- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: It might surprise you.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: But again, this is a very important perspective and important insight for us to gain and to present to you guys as Browns fans.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Because we're getting a more national viewpoint on what
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: The Browns could be.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: This is sometimes we feel like we're so close to the situation.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: We are so into everything, every bit of news, every little room or speculation with the Cleveland Browns that
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: getting a more national perspective.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody who doesn't just cover one team but who covers the entire NFL and has this wider scope around the league that he does for a living in the industry.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: It can help us gain a little bit different perspective.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: or confirm some priors or what have you.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe bucks some notions that we might have before either way.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's really awesome to get his perspective.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I hope you guys are enjoying this.

- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's a die hard online Browns fan community that, I mean, again, like for the Cavs games, where do you want to be if you're a Cleveland fan?
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: You want to be in the Discord hanging out with everybody because, you
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if you're watching the game at home and maybe you're way for whoever else is around just isn't that into it, it doesn't really care about the game and you're just I got a spout off about what I'm seeing man that discord is the place to do it and you will get some great interaction while you're in there.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: So come hang out with everybody join the dogs dot com are let's kick it over to the second part of our conversation with Derek Brown.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: Talk to you about these receivers we just got.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think we've, obviously, as a fan base, we're excited.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we haven't had first round.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: We never take a first round receiver.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: And we got two of them, not in the first round, but we got two first round caliber wide receivers this year.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I still don't know how it happened, but it did.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: And we did it.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: We took them.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: talked, just tell us your breakdown on Conceptione and Boston man.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_02]: I have grin in the air to hear.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, these are two of my favorite receivers.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: Pre-draft, this was my Widersyver 2, Casey Conception.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: So Pre-draft, Casey Conception was my Widersyver 2 of the class.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: Den's up Austin was my wife or two for three of the class.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_03]: So the only player better than them in this class per my estimation watching their film, the prospect breakdowns, everything, you know, my guy like better was Cardinal Tate.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: And I, I freaking love Casey, because I've see on this game and I just, he gets so disrespected like all the drop BS and stuff like that.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like dude, you see too many instances
- 4:07[SPEAKER_03]: On his film where we want to talk about contested catch rates and what have you or just straight up like on his film coming down with balls and traffic like I could tell you two different plays I can't remember the games.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_03]: Two different plays that pop into my mind right now where he took a seam shot and took a deep cross over the middle of the field and immediately got lit up by this by two of the safeties or the corner and the safety right after you secured it and it's like.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have hands problems.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have catching problems.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_03]: Whenever you secure a ball in traffic, get smacked to the ground and you hold onto it, I'm not worried about your freaking hands.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just not.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_03]: And Casey was one of my favorite guys because you've seen the versatility in his game and how his game is grown over college.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_03]: The even the numbers that he put up in his final season in college,
- 5:00[SPEAKER_03]: If Marcel Reed wasn't, not a great quarterback, Casey could have put up even bigger numbers.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I think it stands out like, I'll get into his film in a second here, but.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_03]: When I'm looking at a guy from an analytical standpoint that was had a 12.2 A dot and he was also 26th in the freaking nation and the act of perception.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like he's getting all of this underneath stuff like what he began his career in college and it's just dumping run underneath and he's creating yak when you see a guy that's getting targeted in his A dot.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: is 12.2, and he's still producing after the catch.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: It speaks volumes, man, and then you turn on the film, and the guys that I'm really high on year after year, it's, it's, it's when the analytics and the film match up, and you get this complete just tapestry, this painting of a player,
