- 0:00Speaker 1: Here's more. Mark Simone on seven to ten, wor Hey,
- 0:09Speaker 1: it's Monday, but it's a beautiful day. It's going to
- 0:11Speaker 1: be a bright, beautiful sunny day. That's great news. A
- 0:14Speaker 1: lot to get to this hour. So the president, now
- 0:19Speaker 1: there's a press conference coming up in two hours, so
- 0:22Speaker 1: this may come up there. There's now talk of I
- 0:25Speaker 1: remember they were talking about a ceasefire. We've got negotiations
- 0:28Speaker 1: going with Iran through other countries, through Pakistan, other countries.
- 0:32Speaker 1: But there's and several other countries have joined in trying
- 0:35Speaker 1: to put together a forty five day ceasefire. Forty five
- 0:39Speaker 1: day ceasefire. So now this word, the President may talk
- 0:41Speaker 1: about that a little later and may go along with it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So you may see some sort of ceasefire, forty five
- 0:47Speaker 1: day ceasefire. Now people, of course the left will go
- 0:51Speaker 1: back to Taco Trump and what about the hormuz. He
- 0:55Speaker 1: didn't get the straight so hormo soap. And again you
- 0:58Speaker 1: got to keep reminding everybody straight of hormuse closed doesn't
- 1:02Speaker 1: hurt us in any way. We don't get oil from
- 1:05Speaker 1: the straits of hormose, we're not using it for anything.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Straight of hormose closed hurts Iran more than anybody. It's
- 1:12Speaker 1: their only source of income right now. Selling oil is
- 1:16Speaker 1: their only source of income. And they can't sell any
- 1:20Speaker 1: oil with the straits of Hormuse closed. So the longer
- 1:22Speaker 1: it's closed, the more harm it does Iran. It doesn't
- 1:26Speaker 1: do anything to us. We don't use any oil out
- 1:29Speaker 1: of there. Now, you could argue, yeah, but it brings
- 1:32Speaker 1: up the price worldwide, and that lifts the price of
- 1:35Speaker 1: our American oil that we use. Yeah, but it doesn't
- 1:37Speaker 1: have to. At any point, President could just tell the
- 1:41Speaker 1: WTI and the other oil producers here put the price
- 1:44Speaker 1: back down. It's easy to do. Again. We have all
- 1:48Speaker 1: the oil we need in this country. In fact, we
- 1:49Speaker 1: have excess oil. We're actually an exporter now of oil,
- 1:53Speaker 1: not depending on the hormoose for anything. The talk about
- 1:59Speaker 1: going after the pre in war crimes. You can't blow
- 2:01Speaker 1: up bridges or power plants. Yes, of course you can.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It's done all the time in every single war. And
- 2:07Speaker 1: we blew up a bridge a week ago and it
- 2:10Speaker 1: was the newest most expensive highest bridge in Iran. We
- 2:16Speaker 1: just blew it up. Now the reason we actually blew
- 2:18Speaker 1: it up, of course, if you're watching NBCCBSABC, New York
- 2:23Speaker 1: Times CNN. You're not going to know anything that's really
- 2:26Speaker 1: going on. All they showed was look at it. We
- 2:28Speaker 1: blew up this beautiful new They just spent zillions building
- 2:31Speaker 1: this bridge and we blew it up. How awful. What
- 2:34Speaker 1: they forgot to tell you was the bridge was used
- 2:38Speaker 1: only by the Republican ar Guard, that Republican Army, and
- 2:41Speaker 1: the bridge was being used to transport weapons and military stuff.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It was not a civilian target. It was strictly military.
- 2:50Speaker 1: The awful, evil Republican Guard only ones using the bridge,
- 2:55Speaker 1: So that's why we took it out. Now there are
- 2:57Speaker 1: more bridges and all that stuff. As far as shutting
- 3:00Speaker 1: off power, why isn't that just going after the Iranian people.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You have to remember in the last few months they've
- 3:07Speaker 1: been without this power and without the internet many times.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Anytime there was rebellion or too much protest, that's what
- 3:15Speaker 1: the government do. Shut off all the power, shut off
- 3:17Speaker 1: the internet, trying to slow that down. So people in
- 3:22Speaker 1: Iran are pretty used to it. The one o'clock press
- 3:26Speaker 1: conference will also go into detail about the rescue operation.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It was absolutely dazzling. Now for younger people, they don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: remember how this all started in nineteen seventy nine. Iran
- 3:41Speaker 1: took hundreds of Americans hostage, our embassy people they captured
- 3:47Speaker 1: and took them hostage. And it was Jimmy Carter who
- 3:50Speaker 1: was president, who was almost as bad as Biden, totally ineffective. Carter,
- 3:57Speaker 1: just like a lot of Democrats, you know, tried to
- 3:59Speaker 1: appease Iran. We'll send you money, we'll try to be
- 4:02Speaker 1: nice to you. Just let our hostage. That stuff doesn't
- 4:05Speaker 1: work with Iran, and think about that. For it was
- 4:10Speaker 1: a year they had hundreds of Americans being held hostage
- 4:16Speaker 1: in Iran. And every night ABC at eleven thirty, besides
- 4:22Speaker 1: all the other news coverage, ABC, every night at eleven
- 4:25Speaker 1: thirty would put on this guy named Ted Copple, who
- 4:28Speaker 1: people didn't know yet, to do a full report every
- 4:32Speaker 1: single night, every week night about the Iran hostages. And
- 4:35Speaker 1: he would come on and say this is day twenty seven,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and then he would come on and say this is
- 4:40Speaker 1: day two hundred and thirty six, and then that nightly
- 4:43Speaker 1: eleven thirty thing. Once the hostages were released, it was
- 4:45Speaker 1: finally Reagan got elected and Reagan got the hostages released.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But what about that eleven thirty show well, they changed
- 4:53Speaker 1: the name to Nightline and had it continue. That's how
- 4:55Speaker 1: Nightline started. But during this hostage crisis, at one point
- 4:59Speaker 1: Jimmy tried to rescue them and he sent in a
- 5:03Speaker 1: bunch of commandos in helicopters. Now, the difference here is
- 5:08Speaker 1: the hostages were being held in a more urban area,
- 5:12Speaker 1: so it was the most bungled military operation ever. Carter
- 5:18Speaker 1: sent in special forces in these helicopters. They landed and
- 5:21Speaker 1: tried to get to the embassy, but they didn't know
- 5:24Speaker 1: what the hell they were doing. It was democrats trying
- 5:26Speaker 1: to run the military. They didn't know. Where they landed
- 5:29Speaker 1: was in the middle of the marketplace that's open, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: they fed it in the middle of the night. They
- 5:32Speaker 1: didn't realize the markets open all night, plenty of people there.
