- 0:00Speaker 1: From the kingdom of Mahoning, Ron Verb on News Radio
- 0:03Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. 87 degrees on this Wednesday afternoon. Guardians go
- 0:07Speaker 1: down to defeat on an afternoon game. And we'll be
- 0:10Speaker 1: with you until 7 tonight. Then the usual lineup at 7.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Sean Hannity takes over. Jesse Kelly now at 10 o'clock.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Doing a great program. And then coast to coast overnight.
- 0:20Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN. I'm glad the boss lady calls
- 0:24Speaker 1: when she said, I wasn't going to call today. But
- 0:26Speaker 1: you know what I like? I like her passion on
- 0:28Speaker 1: these topics because she just lays it all out there, saying, listen, man,
- 0:34Speaker 1: what about looking at it from the other aspect? What
- 0:37Speaker 1: if your son was the victim here? What would you
- 0:39Speaker 1: think about it in that sense? You're on the air.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Well, I've got to apologize. I'm not going to be
- 0:46Speaker 2: able to offer quite that much passion.
- 0:48Speaker 3: On a phone call.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Right. I mean, listen, if you do your usual mediocre
- 0:53Speaker 1: phone call, we're just pleased with that, okay?
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'm just waiting for you to get pulled off the
- 0:59Speaker 2: air with me calling in.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Well, you are the unknown caller.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 2: But, well, I think it was while JJ was talking,
- 1:08Speaker 2: you guys were talking about the kid knew he had
- 1:10Speaker 2: a knife on him, and my wife pointed out the fact,
- 1:13Speaker 2: she goes, well, that's premeditated then. He knew he had
- 1:17Speaker 2: a weapon, and that just makes it premeditated at that point.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Plus, you were saying..
- 1:26Speaker 2: That it was a twin brother that got killed?
- 1:30Speaker 1: His twin brother was there to hold his brother as
- 1:33Speaker 1: he was dying.
- 1:35Speaker 2: So, I mean, how awful is that? I mean, for
- 1:38Speaker 2: the brother, you know how they always say that twins
- 1:40Speaker 2: are really close anyhow. So just for the twin brother,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and then for the parents, every time they see, you know,
- 1:47Speaker 2: the other brother that's still living, they think of the
- 1:51Speaker 2: one that died. That's got to be just horrible. So, yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 2: this kid, like you said, at 17, this kid knew
- 2:00Speaker 2: better than to kill somebody. Most normal people do. And
- 2:06Speaker 2: with the whole BLM thing, you know, the Black Lives Matter,
- 2:10Speaker 2: if black lives really mattered, then maybe the black fathers
- 2:14Speaker 2: would stick around and raise their kids to not go
- 2:17Speaker 2: around stabbing people. I think it's 75% of black... children
- 2:24Speaker 2: don't have a father in the house.
- 2:26Speaker 5: So if they really.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Mattered, if black lives really mattered, why don't the fathers
- 2:30Speaker 2: stick around and raise them? Well, what's, what's the answer
- 2:34Speaker 2: to the question there, Ron?
- 2:36Speaker 6: I have no clue.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Listen, actually, I thought JJ, the liberal made a good point.
- 2:41Speaker 1: He said, the part of the problem here is somewhere
- 2:43Speaker 1: along the line, this kid didn't realize.
- 2:46Speaker 3: How to behave.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Somewhere along the line. This kid, when they asked him
- 2:51Speaker 1: to leave, he decided he didn't have to leave. The
- 2:54Speaker 1: rules didn't apply to him. It wasn't his team's tent.
- 3:00Speaker 1: He seemed to think that he had every right to
- 3:01Speaker 1: stay and no one had a right to tell him
- 3:03Speaker 1: to leave. And then he seemed to think that if
- 3:06Speaker 1: this kid pushed him out, that the answer was to
- 3:09Speaker 1: stab him.
- 3:09Speaker 2: But that gets directly to my point. Like, you knew
- 3:15Speaker 2: better at 17. I knew better at 17. I had
- 3:18Speaker 2: a dad that, you know... within the home and raise
- 3:21Speaker 2: me there right now for plunder though discipline and you're
- 3:24Speaker 2: not gonna like jay jay with they put some kind
- 3:27Speaker 2: of a a course in school where you learn you
- 3:30Speaker 2: know consequences now that i cannot work at that point
- 3:33Speaker 2: it just too late you have to be able to
- 3:38Speaker 2: have control your children discipline them rave them the right
- 3:41Speaker 2: way and a lot of it is like their religion
- 3:46Speaker 2: getting out of schools in that But, I mean, that's
- 3:49Speaker 2: a totally different subject. But, I mean, 17 years old,
- 3:55Speaker 2: like you said, he should know better than to, you know,
- 3:59Speaker 2: pull out a knife and stab somebody in the heart.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Right, right. So why do you think that kid thought
- 4:06Speaker 3: that way?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Obviously, he was never taught discipline in his home. It's just,
- 4:21Speaker 2: I could go on, but I better not. But, hey,
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'll change the subject real quick, all right?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yesterday, you were talking about another sad story, the woman
- 4:34Speaker 2: in the nursing home.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You know? But a lot of times, the medications they
- 4:41Speaker 2: give you, I don't know if it's opioids or what,
- 4:44Speaker 2: but they cause constipation.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yes. Yes.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I mean, that should be something that's checked on regularly.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I mean, I've known.
- 4:52Speaker 4: People that had surgery. I've had surgery.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And it's a problem, you know?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Even sometimes when you call, even though you don't have surgery,
- 5:01Speaker 1: sometimes when you call, I can sense that you're constipated.
- 5:03Speaker 3: I mean, just on..
- 5:06Speaker 1: Just on talking to you here, you know, I'm concerned.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I said, boy, the unknown caller, he sounded like he
- 5:10Speaker 1: was constipated on his call. Now you're talking about this story.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Let me just bring people up to speed that missed
- 5:16Speaker 1: it yesterday because this is a serious issue in all reality.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So you had a woman that the estate is suing
- 5:24Speaker 1: this nursing home in Trumbull County. The suit states that
- 5:30Speaker 1: this woman... had back surgery and hospitalization went smoothly, and
- 5:40Speaker 1: her attending surgeon and treating doctors expected the woman to
- 5:43Speaker 1: make a full recovery, return to living independently at home
- 5:46Speaker 1: after a short course of rehabilitation.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Now, this woman was.
