- Chandler: I say again. Aaron: It never gets Chandler: Welcome back to Run After Cast, the college football podcast. I am your Wednesday host and the the lesser of two hosts on the show, so I'm sorry you get stuck with me on Wednesdays or Thursdays. And I'm joined with Aaron. Aaron: that's me. I I panicked. forgot. I gotta do this now. It's me, Aaron. Chandler: And Ryan? Ryan: Hey guys. Chandler: And we're gonna be bringing you the week three Pick'ems and Prediction episode. So just a quick recap, what we do is we go through, I list the game of the week, and these boys guess the line and the overunder, and then we reveal who's more correct, and then we go through, we have our score predictions, and we move on to the next game. So just a rapid fire, play at home, driving to work, do whatever, comment where we were wrong or where we're we're gonna ride with. So our first game of the week is Houston at Texas Tech. Aaron: Big game. I'll Yeah. Chandler: It's a good starter on Friday. I like it. Aaron: I'll kick us off here with my lowly guesses. I would say I'm gonna guess the line is nine point five heading towards Texas Tech with an overunder of fifty-three point five. Ryan: Okay, I was pretty close. Chandler: we we're throwing in the halves in early. I like this. Aaron: I I learned my lesson last week. Ryan: Halves, halves, yeah, yeah. Texas Tech, seven and a half, and then an overunder 50.5. Chandler: Ryan got the over under on the notes. Texas Aaron: Ooh. Chandler: Tech, seven and a half. And the overunder is fifty three and a half. So Aaron got the overunder. All right, so Aaron, where do you have this score being? Aaron: So I I think this is one of those games that both teams really want this. Both teams think they can go the distance, and I'm going to put it that it's gonna be 38-24 going Texas Tex way. I think they've shown a lot of strength so far. Houston has too. We're just gonna have to see it. This one, this one I don't I don't feel so sure on. Ryan: This game is gonna come down to how good Houston's O line can be. They've been pretty good at running the ball, and Connor Wingman's really good whenever he has time in the pocket. So it's gonna come up to that. But Texas Tech's D line, they have guys like AJ Holmes, and they have really good linebacker core. I think they're gonna get back there. I'm worried they're gonna stuff the run a little bit and Connor Wingman's not gonna have enough time. So I'm gonna go Texas Tech 28 24, but I'm having it a close game. Chandler: I mean, look at this guy on tape looking up pla I mean he's got player names. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: He's got this guy came prepared this week. He's not losing his his over under and his lines. So Aaron: No. Chandler: I got this one, you know, no research. No let's just go twenty eight, twenty four, Texas Tech. A little close one. Ryan: Okay. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Aaron: Yeah. Just take take Ryan did the research. Let's just do that one. Chandler: Yeah yeah. No. Yeah. Sounds good. Twenty eight twenty four. No no reason by it. Let me just yeah, yeah. the Ryan: It's O line. One team's gotta have a better O line. Aaron: Hey, we we all three agree that Houston probably got twenty four points. I just got a little more on Dex's deck. Ryan: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Chandler: man, I mean it's gonna be a good one. That open that o th Aaron: Hard out the gate. Chandler: those trenches, man, you gotta keep an eye on Okay. Next we're gonna go to the in state rivalry weekend up in Columbus. We have Kent State at Ohio State. What do we got, Ryan? Ryan: Can't read, can't write, get in the state. Chandler: Here we go. Ryan: You know? All right, well they're not favored. I'm definitely favored. I'm gonna say by fifty and a half. And I the O fromer, fifty six and a half. Chandler: Okay. Aaron: It's very funny. I'm in the same ballpark. I got 51 and a half for Ohio State with an over under being 60.5. Chandler: So you have Kent State scoring some points. Okay. Aaron: I've got him scoring some field goals. Chandler: All right. it is Ohio State fifty two and a half and the overunder is fifty eight and a half. So Ryan, where do you have the score being? Ryan: This is gonna be an angry Ohio State team after last week, and I don't think that Arthur Smith can afford playing conservative even against a team like Kent State. So he's gonna come out firing. Jeremiah Smith's gonna break all the records this week 'cause he's he's only a few off. So this will be the week. But this is an angry Ohio State team. I'm gonna say Ohio State wins sixty to three. Chandler: He is close. He's like eighteen yards off, I think, from the receiving record. I think the touchdowns