- 5:36Speaker 1: They saw the soldiers, our soldiers were captured, killed, paraded
- 5:40Speaker 1: through the streets. It was just humiliating for the United States.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So all these years later, and that's forty seven years ago,
- 5:49Speaker 1: all these years later, the most incredible rescue operation just
- 5:53Speaker 1: took place. Now you got to ran threatening everything. They're
- 5:57Speaker 1: threatening to escalate. Well, I don't know if they could escalate,
- 6:01Speaker 1: they would have done it. Already. They've done as much
- 6:04Speaker 1: bad stuff as they can. They've been firing missiles into Dubai, Kuwait, Israel,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and they've been aiming at apartment buildings, they've been aiming
- 6:12Speaker 1: at hotels, they've been trying to kill civilians. You know
- 6:17Speaker 1: the president. If you're watching all the crazy news, fake
- 6:20Speaker 1: news talking about the President's threatening war crimes, war crimes,
- 6:23Speaker 1: keeping this phrase war crimes. Here is Iran for the
- 6:26Speaker 1: last three four weeks deliberately bombing hotels and apartment buildings.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And you haven't heard any of these same fake news
- 6:34Speaker 1: people ever ever ever mentioned the words war crimes with
- 6:38Speaker 1: those incidents, never ever ever mentioned it. If you were
- 6:43Speaker 1: watching Saturday Night Live, and I doubt you were, hardly
- 6:45Speaker 1: anybody does anymore SNL. There was one joke people are
- 6:51Speaker 1: talking about when they do that fake newscast, one sick joke.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They made a joke about Trump getting assassinated. You remember
- 6:59Speaker 1: last week President Trump went to the Kennedy Center to
- 7:02Speaker 1: see the Broadway musical Chicago. And so the two fake
- 7:07Speaker 1: newscasters said, yeah, I think that's cool. The president is
- 7:12Speaker 1: going to the theater. President going to a theater. What's
- 7:15Speaker 1: the worst that could happen. Of course, they're referring to
- 7:19Speaker 1: Lincoln being assassinated in the theater, So it's a joke
- 7:22Speaker 1: about the president being assassinated while Saturday Night Live. The
- 7:25Speaker 1: audience started laughing like crazy, and then they started cheering
- 7:30Speaker 1: like crazy, and then applauding like crazy. So they're cheering
- 7:33Speaker 1: and applauding President Trump getting assassinated. It was a little sick.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Then they cut to the other fake newscaster who's given
- 7:41Speaker 1: this mischievous smile. So it's a sick thing to joke about.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Even sicker when it's a president who just survived two
- 7:49Speaker 1: assassination attempts, two assassination attempts, and they're joking about it.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Hey stole a lot of Epstein fall out. Everywhere there's
- 8:00Speaker 1: it's a shrink. He's some sort of psychiatrist. He's also
- 8:05Speaker 1: a billionaire. He made a lot of money. I think
- 8:07Speaker 1: he created movie phone. Remember that movie phone? Your kids
- 8:11Speaker 1: today you wouldn't know about that. Back in the good
- 8:13Speaker 1: old days in the nineties, you had to call a
- 8:16Speaker 1: phone number to find out what movie was playing. Where
- 8:20Speaker 1: we didn't have a smartphone or any apps. You had
- 8:22Speaker 1: to call movie phone. But he sold it at the
- 8:25Speaker 1: Google and somebody who somebody bought it for a fortune,
- 8:29Speaker 1: so he made a lot of money. But apparently he's
- 8:31Speaker 1: very good friends with Epstein, and he's always all over
- 8:35Speaker 1: the news on the weekend. For you know, some of
- 8:38Speaker 1: these people in the Epstein files, the emails back and forth,
- 8:41Speaker 1: they're not so bad. But with some of them, like
- 8:43Speaker 1: this guy, it's pretty bad. It's all about women, it's
- 8:46Speaker 1: all about the island, it's all. It's pretty obvious. So
- 8:51Speaker 1: the good news for him, he's not well known. Nobody
- 8:53Speaker 1: knows who the hell he is, so it got a
- 8:55Speaker 1: big article of New York Post, a couple other places
- 8:59Speaker 1: Daily may or The Guardian or something like that, and
- 9:01Speaker 1: then you won't hear about it again. There's a couple
- 9:03Speaker 1: of people that are really bad, really bad in the
- 9:07Speaker 1: Epstein files. Now there's a couple that I know, one
- 9:09Speaker 1: guy in particular, who always bragged everybody Epstein is the
- 9:12Speaker 1: closest friend I've ever had, And if you read the emails,
- 9:15Speaker 1: really disgusting. It's all about the women, it's all this. Luckily,
- 9:19Speaker 1: nobody in the world knows who the hell this guy is.
