Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Kill them music kill How many times have we told
- 0:07Speaker 1: you you don't.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Come up with upbeat music when you're coming in.
- 0:11Speaker 3: On a down though, you know, when he's clearly a
- 0:13Speaker 3: Knicks fan. That's why he's a born loser.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, there you go down anyway, you know, Right
- 0:20Speaker 2: moving on, Pauli Foods go, Tony Fools go, YadA YadA.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Ask you know the Sixers got swept by the Knicks,
- 0:26Speaker 2: and you're probably thinking this was a disaster for Philly
- 0:29Speaker 2: and makes us look bad. That's because you're a sheep
- 0:33Speaker 2: brainwashed by the lying media.
- 0:35Speaker 3: You know, you're literally about to find out your whole
- 0:38Speaker 3: life is a lie.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, we're gonna tell you that and another lie.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You know, people are saying Lebron has no chance to
- 0:45Speaker 2: win a title anymore. We'll tell you why he's actually
- 0:48Speaker 2: got his best chance in years. But talking about lies,
- 0:51Speaker 2: Tony one quick thing partners at Fox Sports Radio, who
- 0:54Speaker 2: know nothing, They showed us this data from Spotify and Apple.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I don't believe it, but it showed that most people
- 1:02Speaker 2: skip this part of the show right now when we're
- 1:04Speaker 2: talking and telling you to hit like and subscribe and follow, right, Keel,
- 1:10Speaker 2: this is why if this is true, this is why
- 1:12Speaker 2: you people out there are just dumb because if your
- 1:14Speaker 2: present skip, well, clearly you have time to hit buttons.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You know, you just got called out.
- 1:21Speaker 3: You probably send there in your car right now, embarrassed
- 1:25Speaker 3: by yourself, embarrassing for you.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, so you fix that right now, and
- 1:30Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It's also embarrassing all the people out there saying we
- 1:33Speaker 2: were wrong for predicting that the Sixers would win the
- 1:36Speaker 2: NBA title. Well, that's incorrect, and we're going to show
- 1:38Speaker 2: you why we are right about a lot of things.
- 1:40Speaker 2: In fact, that's why right now we're gonna do the
- 1:43Speaker 2: segment where we go over everything we got right.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You know, it's time.
- 1:46Speaker 2: It's one of our most populous Everybody loves it. Everybody
- 1:50Speaker 2: loves it. Where Pollie and Tony were right, where Paulie
- 1:54Speaker 2: and Tony were right.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Okay, so the first thing we got to address there. Up.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You see this Knicks player, idiot, Josh HoTT, came out
- 2:03Speaker 2: and he said that, to me, Philly is not a
- 2:06Speaker 2: sports town. And he said that because at the Sixers
- 2:09Speaker 2: home games during the playoffs, there were more Knicks fans
- 2:13Speaker 2: in the stands than Sixers fans. He said that show
- 2:16Speaker 2: the Sixers fans don't care about the team.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Wrong, wrong, jummy.
- 2:21Speaker 2: There's a much more obvious explanation, isn't that donting?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Of course I crunched the numbers here. You see, the
- 2:28Speaker 3: cheapest ticket for a Sixes home game was one hundred
- 2:31Speaker 3: and sixty five dollars, and the train from New York
- 2:35Speaker 3: to Philly and back is about thirty dollars, so that's
- 2:39Speaker 3: one hundred and ninety five dollars total. Meanwhile, the average
- 2:43Speaker 3: rent in New York for an apartment in Manhattan is
- 2:47Speaker 3: currently seven thousand dollars. That breaks down to two hundred
- 2:52Speaker 3: and thirty three dollars per day. So you see, if
- 2:55Speaker 3: people in New York want shelter and a place to
- 2:58Speaker 3: sit and eat, it's actually cheaper for them to take
- 3:02Speaker 3: the train down to Philly and go to the game
- 3:05Speaker 3: than it is to try and rent an apartment in
- 3:08Speaker 3: New York.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So this just shows Knicks.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Fans weren't there to support the team, but just there
- 3:14Speaker 3: to gets some much needed shade and air conditioning.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So there you go. Explains everything, Tony.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Just incredible monetary and also societal analysis there.
- 3:23Speaker 1: By hundred percent, and you know.
- 3:25Speaker 2: What it also shows, Tony is that we need to
- 3:27Speaker 2: keep these Knicks fans out of our home games.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, and there's a clear answer two words.
- 3:32Speaker 3: FANMN fraud legislation, one hundred percent right. This is why
- 3:38Speaker 3: I am calling on our politicians and all our security
- 3:42Speaker 3: guards to pass fan ID legislation. Before a game, each
- 3:48Speaker 3: fan should be forced to prove that they're a real
- 3:51Speaker 3: Sixers fan by providing their home address and a recent
- 3:55Speaker 3: utility bill.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's only fair, Yep, it's only fair. Anyway to the
- 4:00Speaker 2: next topic.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Where Pauli and Tony were right.
