Transcript
- 0:04SPEAKER_03: Okay, here we go.
- 0:05SPEAKER_03: Episode 113.
- 0:07SPEAKER_03: This is The Opinionated Ogre Podcast,
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: your weekly rampage to current events with a little snark,
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: a bit of foul language, and a lot of strong opinions.
- 0:14SPEAKER_03: There are new episodes every Thursday,
- 0:16SPEAKER_03: and they're not safe for work or polite company of any kind whatsoever.
- 0:19SPEAKER_03: I am your podcast host, The Opinionated Ogre, and this is my co-host, Florida Woman.
- 0:25SPEAKER_03: Hello, Florida Woman.
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: How are you this week?
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Good morning, everyone.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: I am excellent this week because guess what week it is?
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Back to school week?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Football week.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Soccer?
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Get out of my face.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Well,
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: we here at The Opinionated Ogre Podcast want to wish everyone a happy $100 Barrel
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: of Oil Day.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Congratulations, everybody.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: It's awesome.
- 0:56SPEAKER_03: And diesel is at an all-time historic high, passing $5.90 for the first time ever.
- 1:03SPEAKER_03: Is that not worth celebrating?
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: What?
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, that must be why gas was suddenly $4.20 here.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: And I was looking at diesel prices.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I was like, damn, $5.50 seems like a lot.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Or it was like $5.65.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I was like, that is crazy.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: And it's...
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: It's still going up.
- 1:23SPEAKER_03: And it's going to keep going up because we've already drained our Strategic Petrolling Reserve.
- 1:28SPEAKER_03: So, I mean, we can keep drawing the dregs, but there's not a whole lot left we can get to.
- 1:34SPEAKER_03: And it's getting more difficult to pump it because...
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: We've damaged the caves,
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: the salt caves that it's all sitting in because we've been pumping it for months
- 1:43SPEAKER_03: and months and months.
- 1:44SPEAKER_03: And we're getting to the bottom of what we can actually physically pump out.
- 1:50SPEAKER_03: The military is probably screwing.
- 1:51SPEAKER_03: We still need some for us.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: Please stop doing that.
- 1:56SPEAKER_03: Over the summer,
- 1:58SPEAKER_03: Trump signed an executive order allowing guest agents to add ethanol early,
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: even though we don't do that during the summer because it really...
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: Just annihilates air quality during the summer, but he did it anyway.
- 2:11SPEAKER_03: Now we are, I believe, out of mitigation efforts.
- 2:15SPEAKER_03: That's one of the reasons that the price of gas was not skyrocketing earlier in
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: the year, even though the Straight Up Hormuz was still closed.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: So...
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we don't have anything left to keep the price of gas from spiraling out of control.
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: The Strait of Hormuz is still closed.
- 2:33SPEAKER_03: The Houthis are closing.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: Shit, what's the other Strait?
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: They're bottlenecking another Strait.
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: That has more oil going through it.
- 2:42SPEAKER_03: It's not as much oil, but it's still another strategic route.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: And we've got nothing left to keep the price of oil from spiraling out of control here.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: Wow, look at that.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: There's still two months left to the election.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: Didn't we predict this?
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: We kind of did.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Right again.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, look at that.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: Trump's a moron because people,
- 3:05SPEAKER_03: shit, we're just two idiots sitting at like our couches and our desks on laptops.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: And we saw this coming months ago.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: I'm sure people way smarter than us with access to much more better intelligence
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: and data and all the graphs and charts and said,
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: hey, this isn't going to work out if you keep fucking with them.
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: And he just kept doing it anyway.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: So...
- 3:29SPEAKER_03: Good luck because the price of gas is just going to keep going up now.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, don't say that to me.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I drive so much.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I am not driving nearly as much anymore because I don't have to.
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm going to be driving down to Richmond once or twice a month.
- 3:45SPEAKER_03: So, you know, daily not driving as much distance driving.
- 3:50SPEAKER_03: That's going up.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: So, not great for me either, but that's where we are.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: And Trump is just a strategic genius.
- 3:58SPEAKER_03: What a masterful gambit this is.
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: It's going to go so great for him.
- 4:02SPEAKER_03: And also, the northern states are starting to get hit with winter weather already.
- 4:06SPEAKER_03: They're getting some snowstorms up there, which means they're hitting the heat.
- 4:10SPEAKER_03: They're turning their heat on.
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: What's that going to look like when they get their heating bills?
- 4:15SPEAKER_03: They're going to be through the roof.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: And there's going to be a whole lot of articles about the sticker shock
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: because people are they're not thinking about that right now.
- 4:23SPEAKER_03: They're just thinking about how much they're paying at the gas station
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: and not how much heating oil is going to cost.
- 4:30SPEAKER_03: And when that hits, oh, boy, people are going to be pissed.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: And that's going to be right when they're going to vote.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: So good luck, Republicans.
- 4:39SPEAKER_03: You're going to fucking need it.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I guess Florida is supposed to have a wet, cold winter, a wet, chilly winter.
- 4:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you guys turn on the heat when it drops below like 70 degrees.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: No, listen,
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: I turn on the heat to get the chill out of the air in the morning,
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: but I don't run the heat at night because it messes up my nose, so I'll be okay.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: Alright, let's get started.
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: This is a recording for September 10th,
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: 2026, and we have a lot to get to on episode 113 of the OggPod.
- 5:11SPEAKER_03: We ready to do this?
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Fuck yeah, we are.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: Woo!
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: Alright, then let's get to it.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: It's time for the Oga Nation news update.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: Roar!
- 5:23SPEAKER_03: Friday is the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: Yay!
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: It's been a quarter of a century, and it is still fucking things up all over the place.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: Osama bin Laden must be laughing.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: Republicans,
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: for their part,
- 5:50SPEAKER_03: they've been trying to recapture the momentum they had in the aftermath ever since
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: then.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: You have to remember,
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: in the days after 9-11,
- 5:59SPEAKER_03: everyone rallied around George W.
- 6:02SPEAKER_03: Bush and gave him a blank, him and his party of people.
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: Dirtbags, absolute carte blanche to do any fucking thing they wanted.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: And anyone who said, hey,
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: that's kind of illegal or that's not in the Constitution or maybe don't fucking do
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: that.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Republicans desperately want.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: To get back to that place of unlimited power to do whatever they wanted
- 6:43SPEAKER_03: by smearing everybody who opposes them as anti-government extremism.
- 6:48SPEAKER_03: So that's what they're trying to do now.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: They're trying to label anything.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: We on the left do as anti-government extremism.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: They're trying to criminalize all dissent.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: And somehow, this now includes supporting trans kids.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: They're literally trying to label this.
- 7:07SPEAKER_03: This is from The Guardian.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: Just
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: the idea that saying, yeah,
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: trans people exist and leave fucking trans kids alone,
- 7:37SPEAKER_03: just leave them the fuck alone,
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: will lead us to political violence and left-wing authoritarianism.
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: The goal here, like I just said, is to recreate the heyday of post-9-11 panic.
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: It's hard for people to remember just how much power Republicans wielded afterwards.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: They were on just a nonstop rampage.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: They spied on mobsters.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: They were arresting Muslims without real cause or any cause.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: They were just arresting them for being Muslim.
- 8:14SPEAKER_03: There was widespread hysteria and just Republicans had unchecked power for years and
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: the press loved it.
- 8:23SPEAKER_03: They played along with it just like they always do.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, speaking of Muslims, they're really going after Mamdani right now.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: They tried to bring that lovely feeling of bigotry back.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 8:37SPEAKER_03: No, they've been pounding the tables for that
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: one.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: And the press is allowing it to happen.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Mom, Dani,
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: what do you think about Rudy Giuliani saying that you shouldn't be on
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: the 25th anniversary of 9-11?
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Like, why the fuck are you even asking that question?
- 8:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, really.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Why are you giving it airtime?
- 8:54SPEAKER_03: Rudy Giuliani,
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: one of the guys who was deeply involved with the attack on the Capitol
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: on January 6th, you're going to ask him.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: You're going to listen to that guy about 9-11 and what we should be doing about a Muslim.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: Why does he have any credibility at all?
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: Why are we even talking about him?
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: America's mayor of my ass.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: And then we're finding out how they knew that the air was toxic at
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: the World Trade Center a month later.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: And they lied about it.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: For 25 years.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: They knew people were going to get sick and they just said, yeah, don't say anything.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they didn't give a shit.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: And let's not forget all of the anti-immigrant sentiment that came after 9-11.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: If you ask immigrants who experienced 9-11 America before and after,
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: they will tell you that they turned against.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: In the post 9-11 America to attack immigrants.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: We all know Steve King and the watermelons for the legs for the immigrants.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Cantaloupes.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Was it cantaloupes?
- 10:17SPEAKER_03: It was cantaloupes.
- 10:17SPEAKER_03: They have cantaloupes.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: Their calves are like cantaloupes from carrying all the drugs.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: And then George W.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Bush and his caucus passed the Real ID Act,
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: which stripped undocumented immigrants of their driver's licenses
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: because somehow it was undocumented immigrants' fault that legal immigrants came
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: into the United States and got driver's licenses and then took flight lessons,
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Becoming a U.S.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: citizen through marriage became incredibly difficult if one of
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: the spouses was undocumented.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: So weird, so weird.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Throwing immigrants in cages became the norm in a post-9-11 world.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: And every single president after 9-11 was guilty of it.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Yes, guys, even Obama.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: I'm so sorry.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: But Trump made that even worse.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: He took it to the final level, like the boss level.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: And now 25 years later,
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: the mass deportation of immigrants from around the world is taking place in the name
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: of national security.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: We gotta get them.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Al-Qaeda might be coming in through the mortar.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: But, I mean, it's just an excuse for them to indulge their white nationalism.