- 5:49Speaker 1: 60 years old. The suit states that the woman was
- 5:53Speaker 1: prescribed pain medication by her treating doctors to reduce the
- 5:57Speaker 1: pain from her broken vertebrae in surgery. and that the
- 6:01Speaker 1: defendant knew that these medications can cause severe constipation. Well,
- 6:06Speaker 1: under the defendant's care, so she's in this nursing home,
- 6:10Speaker 1: all right? Well, under the defendant's care and supervision late
- 6:13Speaker 1: March through early May 2025, the defendant failed, meaning the
- 6:18Speaker 1: nursing home, failed to monitor this woman for signs and
- 6:21Speaker 1: symptoms of constipation, missing completely that the woman had not
- 6:25Speaker 1: had a bowel movement for several weeks. So she had
- 6:29Speaker 1: back surgery. They put her on, obviously, pain pills, which
- 6:33Speaker 1: can make you constipated. They knew that that's why she
- 6:36Speaker 1: went to this nursing facility to rehab. She's 60 years old.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And no one notices that she hasn't had a bowel
- 6:44Speaker 1: movement for weeks. And she's supposed to recover from this
- 6:49Speaker 1: back surgery. And as a result of that, she died.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You know, so they say before she died, she developed,
- 6:56Speaker 1: listen to this, she had nausea and vomiting and was
- 7:00Speaker 1: not acting like her usual self, becoming withdrawn and lethargic.
- 7:04Speaker 1: When family members saw her in serious distress, they insisted
- 7:09Speaker 1: that the staff call an ambulance and take her to St.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Joe's.
- 7:12Speaker 1: At the hospital, she was diagnosed with severe fecal impaction.
- 7:17Speaker 1: which resulted in stretching and compressing of the walls of
- 7:20Speaker 1: her colon, resulting in a portion of her colon losing
- 7:23Speaker 1: blood flow and dying off. She suffered a colon perforation,
- 7:27Speaker 1: causing feces and bacteria to leak into her abdomen, leading
- 7:30Speaker 1: to infection and life-threatening medical emergency. During surgery, her entire
- 7:35Speaker 1: colon was removed, and she remained extremely ill and unstable
- 7:39Speaker 1: and died the next day. So that's the story. So
- 7:43Speaker 1: you've got a woman who got back surgery. 60 years old,
- 7:48Speaker 1: goes to a rehab facility, is on pain pills because
- 7:52Speaker 1: of the operation that can cause you to get constipated,
- 7:55Speaker 1: as pain pills do. The nursing home apparently knows that.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And no one notices or keeps charts that she hasn't
- 8:02Speaker 1: had a bowel movement for weeks. And in turn, it
- 8:05Speaker 1: blows out her colon. And she dies as a result
- 8:08Speaker 1: of that. Is there any wonder why there should be
- 8:11Speaker 1: a lawsuit? She was 60 years old, supposed to recover
- 8:13Speaker 1: from all this. Right.
- 8:15Speaker 4: What's the red flag warning?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Like four days without a bowel movement for somebody that's
- 8:21Speaker 2: 60 after surgery? I mean, there should be some kind
- 8:24Speaker 2: of checks and balances on all this.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I mean, it's.
- 8:30Speaker 2: During output when they give you fluids in your veins
- 8:36Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But I mean, it's clear to me. It would seem
- 8:40Speaker 1: to me that people just weren't paying attention. Is anybody
- 8:43Speaker 1: charting anything? Does anybody care? I mean, a lot of
- 8:47Speaker 1: times these rehab places, I don't know about this particular one,
- 8:51Speaker 1: the people are underpaid, they're short-staffed, there's too many patients.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But if you sent your 60-year-old person to rehab at
- 9:00Speaker 1: a place that had back surgery and they know they
- 9:02Speaker 1: are on pain pills and they can get constipated from
- 9:05Speaker 1: it and no one checks to see that she hasn't
- 9:08Speaker 1: had a bowel movement for weeks... Wouldn't you scratch your
- 9:11Speaker 1: head and say, this is why she died? And who's
- 9:14Speaker 1: going to be held accountable for that? When I read
- 9:17Speaker 1: stories like that, it's just frightening because it could happen
- 9:21Speaker 1: to anybody. When you hear stories like what happens to
- 9:26Speaker 1: some senior citizens and how they're treated in some of
- 9:29Speaker 1: these facilities. I know Christine Oliver, who's running for a
- 9:33Speaker 1: commissioner in Monning County and what's she says happened to
- 9:38Speaker 1: her mother in one of these facilities is eyeopening, you know,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and she has a lawsuit there as a, as a
- 9:44Speaker 1: result of it. I mean, you pay top dollar, you
- 9:47Speaker 1: should be getting compassionate care, attentive care.
- 9:51Speaker 2: It should be like common knowledge, you know, about the
- 9:55Speaker 2: whole pain pills causing constipation. I mean, if you went
- 9:58Speaker 2: to a mechanic and, the guy didn't realize that your
- 10:02Speaker 2: car doesn't have oil, it should be just a basic
- 10:06Speaker 2: thing going on there.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:08Speaker 2: But, Ron, I am not constipated.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It sounds like you are. I'm going to probably put
- 10:17Speaker 1: you on a laxative. You sound like you could be
- 10:20Speaker 1: constipated to me.
- 10:21Speaker 2: If I was constipated, Ronnie, I wouldn't have to go,
- 10:25Speaker 2: but I got to go.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Well, when you say you got to go, do you
- 10:28Speaker 3: have to go-go or never mind? Okay. You're on the air.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Ron Burr, Billy Goat. How you doing, buddy?
- 10:34Speaker 1: It's the man with the former Billy Goat beard who
- 10:37Speaker 1: looks a thousand percent better, folks. Now he shaved that
- 10:40Speaker 1: thing off. He's thin. He's handsome. He's much better as
- 10:43Speaker 1: a result of it. He doesn't look like a freak.
- 10:47Speaker 4: That's what my old shop foreman used to call me,
- 10:48Speaker 4: a freak.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 10:50Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Now you're back to normal.
