- 5:31Speaker 5: G Podcast. We are here, you're here. Let's get into
- 5:36Speaker 5: a good show. We got some sports stuff to talk
- 5:38Speaker 5: about and a little bit of entertainment stuff to talk about.
- 5:40Speaker 5: To day two. Let's get it kicked off and let's
- 5:43Speaker 5: talk AFL. Let's talk about week two of the preseason.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Caleb Williams looked amazing in his first drive of the
- 5:53Speaker 5: preseason looked amazing in that one. You look good in
- 5:56Speaker 5: the second drive too, but a big drop by I
- 5:59Speaker 5: believe it Will was Was it dj More or was
- 6:02Speaker 5: it no Roma Dunsay? Roma Dunsay had a really good
- 6:06Speaker 5: pass to him on the second drive, would have been
- 6:09Speaker 5: a first down and kept the drive going, and he
- 6:11Speaker 5: missed it right in his hand. If Romadonsay wants to
- 6:15Speaker 5: have a great career in the NFL, he has to
- 6:18Speaker 5: make those type of catches. If he wants to be
- 6:23Speaker 5: the number two guy for the Bears, he needs to
- 6:26Speaker 5: make those catches. Caleb was odd point for the two
- 6:30Speaker 5: drives last week. It was amazing. He looked like a
- 6:35Speaker 5: totally different quarterback from year one to year two. And
- 6:40Speaker 5: that is the difference that a year makes at new
- 6:44Speaker 5: coaches because having a real coach compared to a coach
- 6:49Speaker 5: that I wouldn't trust with a little league team. You know,
- 6:53Speaker 5: it's like night and day. But we'll talk about the
- 6:56Speaker 5: Bears in a few minutes. I'm gonna go in and
- 6:58Speaker 5: we're gonna talk about two of the pre seasons. Let
- 7:03Speaker 5: me go on my ESPN app. We'll get that. If
- 7:07Speaker 5: I'm gonna let you go.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I'm gonna long and round and he's hurt you, then
- 7:13Speaker 4: I'm gonna make you time. I'm gonna say good, N'm
- 7:18Speaker 4: gonna tail.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Lie, hurt you.
- 7:22Speaker 6: We ring on each other as long you not sparing
- 7:28Speaker 6: aching do don't just shut just say it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Because how people know what's busy. We're going we rule
- 7:36Speaker 1: the game out there.
- 7:37Speaker 7: I'm gonna play.
- 7:41Speaker 1: If you ask me out the feed, don't tell me
- 7:45Speaker 1: you to do. You see there, I'm gonna gage you
- 7:49Speaker 1: and i'm gonna.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Let you down and I'm gonna all abound and you
- 7:54Speaker 4: hurt you and I'm gonna make your time.
- 7:58Speaker 1: If I'm gonna say good bye and I'm gonna say.
- 8:02Speaker 6: And hurt you.
- 8:04Speaker 7: They were gonna give you, They're gonna know you. We're
- 8:09Speaker 7: gonna go you down and hurt.
- 8:12Speaker 4: You there, we're gonna make you the we're gonna say
- 8:16Speaker 4: good and I'm gonna tell you.
- 8:19Speaker 2: And hurt you.
- 8:21Speaker 5: Know, breaking the lot. So what comes about that, I'm saying.
- 8:30Speaker 8: We're gonna give me, We're gonna give me. I think
- 8:35Speaker 8: I'm gonna give me, Lo're gonna give me.
- 8:37Speaker 7: That's out.
- 8:38Speaker 5: But that's what's gonna come.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Going to each other and i was like, you got
- 8:44Speaker 1: about you just showing him a lot of funs after sefore,
- 8:49Speaker 1: what's been going.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Already?
- 8:52Speaker 7: Go man, you're writing play? Yeah, I just know I'm
- 8:57Speaker 7: gonna tell you a.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Man.
- 9:01Speaker 2: God.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Another Friday game was.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Set seventy.
- 9:31Speaker 7: The Sill let you keep him over Panther.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Sunday four, there was the Dolphins over the Lions twenty
- 9:48Speaker 5: four to seventeen. It was the forty Diners winning twenty
- 9:52Speaker 5: two to nineteen over the Raiders. The Buccaneers won seventeen
- 9:55Speaker 5: to fourteen over the Steelers. The Ravens beat the Cowboys
- 10:00Speaker 5: thirty one to thirteen. The Giants beat the Jets thirty
- 10:03Speaker 5: one to twelve. The Rams won twenty three to twenty
- 10:07Speaker 5: two over the Chargers, and then the Broncos beat the
- 10:11Speaker 5: Cardinals twenty seven to seven. And then, of course, last Sunday,
- 10:16Speaker 5: it was the Jaguars and Saints finishing in a seventeen tie,
- 10:20Speaker 5: and the Bears and the Bills. Bears whooped the Bills
- 10:23Speaker 5: ass thirty eight to zero. In that game, Bitch Trubisky
- 10:30Speaker 5: threw fifty five yards on seven to thirteen. He didn't
- 10:34Speaker 5: get sacked and all in that game. That's pretty decent
- 10:38Speaker 5: Frank Gore Junior ran eight times for fifty one yards
- 10:42Speaker 5: for Buffalo. He also received four of them for thirty yards.
- 10:48Speaker 5: Of course, there was no touchdowns on that side for
- 10:50Speaker 5: the Bears. Caleb Williams came in first. He threw six
- 10:54Speaker 5: to ten one hundred and seven yards, one touchdown, no sex.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Tyson Beagen came in second, through thirteen for twenty two
- 11:04Speaker 5: one hundred and ninety six yards on one touchdown. He
- 11:07Speaker 5: was sacked one time for a twelve yard loss, and
- 11:10Speaker 5: then Austin Reid finished the game out. He was six
- 11:13Speaker 5: for seven. He had sixty six yards, no touchdowns, zero sacks,
- 11:18Speaker 5: nag for him too, so not bad altogether. The Bears
- 11:22Speaker 5: through three hundred and fifty seven yards, two touchdowns, one sec.
- 11:28Speaker 5: That's a good offensive line. The offensive line was holding them.
- 11:32Speaker 5: But number one that I'm looking at not just the
- 11:36Speaker 5: offensive line holding guys back and doing their job, but
- 11:40Speaker 5: the quarterbacks between Kleb Tyson and Austin Reid getting rid
- 11:46Speaker 5: of the ball quick. That's exactly what they did the
- 11:50Speaker 5: entire game, getting rid of the ball as fast as possible,
- 11:54Speaker 5: no holding onto the ball. You look at your reads,
- 11:57Speaker 5: you know where you're gonna go. Would you drop a
- 11:59Speaker 5: player and you're calling a playout, you should know what
- 12:03Speaker 5: receiver you're thinking of first, first look at him, second read,
- 12:07Speaker 5: third read, boom. You don't see nobody open, no tight ends.
- 12:10Speaker 5: While you're skinning the field, you get rid of the ball,
- 12:13Speaker 5: throw it out of bounds, or you run a takeoff
- 12:15Speaker 5: and pick up some yards. If you see somebody open, boom,
- 12:18Speaker 5: take it. You know what, It doesn't have to be
- 12:21Speaker 5: a forty yard pass every time. If you see somebody
- 12:25Speaker 5: open for ten yards, five yards, two yards, you take it.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Positive yards are what matters in the NFL. It doesn't
- 12:34Speaker 5: matter what else you did. Ian Wheeler had nineteen carries
- 12:38Speaker 5: eighty yards, two touchdowns. If people watched last year Hard
- 12:43Speaker 5: Knocks with the Bears, Ian Wheeler was a rookie last year.
- 12:47Speaker 5: He came in, he was doing really good in preseason
- 12:50Speaker 5: and then he tore I believe his ACL or MCL
- 12:54Speaker 5: and he had to miss the entire first year of
- 12:56Speaker 5: his career because of an injury. And he had his
- 13:00Speaker 5: mom come pick him up. He was really upset. He
- 13:03Speaker 5: was crying, and I cried for him because it's really sad.
- 13:05Speaker 5: You know, you get to that pinnacle you're doing good
- 13:08Speaker 5: in preseason to the point where you might actually make
- 13:11Speaker 5: the team. They were talking about he was good enough
- 13:13Speaker 5: to make the team, and then he gets that injury
- 13:15Speaker 5: and out for the year for his rookie year. So yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 5: it's stunk. But he's back. They're giving him a chance.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Now he ran good, Maybe he makes a team. We
- 13:25Speaker 5: gotta see. I mean, obviously we have a lot of
- 13:28Speaker 5: running backs right now. You got DeAndre Swift, you got
- 13:31Speaker 5: mcconaughe how do you say a guy's name mcgonaugh, gang mcgona,
- 13:36Speaker 5: something like that. He's good, So you know, like there's
- 13:41Speaker 5: a lot there's not a lot of spots. He got
- 13:43Speaker 5: Roshawn Johnson fighting in there. You got Travis Homer, so
- 13:47Speaker 5: I mean there's a lot of players. But if Wheeler
- 13:50Speaker 5: doesn't make it on the Bears, I think he will
- 13:53Speaker 5: make it on another team somewhere. But yeah, he rushed
- 13:55Speaker 5: for eighty yards two touchdowns, amazing, said Britton. Brown run
- 14:01Speaker 5: for seventy three yards and a touchdown. Not bad. Receiving
- 14:05Speaker 5: Luther Burden the third. We had forty nine yards, Tyler
- 14:10Speaker 5: Scott fifty four yards and a touchdown. Zach and Zach
- 14:15Speaker 5: Ayas had one catch for thirty six yards. That's amazing
- 14:20Speaker 5: and that touchdown was thrown by Caleb Williams. Amazing touchdown.
- 14:26Speaker 5: But yeah, so that was the Bears. Last week, Bears win. Uh,
- 14:30Speaker 5: they're one oh and one and one and one on
- 14:32Speaker 5: their preseason. They're undefeated so far. And then last Monday,
- 14:37Speaker 5: we had the Bengals at the Commanders. Bengals won thirty
- 14:40Speaker 5: one to seventeen. So there we go, all right, So
- 14:44Speaker 5: let's move on to this week. What do we got
- 14:47Speaker 5: for the preseason? Final week? This is it final dress
- 14:51Speaker 5: rehearsal for all the players trying to make the teams.
