- 0:47Speaker 2: seconds ago, Uh yeah, you're right to it. I'm as always,
- 0:51Speaker 2: thank you for everyone for all your support so far,
- 0:54Speaker 2: even with me being gone for about a month. Yeah,

- 1:07Speaker 2: I really do appreciate that I do get those updates.
- 1:11Speaker 2: It's mostly weekly, but I haven't said like every other day,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and I do see it. And yeah, it's just been
- 1:16Speaker 2: soon positive overall positive to see that the podcast is
- 1:18Speaker 2: still doing what it's doing. You know, we're not the
- 1:22Speaker 2: Joe Rogan yet. We'll get there someday. But yeah, it's
- 1:25Speaker 2: just nice. It's a good little confidence booster to see that.
- 1:28Speaker 2: But yeah, again as always, Trucks Cantina on your socials.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Trucks Canteena at gmail dot com. Like share, subscribe all
- 1:37Speaker 2: that weird shit you hear on YouTube, Please give us
- 1:39Speaker 2: reviews on Spotify iTunes. All that actually really does help promote,
- 1:46Speaker 2: not be promote, just give exposure to the show. Anyway. Yeah,
- 1:51Speaker 2: let's get to it. So when I am drinking, I
- 1:54Speaker 2: am drinking a still on that what do you call it,
- 1:58Speaker 2: sparkling water seltzer, her kick a drinking a bubble. It'll
- 2:05Speaker 2: be the cherry and it's really good.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I was drinking a blueberry pomegranite a little bit ago.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Not the biggest blueberry guy, not really a big BlackBerry
- 2:17Speaker 3: guy either, But I don't know why last last year
- 2:19Speaker 3: or so. You know, it's like my wife likes to
- 2:20Speaker 3: make fun of like once you turned thirty, you just
- 2:22Speaker 3: you know, you died and got old and sarder and coffee.
- 2:24Speaker 2: But she's right, of course, she's right. She really is
- 2:27Speaker 2: right about that, by the way. And h yeah, I
- 2:29Speaker 2: don't know since I turned it got into my thirties,
- 2:31Speaker 2: since I'm at old man now, really have changed my
- 2:34Speaker 2: palate if you will, So I do enjoy blueberry and blackberries.
- 2:36Speaker 2: But I've been really enjoying just trying different types of
- 2:40Speaker 2: sparkling waters. I couldn't even tell you the name of
- 2:42Speaker 2: this one I had the other day. I think it
- 2:44Speaker 2: was a peach pear something like that. I am not
- 2:46Speaker 2: a fan of peaches, which is not my thing. You know,
- 2:49Speaker 2: if it's there, I'll try one, you know, but it's
- 2:51Speaker 2: not gonna be like I'll bag of graves where it's
- 2:52Speaker 2: like I'll just have a couple and you beating the
- 2:54Speaker 2: whole fucking bag. Yeah. I don't know what it was.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's just really good. But yeah, drinking a bubbly Harry
- 3:00Speaker 2: that is one of my favorite ones. I do love
- 3:03Speaker 2: the Lime Zone. Man, those get me going. I'm not
- 3:07Speaker 2: getting paid to say by saying, zoa, They're coming with
- 3:09Speaker 2: a lemon lime drink. I'm really excited about that. Although
- 3:12Speaker 2: got a little little sides perfected the fun stuff here.
- 3:15Speaker 2: As I've probably heard this show a couple of times,
- 3:17Speaker 2: sometimes I'll do energy drinks during the show as usually
- 3:20Speaker 2: just you know, I always like to have some kind
- 3:22Speaker 2: of drink when I do in the podcast, you know,
- 3:24Speaker 2: keeps the throat a little moste moist, you know, pipe's
- 3:29Speaker 2: flowing good. I can't talk. It's been a minute. Yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 2: let me get the rust off apologize. Anyway, my sister
- 3:37Speaker 2: in law was giving me ship rightfully so by the way,
- 3:40Speaker 2: asking me like, hey, what do you do? What do
- 3:41Speaker 2: you give up for Lents? And I did the really,
- 3:44Speaker 2: uh what's that called? Oh yeah, shitty cheap thing, And
- 3:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna give up soda. You know, I really don't
- 3:49Speaker 2: drink soda like at all, like rarely, like really the
- 3:52Speaker 2: only time I ever drink soda is if i'm at
- 3:53Speaker 2: like I go to McDonald's the drive through because they're
- 3:56Speaker 2: you know, everyone knows, everyone knows what the mcdonald' drinks.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Everyone knows that they're elite or if it happens to
- 4:01Speaker 2: be like a cocktail. And she made a comment, well,
- 4:07Speaker 2: you drink a out of energy drinks And she's not
- 4:09Speaker 2: wrong because there was a shit on the cans and
- 4:10Speaker 2: recycling bent. She's like, why don't you give up that
- 4:13Speaker 2: for Lent? And I did? And I had no weird withdrawals.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I had no desire to keep going back from the
- 4:20Speaker 2: drinking all and since Lent and everything's Wednesday, and then
- 4:26Speaker 2: after Priester, I've only had two no, I took it back.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I've only had one. Right, hold on, let me confirmed.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I don't want to lie to you people, good good people. No, yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 2: I've only had one. And well it's good. It wasn't anything.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, I'm back of the kick.
- 4:43Speaker 2: But yeah, so thanks Bailey for kicking my ass in
- 4:46Speaker 2: that part. All right, let's get to it. So where
- 4:50Speaker 2: have I been? Why was there a month of podcasting
- 4:56Speaker 2: of no podcasts or not a but like a weird
- 5:00Speaker 2: turn off where some were coming out and there was
- 5:02Speaker 2: a weird times and all let's get right to it.
- 5:04Speaker 2: So before I left episode one nine, I had recorded
- 5:08Speaker 2: multiple episodes for the podcast with Me and you wonderful listeners.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Knowing that I was going to Europe to visit my
- 5:16Speaker 2: wife in Germany and had multiple podcasts recorded, it was
- 5:22Speaker 2: good to go on everything, which obviously they came out
- 5:25Speaker 2: through the month of April, right was it April? Let
- 5:28Speaker 2: me let me fact check myself here, hold on, yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 2: be prepared here yep came through the month of April,
- 5:34Speaker 2: last episode being one eighty nine Best slash Worst of WrestleMania,
- 5:38Speaker 2: which show Man, if only we did Wrestlemina slurp review. Well,
- 5:44Speaker 2: don'll give you a short one later anyway. So that
- 5:47Speaker 2: night I left on Friday, March twenty seventh, March twenty six,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I had two podcasts scheduled ready to go, one with
- 5:58Speaker 2: clickity Clack and one with a patron. Actually the og
- 6:01Speaker 2: patron was gonna be that was like a maybe, but
- 6:02Speaker 2: it was gonna be like a short little thing. But
- 6:05Speaker 2: Colocketty Clack was good for two podcasts two as if
- 6:10Speaker 2: you know, if you listen to that podcast, I hate cars.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I've never liked cars. I understand people have. Everyone has
- 6:21Speaker 2: their things they enjoy. Hell person who has yet to
- 6:25Speaker 2: be on this podcast, which I need to get him
- 6:27Speaker 2: on someday. I'm one of my good friends, Devin, you
- 6:29Speaker 2: know people with your mechanic though he's my friend. First
- 6:32Speaker 2: off that he's my mechanic. He loves cars, he loves
- 6:38Speaker 2: working on cars, loves builling cars. He hates cars that
- 6:41Speaker 2: continuous to come back into the shop go oh some
- 6:43Speaker 2: throw out my car. And it's like, if you just
- 6:44Speaker 2: listen to your mechanic, this shit wouldn't happen anyway, because
- 6:46Speaker 2: pace in point, I want that guy one. So twenty
- 6:51Speaker 2: six I supposed to go home and do two podcasts
- 6:56Speaker 2: with clickety clack. I've known for a little bit that
- 6:59Speaker 2: I need to get my tires changed, but they were
- 7:02Speaker 2: in a decent standing where I could wait probably till
- 7:04Speaker 2: I got back. Literally hadn't. And just for those wondering,
- 7:07Speaker 2: I actually had an appointment booked. I had an appointment
- 7:10Speaker 2: book to go get my tires change and everything. Leave
- 7:15Speaker 2: the office on a twenty six and I have a
- 7:18Speaker 2: flat tire. Now, I won't get too much into details
- 7:24Speaker 2: because I didn't want to say anything that can get
- 7:26Speaker 2: me in their own trouble. Well, let's just say, allegedly
- 7:29Speaker 2: a certain provider changed your policy without you knowing, and you're, well,
- 7:35Speaker 2: why didn't you read your policy change? Well, because I
- 7:38Speaker 2: looked through and I was never informed by my policy change.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Probably should have known though, when all of a sudden
- 7:42Speaker 2: the price went from what it was to like I
- 7:44Speaker 2: think it was six fifty seven dollars shorter than what
- 7:46Speaker 2: was like, Oh wow, I thought it was just for
- 7:48Speaker 2: being a good driver. Guess not so. And come to
- 7:50Speaker 2: find out, some other friends of mine who had same
- 7:52Speaker 2: provider also had the same issue. So glad it wasn't
- 7:56Speaker 2: just me anyway, Want story short, Yeah, flat tire really sucks.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Dig it home till like nine o'clock at night. Thanks
- 8:01Speaker 2: to my possime father in law ed Ford, taking care
- 8:04Speaker 2: of that, because yeah, I had to leave the next day,
- 8:06Speaker 2: like I couldn't change my flight plans. I had what
- 8:09Speaker 2: was approved by work, and I had again a plan
- 8:10Speaker 2: to go visit my beautiful wife and my awesome dog,
- 8:12Speaker 2: who are doing well, by the way. So I would
- 8:16Speaker 2: like to this is my apology. I would like to
- 8:18Speaker 2: apologize for some podcasts not coming out that I had discussed.
