- 2:31And social media is a bitch. OK, it is a bitch.
- 2:36And I don't really curse on this show, so excuse my language, but
- 2:40it is. And a lot of people, especially
- 2:45basketball fans, they go back and forth and who's a Hall of
- 2:48Famer? Who's this and who's that?
- 2:50How do you compare compare a player has hasn't won a
- 2:53championship? How do you compare a player that
- 2:56only averaged 18 points to a guy that averaged 25 points in his
- 3:01career? And my argument here is a lot of
- 3:04people look at Kobe Bryant as one of the top five greatest
- 3:07players of all time. May he rest in peace.
- 3:09By the way, Kobe is, you know, he's gone off this earth but
- 3:13never been forgotten. He'll never be forgotten.
- 3:16And Kobe Bryant was a special player.
- 3:18And I wasn't a fan of Kobe Bryant.
- 3:20And I'll be the one, to tell you the truth, I wasn't.
- 3:24But I've been watching a lot of documentaries and Allen Iverson
- 3:30was one of my favorite players. I loved Allen Iverson and Allen.
- 3:35He went through so many trials and tribulations.
- 3:37Now Kobe Bryant, he never played college ball.
- 3:40He went from high school and he was traded for Lottie Divock and
- 3:46Lottie Divock obviously was up with the Lakers.
- 3:49He was sent to, if I'm not mistaken, it was the Hornets and
- 3:54Kobe Bryant went to the Lakers and Jerry West knew about Kobe
- 3:58and Kobe. His dream was to play for the
- 4:01Lakers because his father played for the Lakers and he went to
- 4:04his team and he got a chance eventually to play with
- 4:06Shaquille O'Neal and win multiple championships, actually
- 4:095 championships all together. Allen Iverson never won a
- 4:15championship. Never.
- 4:19And what made Allen Iverson special was all the trials and
- 4:24tribulations Allen Iverson went through.
- 4:26People don't understand this. Allen Iverson was sentenced to
- 4:3215 years to jail. I don't know if anybody knows
- 4:35this. All because of a bowling alley
- 4:39fight that honestly, he was not even involved with.
- 4:43It was, to me, racism at its fullest.
- 4:46And Allen Iverson, his mother and his family fought for him to
- 4:51get out of jail and get a second chance.
- 4:53And Allen Iverson transitioned college basketball all the way
- 4:58to the NBA and gave players a way to bring their personality
- 5:03out by the way he dressed. What Allen Iverson stands for is
- 5:08completely different from Kobe Bryant, and he's different from
- 5:12Shaquille O'Neal or any of the great players that he played
- 5:14against at the time. He was the only one that made
- 5:18Michael Jordan actually buy into a crossover and made him fall
- 5:23flat on his ass, OK? And he did it not once but twice
- 5:27to one of the greatest defensive players we've ever seen.
- 5:30OK. And what bothers me about Allen
- 5:35Iverson and bothers me about a lot of people comparing great
- 5:39players of this era or that era, which championships, And I'm not
- 5:46going to mention any names on social media, but I've been
- 5:49attacked numerous amount of times on my thoughts on Allen
- 5:54Iverson's career. And where I thought you can
- 5:57grade Allen Iverson or put Allen Iverson on the top ten of all
- 6:02time, where I don't put Kobe Bryant.
- 6:04And, and a lot of people think I'm crazy and I listen to
- 6:07Stephen A Smith's take and thinks that Kobe's a top five
- 6:10player, maybe top three. And he put AI outside of the top
- 6:15ten. I think he an AI, by the way,
- 6:19Stephen A Smith's career, really.
- 6:21And he gave Allen Iverson a little bit of credit, a lot of
- 6:24credit on his career. If it wasn't for Allen Iverson,
- 6:27I don't think Stephen A Smith would be where he is today.
- 6:30He started in Philly, right? Yep, He covered Allen Iverson.
- 6:34He covered him, and he said it in his documentary.
- 6:38If it wasn't for AI, he wouldn't be where he is today.
- 6:40His career wouldn't be the same without Allen Iverson, which is
- 6:44a very interesting take because Stephen A Smith is one of the
- 6:47biggest in the business right now.
- 6:49And Allen Iverson, who's gone through a lot and he's done a
- 6:53lot, offset from what he has as a basketball career and went
- 6:56broke. By the way, I don't know if
- 6:57anybody knows that Allen Iverson went broke because he was taking
- 7:02care of not just his family, he was taking care of his friends.
- 7:05He had an entourage of 26 people that he was taking care of,
- 7:08family friends, making sure that they were taking care of outside
- 7:13of the game of basketball. So I wanted to bring up this
- 7:17story because there are certain players.
- 7:20Now. I want to give a shout out to
- 7:21this website because I think it's one of the greatest
- 7:24websites. If you're trying to compare
- 7:27players of all time, you got to check out this website.
- 7:31It's it's www.landofbasketball.com.
- 7:37OK, So what you can do is you can look at the all time
- 7:41greatest basketball players, even players that you liked and
- 7:45pick players and then put them against one another and compare
- 7:49those players to one another. It's sensational.
- 7:53It's such a great website. Check it out.
- 7:55Landofbasketball.com if you never checked it.
- 7:59And I put Kobe Bryant against Alan Oxon.
- 8:03Now, Kobe played for those great Laker teams.
- 8:07He played with one of the greatest basketball players, one
- 8:11of the most dominant basketball players of any era, and that's
- 8:15Shaquille O'Neal. And say whatever you want, at
- 8:18that time, Kobe wasn't the best player on that team.
- 8:21It was absolutely Shaquille O'Neal.
- 8:23But I wanted to go into this because it really bothers me
- 8:28when people are comparing players and IAI will never he
- 8:32had a lot of love for Kobe Bryant, so he would never say
- 8:35that he was better. But I'm going to give you
- 8:37reasons why he was better than Kobe Bryant.
- 8:40And you look at numbers and obviously AI was not a great
- 8:43defensive player. He wasn't.
- 8:45And he he, he never won a championship.
- 8:47And NBA seasons were 20 to Kobe to 14 of AI.
- 8:52When you look at their numbers of statistics, playoff played,
- 8:59888 playoff appearances. And by the way, Allen Iverson,
- 9:04that, that run that he made where he lost against the Lakers
- 9:08was arguably one of the greatest runs I've ever seen a player
- 9:12have in a playoff run him himself.
- 9:15Because what Allen Iverson had to do to get to the Finals was
- 9:21go through teams and players by himself.
- 9:26There was nobody. Everybody keeps talking about,
- 9:29oh, what look, Bron James did, LeBron James did with that
- 9:33Cleveland Cavalier team. A Galskis was one of the best
- 9:36centers in the league. Larry used as one of the better
- 9:39defensive perimeter guys in the league.
- 9:43OK, you look at Allen Iverson's team when he took that team to
- 9:48the finals, Could anybody name anybody he played with on that
- 9:54roster besides Eric Snow? And I don't want to hear Eric
- 9:57Snow. OK, Could anybody name any
- 10:01player that was a part of that roster at any point?
- 10:06And the answer, and I might want to hear about it.
- 10:07And old Dick can't be Mutombo. OK.
- 10:10All right, Honestly, what Allen Iverson did that year and by the
- 10:15way, won an MVP that year, he was the best player in the
- 10:18world. 6 foot Allen Iverson not 63.
- 10:23Everybody keeps giving Steph Curry on the small Steph Curry.
- 10:26He brought this revolutionized the game with the three because
- 10:29it was a small player. No AI revolutionized the game.
- 10:34Now, he didn't bring the crossover to the NBA, but he
- 10:39developed the crossover to a distinct way where NBA players
- 10:45wanted to mimic his way of playing, his mimic way of ball
- 10:49handling and his skill. What he did that year was
- 10:55remarkable and I don't think people understand how great this
- 10:59man was unless you watched him and I couldn't stand him because
- 11:04Coleman, another ex net who couldn't stay healthy and
- 11:08absolutely with white trash. And I say white trash because he
- 11:12trash. OK, absolute dirt trash.
- 11:15I'm looking at the numbers in All Star games.
- 11:18They're very similar because Kobe Bryant played 20 years and
- 11:21and and Allen Iverson played fourteen.
- 11:24I'm not even looking at that MVPS.
- 11:26They both won one Finals MV PS Allen Iverson never won a Finals
- 11:31MVP, but Kobe won two. That was after Shaq left.
- 11:34Shaq won three all NBA teams. First teams was Kobe's 11 to to
- 11:43I'm sorry, Kobe's, Kobe's 11 to Allen Iverson's three.
