- 0:00Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for February 26,
- 0:052026. Your two-minute call from God's
- 0:08playbook to know him better so we can
- 0:11love and obey him more. So, let's huddle
- 0:13up and hear today's play from Galatians
- 0:152 says, "We are Jews by birth, not
- 0:18so-called Galat uh Gentile sinners. Even
- 0:22so, we have come to realize that a
- 0:24person is not declared righteous by God
- 0:26on the ground of his legalistic
- 0:29exervance of Torah commands, but through
- 0:31the Messiah, Yeshua's trusting
- 0:34faithfulness. Therefore, we too have put
- 0:36our trust in Messiah Yeshua and become
- 0:39faithful to him in order that we might
- 0:41be declared righteous on the ground of
- 0:43the Messiah's trusting faithfulness and
- 0:46not on the ground of our legalistic
- 0:48observance of Torah commands. For on the
- 0:51ground of legalistic observance of Torah
- 0:53commands, no one will be declared
- 0:55righteous. I do not reject God's
- 0:58gracious gift. For if the way in which
- 1:01one attains righteousness is through
- 1:03legalism, then the Messiah's death was
- 1:06pointless. Paul was born a Jew. He had
- 1:10lineage, training, righteous
- 1:12credentials. If anyone could be right
- 1:14with God through heritage or
- 1:15performance, it was him. And he says he
- 1:18even we realized that righteousness
- 1:21doesn't come that way. Here's the danger
- 1:24for us. Many men think they're right
- 1:26with God because of something in their
- 1:28past. I was baptized. I grew up in
- 1:30church. My family's Christian. I'm a
- 1:33good guy. But Paul says, "If
- 1:35righteousness could come through
- 1:36religious effort, then Jesus died for
- 1:38nothing." Think about that. Why the
- 1:41cross if morality was enough? Why the
- 1:44resurrection if ceremony could save? The
- 1:47cross proves something. We cannot
- 1:49justify ourselves. Men, we are wired to
- 1:52perform. We measure ourselves by
- 1:54provision, productivity, and reputation.
- 1:57And if we're not careful, we bring that
- 1:59same mindset into our relationship with
- 2:01God. We try to earn his approval. But
- 2:04the gospel says this, "Righteousness is
- 2:07received, not achieved." Jesus lived the
- 2:10life you failed to live. Jesus died to
- 2:13death you deserve to die. Jesus rose to
- 2:16secure your justification when you trust
- 2:19him. Truly trust him. His righteousness
- 2:21is credited to you. That changes
- 2:24everything. You stop striving for
- 2:26acceptance and you start living from
- 2:28repentance. You stop pretending and you
- 2:30start repenting. You leave your family
- 2:33not to prove yourself but because you
- 2:35belong to Christ. Here's today's play.
- 2:38Examine your confidence. Are you
- 2:40trusting in religion or in a risen
- 2:42savior? Preach this to yourself. My
- 2:45righteousness is in Christ alone.
- 2:47Because if righteousness came through
- 2:49legalism, the Messiah's death was
- 2:52pointless. But it didn't. So live like a
- 2:54man justified by grace. If this huddle
- 2:57helps you know God better so you can
- 2:59love and obey him more, share with a
- 3:01friend and write a comment that helps
- 3:03men other men find their way into the
- 3:05huddle.