and the receptions he's a little off. But the the receiving record he could break during this game, assuming he gets one target. Aaron: Yeah. And I have this game a little lower scoring for Ohio State because me and Chandley talked about this at the gym very briefly. But I think this is the week where you pull off the gas on Jeremiah, where I think we saw that reliance with Saiyan and Smith connection. And I think they're gonna have to turn to some other receivers. I think they throw the targets early on, get a comfortable lead. They start to pull them back a little bit. so I have my final B in 49-9 going Ohio State's way. Ryan: Okay, and I think that's fair. And they do like to bring people in like Brock Boy and Legend Bay. So I'm excited to see it. Hopefully that Legend Bay play a little more. He posted something that they're they're holding him hostage or something. Did you see that? Chandler: Yeah, he I I Aaron: No. Chandler: think he like yeah, I think he qu he he maybe not quoted it, but somebody I saw somebody post it. I don't know if it was him directly, but yeah, it was it was like free two, yeah. 'Cause he only played one snap in at the Texas game. So Ryan: Mm. Mm-hmm. Aaron: Mm-hmm. Chandler: for me, short and sweet, two things I wanna see is I wanna see Julian start building more rapport with his other receivers. Him and Jeremiah clearly can throw the ball around to each other. But other receivers, gotta get some touches, gotta get some chemistry built. Two, gotta see some sacks. Can't get pressure. get home against Kent State, it's gonna be a long season. Those two things gotta happen. Pull Jeremiah after the half. Get Julian some connection with the other receivers. Get him confident. Get him clicking with those guys. Give me Fifty five to three. Ryan: I like it. And I wanna see some more Aaron: That's fair. Ryan: some more Devin McEwen. Maybe some Texas Chandler: Yes. Ryan: two step Brock Boyd. Get him in there. Chandler: Exactly, exactly. Okay. So next we have a little SEC showdown for you guys. We have Georgia and Arkansas. So Aaron: I I'm gonna start this off with just an apology Chandler: It is your turn. Aaron: to the Arkansas fan base. Not for what I'm about to say. What I'm about to say, they already know. I'm sorry y'all gotta live like this right now. Feel bad for y'all. I like y'all. I think you're a good fan base. And I I just feel like you're getting punished. So for my line, I got it. 25.5 going George's way with an over-under of 54.5. Ryan: I have Georgia twenty-four and a half and fifty-five and a half. Chandler: By week six, this is not gonna be a fun show because you're just gonna hear the right answers every Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: single game. Okay, so it is twenty four and a half George's way, and it over under is fifty four and a half. So y'all both got one of them right. Good job. Congrats. Sure Ryan: I feel like this happens a lot. I feel like we split it a lot. Chandler: does. It sure does. Aaron: There is there's this moment that I'm still shocked on every time I like I'll start off and I'll say something, then Ryan comes in like right right in the same, and I'm like, we're doing okay. Chandler: The confidence, the confidence. You guys got it. You're just spitting it out. Ryan: Mm, mm. Aaron: Yeah. so when we get to the scores of this game, I feel like the line's gonna be that's a soft line for Georgia. Have Georgia just absolutely controlling this game all the way through. I don't see Arkansas having an answer to anything. so I got it forty five to nine, Georgia's way. Ryan: I mean, even we look at Arkansas last year, they weren't very good. They had Talon Green. He's gone. So they have nobody now. They only beat North Alabama 31 to 14. And then they absolutely took the belt from Utah. So they're Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: still kind of the bottom of the SEC. I think Georgia's just too good. Gunner just spreads the ball around. He has so many targets. I love the utilization of their tight ends. Nick Frazier's really good and they always block from well and their defense just always too good. I think they're just full control of this game. Gimme Georgia forty two to ten. Chandler: Okay. Heart saying thirty eight fourteen, book it. Ryan: I like it. I like it. Aaron: Ooh, so Arkansas, Arkansas got something going. Because part of me, I don't want to count Arkansas out. as I said last week, I like a strong SEC. I like contenders up to from top to bottom. But I just feel like Arkansas's in that place right now that they're gonna need a lot. And I I'm not writing off Silverfield yet. I I I think people are, but he inherited a dumpster fire and it it's A real strong burn and dumpster fire. I think it's gonna take a little time to turn things around. And Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: they're just gonna need time. Chandler: low price of 17 dollars if you are near Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday at eleven a.m. you can watch that dumpster fire ignite their offense into high gear and go out there and play football and play football potentially against Aaron: score three field goals in my prediction. Chandler: Georgia Ryan: Aaron, what'd you say last week? It costs you more to buy a hot dog and a drink. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: Okay. Now we have another Aaron: Hey, it's a good price. Chandler: we have another basket I'm not gonna say that Aaron: Cool. Chandler: We We have another In Conference little showdown here with Kentucky and Texas AM. Pick us away, Ryan. Ryan: I think the spread is gonna have Texas AM seventeen and a half and the over under at fifty-two and a half. Aaron: Sorry, I'm reading. Chandler: Putting Aaron to sleep, guys. Aaron: No, I was trying to find it in my notes. Chandler: I'm sorry. And this segment is sponsored by Sleep Number. I mean look at my notes. Golly. Aaron: Give me This is this segment is sponsored by being an old man and still writing everything down on paper. so Ryan: Sponsored by eight sleep mattresses. Aaron: So my Chandler: Sorry we bore you so much. Aaron: Yeah give me eight A and eighteen and a half over under fifty two and a half. Chandler: Texas AM 16.5 over Aaron: Ooh. Chandler: under 49 and a half. Aaron: think they missed Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: this one. I think they're wrong. Ryan: Last week, Texas AM clicked in the second half. I think Kentucky just looked way too undisciplined. Even though it stayed close to Alabama, I think they should have been up significantly at halftime. They just gave them points. Too sloppy, too many penalties, bad. Texas AM, the receiving tours too good. I love Isaiah Horton. You know, I didn't like him at Alabama. I like him more at Texas AM. And Marceau Reid's just always kind of the guy, especially these middle ish high teams like Kentucky. so I think Texas Anima's offense is too electric once clicking. I think it's gonna be on I think that Kentucky can't hang. I'm gonna give Texas Sanima forty two to twenty one. Aaron: Mm. That is almost spot on to what I have the map. Because I I agree. I said last week, I like where Kentucky's going right now. I like what Stein's putting together. I don't think it's going to be enough yet. AM is going to play either an amazing half or three quarters of football this game. I think the one quarter is going to give enough for Kentucky to put up 21 points, but I think AM's going to play significantly better, more disciplined, putting up 45. So 45 to 21 going AM's favor. Ryan: really like that. And yeah, I think Kentucky has gotten better. It's just Texas A and M's up there, you know? Aaron: I I I still think it's one of those things. Texas AM doesn't get their due in the conversation around this. I do I think they take the championship? No, because they lose big games when they really need to win them. But it's still something that they have talent, they've got a scheme. What they are doing works for them. And I do think they play exciting football. So I like AM. I want to see them do well. I like Kentucky. I wanna see them do well. I think A and M's just gonna do better. Chandler: Give me Kentucky to cover thirty one twenty. Aaron: I I don't mind that either. Ryan: Yeah, I don't hate it. Chandler: Ducky's putting a lid on it. Covering. That's my new I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna I just patent that phrase. I I know probably people Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: have said it before, but I'm gonna say whenever teams are gonna cover, they're gonna put a lid on it. And that Aaron: They're gonna put a lid on Chandler: that's my that's my saying from now on. Even though it's probably already said. Ryan: You're gonna cover it up? Stifle the fire? Chandler: They're covered. Next we have Alabama's get back. Florida State versus Alabama. And I will say the good news is this is in Tuscaloosa, so the power will be on. so they won't have to play in the dark. So Aaron, where do you have this game being? Aaron: Here's another apology to a fan base. FSU fans, I like you. I think you're cool. I think you guys like to party. Have a good time. Chandler: Party well. Aaron: I think your program is cursed. That guy should have eaten the dog poop years ago. He still needs to do it. Until that happens, y'all better be invested in some Etsy witches to get some like sage burning or something because this curse is too strong for you. I've got the line at twenty point five Alabama's favor. Fifty point five is the over under. Ryan: I was I was kinda right there. I put Alabama twenty one and a half and fifty point five. Aaron: Mm. Chandler: It is FSU by nineteen and a half. Aaron: You couldn't even you couldn't even get us to take second Chandler: Alabama nineteen and a half and the overunder is forty eight and a half. Aaron: Wow, a little lower than I thought, but th they've Chandler: What do we have what do we have the scorpion? Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: I I've got I've got Florida State with no chance in this game. I don't see any life going for i got it Alabama's way, forty five to ten. Ryan: Yeah, FSU, I'm sorry. I mean y'all should have got destroyed by SMU. They moved the ball so well. They just absolutely dominated your defense. They just had too many turnovers. That game was skewed. And Alabama, they have way too sound of a run defense, and that's all FSU does is run the ball. You can't do anything else. They're gonna stuff it up. And FSU doesn't have Gus Mills on this year, so they're not gonna be able to score. I'm sorry, FSU. I like y'all. My sister went there. I have friends to go there. But Alabama showed they can score and they can run the ball when they don't have connection with Ryan Grubb, so hopefully they take that approach, they simplify things again, they let Keelan improvise. That's what worked against Kentucky. But it's FSU. So give me Alabama forty five to seventeen. Aaron: okay. So you got forty five or Alabama as well. You're giving you're giving extra score. Chandler: FSU's putting a lid on it. Thirty Aaron: Ha ha ha ha. Chandler: thirty four twenty. Alabama wins. Aaron: 3420. Hey, I'd yeah. Ryan: Point put a lid on it. You're gonna get a shirt put a lid on it. Aaron: I'd love that for LSU. Or I'd love that for Chandler: Yep. Aaron: FSU. If they can if they can pull off twenty one points here, I'll be I'll be thrilled for yeah. Ryan: Can they cover? Chandler: Listen, I'm just following the heart. No research necessary. Following the heart. Lids Ryan: Okay. Chandler: on things. What's what we do around here? Aaron: Put put a lid on it. Ryan: I don't think they could cover. They'd have to score twenty one. Chandler: Twenty, not twenty one. Come on. next we work our way to ACC Town and we have SMU and the Louisville Cardinals swearing off Aaron: You're gonna have to say it right for our fans out here. Chandler: for the Louisville Cardinals and my guy Lincoln Keenholz. Aaron: yeah. Ryan: You know, this is gonna be a close game, but I think they're gonna pick Louisville two and a half and over under fifty six and a half. Aaron: Let an old man turn his page here. I also have them going as a close game with the line three point five going towards Louisville and fifty eight point five is the over under. Chandler: It is the Louisville Cardinals, a one and a half. Aaron: Whoa. Chandler: And the over under at fifty-nine and a half. This is gonna be an absolute barn burner, as the kids say. A barn burner. Aaron: They see this as a shootout. This is crazy. Ryan: Okay. So so they also have this really close. That's what I'm saying. It seems really close here. And yeah, high point game. I totally agree with that part. I really like Louisville. I think Isaac Brown, he's like one of my favorite running backs. I love the way he runs the ball. I think Lincoln Keyholes has looked good ever since he got in that second half of the old miss game. Looked terrible first half. You know, I totally wrote him off before I saw him play again. But I think SMU's offense is just too good. They they get too many yards, score too many points. But they also have too many turnovers, and that keeps them in too many games that they should win. So I think this is gonna be a shootout, but I think if they limit those turnovers, the SMU can pull it out. So I'm gonna give Kevin Jennings and this SMU team a win thirty five thirty-two. Aaron: Mm. Chandler: Mmm, upset of the weekend on paper. Aaron: It's also going be our first split that I have this game going a different direction. I think Louisville, they had their trouble with penalties as well. I think this game will come down to stall drives due to penalties. How many drives for each team get stalled out? I really liked what I saw with Louisville against Olmus. That second half was really good, minus the penalties towards the end. Teen Holtz woke up. I think if he is still playing at that consistent level. I've got Louisville taking this thirty one twenty four. I I see that gap opening up and I think they get away with a few less penalties than S. They tried to give Ryan: You know Aaron: that game to Florida State. Ryan: You know, I like this, and yeah, I think this is a game of discipline. Will Kevin Jennings put the ball in harm's way, or will Louisville be too undisciplined with penalties? Aaron: Mm-hmm. Chandler: Yeah, because I Ryan: But see Chandler: mean SMU had video game numbers against FSU. I mean they w they had so many offensive yards of production, but they had no like they just had so many turnovers to show for it. I mean it was it was not good. But with all that being said, I have my guy Lincoln going out there and slanging that thing around and winning thirty eight two Thirty one. Ryan: You know, I don't hate it. Lincoln's grown on Aaron: Okay. No. Ryan: me. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah, we'll have to see. like I think this will be Chandler: Billy Fessler's been grooming him well. Hopeful. Aaron: No, we'll we'll have to see. If he still shows up, if he's still playing, like he played that old miss second half, I think I this will be a good proving ground for him. Good matchup. Ryan: Let's see if they give balloon coverages too, like Well Miss did. But I don't know. Chandler: So I do not have SMU putting a lid on this thing. All right, next. The Heisman front runner takes on South Carolina. Camario Taylor and the Mississippi State Hale State crew take on the South Carolina Cox at South Carolina. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Chandler: Aaron, start us off. Aaron: Well Chandler: Nope, doesn't matter. You're the Missouri State fan. Start us off. Aaron: I know. So I'm going I I think Vegas has it 4.5 going South Carolina's direction with an over under a 60.5. Ryan: I think they're gonna pick South Carolina seven, fifty-six Chandler: Mm. Ryan: and a half. Chandler: Another barn burner, as the kids say. Mississippi State is the underdog. South Carolina by four. And the over under is fifty-eight and a half. So Aaron, where do you where do you have Aaron: They also they see it as shoot out. Chandler: Camario taking this team on Saturday at three fifteen? At the cockpit. Aaron: I think I haven't taken them to higher heights. At this point, I'm gonna say everything I say from here on out about Mississippi State, I'm biased. South Carolina Chandler: He's a homer. Aaron: fans, I like you. I like your program. I love Beamer. I I like what I like what's going on. I love Lenore Sellers. I I love this matchup because I think this is two high-ceiling quarterbacks dueling it out. And honestly, I think it kind of comes down to the arm on both of these guys because it's going to be who creates the bigger momentum, big plays, and both are capable of so much in that area. So where this game goes is stopping the big plays. It's going to be all on the defense to keep whichever team in line. My thing is. I think Shane Beamer's ready for this. I don't think he's underestimating Mississippi State. I think he's taking this very seriously. I think he knows that we have speed as a weapon. Our speed with our receivers is lethal. I think he's going to know that. But he's also going to have to fight the same thing I talked about last week with Minnesota. You've got to bring pressure on Kamar. You can't give him all day to throw that ball. He'll make the throw. So he's going to bring pressure. He's going to rely on the talent he has to defend receivers. But knowing the problem isn't stopping the problem. And they're two big different things. I think Mississippi State takes this one. I think they they I think they run away with it. And my score prediction is 4524. Mississippi State's direction. I will say my wife and even Chandler: Woo hoo hoo hoo Homer town. Ryan: Holy blowout. Aaron: more ardent Mississippi State fans said that's ambitious. And she wanted me to relay 3524 is probably more realistic. But I stuck to my guns. I want forty five, twenty four. Chandler: Double digit SEC road win for the old Camario and Co. Aaron: I think I think South Carolina gets gassed in the second half on that defense. There's just too much air. Mario is lethal. I'm gonna bet on him big until he gives me a reason not to. Ryan: You know, I think that you're right, they're ready for this game, but they've only been ready for this game for the last two weeks. And this is both of their first real games, they haven't played any one yet. So, the question will be can Chandler: Whoa! Whoa! Aaron: Ha ha ha ha. Chandler: They played the Golden Gophers! Come on! Come on! Come on! Ryan: Okay, whatever. Whatever. So, can the Aaron: That's not an SEC opponent. Ryan: South Carolina defense withstand this Mississippi Chandler: Crazy. Ryan: State offense? I think they're both so dynamic. I love Lenoris Sellers. He's wonderful. He's dynamic. But Camario has the most natural gifted arm talent I think I've seen from a quarterback in a while. And South Carolina's known to blow games