- 11:47But here's here's where I I stick out to why Allen Iverson
- 11:52was special and what made Allen Iverson such a special player.
- 11:56Scoring leader, scoring championships.
- 11:59He won four, Kobe won two. Allen Iverson steals leader.
- 12:03He won three. Kobe won none.
- 12:05Rookie of the year. Kobe didn't win Rookie of the
- 12:08year. Allen Iverson won rookie of the
- 12:10year. Now, there are other things that
- 12:13Kobe sticks out from. There's other things that Kobe
- 12:17sticks out from. Obviously he was a better
- 12:19playoff player, but he also played on better teams.
- 12:21He played with pal Gasol, he played with Shaquille O'Neal.
- 12:25He played with Meta Lamar. Who did Allen Iverson play with?
- 12:28The only time Allen Iverson ever played with any decent players
- 12:32is when he went to Denver at the tail end of his career.
- 12:35Really. It was really when everything
- 12:37started to drop off. And by the way, never wanted to
- 12:39leave Philadelphia. Ever wanted to leave
- 12:41Philadelphia. Philadelphia pushed him out.
- 12:46He went for what, a year and a half?
- 12:49A year and a half to Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets
- 12:53and he played, finally played with a superstar player as a
- 12:56young player. How old was Carmelo?
- 12:58He was like 22, okay, he Allen Iverson never played and
- 13:05Shaquille O'Neal said it best. And Shaquille's been behind
- 13:09Allen Iverson forever. Both Reebok guys.
- 13:11Allen Iverson really transition Reebok and their sneaker deal.
- 13:16Do you know that the the last now for years Michael Jordan's
- 13:22numbers for Nike sales were at an all time high.
- 13:26Allen Iverson is the first player in NBA history besides
- 13:31Nike to bring in $150 million in one year off another shoe.
- 13:39Not Nike. Think about that.
- 13:42Reebok. Everybody wanted a Reebok
- 13:45sneaker. He brought in $150 million in
- 13:48one year. He's the first player in history
- 13:52besides a Nike, you know, Michael Jordan, to bring in more
- 13:56than $150 million to a brand that wasn't Michael Jordan's
- 14:01brand or Nike. Steph Curry you just saw like
- 14:05left Under Armour, he rocked the shack Reeboks the other day when
- 14:08he came to the did. He just sign a contract with
- 14:11Nike. Seth, I'm not.
- 14:13Sure. No, he's a free agent.
- 14:15Oh, he's a free agent. I, I, I, I'm waiting to see
- 14:17where he signs. But and by an armor, body armor
- 14:20did him wrong, by the way. I'm just saying, but I wanted to
- 14:23get into this because I think people forget how special and I
- 14:27know what Kobe did. I know what he did for the
- 14:29league. He was there was nobody.
- 14:32There was nobody like Allen Iverson.
- 14:34Michael Jordan was Kobe Bryant. Kobe was Michael Jordan.
- 14:39Michael Kobe was right a step under what Michael Jordan was.
- 14:43He was a mimic of Michael Jordan.
- 14:45Allen Iverson. Could you name any player right
- 14:49now that you could maybe Kyrie Irving, But Kyrie Irving, I
- 14:51don't think he has, even with the ball handling skills Kyrie
- 14:54Irving has and he's very athletic and and special.
- 14:57I think Kyrie Irving could be, could have been the greatest
- 14:59basketball player of all time if he just shut his mouth and
- 15:01played the game honestly. Allen, I don't think there's
- 15:04anybody comparable to Allen Iverson.
- 15:06Speedy. No, because Even so, like
- 15:09explosiveness wise, you maybe thought it would have thought
- 15:12Derrick Rose would have got there too, but he didn't play
- 15:14long enough because all his all hinge.
- 15:16Russell Westbrook's like the opposite body type of Allen
- 15:19Iverson, somebody that's small. Yeah.
- 15:21You can't really judge that kind of thing with anybody.
- 15:23No, and that's that's the thing. And I'll tell you guys this,
- 15:27you're all you're a fan of a basketball player like Tim
- 15:30Hardaway. I could bring up Tim Hardaway
- 15:32senior right now. All right, I'm going to bring it
- 15:35up right now and I'm. Let's compare Tim Hardaway to a
- 15:38point guard. Let's do it to Jason Kidd.
- 15:40OK? Now, Tim Hardaway junior, we
- 15:43remember him on the Golden State Warriors.
- 15:45I think Golden State was the one that drafted him if I'm not
- 15:47mistaken. I need to I believe.
- 15:49And then he went to Miami and we all couldn't stand him.
- 15:51Hardaway, he's been on the show. Timmy knows that.
- 15:54I couldn't stand him. Respect him very, very well.
- 15:57When you look at him and Jason Kidd.
- 16:00What? What precisely changes your look
- 16:04to what you think Tim Hardaway was and Jason Kidd Here's the
- 16:09difference and why IA lot of people compare Tim Hardaway and
- 16:12and some people would take Tim Hardaway over Jason Kidd and and
- 16:16this is the truth. And and again, Jason Kidd was a
- 16:19better defensive player and he was a better passer.
- 16:23Anyone Rookie of the year Tim Hardaway Tim Hardaway and and
- 16:27I'll say this from from what I say, he was a hard nosed guy.
- 16:31You never wanted to play Tim Hardaway.
- 16:33Jason Kidd was a quiet sound player that played his game.
- 16:37He did everything right, everything right defensively,
- 16:40offensively, did everything pass the ball wasn't a better
- 16:43shooter. I think Tim Hardaway was a
- 16:44better shooter than Jason Kidd. But if you compare their skills
- 16:48and their talent, they're very similar players.
- 16:51Now, if you were to ask me who's better, Jason Kidd or Tim
- 16:54Hardaway, I would say Jason Kidd a little.
- 16:55I would take him over him because he is, he was more of a
- 16:58facilitator than Tim Hardaway was.
- 17:00But their skills were similar from one another.
- 17:03So to go back to the argument and why everybody will go back
- 17:07and forth with me and they'll tell me, well, I'll take this
- 17:09guy here, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady.
- 17:12My argument here is a lot of people like Tracy McGrady, they
- 17:15would say Tracy McGrady was a better player player than Vince
- 17:18Carter. I beg to differ.
- 17:21Longevity is everything in the NBA, am I right?
- 17:25Longevity. Everybody said longevity is
- 17:27everything. 25 Years of Vince Carter.
- 17:30Vince Carter played 25 years. Tracy McGrady had not knee
- 17:34injuries. I don't know how long Tracy
- 17:36played, but I, if I brought up the numbers, I mean, Tracy
- 17:42didn't play anywhere close. And that's the thing.
- 17:46I, I, I look at longevity, I look at players that maybe
- 17:49that's why you would say that Jason Kidd was a little bit
- 17:51better than Tim Hardaway because of longevity and his ability to
- 17:55stay in the league as long as he did.
- 17:56But nevertheless, I, I think there's a lot of things to look
- 18:00at player and compare one player to another.
- 18:03But I, I will say that when you, when you look at guys that
- 18:06revolutionize the game, like we, I just mentioned Jason Carter,
- 18:12Tim Hardaway or Allen Iverson or Kobe Bryant, be careful on how
- 18:16you compare these players. Be careful on how you, you
- 18:21perceive them. Because what you see on clips,
- 18:23if you weren't alive to see Michael Jordan.
- 18:26And I just goes to somebody who probably is listening right now,
- 18:29who tells me that Michael Jordan that, that LeBron James is the
- 18:33greatest basketball player of all time.
- 18:36How would you know if you weren't alive to see Michael
- 18:39Jordan? Honestly, how would you know?
- 18:44I mean, seriously, John, buddy, you watch Michael Jordan play in
- 18:46the prime of his career and you've seen and you see LeBron
- 18:50James. Honestly, if you want to look at
- 18:53both players right now, even now in the game, the way it's played
- 18:56right now, who would you take, Honest to God?
- 19:00I mean I'm I'm taking Jordan, but I think one thing too, when
- 19:04you talk about like certain things, like obviously the game,
- 19:07you talked about his crossover. I I think too you, you talk
- 19:11about a culture of a game and Iverson did it with clothes.
- 19:17He did it with the jerseys in the way that they dressed after
- 19:21Iverson came in the shorts and how they were long and how
- 19:24everybody kind of took that culture in that that swag, what
- 19:29they call now or drip or fit, whatever you want to call it.