- 5:58[SPEAKER_03]: to where all of this matches up and you're like oh man he's really damn good he's just really damn good.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like I remember one of my close friends in the industry I was texting with Ragee Q for anybody that's not familiar with his work.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm amazing human awesome former collegiate football player he's he's one of the best in the game and I was texting with him in January after I turned on Casey's film because I was preparing for to see
- 6:28[SPEAKER_03]: Casey, because Epsilon's going to get drafted in number out one.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_03]: I don't give a crap on anybody who freaking says, he's awesome, he's going to go out.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_03]: And if he would have tested pre-draft, he would have gone even higher.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_03]: The Browns would even have him right now.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_03]: It was an absolutely blessing for them that he didn't test because he had the knee scope and all that kind of stuff because if you would have tested, I think he would have ran on the four threes.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think he would have gone way higher in the first round and they would have been priced out of him.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: So the fact that they got him,
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: His ability as a route runner and a route salesmanship is freaking fantastic.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_03]: He was a top three route runner in this class for me.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: His ability to line up all the way across the formation.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: You have proof of concept in his evaluation and time and college, both as a slot receiver and after the catch weapon,
- 7:18[SPEAKER_03]: as well as a deep threat.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: He could beat man coverage.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: He can exploit zone.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: He has a really good feel for spatial awareness and zone and where to sit down routes, setting up corners, good understanding of leverage.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_03]: He's just really damn good at football, man.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think
- 7:33[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be either wide receiver one or it's going to be him and Boston competing for that throne from day one because the talent is real for KCC But I'm curious on y'all thoughts before I kind of hop this over to Denzel Boston because I could literally just keep talking for the next 20 minutes about both these receivers Because they are legit both really damn good
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't 100% sold on KC and I remember Josh text sent a text out.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember where it was at the group or was it just me, but he was basically like this dude said he's a dog.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: You got to watch this kid.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: This kid.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's crazy good.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember sitting down and I watched probably like 30, 40 minutes and I was like, one away from it going.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have any of that on our team.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: Special team is a huge need for us.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: This kid's, I'm watching this kid take punts back, take kicks back, and then like,
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Once you start seeing all of that but then you look at the character too and like you listen to them and like you just kind of fall in love with the guy Like just all I came away just being so excited as a Cleveland Browns fan that that's who we got to that's that's a guy that I get to go Where his jersey and like represent like that's a kind of guy that I'm like I love everything about this kid I was sold on him Josh sold me on him big time and I am glad I listened and then we ended up with him I was I'm so thankful
- 8:49[SPEAKER_03]: culture culture said or he's going to be a tone said or for that locker room and that white receiver room he now you know it's hard to say that for a rookie and stuff coming in especially when you have veterans around you and Jerry Judy being the old man in the room and stuff but he's going to be a quiet leader he will be well we like those quiet leaders and Cleveland I mean the big shove was
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: This fan base is heart and soul for years, just the way he should have been game the dude didn't say a word, let his play do all the talking.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: He didn't have to talk man exactly and that's that's one of the guys.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's like you ain't got to run your mouth when you shut people up with your play on the field.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_03]: you let your play do in the talk and man that's totally fine man I respect the hell out of it and um yeah just final thing on KC before I hop over to balls and 66.7% contest to catch rate in his final season in college he plays bigger than his size yeah so size matters and things like that but when you play bigger than you are at the catch point and with because it's not just the size it's the play strength aspect of it
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: How big are you and how do you how do you utilize the strength that you do have because you'll see a lot of guys They're just monsters in the weight room and stuff.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_03]: They test greater.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: They jump out of the damn gym and then you turn on the film and you're like Hell is that on the field like this dude getting bullied at the damn catch point He's getting pushed off his routes.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: He gives up his chest easily and corners just automatically get into his body and they could press his ass into oblivion
- 10:19[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like, where's all that?
