- 0:05Speaker 2: I don't have any Why share your sup and we
- 0:08Speaker 2: hold the world ransom for.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Excuse me while I whipped.
- 0:13Speaker 4: This out.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Broadcasting live and it led her to Georgia to this. This
- 0:19Speaker 3: is the Sports Shock Ship with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:23Speaker 5: You may began.
- 0:27Speaker 6: Show come so far comes it comes along.
- 0:33Speaker 7: Isn't just.
- 0:37Speaker 8: I'm a doing?
- 0:39Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you made Vegan.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome.
- 0:46Speaker 10: You're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 0:49Speaker 10: Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you out there and
- 0:52Speaker 10: listening land. We are so glad to be back. We
- 0:56Speaker 10: had a little life lesson to take us away. Our
- 1:02Speaker 10: man and my long time running mate here on the show,
- 1:07Speaker 10: Big Kenny, our hearts for your family, and you know,
- 1:13Speaker 10: we start with the things that's important around here before
- 1:16Speaker 10: we get around to this this crazy world we call
- 1:20Speaker 10: sports entertainment having issue in his life. So we've been
- 1:25Speaker 10: off air here last couple of shows. You know, old school,
- 1:30Speaker 10: like Big Kenny. That's the old school way where people
- 1:33Speaker 10: used to actually turn down their music when they rode
- 1:36Speaker 10: by the cemetery. I know, y'all like what you're talking about.
- 1:39Speaker 10: I forget them days. See a cemetery turned your music down.
- 1:45Speaker 10: People that what you can do is not comanch Greg forty.
- 1:49Speaker 10: So maybe not in Oklahoma, but here.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It's very ceremony.
- 1:54Speaker 10: And but they used to Yeah, you know, if you
- 1:58Speaker 10: saw hers, you pulled over, yes and let them pass.
- 2:01Speaker 10: If you sow anything dealing with that, you used to
- 2:04Speaker 10: give it a little more respect. Now and now as
- 2:06Speaker 10: you know, you can literally get murdered at a funeral.
- 2:12Speaker 10: Who ever knew that? That's just never something that you
- 2:15Speaker 10: actually getting murdered. I tell people it used to be
- 2:18Speaker 10: like Highlander, that was hollow ground, Like, Okay, we're just
- 2:23Speaker 10: gonna break right now, and then when we leave here
- 2:26Speaker 10: we can get back to it. But as long as
- 2:28Speaker 10: the pastor.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Preaching, yeah, we're gonna chip, we're gonna chill, but we're
- 2:32Speaker 3: not even gonna think about doing it over there.
- 2:34Speaker 10: But from the Sports Shock Show, for me personally, Big Kenny,
- 2:38Speaker 10: sorry for your loss, sir, but we are glad to
- 2:42Speaker 10: be back on the show. We got some old and
- 2:44Speaker 10: some new to talk about. First and foremost, we have
- 2:48Speaker 10: to give a shout out to Pete Rose. Stop acting
- 2:53Speaker 10: like if you're my age, if you're between the ages
- 2:55Speaker 10: of forty five and sixty two, Pete Rose was an icon.
- 3:03Speaker 10: He had all of us out there trying to go
- 3:05Speaker 10: head first into second base. Yeah, if anybody's trying to
- 3:10Speaker 10: fit every little league like that major League Baseball. They
- 3:17Speaker 10: then they banned the head first slide and look like,
- 3:20Speaker 10: you can't run over the catcher though like he did.
- 3:23Speaker 10: Oh yeah, yeah you can't. You can't run into the
- 3:26Speaker 10: catcher purposely try to knock the ball out like Charlie Hustle.
- 3:29Speaker 1: They banned that. He used to actually punch a guy
- 3:33Speaker 1: like run and they.
- 3:35Speaker 10: Said they didn't have that didn't have anything to do
- 3:38Speaker 10: with baseball that kind of physically.
- 3:40Speaker 3: How many times did did the catcher drop the ball
- 3:44Speaker 3: pretty often back then? Yourn I would like to submit
- 3:49Speaker 3: that is evident. If that, if that can increase my
- 3:52Speaker 3: ability to score, I think they should have left it in.
- 3:55Speaker 11: Well.
- 3:55Speaker 10: Pete Rose passing away about a week ago, now eighty
- 3:59Speaker 10: three years years of age, was Pete Rose. Now, I guess,
- 4:03Speaker 10: as I've always said, as soon as Pete Rose passes,
- 4:06Speaker 10: I'm quite sure we'll hear something about baseball induction. But
- 4:10Speaker 10: they were definitely set not to let Charlie Hustle into
- 4:14Speaker 10: the Hall of Fame.
- 4:16Speaker 1: While he was alive.
- 4:18Speaker 10: Now we will see how long it takes for the
- 4:22Speaker 10: man who has more hits than anyone in the history
- 4:25Speaker 10: of baseball. Which is so, it's so sports is interesting.
- 4:32Speaker 10: It's a very interesting world that you can be banned
- 4:35Speaker 10: for one thing that is more something you can really
- 4:41Speaker 10: bounce back from. You know, you can get a full
- 4:45Speaker 10: year for gamba, but you only get two games for
- 4:52Speaker 10: attempted murder. You can beat your girlfriend for two games. Listen,
- 5:01Speaker 10: but if you pace that bet on this Stiller Falcon game.
- 5:07Speaker 3: And see. I think a lot of people want to
- 5:11Speaker 3: equate the crimes and you know, beating up girlfriends, attempted murder.
- 5:15Speaker 1: We've all done that, Am I right? Am I right?
- 5:18Speaker 3: We've all beat up a girlfriend. We've all tried to
- 5:23Speaker 3: kill somebody. Gambling on your own team, now we look,
- 5:29Speaker 3: I'm just saying a little bit of murder, a little
- 5:31Speaker 3: bit of domestic violence, okay this America, but gambling on
- 5:35Speaker 3: your own team.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And they really treated Charlie Hustle horrible about that?
- 5:39Speaker 3: And do you think that he should, or his legacy,
- 5:43Speaker 3: his estate should accept an invitation into the Baseball Hall
- 5:48Speaker 3: of Fame. You didn't let him see it. We don't
- 5:51Speaker 3: want you to benefit from his image and likeness in Cooperstown.
- 5:55Speaker 10: Well, I think that from what we see, Pete wanted
- 5:59Speaker 10: to be in So you have to you have to
- 6:03Speaker 10: go with what his wishes would be. Someone wants to
- 6:07Speaker 10: be cremated and you know that, then you have to
- 6:11Speaker 10: cremate them. You can't just decide now that you're going
- 6:15Speaker 10: to do your sensibility. That's wrong.
- 6:16Speaker 1: He ain't never told me nothing about this.
- 6:19Speaker 3: He ain't never told me.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't know about that. But Thursday Night Football is tonight.
- 6:25Speaker 10: The forty nine ers who with injuries and that's something
- 6:29Speaker 10: that's so interesting, as we'll talk about the show today,
- 6:31Speaker 10: different injuries that the NFL and the powers that be
- 6:35Speaker 10: went out changed all these rules. Basically nobody plays in
- 6:41Speaker 10: the preseason. They change practice where you can't do this
- 6:44Speaker 10: kind of hitting. But it's so many people still about
- 6:49Speaker 10: the same amount of people on the injury list. They're
- 6:51Speaker 10: out right, and that's what the forty nine ers. Once again,
- 6:55Speaker 10: no matter what the rules are, it seems they can
- 6:58Speaker 10: never and I've said this about for the last three
- 7:02Speaker 10: four years. Everything about where they want to go is
- 7:05Speaker 10: about health. And once again, in the first five games,
- 7:10Speaker 10: or four games for them five games they have been
- 7:14Speaker 10: injury at the injury and when healthy, they are really,
- 7:19Speaker 10: in my opinion, the most dangerous team in the NFC.
- 7:23Speaker 10: But that's just something that's hard for them to do.
- 7:25Speaker 10: But tonight they're taking on Geno Smith, who is a
- 7:29Speaker 10: former j E.
- 7:30Speaker 12: T s.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Chats Chats checks.
- 7:32Speaker 10: And that is a big topic we would talk about.
- 7:36Speaker 10: When would you like to address that big Kenny, because
- 7:38Speaker 10: I see you got the shirt on, so.
- 7:40Speaker 3: We're going to let you decide would you like to
- 7:42Speaker 3: do that next segment A wait a little longer distracting
- 7:47Speaker 3: with some the Big Mac Chicken sandwich.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Well, sir, would you like to get that in first?
- 7:53Speaker 1: You tell me when you like.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I'm a little bit on the fence about that Big
- 7:57Speaker 3: Mac Chicken sale, which I don't know if that's legal
- 7:59Speaker 3: yet it comes out day, I see, I don't know
- 8:01Speaker 3: if that league once to come out and the world know,
- 8:04Speaker 3: then I get involved.
- 8:05Speaker 1: But if after SEC go.
- 8:07Speaker 3: To coming through, the don't talking about that relation for
- 8:09Speaker 3: the Big Mac Chicken sandwich, I don't know nothing about that.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I don't want to get involved, but we could talk
- 8:14Speaker 1: about the Jets uh.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Next segment segment after that we can do it. Might
- 8:20Speaker 3: will get it out the way the next segment, next sement,
- 8:23Speaker 3: we can when we come back from commercial. The travesty
- 8:26Speaker 3: that is, so when we come back, when we come
- 8:28Speaker 3: back from commercial, slowly, easy do it. You know, let's
- 8:34Speaker 3: have some compassion now to come jumping to it.
- 8:38Speaker 10: So we got that to talk about in a big way,
- 8:41Speaker 10: the imagination of people and how instantly it fell at
- 8:46Speaker 10: the feet of Aaron Rodgers, the roomor meal of what
- 8:50Speaker 10: he and the Jets have decided to fire as of
- 8:56Speaker 10: a couple of days ago, Robert Sala, the head coach
- 9:00Speaker 10: who just couldn't get this team in the right direction.
- 9:03Speaker 10: But that and much more on the Sports Jock Show,
- 9:05Speaker 10: when we come back from break, Big Kenny, command you
- 9:08Speaker 10: Greg in the building, whip me.
- 9:10Speaker 1: We'll be right back.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Reason if it won't. We want play every day, even
- 9:14Speaker 3: on the subway.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I would have got a summers but I ran a
- 9:18Speaker 5: wing on the stone keeping you up a goal.
- 9:21Speaker 3: But I know I can't live with im.
- 9:23Speaker 13: A radio.
- 9:26Speaker 14: John't goo Awayne born of The Sports John Show, with
- 9:28Speaker 14: Wayne Dambidius coming up next.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I want I gonna go and go.
- 9:34Speaker 6: But returning military vets, they've served our country at home
- 9:38Speaker 6: and abroad.