in the past. And I think that Lenores is good. He Chandler: Texas AM. Ryan: is a he is a great. Receiving court. He's got guys like Nick Harbor, but I don't think that's gonna be enough. So I'm going to go Mississippi State 32 to 28. Aaron: Ooh. I I I could now I'm I in my unbiased take here, take my Mississippi State hat off, you know, put my cowbell down. I could see this going the other way. I could see Lenoris having one of the best games of his life. I could see us having some difficulty with South Carolina's defense. I think Lenoris Sellers could produce on offense. If they win, I wouldn't be surprised. Having the at home advantage, I think, does add some swing. Ryan: Wait, did I say South Carolina? Aaron: No. No, I'm just I'm just I'm just clear in the air. Ryan: I was gonna say, hold on. Aaron: So but it Chandler: Air's clear. Aaron: yep, I I just wanna say I like it. I Ryan: I'm clear. Let me be clear. Aaron: think I I can't wait to see this game because this is a matchup I love. Chandler: Give me a stunner. Overtime victory. 3835. Upset. In the cockpit. Kyle Ferry field goal Ryan: Bile fairy field goal? Bile fairy field goal for the game. Chandler: to walk off the game. Thirty five thirty eight. Tail state. Give me it. Book it. Aaron: Let's take it. Put a lid on. Chandler: Put a lid on it. Kyle Ferry, ice it. Yes. He will. Ryan: Kyle Ferry is gonna put the three point lid. An icy lid. Freeze warning. Aaron: I love it. Hey, he's a great kicker. Chandler: It's gonna be like the Dr. Pepper commercial and the co the guy's gonna be like, hey, I'm feeling a little bit ice. Ryan: I love that garage. His leg. Yeah. Chandler: Okay. Aaron: Shout out to Kyle Perry. Great kicker. Great dude. Chandler: I'm gonna save the best game of the weekend for last. We're gonna Aaron: so we're gonna talk about Auburn next? Chandler: We're gonna take a trip to Freestown. And we're gonna and we're gonna go So Ryan: What? I thought you meant that means we're gonna skip the LSU game for now and we're gonna talk what Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: we're gonna talk about Auburn versus Florida. Brian, what do you have this line in over under being? Ryan: I think they're gonna pick Florida by four and a half and I think the over under is gonna be fifty three and a half. Aaron: got them also taking Florida with two and a half with the over-under being fifty-four and a half. Chandler: It is Florida by two and a half and the over under is fifty three and a half. Aaron: Who Ryan: You know, that's not that bad. And I love this Aaron: Not Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: game. It's a nice old rivalry. Me and my dad were watching the old two thousand six game where we were underdogs. It was a night game. And it was just it was just we dominated. It was so electric. And I wanna picture that feeling of that happening again. But these Florida fans are so confident. They think they've already won this game. They keep saying, like their players, like they kept them all, but we had to go out and like get some. But the ones we actually got We're from South Florida, who actually beat these same players their time all keeping from last year, and we actually combined them with a better talent and a better defense. I know they have baugh and philo, they're both super good, and the rest of their offense looks good. It's all about how dynamic their offense is, and our defense is good, but we're yet to show that we can score a lot of points, just like Alex Golish promised us. And he promised me personally that he would do that. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: And this game is gonna be down to whether we can score twenty five points. If we do, we probably win this game. DJ Durkin doesn't allow people to score twenty four points, no matter how good they are, very often. But I have a really bad feeling we can't score twenty five points. We just look too sloppy. We can't run the ball good enough. I'm kinda scared Florida wins this game twenty to seventeen. Aaron: Whew. That I wouldn't have guessed. That's a shocker to me. because I agree with you. And I want to say next few next few statements I'm gonna make, I'll preface with saying, Ryan, I love you. Auburn fans, I like you. no ill will to your program. I think we see Summerall come out here with the idea. I think he can see something. Auburn needs to win this game. It's at home, it's a huge advantage. The Auburn fans can help this team. But I think Summerless is just going bring pressure after pressure after pressure. I think he is going to stack the line to swarm Byron Brown. And I think early on, Byron gets some points because of it. I think we get some passes out there. But I think as the game goes on, and Florida