- 0:00And we're talking. We're talking.
- 0:03The next part of Operation Vivaldi is
- 0:06back, baby.
- 0:28So, let's uh yeah, we're going to talk
- 0:30about Operation Vivaldi plus
- 0:33Presidente
- 0:35having even his absolute
- 0:40diehard fans
- 0:42uh reputation launderer really uh go out
- 0:45and abandon him.
- 0:49Good day, OG Dirty One Canobi.
- 0:58Welcome, welcome, welcome. I know we're
- 1:00off to a little bit of a late start, but
- 1:02you know, it's uh today's my long run
- 1:06day, so it took well a long time to do.
- 1:09That's how that works.
- 1:27Mr. Ariel on time this time. You know
- 1:30that implies that my streams are on any
- 1:33kind of regular identifiable schedule.
- 1:36And I I'm just here to tell you uh
- 1:39they're not.
- 1:41They're just not.
- 1:45So, you know,
- 1:48don't worry about it. Don't don't ever
- 1:50be like, "Oh, I'm late."
- 1:53Because you can't be late to something
- 1:54that just happens at at random times.
- 1:59That's my thing. I was like, for a long
- 2:01time, I resisted live streaming because
- 2:02I was like, "Oh, a schedule." Like I
- 2:05have an upload schedule obviously, but
- 2:07like
- 2:08every given day has different
- 2:10constraints and different things and and
- 2:12part of the one of the best parts about
- 2:14being a YouTuber
- 2:16is that uh
- 2:20you know
- 2:22like you just
- 2:24get to flex around. You get to take your
- 2:26kids to their doctor's appointments,
- 2:28right? you get to um uh you know uh say
- 2:33hey I'm going to cut out at 3 and I'm
- 2:35just going to do my my work at the you
- 2:38know in the evening right you get to
- 2:39make those kind of flexes and it's
- 2:41really if you ever gone from working in
- 2:43office to working from home it's a it
- 2:45makes a huge difference makes a really
- 2:46tremendous difference
- 2:48so
- 2:52um
- 2:57yeah so but anyway I when I started live
- 2:59streaming I was just like you know what
- 3:01there's no law there's I have no boss. I
- 3:04mean you guys are sort of my boss but
- 3:06like I I have no boss. I'm going to live
- 3:08stream
- 3:09four days a week when I want to. When
- 3:11when I am done everything that I want to
- 3:13get done I'll live stream.
- 3:18That's right. And you know you're right.
- 3:20It's more fun when it's random. Plus,
- 3:22you know, as we know, intermittent
- 3:24conditioning, it reproduces the
- 3:26strongest response.
- 3:35Yeah, vote in November is [ __ ] right,
- 3:38guys. Okay.
- 3:41Should we talk should we talk about this
- 3:42this this Trump thing? I want to do that
- 3:44so that we can focus uh some more
- 3:46attention on Operation uh Vivaldi
- 3:49because I I think it's pretty sick. So,
- 3:52let's uh let's let's let's do that.
- 3:59Okay,
- 4:01that's right, Mr. Ary. My channel, my
- 4:03rules, right? I I spent, you know,
- 4:09five years in active duty military or
- 4:11four years on active duty military.
- 4:13Another two in the reserves
- 4:15and
- 4:17seven years at the Department of
- 4:18Homeland Security. You know what? I have
- 4:23I I know how to be the bottom of a
- 4:24hierarchy. All right. I know what it's
- 4:26like to be, you know?
- 4:29Yeah. At the bottom of a of a hierarchy
- 4:31and and getting told what to do by a
- 4:34million zillion gajillion bosses of
- 4:36varying levels of of competence. And you
- 4:38know what? I don't have a boss. I get to
- 4:40do whatever the hell I want. That's what
- 4:42I like.
- 4:49So, yeah, let's let's let's let's follow
- 4:51my rules. Let's take a look. Let me pull
- 4:53this up because this is this I want to
- 4:54talk to talk about.
- 5:05That's no secret that the president's
- 5:06polling numbers have been in the toilet.
- 5:09But it's not just his rank and file
- 5:12supporters from the MAG verse that have
- 5:13abandoned him. In fact, now one of his
- 5:16most crucial, maybe the most crucial
- 5:19media ally of Trump has gone and bailed
- 5:24on him. And not only that, but actually
- 5:26he's given him the finger on the way
- 5:28out. This is actually crazy given that
- 5:31we are just 43 days away from the
- 5:33midterms. To see the president's
- 5:37basically number one media ally do this.
- 5:40It really it just it it blows my mind.
- 5:43So here's the context. A bunch of news
- 5:46organizations were barred from the White
- 5:48House and they filed suit against Trump
- 5:50himself uh in response to this ban. So
- 5:54media outlets including the New York
- 5:56Times and Fox News are suspending their
- 5:58use of what's called pool audio, video,
- 5:59and photographs of the president. And
- 6:02essentially that says, listen, there's a
- 6:03gazillion major media outlets. There's,
- 6:05I don't know, 50, let's say. And they
- 6:06say, listen, we're not going to have 50
- 6:08people follow on the president. That's
- 6:10actually like so high volume that it
- 6:13actually interferes with our ability to
- 6:14do our job. So they say, "Listen, let's
- 6:16just agree that we take turns and we
- 6:19just have a couple of audio people, a
- 6:21couple of video people, and a couple
- 6:22photographers just go around and and and
- 6:25produce media of these events, and we
- 6:26all agree to kind of share it, right? We
- 6:28all pull their salaries. We kind of
- 6:29rotate persons. It's a it's a efficient
- 6:32system, right? it it reduces the amount
- 6:36of like crazy media presence. But
- 6:40uh
- 6:42these reporters essentially everyone
- 6:46from that runs this pool is boycotting
- 6:49it including NPR but including here's
- 6:53the crazy part Fox News. Now here's what
- 6:55they're responding to. Reporters from
- 6:57CNN, MS Now and Politico were banned
- 6:59from entering the White House because
- 7:01the president didn't like what they
- 7:02reported. these new these news
- 7:04organizations have sued. But what's
- 7:07critical is not so much it's not news
- 7:09that the president hates CNN or
- 7:11Politico, right? He did the same thing
- 7:13with The Atlantic and Reuters, right?
- 7:15He's trying to like ban these people
- 7:16from White House press conferences. He's
- 7:17always trying to do something. But
- 7:22what's unique is that usually what
- 7:25happens is that the president's media
- 7:27allies, especially first and foremost
- 7:30Fox News and other Rupert Murdoch
- 7:33properties like Fox, like like the New
- 7:34York Post,
- 7:36those guys absolutely kiss his ass. They
- 7:40say, "Yeah, you know, you'll get some
- 7:43Fox News, some like unhinged Botox
- 7:45failed comedian being like, "Yeah, he's
- 7:48told those woke liberal Reuters
- 7:51reporters, what for? President Trump so
- 7:54strong, making America great." But the
- 7:57fact that not only is Fox News not
- 7:59saying any of those things, not
- 8:00laundering his decision, but that
- 8:02actually Fox News is like, "Hey,
- 8:07you can't ban these guys."
- 8:10And if you're going to do it, we are
- 8:12going to not cover you. And if you're
- 8:16not in the US, you may not appreciate
- 8:18just how much
- 8:20President Trump exists as a creature of
- 8:24the media.
- 8:25He is by almost all accounts addicted to
- 8:29uh television cameras, media coverage.
- 8:31And so taking that away from him is like
- 8:36it's it it's like taking
- 8:40your security blanket away from my
- 8:422-year-old. They're going to go
- 8:45ballistic and they're going to be
- 8:47deprived of the thing that is giving
- 8:49them any semblance of emotional
- 8:50stability. And I literally didn't
- 8:52believe this, but I had to go on Fox
- 8:54News itself and confirmed that this is
- 8:57this is from Fox News, the White House
- 8:58TV pool to suspend coverage of Trump
- 9:00events. Now, this is one, this is
- 9:03already Fox News headline writers being
- 9:07doing some slop. You notice how they
- 9:10they take agency away from Fox News.
- 9:12They're like, "Not Fox News isn't
- 9:14betraying President Trump. No, never.
- 9:16It's the White House TV pool.
- 9:19which Fox News is a member of, saying,
- 9:22quote, "The public has a vital interest
- 9:23in receiving accurate independent
- 9:25information about its government."
- 9:26That's quoting a joint statement that
- 9:28Fox signed. So, I'm I'm I always think
- 9:30this, but remember the headline writers
- 9:32of Fox News, they are they're their own
- 9:37unhinged people, right? Separate from
- 9:39the people who write the articles.
