Latest / Brandon Fogal Evolution / #329 - Iran, Third Temple & Israel | What's Actually Happening?
Transcript
- 0:00So we're going to have a very interactive discussion today. If you are in the
- 0:04chat, feel free to drop any comments, drop any questions that you have.
- 0:08My name is Brandon Fogle. This is Evolution. And I'm actually here with my wife,
- 0:12Jessie. She's going to be in the background. She has a microphone.
- 0:15She might be saying stuff as well. We don't got a camera on her today,
- 0:19so you won't be able to see that.
- 0:21But if she feels like she wants to say something, go ahead and chime in. Hello.
- 0:26All right. So we're going to be talking about why are you against Israel?
- 0:31And I don't know. I don't know you personally, but in general,
- 0:34because I think a lot of the vibe is a lot of people kind of stand against Israel
- 0:39in a lot of ways, or at least that's what's being fed if you're on the internet, if you're on YouTube X.
- 0:44And I wanted to delineate two different directions we can take this,
- 0:48as in, should Christians support the modern nation state of Israel?
- 0:53And what does the Bible say about Israel in the last days? So we got to keep
- 0:56those in mind, what we're actually talking about, because I think in general,
- 1:01Christians, if they're familiar with the Bible, they understand that Israel
- 1:05is prevalent throughout it.
- 1:06And when we're talking about that, are we talking about the same thing as the
- 1:10nation state of Israel that is in current existence today with Benjamin Netanyahu
- 1:15and that whole government over there?
- 1:17Is it the same thing? Is it different? Or is one like a shell of the other? Yeah.
- 1:22And also, we're going to take a look at, I caught this the other day,
- 1:25NBC News did a, like a, like a, what do you call it? A conversation,
- 1:32an analysis. What is it? Like a commentary? What? A segment?
- 1:35A segment. That's a good word for it. A segment about a possible temple being
- 1:42built in Israel over the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
- 1:45And we're going to take a look at this. in general.
- 1:48These are some Zionists, people that are Zionists over there that support that.
- 1:53But we're going to give a breakdown of this in discussing this.
- 1:56Miracle signs and wonders. Sydney Galbraith is a tourist from Canada.
- 2:00She describes herself as a Christian Zionist and a true believer.
- 2:04And what do you think should happen to the Muslim sites that are here?
- 2:09The Dome of the Rock, the Al-Aqsa Mosque? You know, I think the Lord is going
- 2:13to do something so unusual that our minds can't conceive.
- 2:18If he were to tell us, we wouldn't understand, but we know that this is his
- 2:22land, and we're going to watch him,
- 2:24push them out. He's going to totally drive them out because this is the place
- 2:29where he has, this is my land. Drive out the Muslims. Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:34And you want that to happen?
- 2:36Yes. Yeah.
- 2:38This is the Lord. This is our place. But those are biblical prophecies.
- 2:43What about impractical terms? What about the Muslims who live here?
- 2:47So I like how he brings that up, just that those are biblical prophecies.
- 2:50What about real everyday thing? Because people there is kind of a disconnect
- 2:55between like just in general we see the bible that's just a story account of thousands of years ago,
- 3:02what do you think just like just hearing that your overall just first of all
- 3:06impression of that when you see that lady,
- 3:08and i don't even know like because you don't really have and i i don't want
- 3:12to put words in your mouth of just in general like a stance on a lot of these
- 3:16things you just you're kind of floating through a lot of these things what do
- 3:19What do you think, Jessie?
- 3:21I mean, I think I side with what she's saying. Like, doesn't he say he's going
- 3:25to be building his temple there eventually?
- 3:29I mean... But you're right. I kind of felt cringy for her. Be like,
- 3:32yeah, drive him out. It sounded really rude.
- 3:34But at the same time, like, it is his land. And it's for the Jews for the new temple, right?
- 3:43I mean, when we think, yeah, in the, there being a temple, because in Christianity,
- 3:47a lot of it, there is no temple, kind of like we are the temple,
- 3:50the church is the temple, we're being built up, an actual physical temple is
- 3:53kind of like a relic of the past, it's not even necessarily,
- 3:57that's why a lot of people,
- 3:58I play a devil's advocate, I do think there will be a physical,
- 4:01literal temple, because we do see that the Antichrist will walk into that temple,
- 4:06and desecrate it, you know?
- 4:09But yeah, so why does she or anybody think that they're going to be wiped?
- 4:13The Muslim, they're going to be taken off that site.
- 4:16What is Biblia supposed to be happening? Well, I think in general,
- 4:19I think it is God's land. It's the city of the king.
- 4:24And it's talked about in the Bible. It's the city of the great king.
- 4:28The Messiah will go through the gates. You know, he'll set.
- 4:31Because we see these prophecies in the Old Testament and almost alluded to in
- 4:35the New Testament about the Messiah will build a temple. That's like what the
- 4:39end of Ezekiel is even talking about.
- 4:41And even that temple itself, I see it as like almost there's going to be a third
- 4:45temple, which is going to happen.
- 4:46And then the Antichrist will come in and desecrate it. But then there will be
- 4:51an actual, a fourth temple, which will be in the millennial kingdom, which Jesus will set up.
- 4:57And it will be like crazy big.
- 5:00It'll be, and then there will be sacrifices happening.
- 5:03But even that, it doesn't sound normal to a regular christian like like what
- 5:07do you think when i say sacrifices we think we don't we don't need those and
- 5:11it's and i don't think it is a matter of needing but it's just,
- 5:14yeah approaching god in this fallen world and it's like those things bring him
- 5:19glory it's not those those things are taking away sin or removing sin but it's just like,
- 5:24they're glorifying god they're offerings to god the messiah is showing us of
- 5:29doing them because his sacrifice is different It's not like animals or anything like that.
- 5:33He's like himself. He's the temple. He's the high priest. He's the sacrifice.
- 5:37He's the lamb. He's all those things. The embodiment of all those things.
- 5:42And just starting it off with this, because this is like throwing at the temple,
- 5:47the Al-Aqsa Mosque, because this is where Christianity, Judaism,
- 5:50and Islam meet in one place right now.
- 5:53All of us regard it as a holy place for different reasons in a lot of ways.
- 6:00So the Muslim—okay, why do the Jews like this exact site or just Jerusalem in general?
- 6:08Well, I mean, throughout the Bible, Moses was promised the land of Israel.
- 6:13He's promised that land.
- 6:15And then where he was going to sacrifice Isaac, it's speculated,
- 6:21is where the Al-Aqsa Mosque is actually sitting right there.
- 6:24And I don't know if— Is that the Dome of the Rock? So that's the difference.
- 6:27There is a difference between the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.
- 6:30I've never heard that first word you said, the— There are two different places, actually.
- 6:34And I wasn't too familiar with it. I always heard about them,
- 6:38but you only really ever see the Dome of the Rock.
- 6:40The Al-Aqsa Mosque is, it's actually like, it looks completely different.
- 6:44It's not a gold dome. It's just different. And there's a different reason.
- 6:47I actually searched it the other day of what is the actual difference.
- 6:52But her bringing this up, this is an actual Zionist person.
- 6:56It sounds like she's Canadian or whatever. A lot of these people,
- 7:01is it right to be Zionist? Is it just kind of like, it's just your flavor? It's your preference?
- 7:06Or is it, should we as Christians even care about this? Should we care about Israel?
- 7:11Because we always talk about, we want to, like, Christians go there to visit
- 7:14the sites and everything. Does it have any real significance,
- 7:18tangible, like, does it matter in God's eyes, I guess, today, you know?
- 7:24I mean, I guess you'd think it'd have to just because the whole Bible is all
- 7:27about the promised land. It's all about, you know, it always talks about the
- 7:32actual physical land. I mean, surely there's some kind of significance there.