- 9:21Speaker 1: He's so unknown, it gets no attention, So he gets
- 9:25Speaker 1: lucky there, nobody knows who, Nobody's going to write about him.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson turn up in the Epstein files. Now,
- 9:35Speaker 1: Sarah Ferguson looks like she was just taking money from Epstein,
- 9:38Speaker 1: doing stuff with Epstein. But with the case of Prince Andrew,
- 9:41Speaker 1: looks like he was involved not only with the women,
- 9:43Speaker 1: but with the young girls. Most of the people involved
- 9:46Speaker 1: with Epstein and women, it was not young girls, it
- 9:49Speaker 1: was not underage That was just Epstein personally that's what
- 9:53Speaker 1: he liked, and maybe a couple of his friends. It
- 9:55Speaker 1: looks like Prince Andrew was also involved with the underage girls.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So they had the big Easter. As big a thing
- 10:02Speaker 1: as it is in the United States, it's much bigger
- 10:04Speaker 1: in Great Britain. And the Royal family at Easter. Why
- 10:07Speaker 1: that's such an important Well, it turns out Prince Andrew
- 10:11Speaker 1: and Sarah Ferguson were excluded from the Royal Family's Easter gathering.
- 10:17Speaker 1: They were barred from it. Prince Andrew instead was seen
- 10:21Speaker 1: at his sand Dringham estate driving around in his range
- 10:25Speaker 1: Rover and then was out with his two corgies. The
- 10:28Speaker 1: two dogs they were out in the field had taken
- 10:31Speaker 1: a walk while the rest of the family, the royal
- 10:34Speaker 1: family gathered, and he was totally totally ostracized. Now, so
- 10:39Speaker 1: that's it for him. Still got to worry about criminal
- 10:43Speaker 1: charges and all of that kind of stuff. So the
- 10:48Speaker 1: President with the tweet with the F word, all of
- 10:51Speaker 1: that got a lot of people going crazy. Stephen A. Smith,
- 10:56Speaker 1: Alex Jones. They're all yelling and screaming. You can't talk
- 11:00Speaker 1: like this. You can't. This is a clown show, said Joe.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Can you imagine Alex Jones calling you a clown politico?
- 11:09Speaker 1: It's disgraceful. Now listen as I keep explaining, he does
- 11:14Speaker 1: this deliberately. And if you think, well, this is no
- 11:18Speaker 1: way to negotiate, you can't say that. This guy's the
- 11:21Speaker 1: master negotiator. He's been in the most roughest, toughest negotiations
- 11:25Speaker 1: for forty years. He's Babe Ruth when it comes to negotiating.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So you can't argue. But here's all the political said,
- 11:35Speaker 1: this is no way to talk. Jonathan K part on
- 11:39Speaker 1: ms NOW, The twenty fifth Amendment should be invoked ms now,
- 11:44Speaker 1: that's MSNBC ms NOW. Senior medical analyst doctor Vin Gupta
- 11:49Speaker 1: believes President Trump is showing all signs of dementia. Now,
- 11:54Speaker 1: of course, if you check the record, this same Vin
- 11:56Speaker 1: Gupta said Joe Biden, he looks fine, he looks wow,
- 11:59Speaker 1: he looks sharp. Mediaite. I love media Eite, but it's
- 12:03Speaker 1: a real far left, totally partisan, biased website. Democrats questioned
- 12:09Speaker 1: Trump's mental fitness ramp up twenty fifth Amendment push after
- 12:14Speaker 1: the president's utterly unhinged ran tweet. It doesn't. It didn't
- 12:21Speaker 1: look unhinged, looked like he was mad. I mean, just
- 12:24Speaker 1: because the guy uses the F word. Hey, by the way,
- 12:26Speaker 1: every president uses that F word more than Trump, if
- 12:30Speaker 1: you're in private with him, if you got the door
- 12:32Speaker 1: closed and there's no microphones and cameras. Obama used the
- 12:36Speaker 1: F word like crazy. Joe Biden all the time. In fact,
- 12:40Speaker 1: remember Joe Biden used it on television a couple of times.
- 12:44Speaker 1: George Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan. The F word was
- 12:49Speaker 1: flying around. Hey, go back and listen to the Nixon tapes.
- 12:53Speaker 1: The F word is every sentence. You know. There's a
- 12:56Speaker 1: John F. Kennedy tapes. Do you ever listen to the
- 12:58Speaker 1: Kennedy tapes? Go go on YouTube and type in John F.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Kennedy phone calls. There's a lot of these tapes to
- 13:04Speaker 1: him on the phone. The F word is flying out
- 13:07Speaker 1: of his mouth left and right. They're great tapes to
- 13:10Speaker 1: listen to. Hey, the Trump administration is fighting to get
- 13:15Speaker 1: that ballroom project going again. The crazy judge. There's always
- 13:20Speaker 1: a crazy Court of appeals, district courts circuit, always a
- 13:24Speaker 1: crazy left wing judge to shut down everything. So they
- 13:27Speaker 1: shut down the listed. They can't build the ballroom. You
- 13:29Speaker 1: got to stop. The appeal is underway. Twenty seven page
- 13:33Speaker 1: motion filed Friday. In the motion, the lawyers Justice Department
- 13:38Speaker 1: lawyers argue that the ballroom is also necessary. By stopping construction,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you're putting national security at risk, the lives of the
- 13:48Speaker 1: White House staffers and family endanger. Now what do they
- 13:51Speaker 1: mean by it sounds a little a little hyperbolic, But
- 13:55Speaker 1: they explained that part of the ballroom they didn't want
- 13:58Speaker 1: to make this two public. But underneath the ballroom they
- 14:01Speaker 1: were building bunkers to defend against hostile attacks. They were
- 14:06Speaker 1: building all sorts of situation room type stuff, secret stuff,
- 14:10Speaker 1: a hospital and medical area. You know in the White
- 14:13Speaker 1: House there's a little medical office. If you're the president
- 14:17Speaker 1: or anybody in the White House you suddenly gets sick.