- 14:54Speaker 5: This is your chance. For the ones that don't make
- 14:57Speaker 5: it and you don't think you're gonna make it on
- 14:59Speaker 5: this team, we're your ass off because there's gonna be
- 15:01Speaker 5: teams that are gonna be looking to fill certain positions
- 15:05Speaker 5: after preseason for the regular season, and you could be
- 15:08Speaker 5: picked up. What people gotta remember is just because you
- 15:12Speaker 5: don't make this team doesn't mean that you're not doing
- 15:15Speaker 5: a dress rehearsal for other teams. Maybe other teams are
- 15:18Speaker 5: looking for a running back or a quarterback or a
- 15:21Speaker 5: wide receiver or alignment on offense or defense. You work
- 15:26Speaker 5: your butt off because even if you don't make it
- 15:28Speaker 5: on this team, you could make it somewhere else. So
- 15:31Speaker 5: this is the final games for everybody. We've got tonight
- 15:35Speaker 5: two games. We got the Steelers at the Panthers at
- 15:38Speaker 5: six o'clock on NFL Network and then on Prime Video
- 15:43Speaker 5: the Patriots and the Giants tonight. Both of them are
- 15:47Speaker 5: two to zero right now in the preseason. Let's see Friday,
- 15:51Speaker 5: August twenty second, tomorrow at seven to twenty the Bears
- 15:57Speaker 5: at the Chiefs, and all start for both teams are
- 16:02Speaker 5: going to play tomorrow night, all starters, so you're gonna
- 16:06Speaker 5: see Mahomes and Kelsey, Tanaan, Caleb and Loveland and comment
- 16:13Speaker 5: and more than dood day. I'm excited. I'm ready. Let's
- 16:18Speaker 5: do it. Eagles at Jets, the Vikings at the Titans,
- 16:23Speaker 5: the Falcons at the Cowboys, and that's all Tomorrow night. Saturday,
- 16:28Speaker 5: the Ravens at the Commanders at eleven am at ESPN Unlimited.
- 16:33Speaker 5: I believe that's the new ESPN at that's out. We're
- 16:39Speaker 5: going to talk about that later on because WWE signed
- 16:42Speaker 5: a big deal with ESPN now, so we'll talk about
- 16:45Speaker 5: when you're going to have to switch from Peacock to
- 16:49Speaker 5: this ESPN Now, from what I was reading, we'll talk
- 16:53Speaker 5: about this, but from what I was reading, if you
- 16:55Speaker 5: have certain cable services or streaming services, you will not
- 17:00Speaker 5: have to pay the thirty dollars extra for the pay
- 17:05Speaker 5: per views like the thirty dollars day. I don't know.
- 17:08Speaker 5: You'll have to find out from your subscribers. But we'll
- 17:10Speaker 5: talk about when ww's moving over there. But ESPN Unlimited,
- 17:14Speaker 5: I'm guessing that is where it is. Also on ESPR
- 17:18Speaker 5: Unlimited Saturday is it will be the Colts at the Bengals.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Then we got the Rams at the Browns on the
- 17:23Speaker 5: NFL network at noon, Broncos at the Saints, Texans at
- 17:29Speaker 5: the Lions three o'clock on Saturday, those are all at
- 17:33Speaker 5: noon NFL network. At three o'clock, we'll have the Seahawks
- 17:39Speaker 5: of the Packers. The Packers the Jaguars at the Dolphins
- 17:44Speaker 5: on NFL network. Also, I don't know how both can
- 17:47Speaker 5: be on the NFL network at the same time. Oh,
- 17:50Speaker 5: six o'clock, sorry, and then six thirty ESPN Unlimited's gonna
- 17:54Speaker 5: have Bills at Buccaneers. And then at seven thirty, ESPN
- 17:57Speaker 5: Unlimited's gonna have Chargers at forty nine Ers and the
- 18:02Speaker 5: NFL Network's gonna end the preseason weekend on Saturday. All
- 18:07Speaker 5: the games are either today, Tomorrow, or Saturday. There's no
- 18:11Speaker 5: Sunday or Monday games. The last game will be on
- 18:14Speaker 5: the NFL Network at nine o'clock. It's gonna be the
- 18:17Speaker 5: Raiders at the Cardinals. So you can have a full
- 18:20Speaker 5: day of football Saturday between college and the NFL. No
- 18:25Speaker 5: Sunday football this week. We will not have Sunday football
- 18:28Speaker 5: again until Week one of the NFL season, and that's
- 18:33Speaker 5: only gonna be what two weeks from this Sunday. It's
- 18:38Speaker 5: not next week, because that's it's yeah, So it's two
- 18:41Speaker 5: weeks from this Sunday. That's not that long the way. People.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Let's get our teams ready and into their final push
- 18:48Speaker 5: for the NFL season, all right, So let's talk a
- 18:51Speaker 5: little bit about the two thy and seventeen first round
- 18:57Speaker 5: draft grades. This came out on ESPN during the week
- 19:02Speaker 5: and I saw it and I had to grab it
- 19:05Speaker 5: because this affects the Chicago Bears and one of the
- 19:09Speaker 5: quarterbacks they ended up with. So this was the grades
- 19:13Speaker 5: from every player in the first round of the twenty
- 19:16Speaker 5: seventeen NFL Draft, and I think a lot of fans
- 19:19Speaker 5: that watch the Bears know where I'm going with this,
- 19:22Speaker 5: because that was a very big draft class for a
- 19:24Speaker 5: couple of big quarterbacks and then a couple of not
- 19:27Speaker 5: so big quarterbacks. All right, So round one, pick one
- 19:33Speaker 5: was Miles Garrett. He went to the Browns, and that
- 19:37Speaker 5: was an A plus. Obviously, everybody knows Miles Garrett, awesome player.
- 19:41Speaker 5: He fit the bill of exactly what he needed to do,
- 19:45Speaker 5: and he did what he needed to do for the Browns.
- 19:47Speaker 5: So that was pick number one, Pick number two. Everybody
- 19:51Speaker 5: knows where I'm going with this one. Chicago Bears Mitch
- 19:54Speaker 5: Trubisky grade D. But at least it wasn't a D
- 20:00Speaker 5: or an F. It could have been worse because there's
- 20:02Speaker 5: a few I see at least one, two, three, I
- 20:06Speaker 5: see three f's on this and a couple of D minuses,
- 20:09Speaker 5: so it could have been worse. But yeah, Mitsch Trubisky
- 20:12Speaker 5: definitely a D for the Bears. I mean, he did
- 20:14Speaker 5: make it to the playoffs. The one year the double
- 20:17Speaker 5: doink was in twenty eighteen, the year after he started,
- 20:21Speaker 5: was a very unfortunate incident to miss a field goal
- 20:26Speaker 5: that close like he did. Yeah, everybody knows that was
- 20:31Speaker 5: Cody Parky that missed that one. But you know, to
- 20:35Speaker 5: be honest, I mean, I think that year they could
- 20:37Speaker 5: have went to the Super Bowl. The Bears were tough
- 20:38Speaker 5: that year. Wasn't necessarily offense though, it was mostly defense
- 20:42Speaker 5: that year, but still we still got to put up
- 20:46Speaker 5: points to win and get and win games. And they
- 20:49Speaker 5: did win games that year when Naggie as the coach
- 20:51Speaker 5: at Mitch Trubisky as the quarterback. We had Khalil Mack
- 20:55Speaker 5: that year, I believe, So you know, it was a
- 20:58Speaker 5: pretty decent team. That double doinc really screwed everything up,
- 21:03Speaker 5: but it happens. The third pick was San Francisco was
- 21:08Speaker 5: Solomon Thomas. Don't even know who that is, honestly, don't
- 21:12Speaker 5: even know who that is. They should put their positions
- 21:14Speaker 5: because there's some of them that I don't even remember
- 21:16Speaker 5: these names at all, and I think the only ones
- 21:18Speaker 5: that remember the name are probably the teams that drafted them.
- 21:22Speaker 5: It was a D plus though, so obviously he didn't
- 21:24Speaker 5: go out too well for San fran Jaguars had the
- 21:28Speaker 5: number four pick. It was Leonard Fournette. He was a
- 21:33Speaker 5: running back C plus. Wasn't great, wasn't horrible. It was
- 21:37Speaker 5: in the middle, not bad. Number five pick for Tennessee
- 21:41Speaker 5: was Cory Davis a C minus. Yeah, not good, almost
- 21:47Speaker 5: as bad as Mitch Trubisky. Obviously, I don't know who
- 21:50Speaker 5: Cory Davis even is. Number six for the Jets was
- 21:53Speaker 5: Jamal Adams. He gave them a B. That's good. Number
- 21:57Speaker 5: seven was the Chargers with Mike william B minus. So
- 22:01Speaker 5: he did good for them, obviously, or at least decent.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Number eight for the Panthers, and I'm sure they still
- 22:09Speaker 5: wish they had him. Christian McCaffrey A plus. Definitely an
- 22:13Speaker 5: A plus. Christian McCaffrey still is in that range. You know,
- 22:19Speaker 5: he's not He does get hurt. And I did see
- 22:21Speaker 5: people say, well, how come he's an A plus. They're
- 22:26Speaker 5: not saying he's necessarily an A plus now. They were
- 22:29Speaker 5: saying that year this could have been based off of
- 22:32Speaker 5: the first year of their season, of their rookie year.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Not necessarily now, because Mitch Trubisky might be a C now.
- 22:40Speaker 5: He was a deed for the Bears. But he might
- 22:44Speaker 5: be a C now, I mean because he's a pretty
- 22:46Speaker 5: decent backup and he's always at least the number two.
- 22:49Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean he's okay. But Christian McCaffrey, I
- 22:54Speaker 5: mean for the Panthers was amazing and he still is
- 22:57Speaker 5: amazing for San Francisco when he's not hurt. Number nine,
- 23:01Speaker 5: John Ross for the Bengals, f F, You're horrible, F failure.
