 7:03Speaker 1: travel to Texas A and M is is this was
- 7:05Speaker 1: that just a once and on a year thing, or
- 7:08Speaker 1: is that the new normal for We're going with Florida
- 7:10Speaker 1: because Florida is not the garbage team A lot of
- 7:12Speaker 1: people think they are with that record. I mean, they've
- 7:14Speaker 1: had some close losses and they've played some good teams,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and so I think this weekend, I don't have a
- 7:20Speaker 1: play on the Florida A and M game. We can
- 7:22Speaker 1: talk about it, but I'm very interested to watch it
- 7:26Speaker 1: go down. Of course, then you've got Oklahoma and Texas.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I love the fact that I don't know if you've
- 7:30Speaker 1: seen this or not, but you know, but Teer had
- 7:33Speaker 1: hand surgery and so they originally called, you know, he
- 7:36Speaker 1: wouldn't play. Bena bules Is asked, you know, being asking
- 7:39Speaker 1: He's like, he hasn't even practiced good on Good yet.
- 7:41Speaker 1: And then you've got some dude that bumped into him
- 7:43Speaker 1: at Chapolti and asked him if he was going to
- 7:46Speaker 1: play this weekend. He told him, yeah, I'm ready. I'm
- 7:48Speaker 1: ready to go. And then you've got a guy that's
- 7:50Speaker 1: recording for She. Have you seen this, the guy that's
- 7:52Speaker 1: reported as soon as carstool And he's in the bushes
- 7:54Speaker 1: outside the state and they're not practicing outdoors. He's like, well,
- 7:58Speaker 1: it's eighty five and little cloudy here today, it could
- 7:59Speaker 1: be rain, so they're practicing inside. Because I think Vinables
- 8:04Speaker 1: remembers back in this exact same spot when they had
- 8:07Speaker 1: put a Caleb Williams package in because if you remember,
- 8:10Speaker 1: this was the game that Caleb Williams took over his
- 8:13Speaker 1: quarterback at Oklahoma and then went on his run and
- 8:16Speaker 1: ended up transferring on into USC And So I don't
- 8:20Speaker 1: know if Fitnables is playing a little cat and mouse game.
- 8:22Speaker 1: If he is, I think it's hysterical. But I don't
- 8:26Speaker 1: see how you can play material if your hand's hurt.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I just I don't. I mean, we talked about this
- 8:30Speaker 1: with Cam rising to the point of nausea. People thinking
- 8:33Speaker 1: he was gonna play. There's no way that kid's gonna play.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Mark. This is one game.
- 8:38Speaker 1: They don't even need to win it.
- 8:40Speaker 2: They don't need to win it. You need to get John,
- 8:42Speaker 2: but teerback healthy is what you need to do. Since
- 8:45Speaker 2: you can beat Ole Miss at home, you don't They
- 8:48Speaker 2: still can win this game Saturday without Matier because I
- 8:51Speaker 2: don't know that Texas is going to be able to score.
- 8:54Speaker 2: So I mean we're going to find out. This is
- 8:56Speaker 2: a This is a great red zone defense, really really
- 9:00Speaker 2: good red zone defense. I think that's gonna a stat
- 9:03Speaker 2: to watch. I did see this, heard this on Serious
- 9:07Speaker 2: XM this morning. Twenty four of the last twenty five
- 9:11Speaker 2: winners of this game have won the rushing battle. Whoever
- 9:15Speaker 2: rushes for more yards has won twenty four out of
- 9:19Speaker 2: twenty five of these games. That's gonna be a fascinating stat.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Both the quarterbacks are athletic, so it's gonna be interesting
- 9:25Speaker 2: to see who gets the most out of that. And
- 9:27Speaker 2: it frees up the run game. Because I do think
- 9:30Speaker 2: this is gonna be a low scoring game. I think
- 9:32Speaker 2: this is gonna be really tightly played. I look fascinating,
- 9:36Speaker 2: but you don't need to play with Tier. There is
- 9:40Speaker 2: very little chance that I rolled him out there because
- 9:43Speaker 2: you're risking you're a playoff team, you're a potential playoff team.
- 9:48Speaker 2: You can lose this game. Hell, you lose another game
- 9:51Speaker 2: and it doesn't matter.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And again it's that mindset.
- 9:54Speaker 2: You gotta remember mindset.
- 9:55Speaker 1: We're so used to having to go undefeated to get
- 9:57Speaker 1: in the tournament that now you've got to start at
- 10:00Speaker 1: the season.
- 10:01Speaker 2: You know, it's got to start managing your roster.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's becoming the NFL for those of you that
- 10:07Speaker 1: play it, and I'm sure there's a lot to is
- 10:09Speaker 1: a week to week league. I mean, it changes every
- 10:12Speaker 1: single week in what's going on, and I think with
- 10:14Speaker 1: college football we're trending more in that direction. We really are,
- 10:18Speaker 1: And you've got to start looking long term at your
- 10:20Speaker 1: roster to say, Okay, there's no reason to go. As
- 10:22Speaker 1: much as the alumni want you to beat Texas because
- 10:25Speaker 1: they hate Texas, you can't risk this kid when he
- 10:28Speaker 1: can be back fully healthy in two weeks and you
- 10:31Speaker 1: guys can make still and make a run it winning
- 10:32Speaker 1: the SEC championship, make a run it getting into the tournament,
- 10:36Speaker 1: play for the Natty that's.
- 10:36Speaker 2: My two cents.
- 10:37Speaker 1: If he's healthy, hell yeah, let him play. But I
- 10:40Speaker 1: just can't see him being healthy this week.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I do want to talk about one more thing about
- 10:43Speaker 2: last week. Yeah, can we plase talk about Cal just
- 10:47Speaker 2: going complete disappearing style after being up fourteen or seventeen,
- 10:52Speaker 2: nothing whatever it was, and then didn't score again, like
- 10:56Speaker 2: the rest of the game, just totally disappeared. Lost me
- 11:00Speaker 2: my Danny Sherid an underdog play. I mean, I'm Parlay
- 11:03Speaker 2: really pissed off at Justin Wilcox, that guy. They went
- 11:08Speaker 2: totally asleep, probably didn't give enough love quarterback being a
- 11:12Speaker 2: West Coast guy and him coming home and playing. But man,
- 11:16Speaker 2: Cal just I mean folded like a cheap suit. I
- 11:19Speaker 2: mean that was that was ugly but anyway, almost had it.
- 11:23Speaker 2: But that's the story of Farlay's baby. You get that
- 11:26Speaker 2: late night last game, Oh doesn't come through. Gotta love it. Though,
- 11:30Speaker 2: great weekend though, last weekend was a great weekend for sports.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I think I think Washington had a miracle comeback.
- 11:42Speaker 1: It should have lost.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It should have lost that, should have lost that ball game.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And then you got Maryland coming across this week, and boy,
- 11:49Speaker 2: this looks like This looks like it could be melt
- 11:52Speaker 2: down city for for Maryland. So again, week to week,
- 11:56Speaker 2: it's a week two week league that you got to
- 11:58Speaker 2: take awa look at. So it is very interesting. I'll
- 12:02Speaker 2: say one other thing about Sunbelt Billy. If you couldn't
- 12:06Speaker 2: see that coming. I wasn't positive they were gonna win.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Of course nobody is. But at the end of the day,
- 12:13Speaker 2: you knew they were gonna throw their best pitch. I
- 12:15Speaker 2: mean it was. This is not a team that's lost.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you a little teaser. You got another
- 12:21Speaker 2: one of those coming this week. You got another one
- 12:23Speaker 2: coming this week, and we're gonna talk about it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Let's jump right in, baby, Thursday night. You got a
- 12:29Speaker 1: whole slew of games that are coming on. Louisiana Tech
- 12:31Speaker 1: knnessas State LNS at six over hundreds forty five and
- 12:34Speaker 1: a half. Probably a little bit underrated game if you
- 12:37Speaker 1: just love watching college football. Louisiana Tech's five and zero
- 12:40Speaker 1: against the number of this season. Much improved team. I
- 12:43Speaker 1: think this was a team coming into the season that
- 12:44Speaker 1: they thought they had a lame deck coach in Senny Comby.
