- 0:12Speaker 3: Scrub dub dub.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It's the last day of the year. It's the Lassie of.
- 0:17Speaker 3: The year, thirtieth of December today thirty there's one more
- 0:21Speaker 3: days of the year.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Version of the scrubbing song.
- 0:28Speaker 5: I you know, I thought about that, but I don't
- 0:29Speaker 5: know how to do it any.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Scrubbers.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yellow is the.
- 0:40Speaker 2: One yo, it is the ring.
- 0:44Speaker 5: What are the words of that song?
- 0:47Speaker 4: Forgotten?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Never brought to mind? Should all the quaintance be forgotten?
- 0:52Speaker 3: In days of all lang zion?
- 0:54Speaker 6: That one's too hard to do?
- 0:55Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Scrub scrub scrub, scrub, scrub.
- 1:05Speaker 6: Scrub scrub scrub scrub.
- 1:15Speaker 7: A moment that we're gonna ge Inger copyright for that.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's too similar, Yeah, really too close to the real.
- 1:25Speaker 6: Okay, don't rule these days.
- 1:28Speaker 2: What is everyone doing for New Year's Eve?
- 1:32Speaker 6: What are Let's start with you?
- 1:34Speaker 8: Well, so normally are like typically what we do is
- 1:38Speaker 8: we go somewhere for like a getaway, and we celebrate
- 1:40Speaker 8: out of town. But last year we did we stayed
- 1:45Speaker 8: here and it was really nice because we just made
- 1:47Speaker 8: vision boards all day and it was a very cozy
- 1:49Speaker 8: day at home and it felt like nice to not
- 1:52Speaker 8: be traveling or going anywhere. So I think we might
- 1:55Speaker 8: do that again this year and then do like a
- 1:57Speaker 8: trip later on. But that's the playing, just vision boards
- 2:01Speaker 8: and good food.
- 2:03Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:04Speaker 6: I love.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I love a goal to like be healthier starting in
- 2:08Speaker 2: the new year.
- 2:08Speaker 8: So I really got balls to the walls on.
- 2:12Speaker 6: Food to the walls baby.
- 2:14Speaker 2: On the day before the New year.
- 2:18Speaker 5: So I'm actually starting a like, oh, You're gonna be
- 2:22Speaker 5: healthy this year.
- 2:24Speaker 6: No, I'm healthy every year.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I know that was my joke.
- 2:27Speaker 5: But I'm starting, like, I don't know what to call it,
- 2:30Speaker 5: like a community accountability.
- 2:36Speaker 6: Activity.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I just name it.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Sounds good, community accountability activity. It's pretty good, honestly, off No, yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 5: any sounds very Basically, every day for the month of January,
- 2:53Speaker 5: I'm going to move my body every single day, okay,
- 2:57Speaker 5: seven days a week. So that does not mean I'm
- 2:59Speaker 5: going to be going balls to the walls doing like
- 3:01Speaker 5: berries every day. Some days I want to walk, it's
- 3:04Speaker 5: gonna just be me walking. But every single day for
- 3:07Speaker 5: the month of January, I'm gonna move my body and
- 3:09Speaker 5: i want like everybody to join in and like send
- 3:12Speaker 5: me pictures and I'm gonna send prizes to people that
- 3:14Speaker 5: are doing it like that I see that are doing
- 3:16Speaker 5: it a lot.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Wow. Nice A community.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Yes, a community activity.
- 3:26Speaker 6: I have to write that down right now.
- 3:29Speaker 4: January it's like, uh, spry January.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Yes exactly, because it's not realistic for me to do
- 3:34Speaker 5: dry January.
- 3:35Speaker 6: I just know it. It's just not.
- 3:37Speaker 5: So this is gonna be my community accountability activity.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yes, I think it's fun.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I'm gonna give out prizes to people that I see
- 3:44Speaker 5: that are posting and like tagging me and like keeping
- 3:47Speaker 5: themselves accountable.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I think it's gonna be fun.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It's fun. Yeah, So it's a fun way to start
- 3:52Speaker 2: good habits. Yes, you know.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And might not do it with each other. You know
- 3:57Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 3:58Speaker 6: If we're not doing it with each other, what are
- 3:59Speaker 6: we doing? Four David? Yeah, that's right.
- 4:05Speaker 4: She's in her ships creek.
- 4:07Speaker 8: Yeah, I am, So what are you doing on New
- 4:10Speaker 8: Year's Eve?
- 4:12Speaker 6: Well that is tomorrow, yes, tomorrow really?
- 4:18Speaker 5: Yeah, might be right here in Los Angeles, great old
- 4:22Speaker 5: city of La California, City of Angels, the City of Angels,
- 4:27Speaker 5: or I might be in the city of the Big Apple.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Wow.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Oh no, that's a big like n y E and
- 4:36Speaker 2: E in n y C.
- 4:37Speaker 6: Yes, big deal.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Are you going? Would you? If that comes to pass?
- 4:41Speaker 4: Will you be at the ball drop?
- 4:42Speaker 6: I will not?
- 4:43Speaker 3: I see, yes, you've done that before. I have.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I did one year I went to where the ball
- 4:47Speaker 5: to times Square. I would no, No, I would not be
- 4:50Speaker 5: doing that.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You'd just be going with friends, correct and Robbie.