- 10:21[SPEAKER_03]: That ain't the case with KC.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_03]: And moving that over to Boston, I love the fact that they got both of these guys because I think not only are they both like two of my favorite players out of this rookie class, but also the mismatch of their skill sets.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's great, man, but there's Casey, you can play him as a full-time wide receiver on the outside, but you could also move him into the slot.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: You can do some of the things with the manufactured run game with him, and Boston can be your guy, look, just ask him to go play X, go play X, go be an 80 to 85 to 90 percent on the parameter wide receiver.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_03]: Go do the damn thing, be Cortland Sutton 2.0, body guys and the thing about Boston's film that I love and I do not give a crap that he didn't run a 4 3 40 doesn't have that kind of speed, the most overrated trait for wider severs that gets NFL teams, evaluators, everybody into trouble is raw speed, 40 times.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_03]: I legitimately,
- 11:32[SPEAKER_03]: do not give a shit.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_03]: As long as you don't run a freaking 4-7 or 4-8 and I'm not timing you with a freaking sundial, I don't care about it, man.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_03]: The laundry list of guys that run 4-5s in the NFL and have had illustrious careers is just massive.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_03]: But people lose that when we get into the conversation of prospects and everybody's doing an eye and over testing metrics and crap like that.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: Please head to my timeline right now.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_03]: As you're listening to this or watching this, pull it up on a second screen.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: Look at the last rep that he just had in OTAs today, where he was on a stuttering go, and you see the fluidity and the smoothness in his movements, where he gears down, gets the corner back to bite, and then he accelerates immediately, and he pulls
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: That kind of speed is littered throughout it all of his college tape.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_03]: He offers you something after the catch.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_03]: He is a catch point ballpoint winner.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_03]: He's got soft, awesome hands.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like we're talking about over the last two years, 4.5% 3.1% drop rates, a 60 to 0.8% contested, catch rate over the last two seasons.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_03]: He was amongst all FPS wide receivers in his final year in college that had at least ten contested targets.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_03]: He was fifth and contested to catch right now.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's really freaking good, man.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I don't care about raw speed questions and things of that nature.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_03]: My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: And allowing Jerry Judy to play a full-time slot role and be a flanker, and honestly where he excels the most and not having to carry the pressure of being the number one in this passing attack, you drafting both of these guys, you move Jerry Judy into a role that is more comparable to his skills at this stage of his career and honestly who he is as a player,
- 14:01[SPEAKER_03]: with both of these guys on opposite side of him, as well as you have Casey and Boston who can play in two wide receiver sets, where they want to go 12, 13 personnel, be multiple, go 21 personnel, get Samsung out there, get Juddkins, you're not limited at all, but the two wide receivers did you just draft it in this class?
- 14:22[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, the Browns, you guys included, you should be sending gift baskets to the 49ers for allowing Denzo Boston to get to the fact that they didn't draft him ahead of you.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sports books before, right?
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing into the house.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: You're not betting against some sports book.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_02]: You're trading against other real world people.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: So if you think the public is wrong, like everybody's overreacting to these smoke screens in the draft or sleeping on a prospect, you can literally take the other side of the market.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not just sports either, you can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: It works like this, simple yes or no markets, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.

- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: It that that would be my only you touched on it the only thing that I came away from draft night.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: I was a very big Casey guy.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was a very excited.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: We took him.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, that sucks.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't get Boston, but whatever next night comes around and it was shocking.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then even farther down in the end.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you want to make it like, like, well, I don't run the neighborhood.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're just leaking it up.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: The last time I ran through my house, high-fiving about anything the Cleveland Browns did.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: This is a tough moment for me was when we traded for Odell Beckham.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't gotten that excited.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: And other than when we beat the crap out of the Steelers in the wild card, I remember that being like a very like...
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: we finally have made it moment in my life and then, you know, like how that worked out.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: So, but no, just absolutely the first four picks of this draft.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just came away just being absolutely this blown away.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was going to say I was excited on it.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: When they took Boston, I was I was running, but the pants didn't come off until we got a manual making it.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, baby.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: You kidding.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_03]: You should have gone in first round.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: The fact that they got the top offensive lineman on their board, they rebate their entire White receiver room, and you get a playmaker with the ball production of EMW on the back end.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: I was supposed to sell some like a plus draft, I don't even care what the next like that tomorrow doesn't matter, Saturday doesn't matter, don't don't even care.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think I'm doing a plus in my draft grade.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: I got to look at it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_03]: But I want to say I gave him an A plus.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: It was an A or an A plus.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: When I used to it, I knew Justin has a question, I think, about Harold Fettman, plus off of it.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_02]: Which we need to, I mean, we got a factor fan and then when you're talking about these wider shores now and all these options we suddenly have.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: But what's some, I don't know, tidbits insight, what you take away on Joe Royer, the tight end that we took.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: We took two, we took Carson Ryan as well, but...
