- 2:11Speaker 3: little bit of reflecting on season eight in the history
- 2:14Speaker 3: of the show.
- 2:14Speaker 1: We've got our annual.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Christmas season gift exchange, and then we've got our PhD duel.
- 2:22Speaker 3: We're finding out who is the doctor up in this bitch.
- 2:25Speaker 1: So I was.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Explaining to somebody this whole doctor a bit and they
- 2:28Speaker 3: were like, yeah, okay, so like he gets to say
- 2:31Speaker 3: he's the doctor on the Show's like no, our website reflects.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It, like this is where knowledge, this is presented with
- 2:39Speaker 1: all accuracy. Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah, he has held it now for what two years?
- 2:43Speaker 3: I think you've helped yes, god damn, oh yes, I
- 2:46Speaker 3: want it and then defended it.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right.
- 2:48Speaker 3: You defended the title, and I think you had it
- 2:49Speaker 3: for most of twenty twenty three.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I think I've been a doctor for a while.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I've been a doctor longer.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Now than I remember not being a doctor's probably been
- 2:57Speaker 2: a doctor longer than Jim. If he holds on it'd
- 3:01Speaker 2: be really funny if he held it that long.
- 3:04Speaker 1: How long how long were you a doctor? You know
- 3:06Speaker 1: before you took it.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I mean I think I got it in like twenty eighteen,
- 3:11Speaker 3: twenty seventeen, oh, twenty seventeen.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we're far, We're not far, We're not.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It's not an impossibility that you could pull this off.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and before you took it three here, Yeah, yeah,
- 3:22Speaker 2: you need to be a little worried about it.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Over here, buddy, I don't tell you at some point
- 3:26Speaker 3: there's common law doctordom. Yeah, he's cohabitated with it long
- 3:31Speaker 3: enough that it's his.
- 3:32Speaker 2: How long does he get to have it before he
- 3:34Speaker 2: inherits the student loan debt? Oh man, take that now,
- 3:37Speaker 2: God Jesus Christ, Trump's fucking me real good on that.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want that. You don't want that. Hell, So,
- 3:44Speaker 3: welcome to our Christmas party. Welcome to the fun. It's
- 3:47Speaker 3: going to be a laid back episode, just enjoying ourselves
- 3:50Speaker 3: and reflecting on this project and all the wonderful people
- 3:54Speaker 3: who make it possible. So I put it out into
- 3:56Speaker 3: the discord and I said, hey, you know, everybody, give
- 3:59Speaker 3: us some of your favorite season eight memories. Our season's
- 4:02Speaker 3: uh perfectly aligned with the twelve month calendar.
- 4:05Speaker 4: It's amazing.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 4:06Speaker 4: It's weird how that we started January sixth or some January.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Wow, January sixth, you think we started on an insurrection day?
- 4:12Speaker 1: We did. We did it first, We did it before
- 4:20Speaker 1: it was cool.
- 4:20Speaker 2: We stormed the capitol on episode one. That's what we'll
- 4:24Speaker 2: call the early episodes. J six PT.
- 4:29Speaker 1: We always have, we always will.
- 4:31Speaker 2: We won't change it just because people call Jay six
- 4:34Speaker 2: something else.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Now if they ever open a pod therapy wiki, I
- 4:37Speaker 3: hope somebody edits that ship. And the show was started
- 4:41Speaker 3: on January sixth as an early insurrectionist against then President Obama,
- 4:51Speaker 3: all these posers, these Johnny come Lately insurrectionists. You know,
- 4:54Speaker 3: we were there before it was cool. There's a two
- 4:57Speaker 3: man bands storm in the capitol.
- 4:58Speaker 4: This is a normal day.
- 5:00Speaker 3: We started January second, twenty eighteen, and we had done
- 5:04Speaker 3: some early promos of the show in twenty seventeen. Is
- 5:07Speaker 3: like some warm up recordings, Yeah, which we destroyed, right, those.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Are gone, I believe so.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yes, I thought you tried to sell one. Somebody buy
- 5:14Speaker 3: one episode?
- 5:15Speaker 1: Ben bought episode thirteen.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Oh, the one that we got rid of. We've gotten
- 5:18Speaker 3: rid of several. No, that's the only one we've gotten
- 5:21Speaker 3: rid of the only one that we had a pilot.
- 5:23Speaker 2: That's right, the pilot, the pilot in the crash. No,
- 5:30Speaker 2: that's why I doesn't want to go anywhere anymore.
- 5:32Speaker 3: The pilot is is dead. Only Laura ever heard the pilot,
- 5:36Speaker 3: and she gave us some notes.
- 5:37Speaker 1: She gave us early. It was one show. It was
- 5:40Speaker 1: don't do the podcast.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like done.
- 5:42Speaker 1: She said, don't let anybody hear this. That's right, that's right.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I did say that.
- 5:47Speaker 4: What do you think was the worst part about that? Like?
- 5:50Speaker 3: What if I remember correctly, I think we shamed mothers.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I remember there was something other population.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't remember.
- 5:57Speaker 3: There was like mothers who had used marijuana, and we
- 6:00Speaker 3: both got very like brow.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:04Speaker 5: It was probably you. I believe women fingers that. Jim
- 6:09Speaker 5: is sure it was women. Jim believes women should be
- 6:13Speaker 5: allowed to raise children.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Our vote.
- 6:18Speaker 3: So we got some feedback on favorite moments from twenty
- 6:22Speaker 3: twenty five. There it is the feedback some of the
- 6:26Speaker 3: favorite memories Nick's New House Love.
- 6:29Speaker 1: When Jim explains what I do right after I do it, because.
- 6:32Speaker 3: There's somebody that doesn't get it. I'm giving the subtitle
- 6:35Speaker 3: or what is the subtext, subtitles, I'm giving it to.
- 6:38Speaker 2: People, subtitles audio show. He can't help, but man's plain,
- 6:45Speaker 2: tell me what it is.
- 6:47Speaker 1: People understand. You never did this before Whitney came on
- 6:49Speaker 1: the shop.
- 6:50Speaker 4: That's what makes sense. This makes lot because.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I never had to you guys, got it?
- 6:57Speaker 4: Oh my god, I never had to.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Jesus man.
- 7:02Speaker 2: When she got in here, everything slowed down. What's that
- 7:05Speaker 2: what does that work. It's a microphone, Whitney, just Jesus
- 7:08Speaker 2: speak into it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It's fine. It's like a robot.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Penis Nick's new house one of people's favorite memories from
- 7:14Speaker 3: last week.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah, one of their favorite and current memories.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Nate Nate Walk wrote in he said Nick's new house
- 7:22Speaker 3: and specifically Nick paying somebody not to paint his new house.
- 7:26Speaker 1: You know what I stand by that.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I sat with that one for a while.
- 7:31Speaker 1: It's just the second payment, just the payment of the
- 7:34Speaker 1: post deposit payment. I want your wrestle Bundy back from people.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It's just your second payment that I'm like, why, why
- 7:40Speaker 1: give them the extra money.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So after we had recorded that follow up, Yeah, Laura
- 7:48Speaker 2: agrees with you that I should not have I am shot.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Am you didn't pay them? It's for the second day.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I was like, well, yeah, I would have lied.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Let me tell you something, budd, you're about to get married.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Let me get a little tip.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Live fucking all the time.
- 8:04Speaker 3: If my wife was like, oh did you pay those guys?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Like, oh no, no, no, I'll never know unless you
- 8:09Speaker 2: think I should.
- 8:10Speaker 3: But I paid from my secret horror PayPal account that
- 8:13Speaker 3: I used specifically for brothels. So I did push the
- 8:16Speaker 3: envelope that I put. I know, and I need to
- 8:19Speaker 3: stop using emojis when I pay people. Then the sign.
- 8:27Speaker 1: The little squirt right before you pay extra for that.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I like to indicate the menu items that I've purchased. No,
- 8:35Speaker 2: I really pushed the I pushed the boundary this past
- 8:37Speaker 2: week with.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Laura Little story.
- 8:40Speaker 6: Yeah, let's heart, Yeah, pitch wax, Yeah, a car battery.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I wouldn't say Laura is.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I wouldn't describe her really as a feminist, but she's
- 8:57Speaker 2: definitely like women can do this too, and men's sock.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And blah blah blah.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Her to climb the ladder and say, so, okay, So
- 9:03Speaker 2: anyway we're talking about there's some uh, some drains at
- 9:08Speaker 2: the new place. We're going to have to clean out
- 9:10Speaker 2: a little bit. They don't run very well. But then
- 9:12Speaker 2: she clean yes, yes, thank you withney you know what
- 9:16Speaker 2: you clean the pipes, Laura, that's a problem. So she was,
- 9:28Speaker 2: that's why they get paid. So that's a house painting.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And she's calling me because she's at the house that
- 9:32Speaker 2: we live in and she's trying to snake the drain. Yes,
- 9:37Speaker 2: and so she's like she's telling explaining to me, is like,
- 9:40Speaker 2: so what are you doing?
- 9:41Speaker 1: What are you trying to do?
- 9:42Speaker 2: And she's telling me and she's like, well, going this way?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Is like, well, why are you doing that? She's like, well,
- 9:47Speaker 2: I watched this video this woman and this is what
- 9:50Speaker 2: she said. You have to go in this way and
- 9:52Speaker 2: send this snake down that way. Blah blah blah. I
- 9:55Speaker 2: was like, oh, I said, well you need to watch
- 9:57Speaker 2: a video of a man doing it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 10:02Speaker 6: Nick?
- 10:05Speaker 1: This is over the phone, give your arms reach. I
- 10:11Speaker 1: was safe distance away, which I mean as a joke.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm not being seriously.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not even your real name, and I.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Made it that. I love it. Nicholas Weather is my
- 10:27Speaker 1: middle name. Actually.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So now I've got two pieces of advice for you.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Lie about the money thing, don't say that.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Don't ever do that other thing again.
- 10:34Speaker 2: It should be funny until she signs the paper. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 2: I know, come on. She did laugh later about it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: That's good. She worked today and you.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Told her you're gonna recount that story of the show. Yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 2: we can edit that out.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Don't worry about it. She doesn't listen.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's also another good advice. Just spells ship never.
- 10:58Speaker 1: This is the very beginning of this show. Nothing going on.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Nothing suspicious happening at all, Laura, welcome, you're listening all right.
- 11:08Speaker 3: One of the memories Winter Scoop favorited the hot supple
- 11:12Speaker 3: nineteen year old who could have belonged to any of us?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Who knows whose.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Hot supple nineteen year old? That was I want somebody
- 11:19Speaker 3: to she is a hot supple nineteen year old.
- 11:22Speaker 1: How did this happen? I don't remember the question that
- 11:25Speaker 1: led I'll tell you I don't. I don't either.
- 11:27Speaker 4: It's because I was out, I know. That's why I
- 11:31Speaker 4: don't remember this.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I don't remember what led to this.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I remember that Jim took a turn with his description
- 11:38Speaker 2: of it and started talking about a hot supple nineteen
- 11:40Speaker 2: year old, and Nick and I were both very surprised
- 11:43Speaker 2: that Joe was talking about this at all.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Jacob made eye contact and got very quiet.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, we were all like, what the fuck is he doing?
- 11:51Speaker 3: I've noticed you guys do this now Like I'll be
- 11:53Speaker 3: a mid answer, and then suddenly I'll notice the two
- 11:56Speaker 3: of you will like lock eyes and like pull your
- 11:59Speaker 3: microphones away away from your hand, like and then I'll
- 12:01Speaker 3: see Jacob like lean over at the computer like he's
- 12:04Speaker 3: tapping like a.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Like wait a minute, in my mouth? Damn it?
- 12:11Speaker 2: There are so many gim drops. Well, what the crazy
- 12:13Speaker 2: thing is that you don't learn from any of them?
- 12:15Speaker 2: Like I would think after the ten inches in my
- 12:17Speaker 2: mouth thing, I probably stop.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Can we get a drop of that? Can we get
- 12:20Speaker 1: because I'm a bad boy? Damn it?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Where's the other one?
- 12:23Speaker 3: I remember at scoop Fest though, like ten people had
- 12:26Speaker 3: clipped the hot supple nineteen year old thing.
- 12:28Speaker 1: We're like running to.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Jacob like, hey, I've got this for you. Yeah, Jacob's like,
- 12:31Speaker 3: I am a professional.
- 12:34Speaker 4: I am here.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You have that? Because I have that? What are you
- 12:37Speaker 1: talking about? Winter?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Scoop also not often tell people when they when they
- 12:41Speaker 2: send me like, hey, what what's you know?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Can we get a drop of that? I'll be like
- 12:46Speaker 1: you can? Could you please send me the time that
- 12:49Speaker 1: was said? I will make it get so much quicker
- 12:51Speaker 1: for me to find it if you just said time
- 12:53Speaker 1: as well?
- 12:53Speaker 3: Is there there's no other way to do that, right?
- 12:56Speaker 3: I mean you'd have to listen to the whole thing.
- 12:57Speaker 3: You could pump it into like a train inscription thing.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I guess sure that I could ask there's a eyes
- 13:04Speaker 3: that can do it.
- 13:05Speaker 1: That's what I asked.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Oh you mean our Yeah, we have a website that
- 13:08Speaker 3: the patron's built. God who did it. I think it
- 13:10Speaker 3: was sunny Boy. Sunny Boy built an entire website. I
- 13:13Speaker 3: think it's called Jim's House of Cards. And it might
- 13:16Speaker 3: be dot com or dot net, who knows. And apparently
- 13:19Speaker 3: it has every episode of our show pumped through it
- 13:22Speaker 3: with a transcript so that you can search every episode
- 13:25Speaker 3: of the show. And then you have to know the
- 13:26Speaker 3: special Patreon password to get into the Patreon section to
- 13:30Speaker 3: search all the Patreon episodes.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It's the password, sup it should it is?
- 13:36Speaker 3: It is definitely a gym saying and now you can
- 13:39Speaker 3: just keep typing in sayings until you get it right.
- 13:41Speaker 3: But it's more old school gym. It's like, you know,
- 13:43Speaker 3: seasons one through four, probably not.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, before I.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Really changed my tune after that, I used to say,
- 13:54Speaker 2: a lot of ship really cleaned up for us, all
- 13:58Speaker 2: those guys get arrested.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I cooled it. Yours has been in me.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Damn it. I forgot about that one.
- 14:04Speaker 4: How do about that one?
- 14:05Speaker 3: I do remember somebody had written in a question about
- 14:08Speaker 3: like getting the step child to listen to her or
- 14:10Speaker 3: something like that, and I was speaking as the writer
- 14:14Speaker 3: and said something about you don't have to listen to
- 14:16Speaker 3: me because of that phrase. See, now I'm scared to
- 14:18Speaker 3: say things because if yes, that one, you guys have
- 14:23Speaker 3: made me so. I noticed that I like tiptoe over
- 14:26Speaker 3: certain words when I'm teaching now because you guys have
- 14:29Speaker 3: shamed me.
- 14:30Speaker 4: This is a lesson.
- 14:32Speaker 2: If this podcast has kept you from saying that exact thing,
- 14:39Speaker 2: then we're doing.
- 14:40Speaker 1: The Lord's work. The words out your mouth?
- 14:46Speaker 3: Okay, well there's just out your mouth, Joe. So uh
- 14:52Speaker 3: frequent freak frequent. You guys have shamed me on that one.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah, two different ways, which on which one was when
- 14:59Speaker 2: I never remember I say frequent and then but then
- 15:02Speaker 2: the kids stare at me, and then I get weird
- 15:04Speaker 2: about it because I remember, you guys have gotten me
- 15:06Speaker 2: to change that one frequent is that is that it frequent?
- 15:11Speaker 3: The other one is the accent on a q Q
- 15:15Speaker 3: attribute is the other one or something or attribute?
- 15:18Speaker 1: Yes? Because you were a kid? Are you flipping them around? See?
- 15:22Speaker 1: If that's the problem.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I know that there are words I say wrong, but
- 15:24Speaker 3: I don't remember what the right way to say them is.
- 15:26Speaker 1: You just said both of you just said our words.
- 15:28Speaker 1: One is a now and one is a verb. Okay,
- 15:30Speaker 1: so an attribute is something you have. Yeah, but you
- 15:33Speaker 1: can attribute something to a person which is a verb. Yes, right, yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 1: which is what I said.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yeah, because saying something is a verb.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I said it. Yeah. Also, schoolhalls rock taught me most
- 15:45Speaker 1: of what I know.
- 15:45Speaker 6: This.
- 15:46Speaker 4: We got some good teachers. Educator.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. Not let me tell you.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Jim's failed forty by forty list featured prominently. Many people
- 15:57Speaker 3: know did it? This was a year of the failed forty.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Someone to do a pole? It was a lot of pole.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I want more of a tick sheet.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I just want a count of people who expected you
- 16:13Speaker 2: to do more than say five?
- 16:16Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, how many? Well we should have gotten Mitzi
- 16:19Speaker 3: to do odds on this thing. Is what we should
- 16:20Speaker 3: have done?
- 16:21Speaker 1: Is then?
- 16:21Speaker 2: God? People lost?
- 16:23Speaker 4: I thought you would have done.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I thought you who would put money on the other side,
- 16:27Speaker 2: It's got to be a million to one, all right,
- 16:29Speaker 2: I will say.
- 16:30Speaker 3: In the beginning of the forty by forty I felt
- 16:32Speaker 3: very supported, un ironically by Whitney. She made a calendar.