- 19:33He made that cool, like he made that and that's part of like
- 19:38that's Jordan's stigma too is like Jordans are still sold
- 19:41today, Like he made it something to where not only was he a game
- 19:47changer in the game itself, but he was also in the game of life
- 19:52and style. And like there's been great
- 19:55players that affected the game and in crazy ways.
- 19:59But when you just type it, it's hard.
- 20:01It's, I mean, it's. When you're talking about
- 20:03greatness in all aspects and you talk about winning and you talk
- 20:07about does that longevity and like, do those add up?
- 20:11If one played longer, is he better than the person that
- 20:14didn't play as long but one and the other one didn't?
- 20:16Like there's so many things, but when I look at it as a whole is
- 20:20like, what did you do to revolutionize a sport, not only
- 20:27athletically, but as somebody like a Muhammad Ali, like a Babe
- 20:33Ruth, a Tiger Woods. I mean, you look, look at all
- 20:38these guys that not only did they change part of a game, they
- 20:42changed the culture of a game and made it cool for certain
- 20:46people to play, made it cool to have these types of things.
- 20:50I mean, you know, there's you look at as dumb as like a Chris
- 20:53Saber wearing glasses. He he made the dorky guy look
- 20:56cool. Horace Grant, you know, you look
- 20:58at just certain things where they weren't great players, but
- 21:01you're all going to remember them for for the things that
- 21:03they did outside of the game. And I think when you when you
- 21:06look at it as everybody, you know, getting to the NBA and
- 21:10talented or Major League based by the NFL, like when you change
- 21:14a culture along with being an unbelievable athlete, I think
- 21:20there's there's certain things. And did Kobe do certain things
- 21:23for, you know, different types in different ways?
- 21:29Yes, 100%. Was it to like where it's still
- 21:34recognized like as something where you look at it like why
- 21:40did they now have a dress code per SE?
- 21:42Which some of the some of the dressing that the NBA has is is
- 21:46out there, which that's your that's your lane, That's you
- 21:48love that stuff, which is great. And but who started that, Allen?
- 21:55Iverson. And that's that's part of why I
- 21:58think too, there's aspects of him where it's like, yeah, it
- 22:03goes deeper than just a game. Because we're talking like I
- 22:06wore the AI's, like I loved those shoes.
- 22:08The black and the gold ones were fire, the red and the white ones
- 22:11were fire. Like they ripped.
- 22:13I was, I was a kid that they thought had money because I kept
- 22:16the receipts and boxes and the bad boys because I take the mugs
- 22:19back, get the new pair, flip flop.
- 22:21I was always at the mall. I was husband.
- 22:23I loved the AIS too, but it always ripped.
- 22:25I would play basketball with them and I would have to go
- 22:28first. They were very, very easy to
- 22:30RIP. But I wanted to say something
- 22:32about Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady.
- 22:33And if you look at Tracy McGrady, the time that he went
- 22:37to Houston that I think the, the seven years that he or eight
- 22:41years that he was in Houston, I mean, he was putting up numbers.
- 22:43He was the best player there. And then they, they brought Yao
- 22:46Ming and he played with Yao Ming, but he was the the
- 22:49centerfold player over there. He was the guy that they were
- 22:52building their organization around and, and, and if you look
- 22:55at it, 7 all NBA teams because Tracy McGrady left Vince Carter.
- 22:59Could you imagine those two guys play a whole career together
- 23:02with Toronto? I mean, forget about it.
- 23:04Marcus can be him. And by the way, both guys were
- 23:07drafted by Isaiah Thomas. So think about it.
- 23:11He was a very good judge of character when it came to
- 23:14talent. It couldn't really last as a as
- 23:17a coach and as AGM because he didn't know how to bring in
- 23:21players from from free agency. We've seen that in a many
- 23:24different sports. Scoring titles.
- 23:26Obviously Tracy McGrady has two to Vince Carter's none.
- 23:28But what made Vince Carter, I believe a culture changer was
- 23:33the dunk contest. If anybody remembers dunk
- 23:37contest, remember Michael Jordan and Gerald Wilkins.
- 23:41Remember that those those contests in the 80s and I was a
- 23:45kid. I was a baby in the early 90s
- 23:49and, and obviously Vince Carter and what Vince Carter did in the
- 23:52dunk contest, which I believe took dunking and in the slam
- 23:58dunk context to the next level and really change the format of
- 24:02what dunk contest we're going to be in the in the later 90s in
- 24:07the early 2000s. And I think it's affected the
- 24:09dunk contest because I don't think anybody could perform what
- 24:13what Vince Carter did. I mean, he absolutely dominated
- 24:16in that dunk contest. So I just think like you said,
- 24:20Jabba, it's all about culture changing.
- 24:23And I think the the what Vince Carter did, even jumping over a
- 24:277 foot five guy in the Olympics. I mean, has anybody seen that
- 24:31before? I mean, he was a culture
- 24:33changer. His hops and his ability.
- 24:35People forget what Tracy McGrady did because how many guys have
- 24:39won all been on all NBA teams? How many guys have won scoring
- 24:43championships? I mean, Steph Curry won a bunch
- 24:45of them, Kevin Durant won a bunch of them, Carmelo Anthony
- 24:47won some. I mean all these guys win
- 24:50scoring championships, but who did did what he did at a slam
- 24:55dunk contest that revolutionized the culture of the dunk contest
- 24:59and that was Vince Carter. So wouldn't you ask me not the
- 25:02fact that what the numbers show or what they won when it came to
- 25:07single out honors, but what they did to change the culture of the
- 25:12game is where I would see kind of look at their style and their
- 25:17transition of the NBA from decade to decade.
- 25:21What really revolutionized the sport and brought the sport to
- 25:24the top. So that's why my argument to
- 25:27Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant, I put Allen Iverson in the top
- 25:30ten. I wouldn't put Kobe Bryant.
- 25:32I, Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady are not top ten players,
- 25:36but if you were to ask me who I would take in front of one or
- 25:39the other, I'm taking the guy that changed the culture of the
- 25:41game and that's Vince Carter. And I said longevity with, you
- 25:45know, Michael Jordan didn't have the longevity of LeBron James
- 25:48and that stands for a lot. But what Michael Jordan did for
- 25:51the game is took it international and if it wasn't
- 25:54for Michael Jordan, international players.
- 25:57And you hear from everybody, Dirk Nowinski, Giannis, all
- 26:01those guys. Basketball wouldn't be
- 26:03basketball in Europe or anywhere in the world without Michael
- 26:07Jordan. Michael Jordan took it to the
- 26:10next level. And that's why Michael Jordan is
- 26:12the greatest basketball player of all time, hands down.
- 26:15And what Lebron's done, I would put him too.
- 26:18LeBron has taking the sport and put the sport on his shoulders.
- 26:22There's no question that he has. He is not Michael Jordan, he's
- 26:25not Kobe Bryant, he's not Allen Iverson, he's LeBron James.
- 26:28He's the LJA, he's a guy that had had an understanding of what
- 26:34a billionaire, what a player was when he came into the league as
- 26:38a king, when he was what he was given the name the king and and
- 26:44really taking that to a multi billion dollar opportunity.
- 26:48And now he's taking he's become the first athlete playing in a
- 26:53sport and becoming a billionaire, doing it it not
- 26:57just in basketball, doing it in many facets of the world.
- 27:01And that's why I think LeBron James is a top three player.
- 27:04You could argue it and you could say whatever you want.
- 27:06Some people would wouldn't put him in a top five.
- 27:08He, he, he changed the culture of the NBA when he came into the
- 27:12league, not for the not for the better, not for the good, not
- 27:16for anything, for what the culture has transitioned into.
- 27:19You could take it to the good way.
- 27:21You could take it to the bad way.
- 27:22It's LeBron James, any way you put it.
- 27:24So that's why I wanted to bring up this subject and why I'm, I,
- 27:29I, I like arguing basketball because I don't know if you can
- 27:33argue decades or you can argue players, you know, at different
- 27:37positions, or you can even argue players that played against one
- 27:39another. But like Jabba said, it's the
- 27:42way they changed the culture. And I'm not saying Kobe didn't
- 27:44change the culture of the game. He did.
- 27:46He was the Mamba. He did, he changed a culture.
- 27:49He, he changed his, his, you know, his personality after that
- 27:54whole rape accusations, which by the way, he was not guilty for.
- 28:00He had to change that Mamba style of game.
- 28:03And he wanted to change who he was on a basketball court and he
- 28:06changed it to the Black Mamba. And he did it so very well
- 28:10because he was a different player after that.