- 4:04Speaker 2: All right, the more dumb combins from the haters after
- 4:07Speaker 2: the Sixers got swept and then fired that President Daryl Moury,
- 4:11Speaker 2: These these more runs came out saying the Sixers blew
- 4:14Speaker 2: their shot at winning a title this year.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Please. Yeah, I think these people are getting ahead of themselves.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm way ahead to me.
- 4:21Speaker 2: The Sixers are clearly still in title contention. I mean,
- 4:25Speaker 2: if the Thunder win the title, well that's all because
- 4:28Speaker 2: of the Sixers, isn't it, Dony.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Clearly the Thunder mostly the Sixers. We drafted Jared McCain
- 4:35Speaker 3: and Isaiah Joe and then gave them to the Thunder.
- 4:38Speaker 3: So you know, Darryl Moury showed he can build a
- 4:42Speaker 3: championship roster, you know, just with another team. And let's
- 4:47Speaker 3: not forget who drafted SGA in twenty eighteen. Well, of
- 4:52Speaker 3: course that was the Hornets at number eleven. But who
- 4:55Speaker 3: had the number ten pick in that draft? That's right,
- 4:59Speaker 3: it was the six You're up one hundred percent, and
- 5:02Speaker 3: we knew SGA needed to be not on the Sixers,
- 5:06Speaker 3: you know, which just shows how good Darryl Morey was
- 5:11Speaker 3: at helping players find the right fit. And you know
- 5:15Speaker 3: you have to remember too, SGA also lost the MVP
- 5:19Speaker 3: in twenty twenty three.
- 5:21Speaker 1: To who did he lose it to?
- 5:23Speaker 3: Joe l Embiid of course, Well that clearly told SGA
- 5:29Speaker 3: that he needed to be better at basketball. So you know,
- 5:34Speaker 3: to all of Oklahoma, you're welcome.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you're welcome. Anyway, to our next one where Paully
- 5:41Speaker 2: and Dony were right. All right, while we're talking about drafting,
- 5:45Speaker 2: we've said over and over that the problem with the
- 5:47Speaker 2: Sixers isn't which players they're drafting, but which doctors.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Isn't that right? Though? One hundred percent?
- 5:54Speaker 3: This was yet another disappointing performance by head team physician
- 5:59Speaker 3: and lead or theip eats milititis h Zagonis MD. He
- 6:03Speaker 3: clearly did nothing to fix all of Joe l Embi's
- 6:07Speaker 3: ten different ligament issues. You know, this just shows we
- 6:11Speaker 3: really need to do a better job scouting prospects out
- 6:14Speaker 3: of medical school.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And I just looked this up.
- 6:18Speaker 3: You know where this doctor Sigonis went to medical school?
- 6:22Speaker 3: Albany Medical College. Wow, guess where Albanie is?
- 6:27Speaker 1: New York job.
- 6:29Speaker 3: So clearly the fix was in, or I guess the
- 6:33Speaker 3: fix wasn't in because he didn't fix anything.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Just astounding journalism that Dony and died. Well, now to
- 6:41Speaker 2: our next.
- 6:41Speaker 4: One where Paul and Tony were right.
- 6:45Speaker 1: All right, staying on the same topic.
- 6:47Speaker 2: People are saying that the Sixers process didn't work because
- 6:51Speaker 2: it's taken too long and the Sixers haven't won a
- 6:54Speaker 2: title since the process started, you know, thirteen fifteen years ago,
- 6:57Speaker 2: whatever it's been. So what this doesn't mean the process
- 7:01Speaker 2: isn't working right down exactly.
- 7:03Speaker 3: If you know anything about processes, then you would know
- 7:07Speaker 3: the best processes always take a long time, you know,
- 7:12Speaker 3: like the wine process. Do you drink a bottle of wine?
- 7:15Speaker 3: That's only thirteen years old. No, only if you're a
- 7:19Speaker 3: cave man. What do you think You just squeeze a
- 7:21Speaker 3: grape and then suddenly it's a cabinet or a mellot
- 7:25Speaker 3: of course, not you unsophisticated pig.
- 7:28Speaker 1: And you know what about the human creation process?
- 7:31Speaker 3: You just want a human being to stop growing after
- 7:33Speaker 3: thirteen years? Yeah, only if you want the entire world
- 7:37Speaker 3: to be some own biles have fun never going on
- 7:40Speaker 3: a roller coaster.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Exactly, you know, I bet all these morons bashing the
- 7:45Speaker 2: Sixers right now must be five feet.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Dollar un exactly.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Anyway, all right, next up where Pauli and Tony were right?