- 12:47Speaker 1: But pay attention to Louisiana Tech. I haven't done a
- 12:50Speaker 1: lot of digging here, but they get this win, man,
- 12:52Speaker 1: they'll be five and one straight up, six and oh
- 12:54Speaker 1: against the number much improved squad. Interesting game right in
- 12:58Speaker 1: that same space, Southern Land three against Georgia's Southern I
- 13:03Speaker 1: kind of leaned the Southern missing this spot. I think
- 13:05Speaker 1: they may actually just be able to come out and
- 13:06Speaker 1: just bully these guys and get this cover. Haven't played
- 13:10Speaker 1: it yet, but I like that from a little sun
- 13:12Speaker 1: Belt perspective. And then if you want to watch some
- 13:15Speaker 1: really bad football, let me suggest getting you some popcorn
- 13:19Speaker 1: at the Jacksonville State Sam game, because that game is
- 13:22Speaker 1: gonna be fucking terrible. Bill Longo and Sam are awful,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I mean awful awful. So let's ignore that you got
- 13:31Speaker 1: any love for East Carolina. Two Lanes gotta East Carolina's
- 13:34Speaker 1: plus six and a half over under fifty three and
- 13:36Speaker 1: a half. Both these teams are coming in off of
- 13:38Speaker 1: by Both these teams are playing probably a little bit
- 13:41Speaker 1: better than I anticipated coming the season. East Carolina's coming
- 13:45Speaker 1: off of a game where they beat Army a couple
- 13:46Speaker 1: of weeks ago after kind of shutting it down, and
- 13:48Speaker 1: two Lane obviously is coming off of that loss that
- 13:50Speaker 1: we saw him with the bounce back after the lost
- 13:53Speaker 1: to Mississipi Old miss. I don't know if I want
- 13:55Speaker 1: to play it, but I live East Carolina the pirates here.
- 13:57Speaker 1: If I get a flat seven, I might get involved.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of in the same way I started
- 14:02Speaker 2: out thinking, Oh, I like I like too lane here.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Took a look at this number. The more I like,
- 14:07Speaker 2: the more I looked at it, the more I like
- 14:08Speaker 2: East Carolina. So I think of points is probably the
- 14:11Speaker 2: right way to play here. I agree with you. If
- 14:12Speaker 2: it creeps up any that that might be the right
- 14:14Speaker 2: time to get in.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Who knows. If this thing keeps going the way now
- 14:19Speaker 1: here is the sneaky game of the week. If you're
- 14:21Speaker 1: not doing something Friday night, South Florida will be traveling.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It's gonna be one of the best games of the
- 14:26Speaker 2: week that nobody wants wanted to have.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, getting one and a half. Uh, North Texas five
- 14:31Speaker 1: and oh four and one against the number. South Florida
- 14:34Speaker 1: is four and one straight up, four and one against
- 14:36Speaker 1: the number. This is gonna be a fantastic game. I
- 14:39Speaker 1: would lean with North Texas getting the cover here. I
- 14:41Speaker 1: think they're gonna get a pretty good crowd up here.
- 14:43Speaker 1: But every I think the public will be heavy, heavy
- 14:46Speaker 1: on South Florida because everybody's gonna remember those first couple
- 14:49Speaker 1: of games and the WINNSD they've got here. And this
- 14:51Speaker 1: is a really good North Texas team. But what's really
- 14:53Speaker 1: good about this North Texas team. We played them a
- 14:55Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago, wins Washington State. Their defense is
- 14:58Speaker 1: short up, and I think they'll be able to defend
- 15:01Speaker 1: the past pretty well in this game and make South
- 15:04Speaker 1: Florida beat them on the grounds. I would lead North
- 15:06Speaker 1: Texas in this one.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I think this's gonna be it. I think it's
- 15:10Speaker 2: gonna be a great game. Uh, North, Look, this is
- 15:13Speaker 2: quietly two teams have got a chance to make the playoff.
- 15:17Speaker 2: You know, you got Memphis out there that everybody's looking
- 15:19Speaker 2: at their eye. We've talked about un l V, We've
- 15:21Speaker 2: talked about these are two other teams. South Florida wins
- 15:24Speaker 2: this game, and they keep winning, and with a win
- 15:28Speaker 2: over Florida and and uh and a loss to Miami
- 15:32Speaker 2: that hey, buddy, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta really
- 15:35Speaker 2: take a look at them too. So I think it's
- 15:37Speaker 2: gonna be I think It's gonna be fascinating to watch
- 15:39Speaker 2: these guys because right now South Florida's rank. So this
- 15:42Speaker 2: is the of the of the group of five. I
- 15:45Speaker 2: would tell you the four teams that are out front
- 15:47Speaker 2: right now, two of them are playing Friday night, and
- 15:50Speaker 2: nobody's gonna be paying attention to it. And I think
- 15:53Speaker 2: it's gonna be a great ball game.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Speaking of Friday night, we've got another one. And this
- 15:58Speaker 1: is an interesting spot right here. You've got Rutgers's traveling
- 16:03Speaker 1: across the country to play Washington. Short. It's short travel,
- 16:06Speaker 1: it's on a week Friday night, it's late Friday night game.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Rutgers is coming off of a bye. Rutgers has also
- 16:12Speaker 1: lost the two of their last games. You know, we
- 16:16Speaker 1: came out strong. I'm not high Rutgers this year. Eighthan
- 16:18Speaker 1: Calla at manis the quarterback, hadn't. I mean, they're putting
- 16:21Speaker 1: up some points, but their defense isn't nearly what it
- 16:24Speaker 1: was I thought it was gonna be. And you got
- 16:26Speaker 1: Washington that pulled one completely out of their ass last
- 16:29Speaker 1: week in Maryland. Has to fly all the way home
- 16:32Speaker 1: and then turn around and play this game Friday night.
- 16:34Speaker 1: It's gonna be rocking up there in Seattle. I like
- 16:38Speaker 1: Washington at nine. It's all the way up to ten
- 16:40Speaker 1: and a half. I'm gonna go ahead and take it
- 16:41Speaker 1: at ten and a half.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I like Washington here too. I liked it, as
- 16:45Speaker 2: you said better, but I think it's going the right direction.
- 16:48Speaker 2: It's more of a it's more of a call against Rutgers.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I think that's gonna be a tough environment. I don't
- 16:54Speaker 2: think this is a great football team with high end ability.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I think Washington gets right here after getting beat at
- 17:01Speaker 2: home a couple of weeks ago with Ohio State and
- 17:03Speaker 2: then going on the road and squeaking one out in
- 17:05Speaker 2: a tough spot. I think they get home, they get right,
- 17:08Speaker 2: and they put it on Rutgers.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Two games I'll have a play on, but I think
- 17:13Speaker 1: are kind of interesting because they next week, James Madison
- 17:16Speaker 1: and Old Dominion play each other. These are in state rivals.
- 17:19Speaker 1: This is also probably going to see that who takes
- 17:22Speaker 1: the outright lead in the Sun Belt, which both of
- 17:24Speaker 1: these teams, if they could win it, with their record
- 17:26Speaker 1: trending that way, could have a chance to get the
- 17:28Speaker 1: College Football Playoff. Both are laying big numbers this week,
- 17:31Speaker 1: so you could have a little bit of a look
- 17:32Speaker 1: ahead spot. So if you're a Sun Belt fan, man,
- 17:35Speaker 1: you may want to dig into those a little bit closer.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Penn State Northwestern is James Franklin Land twenty one and
- 17:43Speaker 1: a half, and do you he has to bitch slap
- 17:45Speaker 1: these guys. But I don't know if I can put
- 17:47Speaker 1: any faith in Big Dan James Man.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I don't know that I can put any faith in
- 17:52Speaker 2: them either. Holy smokes, how do you lose that game
- 17:54Speaker 2: the way they lost it to just I mean, holy cow. No,
- 18:00Speaker 2: I can't put any I can't put any put any
- 18:03Speaker 2: faith in these guys. But he's got to win by
- 18:05Speaker 2: twenty four points. He's got to start gas can in
- 18:08Speaker 2: some teams now to get people speak. I know, I'm
- 18:14Speaker 2: aware he's got to start gas can. He goes, when's
- 18:17Speaker 2: this came by fourteen? And dude, it's just going to
- 18:21Speaker 2: be more and more pylon. They were in fifty million
- 18:24Speaker 2: sounds like a lot. Then State's got a lot of
- 18:26Speaker 2: money too. I don't know that fifty million. I don't
- 18:29Speaker 2: know that fifty millions enough that maybe ushered out the door, because,
- 18:33Speaker 2: as I said preseason, if not now when it's clearly
- 18:37Speaker 2: not now, And when is you got to start asking
- 18:43Speaker 2: the question, can he get it done? Get it up,
- 18:45Speaker 2: get them over the hump. They feel like they are
- 18:48Speaker 2: significantly down the ladder in the in where things are trending,
- 18:54Speaker 2: in the UH, in the in the big ten. So
- 18:58Speaker 2: I don't know if I can back jam.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I tell you what, man, If I'm James Franklin, here's
- 19:03Speaker 1: my game plan. I get fired this season, I take
- 19:05Speaker 1: my fifty million, I go get a TV contract for
- 19:08Speaker 1: a couple of years where I look smart because I
- 19:11Speaker 1: know a shit ton about football and it's easy to
- 19:13Speaker 1: talk when you at that level and you're trying the
- 19:16Speaker 1: people you're like yeah, and the people you're trying to
- 19:20Speaker 1: impress are ads and border regents who don't know a
- 19:23Speaker 1: lot about football, and they're gonna look and see this
- 19:26Speaker 1: guy and think, oh man, this is this is who
- 19:28Speaker 1: needs to lead us. I don't know where he'll. Let
- 19:30Speaker 1: look look at Dan mullet. Mullen got fired at Florida coach.
