- 2:27Speaker 1: First of all, you guys are some legends in the
- 2:28Speaker 1: city man on some on some producer ship. Like I
- 2:32Speaker 1: feel like you guys, ah don't get enough credit the
- 2:35Speaker 1: League of Stars in general, just as a unit, it
- 2:39Speaker 1: was very much synonymous with the West Coast sound that
- 2:44Speaker 1: was popping nationally in facts. So salu to y'all appreciated
- 2:49Speaker 1: people who don't know who you guys are what you
- 2:51Speaker 1: guys have made. You guys have made some amazing songs
- 2:54Speaker 1: that we all know. Just kind of give us a rundown,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you know. Uh yeah, So so mine goes start and
- 3:00Speaker 1: from like tie me Down. I did a time Me Down.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Shout out to Ray Jna time the New Boys. What
- 3:07Speaker 1: happened to the New Boys? Man, that was a great record. Man,
- 3:13Speaker 1: It's unfortunate, but yeah, like they had a cool run.
- 3:16Speaker 1: One of them was fucking t Nase before anyone who
- 3:19Speaker 1: to Nash was I liked to Nash, I remember we
- 3:23Speaker 1: were too Look we had a concert. I think it
- 3:27Speaker 1: was like I don't want ninety one of them big
- 3:31Speaker 1: concerts at one of them amphitheaters and yeah, I'm like
- 3:36Speaker 1: I told Earl when I was with rock Nation, I'm like,
- 3:38Speaker 1: take me to meet right quick. You know what I'm saying.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Took me come out? What's up? You know what I mean? Nice?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Tie me down? Yeah? So I did, tie me down.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I did, like well for Problem, I did, like why why?
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah I did. I don't want to for Eric Bellinger,
- 4:00Speaker 1: don't want to. Yeah, thought for Game I remember the
- 4:04Speaker 1: Thought record. Yeah. Yeah. Then you know, just a bunch
- 4:09Speaker 1: of a bunch of other random ship like I did
- 4:11Speaker 1: high right now for Tyler yahweh's part of that. Shout
- 4:15Speaker 1: out to Tyler, shout wait there was a remix to
- 4:19Speaker 1: that too, right with with Whiz. Yeah, Tyler looks like
- 4:22Speaker 1: Whizz's doppelganger or his legitimate child. That was the perfect
- 4:26Speaker 1: person to get on that. But yeah, you know, and
- 4:29Speaker 1: then recently I just been doing you know, I did
- 4:31Speaker 1: to play the Win. Executive produced it nice. You know
- 4:34Speaker 1: there it is played the Win. I was on the
- 4:37Speaker 1: five Free Wing and the bench Fast Gang did a
- 4:40Speaker 1: gang all right, what about you man? God damn. The
- 4:43Speaker 1: free bro Ship produced the walk through for Richond mcquinner. Problem.
- 4:49Speaker 1: It's a big record, produced down for Easy shout out too,
- 4:55Speaker 1: and uh ship a lotto, yeah big, a lot of
- 4:59Speaker 1: my bad lot of but uh and then I produced
- 5:02Speaker 1: l summers for like the four Project, and then we
- 5:05Speaker 1: got Tango that's about to drop next Friday. She got
- 5:08Speaker 1: more ship than that. I mean that's just I'm a man,
- 5:11Speaker 1: you know. And then some ship that I got coming
- 5:17Speaker 1: uh next week, I got we got Tango. Then I
- 5:20Speaker 1: got a record with Ruby Rose dropping next Friday. Have
- 5:22Speaker 1: you only got with Ruby Roads? I haven't yet. She
- 5:25Speaker 1: finds the motherfucker. It's cool, though, I mean, I'm just
- 5:28Speaker 1: good on the production with HER's all good, you know. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I'm just wondering, like I've been contemplating, like I've never
- 5:34Speaker 1: signed up for an Only Fans account, but I know
- 5:37Speaker 1: she has one, So I was just wondering if you
- 5:40Speaker 1: guys have seen it, because I'm like not even know.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I wasn't where she Well, they do got reddit right
- 5:46Speaker 1: where you could just get ready, Yeah, everything is free already.
- 5:51Speaker 1: What'd you say she should feature me on our Only
- 5:54Speaker 1: Fans featuring Prico? I mean, you know, I did do
- 5:58Speaker 1: the bio pick with the Porno Store, but y'all got
- 6:01Speaker 1: that record coming. That's co produced with my boy Extendo
- 6:06Speaker 1: and Mike Crook Shot I e we, I just saw
- 6:09Speaker 1: two you posted. Your first plaque was with Tiger first
- 6:12Speaker 1: platinum plaque. Yeah, I produced four records on the legendary
- 6:15Speaker 1: Well on his last album he dropped and that was
- 6:17Speaker 1: the album. Was that the that's the one we had
- 6:20Speaker 1: taste on it? Oh yeah, I mean yeah, that's the one. Yeah,
- 6:23Speaker 1: thank god I was a part of that. So yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I went that was like come back album. Platinum. That
- 6:28Speaker 1: was the comeback album right there. Yeah, we thought Tiger
- 6:31Speaker 1: was dead. They said nope, peers didn't. We actually got
- 6:34Speaker 1: some come actually for his next ship. So Tiger's a beast. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 1: you know he always come with that one or two.
- 6:40Speaker 1: That's how you know, don't get it. You can't give
- 6:43Speaker 1: this ship up, you can, you can't give up. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: always tell everybody's always a hit away. We were just
- 6:47Speaker 1: talking about riche on m Kwan, right. Rich On m
- 6:49Speaker 1: Kwan was like that motherfucker. He got into a shitty
- 6:51Speaker 1: label situation. His label wasn't letting him release music and
- 6:55Speaker 1: then like I don't know, just just shi it was.
- 6:59Speaker 1: It just ain't what it was, but he had it though,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and he could get it back. He still is one
- 7:04Speaker 1: record away. Like think about it. T Pain last year
- 7:07Speaker 1: had the top twenty or top ten song of radio.
- 7:10Speaker 1: He really did this song Withny that was his record. Yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: he sampled himself that I need to sample walk through then.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So it's like you're just one record away, man, everyone's
- 7:21Speaker 1: always one record away. John was one record away about that.
- 7:28Speaker 1: He came all the way back. You ain't lying making
- 7:32Speaker 1: cloud he did. He didn't come all the way back,
- 7:34Speaker 1: but he came back back yet. But I mean, yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 1: you can't. You can't really count people out because you
- 7:40Speaker 1: never know. Bouck. I really, I think it's a consistency.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Like if you keep dropping dropping, they keep hearing you eventually.
- 7:48Speaker 1: That's what honestly, Loki, That's what Tiger was doing. He
- 7:50Speaker 1: just kept dropping ship and then something especially caught on,
- 7:53Speaker 1: Like you know, there's a lot of that ship, wasn't it?
- 7:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. But it's hard to beat
- 7:57Speaker 1: the motherfucker that don't quit, man. That's the truth. That
- 8:00Speaker 1: the truth. The one that don't quit always reaped through
- 8:02Speaker 1: the rewards. Though, who probably isn't one record away? Is
- 8:06Speaker 1: there anybody that's just not going to be able to
- 8:10Speaker 1: come back, even with the fire record. I feel it
- 8:12Speaker 1: could be anybody, anybody, honestly, especially with like TikTok and
- 8:17Speaker 1: like like even if it's funny, you know, like you know,
- 8:20Speaker 1: like ships, they got a good beat and the hard hook.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Anybody can come back. I'm sorry, I don't know Vanilla
- 8:26Speaker 1: Ice got going you taking. I was thinking I got,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but I'm like, man thirty years kame with a hard
- 8:36Speaker 1: ass metro booming beat. I think you could get that though.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I got on that hurt that new Yeah, I don't
- 8:48Speaker 1: know Vanilla Ice got it in them, not even with
- 8:52Speaker 1: it was hard. I listened to that ship the other
- 8:54Speaker 1: night that hey, that whole backstory on that crazy didn't
- 8:59Speaker 1: you take that record? Somehow he got hung off of
- 9:02Speaker 1: a balcony in l A. Yeah, and that's what some
- 9:05Speaker 1: nice golden urine peeing the cup and making me drink
- 9:10Speaker 1: it though, like I never heard of drink. Is this
- 9:13Speaker 1: exclusive information they made? They may be drink piss sugar.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I don't know, bro night pissed and allegedly a new
- 9:31Speaker 1: alleged information this coming soon, but that this guy was
- 9:38Speaker 1: out here drinking that goddamn that Anheuser. Fucking that Anheuser
- 9:42Speaker 1: bush for real? You know what, Jesus, that's terrible. Well, okay,
- 9:48Speaker 1: so your new project. You guys are just talking off
- 9:52Speaker 1: the record, So you're these guys are handling all the
- 9:56Speaker 1: production for the most part, Yeah, like ninety per saying everything,
- 10:01Speaker 1: why not make it one hundred percent one hundred percent? Yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 1: because I mean that would make Snori touch everything that
- 10:06Speaker 1: I do. You know what I'm saying. Make sure we
- 10:11Speaker 1: planned it. Were planning the Pause game. Pause, Yeah, hit
- 10:19Speaker 1: all the records and ship everywhere, come in, put de
- 10:30Speaker 1: finishing touches on the on the record. Yeah. So you're like,
- 10:33Speaker 1: you're like, you're the architect. You are the everything's got
- 10:36Speaker 1: to He's the over You's got to go through your
- 10:37Speaker 1: hands before it gets to the approval. Touch everything me
- 10:42Speaker 1: and do pre due project. He got songs on everything
- 10:45Speaker 1: that I did for like the last few years. But yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I forgot the fucking question. Man, we did the Pause game.