- 8:24Speaker 2: We just sing out with My Head, which one we
- 8:25Speaker 2: say obviously a wrestle Mania review. What else Daredevil's Slurp,
- 8:33Speaker 2: which we said we're gonna do, we were gonna do
- 8:35Speaker 2: click cock and never gonna do like a Star Wars
- 8:37Speaker 2: buy or sell kind of thing or top five stuff
- 8:39Speaker 2: like that, because I we did one with Wrestling with
- 8:42Speaker 2: OJ Patron that seemed to do actually do pretty well,
- 8:45Speaker 2: so we could do that later on, especially with what
- 8:47Speaker 2: Star Wars are doing right now, which is pretty excited.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So maybe maybe I'll do like a little Minis Slurp
- 8:51Speaker 2: review here, and I'm thinking about it. I'm just going
- 8:52Speaker 2: off the walls here, we're doing it live. Fuck it,
- 8:55Speaker 2: we'll do it live. And uh since and Or and
- 8:59Speaker 2: Star Wars is in a really good spot right now.
- 9:02Speaker 2: But yeah, so it was not the trip. The uh
- 9:08Speaker 2: the day before I left was a shit show. And
- 9:10Speaker 2: if you've listened to this podcast before, you have heard
- 9:12Speaker 2: me say that. When I have excause my father and
- 9:16Speaker 2: still listen to me, you know, like you know, you
- 9:17Speaker 2: always hear like these scenes that your parents always say
- 9:20Speaker 2: happens or to do and you're like, oh, they're stupid,
- 9:23Speaker 2: they're wrong, it's not gonna work. They're usually they're usually right. Uh.
- 9:28Speaker 2: So my father always instilled me that regardless of when
- 9:31Speaker 2: where you're going, every trip always has unfortunately is he
- 9:35Speaker 2: stressed that word unfortunately always has one bad thing happened.
- 9:39Speaker 2: I believe I told this famous story on this podcast
- 9:42Speaker 2: about Broomhilda, where my father and I were going to
- 9:45Speaker 2: the Pro Football Hall of Fame and we stopped at
- 9:48Speaker 2: this place by my old house where my mom lived
- 9:51Speaker 2: as he picked me up and we were driving to
- 9:53Speaker 2: the park where I used to play Pop Warner and
- 9:56Speaker 2: it was ninety I don't never forget it was ninety
- 9:57Speaker 2: five degrees outside the hot pass summer day it was hot,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and we drove up and he had to go to
- 10:03Speaker 2: the bathroom, so we just happened to pull up by
- 10:05Speaker 2: where he played Pop Warner. And the weird thing about
- 10:09Speaker 2: this park, I'm not gonna say, where was the outdoor
- 10:14Speaker 2: I hate the word portagohn like the outdoor bathroom, I
- 10:17Speaker 2: guess if you will. And it's just a port of
- 10:20Speaker 2: John was metal and it was like nailed into the ground,
- 10:26Speaker 2: so weird. It's like a really old old one. And
- 10:28Speaker 2: my father went to go open it and we saw
- 10:31Speaker 2: these two weird guys sitting kind of over yonder well,
- 10:34Speaker 2: i'd say about thirty yards away from there, under the
- 10:36Speaker 2: little gazebo that had a picnic table. I tried to
- 10:39Speaker 2: open the door and went open. So my dad, being
- 10:42Speaker 2: a normal him, he goes, oh, someone's in there. Read
- 10:44Speaker 2: one of the guys came up and ran up on him. No, No,
- 10:46Speaker 2: we're not intimidating, just like, hey, hey, so I'm sorry. Sorry,
- 10:49Speaker 2: was like, why are you saying sorry? This guy opens
- 10:52Speaker 2: the uh, I'll tell the storry here again. The guy
- 10:54Speaker 2: opens the door and there's this older woman in there.
- 10:57Speaker 2: And when I say she is dressed like the woman
- 11:00Speaker 2: from the Princess Diaries, who was dressed in all black
- 11:04Speaker 2: and screaming boo, where she literally has cloaks on cloaks
- 11:07Speaker 2: on cloaks and they're all black. That's an understatement. And
- 11:11Speaker 2: her hair was from her head to her ankles. That
- 11:14Speaker 2: was also in her statement to one of those points
- 11:17Speaker 2: where like in the shows it's so awkward to wear
- 11:19Speaker 2: in the show where like the main character looks at
- 11:21Speaker 2: the camera to look at the audience to go, did
- 11:23Speaker 2: that fucking just happen? That's exactly what my father did.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Never forget. Uh. But before she opened the door, there
- 11:32Speaker 2: were three banes in there, and so that really freaked
- 11:34Speaker 2: out my dad. And then after you did his business
- 11:37Speaker 2: and went out, she ran right back in there. So yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 2: that was Oh god, I feel old saying this. That
- 11:45Speaker 2: was seventeen years ago. Fucked me seventeen years ago. So yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Always it said before every trip or every trip, there's
- 11:54Speaker 2: always one bad thing to happen, so it's best to
- 11:55Speaker 2: get out of the way. So in the case of
- 11:57Speaker 2: that trip, we got out of the way. In the
- 11:59Speaker 2: case of this trip where I wanted to go visit,
- 12:00Speaker 2: my wife got it out of the way right away,
- 12:02Speaker 2: and the trip went smoothly obviously, was in Germany, you know,
- 12:09Speaker 2: just explored Germany. Thankfully, the weather was kind of changed.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Somebody actually got really nice out. Tully's being the goodest
- 12:14Speaker 2: of good boys as usual him be a little shit.
- 12:17Speaker 2: He actually got out of the apartment once. I had
- 12:19Speaker 2: to chase him on the road. Thankfully. He got a
- 12:21Speaker 2: little nervous when the big tram was kind of getting
- 12:23Speaker 2: near and he slowed down, so thank god for that.
- 12:25Speaker 2: But no, he's a good dog. And the reason he
- 12:28Speaker 2: got out because I was laying him out and unfortunately
- 12:30Speaker 2: someone happened to me move with the time and they
- 12:31Speaker 2: left the door open, which they're not supposed to do anyway,
- 12:36Speaker 2: in which they were very apologized for. They actually helped
- 12:39Speaker 2: me try to catch him too, but again, don't chase
- 12:41Speaker 2: and this I learned this. Don't chase a dog you
- 12:44Speaker 2: can never catch. Walk up to him, offer treat off
- 12:47Speaker 2: for kindness and they'll come to you, which he did.
- 12:49Speaker 2: But he's kind of freaked out at first, but he's
- 12:51Speaker 2: a good boy. And miss him dearly. Anyway. Yeah, Germany
- 12:54Speaker 2: was fun and then one thingy I do want to
- 12:56Speaker 2: talk about faith. They'll do like a little mini mini
- 12:58Speaker 2: slurp review on this. My wife I went to Paris.
- 13:04Speaker 2: We were a little I'm not gonna say skeptical, but
- 13:07Speaker 2: little skeptical only because Paris is obviously Paris. It's got
- 13:11Speaker 2: this aura of what Paris is. And we have heard
- 13:16Speaker 2: from some friends of ours who have nothing to say
- 13:19Speaker 2: but good things about the trip. But then we also
- 13:22Speaker 2: have friends who have nothing but bad things to say
- 13:25Speaker 2: about visiting Paris. We've heard from co workers or friends
- 13:30Speaker 2: that like, they're rude if they find out you're American,
- 13:32Speaker 2: they're rude. If you don't speak the language, they're rude
- 13:35Speaker 2: of this. They don't like that. My and I can say,
- 13:40Speaker 2: I can probably say my wife and I did not
- 13:42Speaker 2: have a single issue at all. The worst thing about
- 13:47Speaker 2: our trip to Paris, honestly was two things. One first
- 13:53Speaker 2: part of our trip we stayed literally in the city
- 13:55Speaker 2: of Paris, I believe eleventh whatever that came, what they
- 14:01Speaker 2: call it, stayed there. The worst part about our trip
- 14:06Speaker 2: was our airbnbur Airbaby was actually really nice. It's like
- 14:09Speaker 2: a little apartment fortunately in Europe. If you don't know,
- 14:13Speaker 2: it was six floors up and it was a spiral staircase.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Now you go, what's wrong with what's wrong? Six floor set?