- 23:10Speaker 5: Number ten. What could have been Number ten was Kansas
- 23:15Speaker 5: City Patrick Mahomes A plus and he's still in the
- 23:21Speaker 5: A range now, maybe not in a plus anymore, because
- 23:25Speaker 5: you know he is getting older. He's not I don't
- 23:30Speaker 5: think that he's as good as he was. He's still good,
- 23:35Speaker 5: but I don't know if he's still as good as
- 23:37Speaker 5: what he was. Of that well, we'll see maybe a plus. Then.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Number eleven was by Shawn Latimore a MIAs for the Saints.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Not bad. Number twelve, still think about what could have been.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Deshaun Watson for the Houston Texans at that time was
- 23:58Speaker 5: a beat. I would took a B grade for quarterback
- 24:03Speaker 5: in twenty seventeen better than a D. So we would
- 24:07Speaker 5: see number thirteen. Hassan Reddick B minus for the Cardinals.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Number fourteen Derek Barnett C plus for the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Number fifteen was Malik Hooker B minus for the Colts.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Number sixteen for the Ravens Marlon Humphrey. And a funny
- 24:30Speaker 5: thing is I don't even know who half these players are, cause,
- 24:33Speaker 5: like I mean, these are guys who probably were standouts
- 24:36Speaker 5: on the team back in the day, but maybe not
- 24:38Speaker 5: any more as much. Number seventeen Jonathan Allen A minus
- 24:42Speaker 5: for Washington. Eighteen is a Durry Jackson C plus for
- 24:49Speaker 5: the Titans. They had two picks in that draft. Let's
- 24:53Speaker 5: see number nineteen O. J. Howard D plus for the Buccaneers. Damn.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Let's see number twenty Garrett Bowles A midas for Denver.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Number twenty one for the Lions, Gerard Davis D midas
- 25:10Speaker 5: obviously not good. Number twenty two, Charles Harris for the Dolphins,
- 25:14Speaker 5: a D midas. Number twenty three, Evan Ingram a B
- 25:20Speaker 5: for New York for the Giants for the Raiders at
- 25:24Speaker 5: twenty four, Goron Connelly and F Let's see at number
- 25:30Speaker 5: twenty five Jabril Peppers with a B for the Browns.
- 25:36Speaker 5: Definitely good player. Let's see at number twenty six for
- 25:41Speaker 5: Atlanta Techrist McKinley a D. Number twenty seven for Buffalo,
- 25:48Speaker 5: Trey White a B number twenty eight for Dallas Taco
- 25:54Speaker 5: Taco Charlton and F I don't even know me? Is
- 26:00Speaker 5: name Taco or was he just that bad? Let's see
- 26:05Speaker 5: number twenty nine another one for the Brownies. Damn. The
- 26:08Speaker 5: Browns had three picks in that draft in that first round.
- 26:11Speaker 5: David Jokub a B still a good player this day,
- 26:19Speaker 5: number thirty, TJ. Watt for Pittsburgh A plus, still a
- 26:25Speaker 5: good player, number thirty one, Ruben Foster a D minus
- 26:30Speaker 5: at number thirty two, Ryan Ribzek for the Saints, and
- 26:35Speaker 5: A So that was your twenty seventeen first round draft grades.
- 26:41Speaker 5: I want to see next year, after the season where
- 26:47Speaker 5: the draft grades are for guys like Caleb Williams and
- 26:52Speaker 5: you know, Jaydon Daniels, because I think both of those
- 26:54Speaker 5: players are going to be amazing. Okay, they're both amazing
- 26:58Speaker 5: in their own right. I think that, And I'm gonna
- 27:02Speaker 5: put this out there, okay from that, and I know
- 27:04Speaker 5: I'm basing it just off of one drive over preseason game.
- 27:10Speaker 5: But if I see this Caleb Williams that I saw
- 27:15Speaker 5: on Sunday, if I see that tomorrow night on Friday
- 27:19Speaker 5: against the first stringers on Kansas City because granted the
- 27:24Speaker 5: Buffalo Bills did not play their starters on Sunday last week,
- 27:30Speaker 5: they played their second stringers and third stringers. Okay, a
- 27:36Speaker 5: lot of those guys are going to be either on
- 27:39Speaker 5: other teams or bagging groceries. Who knows where they're going
- 27:43Speaker 5: to be in the next two weeks after this is done. Okay,
- 27:48Speaker 5: And I'll give you that he was playing. But here's
- 27:51Speaker 5: the thing that I tell people all the time. If
- 27:53Speaker 5: you are in the NFL. If you're in the NFL,
- 27:58Speaker 5: whether you're in the preseason, regular season, or on the
- 28:03Speaker 5: practice squad, you are there to show up and show out.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Your job as a prospect for a team is to
- 28:14Speaker 5: come in there and play tough to win every game.
- 28:19Speaker 5: So for these armchair quarterback fans that none of you
- 28:23Speaker 5: could have ever made it in football to sit there
- 28:27Speaker 5: and say that these guys who are out there doing
- 28:30Speaker 5: it right now are gonna be bagging groceries in a week,
- 28:37Speaker 5: is that because you're gonna be firing. They're gonna take
- 28:38Speaker 5: your job. Nine You are losers that have no life
- 28:44Speaker 5: at a crappy ass job, and you're sitting there talking
- 28:48Speaker 5: about millionaire and thousand air quarter players who are doing
- 28:53Speaker 5: what you probably grow up wishing you could do. Not
- 29:00Speaker 5: sit there and say, oh, well, you know, Caleb Williams
- 29:04Speaker 5: is going against third traders. Third stringers are still better
- 29:07Speaker 5: than a no straighter because most likely some of them
- 29:12Speaker 5: are going to make the team, and the ones that
- 29:14Speaker 5: don't are gonna make some other teams, or they're gonna
- 29:17Speaker 5: make the practice squad. They're gonna be in an NFL uniform.
- 29:21Speaker 5: When you're sitting there in a public's uniform or a
- 29:25Speaker 5: McDonald's uniform, or me in an Amazon name tag, I'm
- 29:30Speaker 5: not any better. I'm not in the NFL, but I'm
- 29:32Speaker 5: not sitting there judging players like you. I'm not saying, well,
- 29:37Speaker 5: that guy's gonna be doing this and that in two weeks.
- 29:39Speaker 5: I don't know what he's gonna be doing in two weeks,
- 29:41Speaker 5: and neither do you. You're just jealous that they're in
- 29:46Speaker 5: the NFL and you're sitting there in your grandmama's basement
- 29:50Speaker 5: talking crap about guys that you don't even know. What's
- 29:55Speaker 5: the main reason people talk about Caleb Williams because he
- 29:58Speaker 5: paints his damn fingernails. Who gives a flying shit that
- 30:03Speaker 5: he paints his fingernails. Denis Rodman didn't only paint his fingernails.
- 30:08Speaker 5: He put on lipstick and a wedding dress and rouge
- 30:12Speaker 5: and all that crab eyeliner and married himself in a
- 30:18Speaker 5: wedding dress. But you had no problem with that as
- 30:23Speaker 5: a kid. You cheered on the word. And now you're
- 30:27Speaker 5: in your forties and fifties acting like some fricking idiot
- 30:31Speaker 5: that sounds like a hillbilly that has no common sense
- 30:37Speaker 5: when it comes to sports. You probably weren't even good
- 30:41Speaker 5: enough to make it in high school football, let alone
- 30:44Speaker 5: make it in the pros. Your fan ass could probably
- 30:49Speaker 5: not even make it to the kitchen to get your cheetos.
- 30:54Speaker 5: I bet your wife or your mom, because you probably
- 30:56Speaker 5: live in her basement, has to go get your cheetos
- 30:58Speaker 5: for you.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Ba the meat loaf, By the meat loaf.
- 31:05Speaker 5: I don't know what she's doing up there? What is
- 31:08Speaker 5: she doing up there? You guys have no common sense
- 31:13Speaker 5: when it comes to anything zero, But I digress. This team,
- 31:25Speaker 5: this Bears team, is going to be a lot different
- 31:27Speaker 5: this year, and I can guarantee that next week I
- 31:31Speaker 5: will give my team by team wins and losses for
- 31:35Speaker 5: the Bears. We're gonna go through the Bears schedule with
- 31:38Speaker 5: a fine tooth comb and we're gonna talk about each
- 31:41Speaker 5: game and which games I think they're gonna win, and
- 31:43Speaker 5: we will give my record. Also, next week, we will
- 31:49Speaker 5: be doing our first college football pick'ems like I did
- 31:55Speaker 5: last year for NFL and NCAA. We're gonna be doing that. Well,
- 32:00Speaker 5: that's gonna be a lot of fun. All right, let's
- 32:03Speaker 5: move on to our next topic at hand. Next week
- 32:08Speaker 5: is officially the final. Next Sunday, August thirty first, is
- 32:14Speaker 5: the final pay per view that you will see for
- 32:19Speaker 5: WWE's main roster on Peacock. It is moving to the
- 32:26Speaker 5: ESPN new streaming service that started today. So here was
- 32:33Speaker 5: now everybody originally thought, and this was originally I was
- 32:36Speaker 5: gonna go. It was gonna kick off with the Royal
- 32:39Speaker 5: Rumble in January. Okay, that was gonna be your first
- 32:42Speaker 5: one on ESPN. Then it switched to we're gonna do
- 32:48Speaker 5: a special September twentieth pay per view to kick off
- 32:54Speaker 5: what we are doing with ESPN as a preview that
- 32:58Speaker 5: would turn to WWE is just switching completely over to
- 33:02Speaker 5: ESPN as of now. So apparently I mean, Peacock is
- 33:08Speaker 5: still gonna have all your other stuff. It's gonna have
- 33:11Speaker 5: all your old raws, your old pay per views, It's
- 33:14Speaker 5: gonna have all that stuff, you know. Most likely. I
- 33:17Speaker 5: don't know though, if it's gonna get the new pay
- 33:20Speaker 5: per views after it's done, or how that's gonna work.
- 33:23Speaker 5: I don't know if they're gonna show the new ones
- 33:25Speaker 5: anymore on there, like for now, or if it's just
- 33:28Speaker 5: gonna be like, Okay, you guys are just done clash
- 33:31Speaker 5: in Paris. That's in. So I don't know how that's
- 33:34Speaker 5: gonna work, but I guess we're gonna find out. But
- 33:36Speaker 5: here was a statement by WWE. Then I took that
- 33:43Speaker 5: they made about their ESPN thing that they're doing. It
- 33:47Speaker 5: says just announced. Beginning September twentieth, ESPN becomes the exclusive
- 33:54Speaker 5: domestic home of all WWE premium live events in the US.
- 34:00Speaker 5: All ww premium live events will be available on ESPN's
- 34:04Speaker 5: new direct to consumer streaming service earlier than previously announced,
- 34:08Speaker 5: with select simulcasting on ESPN linear platforms. To kick off
- 34:14Speaker 5: this new partnership, WWE and ESPN are coming together for
- 34:18Speaker 5: a massive premium live event with the first ever Russell
- 34:22Speaker 5: Palooza on Saturday, September twentieth, live from Gamebridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. So,
- 34:30Speaker 5: Indianapolis is gonna host the first ever Russell Palooza. John
- 34:35Speaker 5: Cena will wrestle his final time in Indianapolis. There there
- 34:39Speaker 5: is word that it will be probably against brock Lesner.
