- Elephants: we were trying to figure out if having poop friends was necessary in your life. And The start is a group chat called Elephants, which makes sense. Because we never forget and because nobody knows when to let it go. Hi everybody, welcome to our first episode of Raised Different. Woo! We are going to introduce you to the herd. And I'm gonna go first. My name is Shelly. I am the oldest in our group. so I come with the most wisdom. Sure. So she says. I am so wise. I think her nose is growing. I can't even get my intro out, man. I am currently married. I've been married for 20 plus years. I have I like how she says currently married. I'm currently married. I I have only been married to one person for 20 plus years. I have two boys. I have a dog and four cats. It's the Wild Kingdom at my house. I grew up in a pretty conservative household. I grew up going to church every Sunday. If the doors were open we were there. and I've kind of brought that into our families. So we go to church every Sunday. we're we're on the more religious side than probably some of these ladies. And I I will probably lean into that often. I grew up in a house with an older sister and a younger brother. I was the middle child, so I have the middle child syndrome sometimes. I always forget about that. Yeah, I feel left out and people have super secret meetings without me. So yes, I I have middle child syndrome. You have FOMO. I yes, you have deeply rooted FOMO. I definitely have lots of FOMO which is why I cannot Say no to a challenge. Challenge accepted. Yes. I will do that. Yes. One day we'll have to tell the story of you falling on your head. That that's for another day. Okay. But yes, we will definitely tell the embarrassing stories. The headstand challenge. Yes. Yes, we'll tell that eventually. I married a man who has a very loud and wild family and that took quite a bit of getting used to. So I c I come from a more quiet We don't share a lot of feelings family and his family is we share all of our feelings and we talk about everything and everyone at the dinner table. So it was quite the pairing and I'm sure we'll talk about that. Yeah. Italian descent. I think that's an important yes, lots of feelings, lots of hand she's doing the Italian hand. Yeah, the Italian hand s signals. Mamma mia. We don't say Mamma Mia. We're like, so that's a little bit about me. I'm going to pass this on to Christina. yes. my name is Christina. I am the second oldest in this group, which matches up with my sibling group as well. I'm also the second oldest there. I have a daughter. And I raised her as a single mom since birth. We currently have two dogs and a bunny. Mr. Theo. Let's not forget him. I spent some time in the US Army and then jumped into corporate America where I've happily been for many years. I have a college degree at every level and now am knee deep into a doctorate program. Woo! So smart. Smarty pants. She's our smart friend. She's our smart friend. Question my vocabulary, I'm sure. She speaks Crontonese. You'll hear that eventually. Yes. in my downtime I enjoy working out, running, crafting, and now I'm getting ready to be the best Mimi possible within the next year. Yeah, we're calling her grandma crunchy. We just want her to own the name. Yes. She's going for the meme. Grandma Crunchy. It's not gonna happen. I mean it might happen in the house, but it's it's grandma crunchy to us. That's right. I mean, at the end of the day, it's gonna be whatever this child And if we have any influence over this child, it's gonna be grandma crunchy. Grandma Crunchy. Yeah. Right. We're just gonna get the sh they're they're just gonna call you crunchy. Yeah. Whatever it is. Whatever comes out, comes out, that's what it is. That's right. Yeah. That's a little bit about me. so I'm next then. So I'm Evan, I'm the third youngest or third I I don't know. I fall after Shelly and Christina. That's that's all that's me, Christina, Evan. Yes, yes. And I'm also married, been married for well, we've been together for twenty three years, so that we'd be married for eighteen this year. Me and my husband live on some acreage where we have two dogs and a whole bunch of horses. She lives on a farm. It's a farm. I live on a farm. It's a horse farm though. no other animals. Yeah, I'm not into chickens or goats. Goats. No, Not into that. I think you need chickens. I don't think so. I I think you need chickens. I don't need them in my life. I can't talk to anybody into chickens. Yeah. It sounds like a lot of work. So I stick strictly to horses because I in my spare time I ride That sounds like a