- 7:36Yeah, I see. I see it as and I wasn't always and I'm just going to be candid
- 7:40on a lot of ways. And in talking about these these things, because I'm not necessarily like.
- 7:45I, I was kind of exposed to it early on when I became a Christian.
- 7:50I think the first time I even thought about these things was,
- 7:54watching Fox News and Glenn Beck, and he was kind of pro-Israel,
- 7:58and it made me even, like, thinking about those types of things,
- 8:01but it was kind of, it, like, fed into, like, naturally, yeah,
- 8:04obviously, we would support Israel as Christians.
- 8:06That's God's holy land. Those are his people. And we're going to go through
- 8:10a couple of different passages of, of the Bible itself, and.
- 8:16This is from Deuteronomy 7-6.
- 8:19It says, For you are a people holy to the Lord your God.
- 8:22The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples of the face of the earth
- 8:26to be his treasured possession.
- 8:28So that's talking about Israel who had just been redeemed or rescued out of Egypt.
- 8:34Now, we apply it to us as Christians in a lot of ways because the apostle Peter
- 8:38takes that exact verse and he's referencing all of Christians, which it is.
- 8:43Yeah but there is a sense it feels like that it starts with that i i see it as like,
- 8:50the physical chosen people is israel but then there is a kind of like a secret
- 8:55mysterious chosen of election of whoever is going to trust in jesus is chosen and the elect from the,
- 9:03foundations of the world because he is actually the elect one he's the chosen one,
- 9:09but I do there is a sense where like God you can't take that verse and just
- 9:14rip it out and just say it like Peter understood who he's talking about who
- 9:18God was talking about when he
- 9:19said that he was talking about the Jewish people or the people of Israel
- 9:22I know these are like conflated terms we say the Jewish Israel you know.
- 9:28It's just almost like it so what are the jewish people living in jerusalem where
- 9:33this mosque is how do they feel walking by it when it's completely opposed to
- 9:38what they their beliefs are right,
- 9:41how do they feel about the mosque being on their land is there a constant tension there,
- 9:47it sounds like that and even like in this in the video i was watching with the
- 9:50nbc the special that they did it did seem like that there is tension like the
- 9:54animosity between them and,
- 9:56and a lot of people see it as Israel is rising up because they are instigating
- 10:00a lot of it, a lot of, because they want a temple.
- 10:04They want it to happen because they're not really carrying out all the law that
- 10:08God has given them because obviously they're not doing the sacrifices.
- 10:12They don't have it built up and you can't just, they've made it into obeying
- 10:17and like studying the Torah and studying the law and learning all that has become
- 10:22like the replacement for their.
- 10:26Sacrificial system. It has like replaced all of that.
- 10:29You know what I mean? Okay. So why do you think people don't like Israel?
- 10:33There is a war going on, right? With Israel and Iran.
- 10:38Well i mean there's a war with the united states yeah united states and iran,
- 10:42and a lot of people what okay yeah the united we're in war with iran like we
- 10:46wouldn't like i don't even know if it's been like technically declared that because,
- 10:50trump has kind of went off in this way of just saying it's an operation because
- 10:55he has to go to congress after a certain amount of time to fully declare war okay so like,
- 11:00but why do people okay why do people hate israel are they not just defending
- 11:04their land don't they want to kick out,
- 11:06people are like the nation state of israel why a lot of people dislike them
- 11:10is because the for the most part is they are they
- 11:13they see them as trying to encroach on all these other nations and take over
- 11:18they want to set up regional hegemony that's kind of like a power they want
- 11:23to be the power of the middle east who does israel okay.
- 11:28Over there they want to be the the and pretty much they are the only one that
- 11:32is standing in their way right now is Iran. Pretty much.
- 11:36I think Saudi Arabia and those states, those Arabian states over there,
- 11:40I think there's seven of them, like Qatar, Kuwait, or in that area,
- 11:45like they still have a massive power.
- 11:47But like, this is where like, people think that Israel uses the United States
- 11:52to destabilize all these other nations like Iraq and Libya, like they we went
- 11:58in there and just just completely made it not like,
- 12:02civilized or that they're just kind of in chaos right now.
- 12:05So they like we destroyed the people in power there.
- 12:08But now Israel pretty much has power over all these other nations because they
- 12:12have the weapons. They have the ability to exert military force.
- 12:16So do you do you think Israel is doing the right thing?
- 12:19See, this is I'm not like in the right thing.
- 12:22This is where I think we have to draw as Christians. We can support Israel,
- 12:26like the blanket name and label of Israel, because as if we're talking about
- 12:31the Israel of the Bible, but this, like who, who that is over there, I, I,
- 12:37I can't see it as anything other than the actual Israel itself.
- 12:41But it doesn't mean like that they're
- 12:42carrying out, like they're not doing everything perfect over there.
- 12:46They're just doing things the best
- 12:47in their interest. And they don't even believe in Jesus as the Messiah.
- 12:51So if you really think about it, the people that are over there that are Jews
- 12:55and that are the nation state of Israel, they just almost see it as like the
- 12:59New Testament hasn't come.
- 13:01Like they're living and still go and conquer the land, conquest, take it over.
- 13:06You know what i mean if we left it at that you know that like that was the the
- 13:10the command that god gave to joshua go and take over the land it's your land
- 13:15yeah and the old well i mean they don't have a new testament it's just
- 13:19and us even calling the old and new testament that almost becomes a.
- 13:23An incorrect terminology because we because in our idea we think well the new
- 13:28is better than what's old,
- 13:30like we think well the new is here though it's replaced whatever and i don't
- 13:34i don't think that it is that it's like the foundation of it is what like,
- 13:38their bible and it's just really a continuation of the scriptures i haven't
- 13:41thought about like that we call we call it like pretty much as in the new the
- 13:44old covenant the new covenant that's when we say new testament old testament
- 13:47it's pretty much this the same thing,
- 13:50it's just and the new testament is all it is it's a greater fulfillment of the,
- 13:55old testament and it's it actually allows the old covenant to be,
- 14:00fulfilled in its entirety and in actuality or reality you know what i mean because
- 14:06it's like the law the law of the old testament is written on the people's hearts,
- 14:10and what was just like hinted at with the the sacrifice of the animals in the
- 14:16old testament is actually fulfilled in the one-time sacrifice which is jesus's sacrifice
- 14:21that actually removes sins yeah but but like all right diving into this let's
- 14:25i want to go a little bit further Yeah.
- 14:28And just in the same conversation with this person, because it's also going
- 14:31to show another Zionist over there and what they thought about it.
- 14:36We will speak up for Zion's sake. It's not the first trip here for Jerry Bowers
- 14:41from Texas. You're a pastor. Yeah.
- 14:44What is, why did you come here today? Why is it important for you to be in this spot?
- 14:49It's important to be in Israel itself in order to support this nation during time of war.
- 14:55And because we believe as Christians that this is going to be the eternal gathering
- 15:01place for all Christians at the end of time.
- 15:05Who do you think should control this spot?
- 15:09Do you think it should no longer be controlled by Muslim authorities?
- 15:12Do you think this should be controlled, run, dominated by the state of Israel?
- 15:19I believe that because there's going to be more freedom here if it's ministrated by the state of Israel.
- 15:24Just right there, like the guy, I think he's saying what a lot of people expect
- 15:29Zionists to believe that.
- 15:31So when we think about just in general, the Jews were in that city in Jerusalem
- 15:37and in 70 AD, they got dispersed. Their city got destroyed and they got sent
- 15:41out into all parts of the world.
- 15:43The Christians continued that for a while. like when Constantine came along,
- 15:48and set up the Christianity as a religion, his mother actually went there and
- 15:53found a lot about the Christian sites over there.
