- 0:35Speaker 2: Paul Anka, what great music. Now there was talent, And
- 0:40Speaker 2: I just want mentioned real quick. My sister was on
- 0:44Speaker 2: American Bandstand with Dick Clark and she met Neil Sedaka
- 0:48Speaker 2: and he actually asked her out, and my stupid sister
- 0:52Speaker 2: said no, Yeah, so there was my per What a dope. Yeah,
- 0:56Speaker 2: so there's my in. You know, I could have been
- 0:59Speaker 2: you know, I have a decent boys. I can say.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I could have been somebody. But now just another bum
- 1:06Speaker 2: walking around a Polucaville.
- 1:09Speaker 1: He's quoting from on the waterfront. But yeah, I mean
- 1:13Speaker 1: I hate well, actually, let me think now. Neil Sidaka,
- 1:16Speaker 1: the love of his life was his wife, Liba Liba Sidaka,
- 1:19Speaker 1: whose family owned the big hotel in the Catskills where
- 1:22Speaker 1: a very young Neil Sidaka worked and met her there.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So I think he might have wanted to go out
- 1:29Speaker 1: with your sister, But I think he was already on
- 1:31Speaker 1: the way to marrying Liba Siedaka even even back then.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I wanted to mention Neil Sidaka. But just one thing
- 1:44Speaker 3: before that, one way to Democra. The Republicans could modify
- 1:47Speaker 3: the Democrat to just say that Komane was in the
- 1:50Speaker 3: Epstein files.
- 1:52Speaker 1: He could have been.
- 1:55Speaker 3: But yeah, you know the other thing about Sadaka, other
- 1:58Speaker 3: than is obviously I'm not telling how far be you
- 2:01Speaker 3: for me to tell you, but all the songs he
- 2:03Speaker 3: wrote for others, you know, I mean being a member
- 2:05Speaker 3: of the Brill building and that that whole crowd over
- 2:08Speaker 3: there is quite remarkable.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah, he wrote, he wrote the Love Will Keep Us Together,
- 2:14Speaker 1: a huge hit for the Captain and to Neo. What
- 2:17Speaker 1: else I'm trying? What else did he write?
- 2:19Speaker 3: He wrote for Connie Francis.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, of course, I'm sorry.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Now do you know that the biggest song did one
- 2:25Speaker 3: of his songs.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Well, that's a long story. Sinatra started to sing The
- 2:28Speaker 1: Hungry Years and concert and it was a it was
- 2:33Speaker 1: a very touching, very serious ballad from Neil Sidaka about
- 2:37Speaker 1: he and his wife when they struggled when they were poor,
- 2:39Speaker 1: the Hungry Years, and it was all about how he
- 2:41Speaker 1: misses the Hungry Years. And Sinatra started to sing it
- 2:44Speaker 1: in concert and then dropped it after a few weeks,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and Neil Sidaka asked me once, could you ask Sinatra
- 2:50Speaker 1: why he dropped us?
- 2:51Speaker 3: And I asked him, and imagine, that's a beautiful song.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It's beautifully written. He said, I didn't understand the song.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I didn't get it. He said, you missed the hungry Yers.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I miss when we were poor. He missed when we
- 3:06Speaker 1: lived in this little apartment. Moved back there.
- 3:09Speaker 4: You just go back.
- 3:12Speaker 3: It's so Sinatra, it's funny.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, thanks for calling. There was another song.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It was a huge hit Barbara streisand People nineteen sixty four.
- 3:21Speaker 1: It was the biggest hit in the world. People who
- 3:23Speaker 1: need People are the luckiest people in the world. And
- 3:27Speaker 1: Sinatra had always sing the current. We would never sing
- 3:29Speaker 1: it and they asked him why. He said, I don't
- 3:30Speaker 1: understand the song. People who need people are the luckiest people.
- 3:35Speaker 1: What the hell does it mean? And he was right.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Let's go to uh Rich and Myrtle beach Rich. How
- 3:40Speaker 1: you doing, Hey?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Thanks?
- 3:42Speaker 3: Mark?
- 3:42Speaker 2: You know, Neil Saidakh was also good friends with Arthur Spooner.
- 3:45Speaker 3: On the King of Queens towards the Yeah, Jerry, that's series.
- 3:49Speaker 1: One, Jerry still Yeah, we'll talk about Neil Sadaka and
- 3:52Speaker 1: the next hour we'll get to him. He was a
- 3:53Speaker 1: real New York guy. He lived right over there, fifty
- 3:55Speaker 1: eighth in Park. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 3:59Speaker 1: how you doing, Good.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Morning, Mark, I'm okay, Mark. Thanks for talking about all
- 4:05Speaker 4: the people in the United States who were celebrating the
- 4:10Speaker 4: offering of the Komany Mark, That's nothing compared to what
- 4:15Speaker 4: they were doing in Europe. In Europe, they were processions
- 4:21Speaker 4: celebrating Commaney getting whacked. That in Paris looked like they
- 4:27Speaker 4: were blocks and blocks and blocks long, carrying the old
- 4:31Speaker 4: Iranian flag, Notani, the new Iranian flag, the murderer's flag.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Also in Italy, in London, and in Greece, and these
- 4:41Speaker 4: people were speaking. None of them had towels on their
- 4:44Speaker 4: head like the whack jobs, the green haired monsters with
- 4:48Speaker 4: the nose rigs who were protesting in Times Square and
- 4:53Speaker 4: mark these people they copied George Sorows. They immediately had
- 4:58Speaker 4: these massive made up with the picture of Donald Trump
- 5:04Speaker 4: and pe Levy's son that they want to go start
- 5:07Speaker 4: the interim government. And their new slogan is right from
- 5:11Speaker 4: Donald Trump, make Iran great again. Mega. And it shows
- 5:17Speaker 4: a profile of Donald Trump looking forward and at his
- 5:20Speaker 4: side pe Levy's son and on the need, it says, Mega.
- 5:25Speaker 4: And I'm telling you Marked, the celebrations in Italy and
- 5:30Speaker 4: Greece and Paris were massive.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All right, Well, Vincent, that's great to know. Excellent call,
- 5:35Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Yeah, we'll get to a Pavlovi. It's
- 5:39Speaker 1: the son of the Chavaran who's been leading, you know
- 5:42Speaker 1: the way. He wants to go back and run the country.
- 5:45Speaker 1: From what I hear, they don't want him to. They
- 5:47Speaker 1: love him, but he hasn't been in the country in
- 5:48Speaker 1: forty seven years. You need somebody who knows what's going
- 5:51Speaker 1: on over there. Hey, when we come back to the
- 5:53Speaker 1: brilliant calumnist Liz Peak, we'll be with us next and
- 5:57Speaker 1: we'll talk to her about all of this coming up,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but first on Savent ten w o r