- 11:41Speaker 1: Walk a mile in my shoes, Walk a mile in

- 11:45Speaker 13: We've all felt left out, and for some that feeling

- 12:02Speaker 3: And now back to the Sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 12:08Speaker 6: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by Mattress HEROESUSA
- 12:11Speaker 6: dot com The sleep you deserve at a price you
- 12:13Speaker 6: can afford.
- 12:15Speaker 18: No, no, no, no.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Now it's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 12:18Speaker 3: on the Sports Jock Shows. Taken it to a completely
- 12:21Speaker 3: different level this year where we highlight an accolade that
- 12:24Speaker 3: has taken their game to the next level. Take this
- 12:35Speaker 3: one hand familiar lot to shot shot to this morning,
- 12:39Speaker 3: cron I'm to tell this female that shot the shot
- 12:44Speaker 3: Wayne game morning. Tell you out there it is Thursday.
- 12:47Speaker 3: It's a little chili here in Atlanta. Fall has fondly
- 12:51Speaker 3: reared his head. Uh, it is a little chili here
- 12:54Speaker 3: supposed to.
- 12:55Speaker 10: But pretty weather for our people in Florida down in
- 13:00Speaker 10: Hurricane Milton, which is causing just as much damage as
- 13:06Speaker 10: the last storm, which was what ten days ago, Hurricane
- 13:12Speaker 10: Helene Lean.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Which is right. Milton is right behind that. And for
- 13:18Speaker 1: you that.
- 13:20Speaker 10: Forgot Katrina, that was the lesson of Katrina. Katrina showed
- 13:28Speaker 10: us that it's not our will, it's the way of
- 13:33Speaker 10: the world. And it's been twenty years now almost for Katrina.
- 13:40Speaker 10: I was part of the Saints team at that time,
- 13:42Speaker 10: and basically for us that had decided that we were
- 13:48Speaker 10: better than whether we are stronger, it reminded us, no,
- 13:52Speaker 10: you need to have a little go bag. You need
- 13:55Speaker 10: to have as based best as possible because you got
- 13:58Speaker 10: to realize first responder to those you're putting those people
- 14:01Speaker 10: in danger as well. So it's amazing that the governor,
- 14:05Speaker 10: the mayor's, the city councilmen, people got to go on
- 14:08Speaker 10: air and beg you to leave the storm area just
- 14:13Speaker 10: based on that, and you forget. If you stay, it
- 14:16Speaker 10: makes those people have to come out when you call
- 14:19Speaker 10: to try to rescue you. So the more people that leave,
- 14:23Speaker 10: it keeps a lot of other people out of harm's
- 14:26Speaker 10: way as well from the storm. So hopefully when this
- 14:33Speaker 10: storm passes, it won't be and I mean bad producer
- 14:37Speaker 10: is up in Asheville last week helping out is one
- 14:40Speaker 10: of those places that Helene hit and nobody really spoke about.
- 14:46Speaker 10: But a lot of damaged, a lot of loss of
- 14:48Speaker 10: life in that area where some people speculate the numbers
- 14:54Speaker 10: of how many people have passed really never registered. It
- 15:01Speaker 10: could be up to where whole families passed or there
- 15:04Speaker 10: was no one to report. Sometimes we forget somebody has to.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Report that you're not Yeah, until someone who's doing recovery
- 15:13Speaker 3: and all that fine.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I think it's interesting something that.
- 15:18Speaker 3: You were just speaking about the first responders having to
- 15:23Speaker 3: come out and rescue you, something that I've become aware
- 15:27Speaker 3: of in this new what seems like a repetitive cycle
- 15:31Speaker 3: of natural disaster, like you say, Helene was what ten
- 15:34Speaker 3: days ago, twelve days ago, and here we come with
- 15:37Speaker 3: a whole other category four or five hurricane. Is the
- 15:43Speaker 3: civic authority saying that there will be no one to
- 15:47Speaker 3: come get you, like if you designed to stay, that's
- 15:50Speaker 3: on you. It won't be you know, in a few days,
- 15:53Speaker 3: or you're going to put our lives in danger. We
- 15:55Speaker 3: refuse to endanger the lives of our first responders. When
- 15:59Speaker 3: we've told you to get out of there, We've given
- 16:01Speaker 3: you the plan, we've got resources in place, And I
- 16:05Speaker 3: think that's a new direction for civil defense when it
- 16:11Speaker 3: comes to evacuations.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Is now, if you don't leave.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Then you have sort of it's almost like by clicking
- 16:18Speaker 3: you agree, you know what I'm saying, By not evacuating,
- 16:21Speaker 3: you agree to be responsible for yourself.
- 16:24Speaker 10: Well, the forty nine ers and the Seahawks doing battle
- 16:26Speaker 10: in a division game tonight, where you really feel like
- 16:31Speaker 10: for what the expectations of the forty nine ers who
- 16:34Speaker 10: are two and three feel like they could do with
- 16:37Speaker 10: this team. It's getting to that point of a must
- 16:40Speaker 10: win kind of mindset for that team who's been dealing
- 16:43Speaker 10: with a lot of injuries. Geno Smith and the Seahawks
- 16:48Speaker 10: at this point kind of anonymous team. Don't know a
- 16:52Speaker 10: lot of their players. When you think about who the
- 16:55Speaker 10: Seahawks are since the legion of Boom Left, Russell Wilson,
- 17:00Speaker 10: Marshawn Lynch that era, it's become a less popular known team.
- 17:06Speaker 10: But they're having a solid season so far at three
- 17:09Speaker 10: and two. The Jets, as we talked about the New
- 17:13Speaker 10: York Jets, who this is what happened with the Jets.
- 17:19Speaker 10: It's called the Achilles tendon. The window of what you
- 17:25Speaker 10: thought you were going to do was last year that team,
- 17:31Speaker 10: the last year team that model was the team that
- 17:36Speaker 10: you felt like if you plugged a veteran like Aaron
- 17:40Speaker 10: Rodgers in, you could do great things. You're trying to
- 17:45Speaker 10: add like this is the start, but no, this is
- 17:49Speaker 10: actually part two. And as we know in the movie business,
- 17:52Speaker 10: entertainment business, part two fail the franchise.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Sometimes it doesn't live up too the first.
- 18:01Speaker 10: And that's what, at least for now, the Jets are
- 18:04Speaker 10: showing you. This is part two. Aaron Rodgers is a
- 18:06Speaker 10: year older. And when you get older in sports, the
- 18:11Speaker 10: one thing they don't talk about is that you get comfortable,
- 18:15Speaker 10: you get far away. It was already hard to get
- 18:18Speaker 10: Aaron Rodgers to focus. Remember, Aaron Rodgers was one contract,
- 18:23Speaker 10: one vote away from hosting.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Jeopardy.
- 18:28Speaker 10: In Jeopardy, he was letting you know where his mind
- 18:31Speaker 10: was going. He was setting up his second career. When
- 18:36Speaker 10: you think about it, I believe that they had offered
- 18:38Speaker 10: him the job. That's where you would have to be.
- 18:42Speaker 10: He'd be gone the last two years. Then he went
- 18:44Speaker 10: to the Jets to make those Jeopardy people.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Sorry, I'll teach them, teach them not to let me
- 18:51Speaker 3: host their little game show.
- 18:52Speaker 10: But I played football. But this is not last year.
- 18:55Speaker 10: This is this year, and the expectations of Aaron Rodgers
- 18:59Speaker 10: should be lower. Word we always seem to now in
- 19:03Speaker 10: our society, take for granted the exception, and we make
- 19:08Speaker 10: the exception the rule. We saw Tom Brady win a
- 19:12Speaker 10: Super Bowl as an old man, so we decided now,
- 19:15Speaker 10: any old quarterback that's going to the Hall of Fame
- 19:17Speaker 10: can do that, and that's just not true. And maybe
- 19:22Speaker 10: that would have been true without the injury last year.
- 19:25Speaker 10: He could have pulled that off. But this is not
- 19:29Speaker 10: the Jets team that they thought last year was going
- 19:32Speaker 10: to get them where they wanted to go. And it's
- 19:35Speaker 10: not as easy as you think for a quarterback and
- 19:38Speaker 10: a receiver. Why do you think Devonte Adams as we
- 19:42Speaker 10: talk about it, where is he looking? He's looking to
- 19:44Speaker 10: go back to two quarterbacks that he's already played with.
- 19:48Speaker 10: When they tell you the two hottest spots for him
- 19:52Speaker 10: is the Jets, which would be his old Green Bay
- 19:55Speaker 10: quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and the Saints, which would have been
- 19:58Speaker 10: his old raiderquarterback and college quarterback as well. That's where
- 20:05Speaker 10: he wants to go because they already know where he
- 20:08Speaker 10: likes the ball.
- 20:09Speaker 1: But we'll come back.
- 20:10Speaker 10: We'll talk about the firing and Robert Salah, Aaron Rodgers,
- 20:15Speaker 10: the changing up guard at Oakland, and a lot of places.
- 20:18Speaker 10: Deshaun Watson, man, I don't know what you got on
- 20:22Speaker 10: him up there, but somebody need to be I mean,
- 20:26Speaker 10: at least for a quarter and we'll get him. Just
- 20:29Speaker 10: sit over here for a half maybe just see if
- 20:33Speaker 10: that'll wake him up. But we'll be back more to
- 20:35Speaker 10: Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 23:36Speaker 10: Wel right to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 23:39Speaker 10: Shock Wayne Canty. Good morning to you once again. Thursday
- 23:42Speaker 10: night football. Remember forty nine ers taking on the Seahawks.
- 23:47Speaker 20: Uh.
- 23:47Speaker 10: Tonight the w n B A final start. The Minnesota
- 23:52Speaker 10: Links will be going to the New York Liberty.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Uh.
- 23:56Speaker 10: The thing I like about just like the first couple
- 23:59Speaker 10: of rounds of baseball the WNBA, I like about them.
- 24:04Speaker 10: I like the shorter, more intense series. I like the
- 24:10Speaker 10: best of three. I like the best of five. It
- 24:15Speaker 10: makes you right now. Whatever you're gonna do, you're gonna
- 24:19Speaker 10: need to do it right now. We're not gonna put
- 24:22Speaker 10: you in this long best of seven. The NBA tries
- 24:25Speaker 10: to milk try some of you milk well.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Some of people. They've added, even the what is it
- 24:34Speaker 1: where they.
- 24:34Speaker 10: Play the little to play in tournament to get around
- 24:39Speaker 10: to some seven game series when they used to be
- 24:43Speaker 10: twenty years ago. The great the Kembi Matambo, who passed
- 24:46Speaker 10: away about ten days ago. As well, the same day
- 24:51Speaker 10: that Pete Rose passed away to Kimmy Matambo. One of
- 24:54Speaker 10: the big moments was his Denver Nuggets beat I maybe
- 24:59Speaker 10: the Laker and they beat a Seattle Seattle which was
- 25:03Speaker 10: Gary Payton, Sean Kimp, that Seattle team that was one
- 25:08Speaker 10: of the top two or three teams in the league
- 25:10Speaker 10: back then. In a first round, but it was the
- 25:14Speaker 10: best of fire. It gave that underdog a shorter series
- 25:18Speaker 10: to work with, yea man, because it's hard to beat
- 25:22Speaker 10: the Michael Jordan of the Magic Johnson, the you know,
- 25:27Speaker 10: the Golden State Warrior teams in a seven and then series,
- 25:32Speaker 10: but in.
- 25:32Speaker 1: A five we might have a chance.
- 25:35Speaker 3: And then after they play those seven game series the
- 25:38Speaker 3: next round of play, people complain that it's lackluster or
- 25:43Speaker 3: they don't seem to have the energy. They just played
- 25:47Speaker 3: seven games and I got to play at least seven
- 25:50Speaker 3: more if it, you know, if somebody doesn't just sweep.
- 25:54Speaker 10: So And that's why I'm just saying I like the WNA.
- 25:57Speaker 10: I like the Early Baseball, yes, because they're best of five,
- 26:01Speaker 10: best of three. The WNBA is best of five and
- 26:05Speaker 10: they're all ready to the finals. You have to play
- 26:08Speaker 10: your best right now. And it just makes to me
- 26:12Speaker 10: more intensity when I got to do it now than
- 26:16Speaker 10: seven so WNBA Finals start to night Links and Liberty.
- 26:22Speaker 10: We're talking about New York, We're talking about the Jets.
- 26:24Speaker 10: We're talking about the firing of Robert Salah. Stop all
- 26:27Speaker 10: the conspiracies with Aaron Rodgers. If this was Green Bay,
- 26:32Speaker 10: I can see what you're saying. Aaron Rodgers don't have
- 26:35Speaker 10: no real strong other than his salary. What else does
- 26:40Speaker 10: he have his leverage as a jet?
- 26:46Speaker 1: I think that.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Until you ask the question, I would have been really,
- 26:53Speaker 3: really sure that this was all Aaron Rodgers because you
- 26:56Speaker 3: look at AFC East standings.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Jets or second, it's not like it's a super pow.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It's not very strong. It's not very strong. It's not huge,
- 27:05Speaker 1: the division is not huge. But it's the number two.
- 27:10Speaker 3: I mean, and and now I mean we gonna We're
- 27:14Speaker 3: gonna wait for a little while and see how things
- 27:17Speaker 3: turn out.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Uh, Patriots coach still got his job. So well, he
- 27:23Speaker 1: just got his job. Yeah, but he still only won
- 27:25Speaker 1: one game.
- 27:26Speaker 3: And you know, I'm saying, if we're gonna go by
- 27:29Speaker 3: just the results up to this point.
- 27:32Speaker 10: Has has Robert Salah had a winning season. No, he's
- 27:35Speaker 10: been the head coach there five years. Correct, this was
- 27:39Speaker 10: the year three? This was and that's what I'm saying.
- 27:41Speaker 10: This was only year three and and see that makes
- 27:43Speaker 10: it even worse. Now, see and this is for me,
- 27:46Speaker 10: this is this is the who was the coach before that?
- 27:53Speaker 3: Not? It wasn't Todd Bowles, Toy Bowles was. Who was
- 27:58Speaker 3: the coach before Robert Sala slo I don't know. And
- 28:06Speaker 3: see that's what I'm saying. Robert Sala came in. This
- 28:09Speaker 3: is his third year and his second year is when
- 28:12Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers blew out his achilles. So you know, we
- 28:16Speaker 3: had that first year with that spark and everybody was
- 28:18Speaker 3: thinking this might be the direction. Then we got Aaron
- 28:21Speaker 3: Rodgers and everybody's like, yeah, this is definitely direction. He
- 28:25Speaker 3: blew his achilles. And what it is?
- 28:29Speaker 21: Adam GASEO who Adam Gase he was?
- 28:33Speaker 1: I missed that era.
- 28:35Speaker 21: It was only for two seasons. It was Todd Bowles
- 28:39Speaker 21: before Adam Gase But no he was, uh he was
- 28:43Speaker 21: the offense.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Course. This is Roberts fourth year. This is okay, year four,
- 28:47Speaker 1: this is year four.
- 28:48Speaker 10: Yes, and his record is twenty and thirty six twenty
- 28:55Speaker 10: and thirty six. This is fourth year, right, there is
- 29:00Speaker 10: I can get rid of you. Wake now, Wake now.
- 29:02Speaker 10: His record is say that again, twenty and thirty six,
- 29:05Speaker 10: twenty and thirty six. How many of those losses are
- 29:08Speaker 10: from this season?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Three? Three?
- 29:12Speaker 3: So he was twenty and thirty three at the beginning
- 29:14Speaker 3: of the season before it started.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Why not cut it? You've been eighteen although, yeah, why
- 29:20Speaker 1: why not get rid of them?
- 29:21Speaker 3: Then?
- 29:21Speaker 1: No, I had turned the stove on.
- 29:23Speaker 3: It had turned stove on, started warming up the water,
- 29:27Speaker 3: and then look, man, game by game five, this.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Water boy had the thermostat in my hand.
- 29:32Speaker 3: I was about to check the temperature of the oil,
- 29:35Speaker 3: make sure it had reached the temperature before I dropped
- 29:37Speaker 3: the fish.
- 29:38Speaker 1: In right, And all of a sudden, I didn't.
- 29:41Speaker 10: I didn't alert you because I didn't need another distraction.
- 29:45Speaker 10: I already got enough distractions out here.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Let me get a piece of the hot fish.
- 29:50Speaker 3: I was just gonna cook the fish, but I had
- 29:53Speaker 3: turned the stove on. I just didn't alert you, man.
- 29:56Speaker 3: But you know, you know I bought all these gizzards.
- 29:59Speaker 3: You know I fun these gifzus. Was gonna use that
- 30:01Speaker 3: grease to Friday because you told me the draft, Sam Wilson.
- 30:05Speaker 3: What was his name, Sack Wilson. Did you tell me
- 30:07Speaker 3: the draft? Zack Wilson? And he ain't even here no more.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, this need this, need this.
- 30:18Speaker 3: None of them other boys we drafted, None of them
- 30:21Speaker 3: we drafted are still here.
- 30:22Speaker 10: I just think this is this is a lot to
- 30:24Speaker 10: put on Aaron Rodgers and his power, not saying that,
- 30:28Speaker 10: you know, maybe he could have answered the question, but
- 30:31Speaker 10: I doubt that he knew the guy on It's not
- 30:35Speaker 10: like he knew the guy they have made the head coach,
- 30:38Speaker 10: which is who the defensive coordinator.
- 30:40Speaker 21: Jeff olbrig Yeah, the defensive coordinator. But I think a
- 30:44Speaker 21: lot of people are bringing it the connection to Nathaniel Hackett,
- 30:48Speaker 21: the offensive coordinator who coach Air Roders in Green Bay
- 30:52Speaker 21: and that, and so they have a they have a connection.
- 30:57Speaker 21: So that's the main thing that people are using as
- 31:00Speaker 21: as his leverage, if that is leverage.
- 31:05Speaker 10: No me, I don't think. I think y'all are giving
- 31:08Speaker 10: too much credit. Y'all do too much of this conspiracy
- 31:10Speaker 10: theory to keep the media keeps things alive. And that's
- 31:15Speaker 10: just what you want it to be. You want it
- 31:17Speaker 10: to be as simple the more than Robert Sarlo is losing.
- 31:21Speaker 10: He's in year four. We've seen now in the modern
- 31:23Speaker 10: day sports where coaches get fired eight games into year one.
- 31:28Speaker 3: But when he pushed him, after Rogers pushed him, it
- 31:31Speaker 3: was all down here.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Everybody can see the division, They could see the chicken,
- 31:35Speaker 1: the all and they were like, he got to go.
- 31:38Speaker 10: I see a team that got a lot of love
- 31:44Speaker 10: for not doing anything, and people just started.
- 31:49Speaker 1: We do that now.
- 31:52Speaker 10: We take one year of someone doing something and we
- 31:55Speaker 10: anoint them to be Garrett Wilson and little young receiver.
- 32:00Speaker 10: He probably will end up being a great one, but
- 32:03Speaker 10: right now it doesn't seem like he can handle the accolades.
- 32:06Speaker 10: He can't handle the success. So the sauce gardener even
- 32:10Speaker 10: guard anybody? Anybody this your or is he just selling
- 32:13Speaker 10: hot sauce? Remember the best corner in the league.
- 32:19Speaker 3: And it's some pretty darn good hot sauce too.
- 32:21Speaker 10: So you know, is the old line blocking? Why don't
- 32:24Speaker 10: y'all run the ball? You do know you can't throw
- 32:26Speaker 10: the ball fifty four times with a forty one year
- 32:29Speaker 10: old quarterback.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Right Bam malaam. They gonna try it, They gonna.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Try it, And that's what y'all are losing and see
- 32:37Speaker 3: and now this is what I'm saying when we say
- 32:40Speaker 3: it's not Rogers. H you just jokingly pointed out some
- 32:47Speaker 3: other areas where there are some deficiencies.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Ain't nothing.
- 32:51Speaker 10: The people lost their job, right, same thing I said
- 32:57Speaker 10: with someone like al Deshaun Watson with Cleveland, any other
- 33:01Speaker 10: position would have been somebody that would have gone in
- 33:05Speaker 10: already to see if they could be play better. If
- 33:09Speaker 10: he was running back, he was a left tackle, right tackle,
- 33:13Speaker 10: a linebacker, they would have just made a move. They
- 33:16Speaker 10: don't have to justify to the media why they're not playing.
- 33:21Speaker 10: They just put a new guy in there see if
- 33:24Speaker 10: he can do a little better. Quarterback. I almost got
- 33:27Speaker 10: to get at the concert the Supreme Court to vote
- 33:33Speaker 10: that I can actually let someone go, especially if it's
- 33:36Speaker 10: Sam Rogers. So if you ran a team as though
- 33:42Speaker 10: as a team and it was built to win, then
- 33:44Speaker 10: you wouldn't have these problems. But since it's everybody thinks
- 33:48Speaker 10: that everything is won and lost by the quarterback, then
- 33:53Speaker 10: you know, when I gave Aaron Rodgers all that money,
- 33:55Speaker 10: I couldn't afford another position either. So stop looking over
- 33:59Speaker 10: there on sideline.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Ain't nothing. Over there.
- 34:01Speaker 3: It's all in his pocket.
- 34:03Speaker 1: It's all.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Solid right there. That's what That's what your money went
- 34:09Speaker 3: coman you, Greg, Are you gonna try the chicken, big Mac?
- 34:12Speaker 10: Just be honest? Hold on because you if you answer quick,
- 34:16Speaker 10: you're gonna lie. Take tooths.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna count the two. Do you think about it
- 34:21Speaker 1: and be honest?
- 34:24Speaker 22: One?
- 34:28Speaker 8: Two?
- 34:29Speaker 1: Okay, now you should have the correct answer. Are you
- 34:32Speaker 1: gonna try the two?
- 34:35Speaker 10: It's not all be two chicken breasts, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickle,
- 34:42Speaker 10: onions on a sesame seed bun.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Are you gonna try that?
- 34:47Speaker 4: Uh?
- 34:47Speaker 3: I'm interested to see. That's what I'm saying that Kenny,
- 34:50Speaker 3: we gotta take her. Are you gonna try?
- 34:54Speaker 1: For science?
- 34:59Speaker 3: Strictly in the interest of delivery the store to the
- 35:03Speaker 3: people I'm trying. I'm gonna jump, I'm gonna complete the circle.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna swing by there and just for curiosity, say
- 35:11Speaker 3: you got to see what the chicken, big man do?
- 35:14Speaker 18: Do?
- 35:15Speaker 1: See what it do? Yeh? Throw it against the wall.
- 35:17Speaker 3: See if you see the stick real quick and if
- 35:19Speaker 3: it and if it and if it go we might
- 35:22Speaker 3: have to come back and give it a thumbs up.
- 35:24Speaker 1: We'll be back more to the Sports Jock Show right
- 35:26Speaker 1: after this.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Have you had a friend that's your good quence every one?