lot of work. And sometimes compete just hasn't seemed to work for me lately. and I know we're we're based in Texas. We're all based in Texas, but I actually don't ride Western. I ride English, specifically right now dressage, which the ladies like to make fun of me. They call it dancing horses, but it's not too far off. So And she has a hobby horse. I do have a hobby horse, but I will not be hobby horsing. No, Evan, please. I just want to see you do one hobby horse competition. It's not happening. Please. No. You would be so good at it. No, I wouldn't. That's what's funny is you keep saying I'd be good at it. I can't even run. Are you kidding? I'd be the slowest the slowest horse possible Bobby horse competitor in the world. I'm sure you would be entertained. Yeah. At what at what expense? Yeah. No. And Shelley talked about being conservative and I feel like I'm on the other side of the spectrum. I feel like Christina's kind of in the middle. She's the balancer of me and Shelley and I'm more liberal. Vastly different We're very far apart. I did not grow up religious. as a matter of fact, my mom always felt like I should find my own way when it came to religion. She was not religious. So I even tried out churches in my young teenage years. I went to a whole bunch of churches and realized that let's just say organized religion's not really for me. So that's just not something me and my husband practice. We think of the religion of sleeping in on Sundays and that seems to really work for us. And we don't have children. Like I said, we just have animal children, four legged children. That that seems to work for us. Fill your heart. Yeah. Yeah, I don't understand the people that want to have kids. Sadia? Go ahead. Okay. well that being said, my name is Sadia and I am about two decades younger than the rest of them. And I'm expecting my first. You know what I was just thinking when Evan was talking about her horses? Your baby would be such a great hobby horse. Like that would be such a great hobby horse. I think someone just needs the hobby horse in her life. It would be great to get them into it. Start early. Yeah. And it and it can't be that expensive. It's a hobby horse. I don't support this. I mean you can get them at your local Walmart. Right. I don't support this idea. Evan has one you can borrow. I can give it to you. I'll gift it back to you. I know it was a gift to me, but not to be your gift. Yeah. I am in a relationship and I am also a student who I will be graduating from the university in about six months. Super excited. Yeah, we're excited for you. And yeah, I think after that my life will just take off from there. Have a degree, have a baby. What can ask for? Big girl job? Yeah. Yes. Working that way? Yeah. Working that way. You know, honestly, none of us feel like we're big girls, so still working on it. Yeah. I mean every week's with new jobs. It really is. I still don't want to I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up. Travel a lot. Love it. Disney like every year. yeah, there is that about you. evan: Hey herd, quick favor before we get back to the conversation. If you're enjoying Rays Different, hit the like and subscribe wherever you're listening. It helps us grow the herd and trust us we need all the elephants we can get. Elephants: Alright, so let's start off episode one, how we're gonna start off all the episodes, which is gonna be the elephant in the room, where we bring up a hot topic or a story that really has sparked conversation amongst our group. So we're gonna kick it off to Sadia. So one time well we were trying to figure out if having poop friends was necessary in your life. And I had an experience at work the other day. I went to lunch. I had broccoli and cheddar soup. Girl. Bad cheese. Well and the broccoli. I had a vegetable. Vegetary, yes. The scrubbers. The scrubbers. And I was fine. I thought I let my food digest and then I had to go back to work. So then I went back on the floor and kind of immediately I was like, Mm, my stomach hurts. I didn't think I need to go potty. So I went, kinda sat there, nothing really happened. Came back out. That's the worst. Wasted time. Yes. And one of my work friends, I went up to her And I said, I think I need to go poop. She kinda looked at me funny. I think by her look, I was like, maybe I shouldn't have said that. Too far. Yeah. Too far? Too far. And she looked at me, she goes, I said, but and she said, I didn't know we were cool like that. And I said, I thought we were, so I just said it. And that was that. She said, Okay, well I'm gonna come to you next time