- 28:12He, he was on a whole nother level.
- 28:14He took basketball to a whole nother level.
- 28:16And I respect Kobe Bryant for that.
- 28:18I'm not ever going to attack Kobe Bryant for his game.
- 28:21And the way he played the game with heart and soul and he
- 28:24worked. His work ethic was beyond
- 28:26anybody's I've ever seen, even more beyond than Michael
- 28:29Jordan's. That guy would get up in the
- 28:31morning and instead of going and and going partying with his
- 28:35boys, he's out in the gym 3 O clock in the morning working out
- 28:38and shooting 500 shots and shooting 303 pointers every
- 28:42single day. If you hear the stories of, of
- 28:46Kobe Bryant in his training and what he did for his body and
- 28:50what he did as a basketball player, I don't think anybody
- 28:52understands the the the Mamba personality.
- 28:58And I think the only people that did was the people that trained
- 29:01with him and couldn't keep up with them.
- 29:02I've heard many different people say that they Kobe Bryant was on
- 29:06a whole nother trajectory when it came to work ethic and
- 29:09wanting to be the best. So I'm not taking away from his
- 29:12talents. I'm just telling you, if you
- 29:14would ask me right now who I would build my team around in
- 29:20the prime of their careers, I'm taking AI over Kobe Bryant just
- 29:25because of the way he changed the culture of the game and,
- 29:28and, and really putting Philadelphia on his back the way
- 29:31he did. That's not easy.
- 29:33By the way, Philadelphia fans do not give you pretty observations
- 29:38when you're there. And I know a lot of New York
- 29:40fans would tell you the same. They're not.
- 29:44And I, I got to give Allen Iverson a little bit more credit
- 29:46and he loves Philadelphia. And by the way, I don't know if
- 29:49anybody knows this. Allen Iverson played for who in
- 29:52college? Georgetown, Georgetown.
- 29:55Georgetown. And when he was playing in the
- 29:58tournament, who booed him the most?
- 30:02The Philadelphia fans. The Philadelphia fans were
- 30:06calling him all these disgusting things, telling him jailbait,
- 30:10all that other stuff. And when he was drafted, he took
- 30:14that and he wore it on his sleeve.
- 30:16He went to Philadelphia for all the things that he was hearing
- 30:20when he was playing college ball at, you know, in Philadelphia
- 30:23and, and for the tournament and all that stuff that he was
- 30:26dealing with his only year before he went into the drafted
- 30:29to help his family. He was getting the most anger
- 30:33treatment from the Philadelphia fans and who drafted them
- 30:36Philadelphia. And he loved Philadelphia and he
- 30:39took Philadelphia as his home. So AI, you're in my heart, man,
- 30:44Culture wise, everything you stood for everything.
- 30:48I believe in basketball and what basketball should be.
- 30:51And if I ever had a chance to see or meet Allen Iverson, which
- 30:55I hope someday I do and I interview him, I'm going to tell
- 30:58him you were one of my favorite players because you stood for
- 31:01something that other people obviously couldn't, or even you
- 31:07change the culture of a game that other players wanted to and
- 31:11still to this day are trying to SGA trying to change the, the
- 31:14culture of dressing and, and style.
- 31:17I mean, my, the, the one that one guy that changed the style
- 31:20of clothing and, and, and really style of culture for the NBA is
- 31:25Allen Iverson. So if there's anybody that wants
- 31:27to talk about style, I want to go to somebody to talk about how
- 31:30you can change a culture of dressing.
- 31:32It's Allen Iverson. So shout out to AI.
- 31:35Love you, man. And hopefully one day we get him
- 31:38on the show and we have some conversations with him and, and
- 31:40shoot the shit with him because he is one of those guys that you
- 31:43would probably love to interview.
- 31:45And I I could only imagine the interview we would have with
- 31:49him. All right, save your tears, mom.
- 31:52What's one thing? That you can't talk to me about.
- 31:55My sexual fantasies. It's not ideal, but if it's what
- 32:02means it's not ideal, but if it's just not ideal, but if it
- 32:04is, what means? You can't treble stamp a double
- 32:07stamp. You can't treble stamp a double
- 32:08stamp. Lord, you can't dribble stamp a
- 32:10double stamp but but you. Guys, now it's time for save
- 32:16your tears. All right, guys, welcome back to
- 32:22Save Your Tears. Hell is that sounds speedy.
- 32:28What? What is that?
- 32:30Is that Nathan? That's somebody.
- 32:32It was Jared. It was Jared.
- 32:33It was Jared from the. Background.
- 32:34Mute that. Background noise.
- 32:36Nathan, please. Please.
- 32:39Mute the Lisa Ann when we get you, when you get you, when we
- 32:42bring you in, then you can unmute your stuff.
- 32:45If there's this background sound guys, make sure that you mute
- 32:48your mics until you got to come in.
- 32:51All right, you got the music on. Here we go, $15 every week.
- 32:58We've done it during the regular season of the NFL.
- 33:00By the end, we'll have a comprehensive standings if
- 33:03Speedy ever gets around to it. But we have another one for Week
- 33:0812. Let's take a look at the board
- 33:10today. Here it is.
- 33:12We're going to go with three games.
- 33:14The games are Eagles, Cowboys, Colts Chiefs and a game not as
- 33:22good Jets Ravens. So here we go let's take a look
- 33:26at the quarterbacks available. No, I didn't put Tyrod Taylor up

- 33:45Internet on every social that you follow.
- 33:47So here it is, $5, Patrick Mahomes, followed by Lamar
- 33:50Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott.
- 33:53And this is such a loaded category, Errol.
- 33:55I'm putting Daniel Jones down for a single dollar.
- 34:01Interesting against that chief, against that Chiefs defense.
- 34:05I'm not doing the same thing for his running back partner.
- 34:08Jonathan Taylor's the $5 player ahead of Saquon Barkley,
- 34:11followed by Derrick Henry at $3, Reese Hall for two and a pretty
- 34:15good $1.00 player again, Nathan. Some bargains here, Nathan.
- 34:20Javonte Williams going to receiver one.
- 34:23We got CD Lamb. In fact, I put the two Cowboys
- 34:26receivers at $5 after their performance with that off and CD
- 34:31at $5 in wide receiver one, followed by Rashi Rice for four,
- 34:35A.J. Brown 3, Zay Flowers 2 and Colts
- 34:38receiver Alec Pierce for a buck in wide receiver 2.
- 34:41It's headlined by George Pickens, followed by Devonta
- 34:43Smith, Michael Pittman junior for three, Xavier Worthy 2 and
- 34:48The Jets top receiver. Apparently, John met you the 3rd
- 34:52for a dollar and at tight end it's Errol favorite player
- 34:58Travis Kelsey at $5, Tyler Warren for four, Mark Andrews
- 35:03for three, who I'll be talking about after this segment in our
- 35:06next segment, Dallas Goddard for two, and another great $1.00
- 35:10player. Boys, the bargains are
- 35:11everywhere. Jake Ferguson, another tow job.
- 35:16And here we go. Who was our winner last week
- 35:19was? It this makes my pecker hard.
- 35:21Yes, I. Did all right, so you tell us
- 35:24the. Order.
- 35:24All right, we're going to start with Jarrett this week.
- 35:28OK. All right, I'm going to go.
- 35:31Lamar Jackson I love Lisa Ann Jonathan Taylor green pie we'll

- 35:46girls and scoops I. Didn't hear that one before.
- 35:52I love it all right. Some of my ass.
- 35:56Taylor, Flowers, Worthy and Andrews.
- 36:00Athletes. Jared who's?
- 36:02Next, Speedy. All right, since the drop was
- 36:04played, let's go with Tommy if he's able to.
- 36:06I'm not sure if he's in. I hope not.
- 36:09If he's able to or not. Tommy, can you hear me?
- 36:14Can't wait. All right, I guess not.
- 36:16All right. Well, we'll go to Nathan next
- 36:17then. Tommy says.
- 36:18He's Oh my God. All right, we'll go to Nathan
- 36:21and Tommy. You could go after him then.
- 36:26I'm going to go back Prescott, slap that ass.
- 36:31Jonathan Taylor spanking. See that's 7.
- 36:40A.J. Brown.
- 36:42Would you stick a finger in his ass?
- 36:49Let's see Xavier word worthy. Poor bag.
- 36:54And then Jake Ferguson. I look delicious.
- 36:59Can our math experts confirm? This one.