- 16:37Speaker 3: She brought it to scoop fest she believed her little heart.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Did he complete? That's not true? God damn it. There's
- 16:46Speaker 1: more than two.
- 16:46Speaker 3: How many, it's at least three.
- 16:48Speaker 1: No, let's say three. What are they?
- 16:51Speaker 4: I can tell I can take on.
- 16:52Speaker 3: An apprentice therapist, swim with dolphins. Fucking damn it. The
- 16:58Speaker 3: proximity is very subjective. No, that's a thing.
- 17:02Speaker 1: You made the list, Jim. You don't get the cheat
- 17:04Speaker 1: on it.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Jim was the third one because I know.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Help me, you know, I know it. I had a strawberry,
- 17:09Speaker 3: that I a plant. We figured out that my plant
- 17:13Speaker 3: has rosemary, and that I've inhaled that.
- 17:15Speaker 4: No, that's not a fruit.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And there was other things.
- 17:18Speaker 4: There's one other one. I have it in my head.
- 17:19Speaker 4: I know it right now, and you don't know it.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Skydiving.
- 17:22Speaker 4: No, I didn't do that.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Memorize the ship, dude.
- 17:29Speaker 1: There were several things. Second, did something recently? Didn't? Yes,
- 17:33Speaker 1: you did? You did? Didn't?
- 17:34Speaker 3: I traveled, I traveled traveled at So there's a third one.
- 17:43Speaker 2: There's so I just want to I want someone I
- 17:47Speaker 2: don't need I don't need an accounting of this.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I don't need anything. I need someone to just run
- 17:52Speaker 1: a poll and tell me a number. And I want
- 17:55Speaker 1: to know a number of people that thought when Jim
- 17:58Speaker 1: announced this list he was going to get five or
- 18:01Speaker 1: more completed.
- 18:02Speaker 4: I would have been on that list.
- 18:04Speaker 2: I'm just going we have about twenty five listeners because
- 18:06Speaker 2: I guess you're out.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Could have been like, shave his face and eat Indian food.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I was, I don't want to shave my face until
- 18:13Speaker 3: I'm like one hundred and seventy because all the weight.
- 18:18Speaker 3: By then, I thought I had a whole fucking year.
- 18:21Speaker 3: One of my goals was the hit, the one, the
- 18:23Speaker 3: one eighty bm I or whatever, and I was like,
- 18:25Speaker 3: oh I do that.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I'm and save my face.
- 18:26Speaker 4: This is a woman's perspective right now. Okay, I don't
- 18:29Speaker 4: understand what the fucking problem is why men can't either
- 18:32Speaker 4: shave their hat or shave their face. It goes back
- 18:34Speaker 4: in like three days.
- 18:35Speaker 1: That's not true.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Why is this hard? Women get fucking haircuts where they
- 18:38Speaker 4: cut six inches off and we're like, oh, that was
- 18:40Speaker 4: too short, We'll just have to go out, you know,
- 18:42Speaker 4: Like I don't want to. I don't want to shave
- 18:44Speaker 4: my face because it'll take me three whole days to
- 18:46Speaker 4: grow back my face hair.
- 18:48Speaker 3: My god, I tried to grow on my stat for
- 18:50Speaker 3: thirty five fucking years.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Well you should gym the mustach I'm working on lost
- 18:55Speaker 2: to cut tattoo concealed by theth that beer.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I've seen that TikTok.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Less than a perfect scenario of him being in a five.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody, so hold on, Nick can grow a beard
- 19:13Speaker 3: in three days.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'll grow one right now. Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 3: That most of us, I think have to go through
- 19:22Speaker 3: like a bad beard stage. You don't have a bad
- 19:25Speaker 3: beard stage because yours grows in with the stubble. It's
- 19:28Speaker 3: so nice, Like as soon as you do that, I
- 19:30Speaker 3: love my favorite. By the way, I want to bring
- 19:32Speaker 3: my attention to your facial here for a second. I
- 19:34Speaker 3: love all of it. I love it when you're shaved.
- 19:36Speaker 3: I love it when you have the full beard. I
- 19:38Speaker 3: love it when you have the full beard. I like
- 19:40Speaker 3: it when you have the full beard and then you
- 19:41Speaker 3: trim it in a shape like that looks really good.
- 19:43Speaker 1: But you rock the stubble very well. Stubble is my game,
- 19:47Speaker 1: that dude.
- 19:48Speaker 3: When you do stubble, but stubble's hard to maintain, it
- 19:51Speaker 3: is because that's really just an in between stage.
- 19:52Speaker 1: You don't get to just live it the.
- 19:56Speaker 6: God.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You're welcome, ladies.
- 20:00Speaker 3: It's the Christmas party and Jim has whiskey. We're talking
- 20:03Speaker 3: about how much I sexually think about.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 20:08Speaker 2: This stubble is the thing like if it gets too long,
- 20:11Speaker 2: then it starts getting patchy in spots, okay, and then
- 20:13Speaker 2: it's got.
- 20:14Speaker 3: To get right. When he doesn't understand the ship. She's
- 20:17Speaker 3: never grown a beard.
- 20:18Speaker 4: It takes three days to fix it. Your for one second,
- 20:21Speaker 4: to shave it.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Your privilege. It's absolutely why.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Shaving it?
- 20:32Speaker 2: I'm on team shaven. Okay, you are severely on You're
- 20:37Speaker 2: on team shaved the mustache. She've never been on team
- 20:39Speaker 2: shaved my beard. Your kids have never seen you clean shaved.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Here's the next thing.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I haven't had a clean shaven face since two thousand
- 20:47Speaker 3: and three. Doesn't win back, he loses his facial head.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Can you imagine we're gonna shave it the Patreon level.
- 20:58Speaker 3: We're gonna shave it to get me to do it
- 20:59Speaker 3: patre we'd have to cure one who thinks that this
- 21:02Speaker 3: isn't happening. We'd have to like sponsor at my house. Yes,
- 21:09Speaker 3: there's no exit. I could actually get to that. She
- 21:13Speaker 3: is literally the only one in this roe who doesn't
- 21:15Speaker 3: think this is actually gonna happen.
- 21:18Speaker 4: By the time.
- 21:19Speaker 1: It's weird that you just lock the door. You'll be
- 21:21Speaker 1: able to swim so fast.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Okay, with so many activities, it's weird how you locked
- 21:26Speaker 3: the door with that button under your desk.
- 21:28Speaker 1: That's really don't worry about my fan, huh I like that?
- 21:33Speaker 3: Uh oh so not Curan Nightly on our on our discord,
- 21:37Speaker 3: Who's been lovely. She's become a therape producer.
- 21:40Speaker 1: She is so much fun.
- 21:41Speaker 3: My favorite thing about her is that she is going
- 21:43Speaker 3: through systematically and listening to the Patreon version of every episode.
- 21:48Speaker 3: So she had already gone through and listened to every
- 21:50Speaker 3: episode of the show, then became a patron, and then
- 21:53Speaker 3: went back and started listening to the Patreon version of
- 21:55Speaker 3: every single episode and is commenting on it. You know
- 21:58Speaker 3: how we have like a thread for every single episode
- 22:00Speaker 3: in our episode spin inside the discord. All of a sudden,
- 22:02Speaker 3: I'll get a comment on like episode three point fifty
- 22:05Speaker 3: or some bullshit, and she'll be like, She'll just chime
- 22:07Speaker 3: in with her two cents and Jill tag us and
- 22:09Speaker 3: we'll be like, hey, thanks for digging this back up.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Thanks for reminding me.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Not.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Kia Knightley says, my favorite moment was Jim finding out
- 22:16Speaker 3: about Nick's engagement after Whitney.
- 22:21Speaker 1: And being totally okay with it.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I'm still very happy about that. Oh my god, I'm
- 22:28Speaker 2: still fucking pissed about that.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Fucking upset.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I'm still genuinely fucking said Jim picked up a drake
- 22:35Speaker 2: and had to take a zip and had.
- 22:36Speaker 3: To take a sip with wy God, I'm still upsetic
- 22:40Speaker 3: about that. I'm still do you guys haven't set.
- 22:42Speaker 1: A wedding yet, did you? I don't know what Jesus
- 22:45Speaker 1: dud Wait wait, you guys are getting married again? If
- 22:47Speaker 1: you do this? Oh fuck you? Fuck you what?
- 22:54Speaker 2: This isn't a visual show. They have no idea what
- 22:56Speaker 2: you're for people who can't see it. There was a
- 22:59Speaker 2: penis that.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Very clear.
- 23:03Speaker 1: They're just sitting around this.
- 23:06Speaker 4: But they didn't.
- 23:07Speaker 1: They didn't have to know narration. Oh that's right. I
- 23:10Speaker 1: like to give people the subcontext. Your parents.
- 23:14Speaker 3: You did it at Green Valley Ranch, right, yes, okay,
- 23:17Speaker 3: some reason I thought you did it in Paris. I
- 23:20Speaker 3: suddenly remembered You've been to Paris a bunch of times,
- 23:22Speaker 3: but none of those were to propose correct, Yeah, cheaper
- 23:25Speaker 3: to do it at the Green Valley Ranch.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I really thought you were going to propose in Paris.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Was shot.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I know, yeah, that's just what people were expecting me
- 23:32Speaker 2: to do.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I thought, okay, when you didn't do it in Paris,
- 23:38Speaker 3: I kind of assumed, okay, so then it's never that's
- 23:40Speaker 3: just a decision, like they've decided that will just never happen.
- 23:43Speaker 3: That's the choice, because yeah, if you didn't do it,
- 23:45Speaker 3: life is beautiful or Paris.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I mean, that's gotta be what Laura thought.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Okay, but what about this?
- 23:50Speaker 1: I was really threw her off the see. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I was in the long game.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I was in Arkansas last weekend. I was visiting my
- 23:58Speaker 4: best friend since we were ten years old.
- 23:59Speaker 3: There is nobody in my life I like enough that
- 24:01Speaker 3: I would go to Arkansas.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 24:03Speaker 4: It's hard to get to but they.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Will go there to visit a ten year old You
- 24:12Speaker 1: mean the island.
- 24:13Speaker 2: She goes to the island of Okayden.
- 24:19Speaker 4: She got engaged in November, and her fiance had also
- 24:24Speaker 4: messaged me first before he told her, what about you?
- 24:30Speaker 4: That people just screams about your engagement, about your engagement
- 24:35Speaker 4: and they tell me, yeah, So he calls me.
- 24:37Speaker 2: He's like planning they wanted to swing.
- 24:41Speaker 1: It could be that too.
- 24:42Speaker 4: He didn't ask me about that. You call me about that.
- 24:45Speaker 3: The way to get Whitney to swing with you is
- 24:46Speaker 3: to let her know I'm going to engage somebody soon.
- 24:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And then I say, can you watch my dogs.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Long enough to cut me off? If they don't, I'm sorry.
- 24:59Speaker 3: I could send you the registry, or I could send
- 25:01Speaker 3: me to the hotel room.
- 25:03Speaker 4: So this is hilarious because they were on their way.
- 25:06Speaker 4: They were going on a trip to Mexico and all inclusive.
- 25:09Speaker 4: They hadn't really traveled all the country together till now.
- 25:12Speaker 4: So I'm like, all right, I know he has the ring.
- 25:15Speaker 4: He's told me he's picked it out. I helped him
- 25:16Speaker 4: pick it out. Great. Then my vestie sends me a
- 25:20Speaker 4: little video. She's like, oh my god, guys, look she's engaged.
- 25:23Speaker 4: I'm like watching, all excited. She's like, I was in
- 25:27Speaker 4: the hotel room in Dallas. He works out of state,
- 25:30Speaker 4: so he flew into Dallas. She flew from Arkansas to Dallas.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Then they flew together to Mexico, and I thought he
- 25:36Speaker 4: was gonna like, do you know a beachside dinner like
- 25:40Speaker 4: sunset and proposed there. I'm like, fuck, yeah, this is
- 25:44Speaker 4: gonna be awesome. I get a message from her. I'm like,
- 25:46Speaker 4: this is too early for her to be telling me
- 25:48Speaker 4: she's engaged, but I'm listening. She sends me this video.
- 25:50Speaker 4: She's like, I was in the bathroom at the hotel,
- 25:53Speaker 4: like washing my face, and then I turned around and
- 25:56Speaker 4: he's in the doorway.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So I was like, what, you dumb ass?
- 26:00Speaker 2: No, what the fuck he missed it? You do is
- 26:03Speaker 2: here's what you do. You wait until she's got to
- 26:06Speaker 2: go number two toilet paper. Yeah, and then when she's like,
- 26:10Speaker 2: oh my god, I need toilet paper, then you put
- 26:13Speaker 2: the ring inside the.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I've seen that Hallmark movie, dude, I've seen it.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Oh it's so good.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Thought about this good the one time a solitaire is
- 26:26Speaker 2: worth a deuce.
- 26:29Speaker 4: So his response was why didn't want to be cliche
- 26:32Speaker 4: and propos of Mexican.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Like, dumb idiot, you dumb idiot.
- 26:39Speaker 4: A mile away.
- 26:42Speaker 2: It's not like it's not going to Mexico, moron.
- 26:44Speaker 4: You can see the mile away. You're proposing Mexico and.
- 26:47Speaker 2: The stupid moron, Alright, do that let's do a p
- 26:50Speaker 2: s A for the idiot men out there.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Men.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Cliches exist because women like them. That's why they're still around.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Turn on the Hallmark channel anytime.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Thank you. This is gentlemen.
- 27:01Speaker 4: I'm here for it.
- 27:02Speaker 1: It's time to fix this.
- 27:04Speaker 3: If you're about to propose to your girl and you're like,
- 27:07Speaker 3: I don't want to do something, or you know what,
- 27:09Speaker 3: thank you Whitney.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It's twenty twenty five.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Whoever you're about to propose to, if you're like, you
- 27:14Speaker 3: know what, I don't want this to be typical. I
- 27:16Speaker 3: don't want this to be a stereotype. I don't want
- 27:18Speaker 3: this to be cliche. First off, stop stop right there,
- 27:25Speaker 3: stop right there. If you're taking your girl to Mexico
- 27:29Speaker 3: to be.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Cliche, be cliche, that's the same cliche.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Propose do it the way women want you to propose.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Romantic add in olive garden.
- 27:39Speaker 4: I'll take it after the.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Third basket of breadsticks, not before nice glass.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Wait, three bread of mascotta.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yes, that's how you want your woman. You bloated to
- 27:51Speaker 3: run away.
- 27:51Speaker 2: One other message for you, okay, another thing to consider it, okay.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Toilet proposal, toilet proposal.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Toilet post pay me the picture, whatever picture you have,
- 28:08Speaker 1: that's it. No notes.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Around her.
- 28:22Speaker 1: She can't. She's trap the crapper, the only exit.
- 28:33Speaker 4: At least didn't do that.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Yeah, so wow, So she said yes. Thought she said
- 28:38Speaker 3: yes with this bathroom proposal.
- 28:39Speaker 4: And now she says, every time I wash my face,
- 28:41Speaker 4: I think about that proposal.
- 28:43Speaker 2: God bless God, blessed this morning, happy, God bless them,
- 28:49Speaker 2: God bless her. That's a sweet girl. He doesn't deserve her.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you that, right. She is way out
- 28:57Speaker 2: of his way. We're all gonna sucking current. I'll bet
- 29:02Speaker 2: I can steal that girl tonight. Yeah yeah, I'll bet
- 29:04Speaker 2: I don't even have to do the Mexico trip. I'll
- 29:05Speaker 2: just bring you some tacos just honestly.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I bet I just have to give a little bit
- 29:10Speaker 1: of it, just a little bit of daddy style love.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's that's a whole lane. You could take
- 29:19Speaker 3: that lane, buddy, that's a.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Great the sofa.
- 29:22Speaker 3: I wish this was a video show. I don't want
- 29:25Speaker 3: any of us on the camera except Whitney. I want
- 29:27Speaker 3: I just want people to watch Whitney react to all
- 29:30Speaker 3: the ship that goes on on this podcast. That's the
- 29:33Speaker 3: whole Instagram feed like that's it.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Yeah, so yeah, congratulations on your engagement. Everybody was very
- 29:42Speaker 3: excited for you.
- 29:43Speaker 1: And I'm still.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I have something to recount, Okay, I would like to recount.
- 29:52Speaker 1: It's just a recount recounting. Yeah, I have a therapy
- 29:57Speaker 1: memory that doesn't that you guys aren't in it yet.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you about it now that we'll be
- 30:03Speaker 1: a part of it. I like how this was. I was.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I went down south this last week. We took a
- 30:07Speaker 3: little vacation down and saw family, okay, and I was
- 30:10Speaker 3: chatting with.
- 30:12Speaker 2: We didn't make it the ar go to Arkansas. We
- 30:14Speaker 2: did not go to Arkansas. We went to Texas, Louisiana,
- 30:19Speaker 2: and Mississippi.
- 30:22Speaker 4: There we go days. You might as well.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we crossed three states and four days, four nights,
- 30:29Speaker 1: four nights, wow, five days okay.