- 15:56But it's like six centuries later when Muhammad, that's when he comes along
- 16:00and he sets it up as a holy site as well because he regards a lot of the things
- 16:05that the Jews and Christians believe as good and from God. It's,
- 16:10takes it in a different direction, says he's the final prophet,
- 16:13doesn't necessarily believe everything the Christians believe,
- 16:16and he twists a lot of the scriptures that the Christians and Jews believe.
- 16:22So now it's like from 700, from like the 7th century on, they're regarding it
- 16:26as a holy place as well. I think that's where they believe that,
- 16:30Muhammad ascended to heaven. There's different reasons why they have the Al-Aqsa
- 16:36Mosque there, the Dome of the Rocks. It's because they regard that as a specific holy place.
- 16:41And it's like, I know we think as Christians, nothing's going to change the
- 16:45fact that God's going to do what he's going to do when he wants to do it.
- 16:52But what do you think, Jesse? I kind of like that lady was saying,
- 16:56they're asking her, what do you think about this and that, she goes, I don't even know.
- 16:59I just know God's going to do something. Then that's kind of my attitude.
- 17:03Like, just sit back. It doesn't matter what I think. Like, God's going to make it happen.
- 17:07As long as I'm on his side, then I think we're good to go. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 17:11And I would say, all right, we're going to get into a couple of different verses
- 17:14here. This is why do we think God chose Israel?
- 17:17Most people who start off with the Genesis 12, 1 through 3, I'm talking to Abraham.
- 17:23I will make you into a great nation. I will bless those who bless you,
- 17:26and whoever curses you, I will curse and all the peoples of the earth will be blessed through you.
- 17:31And all the peoples of the earth were blessed because of Jesus Christ that came through Israel.
- 17:36But it, so it's this, God made a specific covenant with this nation,
- 17:41with Abraham, and he gave them circumcision and he gave them a way to distinguish
- 17:46themselves from all the other nations.
- 17:48It was really to preserve the messianic line.
- 17:51And, but it did make a distinct people, you know, and like Like them being different
- 17:57than all the other nations, I think it, he wanted them to be the oddballs,
- 18:01wanted them to stand out.
- 18:03And like he made it so it was impossible for people that are of Israel to just
- 18:08mix and mingle with the people that he wanted to have that specific line.
- 18:12And I just don't think that it's been abolished since Jesus came here.
- 18:15Just because he's here doesn't mean that now that that's done away with,
- 18:19it's continuing on. But it's just Christianity has come and said,
- 18:23like, it's we've overtaken that.
- 18:25There's no need for the separation. There's no need for we're all one in Messiah, you know, kind of thing.
- 18:32So it starts with this, like if we, if we disconnect just the modern state of
- 18:36Israel today, like what they are, like, and I don't think it's any different
- 18:41than of seeing them as like the regular Israel that was there in the Bible.
- 18:47I don't see it like as different. It's just like, because it's so far removed,
- 18:51did they all like the people, the, because even when you get into Israel,
- 18:55like there's Sephardic Jews and then there's what's called Ashkenazi Jews.
- 18:58Never heard those words. Like a Sephardic is like kind of like people that more
- 19:02look like Middle Eastern.
- 19:03They're like of that lineage. And they have those characteristics.
- 19:06They like they look like that. The Ashkenazi is more of the Jews that are from like the European.
- 19:12They're like the more wider, like Ben Shapiro and people like that.
- 19:16And so people say, well, that's not the real Jews. That's not the real Israel. Yeah.
- 19:20But what do you think about that like just hearing that i know i've always wondered
- 19:23like you know like like the holocaust it seemed like,
- 19:26you see the pictures like anne frank and her family and stuff it's not the more
- 19:30the dark skin arabic look like you would think jesus would have been uh-huh
- 19:35okay so tell me that again,
- 19:37it's like how they were like just the white skin like more light skin yeah how
- 19:41are they but they're both when you say jews the they're both like they're just
- 19:48i I would say Jews in general it's because it's not just an ethnicity.
- 19:52It can be because you can like literally, literally have been descended from,
- 19:57those, the Jewish people like, like from David King David or whatever,
- 20:00because he had thousands of children or what I don't even know.
- 20:03Or he had a lot of them. So like they, so some people can do their ancestry
- 20:06and have like some, like a bloodline in them that they're a percentage Jewish.
- 20:10I don't, that is not necessarily when we're talking biblically Jewish,
- 20:15Jewish is just a term that just means of, of, I just bit my lip again.
- 20:19Ow. I know. I bit my lip this week and it hurt really bad.
- 20:23But that you're of Judea. You're of the people of Judea.
- 20:27Or of the land of Judea. And then it just became synonymous with Israel,
- 20:33just the covenant people of God.
- 20:35Because when you think about it, like a thousand years before Christ,
- 20:39there was King David and he had his kingdom. And that was when it was in its golden age.
- 20:43And then after he died, after Solomon died, the nation got split.
- 20:48And then there was the northern tribes and then there was the southern tribes, which was,
- 20:54just Judah and Benjamin. And then the northern ones were all the other 10 tribes.
- 21:00But the kingdoms were called Israel and Judah. Yeah, the northern was called Israel. Yeah.
- 21:05And then the northern tribe, the northern kingdom, went off into exile in like
- 21:10700 B.C. or something like that.
- 21:12The Assyrians came in and took them out of the land. So they're like being dispersed
- 21:16all throughout the world.
- 21:18And then, so there's only the Jerusalem or Judah kingdom, you know?
- 21:26You know what I'm talking about in Jerusalem, Benjamin and Judah.
- 21:29And then like so they're there for until like 586 and then they get taken into
- 21:34exile you know and then they come back from the land and then we get to the time of Christ,
- 21:39So it's like Israel, like people that are Jewish, they go in and out of the
- 21:43land constantly. God sends them out of the land in exile at different times.
- 21:48But they always regard Jerusalem and Israel as their homeland.
- 21:51They've always done that.
- 21:53You know what I mean? Even like my ignorance is coming out, like the Holocaust
- 21:57Jews, like the Anne Franks, they think their homeland is in Israel,
- 22:01even though they were living in like Austria.
- 22:03Oh, yeah, yeah. So like, so they're in the diaspora. So that's what happens.
- 22:07Jews that, like, so in 70 AD, after Jesus died, 40 years later,
- 22:12they get, Jerusalem gets destroyed, and then Jews are kicked out throughout
- 22:17the Roman Empire and all the rest of the world.
- 22:18So they're, they, because Rome destroys Jerusalem.
- 22:24But then, so it's like, now they're in the diaspora. That's what's happening.
- 22:27So it's like, there's always this, like, spiritual as opposed to the natural.
- 22:32The natural is the physical descendants of Israel that are like the covenant,
- 22:38physical, natural descent, people of God.
- 22:41But then the spiritual is like kind of Christians in general.
- 22:44Whoever is in Jesus is a part of this spiritual community that's like unseen.
- 22:49But like God still has those ties to the physical because he made a covenant with them, you know.
- 22:55So it's different how people are regarded as Jewish. It's not just an ethnicity.
- 23:01It's that if you undergo circumcision if you like come under the yoke of the
- 23:06law like that's that is what it is to be jewish like you could say like rahab
- 23:11her she was jewish but she was of the the land of jericho you know and yeah,
- 23:16but she became in the messianic line because she or ruth she was a moabite but
- 23:21she is it not it's not a religion like you could.
- 23:26Anybody goes oh i practice judaism i'm a jew is that's not that's not you can't
- 23:32just do that like you can't that's not correct,
- 23:34well you can't just do that to like you it's like it's a legal thing it's like
- 23:39you have to become jewish today and this is like how it's all fleshed out it's
- 23:44because they've for centuries they've put all this together and they have their
- 23:48oral law and how they regard it,
- 23:51and the rabbis were kind of doing that they they've they have it in a whole
- 23:54system like how to become Jewish,
- 23:56they do a, like you go to them and you say, I want to become Jewish.