- 34:42Speaker 5: That's why they've been holding brock Lesner off there. We're
- 34:45Speaker 5: waiting for him to have like a special thing with
- 34:47Speaker 5: John Cena, and this is it. They wanted to do
- 34:50Speaker 5: it here, So that's most likely when you're gonna have
- 34:53Speaker 5: that big matchup. So we'll see what happens. It's gonna
- 34:57Speaker 5: be a big one Russell Paluza. It'll be the first
- 35:00Speaker 5: premium live event. Now from what I heard is even
- 35:03Speaker 5: if you don't have the new streaming service, you'll be
- 35:06Speaker 5: able to watch it for free without having to pay
- 35:09Speaker 5: for the streaming service because it's like for all it's
- 35:12Speaker 5: basically like a preview to show the fans what they're
- 35:15Speaker 5: gonna get if you order this, So they're gonna like
- 35:19Speaker 5: do it for free so that people can see it.
- 35:21Speaker 5: That's pretty cool. And then of course if you want
- 35:24Speaker 5: to watch Survivor series war games and so on and
- 35:27Speaker 5: so forth. You're gonna have to have the streaming service
- 35:30Speaker 5: or a cable company that provides it. So I believe Exfinity,
- 35:34Speaker 5: which is what I have, Direct TV, Fubo might have it.
- 35:39Speaker 5: The Fubo TV, I think, Hulu YouTube, all those I
- 35:43Speaker 5: think have it. So yeah, it should be on those two.
- 35:48Speaker 5: I have to see how it's done. I didn't even
- 35:49Speaker 5: look into it yet. I'm gonna look into it today
- 35:52Speaker 5: and see what they're doing and how we're doing it.
- 35:54Speaker 5: I want to know because I want it. I wanted
- 35:56Speaker 5: to be able to watch the Premium Live events. So
- 35:59Speaker 5: class impairs us. Next Saturday or next Sunday, August thirty
- 36:03Speaker 5: first is going to be the last Peacock Premium Live
- 36:06Speaker 5: event with a start time of one pm Central Time
- 36:12Speaker 5: twelve Eastern and that would be eleven am Pacific time,
- 36:18Speaker 5: I believe. So here we go. Here are the matches
- 36:23Speaker 5: that are already set the world. Have you a championship
- 36:26Speaker 5: match seth Rollins Champion versus Jay Uso, CM Punk and
- 36:30Speaker 5: La Night in a fatal four way, John Cena versus Logan,
- 36:34Speaker 5: Paul Seamus versus Russ in a good old fashioned Donnie
- 36:40Speaker 5: Brook which is basically noticed qualification match, and then we
- 36:46Speaker 5: have Roman Rains versus Bronson Red that was announced on
- 36:51Speaker 5: Monday Night Raw when Roman came down and saved CM
- 36:55Speaker 5: Punk and Jay Usso and La Knight. So there we go.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Let's see prediction matches on Disputed WW Championship Cody Rose
- 37:06Speaker 5: versus Drew McIntyre, Woman's inter Continental Championship, Becky Lynch versus
- 37:11Speaker 5: Nicky Bella, and Damian Price versus Alistair Black. So those
- 37:15Speaker 5: three matches are possibilities. Now, could they hold off a
- 37:23Speaker 5: couple of those matches for this big Russell Paluz on September, Yeah,
- 37:27Speaker 5: they definitely could, and they probably will. If I were them,
- 37:32Speaker 5: I would hold off like a Nicky Bella and Becky
- 37:34Speaker 5: Lynch until then because people will watch it just because
- 37:38Speaker 5: the storyline is cool. People don't all like Nicky Bella,
- 37:41Speaker 5: but at the same time they're feeling the whole John
- 37:44Speaker 5: Cena storyline talking about her ex boyfriend and all that.
- 37:49Speaker 5: So yeah, Damian Price and Alistair Black, you can add
- 37:53Speaker 5: that to Clash in Paris and then the whole Cody
- 37:56Speaker 5: Rose and Drew McIntyre. You can probably hold that off
- 37:58Speaker 5: for the next one, which is the first one on ESPN. So, yeah,
- 38:03Speaker 5: I would definitely hold off on those, but we'll see.
- 38:05Speaker 5: I think he got four and one more. You got
- 38:08Speaker 5: five matches. I think that's good for clash in Paris.
- 38:11Speaker 5: That's about what they do anyway, usually five matches. There
- 38:14Speaker 5: you go. I mean, you probably could get away with
- 38:16Speaker 5: the four they got because you got some good ones here,
- 38:20Speaker 5: some ones that could last a little while. I would
- 38:22Speaker 5: do one more. I would add either Becky Lyncher, Nicki
- 38:26Speaker 5: Bollo or Damian Fries and alist By. We'll see what
- 38:31Speaker 5: they end up doing with that one. Oh, big congratulations
- 38:36Speaker 5: out to Naomi and Jimmy Usso, the birthday boy. Jimmy
- 38:39Speaker 5: Usso not only is his birthday this weekend, but him
- 38:43Speaker 5: and Naomi having a baby. They announced it on Stephanie
- 38:47Speaker 5: McMahon's podcast, and then of course also then she and
- 38:52Speaker 5: I was on Monday Night. Gave up her title. I
- 38:56Speaker 5: want to find this quote from her. I love it.
- 38:59Speaker 5: I love the fan that she still played the heel
- 39:01Speaker 5: role well doing the good guy I'm having a baby role.
- 39:05Speaker 5: It was awesome. Hold on one second. So here was
- 39:08Speaker 5: Naomi's final warning to the women of Raw. When she
- 39:15Speaker 5: laid down her title. She said I'm gonna leave my
- 39:18Speaker 5: title here and I'm gonna give you Heifer's nine months
- 39:21Speaker 5: and some change to do whatever you want to do
- 39:24Speaker 5: with my title. And even if I got a comeback
- 39:27Speaker 5: breastfeeding with my baby in my arms, I'm coming back
- 39:31Speaker 5: to pick up where I left off. And whoever has
- 39:34Speaker 5: that title, what I do, I strongly advise you to
- 39:37Speaker 5: proceed with caution. And then she laid down her title
- 39:42Speaker 5: and that was it. So congratulations to Naomi and Jimmy
- 39:45Speaker 5: Usso on the little baby oose and adding to the bloodline.
- 39:51Speaker 5: We're excited. The blood line's gonna keep going for generations
- 39:55Speaker 5: and generations. That is awesome. So next week, of course,
- 39:59Speaker 5: so there be another matter too, added to Clash in Paris.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Next week, I will do my predictions for Clash in Paris.
- 40:07Speaker 5: We'll see who's gonna win and who's gonna lose. Next
- 40:11Speaker 5: week is gonna be a big week for a lot
- 40:13Speaker 5: of stuff with that, right, So let's move on NASCAR.
- 40:19Speaker 5: We're gonna look at the standings next week after Daytona
- 40:23Speaker 5: because this is the big one, this is the one
- 40:25Speaker 5: that they love, Daytona five hundred. It's a big one
- 40:28Speaker 5: this weekend and I wasn't go over to the standings,
- 40:33Speaker 5: but we did that last week. We'll do that again
- 40:35Speaker 5: next week. With one week left, I don't think there
- 40:38Speaker 5: is this The playoffs start I think in the next
- 40:41Speaker 5: week or two. I don't know how that works, so
- 40:43Speaker 5: we'll have to see. But I want to talk about
- 40:46Speaker 5: the twenty twenty sixth season was announced, and when I
- 40:51Speaker 5: announced where they're gonna be next year in Illinois, crazy
- 40:55Speaker 5: because it's definitely not Chicago. They already said the stream
- 40:58Speaker 5: racing has done for at least for a year, they're
- 41:01Speaker 5: not going to do the street racing. So I'll go
- 41:03Speaker 5: over the schedule with everybody. This is the official schedule
- 41:08Speaker 5: for next year's NASCAR twenty twenty six. It's funny because
- 41:12Speaker 5: the season is not even over. But if you think
- 41:14Speaker 5: about it, the season ends in November, it starts back
- 41:16Speaker 5: up in February. They only stop for like two months
- 41:20Speaker 5: before they really come back again, because you got November, December,
- 41:24Speaker 5: and January. It's like three months on their back. It's
- 41:27Speaker 5: not like other sports like football, you got January. The
- 41:31Speaker 5: February is the super Bowl, right, but the preseason technically
- 41:36Speaker 5: doesn't start again until August, So like you have all
- 41:39Speaker 5: those months now in between. Yeah, there's practices and there's
- 41:43Speaker 5: OTA's and all that kind of stuff, but it's not
- 41:47Speaker 5: like NASCAR. They just do a three month break and
- 41:50Speaker 5: then they're back and they go from February fourteenth all
- 41:56Speaker 5: the way till November. Aye. They get that little right
- 42:00Speaker 5: for the holiday for like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and
- 42:04Speaker 5: then they're back usually on the weekend ish of usually
- 42:11Speaker 5: Valentine's Day weekend carry out. So yeah, that's crazy. So
- 42:14Speaker 5: here we go. This is next year's My phone wants
- 42:19Speaker 5: to be slow. Here is the NASCAR races for next year.
- 42:24Speaker 5: This is where they're gonna be. I know, I screenshot it,
- 42:28Speaker 5: unless I have to look at the other thing. I
- 42:32Speaker 5: thought I screenshot it. I guess it is screenshot, so
- 42:37Speaker 5: I gotta get the other thing. Oh and a really
- 42:40Speaker 5: big news out of NASCAR too is that next year
- 42:45Speaker 5: it will that be the Exfinity Series for the smaller
- 42:51Speaker 5: race on the Saturday before it will now be the
- 42:54Speaker 5: O'Reilly Auto One. They O'Reilly's got the sponsorship for next year,
- 43:01Speaker 5: so it'll be the O'Reilly's DASCAR Cup instead of the
- 43:06Speaker 5: Infinity one. So that's pretty crazy. So yeah, next year.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Sunday February first will be the Cookout Clash Bowman Ray
- 43:16Speaker 5: Stadium on Fox Sports. Steed Sunday February fifteenth, and officially
- 43:22Speaker 5: kicks off at Daytona with a Daytota five hundred on
- 43:24Speaker 5: Fox Sunday February twenty second. Echo Park Speedway in Atlanta
- 43:31Speaker 5: on Fox Sports Sunday March first. The Circuit of America's
- 43:36Speaker 5: in Austin on Fox Sports Sunday March eighth, Phoenix Raceway
- 43:41Speaker 5: Fox Sports Sunday March fifteenth, The Las Vegas Motor Speedway
- 43:47Speaker 5: Let's see. If I don't mention where it's gonna be
- 43:49Speaker 5: on the It's on Fox Sports Sunday March twenty second.
- 43:52Speaker 5: They're gonna go to Darlington Raceway Sunday March twenty ninth.