- 10:55Speaker 1: But yeah, now we were pretty much doing doing the
- 10:58Speaker 1: production on everything from you know, the end of I say,
- 11:02Speaker 1: the twenty one flood to the hurricane. Yeah, I mean
- 11:06Speaker 1: we talked about this a bit. Obviously, you're you love
- 11:11Speaker 1: me and you were talking about this in the gym.
- 11:12Speaker 1: We talked about on the podcast a few months ago.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Just your new situation. You could just do whatever the
- 11:17Speaker 1: fuck you want, whatever the fuck you want. Yeah right,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and it's and it's gonna make sense for me in
- 11:23Speaker 1: the you know, in the long run. And like up front,
- 11:27Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, Like we feel good
- 11:30Speaker 1: about something, we drop, it ain't gotta go explaining and
- 11:33Speaker 1: getting a zillion people behind it and differences of opinions
- 11:37Speaker 1: and all that shit make you just hate doing music. Now,
- 11:41Speaker 1: we just ay do pre We got to do pre
- 11:44Speaker 1: be on me, you know what I'm saying, No rules,
- 11:46Speaker 1: no r Like what is we doing this? Nigga sent
- 11:51Speaker 1: me so much music every day, Like we got like
- 11:54Speaker 1: a shipload of a shipload of records, you know what
- 11:57Speaker 1: I mean. And I feel like what we're doing right
- 12:00Speaker 1: now was just like cultivating a new scene in Los
- 12:04Speaker 1: Angeles or I mean it's the same scene, but just
- 12:07Speaker 1: a new ethic and a new outlook and a new
- 12:09Speaker 1: a new way to approach it because like on some
- 12:13Speaker 1: real shit, they've been getting boring as fuck out here. Motherfucker.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Drop one thing and then play the high celebrities. Shit,
- 12:19Speaker 1: ain't nobody getting dirty. We don't see niggas in the
- 12:22Speaker 1: streets driving none of that shit, pulling up out dropping records,
- 12:26Speaker 1: doing like nothing, you know what I mean. It's just
- 12:28Speaker 1: you know, all internet shit. So you know, we're getting
- 12:32Speaker 1: busy with the flood, you know what I mean, just
- 12:34Speaker 1: to click and you know, we just opening doors for
- 12:39Speaker 1: the I feel like the independent, the independent error, the
- 12:43Speaker 1: independent market for this streaming era is untouched, untapped and
- 12:49Speaker 1: stream Yeah. Yeah, I love the streaming. So it's untapped
- 12:53Speaker 1: and untouched in LA and it's kind of like still
- 12:56Speaker 1: foreign to a lot of people, you know what I mean.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So what we're doing is bring in that to the
- 13:00Speaker 1: forefront and letting motherfuckers know, like, if you got some
- 13:03Speaker 1: good you need to O D go in. Yeah, I
- 13:08Speaker 1: gotta ask you because problems Like what was like a moment,
- 13:12Speaker 1: a big moment for the city. Man, Like that was
- 13:15Speaker 1: like that was fucking crazy. I just remember that record
- 13:19Speaker 1: and like how it cut through just I was living
- 13:22Speaker 1: in no I was living in Phoenix at the time,
- 13:26Speaker 1: but that song was such a that song changed a
- 13:29Speaker 1: lot of people's lives. Yes, how did it, Like, like
- 13:33Speaker 1: tell me about that song. It just that, you know,
- 13:35Speaker 1: I love that that run Problem was on the Mollywood Runs,
- 13:39Speaker 1: Like I mean, you know, I feel like he had
- 13:44Speaker 1: it for like, you know, cool three years. I feel
- 13:46Speaker 1: like like when I thought of LA I thought a problem,
- 13:48Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And he's still doing this
- 13:50Speaker 1: thing obviously, but that specific record changed a lot. Yeah.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So with that record, like that was the last record
- 13:58Speaker 1: that we did on you know that that project and
- 14:02Speaker 1: Problem produces hisself and you know, he had the ideal
- 14:08Speaker 1: for it and everything, and you know, he just brought
- 14:10Speaker 1: it to me and I just kind of put my
- 14:14Speaker 1: my mix on it and you know, my drums and
- 14:17Speaker 1: and just turned it around like you know, changed the
- 14:20Speaker 1: main lead and you know it just went crazy. Yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That for a while, you guys had you guys had
- 14:26Speaker 1: the same manager, so he just kind of had the
- 14:28Speaker 1: pick of the litter of the League of Stars beats
- 14:30Speaker 1: for a while there. Yeah, But that was like at
- 14:32Speaker 1: that that was early right, Yeah, at that point, so
- 14:34Speaker 1: we was coming out of the Jerk era, and you know,
- 14:37Speaker 1: like I had a bunch of records in the Jerk era.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I was like popping, you know, and then it died out,
- 14:43Speaker 1: which records is you have, so like from the Jerk
- 14:46Speaker 1: era of course tied me down. I did Shia Model
- 14:49Speaker 1: for YG and just a bunch of like just random
- 14:52Speaker 1: stuff like like everybody that was pretty much popping, and
- 14:58Speaker 1: like it started to die out. My name started to
- 15:00Speaker 1: you know, kind of fizzle out with it as well,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and I started seeing like the pre De Nice, which
- 15:05Speaker 1: who are my homies you know from way back, they
- 15:08Speaker 1: were starting to come up. So you know, like I
- 15:11Speaker 1: joined Legue Stars and like that was like really my
- 15:14Speaker 1: turnaround record because I was just trying to put something out,
- 15:18Speaker 1: you know, I didn't have no records out that was tring. Yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 1: so at that time, that just that just kind of
- 15:24Speaker 1: turned everything around for me and you know like just
- 15:27Speaker 1: re you know, introducing myself back into the scene, you know,
- 15:32Speaker 1: from going from that fad to you know like, hey,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I just saw did the New Boys just release a
- 15:38Speaker 1: new Jerking song? Nah? It just went well, I don't
- 15:41Speaker 1: know if they released. I know that it went ReViral,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but I heard someone yesterday told me it's randomly because
- 15:47Speaker 1: I was just talking about the New Boys yesterday, someone
- 15:50Speaker 1: was like, yeah, they just put a new version. Oh,
- 15:53Speaker 1: I mean yeah, they wouldn't be surprised. Yeah, I wouldn't
- 15:55Speaker 1: be surprised. I mean it's going up, so it'd be
- 15:58Speaker 1: small take advantage, take advo that ship time me down. Wow,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I was a joint manah what was their names? Legacy
- 16:06Speaker 1: and ben J. Yeah. I was doing so much illegal
- 16:11Speaker 1: shipping around that time. Man ended up getting tied down
- 16:14Speaker 1: by the state of Calier literally literally littleco La County
- 16:23Speaker 1: over Now, So when you guys are working on G ship,
- 16:27Speaker 1: like what is the you know, do you guys collaborate
- 16:30Speaker 1: on stuff like for sure? Yeah, Like we we've been
- 16:33Speaker 1: collaborating for like almost ten years now, right, so you
- 16:37Speaker 1: know with G stuff, like we both bring a certain
- 16:40Speaker 1: sound to G and then you know, now we're just
- 16:43Speaker 1: putting it together and kind of like adding our flavors together.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So like if you you heard the song, the interview
- 16:50Speaker 1: produced the first half of the song, I produced the
- 16:52Speaker 1: second half of Oh Dope. See. I like the cohesive,
- 16:56Speaker 1: Like that's why I love what hip boys doing with
- 16:58Speaker 1: like Benny the butcher Nas. It's like we were just
- 17:01Speaker 1: talking about that, just talking about it's very cohesive. You know,
- 17:04Speaker 1: Jam sport J's in there too doing this thing. But
- 17:07Speaker 1: like just it's just I feel like right now in
- 17:10Speaker 1: hip hop, like you know, Freddie Gibbs, just the whole
- 17:12Speaker 1: Alfredo got nominated for a Grammy fully produced by alchemists,
- 17:17Speaker 1: but just that cohesive like sound for a project to
- 17:21Speaker 1: me is so like I think it's like clutch. Yeah,
- 17:24Speaker 1: for a producer, I think that's important too though, like
- 17:27Speaker 1: because like we get so trapped in to chasing placements
- 17:32Speaker 1: and you know, just trying to work with like the
- 17:34Speaker 1: artists that's hot when you and you will get a
- 17:36Speaker 1: hot record and the artists won't even work with you
- 17:39Speaker 1: after that. So it's like it's kind of cool to have,
- 17:42Speaker 1: you know, like ownership you know, and just build you know,
- 17:46Speaker 1: And I think a lot of producers are are kind
- 17:48Speaker 1: of like looking past that. It's another way to make money,
- 17:51Speaker 1: build your catalog and really build your legacy too. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: well talk to me about tags because you I don't
- 17:57Speaker 1: even what's your tag? God damn it, depreek, goddamnit dupree.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I know, sorry, but like the tag shit is so important,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and like I feel like there was a lot of
- 18:07Speaker 1: producers hit boys. One of them I had a conversation
- 18:09Speaker 1: with him or he was like man for the forever,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I would never use with tag. And meanwhile, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 1: some of my peers would be fucking so brandable because
- 18:18Speaker 1: their tag was so you know. And so now hit
- 18:21Speaker 1: Boy's got a fucking tag on every He's got like
- 18:23Speaker 1: three different ones he uses. But like it's so important.