- 11:45SPEAKER_03: That's all it ever was.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: That's all it ever was.
- 11:49SPEAKER_03: These people—and one of the things—and I've talked about this before—all
- 11:55SPEAKER_03: the Americans— They're not doing it because it's the anniversary of 9-11.
- 11:58SPEAKER_03: They're doing it because they just needed another group to circle around to.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: They had to find another group, right?
- 12:26SPEAKER_03: They wore out the trans thing and they can't keep bashing Latino immigrants
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: because that's playing really badly with the public.
- 12:33SPEAKER_03: So now they're back to Islamophobia.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: That's one of the closing messages for this year's midterm.
- 12:38SPEAKER_03: And you're right back to where you were 25 years ago.
- 12:41SPEAKER_03: Nothing's changed except you helped put them back.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: Because you thought you could get on their good side.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: If you just helped them, they would accept you.
- 13:01SPEAKER_03: But they'll never accept you because they're white nationalists
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: and you're white Christian nationalists.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: You're not white and you're not Christian.
- 13:10SPEAKER_03: So good job, guys.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: Great.
- 13:13SPEAKER_03: Again, well thought strategic planning there.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: Everything's working out for you really, really well.
- 13:20SPEAKER_03: The thing about this, right,
- 13:21SPEAKER_03: the newest innovation on the war on everyone who's not a Republican is
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: the rampant abuse of calling everything anti-Semitism.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: We've been watching this for the last two years, three years.
- 13:34SPEAKER_03: They're starting to use the label anti-Christian the same way.
- 13:41SPEAKER_03: Everything is anti-Christian, anti-Christian.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: The alt-left has been helping.
- 13:47SPEAKER_03: I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure they're doing this deliberately.
- 13:49SPEAKER_03: But they've been working with the far right to whip a patriot of Jews for the regime
- 13:54SPEAKER_03: to use as a cover to stomp on civil liberties.
- 13:58SPEAKER_03: There's no way this wasn't coordinated.
- 14:01SPEAKER_03: This whole freak out on the Right.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: From the far left, it's like, that just reeks of coordination.
- 14:22SPEAKER_03: The whole thing is just a fucking rat-fucking operation.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: We've been talking about this for years.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: No one wants to hear this because it's inconvenient.
- 14:31SPEAKER_03: But the rat-fucking's been non-stop.
- 14:35SPEAKER_03: Antisemitism's the oldest racism there is,
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: and it's so deeply ingrained,
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: most people don't even see it when it's coming out of their mouths.
- 14:43SPEAKER_03: But it's working.
- 14:45SPEAKER_03: The far left, quote unquote, just makes it a thing.
- 14:50SPEAKER_03: And then the right jumps in and goes, oh, we have to defend it.
- 14:53SPEAKER_03: And oh, boy,
- 14:55SPEAKER_03: there's just so much of this anti-Semitism and anti-Christian sentiment all over
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: the left and blah, blah, blah.
- 15:01SPEAKER_03: And they're just starting to conflate it.
- 15:04SPEAKER_03: There's just a few minor differences, though.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: Christians are not an ethnic group.
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: As an American,
- 15:11SPEAKER_03: under my First Amendment rights,
- 15:14SPEAKER_03: I am allowed to trash talk religion all the fuck I want because
- 15:18SPEAKER_03: that is my goddamn right as an American.
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: I don't have to be nice about your religion.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: Because as an atheist, I think religion is dumb.
- 15:28SPEAKER_03: I can trash talk Christians.
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: I can trash talk Muslims.
- 15:31SPEAKER_03: And I can trash talk Judaism, too.
- 15:34SPEAKER_03: I'm Jewish, and I still think the religion's stupid.
- 15:36SPEAKER_03: They're all stupid.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: But anti-Semitism is not the same as being anti-Christian.
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: Because anti-Semitism isn't trashing the religion.
- 15:47SPEAKER_03: That's trashing the people.
- 15:50SPEAKER_03: And even when I trash Christians, I'm not trashing them as a people.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: I'm trashing their religion.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: I'm not talking about their race.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: I'm not talking about their ethnicity.
- 16:00SPEAKER_03: I'm talking about their religion.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Specifically, the more radical parts of their religion.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but even if I just,
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: if I'm being super,
- 16:11SPEAKER_03: super annoying atheist, it was like, oh, you're worshiping an invisible person.
- 16:15SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm being like, you know, really annoying about it, which I generally don't do.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: But still, it's not their race.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: It's not their ethnicity.
- 16:23SPEAKER_03: It's still just their religion and what they believe in, which, again, voluntary.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: It's not an innate thing about them.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: When people scream about Jews, they're not screaming about their religion.
- 16:37SPEAKER_03: They're screaming about them being Jewish.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: And they don't care if they're religious or Israeli.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: They just scream about them being Jewish.
- 16:46SPEAKER_03: And that's not the same fucking thing.
- 16:48SPEAKER_03: And I'm sick and tired of arguing with people about that because they know what they're doing.
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: These are the people who tell me Jews aren't an ethnicity.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: And I'm like, yeah, we are.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: I have a fucking DNA test that says otherwise.
- 17:02SPEAKER_03: I can show it to you.
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: And they just don't want to hear it because it fucks up their narrative
- 17:07SPEAKER_03: about how they can scream about how much they hate Jews.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: Too fucking bad.
- 17:12SPEAKER_03: You want to bitch about the religion?
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: Go for it.
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: I'll be happy to stand there right now with you.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: It's like, yeah, their religion is dumb.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: Israel?
- 17:19SPEAKER_03: Israel has a government of war criminals.
- 17:22SPEAKER_03: But that's half the time that is not what they're talking about.
- 17:26SPEAKER_03: And they make it very, very fucking clear that's not what they're talking about.
- 17:29SPEAKER_03: And that's the difference.
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: Putting aside the racism,
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: the people who just want to scream about how much they hate Israel,
- 17:39SPEAKER_03: but really,
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: we know you're talking about Jewish people because of the way you fucking talk
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: about them.
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: You're not helping Gaza and you're not helping Palestinians.
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: You're not even helping to curb Israel's bloodlust.
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: You're not helping to stop their genocide.
- 17:53SPEAKER_03: You're helping the fascists and you're being used to help advance their agenda.
- 17:59SPEAKER_03: You're just too stupid and blinded by your own hate to see.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: When the fighting in Gaza is over and the people
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: of Israel finally pull down their far-right government,
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: because that will happen sooner or later.
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: No far-right government lasts forever.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: But you're going to look around and you're going to be like, oh, shit.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: What happened?
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: How did we give the far right of our country the power to call me a terrorist?
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: What happened here?
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: And you're going to wonder.
- 18:25SPEAKER_03: You're going to be confused.
- 18:26SPEAKER_03: But we are not going to be confused because we've been telling you this for a long time.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: You don't want to listen, though, because we're just Zionist puppets.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: What the fuck do we know?
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: You're not helping anyone except the Republicans.
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: Be more discerning in your fucking criticism.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: Think about what you're fucking saying.
- 18:48SPEAKER_03: If you want to criticize Israel, go for it.
- 18:50SPEAKER_03: There's tons to criticize.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: But if you can't separate the criticism from your fucking hatred of Jews,
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: you're the problem and you fucking know it.
- 19:00SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: We got to move on here.
- 19:03SPEAKER_03: Otherwise, we're going to be at this like another 45 minutes.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Alrighty then.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: So the Republican brother of a Republican somebody,
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to say who, real pedophile here.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: No, he got fucking he got tossed out for being a fucking pedophile.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, OK, good.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: That was not that was not.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: I thought you were just trying to, you know, erase any possibility of us ever having sponsors.
- 19:34SPEAKER_03: No, that was not conjecture on my part.
- 19:37SPEAKER_03: That guy was disgraced for being a fucking pedophile.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, my God.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: All righty, then.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: I was wondering, it's like, no, I definitely wrote pedophile.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: Why is the word pedophile missing from my notes here?
- 19:47SPEAKER_03: No, because I wanted to.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: I was like, what the fuck?
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: It's like, why are you doing this to me?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So the Republican brother of a Republican pedophile tried to kill Amy Acton,
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: the Democratic nominee for governor in Ohio.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I have feelings about her, but she is her candidate.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: 38-year-old Patrick Habas,
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: the brother of a GOP political operative that apparently has been disgraced
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: for now anyway.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Pushed his way through a crowd at a campaign event and tried to attack Acton.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: The Democratic nominee who was running against Doge OG, Vivek Ramaswamy.
- 20:24SPEAKER_03: Who doesn't even live in Ohio.
- 20:26SPEAKER_03: So it's like, what the fuck is he doing?
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Well, he thought it would be an easy one.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: She helped take care of people after Havis injured them as he attempted to get
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: to her because he pushed down a bunch of old people to get to her
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: and they got injured from falling.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Police arrested Havis and searched him.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: They found two guns, brass knuckles, and a taser.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: I'm sure he wasn't going to do anything with those.
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: Oh, no, I'm sure he was just there to get her autograph, shake her hand.
- 20:50SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Sign my gun, please.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: None of his weapons were used.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: It's pretty clear what his intentions were.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Interestingly, the press seems to be doing everything in its power to downplay the attack.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: Is it even in the fucking headlines anymore?