- 4:53Speaker 6: Correct.
- 4:54Speaker 5: But yeah, so those are two very different, very different,
- 4:59Speaker 5: very very fun, really fun. Yeah. Wherever we decide to be,
- 5:03Speaker 5: it's gonna be.
- 5:05Speaker 6: Wonderful.
- 5:07Speaker 2: It's the most wonderful time.
- 5:14Speaker 5: But you know, I usually I do my vision board,
- 5:16Speaker 5: but I do it the first week of January, so
- 5:19Speaker 5: I'll definitely be doing that within the coming days. I
- 5:22Speaker 5: have my Word of the Year, which I'm very excited about.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:25Speaker 6: It's so good. Thank you Mark for the assistance.
- 5:28Speaker 4: I don't need that, but you're nice to say so,
- 5:30Speaker 4: but thank you.
- 5:30Speaker 6: Thank you. Woman in full Yeah, wife is the wife
- 5:37Speaker 6: ye come up with. It's pretty epic.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I got a text just the other day from my daughter.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Used to go to school with a guy, and so
- 5:48Speaker 3: we knew his parents and we haven't spoken to him
- 5:50Speaker 3: in a long time because they're off at separate colleges together,
- 5:53Speaker 3: so we don't really see her anymore.
- 5:54Speaker 4: But I just thought Little just said w I f
- 5:57Speaker 4: E Bravo.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Wow me a second, Like, what is she saying?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Oh?
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeahs to the podcast. Yeah, yeah, look at you.
- 6:05Speaker 6: W I f E.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Is it's like a spin on the word wife, And
- 6:08Speaker 5: I'm like obsessed with it.
- 6:11Speaker 8: Yeah, because it's almost it's almost taking the tradition of
- 6:16Speaker 8: what wife is and make me get it an independent
- 6:21Speaker 8: modern woman take.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like so epic. I'm so excited about it.
- 6:26Speaker 5: I haven't been this excited about a word in like
- 6:28Speaker 5: a minute.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Try pretty good.
- 6:30Speaker 5: It's like a pretty good trajectory.
- 6:33Speaker 6: So I don't know how next yours pressure is on?
- 6:40Speaker 4: And what does it stand for?
- 6:42Speaker 5: What could it stand for?
- 6:47Speaker 3: Mother?
- 6:48Speaker 5: Okay, moment, magic, my oven.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Making?
- 7:00Speaker 1: We have a year to work, shop, mommy, get youth, mommy, Mama, mama, mommy.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Modern offspring machine.
- 7:18Speaker 2: That's not bad, honestly, that we're getting ahead of ourselves.
- 7:25Speaker 6: Let us not speed through twenty twenty five.
- 7:28Speaker 2: No, we got to get to the wife wife era.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Yes, So that's what that's a little bit about my
- 7:34Speaker 5: plans for the.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Sounds great, sounds exciting.
- 7:36Speaker 3: So we're also breaking with tradition this year. We are
- 7:39Speaker 3: always at my brother in law's.
- 7:40Speaker 4: On New Year's Eve.
- 7:41Speaker 3: We play games, we watch Ryan count it Down, the
- 7:44Speaker 3: whole deal. But this year the kids said to us mom, dad,
- 7:48Speaker 3: we have lives now, we have friends. I am off
- 7:53Speaker 3: at college. I would like to see my friends on
- 7:55Speaker 3: New Year's Eve. We would like to be home for
- 7:57Speaker 3: New Year's Eve to be with our friends. So we
- 8:00Speaker 3: changed our flights, which cost a fortune. Yeah, and we
- 8:03Speaker 3: are coming back. We're flying back tomorrow New Year's Eve day.
- 8:07Speaker 6: Smart, thank you.
- 8:08Speaker 3: And then you would think, but no, it didn't really
- 8:11Speaker 3: save us much money. Hopefully there's less people in the
- 8:13Speaker 3: area anyway.
- 8:16Speaker 4: So that's tomorrow night.
- 8:16Speaker 3: So tomorrow night we're going to be a bunch of
- 8:19Speaker 3: the dance parents are getting together for a party. Wow,
- 8:22Speaker 3: but we'll find out. We hear it's fun. Like every
- 8:26Speaker 3: you're like, oh my gosh, you should have been there.
- 8:27Speaker 3: It was the best time.
- 8:28Speaker 4: So okay, we'll give it a shot this year.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Oh, this is the thing they do every day every year.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Start we're never there. Yeah, it goes.
- 8:35Speaker 2: This feels like a new tradition. I think it may
- 8:37Speaker 2: be whether you liked it or not.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Yeah, well we'll find out.
- 8:43Speaker 7: We're going to a party our friends having a black
- 8:45Speaker 7: Swan white Swan thing, and yeah, we have to dress
- 8:50Speaker 7: up as swans. Alison got a bag that's really cute
- 8:53Speaker 7: and dressed and I don't know what I'm gonna do yet.
- 8:55Speaker 7: I forget it, but yeah, we're gonna do that and
- 8:57Speaker 7: then probably watch Ryan on tape delay.
- 8:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Later, we were gonna when we were gonna be in
- 9:01Speaker 5: La we were gonna have people over and do like
- 9:02Speaker 5: a pajama party, but do like gamesame night still could fill. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 5: well no tomorrow, that's right, it's all in play.