- 43:56Speaker 5: They'll be in Martinsville Speedway Sunday April twelfth. Bristol Motor Speedway,
- 44:03Speaker 5: Let's see Sunday April nineteenth, Kansas Speedway Sunday April twenty sixth,

- 44:26Speaker 5: be on Sunday, May seventeenth at Dover Motor Speedway. Sunday
- 44:32Speaker 5: May twenty fourth is the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Prime Video.
- 44:37Speaker 5: The next ones are all Prime Video, so if I
- 44:39Speaker 5: don't mention it, that's where it's at. Sunday, May thirty one.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Nashville Superspeedway Sunday June seventh, Misschigan Michigan International Speedway June fourteenth.
- 44:51Speaker 5: Ponaco Raceway new one next year on Sunday June twenty first.
- 44:57Speaker 5: In San Diego. It's going to be at the Naval
- 45:01Speaker 5: Base in Canardo, Cornado Sunday June twenty eighth. Sonoma Raceway
- 45:10Speaker 5: Sunday July fifth, so fourth of July weekend. It will
- 45:13Speaker 5: be back in Chicago Land, but it's going to be
- 45:16Speaker 5: at the Chicago Land Speedway in Joliet. That's right back
- 45:21Speaker 5: to Joliet for a year, Sunday July twelfth. Echo Park
- 45:25Speaker 5: Speedway in Atlanta Sunday July nineteenth, to North Wilkesboro Speedway
- 45:32Speaker 5: Sunday July twenty sixth. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday, August ninth.
- 45:37Speaker 5: The Iowa Speedway. These all these ones are oh, a
- 45:42Speaker 5: couple of them are on TNT. These ones are on
- 45:45Speaker 5: USA Network and NBC. So that was the Iowa Speedway
- 45:51Speaker 5: August fifteenth, The Richmond Raceway on USA network. These ones
- 45:55Speaker 5: are all on USA Network Sunday August twenty third, New
- 45:58Speaker 5: Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday, August twenty ninth. Back to Daytona
- 46:05Speaker 5: Sunday September sixth, Darlington Raceway and I believe all the
- 46:10Speaker 5: asterisks are playoffs Sunday September thirteenth, Worldwide Technology Raceway at
- 46:17Speaker 5: Gateway Saint Louis, Saturday September nineteenth, Bristol Motor Speedway Sunday
- 46:26Speaker 5: September twenty seventh, The Kansas Speedway Sunday, October fourth, the
- 46:32Speaker 5: day before my birthday, Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday October eleventh,
- 46:38Speaker 5: Charlotte Motor Speedway and Rovo Sunday October eighteenth, Ray Phoenix Raceway.
- 46:46Speaker 5: These ones are back on the USA Network Sunday October
- 46:50Speaker 5: twenty fifth, Tamladega Superspeedway again November one, the Martinsdale Speedway
- 46:56Speaker 5: on USA Network and then the Big Finale of the
- 47:01Speaker 5: Cup NASCAR Championship at Homestead Miami Speedway next year in
- 47:09Speaker 5: Miami for the big race. So there it is. Those
- 47:13Speaker 5: are where they're gonna be. Nascar, O'Reilly Auto part Series
- 47:16Speaker 5: is what the other one's gonna be called now in
- 47:18Speaker 5: set of Exfinity. So that's it. That's where it's gonna be.
- 47:23Speaker 5: All your locations next year, so mark your calendars for
- 47:27Speaker 5: your home state or wherever you want to travel to
- 47:29Speaker 5: watch them. All. Right, let's go into some baseball news.
- 47:33Speaker 5: Here's some crazy stuff. I was shocked by it. I
- 47:36Speaker 5: was actually very shocked by this. Baseball is looking to
- 47:39Speaker 5: possibly realign their divisions to make them make a little
- 47:44Speaker 5: more sense. Now this would be kind of cool because
- 47:48Speaker 5: I'll tell you why in a minute. So let's go
- 47:50Speaker 5: over this really quick and see if you agree with
- 47:53Speaker 5: what they're playing on doing. This is just talk. I
- 47:56Speaker 5: don't know if this is actually going to happen. This
- 47:59Speaker 5: is just their proposing right now a realignment because of
- 48:03Speaker 5: geographic things, because I mean, some of it doesn't make
- 48:06Speaker 5: sense when you look at Why are the White Sox
- 48:09Speaker 5: and Cubs not in the same division but they're in
- 48:11Speaker 5: the same city. Why are they in different conferences? They're
- 48:15Speaker 5: not even in the same conference, but yet they're in
- 48:17Speaker 5: the same city. You know, same thing with the Mets
- 48:20Speaker 5: and the Yankees, Like why are they in different but
- 48:24Speaker 5: they're in the same area, but they're in different It
- 48:27Speaker 5: makes no sense. One's American League. One is National League.
- 48:30Speaker 5: So here we go. So for the American League, this
- 48:33Speaker 5: is what they're looking to do. This is potential MLB
- 48:38Speaker 5: realignment for the American League AL Northeast. It would be
- 48:42Speaker 5: the Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, and Philadelphia Phillies.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Now that'd be cool. Okay, that'd be cool because then
- 48:54Speaker 5: you would see more games with the Phillies and the Yankees,
- 48:58Speaker 5: or the Boston Red Sox against the New York Yankees
- 49:02Speaker 5: because they be in the same division, they see them
- 49:04Speaker 5: playing each other more, which would be cool. That would
- 49:07Speaker 5: make the rivalry even better. Or how about the Mets
- 49:10Speaker 5: and the Yankees play each other more because they're in
- 49:13Speaker 5: the same division. The AL mid Atlantic would be Baltimore, Washington,
- 49:19Speaker 5: the Pirates and the Guardians. That makes sense. The AL
- 49:26Speaker 5: Great Lakes would be I believe it's the Minnesota Twins,
- 49:33Speaker 5: it looks like it. Or is that Cincinnati. I you
- 49:37Speaker 5: know what I don't know all. Oh, no, is that Cincinnati,
- 49:39Speaker 5: So that's gotta be Is that Minnesota? That's gotta be Minnesota.
- 49:45Speaker 5: Let me see, I'm look gonna see if Minnesota will
- 49:49Speaker 5: be anywhere else. Nope. And this is with new teams too,
- 49:56Speaker 5: because there's a couple of new teams that are coming
- 49:59Speaker 5: to Major League Baseball next couple of seasons too. So yeah,
- 50:04Speaker 5: I believe that would be Minnesota, Detroit, Milwaukee at Toronto.
- 50:10Speaker 5: And that makes sense because that's the Great Lakes. That's
- 50:13Speaker 5: all above. So you got yeah, because you've got Detroit, Minnesota, Milwaukee,
- 50:18Speaker 5: and Toronto all in that upper area. And then the
- 50:22Speaker 5: AL Southeast East would be the Braves, the Marlins, Tampa
- 50:28Speaker 5: Bay and a Charlotte team. Okay, now that's the AL.
- 50:33Speaker 5: So that would be your four divisions of the L.
- 50:36Speaker 5: I'm cool with that. Potential real lifment for the National
- 50:40Speaker 5: League would be the NL Northwest would be Seattle, Oakland,
- 50:45Speaker 5: San Francisco, and a new Portland team. Makes sense. The
- 50:51Speaker 5: AL Southwest will be the Dodgers, the Padres, the Angels,
- 51:01Speaker 5: and looks like the Diamondbacks Arizona Diamondbacks makes sense. Then
- 51:06Speaker 5: you would have the NL Central, which would change to
- 51:10Speaker 5: the Colorado Rockies, Kansas City, Texas, and Houston. And now
- 51:17Speaker 5: you would have a new one called the NL Midwest,
- 51:20Speaker 5: which would be the Cincinnati Reds, Saint Louis Cardinals, the
- 51:26Speaker 5: Chicago White Sox, and the Chicago Cubs. Makes sense, I'll
- 51:31Speaker 5: all for it, I think if it makes sense to
- 51:35Speaker 5: why are we in different divisions, not only different divisions,
- 51:38Speaker 5: but different conferences. Why are the White Sox the AL
- 51:42Speaker 5: and the Cubs are the NL and they're literally like
- 51:46Speaker 5: within thirty minutes of each other. I don't understand that.
- 51:50Speaker 5: It makes no sense. And why are the Combs with Milwaukee?
- 51:56Speaker 5: I mean, I get it, they're close by each other,
- 51:58Speaker 5: but it doesn't add up to it would make more
- 52:01Speaker 5: sense now I could see a possible realignment being Cub Socks,
- 52:10Speaker 5: and maybe they could switch her out if they wanted to.
- 52:14Speaker 5: But I like the way they're doing this. I like Cincinnati,
- 52:19Speaker 5: I like Saint Louis. But I would maybe move Cincinnati
- 52:26Speaker 5: to where Cleveland is, so I have Cleveland, Pittsburgh Cincinnati
- 52:39Speaker 5: because they're both Ohio. I don't understand, so it is
- 52:44Speaker 5: a little off in certain areas. I would move Cincinnati
- 52:52Speaker 5: because I would move Cincinnati and Milwaukee. I would move
- 52:55Speaker 5: Cincinnati to the LA Great Lake Al Great Lakes, and
- 52:59Speaker 5: I would move Milwake up and put them in the
- 53:01Speaker 5: Midwest Division with the Cubs, the Socks, and Saint Louis.
- 53:06Speaker 5: That's what I would do if I were that MLB.
- 53:08Speaker 5: But like I said, I'm good with it either way.
- 53:10Speaker 5: I think it makes more sense to where geography is
- 53:13Speaker 5: and everything. So yeah, it makes sense. All right, really quick,
- 53:16Speaker 5: I wanted to finally do this. We've done this yet,
- 53:18Speaker 5: and we're almost in September. We're gonna start focusing a
- 53:21Speaker 5: little on MLB's playoff picture because yeah, it's skin there.