I have to go poop. And I love that. I think everyone should be able to have that conversation. So what does this do for the types of people in your life that you could talk about this with? Do you talk about everybody do you talk to everybody about having to go poop? No. Absolutely not. Where's that line drawn? It's a sensitive topic. It's so that's so vulnerable to be able to I think it's one of those things you know when you know. There must be some trust there. Yeah. Yeah. And you just know. Yeah. You just feel it. Yeah. There's just something really freeing about having all these words. There's something free. About having friends because I like if I couldn't tell you that my tummy hurt or that food didn't sit right or I'm about to go be in the bathroom for ten minutes it would just feel awkward. I'm glad that I have people that You can share your poop stories. I can share my poop stories with you. Why is it every time we get together It somehow circles around to restroom activities. 'Cause we're poop friends. Is that what it is? yeah. Okay. Because somebody usually has to go poop. Or has a restroom related story. So speaking of restrooms, let me take it kind of weird in a weird spot. So I does anyone else feel like they have so when I go to work, there's a stall. my gosh, her stall. the stall. Is that weird? Like I feel like it's my stall to go in. It is your stall. And I do love to steal it. Yeah, I think that's rude. That's why I do it. It's my stall. I have a favorite stall too. Yeah, so go to your stall. But if I know you're coming I like to just stir the It ruins my entire poop experience process. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, well and let's be honest, also don't want someone else in there. When you're pooping. Yeah. It's there's just appropriate bathroom etiquette. Thank you. Courtesy flesh. Courtesy flesh or if someone else is in there, then I'm not gonna go right next to them. If I hate when somebody comes and sits right next to me. I'm like there are eight stalls in here. You had to choose that one? Okay. So I understand it when it's like a three stall bathroom. I I understand. But We there really is six dolls in our restroom. And they're across from each other. It's three and three across from each other. So why? Why do you sit in the middle? Yeah. I I feel like it's do you sit in the middle, Sonny? No. okay. Yeah. Like one one in, one on the other. You have to skip one. That's rule. Yeah. Yes. That's normal. You skip one. It's those unspoken rules. Yes. Yes. Yeah. What are some other unspoken rules? Skip one, courtesy flush. Courtesy flush. Do you cough? No, I just courtesy flush. Like I flush as it's As it's dropping. Yeah. Like Dropping the kids. that's like that reel that I sent the other day. Talked about all the ways that you can infer going going poop. Pushing out your breakfast to make room for lunch. I still like that. I'm stamping my shorts. yeah. I'm bingo stamping my shorts. Ew. No, too far? That that's a little you cutting it a little too close to Growing a tail? Huh? Growing a tail? I do like growing. What was the one you said yesterday? The turtle the other day, the turtle Turtlehead. Turtlehead poking off. That's the one my husband really likes to talk about. Like it's too much information. I don't want to be poop friends with you actually. With your husband? Let's back up. Yeah. Yeah. Are you poop friends with your husband? Absolutely. Yeah, I think that's weird. Okay, so there's an interesting line. Well, you're single, so I'm really curious in your take. So if you started dating someone closing the doors. Girl, she'll bother me. Right now the doors are open. Nobody comes to bother me. Well yeah, because doors are open. Yeah. I'm sure I'm sure there's communication before you come up to the door. Yes. If someone in your house needs to come up to the door, there's some communication. Yes. Yeah. But if you start dating to but if I start dating someone, the doors are shutting. Always. Yes. Okay, doors are shut, but are you talking about your experiences in the bathroom? Maybe not initially, it might take some time. Date like first dating, probably not. Yeah, probably not. I think when I first got married, we were like, We're gonna shut the door, we don't poop in front of each other. Girl, we had a one bedroom apartment. That very quickly went out the window. I'll be in the shower, he's poopin'. We have full on conversations while the other person's on the toilet. I feel like I feel like a little bit of privacy. A little like I get I can have one moment in my life where no one else gets to