- 9:16Speaker 8: What would you say was your biggest accomplishment of the year.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I mean, that's for us.
- 9:25Speaker 3: It was it was getting my oldest daughter off to college.
- 9:27Speaker 3: I mean, graduating high school, big deal, off to college,
- 9:31Speaker 3: big deal. And honestly, I found out Amy was pregnant
- 9:34Speaker 3: in August of two thousand and five, and so I
- 9:37Speaker 3: immediately did the math and knew immediately that you would
- 9:39Speaker 3: be the class of twenty twenty four. So the fact
- 9:41Speaker 3: that here we are, I've been waiting for this year
- 9:43Speaker 3: for a long, long time. So that was that was
- 9:45Speaker 3: the biggest that overshattered everything else in twenty twenty four.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yeah, y'all did it. You did it?
- 9:51Speaker 3: Did it by you?
- 9:53Speaker 2: I would say.
- 9:56Speaker 8: My biggest accomplishment, I would say maybe the time of
- 10:01Speaker 8: while Haley was gone working in Canada and us navigating
- 10:04Speaker 8: that and getting through that, and I feel like our
- 10:06Speaker 8: relationships like better than ever right now. So I felt
- 10:09Speaker 8: like that made us very oh and moving in together
- 10:12Speaker 8: and it being such a such a fun Like I
- 10:16Speaker 8: was not that I was nervous because we basically lived together,
- 10:18Speaker 8: just had two different places, but it was just so fun.
- 10:21Speaker 8: And it's just I felt feel like our relationship is
- 10:24Speaker 8: even better than ever living together, which I know could
- 10:28Speaker 8: could have gone in a different direction.
- 10:30Speaker 6: I think it was a different direction if you move
- 10:32Speaker 6: in too fast.
- 10:32Speaker 5: I feel like at that, you know what I mean,
- 10:34Speaker 5: Like you guys, yeah, and you know how each other
- 10:36Speaker 5: lives right.
- 10:37Speaker 8: Like warning me and they're like, it's different, you know
- 10:40Speaker 8: when you move in.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But I'm like, we literally lived together. We just have
- 10:43Speaker 2: double of everything.
- 10:44Speaker 6: I think about that too.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I'm like the thing about mar and I us didn't
- 10:48Speaker 5: have to be a marriage, about being in a long
- 10:50Speaker 5: term committed relationship is like feeling like it's a sleepover
- 10:52Speaker 5: every night, you know what I mean, Like I love sleepovers.
- 10:55Speaker 6: I that was like the like I.
- 10:58Speaker 5: The only thing I did not like about my single
- 11:00Speaker 5: season was sleeping alone every night. I love that.
- 11:03Speaker 6: It's like a sleepover every night, you know. And I
- 11:06Speaker 6: like look at him and I'm like, I want to.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Go to sleep because I'm so obsessed with you.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Haley does not do It's so fun.
- 11:13Speaker 6: He's like, I'm tired.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Turn around and You're like, I didn't want to close
- 11:21Speaker 5: my eyes.
- 11:23Speaker 7: I don't want to fall asleep because I'm missing you.
- 11:27Speaker 7: And I don't want to miss.
- 11:29Speaker 1: A thing because temn war a dream again, the the soonest.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Dream will never do.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I still miss you, man, and.
- 11:39Speaker 6: I don't want to miss a thing. It's true.
- 11:44Speaker 5: I've never felt the lyrics before I film.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Now, what's your biggest accomplishment?
- 11:51Speaker 6: I feel like mine was Miami swim Week.
- 11:56Speaker 2: That was a good one.
- 11:56Speaker 6: It was just like so out.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Of my comfort zone and it was like an immediate
- 12:00Speaker 5: no when it came to me, I was like, no,
- 12:01Speaker 5: I don't want to do that.
- 12:03Speaker 6: And then the fact that.
- 12:04Speaker 5: I thought about it and really took the time to
- 12:07Speaker 5: just like put myself, push myself out of my comfort
- 12:09Speaker 5: zone to even do the audition, which was like so
- 12:11Speaker 5: weird to film yourself strutting down a runway in your
- 12:15Speaker 5: bikini and like dropbock.
- 12:17Speaker 6: That to people was very vulnerable, like doing it in
- 12:21Speaker 6: my driveway, you know what I mean.
- 12:22Speaker 5: It was so weird, but it was like very cool.
- 12:24Speaker 5: And then the actual experience itself.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Was very People.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Will bring it up, but thank you.
- 12:31Speaker 6: That's that is that is true.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Let me just do who were just telling that story
- 12:36Speaker 3: to the other day.
- 12:37Speaker 7: We were we were spinning a yarn at No Boo
- 12:39Speaker 7: the other day. Oh, talking about gas.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And how I hurt media still forbids the use of
- 12:46Speaker 3: drop box because of the time, you're rat She plugged
- 12:52Speaker 3: in her phone to her laptop and it started uploading
- 12:55Speaker 3: all of her photos from her phone onto every computer
- 12:58Speaker 3: in all of my heart lost the angelus, which caused
- 13:01Speaker 3: the Wi Fi to drop to low speeds for the
- 13:04Speaker 3: entire building and tell somebody had to run around figure
- 13:08Speaker 3: out what is happening. I mean, well, every single computer
- 13:10Speaker 3: building something pictures getting pictures of Tanya, some of which
- 13:13Speaker 3: are completely inappropriate, would have never come our engineer figured
- 13:17Speaker 3: it out and got rid of it.