- 24:00And then they really try to dissuade you and push you away from doing that.
- 24:06But then if you do actually want to become Jewish and you, you go through like,
- 24:10there's like a certain amount of steps that you do.
- 24:13And then you undergo circumcision. Or if you're a woman, you do,
- 24:16I think both, whether you're male or female, you go through a baptism.
- 24:20Like there's a whole, there's certain steps that they do, but then you are legally
- 24:24Jewish. You're forever legally Jewish.
- 24:26If you do that, you could become like, you could turn away from the faith,
- 24:30but you are always considered legally Jewish. If you undergo conversion and
- 24:34that's what it is, it's not just an ethnicity.
- 24:37You know what I mean? And if you have a child after you're Jewish,
- 24:40if you're a woman, that child is Jewish.
- 24:44And that's how they've determined it. And I think that they have the legal rights
- 24:48to make these laws and decisions,
- 24:52Hey, just tuned in a few minutes ago. I am an Ashkenazi Jew.
- 24:55If I may say, being Jewish is an ethnic group with a hablu type that connects every Jew.
- 25:01To be Jewish, your mother has to be Jewish.
- 25:04So you're Ashkenazi Jew. So we were just talking about that. That's really neat.
- 25:08Because I know a little bit about it. And a lot of times when you see Ashkenazi
- 25:12Jew, people just kind of throw that word out there.
- 25:14And they can almost meet it as a pejorative in certain senses,
- 25:18because they say that they're not real Jewish. But I understand and I believe
- 25:22that obviously, yes, that is a person that is really Jewish.
- 25:25It's just a certain type, you know? It's just like everyone,
- 25:29like we're all humans, but it's like there's different races,
- 25:32different colors, different people groups, but we're still all humanity.
- 25:39It's like so Jewish people, whether they got pushed into Europe or got pushed
- 25:45into Asia or got pushed into Africa, it doesn't necessarily matter because it
- 25:50goes beyond even bloodlines,
- 25:52like they would that's what they would regard it as you know what I mean.
- 25:57So when we get in kind of, so the differences, and I want to keep this at the
- 26:01forefront of our minds, is the
- 26:02difference. Should Christians support the modern nation state of Israel?
- 26:06And what does the Bible say about Israel in the last days? So the biblical Israel
- 26:11and the modern nation state of Israel, I don't see them necessarily,
- 26:14in my view, as different.
- 26:16I see it as, I see the modern nation state of Israel as the real Israel.
- 26:21But this gets so complicated because even real jews they there's a lot of them
- 26:26that disagree with israel and they they won't they don't want it to be a thing
- 26:30at all they because they see it as when the messiah comes he will set up,
- 26:35the actual nation state and they that it's almost like a,
- 26:39a forgery or it's a a fabrication it's like fake this whatever is over there
- 26:44it's kind of it's like these jews got together and,
- 26:49they just wanted power and control, and that's what's going on.
- 26:52He says, of course, you can convert and join the Jewish tribe.
- 26:55You are discouraged to convert because once you do, you are held to strict laws
- 27:01and it is very difficult to do so.
- 27:03So, were you born Jewish or did you convert to Judaism?
- 27:11Because I do see it as that way, and I don't know if you're a Christian,
- 27:15if you're a Messianic Jew, or if you are just Jewish and you're waiting on the
- 27:20Messiah, I'm a Christian. I believe in that Jesus is the Messiah.
- 27:25And if you're born Jewish, you don't have to practice the faith, but.
- 27:31You will still be.
- 27:32Yeah so it's not necessarily like so there are people that are atheist jews people that are,
- 27:37they don't believe in and god at all but they just see like like i almost think
- 27:42of it as like kind of richard dawkins he's like he's a he's a practicing christian he like i'm not he,
- 27:49what he he termed it some way like not a practicing but like a cultural christian
- 27:54because he likes the idea the cult the culture that christianity creates but
- 27:58he doesn't believe in god he's actually very opposed to the,
- 28:01Jewish or the biblical God.
- 28:04But yeah, so in general, I just see, I see that whether we should,
- 28:09as Christians, we're obligated to support the nation state of Israel. I don't see that at all.
- 28:14It gets kind of, if you really dive into even the New Testament itself that
- 28:19Paul, he talks about, we are indebted to,
- 28:22the Jewish people because we're sharing with them in spiritual things so that
- 28:26we're indebted to them in natural things and physical things.
- 28:30So we should, I think, support and as much as we can give to and to Jewish people and take care of them.
- 28:37Because I, and I just, the video we just saw the other day or regarding,
- 28:41it was kind of this divide within Christianity that is happening with people
- 28:46that support Israel, people that don't.
- 28:48I forget his name. It's at First Fruits of Zion, but that whoever we were listening
- 28:52to, and I've listened to him before,
- 28:54but he was talking about the, and Jesus, when he's, he comes again and he's
- 28:57talking to the sheep and the goats and they, some said they,
- 29:01he, they took care of him. You know, they visited him in prison.
- 29:05They took care of his health, his needs or whatever. And he says,
- 29:07whenever you did this to my, the, my brothers, you were doing it to me.
- 29:11Like, was he talking about Christians in general, people of faith in general,
- 29:15or was he specifically referencing the Jewish people.
- 29:20It says, I was born Jewish, raised in a modern religious home where the culture
- 29:24was emphasized. That's all.
- 29:28I'm very interested in Jewish people in general. I do. I love Jewish people.
- 29:34I was just talking to my wife, Jessie, just like the other day about this.
- 29:37Like, I see it as like Christians.
- 29:41It's if you I do see it as like there's a lot of Christians that are in name
- 29:47only Christians, that people that are against Jewish people are against Israel
- 29:52that like, are you just nominally a Christian?
- 29:55Are you like because I do see it as like when Jesus was here,
- 29:58he was like saying, if God were your father, you would love me just the same way that.
- 30:03He was like there was a difference between who he considered true jews at the
- 30:08heart is if they if they embraced him as the messiah they were of his people or they were you know,
- 30:15however he phrases that i see that almost in the the gentile version of the
- 30:18church like if you are really of jesus's sheep you will love jesus's people
- 30:24you will love jesus's people his natural
- 30:26brothers that's how i see it and that might be kind of controversial because
- 30:30a lot of people especially if you're on the internet a lot of people I just see it as,
- 30:35Israel is so polarizing right now people are so up in arms against it in a lot of ways like.
- 30:42Even in the United States, like, you can be an American and still not like,
- 30:46you know, what your own leaders are doing, too, you know? So it's just like,
- 30:49it's going to be the same, really, any country you're in.
- 30:52But there has been just this such a big push of Israel because they see Israel
- 30:57as committing genocide. That's almost become a talking point.
- 31:01So Ashkenazi, like, that is kind of like the more the European descent.
- 31:05I'm always asked, what's W-H-M? I'm always asked.
- 31:10Yeah, I don't. yeah so i i do i i there's a guy i there's a bunch of guys i've,
- 31:15where are where are you from i don't know yeah so like yeah i i there's a bunch
- 31:20of like jewish people i follow like on tiktok i just like i've been really drawn
- 31:24to that and i just in a backstory about me,
- 31:28i i got very oh we're from the kansas city area that's what he's saying that
- 31:32means where are you from oh god yeah i'm gonna tell you where you're from too
- 31:35it's all good yeah so like i just i i I do see it as, what was I kind of saying
- 31:40a second ago? A story about you.
- 31:41Oh, my background is kind of like, I became a Christian and then I got into.
- 31:48I liked Glenn Beck for a while and I know he was very pro-Israel.
- 31:50And I think that was kind of like, kind of pushed me down that path.