offensively is going to just run the ball, just right up. Punish the line over and over and over again. I think first half it's gonna seem really close. Second half, the war of attrition starts to turn to a summer all because he's worn him down. I think Byron starts trying to play hero ball too early, puts the ball at risk a few times, starts hitting some three and outs. Defense gets gassed. That was that run game is just gonna take him. And so I have this game going twenty one thirteen, Florida's way. Chandler: Tell you something, boys. I don't have a lid on this one. Alright. This lid's blown Aaron: Mm-hmm. Chandler: off. Ryan: Ha ha ha. Chandler: And I could be accused of taking a lot of illegal substances when I make this pick. Because Alex Golish has not shown to me that he can do this. But Aaron: Yep. Chandler: I have Auburn winning double digits in this football game. I have them winning 30 to 20. Auburn, home game, electric atmosphere. Give me it. Ryan: It's gotta happen, Chandler. I will be so happy. I will like do anything. Aaron: I I hope it happens. Chandler: And I was gonna pick against you, but you know what? I'm gonna be a homer for the boys on this podcast. I don't care who they're playing, because you know what, that's what family's for. And it's gonna happen. Thirty to twenty. Aaron: And Ryan, if it doesn't happen, Ryan: I appreciate it. It needs to happen. Aaron: you can join me over here in Mississippi State. We're we're having a great time. Ryan: Not if you beat South Carolina. Chandler: I was just I just wanted to get a I wanted to get in front of all the accusations of being high when I made that pick. so you know Buck it. Aaron: Yeah. But I don't know that I still wouldn't accuse you. Ryan: Like medium. Chandler: Okay. And now to ice the cake. To slice the brownies and give to the folks at home to have their dessert and get ready for an absolute master class of an outing. They've just had the hot dogs. They've just had the hamburgers. They've had a few liquid beverages go down the hatch. They've played a bit of cornhole. They've Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: played a little bit of can jam maybe. Who knows? And they're ready for this game. Ole Miss versus LSU. Where do we have it? Aaron: think it gets I don't think it gets bigger than this. Like this, I this is probably one of the most hyped up regular season games I could think of in a long time. This is one people watch. I think the the real guys that really want to see how the season going are gonna watch Auburn Florida. It's a fun predictor game. I think that one's Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: really good. If you want a storyline, you want drama, this is the game to turn into I don't even know how this game ends. I could see this game not reaching the end with how visceral And how crazy this game could end up. This could be a 10 cent beer night type situation. just pandemonium. I'd love to see it. I'd love to see it absolutely get wild. But I think Vegas gonna have this close. I think they're gonna read that hype. I think they're gonna have it going the line at three towards LSU with an over-under at 58.5. Ryan: I think LSU is gonna be at six and a half over under 56 and a half. Chandler: The line is LSU two and a half and the overunder Aaron: Really? Chandler: at fifty seven and a half. Ryan: Tight. Chandler: There's gonna be some offense played Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: on this field. Aaron: yeah. And Ryan: yeah. Aaron: I'm gonna I'll start this off with saying I like Trinidad. I think he's great. I think he's one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. but I don't like you. I'm sorry for what I'm about Chandler: Ha ha ha. Aaron: to say. but no, I would say if this Chandler: You take my eggs every year. Aaron: I would say if this was any other coach but Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss would have such an advantage here. This would be intimidating. This is one of the scariest situations you can put in. I think Lane Kiffin loves this. I think he can't wait. This is a game he's been looking forward to because that's who he is. He is trouble. He likes it. He likes the attention. And I think in this scenario, all this buildup, Ole Miss needs this. They need this in their hearts to feel better. They got a villain that they want to see fall. I think Lane Kiffin. Just wants to annoy them, agitate them, make them upset. He wants to win this game. It's just a want though. He doesn't need it. And so I think LSU comes in here ready. I think, I think Lane is gonna scream at them boys saying line up their heads in an orderly fashion in front of me because I want to see the look of embarrassment on him. Like I think