- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. Now, I'm pretty sure that you
- 0:42like the approval. Of other people.
- 0:45You like to be validated. You'd like compliments, You like
- 0:49to be known for being good at what you do, and who doesn't?
- 0:54But here's the key thing. Do you need it?
- 0:58Do you really need it? And there is a big difference
- 1:01between liking a compliment and needing a compliment of liking
- 1:06validation and craving and needing validation.
- 1:11They're big differences. And the.
- 1:12Client I was working with in this particular session you're
- 1:15about to hear, they had reached the point where they felt
- 1:18ashamed that they really needed it and they craved it and they
- 1:21had to have it. And this is designed to get them
- 1:25to a very different place where they can like it and appreciate
- 1:29it but not need it. And there's something very
- 1:31liberating and empowering of not needing to be liked, but liking
- 1:36to be like not needing the approval of other people, but
- 1:40quite liking when you do get the approval of other people.
- 1:43It's a game changer. So if the if you can connect and
- 1:47resonate with any of these things I'm talking about here,
- 1:50you might get some real value from this session.
- 1:52Now, it was created for an individual, some of the things
- 1:55are going to be very relevant for them and not quite relevant
- 1:58for you. So if you like the idea of
- 2:00working with me, I would encourage you to look in the
- 2:03description. And there what you'll be able to
- 2:06do is to take a suitability tests or watch a quick webinar
- 2:11where I explain all the elements of what it would be like to work
- 2:15with me. And that webinar is completely
- 2:16free, so check them out. They're in the description of
- 2:19this episode. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 2:22comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 2:25disturbed. Relax.
- 2:27And enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 2:59you breathe in, breathe in a wonderful feeling of calm
- 3:05relaxation. And as you exhale, allow
- 3:13yourself to release not just tension, but any feeling of
- 3:21expectation pressure. Just allow it to leave your body
- 3:29as you breathe out. And when you breathe in, breathe
- 3:35in deeper than you normally would.
- 3:38But imagine breathing in a bright colour that represents
- 3:45worthiness. Pure, distilled worthiness.
- 3:53Maybe it's a bright colour, like the colour of the sun, or maybe
- 3:58a different colour, but bright and vibrant.
- 4:01And as you imagine breathing in that distilled worthiness, it
- 4:07starts to melt away Unworthiness.
- 4:13Some people have stories. Stories as to why they're not
- 4:19valuable enough, good enough, important enough, educated
- 4:24enough. And as you breathe in bright,
- 4:28distilled worthiness, imagine it melts those stories away.
- 4:37And just imagine what's left of those melted stories starts to
- 4:45leave your body in your outward breath and make that outward
- 4:49breath longer, a long exhale and those feelings of unworthiness
- 5:00leave your body in your outward breath.
- 5:08Some people believe that the body keeps the score, that
- 5:13moments of deceit or shame are kept inside the body, and I want
- 5:23you to scan your body for any clues as to where that shame or
- 5:31unworthiness is hiding. Sometimes it's in the chest or
- 5:38the gut, sometimes in the head or the heart, and maybe you can
- 5:50notice where it is, or just allow your unconscious to find
- 5:56it for you. But as you breathe in that
- 5:59distilled worthiness, imagine releasing echoes of shame, of
- 6:09sadness, of inferiority, and again, allow it to leave your
- 6:18body in those long outward breaths.
- 6:25And then it means that the deeper you breathe, the more
- 6:27worthy you feel. And the longer you exhale, the
- 6:33more you get to release echoes of the past.
- 6:38You are not your past. You are not your childhood.
- 6:45You are you. And as you release the shame,
- 6:52the criticism of the past, perhaps it feels like you're
- 6:58getting lighter. And sometimes you might detect a
- 7:06twitch or a sensation, a movement in your body.
- 7:13And that might be because that's where that shame or unworthiness
- 7:18is hiding somatically in your body.
- 7:24So as you release it, you can feel lighter, less rigid, more
- 7:35released. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 7:40relaxed and aligned you feel. And the more relaxed you feel,
- 7:45the deeper you breathe, breathing in more of that
- 7:49distilled worthiness. As your body relaxes, your
- 7:56imagination awakens. And I want you to think of a
- 7:59moment in your past that you did feel worthy.
- 8:04You did feel enough flow back to that memory and see that version
- 8:12of you. Imagine observing that worthy
- 8:19version of you and notice that you didn't need to be any more
- 8:23educated. You didn't need to be slimmer.
- 8:29You didn't need to be anything more than you already was.
- 8:37You were enough, exactly as you were.
- 8:43And when you're back at that memory, observing that worthy
- 8:49version of you, let me know by nodding your head.
- 9:09That's it. Just find that worthy version of
- 9:12you. And then, as I countdown from 5
- 9:15to 1, imagine stepping into a time when you've never felt so
- 9:21worthy. You've never felt as enough as
- 9:26you did in that moment. 5. Getting closer, 4.
- 9:31Observing your facial expressions and posture and
- 9:36three, touching that version of you, and then two, walking
- 9:41inside that version of you and one embodying that version of
- 9:47you. Feel what it would feel like to
- 9:50be worthy enough, sufficient, accepted.