- 31:54But I still try to be very critical. I don't try to, like, I'm not like blinded.
- 31:59You almost have to vary, like, why would I even support the nation state of Israel like now?
- 32:04Because a lot of people on the internet are so against them so up in arms against
- 32:08it they don't want like want to think about it at all and i i've been like so
- 32:13it's made me really even though i look like a regular.
- 32:17Oh so you're in the in the uk oh cool that's awesome yeah so nice and you're
- 32:21like i guess in your interest in where you're from are you,
- 32:25are you in a jewish community or is like or is it are you is it just everyone
- 32:30because even like where we're at like i wouldn't like know where a Jewish community is.
- 32:34I just know like in, it's very heavily Jewish like in New York and in South Florida.
- 32:41But like where we're at, I wouldn't even know one way or the other necessarily. Yeah.
- 32:46I just, I just, from my background itself, I, I, I started watching Glenn Beck.
- 32:51I got familiar with that.
- 32:52And then I kind of went down this path where I started liking,
- 32:56I was going to this, I found out it was what's called like Hebrew roots,
- 33:00which is kind of like an offshoot of Christianity.
- 33:03And I don't agree with a lot of the things that they, they teach,
- 33:05but it does get to like kind of the,
- 33:09because I think it's a swinging of the pendulum on the opposite way as it makes
- 33:14all Gentiles that were all were Jewish or were the true Hebrews.
- 33:18Like we're like the, you know what I mean? And that's kind of what that all was.
- 33:21And Jesse was just along for the ride with that.
- 33:24And she's rolling her eyes right now. What do you think about that, Jesse?
- 33:28But that's kind of like, it was a time. Oh, you do. Okay, cool.
- 33:31And North London. That's awesome.
- 33:33So yeah, like, so, and you're in your, are you experiencing,
- 33:38have you noticed like the rise in anti-Semitism?
- 33:41Like, do you see that as a thing or because i i do we hear that a lot,
- 33:46i i say we as in me because i'm the one that's on the internet all this jesse's
- 33:50probably it's i mean whatever i i mean maybe i just see it because you have
- 33:55it on around and i that's kind of the thing now it's like very heavily,
- 33:59there's the people that are just not even thanking anti-smi that they're just gonna be mad at whoever,
- 34:05and it's just they always pin it on someone they always will pin it on the jews
- 34:08they're the scapegoat they're the ones that all our problems originate and they're
- 34:12from them so that's like the age-old,
- 34:14you know line yeah and then christians thought that like germany,
- 34:20yeah even like so what happens like the apostles and the the early apostles
- 34:24and they they brought in a lot of gentiles into the church and whenever they
- 34:28died off it became heavy it's like,
- 34:31all gentile and then it became a thing where it's like almost you had to weed
- 34:36out all the people that carried along any of these Jewish customs.
- 34:40If you want to be a part of the Christian community, you got to eat pork.
- 34:43And that was like a thing that like, you can't like they wanted to weed everyone
- 34:47out. That was because they saw it as carrying in the laws that have been done
- 34:52away with that are abolished.
- 34:54And I think that that is a faulty view. I do. I see the law,
- 34:57the Torah as abiding. It is, it's still here. It's still active.
- 35:01It's still real and still binding on all Jewish people.
- 35:05But I do see it as the difference. Like, and I was, I was, Yes,
- 35:10it's becoming more regular and more accepted.
- 35:12Yeah, I do see it as like kind of.
- 35:15The, and I kind of misspoke the other day when I was saying like,
- 35:17if Jews don't like keep all the law that they're sinning and like,
- 35:21it's very nuanced because it's
- 35:23like the law of Moses, it's not every law applies to anyone universally.
- 35:29Like not all the laws that apply to men don't apply to women or the apply to
- 35:34people that are kings don't apply to peasants.
- 35:36Or like there's, it's very nuanced It's easy to do just whitewash it or broad
- 35:42brush it and say, and I think the same thing is like, there's certain laws where
- 35:46we just say as moral laws, like that, that apply to in general.
- 35:50And I think that that's what the apostles did. They took those with the moral
- 35:53laws that, um, were carried on and they put those over the, the Gentiles that
- 35:59were coming to the church.
- 36:00And that's why they gave them the, the certain laws that you, you need to keep these.
- 36:04Not everything is binding on you, but like these specific laws,
- 36:07but it was, they would continue learning the laws of, because they would go
- 36:12to the Sabbath, the synagogue, because that's where like Christians in general
- 36:15met. They met at the synagogues. They, that's where Paul was going and.
- 36:20Yeah, it's, I just see it as, I want to kind of go through a couple more different verses.
- 36:25So recently three community ambulances were set in fire, not much news coverage or police action.
- 36:30Wow, that's, yeah, it's, it's, I mean, there's just like the physical that people
- 36:36are doing, but then they're like, there is the thing where like,
- 36:41I think a lot of it is just Gentiles in general.
- 36:44They get upset with Jews because they just, they see it like they,
- 36:47all they hear is, well, they're the chosen ones. And it can rub Gentile Christians
- 36:51wrong because they think, well, we're not special.
- 36:54But and we think oh they just think that they're better than us because god
- 36:57chose them you know and i see it as what do you think oh i see it like that kind of like that woman,
- 37:04wasn't it that in the bible when she said something about the dogs and the crumbs
- 37:09oh yeah i'm just like thank you god i got a crumb thank you for thinking about
- 37:12me at all you know oh yeah but like a lot of people would see that and they
- 37:15are offended by it but say because jesus because i mean,
- 37:19it does seem like jesus had that that mentality he like that he was there for
- 37:24the jewish people that was and it wasn't it's kind of like just being adopted,
- 37:28like no you're not the the real family but thank god you're adopted and you
- 37:32have all the legal rights yeah like
- 37:36like it's kind of like we're grafted in and even like gentiles gentiles even
- 37:40jews themselves like paul said to them was the adoption like these the covenants
- 37:45the messiah all of that is for them it's like we as gentiles that was it's kind
- 37:50of like the mystery that was kept that we would be brought into that those same promises,
- 37:55and like like they're like,
- 37:57to say like i see it as like all jew or gentile we are all adopted into god's
- 38:01family because jesus is the only one that is the biological son of god
- 38:07like and that's used in biological in like a a way just to kind of understand
- 38:10it but just in general jews in general do not see uh being chosen as being special
- 38:16the few that do promote that idea are giving the rest of us a bad name that.
- 38:21And i i really don't know too many jewish people i there was a girl that i knew
- 38:25that was i remember when i was in college is before i met jesse but i i remember
- 38:29telling my parents like she,
- 38:31there's this girl i met and she she wants to go to israel for some reason she
- 38:35wants and i remember my dad saying is she jewish i go i think so i guess i but
- 38:40i didn't i didn't know any of that stuff that one girl no it wasn't her it was
- 38:44a different girl oh but like.
- 38:47But yeah like i and i don't think that they in general just think that the they're better than us or i,
- 38:54I think that anybody, I think Gentiles can think there's a, on any part,
- 38:57any part of humanity, we all, everybody thinks, well, I'm white,
- 39:01I'm better than you, or I'm black, I'm better than you.
- 39:03It's like, we all think, we all navigate or gravitate towards our own tribe.
- 39:08And we always think we're better than someone else.
- 39:10You know what I mean? So I think Jews can do that.
- 39:13And I think, I think that was probably even a big struggle for the apostles.
- 39:16Like in the, like they could not imagine in their wildest dreams of having to
- 39:22go into a Gentile's house and eat with him. And that's why it was so like,
- 39:26so hard for the apostle Peter to accept that and why like, like God had to really,
- 39:33which is so weird because it does seem like Jesus, when he was here,
- 39:37he was keeping it kind of on the down low.
- 39:40Now, I don't even know if it's not necessarily like him as the Messiah.