- 35:46Speaker 3: The future depends on teachers.
- 35:48Speaker 16: Every day, teachers are shaping our tomorrows, starting their students
- 35:53Speaker 16: on journeys that will change the course of history. Right now,
- 35:57Speaker 16: in a classroom somewhere in the United States, there's a
- 36:00Speaker 16: teacher inspiring a future scientist who'll make preventing pandemics their
- 36:04Speaker 16: life's work, sharpening the mind of an aspiring environmentalist who'll
- 36:09Speaker 16: come back climate change, and generating possibilities for a student
- 36:13Speaker 16: who'll be the first in their family to graduate college.
- 36:17Speaker 16: It all starts with teachers who meet challenges with creativity,
- 36:21Speaker 16: who reinvent education for the future, who work towards a
- 36:24Speaker 16: school system that lives up every child, regardless of race, income,

- 37:55Speaker 23: to follow on his tracks. But when my grandpa was
- 37:57Speaker 23: diagnosed with Alzheimer's, it was a very unexpected bump.
- 37:59Speaker 1: In the road for us.

- 39:11Speaker 5: London say you can see a sports jaint. I'll sing
- 39:16Speaker 5: even Big Jenny, welcome.
- 39:19Speaker 10: Back to this spoy Shock Shuck the spoy Shock Wing game.
- 39:22Speaker 10: The last Friday, reports come out that a businessman here
- 39:27Speaker 10: in Atlanta, Calvin Dartin Junior, found guilty of fraud, bank fraud,
- 39:33Speaker 10: money laundering and two different conspiracy counts. This stems from
- 39:41Speaker 10: a combined eight million dollars, seven million of that coming
- 39:45Speaker 10: from Dwight Howard, the other from Chandler Parsons, former NBA
- 39:52Speaker 10: baller as well. I think those two were teammates down
- 39:55Speaker 10: in Houston at one point. Chandler Parsons in de Right Howard,
- 40:00Speaker 10: but mister Dartin found guilty in defrauding them this eight
- 40:06Speaker 10: million dollars. The prosecutors presented evidence that Dwight Howard had
- 40:14Speaker 10: sent this money him in Chandler Parsons and it was
- 40:18Speaker 10: supposed to go towards an effort to purchase the Atlanta
- 40:22Speaker 10: dream and I guess money went missing. Last time we
- 40:28Speaker 10: kind of saw something like this where the Gentlemen was
- 40:32Speaker 10: maybe about I want to say sixteen seventeen, maybe years ago,
- 40:37Speaker 10: the Gentleman had done something like this to some NFL players.
- 40:43Speaker 1: It might have been sooner than that, might have been
- 40:45Speaker 1: a little more recent. I think we were on air
- 40:49Speaker 1: with this show at the time.
- 40:51Speaker 3: The Gentleman, yeah, I was gonna say, he killed himself.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Committed suicide once they started to close in on him.
- 40:58Speaker 3: And he had gotten a number of NFL players, of
- 41:01Speaker 3: which only several came forward because of their level of embarrassment,
- 41:08Speaker 3: considering that they felt like, you know, people that portrayed
- 41:12Speaker 3: them and should be way more savvy. And when you
- 41:15Speaker 3: hear a Dwight Howard, someone who isn't brand new to this.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Dwight Howard's had a storied, i'd say, Hall of Fame
- 41:24Speaker 3: career with some notable teams and great success, and to
- 41:30Speaker 3: hear that someone was savvy enough to scam him would
- 41:34Speaker 3: lead you to believe that it's not just a dude
- 41:37Speaker 3: walking up to your nay man you want to buy
- 41:39Speaker 3: a watch.
- 41:40Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It's not the average clear
- 41:43Speaker 1: to pick out scheme.
- 41:45Speaker 10: And in these cases, a lot of times the gentlemen
- 41:49Speaker 10: they build up a rapport. Yeah, I can't say that.
- 41:52Speaker 10: They start off with the mindset that they're going to
- 41:56Speaker 10: rob you or fraud you. As much as is they
- 42:02Speaker 10: see you as a client, and then they take on
- 42:05Speaker 10: the personality of warning thinking they can stick to it,
- 42:09Speaker 10: stick it in there at some point because I do
- 42:13Speaker 10: it right out the gate, I'm gonna miss out on
- 42:15Speaker 10: a bigger target later. Now I don't know that this
- 42:18Speaker 10: is the case, but they had found that Darden had
- 42:21Speaker 10: purchased everything from a Lamborghini to a piano.
- 42:28Speaker 1: To a house in the trial, so we will see.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Now what would be the.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Because that's I think that's horrible when people trust you
- 42:43Speaker 3: to handle business for them and then you siphon money
- 42:46Speaker 3: away from them. Now, what is the money laundering part?
- 42:50Speaker 3: Because we've all done that, am I right? We've all
- 42:53Speaker 3: landed some money. I don't want to stand in judgment,
- 42:56Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, in the not in the
- 42:59Speaker 3: Senate to Cayman's kind of way. But you know what
- 43:01Speaker 3: I'm saying here, go bag get you see what I'm saying.
- 43:05Speaker 3: So what did he do to launder the money part
- 43:07Speaker 3: because Dwight Howard willfully sent him transferred some money.
- 43:11Speaker 1: They've got documentation of that.
- 43:15Speaker 10: Well, the biggest charge was guilty of fraud bank fraud,
- 43:18Speaker 10: then the money launder.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Right, I'm wondering how he But sometimes to throw off
- 43:24Speaker 3: the trail, they'll transfer that cash into something else, hoping
- 43:29Speaker 3: to move it around and later, yeah, I can't put
- 43:32Speaker 3: it directly into my account, right, so then it would
- 43:34Speaker 3: be I'll be completely on the radar of getting that
- 43:39Speaker 3: kind of money.
- 43:41Speaker 1: The prosecution is looking for eleven to fourteen year sentence.
- 43:47Speaker 3: That's what they're going to be asking for in this
- 43:49Speaker 3: federal crime. Yes, yes, you know, I'm just saying you're
- 44:01Speaker 3: gonna have to do that time. That ain't like I'll
- 44:04Speaker 3: be out in then six, you know what I mean.
- 44:06Speaker 3: They giving you fourteen years eleven eleven to fourteen, I'll
- 44:10Speaker 3: be out in five. No, you gonna be out in
- 44:14Speaker 3: about ten and a half.
- 44:17Speaker 1: You said ten and a half. Fans make you do
- 44:19Speaker 1: that time. They gonna make you do at least ninety percent.
- 44:22Speaker 10: Of that time out in Oakland, Antonio Pierce the head
- 44:26Speaker 10: coaches deciding to and I think Benching Gardner Minshew is
- 44:31Speaker 10: too strong of a word. I wouldn't say that this
- 44:35Speaker 10: is a benching. Putting Deshaun Watson on the side is
- 44:40Speaker 10: benching and going in another direction. You went into this season,
- 44:46Speaker 10: you gave Gardner Minshew the kind of time that you're
- 44:50Speaker 10: supposed to.
- 44:51Speaker 1: You got a quarterback battle.
- 44:54Speaker 10: You need to give your quarterback, whoever you decide to
- 44:56Speaker 10: go with the comfort of knowing this is not a
- 45:00Speaker 10: one mistake situation. They gave Gardner Minshew four or five
- 45:06Speaker 10: games to see whether we can go.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Now.
- 45:08Speaker 10: I don't know what he supposed to do without Davonte Adams.
- 45:11Speaker 10: I'm quite sure that's what he went into meeting too.
- 45:14Speaker 10: What y'all wanted me to do?
- 45:16Speaker 1: What I'm supposed to do? Who is the Raiders second receiver? Exactly?
- 45:23Speaker 1: That that that that's what he That was him? That
- 45:25Speaker 1: was him at the meeting.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Okay, okay, coach offensive coordinator? Uh, mister owner, who is
- 45:31Speaker 3: the Raiders second receiver? And then and then the hush
- 45:34Speaker 3: fell over the room and exactly yeah, they went to
- 45:38Speaker 3: looking through paper cheffer.
- 45:41Speaker 1: They got brock Bowers. But he's a well he's a
- 45:43Speaker 1: tight end. Who's the second See those are side conversations.
- 45:46Speaker 21: Hey, we got Brock Renfro, but I don't know if
- 45:50Speaker 21: he's if he's playing, I don't I don't know if
- 45:53Speaker 21: he's he was hurt. I don't know if he's even playing.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Renfro from Clemson, little slot receiver. So he was a
- 45:59Speaker 3: second and guy is it Jacoby Myers?
- 46:02Speaker 1: Who is that?
- 46:04Speaker 3: Nobody knows? This is what Jared is saying. He knew
- 46:10Speaker 3: that's what he put. Jacoby is the number second.
- 46:15Speaker 21: The guy who you know that where he threw the
- 46:18Speaker 21: lateral on the last play of the game against the Raiders.
- 46:22Speaker 21: We was playing for the Patriots. I picked it up, Jacobyssett.
- 46:30Speaker 21: You get him confused? Okay, So Jacoby Myers is the
- 46:35Speaker 21: second receiver.
- 46:36Speaker 3: And Jared says Renfro ben gone. You can hear that,
- 46:42Speaker 3: HBCU education and in that sentence structure Renfro showing up
- 46:50Speaker 3: had been you know it's and you're holding Garden to
- 46:54Speaker 3: miss you.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Because because of what what am I words? Working with coach,
- 47:01Speaker 1: that's what I would have winning. That's say what he
- 47:05Speaker 1: did say.
- 47:06Speaker 3: Look, man, what y'all want me to do?
- 47:08Speaker 10: They're going with Aidan O'Connell and give him four or
- 47:11Speaker 10: five games to see what he might be able to do,
- 47:13Speaker 10: but you knew this was the weakness of the Raider
- 47:15Speaker 10: team as far as basically both of those guys are
- 47:20Speaker 10: seen as good quality backups. Now Maardner Minshew will be
- 47:24Speaker 10: around like he's a good quality you need a game
- 47:27Speaker 10: or two and a chance to win, and he's the guy.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Now, Now with that, with that realization that there is
- 47:33Speaker 3: no second radar receiver and he's they're struggling at that position.
- 47:39Speaker 3: Is it just somebody had to get fired Gardner? And
- 47:41Speaker 3: I'm sorry you was driving the tractor when the accident happened.
- 47:45Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. You're a great guy and
- 47:46Speaker 3: somebody had to get fired and you just happened to
- 47:49Speaker 3: be working that shift when it happens. So it's gonna
- 47:52Speaker 3: be you because you don't have it.
- 47:54Speaker 10: Yeah, you don't have enough status for Antonio Peers to
- 47:58Speaker 10: fall on the head coach to fall on the.
- 47:59Speaker 24: Sward for you.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show
- 48:03Speaker 1: right after this.
- 48:09Speaker 3: Job. Don't go away.

- 51:17Speaker 3: Frank getson, I believe what they want, Slam don't.
- 51:21Speaker 10: Right to this one shock shock this war shock wing game.
- 51:25Speaker 10: The good morning to you out there and listening land.
- 51:27Speaker 10: Remember Thursday Night football forty nine Ers, Sea Hawks n
- 51:31Speaker 10: b W n b A will kick their championship series
- 51:36Speaker 10: off tonight as well.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Uh in New New York, so.
- 51:43Speaker 3: W.
- 51:43Speaker 1: The real NBA is already in the preseason.
- 51:48Speaker 10: Lebron James says he doesn't want to go to Milwaukee
- 51:50Speaker 10: just is real reason of saying that is kind of
- 51:55Speaker 10: These leagues say they want to cut down on traveling
- 51:58Speaker 10: all that. So basically from what I was reading, he's saying,
- 52:01Speaker 10: why did we have to fly all the way to
- 52:04Speaker 10: Milwaukee for a preseason game? Like we're gonna fly over
- 52:08Speaker 10: like seven teams to get to this one destination And
- 52:13Speaker 10: you would.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Think they only have like what five preseason game six?
- 52:16Speaker 21: Yeah, max six.
- 52:18Speaker 10: Three at home, three away. So if I'm in LA,
- 52:21Speaker 10: we can play the Clippers. We can fly real quick
- 52:23Speaker 10: up the Golden State, we can fly down the Phoenix
- 52:25Speaker 10: real quick. We could get to Denver in an hour.
- 52:28Speaker 1: It was right?
- 52:30Speaker 21: Did they know that was the Clippers?
- 52:32Speaker 1: And Words?
- 52:32Speaker 21: I think played in Hawaii, so I mean, I know
- 52:35Speaker 21: sometimes the Lakers play at Hawaii too. They played two games, so.
- 52:39Speaker 3: So really the problem just Milwaukee. It's just I don't
- 52:44Speaker 3: have a problem traveling. It's traveling to Milwaukee specifically that
- 52:49Speaker 3: bothers and anyone that's ever been can kind of get it,
- 52:52Speaker 3: you know what I mean, if you've ever been to Milwaukee,
- 52:54Speaker 3: you kind of understand.
- 52:56Speaker 10: So the NBA set to kick off the regular season
- 53:00Speaker 10: in about two weeks. I was reading one story. Interesting
- 53:04Speaker 10: they say over in Italy, ac Milan and Inner Milan
- 53:09Speaker 10: may have ties to the Mafia. Okay, Spanish the wrong continent.
- 53:21Speaker 3: But with the Mafia, you don't want to seem like
- 53:23Speaker 3: you know too much. You know, if I say child,
- 53:25Speaker 3: isn't they you might know something?
- 53:29Speaker 1: Now just like y'all went quiet.
- 53:30Speaker 3: I was like, I thought that was the whole Now,
- 53:33Speaker 3: I thought that was the business. Now tell us who
- 53:37Speaker 3: the person that they're saying is tied to the mafia
- 53:39Speaker 3: is making the team?
- 53:40Speaker 1: Right?
- 53:40Speaker 10: The team they're saying the AC Milan, which is a
- 53:44Speaker 10: team and inter Milan or two of the teams in
- 53:48Speaker 10: that league are tied to uh a mafia group. They
- 53:56Speaker 10: call that the league there, that's just the league.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Yeah. I was like, this is not really newsworthy, other
- 54:03Speaker 1: than why are you reporting it? Like it's yeah, somebody's
- 54:08Speaker 1: gonna come up missing. I'm sure behind this now.
- 54:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 10: I mean when you think about especially a sport like soccer,
- 54:18Speaker 10: which doesn't seem to have a governing body, the most profitable,
- 54:24Speaker 10: it's the number one sport on.
- 54:25Speaker 3: The on the planet, right, the number one most profitable
- 54:29Speaker 3: sport on the planet, And nobody's really watching the money.
- 54:34Speaker 3: They're just all kind of like, hey, you can make
- 54:37Speaker 3: sixty billion dollars for one season.
- 54:40Speaker 1: There is no real gatekeeper, right.
- 54:42Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying, talk about money laundering. Look at
- 54:44Speaker 3: some of these contracts.
- 54:46Speaker 1: No, I'm serious.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Have you seen the contracts of these football players. They
- 54:52Speaker 3: are hundreds of millions of dollars per season, not over
- 54:57Speaker 3: eight nine years. We're talking about person easy so and
- 55:01Speaker 3: then they seem to switch to up down this league,
- 55:04Speaker 3: that league like yearly. It doesn't seem to be an
- 55:08Speaker 3: extensive long contract. It seems to be.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Is here and here and then don said I go
- 55:16Speaker 1: there and that's where I go.
- 55:17Speaker 21: And if they want to if they're changing teams, then
- 55:20Speaker 21: the teams the team you're going to has to pay
- 55:23Speaker 21: the team you're coming from just to even talk to you.
- 55:29Speaker 3: We're going to get your goalie per se to play
- 55:33Speaker 3: for my team for a small fee that we will
- 55:37Speaker 3: deliver to you.
- 55:38Speaker 1: In small denominations. Correct, it's sports, it's boxing in the US.
- 55:46Speaker 1: That's pretty much what it is.
- 55:48Speaker 10: The NCAA Division One Council has approved of the immediately,
- 55:54Speaker 10: and when it all turns out, what I would like
- 55:56Speaker 10: you and big Ken you do.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Is bring me a breakfast.
- 56:03Speaker 3: Sandwich to say I told you so. Yes, when I
- 56:06Speaker 3: tell you, they're just gonna make it pro sports. The
- 56:09Speaker 3: NCAA now has eliminated the national Letter of Intent program,
- 56:14Speaker 3: so you don't have to basically, so you don't really
- 56:18Speaker 3: need to be.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Locked locked in.
- 56:22Speaker 3: I don't need to say when I'm gonna send you
- 56:25Speaker 3: that I'm going to the University of Georgia. I could
- 56:28Speaker 3: wait right up until the day before I go and
- 56:30Speaker 3: be like, hey man, you say you got seven hundred
- 56:33Speaker 3: thousand and a brand new truck established in nineteen sixty four,
- 56:39Speaker 3: So before any of us was born. Oh yes, old,
- 56:44Speaker 3: the national letter of Intent program has existed, binding agreement
- 56:48Speaker 3: between a prospective athlete and a college program. Basically, we
- 56:54Speaker 3: all signed the national letter of intent.
- 56:57Speaker 1: You would go down either you know now they do
- 57:00Speaker 1: it with the Hillman's and the hat before they sign.
- 57:06Speaker 1: I just went down to the.
- 57:09Speaker 3: School counselor counsel of office and sign and just sign.
- 57:14Speaker 3: And then they was like, somebody'll call you, So, guys,
- 57:18Speaker 3: why don't we just make it pro? We listen, let
- 57:22Speaker 3: me tell you something, because.
- 57:23Speaker 1: What am I signing?
- 57:24Speaker 25: Then?
- 57:24Speaker 1: If I'm not signing a national letter intent? What am
- 57:27Speaker 1: I signing?
- 57:28Speaker 3: Let me say this, Let me say this, Let me
- 57:30Speaker 3: say this for y'all. You say, why wun't we just
- 57:32Speaker 3: make it pro? I think the truth of the matter
- 57:34Speaker 3: is we already have. We're just trying to come up
- 57:37Speaker 3: with a way to feed it to the general public
- 57:40Speaker 3: in a way that they can digest it easy. We've
- 57:43Speaker 3: already seen what twenty thirty twenty thirty two gonna look
- 57:47Speaker 3: like in what used to be college sports. But you know,
- 57:51Speaker 3: all of these alumni people and all of these fans
- 57:54Speaker 3: on t weed figured out how to quite cut the

- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you some fries. McDonald says their fry sale is down,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: and now.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: The Chicken Big Mac officially come out right because somebody
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: been eating, ain't just came out with it? Been on
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: the secret menu? Really is the secret menu at McDonald's. Yeah,
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: what's the cold word? Ac milan, which say, yeah.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: What what do we say there?
- 1:02:31Speaker 21: There's some like certain things that they want, Like there's
- 1:02:33Speaker 21: one called the air Land and Sea, in which it's
- 1:02:36Speaker 21: a big mac.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: Oh, that's like you're gonna get you in jail though airlands,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: see big Kenny. Yeah, that sounded like smuggling route, you
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: know right now. It's a big mac with what like
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: a fair fish on it, a file air fish. Uh uh, well,
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: the chicken patty and the beef patty all the same.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: What that sounds like gonna make you sick? Well, where
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: you gotta go to do that?
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:03:01Speaker 21: That sounded like in an alley behind you get the
- 1:03:07Speaker 21: code off the dark web and then would you go
- 1:03:11Speaker 21: to the window. You say, you know one of those
- 1:03:14Speaker 21: what you call it AirLand and see I think it's
- 1:03:16Speaker 21: called the air Land.
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: It's a big mac with a fish patty, a chicken patty,
- 1:03:21Speaker 10: and a hamburger patty.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, it'd be that sounds like either sandwich or
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: sex trafficking charge. You know what I'm saying that you
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: and McDonald's that's a stand. Uh.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Colorado.
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: The Buffaloes will be back in action this week and
- 1:03:40Speaker 10: they're taking on Kansas State. I said that because it
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: seems that the young man Shiloh Sanders, the safety who
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: went out in the first game, he is a full
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: goat play after the surgery. So he's only missed what
- 1:03:54Speaker 10: three games? Uh, and his back there and it probably
- 1:03:58Speaker 10: was broken and they probably said real quick.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I like Shiloh.
- 1:04:02Speaker 10: He's a physical player, a little undersized, but like I
- 1:04:06Speaker 10: said before, different than his daddy. Shiloh likes to hit
- 1:04:11Speaker 10: and I'm hoping he can have and make it to
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: the NFL. What was the beef maybe two weeks ago
- 1:04:18Speaker 10: with Cam Newton Andvihdor and Travis What was that all about?
- 1:04:24Speaker 10: Just too many divas? I think at the at the
- 1:04:30Speaker 10: game and he UCF down in Orlando, and he.
- 1:04:34Speaker 21: Had said some things about like a lot of the
- 1:04:37Speaker 21: conversation about Travis Hunters be can he play both ways
- 1:04:41Speaker 21: in the NFL?
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: And I know Cam made a comment.
- 1:04:45Speaker 21: About that that he that he felt like he could
- 1:04:49Speaker 21: or couldn't that it's well basically that would be hard
- 1:04:53Speaker 21: to do. I mean I don't think he even he
- 1:04:56Speaker 21: may not even win that far to say yah, he
- 1:04:58Speaker 21: can't do it. It's like it's going to be hard.
- 1:05:00Speaker 21: And it's one of those things where if you if
- 1:05:04Speaker 21: you're even mentioning another player in that way, it comes
- 1:05:08Speaker 21: off as like criticism that's too harsh, even though it's
- 1:05:12Speaker 21: really just an observation.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Okay, So how did Shader get in it other than
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: he was just taking up for his boy?
- 1:05:20Speaker 21: Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: It was like that, Okay, okay, well what do you say?
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Hello? What do you say? Uh uh?
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I'm just wondering. I saw a little clip of them vickering,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: and I didn't you better leave my tid end alone.
- 1:05:37Speaker 10: Because it said something that Schuder said Cam was weird,
- 1:05:40Speaker 10: and I was like, well, that's not a put down.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Just look at the poss kettle Black. It's weird game
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: recognized game. Have you seen have you seen your boy
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: Travis Hunter in his Grinch costume doing the TikTok nances. No,
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: that's not something I'm don't shout now. I was about
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: to say, don't rush out and find it. You can't
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: unsee it. I can tell you that.
- 1:06:05Speaker 10: Kendrick Perkins and his partner have decided to open up
- 1:06:09Speaker 10: a new company. Kendrick Perprikins. You see him on ESPN
- 1:06:12Speaker 10: doing basketball analysis a lot, a new company that is
- 1:06:18Speaker 10: offering college athletes upfront cash in exchange for a portion
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: of their NIL.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Arrangements in IL settlements.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: But I need cash now called ken Drag Perkins eight
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: seven seven cash now.
- 1:06:41Speaker 10: The company is called Nilly. It offers athletes upfront payments
- 1:06:45Speaker 10: ranging from twenty five thousand into the hundreds of thousands.
- 1:06:50Speaker 10: They claim it is the first of its kind. In return,
- 1:06:54Speaker 10: Nilly gets the exclusive rights to use or sell the
- 1:06:58Speaker 10: athletes in il L for up to seven years, and
- 1:07:05Speaker 10: the company and its investors received between ten percent and
- 1:07:08Speaker 10: fifty percent of those n IL earnings.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: So they named it nearly because they couldn't name it exploitation.
- 1:07:18Speaker 21: Well, too many syllables.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that doesn't roll off the tongue at all. Well,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I guess it would operate kind of like the car.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: Can't you go get cash in your car and keep
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: driving the car or something, oh like Title Max?
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Like Title Max, they don't take your car, no pay
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: their loan companies, They just take your everything else. So Kendrick,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: can y'all don't find this to be a good idea.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: It can.
- 1:07:49Speaker 21: If they're you know, clearly being upfront about it. You know,
- 1:07:53Speaker 21: it's not something behind the scenes in which they're you know,
- 1:07:57Speaker 21: some people could get their money stolen.
- 1:07:59Speaker 10: Well, I ask, what's the difference between this and kind
- 1:08:01Speaker 10: of like in the entertainment business or the record business.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Where they give you an advance.
- 1:08:06Speaker 10: They give you the advance, but then you pay back
- 1:08:09Speaker 10: or even when you come you know, college. For all this,
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: NIL guys would get money from their agents right until
- 1:08:18Speaker 10: the draft, right right, and the agent, you know, based
- 1:08:24Speaker 10: on what he feels like. But there have been people
- 1:08:26Speaker 10: you thought were going in the second round that ended
- 1:08:28Speaker 10: up being in the six.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: And that's what I was wondering.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: What is the if these are binding agreements, what is
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: the downside if they don't get drafted? Or because a
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: lot of these NIL deals are worked out before the
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: kid ever gets to school, So what is the need
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: for me to get up front?
- 1:08:50Speaker 11: You know?
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: It seems like a little rush into something that could
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: have you over a barrel for a long time, And
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: which is why I use the word exploitation. A lot
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: of these high school students. Now people are campaigning to
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: allow NIL deals for them.
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: Well, kind of have you mentioned the couple of people
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: that against it are saying that To me, it feels
- 1:09:13Speaker 10: like you are praying on people who need the capital
- 1:09:17Speaker 10: now and using that to cloud their focused on the future.
- 1:09:25Speaker 10: So I guess it's just how you see life. Do
- 1:09:28Speaker 10: you have patience?
- 1:09:29Speaker 21: Yeah, in some cases, that's that's already, that's that's already
- 1:09:35Speaker 21: happening before you know, a company like this gets involved
- 1:09:39Speaker 21: where you know, kids are transferring because the school's offering
- 1:09:43Speaker 21: more money. So I mean, I don't think that would
- 1:09:45Speaker 21: be the that could be an issue but with this company,
- 1:09:50Speaker 21: but it's kind of an issue already before they even start.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: We'll see when they get drug into court for or something,
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: you know, unprofessional. But that's that's a high percentage to
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: what did they say up to fifty? Well, I guess
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: it's amount based on how much money you are making.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: You're asking, but they don't negotiate. You take your twenty
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: five thousand, we take ten percent. But you coming here
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: and you want, say three hundred thousand, right, we take
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Then we take fifty and we're taking a gamble that
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: we can get you these deals as well. Well, that's
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: why I'm saying it didn't sound like they were negotiating
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: the deal. But once the deal is negotiated, I can
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: use that to my advantage as much as I want.
- 1:10:39Speaker 10: No, it read like they're gonna be shopping you too.
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: Oh okay, yeah so, and you're gonna have takers. Some
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: people want to cash out now, some people okay, waiting
- 1:10:51Speaker 10: to see it. What's gonna come down the pipeline? A
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: Montana rancher before we go to break, I read this
- 1:10:57Speaker 10: that received six months in prison for cloning a sheep.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: For hunting. Neither one of y'all told me I had
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: been buying clone meat. Man, we are y'all cloning? Wait now,
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: wait now.
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: That burger, that that that thing that command she was
- 1:11:18Speaker 10: talking about, sound like it was clone.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: And what do you call it?
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Land Aaron? Yeah? And this sound like he did it
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: in secret? Like should he be ranching? You know what
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: I mean? This dude able to do that. He's able
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: to clone animals, maybe sheep. He didn't say he cloned
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: anything else. Well, the sheep is an animal.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: If he can do that, why why is they are
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: they punishing him for having this knowledge?
- 1:11:47Speaker 10: I guess you can't do it and they'll sell it
- 1:11:50Speaker 10: it said that he cloned sheep for captive hunting.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: So I imagine.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: If the clone, I guess maybe want to see it live,
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: to see if it lives or something.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: I don't maybe that's maybe that's like selling the same
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: sheep over and over, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Does that make sense?
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Like we we would think that we were hunting a
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: different breed of sheep, or you may be by cloning
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: the sheep, you may make it easier to.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Catch and hunt. Can you eat cloned sheep? Do you
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: think what did that? That hunter?
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: It didn't.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: It didn't get into whether you can process it, And
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: that's kind of I'm still wondering how did you do it?
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: And who hunts sheep though that's not an animal that
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: you do. They even have. Yeah, they're not fast and elusive,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: and they like mountain sheep. Wild sheep. I'm saying, with
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: the horns you need, it's a bag of apples. You
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: can walk right into the herd. Yes, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: So why are they I don't know.
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: Yeah, we'll be back clone sheep right as it is
- 1:13:06Speaker 10: that in the land. Aaron Seburger on the Dark, Well,
- 1:13:10Speaker 10: I'm gonna try it. I'm be ready to go to jail,
- 1:13:12Speaker 10: but I'm gonna try it. We'll be back right as
- 1:13:14Speaker 10: it is.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: I rocked the party that blocks the bide. You rock
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: the party that rocked the body, Body Body. I rocked
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: the party that blocks the body. You rock the party
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: that loss the body.
- 1:13:26Speaker 14: Joone Boy, Wayne Board of the sports Josh Hill with
- 1:13:29Speaker 14: Wayne Gandius coming up next.
- 1:13:33Speaker 13: My simple solution to the problem was remove people from
- 1:13:38Speaker 13: the sea and help them feel safer.
- 1:13:40Speaker 24: In response to attacks against Asian Americans, Maddie Park raised
- 1:13:44Speaker 24: over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to donate camp
- 1:13:47Speaker 24: rights to the Asian community.
- 1:13:48Speaker 13: There is so much more work to be done. We
- 1:13:51Speaker 13: really need to come together and tackle this issue as
- 1:13:54Speaker 13: a community.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Support the Asian community.
- 1:13:57Speaker 24: Learned how that Love Has No Labels dot com brought
- 1:14:00Speaker 24: to you by Love has No Labels and the AD Council.
- 1:14:03Speaker 6: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:14:13Speaker 6: life insurance.
- 1:14:14Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife are
- 1:14:16Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we live forever.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: Life insurance.
- 1:14:19Speaker 29: What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: What about you?
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:14:24Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:14:26Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:14:28Speaker 29: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:14:30Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:14:37Speaker 29: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:14:39Speaker 29: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:14:41Speaker 6: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:14:43Speaker 6: whether you earn a little or a lot. All you
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:14:51Speaker 6: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: Log on today benefits orbills dot com. It's benefits or
- 1:15:01Speaker 6: bills dot com.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Hear that.
- 1:15:07Speaker 20: That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect, beating in
- 1:15:14Speaker 20: rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you
- 1:15:19Speaker 20: drive after drinking, music gets drowned out. Your life sounds
- 1:15:26Speaker 20: pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz driving
- 1:15:29Speaker 20: is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed a message from Nits
- 1:15:32Speaker 20: in the ad council.