- 10:53Speaker 5: You hit that one on the nose.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Well, I called to ask for a little prayer, Ron,
- 10:57Speaker 4: when you kneel down beside your bedside at night and
- 10:59Speaker 4: put your little mic cap on and you're nighty.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yes.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Pray for me because I'm having my hernia surgery July 14th.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Keep me in your prayers.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Now, once you have this done, you have to do
- 11:16Speaker 1: some rest and rehabilitation.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I mean, what do they say? You can't lift anything
- 11:20Speaker 3: heavier than like a milk jug for.
- 11:22Speaker 4: A period of time. So I think I might have
- 11:25Speaker 4: told you it's all liposcopic. So they're going to go
- 11:27Speaker 4: in with a scope and put the mesh in. And
- 11:30Speaker 4: now the surgeon is out at Cleveland Clinic. He tells
- 11:33Speaker 4: me at the two-week recovery time and In two weeks,
- 11:37Speaker 4: I'll be able to return back to work on light
- 11:39Speaker 4: duty and only lift maybe, I don't know, 10, 15 pounds.
- 11:42Speaker 4: So we'll see what happens. Just keep me in your
- 11:44Speaker 4: prayers because I'm not a big fan of the anesthesia
- 11:47Speaker 4: and not a big fan of knowing things. Plus, the
- 11:49Speaker 4: plus side, I'll be out, but they're also going to
- 11:53Speaker 4: put a breathing tube down me so they can control
- 11:55Speaker 4: my breathing. So I'm not, you know, I mean, getting
- 11:59Speaker 4: a little, getting a scope put through me, I don't care.
- 12:02Speaker 4: You know, that don't bother me, but the anesthesia and
- 12:04Speaker 4: all that, and hopefully everything goes well. They only say
- 12:06Speaker 4: it's about an hour of surgery.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but here's the rub, and I want you to
- 12:10Speaker 1: remember this. The man without the Billy Goat beard, even
- 12:13Speaker 1: though it's laparoscopic, it's still surgery. People get, I think
- 12:16Speaker 1: people often get... Where they don't view it as serious
- 12:21Speaker 1: as if we cut you open. It's still surgery and
- 12:25Speaker 1: you're still having a major procedure done. So don't discard
- 12:30Speaker 1: that because of technology. And the reality is they'll fix it.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And even though they said it's a two-week recovery, I
- 12:38Speaker 1: would say to you, you should be very cognizant of
- 12:41Speaker 1: not trying to lift too much for a much longer
- 12:46Speaker 1: period of time than what you're told. You do not
- 12:49Speaker 1: want to go through this again. You don't want the
- 12:51Speaker 1: surgery to fail. So I would not be lifting a
- 12:55Speaker 1: lot of stuff. What were you doing that caused this
- 12:57Speaker 1: in the first place?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Well, Ron, to be honest with you, I don't even know. So,
- 13:01Speaker 4: of course, you know, I work at a manufacturing plant.
- 13:05Speaker 4: So I do, I do a lot of lifting, a
- 13:07Speaker 4: lot of straining. There's a lot of things in my
- 13:10Speaker 4: job where I have to overreach and strain. And believe
- 13:14Speaker 4: it or not, what happened was I was just stepping
- 13:17Speaker 4: off the tow motor and I got the sharp pain
- 13:19Speaker 4: in my groin and it took me to my knees.
- 13:22Speaker 4: And I drove the tow motor back inside and went
- 13:25Speaker 4: in the bathroom and and undone my drawers, and there
- 13:29Speaker 4: it was, bulging out. And at first I thought maybe
- 13:32Speaker 4: it was a pulled muscle, and my shop foreman said
- 13:35Speaker 4: right off the bat, he's like, dude, you've got a hernia.
- 13:37Speaker 4: And I waited. I waited until Wednesday because I came
- 13:41Speaker 4: home for the Memorial Day weekend. It was fine. You
- 13:44Speaker 4: didn't know it was there. There was just a little
- 13:47Speaker 4: bump there. It was fine. I went back to work
- 13:50Speaker 4: on Wednesday, and that thing stirred.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It can cause you a major problem and infection if
- 13:55Speaker 1: you don't get that addressed.
- 13:57Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Well, it's being addressed. I went and seen the surgeon
- 14:00Speaker 4: and got this. And it's also a workman's comp issue.
- 14:04Speaker 4: So the surgery is scheduled and just waiting on workman's
- 14:08Speaker 4: comp to approve it.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But I'm going to tell you once again. First of all,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm going to wish you the very best. And you're right.
- 14:16Speaker 1: A lot of times anesthesia is the most dangerous part
- 14:20Speaker 1: of a procedure. But with that being said, I'm going
- 14:23Speaker 1: to wish you the very best. And I want you
- 14:25Speaker 1: to call me and let me know how the outcome is.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And I want to make sure you take it easy
- 14:29Speaker 1: for a period of time.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Definitely going to be changing my ways.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Thank you, my friend.
- 14:35Speaker 8: Yep.
- 14:36Speaker 3: 570-WKBN. And guess what?
- 14:38Speaker 1: In all seriousness, I will be concerned about the man
- 14:42Speaker 1: with the Billy Goat beard, formerly the man with the
- 14:44Speaker 1: Billy Goat beard. Because, I mean, you know, it's a
- 14:48Speaker 1: strange relationship you get with people here that you talk
- 14:52Speaker 1: to with our regular callers and so many callers that
- 14:56Speaker 1: aren't even regular callers, aren't irregular callers as well as
- 14:59Speaker 1: regular callers. It's a strange relationship that you get. But
- 15:03Speaker 1: I will genuinely be concerned about him. And I do
- 15:06Speaker 1: want him to touch base when this is done and
- 15:08Speaker 1: let me know how his road to recovery is going.
- 15:11Speaker 1: And that's why I say to him, a lot of
- 15:13Speaker 1: times when you, like when they take your gallbladder out
- 15:17Speaker 1: and they used to have to cut you open and
- 15:18Speaker 1: now they can do it laparoscopically. And it's like, oh,
- 15:21Speaker 1: you got these cuts. Well, it was still, the surgery
- 15:23Speaker 1: still happened. It's just technology. You still got to take
- 15:26Speaker 1: it easy and recover from it. And as I said
- 15:32Speaker 1: to him, okay, well, don't just go back and start
- 15:35Speaker 1: lifting heavy stuff two months later. I mean, sometimes you
- 15:40Speaker 1: get into these problems because you're too stubborn to ask
- 15:43Speaker 1: for help. This is too heavy. I'm going to try
- 15:45Speaker 1: lifting it by myself. Or you just don't ask for help.