- 14:19Speaker 1: There's a doctor, actually two doctors are in that medical office,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and they got a lot of equipment in there. Fully
- 14:24Speaker 1: equipped medical office. You can run right over there, or
- 14:28Speaker 1: in the President Sometimes you come into the Oval office
- 14:30Speaker 1: and you're coughing too much. He'll say, go to the
- 14:34Speaker 1: medical office right now, go see the doctor, right and
- 14:36Speaker 1: then you walk down the hall and you're in a
- 14:39Speaker 1: medical office getting examined. So they were going to expand that,
- 14:43Speaker 1: build a much more elaborate medical office, you know, more equipment,
- 14:47Speaker 1: you know, like cat scan all that kind of stuff
- 14:50Speaker 1: in there, and a whole medical area. There was going
- 14:53Speaker 1: to be all sorts of top secret military installation structures equipment.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So that's going to be part of the appeal. Hey,
- 14:59Speaker 1: well take some call in a minute. Eight hundred three
- 15:02Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten is the number. Give me
- 15:05Speaker 1: a call if you've never called before. We like some
- 15:06Speaker 1: new callers. We got a lot of our regular callers
- 15:09Speaker 1: were great, But if you're a new caller eight hundred
- 15:12Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten, that's the problem.
- 15:15Speaker 1: A lot of people don't know the number eight hundred
- 15:18Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten.
- 15:20Speaker 2: He's marks alone on seven ten wr.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Hey, let's section calls eight hundred three to two one
- 15:31Speaker 1: zero seven tennis number. Let's go to Ed and Huntington, Ed.
- 15:34Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 15:36Speaker 3: Good morning? Mark?
- 15:36Speaker 4: Hell you?
- 15:37Speaker 1: What are you out in the wind?
- 15:38Speaker 5: I'm walking to Hetcha parks here on Honeyton.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Ekser Park is beautiful in Huntington. A lot of great
- 15:43Speaker 1: stuff in Huntington, Long Island. I was there Friday night.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 15:47Speaker 6: Oh good.
- 15:48Speaker 5: So that twenty seven page brief that they're going to
- 15:51Speaker 5: present to the court, I hope they include all the
- 15:53Speaker 5: things that Obama did with fifty million dollars dress the court.
- 15:58Speaker 3: They got no congressional.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Pool, yeah, and all these other projects. You know, they
- 16:01Speaker 5: should be included.
- 16:03Speaker 1: What are you having a hurricane there in Huntingdon Is
- 16:05Speaker 1: it that windy there?
- 16:07Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Okay, I'm looking at the window. It's so beautiful and sunny.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I said, what a great day to be out. And
- 16:15Speaker 1: then it sounds like he's in the Wizard of Oz.
- 16:17Speaker 1: They're about to get blown away. Let me just check
- 16:19Speaker 1: here on the wind. There can't be that bad, ken
- 16:23Speaker 1: it That sounded pretty bad. Uh oh no, it's fifteen
- 16:28Speaker 1: miles an hour. That's not so bad. Here I was
- 16:30Speaker 1: in Huntington Friday night. Uh Postal patso the great restaurant there. Uh,
- 16:35Speaker 1: check a look at my instagram, you'll see it there.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Uh.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Let's go to Paul in Connecticut. Paul, how you doing?
- 16:44Speaker 7: Yes?
- 16:44Speaker 8: How you doing?
- 16:45Speaker 7: Mark?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Good?
- 16:47Speaker 8: Good day? First time call or taking taking the call?
- 16:49Speaker 8: I'm calling you from what what's supposed to be the
- 16:52Speaker 8: constituents here. My question, you, Mark, would be with all
- 16:58Speaker 8: these government of hulls to have just scammed us, made
- 17:03Speaker 8: millions off of us, or we were gonna see one
- 17:06Speaker 8: government official and he handcuffs and you know, taken away
- 17:11Speaker 8: because I'm running out of time.
- 17:12Speaker 7: In my life.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oh, you got plenty. I got plenty of time. You're
- 17:15Speaker 1: in Connecticut, you got plenty of time.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Now.
- 17:17Speaker 1: That's one of the arguments against cam Bondy that not
- 17:20Speaker 1: enough was happening. But hopefully, I mean, like you know,
- 17:23Speaker 1: between the.
- 17:24Speaker 8: Clintons and fighting.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Hey, you live in Connecticut. How many how many government
- 17:28Speaker 1: officials have you had go to jail? You've had like
- 17:30Speaker 1: four governors go to jail. Every mayor of Bridgeport has
- 17:33Speaker 1: gone to jail. How many Waterbury mayors have gone to jail?
- 17:37Speaker 8: Well, listen, Mark, good. The good news is a good
- 17:40Speaker 8: friend of mine. Aaron Stewart is running? Who? Republican? Darren Stewart?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Who Aaron Stewart, Darren Stewart.
- 17:53Speaker 8: Yes, she's running for governor here he's a Republican.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Well, I know you got Nede running for a third term.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You got a bunch of Republicans. There's a primary Republican primary.
- 18:04Speaker 1: It's most likely Ryan Fozzio will get the nomination. Uh,
- 18:08Speaker 1: he's the big marriage's.
- 18:09Speaker 8: Going to give him a run. But anyway, Yeah, you
- 18:12Speaker 8: keep thinking of that, frustrated that you don't like what's
- 18:16Speaker 8: your name?
- 18:16Speaker 6: Momart over there?