- 10:00Notice how you breathe when you're worthy.
- 10:05Notice there is no desire to embellish, exaggerate, or
- 10:10fabricate when you feel enough. You don't need the validation,
- 10:17approval, or attention of other people when you already feel
- 10:22worthy and enough. But let's change a pattern
- 10:31that's been harming you, eroding your confidence and self esteem.
- 10:39I want you to think of a memory in your past where you lied, you
- 10:47fabricated, perhaps to get the approval, validation or
- 10:53influence of someone else. But to begin with, go back to
- 10:59that memory and just observe what happened.
- 11:03Not changing it, just observing it.
- 11:08What did you say and how did you say it?
- 11:10And just observe that version of you in your past telling that
- 11:17lie. And when you've seen what
- 11:22actually happened, let me know by nodding your head.
- 11:42Observe it like you're someone invisible in the room, just
- 11:45watching you, not in your body just seeing it.
- 11:49And then rewind it. Rewind it, step into that
- 11:57version of you, and then imagine saying the same thing.
- 12:03Not different, exactly the same. I can imagine the moment that
- 12:11that lie, that fabrication leaves your lips.
- 12:17I want you to feel a sense of responsibility tied to a
- 12:22decision and you standard that you will hold yourself to.
- 12:30A standard that you will never lie, you will never fabricate to
- 12:36enhance the perception that others have for you.
- 12:46But that standard is only a standard when you take
- 12:51accountability. When you break that standard.
- 12:55So imagine saying whatever you said back then, and then
- 13:04publicly apologize for it. Imagine the words leaving your
- 13:11lips. That wasn't true.
- 13:20I made that up. I don't know why I said that,
- 13:28but it wasn't true. Just allow yourself temporarily
- 13:35to feel that awkwardness, embarrassment, accountability
- 13:42and responsibility. It's how you hold yourself to
- 13:47that higher standard. You will only share stories that
- 13:55are truthful and authentic without exaggeration or
- 14:02embellishment, and only if you choose to.
- 14:08You don't need to, and therefore if you do lie or fabricate, you
- 14:17will apologize fully and completely in doing so teaching
- 14:24that part within you. There is no benefit to using
- 14:31deceit to generate false validation and approval.
- 14:43Rewind that moment one more time and imagine saying something
- 14:46that is true, honest and authentic.
- 14:52Not to impress, but just to connect.
- 14:56Doesn't have to be something special or impressive.
- 15:01Just a moment, an experience. Just sharing what happened in
- 15:07your life. And if your unconscious is
- 15:14willing to hold yourself to that higher standard, imagine what
- 15:24your future will look like. Your unconscious will quickly
- 15:31believe that you don't need to lie to impress other people,
- 15:35because you're already enough as you are.
- 15:40If you want to become better, more knowledgeable, more
- 15:46accomplished, it's not to impress other people.
- 15:49It's because growth feels good. Accomplishment feels good.
- 15:58Allow yourself to set the intention of doing something
- 16:01impressive and not telling anyone about it.
- 16:10And that would mean you get to hold on to the pride rather than
- 16:20lie to hold on to shame. You are not your mother.
- 16:31You are not your past. The way to break a generational
- 16:38pattern or curse is to hold yourself to a higher standard
- 16:45and stick to that standard. And as you hold yourself to that
- 16:50higher standard, imagine days turning into weeks turning into
- 16:53months. Imagine confidence and self
- 16:57esteem growing. Imagine seeing yourself happier
- 17:02and less stressed. I imagine that as confidence
- 17:07grows, you treat yourself better, being more active and
- 17:15eating better quality food and less of it.
- 17:20When people really love, respect and take pride in themselves,
- 17:27the quality of their food is proportionate to how much they
- 17:30value who they are. To imagine that as weeks turn to
- 17:36months, your body shape changes because you like yourself more.
- 17:46And see how that would change in your workplace over the next few
- 17:52months. More confidence, more self
- 17:56acceptance. You're feeling comfortable in
- 17:59your own skin, no need to fabricate or embellish.
- 18:07You share what's real, what's authentic, with no agenda to
- 18:12impress. The less you impress, the more
- 18:20you carry. All of those qualities within
- 18:28you are enough and you don't need to be seen.
- 18:37The only person that needs to acknowledge your progress is
- 18:42you. Just imagine floating back to
- 18:49your present, taking these changes with you.
- 18:51A wonderful feeling that you are willing to hold yourself to a
- 18:58higher standard. And each time you listen to
- 19:03this, you will think of a different memory where you've
- 19:07lied. You will feel the shame or
- 19:11embarrassment of apologizing for it, and you will make a
- 19:16resolution, a promise with yourself to hold yourself to
- 19:21that higher standard. Never lying, never trying to
- 19:28impress others with things that aren't true, and only sharing
- 19:33real stories with real people that are real, authentic and
- 19:38genuine. And choosing to be humble and
- 19:45having humility if you decide to do it.
- 19:51Floating back to the present, Take a deep breath in through
- 19:53your nose and out through your nose.
- 19:58Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 20:00Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 20:06from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