- 15:51Speaker 1: And sometimes you need to ask for help because back
- 15:53Speaker 1: problems are just a bugger to deal with. I mean,
- 15:57Speaker 1: you can get a major back problem. You can get
- 15:59Speaker 1: a hernia and so many problems that you can get
- 16:02Speaker 1: as a result of just not asking for some help
- 16:05Speaker 1: on doing something that needs done. And it catches up
- 16:07Speaker 1: to you as you, as you get older. So the
- 16:10Speaker 1: man formerly known as the man with the billy goat beard,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'll be thinking of you. I genuinely will wishing the
- 16:16Speaker 1: best for you. Make sure you touch base with us
- 16:18Speaker 1: and let, and let us know that you've been through
- 16:20Speaker 1: it and, and recovering. Did you see, uh, when I
- 16:25Speaker 1: talk about anesthesia, wait a second, did you see this
- 16:28Speaker 1: news story? Uh, about this guy that died.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Let me see. I got to bring this up.
- 16:43Speaker 1: About this guy that died from.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Going to get a tooth removed. I got to find,
- 16:52Speaker 3: I got to find this story for you.
- 16:54Speaker 1: So this guy, let's see, uh, This guy goes to
- 17:00Speaker 1: this prominent oral surgeon and dentist in Medina, is facing
- 17:09Speaker 1: severe state actions and investigations following the August 2023 medical
- 17:15Speaker 1: malpractice death of a patient. The state boards have determined
- 17:19Speaker 1: that his professional misconduct and failure to monitor anesthesia led
- 17:23Speaker 1: directly to the patient's fatal cardiac arrest. Well, this is
- 17:28Speaker 1: a highly publicized case of medical malpractice and negligence. He
- 17:32Speaker 1: has not been criminally charged with murder or intentionally killing patients. So,
- 17:40Speaker 1: but let's see. So this guy, I think, was an
- 17:45Speaker 1: oral surgeon or is an oral surgeon. So the patient's
- 17:48Speaker 1: a 48-year-old guy from Lorain County. And he went in
- 17:54Speaker 1: for a routine extraction of three teeth. Under general anesthesia.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Which is interesting because have you ever had like a
- 18:05Speaker 1: tooth pulled?
- 18:06Speaker 3: I have.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And I mean, they just kind of give you like
- 18:12Speaker 1: novocaine shots around it. I mean, they never knock me
- 18:15Speaker 1: out or pull some teeth out. They would always say,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know, I was wide awake during it all. They
- 18:23Speaker 1: give you the shots around it, and then, boom, they
- 18:26Speaker 1: pull it out, and I couldn't even tell what was
- 18:29Speaker 1: going on. You know, you were numb, and they pulled
- 18:31Speaker 1: the tooth out. No pain or anything like that. Those
- 18:35Speaker 1: of you that are listening, I'm sure some of you
- 18:36Speaker 1: have had your wisdom teeth removed and whatever other situation
- 18:40Speaker 1: you might have. I've never been knocked out by anesthesia
- 18:44Speaker 1: to have teeth pulled. But anyway, I guess some people...
- 18:49Speaker 1: I don't know why they do that, but so this
- 18:51Speaker 1: guy went in for routine extraction of three teeth under
- 18:54Speaker 1: general anesthesia. So the patient, who's 48 years old, stopped
- 19:01Speaker 1: breathing and suffered a heart attack during the procedure. He
- 19:05Speaker 1: passed away in a hospital four days later. The Ohio
- 19:10Speaker 1: State Dental Board investigation cited two primary failures in his care.
- 19:14Speaker 1: No pre-op evaluation. He failed to perform a thorough medical assessment.
- 19:18Speaker 1: of the patient's heart and lungs prior to administering sedation.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Inadequate monitoring. He failed to appropriately monitor the patient while
- 19:26Speaker 1: he was under general anesthesia.
- 19:30Speaker 3: And he altered the records.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Investigators also alleged the preoperative anesthesia records were altered after
- 19:35Speaker 1: the incident occurred. Now, this doctor previously held a prestigious
- 19:40Speaker 1: role teaching upcoming oral surgeons at Case Western Reserve University,
- 19:45Speaker 1: though he was removed from working with students following the incidents.
- 19:48Speaker 1: His attorney continues to defend his actions, and a civil
- 19:52Speaker 1: wrongful death lawsuit filed by the victim's widow is moving forward. So,
- 19:57Speaker 1: I mean, you know, isn't that an interesting case out
- 20:00Speaker 1: of Medina? But that's in, like, this oral surgeon's office.
- 20:06Speaker 1: So the guy died as a result of anesthesia. I
- 20:09Speaker 1: don't want to make the man with the billy goat
- 20:11Speaker 1: beard nervous because he'll be under a hospital-type setting or
- 20:17Speaker 1: surgical setting.
- 20:18Speaker 3: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 20:24Speaker 1: From News Radio 570 WKVN, Ron Ferb, you're on the air. Hello. Hi, Ron.
- 20:30Speaker 7: I'm going to be going back a little bit in
- 20:32Speaker 7: time here, which I wanted to talk about the... Palisades
- 20:37Speaker 7: fires in Los Angeles. You know, where 31 people died,
- 20:43Speaker 7: there were 16,000 structures that were burned to the ground.
- 20:47Speaker 7: There were 23,498 acres burned. $ 25 billion in costs. Schools damaged.
- 20:55Speaker 7: People had to leave. You know, thousands lost their homes.
- 21:01Speaker 7: How in the heck is Mayor Bass allowed to even
- 21:04Speaker 7: be on that election?
- 21:06Speaker 1: Well, okay, but here's a question you should ask more
- 21:10Speaker 1: than that. Who in their right mind voted for her? Because,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I mean, I don't have a problem with people voting
- 21:19Speaker 1: for her. I just think you're stupid to vote for her.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I'm not saying, to me, she's so blatantly incompetent. My
- 21:29Speaker 1: thought is why, she's just blatantly incompetent as far as
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm concerned.
- 21:33Speaker 7: So, My thought, Ron, is about accountability. She was responsible.
- 21:40Speaker 7: She was not even in Africa. She laughed about it, basically.
- 21:44Speaker 7: No accountability. She should not even have been allowed to
- 21:47Speaker 7: be put on the ballot. And the other lady, that
- 21:50Speaker 7: Nessa Raymond, she conceded to losing. And Spencer Pratt, who
- 21:56Speaker 7: really should have been elected. I mean, I understand a
- 21:59Speaker 7: lot of people don't vote, but there needs to be accountability.