- 9:41Sometimes when we've looked at articles,
- 9:42the article is written by a sane person
- 9:44with a complete a relatively complete
- 9:46grasp of the facts. And the headline
- 9:48though will will barely even reflect the
- 9:51facts of the article. It'll be some
- 9:52crazy slop. As you can see, they also
- 9:55made me turn off the ad blocker. So,
- 9:56there's plenty of AI slop here for
- 9:58everyone. But here's the here's the
- 10:00actual text from Fox News saying White
- 10:01House television pool members Fox News
- 10:03Media
- 10:04Jesus Christ. It's like you this is Fox
- 10:07News.com, you know. Anyway, Fox News
- 10:09Media, ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC
- 10:12News announced Monday they've agreed to
- 10:14suspend their pulled coverage of
- 10:15President Trump after he banned CNN, MS
- 10:17Now Political, accusing the three
- 10:19outlets of publishing fake news. Monday
- 10:20had been CSN's turn to serve as White
- 10:22House pool representative. The pool
- 10:24members have long taken turns covering
- 10:25the president and sharing footage.
- 10:27Quote, "The public has a vital interest
- 10:28in receiving accurate, independent
- 10:30information about its government. No
- 10:31administration should restrict a news
- 10:33organization because it objects to its
- 10:34reporting," this pool member said in a
- 10:37joint statement.
- 10:38Right.
- 10:40And of course from the actual banned
- 10:43outlets they said quote this morning we
- 10:44notified the government that we are
- 10:45filing a lawsuit today to protect our
- 10:47first amendment rights and defend the
- 10:48principle that the government does not
- 10:49decide what the press reports or
- 10:51publishes. Quote without notice of
- 10:53process of right white house revoked our
- 10:54journalist credentials because it
- 10:56objected to our reporting. The statement
- 10:57continued quote left unchallenged this
- 10:59threatens press freedom and the public's
- 11:00right to independent journalism free
- 11:02from government interference.
- 11:04right now. Trump said that he was not
- 11:07going after quote free press. He instead
- 11:09quote said the White House is not
- 11:10instituting an assault on the free press
- 11:13news to me. Uh something which I
- 11:15cherish. It is in instituting an assault
- 11:19on fake news. Something that has grown
- 11:21like cancer in our beloved United
- 11:23States. It is corrupt, purposeful,
- 11:25pervasive, fully coordinated and totally
- 11:27out of control. It is a threat to our
- 11:29national security. Must be stopped now.
- 11:31So again, I love it. uh free press only
- 11:35if the president agrees with what they
- 11:36say. Uh one, this is unusual because Fox
- 11:42News almost never quotes the president's
- 11:44tweets. And the reason they don't do so
- 11:46is because the president's tweets are
- 11:48[ __ ] crazy. And the fact that they
- 11:51are verbatim quoting his crazy [ __ ] is
- 11:55kind of crazy. Now, obviously, it's it's
- 11:56far down in the article and like the
- 11:59median Fox News viewer is not going to
- 12:00consume this, but still the fact that
- 12:02they are willing to put with the crazy
- 12:05caps like this is something that is
- 12:08almost like a parody. Like you would
- 12:10find this in like a like an unserious
- 12:12video game
- 12:14like like found like a found document
- 12:16like I this isn't an assault on the free
- 12:19press, it's an assault on the fake news.
- 12:23It's like, okay, if they lie you, which
- 12:26by the way, they can't liel you because
- 12:28you're the president of the United
- 12:29States. And you can only go after
- 12:31somebody for liel or I think it's
- 12:33defamation. I think liel's spoken. But
- 12:36you can only go after somebody for liel
- 12:37if they have caused material harm to
- 12:40your business. But you're the president.
- 12:42The president,
- 12:44he's not legally allowed to have a
- 12:45business. That's conflict of interest.
- 12:47So how can they defame him? Of course,
- 12:50President Trump made $1.4 4 billion in
- 12:52his crypto business. That didn't show up
- 12:54in the article.
- 12:56Now, before we talk about the pres what
- 12:58the president said literally hours
- 13:01before that statement and why it keeps
- 13:04running into the pesky US Constitution
- 13:07and how bad it is try to pro trying to
- 13:09profile how bad it is for the president
- 13:13uh that Fox News is out here
- 13:17putting shots across the bow on the guy
- 13:19proverbally. Don't Don't [ __ ] it at me.
- 13:23Right.
- 13:24Uh, I want to mention that if you are
- 13:28like the president and you feel like you
- 13:31need to just rant and rave at all times,
- 13:34I'd encourage you to calm down. Maybe
- 13:36you're just suffering from a little
- 13:37caffeine withdrawal. That's okay. I have
- 13:40the solution. And it's made in the USA.
- 13:42It's veteranowned and it's got the
- 13:44caffeine of an energy drink. Strike gum
- 13:46with 90 milligrams caffeine every piece.
- 13:48100 milligrams alpha GPC. Zero sugar.
- 13:50It's made in the USA. We're not stuck in
- 13:52a cargo container in the Red Sea or
- 13:55rolling over mines in in the straight of
- 13:57Hormuz. No, no, no. It's made in Denver,
- 13:59Colorado. No sketchy Chinese peptides
- 14:02here, lads. But it does pack all the
- 14:04caffeine of one of these, but it doesn't
- 14:05taste like carbonated cough syrup. So,
- 14:07go to strikegum.com.
- 14:09And by the way, use the creator
- 14:12discounts. Go to the meet our creators.
- 14:14They're they're they're threearters of
- 14:16our creators are military veterans. Uh
- 14:19use one of their codes guys to get your
- 14:23discount. Uh and plus the creators get
- 14:26uh you know it it hooks them up too and
- 14:29that that [ __ ] means something to them,
- 14:30right? So go to strike.com. You can also
- 14:33pick it up on Amazon, but I I don't
- 14:34think the creator codes will work. Sh.
- 14:36Don't tell Jeff Bezos.
- 14:39So here's the thing. Officially, John
- 14:41Trump says, "No, this isn't a
- 14:42restriction on the free press, and it's
- 14:44definitely not a restriction on the free
- 14:45press because of their reporting." But
- 14:49literally, this was from yesterday
- 14:51afternoon
- 14:53in which he says, "As expected, fake
- 14:55news CNN Politico, then in parenthesis,
- 14:57pay back the $8 million contribution
- 14:59made by US government to keep them
- 15:01afloat
- 15:02and MS now, formerly MSDNC, have brought
- 15:06suit to gain access to the White House
- 15:09and your president, comma, me." They
- 15:11have drawn a great judge for them, a man
- 15:14who ruled in favor of Jim Acasta, who
- 15:16now seems to have disappeared from the
- 15:18planet, capital P. And then he names the
- 15:21judge. Uh,
- 15:24and he was sadly appointed by, and then
- 15:27in quotations, Trump in all caps. This
- 15:30is brilliant. This is crazy to be like,
- 15:32"Yeah, he's a bad judge. I appointed
- 15:34him." You're not Did Wow. Uh,
- 15:41as usual, we'll go for appeal because
- 15:44fake news people and publications, he
- 15:46says, fake news people and publications
- 15:48that only write negatively and who
- 15:50violate our national security by writing
- 15:51false and defamatory stories with
- 15:53unknown sources. By the way, I want to
- 15:55point out that almost every major story
- 15:57has been proven absolutely correct.
- 15:59Shouldn't be allowed access to the most
- 16:01important office anywhere in the world.
- 16:03It's called the Oval Office, and it
- 16:05should be treated with decorum, respect,
- 16:07and dignity, not defiled by third rate
- 16:10clowns. Now, again, I point out that uh
- 16:12Trump in the Oval Office has a merch
- 16:14store. Um, so uh
- 16:18uh
- 16:21you know,
- 16:25uh yeah, here we go. Here we go. This is
- 16:26this is the Oval Office. And as you can
- 16:28see, there's there's the merch. There's
- 16:31the merch. There's him showing Zalinsky
- 16:33the merch. Um, so you know, listen, do
- 16:37you know how bad it is that that that
- 16:40like I'm a YouTuber that works in my
- 16:44garage and I have the good sense
- 16:48to not sell [ __ ] merch and not put my
- 16:50merch in the background. Though, in my
- 16:52defense, back there is a is a is a
- 16:53container of strike gum. But you know
- 16:56the fact that no one he told the
- 16:57president, "Hey man, uh the Oval Office
- 17:00should be treated with decor and respect
- 17:02and dignity, not defiled by a merch
- 17:06store."
- 17:08He says, "Purposely twist degrade
- 17:09everything we write or publish." You
- 17:11guys do that yourselves, man. As
- 17:13discussed, like when we talk about, hey,
- 17:15the whole die for Israel joke, it's
- 17:17pretty funny. Um, but the State
- 17:19Department website says that Operation
- 17:22Epic Fury was launched at the request of
- 17:27Israel
- 17:28and in defense of Israel. So, I don't
- 17:31know, man. That doesn't require a lot of
- 17:32twisting.