- 19:34Speaker 1: He was good on TV. Now Here he goes at UNLD,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you know, and he'll probably get a bigger job later
- 19:38Speaker 1: if he wants one. So just putting it out there,
- 19:41Speaker 1: but I put fifty in my pocket, go to TV
- 19:44Speaker 1: no doubt love. Let's go up to Chestnut Hill right
- 19:48Speaker 1: there in Boston Beantown. Clemson comes up here laying fourteen.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Clemson got right last week against North Carolina North Carolina.
- 19:56Speaker 1: This week, I'd have a group press conference with them
- 19:58Speaker 1: and Bill Belichick Loveno there. I still committed to football.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Clemson's land fourteen over one hundred or fifty four and
- 20:04Speaker 1: a half. This is completely a play against Boston College.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Boston College is one of the worst Power four teams
- 20:09Speaker 1: in the country. To me, yeah, they're scoring thirty one,
- 20:12Speaker 1: but they're giving up thirty one. I got no faith
- 20:14Speaker 1: that they're going to be able to stay in this game.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I think Clemson absolutely smokes this team. I think Dabo
- 20:20Speaker 1: got that week off and he was like, look, guys,
- 20:22Speaker 1: we're still good. We still have a shot at this
- 20:25Speaker 1: We can technically still get in the tournament. We might
- 20:27Speaker 1: even have a backdoor chance to win the ACC but
- 20:30Speaker 1: we can't screw around anymore. And I kind of think
- 20:33Speaker 1: Clemson is going to start getting on a roll here
- 20:35Speaker 1: and maybe it's going to be the Clemson we thought
- 20:37Speaker 1: that we were going to get. But I don't know
- 20:39Speaker 1: but this Boston College team cannot keep up with them,
- 20:42Speaker 1: and so I am laying it with Clemson at minus
- 20:45Speaker 1: fourteen to go on the road at Boston College and
- 20:48Speaker 1: get this as an easy cover. I don't think Boston
- 20:51Speaker 1: College is going to be anywhere near being able to
- 20:54Speaker 1: keep up with Clemson on Saturday evening.
- 20:56Speaker 2: No, I agree with you. It does feel like he
- 20:58Speaker 2: did get get a Hey, look, we still got everything
- 21:00Speaker 2: we set out to play for. I think that a
- 21:02Speaker 2: lot of that is true for Clemson. But man, at
- 21:05Speaker 2: the end of the day, they just finally looked like
- 21:09Speaker 2: the team they're capable of being.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Uh.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I think some of the preseason hype may have gotten
- 21:14Speaker 2: to them. I think they started reading about how good
- 21:16Speaker 2: they thought they were, and they decided they just weren't
- 21:19Speaker 2: gonna go go do the work. The teams were just
- 21:21Speaker 2: gonna lose because they were Clemson and they were back.
- 21:24Speaker 2: They'd made the playoffs, you know, and that isn't how
- 21:27Speaker 2: it works. Everybody wants a shot, and uh, I think
- 21:30Speaker 2: you're right. The off week helped. This is more for
- 21:33Speaker 2: me a pick against Boston College. They feels like a
- 21:36Speaker 2: little bit of wheels coming off up there. Castalanos is
- 21:39Speaker 2: a guy who kept them in a lot of games
- 21:41Speaker 2: and over the years, and it just feels like they
- 21:44Speaker 2: are struggling a little bit. You know, Bill O'Brien made
- 21:49Speaker 2: his name in college football, taken over after the disaster
- 21:52Speaker 2: at Penn State, and uh when Paterno left, and this
- 21:57Speaker 2: is you know, he's got it. He's got to he's
- 21:59Speaker 2: got to fix it. We're gonna find out what kind
- 22:01Speaker 2: of college football coach he is in this game. He's
- 22:04Speaker 2: certainly a great X and O guy, but is he
- 22:06Speaker 2: a great college football coach? Got it?
- 22:09Speaker 1: We got a time zone games our second one we've
- 22:11Speaker 1: talked about UCLA after their one win travels to Michigan
- 22:15Speaker 1: State late in eight and a half. So Michigan State's
- 22:19Speaker 1: getting home over unders fifty five and a half. You
- 22:21Speaker 1: think you CLA's got enough mustard to do this two
- 22:24Speaker 1: weeks in a row.
- 22:25Speaker 2: No, I think that's great. But I think they also showed.
- 22:29Speaker 2: They also showed what they were going to change on
- 22:30Speaker 2: the offense. They are they were doing some things differently,
- 22:33Speaker 2: switched it up new Heizel made great changes. I mean,
- 22:36Speaker 2: kudos to them and that coaching staff and you know,
- 22:39Speaker 2: the interim head coach, former head coach at Fresno State.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You know, the story is great about new Heiseel, but
- 22:45Speaker 2: but the two of them did a really, really nice
- 22:47Speaker 2: job changing those things over. And it's very clear they
- 22:50Speaker 2: simplified some things and just made it. Let's take advantage
- 22:53Speaker 2: of the skill sets we have and let's try to
- 22:55Speaker 2: put them in a position to be successful, which A
- 22:58Speaker 2: is the mark of a great code and B just
- 23:01Speaker 2: means you don't have your head in your ass because
- 23:03Speaker 2: you're getting your best ball players in good spots. I
- 23:05Speaker 2: also think Michigan State's got a better idea of what's
- 23:08Speaker 2: going to be done. I think Penn State got caught
- 23:10Speaker 2: off guard with a lot of stuff. They prepared for
- 23:12Speaker 2: one thing and got hit with something else. I don't
- 23:15Speaker 2: think Michigan State's in that factor travel factor. At the
- 23:18Speaker 2: end of the day, UCLA is still not a very
- 23:19Speaker 2: good football team. What they have on the field's not
- 23:23Speaker 2: very good. Jonathan Smith's doing what Jonathan Smith does, just
- 23:27Speaker 2: slowly making Michigan State a better and better football team.
- 23:29Speaker 2: We're gonna look up and they're gonna be on the
- 23:31Speaker 2: verge of the playoffs in a couple of years. That's
- 23:33Speaker 2: really the way I think Michigan State is trending. I
- 23:36Speaker 2: think they take another good step in the right direction.
- 23:39Speaker 2: This number would have been twelve or thirteen if it
- 23:44Speaker 2: wasn't for last week. Yep, that's exactly right.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I agree with you. I think you pick up on
- 23:49Speaker 1: the flat spot and go from there. Scottie, let's go down.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Let's talk about the let's talk about it. Texas Tech
- 23:55Speaker 1: Red Raiders this team all summer long. That's all anybody
- 23:59Speaker 1: to talk. People talking about Cody Campbell like he grew
- 24:02Speaker 1: up with them, and everybody's some people bitching, oh, they're
- 24:05Speaker 1: spending the money. Well, you know what, It's not just
- 24:08Speaker 1: if they spent the money, folks, but they obviously evaluated
- 24:11Speaker 1: the talent correctly. The defensive front for Texas Tech, why
- 24:14Speaker 1: people haven't figured this out yet, is an all American
- 24:17Speaker 1: defensive front. You got five to six guys on that
- 24:20Speaker 1: defensive front that are going to get a chance to
- 24:21Speaker 1: play in the NFL. It's an SEC caliber defensive front.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm telling you, they're not even blitzing. It's just pure
- 24:29Speaker 1: down linemen getting pressure. And every single week you're starting
- 24:33Speaker 1: to see it. Last week they knocked Connor Wegman out
- 24:36Speaker 1: of the game.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Last week.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Another thing that they did, they gave up their first
- 24:39Speaker 1: touchdown with the first team defense. All season, this team's
- 24:43Speaker 1: only giving up eleven points a game and they're scoring
- 24:47Speaker 1: forty eight. Last week they dialed it back a little bit.