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah, another thing, just we need to point out here
- 7:56Speaker 2: this stupid playoff schedule.
- 7:58Speaker 1: What was that?
- 7:59Speaker 2: I mean, there's an obvious reason by the Sixers lost
- 8:03Speaker 2: to the Knicks mothers to this day.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Of course, you could just tell.
- 8:08Speaker 3: The Sixers were clearly worrying all week about what gifts
- 8:12Speaker 3: to get for their moms, and in that last game
- 8:14Speaker 3: on Sunday, they obviously felt terrible being on that court
- 8:19Speaker 3: and not at their mom's dining room table. Meanwhile, the
- 8:23Speaker 3: Knicks clearly don't care about their mothers, their anti mom
- 8:29Speaker 3: all those games. They clearly only cared about basketball and
- 8:34Speaker 3: not their sweet, poor old moms who carried them in
- 8:37Speaker 3: their wombs for nine months. And what did those sweet
- 8:41Speaker 3: selfless moms get. They got to be ignored on Mother's Day.
- 8:46Speaker 3: So shame on the Knicks. You want a title so bad,
- 8:49Speaker 3: here's your title. Worst sons ever, Absolutely shameful behavior by them,
- 8:55Speaker 3: just despicable.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You know, my heart breaks for all those moms. And
- 8:59Speaker 2: right next up where Pauli and Doni were right, another
- 9:03Speaker 2: thing we got to say. You know, like most people,
- 9:05Speaker 2: we thought this series would go seven games. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 2: that's not because of how the team stacked up. It's
- 9:11Speaker 2: because of New York mayors Zoe hand Mam Donnie exactly.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I thought this guy was all about a quality. A
- 9:17Speaker 2: four game sweep that's not a quality.
- 9:19Speaker 3: No, exactly like most people, I assume that after Game three,
- 9:25Speaker 3: Zohan Mamdani of all people, would openly call for a
- 9:29Speaker 3: redistribution of points and wins. But did he know there
- 9:34Speaker 3: was nothing but silence. And that's just typical politicians for you,
- 9:38Speaker 3: breaking all their promises. You know, don't call on us
- 9:42Speaker 3: when you need the Eagles to give the Giants a
- 9:44Speaker 3: couple of wins this season.
- 9:46Speaker 1: It's not happening. Not happening. No, but you did.
- 9:50Speaker 2: That's a good point, that, Donny, because if i'm so
- 9:52Speaker 2: hand Mamdani, well, you know, I would take some of
- 9:55Speaker 2: the wins from the Yankees right.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Now and just give him to the Mets.
- 9:59Speaker 4: You know.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Yeah, the Yankees are in first, Mets are in last.
- 10:02Speaker 2: You know, maybe you spread out the winds a little more,
- 10:04Speaker 2: then everybody's happy.
- 10:05Speaker 1: You know, here you go. That's a quality. You gotta
- 10:08Speaker 1: do that, You gotta do that. Oh you kidding me?
- 10:13Speaker 1: What what?
- 10:15Speaker 5: First of all, it's zoron mom, Donny, not Zohan. So
- 10:22Speaker 5: based on that logic, shouldn't the Phillies give some of
- 10:25Speaker 5: their wins to the Pirates or vice versa.
- 10:30Speaker 1: No, they're in different cities, bro, makes no sense.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Yeah, attention, we meant New York, this city, not the state, dummy.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah, although you know it's state. I'd like to see
- 10:41Speaker 2: you in coma. Yeah exactly.
- 10:44Speaker 3: You'll be in a state of shock when I stick
- 10:47Speaker 3: my radio in your bathtub.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Oh hea'y wait for that. Yeah, I don't take that.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we know you didn't have to tell us, stinky exactly,
- 10:56Speaker 2: we can tell ye, although you're stinking up the show.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Du he's killing a who he kill't exactly shut out,
- 11:04Speaker 2: just wrap the segment right there.
- 11:05Speaker 1: That's where Pauli and Tony were right.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Why Paulie and Tony were right.
- 11:10Speaker 2: By the way, you want to talk about people who
- 11:12Speaker 2: do stink, it's people who don't shop at the Official
- 11:15Speaker 2: Fusco Show merch Star. You know, right now, get twenty
- 11:18Speaker 2: percent off everything May fourteenth through May eighteenth. In fact,
- 11:23Speaker 2: we got some great new items designed specifically to make
- 11:26Speaker 2: you the envy of every man and woman around you,
- 11:30Speaker 2: unless you look like our producer, where unfortunately there's nothing
- 11:33Speaker 2: we can do for you.
