- 0:00The deepest question I have ever been asked in 30 years of
- 0:03teaching is this one. Can I really change how another
- 0:07person sees me? Can my imagination truly reach
- 0:10across the space between two people and alter what they feel?
- 0:14I want to answer you directly, without hesitation.
- 0:17Yes, without question, without condition, without exception.
- 0:21And I will tell you precisely why this is true.
- 0:24Not as a promise or an encouragement, but as a fact of
- 0:27consciousness that once you understand it, you will never be
- 0:30able to Unsee. Every person in your world is a
- 0:34reflection, not a metaphor, not a spiritual platitude, A literal
- 0:38reflection of the assumptions you hold about them and about
- 0:41yourself. The specific person you are
- 0:44thinking of right now, their silence, their distance, their
- 0:47confusion, their seeming inability to see what you know
- 0:51is possible between you is not evidence of their will operating
- 0:55independently of yours. It is evidence of your current
- 0:58assumption crystallized in the world before you.
- 1:01When you change the assumption, the reflection must change.
- 1:05It has no choice because you are imagination, and imagination
- 1:09creates reality. And I am going to show you
- 1:11exactly how to do this tonight. In these 30 minutes, I'm going
- 1:16to teach you the specific inner technique for assuming a
- 1:19particular person into your life as you desire them, not by
- 1:23manipulating them. That is not what this is.
- 1:26By changing yourself. By stepping into the state of
- 1:29the wishful fulfilled and holding it long enough for the
- 1:32world, including this person, to rearrange itself in accordance
- 1:36with your assumption. I have taught this principle to
- 1:39thousands. I have seen it work in
- 1:41circumstances that seemed utterly impossible.
- 1:44The person who had cut off all contact, the relationship that
- 1:48appeared definitively over the silence that had stretched for
- 1:52months or years. None of these conditions are as
- 1:55fixed as they appear. They are crystallizations of
- 1:58past assumptions and a a new assumption consistently held
- 2:02will crystallize a new reality. Everyone is you pushed out.
- 2:06Once you truly understand what this means, you will know
- 2:09exactly what to do. And tonight I will make sure you
- 2:12understand it. There is a principle I taught
- 2:15many times that confuses people when they first encounter it.
- 2:19I said everyone is you pushed out.
- 2:21What does this mean? It does not mean that other
- 2:24people are not real. It does not mean that you are
- 2:27alone in a hallucination. It means that the qualities,
- 2:30attitudes, and responses you consistently encounter in
- 2:34specific people are not independent of your
- 2:37consciousness. They are reflections of your
- 2:39assumptions about those people and about yourself in relation
- 2:43to them. Let me be precise about this,
- 2:46because it matters enormously for what we are going to do
- 2:49together. When you hold an assumption
- 2:51about a person, she has moved on.
- 2:53He no longer feels the way he did.
- 2:55They would never choose me. Now.
- 2:57That assumption does not stay inside your mind as a private
- 3:01thought. IT projects outward.
- 3:03It becomes the atmosphere of your relationship, and the other
- 3:06person, without any conscious awareness of what is happening,
- 3:10begins to act in ways that conform to your assumption.
- 3:14Not because they are puppets, but because consciousness is the
- 3:17medium in which all of this occurs, and in that medium, your
- 3:21assumptions about others literally shape what they are
- 3:24capable of showing you. This is what I mean by everyone
- 3:27is you pushed out. Not a dismissal of other
- 3:30people's reality, but a recognition that what you
- 3:33encounter in them is inseparable from what you hold about them
- 3:37within yourself. Now consider what this means for
- 3:40your situation, the specific person you want in your life.
- 3:44Perhaps they have gone silent. Perhaps the relationship ended
- 3:47and they have built distance between you.
- 3:50Perhaps you have never told them what you feel and from the
- 3:53outside it appears they have no idea.
- 3:56None of this is fixed. What is fixed?
- 3:59What is rigid is the assumption you currently carry about them,
- 4:03and that assumption is producing the reality you observe.