- 24:49Speaker 1: But this team's a wagon baby. And not only that.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I don't think they're reading the press Cliffings. I think
- 24:53Speaker 1: they're still playing with a chip on their shoulder. I
- 24:56Speaker 1: think the fact that A and M's good inside of Texas,
- 24:59Speaker 1: they're getting a lot more nordoriety. Hell, Texas with what
- 25:02Speaker 1: Archer is doing, is getting a lot more nordoniety. No
- 25:04Speaker 1: one's paying much attention to this team here. Still Kansas
- 25:08Speaker 1: comes in here four and two. When we've seen Kansas
- 25:11Speaker 1: get matched up, they haven't played well. This composed me
- 25:13Speaker 1: back to that Missouri game where they weren't. I think
- 25:16Speaker 1: Texas Tech. They go to Lubbock, it's homecoming, it's a
- 25:19Speaker 1: night game at the Jones. It's under fourteen.
- 25:22Speaker 2: And a half.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Give me the Red Raiders to cover a one more
- 25:25Speaker 1: time and give the five and one on the spread
- 25:27Speaker 1: six to zero straight up on the season.
- 25:30Speaker 2: This is blowout city. I think it's blowout city. I
- 25:33Speaker 2: think that this is a one man show for Kansas.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I watched every second of that Missouri game. I think
- 25:41Speaker 2: this defense is significantly better than Missouri's. Not that Missouri's
- 25:45Speaker 2: got a bad defense or anything like that, but I
- 25:47Speaker 2: think this is a good defense. I think they're able
- 25:50Speaker 2: to contain the quarterback, and I think this offense is
- 25:54Speaker 2: going to put it on a Texas defense. I mean,
- 25:56Speaker 2: a Kansas defense has been giving up some points, so
- 25:59Speaker 2: give me the red. I think they are going to
- 26:02Speaker 2: put wood to Kansas on Saturday night. And look they've
- 26:06Speaker 2: been doing it every week. Look at what they've done
- 26:08Speaker 2: against the against the line.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So get on board, folks. I'm telling you they could
- 26:13Speaker 1: be a wagon for us. Here. Interesting game eleven am
- 26:16Speaker 1: Central Time. Alabama travels up to Missouri. Alabama coming after
- 26:20Speaker 1: two hard games in a row against Georgia and then
- 26:22Speaker 1: turned around to play bandy. I got that win. Starting
- 26:26Speaker 1: to look like the Alabama that we thought they might
- 26:28Speaker 1: be when we said they'd win the SEC. Starting to
- 26:31Speaker 1: be like some of the players Scott talked about in
- 26:33Speaker 1: the early season. But let's not sleep on Miszoo. This
- 26:36Speaker 1: was my sleeper pick to make it to the Big Ten,
- 26:38Speaker 1: to the SEC championship game, and they'll still have a
- 26:40Speaker 1: shot even if they lose this game. But the lineers
- 26:43Speaker 1: three traveling up to Columbia, Missouri's five and oh straight
- 26:46Speaker 1: up three and two against the number Scotty talking about this.
- 26:48Speaker 2: SEC matchup, this is a game that I have had circled.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I'm not backing off of it. I love the Tigers here.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Three and a half is a short number, got a
- 27:00Speaker 2: chance to win this game. Straight up. I think this
- 27:02Speaker 2: is gonna be a slugfest that Alabama defense can be had.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I think those athletic wide receivers and drink Wits getting
- 27:10Speaker 2: those guys in space is going to be a big,
- 27:14Speaker 2: big deal on Saturday. That defense is mad for Alabama.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I don't care how talented it is, it's not executing
- 27:23Speaker 2: at a high level, and that's what matters. Drink Whitz
- 27:25Speaker 2: has always done a good job of finding opportunities to
- 27:29Speaker 2: exploit guys. It's not just one or two guys. They
- 27:32Speaker 2: got a lot of guys on at the skill positions.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And look, they got the leading receiver in the SEC
- 27:38Speaker 2: right now, so there's a This is a really, really
- 27:41Speaker 2: good opportunity. But the reason I love this game, early
- 27:44Speaker 2: in the preseason. You got Mazoo coming off and off week,
- 27:47Speaker 2: and you got Bama coming off of two huge games.
- 27:51Speaker 2: You got them coming off of Georgia on the road
- 27:53Speaker 2: and then Vandy last week was a big game. And
- 27:55Speaker 2: if they lost, because that Vandy games what kept Bama
- 27:58Speaker 2: out of the playoffs. And you knew Bama was going
- 28:01Speaker 2: to play well, and that was a slug fest. That
- 28:03Speaker 2: game is a hell of a lot closer than the score,
- 28:05Speaker 2: a whole lot closer. Pavea turns it over twice in
- 28:08Speaker 2: the red zone, he sticks us in for touchdowns, and
- 28:11Speaker 2: it's a ballgame. And candidly, they probably win if they
- 28:16Speaker 2: go up fourteen to nothing. I really believe that was
- 28:19Speaker 2: probably what was getting ready to happen. So let's not overplay.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I love Simpson, I love Sabama. Defense is not what
- 28:27Speaker 2: you've seen for the last two decades from Alabama. It
- 28:30Speaker 2: is different. I'm going to be stunned if wo Mack
- 28:33Speaker 2: is back as the defensive coordinator next year. Be shocked
- 28:37Speaker 2: if he's back. Give me the Tigers and the points, baby,
- 28:40Speaker 2: I think they're a live dog. I think they may
- 28:42Speaker 2: win this game. Straight up. No, I agree with you.
- 28:45Speaker 1: You know the other thing you know who Alabama's got
- 28:47Speaker 1: on deck next week, don't you.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I did not look who they've gotten Tennessee. I know
- 28:52Speaker 2: it's a big game.
- 28:53Speaker 1: See next week. I mean you've got with the one
- 28:55Speaker 1: of their longest rival games coming in a sandwich spot.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Missouri's one of those funny teams the SEC that I
- 29:00Speaker 1: don't think the old school SEC teams get up for.
- 29:04Speaker 1: And they've exploited on that for a long time on
- 29:06Speaker 1: the SEC East, like three or four times, and it's
- 29:09Speaker 1: kind of a unique spot. They recruit differently than everybody
- 29:12Speaker 1: else up there. But Drink's done a good job, man,
- 29:14Speaker 1: I like you.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Let's go Bazoo.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Let's get the upset against Bama and make things even
- 29:19Speaker 1: more interesting as we keep things rolling. Scotty, Let's go
- 29:23Speaker 1: way up to the northwest, not the way up to
- 29:26Speaker 1: the mountains of Utah. Little Lund. Here's five and a half.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Arizona State will be just traveling straight up to come
- 29:31Speaker 1: up and play this team over under here is forty
- 29:34Speaker 1: eight and a half. Both these teams are four and one.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Both of these teams were preseason picked to probably play
- 29:39Speaker 1: for the Big twelve championship. They're both the lining to
- 29:41Speaker 1: where that is both come away with one lost. Utah obvious,
- 29:44Speaker 1: who's that loss that they took at home in Texas Tech.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Arizona State was the loss that they took right there
- 29:49Speaker 1: in Start Vegas. Baby, But they haven't lost the conference
- 29:52Speaker 1: game yet. How has this been a roll?
- 29:55Speaker 2: Low scoring baby? Becaus Arizona State defenses significantly better people
- 30:00Speaker 2: better than people realize. They did a great job on
- 30:03Speaker 2: that TCU offense. They look, State's offense can score, can
- 30:07Speaker 2: make big plays on you. Minus the big plays, State
- 30:09Speaker 2: couldn't really do anything against Arizona State. I don't know
- 30:13Speaker 2: that Utah has got that quick strikeability. And candidly, this
- 30:17Speaker 2: ASU offense is pedestrian. I mean that is the bottom line.
- 30:21Speaker 2: They're not getting the kind of way play. Oh yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 2: they're not getting the quarterback play. He zones in on
- 30:28Speaker 2: their best wide receiver way too much. And look, that
- 30:31Speaker 2: kid's first rounder. So everybody, yep, yep, everybody, everybody out
- 30:35Speaker 2: to zone in on that kid. But at the end
- 30:37Speaker 2: of the day, you have got to be able to execute.
- 30:42Speaker 2: And he just misses some throws. I mean, Levitt misses
- 30:45Speaker 2: some guys at every ball game. He's missing open guys.