- 30:33Speaker 3: But yeah, So I we were down there, I saw
- 30:36Speaker 3: my parents and h I'm chatting with my dad and
- 30:39Speaker 3: he says, well, what do you have to do to
- 30:41Speaker 3: get ready to come down, because you know, we always
- 30:42Speaker 3: have to kind of like preload stuff and preload shows
- 30:45Speaker 3: and everything.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I said, oh, you know, for this, because it's so quick,
- 30:48Speaker 2: we just had to do. We had to pre record
- 30:50Speaker 2: two ice cream socials and we had to record just
- 30:52Speaker 2: a single pod therapy.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I'll be back before we do another pod therapy. What's
- 30:58Speaker 1: that second one? Oh? Yeah, so pod therapy. It's a
- 31:04Speaker 1: therapy show, mental mental health care therapy show. Three therapists
- 31:09Speaker 1: and me, we do it.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I love hearing him describe the show and me, but
- 31:16Speaker 2: I was like, the people he knows that are like, what,
- 31:20Speaker 2: so what is your role?
- 31:23Speaker 1: But you have to remember at this point, I think
- 31:26Speaker 1: I'm just reminding my dad what the show is. Yeah,
- 31:31Speaker 1: so he'll go, oh that one, yes, And then I
- 31:34Speaker 1: realized that I've never mentioned pods. Well that's that's when
- 31:40Speaker 1: I realized it.
- 31:42Speaker 2: He goes, how are you even doing that one?
- 31:47Speaker 1: I laughed.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I was like, oh, several years, it's the one I
- 31:53Speaker 2: don't talk about.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Well, you know what, there's hippa hippo.
- 32:00Speaker 2: He's in total fairness, My dad doesn't listen to any
- 32:04Speaker 2: other show that I'm on, so it's not as though
- 32:07Speaker 2: he's like just not listening to this one and listening
- 32:09Speaker 2: to all of my other contexts. So no, no, my
- 32:12Speaker 2: mom is probably listening to this show right now. Hi mom, Mom,
- 32:15Speaker 2: listens to therapy. I think Mom listens to everything that
- 32:18Speaker 2: I do. That's a good that's a that I'm on.
- 32:22Speaker 3: If I guessed on a show she finds out about it,
- 32:24Speaker 3: I bet she'll listen to that show.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's sweet. Yeah, it's very sweet.
- 32:28Speaker 3: That's how I would be too, like if my kids
- 32:30Speaker 3: are on the ship. My mom was our biggest fan
- 32:33Speaker 3: for a very long so she met us.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Mom used to come on the show like annually show. Yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 3: and Jacob and Nick took hern sleeping with her, which
- 32:43Speaker 3: started to fracture the friendship. So that's why she kept
- 32:47Speaker 3: showing And she just kept showing up because of that.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well proximity wise, because you guys are doing the
- 32:54Speaker 2: weird Eiffel Tower ship to my mom.
- 32:56Speaker 1: But I didn't appreciate.
- 32:57Speaker 2: I don't know what's weird about it. I thought we
- 32:59Speaker 2: weren't get to I thought we were doing a perfectly
- 33:01Speaker 2: normal life. Will say you know what they say when
- 33:06Speaker 2: and row.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Jim's mom, this show is off.
- 33:14Speaker 2: The the show is raw two Dixon one.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Christ My mom was the biggest fan of our show
- 33:22Speaker 3: for the longest time. Yeah, you know, she got a
- 33:25Speaker 3: she got she got promoted at work. Or something, and
- 33:28Speaker 3: she was like traveling and then like she stopped listening
- 33:31Speaker 3: to it. She was like always on the phone or whatever. So, yeah, I'm.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Gonna see her soon.
- 33:34Speaker 3: She's gonna come in for Christmas, so I'll get to see.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Momo come Tracy, Jesus Christ.
- 33:40Speaker 3: She'll be in town when we next record too.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Is she coming?
- 33:43Speaker 3: She asked if she could be in the last twice
- 33:46Speaker 3: the show. Well, I know, that's why I tell her
- 33:48Speaker 3: she can't come over. I'm like, we're not it's a
- 33:49Speaker 3: Jacob's house because I know where it is.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like, yeah, how should I leave before you
- 33:55Speaker 2: get this?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Mom?
- 33:56Speaker 2: What are you talking about? No, We're gonna Jacob's home
- 33:58Speaker 2: in his home. Yeah, it's it's not a big deal.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Actual need to pick up some things.
- 34:03Speaker 1: You got to the front door, you walk through the hallway,
- 34:05Speaker 1: you make it. You make an immediate right into the bedroom.
- 34:07Speaker 1: There you are, right. Yeah, the dogs don't even bargain
- 34:11Speaker 1: me anymore. I have a key. Myra said.
- 34:14Speaker 3: One of her favorite moments from season eight, the intern
- 34:18Speaker 3: in the closet, that is the best.
- 34:20Speaker 4: That's my favorite. Myra. I agree, because every times up
- 34:24Speaker 4: I crack up and like go yeah.
- 34:26Speaker 1: To my knowledge.
- 34:27Speaker 3: The intern has never listened to the show, is very
- 34:30Speaker 3: aware of the show. That was one of the things
- 34:31Speaker 3: I actually felt I needed to disclose. Like as we
- 34:34Speaker 3: were doing the pre get.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Your ass back in this closet, I just said, you
- 34:37Speaker 2: don't come out.
- 34:39Speaker 3: So as as I was doing this, great, she's lovely. Yeah, no,
- 34:42Speaker 3: she's really a very talented thing.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Thank you. Closet mister, this microphone into the closet.
- 34:52Speaker 3: You can clean while you're in there. Please, It's just
- 34:55Speaker 3: a mess.
- 34:55Speaker 1: It's just a.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Myra also said Jacob being offered cocaine in Portugal, but
- 35:02Speaker 3: not Whitney and Peter.
- 35:04Speaker 4: I just watched somebody.
- 35:05Speaker 1: No, I was not offered Whitney or Peter. There it is.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I mean, if you, if you, if he hasn't.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Cocaine Jacob and cocaine Jacob.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you can make all this work.
- 35:15Speaker 3: At the same time, Peter's Peter had been down, Peter's
- 35:20Speaker 3: had been injured literally minutes earlier.
- 35:23Speaker 1: When he's like, wow, no, gotta get out of here.
- 35:26Speaker 4: It was wild.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I'm literally drowning right now. No, no, honey, honey, we're
- 35:33Speaker 1: gonna see other people. Holysia is on the way.
- 35:38Speaker 4: I don't know how we're going to get through this.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I don't want to be rude. I've never just.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Had someone and just blatantly like, buy cocaine and use
- 35:50Speaker 4: it on a little alleyway, very adorable, like Pinterest Instagram
- 35:55Speaker 4: esque alleyway. I'm like, this is adorable. And then the
- 35:58Speaker 4: guy just gives gives the money, and then I was like,
- 36:01Speaker 4: oh my god, seventy five year old dad. I was like,
- 36:06Speaker 4: this is fun.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Talk about this on the show.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I feel like I'm hearing this for the first time.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Maybe you weren't here. He missed one around this time.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Maybe I do.
- 36:14Speaker 4: I don't think I described it in as much detail,
- 36:17Speaker 4: but yes, somebody there was.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Like somebody else had cocaine. That's all we got into it.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Yeah, someone had cocaine. But yeah, we're talking like, oh,
- 36:25Speaker 4: this is great. I look behind me. I'm like, there's
- 36:27Speaker 4: a guy just like going for it right in the alley.
- 36:30Speaker 4: I was like, well, and I was like going around.
- 36:33Speaker 4: So he's smart, but good for him. And I was like,
- 36:36Speaker 4: let's just keep walking. Guys, don't look back. I don't
- 36:38Speaker 4: want to end up in port.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Have you ever been offered drugs besides shake up? Besides
- 36:42Speaker 3: when we come here, every I have a.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Really good drug story.
- 36:45Speaker 7: There we go.
- 36:46Speaker 4: This was in Cusco.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Jim drugs for the rest of this show. Dude, there
- 36:51Speaker 1: is a Patreon level?
- 36:53Speaker 4: Is it in his dream?
- 36:57Speaker 1: Pieces of Jim?
- 37:00Speaker 4: Look in your drink real quick.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Probably the only way we're going to get him to
- 37:02Speaker 1: shave no ship we can track. We want to shave
- 37:06Speaker 1: him drug Jim hypnal. You're roofing me just to shave me.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Wow, might be worth it.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Go on with your drug store.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Okay, so uh same actually the same person who was
- 37:18Speaker 4: visiting in Arkansas. We have a lot of memories together.
- 37:21Speaker 4: But her now ex husband at the time all sinking up.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I know whatever's about to happen.
- 37:27Speaker 4: And makes You're in Cusco, prue, so you have to
- 37:30Speaker 4: We went and hiked to to machu Peach you. But
- 37:34Speaker 4: to do that you have to these are in Arkansas. Yeah, okay,
- 37:41Speaker 4: I'm just gonna keep going.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Okay, you're doing great.
- 37:44Speaker 4: So we're in Peru.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Do you know nobody's given him drugs? Yeah? Real, not real?
- 37:51Speaker 2: Maybe that would help, I mean, sneak me adderall. At
- 37:53Speaker 2: some point, I do want to know what that would help.
- 37:55Speaker 2: If all of a sudden, I'll just be like, give
- 37:58Speaker 2: me that before we play Jeopardy.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Actually it's a good shot.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Yeah, you'd focus, really, that would help. So, uh, we're
- 38:02Speaker 4: in Cusco and uh, my my friend's now ex husband
- 38:07Speaker 4: he smokes weed like every damn day. The poor guy.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Actually feel bad for him every day. He was introduced
- 38:14Speaker 4: to drugs at a young age and had a rough
- 38:16Speaker 4: time singing about it. But he quit the other hard drugs.
- 38:21Speaker 4: He was smoking weed still, so I was very curious
- 38:25Speaker 4: how he was going to do on this trip, knowing
- 38:27Speaker 4: like you cannot bring weed on a I mean not
- 38:30Speaker 4: legally bring weed on a plane, like you don't want
- 38:31Speaker 4: to risk that, and you're just not going to smoke
- 38:34Speaker 4: for like a week, which he barely could go a day,
- 38:39Speaker 4: you know. Yeah, and this was this was twenty.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Six twitching on the plane.
- 38:44Speaker 4: And so or maybe twenty eighteen. Anyway, So we get
- 38:48Speaker 4: there and we're like walking around Cusco, super cute fucking town.
- 38:53Speaker 4: But this guy comes up and they call a weed moto. Okay,
- 38:57Speaker 4: so like moto moto. They're like trying to talk to you,
- 38:59Speaker 4: like we're like, oh, I think that's the word for weed.
- 39:02Speaker 4: So he's like, I'm gonna buy this. So he's like
- 39:04Speaker 4: trying to buy this weet all secretive because you don't
- 39:06Speaker 4: want to get cocks. You don't want to end up
- 39:07Speaker 4: in Peruvian jail.
- 39:09Speaker 1: That's not worth it. Wait, this is this is you're
- 39:12Speaker 1: out of the airport though, Yeah.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Yeah, we're we're in yeah the mountains and Cusco. Yeah
- 39:18Speaker 4: yeah so aport no no, non, the airport.
- 39:23Speaker 1: We you.
- 39:23Speaker 4: We flew into Lima and then took a little like
- 39:25Speaker 4: I think tuttle jumper into Cusco. So like, uh, we
- 39:28Speaker 4: meet up there. We meet for dinner or like lunch whatever.
- 39:32Speaker 4: We're finding a meal, and so while we're walking around
- 39:35Speaker 4: the main square, some guy comes up. He's like moto moto,
- 39:37Speaker 4: so he tries to sell them. It's like all secretive
- 39:40Speaker 4: in this bathroom. So you can't like leave it out
- 39:42Speaker 4: and look at him vesty like drugs or how legit
- 39:46Speaker 4: is this. So he just takes it, gives them the money.
- 39:47Speaker 4: You know where this is going. Gives them money, takes it.
- 39:50Speaker 4: We get to our restaurant, they're like, I'm gonna go
- 39:52Speaker 4: in the bathroom and see it. So my friend goes
- 39:53Speaker 4: in the bathroom. She's like, y'all, this guy gave us
- 39:56Speaker 4: fucking grass i was like.
- 39:57Speaker 1: What, it's actual grass.
- 39:59Speaker 4: So then he takes the back looks, he goes, oh
- 40:01Speaker 4: my god, it's no. Let me see y'all. It's alfalfa,
- 40:04Speaker 4: alfalfa fucking grass, like so literal fucking grass. They paid
- 40:08Speaker 4: like eighty dollars for this. I was die, I die,
- 40:13Speaker 4: You're never going to find that guy again. He's like, fuck, yes,
- 40:16Speaker 4: I went in like and like, you know, they're scared, shipless.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Oh what did it feel like when you smoked it? Yeah? Did?
- 40:26Speaker 1: What was the alfalfa?
- 40:27Speaker 4: I don't smoke grass?
- 40:30Speaker 1: She graduated there, sir?
- 40:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I knew better. I will say later on.
- 40:41Speaker 1: A couple of dere guys on the street the other day.
- 40:43Speaker 7: You did, Yes, recently, like two days ago.
- 40:49Speaker 1: There's the guys. They were like, hey, we're here, we're
- 40:52Speaker 1: like representatives of the dare prog shut and they had
- 40:55Speaker 1: like like ship out where was this and they.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Were collecting money for something or another. Yeah, this happened
- 41:00Speaker 2: to me several years back, going into a Walmart. Yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 2: they were set up outside of Walmart.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, I know, I'm thinking of it might be
- 41:07Speaker 1: a scam. I don't know, are they selling cookies?
- 41:09Speaker 4: At least?
- 41:09Speaker 1: I mean I would do cookies.
- 41:11Speaker 4: I learned this on a little scam channel I watch
- 41:14Speaker 4: on YouTube that Dare was kind of like an MLM.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it was. Did you share this with me?
- 41:20Speaker 3: I feel like you did something that like taught me
- 41:22Speaker 3: that it's an MLM or you were talking about it.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Somebody gave me this information and was like, yeah, these
- 41:27Speaker 3: are off two.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Cops years ago.
- 41:31Speaker 4: Recently.
- 41:31Speaker 1: So I was a kid.
- 41:32Speaker 3: I told this story years ago on ice cream Social.
- 41:34Speaker 3: But when I was a kid that like the you know,
- 41:36Speaker 3: they brought the Dare.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Cop in elementary school.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and I remember him. I was in like third grade.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I still remember this.
- 41:45Speaker 4: I think it was fourth or fifth.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Yeah, he comes in and he's going to your class
- 41:49Speaker 1: to class and he and he's doing the same spiel
- 41:52Speaker 1: per class. And then later on all the classes are
- 41:55Speaker 1: going to be together at the lunch room. We all
- 41:56Speaker 1: have like a big, big joint lunch room, and then
- 41:59Speaker 1: we all go by to our classes whatever. That's like
- 42:02Speaker 1: just how the school is set up. So he does
- 42:05Speaker 1: this whole thing, and the only part that I can
- 42:08Speaker 1: tell you about right now, and I'm sure it's not
- 42:10Speaker 1: really true, but the only part that I can tell
- 42:12Speaker 1: you about, for sure in my head is that he
- 42:15Speaker 1: told us about these hand signals that you should give
- 42:19Speaker 1: the cops, and signals were thumbs up. Yes, I like,
- 42:25Speaker 1: it's all good over here, no problems over here, everything's
- 42:31Speaker 1: going great, and like the cop will give you that
- 42:33Speaker 1: thumbs up back now. And he was like, you know,
- 42:35Speaker 1: he's trying to like set up the whole like, oh, yeah,
- 42:37Speaker 1: it's cool cops, and yeah, like cops. You hang out
- 42:40Speaker 1: with the cops and.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Like putting part of the community and everything, which is
- 42:43Speaker 2: great and is how things should work.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Sure, I'm still gonna make fun of this.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Yeah, because the other hand signal that he gave the
- 42:51Speaker 3: middle finger yes, and that was the signal that you
- 42:56Speaker 3: were never supposed to give the cops. He's giving this
- 43:01Speaker 3: as like the and make sure you don't do this.
- 43:04Speaker 2: If you were thinking of flipping off a cop, kids,
- 43:07Speaker 2: don't do that.
- 43:07Speaker 1: That's a big you give them the thumbs up.
- 43:09Speaker 3: What you don't know is that they will interpret that incorrectly,
- 43:14Speaker 3: not the way you intend it.
- 43:16Speaker 2: And he said, if you do that, that's you saying, hey,
- 43:21Speaker 2: I'm a criminal and you need to come and arrest me,
- 43:23Speaker 2: and they'll come and arrest you and that's and and
- 43:26Speaker 2: that's how people get arrested.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Okay, Wow, So all those people that get beaten up
- 43:31Speaker 3: by cops, it's because they were flipping the correct and
- 43:34Speaker 3: that's just a misunderstanding.
- 43:35Speaker 1: That's right.
- 43:36Speaker 2: They were never they were never told this by officer
- 43:40Speaker 2: in nineteen eighty in Louisiana. So so fast forward to.
- 43:47Speaker 1: The lunch room. Okay, after he has done this in
- 43:50Speaker 1: all of the classes throughout that morning, and now we
- 43:54Speaker 1: are all in the lunch room, and guess who comes
- 43:58Speaker 1: in to enjoy a free life on the taxpayers in
- 44:01Speaker 1: the school cafeteria law.
- 44:04Speaker 2: After he's given all these after he's giving all these
- 44:07Speaker 2: little classes.
- 44:07Speaker 1: The gruff the crime doll.
- 44:09Speaker 2: And so here comes all McGruff walking in and all
- 44:12Speaker 2: the kids, like you know, it's third graders, and all
- 44:15Speaker 2: the kids cheer and everything, and everybody's doing cheers up,
- 44:18Speaker 2: and hey, there's macgruff over there.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I don't really, it's.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Little Jacob did oh yeah, thumbs up.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Then a couple of people started doing the other one course,
- 44:32Speaker 1: and then when they didn't get arrested and everybody and
- 44:36Speaker 1: those children were shut on sight.