- 22:03Speaker 2: She should..
- 22:04Speaker 7: She should not even have been allowed to be on
- 22:06Speaker 7: the ballot. So we need to make some laws. The
- 22:11Speaker 7: same thing with Governor Newsom. All the buildings he got from,
- 22:13Speaker 7: probably trillions from that rail that he was supposed to build,
- 22:17Speaker 7: you know, 10 years later, nothing to build. He shouldn't
- 22:19Speaker 7: be allowed to be on. You know, if you don't
- 22:22Speaker 7: do your job, why do you keep on getting rewarded?
- 22:26Speaker 7: I'm so angry about this, Ron. I know it's a
- 22:28Speaker 7: free country, but there has to be accountability.
- 22:31Speaker 1: See, I have a problem with it in the following sense.
- 22:34Speaker 1: She has a right to run for re-election. If you
- 22:39Speaker 1: have a problem with anybody, you should have a problem
- 22:41Speaker 1: with the idiots that voted for her. I mean, the
- 22:44Speaker 1: people that voted for her because she's blatantly incompetent when
- 22:48Speaker 1: it comes to the homeless issue, when it comes to
- 22:51Speaker 1: the fires. So if that's where your problem is, my
- 22:56Speaker 1: problem isn't that we should restrict her from being on
- 22:58Speaker 1: the ballot. I'm against that. My problem is that these
- 23:01Speaker 1: idiots actually voted for her and she does a terrible job, period.
- 23:05Speaker 1: And the woman that came in second, allegedly, first and foremost,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't like how they do the voting in California.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I don't like how they do the voting.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I think it's ridiculous, this whole idea of you have
- 23:17Speaker 1: a primary at the ballot box, and then you take
- 23:23Speaker 1: the two top contenders of the three, and now they've
- 23:27Speaker 1: got to run against each other. Well, wait a minute.
- 23:29Speaker 1: They're two Democrats. I mean, their whole process— It's just ridiculous.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So I have a problem with how they do it,
- 23:37Speaker 1: their elections in the first place. I have a problem
- 23:39Speaker 1: with the fact in California they mail everybody a ballot.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Everybody gets mailed a ballot. Everybody gets mailed a ballot,
- 23:46Speaker 1: and I think that's ridiculous. I think it's stupid.
- 23:49Speaker 3: So we mail everybody a ballot. You could be dead.
- 23:51Speaker 3: You could have moved. Who knows who's voting that ballot?
- 23:55Speaker 1: So do you think that that opens you up to
- 23:58Speaker 1: a lot of– Fraud that can take place. So my
- 24:04Speaker 1: problem is with the system. She can run. You're an
- 24:08Speaker 1: idiot to vote for her based on her results. You're
- 24:11Speaker 1: really an idiot to vote for the woman who supposedly
- 24:14Speaker 1: came in second based on what she had to say. Right.
- 24:20Speaker 1: But guess what? She came in second, allegedly. And Spencer
- 24:24Speaker 1: Pratt made the most sense of anybody involved in If
- 24:30Speaker 1: you're asking me, do I suspect, common sense tells me,
- 24:34Speaker 1: Kristen Walker isn't sitting here, a welker from the Meet
- 24:37Speaker 1: the Press, so I can say it. When she says,
- 24:40Speaker 1: what proof do you have, President Trump, that the election
- 24:43Speaker 1: was fixed or shenanigans took place? He should have said
- 24:46Speaker 1: to her, what proof do you have that it wasn't?
- 24:50Speaker 1: Because she can't say for certain that everything's on the
- 24:53Speaker 1: up and up. And she doesn't have any proof of that.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And she wants to question Trump when he says, I
- 24:59Speaker 1: smell a rat here. Listen, mailing everybody a ballot, who
- 25:04Speaker 1: votes it? Who got the ballot? What about the drop boxes?
- 25:09Speaker 1: It's just open to fraud. The whole process is open
- 25:12Speaker 1: to fraud. And I would lose total confidence in all
- 25:15Speaker 1: of it.
- 25:17Speaker 7: Knowing that, they're going to take 30 days to count,
- 25:19Speaker 7: over 30 days to count all these votes. And there
- 25:21Speaker 7: were 24,000 ballots that... Pratt didn't get one single vote.
- 25:26Speaker 7: I mean, come on, this was after, you know.
- 25:28Speaker 3: How is that mathematically possible?
- 25:31Speaker 2: It isn't.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 25:32Speaker 7: So that proves fraud right there.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I agree.
- 25:34Speaker 7: Come on, people, wake up. I mean, something has to
- 25:37Speaker 7: be done, you know, for accountability. Because, you know, Florida
- 25:41Speaker 7: gets all their votes in one day, you know, counted.
- 25:44Speaker 7: This is corruption to its utmost.
- 25:47Speaker 3: See, I don't disagree with anything.
- 25:49Speaker 1: The only thing I disagree with you saying is I
- 25:53Speaker 1: don't want more laws to say you can't be on
- 25:55Speaker 1: the ballot because you're incompetent and do a lousy job
- 25:59Speaker 1: if you decide to run for re-election. That's fine with me.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It is the United States of America. Once again, these
- 26:05Speaker 1: people are stupid enough to vote for her. That's what
- 26:09Speaker 1: the problem is. What we have today is the low
- 26:13Speaker 1: information voter. Voting in many cases becomes a popularity contest
- 26:18Speaker 1: as opposed to actually citizens being informed and casting an
- 26:22Speaker 1: educated vote in many cases. I don't see how anyone
- 26:27Speaker 1: could vote for either one of the two Democrats based
- 26:30Speaker 1: on what they stand for and based on their performance.
- 26:34Speaker 1: It is a disaster in California. And Pratt made sense
- 26:39Speaker 1: about everything. So to me, he's the guy to vote for.
- 26:45Speaker 1: But if you're asking me, do I think shenanigans took place? Yes.
- 26:50Speaker 1: How do you get 25,000 votes and not a single
- 26:53Speaker 1: one for Pratt? If that doesn't stink right there.
- 26:58Speaker 7: Well, that's how stupid they are. If they were smart,
- 27:00Speaker 7: the Democratic Party or whoever's doing this, okay, obviously it's them.