- 30:48Speaker 2: End of the day. I think this is going to
- 30:49Speaker 2: be a slugfest. I think it's going to be a
- 30:51Speaker 2: defensive battle. I think we go under forty eight and
- 30:55Speaker 2: a half. I think you're looking at a twenty one
- 30:56Speaker 2: to seventeen twenty four to seventeen twenty four, twenty something
- 31:01Speaker 2: like that kind of ball game.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I like it. I love unders baby. You know it's
- 31:06Speaker 1: never over Scott until.
- 31:07Speaker 2: It's under That's exactly right.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Well, let's get let's get some more. I got a
- 31:11Speaker 1: couple more of those coming for you than years today.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Michigan's traveling out to the coliseum. I love good West
- 31:18Speaker 1: Coast football, and I love good football in Los Angeles.
- 31:22Speaker 1: It is just such a beautiful thing when I get
- 31:23Speaker 1: to turn on an evening game and I've got a
- 31:26Speaker 1: five thirty afternoon sunset coming down out there in the coliseum.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Michigan traveling out here. They're laying get Michigan's getting two
- 31:33Speaker 1: and a half against this USC team. Both these teams
- 31:36Speaker 1: are four and one, both are two and three against number.
- 31:38Speaker 1: They're vastly different teams. USC is known to throw the
- 31:41Speaker 1: ball a little bit more, but they've actually shored up
- 31:43Speaker 1: their defense some Michigan Bryce Underwood is getting more into
- 31:47Speaker 1: the playbook, and they're just a run ground pound, run
- 31:51Speaker 1: ground pround and they don't have any wide receivers that
- 31:53Speaker 1: can really exploit anybody in the back end and both
- 31:56Speaker 1: the top off the defense. This was a game last
- 31:58Speaker 1: year that if you go back and actually look at it,
- 32:00Speaker 1: I rewatched, it lie closer than what the score final
- 32:03Speaker 1: industry to being. How are you going to roll this one?
- 32:05Speaker 2: Scatty, Look, I love sc Here. The travel I think
- 32:11Speaker 2: is a big deal, as it always is. You're gonna
- 32:15Speaker 2: continue to hear us talk about that when you apply
- 32:18Speaker 2: it across the board. These numbers are big. I mean
- 32:21Speaker 2: I have started betting pretty much every two and three
- 32:24Speaker 2: hour time travel game just depending on what I like
- 32:28Speaker 2: about favorite especially favorites on the road. They just simply
- 32:32Speaker 2: don't cover very often. And you know, you get back
- 32:36Speaker 2: to Washington, figured out a way to squeak that game
- 32:38Speaker 2: out last week, they ain't cover, you know. So, I mean,
- 32:41Speaker 2: it's it's just constantly, it's just constantly a fight. I
- 32:45Speaker 2: like se here. I think they I think they win
- 32:48Speaker 2: this ball game because they're the better football team this year.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I just don't know that Michigan's offense is gonna be
- 32:54Speaker 2: able to keep up enough. I like them here. I
- 32:57Speaker 2: like them in a seven to ten point range. I
- 32:59Speaker 2: think you get an easy cover on what feels like
- 33:01Speaker 2: way too short of the line.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Speaking of putting up some points, Arkansas travels out to
- 33:08Speaker 1: Knoxville to play Tennessee. Tennessee's got Bama on deck. Arkansas
- 33:11Speaker 1: is a wounded pig baby, and Tennessee's laying twelve and
- 33:15Speaker 1: a half over under here sixty eight and a half.
- 33:17Speaker 1: For you young bucks that hadn't been around a little bit,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you're gonna get introduced to a man named Bobby Patrino
- 33:22Speaker 1: on Saturday who was the coach at Arkansas about a
- 33:24Speaker 1: decade ago before. He had a little sexual issue with
- 33:28Speaker 1: some co ed's that were there, and he wrecked a
- 33:30Speaker 1: motorcycle and I don't know who I do his boss
- 33:32Speaker 1: about it. You can go google all that kind of
- 33:33Speaker 1: stuff rolling in here. Arkansas getting twelve and a half
- 33:37Speaker 1: over under sixty eight and a half. Arkansas man, they
- 33:40Speaker 1: could play it back for their season, and you know,
- 33:43Speaker 1: you know for a fact, Bobby Petrino is playing this
- 33:46Speaker 1: like this is his last chance to get a head
- 33:48Speaker 1: coaching job somewhere. What do we expect Saturday afternoon in.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Knoxville points and a bunch of them. Baby. His Tennessee
- 33:56Speaker 2: defense is not very good. The pass for us are
- 33:58Speaker 2: pretty good, but that's about it. There. They simply get
- 34:01Speaker 2: they give up big plays. You can get open on
- 34:03Speaker 2: these guys, you can run to their igh grade against
- 34:05Speaker 2: the run. I think to cover the past, they have
- 34:09Speaker 2: to play more guys back. That opens them up to
- 34:11Speaker 2: the run. You got an athletic quarterback in Arkansas and
- 34:14Speaker 2: a fabulous offensive coach in Petrino. They fired everybody on
- 34:19Speaker 2: that staff for the most part. On the defensive side
- 34:21Speaker 2: of the ball, there's no way I'm gonna be stunned
- 34:24Speaker 2: if Arkansas plays good defense. I ain't. Petrino knows you're
- 34:27Speaker 2: gonna have to outscore people the rest of the way.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I think he's got the ability to do that. If
- 34:31Speaker 2: they turn it loose, I think he is gonna turn
- 34:34Speaker 2: it loose, I ain't. They'll have a couple of big
- 34:36Speaker 2: strikes down the field. That's the one thing about patrino
- 34:39Speaker 2: offenses that when he was calling the shots every game,
- 34:43Speaker 2: they would have one or two huge plays where they've
- 34:46Speaker 2: just got a guy running wide open behind the defense
- 34:50Speaker 2: and it's a sixty yard touchdown or seventy yard touchdown,
- 34:53Speaker 2: and I think he does it. I think he does that. Again.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Ain't Tennessee's gonna win the ball game? I ain't. They
- 34:58Speaker 2: probably even cover. But at the end of the day,
- 35:01Speaker 2: I ain't. We go over sixty eight and a half
- 35:03Speaker 2: and you're thinking, man, this is a ton of points.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Ain't Tennessee's gonna score forty or forty five? I really do.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I mean, I think they're gonna do just what Notre
- 35:10Speaker 2: Dame did. The difference is I ain't You're gonna do
- 35:13Speaker 2: it faster and I ain't. And I think ND's gonna
- 35:17Speaker 2: have it. I mean, Arkansas is gonna have a couple
- 35:19Speaker 2: of chances to score, and they're gonna score some points
- 35:22Speaker 2: as well. They score in the what are likely the
- 35:26Speaker 2: low thirties. I think Tennessee's in the forties or maybe
- 35:29Speaker 2: even the fifties. And I ain't g's where this ball game.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I don't guess where this ball game goes. I ain't
- 35:33Speaker 2: guess numbers gonna hit seventy. I would be stunned if
- 35:37Speaker 2: it doesn't.
- 35:38Speaker 1: That's awesome. Next two games SEC games Florida, Texas A
- 35:41Speaker 1: and m South Carolina LSU. I don't have anything on
- 35:45Speaker 1: either one of these games. I think the line's kind
- 35:47Speaker 1: of about where I don't want to touch it. I'm
- 35:49Speaker 1: interested to watch them both. I'm still kind of waiting
- 35:51Speaker 1: for LSU's offense to pop if it's there, and then
- 35:55Speaker 1: with Texas A and M it's kind of how real
- 35:57Speaker 1: are you? And then what Florida is gonna show up?
- 36:00Speaker 1: So I'm interested to watch both these games. I got
- 36:02Speaker 1: no play on either one of them.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I like, you know, I kind of like South
- 36:10Speaker 2: Carolina here, just simply because that LSU offense has been
- 36:14Speaker 2: so bad. I mean, it is so bad, and it
- 36:18Speaker 2: was really bad against Florida, and it was really bad
- 36:22Speaker 2: against Florida. I just and certainly this defense from South
- 36:27Speaker 2: Carolina is not as good. This is the time to
- 36:29Speaker 2: get right at home. You would expect it. I don't know.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I think that I'll be interested to see what sellers
- 36:35Speaker 2: can do against this defense, because I do think it's
- 36:38Speaker 2: LSU defense is good. Don't know that I'm gonna play it,
- 36:41Speaker 2: but man, my gut tells me South Carolina is gonna
- 36:44Speaker 2: stay within nine and a half on this deal.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Something I am going to play. Scottie is Ohio State
- 36:50Speaker 1: travels to Champagne on Saturday afternoon. Game will kick off
- 36:53Speaker 1: at noon Eastern time. Ohio State's laying fourteen over under.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Here's forty nine and a half. I rewatch the Ohio
- 37:00Speaker 1: State couple of games this week. That defense is scary.