- 14:20Speaker 2: What six floors up staircase? What's wrong with that? Well,
- 14:24Speaker 2: I'm a fat fuck. I mean I'm actually no drug.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Other to the doctor today and got all prewolvingly positive news.
- 14:33Speaker 2: This even better than last year, which is good. But
- 14:35Speaker 2: carrying stuff up six flights of stairs very narrow tight,
- 14:41Speaker 2: not know where the hell you are can be very
- 14:43Speaker 2: exhausting after traveling all day because we took the train system.
- 14:47Speaker 2: By the way, if you ever in Europe and you're
- 14:49Speaker 2: dodding and you're try to flight, should I take the train?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Look at the train option first? For flying? Everyone takes
- 14:57Speaker 2: into account, Oh it's only two our flight, you're not
- 14:59Speaker 2: taking into account hour and a half, two hours before
- 15:01Speaker 2: and after getting out all the time. But the train
- 15:03Speaker 2: that we took from Germany to Paris was just absolutely
- 15:05Speaker 2: flawless perfect. Although let me say this, we're getting a
- 15:08Speaker 2: little nervous because our train was supposed to arrive our train.
- 15:11Speaker 2: This is the funny thing, as you know them about
- 15:13Speaker 2: European transport. That's right, the word transportation. Our train left,
- 15:20Speaker 2: I believe eighteen seventeen minutes earlier. My wife could better
- 15:25Speaker 2: verify this. We left earlier than we're supposed to from Germany,
- 15:29Speaker 2: and yet per our train the truck had going back forward.
- 15:32Speaker 2: It was said, either we're going to arrive on time
- 15:34Speaker 2: as scheduled or later, and we made the exact same stops.
- 15:40Speaker 2: It just made no sense, but it is what it is.
- 15:42Speaker 2: We made all of our trains, thank god, although we
- 15:44Speaker 2: were kind of worried at one point we were thinking,
- 15:46Speaker 2: do we get off of this one train to catch
- 15:48Speaker 2: a train that's actually going to our second our our
- 15:51Speaker 2: set in that second hour, connectioning flight or connecting train,
- 15:56Speaker 2: And thankfully we just stayed the course, we held hold
- 15:59Speaker 2: and it worked. So but yeah, Paris was wonderful. We,
- 16:06Speaker 2: like I said, we had no issues. I just you know,
- 16:12Speaker 2: I think it's also on the things where people just
- 16:14Speaker 2: take the time to read about the culture a little
- 16:15Speaker 2: bit like again, I don't speak a lick of French.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I simply took the time and I read basic like please, mercy,
- 16:23Speaker 2: thank you and all that stuff. And the big one was,
- 16:25Speaker 2: you know, like sorry, do you speak English? And from
- 16:30Speaker 2: when I gathered from my research, simply say, if you
- 16:33Speaker 2: just simply say, which means hello, do you speak English
- 16:37Speaker 2: in a nice way, there won't be a problem. Apparently
- 16:40Speaker 2: the word bonjour and hello over there goes a long way,
- 16:43Speaker 2: and it did. We had no issues. Food phenomenal had
- 16:46Speaker 2: the best laps all my life. You've probably seen that.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Take that trick. Oh you gotta go to home, or
- 16:50Speaker 2: it's really good. It was worth it. It was an
- 16:52Speaker 2: expensive I mean it was very fucking expensive, but it
- 16:55Speaker 2: was well worth every penny. Then we went to go
- 16:58Speaker 2: see let me think, all right, what do we do?
- 17:01Speaker 2: We did the Eiffel Tower with the famous arc. Took
- 17:07Speaker 2: a trip to the Eiffel Tower. I'm gonna say this
- 17:09Speaker 2: right now. I had my doubts thinking it was gonna
- 17:13Speaker 2: be this. I thought, Okay, it's gonna be big, but
- 17:15Speaker 2: it's not gonna be like it's like, oh my god,
- 17:16Speaker 2: it's the Effel Tower. No, it took my breath away. That
- 17:19Speaker 2: thing is a monstrosity in the most positive way I
- 17:22Speaker 2: can say it. I did not expect it to be
- 17:24Speaker 2: that gigantic or that breath taking away. And I'm not
- 17:29Speaker 2: really guying, like I'm not saying I'm not saying I
- 17:30Speaker 2: don't get my breath taken away. Just when it comes
- 17:33Speaker 2: to like architecture anything like that. I don't, but a
- 17:35Speaker 2: few times I've been over to Europe that's definitely done.
- 17:37Speaker 1: That.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Also, as we literally left the Eiffel Tower, it's like,
- 17:42Speaker 2: again if the tourism of Paris, what the name of
- 17:46Speaker 2: the company is called. If you're listening watching, how are
- 17:49Speaker 2: you listening to this podcast? Whoever you hired did well,
- 17:53Speaker 2: don't jouk aside, as we literally left the Eiffel Tower
- 17:56Speaker 2: from the center, we can walk in, just walk around
- 17:57Speaker 2: a little bit. As we literally walked down out, there's
- 18:02Speaker 2: some fencing up, there's some there's always with anything, there's
- 18:05Speaker 2: always construction going on. And we literally watched, we not
- 18:08Speaker 2: even watched. It just happen right next to us. This
- 18:10Speaker 2: guy proposed to his girlfriend right in front of us.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Was like, oh, okay, uh, congratulations, just happened right in
- 18:18Speaker 2: front of us, Like okay, cool, So congrats to them.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Obviously did the arc and then uh, before I get
- 18:27Speaker 2: to the like one of my favorite parts, but there's
- 18:31Speaker 2: or another favorite part of mine. My wife scheduled for
- 18:36Speaker 2: us to go visit the beaches from D Day, visited Omaha,
- 18:42Speaker 2: Utah the cliffs and I don't know why I am
- 18:50Speaker 2: not a history buff, but for some reason, any time
- 18:57Speaker 2: it comes to any type of war the fort and
- 19:00Speaker 2: I stressed the word unfortunately that we have been involved with.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I just get this like huge interest to be like
- 19:06Speaker 2: I need to learn more. I need to go a visit.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I need to do that. And not even just wars
- 19:12Speaker 2: that not even just wars that like not even just
- 19:15Speaker 2: like battles we've involved just like any anything we've been
- 19:18Speaker 2: involved with, any like great part of history. It's like
- 19:20Speaker 2: it's I I have that mindset of like I gotta
- 19:23Speaker 2: see that, Like here's the thing I have no and
- 19:26Speaker 2: if I ever happened to be if I ever happened
- 19:29Speaker 2: to be near it, I would do it. But I
- 19:31Speaker 2: have zero desire to see the Grand Canyon. I think
- 19:35Speaker 2: Joe Rogan said the best. He's like, yeah, Grand Can's cool,
- 19:38Speaker 2: but like look up in the sky like there's stars
- 19:40Speaker 2: and godals what you know what I mean, Like, yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 2: that's just how I always see the prank Cane. Like
- 19:45Speaker 2: like when we went to go visit Auschwitz. It was
- 19:47Speaker 2: a truly life changing experience seeing the absolute worst that
- 19:53Speaker 2: humanity can do, but in a way also can inspire
- 19:58Speaker 2: us to avoid that's just from happening again. Also, you know,
- 20:01Speaker 2: like I said, visiting the beaches was just unreal. Omaha
- 20:05Speaker 2: Beach not gonna lie priest of me in terms of
- 20:08Speaker 2: like it's just a beach.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Now.
- 20:10Speaker 2: There wasn't any bunkers in some of the cliff sides.
- 20:13Speaker 2: You can see the little the little tiny bunkers that
- 20:16Speaker 2: like were maybe like snipers or you know, rifles were
- 20:19Speaker 2: at and there's just two monuments there. And as they said,
- 20:23Speaker 2: like they wanted they fought on this beach that people
- 20:25Speaker 2: could run on it. And I'm like, okay, well that
- 20:27Speaker 2: just hit me in the gut. You Tah Beach was cool,
- 20:30Speaker 2: the cliffs was unreal. And then we my wife and
- 20:33Speaker 2: I were honor to join O respect I won't say
- 20:37Speaker 2: who join uh very nicely. Who actually happened to be
- 20:42Speaker 2: from Chicago too. And don't worry, the pictures are coming soon.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I just gotta get them all sort of through the
- 20:46Speaker 2: card as we took thousands of photos. She was great
- 20:50Speaker 2: enough to let us join her as they do this
- 20:52Speaker 2: very awesome ceremony for any relatives, close relatives rather that
- 20:58Speaker 2: happened to come visit someone who was involved with D
- 21:00Speaker 2: Day or just the major American military graveyard in Normandy.
- 21:06Speaker 2: We were able to participate in the ceremony where essentially
- 21:09Speaker 2: they take the sand from the beach and they kind
- 21:11Speaker 2: of like clean it, give it like a fresh I
- 21:13Speaker 2: came with the exact word that you use, I apologize.