- 44:39Speaker 2: And then it was a room filled with a hundred
- 44:41Speaker 2: and third graders flipping off a cop.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Yeah, real story.
- 44:46Speaker 4: This is no fucking way.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I'm so proud of I fucking.
- 44:52Speaker 2: At the time, it was hilarious. Oh it's still hilarious.
- 44:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna piss myself. Like I don't know the teachers
- 45:02Speaker 2: and everybody. I suppose they have like responsibilities that they're
- 45:05Speaker 2: supposed to keep decorum and whatever. But like the motherfuckers
- 45:10Speaker 2: that were their servant cafeteria.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Food, like living it up.
- 45:16Speaker 2: They had to have just been cried like that. A
- 45:20Speaker 2: hundred kids just flipped off that cop.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love it. Cop. Not think this
- 45:28Speaker 1: is going to go back.
- 45:29Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, Louisiana.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Teaching children, this person had clearly never interacted with a child,
- 45:38Speaker 3: because if you tell children don't flip off a cop
- 45:41Speaker 3: that is one hundred.
- 45:43Speaker 1: You're going to get a kid killed.
- 45:44Speaker 2: It's what you're doing, Like, that's just dumb of all
- 45:47Speaker 2: they that.
- 45:50Speaker 1: You came to give.
- 45:51Speaker 2: That was what you thought was a priority circumstance children.
- 45:55Speaker 1: You see a police officer, go.
- 45:58Speaker 2: I smell bacon, dumb dumb, dumb, dumb biler tea rights.
- 46:04Speaker 2: This is loosely related to the question, but I just
- 46:06Speaker 2: listened to episode eighty four from August twenty nineteen, and
- 46:11Speaker 2: Nick went on a huge rant about how people don't
- 46:14Speaker 2: know how to act in airports slash don't give a
- 46:16Speaker 2: shit about other people, Nick, and I just appreciate Nick's consistency.
- 46:21Speaker 4: Every time, every time I put my grocery card away,
- 46:23Speaker 4: I think Nick will be proud.
- 46:25Speaker 1: That's what Byler said.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Byler said, I just want to say I appreciate Nick's
- 46:28Speaker 3: consistency over the last six years.
- 46:32Speaker 1: I always about this. I'm not joking. I think about
- 46:36Speaker 1: this every day.
- 46:39Speaker 2: So I hadn't I had to record a training that
- 46:44Speaker 2: goes out to uh. I'm not going to go into
- 46:47Speaker 2: the details because I don't want people to look it up.
- 46:49Speaker 2: But I actually used TSA as an example.
- 46:53Speaker 4: T is like, yeah, just with a tsagent.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Go on, all right.
- 46:58Speaker 2: I was just no, like the like, Hey, if you're
- 47:02Speaker 2: going to do this, and you're going to go through
- 47:03Speaker 2: this process, you need to be prepared when you do it,
- 47:06Speaker 2: because when you're not, it's like going through TSA at
- 47:09Speaker 2: the airport. And when people aren't prepared to go through TSA,
- 47:13Speaker 2: it not only fucks them up, but fox up everybody.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Else in line. This is at the service ladies and gentlemen.
- 47:19Speaker 4: Like as a millennial, and I have all my ships
- 47:22Speaker 4: together in the TSA just like good job. I'm like
- 47:24Speaker 4: living on a high for a week.
- 47:26Speaker 2: That's when I go through TSA. I go to the
- 47:29Speaker 2: airport as I'm going, as I'm as I'm walking from
- 47:35Speaker 2: me my car to TSA pre check, I take off
- 47:40Speaker 2: my watch every way in my bag. So when I
- 47:47Speaker 2: walk through, the last thing I have to do is
- 47:49Speaker 2: show I show my I d as soon.
- 47:51Speaker 1: As I'm done.
- 47:53Speaker 4: You a ticket?
- 47:54Speaker 1: You he goes right in the bag. I walk up there,
- 47:57Speaker 1: throw the bag and then walk right through.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Do you also so that past do you put the
- 48:01Speaker 2: butt plug into the bag or.
- 48:05Speaker 4: A Christmas tree?
- 48:06Speaker 3: It does not show up on the because it's not metallic,
- 48:09Speaker 3: because you got that.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Okay, my bag got swiped like cold for having a candle.
- 48:16Speaker 1: What we've been through this.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Remember that year that you guys gave candles for scoop
- 48:22Speaker 3: Fest and thought it was dynamite. I was like, Oh,
- 48:32Speaker 3: Nick's consistent hatred of humanity ranked pretty high. Builer T
- 48:37Speaker 3: also nominated naming Emma's horse was a really great memory
- 48:42Speaker 3: from this year, and then agreeing that Manu had to
- 48:45Speaker 3: take the runner up name to name her baby, which
- 48:48Speaker 3: is why her baby is named George Bush hates black horses.
- 48:52Speaker 1: That's right, that's right, Yes, legally Christian name, don't it given.
- 48:59Speaker 3: That's what we said that the listening which we were
- 49:01Speaker 3: all it was very nice and Mondho's baby a very
- 49:06Speaker 3: fun part of this year too. Jim's Jim's prediction and
- 49:11Speaker 3: advice not to panic over Trump winning. Did we go
- 49:14Speaker 3: on NPR this time that Trump won?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Or was that last?
- 49:18Speaker 2: So?
- 49:19Speaker 4: I have a calendar up in our kitchen and I
- 49:22Speaker 4: almost posted it to Discord because you're on it now,
- 49:24Speaker 4: because that was like an n PR thing. We went
- 49:26Speaker 4: on Gym's on our on our family calendar PR.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Yeah, was that a year ago?
- 49:32Speaker 4: Last year? Last December?
- 49:34Speaker 1: I think Jacob and I were busy. Yeah, Jacob on
- 49:41Speaker 1: n p R when NPR called me, I'm sorry. How
- 49:46Speaker 1: many times has Jacob talked about supple nineteen year olds?
- 49:50Speaker 1: I think one extensive media trading. Yeah, as I'm trying
- 49:58Speaker 1: to calm the population.
- 50:00Speaker 4: Yeah, that was that was last year?
- 50:02Speaker 3: Oh my god, that was a good, good bit. Currentipillar
- 50:08Speaker 3: remembers in episode through sixty nine, which I don't remember.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Jim saying the word tor tussy to describe a female turn.
- 50:16Speaker 4: I do not remember this either, that you could have
- 50:21Speaker 4: made that up, and I still believe you.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Jim, Oh yeah, I mean I do not remember this.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now. If he didn't say it,
- 50:27Speaker 1: he wishes he does. I do.
- 50:29Speaker 3: We also got a couple of love notes, and then
- 50:31Speaker 3: we'll end this segment. Milk Boy wrote in I just
- 50:34Speaker 3: found the podcast in the later half of this year,
- 50:36Speaker 3: and I just wanted you or I wanted to say
- 50:39Speaker 3: that you guys helped me through so much and and
- 50:42Speaker 3: help me through the process of getting therapy. Thanks for
- 50:45Speaker 3: the laughs from someone who actively struggles to build connections,
- 50:49Speaker 3: and thank you for having this community which I've really
- 50:52Speaker 3: connected to.
- 50:53Speaker 1: That's awesome, man. That was the whole.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Purpose of the show, honestly, to teach people that if hey,
- 50:59Speaker 2: if these assholes can help me, anybody can you know.
- 51:04Speaker 2: I think that means we don't have to do this anymore.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I think so. Yeah.
- 51:07Speaker 2: I think that what we were going for mission accomplished.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Ye put up the billboard. We did it, baby.
- 51:13Speaker 3: Matthew Cubick also wrote a nice little love note, said,
- 51:16Speaker 3: just a note for the four of you, what you
- 51:18Speaker 3: do has meant and continues to mean a lot. You've
- 51:22Speaker 3: provided a lot of comfort and laughs during a tough year.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Thank you. I love having What does you think we do? Yeah?
- 51:31Speaker 2: You know, a very odd PROTI Which are the things?
- 51:37Speaker 2: Is it that I'm doing? It makes you feel so
- 51:38Speaker 2: much better?
- 51:39Speaker 1: Which thing?
- 51:40Speaker 3: Other things that were honorable mentions on the memories list, Uh,
- 51:44Speaker 3: there was scoop Fest of course, Naming the Pony came
- 51:47Speaker 3: a bunch of times. Save Peter campaign very very memorable.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Save Peter was an important one. We haven't made a
- 51:56Speaker 3: whole lot of progress.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, but we're getting the message out, but we're.
- 52:01Speaker 1: Actively we're not doing that.
- 52:04Speaker 4: From there should be a.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Patreon number that if we hit that, we will get
- 52:08Speaker 2: Peter the fuck out of this thing, or we take
- 52:12Speaker 2: him out for a good night.
- 52:12Speaker 1: How about that, We'll say Peter for a night. It'll
- 52:14Speaker 1: be a lot of fun.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Like there's a Patriot by the week hit We're like,
- 52:18Speaker 2: we just give a hundred dollars bill to Peter.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Yeah you.
- 52:25Speaker 4: Uh.
- 52:25Speaker 3: The closing of Show Creators was another memory gone good
- 52:30Speaker 3: run that we had there and the opening of s
- 52:31Speaker 3: J and the Ruckus Scenic Coy Pon Studios. Another really
- 52:35Speaker 3: fun memory. Nick's Get to Know a therap Producer.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Series The Patreons I Love.
- 52:41Speaker 3: It Yeah, which ran last year and this year, but yeah,
- 52:44Speaker 3: a solid good run for about half of the year.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Patreon dot com slash therapy we posted a lot.
- 52:51Speaker 2: It was awesome getting to meet all of the names
- 52:53Speaker 2: because some of them knew. A lot of them are
- 52:55Speaker 2: new through scoop Fast, but yeah, yeah, just meeting the
- 52:58Speaker 2: rest of them was kind of cool.
- 52:59Speaker 1: That was really cool.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Jim's AI Therapy, Uh, was a good one. I've had
- 53:03Speaker 3: eight installments up there. This has been fun. Emma the
- 53:06Speaker 3: Interns Inside Out series another.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Really fun one. It has really been great.
- 53:10Speaker 3: We've had a bunch of installments up there, so we
- 53:12Speaker 3: have had a hell of a year, a.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Lot of fun. And you know, it's it's so interesting.
- 53:17Speaker 3: I was talking to somebody the other day and I
- 53:20Speaker 3: rarely talk about the show, but you know, here's a
- 53:22Speaker 3: person that you know. We're just chatting about different things,
- 53:24Speaker 3: talking about mental health, talking about podcasting, and Jim was
- 53:27Speaker 3: drunk and I was very drunk, and so I tried
- 53:30Speaker 3: to explain the show. And it's always the way that
- 53:32Speaker 3: I always explain the show is, I'll tell them, like,
- 53:35Speaker 3: you know, my buddy and I we used to work
- 53:36Speaker 3: at a rehab together and we're a couple of therapists,
- 53:39Speaker 3: male therapists, pretty rare in the world. And after work
- 53:42Speaker 3: sometimes we'd go to a bar. We'd get some drinks,
- 53:44Speaker 3: we'd watch football, and we're just regular dudes. Would give
- 53:46Speaker 3: each other a hard time or whatever. And you talk
- 53:48Speaker 3: to other people at the bar and they'd ask you,
- 53:50Speaker 3: what do you do for a living? Because we'd be
- 53:51Speaker 3: talking about life and our work. We tell them me
- 53:53Speaker 3: how you know, we're therapists, and that always opened up conversations.
- 53:57Speaker 3: You know, people would get to know us and they'd
- 53:59Speaker 3: ask us questions like, you know, hey, man, really though,
- 54:01Speaker 3: can I ask you a question about this? Like my
- 54:02Speaker 3: teenager's doing this? Or this was going to my marriage?
- 54:04Speaker 3: Or do you know where I could find this or that?
- 54:06Speaker 3: And we would give them.
- 54:07Speaker 2: By break, I'm not working, motherfucker, put some money in
- 54:11Speaker 2: the can.
- 54:12Speaker 3: But you know, we'd give people feedback or whatever, keep
- 54:14Speaker 3: it light spirited. And then we'd go back to Josh
- 54:16Speaker 3: and around and goofing off and people really seem to
- 54:18Speaker 3: like that, and we'd get this feedback where people were like, Wow,
- 54:21Speaker 3: I thought therapists were like these pretentious, scholarly, you know people,
- 54:26Speaker 3: And that's what planted the idea.
- 54:27Speaker 1: That's all I have another cocktail.
- 54:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I'll tell you I'm a job fourth martini.
- 54:33Speaker 3: I real fucking pretentious, but that's what That's what started
- 54:37Speaker 3: the whole show. And I remember you and I just
- 54:39Speaker 3: kind of thinking, man, you know, we liked podcasts. You
- 54:41Speaker 3: and I would always talk about our favorite podcast together
- 54:43Speaker 3: over lunch, and we just thought, you know, all the
- 54:46Speaker 3: podcasts that we listened to, it's hard for us to
- 54:48Speaker 3: listen to mental health ones because if they were reputable
- 54:51Speaker 3: and credible, they were boring, and if they were entertaining,
- 54:55Speaker 3: they lacked, you know, the true information. They were just
- 54:58Speaker 3: something that you were listening to people be pro mental health,
- 55:00Speaker 3: but they were. They were also funny, and that was
- 55:03Speaker 3: what started the show. Is the idea that we could,
- 55:05Speaker 3: you know, let's start a conversation, bring our friendship into it,
- 55:09Speaker 3: kind of be off duty, answer real questions, be relatable.
- 55:13Speaker 3: Recruited Jacob, you know, through ICs after we got involved
- 55:17Speaker 3: with them, brought in a very strong comedy element, still
- 55:20Speaker 3: pro mental health, and also helped us be tethered to
- 55:24Speaker 3: you know, the normal, real day to day life conversation,
- 55:28Speaker 3: because so you know, sometimes we'd get in our in
- 55:30Speaker 3: our asses about our profession and we kind of drift
- 55:32Speaker 3: off to the right. Jacob he'd be up in their asses,
- 55:36Speaker 3: throwing that rope around us to say, hey, you just
- 55:38Speaker 3: said ten words that the average man doesn't know. Come
- 55:40Speaker 3: back over here and and you know, rejoin this normal
- 55:43Speaker 3: person conversation. And that brought us together. And Whitney, having
- 55:46Speaker 3: you on the show last couple of years be funny
- 55:48Speaker 3: if I literally threw a rope around I think they do.
- 55:50Speaker 3: I think you metaphorically do. But bringing Whitney on I
- 55:53Speaker 3: think has been tremendous. I mean just it's been all perful.
- 55:56Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 55:57Speaker 4: Yeah, the lunch next, Hey do you want to go
- 56:01Speaker 4: to lunch? As like, Nick never asked for lunch, So what.
- 56:03Speaker 3: The Either he's trying to fuck me or this podcast
- 56:06Speaker 3: thing is happening has yet another reason why we really
- 56:16Speaker 3: very professional. And she felt very awkward in her neglige
- 56:21Speaker 3: in the middle of Applebee's with Peter just sitting there
- 56:27Speaker 3: in his chair.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Sitting at the bar watching them in the booth. So
- 56:34Speaker 1: what's going on with the hotel? The armed chair from
- 56:40Speaker 1: the hotel.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Yes he wants to be comfortable. Yes, with the burn
- 56:44Speaker 2: marks from the cigarettes, the whole bit. But bringing Whitney
- 56:47Speaker 2: on the show has just been fabulous. People have loved
- 56:50Speaker 2: having Whitney. I think it's it's helped us. I think
- 56:53Speaker 2: even us out a little bit because our years and
- 56:55Speaker 2: years of the bro fest. Uh, you know, we needed
- 56:58Speaker 2: that feminine touch and Whitney You've been one in a
- 57:00Speaker 2: million to be a person who can deal with us.
- 57:04Speaker 1: Write down. It's so good.
- 57:05Speaker 4: Anyone can do that with.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Oh man, what a unique project. But yeah, here, honestly,
- 57:10Speaker 1: I honestly did not think she was gonna last.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Yeah, every week that she shows up again, I'm like, wow, Like.
- 57:19Speaker 1: I'm so welcome, guys.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I'm honestly a little surprised every time I'll see she's
- 57:22Speaker 2: still on the group chat. I'm always surprised when she
- 57:28Speaker 2: like enthusiastically replies the text like okay, I'll be there,
- 57:31Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh shit, okay, great, we haven't scared
- 57:34Speaker 2: her off yet.
- 57:35Speaker 3: But here I am trying to explain to this person
- 57:37Speaker 3: what this podcast is, and it's it's always a mouthful.
- 57:40Speaker 3: It's always hard to like get the idea crossed there.
- 57:44Speaker 3: It is the Wookie garbles. But you know, I'm really
- 57:48Speaker 3: proud of this. You know, it's been such a fun journey,
- 57:51Speaker 3: and you know it A little personal note the so,
- 57:54Speaker 3: leading up to my fortieth birthday, my wife secretly sent
- 57:57Speaker 3: out a text thread that was like record a video
- 58:01Speaker 3: for Jim, and she got it to Nick through Eddie,
- 58:05Speaker 3: who apparently had your number. Because she didn't have your number.