- 1:15:42Speaker 3: every Virgo, capacor libro, pisy, scopy, Sea, Terrio Taurus, don't

- 1:16:16Speaker 10: the weekend. Mario Lopez is fifty one years of age.
- 1:16:21Speaker 10: She know Smith's for his birthday. We'll get to host
- 1:16:25Speaker 10: the forty nine or she know is fifty five? Excuse me,
- 1:16:30Speaker 10: thirty four years old? I was looking at the wrong one.
- 1:16:33Speaker 10: Thirty four is me?
- 1:16:34Speaker 11: No?
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Still in the game? Five is thirty four years old? Maya?
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: What happened to Maya?
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: She was kind of hu.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: She had a little buzz there for about two years.
- 1:16:48Speaker 21: I say her probably in the movies touring. She's still
- 1:16:52Speaker 21: like I performed.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: There was some talk that she had had it was
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: her most popular song.
- 1:16:59Speaker 21: You remember that so called case Case of the X
- 1:17:02Speaker 21: and just one with Jay z Oh it's all about
- 1:17:06Speaker 21: me or it might have been a different rapper.
- 1:17:08Speaker 10: But when we go to break, could you play her
- 1:17:10Speaker 10: most popular to give us a reminder, mind you shed
- 1:17:13Speaker 10: when she had the stick, she had a couple of
- 1:17:15Speaker 10: movie rolls and stuff.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: She's forty five years old.
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: Now I was giving her some love though, me too,
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Me too. She's forty five years old, as my uh.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: Dyl Arnhardt Junior is the Big five O for I
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: wonder what you get race car drivers for birthdays? They like,
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: I don't want a car, they don't want it. I'm
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: good on cars. Bro, Get me a tie. They want
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: stuff they regular guys get all the time.
- 1:17:50Speaker 10: Give me some socks or some Colowne fifty years old.
- 1:17:53Speaker 10: The Governor of California, Gavin Newsoon is fifty seven. Andrew McCutcheon,
- 1:17:59Speaker 10: the the outfielder for the Pirates is thirty eight. Hugh
- 1:18:05Speaker 10: Jackman Wolverine is fifty six. Norm Nixon, remember the Great
- 1:18:09Speaker 10: Norm Nixon the Lakers is sixty nine. Mike Conley Junior
- 1:18:14Speaker 10: is thirty seven.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Who is he with now?
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: Mike Conley still with the Timberwolf Timberwolves. Okay, he's thirty
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: seven years old. Terrell Suggs of the Ravens, who says
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: he's the first ballot.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: He wants you all to know.
- 1:18:28Speaker 10: Now this was out of he said, he first ballot
- 1:18:30Speaker 10: Hall of Famous. You don't be don't be with that
- 1:18:34Speaker 10: that we go see. Yeah, don't hit me with the
- 1:18:36Speaker 10: till Owens. That's what he's saying. Don't be looking at
- 1:18:40Speaker 10: my checkered pass telling me I can't get into the hall.
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: Terrell Suggs forty two years old, great linebacker.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: That he was.
- 1:18:48Speaker 10: Charlie Ward Heisman Trophy winner in my year coming out
- 1:18:52Speaker 10: is fifty four years old as Charlie Ward. He's a
- 1:18:55Speaker 10: long time like high school basketball coach too from that
- 1:19:00Speaker 10: in that area. He's been there a long time. Remember
- 1:19:03Speaker 10: he did he won the Heisman, but he chose to
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: go play in the NBA. Played about ten years for
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: various teams that Charlie Ward. Darrel Hall of Haull and
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: Os is seventy eight.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:19:17Speaker 10: Steve Young one of the first on what I call
- 1:19:21Speaker 10: mobile quarterbacks who really could hurt you with his legs.
- 1:19:27Speaker 10: He probably would retire sooner now. He took a lot
- 1:19:30Speaker 10: of concussions, big hits. He's sixty three years of age,
- 1:19:34Speaker 10: and the man the future Hall of Famer coming off
- 1:19:38Speaker 10: the corner for the steel curtain.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: TJ. Watt is thirty years of old. Age is TJ. Watts.
- 1:19:46Speaker 10: Big Kenny brought a story about Home Depot. We'll be
- 1:19:49Speaker 10: asking all their executives once a month to work an
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: eight hour shift on the floor at a Home Depot.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: Which when you said the story, I thought, that's how
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: you started at those kind of companies.
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: Even if you were if I was hiring you an
- 1:20:05Speaker 10: executive kind of you still went to the store.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: I thought that's what it seemed like. Reverse.
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: Now, I know that some restaurants when they franchise, will
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: ask the person who is purchasing the unit to go
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: to their management program and they learned from the Yeah,
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: you go to McDonald's school McDonald's and they start from
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: taking out trash up through just all of the operational stuff.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: I'm not sure if that's how Home Depot had done
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: it before. I do know that now that they asked
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: them to work an eight hour shift in the stores,
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: and there will be required that's the thing required to
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: complete an eight hour shift at one of the company's
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: retail stores every quarter. So they're following a model by
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: door dash that requires all of their employees from the
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: CEO all of the tech employees down to deliver an
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: order once a month.
- 1:21:03Speaker 10: You think that's a way to continue to have eyes
- 1:21:06Speaker 10: on the employees that actually work in that store, like
- 1:21:10Speaker 10: have some heads.
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: Well, I think it's having we talk about athletes that
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: go from high school straight to the pros. I remember
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: back when I was in the restaurant business, it was
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: more the start from the front of the house or
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: the back of the house as a cook, as a waiter,
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: and then work your way up to management. And that's
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: because now you're familiar with all of the operations.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: But it's not like that anymore.
- 1:21:40Speaker 10: Well, I'm saying, we see what they got a little
- 1:21:43Speaker 10: TV show about it where the boss stresses up undercover
- 1:21:46Speaker 10: balls and he goes to the store. Is this a
- 1:21:48Speaker 10: way for those companies to get more because I've been
- 1:21:53Speaker 10: to Home Depot when Bernie Marcus has been there, right,
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: and the employees got a whole different vibe. All of
- 1:22:01Speaker 10: them got their shirt tucked into the pants and smiles
- 1:22:04Speaker 10: and the and that the register you know, like in
- 1:22:08Speaker 10: the military, right because the boss is in the building, right,
- 1:22:10Speaker 10: but this is the thing.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: And if I walk up to that employee and I say, hey, man,
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: can you help me with some paint? He's a paint employee,
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: so he's going to say yes, sir, with that, you know,
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: renewed enthusiasm because the boss is here and he's gonna
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: take me where I need to go, and we're gonna
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: do what I need to do professionally and with the
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: best possible service. But when you got your it guy
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: up in the paint place, he may be enthusiastic, but
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: he don't know what he's talking about, but he's still
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: eyes on employee. That's the part you're I'm asking, Oh,
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: so you think that he's not really there to help,
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: he's just more of a spies for corporate.
- 1:22:49Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I don't know how that will work.
- 1:22:52Speaker 21: It can partially be that, but I also think like
- 1:22:55Speaker 21: if they're there and not undercover, but if they're there,
- 1:22:59Speaker 21: they're seeing if every if there are ideas for them
- 1:23:02Speaker 21: to be more efficient, or if there's something in the
- 1:23:07Speaker 21: function of the store.
- 1:23:08Speaker 10: Every year, when I played football, we always look for
- 1:23:11Speaker 10: the spy on the team. One of these sixty players
- 1:23:17Speaker 10: is in here reporting information to the coach And sure
- 1:23:21Speaker 10: always like now weird. Didn't have one hundred evidence that
- 1:23:24Speaker 10: it was true, but it was always a vibe no
- 1:23:26Speaker 10: matter where I went.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: That's somebody in here and keeping their job by ratting.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: It's not always.
- 1:23:33Speaker 21: Somebody who like if you were on the Steelers, but
- 1:23:36Speaker 21: then like there was someone who was on the Browns
- 1:23:41Speaker 21: like last week, and now they're on the Steelers, and
- 1:23:45Speaker 21: then then they just get cut.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: Not spying for another team, spying for the team that
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: we're all on.
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: Right, they report to the coach destruct okay, and that
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: could be very well possible. It's just that I wonder
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: it used to be a lot of talk about how
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: hourly employees don't know what goes on in the office,
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: and the office guys make up rules that have nothing
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: to do with what happens here because you don't know.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: So that's what they say they're trying to do is
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: manage the culture. We'll be back more to Sports Jock
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Show right after this.
- 1:24:31Speaker 14: Don't Go Awayne Born of the Sports John Show with