- 19:28[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I mean, that was a course of rock, that wasn't a joy of Roya reflection.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, that wasn't about Roya.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: I actually liked Roya a good bit.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to pull up my Evel on him.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: He actually popped from a number of analytics.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_03]: He's a good dump and run tied in, like, over his final two seasons.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: He was 50th and 33rd in yards per route run.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: He can give you some slot utilities, I think that whether they want to mix a match of going 12 and 13 personnel with him and Fanon and kind of get more creative, like when you talk about who's going to play in line, who's going to be big slot, things of that nature, basically who's going to run against the frickin' linebacker and who's going to take the nickel.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to all for you some versatility in that, as well as being like over the last
- 20:25[SPEAKER_03]: He pops after the catch, too, man.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: In 2025, he was fourth in the act per reception.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_03]: In 2024, amongst all FBS titans, he was 14th and Miss Tackles forced.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_03]: My only thing with him is, I think he's a serviceable blocker, but not somebody, like you're not gonna use him as your lead on like pin pole runs, things of that nature, for you get him out in space and you're asking him to mall somebody or whatever.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_03]: as an in-line guy that you're asking him to just to seal the edge or do enough, then he can do that.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_03]: But I thought he was a fantastic pick for where they got him.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's great, man.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we're just tight end, obviously, Harold fans a different type of tight end.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the way they use him, his skill set.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: So we really do need some other players to fill out that rotation, especially now David and Joker's gone and signing out there in LA with the Chargers.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: I've been telling people like don't, don't sleep on Joe Royer.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a chance here you're working with him.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: He could be out there and play a bigger role than people might think.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think Royer will be either tied into coming out of camp.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to obviously like, he's going to bypass Blake Whitehart and Jack Stoll.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think those were just kind of like, Dept Chart filler guys.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_03]: So if they didn't, if they looked at this class and this class of tight ends was deep, it was full with a lot of guys.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_03]: Very similar to kind of Roya's acumen of like four, six, four, seven speed could be solid tight ends, like in a pinch, can they give you serviceable, like league average starting tight in reps with, you know, or be a high end tight in two for your depth chart.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_03]: There was a ton of these guys in this draft class, and Roya was definitely one of them.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_03]: Also I'll throw it in here too,
- 22:14[SPEAKER_03]: two drops over spinal two seasons in college.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_03]: So, dependable guy, I think he's going to be a really good option, depending on what kind of coverage looks they get, he's not a guy you're going to ask him to, like he's not a mismatch weapon in the passing game where you're ever going to ask Joe Rollier to split out wide or beat man coverage or things of that nature, but can he
- 22:38[SPEAKER_03]: be a good yak threat or a guy that can beat his own coverage and offer you some versatility?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I absolutely believe that.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: Awesome.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know they wanted Oscar Delp in the third round.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: Man.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: And the Saints took him right before we were on the clock.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: And as soon as they, the Saints took Delp, we traded right out of that spot.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: So, yep.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's who we wanted.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: I like your lawyer and like you said just the two drops over the last two years, it's not a guy who only saw like a handful of targets.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: This guy was heavily targeted and that's not an offense.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: He was a big part of that passing game.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: So it's only have the two drops is really impressive.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: Justin, what did you want to get into about famine?
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: uh... no i just uh... whether are you basically already answered it how much i i looked at fanon is like a generation of kind of talent coming out of last year you know for fantasy and is for the team you know and uh... i just curious how that you kept pretty much answered it but whether it be affected long-term i guess and it sounds like not really he's still gonna get
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's still going to get his and the fact what kind of surprised me with him was that he did play 42% of his snaps in line last year.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: I think considering what we all kind of thought or at least my questions about him as a prospect entering the league was
- 24:06[SPEAKER_03]: you look at how like what I thought of him as a prospect it was like okay if he hits he could be very good but it's also you can't overlook all of the questions whether it was like good but not great athleticism
- 24:22[SPEAKER_03]: the blocking stuff, his ability to play in line as well as, is he going to be a tweener?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: Is he going to be one of these guys that once he gets into an NFL room and they're like, man, we don't know what to do with him.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of like, Jehan Bell will be a street year.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: I thought Fannon, you know, he acquitted himself well.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_03]: Like, was he an amazing blocker?
- 24:41[SPEAKER_03]: No, is that ever going to probably be like, his strong suit calling card?