- 58:08Speaker 3: I was like, you don't have Nick's number, Like that's
- 58:11Speaker 3: I feel like you should have that, like that's an
- 58:12Speaker 3: important number.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Well, honestly, he's on.
- 58:16Speaker 3: The So I printed out this whole thing, and I
- 58:19Speaker 3: printed out this whole instruction guide.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Yeah he's changed my phone. Yeah, yeah, that's right. He's
- 58:23Speaker 1: not nicking my phone. I don't want to get caught.
- 58:25Speaker 3: It just says, mom, why are you sending dick pics
- 58:28Speaker 3: to your mom again? Well, because she, you know, gives
- 58:31Speaker 3: me advice.
- 58:32Speaker 1: She's seen it before. You're weird for asking.
- 58:36Speaker 4: It's not weird.
- 58:36Speaker 3: I'm sick of you being so goddamn controlling in this relationship.
- 58:39Speaker 1: I can't have a relationship with my mother.
- 58:41Speaker 3: But uh no, my my wife sent the text through
- 58:44Speaker 3: Eddie and then Eddie kicked it over to Nick and
- 58:45Speaker 3: then Nick recorded a very nice video. But one of
- 58:48Speaker 3: the things you had said in the video was like,
- 58:49Speaker 3: you know, uh, yeah, we've been business partners now, you know,
- 58:52Speaker 3: for coming up on a decade, and it's just it's
- 58:55Speaker 3: a crazy project we've been a part of. And you know,
- 58:57Speaker 3: you said some very nice things, but just all of
- 58:59Speaker 3: the as we wrap up this eighth year.
- 59:01Speaker 1: It was impressive. It was very nice.
- 59:04Speaker 3: He literally recorded it outside of Jacob's house after we recorded.
- 59:08Speaker 2: Yeah, because I forgot his birthday was the next day.
- 59:13Speaker 1: I'm like, looking at the video, I'm like, wait a minute,
- 59:15Speaker 1: I just saw him light He's in his car. I
- 59:22Speaker 1: just saw him, Like what the fuck we came in.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I heard we came into record, and I was like, oh,
- 59:33Speaker 1: ship's right, it's his birthday.
- 59:36Speaker 2: I gotta remember it, Like I gotta do this. I
- 59:37Speaker 2: got I got like six hours left. Yeah he's done.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Yeah. But it was very very nice.
- 59:42Speaker 2: But it reminded me, man, we've been doing this project
- 59:44Speaker 2: for a really long time, you know, and I always forget.
- 59:46Speaker 2: I forget when whenever you use the phrase like business partners,
- 59:49Speaker 2: I always forget that this is a like it's not
- 59:51Speaker 2: a profitable business, technically a business hobby partners. Yeah, that's right,
- 59:57Speaker 2: and we've really violated I record lines a couple of times,
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: according to the I r S.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Love the game.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: But no, it has been a really fun project. And
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: you know, I love working with you guys. I love
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: seeing all of you every single week. I appreciate that
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: you guys put up with me every single week. Thank
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: you for doing this project with us. It's been a
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: lot of fun. So Jacob, thank you for continuing to
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: put up with us. You're another one that.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I kind of just keep waiting, and I keep waiting
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: for you to feel like, hey, I think I'm done.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: Get us the boy right.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Yeah, but no, I love that you guys do this
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: and I think, you know, doing these little season finales
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: gives us a chance to, you know, just take a
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: beat to reflect on, Hey, here's why I do this project.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: And you know, for me personally, you know, this project
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: it'll never get us rich. It's so funny because so
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: many people who love this show have tried to approach
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: us and try to explain to us, like we're five,
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: here's how you get more people to listen to the show.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: You should do Yeah, you've tried to explain this. Here's
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: I put this on YouTube.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Herece I do it.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: And it's so funny because Nick's less like this. But
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I'm always really nervous because I'm like.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: I don't know, like, you know, I don't think I
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: want the thing to actually go viral, Like I don't
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: want people to actually see it.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Like I'm pretty comfortable with the community we think about it.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Was like, I don't ever want.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: It to get bigger. But you know, I love this show.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: I love this project for me personally, the reason I
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: keep doing it is, you know, honestly, at this point,
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: it's the people on the discord, Like, it's the people.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: That we get to see it scoop fest.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: It's it's just because when you do a project like this,
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: you don't get to see the faces of anybody who's
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: out there. But when they take that extra step, they
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: go to Patreon, they put a buck in the hat,
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: they join the discord, they comment on the episodes, they
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: start a conversation with you, and then you know, they'll
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: they'll message you and be like, hey, but for real,
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: this this project really means a lot to me. It's
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: very special to me, and I look forward to hearing
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: your voice every single week, and I look forward to
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: your friendships and like people that just join us and
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: seeing them in person in scoop Fest, and like the
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: way that ICs has allowed us to be a part
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: of that has just added such a dimension to this.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: It's hard to remember that this show that we record
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: in our Buddies Off actually reaches tens of thousands of
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: people around the world and it's part of those recording.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: So that's that's my why behind this. But you know,
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: I thought we'd take a beat on on kind of
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: what is your why for doing pod.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Therapy and then we'll move on to gifts.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Little movie video images aside from the aside from the fame,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: yeah of course, and all that place I was in,
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: I mean I was I was walking through Low's today
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: because it's a Sunday, Yeah, of course.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: And that's what I do know.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: And I mean just the looks from everybody recorded and
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: all that.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: You have to laugh into the mic or otherwise people
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: don't know you're doing it when when they feel permission
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: when you laugh, it validates me because I'm like, maybe
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: he's not creepy. There's a woman one foot away from him.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: Who's who's like fine with us.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Also sit further away from I need you.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: It's a very long couch. I don't like to be
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: far from her. It was mine. Spoiler alert.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: No, I don't know this is it's for me. It's
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: just fun. Yeah, I enjoy it. Yeah, that's that's my
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: my big thing. I mean, it started off with a
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: really important message and that's gone now.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: So that.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Still tell people to make sure they know where their
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: water shut off.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Valve is honestly some of the best advice you've ever given.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Yeah, probably make sure you know where your water shine
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: is in your home.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: Our biggest uh yeah contribution I think to the world
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: is the water shut off.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: My brother just discovered that his home has a separate
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: water shut off valve, an additional one from the one
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: that he already knew about, and so we of course
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: celebrated the finding of an additional water shut off valve
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: as you should.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: I had a client every time a bell rings, I know,
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: finds his wahut off.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: Who said their their hot water heater was like leaking
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: and they went to turn off their water like shut off,
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: but it was it was piped wrong, like I don't know,
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: trying to explain it's pipe rong, like to where the
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: input was out or something, and I was like, it's.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: One of the worst things you can do. Oh no,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: well that's.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: What I hear and if only I was thinking. But
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: I can't tell them.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: We're not good for mental health advice, but indoor plumbing.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: I feel like that's our strength.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: No, we've gotten some messages like the ones that we
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: had earlier about just people uh getting into therapy for
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: the first time.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: I'm always surprised. I'll never I mean, we're doing this
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: for eight years. We have had literally hundreds of people
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: who have written to us, either publicly on the reviews
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: or privately, to say this show actually mattered in my life.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: And if we get another one tomorrow.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I will be shocked. Like I am always like wow.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Really this episode specifically, I don't think so.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the season finales.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: They always yeah, this is always considered peaks the seasons.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Only Jacob cares.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Everybody else is fine with it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Only it's so dumb.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: I love that we influenced ICs to actually have seasons though,
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: and it's like, what every thousand, Yeah, we did a
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: thousand episode seasons, each episode.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Being three hours long.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry, you're welcome three hours.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Jacob, what is your why you've been putting up with
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: us for eight years now?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: The money, it's.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: It's the gold bars that we paid.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it is purely the money.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Whitney, same question.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Okay, I'll send them.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: All right, So we're just buying our friends. I guess
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: that's this works.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: You know when people will come up at uh, I
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: mean at Scoop Best it happens and at other events
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: and and and what have you, and people say they
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: like the show and that it it means something to them.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: That's that's always uh so nice to hear.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: It's it's weird as as just a dumb comedian to
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: have people tell you that you're doing something that's nice
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: their life.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: And uh, and I'm happy to be able to do that.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I'm happy to be able to help and bring this thing,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: uh to viewers and listeners and and all that kind
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: of stuff. So I mean, yeah, it's it's a nice thing.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: It's a nice thing for me to do. On another topic, Uh,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: a woman.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: Very recently who was arguing with me about something or other.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: It was not my wife.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: No no no no no no no no she knows
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: better than to argue that's simply not true.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, this is this is not this is
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: not anything that is important at all. This was this
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: was not an important interaction with anyone. This is just
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: a silly thing. But she was telling me how uh
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: she apparently I don't know, but she apparently works.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: In the in the midtal health profession. Okay, and so
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: she knows about the thing that we were talking about, which,
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: by the way, we had nothing to do with mental health.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Okay. She had kind of steered the conversation to this.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: It was a perfectly nice conversation. It didn't matter, Okay,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: but I got I got to pull back and be like, well, actually,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I know, a couple hours a week, I just talk
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: about mental health. Yeah, for eight years, bitch, I picked
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: up a couple of things.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: PhD among them, doctor doctor.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: I mean, ship you can get one in seven years.
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: He's done this for eight So, I mean, that's honestly,
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: what was that?
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: What was the test that we did a few months ago?
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: It was like it was one of your guys tests
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: that I just he was crushing it.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: That disgusted me. I'm still fucking furious about that.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: We almost up again. We almost found another studio to
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: go to. We should just leave, right. We can't do this.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: We need we need to know.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: This, re examine our lives.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: He's become too powerful. He shouldn't be able to do that.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Oh bad, Well we love having you man. So Whitney,
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: what is what is your Why? Why did you fucking
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: agree to this dumb ass project? And why do you
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: stick around?
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: I know, refill mine. I'm just kidding.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I'll take one if you're filling them up.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: No, I feel like Nick reaching out the first time
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: is because Jim was having like a mental.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: One of my menty bees, little menty.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Bee, yeah, And I was like, oh, okay, Jim, Jim's
- 1:08:40Speaker 4: having a hard time. Okay, But he was like, do
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: you want to just come on for like, you know,
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: see how it goes. I was like, can we just
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: have a few a few episodes?
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Remember the first one? She was too scared to talk,
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: I was like, this is hard to interject because you
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: guys have a flow. You had like moved the whole
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: whole thing, and I'm trying to like time it and
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: judge it and not feel like, oh, I'm just interjecting
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: like an asshole or is it time? Like I don't know.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: The timing was a little tough. I felt like, y'all
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: are my people. I do love the dark, sarcastic humor,
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: and I do feel like a lot of people mental
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: health and maybe that's just from working with juvenile sex offenders.
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: We always say like, if you can't laugh at some
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: of this dark shit, like you're not gonna get through it.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: And so I don't mean that you always have to
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: laugh at that, Like there are some heavy things that
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: are that are discussed in mental health, but I think
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: you have to be able to take some things with
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: a grain of salt. Because even our clients come to
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: us sometimes and they're like, they're sharing with us really
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: dark thoughts. It doesn't mean they always mean it right,
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: and you have to be able to judge that. And
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: so I think a podcast like this is really unique, honestly,
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: and that's why I'm always pushing Jim to like expand,
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: but it is it's hard to take that, and I
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: get it. I get a gym because you don't know,
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: it could be it could be really greater, it could
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: be really scary.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: We're such an acquired taste, we're such an acquired taste and.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: To touch on something you said, because this is something
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: that I think is really important, which is like, as
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: a therapist, we hear some terrible shit.
- 1:10:18Speaker 4: Last week, there's some dark shit.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and so and the thing, you know, for for
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: any listeners who don't know what this is, like, it's
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: we don't We're not making fun of or laughing at
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: the people or the situation.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: But what it is is.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: You have to find a way to find something humorous
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: in a dark situation in order, yeah, in order to yeah, exactly.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: It's a grounding thing to kind of come back to
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: reality and be like, Okay, there's a path through this.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: You find a way through this, but you have to
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: have something that shakes you.
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: It's like validating, like I'm gonna validate you acknowledge this,
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: and then like let's dig into the humor.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Thing I think for me is almost kind of like
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: it's a it's the slap across the face that's just
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: kind of like okay, wake up, yeah, wake up, yeah,
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: put this back in perspective. Yeah, let's wake up now,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: let's focus. All right, let's get back in.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: It's a reminder, this is a part of life. This
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: isn't life right, This isn't everything right. This is just
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: a part of what we're already doing. Yeah, it's a
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: shitty part today.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: Well after breaks that up, it makes it. It brings
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: you back to reality. That's like, this doesn't have to
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: be all all encompassing.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: But it is such a hard thing to pull off.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: I mean, the fact that this show jumps in and
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: out of humor and gives real practical advice relates a lot,
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: normalizes things a lot, turns it around and gives people
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: like navigational advice about mental health and then ventures. To
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: be so bold is to give actual feedback that is real,
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: in clinical and useful and like actually, you know, applicable
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: to people's situation.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I mean, not tonight, but tonight.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: But you know, most of the time, I agree Jim,
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: we're great, We're awesome. I just I will toot our
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: own horn, but I will say that we are.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: A very taste.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Which is the thing that has always scared me to
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: like do more is I don't think that I've always
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: feared that we don't have mass appeal in that sense
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: that if you just put us on the street and
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: you let people bump into the show, they won't understand
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: the concept quickly, whereas people have taken the time to
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: listen to a couple of episodes gotten our vibe, then
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: they get to know us, and that's essential. You have
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: to know Jacob and then whenever he'll crack it an
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: appropriate joke, then you're like, Okay, I know that guy.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: That's his bit.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: It's funny because he's actually sincerely a good man and like,
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: but he's playing on this concept or he's adding voice
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: to this part of the joke. Humor is so difficult
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: for people to get like. It's such a multi layered
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: complex thing. So we're finding out today that the only
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: reason Jim doesn't want the show to go bigger is
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: because he is scared that his people will see me.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Oh oh, Jim is ashamed of me.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: And all your drops of me and nineteen year olds
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: and Dixon people.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I mean, it's not gonna be good for me. At
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: least twenty percent of that.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I think the other fifty percent is, you know, Machu
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Picchu being in Arkansas.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: There's a little worried about that.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: There's things that can come back to Biden being honest,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: These these are bad things.
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: But for all of you that support the show. You
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: are the reason that we do it. We are not
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: a huge show. I doubt we ever will be. Maybe
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: one day I'll have the bravery to take the steps
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: that allow people to find us. But those of you
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: who listen to our show, that have gone to patreon
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: dot com slash therapy and you've made your presence known,
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: that is so powerful for us. Like we're we're on
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: this stage and we're broadcasting this message to this dark room,
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: and when people like turn on their little light so
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: we can see them out in the distance, it suddenly
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: makes us feel not alone, and it gives us this
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: perspective that, oh what I do matters these there are
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: people listening to this. This is not pointless. I'm not
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: just you know, sitting here indulging myself that it makes
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: a difference. Yeah, that's my perception. But those of you
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: who have who have joined us, who have made this
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: you know, a project worth doing. That is why it
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: has been here for eight years. It's because so many
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: of you have joined us, and especially in this last year.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: One of the big things that change in twenty twenty
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: five was we finally figured out how to allow people
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: to just activate an annual membership with the show at Patreon,
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: and that's been really cool because as soon as we
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: figured that out, so many people it was me, Dick,
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: you don't even know how to log into the Patreon
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: or actually you do, but only to get membership.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: You know, I'm still trying to close the store. I
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: don't even I don't know who the fucking off button. Everyone,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: you haven't figured it out. Jacob is losing right here.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: I've never seen employ from my Oh I've done.
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: He left us. We don't know how to push the
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: button anyway.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: Before we take our break, I just want to thank
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: you all of you who have just made yourselves part
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: of our community at any giving level. It honestly is
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: what not just makes this show possible, but but also
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: gives us a why, gives us a reason to do it.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Nobody wants to show up every week and you know,
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: apply their craft if you don't think anybody gets anything
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: from it. There's a lot of podcasts that suffer for
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: years with no audience, and we're so blessed to have one.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: O Jim, I see and hear a lot of podcasts
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: out there that don't seem to be concerned with their audience.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Enjoining them at all. That's probably true.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I agree with you that so many.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: I think it's a very common thing.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: So if you are out there and you listen to us,
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: people are hear this. If you listen to us on
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: the Thursday feed and you've been with us for a while,
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: and you know you look forward to your Thursdays, you
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: look forward to this hour and a half two hour
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: conversation and you appreciate it, you get it, you dial
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: into this vibe, you understand it. We would love for
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: you to be a bigger part of us. And if
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: you know, as we step into season nine, if you
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: would go to patreon dot com slash therapy, if you'd
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: sign up, do the annual membership. It's twelve bucks for
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: the year, set up at the dollar if you really
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: want to give it a whirl. There's a lot of
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: you there. It is the PSA. There's a lot of
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: you who are on the free membership at patreon dot
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: com slash therapy. It'd be great to see you kick
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: over to the real side, join the Patreon, join the discord.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: That means the world to us. So at the end
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: of the day, it's the people that have actually shown themselves,
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: the part of the community. That's what makes it real
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: for us.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: There it is I hate because I don't want to
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: encourage it. But he's really good at it. Why is
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: it always that, what about like ave Maria or something.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Well, No, that's his bit is that we're drumming up
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: the war effort, right, that's the bit. The bit is
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: that we're going around wah.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: A.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Maria doesn't quite inspire. That's how the French army always
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: went to war. That's right. Yeah, And.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: Anyway, for those of you who do sponsor the show
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: at that their producer level and higher, our victories are
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: your victories. Every letter we get where people think us
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: and say, hey man, this project a lot. They are
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: thinking you because fundamentally you are the ones that put
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: gas in the tank, that make this show continue to
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: go forward and get the mileage.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: So thank you.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: We are going to take a quick break and when
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: we come back, we are doing our Christmas gift exchange,
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: which I'm pretty excited.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Oh, I think you guys are gonna like the ones
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: I got. You are still listening to pod therapy. Hey, everybody,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: go fuck yourself.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: This episode is brought to you by all of our
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: therap producers. Thank you all all of your episodes, all
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: you people, every single one of you people.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: You know who you are. Hey.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: Also, this show is brought to you by Nick's Fitness Challenge.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: Fitness Challenge in your Butt Challenge and but I forgot
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I was doing that.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Tell us about it.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Go to UH mental Fits personal training dot com slash
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: pod Therapy. Sign up forty dollars for two months pre
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: exercises a week. You can do them at home, do
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: them at home at home workouts but just body weight
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: or if you've got exercise bands, you got bands too.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: And there's going to be some extra content out there
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: with nutritionist yes and myself, so it'll be good.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: The link is in the episode description. If you're listening
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: on the main feed, it's already plugged in.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: There starts first week of January.