- 17:35Then he says something that's virtually
- 17:36every story about me or anything having
- 17:37to do with me is negative, wrong, and
- 17:39dangerous for our country. He just he
- 17:42said the thing. Oh my god, this is this
- 17:44is hysterical. Uh, but here's the thing.
- 17:46Here's here's here's what really matters
- 17:48here, right? Then he goes on this thing
- 17:49about the election which he says is fake
- 17:51but was also real when he won it. Um the
- 17:55point is is that he just says he just
- 17:58says the thing and instead you know what
- 18:02what a what a more sophisticated
- 18:03political actor would do would say hey
- 18:05we are um revoking everyone's press pass
- 18:07except for Fox News while we go through
- 18:09a recredentiing a background check
- 18:11process. And then they'd say, "Hey, we
- 18:13noticed that the background check
- 18:14process was completed immediately for
- 18:16New York Post and Fox News and Newsmax
- 18:19and it's taken two years for all of
- 18:21CNN's people, right?" Like, and then
- 18:22they have to sue and d goes back and
- 18:24forth. And but instead, normally that's
- 18:27what you would do. And that's what
- 18:28probably like the White House's lawyers,
- 18:30if there are still any lawyers working
- 18:31for the White House at this point,
- 18:33that's what a real lawyer might try to
- 18:34argue um and say, "Ah, it's just
- 18:37bureaucratic procedure. It's hard
- 18:39because uh CNN reporters travel
- 18:41overseas. Um you know, so we have to
- 18:44like takes longer to do their background
- 18:45check. Blah blah blah blah blah blah.
- 18:47Like make make up some stuff. But here's
- 18:48the thing. You can't make up some stuff
- 18:50because the president came out and said,
- 18:52"No, no, no. It's not it's not a
- 18:54security thing. It's not any of that.
- 18:55It's because they say fake things. It's
- 18:59because they report things that I don't
- 19:01like."
- 19:02And here's the problem. You may be think
- 19:04why why can't they just get act why
- 19:06can't the president decide who gets
- 19:08access and and that's because of this um
- 19:10this this this thing you might have
- 19:12heard of it it's called the first
- 19:14amendment to the US constitution
- 19:17and uh believe it or not guys uh this is
- 19:19this is actually we're going to a
- 19:21government website once again guys I
- 19:23don't have to make anything up the
- 19:25government themselves tells us these
- 19:26things that says Congress shall make no
- 19:28law now respecting an establishment of
- 19:31religion prohibiting the free exercise
- 19:32thereof abridging the freedom of speech
- 19:34or of the press. Meaning that it's
- 19:37actually
- 19:39if you were strictly interpreting the
- 19:41constitution, it is illegal for the
- 19:44president to deny any journalist access
- 19:47to the White House because there should
- 19:50be a free press and the press should be
- 19:52free to question the president. Right.
- 19:54Now, obviously not 24/7, not at all
- 19:57hours of the day and night, right?
- 19:59Right. Like this is always couched in
- 20:01like a level of reason, reasonleness.
- 20:04But you should understand that the very
- 20:08first amendment and we've discussed that
- 20:11the the founding fathers left us a bunch
- 20:14of writing to know exactly what they
- 20:15were trying to say here. And it was
- 20:17eminently clear that that
- 20:21democracies only work with a free press.
- 20:24Right? Again, here's the National
- 20:26Constitution Center.
- 20:29that generally speaking it means the
- 20:32government cannot jail, fine or impose
- 20:33civil liability on people organizations
- 20:34based on what they say or write except
- 20:36in extreme circumstances.
- 20:39Right? The Supreme Court has held that
- 20:40all speakers are protected against all
- 20:42government agencies and officials
- 20:43federal, state, local, legislative,
- 20:45executive or judicial. First amendment
- 20:47does not protect speakers against
- 20:48private individuals, organizations like
- 20:49private employers, private colleges,
- 20:51private land owners. Restricts only it's
- 20:53a restriction imposed on the government.
- 20:56Right.
- 21:00And what's interesting is that the the
- 21:04reason this is so by the way defamation
- 21:07of the false statements that damage a
- 21:09person's reputation and can lead to
- 21:10civil liability and sometimes criminal
- 21:12punishment especially when the speaker
- 21:13deliberately lied or said things they
- 21:15knew were false right true threats uh
- 21:19I'll kill you if you don't give me your
- 21:20money right uh are are not protected
- 21:24obviously like producing things of like
- 21:26an extreme extreme ex obscene predatory
- 21:28nature or literally just straight up
- 21:30lying like uh you know like Tylenol
- 21:32causes autism that would be an example
- 21:34of um not protected speech in a real
- 21:37country. But
- 21:41I I I point these things out because the
- 21:44notion of free expression and free
- 21:46speech are actually bound up because in
- 21:49America there is no such thing as a
- 21:50press license. By picking up a camera
- 21:53and transmitting information to others
- 21:56to know and understand, you become the
- 21:58press. And the
- 22:02this
- 22:04protection is essential to the way
- 22:06democracies work. And here's here's why.
- 22:11Because
- 22:13Vladimir Putin has elections, right? And
- 22:16yes, he rigs his elections using the
- 22:18power of the law to silence real
- 22:20opposition parties. But another way he
- 22:23rigs his elections is by destroying any
- 22:26independent media. Some of the only
- 22:28independent media that exists in Russia
- 22:30is actually like funded by outside
- 22:34sources. Russian dissident for example.
- 22:36Um you know notably one of the sources
- 22:39we use is the Moscow Times which are not
- 22:42even like anti-Russian. They just make
- 22:43objectively true reporting. Uh but the
- 22:47problem is that Moscow Times isn't
- 22:49actually available in in Russia. And
- 22:53the fact is that by restricting the
- 22:58press and the ideas that are allowed to
- 23:00be discussed in Russia, voters can't
- 23:03make intelligent voting decisions. How
- 23:06do you know if your economy is being run
- 23:10wisely or ineptly? The answer is you
- 23:12don't. or simple, how how do you know if
- 23:15you're winning the war? How does a
- 23:17Russian know that they are winning the
- 23:18war? The Russian government is their
- 23:21only source of information. It is
- 23:22illegal to report any other uh report
- 23:26about the war. Any other assessment of
- 23:28the war other than Russia is winning is
- 23:30illegal. So, how can a voter vote? How
- 23:33can you have an electoral democracy
- 23:35without the ability of voters to obtain
- 23:39any kind of information about the way
- 23:41the country is being run? You don't, you
- 23:43know, you can't sit there and be like,
- 23:44"Oh, well, we well, we found out we were
- 23:46losing the war because uh British troops
- 23:49marched through my neighborhood and then
- 23:50I was like, huh, I guess the government
- 23:52lied to me." And that's but that's
- 23:54really what's happening to a lot of
- 23:55these people in Moscow in St.
- 23:57Petersburg. They're not finding out that
- 23:59Ukraine is isn't on the brink of defeat
- 24:02with Ukrainian drones buzzing overhead.
- 24:07So, this principle is one of those
- 24:09things that is worth defending. And
- 24:11again, I point out it is worth defending
- 24:12so much that despite getting absolutely
- 24:16lambasted by Fox News, Joe Biden never
- 24:20came close to kicking Fox News out of
- 24:23the press pool. Never even attempted to.
- 24:29And the fact that Trump is out here
- 24:31trying to do this and that he is 45 days
- 24:33away from a midterm is um crazy because
- 24:38the thing is pissing off Fox News is the
- 24:42stupidest idea for the president. And
- 24:45let me show you why. This is the top 50
- 24:48news websites by visits
- 24:51in the United States.
- 24:53Okay. Now, I want you I want to take a
- 24:56look at the top 10 here, okay? To help
- 24:59me so you we can understand this
- 25:00together. Number one is a New York
- 25:02Times, right? Oh. Oh, there you go. What
- 25:06news brand? What am I looking at? No,
- 25:08these are fastest growing, right? These
- 25:10are the largest visits. New York Times,
- 25:13August alone, nearly 400 million visits,
- 25:16right? Fox Newsw.com had nearly 200
- 25:19million visits. Now, both of these
- 25:22reflect some drops from last year,
- 25:24right, where the news was kind of crazy.
- 25:26You can see CNN.com, but then you have
- 25:29some of these sites that are not real
- 25:30sites at all, right? Finance.yahoo.com.
- 25:32I mean, that's real news, but it's
- 25:33finance news. People.com is a news
- 25:36aggregator. MSN.com is a news
- 25:37aggregator. Substack.com is a like news
- 25:40platform. Um, whoa, 30% year-over-year
- 25:44growth. News.goole.com is a news
- 25:45aggregator. New York Post is a proTrump
- 25:48outlet. and then BBC UK government
- 25:50outlet. So I point these things out
- 25:52because of the top 10 news outlets in
- 25:54the country, you can see that two of
- 25:56them are proTrump. So one, Trump's
- 25:59allegation that the news pool is like
- 26:02being mean to him is is not really true.