- 39:43He foresaw because he didn't really speak of it at all.
- 39:47It wasn't until he was resurrected that we first hear him saying, you go to the nations and.
- 39:53Spread the gospel and preach the gospel, baptize in the name,
- 39:56father son holy spirit but it's like even like it was probably like years later
- 40:01that they were actually doing that they were completely focused on jewish people,
- 40:05and it was little by little that they were,
- 40:08because jesus said you will be in jerusalem samaria and to the uttermost posture
- 40:11of the earth they're really focusing and down in that order,
- 40:15and they it was like it was kind of like it would have been hard for them to
- 40:18accept it because i i come from it from the perspective of,
- 40:22like Jews, like the, the apostles who were Jews, it was, they expected it to
- 40:28be that if you're going to be a part of this movement, early Christianity,
- 40:33you had to become Jewish.
- 40:35And that's why even Paul, the apostle, after he had become a Christian,
- 40:40he was preaching people have to be Jewish to be a part of this movement.
- 40:44It's not, and because he said, like, if I still preach circumcision and he says
- 40:49that in the book of galatians and that's a very early on book that means there
- 40:54was a time he was preaching circumcision like he was preaching that,
- 40:57but god had to reveal it to him that he was going to the gentiles and his gospel
- 41:02was that the gentiles remain gentile and that's the beauty of the kingdom of god it's jews.
- 41:09Kind of, it's kind of like this radial ecclesiology at the, at the center is,
- 41:13is the Jewish people, but then the, the Gentiles are kind of on the outside.
- 41:19But it, it sounds weird, but it is kind of like, I don't see it as in God loves
- 41:22them more, but it's just in the same way of, uh, responsibility.
- 41:27Like God set up, like he had priests and he had Levites priests and then a high
- 41:32priest. It's just a matter of, of holiness in regard to like they're held to
- 41:36a higher standard, you know?
- 41:39But we're all, that's what Paul's emphasis is in the New Testament.
- 41:43We're all a part of the same, what is it? What is the word he used?
- 41:47It's like commonwealth. We're all a part, like once we're grafted in,
- 41:50it's like the barrier has been like brought down and we're all sharing in the same citizenship.
- 41:55But it doesn't remove like kind of the distinction. And I think that that is
- 41:59where the church has missed it completely. Yeah.
- 42:03And we've talked about this a lot and a lot of, and a lot of people don't hear this.
- 42:06And it took me a lot to even get to that, to understanding and seeing that because
- 42:10it's outside. It's not on church on Sundays or Sunday school.
- 42:13This is not talked about, but this is, I see it like it's the only way that
- 42:18you can rightly understand what's going on in the new Testament.
- 42:21Cause this is the argument that is happening. And this is the struggle.
- 42:25Why those false apostles were following Paul from city to city because they
- 42:30were still preaching circumcision and they were trying to convert Gentiles to be proselytes.
- 42:37And I see the book of Galatians as these Gentile proselytes who are trying to
- 42:44push their, oh, just do what we did, become Jewish.
- 42:49You undergo circumcision.
- 42:52And then the works of the law is this thing that you're it's a cheap grace it's
- 42:56like if i become jewish i don't really need to do anything i'm saved,
- 43:00and that's like the opposite of what the message is it's like the message is
- 43:04you surrender everything to jesus it's not just a one-time thing kind of you know.
- 43:09But i'm i know i'm all over the place but uh in saying this but just in general
- 43:12if we bring it back to like should christians support israel and support jews,
- 43:17is is the nation state of israel is that an ongoing like reality from the bible,
- 43:24i would say yes i would say it is yes and i that's my my my personal opinion
- 43:30well it just depends on what you meant by support like i don't we give to like just,
- 43:35the people the people in need over there it doesn't mean we does it mean we
- 43:39support like the government and what they're doing like yeah yeah i don't i
- 43:43don't see what do you mean by support,
- 43:45when you say i support Israel, you'd think what Israel is doing in wars and whatever.
- 43:50I'm not saying I support what they're doing. I'm not backing them, but just like,
- 43:56It's like you recognize who they are and you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
- 44:01You pray for the people of Israel. That's how I see it as.
- 44:04It says, funnily enough, my mother lineage is from the Levites,
- 44:08the tribe you are a part of passed down through the father. That's so cool that you know that.
- 44:13Are your records kept? Because I've heard that the Levites themselves, is your last name Kohan?
- 44:19Because I've heard that. I don't know if that is right or whatever.
- 44:23But like but i've heard that the levites are one of them that they've been able
- 44:28to keep the ancestry about them but and even like people that that's why it's
- 44:33not really a bloodline because like.
- 44:36Uh when jesus was on the scene he could like rightly say i'm of the tribe of
- 44:40david i'm or i'm of david or i'm of the
- 44:43because it was from joseph and mary even though joseph was his dad well that's
- 44:47like that is that's not the way i was going like we're going about it i was
- 44:50just going to say because like the temple
- 44:51was still there they had their genealogical records it hadn't been c,
- 44:56i don't know if i have that more to that i don't know.
- 44:59So yeah i just see it as like yeah they could back then they could keep track
- 45:03of who was actually where you descended from that's like they were very heavily
- 45:07into genealogies but them being scattered throughout the world,
- 45:11it became like to be jewish you would be born into it you'd probably keep the,
- 45:15the laws as best you can and it would be very passed down to them and taught to them and,
- 45:23they would do everything said Kohen are the high priest their assistants are
- 45:26the Levites oh yeah yeah so the Kohen yeah that's right yeah,
- 45:31Because, like, they can trace, like, even today, they know who the high priests
- 45:34are. That's why they were able to sacrifice the red half for last summer.
- 45:39Like, they, it was, like, real, what were you going to say? No.
- 45:42Yeah, so it's, they are, they can really keep track of, they know who they are, like, even now.
- 45:48So, which is, like, but, like, we don't know who is exactly from the tribe of
- 45:53Dan, Ephraim, and all of the, of Joseph, or whatever.
- 45:56Like, those things have, we don't, God knows. But like, I'd say that in the
- 46:01same way, like a Gentile can become Jewish.
- 46:04It's like, just like what we were saying, like with Ruth and Rahab,
- 46:07Rahab, like they were Gentiles, but they were in the line of the Messiah.
- 46:12So obviously they would be considered, I would say Jewish.
- 46:16If you're a Kohen or Levi, it will be in your Hebrew name. Oh, wow.
- 46:21That's neat. That's really cool. Yeah. so i i'm.
- 46:25And i i just i know a lot of people are like because we've seen like throughout
- 46:31like the last hundred years like they're never in our lifetime has it been like this where people are,
- 46:36vehemently viscerally against israel and jewish people like it has not been
- 46:40like that i mean what about the holocaust i'm saying the last hundred years
- 46:43like since then there was a major,
- 46:45change that happened and like when we were growing up this was never even thought
- 46:49about it was all about we're all what we're all the same color or that doesn't
- 46:53even matter color doesn't matter,
- 46:56but jews like throughout history like and i just see it i see it as satanic
- 47:00that like any even racism can be satanic but like.
- 47:05Satan has a special place in his heart for the jewish people that he wants to
- 47:09destroy the jewish people that's how i see it,
- 47:12yeah because i mean and i just that that has goes up and down like it it's more
- 47:16prevalent at times and then it kind of goes away,
- 47:18it's kind of like the the head of the the snake is you smash it and it comes
- 47:22back but this is a and normal people speaking about it like today like on the
- 47:28internet the who's going to be boosted and who's going to be talked about and
- 47:32it's going to gain the airwaves,
- 47:33is the people that are hyper israeli critical,
- 47:37so they are like.