- 37:02For us, I got Dak Taylor, A.J. Brown, Xavier Worthy in
- 37:07Ferguson. He he saved $2.00 this one.
- 37:10He won. Just a master of thrift, Nathan.
- 37:15I love it. Freaking all right?
- 37:17Are we going to Tommy? Tommy, I guess, is playing all
- 37:20right, I think. What's up guys?
- 37:23You guys can hear me? Yep.
- 37:25Yeah, it's it's like a porcelain echo.
- 37:27I'm. Trying to move away all.
- 37:31Right. How about now?
- 37:32No. I was just joking.
- 37:34I was just that's a you're on the toilet joke.
- 37:36No, ha ha ha. OK, so I'm looking at this now.
- 37:41You sound. Like.
- 37:42Shit. I do.
- 37:43I do. Excuse my voice, but I can
- 37:46really pretty much only breathe out of my mouth right now.
- 37:48But all right, so I'm gonna go with Daniel Jones.
- 37:57I want to go and take Jonathan Taylor.
- 37:59I don't care. I'm also going to go Rashi Rice.
- 38:04Let's finish. It off Michael Pittman and
- 38:08Dallas Goddard. Men in black memory Eraser.
- 38:12All right, special you Jones, Taylor, Rice, Pittman and
- 38:17Goddard. Irrelevant.
- 38:20Irrelevant. All right.
- 38:22Who's next? Speedy.
- 38:23All right, let's go to Errol. I gotta go.
- 38:26Yep. Why?
- 38:27Why can't you wait until the last?
- 38:28What the hell is? All this I said Java.
- 38:30I I said Java was going last this week.
- 38:33So I. I haven't gone last in three
- 38:35weeks. All right, here we go.
- 38:36Daniel Jones, definitely. Who?
- 38:42Ball. Who's Baltimore played The Jets.
- 38:44The Jets? I'm gonna go Derrick Henry.
- 38:50I'm going to go CD lab, where are we at?
- 38:559 all. Right.
- 38:58I'm going to go. I'm trying to think here.
- 39:06All right, I'll go Michael Pittman.
- 39:07And what do I have? 3 left.
- 39:10I'm going to go. Maybe I'll go.
- 39:14Yeah, I'll go Michael Pittman. I guess I'll go.
- 39:18I'll go Mark Andrews. All right, so I got Daniel
- 39:23Jones, King Henry CD Lamb, Michael Pitman junior, and Mark
- 39:27Andrews, speedy. Does that mean I'm up?
- 39:31Nope. It means I'm up next.
- 39:32I'll actually go, and then you can follow me.
- 39:33Fish and Jabo. We'll run it out.
- 39:34I'm going to go Hertz, Henry, both $2.00 receivers, Flowers
- 39:39and Worthy, and give me Warren Men in Black Memory Erase.
- 39:42Yeah, because the word jizz is really structured.
- 39:46All right, that was really fast. So 2 both threes, both threes,
- 39:51Hertz in hand. I got Hertz, Henry Flowers,
- 39:55Worthy Warren, all right. I don't care if Java treats.
- 40:03Either let's go to the ones that I know I wanted to take.
- 40:05So I'm taking Saquon this week against that Cowboys defense.
- 40:09I know. He tastes himself.
- 40:11What's his face? Quinn Williams and he played
- 40:14well. Another toe job every.
- 40:16Game let me get. I wanted to take CD Lamb as
- 40:25well. I had to take a shit.
- 40:29But I'm going to spend actually check that I'm not taking CD
- 40:34Lamb. That one over like a fart in
- 40:35church. Pickens at 5:00 on.
- 40:38The ever going raw. And I'm taking Ferguson at tight
- 40:45ends for a dollar. I'm a Snatch 4. 910 five bucks
- 40:51left. I'm going to take DAC for two.
- 40:56I love Lisa Ann. And that gives Oh, I don't want
- 41:00A.J. Brown.
- 41:03Do I trust a Flowers against The Jets?
- 41:05I smell my ass. I'm going to take flowers, but
- 41:08I'm going to spend an extra dollar on Gotter instead of
- 41:17Ferguson. So I'm going Hertz.
- 41:18I'm sorry, that's Speedies. I'm going DAC, Saquon, Flowers,
- 41:21Pickens, Gotter, Jabba. I need Brittany also.
- 41:27I I'm going Daniel Jones. Lick it and stick it, Jonathan.
- 41:31Taylor. I want to hit it.
- 41:35Zay Flowers. Butt plug.
- 41:40Then I'm gonna go Pitman. This makes my pecker hard.
- 41:48And then I'm gonna go Dallas Goddard.
- 41:51I'm saying that he tastes himself shitty.
- 41:57It's fantastic that we're so thrifty here on the show, you
- 42:00know, trying to be economics majors.
- 42:02I'll let you lick my butt. Really glitching right now so
- 42:06I'm trying to get this to. Finish made my nipples hard to.
- 42:09Come back. Be right back, sweetie.
- 42:13You could probably bring it there.
- 42:15There it is, a wonderful world of Disney.
- 42:19There you go. Oh, so we got it.
- 42:22Ladies and gentlemen, we've got the one and only Save your tears
- 42:26Week 12. And who's going to pull out the
- 42:29win? Who's going to pull out or just
- 42:32explode, if you know what I mean?
- 42:35Like this that went over like a farting church.
- 42:37I don't know if it did, but if you're pulling you're definitely
- 42:40not blasting, if you know what I mean.
- 42:42I had to take a shit. Somebody's got him and Job will
- 42:45be probably doing that after the show.
- 42:47Probably 2 deuces, maybe even 3 depending on what he ate for
- 42:51dinner as he probably had some of that beef from Omaha Steaks
- 42:56as we. All I did, I did.
- 42:58I had steak and eggs there. You go steak and eggs, a little
- 43:02protein, baby. Somebody's got a.
- 43:04Like the streaks in my britches. There'll be a lot of streaks.
- 43:09In his bridges after tonight, that's for damn sure.
- 43:12No, I'll take a morning morning dump like usual.
- 43:15Yeah, I keep that too. Morning dumps are good.
- 43:17And now, ladies and gentlemen, fishes Play of the Week.
- 43:21Another thing about. Sports You play to win the game.
- 43:25Hello, You play to win the game. Fishes play of the wing.
- 43:33All right guys, welcome to Fishes Play of the Week.
- 43:35Never going wrong. I like to go through some of the
- 43:39best plays every single week. We've done it every week of the
- 43:42NFL season. I kind of want to show you a
- 43:45different type of play. Can't wait.
- 43:48See, just someone making a good catch.
- 43:50That's cool to everybody. But I like the good XS and OS.
- 43:54I'm a coach and I'm going to show you one that won a game
- 43:59last week. Here it is.
- 44:01We call this play the Hurricane. This is Mark Andrews filling in
- 44:06a quarterback. He does this.
- 44:07He does their tush push. It looks like a tush push
- 44:10formation. You can see the 2 running backs
- 44:13behind Andrews ready to push him and Lamar Jackson standing
- 44:17there. Almost like that Ashton Gente
- 44:20stance where he's kind of like not really running back, but
- 44:22he's standing there as this like protection guy, but can also be
- 44:27given the ball on a pitch. So they have someone mirroring
- 44:29him on the defense and he's going to go with Jackson on this
- 44:34fake pitch. Take a look at the fake tush
- 44:37Push quarterback roll out bootleg touchdown to win the
- 44:42game. Glory hole.
- 44:44Here it is, Andrews gets the guy to go the wrong way.
- 44:47They do a simple blocking scheme and he's fast enough to get into
- 44:51that end zone. Let's run it back a little bit
- 44:53just so you could see how good of a play this was because of
- 44:56the formation. Using Lamar Jackson back here
- 44:59has to respect Lamar Jackson. He's the only person who can
- 45:03make this play. But they're so afraid of Lamar
- 45:06Jackson. As you see, he's completely out
- 45:08of the way. Errol, every single person,
- 45:12including Speedy, can run through this hole.
- 45:14At least get a first down. Mark Andrews is good enough to
- 45:17get a touchdown. That's why this play is vicious.
- 45:20Play the week. Breaking news, a lot of hot
- 45:24ladies. Well, somebody's hot.
- 45:26I don't know if there's any hot ladies on this show.
- 45:28And I would, I would, I would definitely like to see what
- 45:31Jabba looked like with a wig on. We shaved the beard off.
- 45:35We put on a nice little wig. I mean, Jabba's lost a lot of
- 45:39weight. What do you guys think?