- 26:05And Fox News, I point out, literally,
- 26:08we're talking about 200 million hits
- 26:10every single month or every single Yeah.
- 26:14Every single month, represents a huge
- 26:18ability to reach a massive portion of
- 26:20the US electorate with a proTrump
- 26:23message. That is the thing. The
- 26:25president has failed to realize that
- 26:27despite the New York Times, his hatred
- 26:29of the New York Times and CNN, Fox News
- 26:32is reaching more people and more
- 26:36proTrumpers. Right? The median age of a
- 26:39consumer of Fox News is 55 years old. Uh
- 26:44for nearly half of Americans over 65
- 26:46regularly get their news from Fox News.
- 26:48And if you know anything about American
- 26:50voters, those over 65 are the only ones
- 26:52with time to vote because Americans vote
- 26:54on a on a workday and they are not
- 26:56legally permitted to get any kind of of
- 26:58vacation or time off to vote. So if you
- 27:02work, basically you can't vote. Um you
- 27:06are functionally disenfranchised. But
- 27:0865year-olds, they have nothing but time.
- 27:11So they always vote. And 50% of them
- 27:14consume Fox News, right? 45% of age 50
- 27:17to 64 consume Fox News and just a third
- 27:19of age 30 to 49y olds consume Fox News.
- 27:22Um,
- 27:24and among old conservatives, 75% of them
- 27:28trust Fox News. Uh,
- 27:31and this is crazy for a number of
- 27:35reasons. Namely, this thing is powering
- 27:40uh Trump's voter base, right?
- 27:44So like
- 27:49I mean when you look at the share of
- 27:51Trump voters over uh 55 or we'll do over
- 27:5565, right? Uh
- 28:00you are looking at basically older
- 28:03voters going all in. Oh my god, AP
- 28:05should this website's also terrible. You
- 28:07can see voters over 50 put their weight
- 28:10behind Trump 5247
- 28:13and
- 28:16uh what they generously call middle-aged
- 28:19voters uh but among voters 65 and older
- 28:23again it was a split. So and basically
- 28:2650% of the US electorate is over 55 or
- 28:29over 50 years old. So, you should
- 28:31understand that the ability to reach
- 28:33voters over 55 um
- 28:37is absolutely essential and Trump has
- 28:41just shot that ability uh completely in
- 28:44the foot. It would be crazy. Um you'd
- 28:48think, man, it's surely he's playing
- 28:51some 5D chess. He's not. He's not. He's
- 28:54just not a smart guy. He just isn't
- 28:55surrounded by good adviserss. every
- 28:58adviser worth their salt doed on out of
- 29:01there. Got either got kicked out via
- 29:02Doge and so he's getting absolutely dog
- 29:06[ __ ] advice. Pete Hgsth getting dog [ __ ]
- 29:09advice. There's no experts left. They've
- 29:11all been fired. They all got kicked out.
- 29:13They all got sent somewhere else. And so
- 29:16what you have is trying to govern by
- 29:18tweet. And well, we see how that's
- 29:21working out. Anyway guys, check to make
- 29:22sure you're still subscribed. Thanks to
- 29:24John, Kevin, Michael, Rob, Thomas,
- 29:26William, Al, as well as those lieutenant
- 29:29tier folks. We really appreciate you
- 29:30guys.
- 29:32So, okay, I see I see some super chats.
- 29:35Ace Cams, I don't think even rigging the
- 29:37election is going to save Trump with how
- 29:38unpopular he's getting. Everyone's
- 29:40turning their backs on him, even his
- 29:41dieards. Um, yeah, I I I I think you're
- 29:45100% correct. I mean, I think they're
- 29:47forecasting this election to be
- 29:50genuinely a um train wreck of pretty
- 29:54epic proportions. Um,
- 29:58and I worry I don't I worry less about
- 30:03the administration
- 30:05itself.
- 30:07I worry I I don't worry about the
- 30:08election outcome. I I I worry about the
- 30:12president
- 30:14um doing things to damage America's like
- 30:20trust in its elections. He already
- 30:21maintains that inexplicably in 2020 um
- 30:25the the Democrats like hacked the
- 30:27election somehow but then decided just
- 30:30not to do that in 2024. Like the 2024
- 30:32election in his mind was legitimate and
- 30:34the 2020 election was fake. And it's not
- 30:37really clear how despite Democrats
- 30:39controlling everything in 2024, like
- 30:41they still rigged it somehow. It doesn't
- 30:43make any sense. There's no evidence for
- 30:45it. And the problem is that the US
- 30:46president is repeatedly saying the US is
- 30:48not a democracy. Which means, and he
- 30:51believes it. He really believes it's
- 30:52true. It's not like a gimmick. It's not
- 30:54a bit. And the problem, the thing that
- 30:56keeps me awake at night is that if you
- 30:58believe these elections are false, like
- 31:00Vladimir Putin, Putin voted online this
- 31:02year because his elections aren't real.
- 31:05So they you can vote any [ __ ] way you
- 31:07want when it's not real, right? Like
- 31:12whatever play food my daughter brings
- 31:13me, she can tell me it's a pancake and
- 31:15I'll believe her because because we're
- 31:17all just it's not real. You know what I
- 31:20mean?
- 31:21If elections are real, then you have to
- 31:23So no, we can't vote online. We have to
- 31:26have some kind of secure mail ballot
- 31:28system. We have to have uh uh uh voter
- 31:31roles, right? We have to have uh you
- 31:34know we we have to do all these things
- 31:36to to weigh be like hey can we how do we
- 31:39make voting accessible to the broader
- 31:41public as as accessible as possible but
- 31:45keep it secure but make sure that the
- 31:47number of of instances of non of
- 31:50non-eligible voters voting is is low and
- 31:54we have a system that largely does that.
- 31:56The number of votes cast illegally has
- 31:59consistently been found to be uh when
- 32:02rounded to the nearest whole number
- 32:03zero.
- 32:05Something around one in one million
- 32:07votes, right? not enough to impact uh
- 32:09like if you took every if you took every
- 32:12instance of actual cast ballots, not not
- 32:15someone registering, not someone like
- 32:18like defrauding a v voter registration
- 32:20drive by entering fake names, but actual
- 32:23people who voted in an election and
- 32:25submitted a a filled out ballot that
- 32:27they weren't supposed to.
- 32:30um
- 32:31and you added them all up, there would
- 32:34not be enough to sway a city council
- 32:37election in my suburb.
- 32:40That is how low actual voter fraud is.
- 32:43It doesn't exist. And
- 32:47you know, President Trump, the problem
- 32:49is that my worry is that he's going to
- 32:51do some [ __ ] Putin Crimea [ __ ] Like
- 32:56voting in Crimea was done under at
- 32:59gunpoint.
- 33:01Like Russian soldiers collected votes
- 33:04from people. They weren't secret. They
- 33:07handed random residents pieces of paper
- 33:10and they said, "Here, you're going to
- 33:11vote. Write your name on the top. Select
- 33:13your party. And if you don't want to end
- 33:15up in a [ __ ] FSB jail cell
- 33:20in Sevastapole,
- 33:22you write your name at the top and you
- 33:23write Vladimir Putin, United Russia.
- 33:26That's called survival. Okay.
- 33:30And yeah, cuz there's a guy with a gun.
- 33:32If the guy with a gun tells you who to
- 33:35vote for, you just have to vote for
- 33:36them. And my fear is that he's going to
- 33:38pull some [ __ ] like that. that he's
- 33:40going to put armed, you know, armed
- 33:42individuals, uh, you know, ICE, the US
- 33:45military. He's going to declare a
- 33:46national emergency and sort of change
- 33:48the way voting works at the last minute.
- 33:51Um, do all these things to make it hard
- 33:52to vote. Uh, and it's going to
- 33:54disproportionately impact um, blue
- 33:57states like cities. He's going to say,
- 33:58"Ah, cities are too dangerous. We can
- 34:00only have one polling site per county."
- 34:02Well, okay. Uh, you know, Manhattan
- 34:04County, New York, and Bum [ __ ] County,
- 34:07Wisconsin are gonna have the same
- 34:08polling one poll polling place. Like,
- 34:10come on, man. And believe me, I'm in
- 34:12Texas. That's how they do this this
- 34:14stuff. In fact, Texas is so dog [ __ ]
- 34:17that they sometimes will say, "Hey, if
- 34:18you're a registered Democrat, you have
- 34:20to vote in Democrat designated um polls
- 34:24or or or if you're a Republican, you
- 34:26have to vote in Republican designated
- 34:28polls." And the problem is that in in um
- 34:32like super Democrat areas, so like a
- 34:34college station, right, a major
- 34:36university town, they'll say, "Oh, well,
- 34:38you guys each have Republicans and
- 34:40Democrats each have three polling
- 34:41stations, but there's only [ __ ] 10
- 34:44Republican voters in the whole county,
- 34:46and there's 80,000 Democrat voters. And
- 34:50so the Democrat voters have to wait in
- 34:51line for 8 to 12 hours."