- 18:18Speaker 8: If they have all this with her baked forty million
- 18:22Speaker 8: or whatever? Why is it all right?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Time?
- 18:25Speaker 6: Time?
- 18:25Speaker 1: You got a new you got a new attorney general.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You got Todd blanche he'll get more done than Bond
- 18:29Speaker 1: you will. Where are you in Connecticut?
- 18:32Speaker 6: Uh?
- 18:33Speaker 8: Just outside of Hartford?
- 18:34Speaker 1: Oh okay, no, wonder is sound in a million miles away?
- 18:37Speaker 1: But thanks for calling. Glad to have our Hartford listeners.
- 18:40Speaker 1: We got a lot of people in Hartford. Let's go
- 18:42Speaker 1: to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing, good.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, People forget that LBJ he made
- 18:49Speaker 3: the press talk to him while he was, let's say,
- 18:52Speaker 3: on the toilet.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Ye, yeah, yeah. He would actually invite you'd come into
- 18:57Speaker 1: the bathroom. He'd be sitting on the toilet talk to you.
- 19:00Speaker 4: That's right.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I have a question for you though about High Society
- 19:05Speaker 3: was on recently and the movie scene, yeah, the movie
- 19:09Speaker 3: a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, the scene in there
- 19:11Speaker 3: where Sinatra and Cosby are singing well did he ever?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Is one of my favorite scenes ever.
- 19:15Speaker 7: I love it.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Did Sinatra like Cosby and vice versa? The Cosby Oh.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, Bing Crosby was his idol
- 19:22Speaker 1: when he was a young guy. He didn't he didn't
- 19:24Speaker 1: want to sing like him. He wasn't a musical idol,
- 19:26Speaker 1: but he wanted to copy Crosby's career and Crosby's life,
- 19:30Speaker 1: and you know his tradition that you always sleep with
- 19:33Speaker 1: your leading lady. And Sinatra on every film slept with
- 19:37Speaker 1: the co star except one film, and that was High Society.
- 19:41Speaker 1: He never slept with Grace Kelly because he was too
- 19:44Speaker 1: intimidated in front of Ben, in front of Bing Crosby.
- 19:47Speaker 1: He didn't want to strike out, so he didn't even.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Try that's awesome.
- 19:53Speaker 1: So Grace Kelly was the one that got away, but
- 19:55Speaker 1: not for long. Later on in life he was able
- 19:58Speaker 1: to make.
- 19:59Speaker 3: A for that with her, and he substituted her with
- 20:02Speaker 3: the hYP of gardener, So not a bad replacement.
- 20:04Speaker 1: But he eventually got Grace Kelly all though thse years
- 20:06Speaker 1: later and in the U know he visited Monte Carlo
- 20:09Speaker 1: every summer. So all right, thanks for calling, Mike, always
- 20:15Speaker 1: a great call. Let's go to Bob and Brooklyn. Bob,
- 20:17Speaker 1: how you doing, Hey, Mike, how you doing?
- 20:20Speaker 7: Man?
- 20:20Speaker 2: Good? Yeah, I just want to say, I just want
- 20:24Speaker 2: to say too many people don't realize that the Iranians
- 20:29Speaker 2: do not need a nuclear bomb to hurt it. Okay,
- 20:32Speaker 2: such thing as a dirty bomb, which I know the
- 20:35Speaker 2: top military guys know, and all they do is pack
- 20:38Speaker 2: the uranium into to those called see which way the
- 20:41Speaker 2: wind is blown across.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Well, that's the reason you want to get rid of
- 20:43Speaker 1: all that material. Although the dirty bomb threat has always
- 20:46Speaker 1: been a threat that never ever, ever ever materializes for
- 20:49Speaker 1: a lot of reasons. It's a tough it's a tough
- 20:52Speaker 1: thing to pull off the dirty bomb. You have to again,
- 20:56Speaker 1: we've been worrying about this dirty bomb for forty five years,
- 21:02Speaker 1: fifty years. The problem is you got to know how
- 21:04Speaker 1: to handle the nuclear material. You got to know how
- 21:07Speaker 1: to make it into a dirty bomb, you got to
- 21:09Speaker 1: know how to transport it. There's been a few attempts,
- 21:12Speaker 1: but what usually happens is a primitive terrorist ends up
- 21:16Speaker 1: killing himself with the nuclear material, not handling it property,
- 21:20Speaker 1: not storing it properly. And if you had a dirty bomb,
- 21:24Speaker 1: it really could you do about a block or two.
- 21:26Speaker 1: That's about it. With a dirty bomb, you would if
- 21:29Speaker 1: you did it inside someway. I shouldn't be saying all this,
- 21:32Speaker 1: but if you did it inside like in Grand Central Station,
- 21:34Speaker 1: you could contaminate the terminal for years. But then even
- 21:39Speaker 1: if you did, they just simply open up another terminal somewhere.
- 21:42Speaker 1: The train tracks are underground, they would be protected. But
- 21:46Speaker 1: let's go to Mike in the Bronx. Mike, how you doing.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Good morning, Mike, mark As nice to talk to you.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Just one going to point out a mistake that you
- 21:54Speaker 6: made earlier when you talked about the rescue attempts in Iran. Yeah,
- 21:58Speaker 6: that when you convoy with the Somalia, But that was
- 22:03Speaker 6: where the Americans would ragged through the marketplace in Turan,
- 22:06Speaker 6: we lost all.
- 22:09Speaker 1: You may be right, you may be right, you're right.
- 22:11Speaker 1: It was a mogadusha where they dragged us through the
- 22:14Speaker 1: But now what happened in Aroun. I'm trying to remember.
- 22:15Speaker 1: We lost the helicopters. We lost those, the.