- 13:19Speaker 4: But then we got to Medbo saying no more drop
- 13:21Speaker 4: Box ever, ever.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Ever, people could just like have taken screenshots or yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 6: Whenever they were good photos.
- 13:29Speaker 5: So I imagine it very very tasteful, very perky. But
- 13:36Speaker 5: I feel like that whole experience and like it made
- 13:38Speaker 5: me feel. It gave me a sense of like there's
- 13:42Speaker 5: so much out there to do. Yes, why would I
- 13:45Speaker 5: pigeonhole myself into just feeling like I can't do it all?
- 13:48Speaker 5: You know, like next more, I want to do Victoria's
- 13:50Speaker 5: Secret Fashion Show.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Your word was try and you tried. I tried and
- 13:54Speaker 2: you did.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Yeah, and now I have more modeling roles modeling asper Yes.
- 14:01Speaker 3: I do?
- 14:01Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, why not?
- 14:03Speaker 2: Why not?
- 14:04Speaker 3: You did not get engaged in twenty twenty four. I
- 14:06Speaker 3: was going to say you're engagement, but that was not three.
- 14:08Speaker 2: See, I did the same thing.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's a good one. Miami swimming is a
- 14:12Speaker 3: very good choice.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 7: I just feel weird when it's like a work thing.
- 14:18Speaker 7: But I think the thing I'm most proud of anyway
- 14:21Speaker 7: is we started a podcast this year with California Governor
- 14:25Speaker 7: Gavin Newsom, and that there's a lot of things that
- 14:29Speaker 7: I get asked to do that I don't know how
- 14:31Speaker 7: to do and I want to say no, I can't
- 14:33Speaker 7: do that, but I didn't have that. I didn't want
- 14:36Speaker 7: to do that. And uh, there's a lot of challenges
- 14:38Speaker 7: that came with that show, and I'm we did them all.
- 14:41Speaker 7: And uh, I was really proud of everything we did
- 14:44Speaker 7: with the show Politick, in which you can hear on
- 14:46Speaker 7: iHeart Radio.
- 14:47Speaker 3: But also you've gotten to go to the Governor's mansion,
- 14:49Speaker 3: the Capitol and Sacramento.
- 14:51Speaker 7: Yeah, lot of stuff technically that was difficult, Like we
- 14:54Speaker 7: went to Sant Quentin Prison in northern California, lost stuff
- 14:57Speaker 7: at the Governor's mansion. Wasn't with Gavin, but I went
- 15:01Speaker 7: to the White House for another podcast, and it just
- 15:03Speaker 7: that those challenges would normally make me very afraid, but
- 15:05Speaker 7: I did not meet them with fear. I met them
- 15:07Speaker 7: with ambition and drive, and it was just I was
- 15:10Speaker 7: proud of how I solved all those problems.
- 15:12Speaker 2: We're proud of you. Thank you so much that you're
- 15:14Speaker 2: a part of this podcast.
- 15:15Speaker 7: This podcast is my favorite one. This is one I'm
- 15:18Speaker 7: most proud of. Though describing here.
- 15:21Speaker 5: First, if there's anything that you want to leave behind
- 15:23Speaker 5: in twenty twenty four.
- 15:24Speaker 6: What is that?
- 15:26Speaker 2: I'll tell you when we come back.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Oh my god, wow, all right, we're back.
- 15:48Speaker 8: One thing that I would leave in the past from
- 15:50Speaker 8: this year, hmm. You know this isn't just this past year,
- 15:56Speaker 8: but in general. Something I'd like to leave in the
- 15:57Speaker 8: past is kind of what you were talking about, like
- 15:59Speaker 8: not trying things. Because what we're talking about like not
- 16:01Speaker 8: trying things because of fear. And I don't know where
- 16:04Speaker 8: that comes from in our head, that it is better
- 16:06Speaker 8: not to try rather than better to try and fail.
- 16:10Speaker 8: I don't know why our brains do it like that,
- 16:13Speaker 8: instead of being like, let me try something and if
- 16:15Speaker 8: it doesn't work out, I'll pivot, as opposed to being
- 16:17Speaker 8: like I'm not going to do it because I'm.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Too scared if I fail.
- 16:19Speaker 8: So I would like to leave just that mindset in
- 16:21Speaker 8: the background and be like more ambitious and trying things
- 16:27Speaker 8: that are scary and not being like embarrassed if I fail,
- 16:30Speaker 8: but just being like all right, like being proud that
- 16:32Speaker 8: I tried, rather than embarrassed that I failed. You know.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I would leave.
- 16:40Speaker 7: Yeah, try to be that one.
- 16:43Speaker 9: We can move on to the next, No, I think
- 16:51Speaker 9: I think that I put so much pressure on myself
- 16:57Speaker 9: and what other people think or like other people's feeling.