he comes in looking for blood, making it as punishing as possible for Ole Miss. I got it all going. LSU's weigh thirty seven to seventeen. Ryan: I think the only bad thing I've seen from LSU is they had a slight struggle against Louisiana Tech. But all four of those turnovers were in one quarter. So the rest of the game they played pretty good. They need to clean it up a little, but they've been prepping for this game. And Lane Kiffin, like you said, loves this game. He set Ole Miss on fire, and Trinidad and Kewan Lacey were the firemen. And they put it out and they've been waiting for this game. All the pressure is on Ole Miss to get revenge. on Lane Kiffin for this game. So Olmus is gonna give this literally everything they have. This is their Iron Bowl. I think Lane is too aggressive that sometimes. But Kewon and L in Trinidad are literally going to die on that field if they have to, trying to win this game. I think the lights are gonna be too bright and it's gonna be a little too much hooplaw that Kewan and Trinidad are gonna get their emotions tied in this game too much. And I think the LSU pulls it out thirty five twenty seven. Chandler: Let me go back. a lot can happen in a quarter, Ryan. So just because they have four turnovers in one quarter, you know, quarter can swing a game. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: Some people don't get fo the ball four times Aaron: Not Ryan: in a quarter. Aaron: yeah, not here in the SEC. Chandler: Mm-mm, yeah. Ryan: Well Texas Tech all right. Aaron: Happens all the time, Daddy. Chandler: Okay. So This game Real tight. I have this game at thirty-four thirty-one. Old Miss is taking it. Aaron: you can't do that. Chandler: You know why? Because I have a coworker that's going to that game and he's an OMS fan. So shout out Andre Ryan: Andre Chandler: shout out shout out Andre because Ryan: Andre Aaron: Andre, I want you Chandler: he's gonna be there. Aaron: to know you don't have to live like this. You can look a little bit different. Go to Mississippi State. We love cowbells. It's a lot of fun. Come hang out with me. we can be friends if you change your ways. Chandler: But regardless of how all these picks shake out, this game is gonna be a fun one to watch. Aaron: It's yeah, my eyes are gonna be on Ryan: Mm-hmm. Game of the year. Aaron: this game. I can't I wanna I'm trying to think what Chandler: Lot of optics. Aaron: are what is Olmus gonna throw on the field? What object will be pelted down Ryan: Well Aaron: on the LSU sideline? Ryan: Probably lot of bullets. A lot of knives. A lot of arrows. I I don't know. Aaron: Yeah, I mean we might see a man die on the Chandler: Wait it it's Oxford, Mississippi, baby. There's a lot to Aaron: field. Yep. Ryan: They're they're gonna have to put Lane in like a bulletproof box on like a hoverboard so he can wheel around on the sideline. Or he's gonna have to have a little cart guy. Chandler: I think I him in a little j a gyrosphere from from Jurassic Park. Like the thing for Fortnite. Yeah, we already had the same conversation at the gym earlier. Ryan: Ooh Yes a hamster ball from Fortnite. Yeah, yeah. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. I'm I'm just hoping Ole Miss is smart enough to limit the amount of wide open plastic containers they're giving out. If they are giving out solo cup styles, people are gonna be chucking pee all game. They're gonna be menaces. Those things are gonna be all over the field. And it w we know Ole Miss likes to throw stuff on the field. I've seen him do it many times. So Ryan: If I was Ole Miss, I hand piss balloons and let him throw him at Lane Kiffin. Aaron: i I feel like it's that's so he better bring a change of clothes with him because he's gonna get Chandler: And not for the Gatorade. Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. He's gonna welcome the Gatorade. Chandler: Okay, so that wraps up our Pick'em and prediction episode. Of week three, it's flying by. This new format's been great. I feel like we're recording like every night because Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: we record twice a week now. but let us know in the comments how you're liking the new format. We're we're lovin' having these out here. We're loving them not having any know of like what's happening lines or over unders and having this just be a a genuine raw reaction to it. So It's been a very fun format, especially as the host, a little carefree position to where I don't have to guess over under lines and l make a fool of myself. I just have to guide the ship. No matter if it's sinking or not, I will guide it. So Ryan: And then he puts the cap on it. Chandler: Exactly. We'll put we'll put Aaron: Yeah, he puts a lid on Chandler: a lid on it for sure.