- 53:26Speaker 5: We're already August twenty first, so remember September is the
- 53:31Speaker 5: last month of baseball before the playoffs start. So here
- 53:34Speaker 5: we go. Let's start with the American League. Oh right,
- 53:40Speaker 5: American League East. The Blue Jays seventy four and fifty
- 53:43Speaker 5: four in first place. The Yankees are sixty nine to
- 53:46Speaker 5: fifty seven, four games behind them. Boston Red Sox are Oh,
- 53:53Speaker 5: Boston is in the same one as the Yankees. Yeah,
- 53:55Speaker 5: so you move the Mets with them, that'd be cool,
- 53:57Speaker 5: it would make more sense. But yeah, you got the
- 54:00Speaker 5: Boston Red Sox at sixty and fifty nine, five and
- 54:03Speaker 5: a half games back. You've got the Tampa Bay Rays
- 54:07Speaker 5: at sixty one and sixty six, twelve and a half
- 54:10Speaker 5: games back, and then the Orioles at fifty nine and
- 54:14Speaker 5: sixty seven, fourteen games back. The American League West, you've
- 54:19Speaker 5: got the Astros at sixty nine and fifty eight in
- 54:22Speaker 5: first place, Mariners a game and a half behind them
- 54:25Speaker 5: at sixty and sixty. You got the Rangers below five
- 54:28Speaker 5: hundred and at sixty three and sixty five, six and
- 54:31Speaker 5: a half games back. You got the Angels at sixty
- 54:34Speaker 5: one and sixty six, eight games back, and you've got
- 54:37Speaker 5: the Athletics fifty eight and seventy at eleven and a
- 54:40Speaker 5: half games back. Now you want to say the Athletics
- 54:43Speaker 5: are out, Technically they're not. There's a lot of baseball left.
- 54:47Speaker 5: Had a whole month and a couple of weeks. You
- 54:51Speaker 5: still got some time if you have the Athletics, but
- 54:53Speaker 5: it won't happen all right. And then now here we
- 54:57Speaker 5: go American League Central. We've got the Tigers in first
- 55:03Speaker 5: place seventy six and fifty three. You got the Kansas
- 55:06Speaker 5: City Royal second place, ten games behind at sixty five
- 55:10Speaker 5: and sixty two. You've got the Cleveland Guardians at sixty
- 55:14Speaker 5: four and sixty two, ten and a half games back.
- 55:18Speaker 5: You got the Twinkies at fifty and sixty eight, sixteen
- 55:21Speaker 5: and a half games back. And then you got the
- 55:23Speaker 5: Chicago White Sox, who have more wins this year than
- 55:26Speaker 5: they did last year, but not by much yet, at
- 55:29Speaker 5: forty five and eighty two, thirty games back from first place.
- 55:34Speaker 5: So yeah, they're pretty much done. Alright. Let's move on
- 55:37Speaker 5: to the National League. National League East, you've got the
- 55:41Speaker 5: Philadelphia Phillies kick an ass right now, take a name,
- 55:45Speaker 5: seventy four and fifty three. You got the Bets behind them,
- 55:48Speaker 5: six and a half games back. At sixty seven and
- 55:50Speaker 5: fifty nine. You've got the Marlins at sixty and sixty seven,
- 55:56Speaker 5: fourteen games back, the Atlanta Braves at fifty and sixty nine,
- 56:02Speaker 5: sixteen games back. You got the Nationals last place, fifty
- 56:06Speaker 5: one and seventy five, twenty two and a half games back.
- 56:11Speaker 5: In the National League West, you've got the Dodgers at
- 56:14Speaker 5: seventy two and fifty five. They're one game ahead of
- 56:17Speaker 5: the Padres who are seventy one and fifty six. You
- 56:21Speaker 5: got the Diamondbacks sixty two and sixty six, ten and
- 56:26Speaker 5: a half games back from first. You have the Giants
- 56:29Speaker 5: at sixty one and sixty six, eleven games back, and
- 56:33Speaker 5: then the Colorado Rockies worst team to Major League Baseball
- 56:37Speaker 5: right now thirty seven wins on the year and ninety losses,
- 56:42Speaker 5: thirty five games back. And then of course the NL
- 56:45Speaker 5: Central Brewers just running away with well, actually I don't
- 56:52Speaker 5: want to say that, because actually the Cubs are right
- 56:55Speaker 5: there with them technically, and that they won three out
- 56:58Speaker 5: of four this weekend over the lucky Brewers with one
- 57:01Speaker 5: series left with them. So the Brewers right now seventy
- 57:04Speaker 5: nine wins, forty eight losses first place, the Cubbies right
- 57:09Speaker 5: behind them seventy three and fifty four, six games back.
- 57:13Speaker 5: You got the Reds at sixty seven and sixty one,
- 57:16Speaker 5: they're twelve and a half games back. You got the
- 57:18Speaker 5: Cardinals at sixty three and sixty five, sixteen and a
- 57:22Speaker 5: half games back. And then we've got the Pirates at
- 57:26Speaker 5: fifty four and seventy four, twenty five and a half
- 57:29Speaker 5: games back. So you know, with about a month and
- 57:32Speaker 5: a little bit of change, there's still a lot of
- 57:34Speaker 5: time left, right now, a lot of teams still hit it.
- 57:37Speaker 5: You know, you're not out until you hit that magic
- 57:40Speaker 5: number of being out. So you know, like right now,
- 57:44Speaker 5: first week is September, maybe next weekend, maybe our next
- 57:47Speaker 5: week's show. I'll look and see if there's like a
- 57:49Speaker 5: playoff standing list right now to see where everybody's at.
- 57:53Speaker 5: But there's a lot of teams right now. Actually, you know,
- 57:56Speaker 5: let me look that. I'll hould on MLB. Let's see
- 58:01Speaker 5: if we can see a playoff standing now here we
- 58:03Speaker 5: go MLB playoff standings. Let's see wildcard MLB. Let's see
- 58:10Speaker 5: where we're at. So right now, for the AL, the
- 58:17Speaker 5: L leaders are Detroit, Toronto, and Houston. The wildcard is
- 58:21Speaker 5: between New York, Boston and Seattle. They're the ones that
- 58:26Speaker 5: are like right there. For the wildcard, let's see, yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 5: I mean technically, what is there three wildcard spots in
- 58:47Speaker 5: each now? So yeah, like three wildcard spots. So right now,
- 58:51Speaker 5: New York, Boston, and Seattle all have wildcard spots. Right now,
- 58:57Speaker 5: the NL leaders would be Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and the Dodgers.
- 59:02Speaker 5: Wildcard is the Cubs and they're plus five and a
- 59:05Speaker 5: half games right now, so they're pretty good standing up there,
- 59:13Speaker 5: and then you've got San Diego and the Mets in there.
- 59:18Speaker 5: So with Cincinnati's like right behind the game, back behind
- 59:21Speaker 5: the Mets. But yeah, Cubs got a five and a
- 59:23Speaker 5: half game lead over Cincinnati right now for that first
- 59:27Speaker 5: wildcard spot. So I mean the Cubs at minimum, if
- 59:32Speaker 5: they keep winning, they may not catch the Brewers, but
- 59:35Speaker 5: they'll at least make a wildcard. And look, baseball is
- 59:37Speaker 5: not about your number one seed because you could be
- 59:39Speaker 5: the number one seed and still not win anything, and
- 59:43Speaker 5: it happens all the time. So yeah, no, honestly, don't
- 59:48Speaker 5: ever believe that kind of hype because that doesn't always happen.
- 59:52Speaker 5: All right, So let's move on. Now that we looked
- 59:55Speaker 5: at the baseball standings, let's move on. So here's a
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: fun one. My rating for Man in twenty six. So
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: I love the game. I am on board with everybody
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: who says they love it.
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: I am a Madden officiano, Okay, I get I get
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: Man every year, regardless of if people say it's good
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: or bad. Okay, I get it every single year. I
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: love it, Okay, But there are things that I don't
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: enjoy about Mann. And here's what I would do different.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: If I were man, I would make it an expansion pack.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: I would be like almost like a Grand Theft Auto
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: or a Fortnight. I would keep Madden just going every year,
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: and every year you just have to pay like ten
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: or twenty bucks a year to get the new offense
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: so like, or to get the new players so like.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: To update the rosters every August you have to pay
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: ten or twenty bucks. And I get it. It's a
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: money grab every year. They know people are gonna buy
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: it because the updated rosters and maybe the gameplay changes
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: here and there, which this year. The only thing I
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: don't like is the kicking. But you could change it
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: back to classic man it, so I'm cool there. The
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: kicking is weird. It gives you like a squiggly thing.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: It's stupid. I don't like it. I think I'm not
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: the only one that hates that. I think there's a
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: few other people I read that didn't like to do
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: kicking way, But you could change it to classic. The
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: only thing I don't like is you can't change it
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: to classic all the time. You can just go and
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: do it to where it's set at Classic. You have
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: to go and do it every single game and not
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: only do you have to do it at the beginning
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: of the game, you have to do it after halftime too.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: It doesn't save your setting to where you want just that.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: So I'm not a huge fan of that part of it.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: But like I said, you could change it to classic Madden,
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: so that works for me. I did try kicking on
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: it for a little while to see if I would
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: get used to it, and I did it, so I
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: just I don't like it, and so yeah, I just
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: went with like, yeah, I just didn't like it. So
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: I'm hoping eventually they change that part of it, I
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: go back to like a more classic kick, or they
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: change it to make it better. But yeah, so that
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: is my opinion on that part. The gameplay is smooth.
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: Everything on there is pretty decent. I never had a
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: problem with it. So the team rosters are perfect, everything's in.
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: The only thing that was weird is but I think
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: I did it wrong. Ben Johnson is in the game,
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: but I picked myself to like start a new coach
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: and I ended up naming him Ben Johnson. But I
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: didn't realize you could use the current coach, which was
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: Ben Jonson either, so I ended up switching that. But
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: I had to like do a resign thing and then
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: go in and do it again. So I just did
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: it that way. But I'd take you the Bears right
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: now to like a ten and three record. The gameplay
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: is awesome. I don't have any issues with the game
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: at all. In fact, I like it. The only thing
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: I said is I wish they would just do it
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: like a fortnight instead of making me buy a brand
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: new one every year, just update it every year. Just
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: make me pay twenty bucks thirty bucks. I pay thirty
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: bucks to redo that to get to do roster or
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: if you want to play with an old roster, you
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: do that too. But I don't know why anybody would
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: want to. But yeah, I give it a solid nine
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: out of ten. I think it's a really fun game.
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: I think that there's you know, a lot of good
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: and I don't see much bad. Like I said, the
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: kicking is bad, audio is good. I enjoyed the music
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: on there, all the music songs they picked for it.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: I enjoy the announcers, you know, as they switch them
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: up too. It's not just same two announcers every game.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: They have like a different set of announcers every game,
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: so it changes like basically like your NFL would do
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: it on their say, you know, every week, if you're
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: on CBS, you're not gonna have the same announcers as Fox,
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: so you know it makes sense that way. I like that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: So we're gonna have some fun. Now we're gonna move
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: on to something funnier. I found this last night while
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: I was just looking around on the internet, and I
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: thought it was pretty cool and I think people would
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: like it. What was the slang most popular slang word
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: on the year you were born. I'm gonna start it
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: from nineteen seventy, and we're gonna go all the way
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: to twenty twenty five, and we're gonna see how many
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: of these slang words we still use to this day. Okay,
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: because I don't know a lot of people who were
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: born before nineteen seventies, Okay, not a lot, not like
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: there used to be, So you know, obviously we're gonna
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: start here, all right. Nineteen seventy slang word was dorky
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: says It's the term that never really died out as
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: an alternative or nerd nineteen seventy one dead heads. Those
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: are people who followed the grateful ben and that's when
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: it started around nineteen seventy one is when it got popular.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: And I watch a guy on TikTok. His name is
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: Tom Powell Junior. He followed the Dead in the eighties.