- 27:05Speaker 7: then you would at least put some in there for Pratt.
- 27:07Speaker 5: Right.
- 27:08Speaker 7: That's how blatant they are about, like, they think we're stupid.
- 27:12Speaker 7: You know, they don't even do it where it looks
- 27:15Speaker 7: like he got something. It doesn't make any sense, though. And, yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 7: Pratt should have got in. I've listened to him. I
- 27:20Speaker 7: support him. They're making fun of him because he was,
- 27:22Speaker 7: you know, on TV. It doesn't matter. He lost his home.
- 27:25Speaker 7: His mother and father lost their home. He was living
- 27:27Speaker 7: in a trailer.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I mean. He made the most sense, did he not,
- 27:30Speaker 1: of everyone running. He was the guy running to say this.
- 27:34Speaker 1: She was out of the country. The reservoir was empty
- 27:37Speaker 1: that we could have used to help put these fires out.
- 27:41Speaker 3: And it was purposely emptied.
- 27:41Speaker 7: It was purposely emptied.
- 27:43Speaker 1: The homeless problem has just gotten worse that she said
- 27:46Speaker 1: she would solve. All of this money is being spent
- 27:49Speaker 1: without accountability. The woman is completely, totally incompetent. The fact
- 27:54Speaker 1: that anybody legitimately would vote for her, they need their
- 27:58Speaker 1: head examined. Or that other woman that was crying who
- 28:01Speaker 1: conceded that you need your head examined for that.
- 28:05Speaker 3: So once again..
- 28:06Speaker 7: And not only that, she's getting paid. She's getting paid
- 28:09Speaker 7: for her incompetence.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I think the whole, if you ask me, do I
- 28:16Speaker 1: have confidence that that was a legitimate election?
- 28:20Speaker 3: I do not.
- 28:21Speaker 1: I think that whole system, first of all, it's up
- 28:25Speaker 1: to the party to have their primary. And then let's,
- 28:29Speaker 1: let's have a Republican run against the Democrats. Now, whoever
- 28:33Speaker 1: wins that election is, by whoever gets the majority votes,
- 28:38Speaker 1: that's your next governor or that's your next mayor.
- 28:42Speaker 3: But they don't do it like that in California.
- 28:44Speaker 1: They come up with this process, which makes it, I think,
- 28:49Speaker 1: more difficult for a Republican to ever win by saying, okay,
- 28:54Speaker 1: here's the primary. We got two Democrats and one Republican.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Now whoever comes in last is eliminated. Now we have
- 29:01Speaker 1: two Democrats running for mayor. And now you've got to
- 29:05Speaker 1: vote for one of those two.
- 29:07Speaker 7: This is stupid. It is stupid. It makes no sense.
- 29:11Speaker 7: I mean, you have to have one Republican and one Democrat.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Now, the good thing is, didn't that Hilton, the guy
- 29:16Speaker 1: who made the cut for governor?
- 29:17Speaker 8: Yes.
- 29:24Speaker 7: I pray he gets it. But yes, I was shocked
- 29:27Speaker 7: that there wasn't any corruption there.
- 29:30Speaker 1: But he makes a lot of good points. But I
- 29:34Speaker 1: agree with you. You can't tell me anywhere that you
- 29:39Speaker 1: mail everybody. a ballot, people die, people move, people become–
- 29:47Speaker 1: they can have mental issues. You have absolutely no idea
- 29:51Speaker 1: who's voting that ballot and if there's ballot harvesting– And
- 29:57Speaker 1: shenanigans are going on when you do something like that.
- 30:01Speaker 1: So they want fraud because that's how they can win.
- 30:05Speaker 1: And I think that whole election stinks. And I have
- 30:08Speaker 1: no faith in that system at all. And once again,
- 30:11Speaker 1: you see me at the press. Well, Kristen, why don't
- 30:13Speaker 1: you tell me why you have such confidence that there
- 30:16Speaker 1: weren't any shenanigans? Because I would have brought up all
- 30:18Speaker 1: those points if I were Trump. But she wants to
- 30:20Speaker 1: say to Trump, well, you have no proof. You have
- 30:22Speaker 1: no proof that it was like that. The election just
- 30:24Speaker 1: took place, for God's sakes.
- 30:27Speaker 7: Yes, but you know what else? They had proof. I
- 30:29Speaker 7: don't know if it was Nick Shirley or someone that
- 30:32Speaker 7: they have it on video where they were paying the
- 30:34Speaker 7: homeless people $ 10 to vote. They were filling out the
- 30:38Speaker 7: things for them. They were paying the money to vote
- 30:41Speaker 7: for who they wanted them to vote for.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Well, this is why you don't need an ID or
- 30:46Speaker 1: anything because we can get illegals to vote.
- 30:48Speaker 3: This is how they want to win elections.
- 30:51Speaker 7: They have proof. They have proof. And even with the proof,
- 30:53Speaker 7: they're still getting.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Away with it. It's California. I don't live there.
- 31:00Speaker 1: This is why, like I say, the Democrats want illegals
- 31:03Speaker 1: here because they want them to be able to vote,
- 31:06Speaker 1: and they want to do these shenanigans because that's how
- 31:08Speaker 1: they think they can stay in power.
- 31:12Speaker 7: I saw a survey last night that said that 53%
- 31:16Speaker 7: of the Democrats don't even want to live in the
- 31:18Speaker 7: United States. Well, let them leave. Let them go live
- 31:20Speaker 7: somewhere else. 53% of the Democrats would rather not be
- 31:24Speaker 7: living here.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I don't know about that.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Listen, the people that think that are opposed to capitalism,
- 31:31Speaker 1: this country has done more to change people's lives than
- 31:34Speaker 1: any other country. People have come here and still come
- 31:37Speaker 1: here today from these countries and they're poor and they
- 31:41Speaker 1: come here and they open up a restaurant. How many
- 31:45Speaker 1: Chinese restaurants do you see where people come here and
- 31:48Speaker 1: they work morning till night, seven days a week? And
- 31:52Speaker 1: they make money and they put their kid through college
- 31:55Speaker 1: and the kid becomes a doctor or a success. The
- 31:58Speaker 1: American dream still exists today for many immigrants that come
- 32:01Speaker 1: to this country that bring a work ethic when they
- 32:04Speaker 1: come to this country. Too many of my fellow Americans
- 32:08Speaker 1: think they're owed something. They're too lazy. They don't want
- 32:13Speaker 1: to put an effort forth because it's too hard. They
- 32:16Speaker 1: don't want to put a work ethic forth. And you
- 32:19Speaker 1: see many people that come from countries where it's very poor,
- 32:25Speaker 1: and they come here and they realize the great opportunities
- 32:28Speaker 1: they have. They don't bellyache about working. They're happy to
- 32:31Speaker 1: go to work. They're happy to get a paycheck. They
- 32:34Speaker 1: don't spend more than they make. They build for the future,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and they become American success stories because of capitalism. What
- 32:42Speaker 1: other country can that happen in? I can't think of
- 32:45Speaker 1: any country other than this country, and yet you have
- 32:48Speaker 1: many of these young people who think the answer is socialism,
- 32:51Speaker 1: which doesn't work anywhere, anywhere.