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: I don't even think it is.
- 21:07SPEAKER_03: I think it's already gone.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: It's gone.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: The Republican attacker is not being called a domestic terrorist.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: What?
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: No.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Even though he had guns and lunch for Acton.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Remember when the guy was caught with a gun at one of Trump's golf courses
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: and every news organization claimed
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: that Trump had survived another assassination attempt?
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: And wasn't Trump not even at the golf course at the time?
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: No, I believe he was at the golf course.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: But Pepperidge Farm remembers.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: The legacy press has also been curiously quiet about Republican rhetoric.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: Members of the press haven't cornered Republican lawmakers
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: and asked them what they think about the hate speech spewed out
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: of their party members' mouths.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Trump isn't being hounded.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Well, it ruins the narrative because they can't blame both sides.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Instead of it being another example of Republican violence,
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: which there have been many, it's being treated as an
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: isolated incident.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: just like the lone wolf Republican shooters that go after Black people and Hispanics
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: and Yeah,
- 22:37SPEAKER_03: never mind that they're radicalized by,
- 22:39SPEAKER_03: you know, AM hate radio and right-wing hate sites.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: They don't talk about that.
- 22:43SPEAKER_03: It's never anyone's fault.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: It's just, this guy got radicalized.
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: We don't know how.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: We have no idea why he tried to lunge at Acton.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Why would he do something like that?
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: He was just trying to talk to her.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: It's no big deal.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: It just takes a lot in me to deal with these fucking people all the time.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: It's important to contrast this with the weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: and weeks of tone policing Democrats were subjected to after the last very real
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: and totally not staged assassination attempt at
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: the White House Correspondents' Dinner, which was so real and not even staged.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Even when Trump's own base was unconvinced by it, it was very real.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 23:29SPEAKER_03: Everyone totally believed it.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: As real as, you know, his ear getting shot off.
- 23:34SPEAKER_03: And miraculously growing back.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: With no scars.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Please, somebody go get me my pad so I can put it on my ear.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: After that, the press estimated that Democrats apologized and turned the temperature down.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: But there's not been a peep from them after the latest outburst of Republican violence.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: And as we always say, Republicans are not held to a lower standard.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: They're held to no standard at all.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 24:05SPEAKER_03: It is time for us to move on to We Live in the Stupidest Timeline.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: May God have mercy on your soul.
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: So RFK Jr.
- 24:24SPEAKER_03: finally broke down and admitted that a Pennsylvania infant did in fact die from
- 24:31SPEAKER_03: the measles.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: Typically,
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: when someone dies from a communicable disease,
- 24:34SPEAKER_03: the state where they died reports a death to the CDC and the CDC publishes
- 24:38SPEAKER_03: the death.
- 24:38SPEAKER_03: But that's not what happened when the Pennsylvania Department of Health
- 24:41SPEAKER_03: and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro A likely 2028 presidential contender,
- 24:48SPEAKER_03: announced two measles-related deaths last week.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: The CDC initially published the deaths on their website,
- 24:54SPEAKER_03: but then Secretary Whaleblood stepped in and told the agency's director
- 24:57SPEAKER_03: to remove them from the website.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: She complied, but of course she did.
- 25:02SPEAKER_03: RFK Jr. also issued a statement on X because that is where one goes,
- 25:07SPEAKER_03: accusing the state of wrongdoing.
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: Quote, the announcement appears to have been premature and
- 25:12SPEAKER_03: the deaths may not may have even been altogether fabricated by one of
- 25:16SPEAKER_03: the governor's hopeful staffers.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: Hopeful.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: That's the word he used.
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: Hopeful.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: He said the coroner where the deaths occurred hadn't confirmed them.
- 25:25SPEAKER_03: Well, on Friday, Lancaster County Coroner Stephen DeMontoni did just that.
- 25:32SPEAKER_03: That forced the dipshit to pull up his big boy jeans that he was swimming around in
- 25:36SPEAKER_03: and admit that an infant did in fact die from the measles.
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: However,
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: he doubled down on the death of another child,
- 25:42SPEAKER_03: an infant boy who tested positive for measles,
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: but suffered massive blood loss from a ruptured spleen.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Remember,
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: when COVID was killing people left and right,
- 25:51SPEAKER_03: Republicans spent all of their time screeching,
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: COVID didn't kill them, it was their pre-existing condition!
- 26:04SPEAKER_03: I wasn't expecting it.
- 26:08SPEAKER_03: I wasn't expecting it.
- 26:10SPEAKER_03: So they were completely ignoring the fact that if they didn't have COVID,
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: they wouldn't have experienced a fatal, fatal, fatal complication.
- 26:20SPEAKER_03: But yeah, we're back in that vibe again because that's what they're doing.
- 26:26SPEAKER_03: They can't fucking just admit that they told people stop vaccinating your kids.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: Then their kids got measles and their kids are dying because then they would have
- 26:36SPEAKER_03: to admit maybe we should have fucking stuck with the vaccines and kept kids
- 26:39SPEAKER_03: from getting fucking.
- 26:40SPEAKER_03: So they will use any fucking excuse.
- 26:43SPEAKER_03: One of the things Republicans will never fucking talk about.
- 26:48SPEAKER_03: Is the number of deaths
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: and the number of excess deaths
- 26:54SPEAKER_03: during COVID.
- 26:55SPEAKER_03: Because if COVID wasn't killing people,
- 26:58SPEAKER_03: if it was just their pre-existing conditions,
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: you wouldn't have seen an increase in deaths during that time period.
- 27:05SPEAKER_03: It would have been The same number of deaths, right?
- 27:09SPEAKER_03: People die from heart attacks every day.
- 27:10SPEAKER_03: People die from strokes every day.
- 27:12SPEAKER_03: People die from blah, blah, blah every day.
- 27:14SPEAKER_03: And they have,
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: an analysis roughly about this amount of people die regularly from day to day to day
- 27:21SPEAKER_03: to day.
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: And they can check it statistically.
- 27:24SPEAKER_03: During COVID, those numbers were way, way up.
- 27:29SPEAKER_03: There's nothing to account for that other than COVID.
- 27:32SPEAKER_03: You don't suddenly have a huge spike in heart attacks and strokes and all these other things.
- 27:38SPEAKER_03: It just doesn't happen, especially over the course of a year and consistently.
- 27:44SPEAKER_03: But they don't want to talk about that.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: They just pretend, no, those people didn't die from COVID.
- 27:48SPEAKER_03: They just died from pre-existing conditions.
- 27:50SPEAKER_03: It wasn't COVID.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: But Ogre,
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: when there was totally,
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: common deaths of teenagers from heat stroke and stuff like that,
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: and pre-existing heart conditions, that was definitely a spike due to the vaccine.
- 28:06SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 28:06SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 28:07SPEAKER_03: No, no.
- 28:07SPEAKER_03: That's definitely what it is.
- 28:09SPEAKER_03: So basically, before the vaccine, all those extra deaths were totally normal.
- 28:15SPEAKER_03: After the vaccine,
- 28:17SPEAKER_03: when the deaths went back down to normal,
- 28:19SPEAKER_03: any deaths that happened were because of the vaccine.
- 28:21SPEAKER_03: That's how it works.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: That's exactly how it works.
- 28:23SPEAKER_03: That's science.
- 28:24SPEAKER_03: Bitch.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: Science.
- 28:28SPEAKER_03: It works, bitch.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: While we're on the topic of infants with measles,
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania has implemented strict rules
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: for its neonatal ICU after someone who recently visited
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: a sick infant there tested positive for the disease.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Yay.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: I just can't even...
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Only parents and guardians of the patients will now be allowed to visit,
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: and only if they don't have any symptoms,
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: they will be screened before they enter the unit.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: One thing I thought was crazy about this story is that
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: the hospital is just strongly encouraging parents and guardians to wear masks in
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: the unit.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: They're not requiring it.
- 29:09SPEAKER_03: Which is unbelievable.
- 29:11SPEAKER_03: Just neonatal.
- 29:14SPEAKER_03: Neonatal are kids who are born early, early.
- 29:18SPEAKER_03: Which means they're already vulnerable.
- 29:21SPEAKER_03: Their immune systems, I mean, babies' immune systems are already shitty to begin with.
- 29:25SPEAKER_03: Neonatal, like, it's practically non-existent.
- 29:28SPEAKER_03: And they don't make people wear masks already?
- 29:31SPEAKER_03: No,
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: they actually
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: do not.
- 29:33SPEAKER_03: They don't.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: I just assumed that would be it.
- 29:36SPEAKER_03: I mean, I've never been in a neonatal unit before, so I wouldn't know.
- 29:40SPEAKER_03: But I just assumed if you're going to neonatal,
- 29:43SPEAKER_03: even before COVID,
- 29:44SPEAKER_03: I just would have assumed they made you wear a mask
- 29:45SPEAKER_03: because why would you put these kids at risk in the first place?
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: When you think of a neonatal unit,
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: you probably think of like what you see on,
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know,
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: like Grey's Anatomy where you're wearing,
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: you know, the surgical gowns and the gloves and you have a mask on.
- 30:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, I don't know about the gown and the gloves, but at least
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: on the mask.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: But you're doing everything to protect the little tiny human that's in the incubator.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: It's not like that, unfortunately.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Maybe some hospitals, but not in my experience anyways.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, you do live in Florida.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Apparently,
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: the hospital contacted the parents of the unit,
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: and they too were aghast,
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: as one would be if your infant was exposed to measles, in the fucking NICU.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: Brittany Nicole Sponenberg?