- 37:04Speaker 1: And then the other thing is Illinois plays band coverage
- 37:07Speaker 1: at the highest percent of any power for a team
- 37:09Speaker 1: in the country, and Julian's saying, man, they're opening up
- 37:12Speaker 1: to it. He started making some moves and he's probably
- 37:15Speaker 1: got the best wide receiver room in the country in
- 37:17Speaker 1: my opinion, and you're starting to see him take shots
- 37:19Speaker 1: down the middle of the field, which they weren't doing
- 37:21Speaker 1: early on. They're getting confidence in in that defenses behind him.
- 37:24Speaker 1: This Illinois team is not as good as they thought
- 37:27Speaker 1: they were coming into the season. I think Ohio State
- 37:30Speaker 1: fucking smokes Illinois on Saturday.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Plus seven straight ball games for Illinois, one of a
- 37:36Speaker 2: few teams in the country hadn't already had an off week.
- 37:40Speaker 2: They're going on the road to what looks like the
- 37:42Speaker 2: best team in the country. Right now.
- 37:44Speaker 1: They're home the home.
- 37:45Speaker 2: They're home, oh Illinois.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Yeah, Illinois at home in this one.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Oh they get him at home. Oh Okay, I had
- 37:52Speaker 2: that written down wrong the h But I still think
- 37:56Speaker 2: that this team is going to struggle. If you play
- 37:58Speaker 2: man demand against Jarry Minh Smith, you're gonna get crushed.
- 38:02Speaker 2: I mean, nobody does it. It doesn't matter how good
- 38:04Speaker 2: your cornerbacks are. You have to give help over the
- 38:08Speaker 2: top to that guy or he's gonna beat you. In hell,
- 38:11Speaker 2: there's times that they've just thrown it up for grabs
- 38:14Speaker 2: this year and he's beat too. I mean, the guy's
- 38:17Speaker 2: a great players, he's best wide receiver in college football.
- 38:20Speaker 2: He's a super talented kid. They are gonna play man
- 38:23Speaker 2: to man. They are gonna have to load up to
- 38:25Speaker 2: try to stop this run game. And at the end
- 38:28Speaker 2: of the day, I think it's I think this is trouble.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I agree with you. I think they're gonna drill them.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I think two weeks and I think two weeks in
- 38:37Speaker 2: a row for Illinois too, because look, they bounced back,
- 38:41Speaker 2: coming back after the embarrassing loss to Indiana. This team's
- 38:47Speaker 2: a whole lot better than Indiana. They were at home
- 38:49Speaker 2: for that ball game. I think they get drilled as well.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Well. They had a plucky Purdue I mean Purdue had
- 38:56Speaker 1: some turnovers last week that ended up letting Illinois run
- 38:59Speaker 1: away from them, but you know, and then they had.
- 39:01Speaker 2: That dog fight with USC.
- 39:03Speaker 1: So yeah, their schedule has been tough and to get
- 39:06Speaker 1: to where they're at seven games in a row. They're
- 39:08Speaker 1: about to play what I think is the best team
- 39:09Speaker 1: in the country. Give me Ohio State. I think they
- 39:11Speaker 1: walk this one out. They look like they're taking care
- 39:13Speaker 1: of business. It's validation, That's what I feel. I feel
- 39:17Speaker 1: like it's like when you're playing golf and you gotta
- 39:18Speaker 1: validate the whole after you win it, you go to
- 39:20Speaker 1: win the next one. I kind of feel like Ohio State,
- 39:22Speaker 1: like right now, is validating last year's Natty. It's like, look,
- 39:25Speaker 1: we're gonna come back and win this again with the
- 39:27Speaker 1: whole new cast of players and just to let y'all
- 39:30Speaker 1: know we're here.
- 39:31Speaker 2: So and here's the way, here's the here's the thing
- 39:33Speaker 2: about Bayla Mont too, in this ball game. I don't
- 39:37Speaker 2: think it matters for them. Their goal has always been
- 39:40Speaker 2: to make the playoff, to try to get in with
- 39:44Speaker 2: into the playoffs this season, and I think BLAM was
- 39:46Speaker 2: doing everything. They got an off weekend, they go to
- 39:49Speaker 2: Washington and after that every other games wonnerful Ruggers at home, Maryland,
- 39:56Speaker 2: at Wisconsin Northwestern, they will to win every one of
- 39:58Speaker 2: those ball games, and they all to win them all convincingly.
- 40:01Speaker 2: So the bottom line is they's got to figure out
- 40:05Speaker 2: if they beat Washington on the road. I think they're
- 40:07Speaker 2: in the playoffs nine to three, They're gonna be on
- 40:10Speaker 2: the cusp again. Do they make it or do they not?
- 40:12Speaker 2: Depends on what else happens in the country and happens
- 40:15Speaker 2: in the conference. So I don't think this game necessarily
- 40:18Speaker 2: matters nearly as much while it's at home. I think
- 40:21Speaker 2: Illinois fans are gonna think they've got a chance. I
- 40:23Speaker 2: don't think they do. I think they get drilled.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Let's go up to the Pacific Northwest. Indiana's traveling out
- 40:29Speaker 1: to Oregon. Play this one here lives seven and a half.
- 40:33Speaker 1: With Oregon's laying I'm gonna sit quiet and I'm gonna
- 40:36Speaker 1: hope I can get a flight seven and then I'm
- 40:38Speaker 1: gonna lay it with the Oregon. I think Indiana is
- 40:40Speaker 1: gonna be the big public dog in this space. I
- 40:43Speaker 1: think you're gonna hear a whole lot of oil. Oregon
- 40:45Speaker 1: beat Penn State, but how good is Penn State they
- 40:48Speaker 1: just lost to Ucla. You're gonna get a lot of
- 40:51Speaker 1: that sediment. Everybody's gonna remember Indiana hanging a seventy burger
- 40:54Speaker 1: or whatever the number was that they put up on
- 40:56Speaker 1: that Illinois team a couple of weeks ago. I'm gonna
- 40:59Speaker 1: lay it this Oregon team. I've convinced Organ's one of
- 41:02Speaker 1: the top four or five teams in the country. I'm
- 41:04Speaker 1: hoping I can get a flat seven. I like their offense.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I like the creativity of the deep of what they've
- 41:09Speaker 1: been calling here. I think this is a better unit.
- 41:12Speaker 1: And I think Signetti knows he's got a ball game
- 41:15Speaker 1: on his hands because he's been real quiet this week,
- 41:18Speaker 1: and typically he's not scared to run his py hole.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Give me the Ducks minus seven if I can get it.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Ducks here. A couple of things.
- 41:26Speaker 2: As I was researching this, you obviously look at it
- 41:28Speaker 2: and you think, man, look at Indiana, they're good seven
- 41:31Speaker 2: and a half. That seems like way too much. Oh,
- 41:33Speaker 2: Indiana looks like the obvious first stat I read when
- 41:36Speaker 2: I started looking at Oregon fourteen and four against the
- 41:38Speaker 2: spread as a single digit favorite. Boom last eighteen. That's
- 41:43Speaker 2: a pretty damn nice number right there. Oregon takes care
- 41:46Speaker 2: of business, and they take care of business at home.
- 41:49Speaker 2: And I think Dan Lanning, I aink he's the best
- 41:52Speaker 2: young coach in college football. I think the guy is exciting.