- 1:24:43Speaker 12: but some people only see who I am on paper,

- 1:27:10Speaker 10: What direct to the Sport Shock Shop The Sport Shocks
- 1:27:12Speaker 10: Wayne can t.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Good morning to you.
- 1:27:14Speaker 10: We were just talking about the eight hour rule at
- 1:27:17Speaker 10: home depot and UH to correlate that to sports. In
- 1:27:22Speaker 10: the sporting world, it changed a little bit as the
- 1:27:27Speaker 10: money got bigger. Usually GMS or even when you went
- 1:27:31Speaker 10: to colleges. Now they have GMS. Not just they have
- 1:27:34Speaker 10: an athletic director and a GM, but that athletic director
- 1:27:38Speaker 10: a lot of schools, you became one.
- 1:27:42Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:27:42Speaker 10: Typically you played a sport, you was a GA grad assistant. Uh,
- 1:27:48Speaker 10: then you went to the ticket office. Then they might
- 1:27:51Speaker 10: move you tohead of recruiting, and then you became the
- 1:27:55Speaker 10: athletic director. Now they're just going over to to in
- 1:28:00Speaker 10: hiring the vice president of Coca Cola to come be
- 1:28:05Speaker 10: the athletic director.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: So he has no he never played sports. So I'm
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: putting that to what home depot.
- 1:28:12Speaker 10: Like you guys were saying, going to break, they're having
- 1:28:16Speaker 10: to almost go in reverse because they're hiring people that
- 1:28:18Speaker 10: had nothing to do with this retail company and now
- 1:28:22Speaker 10: they're having to get them on taste.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: It's just funny how the world that we we thought
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: that old model was wrong.
- 1:28:32Speaker 10: And now you're seeing you having to go and it
- 1:28:35Speaker 10: was necessary for you to have that, and some of
- 1:28:38Speaker 10: that is the same in sports. Some of your critiques
- 1:28:41Speaker 10: is you know when people when you hear those couple
- 1:28:44Speaker 10: of people have those issues with guys just getting head
- 1:28:49Speaker 10: coaching jobs, it really stems from but you never coached,
- 1:28:54Speaker 10: you never ran. It's not so much you don't have
- 1:28:56Speaker 10: the knowledge, but you never And sometimes you'll see a
- 1:29:01Speaker 10: guy just go to a smaller school so he can
- 1:29:03Speaker 10: come back to say, Okay, I've learned the management and
- 1:29:07Speaker 10: get some of it, because it become you become more
- 1:29:10Speaker 10: of a manager than you are a coach. When you're
- 1:29:14Speaker 10: the head guy, it's about managing people more than it
- 1:29:17Speaker 10: is the exes and o's uh, some guys don't even
- 1:29:21Speaker 10: That's why I'll make that statement. That guy wants to
- 1:29:24Speaker 10: just be a coordinator, right, that managing people. All that
- 1:29:30Speaker 10: he wants to call plays he actually wants to because
- 1:29:33Speaker 10: you lose that that connection of actually coaching when you.
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: Become the head coach.
- 1:29:41Speaker 10: The head coach, you know, sometimes you be thirty minutes
- 1:29:43Speaker 10: into practice by the time he make it because he
- 1:29:46Speaker 10: had to go run over and do something meeting with
- 1:29:48Speaker 10: some alumni or some business people. Practice is already going on.
- 1:29:53Speaker 10: He comes in and gives some speech, and we don't
- 1:29:57Speaker 10: see the head coach like that. Your coach, your closest
- 1:30:00Speaker 10: connection is your position and your coordinator. But you don't
- 1:30:05Speaker 10: interact with the head coach as much as people think
- 1:30:08Speaker 10: you do. You know, everybody thinks every day. Now he
- 1:30:12Speaker 10: talks to the quarterback because he knows that his job
- 1:30:15Speaker 10: is contingent him and the quarterback jobs are together, him,
- 1:30:19Speaker 10: the quarterback, and the general manager. All them in bed together.
- 1:30:24Speaker 10: They having a threesome. That sounds did no diddy the
- 1:30:31Speaker 10: corporate one of them get fired all them? That sound
- 1:30:37Speaker 10: like an indictment.
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: Yeah, when one get arrested, everybody get nervous because the
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: coach told.
- 1:30:42Speaker 10: The gim he wanted that quarterback, and the GM went
- 1:30:45Speaker 10: and told that to the owner. Now the owner got
- 1:30:47Speaker 10: all y'all together on the same list. You wouldn't be
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: surprised Aaron Rodgers is not with the Jets next year
- 1:30:55Speaker 10: and the GM got fired.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: They already got rid of the coach, but a few more.
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: The owner it was his decision, That's what he said,
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: because you know, can't nobody fire him.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: He can take the blame.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: Let me ask you some sports this move with companies
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: like the door dash with home Depot. I know, I
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: have a friend who works for Amazon and he works
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: in production in the problem solving department.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: But they do it like that. So in New York.
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: One of their issues is package delivery. But in New York,
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: space is limited, so they've got these big wagons that
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: they take the packages, but you can't bring them in
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: the building. So when the guy goes in to deliver
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: the package of courses New York or the other packages
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: come up missing and they're trying, but they make the
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: people who are in charge of that nationwide actually go
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: and pull these cards along the streets in New York.
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: And they haven't announced that it's a move to It
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: just seems like wise business practices. A lot of these
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: companies now retro fitting this, are they realizing maybe we
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: skip the step and we got Are we going to
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: see that in other industries like in the future with
- 1:32:11Speaker 3: this nil stuff where we man we got to go
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: back to just the student athlete.
- 1:32:15Speaker 10: Well, I think that you have to at some point.
- 1:32:18Speaker 10: It could be separate to where there's just a you
- 1:32:21Speaker 10: come out of high school, you can go to this
- 1:32:23Speaker 10: pro league, or you can go to the college league. Right,
- 1:32:27Speaker 10: you know this is kind of semi whatever. You can
- 1:32:30Speaker 10: just do that, or you can go to how it
- 1:32:33Speaker 10: still goes to college for those programs where that are
- 1:32:37Speaker 10: still just based on playing college football. It's almost like
- 1:32:41Speaker 10: how the IVY League plays football. And I don't even
- 1:32:44Speaker 10: know if they give they only give a couple of
- 1:32:47Speaker 10: scholarships to those those IVY League Well they don't do
- 1:32:52Speaker 10: athletic scholarships.
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. If I was about
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: to say if at all, I don't even know that.
- 1:32:57Speaker 10: But they still have leagues and they still have teams
- 1:33:00Speaker 10: based on that, and I think if you play, you
- 1:33:03Speaker 10: do get some kind of maybe discount on tuition kind
- 1:33:08Speaker 10: of plan, but it's not a scholarship based.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Thing.
- 1:33:13Speaker 10: I actually have a guy this weekend and for you
- 1:33:16Speaker 10: just watching like high school football tomorrow night seven thirty GPB,
- 1:33:21Speaker 10: GPB dot Org Saint Pias playing Maris for you to
- 1:33:27Speaker 10: watch the Rams, the Marris Eagles, aren't they The head
- 1:33:32Speaker 10: coach of the Rams, Sean McVay, went to Marris, but
- 1:33:37Speaker 10: Marris's coach has been there and they have to give
- 1:33:39Speaker 10: him coach Chadwick. He's been coaching for forty nine years.
- 1:33:44Speaker 10: Is that legal at Maris? That not forty nine years
- 1:33:49Speaker 10: I'm talking about at the same place.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying now, Is that legal? Can you
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: do that?
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: I'm saying nothing out a state violation of some sort
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: of labor law, Like you only supposed to do twenty
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: before retired.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: He's done twice that and he's on his third retirement.
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: And they and I say that because they have a
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: player going to M I T And I said, well, coach,
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: I already know what to say about him. We don't
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: have to talk about intelligence, right, I could just say
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: that smart heady foot, but he made the job easy.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: But I say that because those people this level, these teams,
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: they play for just the love.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: Of the game. They don't.
- 1:34:26Speaker 10: There's not you know, I usually come here raving about
- 1:34:28Speaker 10: some five star, four star. Nobody has a star on
- 1:34:32Speaker 10: either team. They're just playing football because it's Friday night
- 1:34:36Speaker 10: and we're in high school. Wait, just sports, yeah, just gonna.
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: So so there's no there there's no behind the scenes deals,
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: and there's not a truck waiting and an nil deal
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: on the West Coast for a reclassified kid. No, just wow,
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: for the love of four children, Friday night, four children
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: just enjoying their teenage years.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: You would do that to a kid. It's just playing.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's horrible. I think they have one player
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: that's going Arkansas State. Wow.
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: And they're probably doing stuff like pizza and just hanging
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: out at the bowling alley after the.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: Game, playing for the fun of the game.
- 1:35:17Speaker 10: Jaydon Daniels and Lamar Jackson are going to do battle
- 1:35:20Speaker 10: this weekend. But Jaydon Daniels says he doesn't want to
- 1:35:24Speaker 10: be the second anything. He's Jaydon dais not a Lamar Jackson,
- 1:35:30Speaker 10: look the next Mark Jackson. Well, first of all, Lamar
- 1:35:35Speaker 10: Jackson and Jayde Daniels almost the same age. So you
- 1:35:40Speaker 10: can't be the second coming of something When I'm twenty
- 1:35:43Speaker 10: five and he's twenty eight.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: You can't be junior, can you?
- 1:35:49Speaker 3: Independent my having advanced twenty three year old? You might
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: be an advanced three year old years.
- 1:35:56Speaker 10: But then god, it is like six five six years, right,
- 1:35:59Speaker 10: So he has to be about twenty four, twenty five.
- 1:36:03Speaker 10: And Lamar Jackson, I think we had just said his
- 1:36:05Speaker 10: birthday he should be like twenty eight, twenty nine.
- 1:36:08Speaker 21: He's Jayde Dawns is twenty three, twenty four in December, okay,
- 1:36:15Speaker 21: And Lamar Jackson, I think he just had a on
- 1:36:18Speaker 21: never mind, he's twenty seven.
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36:20Speaker 3: So yeah, So basically he said, he's not saying, ain't
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: nobody coming to see you?
- 1:36:26Speaker 10: Otis Jayde Daniels Uh and Jayde Daniels I've seen. I
- 1:36:32Speaker 10: thought he was going to be the best quarterback in
- 1:36:35Speaker 10: that group. To me, him and Lamar Jackson are very similar.
- 1:36:39Speaker 10: I think Jaydon Daniels is further along throwing the ball now.
- 1:36:44Speaker 10: He understands the past game.
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: More.
- 1:36:48Speaker 10: He you know, what he knows in year one. Lamar
- 1:36:52Speaker 10: kind of found out in year four about throwing the ball.
- 1:36:56Speaker 10: But they are two great athletes, two super speedy guys,
- 1:37:00Speaker 10: and you know, I can completely understand why he just done.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: And he's trying to trailblaze his own path now.
- 1:37:09Speaker 10: And I don't want to be the second of something
- 1:37:11Speaker 10: of somebody who's going to be We're both, I mean,
- 1:37:14Speaker 10: at the ages they are, we're going to be in
- 1:37:18Speaker 10: the same league for the next ten years. It's easy
- 1:37:20Speaker 10: to call me the second something when the person is
- 1:37:23Speaker 10: gone now than it is when I'm playing along with