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: In the nineties he followed them. No wait, no, not
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: in the eighties. That was like the nineties. When he
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: got older, he wanted he followed them all around. Then
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: he would stay where they stopped, take a break, and
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: then he'd follow them again until he finally just said,
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: I got get a real job and go out there
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: and do something. But yeah, all right. So nineteen seventy
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: two guilt trip. We still use that to this day.
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: We still use dead Heads too. Carbo was nineteen seventy three,
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: a reference to a carb. Interestingly enough, the Atkins Diet
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: makes its debut the year before that, So the Atkins
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: Diet's been around since nineteen seventy one. I think a
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: lot of people are seventy two. I don't think a
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: lot of people knew that. Nineteen seventy four Motorhead someone
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: who really likes motorcycles. The next year is the name
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: of a great band. So Motorhead in nineteen seventy five
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: used what was a slang word and use it as
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: their group name. Nineteen seventy five, the year my wife
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: was born. In d Times says this one had two meanings.
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: One was for the burgende in California health scene and
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: the detext juice cleansers and diets that will become popular.
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: But the other one was for the increased need for
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: alcohol and drugg treatment. So when you go to a
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: drug facility to detox, that's what that is. Let's see
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: in nineteen seventy six, hardball a ruthless business jargon. Everybody
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: knows that one he was at he hardballed him into
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: doing what he wanted him to do. Nineteen seventy seven.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: Bruski still use it to this day. When you have
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: a beer, you're having a Bruski. Nineteen seventy eight. We
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: use the word pig out. That was the big slang
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: word back there. Pick out nineteen seventy eight. Nineteen seventy nine.
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: Nostalgia fest. As boomers get older, so does their desire
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: to live backwards. History repeats itself, doesn't it. Yes, Because
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: now we say nostalgia fest to things in the nineties
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: and the early two thousands of the eighties, But back
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: in nineteen seventy nine. It was people who were probably
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: in their thirties in the forties. Looking back into the
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: thirties and forties, that's crazy. Let's see nineteen eighty my
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: birth year. Frizzy. That was the big slang word, frizzy.
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: Her hair was frizzy, perms were frizzy. Nineteen eighty one.
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: Chill pill. We still use that to this day. I
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: tell people all the time, take a chill pill nineteen
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: eighty two, and it's got codain and the barbarian arnols
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: schwartzen air. Buff. We still use that to this day.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: That dude looks buff. Look at his arms, he's buff.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: Nineteen eighty three. Beatbox.
- 1:08:40Speaker 10: Oh, everybody knows that one. Everybody beat boxes. My son,
- 1:08:53Speaker 10: he loves a beatbox.
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: But it was a musical landscape in the eighties and
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: ninetiesineteen eighty four, Major sixteen Candles brought this word into
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: the public conscience, which describe people and things with that
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: of a kind of enthusiasm that you can only manage
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: as a team. Major nineteen eighty five. Radness. We said radness.
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: I was five, so I probably didn't use that yet.
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: But the nineties, the nineteen eighties were all about being rad.
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: Let's see nineteen eighty six Stud Muffin. First time we
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: used the word stud muffin, and it's funny because they
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: have Denzel Washington and a dog. One of the doctor
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: shows that he was in back in eighty six, as
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: Stud Muffin say's a handsome man like the eternally handsome
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: Denzel Washington nineteen eighty seven. Couch surfing Now the ki
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: where you sleep on a friend's couch when you stay over,
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: but what happens when you just sit around and watch
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: TV all day? That was surfing nineteen eighty eight. F bomb,
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: called such because of its ability to shock. The more
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: acceptable way of saying. One of the words on George
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: Carlin's List of words you Can't say nineteen eighty nine.
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: Trash talk that got big in the eighties. That's football players,
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: basketball players, but the phrase jumped from the world of sports.
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: In nineteen ninety. Gary Payton, the mozart of trash talking,
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: would be drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics. This year is
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: also when Bogus died in our vocabulary, so bogus started
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: that year. But the big one was trash talking, and
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: that was Gary Payton, the Glove nineteen ninety cool, But
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: it wasn't the word cool with the seed. It was
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: k e w L. People used to spell it cool.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: I remember that I was ten years old. Says nothing
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: says cool like alternative spellings, especially if you're a young
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: teen describing your awesome new game boy Dude cool nineteen
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: ninety one. Tighty whities, Yeah, those were Tom Cruise and
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: Risky Business. When he slid out in his work shirt
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: and his underpants. He had his tidy whiteies on. Nobody
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: will ever forget that. Nineteen ninety two. Not everybody knows that,
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: including Borat, started on the SNL sketch for Wayne's World.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: I Want to Go and be a Boomer. Not everybody.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: Everybody remembers that. Come on nineteen ninety three, Da Bomb.
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: People still use it to this day. That TV show
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: is the Bomb. That album was the Bomb. Let's see
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: twinty four Benjamins. It's all about the Benjamins because Benjamin
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: Franklin was on the one hundred dollars bill. It's all
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: about the Benjamin's Baby. That was the notorious BIG's One
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: More Chance. Let's see nineteen ninety five. Everybody remembers Share
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: from Clueless as If, everybody's favorite scene when she was
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: talking about boys in high school and the one like
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: raps his arm around her and she's like, oh, get
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: off me as If. And she reprised that in the
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: thirtieth anniversary of that this year. That was thirty years ago,
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: nineteen ninety six. Whatever. That was another big one from
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: Clueless nineteen ninety seven. Jiggy, That was Will Smith. He
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: made us get jiggy with it, and that's where the
- 1:12:58Speaker 5: word became big nineteen ninety eight, Fat pH Fat Fat
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: nineteen ninety nine, she had the bling, You had the
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: blame back then. That was a big word of nineteen
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: ninety nine. They were talking about bling or blinage two
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: thousand was that was the big one. Budweiser added from
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: nineteen ninety nine, but it got popular in the year
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: two thousand. Everybody was saying, was that And you can't
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: do that unless your tongue is hanging out while you're
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: saying it. You gotta go hey, was that? Oh this
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: bring me that brings me back? Two thousand and one.
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: Romance There was a romance between two dudes, a love
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: affair of dudeness. We used to call it a romance,
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: let's see and two Hella like right now, they got
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: a picture of Gwen Stefani and she looks hella hots,
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: So there you go. Hella. That was the big word
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: bag then, but it was inspired by No Doubt's two
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: thousand and one hit Hella Good two thousand and three.
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: Everybody called them that then and they still do now. Peeps,
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: we're not talking about the little marshmallow candy goodness. We're
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: talking about peeps like you're my peep. I love you,
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: You're my peep. Let's see those people who listen to
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: this show. You're all my peeps U two thousand and four.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: Muffin top used throughout the early two thousands, much like
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: a whale tail. This phrase grew up popularity as low
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: rise skinny jeans grew in popularity. You can see their
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: muffin top still to this day. Two thousand and five,
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: My man snoop dog faux shizzle and fau cheesy, and
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: we still use it today. You want to go to
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: the do you want to go to the store of
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: meat for shizzle? We don't use it as much, but
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: it's another way to say for sure. Two thousand and six, sick,
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: that's sick, like like I just had COVID and STRIP
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: this week, sick because I did. That's why I was
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: home all week from work with Strip and COVID. It stuck.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: But this sick was a good sick, Like did you
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: see his new car? It's sick, that's what it means.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: Two thousand and seven gift. That was when gifts started.
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: I didn't even know that GIF gift. Everyone sends them
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: in text messages and hits the messenger. Let's see two
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: thousand and eight photo bottom. That's where you jump into
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: your friend's picture when you weren't asked to be in it,
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: or a strangers. A lot of celebrities do it when
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: they go to stuff and they're walking past a wedding.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: They like jump into a picture with the Brian room.
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: Do you imagine, Like I can just imagine I'm getting
- 1:16:07Speaker 5: married to my wife and all of a sudden in
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: my picture jumps Matthew mcconughey, Like that'd be the coolest shit.
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: That'd be sick, all right. Let's see salty, but not
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: too salty, like what real salt salty as in man,
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: he didn't get what he wanted. He's very salty. Twenty ten.
- 1:16:31Speaker 5: Af we already know means as f word. We already
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: know this, but I use it all the time. Af
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: by This became popular with Beyonce. But yeah, bey is
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: another word for your boot, like she's my bane. Twenty
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: twelve Catfish when the show Catfish got really popular and
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: people started to realize that people who are scamming you
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: you are catfishers. Catfishing went out for decades and decades.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: It didn't become really known until the show Game On,
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: but people were catfished in the early two thousands, even
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: in the nineties. It just we didn't have a term
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: for it yet. Twenty thirteen binge watch. When it started
- 1:17:21Speaker 5: becoming popular for Netflix and all that, and people started
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: watching stuff like Netflix, Streamy and all that. You would
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: binge a series. Original series were coming out and you
- 1:17:31Speaker 5: would binge watch it. Let's see twenty fourteen Shook. He
- 1:17:36Speaker 5: got shook. He saw that ghost and it got him shook.
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: Twenty fifteen Ghosts. I went out a date with him.
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: It was going really nice. He liked me, he said
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: he wanted to take me out again, and then I
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: never heard from him again. He ghosted me. Stuck to
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: be ghosted as a guy or girl. I've been ghosted before.
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: It was terrible. It was on my birthday one year.
- 1:18:01Speaker 5: A girl was supposed to hang out with me for
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: my birthday. It was before I met my wife. She
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: was supposed to hang out with me. She ghosted me,
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: never never called, texted for my birthday until the next day,
- 1:18:15Speaker 5: and she knew it was my birthday, but she was
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: too busy couldn't text me back. Twenty sixteen. T Spill
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: the tea, give me the news. There's another word for
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: it too, some wi cheese. But tea is the bigg one.
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: Spill the tea. I want to know the tea. All right,
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: let's move on twenty seventeen. Clap back. Clap back means
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: I'm gonna come back at you when you do something,
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: So if you say something, I'm gonna clap back twenty eighteen.