- 17:00Speaker 5: So I know that that's like a good quality to have,
- 17:02Speaker 5: but also it's like a lot of my own detriment
- 17:05Speaker 5: and I hate that for me. Mm hmmm, So I'd
- 17:08Speaker 5: like to leave that behind. So like people pleasing, it's
- 17:10Speaker 5: not quite people pleasing, but yes, because it's not it's
- 17:15Speaker 5: not quiet, like I'm not talking the umbrella.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Yeah, sure, it's the umbrella.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, So.
- 17:20Speaker 8: Not doing things like not doing things specifically caring about
- 17:26Speaker 8: other people's feelings.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Or and when you say, like that is so bad
- 17:29Speaker 5: what you're.
- 17:29Speaker 8: Saying, because we're this is what we were talking about.
- 17:32Speaker 8: There is a culture where it's like we live in
- 17:36Speaker 8: a very selfish culture that's like really tells us focus
- 17:40Speaker 8: on yourself set boundaries kind of almost like only think
- 17:42Speaker 8: about yourself. But I think the mindset should be care
- 17:46Speaker 8: for others and be there forevers but make sure your
- 17:48Speaker 8: cup is filled so that you can give to others,
- 17:51Speaker 8: as opposed to draining yourself trying to be everything for
- 17:55Speaker 8: everyone and not taking the time to like fill up
- 17:57Speaker 8: your cup, you know.
- 17:58Speaker 2: So there is that balance, but I don't or.
- 18:01Speaker 8: It's hard to balance it in a society that's telling
- 18:03Speaker 8: you like me, me me, and don't people please.
- 18:07Speaker 2: But there is something there's beauty in being I.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Feel our generation was the opposite. We weren't me, me me, But.
- 18:14Speaker 8: Now this, this what we're in right now, I think
- 18:18Speaker 8: focuses a lot on that. So it was like fine
- 18:20Speaker 8: navigating that balance because there's so much beauty in giving
- 18:22Speaker 8: to people, but not if you're draining your you know,
- 18:26Speaker 8: if you don't have the capacity to do it.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Yeah, because I think like there was a lot of challenge,
- 18:30Speaker 5: Like obviously I went from being super single and only
- 18:34Speaker 5: taking care of myself to like a serious relationship with
- 18:37Speaker 5: two kids and a dog, you know. So it's like
- 18:39Speaker 5: a lot of my time, Like there's only so much
- 18:41Speaker 5: time I have and I'm still trying to do everything
- 18:43Speaker 5: that I did five years ago for people, and it's
- 18:45Speaker 5: like I'm literally like stretching myself like Gumby over here.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I only even behind negativity, and mostly in
- 18:55Speaker 3: the form of social media and comments. I'm trying to
- 18:58Speaker 3: cut back on social media because as the negativity can
- 19:01Speaker 3: be overwhelming, I feel like.
- 19:02Speaker 6: You don't partake in social media.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I don't really, but I read it. I look at it.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I don't do post and stuff like that.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Now.
- 19:08Speaker 3: I don't really post anything ever, but I look at
- 19:11Speaker 3: it a lot. Oh really yeah, and a lot of
- 19:13Speaker 3: the like I'll follow fan accounts of things I love,
- 19:15Speaker 3: like my sports teams, and then all the posts are
- 19:18Speaker 3: how much our team sucks. And then I'll like, I'll
- 19:20Speaker 3: follow like I love Saturn Night Live my whole life,
- 19:22Speaker 3: I love Centerate Life. I'll watch those accounts and every
- 19:24Speaker 3: every week that Joe sucked, and I don't want that anymore.
- 19:27Speaker 3: I don't want that in my life. I'll get me
- 19:28Speaker 3: more selective about who I follow because I don't want
- 19:30Speaker 3: any more negativity.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I want to move on from that and enjoy the
- 19:33Speaker 4: things I enjoy.
- 19:35Speaker 8: That you make such a good point, because every time
- 19:37Speaker 8: I go to like a sports teams or like even
- 19:40Speaker 8: the MLB account, like, I'll see a post that randomly
- 19:42Speaker 8: pops up and the comments are so negative. It'll be
- 19:46Speaker 8: like someone wearing like Pride jerseys and those are the work.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I'm like, I can't believe people still exist, Like it's crazy.
- 19:52Speaker 8: I live in such a bubble that like these comments
- 19:55Speaker 8: exist and they're like, we'll.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Getting comments on my Instagram the one that went viral
- 19:59Speaker 5: about how ugly and insecure and oh yeah.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Standing on the end. How many is that up to,
- 20:07Speaker 3: by the way.
- 20:08Speaker 8: But.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Honestly, it's like, so it's still daily that I'm getting
- 20:13Speaker 5: like really mean, like really mean stuff.
- 20:16Speaker 6: I'm like, that's amazing.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Internet people say you shouldn't live in a bubble. I'm
- 20:21Speaker 3: good in my bubble. I'd like to live in my bubble.
- 20:23Speaker 8: Wait, I don't know, maybe you can find this, but
- 20:27Speaker 8: there was an art Haley was saying. There was an
- 20:28Speaker 8: article or she saw a video or something where these
- 20:30Speaker 8: people took their kids' phones away for like four weeks
- 20:34Speaker 8: or something, and just the difference. Had they talked to
- 20:37Speaker 8: their parents more, they were like so present they were, they.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Were able to communicate better.