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: probably not, but if he's catching his freaking checks at the end of the day about what he's doing as a receiver and what he offers you in the passing game, that still doesn't mean that he can't sit here and get the freaking job done, you know, like, I think all these different schemes and with the NFO go into more condensed formations, more 12, 13 personnel and stuff like that, you can find blocking tight ends.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_03]: like you like NFL teams can find blocking tight ends and it's like you know parents don't let your your kids grow up to be running backs don't know let them grow up to be in line blocking tight ends because even if not great or you're not fast you're not wonderful I catch in the football you're probably going to earn eight ten million in the NFL part year just being an inline blocking tight ends so
- 25:31[SPEAKER_03]: You know, not to say that like it's easier or replaceable to find the top shelf guys, but can you find a guy that can play that type of role, at least that a league average level for you versus, you know, what you're asking fan and to do, being a mismatch piece or being an integral cog in your passing attack, much harder to find that.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: So are you have any other, I guess, any last thoughts?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: I know Justin had a couple of fantasies specific questions, just a bounce off your real
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: thoughts on the Browns overall, things at Browns fans, I don't know, a message to the fan base about what we should expect or hope for with this team this year.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think you should be incredibly hopeful for the direction of this franchise, even entering this year.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: I've already bet the over for their win-total, now it's very modest to like six and a half right now in the betting markets, but I think that if everything goes yachts you for this team, whether it's schedule, it should do or it can be that guy, if their defense can
- 26:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, rollback like being as good as they were last year, and much of let's take a step forward, like a Mason Grams, health holds up.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_03]: If the rest of this roster kind of comes together on both sides of the ball, did if we're sitting in a spot for Cleveland, where all of these things chill, like the offensive line.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: And again, like we haven't been talked about it here, but like, you know,
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: you bring in Zion Johnson, Elgin Jenkins, is he going to be your starting center as he can move over to guard because they also did a draft Parker Brailsford.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: And shout out, we didn't even mention his name here, but like, you know, um, I'm like, oh, awesome barber, also in the draft, like adding to the depth of the offensive line on in the interior and stuff and giving themselves other outs.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think this offensive line is it going to be perfect in week one, no, because so much about offensive line play is about continuity, cohesion, reps, learning how to play as a freaking unit.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: It's one of those things.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's not so much the, um,
- 27:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to phrase this.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's not so much stars and scrubs.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's not about like having just all pro athletes and stuff across your your offensive line.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's about continuity and playing as a unit.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: If one guy screws up two guy screw up, you can't overcome that consistently, isn't all like for an offensive line where you're going to have holes or plays blown up and what have you.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is all if it's a line can jail and be at least a league average unit by the time we get to say week seven week eight guys I I don't want to you know just play the role of the eternal optimist here but like
- 28:12[SPEAKER_03]: If you're going to tell me the Cleveland Browns going into the final few weeks of the season, say we're sitting at week 12 and the Browns are in the hunt for a wild card spot or they're at least like in that conversation to maybe finish their year with 9 or 10 wins.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to be that shocked, man.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm really not.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: So what we like to hear, man, winning helps a lot and exciting.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's exciting.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Winning cures a lot of things in the store.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the winner.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's the other part of that we didn't discuss earlier.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: If Shidorah goes out and they win games, things can change pretty quick about narratives.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_03]: If he comes out and he's playing good and say this team starts off hot out the gate.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: And we're like, oh, the Browns are four and two.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_03]: Shidorah looks good.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's funny how a lot of the narratives and stuff can change pretty quickly.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: Do I think this should doorplayed perfect last year?
- 29:14[SPEAKER_03]: Hell no, he may know a lot of things.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not telling you this.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: He was unprepared, rookie, and he had to tick the worst offense.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: I probably ever had to watch around him.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: It was pathetic.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: But people don't always take all that into consideration.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_02]: They just look at the numbers and say, oh, he wasn't great.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: So let's see what he can do.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think the last time I checked, rookies tend to improve from your one-to-year-to-year-to.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, most times, a lot of times, and just real quick, like kind of walk in the brown schedule, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Carolina, okay, probably start 0 and 3, probably, and a lot of different instances.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_03]: But after that, they get Pittsburgh, they get the Jets, the Ravens, the Titans, the Steelers, and the Saints.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's a lot of winnable games, guys.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_03]: Like we could be walking into Week 10 and they're playing the Houston Texans and we're like, holy crap.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: Browns got like five wins.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: They're five and four.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: Where the hell did they come from?