- 1:18:50Speaker 5: Woke people still use this words the wrong way to
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: this day. Woke as a person is someone who is
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: educated and sensitive on top surrounding race, sexual orientation, gender identity,
- 1:19:04Speaker 5: and other issues. That is the true meaning of woke.
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: It's not what these idiots think. It is so all
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: you morons that don't know how to use the word woke.
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: I just gave you the real definition of it. Now
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: you should know how to use it. Let's see Stan
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: twenty nineteen. And the funny thing is this came out
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: and I'm a I'm song way back in like two
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: thousand and one or two thousand and three, something like that.
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: The term stand. So the term stan is somebody who's
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: like a stalker who stalks you. If he stalks you,
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: he's a stand Let's see twenty twenty extra stop being
- 1:19:51Speaker 5: so extra, you do too much. You're extra twenty twenty one.
- 1:19:58Speaker 5: Cap or no cap. Cap means you're lying. No cap
- 1:20:04Speaker 5: means you're telling the truth. Let's see twenty twenty two.
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: Opp or open Carpool Karaoke, It says Nicki Minajschad James Cordan.
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: The meaning of this term in April episode of Carpool
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: Karaoke ops means opposition anybody that's opposing you. As an
- 1:20:30Speaker 5: OP twenty twenty three, riz as they're showing Tom Holland
- 1:20:39Speaker 5: Sharper charisma. This word became popular this year. It got
- 1:20:43Speaker 5: added to the Oxford English Dictionary. They to finance style,
- 1:20:47Speaker 5: charm or attractiveness. There you go. Let's see, Oh that's it.
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: They only go up to twenty twenty three. There's like
- 1:20:59Speaker 5: twenty twenty four, twenty twenty five. This list must have
- 1:21:02Speaker 5: came out. Oh that's things. So I guess we're gonna
- 1:21:04Speaker 5: have to wait. You know what. My favorite word twenty
- 1:21:07Speaker 5: twenty five is y. I love Jimmy U or jaw
- 1:21:14Speaker 5: so with Y. So I like that. Alright, So let's
- 1:21:18Speaker 5: move on. We are almost done. Let's go into I
- 1:21:21Speaker 5: hope I took you back with some nostalgia on words
- 1:21:24Speaker 5: that you know, or maybe if you have parents that
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: were born in the years that I was in the eighties,
- 1:21:31Speaker 5: you'll learn what those words are that they use, because obviously,
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: you know, if you're young and you're listening to this,
- 1:21:37Speaker 5: you probably don't know what some of those words mean.
- 1:21:39Speaker 5: I just taught you. All right, let's move on.
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: Two.
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: What's going on this weekend? Any good fest going on?
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: I'm not going to no fest this weeknet I was
- 1:21:56Speaker 5: sick with COVID literally COVID had struck through. Started feeling
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: sick out Monday, went to the doctor on Tuesday. I
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: worked Sunday of last week. Then Monday I woke up
- 1:22:08Speaker 5: and I was sick as a dog. My wife had
- 1:22:11Speaker 5: COVID starting the Friday of the week before. I was fine. Sunday,
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: went into work, did my shift during the day, came home,
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: fell fine, watched the Bears. I was screaming at the
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: TV and good. Next morning, I woke up and it
- 1:22:25Speaker 5: hit me like a bunch of bricks. I felt like
- 1:22:28Speaker 5: total garbage all day. Monday. Stayed home from work, put
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: in a leaf for the week because I figured, I'm like, well,
- 1:22:35Speaker 5: if my wife had COVID, I probably got it too.
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: So I went to the doctor on Tuesday and took
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: a test for COVID strip and RSV and all that stuff.
- 1:22:47Speaker 5: And the two that came back positive COVID and strapped throat.
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: So I had both. So that stuck. But what are
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: you gonna do? So this weekend I gotta go back
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: towards Sunday. But I'm just relaxing this weekend and we're
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: just doing stuff at home and then do our normal
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: shop for the week, and then Sunday I rest all
- 1:23:12Speaker 5: day because it works. So that's all we're doing this weekend, alright.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: So let's see what's going on for you guys though
- 1:23:20Speaker 5: that don't have COVID and stuff. All right. So eight

- 1:28:28Speaker 5: thing we go over is let's see how everything did
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: at the box office? All right, eighty eight minutes already
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: on the show. And if you're still here, thank you,
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: I love you. We're staying this long. I mean, we're
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: doing some good stuff today though. All right, So let's
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: see what the box office did last week, because I
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: can find I need to move it down to the
- 1:29:01Speaker 5: bottom because I use it like every week. All Right,
- 1:29:04Speaker 5: here we go top box office for last week. Let's
- 1:29:07Speaker 5: see what the number one movie was alright, So number
- 1:29:12Speaker 5: ten was a movie called Kooli, who was in its
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: first week out. It did two point five million weekend
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: and total gross last week. Number nine was f one.
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: The movie did a weekend gross of two point seven million,
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: total growth of one hundred and eighty four million in
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: eight weeks. You'd also watched that movie streaming for like
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: twenty dollars on Exfinity or any of those too. Let's
- 1:29:38Speaker 5: see Jurassic World actually f one the movie maybe not.
- 1:29:41Speaker 5: I didn't see that one up there. Jurassic World Rebirth,
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: which came in number eight last week, is already streaming
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: on Exfinity. I'm thinking of watching it soon. Let's see
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: we've got in seven weeks. It did three million and
- 1:29:54Speaker 5: weekend gross last weekend and a total gross of three
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: hundred and thirty three million. The Naked Gun came in
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: at number seven, did a weekend gross a four point
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: nine million, forty three million total gross. In three weeks
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: at number six. Superman still hanging out in the top ten.
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: In six weeks. It did three hundred and forty two
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: million dollars total gross a weekend gross a five point
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: three million last week at number five. The kids movie
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: The Bad Guys Too, did seven point five million on
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: the weekend fifty nine million total gross in three weeks.
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: It is already streaming. You can buy it or rent it.
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: You can rent it on Exfinity for like. I think
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: it's like twenty bucks if you just want to stay
- 1:30:45Speaker 5: home and watch it. The Fantastic four First Steps did
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: a weekend gross of nine million, two hundred and fifty
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: total million dollars in total gross in four weeks. Number
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: three was Nobody Too. In its first week it did
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: nine point three million, eleven million total gross in one week.
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: Freak Here Friday and at second week out did fourteen
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: million weekend gross fifty eight million total gross. Go for
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: Lindsay Lohan and the Beautiful Jamie Lee Curtis. And then
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: the number one movie at the box office last week
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: was Weapons did twenty four million total gross ninety five
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: million in two weeks. So not bad at all. All movies,
- 1:31:33Speaker 5: these are all the movies I want to see eventually
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: when they come out. I just don't go to see
- 1:31:37Speaker 5: him in the movie Nobody Too. I've never heard of.
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: Oh okay, suburban Dad. Here, let's see what this is.
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: Suburban Dad hutch Mansell, a former lethal assassin, has pulled
- 1:31:50Speaker 5: back into his violent pass after thwarting a home invasion,
- 1:31:54Speaker 5: setting off a chain of events that unravels secrets about
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: his wife, Beca's past, and his own. A good movie.
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: I'll definitely see that when it comes out streaming. But
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: I don't watch them for twenty bucks. I wait till
- 1:32:06Speaker 5: they go to like HBO max Is. Eventually they will
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: go to Paramount, they'll go to Hulu, they'll go to
- 1:32:13Speaker 5: all that. Next week we're gonna find out. In fact,
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: let me see, Yeah, next week we got a big show.
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: I'm just gonna tell you now. Next week is gonna
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: be a huge show. Next week, I am going to
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: talk football. I'm gonna tell everybody my fantasy team, because
- 1:32:31Speaker 5: I picked my fantasy team this week, so we'll talk
- 1:32:33Speaker 5: fantasy football. I'll tell everybody what team I got. We're
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: going to talk the week one of college. We're gonna
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: go through all those games and I'm gonna pick my winners.
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: It's like I always do. We're gonna do that next week,
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: and then we're also going to do the NFL. We're
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: gonna talk to Bears. We're gonna talk about their season.
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: I'm gonna go game by game and say if I
- 1:32:58Speaker 5: think they're gonna win or lose and why. We'll talk
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: about that. We'll talk about this week's preseason matchups that
- 1:33:04Speaker 5: we talked about. We'll see who won the last preseason
- 1:33:07Speaker 5: games and how some of our favorites did that played.
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: Next week, we will talk on NASCAR standings because the
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: NASCAR playoffs are going to be starting in the next
- 1:33:17Speaker 5: few weeks here, so we'll talk about that. I'll give
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: my predictions for the new the clash in Paris. I'll
- 1:33:26Speaker 5: give my predictions for that. We'll talk about that. We'll
- 1:33:30Speaker 5: talk about box office, We'll talk about all the all
- 1:33:33Speaker 5: the fests going on next weekend. So we got a
- 1:33:35Speaker 5: lot of stuff to talk about next week. It's gonna
- 1:33:37Speaker 5: be a fun show, so make sure you come in
- 1:33:39Speaker 5: for that. If you're just coming in and learn about
- 1:33:42Speaker 5: my show, welcome. Listen to some of the old shows.
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: Hopefully they get better every week than I do this.
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: Starting the week after week one, so to be a Tuesday,
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: I'll be restarting my Bears show every week. So every so,
- 1:34:00Speaker 5: if it's a Sunday game, I'll do it on Monday.
- 1:34:05Speaker 5: If it's a Monday game, I'll do it on a Tuesday.
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: If it's a Friday game, I'll probably do it Friday
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: night because I don't want to do anything on a
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: Saturday morning. They only have one Friday game this year,
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: and that's the Black Friday Game, So I'll be doing
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: the show that Friday night and releasing it right away
- 1:34:25Speaker 5: that Friday night, And if it's a Thursday, then I'll
- 1:34:28Speaker 5: do the show on Friday. So basically, it's the Chiciago
- 1:34:31Speaker 5: Bears after show. If you want to listen to last
- 1:34:33Speaker 5: seasons to kind of catch yourself up on what I
- 1:34:36Speaker 5: do on there, it's pretty simple. I talk about what
- 1:34:39Speaker 5: happened at the game, score the stats, talk about the
- 1:34:42Speaker 5: next week's game, and you know how I feel about
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: the state of the team. So that's what we do.
- 1:34:48Speaker 5: All right, everybody, I'm taking off for now. I will
- 1:34:51Speaker 5: see everybody later until next week. I will see everybody's then.
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: I love you all. Peace. Oh and you've been Rickle.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: You're no strangers, too bad. You know the rules and so.