- 30:30SPEAKER_03: Sponenberg.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: I'm so bad with names, guys.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: It's just... Is it because it's
- 30:34SPEAKER_03: a Jewish name?
- 30:35SPEAKER_03: That's racist, yo.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Give me Smith, and I'll fuck that up, too.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: Smite?
- 30:41SPEAKER_03: What?
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Brittany Nicole Spadenberg is one of those moms.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: Her infant has been in the NICU for almost two months,
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: and she received a phone call telling her that he was exposed to the disease.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: What's worse is that she didn't find out until her son was already transferred
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: to another NICU, meaning that those babies are at risk too.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Because if her kid was exposed and went to the other NICU, guess who's also being exposed?
- 31:07SPEAKER_03: Just fucking brilliant.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: Brittany said that she was silent when she was told of it.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: She was just, she was speechless.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: She spoke to the other parents who were all pissed off too.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: And she wants the NICU visitors to produce vaccine records now
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: before they're allowed to enter the room.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: But experts say that that's, you know, a bridge too far.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Nobody's going to deny a person the right to sit next to their infant.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: No, but you can put them in a fucking room by themselves if you're not vaccinated.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: Put them in a room by themselves.
- 31:38SPEAKER_03: Jane from Pittsburgh says that just happened at the UPMC Children's Hospital
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: in Pittsburgh, too.
- 31:43SPEAKER_03: So, yeah,
- 31:44SPEAKER_03: this is just,
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: this is our this is our world now,
- 31:47SPEAKER_03: a world with measles,
- 31:49SPEAKER_03: where people are just going to keep spreading it around and trying
- 31:52SPEAKER_03: to murder children.
- 31:53SPEAKER_03: Because vaccines are evil and they give you autism and we'd rather our kids die
- 31:59SPEAKER_03: than be autistic,
- 32:00SPEAKER_03: which I swear to God,
- 32:02SPEAKER_03: the first person that says that to me in the real world...
- 32:05SPEAKER_03: Is getting punched in the face.
- 32:06SPEAKER_03: Oh my God.
- 32:07SPEAKER_03: If I...
- 32:08SPEAKER_03: Don't punch them in the face.
- 32:12SPEAKER_03: I'm going to very loudly publicly humiliate them.
- 32:16SPEAKER_03: You know I could be vicious.
- 32:20SPEAKER_03: When it comes to someone insulting me, it's just like, whatever, man.
- 32:23SPEAKER_03: And I don't give a shit, I'm twice your size, go fuck yourself.
- 32:26SPEAKER_03: If you insult my kid though,
- 32:28SPEAKER_03: that's gonna be like, okay,
- 32:29SPEAKER_03: now I'm going to absolutely fucking publicly humiliate you at the top
- 32:35SPEAKER_03: of my fucking lungs.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: And I'm gonna keep doing it until...
- 32:38SPEAKER_03: Until you're crying on the floor begging for mercy.
- 32:41SPEAKER_03: And I'm going to be really, really fucking just absolutely obnoxious and cruel about it.
- 32:48SPEAKER_03: And you're like, why are you doing this?
- 32:49SPEAKER_03: It's like, you're telling me you'd rather have your kid die than be like my son?
- 32:54SPEAKER_03: Let me tell you about yourself at every fucking conceivable way.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: the hospital in this area and Pennsylvania's outbreak right now has been linked to
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: the Amish community because although the Amish community isn't like 100%
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: against vaccines,
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: they do have a lower vaccine rate than us, although that is changing thanks to Maha.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: One of the children who recently died, one of the infants who recently died was an Amish girl.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: That's the one that...
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: He denied that RFK Jr. denied was a measles-related death and then had to admit it later.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: And as was at least one of the kids who died last year.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: We talked about it on the show last year when a kid in,
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: I believe, Texas died from the measles and they were Amish.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: So these people know, like, it's not like the Amish community is stupid.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: They know that their decision to leave their kids unvaccinated puts them at risk,
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: but they don't fucking care.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: They don't care.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: They say it's about their religion and blah, blah, blah.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: But the last time I looked, the fucking Bible...
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: Sorry, guys.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: The Bible.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: The Holy Bible.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: I apologize, Mom.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: The Holy Bible doesn't say a single thing about not vaccinating your kids.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Does it?
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: Does it anyway?
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: I didn't think so.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: I haven't read the book because I'm more into nonfiction.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: But anyway...
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: And as the former mom of a NICU baby who has, I experienced something like this with the flu.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: There were nurses in the unit who were forced to wear masks because they refused
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: to get their flu shot.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: Imagine being a healthcare worker in a NICU and refusing to get a vaccine
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: that could help stop the spread of a deadly disease.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Because believe me,
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: the flu is very,
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: very contagious and will kill a NICU baby just as fast as the fucking measles will.
- 34:49SPEAKER_03: You should just lose your job.
- 34:50SPEAKER_03: It's like, I'm sorry, you work in healthcare and you won't get a vaccine?
- 34:53SPEAKER_03: You're fired.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:55SPEAKER_03: It doesn't matter future religious belief.
- 34:57SPEAKER_03: This is a fucking healthcare.
- 34:59SPEAKER_03: You want to go do that?
- 35:00SPEAKER_03: Go fucking work in a church.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: I could not believe that there was people in the NICU unit working who did not get the vaccine.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Like, put them somewhere else.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Like, the cafeteria.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Why are you putting them in the NICU?
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: So, in both cases,
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: I'm talking about babies who are already fighting for their lives,
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: and now they have to battle the people in the stupidest fucking timelines.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: And I've been saying this for years, and I will stand by it to my dying breath.
- 35:29SPEAKER_03: If you refuse to vaccinate your kid and they get severely ill,
- 35:33SPEAKER_03: you should be arrested for child engagement and have your children taken away.
- 35:37SPEAKER_03: If you get someone else's kid sick, same thing.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: If a child dies because you know better than the doctors, you should be charged with murder.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Excuse me.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: They did their research.
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: Fine.
- 35:49SPEAKER_03: Great.
- 35:50SPEAKER_03: If you believe you're anti-vaxxer bullshit that deeply,
- 35:52SPEAKER_03: you should be willing to pay the fucking price for it.
- 35:54SPEAKER_03: Right now,
- 35:55SPEAKER_03: we make it way too fucking easy to put other people's lives at risk
- 36:00SPEAKER_03: because fucking morons watched a YouTube video or something on TikTok
- 36:04SPEAKER_03: and now they've done their own research.
- 36:06SPEAKER_03: It's so funny.
- 36:07SPEAKER_03: I hadn't even
- 36:08SPEAKER_00: read that.
- 36:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 36:10SPEAKER_03: Fuck these people.
- 36:11SPEAKER_03: There has to be consequences for inflicting harm on other people.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: That's the basic part of a social contract.
- 36:18SPEAKER_03: And if you don't like it, go live on a fucking island and kill yourself with the black place.
- 36:23SPEAKER_03: Leave us alone.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: You know,
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: it's so crazy because throughout American history, I mean,
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: to some degree,
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: we have all agreed like,
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: hey, these are the things that we should do to keep society safe as a whole.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: And then Republicans came along and they were like,
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: we can make a lot of money scaring people about these things.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: So let's just say fuck the people.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: And you know what makes it so sad?
- 36:53SPEAKER_03: Back in the day,
- 36:55SPEAKER_03: like the one time Bill O'Reilly actually had a shred of respect from me was
- 37:02SPEAKER_03: when they were talking about the measles vaccine,
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: this was years ago,
- 37:07SPEAKER_03: and he was still on TV, and he blew a fucking gasket about it.
- 37:12SPEAKER_03: He was like, fuck you, right?
- 37:14SPEAKER_03: Fuck you and your anti-vaxxer bullshit because Bill O'Reilly's old.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: He's in his 70s, and he grew up.
- 37:23SPEAKER_03: And he was like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 37:25SPEAKER_03: I saw what happened.
- 37:27SPEAKER_03: I saw what happened to kids who got polio.
- 37:30SPEAKER_03: And we lived in mortal fear of this.
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: And when those vaccines came around,
- 37:35SPEAKER_03: we all lined up and we got our little sugar cube and we got the vaccine polio.
- 37:39SPEAKER_03: And let me tell you something, it was the greatest fucking day ever.
- 37:43SPEAKER_03: So no, do not do anti-vaxxer because you don't want this stuff coming back.
- 37:48SPEAKER_03: And I was like, oh, okay.
- 37:50SPEAKER_03: At least he's not that crazy.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: Wait, a sugar cube?
- 37:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they put the vaccine in a sugar cube and I don't know how that worked.
- 37:59SPEAKER_03: I guess you didn't have to have it injected, that particular vaccine.
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: That's interesting.
- 38:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I guess there's something about that particular vaccine.
- 38:08SPEAKER_03: You didn't have to, you could ingest it.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: But that was either that or they gave you a sugar cube while they gave you a shot in the arm.
- 38:14SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 38:16SPEAKER_03: I remember because I've heard that multiple times.
- 38:18SPEAKER_03: Eat this fucking sugar cube while we stab you.
- 38:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, pretty much.
- 38:24SPEAKER_03: But that was a thing.
- 38:27SPEAKER_03: But people of his generation were like,
- 38:29SPEAKER_03: yeah, no, vaccines, because we grew up seeing what it was like not to have them.