- 34:54And like obviously, as discussed, you
- 34:57don't get time off. You don't get food
- 34:59and water. You got to get in line.
- 35:02You're gonna be there for 8 to 12 hours.
- 35:03It's ridiculous. The idea that like you
- 35:05can't exercise a franchise without the
- 35:07ability to stand in line for a gazillion
- 35:09hours is ridiculous, right?
- 35:25Like let's see if we can find how long
- 35:26the longest wait time
- 35:35Okay, let's see. Here's
- 35:51Okay, here's an example of average
- 35:53weight times over 11 minutes. So this is
- 35:58MIT election data dian lab election
- 36:00performance index 2020 election right
- 36:05data includes voters who dropped off
- 36:06mail and ballots in person at a dropbox.
- 36:08Okay so it's already going to be skewed
- 36:10low but basically the overunder
- 36:15in 2020 21 states had average weight
- 36:17times over 11 minutes and you can
- 36:19basically see it's Alabama, Delaware,
- 36:21Florida, Louisiana, Maryland,
- 36:23Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, right?
- 36:25Texas, West Virginia, and a bunch of
- 36:26these other states had low weight times.
- 36:29So, again, I'm going to see if I can
- 36:31find the longest one. Um,
- 36:45okay, here's a Reddit post from
- 36:49UT Austin.
- 36:59Yeah.
- 37:04Again,
- 37:06there's a lot of people who are just
- 37:08like, uh, whoa. Uh,
- 37:23Yeah, sorry. I'm just trying to figure
- 37:25out
- 37:26uh wait times. Oh, okay. There's no wait
- 37:29time. All right. Well, they usually I
- 37:31mean they live stream wait times, which
- 37:32I still think is a
- 37:35Let's see. Let's see if we can find
- 37:46Oh, here we go. Here we Oh, here's Pew
- 37:47Research. Okay. Okay.
- 37:51So, a third of voters had cast their
- 37:54ballot on election day. More and more
- 37:56people are voting early, right?
- 38:02Uh early voting, mailin voting.
- 38:08And
- 38:10okay, let's see. Wait times. Seven and
- 38:1310 voters who voted on election day said
- 38:16they waited less than 10 minutes, which
- 38:17is great. 42% said they didn't wait at
- 38:20all. About 30% waited at least 10
- 38:23minutes to vote. And 11% waited more
- 38:25than 30 minutes. And 4%, that's one in
- 38:2825 voters waited more than an hour to
- 38:30vote,
- 38:32which is crazy, right? Like more than an
- 38:36hour. And again, one in every 25 voters
- 38:38wait more than an hour. I think that's
- 38:40ridiculous. And in 2020, uh, shocker,
- 38:43black voters were reported waiting
- 38:45somewhat longer to vote than white or
- 38:46Hispanic voters, probably because
- 38:48they're more likely to live in, you
- 38:50know, dense urban areas.
- 38:57Again, in 2020, when Trump was president
- 38:59last time, inerson vid Biden voters
- 39:02reported longer wait times to vote than
- 39:04Trump voters.
- 39:06So again, I mean, you got to think it's
- 39:08kind of crazy to be like, "Hey, you got
- 39:09to put in more than an hour
- 39:13to exercise your franchise.
- 39:27Okay, do you guys want to talk about
- 39:29Operation Vivaldi?
- 39:31Let's crack into this one. This is this
- 39:33is this is this is too too good, too
- 39:36juicy, too important to to ignore.
- 39:40Let's do it.
- 39:44Third Assault Brigade's Operation
- 39:45Vivaldi is continuing and has rolled out
- 39:50even more retaken territory from the
- 39:52Russians. Plus, we're going to take a
- 39:54look at some combat footage of how it
- 39:56was done and the brutal reality of
- 39:59clearing operations inside of northern
- 40:03Ukraine. But before we take a look about
- 40:06that, I want to mention what you guys
- 40:07can do to support the guise of the third
- 40:10assault. So one I wanted to point out
- 40:12that operation Vivaldi is a is the term
- 40:15now for the third assault cor's efforts
- 40:19to attack this salient here in and
- 40:23around uh the Lyman area. And you can
- 40:26see that this has reportedly happened
- 40:29over the course of months. But recently
- 40:32it has become public that this effort
- 40:34was undertaken. You can see that the
- 40:37third assault confirmed last week uh
- 40:40that a series of villages were taken
- 40:41here, but now they've officially
- 40:43confirmed even larger gains targeting
- 40:46this salient. And reportedly this has
- 40:49involved flipping over 100 square
- 40:52kilometers of uh territory. And you can
- 40:55see that again this entire area looking
- 40:59like oh probably I don't know probably
- 41:02about 75 square kilometers maybe of
- 41:05retaken area including several villages
- 41:08that previously it was not even known
- 41:10that they were uh they had been
- 41:12liberated right Deralova um and Sandra
- 41:16Halovva so this is something that's
- 41:19being announced as we go but we're going
- 41:20to take a look at one operation in which
- 41:22three Russians were ka and two were
- 41:24captured near the town of Sandra Hova,
- 41:27which they call note by note. And again,
- 41:30before we do a deep dive reaction to
- 41:32this video, I wanted to mention guys
- 41:34that we have partnered with Ukraine aid
- 41:35operations, a US registered 501c3 and
- 41:38European EU registered charity uh to
- 41:41raise money for third assault. We are
- 41:44hoping to raise them some stuff for
- 41:45ground drones, which evacuate wounded
- 41:48soldiers uh through areas that no
- 41:51vehicle can go. uh components for their
- 41:53heavy logistics drones to keep forward
- 41:56positions supplied without having to
- 41:58again risk soldiers lives. Thermal and
- 42:00night optics so that uh they can operate
- 42:02247 as well as things like Starling
- 42:04terminals, batteries, chargers, and
- 42:05more. Of course, for donors, uh the
- 42:08third assaults special operations group,
- 42:10Triarium, has pledged a patch for anyone
- 42:12who donates over $200. And for if you
- 42:14donate $350 or more, you'll get both the
- 42:16Triarium patch and the overall Third
- 42:18Assault soft group patch. Uh huge thank
- 42:20you to you guys that have donated. uh
- 42:22guys like Adam donating. I literally
- 42:24don't even know what this currency is
- 42:25that he's donated in. That's how
- 42:26international this effort is. Anonymous
- 42:28dropping 5, right? Somebody could have
- 42:31gotten a coffee and said, "You know
- 42:32what? I think I'd rather see this go
- 42:35towards Third Assault, right? PJ Rodri,
- 42:38thank all thanks to all you guys that
- 42:40donate. You guys are badasses." The link
- 42:42is going to be in the description as
- 42:43always to support these guys. Okay,
- 42:46let's crack into the latest iteration of
- 42:50Operation
- 42:52more command.
- 43:03>> All right, we're trying to
- 43:07control.
- 43:10Okay, hold on. Wait. I'm going to try to
- 43:12adjust this so that you guys can see the
- 43:14bottom a little better. Oh, okay.
- 43:15Actually, we're we're we're we're all
- 43:17right here. Okay, so one I want to point
- 43:20out that as we've seen in other videos,
- 43:22this is I think reportedly actually took
- 43:24place in the summer. Let me see if I can
- 43:25find the notes here. Um,
- 43:29last fall they said. So again, we're
- 43:32looking at something that took place
- 43:33weeks and weeks ago. Um, but you can see
- 43:35that if there's foliage on the trees,
- 43:37these guys are operating these ghillie
- 43:38suits. And this is one of the things
- 43:40that makes Third Assault Third Assault
- 43:42is that they are um excellent, excellent
- 43:46uh fundraisers. They have great
- 43:48logistics. And when I talked to Third
- 43:50Assault in December after actually just
- 43:53as they were getting ready to push into
- 43:54Coupons, one of the things that they
- 43:56told us uh is that 50% of their combat
- 43:59power comes from donor raised funds,
- 44:02right? Buying drones, buying uh medical
- 44:05kits. Um again, fundraisers like what
- 44:08we're doing. And that's one of the
- 44:09things we that UAO does um is they go
- 44:12direct to the units and they don't say,
- 44:13"Hey, we got you some tourniquets or
- 44:15whatever." They say, "What do you guys
- 44:17need today? What are your most pressing
- 44:19needs that nobody else is getting you?"