- 45:41I mean, I think if you gave Jabba like a punk rock Mohawk.
- 45:45Wig it would be. Awesome, maybe I should do that
- 45:48arrow. I do not want to see you as a
- 45:50woman. Could you imagine Nathan Shavis?
- 45:56Busy all day today. Glory hole.
- 45:58Give me some pound cakes, somebody.
- 46:00Needs. Nathina.
- 46:01Would it be called? Would it be Nathina?
- 46:03Nathina. Nathan, what would you say you
- 46:08have nice of if you if you were a woman, would you would you go
- 46:11boobs or a butt? Where would you go?
- 46:15Probably boobs. Yeah, you like you're a boobs
- 46:17guy. Yeah.
- 46:18Yeah, you like looking those things bouncing.
- 46:21I like, you know, I like, I like ass and boobs.
- 46:22I like both ass and boobs. Oh, I know you like both.
- 46:25You like both, but which one would you go with if you were a
- 46:27woman right now? Probably boobs.
- 46:29Boobs. Yeah, it's it's why it's
- 46:31something to smack around or something.
- 46:33Yeah, I mean play witch background, anything.
- 46:38Look at Choppy. Shake his head.
- 46:40No, I'd, I'd have to, I'd have to literally get a BBL because I
- 46:44have no butt. You know, I'm not even gonna
- 46:49lie. Like when I lose weight, like it
- 46:51literally like my butt is like, it's, we call it piano butt.
- 46:56Like I was in choir in theater when I was younger and all our
- 46:59piano players, they have piano butts because they sat on the
- 47:03piano and there's just like flat.
- 47:06Brittany, Brittany loves grabbing my ass.
- 47:08She says I have a nice guy, a nice guy's ass.
- 47:11She always does. I'm running, dude.
- 47:14She'll come to to work out with me and I'm running and all she's
- 47:17doing, she's looking behind me and like, what are you looking
- 47:20at? And I'm I'm on the treadmill.
- 47:22She's like you. You got a got a nice butt, you
- 47:25know. Thanks.
- 47:26Thanks a lot. Typical girl, but she My
- 47:29brother's got a flat ass. I gotta say, my brother has the
- 47:33the epiphany of ugly flat nothing over there.
- 47:37How about you a fish? I mean, does your woman like
- 47:40your ass? A. 100% all.
- 47:43Right. She likes to grab it likes to
- 47:45squeeze. It all right that's that's
- 47:48that's all the info we need like right there I'm.
- 47:50Married so we don't get to have this conversation on here.
- 47:56All right, Speedy 6 pack. Let's have a sixer.
- 48:01Hey, who wants to play Drink the Beer?
- 48:03It's time for the Speedy 6 pack of the way.
- 48:08Yum Yum. All right, I am a legend we got.
- 48:11We got Wes with us this week as well, joining us for Let's
- 48:15Parlay. Wes, which way?
- 48:16Which way would you go? Would you if you were a woman?
- 48:19Butt. Butt or boobs?
- 48:24I don't have thoughts like. That I'm just asking you.
- 48:27If you neither do I, yet I get roped into a table.
- 48:29Butts or. Boob, well, I, I mean, I think,
- 48:34I think boobs, they never go out of style over the last, you
- 48:37know, I mean, I'm 4 1/2 decades old and they've always been in
- 48:41style. The BBL is kind of trendy these
- 48:43days, but that's really only the last 10 years.
- 48:46It took Sir Mix a lot, what, 20 years for his concept and vision
- 48:50to catch on and and gain some steam.
- 48:54Maybe out in the Midwest. I got to go back off now.
- 49:01All right, guys. You guys ready, Speedy?
- 49:03Let's go. All right, so I'll start as we
- 49:05usually do. West.
- 49:06You'll go second Fish, we'll go to that.
- 49:08We'll go to the Coin of Java, and then we'll finish it off
- 49:11with Arrow. We'll start with the Vikings at
- 49:13the Packers. The Packers are 6 1/2 point
- 49:15favorites in this one. I'm going to take Minnesota to
- 49:17cover the spread. I think the Packers win the game
- 49:19close. I just don't trust their defense
- 49:20to be able to hold this spread. So I'm going to take Minnesota
- 49:23to cover Packers in the game. So I'm opposite on everything.
- 49:28On that one, I think that the spread opened at 3 1/2 and it
- 49:32moved to 6 1/2. And I think that that's because
- 49:35somebody hammered Green Bay. But I think a touchdown is
- 49:38pretty easy. I don't believe in the
- 49:39quarterback play in Minnesota and I think that this might be a
- 49:44game where we see something out of Green Bay we haven't seen in
- 49:47a couple weeks, which is possibly some special teams or
- 49:50or defensive points or some extra takeaways that gives them
- 49:54a short feel. I think, I think Green Bay is
- 49:56going to going to cover this 6 1/2.
- 50:00Yeah, I'm going to go with Wes. I just think the Green Bay
- 50:05defense, if you have a defense that's going to get pressure and
- 50:08that listen, they haven't playing, I think up to what they
- 50:11can be that's good enough to disrupt the quarterback.
- 50:15Like JJ McCarthy and we talked about it on Monday, JJ McCarthy
- 50:19is Zoolander as a quarterback. He can't go left.
- 50:22He literally can't go left. Look at his stats from throwing
- 50:25to the right compared to throwing to the left.
- 50:27I think you got you got to you're going to have a lot to do
- 50:31to overcome it. I don't think Flores is going to
- 50:33be able to scheme in his way out of it to keep the game close
- 50:36enough. I think the Packers going to
- 50:37walk. So the coin.
- 50:41We got Jabba. On the Vikings.
- 50:48Dildo cooch. They always come back to me.
- 50:51What are the standings? Speedy, by the way.
- 50:54That's on the other computer, I'll have to check that another
- 50:56time. Arrow and you were neck and neck
- 50:57though. Never has the standings.
- 51:00It's on. It's on the other computer.
- 51:01I normally say that, but you and Arrow were neck and neck last
- 51:04week. I think he was up by 1.
- 51:06I'm going Green Bay. There's no doubt Green Bay is
- 51:10going to win. So that's where I'm going.
- 51:12Alright, Wes, we're going to your childhood team for the next
- 51:14one. The Chicago Bears taking on the
- 51:17Pittsburgh Steelers at home. Bears favored by two and Aaron
- 51:21Rodgers. No Aaron Rodgers, and that will
- 51:23help out for Chicago in this spot.
- 51:25I think I would have picked the Steelers if Aaron Rodgers was
- 51:27healthy. But I I can't trust you.
- 51:28What makes it Rudolph here? Give me Chicago.
- 51:30There's not a lot of reasons to to take the Steelers when even
- 51:34with Rodgers, their quarterback play has been questionable.
- 51:38But the Steelers defense just isn't good and every week we
- 51:41seem to find a new inspiring type behavior or play or energy
- 51:48out of that Bears offense. And Caleb Williams has been
- 51:52pretty responsible with the ball and not turning it over and and
- 51:55Ben Johnson seems to know when to call for them to take the
- 52:00right chances. The Bears left points on the
- 52:02field last week, but Dunze had had a couple drops.
- 52:06DJ Moore, there was a big drop that would put him inside the
- 52:09tent. So I don't think players like
- 52:12that are not going to continue to to to make mistakes.
- 52:14So I think the Bears will cover the 3 1/2.
- 52:17I wonder about games like this. I'm always afraid of the random
- 52:21backup quarterback game. We saw Jacoby Brissett do it,
- 52:24you know, in the losing effort. I worry about Mason Rudolph
- 52:28being maybe better than Aaron Rodgers at this point or as good
- 52:32as Aaron Rodgers and they're not being much of A drop off.
- 52:35And I also think that the Steelers aren't good.
- 52:37I completely agree with you. They're still six and four and
- 52:42Mike Tomlin every single year finds a way, regardless of how
- 52:48good his team is, to win games against teams that blow things.
- 52:52And this Bears team worries me sometimes.
- 52:54I still think Caleb has has a game like this, a stinker in
- 52:58him. I'm going to go against type.
- 53:00I'm taking the Steelers. Ram Jam.
- 53:03To the coin now, the Rams are later.
- 53:06Titties. Head All right, Java's.
- 53:13Got. The Steelers, is that your
- 53:14cucumber or are you happy to see me?
- 53:19I got the bears and I believe they'll come.
- 53:23All right, so we'll go to the one prime time game of this
- 53:25week, the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers.