- 47:40That's the more like it does seem like that satan is running the airwaves a
- 47:44lot of the times people that are like talking about there's been a definite
- 47:48turn that has happened of people against israel in the last just like the last,
- 47:54like the last two years especially since october 7th you know what I'm talking
- 47:58about is what happened over there and since that time it's it's been everyone like
- 48:03and that's where I do feel like is like something is happening something is
- 48:07bubbling up something that and I think that Christians as we go along further
- 48:12and further it's not that you have to support the nation state of Israel as
- 48:15in like the government but like,
- 48:17you could be called again that you are you going to stand for Jewish people
- 48:22are you going to stand for,
- 48:23like and when we say israel like,
- 48:26it gets complicated but like that is like what is the the homeland of the jewish
- 48:32people it's like the one place on earth that is the jews can go to and that
- 48:37they're they're surrounded by other people of their nation or their,
- 48:41ethnicity or their whatever whatever you want to call it because it's not really
- 48:44just just an israel is a nationality but like yeah,
- 48:49that's what that is but then there's the ethnicity then there's a religion it
- 48:52gets very like convoluted and confusing at times, but in general, I just think,
- 48:58I think I just want to run through a couple of different passages and then we'll kind of wrap it up.
- 49:03But here's some passages from the Bible, Romans 11, one through two,
- 49:06Paul, the apostle, did God reject his people? And he says, by no means God did
- 49:10not reject his people whom he foreknew.
- 49:13And that's the difference between the people that are, there's people that are
- 49:17of Israel that are not really of Israel, you know, like just like,
- 49:21and that's where I do see it as that secret mystery that God,
- 49:25that chosenness, like if you're in, if you're in Christ, you are the eternally chosen of God.
- 49:33And that's the way you can know you are if you believe in Jesus as the Messiah.
- 49:37It says in Romans 11, 28 through 29, they are loved on account of the patriarchs
- 49:43for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.
- 49:46Romans 11, 17 through 24, Paul tells Gentile believers, do not consider yourself
- 49:50superior to those other branches.
- 49:52Do not be arrogant, but tremble.
- 49:55It says, this is one of the clearest New Testament warnings against boasting
- 49:58over Israel. So that's what we see a lot of times.
- 50:01Gentiles are rising up. It's like Paul foresaw this. He knew this was going to happen.
- 50:05And this was probably what was happening even in that early community.
- 50:09You know, there's people at each other's necks.
- 50:12Gentiles and Jews, but God's glory is manifested in Gentiles and Jews being at peace.
- 50:20And I think that that's what people that are up in arms against Israel are kind of missing the point.
- 50:26It says, it says there, there are 2 million Israeli Arabs with full citizenship.
- 50:31So it does become, so yeah, salvation is found in no one else talking about
- 50:36Jesus, but Jesus himself said that salvation is of the Jews. It's of the Jews.
- 50:43Romans 11, 25 through 27, a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the
- 50:48fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
- 50:50And in this way, all Israel will be saved.
- 50:53So that one, it's like the partial hardening, the blindness,
- 50:56you know, that Paul talks about, like when Moses is red, that veil that goes
- 51:00over their eyes, they don't see Jesus. And that, which is crazy.
- 51:03That's crazy. I'm going to finish this off in a little bit. And I know this,
- 51:07we're talking about serious stuff, but I'm going to try to do something that's,
- 51:09if anyone's hung around for this long, I'm going to try to laugh.
- 51:14And you're going to understand what I'm talking about at the end,
- 51:16because I'm going to explain what I'm talking about.
- 51:18Jesse's uncomfortable. Uncomfortable. Okay.
- 51:21Zechariah 12, two through three. These are some old Testament passages.
- 51:25I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling.
- 51:30All the nations of the earth will gather against her. So this is talking about
- 51:33all the nations of the earth gathered against Israel.
- 51:36On that day, I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.
- 51:41Zechariah 12, 10. They will look on me, the one they pierced.
- 51:46It's talking about Jesus.
- 51:48The final battle, we're going to see, this is in Zechariah 14, 1 through 4.
- 51:52I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it.
- 51:56Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations. On that day,
- 52:00his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. That's when Jesus returns.
- 52:04But we do see all the nations are against to Israel, but God stands up and defends
- 52:08it. That's, that's his bride, you know?
- 52:10And we're kind of like, we are kind of like the, I see it as like Joseph.
- 52:14He goes into Egypt and he, he becomes like Egyptian and then his brothers come
- 52:18down there, but he, he marries.
- 52:20You remember her name? What is her name? Joseph? No, Joseph.
- 52:25Who did he marry? What's her name?
- 52:29I want to, I want to get, it's like,
- 52:31What is her name? I want to get it without having to look it up.
- 52:34No, I'm looking it up. No, I'll look it up.
- 52:36I wanted her, like, I don't, I forget. It is Joseph's wife.
- 52:44I want to get it before I even look at it. I'm trying to, are you finding it?
- 52:47I'm just going to look it up.
- 52:49Read what he said, though. There are two million. Asenath. Asenath. That's what it was.
- 52:54I wanted to get it before, yeah. But so I just see it as like the Gentile part
- 52:58of the church is kind of like that jesus is in egypt he's away from his brothers
- 53:04but he marries this kind of like.
- 53:07Egyptian woman and now and they have children or whatever and like that's kind
- 53:11of like the gentile side of the church you know and then then there's the reuniting
- 53:15of jesus and the jews you know.
- 53:19Which is like it's like these are like so many things in like there's there's
- 53:22types and then there's greater fulfillments um mary yeah that yeah that was
- 53:26his mom i was her name was Aseneth.
- 53:29I was talking about Joseph's who he married in Egypt. And then he had Ephraim
- 53:33and right? He had Ephraim and Manasseh through.
- 53:37Go back down a little bit and read this. There are 2 million.
- 53:40There are 2 million Israeli Arabs with full citizenship so it doesn't become
- 53:44complicated when supporting Israel, supporting Mary.
- 53:47And he says because they are an apartheid state. So you're talking about yeah,
- 53:50Israel, talking about Israel as an apartheid state.
- 53:53And what does that even mean itself? Like it's just like,
- 53:56I just know, I always think of Rwanda, apartheid, South Africa.
- 54:00It's, I mean, there is this major hostility that is happening there.
- 54:04So it's like, I like Israel and Jews and Arabs or Jews and Muslims are very
- 54:10against each other in a lot of ways, because a lot of times Muslims want to,
- 54:14they want to, they want to destroy Jews.
- 54:17I mean, if you even read, even through the Quran, it talks about,
- 54:20you know, because I see it, I see it as that Muhammad got a lot of his information
- 54:25probably from a Jewish person who probably missed, misled him and twisted some
- 54:30of the things to, I don't know. Yeah.
- 54:33An apartheid state is a government that enforces an institutionalized regime,
- 54:37regime of systematic oppression, racial segregation.
- 54:41Says there are 52 laws unique to Palestinian and Israel administrative detention.
- 54:46So yeah, like, so, oh, is this, maybe this is somebody like,
- 54:50so like, yeah, the whole Palestine and Israel thing, you know,
- 54:53like there's the, should there be a two-state solution?
- 54:56They don't hate Jews. They hate oppression.
- 54:59Oh, maybe talking about Muslims. So, so Palestinians, some are Christians,
- 55:04some are Muslims, some are like, but there is this major hostility.
- 55:08They hate brutal subjugation. Talking about, talking about Palestinians, I'm,
- 55:13Which, I mean, I just see it as Israel is this tiny little country and they
- 55:19are, that there's all these other nations around them that want to destroy them.
- 55:23And if they could, they would. And I think if, if we weren't supporting them
- 55:27as the United States, I think that we, they would be hit pretty hard,
- 55:31but I think ultimately God will protect them.
- 55:32That's how I see it as Palestinians can be kidnapped, detained indefinitely
- 55:36with no charges or legal representation, representation.