- 22:18Speaker 6: Helicopter crash to a rescue plane, and we lost eight
- 22:20Speaker 6: American soldiers.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, it was a different era, terrible backhand.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Two different Democratic clsins Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, good point, thanks for calling. Yeah, we've
- 22:32Speaker 1: had a lot of times where through the years we've
- 22:35Speaker 1: just abandoned stuff. We've lost people in Somalia, we've lost
- 22:38Speaker 1: people here. And you look back at Afghanistan. It looks
- 22:41Speaker 1: even stupider now that when we pulled out of Afghanistan, Uh,
- 22:48Speaker 1: we left everything there, like a billion dollars worth of hardware, airplanes,
- 22:51Speaker 1: fighter jets, everything. We just left it all there, thanks
- 22:55Speaker 1: to the General Millie, who was one of the worst
- 22:57Speaker 1: generals ever, the awful, awful General Millie. And he actually
- 23:02Speaker 1: Trump once had it out with Millie. He said, why
- 23:03Speaker 1: would you leave all this stuff there? And you're talking
- 23:06Speaker 1: about it like a seventy five million dollar fighter jet,
- 23:11Speaker 1: and Millie actually tried to explain to him it's cheaper
- 23:13Speaker 1: to leave it there than to try to take it out.
- 23:17Speaker 1: And Trump will tell you, he said, this is the
- 23:19Speaker 1: dumbest thing I ever heard of. General say, why wouldn't
- 23:22Speaker 1: it be cheaper to put half a tank of gas
- 23:23Speaker 1: in there and just fly it out of there and
- 23:27Speaker 1: keep it. And even if you're going to be stupid
- 23:30Speaker 1: enough to leave this stuff there, you got to blow
- 23:32Speaker 1: it up. As we were talking about the rescue operation
- 23:35Speaker 1: this weekend in Iran, we lost two planes, two massive
- 23:39Speaker 1: cargo planes and two rescue helicopters. They were disabled, they
- 23:44Speaker 1: were on the ground, so we had to go back
- 23:46Speaker 1: and blow them up so the enemy doesn't get them
- 23:48Speaker 1: and can't learn anything from the technology or use them.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So we had to blow up our own stuff. We
- 23:54Speaker 1: didn't do that. If you're going to leave in Afghanistan,
- 23:56Speaker 1: at least blow it up. All that Afghanistan plane, his
- 24:00Speaker 1: weaponry all fell into enemy hands and may have been
- 24:03Speaker 1: used against us in the past couple of weeks in Iran. Hey,
- 24:07Speaker 1: when we come back, actually with no guest. When we
- 24:09Speaker 1: come back, it was Miranda Devine. She had a cancel
- 24:11Speaker 1: she'll be with us later in the week, but coming
- 24:13Speaker 1: up next to We've got a lot to talk about and
- 24:15Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Just ahead on seven to ten
- 24:18Speaker 1: WR give woor oh, Bri said on the iHeartRadio app
- 24:23Speaker 1: to hear Mark.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 24:29Speaker 9: Now back to the Mark Simon show on woor.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 24:37Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number. So Bruce Springsteen
- 24:41Speaker 1: opened his Minnesota show. You know, he's a different Bruce now,
- 24:45Speaker 1: he's this old, irrelevant Bruce. So he's trying to get
- 24:48Speaker 1: back into the game with his anti war, anti Trump,
- 24:54Speaker 1: Trump derangement syndrome stuff. So he opened his Minnesota show
- 24:57Speaker 1: with a sixties motown declary. He opened with Marvin Gay's
- 25:03Speaker 1: or No it was Edwind Starr Remember Edwin Starr war?
- 25:06Speaker 1: What is It good for You? Opened with that song
- 25:09Speaker 1: when in the born in the USA? Then a long
- 25:12Speaker 1: speech you mentioned going to concert for music, and here's
- 25:15Speaker 1: a guy yelling and screaming in this political rant for
- 25:18Speaker 1: ten minutes about Trump being incompetent, he's a racist, he's corrupting,
- 25:23Speaker 1: went on and on. We are here in celebration and
- 25:26Speaker 1: defense of America democracy, our constitution. I don't know. This
- 25:31Speaker 1: is the audio. I don't know. It's hard to hear.
- 25:33Speaker 1: See if you can hear what he's saying. This is
- 25:35Speaker 1: just his his ranting and raving.
- 25:40Speaker 10: In service overseas term.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Racist. This goes on for him, and it's him yelling
- 26:01Speaker 1: and scream Look at the difference between him or Billy Joel.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Billy Joel comes out and he rattles off like twenty
- 26:08Speaker 1: seven hits in a row. He does moving out, he
- 26:11Speaker 1: does just the way you are he does uptown. It's
- 26:14Speaker 1: just one dazzling song. People that dance in the house.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Look at this guy comes out screaming and yelling at
- 26:19Speaker 1: like a maniac for ten minutes in between songs. But
- 26:24Speaker 1: I don't know. If he thinks it'll work, it'll work. Now,
- 26:26Speaker 1: you got a lot of concert goers. If you want
- 26:28Speaker 1: to go travel the country and do a big concert tour,
- 26:31Speaker 1: you got a lot of concert goers like the Billy
- 26:34Speaker 1: Joel people. Would you go to Madison Square Garden and
- 26:36Speaker 1: see him, that want music and want to be entertained.