- 21:15Speaker 2: But that was very cool and a one and I'm like, say,
- 21:20Speaker 2: one of the greatest honors ever had just to be
- 21:21Speaker 2: able to witness that, so thinking to that family, the
- 21:25Speaker 2: Kelly family at least, So yeah, that was surreal. Anyway.
- 21:30Speaker 2: So at Paris, yes, so visit the Eiffel Tower, the
- 21:33Speaker 2: Arc had some really awesome food. Visit Notre Dame. My
- 21:37Speaker 2: wife and I'm not gonna we're a little leg There's
- 21:41Speaker 2: a lot of construction going on because it opened over
- 21:43Speaker 2: the fire. It's been over a bent. We're just like, eh,
- 21:45Speaker 2: okay again, not that it was something we didn't want.
- 21:50Speaker 2: It was something we definitely checked off the bucket list
- 21:51Speaker 2: of things we wanted to see, but like, hey, we
- 21:53Speaker 2: did it. You know, they all they all can't be
- 21:56Speaker 2: Theminnium Falcon in Orlando anyway, And then my wife and
- 22:00Speaker 2: I got to go see the Louver and saw some
- 22:05Speaker 2: of the most inspiring, breathtaking, famous pieces of art that
- 22:13Speaker 2: they ever been talked about including the Mona Lisa and
- 22:19Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and
- 22:24Speaker 2: you should be happy with your opinion. Not that opinions
- 22:27Speaker 2: can't be changed yours on time, they've change your opinion,
- 22:29Speaker 2: But if you value something, or if you have an
- 22:32Speaker 2: opinion of something and you don't want to change it,
- 22:34Speaker 2: you are damn right entitled to do that, and don't
- 22:37Speaker 2: let anyone push you that way. That being said, I
- 22:40Speaker 2: always thought the Mona Lisa is overrated, and I stand
- 22:43Speaker 2: by that fucking statement. The way that the Loo the
- 22:51Speaker 2: Live handles people seeing the Mona Lisa, I get why
- 22:58Speaker 2: they do it the way I get the concept. So essentially,
- 23:02Speaker 2: you walk into this little room and you walk into
- 23:05Speaker 2: this room, but it's very close off the Essentially there's
- 23:08Speaker 2: one way in, one way out. They don't want you
- 23:10Speaker 2: going in the way you came or they don't want
- 23:13Speaker 2: Jesus Christ, they don't want you going out the way
- 23:16Speaker 2: you came in. So with that being said, that being said,
- 23:24Speaker 2: you don't like they have these uh what is it
- 23:27Speaker 2: when you're like in an airport and they have like
- 23:29Speaker 2: the Jesus Christ. You're in a line and they have
- 23:32Speaker 2: those blockades the little line things. I can't think of
- 23:35Speaker 2: the word and you eg what I'm saying. So they
- 23:38Speaker 2: have those christ not chained like a fence kind of thing.
- 23:43Speaker 2: They have those, okay, And the weird way they did
- 23:47Speaker 2: it was like you're walking like into a V. Do
- 23:51Speaker 2: you walk into the V and as you get towards
- 23:53Speaker 2: the middle or as you get towards the top the
- 23:56Speaker 2: bottom of the V, because you're walking into the top
- 23:58Speaker 2: bar where it's the most far spread out that sounds
- 24:00Speaker 2: really gross. You're walking into the point to the V
- 24:06Speaker 2: and the problem is very cramped. Nobody's fucking moving. My
- 24:13Speaker 2: wife and I didn't even try. We just happened to
- 24:15Speaker 2: circumstantly just get right in the middle. Escially, the point
- 24:20Speaker 2: is you get to the you get to the tip
- 24:22Speaker 2: of the V, and you can take a photo of
- 24:25Speaker 2: the of the Mona Lisa, take a selfie with it.
- 24:27Speaker 2: But you're still about a good five yards away ten
- 24:32Speaker 2: yards maybe ten yards away from the Mona Lisa, and
- 24:37Speaker 2: people are like pushing, not like physically pushing, but just
- 24:40Speaker 2: like bumping into you. Like I remember, got to the
- 24:42Speaker 2: point where like I literally you know, like I have
- 24:44Speaker 2: my hand or on my wife's back, and or not
- 24:46Speaker 2: even it's like like levitating over her back because like
- 24:49Speaker 2: the second I can like wo getting near her, I
- 24:51Speaker 2: was just like, use my the palm of my hand
- 24:54Speaker 2: or palm, no, the knuckles of my hand anyway in
- 24:57Speaker 2: the back of my hand. Jesus Christ. Sorry, I clearly
- 24:59Speaker 2: need more cough at eight forty five in the evening
- 25:02Speaker 2: and we like send it kind of like block people
- 25:04Speaker 2: from like pushing into her, which unfortunately it wasn't. It
- 25:07Speaker 2: improves less because people from the sides and she were
- 25:08Speaker 2: just jumping in with and something like that to one
- 25:10Speaker 2: point where even something like old lady just like bumped
- 25:12Speaker 2: into me and I'm just like okay, And it wasn't
- 25:16Speaker 2: like oh, like sorry, it was like a full on
- 25:18Speaker 2: like she did like a whole like chest bump like
- 25:21Speaker 2: move sir, but like I didn't move anyway. Take the photo.
- 25:26Speaker 2: We did a selfie with the Mona Lisa, and yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 2: I will say though, like that thing is in case
- 25:33Speaker 2: solid as can be. It's like in a it's like
- 25:36Speaker 2: literally like in a wall behind all these glasses. Like
- 25:40Speaker 2: some of the pictures we took like they turn out
- 25:42Speaker 2: okay because like there's so many lights and reflections and
- 25:45Speaker 2: like you can just see all the shit, but like, hey,
- 25:47Speaker 2: we saw the Mona Lisa, huzza, but no, it before
- 25:56Speaker 2: I get to the other part of our Paris trip,
- 25:58Speaker 2: which with clicking to collects down here to make fun
- 26:01Speaker 2: of me, that kind of gets to hit where it's going.
- 26:04Speaker 2: It truly was a trip that exceeded all of my
- 26:09Speaker 2: expectations and then some to the point where we definitely
- 26:15Speaker 2: are going to go back. But now I'm even looking
- 26:18Speaker 2: more forward to going back because we did the We
- 26:21Speaker 2: didn't do all of the things, but we did the majority.
- 26:23Speaker 2: The big like oh you're there, you gotta go see this,
- 26:26Speaker 2: we did those, Like we did the Eiffel Tower, we
- 26:29Speaker 2: did the Loup, we did the Arc, we did the
- 26:32Speaker 2: Notre Dame Cathedral. Uh. And yeah, it just I have
- 26:39Speaker 2: to give if I could, I had to give the
- 26:41Speaker 2: host to not just our two lovely Airbnb hosts from
- 26:46Speaker 2: both the place we stayed at, just everyone that we met.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Had an interaction with everyone. Everyone was just super lovely
- 26:54Speaker 2: and nice. Like I said, we had we had no
- 26:57Speaker 2: awkward The most awkward Internet if we had any, was
- 27:01Speaker 2: just you know, if you're at a park, it's kind
- 27:03Speaker 2: of well known if you're at a park or anything
- 27:05Speaker 2: like that, people come on trying to sell you stuff,
- 27:06Speaker 2: but you just simply say no, or my case, I
- 27:10Speaker 2: said nine and everyone just left us alone. It was
- 27:14Speaker 2: no problem, no one pushed nothing like that. And yeah,
- 27:20Speaker 2: it was just honestly, it was just lovely. It was
- 27:22Speaker 2: just nice, just relaxed. The one thing that sucked was
- 27:25Speaker 2: it was hot. It was really hot, and there were
- 27:29Speaker 2: some days I was dying. But thankfully my wife is awesome.