- 53:28The Niners favored by 6 1/2 points, which I think is way too
- 53:31many points. I think the Panthers actually
- 53:33should win this game out, right? So I'm not Carolina in this one.
- 53:36You're muted, Wes. He's a mute.
- 53:38He's a mute. You're you're seeing 6, so
- 53:42you're seeing 6 1/2 and I'm seeing 7 and at 7 I like
- 53:46Carolina. At 6 1/2, I like the Niners.
- 53:49I'll see what the final line is and we'll adjust from there I
- 53:52guess. I am a big fan of Brock Purdy.
- 53:56Brock Purdy like gives his team a different dimension.
- 54:00I think that their guys are getting better.
- 54:02Ricky Pierce all got his feet wet last week.
- 54:04Didn't do too much, but he's back now too.
- 54:07They're slowly getting the horses back.
- 54:09CMC again. Everyone gave me a lot of crap.
- 54:13Not this week. Gave me a lot of crap for taking
- 54:16CMC at 5 in our fantasy draft. He's the number 2 running back
- 54:21in the fantasy player basically right now in all football.
- 54:24And it's close with Jonathan Taylor because he's going to
- 54:27have 1000 thousand season on pace right now.
- 54:30That seems still good enough to beat A-Team like Caroline.
- 54:33Give me the 49ers. And we got all right.
- 54:43Job on the 49ers as well. Yeah, I got the 40.
- 54:46Niners 49ers went out right. All right, Eagles at the
- 54:49Cowboys. Eagles 3 1/2 point Rd.
- 54:51favorites. I like them in the spot.
- 54:53I think the game is close. I don't think the Cowboys are
- 54:55laid down and die, but I think the Eagles can win by more than
- 54:58a touchdown. Yeah, you know how I feel about
- 55:03NFC East matchups, but I like the Cowboys to win this matchup
- 55:06outright. I don't.
- 55:08I don't need the points. I'm gonna lay some points and
- 55:11collect some plus money on this one.
- 55:13I'm actually going to invest in this.
- 55:14I like Dallas. I like what they're doing on
- 55:16offense. The Eagles offense if, if
- 55:19there's any hole at all in their defensive strategy against
- 55:25Dallas, I don't think the Eagles can score points with Dallas.
- 55:30And the Eagles have been so lights out on defense that, you
- 55:35know, we, we got, we got enough again.
- 55:37But the Eagles have been so lights out on defense that
- 55:41they're oh, thanks, bro. They're they're just due for a
- 55:45different type of performance. And the division opponent is, is
- 55:49the kind of matchup that'll bring out something that's
- 55:52uncharacteristic of of the team. So I, I like Dallas outright.
- 55:56I'm going to lay 5 1/2 on Dallas and up it to about plus 350.
- 56:05I also watch a lot of NFC East football and I got to be honest
- 56:10with you, I don't trust this Cowboys team in a million years
- 56:13defensively, I think. Play with my Pickles the.
- 56:16Strongest secondary. They're going to play Mignon
- 56:20Mitchell might be the top corner in football this year.
- 56:23The way that he's playing, I expect him to shut down whoever
- 56:26he's on. I would expect him to be on
- 56:28Pickens more than Lamb because Lamb will probably be in the
- 56:30slot. But I don't know how they're
- 56:32going to do that. But they got a whole host of
- 56:34other guys like Cooper de Jean that can take away their best
- 56:37weapons. They don't have it lame Johnson.
- 56:41So it worries me a little bit on the Eagle side of it.
- 56:44It's not a big spread. I think the Cowboys are being a
- 56:47little overrated here. Give me the Eagles.
- 56:57On the Eagles as well. Yeah, I got the Eagles.
- 57:00You know I'm going with the. Eagles.
- 57:01Yeah. I don't think there's what week
- 57:02you haven't got with the Eagles yet.
- 57:04All right, let's go to the aforementioned Nathan Drop the
- 57:07LA Rams. The Ram Jammers is nothing like
- 57:09to say hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- 57:11Ram Jam. They are 6 1/2 point.
- 57:13Favorites. I'm actually going to.
- 57:14Take them in this spot. The spread does seem pretty
- 57:16large, but Sean McVeigh offenses have always done well against
- 57:19top bowls defense and Tampa still got a lot of injuries.
- 57:21Give me the Rams here. What was the spread, Speedy?
- 57:256 1/2 The Rams. Bucky Irving's going to be back
- 57:27this week. There's a possibility Bucky
- 57:29Irving could be back to. Say that every week.
- 57:31Really, no. But I this week, more than any
- 57:34week I've I've heard that there's a very good chance
- 57:36Bucky's going to he's going to make the field this week, so.
- 57:39All right, Wes, what do you got? We got the Rams 6 1/2 point home
- 57:42favorites on the Buccaneers. It's hard to to side against the
- 57:46Rams. I mean, Seattle should have beat
- 57:50them. They were in a position to beat
- 57:51them and, and they couldn't. But what they got going on on
- 57:54defense is pretty incredible. And then anytime they want to,
- 57:59they got 2 receivers that could burn you deep.
- 58:01So I this week is is challenging with spreads because a lot of
- 58:06the favorites, it's very hard to build an argument for the
- 58:10underdog. And I, you know, one of those
- 58:13large spread underdogs went out right, but not on this one.
- 58:18This Rams team looks pretty unbeatable.
- 58:22I'm in the same camp. I like this Rams team.
- 58:26I don't think Tampa's there defensively at all this season,
- 58:29and I really don't think they're healthy enough offensively to
- 58:33keep up with this really good defense.
- 58:35I think the Rams on this one easily.
- 58:37If Tampa falls out of the playoffs, I'm going to tell you
- 58:39this Top Ball is going to lose his job, unfortunately.
- 58:50What do we got? Bam.
- 58:51Java's on the Rams as well. We're all RAM jamming for you,
- 58:53Nathan. I think Java's coin has followed
- 58:57every single one of my picks. No.
- 59:00It's listening all but all but. One, he had the bear with the
- 59:03Steelers. Because I decided to be
- 59:06different. That's right.
- 59:09I see with Bucky, Irving comes back.
- 59:11I, I think it could be a different game, but I'm going to
- 59:13go with the Rams because I don't know Bucky.
- 59:15But if Bucky plays, I wouldn't be surprised if Tampa pulls it
- 59:18off. But I'm going to go Rams.
- 59:22All right, we'll run it out with West's Kansas City Chiefs as 3
- 59:251/2 point favorites over Errol's second favorite quarterback,
- 59:29Danny Dimes and the Indianapolis Colts.
- 59:31I am then going to take the Chiefs in the spot.
- 59:33Colt off a bye week, again, a little rusty.
- 59:35I think that could hurt them. They're a hot team coming in.
- 59:37The Chiefs, I can't see them losing three in a row.
- 59:39It seems like a sense of desperation for them.
- 59:41I'm going to take the Chiefs there.
- 59:42This spread opened at 9 1/2. I saw that.
- 59:48They were a 9 1/2 point favorite and and somebody hammered.
- 59:51I mean, a lot of somebody's just hammered the Colts.
- 59:55Statistically, there's no reason to believe that the Chiefs will
- 59:57even be in this game. Statistically, the Colts should
- 1:00:01just completely destroy the Chiefs.
- 1:00:03The only thing that we can say about the Chiefs is it, well,
- 1:00:06it's the Chiefs and they're coming off a loss.
- 1:00:08Last week they were coming off a vibe.
- 1:00:11Denver is a little bit different, though.
- 1:00:13I said last week, Denver, Denver and the Chargers were built
- 1:00:16specifically to beat the Chiefs. They were built as a replica of
- 1:00:20what Tampa and Philadelphia have done to the Chiefs in.
- 1:00:24The Super Bowl, and that's exactly what we saw.
- 1:00:27I mean, that being said, the Chiefs were still in the game.
- 1:00:31I don't know that the Chiefs can stop the run.
- 1:00:33I, I, I truly, I'm going to be at the game.
- 1:00:36I obviously I will be wearing red and cheering for the Chiefs,
- 1:00:39but I don't believe that the Chiefs will be able to stop the
- 1:00:43rushing attack of the Colts. I mean, I think this game is
- 1:00:46going to be a track meet. I'm going to decline to pick.
- 1:00:49He abstained right there. He fled the play.
- 1:00:51You're. Going to take a specialty bet if
- 1:00:53you want to say we saw Johnny do that with like a team total like
- 1:00:55one of the games. Well, it sounds like you take
- 1:00:59the over if you're going to take something.
- 1:01:01The over we. Can I do?