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: Browns are very often in our fandom that somebody lists off a stretch of games where it's Steelers and Ravens and say, there's winnable games in there.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: We like that.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: They need to look at the Steelers quarterbacks to watch what that looks like this year.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're a bigger and Rogers fan.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, love it so much.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: You got to hear our tattoo right here before.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm maybe loving the tattoo, but she's great.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_03]: I just, you know, I got a blackout tattoo because I wanted to be just like Aaron when he's sitting in the cave.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yep, yep.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: No, we're very happy that Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers because the last time I played him, he was absolutely terrified of Miles Garrett, sacking him.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: And decided, hey, we're not gonna wrap up the, you know, lock up the play off today.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: We're gonna avoid Miles Garrett.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_03]: Oh Aaron, I would love to say that I can't wait until your retirees, but I don't feel like he's going to shut up in retirement.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like he's just going to take some media job and be everywhere and then I'm just going to hate it even more.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to be micro dosing on Tuesdays with macrophies.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it's going to be, man.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, bro.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: I got one last thing for you, man.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I know this is your bag, okay?
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: So we're doing getting some rookie drafts going.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Some dynasty stuff going.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, there's the big names out there.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the loves, the tates, you know, Tyson's.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: name us one one or two guys you know that people the average fantasy guys not knowing really that's gonna maybe potentially break out whether it's for dynasty or for redraft.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I like.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_03]: So the deep pull here would be Jalen Nailer for the Raiders.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: You look at the depth chart and a lot of the deeper metrics for Nailer are very, very encouraging.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to play a very, where she needs to eat, ask roll for the Raiders.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: And there is nothing on that depth chart outside of Brock Bauer's and Ashton, Jensie's first pass catching help, play.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: Tray Tucker ain't it, Jack Bish, fell on his face in his rookie season, like I hope he rebounds, but we shall see.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_03]: As far as the workies go, the guy that I keep bringing up on multiple places that I think is going to be a starter from day one, when we come out of training camp for the Miami dolphins, like people are talking about Caleb Douglas, Jim and Tolberr, Malik Washington, Chris Bell, what is he going to give you?
- 32:42[SPEAKER_03]: Bro, I really like Kevin Coleman, Jr.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: I just,
- 32:47[SPEAKER_03]: He he he offers a different skill set at now he is a slot confined player.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that he's going to be somebody that you're asking to play on the perimeter more than like 30 maybe 40% of snaps if like.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_03]: they can get them some scheme looks or they're playing some zone heavy teams and it's like you can play them on the outside if you're playing off coverage and things like that.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: But like Kevin Coleman Jr., I think this archetype of player is one that the NFL doesn't really throw a lot of respect on as far as in the NFL draft.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: But you look at his deeper metrics like over 2.2 yards per route run and each of his final two seasons in college, as well as top 20 in this tackle's forced, he plays again something that I love for wider severs that are, you know, that's a average size wise or maybe undersize do you play bigger than your size and your dog at the catch point.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_03]: I got mad respect for it because when you're
- 33:45[SPEAKER_03]: When your play strength out kicks your size or what people would think about you, it says something and a lot of times that translates and stuff, you know, like a lot of the collegiate production, it's like, is this gonna translate?
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: Is it not tackle breakometrics translate?