- 20:42Speaker 8: And I was like, wow, I mean, we're all adults,
- 20:44Speaker 8: so we know when it's time to put our phone
- 20:47Speaker 8: down and step away or self fit social media. I
- 20:50Speaker 8: mean it's hard, but like we know when it's time
- 20:54Speaker 8: to do it, whereas these kids are like taking in everything,
- 20:57Speaker 8: but they don't have the tools and the frontal lobe
- 21:01Speaker 8: development to go. Oh, I need to stop looking at
- 21:04Speaker 8: this or step away. So it's just like ingrained.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yeah you know yeah, Tinya's radio has fifteen point four million.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Wow, the same big guys accomplishment of twenty four. The
- 21:19Speaker 5: comments are just like you're so ugly.
- 21:21Speaker 6: I hope they took a picture without you. You ruined
- 21:23Speaker 6: the You're so childish, You're so annoying. Get out you
- 21:27Speaker 6: ho you this you that.
- 21:28Speaker 2: I'm like, who are these people?
- 21:30Speaker 5: If I were any bit of like someone that had
- 21:34Speaker 5: any sort of instant like I really do not take
- 21:36Speaker 5: these comments to heart, I'd find humor in reading them. However,
- 21:40Speaker 5: if I were not myself, this could take me down.
- 21:43Speaker 8: Oh yeah, gosh, yeah.
- 21:45Speaker 3: There's the goal right right.
- 21:49Speaker 6: It's so crazy.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Robbie will like randomly like send me them, and he's
- 21:53Speaker 5: like these are It's like they're still coming, Like it's amazing,
- 21:56Speaker 5: it's embarrassing.
- 21:58Speaker 7: I don't know how you guys weird hand that kind
- 22:00Speaker 7: of like I was talking to Mark the other.
- 22:01Speaker 6: Day, I'm quite gorgeous, like yes, like.
- 22:07Speaker 7: I I interviewed Mario Lopez on a different podcast and
- 22:10Speaker 7: like someone wrote a comments in like.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Wait, but wait, we should mention Eastern hosts a podcast
- 22:14Speaker 3: now and you should all listen to it. It's called
- 22:16Speaker 3: I Smell Pop Culture in the eye, am all in feed.
- 22:19Speaker 7: It's for Gilmore Girls, if you guys are fans of Gilmore.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Girls, but its etern interviewing celebrities, and I find it
- 22:24Speaker 3: very enjoyable.
- 22:26Speaker 7: Thank you, Margaret Ray kind. Uh yeah, it's been a
- 22:28Speaker 7: lot of fun. We've interviewed a ginger from Gilligan's Island
- 22:32Speaker 7: and Mario Lopez and uh Julie Benz who was on
- 22:35Speaker 7: a Buffy the Rani Press. She was delightful, very delightful,
- 22:38Speaker 7: and everyone's been really nice. But the Mario Opez interviewed,
- 22:40Speaker 7: people are like, yeah, this one wasn't for me. And
- 22:42Speaker 7: I was like, I got so dark over that. I
- 22:44Speaker 7: was like, I was like whipping myself on the back
- 22:46Speaker 7: when you got to be better at this, So what's
- 22:48Speaker 7: wrong with you? Just because he didn't have a lot
- 22:52Speaker 7: of time with us, it was really short, so I
- 22:54Speaker 7: patted it by adding what I thought was extra content,
- 22:57Speaker 7: and people did not want that extra content. It was
- 22:59Speaker 7: me just talking about this Gilmore Girl's theory with sopranos.
- 23:02Speaker 7: It's a little in the weeds. I don't need to
- 23:04Speaker 7: get into it any at the risk of doing it again,
- 23:07Speaker 7: but yeah, it wasn't even mean, Like they didn't say
- 23:10Speaker 7: anything mean. They just said I didn't really enjoy this,
- 23:12Speaker 7: and I was like, I went so dark over it,
- 23:14Speaker 7: and I was like, this is the most this is
- 23:15Speaker 7: like kind compared to anything else any woman gets on
- 23:19Speaker 7: the internet, especially you.
- 23:21Speaker 8: Know, if I see anything negative, Like if I see
- 23:24Speaker 8: the only thing I'll see that's negative typically is something
- 23:26Speaker 8: in the Facebook group that's more like criticism, like I
- 23:30Speaker 8: would say constructive criticism, like I don't think we're scrubbers,
- 23:32Speaker 8: are ever like mean spirited, But I don't go I
- 23:37Speaker 8: used to seek it out, read stuff about myself when
- 23:39Speaker 8: I was on the Bachelor, and it was so mean,
- 23:42Speaker 8: and I was like, why am I doing?
- 23:45Speaker 2: Like I literally actively chose to click on this and
- 23:47Speaker 2: read it. Why am I doing this?
- 23:49Speaker 8: And never since then, if I see one mean thing,
- 23:52Speaker 8: I'm like, oh, I'm out not looking anymore. Like if
- 23:54Speaker 8: I go to my DMS and there's anything mean, I
- 23:56Speaker 8: just go, okay, I'm not looking at this today, which
- 23:58Speaker 8: is rare.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I don't get a lot of like me, so I don't.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Get a lot of means up either, but I get
- 24:02Speaker 5: a lot of opinions and I hit them right back.
- 24:06Speaker 3: How you do?