- 38:36SPEAKER_03: But now we have all these Gen Xers are like,
- 38:41SPEAKER_03: I don't know, we didn't have to grow up with this stuff.
- 38:44SPEAKER_03: We never saw this.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: And it's the Gen Xers?
- 38:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: It's the Gen Xers.
- 38:51SPEAKER_03: Like, you know,
- 38:52SPEAKER_03: I grew up with chickenpox,
- 38:53SPEAKER_03: but chickenpox is, you know, chickenpox is sucks, but it's not usually lethal.
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: But I never had to do with measles.
- 39:00SPEAKER_03: I don't know anyone who's had measles.
- 39:02SPEAKER_03: I don't know anyone who's had polio.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: Don't even get them started on the chickenpox vaccine because there's,
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: you know, ever since, like, my kids got the chickenpox vaccine.
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Did yours?
- 39:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: And...
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: These anti-vaxxers were like, oh, that's unnecessary.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: We all had the chickenpox and we were fine.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, except for that later in life you get fucking shingles, you dumb motherfuckers.
- 39:26SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 39:26SPEAKER_03: It's like I've heard what that's like.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: And people did die from chickenpox.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: People did die from it.
- 39:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you can die from it.
- 39:34SPEAKER_03: It's not nearly as dangerous as measles and polio and some of the other stuff.
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: no, no, of course.
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: But it's like, why would you do that to yourself, though?
- 39:40SPEAKER_03: And it leaves you with scars.
- 39:42SPEAKER_03: Like, my brother has several scars on his face.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: I have one, too, on my eyebrow.
- 39:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I never had it.
- 39:47SPEAKER_03: Or if I did have it, it was such a low level.
- 39:50SPEAKER_03: I didn't know about it because my brother had it while I had a broken leg.
- 39:53SPEAKER_03: So it was like,
- 39:55SPEAKER_03: I hope I don't get it because my leg's going to be a disaster because my leg's in
- 39:58SPEAKER_03: a cast.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: But It's just like, why do we want to bring back?
- 40:03SPEAKER_03: Like, why would you put your kid through that in the first place?
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Also, you know,
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: here's ultimately,
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: and you hear Dr. Mike, the hot Dr. Mike, but Dr. Mike talks about it all the time.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: If you go and look at the profiles of all of these people who are anti-vaxxers,
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: like the big influencers,
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: the RFK juniors,
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: you can always tie it back to these are also people who sell supplements.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: Because the supplement industry is a larger industry than the pharmaceutical industry.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: So we have a bunch of people who are peddling.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: Unregulated, essentially.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: Miracle cures.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Miracle cures.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: And they're teaching people to be skeptical of actual tested vaccinations.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Hey guys,
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: instead of taking that shot for your rheumatoid arthritis that is crippling you,
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: go have some turmeric.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: Which don't get me wrong,
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that there's like herbal cures that don't help,
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: but eating a turmeric root is not going to take away your rheumatoid arthritis.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 41:12SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: Now, before we move on to the next section,
- 41:16SPEAKER_03: if you'd like to throw us a small tip,
- 41:18SPEAKER_03: the QR codes are up on the screen for both PayPal and Venmo.
- 41:22SPEAKER_03: We have no sponsors or advertisers.
- 41:25SPEAKER_03: We most likely never will because Florida Woman is just too controversial.
- 41:29SPEAKER_03: But we appreciate anything you can send our way.
- 41:32SPEAKER_03: We both have kids in college and boy, they cost money.
- 41:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they're expensive.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 41:38SPEAKER_03: She's paying for the tuition.
- 41:40SPEAKER_03: I'm just sending Lila money so she's not a broke ass college student.
- 41:43SPEAKER_03: And hopefully so she doesn't have to get a job more than a couple of hours a week
- 41:47SPEAKER_03: so she can focus more on her schoolwork.
- 41:50SPEAKER_03: But yeah, anything you can send our way, please do.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Also, I really need to buy some supplements.
- 41:56SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, definitely, definitely.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: Because, you know, vaccines are just, they'll just give you autism.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Too late, bitch.
- 42:04SPEAKER_03: All right, it's time for Headlines for Short Attention Spans.
- 42:11SPEAKER_03: Trump's silly tweet about renaming New Mexico as New America is just
- 42:16SPEAKER_03: the latest example of his flailing attempt to distract the public with gibberish.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: And honestly, that shit ain't working anymore.
- 42:25SPEAKER_03: He's spent the last decade waving shiny object after shiny object at the country and
- 42:32SPEAKER_03: the press, and they've chased it every single time.
- 42:35SPEAKER_03: But people are so tired of his bullshit.
- 42:39SPEAKER_03: Between the Iran No one wanted dragging on forever and pushing gas prices through the roof.
- 42:45SPEAKER_03: Yet another trade war with Canada.
- 42:47SPEAKER_03: No one wanted pushing inflation even higher.
- 42:50SPEAKER_03: And the economy just crumbling across the board
- 42:52SPEAKER_03: because Republicans have ruined everything on purpose.
- 42:55SPEAKER_03: And they care about how much their electric and heating bills are going up because...
- 43:10SPEAKER_03: The regime is shoving data centers down our throats and killing renewable energy projects.
- 43:15SPEAKER_03: They care that their hospitals are closing and no one can afford health care.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: They care that diseases like measles and spreading and changing.
- 43:25SPEAKER_03: Children are dying while billionaires got tax cuts paid for by taking away Medicaid.
- 43:30SPEAKER_03: They care that we don't have money for school lunches or Social Security,
- 43:34SPEAKER_03: but we have hundreds of millions of dollars for Trump's stupid fucking ballroom
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: and his arch and the reflecting pool and, and, and, and.
- 43:43SPEAKER_03: Unlimited money for stupid Trump shit,
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: but we're always broke when it comes to stuff that we need.
- 43:49SPEAKER_03: Trump can post all the AI slop he wants,
- 43:56SPEAKER_03: Now all of North America is the United States and putting himself
- 44:00SPEAKER_03: in uniform like he's ever served a day in his life and all
- 44:03SPEAKER_03: the other dumb shit he posts all day long.
- 44:07SPEAKER_03: Nobody cares anymore.
- 44:09SPEAKER_03: It's just bullshit.
- 44:10SPEAKER_03: Now, that being said,
- 44:25SPEAKER_03: I do feel the need to say something because this is the 25th anniversary of 9-11
- 44:31SPEAKER_03: about Trump once again claiming that firemen pulled him from the rubble of
- 44:35SPEAKER_03: the Twin Towers and he barely escaped from his life.
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: You've heard this?
- 44:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 44:40SPEAKER_03: This was,
- 44:41SPEAKER_03: now I understand he said this a couple of years ago,
- 44:43SPEAKER_03: but now,
- 44:44SPEAKER_03: and apparently just no one really paid attention,
- 44:47SPEAKER_03: but he's out there saying this again.
- 44:49SPEAKER_03: Everyone knows he wasn't there because he's talked about how he watched it happen on TV.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: No, he literally,
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: there was,
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: as the towers were falling,
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: he was on the phone with a news organization talking about how he could see it
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: from his
- 45:05SPEAKER_03: And one of the things that was a big deal was he was talking
- 45:08SPEAKER_03: about how he now has the tallest building in New York.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 45:11SPEAKER_03: And people were mad about that.
- 45:13SPEAKER_03: But the fact that he's making 9-11 all about himself should send the 9-11
- 45:17SPEAKER_03: of Seth's GOP into a foaming rage.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: We talked about earlier that at the beginning of the show that,
- 45:23SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 45:23SPEAKER_03: Rudy Giuliani wants to know why,
- 45:25SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 45:26SPEAKER_03: Mom Dami's dishonoring the memory of the victims by going to 9-11 ceremonies
- 45:32SPEAKER_03: and yada, yada, yada.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and why would it be dishonoring the memories of them, guys?
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Because he's a Muslim?
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: Not because he's a guy like the attackers.
- 45:44SPEAKER_03: But where's Giuliani's outrage at Trump?
- 45:48SPEAKER_03: Where's the Republican outrage at Trump?
- 45:49SPEAKER_03: Where's the legacy press's outrage?
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: Joe Biden forgets a date or gets a fact wrong,
- 45:54SPEAKER_03: and it was weeks of op-eds about how unfit he was for office.
- 45:59SPEAKER_03: Trump is literally spinning fairy tales about his brave heroism on
- 46:04SPEAKER_01: What a man.
- 46:05SPEAKER_03: And he'll insist that it's true.
- 46:08SPEAKER_03: He will absolutely swear it's true and get really mad at you if you say,
- 46:13SPEAKER_03: well, that didn't fucking happen.
- 46:14SPEAKER_03: And if there's more than two op-eds pointing out that he's a dualist, The New York Times.
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: There's a dispute, as if anyone's actually questioning that this, you know, there's no dispute.
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: No one disputes this.
- 46:41SPEAKER_03: It didn't happen.
- 46:42SPEAKER_03: There's no question about, well, he said, she said, it didn't happen.
- 46:47SPEAKER_03: No one actually believes.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: He believes this habit,
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: except maybe Trump at this point because his brain is Swiss fucking cheats.
- 46:55SPEAKER_03: They know he's lying, but they won't say he's lying.
- 47:00SPEAKER_03: They'll call Obama a liar.
- 47:02SPEAKER_03: They'll call Biden a liar.