- 41:55Speaker 2: You go look at his background. I mean that dude
- 42:03Speaker 2: was a grad assistant in like twenty fourteen. I mean,
- 42:06Speaker 2: his career is a rocket ship. I mean just he
- 42:10Speaker 2: got opportunities and everybody noticed how good this guy was
- 42:14Speaker 2: and it just allowed him to sky me from he
- 42:16Speaker 2: went from GA to defensive coordinator at Georgia like overnight,
- 42:21Speaker 2: I mean what felt like overnight, and in boom. He's
- 42:24Speaker 2: a head coach. I mean, because he's been not like
- 42:26Speaker 2: he hadn't been in Washington a couple of years, you know.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I mean this is a I mean Oregon a couple
- 42:30Speaker 2: of years. So this is a great time. This is
- 42:33Speaker 2: a great coach, great coaching staff. Obviously, everybody knows that
- 42:36Speaker 2: listens to us. What I think about Signetty. I think
- 42:39Speaker 2: he's a fabulous guy. I think he's a fabulous coach.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Love HOWKAKEI he is. It's just I mean, it's just
- 42:45Speaker 2: one of those I think it's a great matchup. But
- 42:47Speaker 2: I do like Oregon here in the points. I think, again,
- 42:49Speaker 2: you're getting into travel and I like Oregon. And look,
- 42:53Speaker 2: also is a tough place to play. It's loud, the
- 42:55Speaker 2: fans are on top of the stadium, all these all
- 42:58Speaker 2: these fans think you got to have a Jagani stadium
- 43:01Speaker 2: of one hundred thousand people and all that. You don't
- 43:04Speaker 2: for it to be a rowdy, raucous home environment. And
- 43:07Speaker 2: Austin's one of them. And so I like Oregon here.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I just look, I think Oregon's really really good. I
- 43:13Speaker 2: really do, and I think it is. And look, they've
- 43:17Speaker 2: clearly got money for nil. But I also think Landing's
- 43:19Speaker 2: doing a really good job getting players to stay in
- 43:23Speaker 2: this program, developing guys. He's doing a better job of
- 43:27Speaker 2: that than I think people than I think people recognize.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Now I agree with you.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Let's do it, baby. I'm all in on Oregon. And
- 43:36Speaker 1: this is one of my favorite plays. Texas Oklahoma. This
- 43:39Speaker 1: line's being played. Is the Materia's not gonna play laying
- 43:43Speaker 1: one and a half over unders forty three and a
- 43:46Speaker 1: half Saturday morning. The average fan is gonna wake up
- 43:49Speaker 1: and go. I was Oklahoma getting points. Let's bet on them.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Texas suck. Look what are they doing? Well, they may suck,
- 43:57Speaker 1: but I don't know what you're gonna get from court
- 44:01Speaker 1: with the backup quarterback Marshall what's his name, Wiley? I
- 44:04Speaker 1: think that's right. He played in this game last year
- 44:05Speaker 1: and they scored three points, and so Texas can't move
- 44:09Speaker 1: the ball either. We're getting Manning. Is he getting better?
- 44:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think he can read a defense.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I really don't think he can read a defense, which
- 44:17Speaker 1: surprises me more than anything that he's been there. It's
- 44:21Speaker 1: not if he was a freshman or a red shirt freshman,
- 44:24Speaker 1: but the fact that he's been in that system for
- 44:25Speaker 1: three years and they were like, yo, yeah, we can
- 44:28Speaker 1: build around this. They can. The offensive line's not that good.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's given up. It's given them problems all season long.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I don't think he can read through the progressions.
- 44:37Speaker 2: And they can't run the rock.
- 44:38Speaker 1: They ran for like eleven yards last weekend on nine carries,
- 44:42Speaker 1: and they just can't get it done. He's the second
- 44:44Speaker 1: most sack in the quarterback in the country, only behind
- 44:46Speaker 1: Jackson Arnold. I'm going under forty three and a half
- 44:49Speaker 1: here because I don't know what you're gonna get from
- 44:51Speaker 1: Oklahoma's offense, but I think the defense is going to
- 44:53Speaker 1: step up and play. That defense knows what they have
- 44:56Speaker 1: to do in this game to keep them in it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: The defense, and I think Oklahoma's got a chip on
- 45:01Speaker 1: their shoulder, not just against Texas, but I think they've
- 45:03Speaker 1: got a national chip on their shoulder because they were
- 45:05Speaker 1: hot garbage last year. Most people thought they weren't going
- 45:08Speaker 1: to be that great. A couple of pundits writing about him.
- 45:11Speaker 1: I think they're like, you know what, fuck you, we
- 45:13Speaker 1: can come out with our backup quarterback and prove it here.
- 45:16Speaker 1: We'll ride on this defense. I don't know who's going
- 45:18Speaker 1: to win the game. If I had to lay it,
- 45:19Speaker 1: I probably lay Texas, but I'm going to go under
- 45:21Speaker 1: forty three and a half. I think this is gonna
- 45:23Speaker 1: be a dogfight in Dallas.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Mike Halkins Junior is the quarterback. He did quarterback
- 45:29Speaker 2: last year, a Frisco High kid Emerson High School, so
- 45:33Speaker 2: and obviously Oklahoma thinks they can develop him into something,
- 45:37Speaker 2: keeping him because when they brought him, a tear of
- 45:39Speaker 2: the natural process as a guy who played as much
- 45:41Speaker 2: as he did last year transfers out. That's the way
- 45:44Speaker 2: it looks. They obviously did a nice job trying to
- 45:46Speaker 2: keep him, convincing him that they had confidence in him,
- 45:49Speaker 2: that they could develop him. Here's the deal for me,
- 45:51Speaker 2: That Texas offensive line is bad, and I do think
- 45:54Speaker 2: that it is got a little bit of gun shy
- 45:58Speaker 2: or I think I think Manning's gun shy back there.
- 46:02Speaker 2: And this ain't the kind of defense that you that
- 46:06Speaker 2: you want to be playing if your offensive line is bad.
- 46:09Speaker 2: So I am super glad the Bulldogs don't have to
- 46:11Speaker 2: play Oklahoma this year because that defense is nasty and
- 46:14Speaker 2: I think you're gonna see a lot of what they
- 46:15Speaker 2: did to Auburn. They got back there and just got
- 46:20Speaker 2: after the quarterback. Well, they have ten sacks in that game,
- 46:23Speaker 2: just a I don't know if they're gonna have ten
- 46:26Speaker 2: sacks because he's such an athlete, but at the end
- 46:29Speaker 2: of the day, I ain't They're gonna get after the
- 46:31Speaker 2: quarterback make him really uncomfortable. I agree, this is low scoring.
- 46:35Speaker 2: This feels like a fight in a phone booth. Don't
- 46:37Speaker 2: know how Oklahoma's gonna score because Texas defense is better
- 46:41Speaker 2: than the is better than the offense. With that offensive
- 46:45Speaker 2: offensive line being as bad as it is, this being
- 46:47Speaker 2: a really really good Oklahoma defense gonna be fascinating to see.
- 46:52Speaker 2: No chance I bring back my tears. I know that
- 46:55Speaker 2: I roll this game out, so I like the under.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Here. Let's get at one last game. I want to
- 47:01Speaker 1: talk about Georgia Auburn, the oldest rivalry in the South.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I love the fact that they still put the Chick
- 47:07Speaker 1: fil A store up that's on the state line to
- 47:09Speaker 1: see who can sell more chicken. Georgia comes in here
- 47:13Speaker 1: laying three and a half. They're going to the planes
- 47:15Speaker 1: at Jordan Hare over under. Here's forty six and a half.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Georgie's four and one straight up. They already have a
- 47:21Speaker 1: conference loss, but they're also one and four against the spread,
- 47:25Speaker 1: three and two to the over.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Under.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Auburn comes in here three and two, two and three
- 47:30Speaker 1: against the number, one and four to the under. I'll
- 47:33Speaker 1: lay it out all this game here. Georgia has no
- 47:36Speaker 1: pass rush whatsoever. They have one sack from the defensive
- 47:40Speaker 1: lineman all season long, which is crazy when you think
- 47:43Speaker 1: that they turned out about nine of those guys in
- 47:45Speaker 1: the NFL a couple of years ago, and they really
- 47:48Speaker 1: have struggled to put pass pressure into this thing. I've
- 47:51Speaker 1: been thinking for weeks. If Auburn's gonna get right, this
- 47:54Speaker 1: is the game to do it, just because Arnold may
- 47:57Speaker 1: have enough time back there, but with a bye week
- 48:01Speaker 1: last week, if Hugh Freeze just not open this offense
- 48:04Speaker 1: up and figure out how to use those two wide
- 48:06Speaker 1: receivers he's got, that's it's court martial time for me.
- 48:10Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know how you feel about it.
- 48:13Speaker 2: The last stand of hooker. Hugh is right here, because
- 48:18Speaker 2: if he doesn't win, he's getting fired. Because at the
- 48:20Speaker 2: end of the day, at some point, if he doesn't
- 48:22Speaker 2: start getting those wide receivers the football and getting them
- 48:26Speaker 2: make them plays, You're going to start getting mile content.
- 48:29Speaker 2: You're gonna start getting some things like that. Singleton's got
- 48:32Speaker 2: to be frustrated looking at what Georgia Tech's doing. You know,
- 48:35Speaker 2: he's got to be wondering, Man, what should I have stayed?