- 27:33Speaker 2: It knows ways to like pull me down with like
- 27:35Speaker 2: she's always got just got like towel, water ship. She's awesome. Anyway, Yeah, no,
- 27:43Speaker 2: I definitely look forward to going back because obviously me
- 27:49Speaker 2: being a big guy do loving food, and the food
- 27:51Speaker 2: there was phenomenal, but just the vibes were phenomenal, and uh,
- 27:55Speaker 2: it's just it's just one of those cities where you
- 27:57Speaker 2: go it's like Chicago, like I'm I don't say I'm
- 28:01Speaker 2: from Chicago. Obviously, if it's like you know, like hey,
- 28:03Speaker 2: you're in orlane, like hi, where you guys all from,
- 28:05Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be like I'm from I'm from I'm
- 28:07Speaker 2: from this part in Illinois because everyone's like where the
- 28:10Speaker 2: fuck is that no, you say like, oh, I'm from Chicago,
- 28:12Speaker 2: or like oh you're from You're from Texas. We're in Texas,
- 28:14Speaker 2: I'm from Houston, I'm from San or I'm from fuck
- 28:19Speaker 2: I'm from Dallas. But just some shit like that. But yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 2: it's just every time I have not explored all the
- 28:31Speaker 2: parts of Chicago I want to explore yet, and I
- 28:34Speaker 2: still have this desire to go back. And I have
- 28:36Speaker 2: that same with Paris. Not that I don'n't have, not
- 28:38Speaker 2: that I wouldn't go back to visiting the place that
- 28:40Speaker 2: I have, like Ireland, I definitely want to do Ireland
- 28:42Speaker 2: again or Poland. I just don't really have this desire
- 28:46Speaker 2: to go back and visit crac and Poland. If the
- 28:49Speaker 2: offers there, I would do in a heartbeat. But I
- 28:53Speaker 2: have this huge poll to go visit Paris again, because yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 2: it truly was an amazing But then again, there's other
- 29:01Speaker 2: places to visit beforehand, like Vienna, Rome, Munich, Wisconsin. Not
- 29:12Speaker 2: Green Bay fuck Green Bay kidding, but yeah, so that's
- 29:17Speaker 2: where that is going. So a couple of days after
- 29:20Speaker 2: we did all these scenes, visit the Eiffel Tower, the Louver,
- 29:23Speaker 2: the Notre Dome Cathedral, the Arc I can't say what
- 29:27Speaker 2: kind of arc or what arcause I don't pronounce it.
- 29:30Speaker 2: The famous one, the one everyone goes to visits the
- 29:33Speaker 2: standout at night when the Eiffel Tower lights up. You've
- 29:35Speaker 2: been on the solid media, not what I'm talking about.
- 29:38Speaker 2: So yeah, so that happened. Then my wife and I
- 29:41Speaker 2: took a train ride about forty five minutes east, trying
- 29:46Speaker 2: to think directions east to a tongue called Chessia, France.
- 29:52Speaker 2: And yes, Laden and gentlemen, we did go to Disneyland Paris.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I'm not gonna speak for my wife, but it's one
- 30:04Speaker 2: of those things where we go to Disneyland Paris, and
- 30:08Speaker 2: like she's been to Disneyland, I've only been to world
- 30:15Speaker 2: where you leave and you try before you go, when
- 30:18Speaker 2: you try your damn this not to compare it. But
- 30:21Speaker 2: it's hard whenever you go to any city, especially like us,
- 30:24Speaker 2: when you go ever go to the city, you try
- 30:25Speaker 2: not to compare it to place you've been because like
- 30:27Speaker 2: obviously us we try to compare things like Chicago or
- 30:29Speaker 2: that we live in Milwaukee. We try not to do that,
- 30:32Speaker 2: but sometimes instinct just takes over. We were a little
- 30:38Speaker 2: hesitant at first with like like like like like like
- 30:41Speaker 2: like what's let me say, like how we feel about
- 30:42Speaker 2: like it after we left, because it's definitely a lot smaller,
- 30:47Speaker 2: but as we did, because we did our research where
- 30:48Speaker 2: we left and it's definitely like a lot of like
- 30:52Speaker 2: we met, like I think I made the kind I
- 30:53Speaker 2: was like, well, I can see why they hate us,
- 30:55Speaker 2: because it seems like they literally just like, hey, let's
- 30:57Speaker 2: just take this theme park and put it American theme park.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Let me phrase that, and just put it right smack
- 31:02Speaker 2: dab in the middle of this little town in pair
- 31:03Speaker 2: or France. Some rides were different, but they're the exact
- 31:09Speaker 2: same thing and everything like that. And as we have
- 31:15Speaker 2: left and we've let the dust settle, we've gotten more
- 31:18Speaker 2: thing about We actually really did appreciate it. We actually
- 31:19Speaker 2: had a really good time. There are two parks there
- 31:24Speaker 2: and uh yeah, it was honestly a really good time.
- 31:29Speaker 2: It was just really hot. The Space Mountain there, Star
- 31:31Speaker 2: Wars team, it's incredible. My one complaint again, it's just
- 31:34Speaker 2: I'm not a big guy. I'm not a big fan
- 31:36Speaker 2: of and I get why they do it. It's a
- 31:38Speaker 2: money thing of roller coasters that used just screens with
- 31:42Speaker 2: videos on them. I get it. That's the way some
- 31:46Speaker 2: of these teams are going. I tend to just you
- 31:49Speaker 2: don't have to do If you look at Rise of Resistance,
- 31:51Speaker 2: for example, and we're doing a Disney broadcast, again, that's
- 31:54Speaker 2: a ride where you don't need to have any screens
- 31:59Speaker 2: unless something is wrong with the animatronics, which is a
- 32:02Speaker 2: good way to do it. Which is a good counter argument.
- 32:06Speaker 2: You don't need to use screens unless someone's on the
- 32:08Speaker 2: animatronics and that ride had it, or that ride just
- 32:12Speaker 2: had screens. But it was a lot of fun. It
- 32:13Speaker 2: was super fucking past too. But yeah, it was just cool.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Like I mean, everyone knows listening to this podcast, every park,
- 32:26Speaker 2: every park other than Magic Kingdom, you're allowed to essentially
- 32:29Speaker 2: have a drink and walk around with it. Magic you
- 32:31Speaker 2: cannot least to my not don't think there's don't think
- 32:33Speaker 2: there's any place that sells alcohol. Is like a walk around.
- 32:36Speaker 2: And my wife and I got to share glass of
- 32:38Speaker 2: champagne outside the Disney Castle in Paris and watch the
- 32:42Speaker 2: firework drone show, which was incredible. I also got to
- 32:44Speaker 2: see the dragon animatronic, which is like the one She's like,
- 32:47Speaker 2: that's the thing you're most excited About'm like, yeah, duh,
- 32:49Speaker 2: like this dragon animatronics under the castle, which is fucking gigantic. Anyway,
- 32:53Speaker 2: it was great and awesome and really fucking cool. So yeah,
- 33:00Speaker 2: I have one thing I wish we could have done.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I wish we could have gone up Pirates again. And
- 33:02Speaker 2: my wife fether want to go back on it. We
- 33:03Speaker 2: just forchu the lost track of time and the way
- 33:06Speaker 2: they do it, the way that I said, it's really
- 33:08Speaker 2: like parks. I'm not gonna say it's small, but essentially
- 33:11Speaker 2: like they like they short, they like squeeze it into
- 33:15Speaker 2: a ball essentially they try to. Essentially, yeah, they try to.
- 33:18Speaker 2: It's like trying to squeeze. You're go on a trip
- 33:21Speaker 2: and you're squeezing one too many clothes into a suitcase.
- 33:24Speaker 2: That's what they try to do. They're trying to squeze
- 33:25Speaker 2: much as it couldn't little suitcase, and some of it
- 33:28Speaker 2: just wasn't coming out, but they got it in there somehow.
- 33:31Speaker 2: And yeah, so like as like the night goes on
- 33:33Speaker 2: and there's the park gets closer to the fireworks show,
- 33:36Speaker 2: they closed some of the actually rides behind the castle,
- 33:38Speaker 2: which was a little weird, but again that's just that's
- 33:40Speaker 2: how they clear people out. That's their way to do it. Yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 2: I wish we could have gone. Is that Pirates was
- 33:46Speaker 2: actually really cool? Uh oh, not afraid to say this.
- 33:48Speaker 2: The Indiana Jones ride there sucks. Gonna say that right now.
- 33:52Speaker 2: You know, you know we got off and my wife
- 33:55Speaker 2: and I are not ones to go. That ride sucks.
- 33:57Speaker 2: We try to find it because we're too positive. Mother,
- 34:01Speaker 2: that ride sucked. Never forget. We did a couple of rides.
- 34:06Speaker 2: We did Single Writer because we haven't been here before.
- 34:09Speaker 2: We didn't get fast passed because I read the terms
- 34:14Speaker 2: of conditions wrong. That was on me. I didn't buy him,
- 34:16Speaker 2: but I was going to. But then the day of
- 34:18Speaker 2: it's like, oh, instead of the usual seventy five, now
- 34:21Speaker 2: it's three hundred dollars. That's a fact. Excuse me, I
- 34:25Speaker 2: actually it's almost found dollars with tax. So get single
- 34:29Speaker 2: Writer line. We do. Indiana Jones goes around the thing
- 34:32Speaker 2: once and the guy is sitting next to he's talking
- 34:36Speaker 2: to his family in French, and he looks at me
- 34:38Speaker 2: and he goes American and go yes, sir, and he
- 34:40Speaker 2: goes this really sucked in it, and I'm like, yeah,
- 34:44Speaker 2: it did. He goes all right, Gray, It wasn't just
- 34:45Speaker 2: I'm glad it wasn't just me, so yeah, but anything
- 34:52Speaker 2: that sucked more than when my wife and I she
- 34:55Speaker 2: like pushed me to go take pictures of Jafar to
- 34:57Speaker 2: then start. I told our time because I'm just like
- 34:59Speaker 2: I don't want to take phones far like no, you
- 35:00Speaker 2: do it for your mom, like fine, and took with
- 35:02Speaker 2: Jafar as he was being weird, Thanks babe, but yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 2: fuck you Jafar anyway. Yeah, so no, that was a
- 35:14Speaker 2: great time. And then the fireworks show was spectacular, just
- 35:18Speaker 2: you know, it was just it was just nice, like
- 35:19Speaker 2: those little nice things to be nice. And here's like
- 35:21Speaker 2: where we sat, like no one tried to push us,
- 35:24Speaker 2: no one like bothered us anything like that. Like the
- 35:26Speaker 2: place is packed, but like everyone was at least in
- 35:28Speaker 2: our area, was respectful of their own space. Got to
- 35:32Speaker 2: have a glass of champagne with my wife as the
- 35:34Speaker 2: fireworks are going on, Like what I think that man?