- 4:06The question then becomes, what if you change the assumption?
- 4:10What if instead of carrying the felt sense that this person is
- 4:13distant, gone, unaware, or unavailable, you began to
- 4:17inhabit the assumption of the opposite, not as wishful
- 4:21thinking, not as pretending, but as a deliberate, disciplined,
- 4:25practiced in a state. The answer is that the outer
- 4:28world, including this person, would begin to move.
- 4:32Circumstances would shift. What appeared impossible would
- 4:35begin to find its way to possible, not through any
- 4:38manipulation of the person, but through the natural
- 4:41crystallization of a new assumption In the world around
- 4:44you, I tell you from my own experience, consciousness is the
- 4:48only reality. The specific person is not an
- 4:52obstacle. The obstacle is always the
- 4:54assumption within yourself. And here is what this means.
- 4:57Practically, you do not need access to that them.
- 5:00You do not need their cooperation.
- 5:02You do not need the circumstances to improve before
- 5:05you begin. You only need to change the
- 5:07state you occupy, the felt, inhabited sense of who you are
- 5:11in relation to them. The state you occupy determines
- 5:14the world you see. Occupy the state of the person
- 5:17who is loved, chosen, wanted, connected, and that state will
- 5:21crystallize a world in which you are loved, chosen, wanted,
- 5:25connected. This is not a comforting idea.
- 5:28It is the law of consciousness operating without sentiment or
- 5:32exception. It works for the cynic as surely
- 5:35As for the believer. The law does not care whether
- 5:37you are convinced. It responds only to what you
- 5:40truly, deeply, habitually assume.
- 5:43Now let me give you the technique, the precise inner act
- 5:46that will change your assumption about this specific person.
- 5:49Tonight, in the only time and place where the law is fully
- 5:53operative, we have established the foundation.
- 5:56Everyone is you pushed out not as poetry, but as a the precise
- 6:00description of how consciousness operates.
- 6:03The specific person in your world reflects what you hold
- 6:06about them and about yourself. Change the held assumption and
- 6:10the reflection must change. This is the doorway.
- 6:13Now I'm going to take you through it with the actual
- 6:15technique, the specific scene, the specific state, the specific
- 6:20feeling you must inhabit in the state akin to sleep.
- 6:23To shift this situation, you will leave this conversation
- 6:26with a precise practice you can begin tonight.
- 6:29Not a vague idea, dear, Not an affirmation.
- 6:31A real inner act. Stay with me.
- 6:34The technique for assuming a specific person into your life
- 6:37follows the same structure as all use of the state, akin to
- 6:41sleep. But there are specific points of
- 6:43emphasis that apply uniquely to this desire.
- 6:46The 1st and most important, the scene you choose must come from
- 6:50them, not about them. Let me explain what I mean.
- 6:53Many people, when they attempt to use imagination to manifest a
- 6:57specific person, construct a scene in which they observe that
- 7:01person behaving differently. They imagine receiving a text,
- 7:05imagine seeing the person walk through a door, imagine the
- 7:08person saying the words they want to hear.
- 7:11And there is nothing wrong with this as far as it goes.
- 7:14But the most powerful scene is not one in which you observe the
- 7:17other person acting differently towards you.
- 7:20The most powerful scene is 1, in which you are inhabiting the
- 7:24state of already being in the relationship you desire.
- 7:28The distinction is subtle but critical.
- 7:30Observing someone behave differently still carries the
- 7:33energetic signature of watching from outside, hoping, waiting,
- 7:38inhabiting. The state of the relationship
- 7:40already established carries the energetic signature of the wish
- 7:44already fulfilled. So do not imagine them calling
- 7:47you. Imagine the easy, ordinary,
- 7:50natural feeling of talking to them, the way two people talk
- 7:54when they are already fully each other's.
- 7:56The comfortable silence between sentences, the way they're name
- 8:00sounds in your mouth when you are simply happy.