- 26:39Speaker 1: You're gonna lose a lot of them who aren't going
- 26:41Speaker 1: to pay two thousand dollars to listen to you scream
- 26:43Speaker 1: about military operations, but it's getting them headlines. I guess
- 26:50Speaker 1: that's that's what he's looking for right now. You know
- 26:53Speaker 1: a lot of people should stay in there. Lane Bruce
- 26:56Speaker 1: is a good example. I love Reggie Jackson. He was
- 26:59Speaker 1: there opening day at Yankee Stadium. Reggie Jackson on my
- 27:04Speaker 1: favorite players of all time. But there he was yelling
- 27:06Speaker 1: and screaming about Pete Hegxith, the Secretary of Defense. How
- 27:10Speaker 1: do we get rid of how can he get rid
- 27:11Speaker 1: of all the experience at this time? How can he
- 27:14Speaker 1: fire a general? Help me? I don't get it. Help me,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I don't get it. He's a yelling and screaming about
- 27:20Speaker 1: Pete Hexith. The fact of the matter is, since he's
- 27:24Speaker 1: been there, Pete Hexith has executed the most incredible military
- 27:27Speaker 1: operations of any Secretary of Defense. I mean, you can't
- 27:32Speaker 1: argue with that. The Secretary of Defense has nothing to
- 27:34Speaker 1: do with setting policy or deciding what to do. He
- 27:37Speaker 1: simply executes what he's told to execute. But under Hexith,
- 27:40Speaker 1: we've had the most successful military operations ever to Saturday.
- 27:45Speaker 1: The rescue operation of that pilot, good example, capturing Maduro
- 27:50Speaker 1: good example. The incredible bombing and taking out the nuclear
- 27:54Speaker 1: reactors in Iran good example. There's plenty more, so you
- 27:58Speaker 1: can't argue with this kind of success. Actually has proven
- 28:00Speaker 1: himself over and over and over again. So that Artemis
- 28:06Speaker 1: space capsule is heading to the moon, four astronauts aboard.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Halfway to the moon. You ever see the technology they got,
- 28:12Speaker 1: especially now twenty twenty six, the technology in that space capsule.
- 28:19Speaker 1: But the one thing they can't figure out is the toilet.
- 28:22Speaker 1: You know that technology, but they can't get the toilet
- 28:26Speaker 1: to work. It was malfunctioning. They think they got it fixed.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Now it's malfunctioning again. They think it's ice blockage and
- 28:35Speaker 1: they've tried to repair it, but apparently it's not working.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Can you imagine, First of all, could you imagine being
- 28:42Speaker 1: stuck in this little capsule for two weeks with four guys? Now,
- 28:45Speaker 1: can you imagine being in there without a toilet? They say,
- 28:48Speaker 1: because it's backed up, the smell is unbelievable and they
- 28:53Speaker 1: can't use the toilet. Let me see, I think this
- 28:57Speaker 1: is the uh NASAU official, NASA official. Isn't this?
- 29:01Speaker 4: It technically will work with number one right now, but
- 29:03Speaker 4: we just want to keep the tanks half full right
- 29:05Speaker 4: now until we figure out what's going on with the
- 29:07Speaker 4: vent line.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Absolutely, it's still goes for number two. It's no go
- 29:12Speaker 1: for number two. There, Yeah, no number two. So the
- 29:14Speaker 1: toilet's not working. So they're using this is real government
- 29:18Speaker 1: type technology. So instead of a toilet, the crew is
- 29:22Speaker 1: now using this is what they call it, a collapsible
- 29:25Speaker 1: contingency urine device. You don't know what that is. A
- 29:31Speaker 1: collapsible contingency urine device. It's probably that cup they're giving
- 29:37Speaker 1: the doctor's office. That's probably all it is. It's like
- 29:40Speaker 1: camping in outer space. But then it makes camping a
- 29:44Speaker 1: little bit tougher when you don't have the full capability
- 29:46Speaker 1: of the toilet. You know, maybe we shouldn't be back
- 29:49Speaker 1: in space. You know, we had a space program in
- 29:51Speaker 1: the fifties, sixties, seventies, and it went pretty well. Most times.
- 29:56Speaker 1: We somehow we're able to have a toilet. The toilet
- 29:59Speaker 1: was always own, always working. Remember President Trump first term,
- 30:04Speaker 1: he killed General Solomoni, the Iranian terrorist leader. He was
- 30:09Speaker 1: this awful, evil Iranian terrorist supreme leader. We killed him
- 30:13Speaker 1: in the first term. Trump blew him up. Well, just
- 30:16Speaker 1: this past week they found out his niece and grand
- 30:18Speaker 1: niece were living in Los Angeles lavishly mansions, hundreds of
- 30:26Speaker 1: thousands of dollars worth of cars. Well, they found them,
- 30:29Speaker 1: They found them in LA They've grabbed them. Ice has
- 30:32Speaker 1: arrested them and has thrown them a hell out of
- 30:35Speaker 1: the country. Now, is it fair to go after his kids. Yes,
- 30:38Speaker 1: in this case, because apparently the kids were going crazy
- 30:42Speaker 1: supporting the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. They were organizing all
- 30:48Speaker 1: kinds of resistance against the United States. So they were arrested,
- 30:52Speaker 1: they were deported. That's good news, Mayor Mamdani, And that's
- 30:59Speaker 1: pretty In the budget fight, all of that, it's one
- 31:03Speaker 1: hundred days now, just about one hundred days of Mam
- 31:05Speaker 1: Donnie and a lot of people shocked he got into
- 31:08Speaker 1: such a battle with the city council. The city council
- 31:12Speaker 1: is led by a common sense Democrat and Mam Donnie
- 31:16Speaker 1: wants to raise taxes like crazy to fill the budget gap.
- 31:18Speaker 1: And she has to stand up to him and explain
- 31:21Speaker 1: that's not how you close a budget gap. You cut
- 31:24Speaker 1: five billion out of the budget. It's pretty simple, and
- 31:28Speaker 1: it's a five billion dollar gap. You just cut five billion.
- 31:31Speaker 1: The budget is double what it should be anyway. So
- 31:34Speaker 1: Mam Donnie does what he does best. He runs out
- 31:36Speaker 1: and makes videos attacking the city council president. It looks ridiculous.