- 35:36Speaker 2: Come on now, I'm mean get married there from one
- 35:41Speaker 2: the funck was that sorry, I might catch me then
- 35:45Speaker 2: are about to get hit? So yeah, and then we
- 35:50Speaker 2: went to the other park. Essentially it's like they have
- 35:54Speaker 2: like their version of Magic came in the Hoighwood Studios there.
- 35:56Speaker 2: The one thing that talked about the I believe it's
- 35:58Speaker 2: called Adventure. They're changing the name again. I can't remember
- 36:02Speaker 2: what was called. I think I think it's just right
- 36:04Speaker 2: nowt with Disney Studios, and they're changing the name of
- 36:07Speaker 2: it to something else here shortly because they're building more
- 36:09Speaker 2: stuff there. So we were reading stuff online and as
- 36:13Speaker 2: we went in and said essentially this main lobby thing was
- 36:15Speaker 2: supposed to open essentially the like a week or two
- 36:18Speaker 2: before we got there. We got there, it was close.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Of course, we leave and a week later it opened.
- 36:22Speaker 2: So it didn't open right when we left, but it
- 36:24Speaker 2: opened not too long after we left. That was a nine. Yeah,
- 36:29Speaker 2: it was cool. We got to Avengers Campus. The Hollywood
- 36:33Speaker 2: Tower of Terror ride there is amazing, super insane. The
- 36:37Speaker 2: Cronk Ride is the ride everyone waits the longest four
- 36:41Speaker 2: one point. It was a three hour way time. We
- 36:43Speaker 2: didn't do that. We actually got in towards the end
- 36:46Speaker 2: of the night where it was about an hour or
- 36:48Speaker 2: so wait, and it wasn't bad. I thought that was
- 36:49Speaker 2: all right. I just didn't think it was worth The
- 36:53Speaker 2: Well's Rider was like, okay, it's Wales ridser. You go, Okay,
- 36:56Speaker 2: that was cool, but I don't know if it was
- 36:58Speaker 2: that cool. Yeah, it was just a really good time.
- 37:05Speaker 2: The other worst part, which I other than the stairs,
- 37:07Speaker 2: was we went to five Guys. My wife's gonna laugh
- 37:10Speaker 2: here I'm telling this story. So we left the park,
- 37:14Speaker 2: and of course everyone loves a park. Everyone's hunger to
- 37:16Speaker 2: try and get some food to take back to your
- 37:17Speaker 2: hotel room or anything like that. So first we went
- 37:20Speaker 2: to McDonald's and the way, of course, what's like, well, yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 2: the park just closed. The wait's gonna be insane. Then
- 37:25Speaker 2: we went to this restaurant that is in their vision
- 37:28Speaker 2: of Dizzy Springs, which is a restaurant just only there.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Looked at the menu and I was like, I'm just
- 37:32Speaker 2: I'm not really feeling it. That was our mistake, or no,
- 37:36Speaker 2: that was my mistake because we have the five guys.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I don't mind five guys. Sorry, shag Zilla. I'm saying
- 37:44Speaker 2: the things about so saying here, I think the prices
- 37:46Speaker 2: they have are insane. But when you're hungry, you're hungry,
- 37:49Speaker 2: and we ordered our food. We ordered our food. We
- 37:59Speaker 2: ordered it. And there's there's why I remember this time,
- 38:01Speaker 2: we were at their food at ten oh seven pm. Okay, fries, burger.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Let's that pretty simple. First reflect should have been says
- 38:13Speaker 2: your food or ten oh seven will be ready by
- 38:15Speaker 2: ten o'clock. Well, first off, that's not possible. Let's have
- 38:19Speaker 2: been ten o'clock the next day, which I kind of did.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Long story short, the ticketing system at this location just
- 38:26Speaker 2: was not great. Essentially, it was like whatever ticket came out,
- 38:29Speaker 2: they would put that ticket on top when tickets on
- 38:32Speaker 2: the bottom were not being fulfilled. Long story short, waited
- 38:36Speaker 2: an hour twenty minutes for food and it was awful
- 38:44Speaker 2: because not the people there. I gotta give them credit,
- 38:47Speaker 2: they were being harassed, hassled. Literally, it's the point where
- 38:52Speaker 2: it's like it's like, is this like a is this
- 38:53Speaker 2: like a video? It's gonna end up on TikTok like
- 38:55Speaker 2: oh as whole Americans. It's like no, it's like English, French,
- 38:59Speaker 2: all different walks of life or just yell on these
- 39:01Speaker 2: workers and they're just doing what they're just doing what
- 39:04Speaker 2: they're training to do. They're just making food and that's it.
- 39:08Speaker 2: And what happened when I respectfully asked them, like, hey,
- 39:11Speaker 2: can I just get a check on this or, and
- 39:12Speaker 2: I said, we've been weighing this lawn. They found my ticket,
- 39:15Speaker 2: they moved it up and it's at a way another
- 39:17Speaker 2: forty minutes way in our twenty which is my only
- 39:19Speaker 2: wait an hour. So I had to give them props.
- 39:20Speaker 2: They were great kind doing with a lot of shit.
- 39:25Speaker 2: It just sucked because it's like we probably we wanted
- 39:28Speaker 2: that one restaurant. We were gone to tailor right away,
- 39:32Speaker 2: and we probably would have been home sleep by time
- 39:34Speaker 2: we got our food. So there was the other shitty park.
- 39:40Speaker 2: But yes, it was truly a trip I will never forget.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I don't forget any of our trips like you always
- 39:48Speaker 2: had those like one trips, like oh my god, Like
- 39:50Speaker 2: this trip was just it was just like I'll never
- 39:53Speaker 2: forget my wedding trip. I'll never forget this most recent
- 39:56Speaker 2: trip that my wife and I took down there too,
- 39:58Speaker 2: in the Disney, where she ran them h five K
- 40:02Speaker 2: ten k half full, all in four days, and because
- 40:05Speaker 2: we also bought our dog with I'll never forget that trip.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I'll never forget to like having to be there by
- 40:12Speaker 2: myself for a day because she left the Germany and
- 40:14Speaker 2: her parents drove back home because they wanted to avoid
- 40:16Speaker 2: the rightfully so the National Championship College football traffic because
- 40:20Speaker 2: they had to drive through Atlanta, which was the right
- 40:23Speaker 2: to call for them to make. And then I had
- 40:26Speaker 2: dinner by myself at Disney's Brains, and again just Disney
- 40:29Speaker 2: people being good, plenty of poo came by and said, hey,
- 40:31Speaker 2: how you doing. You're okay? I am good. So No,
- 40:37Speaker 2: it truly was an amazing trip. I always encourage people
- 40:40Speaker 2: to travel. I've always been. It's so secret. I'm more
- 40:42Speaker 2: of the home by than my wife. But I am
- 40:45Speaker 2: trying to get on my shell more to go visit
- 40:46Speaker 2: places and stuff like that. And uh, like, I mean
- 40:50Speaker 2: you probably heard about I mean obviously, who can forget
- 40:52Speaker 2: this podcast where it's about the fucking Hail Mary thanks
- 40:56Speaker 2: to jackasses. But like me and my friends are playing
- 41:02Speaker 2: to doing our football trip this upcoming season. Hopefully if
- 41:04Speaker 2: it's in the cards. It was in the cards. No, yeah, people,
- 41:08Speaker 2: I am doing. We gotta stop doing this whole it'll happen.
- 41:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna do. It's gonna happen. No, it's happening. We're
- 41:15Speaker 2: doing the ship. Not when it's not a matter of if,
- 41:19Speaker 2: it's a matter of how which is a matter of
- 41:21Speaker 2: when it's gonna happen. Okay, I'm guilty of that too.