- 32:54Speaker 7: You know, I'm a little bit leery. You know, I
- 32:56Speaker 7: can't wait for the Fourth of July to celebrate our freedoms,
- 32:58Speaker 7: but I hope to God it doesn't get out of
- 33:01Speaker 7: hand with people ruining it.
- 33:03Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 33:03Speaker 7: The ones that don't want it, the ones that hate
- 33:05Speaker 7: this country. You know, we want it. patriotism, you know,
- 33:10Speaker 7: and they could very well destroy that beautiful.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I say to you, even now, this is a great country.
- 33:15Speaker 1: When I, when, probably when you were young and I
- 33:17Speaker 1: was young, if you wanted to be in the trades,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you had to know somebody because it was so hard
- 33:22Speaker 1: to get into the trades today. They're begging for young
- 33:25Speaker 1: kids to come join the trades where you'll make a
- 33:27Speaker 1: good living the rest of your life. It was, it
- 33:30Speaker 1: was hard to get into the post office, hard to
- 33:32Speaker 1: get into the police department, hard to get into the
- 33:34Speaker 1: fire department, but, Hard to get into the trades. Hard
- 33:36Speaker 1: to get into General Motors. Hard to get into Ford. Today,
- 33:40Speaker 1: young people have great opportunities in front of them where
- 33:42Speaker 1: these places are begging for people to come work for them.
- 33:46Speaker 1: And they give you a good wage, good benefits, good retirement.
- 33:50Speaker 1: And the opportunities have never been better for young people
- 33:53Speaker 1: that are out there today versus when I was a
- 33:56Speaker 1: young man.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Take advantage of it.
- 34:02Speaker 7: That was my statement for today. Thank you for making it.
- 34:05Speaker 7: There's so much to talk about, but yeah, that really
- 34:08Speaker 7: bothers me. There needs to be some accountability and some
- 34:10Speaker 7: kind of laws. I don't know. She should have no right.
- 34:14Speaker 3: All right. Well, thank you.
- 34:16Speaker 7: I know we have our freedoms, but still, something has
- 34:19Speaker 7: to be done.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Well, you've got to blame the voters. Thank you.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I mean, it's the voters. I can't explain California. I
- 34:26Speaker 1: can't explain why. It's the low information voter. The woman
- 34:30Speaker 1: has done a horrific job. Why would anyone vote for her?
- 34:36Speaker 1: It's beyond me. And the woman running against her, who's
- 34:44Speaker 1: also a Democrat, also a terrible job. Their ideas suck.
- 34:49Speaker 1: It doesn't work. It's just terrible. You know, it's just terrible.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I can't explain to you that voter. I simply can't
- 35:05Speaker 1: explain to you that voter. I mean, you deserve better
- 35:13Speaker 1: than that. Spencer Pratt, I thought, was making an argument
- 35:18Speaker 1: as to how horrible a job these people have done
- 35:21Speaker 1: and what he would do different. And boy, I would
- 35:24Speaker 1: have voted for him and say, I'll give this guy
- 35:26Speaker 1: a shot at it. But this counting, this, oh, we're
- 35:35Speaker 1: going to keep counting ballots. It's a joke. It's an
- 35:41Speaker 1: absolute joke. And then how can he have 25,000 ballots
- 35:46Speaker 1: and enjoy? Pratt doesn't get a single vote. What an oddity. Mathematically,
- 35:51Speaker 1: that's impossible. So I think the whole thing is a
- 35:54Speaker 1: sham for that.
- 35:54Speaker 3: I think he was..
- 35:59Speaker 1: I'm all for voter ID. First of all, I think
- 36:01Speaker 1: you've got to be a citizen to vote. You can't
- 36:04Speaker 1: be here illegally. You've got to have proof of citizenship
- 36:07Speaker 1: to vote. You should have to produce an ID. We
- 36:13Speaker 1: should have confidence in our voting systems. And quite frankly,
- 36:18Speaker 1: I think we're starting to lose confidence in our judiciary
- 36:20Speaker 1: as well as our voting system. We're getting too many
- 36:23Speaker 1: judges that are sitting there as politicians with a political
- 36:26Speaker 1: bent as opposed to just ruling on justice itself. And
- 36:33Speaker 1: we're starting to see that in so many fields today.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Towns News, Weather and Talk Station, 570 WKBN. It's Ron
- 36:43Speaker 1: Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning at 555 here on
- 36:46Speaker 1: a Wednesday, June 10th. It's a hot human, 189 degrees.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Honored to be with you. You're on the air.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Hey, Ron. Let me get my word out, okay? I'm talking.
- 36:58Speaker 5: You're listening. 570 WKBN.
- 37:03Speaker 3: That's good. That's good. That's good.
- 37:06Speaker 5: Let me finish before you ferment all over me.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Yes, sir. I'll stand by.
- 37:11Speaker 5: I like that word, ferment, now. We're using that a
- 37:14Speaker 5: lot in the news, ferment. Anyhow, this thing with this
- 37:20Speaker 5: black child, you know, that's going to jail for 35 years.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 37:25Speaker 5: A lot of people are outside screaming racism.
- 37:28Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't understand that. I mean, the guy gets
- 37:32Speaker 5: a knife, stabs somebody because he's got a different color skin.
- 37:35Speaker 5: You know, what, let him go? And then let him
- 37:39Speaker 5: go rob a 7-Eleven.
- 37:41Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 37:43Speaker 1: Would those people be out there protesting if the guy
- 37:47Speaker 1: was white that stabbed the kid black?