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: I forgot to put it in the Patreon, but luckily
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: we have an entire discord of people who are used
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: to me not doing things. I saw that they immediately
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: posted it in the Hilarious. Specifically, Myra was like, and
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: here's the link. Jim said he was going to put
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: in and did not do.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Thank you, Bra because then she also she's on it
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: is on it, it goes out on air, she immediately
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: like fact checks us and then she's like, yeah, one
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: should not.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: Every therap producer actually takes the producer part seriously.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Myra, it takes it seriously. I was like, nope, I
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: know what I signed up for. You need to update
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: your website. I was like, oh yeah, oh yeah, I
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: tally forgot about that.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. Yeah, I love those producers. I'll want
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: you guys do it. Just here's the here's the password.

- 1:19:08Speaker 3: be a good year. Man, get helped, get started. So
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: it's Christmas time, friends, and I got you a little something.
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: I got your little something. So I don't know, I
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: don't know how to wrap gifts. So this year I
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: bought these really cool Christmas wrapped bags that are just
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: basically Christmas wrapping and then there's like you just pull
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: this like like tie and then it's a bow and
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: then you got your little thing.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: So this is how I'm getting around it this year.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: So Nick, you can open yours first. Go, okay, Christmas

- 1:19:57Speaker 2: This is a gentleman who knows no.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I mean, I suppose anything is if you're braving? What
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: is this?
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: This is a Reef sport Reef friendly mineral sunscreen. It
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: feels empty, that's what it looks like. It's actually a
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: flask to take with you golfing. Oh yes, yes, so
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: this is a secret flask designed to look like sunscreene Oh,

- 1:21:03Speaker 1: can just click this on my golf bag. Yeah.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: I think that that will when they go to the
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: pools in the summer too.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: What.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: Oh that's so smart. Oh that's so.
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: Smart because the cocktails are my sunscreen.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Yeah, is very thoughtful. Now I feel bad.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so I don't know is mine that?
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: Because I want to?
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Can't you just drink at the golf course?
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: Though?
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Do you need a flask?
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: They want you to have alcohol, but it's expensive alcohol,
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: so I'm saving you some money, right.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, that's that's the thing is people try to
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: smuggle in there.
- 1:21:32Speaker 8: Ah, hold on, I have a good question on this
- 1:21:35Speaker 8: deal with the cart girls, because yeah, there's a girl
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: it's like a friend of a friend that I fall
- 1:21:39Speaker 8: on Instagram and she just poshing like a bunch of
- 1:21:43Speaker 8: twenties one hundreds whatever.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: They get paid. I meant, well, yeah, they do very well.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Yes, Oh you got a bunch of middle aged drunk dudes,
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: white dudes. Yeah, out there, drunk white dudes just trying
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: to make conversation.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Oh there's a whole like Kurt girl callulture thing. Oh yeah,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: a lot of them.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: Yeah, they go on Instagram, you know them in a
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: lot of them very attractive, and then the guys are
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: all thinking like, oh, yes.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I really like and then they're telling them how they're shooting.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I just.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Think that they are rich enough to pull the cart guard.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, is the funniest guys.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Like, yeah, yeah, because that guy six figures.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: So I used to be a caddy. I used to
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: be a caddie at a golf course. I've still never
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: played golf. I was not a very effective caddy. But
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: the the cart girls crushed it, right, They made more
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: than everybody else.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: It wasn't even close.
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: And all they did is just drive up, serve a
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: couple of beers, like, just flirt a little bit, chat
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: them up.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: That's why they don't like. I get the sense that
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: they don't like working our tournaments because in the league
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: I play in, because you guys are serious, yeah, and
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: it's a pretty competitive lead and trying to drink. We're
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: trying to win money. Yeah, you're not drink, and so yeah,
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: there's not a whole lot of guys that drink.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: They show up like can it get your beer Red Bull? Please? Yeah?
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: Like I need coffee, yeah, coffee fifty here.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: There's a change. Always don't worry.

- 1:24:06Speaker 3: you know, seems a little off, You're.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Like, well, I'm not trying to make eye contact with
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: that guy. Anyway.
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: He's got like a beeping fucking bracelet.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: That's a good question.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a it's a Jacob is opening the box

- 1:24:53Speaker 3: back on and nobody's the wiser.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: It all works out. Yeah, so that you could fit
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: a good amount in that one. I think that would
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: be good. Don't give chocolate to the dogs. So Whitney,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: open your gift.
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: I wonder what mine's going to be.

- 1:34:24Speaker 2: The reason I gave Nick the one that just says
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: blessed that it has like a nice little edge you
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: got and everything. It has a simple cross on it
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: and says blessed on it. I gave that to Nick
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: because I know Nick, and I know that because someone gave.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: It to him. But it is a nice dish towel.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Will use it, use it absolutely. It's a housewarming.

- 1:36:16Speaker 2: with the Valentines and display that is for some reason
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: up in December.
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: This is the persecution that Christians endure. Okay, the fact
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: that you could only find one, you know, I thought
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: this was America.

- 1:37:41Speaker 1: Scotch Yes, and then we go, yeah, the painter brand.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: That's a good brand of painterstake because we're still painting electrical.
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: Nice. Oh man, you're electrical tape.
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: That's the only one there. I was like, where's the
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: tape guy?
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:38:07Speaker 4: You were like I was clos today.
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: I was like me too, I'll tell you what painters tape.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: There's some cheap ship out there. The fe this is good. Yeah,
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: I was using some stuff the other day. I was like,
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: I was swearing paint very nice. He's still paying off
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: the last paint jobs right.
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: On pat plan also a paint job very sexy. You
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: know it sounds it sounds good. Honestly, I try paint.
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: You try a paint job. Why not paint job?
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: I like that. Okay.
- 1:38:45Speaker 4: I have a very bear.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: I have a merry polar bear rocking two different candy canes.
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: It's a green bag.
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: I've got red wrapping paper inside, and there is some
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: kind of frame photo there. It is It is a certificate.
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: This is the certify Jesus Christ.
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: This is fuck you.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: It's an actual certificate with my photo in the center.
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: It's my certificate with my photo in the center. And
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: it says this is to certify that James job And
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: has completed two out of forty forty tasks has participated
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: participation trophy.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: Bitch. Okay, okay, I'm gonna take a picture of the ship. Okay.
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: Oh it's so good. Ship, so good. We're going to
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: the quiz here in a second.
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: If if oh, Jim is in fourth place on the quiz,
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: if Jim loses a quiz dead last, he has to
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: hang that where he used to have his doctorate.
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: Oh oh my god in the background of my zoomyah,
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: thank you with me. This is lovely.
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: This is absolutely and it's not even ironic. It's for
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: just a door Dash gift card because I love you.
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: There you go, because I love you so much so
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: you told me how much used door Dash. I still
- 1:40:19Speaker 4: like use them one time in my life. But I'm like,
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: you know what Jacob he does. He will use the
- 1:40:23Speaker 4: doors because they've opened up.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: Thank you, very nice, Thank you.
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: We don't go to the bar after. That's part of it.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: There you go. That's how you pick up a tab.
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: So on this this door dash thing, it reminded me
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: of Jacob's story about tipping, and I want to tell
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: you guys a story about Red Lobster because it brought
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: up Jacob because like, after this Red Lobster thing, I
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: told Jacob's story and I was like, Jacob has a
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: goddamn point. So we go to Red Lobster's a family
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: never happens. Well, okay, there's actually.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: Two different things that happened that are related to this.
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: But so my in laws come into town and they're like, Hey,
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: we're gonna go to the Gallery and mall and I'm like, oh,
- 1:41:00Speaker 3: you know what, nobody ever goes the mall. It is
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: and so it's like, you know what, let's go to
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: the mall.
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: There's a whole vibe.
- 1:41:06Speaker 3: It's Christmas Eve, and we used to do this all
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: the time before Amazon, Like we used every Christmas whole family. Dude,
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: Like twenty five percent of that place is closed.
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: It is all all are it is dead? Oh so bad?
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: Go ahead and drive out to to Prim.
- 1:41:24Speaker 9: Oh all in Prim there's like nothing there, there's nothing left,
- 1:41:30Speaker 9: and like you can just go like it's it's a museum,
- 1:41:33Speaker 9: oh like things from the Passion.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: And you just walk through there.
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: So the gallery in mall twenty percent of closed. We're
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: walking around, we're still in a good time or whatever,
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: and we're gonna go to the Red Robin. And my
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: mother in law she's like, oh, we should you know,
- 1:41:46Speaker 3: I want to go to Red Lobster. Oh, And she
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: and I are the only ones who like seafood. Everybody
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: else is like, fuck, I don't want to go to
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: Red Lobster. And so I'm like, I'll do whatever you
- 1:41:56Speaker 3: guys want to do. My mother in law is like, no,
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: we're fucking doing this. We're going to Red lobs. I'm
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: never near a Red Lobster.
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: This is happening.
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: So she rallies the troops. She brings us all the
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: Red Lobster. We get there and it's dude, this is
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me at a restaurant.
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: It was so strange.
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: So we order our food.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: Everybody's chill. We get the Cheddar biscuits, always a solid
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: move at the Red Lobster. Love me some chatter biscuits.
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: So we're chilling. We're getting Cheddar biscuits.
- 1:42:23Speaker 3: It's about forty five minutes later after we've ordered, it's like, man,
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: it's starting to be a while here.
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: You're like, we should look for a wager a waitress
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: and then you never see them and you're like, another fifty.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: So I'm like this is taken forever. So the waiter
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: we can kind of wave them down. How long did
- 1:42:41Speaker 3: you about forty five minutes after ordering? So we've gotten there,
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: We've gotten our cheddar biscuits. We're about forty five to
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: an hour. It's it's bumping up to an hour now
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: after ordering. It's like this is starting to get a
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: little long, like it's late at night, come on much
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: longer to The place is empty, by the way, Red
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: Lobster is empty. But they put us like we had
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: a big parties. They put us far away.
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: Minutes I'm going, like, what's going on? We're doing?
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: Yeah, So they put us far away and it's an
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: empty building, but like we had a big parties. They
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: put us really far and like they barely check on us.
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: So then the waiter comes out and he's like, how's
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: it going, guys? Can I get you some some drinks?
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: Like yeah, what's going on? And he goes, oh yeah,
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: let me go check on that. So then okay, he
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: comes out, he's got a couple of our plates, got
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: my meal and I think my son's meal and he
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: puts them down. He's like, hey, be careful with those
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: those bowls, those plates, they're really hot. No, you know
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: where this is going. And I'm like, I was a
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: waiter for a little while, explained to Whitney. So when
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: when they're like, why would the bowl be hot, it
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: came out of the oven, like you to.
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: So Whitney's from Texas.
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: Ye, if you go to a Mexican restaurant in Texas,
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: they bring you the plates out and they say, watch out,
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: it's a hot plates hot because they put it's a fata,
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: they put a sizzling fucking skill starting.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: And putting the plate in the oven. Nope, it's under
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: the heat lamp. So whenever, So mine was pasta. I
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: just had pasta with crab. My son had a steak
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: and lobster. And the plates should not be hot.
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: The only reason the plates would be hot is if
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: they sat under heat lamp for a long time. So
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: we know that they've been sitting there for a while
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: because this thing is boiling, so like what the fuck?
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: And then my pasta is like congealed because it's like
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: it's like an alfredo.
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: I was already gonna say, I you had, and.
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: I'm looking at it. It's like clearly congealed, and I'm like, oh,
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: this is shady. So then the waiter goes back to
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: get the rest. The manager comes out and he says, already.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: Three I was.
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: I was carrying out three of your meals just now
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: and I dropped them all and they're all destroyed silently.
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: Yeah, So I'm like, the fuck you did?
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: Like this place is empty and we're sitting relatively close
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: to the kitchen, and he says, I was carrying a tray,
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: like weird that the manager needed to bring this to us.
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: There's nobody here. This waiter could have done it. He
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: brought us the first flight and then you can't what
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: the fuck? And he's like, yep, I'm responsible.
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: I did this.
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: I dropped three meals all at once. We're gonna have
- 1:45:15Speaker 3: to remake those, and I'm like, what the fuck. So
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: like then it like thirty minutes later the rest comes yeah,
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: so like half and half. So then the question comes
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: up of like should we so the meal's ruined, mine's
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: under the heat lamps. It's ridiculous. The other half of
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: our tables like getting their food, Like thirty minutes later.
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: The whole event is taking two and a half hours.
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: We've got some elders with us who are like about
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: to pass out there, like we're done with this. Then
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: it comes time to tip, and then I'm looking at
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: this thing and I'm like, fuck this guy, and others
- 1:45:51Speaker 3: in the table are like, yo, it's not his fault,
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: and I was like.
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: No, it is his fault. It is I think it is.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: My theory of the case is he didn't type in
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: the right meals, it didn't get made, happened, something happened,
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: and he asked the manager to come in and bite
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: the bullet to save his tip.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: That's my theory. So I tipped this dude like.
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: My angry nick's going to be you know, I'm not
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: going to make any of you happy, because Jacob's gonna
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: be like that's way too much. When He's probably also
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: gonna be like that's way too much, and it's gonna
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: be like, oh geez, but he's got a family.
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you think my angry tip is? Oh,
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like I think it was fifteen. Yeah,
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: it was sixteen. That was my angry tip. I'm my
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: daughters are you're not going to tip him at all.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: I'm like, well, you know, it's the holidays. I mean,
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: I don't know about that.
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: I've seen some pretty scary movies about it, snubbing people
- 1:46:50Speaker 3: are on the holidays to.
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: Ten and be like, just tell me the truth, ye
- 1:46:55Speaker 4: tell me the truth. I forgot to put your order in.
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: Yeah I would. I don't know.
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: I don't. I'd be pretty angry.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: Either.
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: Come out and here's what I want you to tell me,
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: because I want you to come out and I want
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: to say, hey, I forgot to put the order in.
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: I fucked that up.
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: Two options. Do you want me to still put the
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: orderingcuse don't put it in right now and I will
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: put a rush on it and we'll get it out
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: as fast as we can. Or appetizer or do you
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: want to like do something else right?
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: I mean, I give them the option, like, do you
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: want to go somewhere else? You want to go to McDonald's.
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: Do you want to go away? Do you want me
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: to just bring out a couple of appetizers and you
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: guys can share those appetizers and do it that way
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: instead of having If you want me to put it
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: in now, it'll be ready in fifteen minutes, and yeah,
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: that's it. But come out and give me the heads up.
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: Somebody who forgot to put the order in is a
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: new person and you need to just own that ship
- 1:47:44Speaker 4: as someone who has weighted tables. You need to just
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: go out and do that.
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: Yeeah.
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that's my opinion.
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: So sixteen was furious tip. I mean yeah, because the
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: thing that bothers me is the obvious lie. The lie. Yeah,
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: I drop a whole tray of meals, Like we didn't
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: hear a word. As I'm playing this.
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: Through and I'm imagining myself in this situation. As the
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: manager walks away, I get it from the table, I
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: chase him down. Yeah, and just hey, just between us,
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: just tell me what happened to me and you, because
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: I'm not stupid.
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: Come, this is dumb. This is really dumb.
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: Yeah, no, no clatter, It didn't make any sense. So yeah,
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: but it definitely brought me back to Jacob's story about tipping,
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: because I was like, you know what, it's all very relevant.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: I mean, are you talking about just like getting like
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: deliveries and stuff.
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: So the day before Friday, I ordered pizza. They forgot
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: half my order. The guy had to go back and
- 1:48:43Speaker 3: get it.
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: And it was one of those moments where.
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: I had already delivered.
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: I go pick what do you go?
- 1:48:47Speaker 4: Pick it up?
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: Pick up? Very lady, what is wrong with you?
- 1:48:52Speaker 4: I had twice in the last five years.
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: I l a place. Well, that's fucking yeah. The rest
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: of us don't live in a pizza place.
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: You desert.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: So that's Whitney lives in a pizza hut, a pizza slash.
- 1:49:11Speaker 4: Laundry nearby, and I will go pick that.
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: Sh I.