- 47:04SPEAKER_03: They'll call Clinton a liar,
- 47:05SPEAKER_03: but they won't call Trump a liar about something that's so obviously fabricated.
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: But they won't do it because Republicans are not held to a lower standard.
- 47:18SPEAKER_03: They're held to no standard at all.
- 47:21SPEAKER_03: And for Trump, the legacy press are actively collaborating.
- 47:25SPEAKER_03: They're lying to the public to conceal how sick and broken he is.
- 47:30SPEAKER_03: And when this is all over and the regime falls, Because it is going to fall.
- 47:36SPEAKER_03: And the fucking tribunals begin.
- 47:37SPEAKER_03: The press,
- 47:39SPEAKER_03: especially the New York fucking Times,
- 47:41SPEAKER_03: has to be fucking investigated as co-conspirators.
- 47:43SPEAKER_03: Nuremberg them all.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: Nuremberg them all.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: So Trump spent some time over the holiday weekend screeching about
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: the Missouri Supreme Court ruling that swore if Republicans attempt to steal seats
- 47:55SPEAKER_00: in their redistricting scheme.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: I put redistributing in our notes.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: I have no idea why.
- 48:03SPEAKER_03: They're trying to redistribute them to themselves.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: The justices unanimously blocked the new house map.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: Opponents of the maps collected signatures on a petition demanding
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: that lawmakers allow residents to vote on whether or not to allow the new map.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: But the Republicans were like, no, we can't let you do that.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: Democracy, what?
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: The Republican Secretary of State waited until the day of the primaries to reject the petition.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: Claiming voters couldn't ask for a referendum related to congressional redistricting.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, democracy.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Fuck that.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: That should be our new saying.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: Democracy.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: Fuck that.
- 48:42SPEAKER_00: A lower court agreed,
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: but the state Supreme Court ruled that the referendum was legal
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: and Republicans could not use the new map in November or ever unless it's put up for
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: a vote.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: Trump lashed out, of course, because, you know, democracy.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: Fuck that.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: The ruling was horrible, ridiculous, and unconstitutional.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: And there won't be enough time to change the map back with the election coming up in
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: a very short period of time.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, my God.
- 49:14SPEAKER_00: I can't steal the seat, guys.
- 49:17SPEAKER_03: You know, it's weird.
- 49:19SPEAKER_03: He doesn't think there's enough time to change the maps,
- 49:21SPEAKER_03: but he does think there's enough time for the post office
- 49:23SPEAKER_03: to completely change how we do mail-in voting.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, super weird.
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: I wonder why that's...
- 49:28SPEAKER_03: So weird.
- 49:29SPEAKER_03: So weird.
- 49:30SPEAKER_03: So once upon a time,
- 49:31SPEAKER_03: a piece of shit Nazi was fired from the Ron DeSantis campaign
- 49:36SPEAKER_03: because he posted Nazi shit on Twitter.
- 49:38SPEAKER_03: This was in 2023.
- 49:40SPEAKER_03: But instead of being cast out of the party like As a piece of shit Nazi,
- 49:45SPEAKER_03: this guy whose name is Hochman was immediately hired by a group with ties
- 49:50SPEAKER_03: to Marco Group.
- 49:51SPEAKER_03: Now he's in the State Department as deputy director of
- 49:54SPEAKER_03: the agency's policy planning office and also Rubio's head speechwriter.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: We have a Nazi writing Rubio's speeches?
- 50:02SPEAKER_03: So weird.
- 50:04SPEAKER_03: That explains so much.
- 50:05SPEAKER_03: We talk about Nazis a lot on this podcast because we've been trying
- 50:09SPEAKER_03: to make people understand that the Republican Party will not disappear
- 50:13SPEAKER_03: when Trump is forced out of power.
- 50:15SPEAKER_03: It will not die when he flees the country or dies from a cheeseburger induced stroke.
- 50:20SPEAKER_03: It will not go away after we control the White House and both chambers of Congress
- 50:24SPEAKER_03: on January 20th, 2029.
- 50:26SPEAKER_03: The party is going to lurch to the right,
- 50:29SPEAKER_03: claiming the election was stolen and Trump wasn't fascist enough.
- 50:33SPEAKER_03: It will openly embrace legislation.
- 50:35SPEAKER_03: The Opinionated Ogre, opinionatedogre.com.
- 50:50SPEAKER_03: Nazis were toxic.
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: Now, it's a badge of pride on your resume.
- 50:56SPEAKER_03: This is who they are.
- 50:58SPEAKER_03: This is who they've always been.
- 51:00SPEAKER_03: They're just not pretending anymore.
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: And that's something we have to understand and grapple with because that's going
- 51:08SPEAKER_03: to be what we have to deal with in the future is a party of openly Nazi pieces
- 51:14SPEAKER_03: of shit.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: Well, speaking of Nazis,
- 51:17SPEAKER_00: as of this recording,
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: the Trump regime has not extended TPS protections for Salvadorans living in
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: the United States.
- 51:24SPEAKER_00: They had the longest-running protections in this TPS program.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: They gained TPS in 2001 after a hurricane.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: And they've had it for 24 years, but not anymore.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: The Temporary Protected Status Program from El Salvador expired today,
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: making more than 170,000 legal immigrants deportable.
- 51:45SPEAKER_03: Stephen Miller must have spent all fucking night masturbating.
- 51:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's really,
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: really embarrassing considering the president of El Salvador did all of that shit
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: with Seacott to try to placate Trump, and now Salvadorans are still suffering.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: So fuck him too, little baby dictator bitch.
- 52:04SPEAKER_00: So federal law required Mark Wayne Mullen to announce a decision about whether
- 52:08SPEAKER_00: the protections for Salvadorans were ending or renewing by July 11, 2026.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: He was also supposed to publish a federal register notice to end the program.
- 52:19SPEAKER_00: He missed the deadline and did not publish any notice on the Federal Register.
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: That means that Salvadoran TPS recipients should be eligible for
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: a six-month extension according to the law.
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: But, you know,
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: we live in a time where these people actively ignore the laws,
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: so don't think that you won't be deportable.
- 52:42SPEAKER_00: This is very personal to me because my husband is Salvadoran.
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: He actually had TPS when we got married.
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: We have family and friends who have lived in this country legally for decades with TPS.
- 52:53SPEAKER_00: They have American children, businesses, they own homes.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: And have become Americans in every way except taking that fucking oath.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: Now they're all in limbo.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: And if that weren't bad enough,
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: last year they applied for their TPS and some of them didn't even get their cards
- 53:11SPEAKER_00: until a month ago.
- 53:12SPEAKER_00: So they were already in limbo for the whole year last year too.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: As I've said,
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: this was never about forcing people to migrate here the right way or going
- 53:24SPEAKER_00: after undocumented criminals.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: This regime hates immigrants.
- 53:29SPEAKER_00: They hate them, especially the brown ones.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: They want to make this country white again.
- 53:34SPEAKER_00: They hate that there have been more births of minority children than white children,
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: and they are losing their fucking minds over the possibility
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: that they could soon lose their majority status in America.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: Something.
- 53:46SPEAKER_03: The next decade, they've been fighting it tooth and nail to keep that from happening.
- 53:51SPEAKER_00: That's why they're pushing white people to have more babies and floating the idea
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: of paying stay at home moms.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: They know that if they lose their grip on power,
- 54:00SPEAKER_00: then they will be the vulnerable ones and it scares the shit out of white people
- 54:05SPEAKER_00: that the kids The kids of the people they've spent decades and centuries
- 54:09SPEAKER_00: in some cases discriminating against will soon be able to give them a taste
- 54:14SPEAKER_00: of their own medicine.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: And they should be scared because guess what?
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: One of my kids is already at voting age and he will never,
- 54:22SPEAKER_00: ever, ever cast a ballot for the party that made his dad's life so miserable.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: The kids of our family members feel the same damn way.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: My family in Texas actively campaigns against Republicans,
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: the American children of the people who lived here with TPS
- 54:38SPEAKER_00: before they got their citizenship.
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: Now, times
- 54:44SPEAKER_00: that
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: by the children of all of the immigrants that Trump has fucked with,
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: the more than 1 million immigrants who have had their TPS taken away from them
- 54:59SPEAKER_00: since he took power.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: And the GOP has a really big problem down the road,
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: which is what we've been talking about for a long time.
- 55:05SPEAKER_00: They feel comfortable in their discrimination now.
- 55:08SPEAKER_00: But guess what?
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: This is not going to last forever.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: And my only hope is that I'm fucking alive to see the destruction of their party.
- 55:16SPEAKER_03: They made a lot of inroads with Latino voters,
- 55:19SPEAKER_03: and then they just spent the last year and a half teaching those same voters,
- 55:26SPEAKER_03: you can never trust a Republican.
- 55:28SPEAKER_03: They may not love Democrats,
- 55:30SPEAKER_03: but they're teaching them what black people have known for generations.
- 55:34SPEAKER_03: White nationalists will never accept you.
- 55:37SPEAKER_03: They just won't,
- 55:38SPEAKER_03: which means you can never, ever vote for them because they will always turn on you.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:44SPEAKER_00: And honestly,
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: fuck Nayib Bukele for getting down on his knees and sucking Trump's dick
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: and opening El Salvador to all of this criticism from other people and,
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: violating the civil rights of Venezuelan immigrants by putting them in Seacott
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: and abusing them the same way that they were abusing Salvadorans.
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: Fuck him because he's done nothing.
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: Nothing for the Salvadorans that are living in America.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: I fucking hate him.