- 41:24Speaker 2: We gotta stop doing that. Oh, I mean it might
- 41:27Speaker 2: be no, No, we're doing the ship. Okay. When my
- 41:30Speaker 2: wife got as cool as she is, got me a
- 41:34Speaker 2: steam deck for Christmas, all right, worked her, asked off
- 41:38Speaker 2: for it, got me a steam deck, ordered it. We're
- 41:40Speaker 2: getting a little close to crunchhime, and she said, I
- 41:43Speaker 2: got you this gift, so when you come visit me
- 41:45Speaker 2: in Europe, you have your PC. Essentially, that's because she's
- 41:50Speaker 2: a good woman loads me and we're getting close to
- 41:54Speaker 2: the we're getting close to living for Christmas to go
- 41:56Speaker 2: to Europe or she had to go back to Europe
- 41:58Speaker 2: for work and I'm going there to work for all
- 42:00Speaker 2: so to visit her for Christmas, moother the holidays. Literally
- 42:05Speaker 2: kept saying it's gonna be here before we get on
- 42:07Speaker 2: the plane. Literally we're walking out the fucking door to
- 42:12Speaker 2: go to the airport, and it showed up. Got to
- 42:17Speaker 2: assume positive intent and that shit's gonna happen. You gotta
- 42:20Speaker 2: do it. Like for example, I am going to kick
- 42:22Speaker 2: acid voice acting and podcasting. Yeah, I've said before I
- 42:24Speaker 2: am pursuing voice acting up, so working my job. You know,
- 42:29Speaker 2: I paid the bills. But yeah, that's question I have.
- 42:33Speaker 2: That's something I've always had, not even just interest in,
- 42:37Speaker 2: just this desire to chase and I'm finally saying fuck
- 42:42Speaker 2: it and I'm going for it. So yeah, see two
- 42:46Speaker 2: for that or st reach out the trucks Cantina if
- 42:48Speaker 2: you want to, you know, book me. You know, let's
- 42:51Speaker 2: talk please. I can do voices. If you listen to
- 42:54Speaker 2: the show, you know I can do voices. You know,
- 42:56Speaker 2: I can just talk my ass off too. Here we
- 42:58Speaker 2: are forty five minutes later. I didn't do any No,
- 43:00Speaker 2: it's no prolog or anything. I don't really do a
- 43:02Speaker 2: sorerperview about and or but find as Episode'm like, you
- 43:04Speaker 2: know what, No, that's that deserves its own thingcause Star
- 43:06Speaker 2: Wars is kicking ass right now. Star Wars is good.
- 43:08Speaker 2: That's called marketing because Star Wars doing so good right now,
- 43:11Speaker 2: you do a full Star Wars thing, because they're just
- 43:14Speaker 2: going to drive your numbers because it was like, oh
- 43:15Speaker 2: my god, Star Wars is hunt right now, let's look
- 43:17Speaker 2: into this podcast anyway. So yeah, no, I would definitely
- 43:23Speaker 2: encourage anyone who just even you know, just because it's
- 43:27Speaker 2: travel could be anything. You could be traveling from Chicago
- 43:31Speaker 2: to Berlin or simply as simple as traveling from Chicago
- 43:35Speaker 2: to Rockford, Illinois. Don't do that, but just expand your horizons,
- 43:42Speaker 2: expand your interests, expand your own story. You know, if
- 43:48Speaker 2: you listen to the podcast last year or I mean
- 43:50Speaker 2: og og page and I talked about planning, and hell
- 43:53Speaker 2: my wife and came on to talk about it too.
- 43:54Speaker 2: At one point, you know, the big thing was finish
- 43:57Speaker 2: your story. No, don't, don't finish your story. Keep writing
- 44:01Speaker 2: that ship. Why not keep writing? And who knows what
- 44:08Speaker 2: adventures you're gonna have. There's gonna be good parts, there's
- 44:10Speaker 2: gonna be bad parts, there's be great parts, and there's
- 44:12Speaker 2: even awesome parts that because you overcame those bad parts.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Keep fucking going. Oh man, I'm fucking monologue in here.
- 44:21Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, so i'mma stop rambling on because
- 44:24Speaker 2: any get this episode out. It's ten o'clock now, quick
- 44:29Speaker 2: little tidbits here of things. So yeah, I'm not doing
- 44:32Speaker 2: a slip review of and Or yet. I'll probably have
- 44:34Speaker 2: that will come up next week. Regarding the podcast, Yeah,
- 44:39Speaker 2: it's not going anywhere again, I apologize for the delay.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I really appreciate the support while I've been gone. It's
- 44:44Speaker 2: meant a lot. You know. I just checked the emails
- 44:46Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, hey, so podcast is still doing.
- 44:49Speaker 2: So I really do appreciate that. Again, I do apologize,
- 44:51Speaker 2: but yeah, so pack up. A lot of the podcasts
- 44:57Speaker 2: will still be going and ship. We'll do a slip
- 45:01Speaker 2: review for and Or. Obviously there's a lot of big
- 45:07Speaker 2: movies coming out, especially in July. God, it's gonna be
- 45:12Speaker 2: fucking expensive. Dad, if you're listening, we're going one of
- 45:16Speaker 2: those fucking three. I don't care what gotta do. I
- 45:18Speaker 2: love my father. He's been to a movie theater twenty
- 45:20Speaker 2: two years.
- 45:21Speaker 4: Last movie he saw in a movie theater The Lord
- 45:24Speaker 4: of the Rains Returned the King. I know I've told
- 45:26Speaker 4: the story, but I love telling it. There's a reason
- 45:29Speaker 4: that the movie clerks they joke about the fifteen fucking
- 45:32Speaker 4: endings at the end because they faded blake like they blake.
- 45:36Speaker 4: They fade to black.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Like fifteen fucking times, to the point where my dad
- 45:41Speaker 2: that he goes, what the fuck under his brother? They
- 45:45Speaker 2: want to be with the other patron in there. So yeah,
- 45:51Speaker 2: So we'll be doing slip review for and or here
- 45:53Speaker 2: in the coming weeks. I'll give you my quick little
- 45:58Speaker 2: slurp review for the following here. Uh, Daredevil on Disney Plus.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I enjoyed it. I don't know why a lot of
- 46:12Speaker 2: my friends really liked a lot of nothing that they
- 46:14Speaker 2: don't there's anything wrong with them, Like ne I just
- 46:17Speaker 2: wasn't as big of a fan as the ending, only
- 46:19Speaker 2: because it's like it's one of if anything, it's one
- 46:21Speaker 2: of those things where it's like, look, I want the resolution.
- 46:24Speaker 2: I'm a patient guy. I want the resolution, or like
- 46:26Speaker 2: I want the resolve now, because I just felt like
- 46:28Speaker 2: there were so many things where it's like it's feel
- 46:32Speaker 2: like some parts were missing. I do appreciate, like, for example,
- 46:36Speaker 2: like Daredevil and Fisk never touched, They never touched, they
- 46:39Speaker 2: never fought each other other than like little like you
- 46:41Speaker 2: like a little scrimmas. Nothing more. It's like, all right, right,
- 46:43Speaker 2: here's the fight scene between Doc Coc and Spider Man,
- 46:46Speaker 2: because this is Spider Man too, and Doc Coc is
- 46:47Speaker 2: the villain. Now go nothing like that. Regarding Daredevil, I
- 46:51Speaker 2: will just give it because the acting and like the
- 46:54Speaker 2: plot was just phenomenal, Like it's almost like literally like
- 46:57Speaker 2: almost like Sopranos, which is fucking hilarious because Gandolfini's son
- 47:02Speaker 2: is in the show. Even though based on when I said,
- 47:06Speaker 2: it doesn't sell like I should get this, but I'm
- 47:08Speaker 2: gonna get it seven out of ten. It's just I
- 47:15Speaker 2: don't know what it was something For some parts of it,
- 47:17Speaker 2: I was just like, this is amazing. Parts of it
- 47:19Speaker 2: just wasn't hading from me, which again it's my opinion
- 47:22Speaker 2: all the time, to our own opinion. WrestleMania forty one,
- 47:31Speaker 2: I did not stay up to watch them. I went
- 47:35Speaker 2: to sleep, and then I woke up and try my
- 47:37Speaker 2: best to avoid spoilers, which thankfully for night one I did.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Night two I was not so lucky. The problem with
- 47:45Speaker 2: the WrestleMania two night event is, and speaking the wrestle
- 47:50Speaker 2: I'll get this other thing here in a second, is
- 47:52Speaker 2: it seems like this has been the thing that's a
- 47:53Speaker 2: concurrent thing ever since I gone to the two nights.
- 47:57Speaker 2: You'll have a whole night that is a slam dunk
- 48:00Speaker 2: awesome show, and then the main goes on and it
- 48:03Speaker 2: kind of kills the mood or vice versa where the
- 48:07Speaker 2: show is eh. But then the main event saves the day,
- 48:11Speaker 2: which is usually between the two, you would usually want
- 48:14Speaker 2: the ladder. I'm not getting into the whole storyline that
- 48:20Speaker 2: we talked about with seeing it turning hail and all
- 48:22Speaker 2: that stuff. I think, if you're a wrestling fan, it's
- 48:24Speaker 2: been said to death. Should the Rock have been there? Yes?
- 48:28Speaker 2: Do I think what was said. I'm not saying he's
- 48:30Speaker 2: full of shit, but someone I think there's a lot
- 48:33Speaker 2: of people who have their you know, everyone, we've all
- 48:35Speaker 2: heard it. There's their side of the story, that side
- 48:38Speaker 2: of the story, and in the real side of the story.