- 48:39Speaker 2: You know, because at the end of the day, this
- 48:41Speaker 2: team is super talented. We did not misread this roster
- 48:46Speaker 2: when I said, look, I think this team could have
- 48:48Speaker 2: an outside shot. You just didn't know what Arnold was
- 48:51Speaker 2: going to be, and we have found out that he
- 48:54Speaker 2: is not a quarterback who can read a defense, and
- 48:56Speaker 2: he holds the football too long. But I do think
- 48:59Speaker 2: this is all ways a really, really good game. But
- 49:02Speaker 2: George has dominated this game. I think since sixteen. I
- 49:06Speaker 2: think I think Auburn's only won one game. I think
- 49:09Speaker 2: that's twenty seventeen, and then George came back beat him
- 49:11Speaker 2: in the SEC Championship. So at the end of the day,
- 49:15Speaker 2: George has dominated this rivalry for the last few years.
- 49:18Speaker 2: But this is the last and of you freeze. If
- 49:20Speaker 2: he wants to be back as the football coach, he's
- 49:24Speaker 2: either got to win this or got to win Bama.
- 49:27Speaker 2: That's the bottom line. And he's got to not stumble
- 49:30Speaker 2: somewhere else along the way during the season. He's got
- 49:34Speaker 2: all the losses he can get. If he can't start,
- 49:37Speaker 2: he's got a he can lose probably one of these
- 49:39Speaker 2: two games between George and Bama, nobody else. He's got
- 49:43Speaker 2: to get an eight and four at worst, and I
- 49:46Speaker 2: think nine to three is where he needs to end up,
- 49:48Speaker 2: or they're probably gonna be looking for a football coach.
- 49:51Speaker 2: So and I don't know that Arnold's got the capability
- 49:54Speaker 2: to do that. I really don't. I think this team
- 49:56Speaker 2: has the capability to do it, but I don't know
- 49:58Speaker 2: if Jackson, if Jackson ORM does But I think this
- 50:02Speaker 2: is just like last week. You get all Auburn's got.
- 50:07Speaker 2: The question is is it good enough. We'll find out,
- 50:10Speaker 2: but I'll take three and a half. Give it to
- 50:12Speaker 2: me because I think they do it. I think it's
- 50:14Speaker 2: just like last week. I think they pull it off. Yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 2: I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you I'm doing
- 50:18Speaker 2: an SEC upset, underdog parlay. Gimme Missou, gimme Auburn. I
- 50:24Speaker 2: think we have total chaos in the Southeastern Conference because
- 50:27Speaker 2: I don't think very many teams are very good. I
- 50:30Speaker 2: think we had it wrong. I think Ole, miss Missouri,
- 50:34Speaker 2: Texas ay, and that some of those teams may be
- 50:36Speaker 2: the best three teams in the league. We're gonna find
- 50:38Speaker 2: out by the time it's all said and done. But
- 50:40Speaker 2: I know this, none of the teams we thought were
- 50:42Speaker 2: gonna be great are good enough to distance themselves from
- 50:45Speaker 2: those teams. Give me the points on both those guys.
- 50:48Speaker 2: But I think we get two upsets in the SEC
- 50:50Speaker 2: this week.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I would believe you did one last game. I'll throw
- 50:53Speaker 1: it out there and get out the thay maybe deep
- 50:55Speaker 1: into it. Any of a state's born one against the number.
- 50:57Speaker 1: They're laying seven and a half to traveling to bat
- 50:59Speaker 1: and bad is dead man walking teams only scoring fifteen
- 51:02Speaker 1: points a game. The San Diego State team is nothing
- 51:04Speaker 1: what I thought they were gonna be. But if you're
- 51:06Speaker 1: looking for a get back game in the nine thirty slide,
- 51:09Speaker 1: don't be scared to get you some San Diego State.
- 51:11Speaker 1: So that's my little nugget that you got there, Scotty,
- 51:14Speaker 1: were looking at this board. Here you got your little
- 51:16Speaker 1: SEC underdog money line parlay. I love everything about that.
- 51:21Speaker 1: I got you got anything else for me here?
- 51:23Speaker 2: I don't man, that is that is it. There's some
- 51:26Speaker 2: great games, there's some games I want to watch. Tc
- 51:28Speaker 2: UK State thinks gonna be a great game. Yeah, you
- 51:31Speaker 2: know what I tell you.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Last week Taylor, they should have won that game, and
- 51:38Speaker 1: and so and the other thing I'm looking forward to
- 51:40Speaker 1: in the South Florida game is if you're sitting there
- 51:42Speaker 1: watching Friday Night, you're gonna go, huh Martine Gramatica's kid
- 51:46Speaker 1: kicks for South Florida. That's when you're gonna feel old
- 51:49Speaker 1: when you start watching kickers Kickers kids come to start
- 51:53Speaker 1: playing for these guys, so it should be good. I
- 51:55Speaker 1: maybe play is Texas Tech on Saturday. I think Tech
- 51:58Speaker 1: covers fourteen pretty easy against his Kansas team.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Yeah. I like that line a lot too. I do
- 52:05Speaker 2: think Tech is very, very good. I'm much surprise you.
- 52:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna go out west with my favorite line. I
- 52:10Speaker 2: think USC gets it done on a short number.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I love the fact that you're on the USC train
- 52:17Speaker 1: because I was trying to get you on it last
- 52:19Speaker 1: year and you wouldn't come on ride with me. I mean,
- 52:22Speaker 1: I kept trying to tell you this team's better, and
- 52:25Speaker 1: I think Lincoln Riley man, he's turning the corner out there,
- 52:29Speaker 1: and you don't want to wake a sleeping giant in
- 52:31Speaker 1: the Big Ten. If you get a good LA team
- 52:34Speaker 1: and he can recruit out there, how much fun is
- 52:37Speaker 1: the Big Ten gonna be?
- 52:38Speaker 2: Because before we get off, can I just go ahead
- 52:44Speaker 2: and tell you what the ACC doesn't need is Stanford
- 52:48Speaker 2: billionaires getting pissed off and dropping fifty million dollar checks.
- 52:52Speaker 2: That's what they don't need, because I'm gonna tell you something.
- 52:56Speaker 2: They offered that education with a bunch of cheat and
- 53:00Speaker 2: let me tell you they're gonna be back really good
- 53:03Speaker 2: at football, really fast. And I will tell you, if
- 53:08Speaker 2: I'm the ACC, you better get your kicks in now,
- 53:11Speaker 2: because that money was basically said, this goes strictly to
- 53:14Speaker 2: the football program. No no buildings, you know, no endowment,
- 53:19Speaker 2: no nothing that. And let's fa you get fifty million
- 53:21Speaker 2: to the football team, that's going straight to nil. Is
- 53:24Speaker 2: where that's going. And look, and I'm just telling you
- 53:28Speaker 2: what donors. Texas Tech has experienced this with Cody Campbell.
- 53:31Speaker 2: You get rich guys start writing checks and it pisses
- 53:34Speaker 2: off the other rich guys and they start writing checks. Man,
- 53:37Speaker 2: we may all look up in Stanford's talking around one
- 53:40Speaker 2: hundred million, like we're fixed to get serious, you know,
- 53:43Speaker 2: so I.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Calgarithm. Yeah, wait till the calgarithms in there. I mean
- 53:50Speaker 1: ACC is after travel out west, it would be good.
- 53:54Speaker 1: They don't want that at all.
- 53:55Speaker 2: And people don't realize the sheer volume of nerds that
- 54:01Speaker 2: go to those schools that are uber wealthy, I mean
- 54:06Speaker 2: billionaire wealthy. I mean that the last thing the ACC
- 54:09Speaker 2: needs is cal and Stanford getting serious about NIL and
- 54:13Speaker 2: pumping money into it because they're all gonna be traveling
- 54:16Speaker 2: three and four hours to go get their ass kicked
- 54:19Speaker 2: by a team that's got a bunch of money. And
- 54:21Speaker 2: make no mistake, they got money. And if Stanford starts
- 54:24Speaker 2: pouring money into this deal, they'll make anybody on the
- 54:27Speaker 2: West coast look bad. That's the that's the bottom mine.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Just look at their I mean look at their endowma.
- 54:32Speaker 2: If you got any questions about that, it's a question
- 54:35Speaker 2: of do those boosters want to get serious about sports?
- 54:38Speaker 2: Clearly an ex athlete did writ in a big check yesterday,
- 54:41Speaker 2: so that just I'll leave you with that. Gonna be
- 54:44Speaker 2: a fascinating off season, buddy, It's gonna be a fascinating
- 54:47Speaker 2: off season.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Love, It's gonna be a great Saturday man. A lot
- 54:51Speaker 1: of grut games, but and a lot of hard work.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I love everything about it, folks. Thanks for the download.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Hit us up on Twitter, give us some reviews. We
- 54:57Speaker 1: will be back next week and we love y'all. Doctor