participate and that is definitely using the restroom. And it's not just pooping. Like peeing is also a a single person sport in my mind. Yeah. Well I also think like if you come home from a long day at work and you just need to like escape, even if you don't have to use the restroom, you can use that. As you're escaping. Just go sit and recollect your thoughts and scroll. So how is that different than if you're like out with a group of your friends and somebody's going to the restroom? Right. And you're talking in the stall. As girls, we all go together. We go together. Like, come on, let's go, right? So where do you draw that line? It's different for me. Are you like, do you prefer like, no, I'm just going. I'm just Is it because there's a stall to separate you? No, because I hate when John's the comes to the other side of the door and says, What are you doing? What do you think I'm doing? Yeah, I know the door's closed. What else do we do? Yeah. I'm watching car wheels. Like, leave me alone. I'm working out. Mine is my kids. They like to come in and be like, Mom, what are you doing? That's really rude. Really? They can't where's their dad? Go talk to your dad. They probably passed their dad on their way to come ask me what I'm doing. something to look forward to. Yeah. Hmm. just wait. Those first couple years I probably had one of my kids sitting on my lap while I was going to the bathroom. Cause I had a A plus cleaner as a kid. Yes. I was never alone raising my child. Yeah. Doors open. Yeah. There she was. Yep. Things to look forward to. So I prefer privacy, but I don't get a lot of it. I would prefer not to have somebody in there. But I can still take care of business with somebody in there. So you do great in a prison situation? Great. Yeah. I mean when you gotta go, you gotta go. Yeah, I know that's true. That's very true. How do you feel about 'cause I know some of us have traveled abroad and I think Shelley it was you that talked about in Italy they don't have micro seats. How do you feel about no toilet seats? Yeah, so it's just like the toilet the porcelain. No seat on it. That's so gross to me. You mean like the hole in the ground? Or or there's a hole in the ground. Yeah. Straddle that hole and hope it makes it. I would be screwed. I've only ever had to pee in one of those. I don't know if I could poop in one of those. Well I mean it's it is the squatty potty basically. Yeah, but it's like you're not sitting, you're just you're just squatting. Squatting, yeah. I don't know if my muscles could handle it. It'd be like Yeah. I don't be a lot of straining, not just trying to poop, but it's a whole workout at that point. Yes. Like it's a whole body workout trying to poop that way. 'Cause I feel like you hit a certain age and hovering is no longer an option. No longer an option. Or maybe it's a certain weight, I don't know. But both maybe. Hovering's no longer an option. I think it's very hard, like people say like, it's safer to to hover so you're not touching bacteria and whatever. But it's so hard to not Good for you to hover. It's so hard to do that when you're short. But I've heard it's not good for you to short girl. Tall. Like you know how far you have to I I often feel like so I am not gargantuan, I'm like over six foot, but I She's taller than all of us. Yes, I'm pretty tall. And I feel like trying to hover over a normal height toilet feels like I'm trying to sit on the floor. Or like the one at Shelly's house. Yes, the one at Shelley's house that's like a little kid's toilet. It's like going to an elementary school and trying to be over their toilet. What? We're short at our house. Yeah, I think. Okay. So we got short toilets so that my legs weren't dangling when I went to the bathroom. Dangling? Dangling. You act like the toilets like horrible. You are not four feet tall. Yeah, she also acts like she She's a very small person and she's not. I'm so tiny. No. No ma'am. You're not that short. That's pretty funny. I mean but really I've heard that hovering is bad for you. Like you don't empty well. I don't I don't know all the s I'd have to look it Well, you have to like pull your your your knees to your chest or not that high butt. Okay. They would be to her chest. She also is not that tall. What are you talking about? She would probably finally be at a 90 degree angle. Like on a normal toilet, her she's probably not. Like her her her feet probably do dangle. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. Maybe. Some toilets. Anyone sit on the toilet and scroll long enough for their feet to fall asleep? No, but I get the red marks on my thighs. I really don't want to answer this question, but yes, that has happened before. And you try and stand up and you're like, my god Like dragging a leg Okay hovering over a po chat GPT to the rescue. Hovering over a public toilet isn't recommended if you can avoid it. It puts extra strain on your pelvic floor muscles and ladies, we need to keep those tight those tight. Yes. You may not fully empty your bladder. It could be harder on your knees and hips. So the long story, don't hover. I wonder why it that's a very common thing in other countries. 'Cause bacteria and you don't want to spread vitamins. I don't think they're hovering though, they're actually squatting. Are you gonna ask Chat GPT that question too? Is squatting a good pooping position than hovering. From hovering. I mean the challenge of also like not making a mess on your clothes, like it's a whole deal. Hovering means you're holding yourself just above the toilet seat in a particular squat. Your thighs, glutes, and pelvic floor muscles stay engaged to keep you balanced. Because your pelvic floor doesn't fully relax, it can make it harder to completely empty your bladder. Squatting means you're in a deep squat with your feet firmly on the ground. In this position, your pelvic floor muscles can relax more naturally and your hips and knees are more deeply flexed. This position can make it easier to both empty your bladder and your bowels. Okay. And that is why we have a squatty potty at home. We got short little toilets and squatty potties. Little baby toilets. Adding that to the Amazon order. Yes. You can look forward to that for Christmas, Sonny. It's a cart. Yeah. We'll get you very owned. Especially in my Elster. Yes. Yes. That's pretty funny. You're gonna end up with three of So what about the girls that went 'cause when you go into the restroom at some restrooms have the liners. Yes. Yes. And I hear people pull the liners. Did There are any of y'all liner girlies? Not usually. No. Me neither. I'm not that worried about. No. It's on my rear. Like I'll look at it and if there's stuff on it, I will wipe it or move. Move. Move. Yeah. Move is my first option. Yes. Go to another stall. Hope it's cleaner. Yeah. that's my only option. I'm gonna take a lot of toilet paper and wet the seed before I sit down. Yeah. That's one thing that I've always gone into the habit of Here recently, because it's happened. Check to make sure there's toilet paper. Before you do anything else. Is there a story here that we need to hear? It's actually almost happened the other day. I was at an airport and I went in, it's busy, it's bustling with people. and I walk into a stall that became open, and I check, and I was like, hmm, that's weird. Somebody just came out of here and there's no paper. I wonder if they had paper. Did they use the last of the paper? I don't know. Did they just drip dry? and so I I walked out. Fortunately there was people there cleaning it. Yeah. and she was like, my god, I can't believe I hadn't noticed and she attended to it right away. but yes, I've had an experience where there's no paper and I'm like good thing I had my phone 'cause sometimes I don't know where my phone is. And I was able to You text your travel partner to bring you. Was able to contact someone to bring me some paper. So those less lessons are have been learned to make sure that there's always paper at the stall. Speaking of paper, do you want to tell the audience your weird fascination with toilet paper? Toilet paper. Your brand of toilet paper. The brand of toilet paper that I prefer has a soft side versus a not so soft side. You know what, it's funny, I used her bathroom the other day and she's right. Her toilet paper does have a soft side and rough side. But normal toilet paper does not have a soft side and rough side. Which is also why I prefer to put the paper on the roll a certain direction. The wrong way. Which seems to be You put it on the wrong way. There is a right way to put toilet paper on it. There's no right or wrong. It just goes on the thing. I don't have the right. I mean, ma'am, yes. If there's a right way and a wrong way. It should come over the roll, not behind the roll. It's it's Yes. And what's your reasoning? Because it's easier to pull out. It doesn't hit the floor. It's not also touching the cabinet or whatever you hang your toilet paper thing on. Like there's I f I feel like it's the right way. Plus your wall dispens. At least it made it to the dispenser. Because, you know, I grew up in a a family of six and it just went on the back of the yeah, you're wondering where