- 18:26Speaker 1: How important is like the tag for a producer, because
- 18:28Speaker 1: I do feel like there were there's a lot of
- 18:31Speaker 1: producers who don't use tag still, but like for like
- 18:34Speaker 1: branding and just for like recognition, Like if someone says,
- 18:37Speaker 1: like you're Jnari and if they've heard a certain they're like, oh, yeah, shit,
- 18:41Speaker 1: I know your ship, you know what I mean? Like,
- 18:43Speaker 1: how important is the tag? Especially in the beginning, it's
- 18:46Speaker 1: like detrimental because that's I mean, that's that's you, that's
- 18:50Speaker 1: your stamp, that's your name, you know, Like that's how
- 18:52Speaker 1: people can you know, like I ain't never seen you,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I ain't never heard of you, but you know I
- 18:58Speaker 1: heard that tag, you know. So it's important to have
- 19:01Speaker 1: a tag and to have a catchy one at that,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Like, I think it's very
- 19:06Speaker 1: important though in the in the beginning for show these
- 19:10Speaker 1: fucking gummies as strong as how many did you did
- 19:14Speaker 1: you just see one? Two? You had another one? You
- 19:19Speaker 1: had three of them. Yeah, it's not a micro dose anymore.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Look at the back of the back, but is a bit.
- 19:27Speaker 1: You're currently in the touch of reality phase. If you
- 19:30Speaker 1: look at the back of the tops back, this is
- 19:33Speaker 1: touch of reality. Which one we enter you guys are
- 19:36Speaker 1: in the morning micro doves face, you guys had one.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Definitely somewhere perfect. I'm definitely feeling realistic right now. You
- 19:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I feel good though I'm saying.
- 19:48Speaker 1: But yeah, hey, look, oh my god, no, look when
- 19:59Speaker 1: he was the tags, I wanted to say something about
- 20:02Speaker 1: producers with the tags, right, Yeah, a lot of niggas
- 20:06Speaker 1: don't even worry about the beat and just they tag
- 20:09Speaker 1: be more important than the beat. Like niggas be having
- 20:12Speaker 1: these crappy as beats. True, but I think like with them,
- 20:16Speaker 1: I don't really want to speak for them, but like
- 20:18Speaker 1: just with it. Like a lot of good producers, like
- 20:21Speaker 1: I think that's the last thing I watch. Motherfuckers just
- 20:23Speaker 1: put so much emphasis on the tag instead of making
- 20:27Speaker 1: sure that a nigga could rap on this beat and
- 20:30Speaker 1: make a dope song. It's like a lot of producers
- 20:33Speaker 1: just me speaking from an artist's standpoint. A lot of
- 20:36Speaker 1: producers or beat makers, they make beats that's just the groove,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. It's a banging ass beat,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but it's like, damn where I rap at, you know
- 20:45Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So it's like it's just like a
- 20:48Speaker 1: special art to having some shit that that knock and
- 20:53Speaker 1: somewhere where you could rap at. That's why I think
- 20:55Speaker 1: a lot of like these simple beats that niggas shit on.
- 20:58Speaker 1: They go because it's somewhere for the artist to wrap
- 21:02Speaker 1: on this something. It getting busy and they go. You
- 21:05Speaker 1: know what I mean. A lot of people do great music,
- 21:07Speaker 1: but it's like the cohesiveness of the vocals and then hey,
- 21:13Speaker 1: we know, we gotta stop the podcast real quick. Shout
- 21:16Speaker 1: out to my bookie. Man. Listen, if you know anything

- 21:46Speaker 1: Is it gonna be honest? Is it gonna be Devin Booker?

- 21:52Speaker 1: Russell Westbrook. Crazy odds that ain't gonna happen. That's just

- 22:59Speaker 1: let's go. Oh, don't mess well, you know that is real.
- 23:02Speaker 1: There's so many tags with uh eight weight Mafia or
- 23:07Speaker 1: beats that I just always I don't know how many
- 23:09Speaker 1: people are in the away Mafia, but I feel like
- 23:11Speaker 1: every random mass rapper who's a nobody that I know
- 23:14Speaker 1: has an eight A weight Mafia fucking like they're like, yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 1: I got I got I got stuff with eight owight Mafia.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, you in fucking ninety eight others? Are
- 23:21Speaker 1: we sure these are mafia beats? Or someone just take
- 23:24Speaker 1: the tag and put them on their shitty beats and
- 23:26Speaker 1: upsell you. Is that a thing you think? Yeah, definitely, definitely,
- 23:31Speaker 1: like almost like bootleg beats loky Like, Yeah, definitely because
- 23:35Speaker 1: out to herd some beats with my tag on what
- 23:37Speaker 1: the fucking really do nothing? Swear what Nigga's still in
- 23:43Speaker 1: bro tag getting on this. You know he's selling them
- 23:47Speaker 1: on the line there, you know, like you you leasing
- 23:49Speaker 1: them or whatever? You know they getting paid? Do you
- 23:51Speaker 1: guys do the online least game because there's good money.
- 23:56Speaker 1: So so I'm I'm gonna get onto it out. I'm
- 24:01Speaker 1: just not used to it, you know what I'm saying,
- 24:03Speaker 1: Like and I it was me kind of being Hollywood
- 24:06Speaker 1: for a second, but I have to really think about it,
- 24:08Speaker 1: like how much money you leaving on the table on
- 24:10Speaker 1: the table, you know what I'm saying, like being Hollywood, Like, oh,
- 24:13Speaker 1: I get this much beat, but then there's somebody that
- 24:16Speaker 1: got you know, their beats up and you know one
- 24:20Speaker 1: hundred and fifty people bought this beat, you know what
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm saying, Yeah, like it adds up. So yeah, I
- 24:26Speaker 1: definitely I got a homiehoes making like five figures of
- 24:31Speaker 1: months who you wouldn't even know just off of fucking
- 24:34Speaker 1: because he's his YouTube channels doing this thing, and then
- 24:37Speaker 1: people like the type beat game, you know, like putting
- 24:41Speaker 1: up the Roddy Rich type beat on YouTube and then
- 24:44Speaker 1: the link to Lisa It or whatever. You know what
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like, yeah, lod of Great showed me. He
- 24:49Speaker 1: was showing me, you know, like what he was doing it,
- 24:53Speaker 1: and you know it made complete sense. But yeah, like
- 24:56Speaker 1: I just think like as a producer, like you said,
- 24:58Speaker 1: like you know, I manage a couple of producers, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: I know that, like the it's just important to monetize
- 25:05Speaker 1: everything because if you're always chasing placements, you're gonna be
- 25:09Speaker 1: fucking stressed out. It's gonna suck. You're gonna be in
- 25:11Speaker 1: a fucking studio session someone like cuts your beads and
- 25:14Speaker 1: then you're fucking sitting on your hands waiting to see
- 25:16Speaker 1: if you could if you could have if it, is
- 25:18Speaker 1: it ever gonna come out or not? You know, I
- 25:20Speaker 1: bet you that's probably happening, y'all. Chasing placements had me
- 25:24Speaker 1: like not making beats for like six months. Remember there
- 25:29Speaker 1: used to call me like, man, what's up what you're doing?