- 55:40Oh, there's probably some messed up things. And I'm not supporting everything
- 55:44that the government of Israel does and people that the IDF.
- 55:48But in general, I do have a support and stand with Israel. You know, it doesn't.
- 55:52We're not going to excuse evil things that happen by people that do evil things.
- 55:56There's people that are evil that are Jews. There's people that are evil that are Gentiles.
- 56:00So I wanted to read. They're still talking.
- 56:04So this is Zechariah 14, 9. The Lord will be king over the whole earth.
- 56:08Revelation 19, 11. Jesus returns on white horses, king of kings.
- 56:13So those are the main things. This is Joel 3, 1 through 2. I will gather all
- 56:17nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
- 56:20That's a valley in Jerusalem.
- 56:23Joel 3, 12 through 17, God judges the nations gathered against his people.
- 56:28So, I mean, whether, like, I just think in general, it's a good thing to support
- 56:31Israel, stand with Israel. They're not doing everything perfect.
- 56:34They're not always doing everything right.
- 56:36But I think as Gentiles, it is good to stand with them as much as you can.
- 56:40Please give some reference of form of proof.
- 56:43Who is doing all the destroying, then do you stand with oppression and the oppressor?
- 56:49Because when you say I stand with Israel, it makes it sound like everything
- 56:53they're doing. We're like making them the Goliath.
- 56:56Because a lot of the nations around them, they feel like they're the Goliath
- 56:59and they're the ones you support apartheid or you don't.
- 57:02When you say apartheid, we were just looking that up. What did that say again?
- 57:05Racial segregation, extreme oppression. Obviously, yeah, no, no.
- 57:10Definitely not. Systematic oppression and racial segregation.
- 57:13The Amnesty International report now.
- 57:15Do you? Yeah, so I, it's called Welcome to Hell. Very closed-minded.
- 57:20I don't know what you're saying, closed-minded. I'm closed-minded to some things.
- 57:23They're kind of talking to each other. Yeah, so like, yeah.
- 57:27But just in general, like, I think we can support Israel. We can be very nuanced.
- 57:32Like the biblical, the heart of God Israel. And we're saddened by the things that are going on now.
- 57:37Yeah, just like in general, like, there was armies and kings of Israel that
- 57:41are evil, that did terrible things.
- 57:43And people of Israel, people can do things and terrible things in the name of
- 57:47Christ, terrible things in the name of Muhammad, which I, but I in general think
- 57:51Muhammad was not good. I would, I would say in general, he is not good to follow
- 57:55him. I see him as a false prophet.
- 57:58He is not the, he is not just a continuation. He's a person that Satan has used
- 58:02to lead a lot of people astray.
- 58:04But that does not say that there are not very good Muslims because there are.
- 58:08So very, so he's talking to me, thou shall not kill. So, yeah,
- 58:12I mean, I, hey, within war, they're, they're in war. They're doing some,
- 58:16uh, and stuff that they're defending themselves.
- 58:18There's people on both sides. I just see it as like us to say that we're going
- 58:22to defend everything Hamas is doing.
- 58:24If we could weed out and Hamas and what's the other one, Hezbollah that's in,
- 58:29it's like, cause we, cause that's the thing that Iran has made it that they're
- 58:33not going to stop fighting against us or unless they, unless Israel stops bombing Lebanon,
- 58:39which Israel probably is doing
- 58:40bad things when they blow up a whole building to get to one terrorist.
- 58:44But it's like, why are we not as United States going in there and saying,
- 58:48Lebanon, get all your Hezbollah, like terrorists, get them out of there.
- 58:52Or why are we not standing up for the people of Palestine and saying, get all.
- 58:57The Hamas leaders that are just holding all you ransom and using you as human
- 59:02shields so i think we can do but you know what i mean like why are we not calling that out,
- 59:07like there's people there's probably people evil on israel's side and there's
- 59:11people evil on palestinian side war is nasty,
- 59:14all the way around there's no oh yeah yeah and so it's like so i'm not defending
- 59:19evil actions but like a war is itself is bad you know like i i just see like
- 59:24people have made it that there is just,
- 59:27the the there's a genocide happening over there whereas.
- 59:31They want to weed out the terrorism over there.
- 59:35It's like, could we, it would be like us, like we live in Missouri in the United States.
- 59:40Like, would we feel comfortable that people that just want to kill us and if
- 59:43they had bombs, they would drop them on us in a second?
- 59:46Like living like a state, the next state over.
- 59:49Collective punishment against a caged civilian. Population is not Christian. It's satanic.
- 59:54I would come up and, I understand your view, but I am informed on both sides
- 59:58of the situation. It's not a war. or it's caged civilian part.
- 1:00:01But like that itself, like why do we not as United States like get them out
- 1:00:05of that cage? Why don't we step in and take and disarm these,
- 1:00:10the people that, you know, that are.
- 1:00:12Using them as human shields. And, and because we just make it seem like,
- 1:00:15because Israel does something, they're trying to take, take out people,
- 1:00:19which they're probably killing people that are innocent as well, which is bad.
- 1:00:23But it's like, we, as the United States, we do bad things. Like it's governments and wars.
- 1:00:28It's, I don't think it like says that Palestinians, people are evil and completely,
- 1:00:32or Israel is evil completely.
- 1:00:34But I do see it as we, we still, as Christians, We should support and stand
- 1:00:38with Israel in general, not necessarily like the modern state of Israel,
- 1:00:43like the, everything that they do is perfect, but from a biblical perspective, that's how I see it.
- 1:00:48So, but what do you think, Jesse? I want to see if there's any other.
- 1:00:51Yeah. They're like, there's so much there. And I love getting into that because
- 1:00:54I do see a lot of people when they talk about this, they talk over each other
- 1:00:57and they just say, you, you, you support people murdering babies.
- 1:01:00It's like, no, obviously not. That's stupid. Why are you even saying that?
- 1:01:03Just making like just making the poison in the well or whatever like any real discussion about it.
- 1:01:12I i i i understand i i do i i i do feel like i have like a like um,
- 1:01:19i'm open to being like whatever is truth you know but i do have pretty strong
- 1:01:23opinions about this like like because i do just see it as people have made it
- 1:01:27seem like israel is completely evil what they're doing because that's the talking points.
- 1:01:32But I do, I'm not going to say that there are people in Israel that aren't doing
- 1:01:36evil things. I'm not meaning that. I'm not at all meaning that.
- 1:01:40So I think we can distinguish between the modern state of Israel, the biblical Israel.
- 1:01:45But if we just get down to that, when we're talking about that,
- 1:01:50I just see it as that I do see them as a kernel of them, of who they are.
- 1:01:55That is the real Israel. I do see that as the real Israel of the Bible.
- 1:02:02Not necessarily, or what we heard the other day, it's kind of like what the
- 1:02:05Messiah will ride in on. They're the donkey that the Messiah will ride in on.
- 1:02:09Not not to say that the that the that messiah that donkey's perfect but it's
- 1:02:14just doing its job it's the vehicle which the messiah will come in on that's
- 1:02:17how i see it uh read a normal norman finkelstein maybe,
- 1:02:23so but you should look into more impartial sources i i do i do try to be i don't
- 1:02:28i'm not just ideologue i'm very like reasonable and like and open to anything i do come up.
- 1:02:35I say what I mean, but I'm always in like, I could be wrong. Open to learning more.
- 1:02:40Yeah, definitely. All right. Do you have anything else, Jessie? I don't think so.
- 1:02:44All right. Well, we got into a bunch of stuff. I think for everyone that's commented,
- 1:02:47thank you for your perspectives, your opinions, what you believe.
- 1:02:51Definitely keep coming. Let us know, drop a comment and hope you all have a
- 1:02:55great rest of your day. We'll see you on the next one.