- 24:07Speaker 5: I mean, people really go up in arms over the
- 24:09Speaker 5: term stepparent. My god, I've noticed that.
- 24:12Speaker 7: Oh my, it's like you're a bonus mom.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Yes, yes, my bonus sounds so whack. I'm calling myself
- 24:18Speaker 5: a bonus mom and like to each their own, you
- 24:21Speaker 5: know what I mean. Oh, but honestly, I blame the
- 24:27Speaker 5: movies for that term being negative.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, well they yeah, they.
- 24:33Speaker 5: Really step parents to be these like horrendous witches.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Yeah, so thank you for that.
- 24:40Speaker 3: So the theory is, because I think it's hysterical, is
- 24:43Speaker 3: that there's an episode of The Sopranos.
- 24:45Speaker 7: This is not my theory. I did not come up
- 24:46Speaker 7: with this.
- 24:46Speaker 3: There's an episode of The Sopranos with the Gilmore Girls
- 24:48Speaker 3: are on TV. There's an episode of Gilmore Girls where
- 24:51Speaker 3: they refer to the Sopranos.
- 24:54Speaker 7: So so that means that at some point Tony Soprano
- 24:58Speaker 7: was watching Gilmore Girls and watch the characters reference him
- 25:01Speaker 7: like saying like nice coat, you look just like Tony
- 25:04Speaker 7: Soprano and going like, well that's me, you know, Like
- 25:06Speaker 7: that's that's the paradox here.
- 25:08Speaker 3: It's a paradox, or they can't exist in the same universe.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Why because they can't both be TV shows in the
- 25:14Speaker 3: same universe.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Or the other.
- 25:16Speaker 7: The other side of it is that the Gilmore girls
- 25:18Speaker 7: will watch Sopranos and then see themselves on TV at
- 25:21Speaker 7: some point like, oh my god, they're watching us.
- 25:23Speaker 3: It's going on paradox.
- 25:25Speaker 4: I don't know I have that stuff.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I'm talking.
- 25:30Speaker 7: I rambled about this for six minutes and negative comments
- 25:34Speaker 7: and everyone's like, I'm out, I can't handle this.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I don't think it was anything about you.
- 25:38Speaker 8: I think it is probably to understand like Tanya and
- 25:41Speaker 8: I right, Tony and me.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Yeah, you can be speaking a whole different language.
- 25:45Speaker 7: Really, if they're Maria Lopez fans out there, just skip
- 25:47Speaker 7: ahead six minutes. I promise. I talked to Mario Lopez.
- 25:50Speaker 7: We talk about Christmas.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Eastern own podcast about pop culture paradoxes.
- 25:54Speaker 4: It's gonna be really great.
- 25:55Speaker 3: It's gonna be great a pair of docs with chun
- 25:57Speaker 3: Berry and the Michael J. Fox movie that back in
- 26:01Speaker 3: the future, the chuck Berry paradox has lost the discussion.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we will definitely be guessed. I'm in with that.
- 26:08Speaker 6: I don't think I have anything to.
- 26:10Speaker 5: To that, so I will not partake but love you.
- 26:14Speaker 2: What was your favorite song of twenty twenty four?
- 26:16Speaker 6: Oh, you can't top.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Three, I'm going I like good Luck, Babe.
- 26:20Speaker 4: I think that was my favorite song of the year.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Wow.
- 26:24Speaker 5: I think Espresso Sabrina More Sabrina Martine, Sabrina Carpenter's definitely
- 26:31Speaker 5: up there. Okay, Taste Sabrina Carpenter was really good.
- 26:39Speaker 6: And I'm gonna go Greedy Tate McCray.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Wow, number one song on American Tap forty alert.
- 26:45Speaker 7: But you know, if you listen last weekend, h it's out.
- 26:48Speaker 7: Actually yeah, two weekends in a rows.
- 26:51Speaker 6: What about everybody else?
- 26:53Speaker 3: I said good Luck Babe, I.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Would go, I think you know what's a feather?
- 26:58Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 26:58Speaker 2: I was gonna say birds of a feather?
- 27:00Speaker 8: Or uh, I really love that so true by Gracy Abrams.
- 27:04Speaker 2: But yeah too, I haven't gotten tired of it yet.
- 27:08Speaker 8: Normally TikTok trends, I'm immediately like, Okay, I'm done with.
- 27:11Speaker 6: This tired of it either. Yeah, I'm with you on
- 27:13Speaker 6: that one, thank you. But that one feels so fresh.
- 27:16Speaker 8: It is, but it was in the year of twenty
- 27:19Speaker 8: ten four. You're correct, my birds of a feather? Yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 8: I love I love I.
- 27:23Speaker 7: Gotta good bar song Boozy. I love that song. I
- 27:27Speaker 7: never get tired of.
- 27:27Speaker 8: It to Tahoe me you and Robbie runs me that
- 27:32Speaker 8: I gotta throw a Taylor slipped one in there, right
- 27:34Speaker 8: because she really is.
- 27:35Speaker 2: But you know what, I might go with the black
- 27:39Speaker 2: Dog Wow, Wow, that bridge.
- 27:46Speaker 5: Powerful powerful. Yeah, so this might be a shocker.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Well wait a minute, why don't we take another break
- 27:52Speaker 3: because we've gone long enoughter we need another break now. No, well,
- 27:56Speaker 3: you come back with whatever you're teasing because that.