- 48:40Speaker 2: And I think just a lot of people who have
- 48:42Speaker 2: a lot of power got their wires crossed with the
- 48:46Speaker 2: other people and so they just got miscommunicated or fucked
- 48:49Speaker 2: over because there is zero reason he should not have
- 48:52Speaker 2: been there, but he wasn't there, and that's it is
- 48:56Speaker 2: what it is. You can't get over, but you can't
- 48:58Speaker 2: get mad about the booking, or you can get about
- 49:00Speaker 2: the booking, but it's like, hey, that's what was booked.
- 49:03Speaker 2: We can bitch about it. So hope nothing like that
- 49:05Speaker 2: happens again. I'm gonna give Mania forty one, give it
- 49:15Speaker 2: a six is thirty nine, No I'm gonna give it
- 49:20Speaker 2: a six out of ten. In terms of the last
- 49:23Speaker 2: three manias, I would put it at the bottom of
- 49:32Speaker 2: the three only, and that's because that's those are the
- 49:34Speaker 2: ones I've been since Vince left or fully ran phrase that,
- 49:43Speaker 2: and I'm not saying they sucked. There have been some
- 49:45Speaker 2: God off for WrestleMania's. Lord knows that. God knows. I
- 49:48Speaker 2: know that if you listen to the best of the
- 49:52Speaker 2: worst of WrestleMania, you know, I talk about like what
- 49:55Speaker 2: my favorite Wrestlemanium thing is and my worst because they're
- 49:58Speaker 2: both the same. And that's the fact of what wrestleming
- 49:59Speaker 2: tent who was supposed to be and what it ended
- 50:03Speaker 2: up being. Like, I don't regret it. I saw a
- 50:05Speaker 2: great time. But it's like when you hear like, oh
- 50:06Speaker 2: you'd supposed to it's like, oh, well shit anyway, So yeah,
- 50:12Speaker 2: six that tent for me. You have forty one before
- 50:15Speaker 2: I get out here, So yeah, store bandor review will
- 50:18Speaker 2: be coming out soon or stories more fun shit. Obviously,
- 50:23Speaker 2: I'll be talking about my voice acting adventures here coming up.
- 50:26Speaker 2: I'm really excited about that. Not paying me or anything,
- 50:29Speaker 2: but thanks to Chris Carr and everyone from Speaker Friends Studio.
- 50:31Speaker 2: They've been very kind and gracious, so let I mean,
- 50:34Speaker 2: keep me updates on future horses and stuff like that
- 50:36Speaker 2: coming up. I took the intro one with them, and
- 50:40Speaker 2: Pandora's box is open man. So yeah, But going back
- 50:47Speaker 2: to Mania, so obviously we talked about in here the
- 50:50Speaker 2: whole with Johnson, the Hill Turn thing, and how that
- 50:52Speaker 2: started with the Rock saying Russell me is New Orleans
- 50:54Speaker 2: because it was a New Orleans and then the whole
- 50:56Speaker 2: your Soul, which is freaking weird anyway. So yeah, if
- 50:59Speaker 2: you read a news by now, WrestleMania is no longer
- 51:01Speaker 2: New Orleans next year, even though they already announced it.
- 51:05Speaker 2: But then they say, no, it's not there anymore. Well, correction,
- 51:08Speaker 2: they didn't announce it. The City of New Orleans, the
- 51:11Speaker 2: Louisiana Sports Foundation, Federation, pal, whatever the fuck it was
- 51:16Speaker 2: they announced it, and the word is the rumor is
- 51:21Speaker 2: they're going back to Vegas. M here's the shitty part
- 51:29Speaker 2: about this. There's a guy from the Professionals two podcast
- 51:32Speaker 2: named Joey Numba says, what the fuck do you expect?
- 51:37Speaker 2: It is a business they made. You've heard the term
- 51:42Speaker 2: hand over fist, the money. They made so much money
- 51:49Speaker 2: they were having to hold cash with your toes and
- 51:53Speaker 2: that wasn't enough. They broke every record they have. Despite
- 51:57Speaker 2: the insane and very rightfully so much criticized ticket prices,
- 52:04Speaker 2: excuse me, very much rightfully still criticized ticket prices, they
- 52:09Speaker 2: still made all the money. They made all the money
- 52:12Speaker 2: from all the conventions, they made all the money from
- 52:14Speaker 2: all the other sides. Shit they do Hell, they did it.
- 52:16Speaker 2: They did a roast with Tony Hinchcliff, which part of
- 52:20Speaker 2: it actually I think most of it leaked online. But
- 52:24Speaker 2: they still sold tickets and people went, not gonna lie.
- 52:27Speaker 2: If I happened to be there, I would have gone
- 52:29Speaker 2: the mania and I would have fund a way to
- 52:30Speaker 2: go to the ticket for the roast. That's it's just like, oh,
- 52:33Speaker 2: it's a no brainer. They made a fuck ton of money.
- 52:38Speaker 2: And if Vegas is saying we want you to come
- 52:40Speaker 2: back and do this again, that's exactly what they're going
- 52:42Speaker 2: to do. Because no disrespect to the great city of
- 52:46Speaker 2: New Orleans, which is a town I very much want
- 52:50Speaker 2: to go visit, It's just not Las Vegas. When it
- 52:53Speaker 2: comes to money, it's just not Las Vegas. It's not
- 52:56Speaker 2: and it's a it's a shame because I'm not one
- 52:58Speaker 2: of these guys who wants a WrestleMania to stay in
- 53:02Speaker 2: the same place every year. Hell, I want to go
- 53:04Speaker 2: in Chicago, but I know it's not happening until we
- 53:08Speaker 2: get our new stadium. I know that for a fact.
- 53:10Speaker 2: It's the reason why WrestleMania and wrestling Chicago hasn't happened
- 53:13Speaker 2: since twenty two, which is the last arena WrestleMania. It is.
- 53:19Speaker 2: I was thinkful. I'm thankful enough to be in Latin.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I mean, God for bils loss wrestling or something else,
- 53:24Speaker 2: even worse takes a gigantic die. Hopefully you know, doesn't happen.
- 53:28Speaker 2: But I was in the last arena WrestleMania. Ever since then,
- 53:33Speaker 2: they've been in stadiums. Actually, this next year will be
- 53:36Speaker 2: twenty years. God, that sucks. It'll be twenty years since
- 53:40Speaker 2: the last arena WrestleMania. And then I can't blame them
- 53:45Speaker 2: when they're making that much money, they're on that many tickets,
- 53:47Speaker 2: Why the fuck not? So do I hope it's in
- 53:50Speaker 2: Vegas next year? No, but I know it's probably going
- 53:53Speaker 2: to be. I hope that people can go with tickets.
- 54:02Speaker 2: I think people learn their lesson not saying I mean
- 54:04Speaker 2: like everyone, because like I mean, there were reports saying
- 54:06Speaker 2: that like tickets were being sold for under phase value
- 54:11Speaker 2: the day of the show because people because they were
- 54:13Speaker 2: trying to oversell them, because that's what that's what scalpers
- 54:15Speaker 2: and third party so it's what they do. It's I
- 54:16Speaker 2: do the pay the bills. But it just sucks for
- 54:19Speaker 2: the everyday guy like you and me or lady. I apologize,
- 54:24Speaker 2: but yeah, so I hope it's not true, but it's
- 54:28Speaker 2: probably true. It's probably gonna happen, and I hope everyone
- 54:30Speaker 2: who wants to go gets a chance to go. And
- 54:31Speaker 2: I said that before. I if you're a wrestling fan,
- 54:35Speaker 2: it everyone's on tie of their own bucket list. But
- 54:39Speaker 2: like I think, if you're a wrestling fan, the number
- 54:41Speaker 2: one hang list has to be too. It's just go
- 54:42Speaker 2: to one wrestling. Yeah it again, it was an arena one,
- 54:46Speaker 2: but like just the vibe, the aura, the whole nuance
- 54:52Speaker 2: of it just feels different. I've been to shows that
- 54:54Speaker 2: I can save here, I have enjoyed way more than that,
- 54:58Speaker 2: But just the feeling I had that day, I can't
- 55:01Speaker 2: describe it. I really can't. And we were in the
- 55:04Speaker 2: parking lot, and I don't know why we were in
- 55:06Speaker 2: the parking lot. We're in the parking lot at nine
- 55:08Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning. I love my brother death, but
- 55:10Speaker 2: even you know, he's not the he's not the he's
- 55:12Speaker 2: not really a big fan of the ship. And he's like,
- 55:15Speaker 2: why the fuck we're in the parking lot. And I'm like,
- 55:17Speaker 2: why are we in the parking lot. It's not in
- 55:19Speaker 2: the morning, we have the We are there like eight
- 55:23Speaker 2: and a half hours to go. What the fuck are
- 55:24Speaker 2: we doing? But we had a good time, so at
- 55:29Speaker 2: any rate, now we get out of here. Thank you
- 55:31Speaker 2: very much for joining us this week, this episode one ninety.