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: Anyway, I wouldn't deliver it if it's walking distance, but yeah, anyway,
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: So this was very very relevant to my life. But
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: Merry Christmas, and now it's time, I think for glorious
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: battle to the a fucks the airing of grievances. We
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: are going to take a quick break and when we
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: come back, it's time for the annual PhD Duel.
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: You are still listening to pot Therapy, Thanks everybody.
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: Today's episode is brought to you by our therap producer,
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: how Gonna Give You Named by Memory No Robert Brownder,
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: Judah Schneider, Myra obviously go to patreon dot com slash
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: therapy and sign.
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: I think we get I'll put you between the two
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: of us.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: We can get most of them Macy obviously, Carolyn Albert,
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: and we can get a lot of these.
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we can get so many. Three we go, we've
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: got a screen. So we got a Jeopardy style Do
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: you know what this is? Jump?
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: Yeah, so let me I'll explain it. And I'd also
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: like to explain the change of the rules. So we
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: have a Jeopardy style game. So Jacob, you want to
- 1:50:15Speaker 3: tell it to set four teams and you can just
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: type our names whenever you set the teams. So we've
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: got Jeopardy style. We've got five categories. You can pick
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: a category and you can pick between one and five hundred.
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: But the rules have changed.
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: You have to wipe out the lower numbers before you
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: can move to the higher numbers. Because yeah, that way
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: keeps it interesting, keeps it competitive. So we've got to
- 1:50:33Speaker 3: start at the low. We got to work our way up.
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: And we've got five categories, which are our listeners at
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: Discord have made I'm moving up there, I'm where my
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: glasses do I know? So we've got five categories that
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: em of the Intern and her many Discord minions have
- 1:50:50Speaker 3: put together. So the five categories are NCEE Test Prep,
- 1:50:55Speaker 3: which is the National Counselor Examination, the one that Jacob
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: keeps acing. She put five questions of nce test prep perfect.
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: She put five questions related to not getting reported for
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: losing a license.
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: He says, don't get reported.
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: And since this is a PhD test, she felt there
- 1:51:12Speaker 3: should be PhD questions. So there's tats and methods statics,
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: which I'm honestly fucked on. Yeah, go ahead, that's gonna
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: get them before I do. There's a five questions in
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: the category of personal training, because she said in the discourse,
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: she said, look, I thought you guys were each putting
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: up something on this thing supposed to be some skin
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: in the game.
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: A wedding ring. Nixli'll put up his personal training for
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: some reason, I'm the only one putting anything up. I'm putting.
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: And so there's a personal training category. And then lastly
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: there is five questions regarding wedding rings. And so we've
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: got all of our categories. But the rules are you
- 1:51:49Speaker 3: got to start the one hundred level, you gotta work
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: your way around. So how do we decide who goes first? Well,
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: I think they're defending champion.
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: I typed I typed in the names already, and I
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: have Jimmy, Nikki Whitney and Jacoby.
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: Okay, okay, and Jacoby Jacoby Okay? May I go Jimmy first?
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: All right, Well, let me go ahead and get wedding
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: rings for one hundred. I feel good about that. If
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: you would be our reader the.
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: Ring style that's basically one center stone. No ento, roge,
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. What he's gonna fuck us up? Guys? Do
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: you know what you have to buy? Goddamn ring? I
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: don't know what the fuck do we do?
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: No?
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: I have to answer it. That's my question.
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: And then if I lose it, I get minus one hundred,
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: and if I get it, I get one hundred.
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: Do we okay?
- 1:52:34Speaker 3: Before we start? Can you pass on questions?
- 1:52:39Speaker 1: Pass? Yes?
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna pass. I just know I'm gonna take
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: minus one hundred goes to the next person in line.
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: But do we wait a minute? Hold on? How's that
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: gonna work?
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: So when you get a question, if you get it wrong,
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: you'll click, you'll reveal the answer, and then you'll click
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: on our name. You can see plus minus You'll click
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: minus and it will drop us one hundred or drop us.
- 1:52:58Speaker 3: Whatever the amount is if you get it right, is plus.
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: Okay, So here's I think we should do that. I
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: think if we pass, you should drop the amount of point. Well,
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: then I'm gonna take a guess.
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: Then take a guess.
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: Well, then what's the strategic value of passing?
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: You can make other people lose points.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: But then now you don't get to answer the question. Oh,
- 1:53:14Speaker 2: I see what your point is. Okay, So who's next
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: on the list?
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: Nikki is next on the list. Now he'll get it,
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: all right? Fuck him. I'm gonna just take a negative.
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you any of us will get it.
- 1:53:24Speaker 3: The ring style, that's basically one center stone, no entourage.
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: The fuck is an entourage?
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: I thought that was a show. Uh sing uh, engagement ring, singularity.
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: See if it's engagement ring, what's the answer? Solitary? Damn it?
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: Give me so click on my name and minus it
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: and then continue. He hit escape. Yep, and there you
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: go back to the board, Nick, the board is yours.
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: Let's do stats and methods. This validity type is about
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: weather results generalize beyond your sample. Jesus Christ. It's about
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: the results generalized beyond your sample. Jesus, do you know this.
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: I don't know this. He doesn't know this.
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: Validity type very valid. I think that's a results generalize beyond.
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: Yours is going to really upset me. I love.
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: All the nerds that are listening to this are screaming it.
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: I promise you is fucking screaming at his phone right now.
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: Ni has taken a minus. No, it's not Whitney. It
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: goes to you. Are you passing on it? Okay, you
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: passed to Whitney.
- 1:54:44Speaker 4: My guess was outlayer, but Nick said, it's not.
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: That about whether it will take the guess. Okay, she's
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: taking a shot.
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: Extreme validity. Damn it. I couldn't find the.
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: Words for I love Emma's confidence in us to know
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: ships and how.
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: She's learning right now. Point question I'm avoiding that is
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: this from my doctorate? Dude? This is bad.
- 1:55:14Speaker 4: Who's with the test prep? Let's hear what the that's wrong?
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: Honestly, the counseling skill where you reflect the client's meaning
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: and feelings back to the fuck you, is that reflecting?
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: It probably should be right, reflecting, reflective, listening, reflection give
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: her a negative, so just give her free reflection. She's
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: got to earn it.
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: We gave her the points. Did you really take away point?
- 1:55:45Speaker 7: Yeah, we're doing never mind, it's me now, don't get reported.
- 1:55:55Speaker 7: The concept thinks anything. The concept people think means my
- 1:55:58Speaker 7: therapist can never be forced to talk.
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: Uh shut up. Jesus Christ fucking handed to him. You
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: didn't give you any favors. I would say doctor patient
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: confidentiality or hippa. All right, I'll give you either of those,
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: confident not doctor confident points.
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: Round one is over, Jacob. What are the scores at
- 1:56:25Speaker 2: the end of round one? What are our scores? Negative
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: one hundred, negative one hundred for Nick neggive two hundred
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: for Nick. I waitually, that feels like we're just gonna
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: do negative one hundred for Whitney and then I have
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: I have positive one.
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. All right, I guess I'll take personal training one.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: Damn it. The new tree category that includes amino acids
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: as building blocks proteins that read you back to zero.
- 1:57:01Speaker 3: How can I was for Oh, yeah, it's one hundred points,
- 1:57:04Speaker 3: all right.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: I thought it was a two hundred point question. I
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: was really excited. It's fine, isn't it. That's it's time
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: for Dicky. I'm gonna do personal training two hundred. All right,
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: gradually increasing training demand over time is called this.
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: Your time is tolerance. I'm sorry, your time is definitely
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: a tolerance progressive overload. What the fuck progressive overload?
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry word in the form of a question and
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: minus two hundred. I think it's fuck dude again to
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: lead any of these Whitney wedding rings bitch in the
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: four seas. This one is most associated with sparkle and brightness.
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: It's crazy, chronic, or ulsive. Forget.
- 1:58:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna say clarity because I can't remember the other ones.
- 1:58:06Speaker 4: You don't idiot cut, clarity misspelled cut, and I don't
- 1:58:14Speaker 4: remember the fourth.
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:58:16Speaker 4: Wow, I'm shock.
- 1:58:18Speaker 1: Cion there it is like that. Oh it's me. I'll
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: try Jesus well, so I'm terrified of everything else on
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: this board. Now I'll try wedding rings for three.
- 1:58:29Speaker 3: You got to clear the three. You gotta clear the
- 1:58:31Speaker 3: two hundreds. That's the agreement we made at the beginning
- 1:58:34Speaker 3: of the rule on the category. Okay, alright, I'll agree
- 1:58:39Speaker 3: get ahead on the number.
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: That's fine, that's fine. When white gold looks extra white,
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: it's often coated with this the skin of infants. Yeah,
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: it is the witness. Wow, it's a family show.
- 1:58:55Speaker 3: Wow extra, Let's see. I think old looks extra. Actually,
- 1:59:03Speaker 3: I'm going to say, you make white gold?
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: What ladio? Whoa? All right? Read it out? Read it out?
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: No, I don't get that. It's clearly a different thing.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: She No, I said, palladium radium or roodium plating.
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: How you say that? You think? All right?
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: A little bit of minus there for Jacob bringing him
- 1:59:28Speaker 3: back down to earth. I like that, all right, Jimmy
- 1:59:32Speaker 3: Jesus Christ, give me that n C test. Feel like
- 1:59:35Speaker 3: that's my best category.
- 1:59:38Speaker 1: The term for therapists and clients co creating meaning rather
- 1:59:41Speaker 1: than therapist delivering truth delivering is in quotes, non directive therapy. Jesus, Oh,
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry, it's collaborative meaning making.
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: Idiots.
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: You greatly overestimated our abilities, especially after an entire Christmas
- 2:00:03Speaker 3: party of drinking whiskey.
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: What the fun is mine? Do you keep thinking you're next?
- 2:00:10Speaker 2: This is what you'll get?
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: Will make this noreave? Is what you'll get?
- 2:00:15Speaker 2: Is so bad?
- 2:00:16Speaker 1: Personal training three hundred. No, he's got it. He's got
- 2:00:19Speaker 1: a lane, the primary muscle responsible for hip extension and
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: movements like dead lifts and bridges. Glutes. No, geez, I'm sorry,
- 2:00:28Speaker 1: it's maximus. No point no hold on points, hold on.
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: I said the glutes, which is a complex of muscles
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: which includes the gluteus maximus.
- 2:00:38Speaker 4: Oh, I could have said the body because I had
- 2:00:41Speaker 4: the same word.
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: You probably let me, Jacob.
- 2:00:44Speaker 2: We're just gonna We're gonna go to the judges. I'm
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: getting word from the judges.
- 2:00:47Speaker 1: Okay, no.
- 2:00:52Speaker 4: One's winning.
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: Apparently no one's gonna win. Yeah, the game to the bottom.
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: Here's the golf.
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: Jacob's winning. And that's how it was going on.
- 2:01:03Speaker 1: I hate to say this. I'm on gym side now,
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: whoa Okay, I don't even know. Ethically ending or transferring
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: services requires avoiding this. Don't have sex, don't sex the car,
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: the patients genital You.
- 2:01:23Speaker 4: Should not have had that whiskey. Ethically ending or transferring
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: services requires avoiding.
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: Ethical ending or transferring services.
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: Bag pretending cocaine on the floor, the patient. I don't
- 2:01:41Speaker 1: even know that it was unethical.
- 2:01:42Speaker 4: It was hilarious avoiding them. If you can't take a
- 2:01:46Speaker 4: joke negative, Ethically, ending or transferring services requires avoiding.
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: I'm not helping you, uh r O I avoiding member,
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: you can pass. Oh, yeah, pass it, you coward. If
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: you pass, you lose points. That's right.
- 2:02:04Speaker 3: You're trying to hand a bomb to somebody else, that's right.
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: Like this is infinite answers. Yeah, like you're it's only
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: the ones you want to avoid.
- 2:02:13Speaker 3: Ethically, ending or transferring services requires avoiding confrontation.
- 2:02:22Speaker 2: Abandonment that does make more sense than confrontation.
- 2:02:29Speaker 1: We are so close. I feel like you're really close
- 2:02:31Speaker 1: to getting that Whitney. Is that the end of a round?
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: What are the scores? The scores are? Let's see, Jim,
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: Nick and Jacob are all tied at negative two hundred.
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: Whitney is in the losing outside of this bracket a
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: negative five hundred. But there's plenty more game to go,
- 2:02:45Speaker 1: and maybe even two daily doubles. I don't know. I
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: didn't build this game. I am going to be I'm
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: going don't get reported for three hundred? Is it you?
- 2:02:55Speaker 1: I'm after Whitney? Oh okay. A sub poenic can demand records,
- 2:02:59Speaker 1: but this typically has stronger authority to compel disclosure and
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: may override refusal depending on jurisdiction. Demands typically has stronger
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: authority to compel disclosure and may override refusal yeah, uh,
- 2:03:16Speaker 1: something different that we are we saying that a court
- 2:03:19Speaker 1: order is different than a subpoena. A court order is
- 2:03:22Speaker 1: different than a subpoena.
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: You're helping Okay, he didn't do you any favors, but
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: you're right, why why are you helping him?
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: He's all of us right now?
- 2:03:33Speaker 4: You and I are currently tie, so you're helping him.
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll say a court order. I feel like that's right. Yeah,
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: you need the other one. All you need is one,
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: and you just jumped to the zero right now, and
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: he's just one hundred. Jimmy Jesus Christ, I'm not coming
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: back Christmas.
- 2:04:01Speaker 3: So all right, let me discuss my game period. I've
- 2:04:04Speaker 3: got I've got stats and method two hundred available. I'm
- 2:04:07Speaker 3: thinking about it because I think I should take the
- 2:04:10Speaker 3: because I'll lose less points if I take that one.
- 2:04:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna get hurt no matter what. Let me go
- 2:04:16Speaker 3: with don't get reported for four. This could be a shock.
- 2:04:20Speaker 1: The principle that covers truthful, liss and accurate representation, including
- 2:04:24Speaker 1: credential scope and what treatment can realistically do. The princip
- 2:04:31Speaker 1: that covers Jesus principle mcgovert.
- 2:04:34Speaker 3: So you think about the ethical code. There's beneficence, I
- 2:04:38Speaker 3: mean accuracy ethics. You said there's like a code of
- 2:04:43Speaker 3: principles at the top of the ethical code. There's like
- 2:04:46Speaker 3: non moleficence, beneficence, autonomy, the principle that covers truthfulness.
- 2:04:54Speaker 1: Order, which is different. It's a different thing. Oh my god.
- 2:04:59Speaker 4: I mean I wanted to be the word scope of
- 2:05:02Speaker 4: practice should.
- 2:05:03Speaker 3: Probably right, But that doesn't sound like a principle.
- 2:05:05Speaker 4: It says including credential scope.
- 2:05:07Speaker 1: And what credential scope?
- 2:05:09Speaker 3: See the word scope or accasion. I want it to
- 2:05:11Speaker 3: be accuracy. But there's no fucking way that the word
- 2:05:14Speaker 3: accurate representation is in the question. There's no way the
- 2:05:18Speaker 3: principles truthfulness.
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: I was also thinking disclosure, maybe integrity.
- 2:05:23Speaker 3: No, it's not gonna accurate represent disclosure because you have to.
- 2:05:27Speaker 1: You have to know.
- 2:05:30Speaker 4: We're all against Jacob.
- 2:05:34Speaker 1: We're really all in this together. This guy's a monster.
- 2:05:38Speaker 1: Stop him, somebody Jacob.
- 2:05:42Speaker 4: Like click that one, Jacob, that one you can get
- 2:05:45Speaker 4: court order.
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: I feel like we need an answer, all right, I'm
- 2:05:47Speaker 2: going to pass. Oh, Jimmy taking the point loss is
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: that I.
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: Feel like if I send it around, I can make
- 2:05:53Speaker 1: all of you take the loss guess.
- 2:05:56Speaker 3: You get to take the loss, so you can pass
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: and take the loss, or you can guess and take
- 2:05:59Speaker 3: the law us. But if you take the loss, then
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: we can all share the pain. Share the pain. Make
- 2:06:05Speaker 3: him pass.
- 2:06:05Speaker 4: I'm already the losers, So go.
- 2:06:09Speaker 1: Yeah, pass, smart move, smart move. If we could pass
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: it around, what did we.
- 2:06:13Speaker 3: Say, girl, you're on your own.
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: I need you pass. I'm hoping you've got to pass
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: to No, don't give it. She passes as well. That
- 2:06:26Speaker 1: I guess I might as well. Guess it's like ethics.
- 2:06:29Speaker 1: There's no way forrass.
- 2:06:34Speaker 4: Good.
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: All right, So that worked for me. I'm really glad
- 2:06:36Speaker 1: I did that because you all took it with me. Good.
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, this game is so hard. Personal training
- 2:06:43Speaker 1: four hundred.
- 2:06:45Speaker 3: Fuck you Emma for not giving me a category. He
- 2:06:47Speaker 3: has personal training, what category do I have? Honestly, rings, you're.
- 2:06:52Speaker 1: Really good at court orders and a lot of court stuff.
- 2:06:58Speaker 1: This plane of motion includes movements like side lunges and
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: lateral raises. Frontal plane. It is the front o. My god,
- 2:07:08Speaker 1: apparently I'm the only one in here that knows their
- 2:07:11Speaker 1: own job. Any questions for me? There are things up
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: there for us. Whitneys two hundred, don't do it. The
- 2:07:24Speaker 1: value is the probability of results as extreme or more,
- 2:07:27Speaker 1: assuming this is true. Yeah, show us your P value.
- 2:07:30Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gon show you my value.