- 56:13SPEAKER_00: I hate him, too.
- 56:13SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 56:15SPEAKER_03: Let's wrap up headlines on some good news.
- 56:18SPEAKER_03: MAGA, as a movement,
- 56:19SPEAKER_03: is dying,
- 56:20SPEAKER_03: and we now have a concrete way to measure it,
- 56:23SPEAKER_03: other than, you know, at the ballot box.
- 56:25SPEAKER_03: Two weekends ago,
- 56:26SPEAKER_03: or last weekend, no,
- 56:28SPEAKER_03: two weekends ago,
- 56:29SPEAKER_03: Anastasia, no,
- 56:30SPEAKER_03: last weekend, sorry,
- 56:30SPEAKER_03: Anastasia and I were coming back from D.C.,
- 56:33SPEAKER_03: And there's a kiosk in the mall that sells t-shirts and hats.
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: And last year and earlier this year, it was just covered in MAGA and Trump shit.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: And really popular, too, because when I was there, people were flocking to that.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: And all of the little shithead kids that went
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: with their groups were wearing MAGA hats in the history museum.
- 56:58SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: And now, mind you, I live in Arlington.
- 57:01SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 57:02SPEAKER_03: So Arlington's deep, deep blue.
- 57:04SPEAKER_03: So the fact that there was a little kiosk that just covered
- 57:06SPEAKER_03: with Trump shit was like,
- 57:08SPEAKER_03: okay, but it was selling, I guess, because it was out there for quite some time.
- 57:13SPEAKER_03: But a couple of weeks ago, I noticed it's just not there anymore.
- 57:16SPEAKER_03: There's no Trump stuff.
- 57:17SPEAKER_03: There's no MAGA stuff.
- 57:18SPEAKER_03: There's like maybe like one or two MAGA hats.
- 57:21SPEAKER_03: I was like, well, that's interesting.
- 57:23SPEAKER_03: And now there have been multiple articles about how the MAGA merch boom is over.
- 57:30SPEAKER_03: There were entire stores.
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we had one here at Closed Down.
- 57:34SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 57:35SPEAKER_03: They're just, it was all Trump worship, and they're going out of business all over the country.
- 57:41SPEAKER_03: The Wall Street Journal,
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Newsweek,
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: and Slate,
- 57:43SPEAKER_03: just in the last couple weeks, have written articles about how they're closing down.
- 57:48SPEAKER_03: And anecdotal evidence, Right.
- 57:50SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 58:12SPEAKER_03: Once Trump is out of power,
- 58:14SPEAKER_03: his entire cult,
- 58:15SPEAKER_03: they're going to try to rebrand themselves as independents or Reagan Republicans
- 58:21SPEAKER_03: or constitutional conservatives because they don't want to be held accountable
- 58:27SPEAKER_03: For the MAGA movement and a decade of hate and violence and fascism,
- 58:32SPEAKER_03: they're going to do anything.
- 58:35SPEAKER_03: They're going to try Tea Party 2.0, anything to avoid being held accountable.
- 58:41SPEAKER_03: And the press is going to try to help them with every ounce of their power
- 58:48SPEAKER_03: because that's what they did after Bush.
- 58:50SPEAKER_03: That didn't happen after the first time Trump lost because Trump didn't go away.
- 58:56SPEAKER_03: Trump just stayed there because he was intending to run again
- 59:01SPEAKER_03: and Republicans couldn't get rid of him.
- 59:03SPEAKER_03: This time when Trump is gone...
- 59:05SPEAKER_03: He's going to be gone.
- 59:06SPEAKER_03: He's not going to be able to run again.
- 59:08SPEAKER_03: He won't be physically capable of running again.
- 59:11SPEAKER_03: He's not going to live long enough to run again.
- 59:13SPEAKER_03: And he's not going to be the leader of the party because he's either going to have
- 59:17SPEAKER_03: to flee the country or he's going to be drooling in a fucking wheelchair in a year
- 59:22SPEAKER_03: or two.
- 59:23SPEAKER_03: He's going to be dead sued.
- 59:25SPEAKER_03: I mean, the man's 80 years old and his health is collapsing.
- 59:28SPEAKER_03: By the time 2028 rolls around, if he's still walking on his own two feet, it'll be a miracle.
- 59:34SPEAKER_03: So there isn't going to be more Trump.
- 59:38SPEAKER_03: So they're going to have to erase him.
- 59:40SPEAKER_03: They're going to have to just make MAGA disappear.
- 59:44SPEAKER_03: They'll rebrand themselves as America First or some other bullshit.
- 59:48SPEAKER_03: But We cannot let them do that.
- 59:50SPEAKER_03: There isn't going to be the erasing of Trump or he was just a mistake
- 59:57SPEAKER_03: and we don't know what happened.
- 59:58SPEAKER_03: We don't know who that was or how that happened.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_03: It's like, no, they're all fucking complicit.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_03: They all followed him.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_03: They all did what he wanted for 10 fucking years.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_03: Well, it'll be 12 in 2028.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_03: They all obeyed his every fucking command.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_03: So when your neighbors who wore their MAGA shirt proudly for decades says,
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_03: oh, I never really liked Trump, bullshit.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_03: Don't let them fucking come back and say, well, you know, we all have to move together.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_03: We have to work together for the better.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_03: No, they don't.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_03: No, we don't.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_03: No.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_03: They all came out of the fucking Nazi closet.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_03: They all had their fucking fascist hats and shirts and fuck your feelings.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_03: They don't get to come back and say, can't we just be friends now?
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_03: No.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_03: I can't be friends with you.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: We will never, ever forgive you.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: We will never forgive you.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_03: You know, my in-laws were happy MAGA and I will never speak to them again.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_03: Even after Trump is gone, I'm sure I'm getting emails like, well, he's gone now.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_03: Can we be friends again?
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_03: And it's like, no,
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_03: I'll see you at your funeral and I'll be smiling because you'll be in
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_03: a fucking coffin.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_03: That's when I'll see you again.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_00: Anyway, let us move on.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_00: Back at the beginning of the year, we made a number of predictions about 2026.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_03: Which are coming true rather handily for most of them.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_00: One of them was specifically that the GOP's gerrymandering was going
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_00: to backfire spectacularly because they made deep red districts less red.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_00: Well, Politico reports that that is exactly the doomsday scenario facing the fascist fucksticks.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: This is from the report, quote,
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_00: Two months out from Election Day,
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: Republicans are sweating races they thought that they would win comfortably
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_00: when they read your district boundaries,
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_00: according to conversations with a dozen Republican strategists.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_00: Republicans did win the midterm mapmaking war and will likely net
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_00: at least six seats,
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_00: not that many,
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: via gerrymandering,
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_00: but that's less than half of the number that they'd initially hoped when they began
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: the ambitious project over a year ago.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_00: So Trump is so unpopular and voters are so angry at the GOP for rolling over
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: and playing dead that the once safe seats are competitive now.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_00: Republicans are especially worried about Latino heavy seats that Trump won easily in 2024.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_00: It appears that deporting grandma And murdering their family members in
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_00: the street wasn't very popular.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_00: Who would have guessed?
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, my God.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_03: I don't understand.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_03: How is that not playing well with Latino voters?
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_03: It plays so well with white nationalists.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_03: Why is it going over well with Latinos?
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_03: I don't get it.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_03: It's a mystery we may never solve.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_00: Never solve that one.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: They did like to have the narrative before the election, though, that, oh,
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: Hispanics aren't a monolith,
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_00: and all of them don't care about deportations,
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_00: and immigration is at the top priority for all of them.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_00: No, bitch,
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_00: it might not be the top priority for all of them,
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: but it is a priority for almost all of them.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: Everybody who has an immigrant family member who is undocumented or who is here,
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_00: who doesn't have their citizenship, they care about this issue.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_03: I love that they're starting to deport Floridian Cubans.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's been happening for like, yeah, the whole day.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_03: You're really going to go after your most devoted, loyal Latino segment, Cuban Floridians.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_03: You're really going to go after them?
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_03: Are you fucking crazy?
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_03: They're the most Republican.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Venezuelans.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_00: These are the people who,
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_00: before the election,
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_00: they were like,
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: I will vote for Donald Trump and making songs
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_00: that now their family members are getting deported.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_03: I love that for them.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_03: I love that for them.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_00: That's a whole other conversation.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_00: Not Latina.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_00: Can't have a part of that because I would say mean things.
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_00: But as my husband always says,
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_00: nobody hates an immigrant more than the immigrant that came before them.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_00: I've heard that before.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_00: So this is exactly what we said would happen, and we are loving it for them.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_01: Makes us so happy.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_00: What?
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_00: This little charade that the GOP is hosting this week in Texas,
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_00: their midterm convention that's really just... And they
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_03: can't fill the seats.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_00: That is really just like a popularity contest to see who can suck Trump's balls the hardest.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_00: Isn't going to make a damn bit of difference.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_00: Nobody cares.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_00: Nobody cares.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, son of a stupid.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_03: All right, let me move on to self-care of the week.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_03: Florida woman's going to go first,
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_03: but I will go first because she's got a little one to take care of.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_03: All right, so we all went to the pool on Friday.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_03: Finally, after weeks of crappy weather.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_03: It's either been raining or it's been too chilly
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_03: because 80 degrees sounds like it's good pool weather, but it's actually not.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_03: It's cold.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_03: The water may be nice, but as soon as you get out, it's freezing.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_03: But finally, it was in the 90s, and it was sunny.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_03: After seeing her a few weekends ago,
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_03: I am much calmer about the whole going away to college thing.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_03: She wants us to come back down regularly.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_03: She's still texting us.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_03: She spent a chunk of her time doing assignments she was giving for the weekend.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_03: And she didn't fuck around and leave it all until the last minute the way she used to.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_03: And these are the things I needed to know, right?