- 1:37:28Speaker 10: the person. It's Jade Daniels rookie season correct.
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Yeah, with the Commanders.
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: Commanders are four and one is four games one enough
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: to start telling people who you are and how to
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: address you. You don't call me no, because I'm you know,
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: we four games in be I mean, I get it.
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: I get it so very strong. So the games have
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: been strong. But I think so okay, I think that
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: I don't want you, the media, to start something. I
- 1:38:01Speaker 3: don't want to wait too late for you to analyst
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: to keep saying that every Sunday. I don't want to
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: hear that on the replay. I get it Sunday, and
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: I might want to stop that now because I can't
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: stop it three years from now, right, but I can
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: stop it now before you start giving me a nickname
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: on't like.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: Little Lamar.
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: And there it goes, Jaydon little Lamar Daniels. I'm gonna
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: stop that right now, maybe Lamar. And I think that
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: is a great approach by the young man of stopping
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: it because he's gonna let the roomor even grow even start.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: I'm Jane Daniels, not Lamar Jackson.
- 1:38:41Speaker 10: Should be an exciting game, and we'll be back with
- 1:38:44Speaker 10: more the Sports Jock Show right after this.
- 1:39:00Speaker 14: Don't bowl Wayne Born of the Sports Josh Hill with
- 1:39:02Speaker 14: Wayne Gambias dumbing up next.
- 1:39:05Speaker 30: You say you'd never give it into a meltdown, never
- 1:39:09Speaker 30: let kids toys take over the house, and never fill
- 1:39:14Speaker 30: your feet with kid photos. You'd never plan your life
- 1:39:20Speaker 30: around their schedule, never look your thumb to clean their face,
- 1:39:26Speaker 30: and you'd never let them leave the house looking like
- 1:39:29Speaker 30: less than their best. You say you'd never put a
- 1:39:33Speaker 30: pacifier in your mouth to clean it. Never let them
- 1:39:37Speaker 30: stay up too late, and never let them run wild
- 1:39:41Speaker 30: through the grocery store. And so when you say you'd
- 1:39:47Speaker 30: never let them get into a car without you there,
- 1:39:50Speaker 30: no it can happen. One in four hot car deaths
- 1:39:53Speaker 30: happen when a kid gets into an unlocked car and
- 1:39:56Speaker 30: can't get out. Never happens before you leave the car.

- 1:40:15Speaker 15: pet friendly evacuation center, will have run out.

- 1:40:22Speaker 8: I'll face a hurricane without METS.

- 1:40:47Speaker 20: Yes?
- 1:40:48Speaker 2: Good job.
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: So what should I do with all these coals?
- 1:40:50Speaker 32: Don't just toss them out?
- 1:40:52Speaker 13: Put them in a metal container because those embers can
- 1:40:54Speaker 13: start a wildfire.

- 1:41:31Speaker 3: Log on. Say you can see the sports jaint, I'll
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: sing even big Janny, Welcome back to the swart Shock,
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: Hume the sport Shock.
- 1:41:41Speaker 10: Wayne Candy, Good morning to you. As you know, college
- 1:41:44Speaker 10: football is back. There's a couple of games here tonight
- 1:41:49Speaker 10: and rolling into the weekend. Probably the biggest game I've seen,
- 1:41:52Speaker 10: and I'm quite sure there's more.
- 1:41:54Speaker 18: Uh.
- 1:41:54Speaker 10: Texas and Oklahoma are going to do battle. UH commands
- 1:41:57Speaker 10: you Griggs Old College, Oklahoma soon owners who beat up
- 1:42:01Speaker 10: on my Auburn Tigers two weeks ago. Last weekend, I
- 1:42:04Speaker 10: did have the pleasure of going down to Athens Sanford
- 1:42:09Speaker 10: Stadium and watch the Bulldogs beat my Auburn Tigers. But
- 1:42:14Speaker 10: great environment, as SEC action, just intense fans that are
- 1:42:19Speaker 10: there for football is so different, And if you haven't
- 1:42:26Speaker 10: in a while, go get you a little vive of
- 1:42:29Speaker 10: that and you'll see the different intensity between the college
- 1:42:36Speaker 10: fan and the profan. There is a different intensity. The
- 1:42:41Speaker 10: profan can easily be drawn away with different entertaining and
- 1:42:47Speaker 10: actors and all the things that go on in the arena.
- 1:42:51Speaker 10: The college fan is basic. They still wrapping the hamburger
- 1:42:56Speaker 10: in aluminum.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: Foil, you feel me.
- 1:43:00Speaker 10: They still give me the packet of some no name
- 1:43:03Speaker 10: brand on even behind it just said mustard.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: Ye think about it, and you.
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: Be glad that just the word mustard, and you'd be
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: glad to have that like mustard yeah. And they be
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: like what kind and you be like this kuy yeahs.
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: And it is just bearing you put it on the
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: brand and have to spread bread packet. It's totally different
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: than the pro game pro they got they up there
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: serving you lamb and all kinds of stuff at a
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: restaurant inside the stadium, inside the college table service.
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: Everything College is going to take you back.
- 1:43:45Speaker 10: If you're looking for that that nostalgia from whenever you
- 1:43:49Speaker 10: went thirty forty twenty, it's the same menu and it's
- 1:43:55Speaker 10: just wrapped in some foil.
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: And it's stuck to the bum burger Hamburger.
- 1:44:06Speaker 10: But one of the biggest upsets in the history of
- 1:44:10Speaker 10: college football happened last week. Mainly, I said in the
- 1:44:14Speaker 10: history because Alabama, who had just beaten Georgia, who at
- 1:44:22Speaker 10: the time was basically it was the top two of
- 1:44:25Speaker 10: the top five teams playing. Bama beat their arch nemesis
- 1:44:29Speaker 10: over the last handful of.
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: Years, got a little fat round the middle, and traveled
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: to Nashville, went all that extra weight.
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: And play the team that.
- 1:44:42Speaker 10: You can always just get a ticket because we sharing
- 1:44:46Speaker 10: to a Vandy game. We never feel the stress of
- 1:44:52Speaker 10: if your brother in law is over and y'all just
- 1:44:56Speaker 10: can't find nothing to do in your Nashville, just try
- 1:44:59Speaker 10: get you.
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: To center few seats. I'm talking about right there behind
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: the coat. Wife gonna let us take the kids.
- 1:45:05Speaker 10: Us not to that, No, but coming out of that
- 1:45:09Speaker 10: is one of the great rents, at least of this
- 1:45:12Speaker 10: year of sports. And I'm introducing it, but it really
- 1:45:16Speaker 10: needs no introduction once it gets going, So hold and
- 1:45:19Speaker 10: listen now it's going to be about a minute. But
- 1:45:23Speaker 10: it's a treasure of a rent of an Alabama fan
- 1:45:27Speaker 10: who after just one loss. It's tired of it.
- 1:45:34Speaker 33: I don't mind everybody say what they want that, don't
- 1:45:36Speaker 33: mind it. I can take it. You can't take the heat.
- 1:45:39Speaker 33: Get out of the kitchen. I love the kitchen. So
- 1:45:42Speaker 33: let's get that right and get this right. I'll ride
- 1:45:46Speaker 33: and die with the Crimson Tide. I don't care to
- 1:45:49Speaker 33: go back and get Mike Shoeler the coat. I'm gonna
- 1:45:52Speaker 33: be with Alabama every frigging game. But that don't mean
- 1:45:56Speaker 33: I can't be pissed at what I've seen. Sady the field,
- 1:46:01Speaker 33: Alabama don't lose the Vandy which her loose to Vandy.
- 1:46:07Speaker 33: That is friggin pathetic. Coach the boar forty years, dude,
- 1:46:13Speaker 33: forty years. Bill Curry didn't lose the Vandy. Mike the
- 1:46:19Speaker 33: Post didn't lose the Vandy match. Sula didn't lose the
- 1:46:25Speaker 33: Fandy forty You've been here four weeks and you already
- 1:46:31Speaker 33: lost to Bandy. Strike friggin one, dude, strike frigging one.
- 1:46:38Speaker 33: The ruddy moons aren't only over, but we need some
- 1:46:42Speaker 33: serious marriage counseling between me and you. Dude. Let me
- 1:46:46Speaker 33: tell you how pissed I am, Paul, Can I.
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: Tell you brother Risha would go right, aham.
- 1:46:52Speaker 33: My neighbor gave me a picture of coach de Boar
- 1:46:56Speaker 33: last Thursday, assigned picture of eight by twelve and a frame,
- 1:47:01Speaker 33: and I put it in the firepit. Third them much
- 1:47:05Speaker 33: to it.
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: You burned it, I burned it.
- 1:47:08Speaker 33: I apologize And that Saban for putting the nail next
- 1:47:12Speaker 33: to him and putting it clutch to it forty years. Dude,
- 1:47:16Speaker 33: you've been here four weeks. Have you already lost the bandy?
- 1:47:21Speaker 33: And let me tell you something.
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: I really that's the Alabama fan. And that's real passion.
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: That's jo looking for a new job. Alert that that is.
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: That's like an award winning scene. Yeah, yeah, you know.
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: And that's real, man, that's real fandom. That's real.
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: I wonder if that kind of loyalty to the program,
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: that kind of fervor for a football program will remain
- 1:47:49Speaker 3: when the players, the players used to be connected to
- 1:47:52Speaker 3: the community, they used to come, they built history together.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: Now these dudes don't really know each other, they don't
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: really know the the fan base. But this dude and
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: he went back. Now, some of those coaches he named
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: might feel a kind of way because he was saying
- 1:48:08Speaker 3: they beat him but the way he said even they
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: beat like, oh god, what you trying to say, Like
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: you're trying to say I was a scrub Bill Curry,
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: Like he went all the way back on some of them,
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: and he did a lot of passion.
- 1:48:21Speaker 10: And that's why you love especially athletic. And that fan
- 1:48:25Speaker 10: said that they can lose to anybody except Vandy, and
- 1:48:28Speaker 10: that's really how Vandy has always been seen. I mean, unfortunately,
- 1:48:31Speaker 10: it's a great institution. My daughter got her master's there.
- 1:48:36Speaker 10: But as far as the football field and other sports,
- 1:48:39Speaker 10: Vandy can beat you and nobody says nothing. They come
- 1:48:42Speaker 10: up with a baseball team, the basketball team and volleybab
- 1:48:47Speaker 10: but in football they've always just seen as Vandy, and
- 1:48:50Speaker 10: that is part of part of the problem. My senior
- 1:48:55Speaker 10: year in Auburn, we went undefeated. The closest game we
- 1:48:59Speaker 10: had was at Vanderbilt. In Vanderbilt, everybody get an extra burkerphone,
- 1:49:05Speaker 10: they go to.
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: Give me some more. We had to stop them on
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: a fourth and one.
- 1:49:10Speaker 10: We were up fourteen ten, they were on the one
- 1:49:13Speaker 10: yard line and we had to stop them to win
- 1:49:16Speaker 10: the game. And it was all because the same attitude
- 1:49:20Speaker 10: Alabama had. It's just had stop him Vandy, but.
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: You stopped them because that extra weight help you know
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 1:49:27Speaker 10: It's just it's just bandy. But tell them why you mad, Son,
- 1:49:31Speaker 10: Tell them why you're mad. We'll be back with more
- 1:49:33Speaker 10: than sports doc show right after this.
- 1:49:51Speaker 14: Wow John Boy, Wayne Born of the Sports John Hill
- 1:49:57Speaker 14: with Wayne Gamdyes coming up next.
- 1:50:02Speaker 34: It's four am Monday, and you're literally sucking baby snot
- 1:50:06Speaker 34: through a tube because she's congested.
- 1:50:09Speaker 21: Man, that's love.
- 1:50:10Speaker 34: And if you love her that much, love her enough
- 1:50:12Speaker 34: to make sure she's buckled in the right car seat.
- 1:50:14Speaker 34: To make sure your child's in the right seat for
- 1:50:17Speaker 34: their age and size, visit NHTSA dot gov slash the
- 1:50:20Speaker 34: right Seat. Show them you love them, keep them safe.
- 1:50:24Speaker 34: Visit NHTSA dot gov slash the Right Seat. Brought to
- 1:50:27Speaker 34: you by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the