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: Do it.
- 2:07:33Speaker 3: Do it?
- 2:07:34Speaker 1: Girl, got to pay for that.
- 2:07:37Speaker 4: The P value is the probability of results as extreme
- 2:07:42Speaker 4: or more, assuming this is true.
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: Outline, that doesn't even work contextually. Isn't a P value
- 2:07:55Speaker 1: like a population?
- 2:07:56Speaker 3: I thought that was like the one or point one
- 2:07:58Speaker 3: probability of results.
- 2:08:00Speaker 1: It's the probability of results. It's in the questions. We
- 2:08:03Speaker 1: want to know what is true? Assuming what is true? Sample?
- 2:08:07Speaker 4: Assuming what? What's the question?
- 2:08:11Speaker 1: It's true?
- 2:08:12Speaker 3: Yeah, the P value will be the probability of results
- 2:08:15Speaker 3: if this other thing is true, probably like sample size.
- 2:08:18Speaker 2: I think it's I don't think it's sample size. So
- 2:08:21Speaker 2: it's your Your P value is basically your accuracy of.
- 2:08:29Speaker 3: That is you're assuming that's not true. As with the questions,
- 2:08:35Speaker 3: it can be extreme. It can be extreme P value.
- 2:08:38Speaker 3: I consider it modal. We need to know inches inches metric.
- 2:08:46Speaker 1: Hold on, but hold on. We need to know. We
- 2:08:49Speaker 1: need to know the base of your starting point. It's
- 2:08:53Speaker 1: my ankles. My base. Life is definitely.
- 2:09:02Speaker 4: Damn Okay, Emma, what have you done That's going.
- 2:09:04Speaker 1: To be bad going to Jesus?
- 2:09:08Speaker 2: Is it me?
- 2:09:09Speaker 1: I guess it's me. I don't know. I feel like
- 2:09:14Speaker 1: your wedding rings for four four hundred? Oh halo style?
- 2:09:20Speaker 1: What around the center stone?
- 2:09:23Speaker 4: Got it wrong?
- 2:09:24Speaker 1: All right? Read it again?
- 2:09:25Speaker 2: The halo style does what around a center Swinney is
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: raising her hand. Go ahead, Whitney's you got.
- 2:09:34Speaker 4: Unless you say pass?
- 2:09:37Speaker 2: Well, I would have to say pass four times. I
- 2:09:41Speaker 2: believe it is a ring of diamonds around a center stone,
- 2:09:47Speaker 2: making a halo of diamonds around that stone.
- 2:09:50Speaker 3: Small small, smaller halo style?
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: What is surrounds it with a circle of smaller stone?
- 2:09:59Speaker 1: I didn't hear, sir. Let's discuss. Let's discuss grand jury. Yeah,
- 2:10:04Speaker 1: I think you got it me.
- 2:10:06Speaker 4: I'm going to give it to you, but you should
- 2:10:07Speaker 4: give me the other one that.
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: I also think Nick should have gotten Max.
- 2:10:12Speaker 4: And I get the other one some negative five thousands?
- 2:10:16Speaker 1: Is it mean? Dude, I'm so fucked. Give me the
- 2:10:19Speaker 1: n C test for three hundred and CBT thoughts, feelings,
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: and behaviors are often described as this, God damn it.
- 2:10:27Speaker 3: It's either going to be the triangle or it's gonna
- 2:10:28Speaker 3: be cognitive distortions, and.
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: Give me the trying the cognitive triangle.
- 2:10:36Speaker 4: Cognitive, I get that cognitive.
- 2:10:38Speaker 2: Give me a break, Nigi, let's keep it going. Personal
- 2:10:43Speaker 2: training five hundred.
- 2:10:44Speaker 1: Fuck you. Let's say I'm an emma. Why'd you give
- 2:10:46Speaker 1: him a category for a hard sixty to ninety second effort?
- 2:10:49Speaker 1: The dominant energy pathway is typically this dominants energy. The
- 2:10:55Speaker 1: T there it is, that is the pathway. It's the
- 2:10:59Speaker 1: a et Jesus.
- 2:11:01Speaker 3: You can go sixteen to ninety seconds, but only wow,
- 2:11:05Speaker 3: like difficult, like at heart level.
- 2:11:07Speaker 1: I mean I can hang from it.
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, let's just say your mom, the band showed.
- 2:11:14Speaker 4: Me how to that, mom, I know intensity interval.
- 2:11:19Speaker 1: Shut up and stop giving him things.
- 2:11:21Speaker 2: He's literally kicking. It's what's fueling your your energy. It's
- 2:11:25Speaker 2: the APT APT system. Remember the actual name of it.
- 2:11:29Speaker 2: But APT is in there?
- 2:11:30Speaker 1: Go for APT. Isn't it anaerobic? Like a P T,
- 2:11:36Speaker 1: which like if the letter P isn't there any where?
- 2:11:39Speaker 4: You got one of those letters, good job, because.
- 2:11:43Speaker 1: The letter A is in there and the letter T
- 2:11:44Speaker 1: is in there. But I'm sorry, Nick, there is no
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: P is This A is at the end of a round.
- 2:11:49Speaker 1: Can we get a points update because I can't see this.
- 2:11:52Speaker 2: Points are Jimmy has negative three hundred. Dick he has
- 2:11:54Speaker 2: negative seven hundred, Whitney has negative eleven hundred.
- 2:11:56Speaker 1: I have one hundred. I'm in the lead.
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: No, that's not how any of those secondary?
- 2:12:01Speaker 4: Can I do wedding rings? Five hundred?
- 2:12:02Speaker 1: If I know this could be?
- 2:12:04Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna go away.
- 2:12:05Speaker 1: Eighteen carrot gold? Is this percentage pure goal?
- 2:12:10Speaker 2: Wow?
- 2:12:10Speaker 3: Dude, that's the work. I mean, what is pure gold?
- 2:12:15Speaker 3: This question is for Think of that O Mars song.
- 2:12:19Speaker 1: Forty two Carrot Magic in the.
- 2:12:24Speaker 4: Do So Player.
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: I'll watch out. Oh great, now we owe Bruno Mars money.
- 2:12:29Speaker 1: Thank you, bro.
- 2:12:30Speaker 2: I'm into Bruno Mars so much you don't even know.
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: Trust me, He's gonna put it on my tab. An't
- 2:12:36Speaker 2: worry about about it.
- 2:12:37Speaker 1: Nothing. That What jim just did is recognizeble.
- 2:12:39Speaker 4: I mean to go all out and I know I'm wrong,
- 2:12:41Speaker 4: but I don't have a better guess. So one hundred, one.
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: Hundred percent I'm sorry. Seventy five percent? Wow?
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: So does that mean twenty four carrot gold is one
- 2:12:51Speaker 3: hundred percent?
- 2:12:52Speaker 1: Oh?
- 2:12:52Speaker 4: I didn't think.
- 2:12:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's me.
- 2:12:57Speaker 4: I'll try to show you what my wedding rings were.
- 2:12:59Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:13:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:13:05Speaker 1: This validity type is about whether results generalize generalized beyond
- 2:13:09Speaker 1: your sample. Goddamn. This validity type is about whether results
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: generalize beyond your sample. There was another validity type we
- 2:13:17Speaker 1: did a second ago. I'm going to pass. That's the
- 2:13:21Speaker 1: same question, repeated. Yeah, it seems right, So where's it going?
- 2:13:25Speaker 4: It's Jim and me?
- 2:13:27Speaker 1: What that's not? We haven't had that question. Who's Who's
- 2:13:29Speaker 1: it mean? We already give the question. Don't make it me, Ship.
- 2:13:34Speaker 3: This validity type is about weather resultsthesis general.
- 2:13:39Speaker 1: Now that's not it.
- 2:13:40Speaker 3: Solidity type is about weather results generalize beyond your sample.
- 2:13:46Speaker 3: So it's like application validity, external journal validity.
- 2:13:53Speaker 4: It's beyond that's externally beyond.
- 2:13:56Speaker 1: I'm going to pass. That passes the NIK external validity.
- 2:14:02Speaker 4: God, I am losing this game because I'm not picking.
- 2:14:06Speaker 1: The why do you give him answers?
- 2:14:08Speaker 4: I gave you the answer and you didn't say it.
- 2:14:10Speaker 1: I don't trust you because question.
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: That is not.
- 2:14:15Speaker 4: And you get to lose because Ship give me.
- 2:14:17Speaker 1: N C for four. That was my question.
- 2:14:19Speaker 3: Yeah, he passed to me, and I passed to you.
- 2:14:21Speaker 3: I'll take n c four.
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: This concept evolved from therapist issue contaminating treatment to potentially
- 2:14:29Speaker 2: meaningful interpretation signal if managed ethically through reflection, consultation, and boundaries.
- 2:14:34Speaker 3: Right, Uh, it's either going to be it's gonna be
- 2:14:37Speaker 3: transference or counter transference. So the concept evolved from therapist
- 2:14:40Speaker 3: issue contaminating treatment to potentially meaningful interpersonal signal if managed
- 2:14:45Speaker 3: ethically through reflect So, if it's the therapist, it's counter transfer.
- 2:14:51Speaker 3: Give me counter transference. Fuck, yes, it's counter transfer. Oh
- 2:14:56Speaker 3: give me them bad points, baby, Just stick me out
- 2:14:59Speaker 3: of this fucking hole. On then, Nikki, you're all out
- 2:15:03Speaker 3: of personal training? Bit reported or stats and methods? Have
- 2:15:06Speaker 3: you not been giving him any points for all the
- 2:15:08Speaker 3: personal trainings? How is he negative? Like a grand he's
- 2:15:11Speaker 3: negative four hundred? How much am I in the second place?
- 2:15:14Speaker 3: What am I at negative two hundred? What are you
- 2:15:16Speaker 3: at also negative two hundred?
- 2:15:18Speaker 6: Oh?
- 2:15:18Speaker 1: Okay, fuck? Because I lost points on the one that
- 2:15:22Speaker 1: I had to pass second agoy.
- 2:15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, well I can lose the least with that's honestly
- 2:15:28Speaker 2: the Yeah, that's why I took fives that are going
- 2:15:31Speaker 2: to kill you, Dudeyeah, you're gonna win by a Honda
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: a Type.
- 2:15:36Speaker 1: One error is concluding there's an effect when there isn't.
- 2:15:39Speaker 1: Also called this, Oh shit, Oh no, what should be
- 2:15:44Speaker 1: a type two error?
- 2:15:45Speaker 4: Oh?
- 2:15:46Speaker 1: Man gold a false positive? Let's try? Oh what is
- 2:15:53Speaker 1: my god other fucking positive?
- 2:15:59Speaker 2: The damn dude, I think you just jump.
- 2:16:03Speaker 1: I don't owe any money.
- 2:16:06Speaker 3: You realized the American dream bro a net worth of zero.
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: It's incredible so far with three questions left, Nikki is
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: winning the doctorate? Or what are the scores? Give us?
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: With three questions left for five hundred in the lead
- 2:16:20Speaker 1: with zero points, Jacob and Jimmy are Jacob b and
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: Jimmy are both tied with two hundred points below zero. Okay,
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: And I'm afraid Whitney is in trouble with a negative
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: sixteen hundred points. Okay, So it's it's anybody's game except Whitney.
- 2:16:35Speaker 1: Got it? Okay, got it? Got it? This all comes
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: down to this. Yeah, she just here to railroad people.
- 2:16:42Speaker 1: Now one of us. Test prep don't get reported, or
- 2:16:46Speaker 1: stats and methods.
- 2:16:47Speaker 4: Don't get reported. I know I'm stealing it from you.
- 2:16:51Speaker 4: I'm going to answer it because I don't give a fuck.
- 2:16:53Speaker 1: The ethical landmine where a nice gesture quote unquote, can
- 2:16:57Speaker 1: become coercive, create expectation, shift the power.
- 2:17:01Speaker 3: Dynamic, ethical land mine, nice gesture becomes coercive. So wait,
- 2:17:09Speaker 3: I'm not allowed to sleep with patience. The nice gesture
- 2:17:13Speaker 3: of the nice gesture is the vigorous sex prostate.
- 2:17:17Speaker 4: Bill Katon gift gift giving.
- 2:17:20Speaker 3: Nice tasteful French kiss gift giving is Whitney's answer.
- 2:17:25Speaker 1: That is, oh, gift is in there?
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: I mean, what do you think boundary violation, ethical gift
- 2:17:33Speaker 2: or benefit?
- 2:17:34Speaker 1: You know what, it doesn't matter.
- 2:17:35Speaker 4: Give give her five hundred because I get the other
- 2:17:39Speaker 4: one hundred.
- 2:17:39Speaker 3: Whitney, we gave it to you. Jesus Christ, let it go.
- 2:17:43Speaker 3: You have You're now minus one hundred.
- 2:17:46Speaker 9: I just.
- 2:17:48Speaker 1: That method. This is it, and watch I know her
- 2:17:51Speaker 1: so far. Let's see here.
- 2:17:54Speaker 2: This is it.
- 2:17:54Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna go test prep. Dude, are you serious?
- 2:17:57Speaker 1: Fuck you for leaving? Was a ship?
- 2:18:02Speaker 2: This term means does the measure actually capture what it
- 2:18:08Speaker 2: claims to measure?
- 2:18:09Speaker 1: Nick? Do you know it?
- 2:18:11Speaker 2: Does the does the measure actually capture what it claims
- 2:18:15Speaker 2: to measure?
- 2:18:15Speaker 6: Oh?
- 2:18:16Speaker 1: Ship? Yep? God damn it. I mean, oh man, I
- 2:18:23Speaker 1: don't know anything about this. I don't know why my
- 2:18:25Speaker 1: doctorate is getting put on the line on a test
- 2:18:27Speaker 1: that was clearly made with nothing that I should know.
- 2:18:31Speaker 1: But I'll say accuracy. Great, Yeah, I would have gotten
- 2:18:40Speaker 1: it to Ship. I was hoping he'd pass on that.
- 2:18:45Speaker 4: This is it.
- 2:18:46Speaker 1: It's five hundred control my own destiny. Controlling for a
- 2:18:55Speaker 1: baseline covariant while comparing group while comparing groups means welcome
- 2:19:00Speaker 1: to this analysis.
- 2:19:03Speaker 3: Controlling for a baseline co variate while comparing groups, it
- 2:19:12Speaker 3: just says group, but groups, welcome to this analysis.
- 2:19:16Speaker 4: You have a baseline covariate while comparing groups. You need
- 2:19:19Speaker 4: a baseline.
- 2:19:23Speaker 3: Ship, buddy, I so right now, Nickson the lead, right, correct,
- 2:19:29Speaker 3: and you and I are tied. An if I pass,
- 2:19:32Speaker 3: who does it go to?
- 2:19:36Speaker 1: Okay, well Jim loses those points.
- 2:19:37Speaker 3: Wait, no, nevermind, I have to take a sh I'm
- 2:19:39Speaker 3: gon take I'm just gonna take a show. Controlling for
- 2:19:42Speaker 3: a baseline co variate. Can I take a guess while
- 2:19:46Speaker 3: comparing groups? Baseline covariate while comparing groups means welcome to
- 2:19:52Speaker 3: this analysis.
- 2:19:57Speaker 2: Multi factorial analysis, I think a analysis of variance.
- 2:20:01Speaker 1: Oh god, you're both wrong. I'm sorry.
- 2:20:03Speaker 4: Well I think Nick might so Jacob.
- 2:20:06Speaker 1: Look up. What I think Nick might be is analysis
- 2:20:13Speaker 1: analysis of covariance. I think he's got it.
- 2:20:18Speaker 4: I was going to say. I was like, I think
- 2:20:19Speaker 4: that's right, and.
- 2:20:22Speaker 3: COVA and a n c O b als of covariance.
- 2:20:29Speaker 1: You guys have to talk. It's it's okay.
- 2:20:31Speaker 3: Sorry, sorry, sorry, I think we're all running to our
- 2:20:34Speaker 3: chat GPTs.
- 2:20:36Speaker 4: I'm not. I'm gonna.
- 2:20:38Speaker 1: You guys talk. I'm doing the thing. We don't all
- 2:20:41Speaker 1: have to look at that, buddy.
- 2:20:42Speaker 3: We don't trust you for spence.
- 2:20:48Speaker 1: He said analysis of con said that before, and I'm sorry.
- 2:20:52Speaker 1: It is analysis of covariance.
- 2:20:56Speaker 4: You didn't say that. That's what I said, he said,
- 2:21:01Speaker 4: because I would have seen that first, and you did
- 2:21:03Speaker 4: not say that.
- 2:21:03Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Nick also lost points on this one because
- 2:21:07Speaker 1: he said the wrong thing twice, so he lost two
- 2:21:09Speaker 1: points insisting and he won. And I'm afraid that is
- 2:21:16Speaker 1: the game.
- 2:21:17Speaker 2: Jacob Williams got seven hundred points.
- 2:21:21Speaker 1: Nick is in the second place.
- 2:21:22Speaker 2: Congratulations Nick for the negative one thousand points this check Whitney,
- 2:21:28Speaker 2: congratulations negative eleven hundred points. Third place.
- 2:21:32Speaker 1: Welcome to Trump's America. Jimmy fourth place. It's hard.
- 2:21:37Speaker 2: He will be hanging his new diploma new certificate up
- 2:21:44Speaker 2: of two out of forty.
- 2:21:47Speaker 4: Are welcome and he.
- 2:21:48Speaker 1: Will be posting a picture of that on the discord.