the paper is with the thing with the dispenser empty. So I'd just be glad to have it on the dispenser. Hmm. I do have a preference nowadays, but which is wrong. Which is the wrong way. Yeah. Because in order for me to wrap the paper, I I need to have the soft side touch the booty. What? You want the rough side touching your booty? Well what if you need scrubbers? I really can't tell the difference when I use shells of toilet paper if it's a soft or the rough side. I mean, it's all kind of soft. Well you kind of rough is rough. You did just confirm though her feelings about rough versus soft. I I feel like soft versus rough isn't the right word. I feel like one side is smooth. And one side is rippled. Rippled, is that the right word? That's a word. Word of the day, folks. Rippled. Wavy, like there's a design. Texture. Texture texture is probably the better word. Rippled, wavy, texture. Texture. And and chat GPT said that hanging it over is the correct way. Ooh, confirmation. I feel seen. Your feelings are valid again. Yeah, my feelings are valid, Shelly. Thank you. My feelings are valid. Mine are. Mine are too. Because you like to invalidate my feelings. That's not true. They are valid today. They're valid today. When I align with yours, they're valid. Yeah. Your feelings are valid. Noted. I also like it the incorrect way because I can like give it a little tug and then it just rolls down. How hard is your Really? It's not hard. It just makes it super simple. And then like a lot of it's the amount of paper that I need to get the job done. To get how much toilet paper do you need to get the job done? It's just a small tug. Are you a wrapper or a folder? No, a wrapper or a crumbler. Or a cr crumbler. Scruncher. Scruncher. Crumblder. Crumble. Has to be So do you do like around your hand and then it's flat? Yes, so it'll end up it'll I'll end up with a piece that's long. How long? Like how many squares? I'll take it. Four squares. And usually the width of the paper is not gonna get the job done. For the audience, just to let them know, she she showed about a two foot section of toilet paper with her hand. That seems very long putting it. That seems very long. That's like eight sheets, eight eight squares. Hey, don't judge her. Remember hey, don't no she made a money. She She got she got that money. She just she just pulling toilet paper off the roll. It's just toilet paper, guys. Just toilet paper. I'm like, y'all get four squares. That's expensive paper. I don't love it so much. I would be up a pre You buy the H E B brand and you get four squares and then wash your hands when you're done. And then you you overlap it so that it there's it makes it wider. Right? Instead of Yeah, you have a science to this. And then you wrap it. That is too much work. No. I'm I'm sitting there it's I mean there's scrolling. Crumble it up and wipe away your crumbler. I'm a crumbler. I'm crumbler. I am too. I'm not a wrapper. I just wrap around my hand. See, I just crumble to make sure my hand's protected, basically. And then I'm ready to go. Like, but we probably I think we end up using about the same. I know it's probably about the same. Wrapping versus crumbling. Okay, are y'all wet white people? Ooh. I want to be a wet white people, but bougie bougie. I just can't I cannot see spending the money on it. I've become a wet white person. I completely understand why people do b bidets. I would love a bidet in my house. I've never actually used one. We we just had an experience with one. Where? Not too long ago. Where? abroad. And I don't know if it was working properly, but when we turned it on, it sprayed water everywhere. Well you to be sitting on You're supposed to be sitting on it, yeah. So it can clean your spray 'cause it's like a water fountain if you're not sitting on it. Clean your nether regions. Yeah. like power wash you're I was too afraid to try it. And then really and then if I have to dry myself like there's no way I'm drying myself with toilet paper. It's gonna get all like now you're supposed to have a booty towel. Ew. I I'm not on that page, ma'am. Well would you clean yourself you clean yourself on the bidet. Okay. Right? And then you go from the toilet you just did your business. You go straight away to the bidet. Yes. I mean you could do some wiping in the toilet. But you it never really need to. It never really cleans it well. You can a hundred percent tell we're not Europeans. Yeah. Yes. Definitely. What I would do is I would go to the bathroom, I would probably clean myself with toilet paper, and then I would go to the bidet and wash up. Okay. And