- 37:49Speaker 3: Or would they say... He should have been sentenced to death.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I mean, race really had nothing to do with this
- 37:56Speaker 1: at all. They asked him 15 times to leave the tent.
- 37:59Speaker 1: This was at a track meet that he didn't belong
- 38:01Speaker 1: in and he didn't listen. And so the kid gives
- 38:04Speaker 1: him a push out of the tent and he turns
- 38:06Speaker 1: around and stabs him as opposed to leaving.
- 38:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I understand.
- 38:10Speaker 3: I mean, he should have been sentenced to, I mean,
- 38:14Speaker 3: what he did, he killed that kid.
- 38:15Speaker 5: He should have got the chair.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Well, 35 years is 35 years.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Going to jail, he's going to realize the stupidity of
- 38:24Speaker 1: what he did.
- 38:25Speaker 5: Yeah, but 17 and a half.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but still.
- 38:29Speaker 1: I mean, 35 years, I'm comfortable with that because I'm
- 38:35Speaker 1: one of those people, I don't think anybody wants to
- 38:37Speaker 1: go To the lockup where he's going, I mean, your
- 38:41Speaker 1: life is going to be miserable. I mean, if only
- 38:44Speaker 1: you could think before you do some of this stupid
- 38:47Speaker 1: stuff when it comes to these violent crimes. Sometimes we
- 38:50Speaker 1: lock people up we shouldn't be locking up that don't
- 38:54Speaker 1: commit violent crimes.
- 38:58Speaker 5: You don't go to a sports event with a knife.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Well, it was a pocket knife. But the bottom line
- 39:04Speaker 1: is you don't pull it out and stab someone. You
- 39:07Speaker 1: don't sit there saying, I don't belong here. I've been
- 39:10Speaker 1: asked to leave. I'm so cocky that I'm going to
- 39:13Speaker 1: tell them, no, I'm not leaving. Then when one of
- 39:15Speaker 1: the kids at the track meet pushes me out of
- 39:17Speaker 1: their team tent, I'm going to grab a knife and
- 39:20Speaker 1: stab them in the chest. That's all you need to
- 39:23Speaker 1: know about what happened. It had nothing to do with
- 39:25Speaker 1: black and white. It had to do with the bottom
- 39:27Speaker 1: line that this kid basically murdered that other kid and
- 39:30Speaker 1: he should have walked away.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Yeah. Now, on another note, you think Trump's going to
- 39:35Speaker 5: go in full blast?
- 39:37Speaker 1: I don't know what his options are. I don't know
- 39:41Speaker 1: that that will fix the.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Problem at all.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I mean, you know where I'm at on it. I
- 39:46Speaker 1: don't think he ever should have done this in the
- 39:48Speaker 1: first place. I think he's in a mess right now.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I think this thing is a quagmire, as Rich the
- 39:55Speaker 1: pharmacist calls it. I think he's got a major mess
- 39:57Speaker 1: on his hands. I don't know that there's an easy
- 40:00Speaker 1: way out of this.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Stand by for me. Stand by. That's a great question.
- 40:07Speaker 3: We'll talk about it after the break, all right? Hang
- 40:09Speaker 3: in there.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Bubba Ganoush on the end of the line. I want
- 40:11Speaker 1: to talk to him about that because he asked a
- 40:13Speaker 1: great question about that, and I want to have an
- 40:15Speaker 1: exchange with him. Take more of your calls. We're here
- 40:17Speaker 1: tonight until 7. We're on Verb News Radio 570 WQEN.
- 40:25Speaker 8: From ABC News, I'm Chuck Severson. The bombings just started again.
- 40:30Speaker 8: The U.S. attacking Iran again, announced less than half an
- 40:32Speaker 8: hour ago. President Trump this morning said the U.S. would
- 40:35Speaker 8: attack by air again and cited Iran's shooting down a U.S. helicopter,
- 40:41Speaker 8: for which he already ordered retaliation attacks last night, then
- 40:44Speaker 8: saying the U.S. would attack again tonight.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Well, we're going to be attacking them, attacking them very hard.
- 40:50Speaker 3: You're resuming bombing?
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we are.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Based on the helicopter, I guess we have the right
- 40:55Speaker 3: to do that. The U.S.
- 40:55Speaker 8: Military Central Command in Florida announcing the air attacks are
- 40:58Speaker 8: in response to Iran's unwarranted and continued aggressions. From CENTCOM
- 41:03Speaker 8: earlier at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, Defense
- 41:06Speaker 8: Secretary Pete Hegseth echoing another reason Trump gave today.
- 41:10Speaker 4: CENTCOM, Central Command, will be busy tonight because President Trump
- 41:14Speaker 4: said we will be hitting Iran hard and we will be.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Because Iran has a chance to make a.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Good deal, a great deal, to codify what they said.
- 41:24Speaker 4: They've been willing to do and they haven't been willing
- 41:26Speaker 4: to do it.
- 41:26Speaker 8: New air attacks between Iran and the U.S. have led
- 41:28Speaker 8: to oil prices going up today. and Wall Street stock
- 41:31Speaker 8: indexes closing sharply lower. President Trump on social media says
- 41:36Speaker 8: a secret mission last month allowed hundreds of oil tankers
- 41:39Speaker 8: to travel through the Strait of Hormuz. This after reporters
- 41:42Speaker 8: at the White House asked about the latest report showing
- 41:45Speaker 8: the highest inflation in three years.
- 41:47Speaker 2: I love the inflation.
- 41:48Speaker 3: You know why?
- 41:49Speaker 8: And then he talked about the oil tankers expecting higher
- 41:51Speaker 8: inflation to stay with us for a while for things
- 41:54Speaker 8: like groceries, fuel, and clothing. Bankrate analyst Stephen Cates.
- 41:58Speaker 6: Those are things that people are not necessarily going to
- 42:00Speaker 6: be able to avoid. They may not have the ability
- 42:02Speaker 6: to find lower-cost substitutions. It's going to be difficult for
- 42:07Speaker 6: people to sidestep these things without simply going without.
- 42:10Speaker 8: President Trump signed into law a $ 70 billion funding bill
- 42:13Speaker 8: for immigration enforcement, including ICE. Tonight's the fourth game of
- 42:17Speaker 8: the NBA Finals. New York Knicks lead the series two
- 42:19Speaker 8: games to one. You're listening to ABC News.