- 28:15Speaker 5: So I talked a lot of smack on this song originally.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Don't want a smack. I don't want to smack.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Talk about how it didn't cook.
- 28:25Speaker 3: It was whack, it was whash.
- 28:28Speaker 5: And now it's my I want to say it might
- 28:30Speaker 5: be my favorite song off the Torch of Poet's Department.
- 28:33Speaker 3: See that's the thing about that album. You sit with
- 28:35Speaker 3: it and songs pop yeah, pop up?
- 28:37Speaker 6: Can I guess you can?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Is it gonna be?
- 28:40Speaker 8: Is it in the first half of the second half,
- 28:42Speaker 8: first half and you sat with it?
- 28:45Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 28:47Speaker 5: Your first it was like not even in my top five.
- 28:50Speaker 5: Now it's the one that I put on first.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Okay, is it? Is it?
- 29:00Speaker 3: Him be?
- 29:00Speaker 2: But daddy. I love him because no, she loves that one.
- 29:03Speaker 8: Okay, I'm gonna go just because it feels random.
- 29:09Speaker 2: My boy only breaks his favorite told me, no, I
- 29:12Speaker 2: hate that one easy.
- 29:14Speaker 6: Sorry, sorry, I hate the strong word.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Love of my life No, maybe second lost of my life,
- 29:20Speaker 5: maybe the second.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Half alchemy, alchemy, no the Boulter, No.
- 29:25Speaker 4: My daughter's wand no.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Florida so high school?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Oh guiltiest Sin?
- 29:32Speaker 5: Yes, Oh wow, I only took a hundred guesses, trick.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I was like the last one and I hadn't guessed.
- 29:38Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, guilty Sin, I think it might be my favorite.
- 29:42Speaker 2: And you were just mad about that one.
- 29:44Speaker 6: Not only man. I was like hard on it.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 29:47Speaker 5: I was like, I remember Hannah Brown. We have like
- 29:50Speaker 5: Hannah Brown as a guest, and she was like, it's
- 29:51Speaker 5: my favorite, and I was.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Like, this is the negativity I want to avoid in
- 29:54Speaker 3: twenty twenty five when somebody says I love that song.
- 29:57Speaker 4: You could go.
- 30:02Speaker 8: I had this conversation with Haley last night about how
- 30:05Speaker 8: it's how it is so important when someone says they
- 30:09Speaker 8: like something to go, oh really like like be curious
- 30:13Speaker 8: about it, even if you don't love it, but like
- 30:15Speaker 8: curious why like why do you love it as opposed
- 30:17Speaker 8: to just immediately poop pooing it.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Not even poo pooing it. It's like you want you
- 30:20Speaker 5: I'm like, no, my song's better.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Yeah, not doing that, I'm saying, right, right, I do that.
- 30:26Speaker 5: I know well, you know it's only room for growth.
- 30:29Speaker 2: And wife. Wife, a woman in full effort plus ever floor.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Fluorescence, efflorescence florescence.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Doesn't try to be better. She just goes like, wow,
- 30:44Speaker 2: I love that for you.
- 30:45Speaker 6: I love yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's that.
- 30:49Speaker 6: That's that.
- 30:50Speaker 5: We hope you have a safe New Year's Eve.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Be safe, be happy, be.
- 30:55Speaker 6: Oh and I can't wait for prediction.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Do you have any breakup predictions? I wanted to get
- 30:58Speaker 3: to that make up predictions.
- 31:00Speaker 6: It's pretty happened twenty five.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Tate McRae and Kiddle Roy.
- 31:05Speaker 8: Damn you heard it here first.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Who's together?
- 31:11Speaker 8: Like everybody, I don't want it to happen, but I
- 31:15Speaker 8: think Gracie Abrams and Paul.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Mescal School, Mescal mess School, Samari right, No more, Okay.
- 31:24Speaker 4: You got another one.
- 31:25Speaker 3: By the way, I'm looking at your list from March
- 31:27Speaker 3: of twenty three, another one has fallen, that being Ben
- 31:30Speaker 3: and j Loo. You gave them five years though you're
- 31:32Speaker 3: a little high on that one. I know.
- 31:33Speaker 8: No, I just was like, it's the second round. They
- 31:36Speaker 8: have to make it at least five years, right, No,
- 31:38Speaker 8: they don't.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Wait?
- 31:40Speaker 2: Uh what did I say about Meghan Fox and MGK?
- 31:44Speaker 2: Were they on there?
- 31:44Speaker 5: Oh?
- 31:45Speaker 3: Question?
- 31:47Speaker 6: They're still back and forth?
- 31:49Speaker 9: Uh?
- 31:50Speaker 4: They were not on here?
- 31:51Speaker 2: Dang I would have I probably would have.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Given by the way you did say Taylor and Travels
- 31:56Speaker 3: would be over by October second four.
- 32:00Speaker 5: What about Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater?
- 32:03Speaker 8: I will say after I'm gonna say till twenty twenty six.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Jen Tran and Sasha Farber.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Are they still together as we speak?
- 32:15Speaker 6: That's a good, solid, solid question.
- 32:18Speaker 4: But none of your forevers have fallen.
- 32:20Speaker 5: Justin Bieber and Haley Bieber's here.