then use a little booty towel. To dry up. Maybe I'll try it next time I see one. Dry yourself using some of them have a built in per chat. Perch at you. Some of them have a built in warm air dryer. no, that sounds no. Did not have that. Too bougie. You don't want No. No, thank you. my gosh. One time we went to a place, we took the horses to a place that was kind of like glamping, and they had an outhouse and the outhouse had an exhaust fan that went Like you know, in a a traditional outhouse you're peeing or pooping into just a hole in the ground. A hole in the ground and it had an exhaust band so that it kept air moving. So as you're sitting there, it feels like someone is like blowing across your no no squares. It was totally off putting. I did not like it. You're like, no. I can't go it's like where wind should not be blowing. It didn't allow me to zen into and this has been so long ago that scrolling wasn't a thing. so you couldn't distract yourself. No, no. Mm-mm. I did not enjoy it. I'm sorry. So back to Chat GPT. It says that some of have a built in warm air dryer and some are the other ones use a small amount of toilet paper or a clean towel designated for that purpose. So it's a booty towel. A booty towel, you're right. Yeah, so I follow these people on Instagram and they talk a lot about European stuff and he says there's three sizes of towels. There's your body towel and then the ones that we typically think of as a hand towel are what they would use as the booty towel. Mine would be all white and they would get bleached. I don't use bleach. But they would be all white and they would be separate. Your hand tells. Eventually. are you sure you went white? Maybe butt. Right? ma'am, you you are clean when you're wiping yourself. Hopefully. You have boys. I just want to point out, like I feel like they're also at the age where they're sometimes unaware of their hygiene. Habits. And yes, they are disgusting. Till they're not Yeah. They're stinky. I don't know what age that actually starts to happen but I don't know. When they start to not be nasty. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I think my oldest is kinda getting there 'cause he's like very aware. I I think girls are starting to play a picture. And so he's very aware of I put on deodorant and I brush my teeth. And my hair looks good today. That's cute. Mm-hmm. Is he into cologne quite yet? we did the whole axe body spray for a while. Or are you resistant 'cause of the crunchiness? I don't like a lot of fragrance because I am pretty crunchy. Mostly around fragrance. So I I allow it. Letting him be his own person? Yeah. Yeah. I don't want him to grow up in a household with a crunchy mom. Never getting to experience. With a stinky boy. Yeah. You don't want him be the stinky kid at school? I don't want him to be the stinky kid. It smells like onions. Ooh. Yeah. That's that's kinda gross. So why'd you bring up wet wipes? 'Cause we're talking about toilet paper. okay. It's preference, yeah. It is preference. I have a pack of wet wipes in my bathroom. I don't think I've given it a lot of thought, honestly. I keep trying to convince my husband to get one of those bidets that you can attach to your toilet. to the toilet. They make sense, I get it. I've thought about it not for the water asking and clean you but more for I hear the A warm seat. Yes. I hear they have like a heated seat. A heated seat. 'Cause there's nothing worse than sitting on it in the middle of the night, of course, and it's freezing cold. Well, if you kept your house warmer than sixty degrees I feel cold. It feels called out right now. Yeah, it's a hundred degrees outside and we all have blankets on. Yes. Yes. It's freezing in here. Yes. It's it's a little chilly. This is why I'm always surprised you're so you're so cold in other spaces. Yes. If you keep your house like an igaloo. Because sh because when we're here we have blankets, but when we go out to places we don't have a blanket with us. True story. See? So I a warm Or you just make it warmer in the house. I'm just saying It's also a sense of like security to have like something on you. Yeah. I'm a blanket person. need a wanna So I enjoy that. And so if it was any warm in here, I wouldn't be able to do this and then I'd be hot if I did. So I know this doesn't really go with poop friends, but I we had a conversation the other day that I feel like I want to bring up 'cause you talk about cleanliness and being cozy. gosh. Yeah. No, I wanna I wanna talk about the night shower habits. I think I think that for some reason habits. I mean it goes habits