- 8:02The quality of a morning when this relationship is simply your
- 8:06life. That is the scene.
- 8:08That is the state. Now when you enter the state
- 8:10akin to sleep and begin to inhabit this scene, there is a
- 8:14specific feeling you must cultivate.
- 8:16I have already told you it is not excitement, but I want to go
- 8:19further because for this particular desire there is often
- 8:23a feeling that intrudes and must be addressed.
- 8:26The feeling is longing, the ache of wanting this person, the
- 8:30bittersweet quality of imagining them while they are not there.
- 8:33This feeling, while understandable, while human,
- 8:36will undermine your imaginal act if you allow it to be the
- 8:40dominant tone. Because longing is the feeling
- 8:43of absence, and absence is what will crystallize.
- 8:46The practice here is to transform the longing into the
- 8:49specific feeling of settled, ordinary love, love that has
- 8:53nowhere to go because it is already arrived.
- 8:56Not the sharp, aching love of someone who wants, the quiet,
- 9:00quiet, present love of someone who has.
- 9:02This is not cold. It is warmer in its own way than
- 9:06longing, because longing is always pointed outward toward
- 9:09what is not yet here. This quality of love I am
- 9:12describing is present. It is complete.
- 9:15It simply rests in what already is.
- 9:17Cultivate that feeling in your scene.
- 9:20Let it be the emotional temperature of your imaginal
- 9:23act. Now I want to address the
- 9:25question that I know arises in your mind because it has arisen
- 9:28in the minds of everyone I have ever taught this to.
- 9:32The question is, but what about their free will?
- 9:34I understand the question and I honor it, but I want you to
- 9:38think carefully about what you are actually asking.
- 9:41When you are in a difficult relationship, a relationship
- 9:44marked by distance or disconnection or silence, whose
- 9:47will do you believe is currently operating?
- 9:50You will say theirs. They chose to withdraw.
- 9:53They chose silence. They choose not to reach out.
- 9:56But I've been telling you all along, everyone is You pushed
- 9:59out the withdrawal, the silence, the distance.
- 10:02These are crystallizations of your own assumption about who
- 10:06you are in relation to this person.
- 10:08They are not their independent will operating free of your
- 10:11consciousness. They are the reflection of the
- 10:13state you have inhabited. So when you change the state,
- 10:17when you inhabit the assumption of the relationship as already
- 10:20fulfilled, you are not overriding anyone's will.
- 10:24You are simply changing the reflection.
- 10:26You are becoming in your inner life the version of yourself
- 10:30around whom this connection is the natural state.
- 10:33The other person will respond not because they are forced to,
- 10:36but because your new assumption will change your entire bearing,
- 10:40the way you hold yourself, the energy you carry, the subtle
- 10:441000 signals that human beings read in one another below the
- 10:48level of conscious thought. They will respond to the changed
- 10:51you, and they will call it their own feeling, their own impulse,
- 10:55their own choice, because it will be.
- 10:58This is the beauty and the precision of the law.
- 11:00No one is ever manipulated. The world simply rearranges to
- 11:04match the assumption, including the inner world of the person
- 11:08you love, which is at the level where the law operates, not as
- 11:12separate from you as it appears to be.
- 11:14Persist in your assumption, and the world must rearrange itself
- 11:18to conform. One more thing I must tell you,
- 11:21because it is the practice that will determine whether this
- 11:24works for you. Once you have done your imaginal
- 11:27act in the state akin to sleep, you must not spend the following
- 11:30day rehearsing the problem. Every time you tell the story of
- 11:34why this is hard, every time you think through what they said,
- 11:38what you said, what went wrong, why the distance exists, you are
- 11:42returning to the old assumption and planting it again.
- 11:45The imaginal act of the night before is not more powerful than
- 11:49an entire day of dwelling in the state of want and worry.
- 11:53The most important conversation you will ever have is the one
- 11:56you hold with yourself. Hold it carefully.