- 25:32Speaker 1: Like where you've been at? Like type ship, but you
- 25:35Speaker 1: know until really g is like really what got me
- 25:37Speaker 1: back on it? Because like I was, I was in
- 25:39Speaker 1: studio sessions, like just uncomfortable, just like hanging out in
- 25:43Speaker 1: studio sessions waiting for your chance to play bids and others. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 1: especially if there's other producers there. It's like you would rather, yo,
- 25:52Speaker 1: let's get in the studio, let's start on the same
- 25:54Speaker 1: you know, everything's Hollywood now too, so you know, like
- 25:58Speaker 1: I see it, bro, I see it. I would recommend
- 26:00Speaker 1: producers to just find every other way of you know,
- 26:05Speaker 1: like making money or you know, like you don't have
- 26:07Speaker 1: to just go for like the Drakes and like all
- 26:10Speaker 1: of them, like it's cool, do that too. But because ways,
- 26:14Speaker 1: if you focus on only that, you're gonna be hanging
- 26:16Speaker 1: out in studio sessions all fucking nd fucking with postmated
- 26:21Speaker 1: Boston Nova, waiting for your chance to play your beads
- 26:23Speaker 1: and then maybe someone cuts to your bead and then
- 26:25Speaker 1: you're gonna be like, all right, cool, is it ever
- 26:28Speaker 1: gonna come in here from now? Maybe? Maybe not, Like yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's a man. I commend y'all, because
- 26:37Speaker 1: the producer game is a tough one, man, you gotta
- 26:41Speaker 1: make it fun. Y'all really gotta love it. That's like
- 26:44Speaker 1: people who do photography and do graphic designs and do
- 26:47Speaker 1: all this ship. I'm like, man, y'all really gotta love
- 26:49Speaker 1: this ship because I don't feel you don't have to
- 26:53Speaker 1: stand on the damn chick all man. That is our
- 27:05Speaker 1: bino penis env That is the strain no penis envy. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:10Speaker 1: it's a popular strain which camera as strong as a
- 27:17Speaker 1: motherfucker this ship. Try just to see another fee. I'm good.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm good on the level of my mom. Bro. Let's go,
- 27:26Speaker 1: halpen you gotta stand up tripping. You know, I'm finna trip. Yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 1: like I'm mature outside. You know what clip of our
- 27:37Speaker 1: interview with the most crazy was the Clipper you saying
- 27:39Speaker 1: how you eating an edible saved your life? Bro? I
- 27:42Speaker 1: think I might be into some today. It might be
- 27:45Speaker 1: some ship on the horizon and I need to avoid
- 27:48Speaker 1: because I'm going to lay down after that. This ship.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm going to lay down after this for sure. Oh
- 27:59Speaker 1: my god, he you tripping bro this first time. This
- 28:04Speaker 1: is about to be a cold car ride back. Pray
- 28:08Speaker 1: for me, all. I got a blunts. The clothes doing awesome, bro,
- 28:14Speaker 1: Like super just showed me some cool designs, a little
- 28:17Speaker 1: shroom design. Bro, I'm mad that I didn't bring you
- 28:20Speaker 1: something and you definitely getting the whole run and them shirts.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna make sure you on deck after this got you.
- 28:26Speaker 1: You rightfully deserved to be the face of that T shirt.
- 28:30Speaker 1: But yeah, the clothes doing great. Bro. It's ships just
- 28:36Speaker 1: been opened me up, man, Like It's crazy how music
- 28:39Speaker 1: brings so much ship to you, you know what I'm saying,
- 28:42Speaker 1: Like I'm doing I'm doing a drop with a with
- 28:46Speaker 1: network that works dope. Yeah, so I bought some stuff
- 28:50Speaker 1: off of there and then resold it right and they
- 28:53Speaker 1: called me to uh to work with them, but not
- 28:55Speaker 1: as an artist, as a clothing designer, you know what
- 28:59Speaker 1: I'm saying. You almost rather that, So that was like
- 29:02Speaker 1: super dope, you know what I mean, Like, Okay, my
- 29:04Speaker 1: brand got me, like getting other looks that music normally
- 29:08Speaker 1: just just only music wouldn't normally get me. So I mean,
- 29:12Speaker 1: it's doing great, bro. It's people calling we're still in
- 29:16Speaker 1: and fucking I'm fucking high as a motherfucker, but we're
- 29:27Speaker 1: still in. Fucking uh Damn. I can't say it. I
- 29:34Speaker 1: really think where are you still in? The closing line
- 29:38Speaker 1: is still in the Is it a store? Yes? Which store?
- 29:43Speaker 1: Let's oh fuck bro. So anyway, the clothing line is
- 29:51Speaker 1: in a gang of different department stores. It's in a
- 29:53Speaker 1: gang of different retails. We're not a gang of different retails,
- 29:57Speaker 1: one specific retail. We mainly online and it's doing great, man,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And it it's just showing
- 30:06Speaker 1: me how to operate, you know, as a businessman that
- 30:10Speaker 1: I need to just have structure around that in order
- 30:13Speaker 1: for it to keep going. Because like as an artist,
- 30:16Speaker 1: you could get lucky dropping something one time. Oh this
- 30:20Speaker 1: is a dope, ass idea, everybody buy it, fuck with it.
- 30:23Speaker 1: But the catch is being able to get them to
- 30:26Speaker 1: fuck with it, you know, continuously make it a piece
- 30:29Speaker 1: of their lifestyle. You know what I'm saying, make it.
- 30:32Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. You know beyond lifestyle. They
- 30:35Speaker 1: light well life is lifestyle. So you know, just make
- 30:38Speaker 1: it it day to day for them, you know what
- 30:40Speaker 1: I'm saying, Meaning that every time you drop something, whether
- 30:44Speaker 1: it be a hat, ash tray, whatever it is, they
- 30:49Speaker 1: with the movement of the brand. You know what I'm saying,
- 30:51Speaker 1: And do you like going like fucking when you like,
- 30:54Speaker 1: because obviously we're in LA, there's a garment district. You
- 30:56Speaker 1: go pick like the pieces you want to put shit
- 30:59Speaker 1: on yourself, or you have other people handle all that ship. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I'm real hands on if the quality of everything is high.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So it's like I even like I just packed like
- 31:08Speaker 1: five hundred orders like myself the other night, you know
- 31:12Speaker 1: what I mean, just like fuck it, I'm about to
- 31:15Speaker 1: just do this ship, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 31:19Speaker 1: like some of the ship though, like some of the
- 31:21Speaker 1: ship I signed and did some extra ship for people,
- 31:24Speaker 1: but like if they spent like yo, these these fulls,
- 31:28Speaker 1: drop the bag, let me throw something in here right right.
- 31:31Speaker 1: So you'll catch a rare moment where I pack orders.
- 31:33Speaker 1: But for most of the time I just pay somebody
- 31:35Speaker 1: to do that. But like I like to be hands
- 31:38Speaker 1: on with as much as possible, so I know, just
- 31:42Speaker 1: you know, everything they got to do with the business.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Just in case somebody like, man, we can't do this,
- 31:46Speaker 1: we can't hold up. I know how to. It's not
- 31:49Speaker 1: that hard, you know what I'm saying. Kickback, I can
- 31:51Speaker 1: handle it, you know, I mean have you linked up
- 31:52Speaker 1: with a David Sebastian yet, David Sebastian, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 1: David Sebastian dope. Man. I remember when I got up
- 31:58Speaker 1: on him was a June teenth. He performed like in
- 32:03Speaker 1: front of my shop on Renondo and Ship and I'm like,
- 32:07Speaker 1: this dude, dope, Like he commanded the whole He commanded
- 32:10Speaker 1: the whole block when he got there and made it
- 32:13Speaker 1: a vibe, you know what I'm saying. So I've been
- 32:14Speaker 1: on him since then, but we yet to his clothing
- 32:17Speaker 1: line is you know he's doing like the like the
- 32:20Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw the Kanye is like
- 32:22Speaker 1: having homeless people model his clothes. Yeah, that's all through
- 32:25Speaker 1: a collab with David Sebastian's clothing line, skared Row. So
- 32:30Speaker 1: I'm up, I should do it. Y'all should do the
- 32:32Speaker 1: little you know, a little Blue Tea skied Row collab. Man,
- 32:36Speaker 1: it's a no brainer. We gotta do it. And you
- 32:38Speaker 1: guys can eat rooms together because he is a troom guy.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Super room. Not the gummies. Now, the gummies are it, bro?
- 32:45Speaker 1: Natural natural ones. You don't know what natural sign app.
- 32:52Speaker 1: You gotta stuff them in like a peanut butter sandwich
- 32:53Speaker 1: or something. If I ever get to that point. Yeah,
- 32:56Speaker 1: now that's why you made. That's why you eat these,
- 32:58Speaker 1: because these at least you know there's some sort of
- 33:01Speaker 1: like guide. When you eat the natural ship, you might
- 33:04Speaker 1: get a cap that's fucking ill, you know what I'm saying.
- 33:09Speaker 1: I had that. I had that a couple of months.