it goes along with this. I did not take a shower last night. no And you got in your bed and I got with your stinky, sweaty feet stinky or sweaty. Frito feet. We call Frito feet. Okay. To be fair, were were you home all day? I worked from home all day. Okay. Did you have shoes on? So at any point. yeah, 'cause I forgot about your okay. I did go out in the evening. I went to dinner yesterday evening. So she went to the outside air. I went in the outside air. Mm-hmm. So that was there was a shower. But I got home really late and I was tired. And I wasn't like I didn't sweat. I'd taken a shower that morning. What kind of shoes were you wearing? I wore my favorite shoes. gross. Yes. Don't we have a thing about wearing cross- This deserves a shower. so yes, shower. If you've been in the Outside air and I just put that in quotes. Outside. Yes. If the outside has touched you, you have to take a shower before you go to bed. Yes. Yep. And I think Shelly and I are the gross. Also needs to? Yes. Ooh, as someone that's starting a family, I I I will I would really in another couple years love to have this conversation again. See if you've gotten worn down. And but I allow my dog who hasn't had a bath in like a week to be in my bed. Yeah. Because it's different. And they go outside. And they go outside. And they poop in the yard. Yeah. And they walk in that yard. Mm-hmm. And they also stay on top of so they're not getting in between the the sheets. Yeah, they stay on top of the company. They stay on the top. All the time? She never gets in the sheets with you in the winter, no? You don't okay. Well she also she's not a cuddler. She'll s she'll stay on the bed for like five minutes and then she'll lay on lay on the floor the rest of night. She wants nothing to do with you. Yeah no. She's like bad. But agree. I agree with Sadia. ever since raising my young to the age they are today. Didn't matter. Four years old, they're asleep in the car, we get home late. I didn't even carry her in the house. Like I wake her up, she gets out, first stop, shower. I couldn't even and then bed. And that was probably why she is the way she is today. That's what's wrong with her. But your fault. I got it. Because notice right? Like you just can't get into bed with sweaty feet, dirty feet. But if I'm sweating a must across your skin. A what? A must. A must yeah. A must? Is it no. What is it? Musk? Musk musk? Yeah. With a k yeah, with a cake? What is it? What's the right word? I don't know. I don't know what you're trying to say. I think it's musk. She's she's speaking She's speaking Pachinese, her own special language. Yeah. it's started already. Like it's like like little musky. A musky smell? Yes. I don't think But I feel like you don't feel that as well. So so we had book club last night. Where some of us were together. Mm-hmm. Shower? We are in Yes, shower. I didn't shower. Shower? I got home. Yep. No shower. Mm. I showered. man. No. I went to work yesterday. I didn't feel dirty. I didn't either. I had taken a shower that morning and I didn't sweat all day at home. I didn't work out at home. And then I went to eat and I didn't get sweaty, surprisingly. And say that. I I'm a sweaty girl. I'm a sweaty girl. I if I am the least bit sweaty, I will take a shower before I go to bed. Are y'all hair washers every day? No. Okay, me either. I'll shower every single day. But my hair does not get washed every day. I do wash every day. You wash your hair every day? Do you wash your hair every day? I think I'm on day three. I'm on day three. I I'll usually go like two three that's really stretching it. I'm Better at not washing hair. Must be I'm better at not washing. Yeah. Just in general. No, I'm better at not washing hair if I don't have to go to work. yeah. If I don't have to go to work, I will let my hair go. And it will look bad. Yeah, I was gonna say I've I feel like I have fine hair, so it looks It looks oily really fast. Yeah, really fast. Yeah. Dry shampoo? No. No. No. That's bad for you. It has fragrance in it. Ew. Okay, crunchy mom. Cornstarch people. Cornstarch. That's Shelly's hot tip of the day. Put a little bit of essential oil in it. You'll thank me later. Do it at night. Just like dry shampoo. Before you go to bed. I think also it that really works well for people with lighter colored hair. Put a little bit of cocoa powder in there. You'll smell like a chocolate You will smell like a chocolate treat the next morning. Okay. Science experiment seems like the tip of the day. And then when you wash your hair, you're like, why does it smell like chocolate cake in here? It's you.