- 11:59When the when the mind returns to the problem, gently turn it.
- 12:02Not with force. Simply redirect.
- 12:05Return in your imagination to that feeling of the relationship
- 12:09already established, the warmth of it, the ease you are
- 12:13retraining, the habitual feeling that runs beneath your daily
- 12:16thoughts. This takes more than one night.
- 12:19It takes persistence. Faithful, consistent, undramatic
- 12:23persistence, night after night, day after day, until the new
- 12:27assumption becomes the habitual state.
- 12:30And then, in ways you may not be able to predict or explain, the
- 12:34outer world begins to move. You now have the specific
- 12:37technique, the scene that comes from inside the relationship
- 12:41rather than observing it from outside.
- 12:43The feeling of settled love rather than longing, the
- 12:47understanding that free will is not the obstacle it appears to
- 12:50be, and the practice of guarding your daily thoughts as carefully
- 12:54as you guard your nightly imaginal act.
- 12:57Now I'm going to take you into a guided experience, experience of
- 13:00this state, a practice run for tonight, and then I will close
- 13:04with the one final teaching that ties everything together.
- 13:07Stay present. We are almost at the most
- 13:10important part. Let me be very concrete about
- 13:12the practice, because the difference between those who
- 13:15succeed with this technique and those who do not is almost
- 13:19always a matter of precision and consistency, not effort or
- 13:23belief. The scene you choose for a
- 13:25specific person should meet these criteria.
- 13:28First, it should be small and intimate, not dramatic.
- 13:31Not a grand reunion. A small, quiet, real moment that
- 13:35could only exist if you were already together in the way you
- 13:39desire. The way they look at you across
- 13:41a room when there is nothing to prove between you anymore.
- 13:44The way their hand finds yours without either of you thinking
- 13:47about it. Second, the scene should involve
- 13:50reciprocity. Not you pursuing them, not them
- 13:54explicably showing up, but the two of you simply being in an
- 13:57ordinary moment that is only possible because the connection
- 14:01is already established and at ease.
- 14:04Third, the scene should carry a sense of the normal, the
- 14:07familiar, the already true. This is the hardest part to
- 14:10cultivate, and it is the most important.
- 14:13Your imagination must settle into this scene the way you
- 14:16settle into your own home at the end of a day, not with the
- 14:20excitement of a new place, with the ease of the familiar.
- 14:24Now, the timing. I have taught the state akin to
- 14:26sleep as the primary practice, but I want you to know that the
- 14:30technique can also be used in other moments of stillness.
- 14:33Brief windows during the day, when you can close your eyes for
- 14:3660 seconds and return to your scene.
- 14:39The lunch hour, the moment before a meeting, the few
- 14:43minutes of quiet before you rise in the morning.
- 14:45Use these windows. They compound the nightly
- 14:48practice, They deepen the groove of the new assumption.
- 14:52They make the feeling of the wish fulfilled more and more
- 14:54your habitual state until it no longer requires effort to
- 14:58access. There is something else I want
- 15:00you to consider. Many people who are trying to
- 15:02manifest a specific person become intensely focused on that
- 15:06person, on their social presence, their movements, their
- 15:10apparent interest in others. Any signal that might confirm or
- 15:14deny whether the imaginal act is working.
- 15:17Stop this completely. Checking the outer world for
- 15:20signs of progress is not the neutral act it appears to be.
- 15:24It is a return to the state of uncertainty, of wanting, of not
- 15:28yet having. Every time you examine their
- 15:31behavior for evidence, you plant the assumption of the result
- 15:35being uncertain, and uncertainty crystallizes its own evidence.
- 15:39Your work is entirely inner. The outer will report.
- 15:42You do not need to check it. When the crystallization of
- 15:45assumption is complete, when the inner work is done, the outer
- 15:49world will make itself unmistakable.
- 15:52You will not need to look for signs.