- 1:50:31Speaker 7: Said.
- 1:50:31Speaker 32: You'd never buy your kid candy from the checkout aisle
- 1:50:34Speaker 32: or forget extra diapers. You'd never lick your thumb to
- 1:50:38Speaker 32: clean their face, never ever become a minivan mom. So
- 1:50:43Speaker 32: when you say you'd never leave your child in a
- 1:50:45Speaker 32: hot car, no, it can happen. Cars get hot fast
- 1:50:50Speaker 32: and kids can be at risk in temperatures as low
- 1:50:52Speaker 32: as sixty degrees. Fair night never happens before you leave

- 1:51:01Speaker 6: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:51:04Speaker 6: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:51:07Speaker 6: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:51:11Speaker 6: life insurance.
- 1:51:12Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife are

- 1:52:02Speaker 6: now back to the sports Job, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: It's time for the school board when we put a
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandya that isn't.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: A way so worn? And wait that's begin I gotta
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: join in.
- 1:52:26Speaker 5: And before my rhyme is over, you know I'm a
- 1:52:29Speaker 5: win school chance of rhyme let, So you better make Wayne.
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: It's anybody in the crowd that saying the kid.
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: Don't play.
- 1:52:37Speaker 10: Who the Sports Shop Show. I'm a sports shock, Wayne Candy.
- 1:52:40Speaker 10: We just played your clip up the Alabama fan. If
- 1:52:43Speaker 10: you get a chance, it's about six minutes long. You
- 1:52:45Speaker 10: should click on and hear the whole interview. It is
- 1:52:49Speaker 10: comedy embodied in a true passionate way. The Alabama fan
- 1:52:55Speaker 10: saying the loss was like coming home and finding your
- 1:52:58Speaker 10: wife in bed with the neighbor.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: That's how serious it was.
- 1:53:03Speaker 10: Think about how he jumped over a whole lot of
- 1:53:05Speaker 10: other ways he could have described it.
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: Yeah, coming home and finding your wife. I mean, I
- 1:53:10Speaker 3: can go next door and kid this dude.
- 1:53:14Speaker 10: But that is the passion that we hope it doesn't
- 1:53:17Speaker 10: get lost because that's the difference between college and pro
- 1:53:21Speaker 10: You feel like it's more home family, Uh, and it's not.
- 1:53:26Speaker 10: And he made a great point. You know, when you
- 1:53:29Speaker 10: have a guy it just basically went to a different
- 1:53:33Speaker 10: college each year. He doesn't have any real understanding understanding
- 1:53:37Speaker 10: of it, of the rival and you go to rivalies.
- 1:53:41Speaker 10: Even myself when I went to Auburn, I didn't really
- 1:53:46Speaker 10: understand the rivalry. I knew the Florida state Florida.
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: Rivaly.
- 1:53:52Speaker 10: I knew the Florida state Miami. I had seen on
- 1:53:55Speaker 10: TV a couple of different you know, USC would play
- 1:53:58Speaker 10: Notre Dame. But to get there and see uh, and
- 1:54:02Speaker 10: live in Auburn and see a rivalry so thick that
- 1:54:08Speaker 10: they don't even sell Alabama merchandise in the city, right,
- 1:54:15Speaker 10: and the whole city you do without. It's not like
- 1:54:19Speaker 10: all the companies are. Nobody sells Alabama. You can't go
- 1:54:23Speaker 10: and order Alabama jersey at the foot locker nowhere or anywhere.
- 1:54:29Speaker 10: I remember, I remember when I became aware of that.
- 1:54:32Speaker 10: I was traveling through the state of Alabama and someone
- 1:54:35Speaker 10: had and the person I was traveling with had an
- 1:54:39Speaker 10: Auburn sticker on their car and we were getting ready
- 1:54:43Speaker 10: to stop and get gas and they had h Alabama
- 1:54:47Speaker 10: banners in the window and they were like, I'm not
- 1:54:49Speaker 10: getting gas here, and I'm like why, And it.
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: Was two reasons.
- 1:54:53Speaker 3: One I probably won't be welcomed here, number one, and
- 1:54:57Speaker 3: number two, I'm not going to support Bama fans. But
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: the first one was I probably won't be welcome here.
- 1:55:02Speaker 3: We'd be risking it walking up in here with Auburn paraphernalia.
- 1:55:07Speaker 10: So yeah, it's a declaration. Yes, And I went. I
- 1:55:11Speaker 10: wore an Auburn T shirt to Georgia, Yes, and part
- 1:55:16Speaker 10: of my you know, every time I walked in the
- 1:55:20Speaker 10: greeters would be like, welcome to sanfral Stadium. Only to
- 1:55:23Speaker 10: me though, right, but everybody that worked at the stadium
- 1:55:26Speaker 10: it made a point to address me. But the Georgia
- 1:55:30Speaker 10: Auburn rivalry is not. I didn't feel like I was
- 1:55:34Speaker 10: putting myself in danger right right. I'm not sure I
- 1:55:39Speaker 10: would do that if I went to Tusk looser. No, No,
- 1:55:43Speaker 10: I would really put more. I put no thought into
- 1:55:47Speaker 10: wearing it into Georgia, right, but.
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: Going to tuch looser, it's like like like like being
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: on the wrong side of la and a blue baseball hat,
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: Like I'm gonna just take this off right now.
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: We were gonna like blue later.
- 1:56:02Speaker 10: So but that is that rivalry and it's great and
- 1:56:05Speaker 10: you want to keep that purity in college athletics.
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: Something, guys.
- 1:56:11Speaker 10: A lot of the Olympic stars from this Paris Olympics
- 1:56:15Speaker 10: has been making a lot of money and most of
- 1:56:19Speaker 10: these are female women athletes.
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: On only fans. Now, what happened to the whole.
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: You know, solidarity sports, brah, we are just as good
- 1:56:38Speaker 3: as the man.
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: We don't want you to see women. We want you
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: to see ath leg Were they just not talking about
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: that the US uniforms were cut.
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: Too salacious and making women objectify.
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: And wait, a million dollars a month on only fans.
- 1:56:59Speaker 10: Yeah, there's some of them, or I guess the prescription
- 1:57:02Speaker 10: or subscription is twenty dollars a month, and they're saying
- 1:57:07Speaker 10: that it has completely changed their life for the better.
- 1:57:11Speaker 10: The kind of money they can make on only fans.
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: Some of them are making millions a month to hell
- 1:57:16Speaker 3: with solidarity. You know, get me take that little sports
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: brash short haircut. I need me some long tresses and
- 1:57:25Speaker 3: something pushed up. Okay, so it's not just me, y'all.
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: Do remember when they were just saying, yeah, I wanted
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: respecting everything, but you know, Casher is everything around me?
- 1:57:36Speaker 10: Okay, okay, Well only fans seems too. They're capitalizing on
- 1:57:41Speaker 10: the fame they built over in Paris, and they are
- 1:57:45Speaker 10: on only fans.
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: Now, am I judging? We've all paid to look at
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: women naked? Am I right? Am I right? Not on
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: only fans.
- 1:57:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right. You're not on camera now. That's camera's
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: usually live. Yeah, there's no streaming over here. Caitlyn Clark,
- 1:58:05Speaker 3: the Woman of the Year. She will be playing on
- 1:58:07Speaker 3: the pro am at the Anaka. I think that's down
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: in Florida. I mean if the golf course is still
- 1:58:13Speaker 3: there after all this weather. But Caitlyn Clark, she says
- 1:58:18Speaker 3: he's going to spend and be in this golf tournament.
- 1:58:21Speaker 3: And I do remember interviewing saying that she was an
- 1:58:24Speaker 3: avid golfer. Anaika Sorestem, who is a pro golfer. I
- 1:58:30Speaker 3: guess her yearly tournament she's going to play in that
- 1:58:36Speaker 3: and you think Anaka called her up to get the viewership.
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: Of course, Well.
- 1:58:47Speaker 21: She played golf.
- 1:58:51Speaker 3: Because people called her up, like yeah, come on out here.
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: I mean because you know, because we didn't even know
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: she had a golf tournament. Clark, I didn't know Anaky
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: even because she played tennis, didn't she?
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:59:05Speaker 3: She was Okay, I'm thinking about who was the one
- 1:59:08Speaker 3: that played tennis that didn't really win?
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: Corner Corn. She married Juli Old Glaciers junior.
- 1:59:14Speaker 3: Right, and so sorry stam corner copy. That easy to confuse. Actually,
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: yeah it's the blonde. Yeah Sports Sports one. I'm got
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: stabbed right, No, that was that was Stephanie, not Steffen.