- 33:11Speaker 1: You had experience with the wrong No, no, the capsule
- 33:14Speaker 1: it was you had a battery micro dose? Yeah? What
- 33:16Speaker 1: was it from one of his friends? Bro? Damn? What
- 33:24Speaker 1: is the bat tript? What was your Like? I was
- 33:27Speaker 1: just tripping, like I just was feeling like real weird,
- 33:31Speaker 1: Like my head was spinning, like I was sweating a lot,
- 33:33Speaker 1: and made me stop taking strooms around that time. Yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 1: Like when I laid down, it felt like I was falling,
- 33:39Speaker 1: so I kept getting up ship like yeah, and it
- 33:43Speaker 1: was it lasted for like two hours. Did you have
- 33:45Speaker 1: did you hallucinate? Like did you see anything? No? No,
- 33:48Speaker 1: I didn't hallucinate. I did that off edible, like hallucinated
- 33:52Speaker 1: off of an edible. I'm not the devil. That's why
- 33:56Speaker 1: I was scared of this, because like I tripped on
- 33:58Speaker 1: the edible, bro, So I'm like, yeah, I mean you
- 34:00Speaker 1: had is strong. You had two pieces. You had two pieces,
- 34:03Speaker 1: but but if you ate that whole bag, you might
- 34:06Speaker 1: three of the pieces. But if you ate the whole bag,
- 34:09Speaker 1: you might have, like, you know, a conversation with Jesus.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Or I would never eat the whole bag. Bro, Just
- 34:14Speaker 1: imagine having a conversation with Jesus, like you could never
- 34:17Speaker 1: come back. Like, man, you're gonna change. I do want
- 34:21Speaker 1: to talk to him, but just not at this moment.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Your whole ship gonna change your whole life Outlook how
- 34:29Speaker 1: you approach it? Yeah, why wouldn't you eat the whole bag?
- 34:33Speaker 1: You don't want to talk to Jesus, right Bro, that's
- 34:35Speaker 1: why we talk. What would you ask Jesus if you
- 34:39Speaker 1: if what would you ask Jesus though? Why they ain't
- 34:41Speaker 1: hating on me? J I don't know, Like why am
- 34:46Speaker 1: I up here talking to you right now? I'd be like, man,
- 34:49Speaker 1: this whole time, I thought no, I thought you wasn't real. Bro,
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna telling everybody stopping fool ship. I'd be like Jesus, look, man,
- 34:58Speaker 1: let's make a deal, you know what I mean kind
- 35:01Speaker 1: of deal with let me give you, let me give
- 35:03Speaker 1: you a he take yourself into to the Lord. You said, well,
- 35:08Speaker 1: you're gonna sell your soul to the Lord. Yeah, I
- 35:10Speaker 1: already gave my you know, confess before the Lord and
- 35:13Speaker 1: everything already did his law. Amen, I'm saved. Could you
- 35:16Speaker 1: sell your souldiers to the Lord? I've never heard of
- 35:20Speaker 1: except when you accept Jesus as your lord said. I
- 35:25Speaker 1: never heard it like that said. Because you go to
- 35:27Speaker 1: the devil and you're telling them, let's make a deal. Right,
- 35:30Speaker 1: why don't we just all become scientiflog go to the
- 35:32Speaker 1: Lord and said let's make a deal. Yeah, get real money. Hey,
- 35:37Speaker 1: I've seen a commercial for Simon Gibson the crazy people,
- 35:41Speaker 1: man Looney, Really yo them, Scientologist, fools, you always have money.
- 35:47Speaker 1: That's a realized cult. That's that's a wild ship. I
- 35:50Speaker 1: mean most religion is kind of cult. That's right. But
- 35:53Speaker 1: like for sure, Scientologist, when you're thinking about it, you
- 35:57Speaker 1: got to believe in some ship you've never seen before,
- 35:59Speaker 1: I've never really touched you, and believe that it's helping
- 36:03Speaker 1: you and changing your life. You know what I'm saying,
- 36:05Speaker 1: Which you know, everybody gotta believe in something, right, this
- 36:08Speaker 1: this is true. I believe. I just believe in my
- 36:11Speaker 1: enterprise clique. You know what I mean. I believe in
- 36:14Speaker 1: you know, I believe in enterprise. Click over Jesus, because
- 36:17Speaker 1: you're here in front of me. Enterprise. You heard them. Well,
- 36:24Speaker 1: I am extremely I'm very anti religious, so you know,
- 36:27Speaker 1: I think a lot of it is all man made.
- 36:29Speaker 1: And you know, my thing is just belonging to a
- 36:32Speaker 1: specific religion. It's like joining the gang. You're like agnostic.
- 36:36Speaker 1: You believe in high powered, believe in God. But there's
- 36:38Speaker 1: just that's for sure belong to. I believe I belong
- 36:43Speaker 1: to Broadway Game, but allegedly, well not because I'm a businessman.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I'm much more than that. But you know, for a
- 36:54Speaker 1: long part of my life I belong to that. But
- 36:57Speaker 1: you know right now I belong to this enterprise Click
- 37:00Speaker 1: the ship that giant beg tattoo. How painful was that?
- 37:03Speaker 1: It didn't hurt? It didn't hurt. You know that ship hurt? Bro?
- 37:06Speaker 1: You're calling me like bro, all shading it was from?
- 37:10Speaker 1: So was it worse than the removal removed? Don't really
- 37:16Speaker 1: looks like it's hurt. Like they only go over it
- 37:19Speaker 1: one time. I'm getting he come into the house after this.
- 37:21Speaker 1: You're getting some ship removed what do you get remove
- 37:23Speaker 1: my tat on my neck. I'm cleaning up my whole
- 37:26Speaker 1: little I don't know what side it's on, but I
- 37:29Speaker 1: gotta ta right here. I ain't gonna lie you. You
- 37:32Speaker 1: look like you was trying to look comfortable, but you
- 37:34Speaker 1: look like you just it's just once. Yeah, they go
- 37:39Speaker 1: over it pop or a tye one time and then back.
- 37:43Speaker 1: It's like ten minutes and it's gone, and then creation
- 37:47Speaker 1: is over. Oh, because it's a bunch of different treatments, right,
- 37:50Speaker 1: it's about it's gonna take about like twelve sessions they
- 37:52Speaker 1: said for it to go away. Damn, you smell that
- 37:56Speaker 1: dark as a motherfucker, like smell it smell, and then
- 37:58Speaker 1: it's like part of my throat, so I could taste
- 38:02Speaker 1: it coming through my throat. You could talk when it's come.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I'm like, damn, it's this ship even like safe because
- 38:10Speaker 1: I need my you know what I'm saying. Yeah, I'm
- 38:13Speaker 1: around end up like fucking goddamn yeah the dl C. Yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 1: oh yeah, you need my vocals, you know what I'm saying.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I thought about that ship too, like damn if I
- 38:23Speaker 1: ever lose my voice, like me being able to talk,
- 38:30Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying to like, from the beginning
- 38:33Speaker 1: of time, whatever it was, I was selling dope, pimping.
- 38:37Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I never was a jacker,
- 38:41Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Music, these companies walking in
- 38:44Speaker 1: these offices, it's like, I need my I need my vocals. Man,
- 38:49Speaker 1: motherfucker can't talk, you know what I'm saying. Talk my
- 38:52Speaker 1: way into some bags like over ms set a nigga
- 38:56Speaker 1: in blue. You know throughout life that's a lot of money. Yeah,
- 39:02Speaker 1: you're I spend money Like It's like I thought about
- 39:05Speaker 1: it the other day. I said, damn, how I can't
- 39:08Speaker 1: even tell you, Like if I was to put my
- 39:11Speaker 1: finger on something like, how did this nigga? How do
- 39:13Speaker 1: I make money? Man? I can't just do it. I
- 39:17Speaker 1: am people be like, I can't tell you. I just
- 39:19Speaker 1: got ship. I think about, like, well, not ten years
- 39:22Speaker 1: ago I was balling into but like, man, times you
- 39:27Speaker 1: had times in between. The last time I saw you,
- 39:29Speaker 1: you're showing me your new fucking was it an Impala?