- 15:54The signs will come to you clearly in the form of the
- 15:57actual thing you desired. Until then, guard your inner
- 16:00world. Do not give your dwelling place
- 16:02to doubt or to analysis of the situation as it currently
- 16:06appears. The current appearance is the
- 16:08crystallization of past assumptions.
- 16:11It is already obsolete. You are planting the new dare to
- 16:14assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled in this specific
- 16:18relationship with this specific person.
- 16:21Not because it is certain from the outside.
- 16:23It will not look certain from the outside, not yet, But
- 16:27because the law of consciousness is certain, because what you
- 16:30deeply, habitually assume must crystallize in the world around
- 16:34you. That is not a hope.
- 16:36It is not a comfort. It is the operating principle of
- 16:39the reality you inhabit. And you are imagination, which
- 16:43means the operating principle of reality is yours to use.
- 16:47Close your eyes, Let the body settle, shoulders down, hands
- 16:51open. Breathe slowly once, let it go.
- 16:55Now bring to mind the specific person you desire in your life,
- 16:58not their face from a distance, the sense of them when they are
- 17:01simply near, the particular quality of being with them.
- 17:05Now let the scene come, the small, quiet, intimate moment,
- 17:09the moment that is only possible because the relationship is
- 17:12already complete. Where are you?
- 17:14What are you doing? Let it be ordinary, let it be
- 17:17simple. Feel yourself inside this
- 17:20moment, not watch inside. What is the quality of the air?
- 17:24What do your hands rest upon? Now feel the ease between you
- 17:27and this person. No distance, no uncertainty,
- 17:31simply the ease of two people who are already completely each
- 17:35others. Let that ease settle into you
- 17:37like warmth. Let it be ordinary, expected,
- 17:40normal. This is how it is, this is your
- 17:43life, this is simply how it is. Breathe, stay here.
- 17:47Let the scene be as real as the room you are sitting in, more
- 17:50real even, because what you imagine truly is the only
- 17:53reality. Feel the warmth of it, feel the
- 17:56ease, feel the normalcy of what is already done.
- 18:00Stay as long as you can. And tonight return here at the
- 18:03threshold of sleep. You came to me with a question
- 18:06that has lived in you for some time, perhaps.
- 18:09Can I really change how another person sees me?
- 18:12Can my imagination truly reach across the space between us?
- 18:16I want to answer you now from the deepest place I know.
- 18:18You have never been separate from this person.
- 18:21At the level where the law operates, the distance you
- 18:24observe is a distance you have been maintaining within your own
- 18:27consciousness through the assumption of separation,
- 18:30through the felt sense of them being beyond your reach.
- 18:34When you change that assumption, when you truly inhabit the state
- 18:37of the connection already established, you will discover
- 18:41that the distance was never as real as it appeared, that what
- 18:44seemed like walls were only crystallizations of a belief you
- 18:48no longer hold. Everyone is you pushed out.
- 18:51When you change, the push changes.
- 18:53When the push changes, what comes back to you changes.
- 18:57This is not a guarantee delivered with conditions.
- 19:00It is the law itself, operating as it always has, responding to
- 19:04what you hold in consciousness. Hold something new.
- 19:07Hold it faithfully. Hold it every night at the
- 19:10threshold of sleep and in as many quiet moments of the day as
- 19:14you can find. Persist in your assumption.
- 19:16The world must rearrange itself to conform.
- 19:19It has no other choice. Begin tonight.
- 19:22Lie down, enter the state, and for a few minutes inhabit the
- 19:26scene you have chosen. Not perfectly, Perfectly is not
- 19:29required. Faithfully, consistently, with
- 19:32the intention of changing not what they feel, but what you
- 19:35assume. The most important conversation
- 19:38you will ever have is the one you hold with yourself.
- 19:41Let that conversation tonight be the one where you decide to no
- 19:45longer rehearse the separation. Consciousness is the only
- 19:49reality, and you are that consciousness with the full
- 19:52power of imagination at your disposal.
- 19:55If these teachings call to you, return.
- 19:58There is always more waiting here.