- 44:21And sometimes, again, they're things
- 44:23like ground drones that take a lot of
- 44:24losses. Sometimes they're just things
- 44:26like, "Hey man, we just need more
- 44:27Starlinks." All right. We need more
- 44:30batteries. We need charging c. We need
- 44:31eco flows. So many eco flows, guys. So
- 44:34again, stuff like having these ghillie
- 44:36suits though, all of these little things
- 44:38seem like irrelevant, but in the
- 44:41aggregate, they really translate to
- 44:43greater survivability and lethality.
- 44:52So you can see just how destroyed some
- 44:54of these villages that are in these
- 44:56frontline areas are. I mean, you can
- 44:57literally see there's almost nothing
- 44:59standing here. Uh you've got this
- 45:02basically maybe this is the entrance to
- 45:05a basement. Uh
- 45:08basically three of these four walls and
- 45:10nothing else. Dude, this is a level of
- 45:13annihilation that is pretty surreal.
- 45:24[panting]
- 45:26>> Right? So you can see how they have to
- 45:28look in every one of these areas because
- 45:30if you want to survive this level of
- 45:32annihilation, this level of and remember
- 45:33the Russians are dropping bombs on this
- 45:36and FPVs and artillery, the Ukrainians
- 45:38are responding with FPVs and artillery.
- 45:40This is this is a massive this is the
- 45:44result. Like by the time infantry,
- 45:46especially Ukrainian direct assault
- 45:48infantry are in an area, the artillery
- 45:51has done its work, the drones have done
- 45:53their work. This is the final cleanup,
- 45:55the final high-risk cleanup. Because if
- 45:58you want to survive this level of
- 46:01destruction, you've got to be buried
- 46:02underground. You've got to be hidden
- 46:03underground. And you can see how
- 46:06literally even these little sistns
- 46:09because they are set in the ground, they
- 46:11actually are extremely survivable.
- 46:17But there's only one way to get Russian
- 46:20infantry out of those positions, and
- 46:21that is to send a human being with a
- 46:24rifle to clear them out.
- 46:49Okay. So, I want to point out this is
- 46:51actually what he's adjusting. He's just
- 46:53turning on his CCO, his close combat
- 46:55optic. And this is one of the things
- 46:56that I talk about is that when you're
- 46:59operating in these forward positions,
- 47:00logistics is so difficult that often
- 47:04times you don't want to burn out your
- 47:07batteries needlessly. And these CCOs's,
- 47:09these close combat optics, um, you know,
- 47:12if they're styled after the M68 or
- 47:13whatever, they run off of little
- 47:15batteries. And you don't want to, the
- 47:18last thing you want is to be in an
- 47:21engagement and be like, "Oh, I have no
- 47:23batteries." But that means you have to
- 47:24be kind of conservative with it. It's
- 47:26also worth noting that in a lot of these
- 47:29operations, what I've seen of infantry
- 47:31engagements, they're either they're very
- 47:34very very close and you're a lot of
- 47:38times firing would appear to be
- 47:40intuitively and this is something that
- 47:42we were trained on in in Afghanistan,
- 47:44you know, to a lesser extent, like a
- 47:46more a less refined version. Uh the
- 47:49tactics are now very different, but the
- 47:51idea is that you're shooting based on
- 47:53feel. You're not actually like looking
- 47:55down a sight picture, closing one eye,
- 47:58looking and being like, "Oh, perfect
- 48:00target alignment. Breathe and squeeze."
- 48:02Right? When you're talking about
- 48:05somebody on the other side of the room,
- 48:07you're just supposed to feel it. You're
- 48:08supposed to just raise the rifle. You
- 48:10almost use your hands to give you a
- 48:12sense of about where the person is
- 48:14because you don't need to be laser
- 48:15accurate. You need to be able to hit a
- 48:17torsosized target at 10, 15, 20 ft away.
- 48:22And so that means that you often times
- 48:25don't even really the red dot site is
- 48:27like a minor helper to putting rounds
- 48:31where you need them.
- 48:34>> So again, he's now saying like, listen,
- 48:37let's get this on. Let's turn this thing
- 48:38on.
- 48:53Okay, this is crazy, right? So, they've
- 48:55identified these guys are here and
- 48:56literally they found cables and possibly
- 48:59possibly cables leading to an antenna or
- 49:02to a almost certainly an antenna. Um, I
- 49:06guess maybe it's possible, but you can
- 49:08see they're following the cables up to
- 49:10this roof.
- 49:14corner.
- 49:28>> Okay, so these are actually civilians.
- 49:30All right, so it wasn't an antenna. It
- 49:32was probably something else, but they
- 49:33appear to be living in basically a
- 49:34makeshift bomb shelter. This is uh
- 49:39[ __ ] crazy. And this is one of the
- 49:40things that again if you've been to
- 49:41Ukraine, you're like there are some
- 49:43people that just do not leave these
- 49:45places that just some of it from from
- 49:48from what I've heard is that a lot of
- 49:50people they view their house as not just
- 49:52their their biggest investment but in
- 49:54some cases their only investment. They
- 49:56go listen I have this paidoff house. I
- 49:58have everything I own all my physical
- 50:00possessions in the house and that is
- 50:02everything that I have acrewed all the
- 50:04wealth that I've acquired over my
- 50:05lifetime. And then they get told, "Hey,
- 50:09you've got to evacuate your house and
- 50:11you can only carry two backpacks of
- 50:13stuff." And they say, "No, like I have
- 50:16this very valuable
- 50:18collections, very like the land itself
- 50:20is valuable, and if I leave, someone is
- 50:22going to come in and take over my
- 50:24house."
- 50:27>> So they say, "I'll stay in I'll stay in
- 50:29this makeshift bomb shelter as long as
- 50:30needed.
- 50:41He's like, "How old's your daughter?"
- 50:42"2." He's like, "I'm 23, dude."
- 50:46Yeah. You tell them.
- 50:47>> It's a reminder. That's that. I mean,
- 50:49that's Sometimes I look at these guys
- 50:50and I feel like they're like my age,
- 50:52like 40 and or nearly 40. Um, but I
- 50:56remember like the guy the Paul that went
- 50:58to Afghanistan was also just 23.
- 51:04If we evacuate, we'll be homeless.
- 51:12>> All the clothes, shoes, tools,
- 51:14everything. Yeah, don't kid yourself.
- 51:16Like, owning a bunch of tools, again, we
- 51:18may think to ourselves, all the tools,
- 51:20all your farm tools or whatever, they're
- 51:22what, a,000 bucks? That's a lot of money
- 51:26to to a rural, impoverished Ukrainian.
- 51:41He's like, "You b I was born a slave,
- 51:43you know, and and that's the idea." He's
- 51:44like, "Listen, I was born into extreme
- 51:46extreme endemic poverty and you're just
- 51:50like, listen, I've I've you know, I've
- 51:54acquired these these material
- 51:56possessions over my lifetime and they're
- 51:57all I have." Again, you have to like
- 52:02you have to understand a little bit of
- 52:04like I think there is a mentality among
- 52:08people who have been like you got to
- 52:10think this guy probably
- 52:12was a peasant worker, a peasant farmer.
- 52:17His his ancestors going back probably
- 52:192,000 years were peasant farmers. So,
- 52:22the idea of being like, "Oh, well, why
- 52:25didn't you just buy uh stocks or
- 52:28investment properties or why don't you
- 52:30save your money in a bank?" They're
- 52:31like, "A [ __ ] bank? For 2,000 years,
- 52:33my family has had wealth in one thing,
- 52:35which is agricultural production
- 52:38implements, like tools and land and
- 52:42sheep and goats and goose, and like
- 52:44that's it. That is what wealth is to
- 52:45us." They're like, "I'm a I'm a I'm a
- 52:48surf." You know, we're using the word
- 52:49slave. He's like, "I'm a surf, dude.
- 52:51Surf's wealth is in this form.
- 53:15damn they've been living at 167 days
- 53:17which is crazy cuz that's a long time
- 53:20for a Ukrainian soldier to be in
- 53:23position and and they he gets resupply.
- 53:41Okay, he says sky's is not clear. Skies
- 53:42not clear. Same drones still circling.
- 53:44This is something else that um
- 53:48that is quintessential if you want to
- 53:49infill or xfill from a position. every
- 53:52single Ukrainian soldier I talked to was
- 53:53like you have to wait until the weather
- 53:55is good and weather good weather for
- 53:58good weather for infiltrating or
- 54:00exfiltrating um is uh the exact opposite
- 54:03of good weather for drones. So I mean
- 54:06just think intuitively what would be the
- 54:08circumstances where you would never ever
- 54:09want to fly an expensive drone. Uh heavy
- 54:12rain, heavy dense fog, um extremely high
- 54:16winds. That's what you wait for. You
- 54:19wait for that time. And so he says,
- 54:20"Listen, there's not enough rain. The
- 54:22sky is not clear. You still got a drone
- 54:24circling. And if they get spotted by a
- 54:26reconnaissance drone, a Russian
- 54:28reconnaissance drone, the FPV drones or
- 54:30artillery will fire very shortly.