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_03: That she's okay.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_03: I mean, I wrote a whole article about this.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_03: But we were going to go to lunch on Monday, but Lila still had homework to do.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_03: So, you know, we picked up food for us, but we got some Starbucks for Lila.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_03: And she's, you know, she's really taking her schooling seriously, which is...
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_03: It's hard to describe how much of a difference that is from high school
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_03: where she didn't take it seriously.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_00: They're paying for it now.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_03: But she's taking it really seriously and she's like really buckling down.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_03: It's just fantastic.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_03: We ended up watching The Gray Man on Netflix,
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_03: which was something that had been on my list for a long time.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_03: What's that?
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_03: Good movie.
- 1:07:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:07SPEAKER_03: It was fantastic.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_03: That's an action flick with Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, among others.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_03: There's a bunch of other people in there.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_03: But if you have not seen it yet...
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_03: Highly recommend.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_03: There is a part two coming at some point.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_03: It's been four years.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_03: I like to think they would get to it sooner than later, but God, they're taking a long time.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_03: But yeah, it's fantastic and definitely worth your time.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_03: Anastasia has been on a Ryan Gosling kick.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_03: She just wants to watch Ryan Gosling movies now because
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_03: after she saw Project Hail Mary, she loved him in Barbie as Ken.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_03: And now every time she sees him a movie, she's like, I want to watch another Ryan Gosling movie.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_03: So yes, Mrs.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_03: Ogre and I also binge watched season one of The Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_03: and Hugh Laurie.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_03: It's a little cliche, but But it was a fun watch.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_03: And we started season two on Tuesday.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_03: I will let you know how it is next week.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_03: But definitely season one is definitely worth a watch,
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_03: especially if you want to see Tom Hiddleston's butt.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_03: Which I do not, so.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_03: He's Loki.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_03: And, you know, women love him.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_03: So I like him.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_03: I love Tom Hiddleston.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_03: He's fun to watch.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_03: I don't know if I care about his butt or not.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_03: But apparently women go, ah!
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_03: I don't even know who that is.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_00: Well, you don't watch the Marvel movies.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_00: No, my son does.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_00: Maybe he'll want to see his butt.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know him.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_00: I like him.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_00: He's good.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_03: I mean, I haven't really seen him in anything except that.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_03: I mean, he was in Kong.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_03: He was in the first King Kong movie.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_03: And I was like, oh, yay, look.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_03: It was weird.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_03: Samuel L. Jackson...
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_03: Crap, I can't remember her name, but she plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel movies.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_03: So it was Nick Fury, Captain Marvel, and Loki were all in that movie.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_03: And it was like, that's quite the collection of Marvel characters in King Kong.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_03: It was like, what the hell?
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_03: It's like, how did that happen?
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_03: But it was a great movie.
- 1:09:06SPEAKER_03: So I like Kong.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_03: Kong Skull Island was fun to watch.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_00: So my oldest son and his girlfriend came down from college on Monday to eat dinner with us.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_00: He's been trying to get in as many family dinners as he can before he moves away
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_00: from med school.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's right.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_00: He's coming up to New York?
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_00: Wait, where is he going again?
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_00: He doesn't know yet.
- 1:09:25SPEAKER_00: He has like a list of like 30 schools.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's right.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_03: He hasn't picked one yet.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's going to take a gap year.
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_00: And he doesn't even have to take a gap year, but he decided that he wanted to take a gap year.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_00: And then even though I disagreed with it,
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_00: I understand why he wants to take one because he's been going 100 miles an hour
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_00: since he was in middle school to get where he is right now.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Mom.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_00: I just need a year to,
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: you know,
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: I'm going to work,
- 1:09:53SPEAKER_00: I'm going to save money,
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_00: I'm going to work on my application for med school because apparently that makes
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_00: a lot of difference.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_00: And he's like,
- 1:09:59SPEAKER_00: I just need to like reset so that I can go into med school with the same enthusiasm
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: that I went into college.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because once he graduates med school,
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_03: once he's a doctor, he's not really going to have any time to slow down.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_00: And he wants to be a surgeon.
- 1:10:12SPEAKER_00: So he's like, you know, we're talking about another 12 years of education, really.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_00: At least eight years.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_00: So he's like, I just need, I want to travel a little bit.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_00: I just, you know.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_00: And he's not the kind of kid who takes the gap year and then is like, ah, fuck it.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_03: It's like, actually, I'm just going to keep traveling.
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_03: I'm like Bohemian now, man.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just not him.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_01: He's very much square.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_00: So we had a great dinner.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_00: I made fresh pasta sauce with local tomatoes.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_00: And I also bought locally made fresh pasta, which was really,
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_01: really good.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_00: We paired it with a chopped salad.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_00: Though I did fuck my finger up.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_00: And those of you who are watching the live taping can see the little boo-boo
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_00: that I have on my finger.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_00: I messed up on my babysitting for my brother for the next two weeks.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_00: And he has this chopper for veggies.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_00: And I put it on the sink to clean it.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_00: And I went like this.
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_00: And I cut my finger.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_00: It went right through.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_00: I was like, what is this?
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_00: A surgical tool?
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_00: Other than my injury, it was a good time.
- 1:11:21SPEAKER_00: I love when my kids get together because Aiden really has to make an effort.
- 1:11:26SPEAKER_00: He really does make an effort to connect with his little brother.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_00: We're hoping that they feel really close
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_00: when they're older despite their 14-year age gap because that has worried us
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: a little bit.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_00: It's like two different generations, you know?
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_00: Um, in other news, Mr. Florida Woman and I watched The Last Man on Earth.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_00: We got to the end and realized that it was canceled mid-storyline.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_00: Ah, boo.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_00: Ugh, don't you hate when that happens?
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_00: It was like brothers and sisters all over again.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_00: I was very upset about this.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_00: And finally,
- 1:11:56SPEAKER_00: if you're watching our live feed on Substack,
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_00: you'll know that I'm wearing my Buffalo Bills jersey.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_00: That's because it's football week, bitches.
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_00: I will undoubtedly have a tear in my eye on Sunday when we face off against the Texans.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_00: We looked really good in the preseason games, but that means absolutely fucking nothing.
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_00: It means that our second string looked good
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_00: because really your first string doesn't play in the preseason games
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_00: because you don't want them injured.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_00: We have a new coach and... Oh, that's right.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_00: They fired him after the last...
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_00: Which was... Yeah.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_00: They started on that.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_00: We were very mad about that.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_00: We have a new coach, but actually our coach isn't so new because he was our offensive coach.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_00: So he's been there for a while, so everybody knows him.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_00: And we have a lot of new faces in our roster this year, but I still believe.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_00: Get it?
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_00: We'll see what happens on Sunday, but go Bills!
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_03: She actually wrote that in the notes.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_03: Believe.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_03: B-I-L-L-I-E-V-E.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_03: I still believe.
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_03: This is what I have to put up with.
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_03: This is what I have to put up with the next several months.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_00: Oh my God, I'm going to be so insufferable.
- 1:13:13SPEAKER_00: And for somebody who,
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_00: the funny thing is,
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_00: we talked about this last year,
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_00: him and I, we've been friends for what, like, oh my God, like 2010.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's been 16 years.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we've been friends for a long time.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_00: It wasn't until I started doing the podcast with him during football season
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_00: that he realized I was a huge football fan.
- 1:13:33SPEAKER_00: He'd never seen that side of me before.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_00: And when he comes here in November, I might wear my overalls or my brother's overalls.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_00: I might borrow them.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_03: Are you going to have like a freaking piece of straw hanging out your mouth too?
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_00: I'll send you a picture of these overalls that my brother has.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_00: It's so funny.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll wear the overalls.
- 1:13:54SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'll wear the helmet.
- 1:13:56SPEAKER_00: Oh, speaking of helmets,
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_00: just out of curiosity,
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_00: did you see the thing where there was that guy that was scamming people
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_00: by pretending to be a 49ers football player?
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_00: And he was like scamming women out of money.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_00: And he was even like signing his contract on TikTok.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_00: And he was working out on the beach and in the fields.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_00: And he's like, you know, I'm a football.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_00: Look at me in this car.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_00: I'm a football player.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_00: And people were falling for this shit.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_00: And every time he worked on, he had his 49ers helmet on.
- 1:14:27SPEAKER_00: And it turned out he was not a 49ers player.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_00: At all.
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_00: And I just laugh because I'm like,
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_00: boy, real football players don't wear the helmet when they're working out.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_00: How did you guys fall for this?
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_03: They wanted to believe, believe.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_00: No, he was a Niner.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_00: Excuse me.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_00: We're not that stupid.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_00: We would Google.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_00: So anyways, go Bills.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: Yay.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_03: That is it for today's show.

- 1:16:00SPEAKER_03: So many Nazis.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_03: A lot of Nazis.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_03: All Nazis.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_03: All Nazis from top to bottom.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_03: They cannot stop us.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_03: Remember, you are never alone.
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_03: We beat the fascists once and we will fucking do it again.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_03: Adios.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_03: Adios.
- 1:16:13SPEAKER_03: Go Bills.