- 1:01:04I do believe that there's going to be some points in this game.
- 1:01:07Well, no one stopped Jonathan Taylor this season, so I don't
- 1:01:10think you have to be bad as a rushing defense to get gashed by
- 1:01:13him. So I but then it's you got the
- 1:01:17Patrick Mahomes effect and the Travis Kelce effect and it's
- 1:01:20going to be a feature game that everyone's watching, so
- 1:01:23something weird is going to happen.
- 1:01:25What do we got as a spread Speedy?
- 1:01:26Chiefs are 3 1/2 point home favorites. 3 1/2 That's so
- 1:01:36tempting. That hook is so tempting.
- 1:01:40I'm going to go for that hook. I don't know if they win by more
- 1:01:43than a field goal. I think this is a field goal
- 1:01:44game. Give me the Colts to cover.
- 1:01:47But I do think I just some reason, I think the Chiefs are
- 1:01:50to win this game, but I think give me the Colts to cover.
- 1:01:55Java. Tail.
- 1:01:59Agreeing with fish again. The Colts are going to win.
- 1:02:04This game, it's not even going to be close.
- 1:02:07All right. That's that's all the games.
- 1:02:09There we. Go.
- 1:02:11All right. And now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:02:13let's parlay, parlay Olay. Olay Olay, it's time for let's
- 1:02:25parlay. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:02:29we have Mr. Wesley in the feed. We love him.
- 1:02:33One of the best handicappers we've had on this show.
- 1:02:36He does very, very well in Canadian football.
- 1:02:38CFL, what were you ranked this year?
- 1:02:40What, what, what, what? What number were you at?
- 1:02:43Why won't we? Yeah, buddy, I'm.
- 1:02:45I'm doing noise. Why you now, Quinn?
- 1:02:50Ready. I will when I'm done.
- 1:02:53I, we finished the season. Speedy was tracking it at one
- 1:02:56point because I was doing, you know, let's parlay you can do
- 1:03:00we, we do four and there's four CFL games.
- 1:03:03But at one point we were as high as 72%.
- 1:03:05Yes, when we, when I think when, when I stopped giving them out
- 1:03:09because I had, I had a, a, a stretch of not joining.
- 1:03:14I think we we finished somewhere around 64.
- 1:03:17Percent. I think the last time you sent
- 1:03:18in the betting chat it was 68 something.
- 1:03:21Yeah, and I and I, what I tracked was somewhere around 64,
- 1:03:26but I finally got that pre season Grey Cup winner.
- 1:03:29Yeah, we skipped last year, but that was nice at plus 850 and a
- 1:03:33total of 76 parlays that hit on that Grey Cup victory.
- 1:03:38I did actually catch 3/4 of it. WI was watching to pull for your
- 1:03:41Saskatchewan team, but now on Friday, I'll make Chad say it
- 1:03:44three times fast. Yeah, so for for this week, I'm,
- 1:03:50I'm going to I'm going to say with college first, we're going
- 1:03:53Friday night and I'm going to Florida State game against NC
- 1:03:57State. I do not know why there's so
- 1:04:00much public support for NC State.
- 1:04:02Florida State, believe it or not, is a top 10 rushing yards
- 1:04:06team in the in the country and their defense is pretty solid
- 1:04:09too. They, I, I believe the Florida
- 1:04:12State is going to win this game and they're going to cover the 4
- 1:04:141/2 points that this will make them bowl eligible.
- 1:04:18There's just certain teams that the the climate of college
- 1:04:22football is better when certain teams are good or in the bowl
- 1:04:26mix. Florida State's one of them.
- 1:04:28I don't like it. It's just better when Florida
- 1:04:30State's a part of it. But this is something of a
- 1:04:33conference rivalry. I believe we're we only got
- 1:04:36about two or three more years of Florida State even in the ACCI
- 1:04:39think that they're going to end up in the Big 10 in less than
- 1:04:42five years all. Right.
- 1:04:44Give us your number 2. #2 I am taking Illinois and I'm going to
- 1:04:51lay 7 1/2 points. Illinois when they win, it's by
- 1:04:56double digits. Wisconsin when they lose, it's
- 1:04:59by double digits. So when you Camp Randall this
- 1:05:02year is not what it was. I my first memory of Camp
- 1:05:08Randall was a #1 ranked Ohio State going to Camp Randall.
- 1:05:14Oh, thanks Buddy was the number one Ohio State team going to
- 1:05:18Camp Randall to to lose. It's probably back in like O
- 1:05:209-10, something like that. That stadium and the jump
- 1:05:24around, it's not doing what what it what it did.
- 1:05:27And I'm not calling for coach's heads because Pickle's a good
- 1:05:30coach. That being said, if you believe
- 1:05:32Illinois is going to beat Wisconsin, history says Illinois
- 1:05:36wins by double digits and Wisconsin loses by double
- 1:05:38digits. And this season, it doesn't
- 1:05:40matter if it's home or on the road.
- 1:05:41So 9, seven and a half. I'm taking the alarm now.
- 1:05:43Wow. #3. #3 I'm actually going to take a dog and you call me a
- 1:05:52Homer if you want to. Most of my family went went went
- 1:05:55to Lawrence, or at least my wife's family.
- 1:05:57But I'm going to take The Jayhawks plus 4 1/2.
- 1:06:03If you look at Kansas and Iowa State, statistically, offense,
- 1:06:08defense, they're the same exact team.
- 1:06:11But when I look at this game, I got you got one team coming off
- 1:06:15a win and you got one team coming off a loss.
- 1:06:18You got the coach that's coming off a loss.
- 1:06:21Coach is a little bit more inspired the following week.
- 1:06:24I believe that Lipo is is a better coach than than Campbell
- 1:06:28is. And that's just where I'm at.
- 1:06:30So I in what I believe to be a statistical, statistical
- 1:06:36stalemate, I'm getting a better coach and a better running game.
- 1:06:40So Kansas plus 4 1/2. All right, give us your #4.
- 1:06:49This one's wild, but I'm also going to take another dog.
- 1:06:53It's it's from the state up north here in about two days, I
- 1:06:57won't say the word Michigan for about a week.
- 1:07:00We cross off M's everywhere. There's no blue there.
- 1:07:04There's no blue in my house. We don't write with blue pens.
- 1:07:07We it just that's how it is. We're about two days away from
- 1:07:10from that happening. So, Wes, when you come up, when
- 1:07:12you, when you come on that week, do I have to make arrows handle
- 1:07:16Errol EROLXARKS? I want a red X over his last
- 1:07:20name over over over the the M Thank you.
- 1:07:23Yeah, that that's it. My my kid is 3.
- 1:07:27He learned the don't give a damn song when he was two years old.
- 1:07:32That being said, I am taking the Spartans plus 16 1/2.
- 1:07:36They're going to Iowa. I think this is a perfect spot
- 1:07:39or a let down game. Iowa just played out of their
- 1:07:43minds at the Coliseum. I I believe that they are the
- 1:07:46better team against USC. That being said, they are not 16
- 1:07:511/2 points better than this Spartan team.
- 1:07:55I don't think we're going to see the same offense.
- 1:07:57That was a once a year offensive performance that we saw out of
- 1:08:00the Hawkeyes. So I'm going to take 16 1/2
- 1:08:03maybe. Maybe Iowa wins by double
- 1:08:04digits, but not more than 16 there.
- 1:08:07There you go, Wes, your obligatory shocker as well.
- 1:08:11There you go. Somebody's got to shock it,
- 1:08:13right Speedy? Yeah, and we're getting close to
- 1:08:16shocker season where college basketball's happening.
- 1:08:20So it's I'm going to go to a couple of WSU games this year
- 1:08:23and those are really fun. Don't worry Wes, if you ever bet
- 1:08:25on them, I'll give you 3 shockers on that show.
- 1:08:29I just might. I just might.
- 1:08:33All right, Wes, we love you, man.

- 1:10:39So what you're saying is Deion Sanders is going to be in a
- 1:10:42starring role as a football coach of the Blind Gremlins?
- 1:10:45I guess so. I mean, somebody's blind and we
- 1:10:49all know gremlins are not that blind, but they're damn ugly.
- 1:10:52So anyways, yeah. So thank you to Wes for adding

- 1:12:13Jankies, AKA New York Yankees to talk a little Winter meetings,
- 1:12:17GM meetings, what he's heard. He had to drive from New York to

- 1:14:50Every What convention were you at?
- 1:14:51So it was a it was in Manhattan. It was a sports convention and