- 54:44>> [laughter]
- 54:57>> Okay, I actually really appreciate this
- 54:58scene. Um, because a lot of times we get
- 55:02these highlight reels of like clearing
- 55:03operations, like the really high octane
- 55:05part. Um, but what you forget is that is
- 55:08that if you want to have a successful
- 55:10operation, sometimes you just need a
- 55:12bunch of people on call. Like I will
- 55:14tell you, even in my deployment to
- 55:16Afghanistan, at least once a month,
- 55:19sometimes more, we would just get a
- 55:20PowerPoint and it would say, "Listen, an
- 55:22unnamed special operations unit is going
- 55:24to it requests that you set up a vehicle
- 55:28patrol base at this grid coordinate.
- 55:30turn your radios to this frequency and
- 55:34um uh if you receive a call from this
- 55:37call sign um you're going to proceed to
- 55:41to along this route to this grid
- 55:43coordinate you're going to link up with
- 55:44them and you're going to provide any
- 55:45support they need and that's all you
- 55:47ever know. So what did that mean? That
- 55:49meant that for 12 between 12 and 24
- 55:51hours that's what we did. We drove out
- 55:53into the desert somewhere. We circled
- 55:55our vehicles and we turned our radio
- 55:57frequencies on and then we just did what
- 55:59these guys do. You sit around and you
- 56:01just [ __ ] and you go, you think
- 56:03they're going to need us and you go,
- 56:04"Nope." And you know what? Never once,
- 56:05not once did we have to go support those
- 56:07guys. But they just wanted to have
- 56:09because they had their own backup. We
- 56:10were the backups backup, you know, and
- 56:12and that was what they said. They said,
- 56:13"Listen, we just want the backups back
- 56:15up.
- 56:27There you go.
- 56:29[music]
- 56:46Yeah, this is the other thing is that
- 56:48sometimes you just end up in this like
- 56:49chunk of the world. Like you get this
- 56:51little corner of the universe and you
- 56:52just know it so well. And it's also one
- 56:55of the things that like like I could
- 56:57still probably navigate around my AO,
- 57:01especially Shininoir and Nazian like
- 57:04like like it was yesterday cuz you just
- 57:06think you got to think like for months
- 57:09and months and months you just drive the
- 57:11exact same roads over and over and over.
- 57:14It's like it's like the neighborhood you
- 57:16grew up in as a kid, you know? Like
- 57:18imagine just being like, "Hey, you just
- 57:21you just like develop this like sense of
- 57:23everything there." But the problem is
- 57:26that it it can lull you into a false
- 57:28sense of complacency because like the
- 57:32human mind, the more times it drives the
- 57:34same exact road where nothing is ever
- 57:37any different,
- 57:38the the more you relax. But the more you
- 57:41relax, you don't realize that again, the
- 57:44drones don't care if you've driven once
- 57:47or twice or three times or 10 times. And
- 57:49I I can tell you that's happened to us
- 57:51right when I was deployed. You would
- 57:52drive a road that you driven a million
- 57:54times. But this time, somebody was
- 57:57waiting for you. Somebody had placed an
- 57:58IED in a in a in a in a in a wall or
- 58:02somebody the Taliban had set up an
- 58:04ambush right during at a key
- 58:05intersection, right? Like they know it.
- 58:09[music]
- 58:19>> [music]
- 58:20>> Okay.
- 58:51Yeah, that's the problem is that as he
- 58:53points out like every one of those
- 58:55villages, every one of those buildings,
- 58:57every multiple places within a building
- 58:59could have enem just kind of dug into
- 59:01them and you got to dig them out slowly
- 59:03and systematically. And the bigger
- 59:04problem is that remember it it's not
- 59:07just about digging them out. This is why
- 59:08clearing operations were so hard. And
- 59:12again, one of the themes that we I think
- 59:13we harp on in on this channel is that if
- 59:15you knew where to look, everything that
- 59:17makes the modern war of Ukraine uh so
- 59:21hard were also things or aspects that um
- 59:25made defeating the Taliban and the Iraqi
- 59:27insurgents impossible for the US
- 59:29military. And one of the reasons is that
- 59:31if you want to clear like a a village,
- 59:33right? Let's say you want to clear this
- 59:35building or this this represents a city
- 59:37block and you go, "Okay, we're going to
- 59:39clear every building from from front to
- 59:41back." Well, what happens? Well, you get
- 59:44here, maybe you clear out one of these
- 59:46insurgents here, right? You start and
- 59:48the insurgent goes, "Oh no, they're
- 59:49coming for us." And then they hop out
- 59:51and they hop around and then you keep
- 59:53clearing. You keep clearing. You keep
- 59:54clearing
- 59:56and then they leave and they hop back to
- 59:59the area you cleared. So suddenly you
- 1:00:01go, "I already cleared that building."
- 1:00:02What do you mean we're taking fire from
- 1:00:03it? I cleared it yesterday. And they go,
- 1:00:05"Well, in the day that you've been out,
- 1:00:08the enemy moved back in." So now you
- 1:00:11have to clear and hold and clear and
- 1:00:14hold and it takes so many people and it
- 1:00:17takes so much tech and it takes 24 You
- 1:00:19got to think. Basically, you have to
- 1:00:21clear a building and then you have to
- 1:00:22have a drone watch it 24/7 or another
- 1:00:25person occupy it 24/7. It's so hard.
- 1:00:31What'sch?
- 1:01:02I want to point out this is this is
- 1:01:04really interesting. Let's back it up for
- 1:01:05a sec. Um there's there's two
- 1:01:08interesting aspects. The first is this
- 1:01:09weapon. This is actually an anti- drone
- 1:01:11shotgun. Um you can literally see it's
- 1:01:13loaded with 12 or I think 20 or 12 gauge
- 1:01:16shells. And you load it and it's got a
- 1:01:20uh like a a site designed to target and
- 1:01:22shoot down drones. It is one of the
- 1:01:25things that I've seen people move away
- 1:01:26from these specialty shotguns is
- 1:01:28reportedly because they sometimes when
- 1:01:31they hit the drone, the drone is so
- 1:01:33close to you that it actually detonates.
- 1:01:35There's there's another note that I want
- 1:01:37to take about this from this guy and
- 1:01:39that is his body armor. He This is
- 1:01:42unique in that he's not wearing a plate
- 1:01:43carrier. Do you notice that he's got
- 1:01:45it's got plate carrier like
- 1:01:46characteristics, but it's not. It looks
- 1:01:49more like an IBA, an interceptor, body
- 1:01:51armor, or um an improved outer tactical
- 1:01:53vest. This is all Kevlar here. I think
- 1:01:56this is a lot of Kevlar. And this this
- 1:02:01wrapping the person in 360° of of of
- 1:02:04protection, protecting the entirety of
- 1:02:06the torso down to the stomach um is is a
- 1:02:12superior design uh to preventing
- 1:02:16um uh the shrapnel wounds. I mean, you
- 1:02:20got to think because so the shrapnel of
- 1:02:22a drone or of an artillery strike, that
- 1:02:24is what's more likely that produces
- 1:02:26something like 85 90% of casualties in
- 1:02:28this war. So those guys who are doing
- 1:02:30clearing operations, yes, they're going
- 1:02:32to want plate carriers. They're
- 1:02:33lightweight. They protect you against
- 1:02:34rifle fire. Um, but this guy's probably
- 1:02:38never going to have a rifle encounter
- 1:02:40with the enemy. He's, I imagine,
- 1:02:42potentially like a like a drone pilot.
- 1:02:44So for him, the risk of of shrapnel
- 1:02:47wounds is way greater. So he wants this
- 1:02:49soft armor that wraps around his entire
- 1:02:52body.
- 1:03:24Okay. I I I really appreciate the fact
- 1:03:27they included all this like screwing
- 1:03:29around. You just don't understand. Uh uh
- 1:03:33screwing around in a war zone is the
- 1:03:35core one of the core soldier activities.
- 1:03:37Dude, you got to blow off steam, man.
- 1:03:39You can't,
- 1:03:40>> bro.
- 1:03:47[laughter]
- 1:03:52>> [snorts]
- 1:04:11>> These guys are very very disciplined.
- 1:04:13You see there's they are head to toe
- 1:04:15covered in the ghillie suits.
- 1:04:22Jesus Christ, that's terrifying to be
- 1:04:24like that close. The enemy hasn't
- 1:04:26spotted you and they're coughing. That
- 1:04:28is crazy close.
- 1:04:47Uh-huh.