- 39:31Speaker 1: Were money Carlo? It was a money Carlo. Yeah yeah,
- 39:34Speaker 1: you have a serious car issue. Yeah yeah, yeah. I'm
- 39:37Speaker 1: on the opposite side of myrole. The keys to that
- 39:39Speaker 1: vehicle and car my car's paid off. It's also two
- 39:42Speaker 1: thousand and seven Sequoia, but it's paid off, you know
- 39:44Speaker 1: what car. But it's like i' just be thinking about evolution,
- 39:51Speaker 1: Like I was driving up. I stayed on Magnolia on
- 39:53Speaker 1: the other end of Magnoia when I first got out
- 39:55Speaker 1: of jail and ship the valley. Yeah, and the rent
- 39:58Speaker 1: was like twelve hundred a month, thirteen under the month,
- 40:00Speaker 1: and it's like, man, I couldn't I never live in
- 40:02Speaker 1: no spot like this. And then the home you remember
- 40:05Speaker 1: when I said that last night and he's like, oh
- 40:08Speaker 1: you boogie, And it's like when I think about it,
- 40:10Speaker 1: it's like damn, like think, yeah, for real, when did
- 40:16Speaker 1: you get out of the valley? My daughter, my daughter
- 40:19Speaker 1: mom moved to l A so just to be able
- 40:23Speaker 1: to uh stay for she could be close to her
- 40:27Speaker 1: mom and go to a night school. I just moved
- 40:30Speaker 1: in there. I feel like, you know, so many artists
- 40:32Speaker 1: like will leave LA to go to the valley just
- 40:34Speaker 1: to get away from the hood. But do you feel
- 40:38Speaker 1: like so many people have moved to the valley now
- 40:41Speaker 1: that it's like still something like you might go to
- 40:43Speaker 1: the corner store and running this story because valley is
- 40:46Speaker 1: kind of active. Now. We were saying that to look
- 40:51Speaker 1: and see see a nigga. I'm like the just the
- 40:54Speaker 1: street and me was ready to bust to you. And
- 40:59Speaker 1: but it's like in the valley, bro, you know what
- 41:01Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like, I'm like, I'm driving this is this
- 41:04Speaker 1: is over a year ago, so it doesn't matter. But
- 41:06Speaker 1: I'm like fucking driving down Lankership over here on Magnolia
- 41:10Speaker 1: and just Mazzi's crossing the street, you know, like to
- 41:13Speaker 1: go by himself to go to Hot Dave's Hot Chicken
- 41:15Speaker 1: over twelve months ago. But I was like, yo, and
- 41:18Speaker 1: I was like, you know, everybody who's a rapper and
- 41:26Speaker 1: they all live like right here, they all record like
- 41:29Speaker 1: right here, Like the valley is like I ain't gonna
- 41:33Speaker 1: lie miss me in in the valley, within the same
- 41:35Speaker 1: couple of blocks. Everybody got everybody, everybody got a fucking
- 41:38Speaker 1: studio over here. It's it's crazy and it only makes sense,
- 41:43Speaker 1: like all right, you got the rapper district, you got
- 41:47Speaker 1: the fashion district, you got this, you got that. You
- 41:49Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like there was a very popular
- 41:52Speaker 1: rapper who was on my show yesterday who probably you know,
- 41:57Speaker 1: there's some perceived smoke going on with this guy and
- 42:01Speaker 1: we're just standing on a corner and I'm just like, yo, man,
- 42:06Speaker 1: like yeah, but like we're on the corner of Magnolia
- 42:09Speaker 1: and Kuwayne to just hanging out the hood though it's
- 42:12Speaker 1: not so it's good. But it's like this, look when
- 42:16Speaker 1: you outside of the ghetto. Because it's the thing about
- 42:20Speaker 1: La right every area is it's like it's an army
- 42:25Speaker 1: around that motherfucker. So if you caught on any of
- 42:28Speaker 1: these blocks, niggas could get online. You know, it's niggas
- 42:31Speaker 1: coming out of spots like ship like this. If I
- 42:34Speaker 1: bump into somebody that I may have a problem with,
- 42:37Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, We have the same disadvantage
- 42:42Speaker 1: and becossible advantage. You're not on your home area. Yeah,
- 42:46Speaker 1: we fishes out of water. So if some crack I
- 42:49Speaker 1: still got to get to safety after everything transpire, you
- 42:53Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Or you know, however it might in,
- 42:57Speaker 1: motherfuckers still got to get somewhere low. So you know,
- 43:00Speaker 1: out here it's all even playing field. How but we
- 43:04Speaker 1: ain't looking for that. We're getting money now. I was
- 43:06Speaker 1: gonna say, how like when it comes to like some
- 43:08Speaker 1: of your younger homies were from where you're from. How
- 43:13Speaker 1: like do you try to give them advice? Do you
- 43:15Speaker 1: try to make sure that they're Yeah, like anybody that
- 43:17Speaker 1: are listened. But like when I was growing up, I
- 43:20Speaker 1: wouldn't like I was a little different though. It's like
- 43:24Speaker 1: sometimes I didn't want to hear that shit, but I'll
- 43:26Speaker 1: be really hearing that shit. You know what I'm saying.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I'll be acting like I ain't trying to hear that,
- 43:30Speaker 1: but you know what I said, So you know, I'll
- 43:34Speaker 1: just be whoever want to listen and whoever I see
- 43:37Speaker 1: potential in, you know what I'm saying. And when whenever
- 43:40Speaker 1: one of the young homies is ready to listen, I
- 43:42Speaker 1: know they're gonna come to me. Cause it in the ghetto.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Bro's so much like them ass pride like Nigga be
- 43:50Speaker 1: so prideful for no fucking apparent reason besides nigga whoop whoop.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Don't need no nigga and woo whoop the bullshit that
- 44:00Speaker 1: niggas get fed. You know what I'm saying, I don't
- 44:02Speaker 1: need nobody. I'm tougher than everybody, this, that, and the other.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I ain't finna be listening to no nigga, no nigga,
- 44:08Speaker 1: finna have no over, but not realizing that in this world, like,
- 44:13Speaker 1: it's full of people for a reason. People make this
- 44:16Speaker 1: shit go around. So you need people, You need relationships,
- 44:20Speaker 1: You need somebody that you could get gained from and
- 44:22Speaker 1: guide you in the right direction. You know what I'm saying,
- 44:24Speaker 1: Ain't nothing wrong with that. So yeah, like, whoever, whoever
- 44:28Speaker 1: you want to listen, like, I'm open to like fucking with,
- 44:32Speaker 1: give me niggas all the game that I got for sure. Hey,
- 44:35Speaker 1: we gotta stuff a podcast, man, real quick. Appreciate y'all

- 45:51Speaker 1: Soxofficial dot com. Go show us some love and let's
- 45:53Speaker 1: get back to the interview. What would be some producer
- 45:56Speaker 1: advice you guys would give to up and coming producers.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I know a lot of producers these days are getting
- 46:00Speaker 1: on with like just setting out loops, you know, certain
- 46:02Speaker 1: shit like that. Like, what would be some advice you
- 46:04Speaker 1: guys would give? So, Like, my biggest advice that I
- 46:07Speaker 1: give to new producers is like, first of all, conquer
- 46:10Speaker 1: your city. If you can get your city behind you,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you know you can expand. And that's kind of like
- 46:17Speaker 1: how I did it. And I will also say just
- 46:20Speaker 1: be original, Like there's always like rules to produce and
- 46:26Speaker 1: like you need you know, your kicks go here, your
- 46:29Speaker 1: claps go here. But you know, like when you're doing
- 46:31Speaker 1: melodies and like stuff like that, you always think out
- 46:34Speaker 1: the box because if you can make that dope, like,
- 46:36Speaker 1: you got a better chance of starting what's new rather
- 46:39Speaker 1: than following what's you know everybody else is doing because
- 46:42Speaker 1: only a couple of people are going to get on
- 46:44Speaker 1: doing that certain thing. And you know it's always somebody
- 46:48Speaker 1: that comes and changes the landscape and that's you know,
- 46:52Speaker 1: those are the ones that usually you know, we remember, right,
- 46:55Speaker 1: that's real. What about you? Oh, what I would say
- 46:58Speaker 1: to up, like to up and cooming producer, say say
- 47:00Speaker 1: like like stay consistent and lock in with an artist
- 47:03Speaker 1: that like fits your sound because trying I think that's important,
- 47:06Speaker 1: trying to chase like you know, superstars. If you walk
- 47:09Speaker 1: in with one guy, maybebe with that one. They're dope,
- 47:11Speaker 1: they're on the come up, or they're just someone you
- 47:13Speaker 1: believe in and you do a whole project with them
- 47:15Speaker 1: and you lock and develop a sound with them. That
- 47:17Speaker 1: shit to me is super important. That's like most important,
- 47:19Speaker 1: Like that's like a gym. And I would like I
- 47:21Speaker 1: would say, like Bill, I would say, like build that,
- 47:24Speaker 1: you know what I mean, like like like build relationships,
- 47:26Speaker 1: Like don't worry about like that quick check. Yeah, you
- 47:29Speaker 1: built the relationships. You built the catalog. I didn't build
- 47:31Speaker 1: relationships with like g Tiger, Like, so I'm always gonna
- 47:34Speaker 1: be on like they projects. Yeah, Like nowadays, if you're
- 47:36Speaker 1: independent and let's say you're a producer and you're fucking
- 47:38Speaker 1: with an artist and y'all do an album dropping on
- 47:40Speaker 1: disco kid and just set up the splits and you