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: Play strength, a lot of other things can translate.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_03]: So Kevin Coleman Jr. is a deeper poll.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'll go with one or the guy we already mentioned Oscar Delbs.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_03]: I won't wax poetic about him.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: Although I freaking love Oscar Delp.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to be a baller.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think that he can help the fact that the Georgia quarterback play wasn't good and they didn't throw him the damn ball.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: Can't do anything about that.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'll go in another deep poll here and unfortunately I'm going to go into vision with this one.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew Hibner is another athletic move tied in.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't have been shocked if the Browns loved Oscar Delp and they would have drafted Matthew Hibner.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think I put out a tweet going into the NFL draft.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a lot of teams if they loved Delp, they're gonna love Hibner.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_03]: cut from the same cloth and a lot of different aspects as far as like his profile.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: Hibner is, I mean, he's a move tied in.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_03]: The guy has like legit freaking speed.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pulling up like four, five, seven, 40 yard dash speeds, 70 second percentile shuttle walked away for the testing with a 9.2 relative athletic score.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_03]: as well as like his yards per route run wasn't amazing coming out of SMU but he was 27th and fourth in the act per reception and when you talk about it's not only size and speed but can he stretch the scene can he be a deep threat is there another layer to his game that we could see uncovered at the NFL he's got a lot of parts and pieces to be if it all comes together
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: You're you're looking at Matthew hybner could be the legit air apparent two mark Andrews for the Baltimore havens Sorry hey that Sorry to say it I mean it's okay We're talent talent baby.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_03]: I gave joy a lawyer some love.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_03]: I already did that early.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is this is the business.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're in it is okay.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's all good
- 35:56[SPEAKER_03]: And it's not only not my fault, you asked the question.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's why it's on me, it's on me, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just a knife, we followed your work for a long time.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: We really appreciate what you do or what you do.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: You do great work.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: So let everybody know who doesn't know you are following.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: Where can they find you?
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Where can they follow you and read your stuff?
- 36:29[SPEAKER_03]: All my work is that fantasy pros and bending pros, all of my, my prospect right up so still live on the site, I've got over a hundred skill players live on the site full right ups, all 22 breakdowns, what have you quarterback running back quite or super tight in, all my fantasy content, obviously you can find that at fantasy pros as well as all my in-season weekly stuff, I write a weekly article that's fantasy and also
- 36:56[SPEAKER_03]: just the way that I approach fantasy release, I try to approach fantasy is, I look at this more of, um, and people like try to shade fantasy people and they're like, oh, look at the fantasy guys.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand where the disconnect is with people in the sense of, okay, if you're good at diagnosing players and looking at numbers in the film and what have you, and you're good at finding fantasy players that break out or they're good in fantasy, we all do understand that
- 37:28[SPEAKER_03]: fantasy production is a mirror and a reflection of real NFL production.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_03]: So if you're good and fantasy, I don't know, you're good in the NFL too.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_03]: We're not crazy to say, but this is all to say that, yes, my right up, I have a weekly article that goes game by game in season and fantasy pros that's live comes at every Thursday morning.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's
- 37:52[SPEAKER_03]: Between 12 to 15,000 words going through a hundred or hundred fifty plus players weekly.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I truly appreciate the time guys.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_03]: You can find me on all the socials, a deeper, underscore FFB.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_03]: Just look for the goofy family guy, Abby, because I keep the cartoon Abby, because as this all gets older and uglier, the cartoon says the same.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, I'll lean on that, but I truly appreciate the time.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_03]: This was an absolute freaking blast guys.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a wrap on the conversation.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: We want to thank Derek Brown once again, shout out to him for coming on, given us so much of his time to talk about the Cleveland Browns from his perspective and to get his analysis breakdown on the quarterbacks on the wider severs, just everything involving this team and what Browns fans should be excited for.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: heading into the 2026 season.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, it is not all doom and gloom.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's a lot of focus, and we focus a lot on the quarterback situation too.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: It is the most important position in sports.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: That's why the first part of this conference in this two-part conversation with Derek Brown was heavily focused on the quarterback position because it matters that much.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: It really, really does.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: You can have this fantastic awesome roster.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: And you're not going to take that roster to the depths that it should be taken to.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't have a quarter back to drive the freaking bus, man.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: But I think we've got a coaching staff in here that can maximize the potential of these players.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really, I'm loving what I'm hearing from Todd Munkin coming out of OTA.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: Just the way he talks, the way he approaches the game.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: I love the quote from Zion.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: Johnson will dive into that here probably over the weekend.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: When we focus more on OTA specific,
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: news and notes and things like that, but man, what a great time for Browns fans right now.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: I know it might not feel like it completely guys.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: But listening to Derek break it down from this outside the box perspective, like he's not in, he's not deep into Browns football, specifically and exclusively every day like we are.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, he's he's looking at it.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: from a 32 team perspective.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's how he operates.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just awesome to hear what he had to say.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: So again, thank you, Derek.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody go follow him.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: Everywhere follow his work.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: Give him some important love.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: He is a great guy and just man, the knowledge this dude has.