- 1:04:52They're not a volunteer. There are there
- 1:04:53are almost no people who are not
- 1:04:55volunteers. I want to point that out. Uh
- 1:04:58this is just kind of a joke. Um
- 1:05:02also love that's also a trope. The
- 1:05:04Ukrainians would always just be like,
- 1:05:05"Yeah, every Russian says the same
- 1:05:07[ __ ] thing. I was only here two
- 1:05:09weeks. Uh I never I I didn't even fire
- 1:05:12my rifle. Um I was I was arrested and
- 1:05:15forced to come." like everything
- 1:05:18everything to like not assume
- 1:05:19responsibility for this and to be clear
- 1:05:21some of those are true but they are not
- 1:05:23there's no way they are true for all
- 1:05:25soldiers and you know it's a joke that
- 1:05:27guys will be like super kitted up
- 1:05:28obviously highly trained and they'll be
- 1:05:30like I'm a farmer who just signed up two
- 1:05:32weeks ago and and meanwhile they have
- 1:05:34this like super geared out like
- 1:05:35perfectly set up rifle and they're like
- 1:05:37nah dude
- 1:06:04as we've talked about, they don't like
- 1:06:06the Russians, but they exchange them for
- 1:06:08Ukrainians. They get intelligence from
- 1:06:09them. And uh reportedly about up to one
- 1:06:13in 10 of these Russians have such a
- 1:06:16awful experience with the Russian
- 1:06:17military and and have like a real sthing
- 1:06:20hatred of their commanders um that they
- 1:06:22agree to fight for the Russian Volunteer
- 1:06:23Corps. They agree to switch sides and
- 1:06:25fight for Ukraine. And like, yeah, the
- 1:06:28Russian Volunteer Corps is kind of run
- 1:06:29by some real trash bags, but um that
- 1:06:33doesn't change the fact that many of
- 1:06:35these Russians like the experience of
- 1:06:37fighting fighting for the Russian
- 1:06:39military, it is one of the only
- 1:06:41militaries on earth that will make you
- 1:06:42less patriotic for serving in it, like
- 1:06:44actually. But that's a a testament to
- 1:06:47being an authoritarian.
- 1:07:05You see that? He's literally like, "Oh,
- 1:07:07yeah. You going to fight for us?" He's
- 1:07:08like, "Yeah, yeah, I'll help you guys
- 1:07:09out." He's like, "Why?" Like, I h I I
- 1:07:13have no [ __ ] water, dude. I got sent
- 1:07:15here to die of thirst. Like, [ __ ] these
- 1:07:19guys. Like, I want to kill my commander.
- 1:07:21Like personally,
- 1:07:48All right. That's [ __ ] crazy that
- 1:07:50your firing position is a dead Russian.
- 1:07:53Jesus. That's That's some hardcore [ __ ]
- 1:07:57All right. I don't know what else to
- 1:07:58tell you.
- 1:08:09You may be like, "Why are they so mad?"
- 1:08:11Probably because uh this dead Russian
- 1:08:15tried to kill them. And if you've ever
- 1:08:17been in a gunfight, you are so [ __ ]
- 1:08:20keyed up. And by the way, they are not
- 1:08:22out of the gunfight. I want to make that
- 1:08:23clear. If there are two dudes
- 1:08:25surrendering and there are three alive,
- 1:08:27that means one of them is maybe trying
- 1:08:30to position themselves to ambush them.
- 1:08:49Goodman. Goodman.
- 1:09:04Okay.
- 1:09:06Damn. I just want to point this out. It
- 1:09:08says, "Russian soldier, when you
- 1:09:09surrender, do not make any sudden or
- 1:09:11suspicious movements. follow the
- 1:09:12instructions of the Ukrainian fighters
- 1:09:13to the letter. A provocative action by
- 1:09:14just one of you could cost the lives of
- 1:09:15everyone who's chosen to live. Uh yeah,
- 1:09:18that's that's the problem. And by the
- 1:09:19way, this is also something that that US
- 1:09:21law enforcement is routinely trained on
- 1:09:23is that like sudden movements, people
- 1:09:26reaching for guns, like I mean, if you
- 1:09:29ever watch like body cam footage, you
- 1:09:30see that even civilian police routinely
- 1:09:32deal with this where people go, "Hey,
- 1:09:34I'm just going to get my I'm just going
- 1:09:35to get this out of the glove box." Bam.
- 1:09:37Right? Uh you know, oh, I'm just going
- 1:09:40to get my documents. And then they pull
- 1:09:41a grenade and throw it. It it you like
- 1:09:45this.
- 1:09:47That is why you're like, "Oh, wow. Why
- 1:09:49are those guys keyed up?" Because of
- 1:09:50[ __ ] like this.
- 1:10:05Oh, when he says be careful, also worth
- 1:10:07noting is that it is not uncommon to
- 1:10:10have grenades with the pins pulled and
- 1:10:13um the you know
- 1:10:16a a soldier is shot, they fall, their
- 1:10:17body falls, but you could still have the
- 1:10:20grenade in the in the body's hand. It
- 1:10:22could be pinned under the body and so
- 1:10:24that if you move it even a little bit,
- 1:10:26the grenade could uh the fuse could
- 1:10:28trigger and it could go off. It's very
- 1:10:30dangerous.
- 1:10:46Now again, you see this? They're like,
- 1:10:48"Whoa, a rainbow." And why? Because they
- 1:10:51are coming home after a rainstorm, just
- 1:10:54like we talked about. Anyway guys, I'm
- 1:10:55going to drop a link in the uh
- 1:10:58description obviously to help our third
- 1:11:01assault the fundraiser. Also a huge
- 1:11:03thank you to guys like Alfred Allen,
- 1:11:04Andreas, Bastion, Brent, Brendan,
- 1:11:06Charles, Christine. Um check to make
- 1:11:08sure you're still subscribed to the
- 1:11:09channel. That that really does make a
- 1:11:10difference for us. Um
- 1:11:14and yeah. Okay. Uh wait, I see you guys
- 1:11:16there.
- 1:11:19Oh. Oh, looks like we got more [ __ ]
- 1:11:24trolls. Very cool, guys. Very cool.
- 1:11:31You know, I got a question for the
- 1:11:32Russian like I always wonder the Russian
- 1:11:34trolls. Like, you guys have access to
- 1:11:35chat bots, man. Why not be do troll chat
- 1:11:38bots? Hey, Cams, do you think Russia
- 1:11:39attacks NATO? Europe may gun for
- 1:11:42Keningrad. It seems like a hard place to
- 1:11:43defend. Soldiers there are not ready for
- 1:11:45drones. Listen, what Europe what Russia
- 1:11:48is going to do the one thing what they
- 1:11:50don't want is to create a clear decisive
- 1:11:55um instance in which Europe is attacked
- 1:11:59right they don't like the worst case
- 1:12:02scenario for them is a Europe 911 where
- 1:12:04European countries collectively say this
- 1:12:07was an attack this is beyond the pale we
- 1:12:10have to respond and the public goes yes
- 1:12:12we support this right
- 1:12:15um uh
- 1:12:19they are going to use hybrid attacks um
- 1:12:22plausible deniability. They're going to
- 1:12:24actually use their military um their
- 1:12:28their geopolitical like their propaganda
- 1:12:32and their social media influence
- 1:12:33campaigns to obscure what really
- 1:12:35happened. So, for example, um they'll
- 1:12:39say something like, let's say a drone
- 1:12:40hits a a civilian German aircraft and
- 1:12:43kills 200 people. And the German
- 1:12:45government goes, we know this was a
- 1:12:47Russian drone. Um we are fully
- 1:12:49mobilizing. The Russian propaganda
- 1:12:51machine will um go into overdrive and
- 1:12:54it'll say, "No, this was actually done
- 1:12:56by Ukrainians. It was actually done by
- 1:13:00um uh pick your pick your poison
- 1:13:02immigrants." They'll say, "Oh, it was
- 1:13:04immigrants. It was ISIS." Um they'll
- 1:13:06they'll maybe make something up and
- 1:13:08they'll be like, "Oh, the German
- 1:13:08government knew it was immigrants. It
- 1:13:10knew it was Muslims, but they they are
- 1:13:13used they're they're pretending it's
- 1:13:14Russian because you can't criticize
- 1:13:16immigrants cuz they own Germany or
- 1:13:18something like playing on existing fault
- 1:13:20lines. They'll have a bunch of different
- 1:13:22narratives that will that that different
- 1:13:26subgroups within the country will be
- 1:13:28primed to hear. And what that will do is
- 1:13:30prevent political consensus on any kind
- 1:13:33of response. Right?
- 1:13:36[snorts]
- 1:13:38So I think that's the plan actually.
- 1:13:48All right guys. Um that's going to be it
- 1:13:50for me for today. Uh I got to you know
- 1:13:54cook dinner and do some stuff. Um but
- 1:13:56I'm going to catch you guys thank
- 1:13:58tomorrow. Uh, thanks so much and I'll
- 1:14:01see you guys uh in the next one.