- 47:43Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, You're getting paid off of
- 47:45Speaker 1: the fucking streams. You know what I'm saying, Like you
- 47:46Speaker 1: might not sell ten beats to that artist, but you
- 47:49Speaker 1: guys can be partners on the on the project, you know. Yeah,
- 47:51Speaker 1: And that's advice for producers who've been doing this shit
- 47:54Speaker 1: for ten years and you know, like are just learning
- 47:58Speaker 1: the importance of walking in with the artists versus trying
- 48:02Speaker 1: to send out beats and you know, and then just
- 48:05Speaker 1: speaking on like sending the beats, I would just add
- 48:07Speaker 1: on to just saying like don't get discouraged, like if
- 48:10Speaker 1: you send a beat like today, and like the artists
- 48:12Speaker 1: don't say nothing or even if they read it, you
- 48:14Speaker 1: know what I mean, like wait the next day or
- 48:15Speaker 1: next day, like use that as motivation because I didn't
- 48:17Speaker 1: have certain artists. Even with this guy, I send him
- 48:20Speaker 1: a beat on Tuesday, he won't get back to me
- 48:22Speaker 1: like till next Saturday. You know what I'm saying. But
- 48:24Speaker 1: I'm still sending them ship within that process when someone's like, yo,
- 48:27Speaker 1: send me a pack, what what would you guys suggest like,
- 48:30Speaker 1: because sometimes it's like it's over It's an overkill, right,
- 48:34Speaker 1: somebody will send your paint. I'm saying I'm a texture
- 48:36Speaker 1: to beats man because that packs you can get caught
- 48:38Speaker 1: up in the loop with then I mean that was
- 48:41Speaker 1: another producer. I mean like nowadays, for me, I like
- 48:44Speaker 1: to go in and create more than the packs. Like
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'll send a couple, but like it's better for me
- 48:49Speaker 1: to to actually get in and make something new from
- 48:52Speaker 1: scratch with the artists. So that way, yeah, that's real
- 48:54Speaker 1: or just vibee. If I'm not making something from scratch,
- 48:57Speaker 1: it'll be good to get in with the artists so
- 48:59Speaker 1: we could just vibe up. I didn't got placements just
- 49:01Speaker 1: selling the beat. It could be regular, but me just
- 49:04Speaker 1: I'm a cool dude, so I'm a vibe with you
- 49:05Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. They get that vibe and it's
- 49:07Speaker 1: like we got a record so that I ain't gonna lie.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I don't even listen to beat packs like niggas and
- 49:14Speaker 1: I look at all that. It been so many times
- 49:18Speaker 1: where a motherfucking plays some ship for me, like even
- 49:21Speaker 1: these niggas like and it's like I've been senting you
- 49:23Speaker 1: this ship. It's like I never checked that email yeah
- 49:27Speaker 1: for you as a fucking beat packs, because when I did,
- 49:30Speaker 1: it'd be like, all right, this part of the beat
- 49:33Speaker 1: is tight, especially if it's not my producers. This part
- 49:37Speaker 1: of the beat is tight. But like I said earlier,
- 49:40Speaker 1: where do I fit in on this? Motherfucker? They forget
- 49:43Speaker 1: that and we can't rego in on it and redo
- 49:46Speaker 1: it like I'm not even fucking Yeah. The cool thing
- 49:49Speaker 1: about g is with he got a vision, so he'll
- 49:52Speaker 1: hear something and I might have produced it, and he
- 49:55Speaker 1: might hear something that he wants the pre to do
- 49:56Speaker 1: on it, so he might be like take this out
- 49:58Speaker 1: or you know this year, you know, like you got
- 50:01Speaker 1: that luxury right because if it's just some random producer
- 50:04Speaker 1: from Atlanta and they send you a beat, you like,
- 50:05Speaker 1: I might like this, but where are you at the send? Like,
- 50:07Speaker 1: let's stand this bitch out listen. Yeah, bro, And it's
- 50:10Speaker 1: rare that I find the beat where I just like
- 50:12Speaker 1: rap over the whole shit and I don't need nothing change.
- 50:15Speaker 1: It's like, all right, it's too heavy right here. My
- 50:17Speaker 1: voice is clashing with this ship. I don't you know
- 50:20Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like I used to do that ship,
- 50:22Speaker 1: but now it's like, I don't know. We're just making
- 50:24Speaker 1: music and having fun. So that pack shit to listen,
- 50:29Speaker 1: You've been dropping a bunch of shit. But what's what's like?
- 50:31Speaker 1: What's what's this all leading up to South Central the album,
- 50:36Speaker 1: like the album album South Central and then Hot Shot
- 50:39Speaker 1: the album, So two albums this year, like you know.
- 50:43Speaker 1: And then it's just a gang of projects Tango steal G,
- 50:46Speaker 1: slim Me and j nor w ain't put a name
- 50:49Speaker 1: on our project, me and loder Grade. It's a lot
- 50:52Speaker 1: of projects coming on the way and a lot of
- 50:55Speaker 1: leaks l A Summers too. Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
- 50:59Speaker 1: It's just a lot of projects in a lot of
- 51:01Speaker 1: leaks that we got coming, cause it's just like I said, Bro,
- 51:04Speaker 1: we fucking we're paving a way for this new error. Bro,
- 51:09Speaker 1: it's a streaming era. It's a new underground era. And
- 51:13Speaker 1: the market and the scene is untapped in La. Everybody
- 51:16Speaker 1: want to do shit and get signed and fake look
- 51:19Speaker 1: good and fake me rich. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 51:22Speaker 1: we really getting to it and you're gonna like this summer,
- 51:26Speaker 1: We're gonna funck shuit up because I you know, be
- 51:29Speaker 1: out here that money Carlo put together? Care about me
- 51:33Speaker 1: pounding them South Central blocks? Yeah, this guy did get
- 51:36Speaker 1: a new money Carlo. Yeah. That the bubble back window. Yeah,
- 51:41Speaker 1: the bubble back window. Look fly and you got a
- 51:44Speaker 1: deal on it. You're telling me you came up. Yeah. Yeah.
- 51:47Speaker 1: When I told oh boy, I'm like yeah, Bro. Like
- 51:51Speaker 1: the bank that I'm with, they don't really give out.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I got an order to cash, so it's like, Bro,
- 51:55Speaker 1: I ain't finna be able to Can I give you
- 51:59Speaker 1: a cash here check? And he like, uh man, you
- 52:02Speaker 1: I gotta go to the bank with you for that.
- 52:04Speaker 1: I'm like, listen, bro, my name is Parka. Wait wait
- 52:07Speaker 1: waitko everything what pen you was in? And wooty woo
- 52:12Speaker 1: woo whoop. I'm like the lain of like nigga this
- 52:16Speaker 1: this It was one of my pottoners. I was in
- 52:19Speaker 1: the pen with and ship. Oh ship, it worked out.
- 52:23Speaker 1: It worked out, like I got that ship. So when
- 52:26Speaker 1: you get a new car, do you sell a car
- 52:28Speaker 1: or do you just keep them all? Yeah? I don't.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I never sold a car on my life. You know,
- 52:33Speaker 1: if you were to sell a car, never, now is
- 52:35Speaker 1: the time. Either give sh away. You're giving cars away, ship,
- 52:40Speaker 1: get fucking totaled out. Uh it go to the impound.
- 52:45Speaker 1: If I ain't got no license, I didn't go get
- 52:47Speaker 1: it like this or I yeah you had you had
- 52:50Speaker 1: a carget this, You had a car you impounded and
- 52:52Speaker 1: you just left it. Yeah, hell yeah, plenty times a
- 52:55Speaker 1: lit when I didn't have no license. That's terrible. I'm
- 52:59Speaker 1: never so want a carver, Well, you know, just give
- 53:02Speaker 1: it to somebody. There's a chip. There's a chip shortage
- 53:04Speaker 1: right now. So if you wanted to sell, that'd be
- 53:06Speaker 1: the time because cars are fucking I know my truck
- 53:08Speaker 1: like thirty thousand more than what I got it for
- 53:10Speaker 1: right now, sell it. But it's like I don't even
- 53:14Speaker 1: care to sell it. Might as well, extra, get that
- 53:17Speaker 1: extra thirty. Let me get another car. See with me
- 53:23Speaker 1: and cars, it's a different convo. It's like, I just
- 53:26Speaker 1: like having the motherfuckers, So it's like it's like a
- 53:28Speaker 1: real bond. It seems like like some wraps and some
- 53:32Speaker 1: T shirts and you can't let go the extra thirty
- 53:36Speaker 1: other ship. But it's like, I just like cars, bro,
- 53:41Speaker 1: are you because you're obviously I'm gonna get a warehouse
- 53:44Speaker 1: soon and just go up the same way speer. Dude,
- 53:46Speaker 1: it's gonna be like fucking garage. Jaylen will be right
- 53:50Speaker 1: around Burbank all the time in the most wild ass
- 53:52Speaker 1: car should That's really where my uh my passion at
- 53:58Speaker 1: in my life. Like you're just gonna see me in
- 54:00Speaker 1: vehicles like moving. I figured it out. That's what I'm
- 54:03Speaker 1: doing outside of his music ship, but you know, spend
- 54:08Speaker 1: all my money on that. I feel like like, when
- 54:11Speaker 1: you're on rock Nation, you know, this guy's got fucking
- 54:16Speaker 1: his his thing ringing over there. No, when you're when
- 54:20Speaker 1: you're on rock Nation, I feel like, you know, I
- 54:22Speaker 1: feel like you have your core fan base and you
- 54:25Speaker 1: you're really really you're I don't want to call you,
- 54:30Speaker 1: but I'm saying I think about it trying to find
- 54:32Speaker 1: a single, like you are historically a West Coast sonic sonically,
- 54:39Speaker 1: that's where your base is, right, that's the music you make, right.