- 31:41Speaker 1: It turned off a lot of people. You know, they
- 31:43Speaker 1: always say, is this the hill you want to die on? Well,
- 31:46Speaker 1: a lot of people shocked that Mam Donnie tried on
- 31:49Speaker 1: this hill because it's too early and he's going to lose.
- 31:52Speaker 1: This battle, going to make him look very, very very weak.
- 31:56Speaker 1: There's a lot of city council battles come and experienced
- 32:00Speaker 1: leaders stunned that he screwed up so badly on his
- 32:03Speaker 1: first battle. That's good news for us. It means the
- 32:06Speaker 1: city council speaker, Julie Menin, who's a reasonable Democrat, more moderate,
- 32:11Speaker 1: she'll be in charge from now on. Hey, let's take
- 32:14Speaker 1: some calls. Let's go to Quinn in Alabama. Quinn, how
- 32:17Speaker 1: you doing good?
- 32:19Speaker 7: How are you?
- 32:20Speaker 1: I'm good?
- 32:21Speaker 6: I think they're off with that makes a difference there.
- 32:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't understand how you're in the radio in
- 32:26Speaker 7: New York and you gotta come me for mayor. I
- 32:29Speaker 7: don't get it, don't I don't get how a person
- 32:31Speaker 7: could be Jewish and vote for a Democrat.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I'm just well, as far as I know, the Jewish
- 32:37Speaker 1: community did not vote for mom Donnie. I know they
- 32:39Speaker 1: they supported him, they endorsed him, but if you look
- 32:41Speaker 1: at the actual vote count, he did not win any
- 32:43Speaker 1: Jewish votes. They all voted against.
- 32:45Speaker 6: Close my mind.
- 32:46Speaker 7: Got a guy in Illinois.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Running for mayor.
- 32:48Speaker 6: My sister is all for him.
- 32:50Speaker 7: His platform is he's okay with ice, but he doesn't
- 32:54Speaker 7: want him to operate within ten miles of the border. Well,
- 32:59Speaker 7: no border, own, no ice ten miles of the border.
- 33:02Speaker 1: It's one thing about living in the South, living in Alabama,
- 33:04Speaker 1: you tend to have a lot of common sense. You're
- 33:05Speaker 1: far removed from all this craziness. Blows my mind.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Saw Ian Anderson a couple of years ago. He turned
- 33:12Speaker 7: Aqua Lunguh Jethro Tull into a Montando scientist in a
- 33:18Speaker 7: little film about how he was sabotaging his employer because
- 33:23Speaker 7: they were making a horrible bio.
- 33:26Speaker 1: You know, uh, you started off great minute and a half.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I don't think anybody knows what you're talking about. But
- 33:31Speaker 1: are you're a Jethro Tall fan? Yes, well that explains it.
- 33:36Speaker 7: But people come out of the theater just fitting fire
- 33:40Speaker 7: all right, well, great, Paul, thanks for calling.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Jethro Tull. I haven't heard that name in a million years.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Let's go to Randall in Maryland. Randall, how you doing good, March?
- 33:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I was never good in math. Maybe you could
- 33:53Speaker 4: help me with something, but uh, the news of the
- 33:57Speaker 4: astronautser and God blessed those astronauts. But they're going deeper
- 34:02Speaker 4: in space that no man has ever gone before. How
- 34:06Speaker 4: does that difference between the Apollo missions.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Well, they're going to take a wider orbit on the
- 34:10Speaker 1: other side, so they're going to go around the Moon.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Usually just kind of orbit the moon land on the Moon,
- 34:15Speaker 1: They're going to take a very very very very wide
- 34:18Speaker 1: orbit around there. That's one reason it's taken longer than
- 34:21Speaker 1: other missions.
- 34:22Speaker 4: But I wish them well, I wish them well.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we all do kind of need Elon Musk to
- 34:27Speaker 1: get involved. I mean, they can't get the toilet to work.
- 34:30Speaker 1: You think that would happen with Elon Musk.
- 34:31Speaker 7: Never.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Let's go to Tony in White Plains.
- 34:34Speaker 9: Tony, how you doing, yeah, Mark, Mark, I agree with
- 34:37Speaker 9: you what you said about hashcheck with the war and
- 34:39Speaker 9: they were brilliant, but they under estimated them, like these
- 34:44Speaker 9: people are not normal. These people are religious fanatics. They'll
- 34:47Speaker 9: put a hand garinade in their mouth to blow you up.
- 34:49Speaker 9: They're not afraid to die. We don't want to die.
- 34:52Speaker 9: It's an honor for them to die.
- 34:54Speaker 1: No, I understand, I understand. You'll never ever, it's a
- 34:56Speaker 1: battle of wheels and you can never break the will
- 34:59Speaker 1: of a lunatic. But if that's the case, that's all
- 35:01Speaker 1: the more reason to keep going. At least take away
- 35:03Speaker 1: every last weapon they have, get every drone missile, get
- 35:07Speaker 1: destroy every weapon they have, and then eventually going there
- 35:11Speaker 1: and just get all the nuclear material. At least take
- 35:13Speaker 1: that away from them. That's that's the main goal. Just
- 35:17Speaker 1: totally neuter them weapons wise. Hey, don't forget coming up
- 35:22Speaker 1: at noon, Buck Sexton, Klay, Travis, excellent show. And if
- 35:26Speaker 1: you don't know it's anybody that doesn't know. Curtis Lee,
- 35:28Speaker 1: what is back? He's here every morning on the morning show.
- 35:32Speaker 1: It's Curtis Lee what Larry MENTI every morning on seven
- 35:35Speaker 1: to ten WR.