- 54:42Speaker 1: And I feel like sometimes when you have a fucking
- 54:45Speaker 1: hardcore fan base the way you do, it's it's easy
- 54:49Speaker 1: to start chasing Atlanta or Toronto or New York or
- 54:55Speaker 1: all this ship. And when you do that, you start
- 54:58Speaker 1: fucking souring people who keep the lights on exactly. I
- 55:03Speaker 1: fell into that ship. How you want it, how you
- 55:05Speaker 1: feel I hate that fucking record, fucking um big stacks,
- 55:11Speaker 1: big stacks, just like chasing the fucking family, like supposed
- 55:14Speaker 1: to just trying to get a single right, and it's
- 55:17Speaker 1: like the ship that we do and just throw it
- 55:19Speaker 1: out as stream warning all that shit, you know what
- 55:21Speaker 1: I'm saying, with no money put into it. So it's like, yeah,
- 55:25Speaker 1: I gotta just stick to the core because asn't say,
- 55:28Speaker 1: are you worried about like like does that even concern
- 55:30Speaker 1: you to ever even try? Like, because I feel like
- 55:33Speaker 1: you just keep doing what you're doing and like that
- 55:35Speaker 1: shit will just come on its own exactly, like the
- 55:37Speaker 1: world will come to you as opposed to you trying
- 55:39Speaker 1: to force your way into like getting played a Magic
- 55:42Speaker 1: City or some shit, you know, right, Yeah, I told
- 55:44Speaker 1: myself this, I said, with the with the amount of
- 55:47Speaker 1: work that we're putting in and just all the different
- 55:49Speaker 1: ship that we bring into the culture, you know what
- 55:52Speaker 1: I mean, And we're making it noticeable instead of doing
- 55:56Speaker 1: it you know, in a uh like in a passive way.
- 56:01Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. We like letting our nuts
- 56:02Speaker 1: hang right about get credit to give yourself credit exactly
- 56:07Speaker 1: because it's like, would you rather just be like a
- 56:09Speaker 1: nigga that's overrated or underrated? But anyway, I've been telling myself,
- 56:15Speaker 1: like I know, I'm an influencer entire generation, whether it's
- 56:19Speaker 1: now or it might happen after my time. You know
- 56:23Speaker 1: what I'm saying, I might be long going, and I
- 56:25Speaker 1: just influenced a whole entire all these niggas sampling me
- 56:28Speaker 1: and what was g thinking and you know what I'm saying,
- 56:31Speaker 1: So that's what I'll be thinking about. Like I know that,
- 56:35Speaker 1: like it's gonna be a gang of motherfucker's inspired by
- 56:37Speaker 1: what I do, how I think, and the ship that
- 56:39Speaker 1: I'm saying, you know what I'm saying. So that's my
- 56:43Speaker 1: whole like that's my driving force behind it, Like it's
- 56:46Speaker 1: bigger than it just a quick song, because like I
- 56:48Speaker 1: know how to get on, how to get money, Like
- 56:51Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, we've established It's like
- 56:55Speaker 1: I be thinking, like what do I be doing it?
- 56:57Speaker 1: I'll just be getting money. I don't even but some
- 57:02Speaker 1: reason I always got money with my boy Mike. Say
- 57:06Speaker 1: ship like that, shout out to Mike Apps, Indianapolis's finest
- 57:11Speaker 1: right there, We'll ship. So what's what's next for more
- 57:16Speaker 1: these motherfuckers right here? You know what I'm saying. We're
- 57:20Speaker 1: finna get high as ship the rest of the day,
- 57:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean, And fuck the day off
- 57:25Speaker 1: and get back to it tomorrow. There is what's up?
- 57:29Speaker 1: What's up with you guys? Got some what's any placements
- 57:33Speaker 1: coming down the pipeline? Yeah, I got a couple of stuff.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Like I'm I'm really trying to get my stuff off
- 57:39Speaker 1: the ground, like working on getting a little situation with
- 57:41Speaker 1: the Empire and then like just putting out stuff with
- 57:45Speaker 1: my you know, like artists I would work with, you know. Yeah,
- 57:48Speaker 1: I feel like you you guys shrooms making the light
- 57:52Speaker 1: brighter or something. I feel like there's no, like like, like,
- 57:55Speaker 1: you know, the approach I've been taking with my producer,
- 57:58Speaker 1: I work with Tony Chalkers, Like, I'm like, bro, So
- 58:01Speaker 1: you know, we did a whole album with the artist
- 58:03Speaker 1: named Caski who used to be signing cash Money white
- 58:05Speaker 1: Boy chatted a fire as fuck, but he's got a
- 58:07Speaker 1: crazy following, right, So we did the whole album and
- 58:10Speaker 1: I was like, look, we'll just do it just he
- 58:11Speaker 1: got to be primary artists on there with you. So
- 58:14Speaker 1: like on Spotify, if you go to my producer's profile,
- 58:17Speaker 1: it is lit as fuck, like he got like one
- 58:19Speaker 1: hundred and fifty thousand monthly listeners, and so now we
- 58:22Speaker 1: can start charging for least, now you got a beats.
- 58:25Speaker 1: And so we did a whole album with Demrick, who's
- 58:27Speaker 1: from La you know, and he's primary artist on the album.
- 58:30Speaker 1: It's like, you know, but you gotta do y'all gotta
- 58:33Speaker 1: do the same shit, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 58:35Speaker 1: start building up that artist that that's those Spotify profiles,
- 58:39Speaker 1: because if people go and see j Nari's profile and
- 58:42Speaker 1: you got two hundred and fifty thousand monthly listeners, they're like,
- 58:44Speaker 1: oh shit, what's going on here? I be looking at
- 58:48Speaker 1: yeah like Jane got shited cracking and look up with
- 58:51Speaker 1: million monthly right, eight hundred monthly listeners. And then that
- 58:54Speaker 1: gives you the opportunity that if you're leasing beats, you're
- 58:57Speaker 1: doing whatever you'd be like, yo, man, like I got
- 58:59Speaker 1: I got cattle law too, Like outside of my placements,
- 59:02Speaker 1: I got catalog as like a real collaborative artist on
- 59:06Speaker 1: this ship. You know what I'm saying, So get on him.
- 59:08Speaker 1: So when y'all drop these records, y'all are primary artists
- 59:12Speaker 1: on the joints. You know what I'm saying, It's all
- 59:13Speaker 1: on him. It's him by right that being said, I
- 59:21Speaker 1: gotta take a piss take one of these rooms. Dog,
- 59:24Speaker 1: we should be I gotta draft this whole interview. We
- 59:27Speaker 1: gotta damn near restart this ship. I gotta drift to
- 59:30Speaker 1: take some shrooms. Brod the Phoenix right now, I take one.
- 59:33Speaker 1: You gotta drive the Phoenix. Yeah, my nieces Kencineida is
- 59:37Speaker 1: going there. It ain't even Frida sweet sixteen. I know
- 59:41Speaker 1: about the all. Huh. You know I love Hispanic girls.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Hey man, shout out to my one of these things,
- 59:48Speaker 1: you Parico came from like shot to my wife. My Hispanic.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Well not even that wasn't my girlfriend, just somebody I
- 59:55Speaker 1: was boning back in the day. She called you Perico.
- 59:58Speaker 1: She she told me how to spell it. I used
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: to spell it wrong, damn you know what I mean.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: She's like, oh, I had it on headbands and wristbands
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: this when I was like a teenager and ship. She's like,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: are you spelling it wrong? How you spell it? I'm like, okay,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I spelled it with a D. I see O P
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I D what I forgot? It was like I was
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: niggat I was. And she's like, nah, you spell it
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: like this. You know what I'm saying. And yeah, but
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I have nothing to say about your statement you just
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: made because I don't know what that means. The Blue