- 11:34Speaker 1: You're on your own in that case exactly.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Anyway, all right, that's that when we come back a
- 11:40Speaker 2: brand new segment, you're gonna love. Uh, don't go anywhere
- 11:44Speaker 2: or we'll notice. Okay, we're back. You know a lot
- 11:48Speaker 2: of people don'ty in our business. They're just lazy. I mean,
- 11:51Speaker 2: you know, they get on, they talk sports, and when
- 11:54Speaker 2: they're done with that, well they just talk more sports.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and lazy, lazy, lazy.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You can't just of all the audience the same thing
- 12:01Speaker 2: you just gave them, you know, No, you got to
- 12:03Speaker 2: separate it out, you know. So you know, there was
- 12:06Speaker 2: a lot of stuff we didn't get. Those topics we
- 12:09Speaker 2: didn't get to earlier in the show. So right now
- 12:12Speaker 2: we're gonna do a brand new segment called stuff we
- 12:15Speaker 2: didn't get to earlier in the show.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Stuff we didn't get to earlier in the show.
- 12:24Speaker 2: All right, See, now we're in a whole new segment.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It just feels totally different, you know, exactly.
- 12:29Speaker 3: It's like the whole show is starting new again, exactly.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Fresh, feels fresh. Yeah, yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Anyway, first up, the topic from the NBA we didn't
- 12:38Speaker 2: get to, you know, after the Lakers got killed. There
- 12:41Speaker 2: a lot of people are saying Lebron should retire and
- 12:44Speaker 2: that his best shot at winning a title is behind him.
- 12:47Speaker 2: What a total opposite, don't you, Tony?
- 12:51Speaker 3: Of course, what do we all know would help Lebron
- 12:55Speaker 3: win a title?
- 12:55Speaker 1: Most two words, HNT the virus.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Look at what happened the last time a global virus
- 13:03Speaker 3: shut down the world. Lebron won a title, y'all. Now,
- 13:07Speaker 3: all that has to happen is this hantavirus has to
- 13:11Speaker 3: spread just a little bit more, you know, kill a
- 13:14Speaker 3: few more thirty or forty thousand people, you know, hopefully
- 13:17Speaker 3: around just about March twenty twenty seven, so he gets
- 13:21Speaker 3: a little break in the middle of the season, you know,
- 13:24Speaker 3: some time off, and then he goes into the bubble
- 13:27Speaker 3: and wins a title.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Easy.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Just terrific basketball and also contagion analysis that Dony. You know,
- 13:34Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised, Frankly, if Lebron was behind this
- 13:38Speaker 2: whole hantavirus. You know, it's still all times. Anyway, let's
- 13:41Speaker 2: get to soccer news. You see this Christo Fernandez, who
- 13:46Speaker 2: is one of the stars of that show ted Lasso.
- 13:49Speaker 2: He signed with a United Soccer League team, and you know, Donny, Frankly,
- 13:54Speaker 2: this guy to story just infuriates me, you know, because
- 13:57Speaker 2: I was sitting there the whole time watching, which is
- 14:00Speaker 2: a great job, by the way, terrific show.
- 14:02Speaker 1: You know what I love.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I love how it makes you do more than just laugh,
- 14:06Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying exactly.
- 14:08Speaker 3: It makes you think and laugh but then also cry
- 14:12Speaker 3: and then think some more.
- 14:13Speaker 1: You know, it's just terrific.
- 14:15Speaker 2: It's a great terrific Anyway, I was watching ted Lasso,
- 14:18Speaker 2: and what did I keep saying to you, Tony?
- 14:20Speaker 1: I said, the.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Philadelphia Union, the MLS team, Yeah, well, they should sign
- 14:24Speaker 2: this guy.
- 14:24Speaker 1: He's amazing.
- 14:25Speaker 2: He just saved the entire AFC Richmond from relegation.
- 14:29Speaker 1: You know, I mean, you know this is on.
- 14:31Speaker 3: This is infuriating because you remember in the nineteen eighties,
- 14:35Speaker 3: my dad and I went to see The Natural and
- 14:38Speaker 3: my dad he said, look at this guy, Roy Hobbes.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Why are the Phillies not signing this guy. He just
- 14:45Speaker 3: hit the lights out of the scoreboard. And we're signing
- 14:48Speaker 3: Darren Dalton when Roy Hobbs is a free agent. Just
- 14:52Speaker 3: call up this New York Knights team and get him already.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yep.
- 14:56Speaker 2: And you know, Tony, this is frustrating me though, because
- 15:00Speaker 2: remember the nineteen nineties, early nineties, there was that great
- 15:03Speaker 2: player Willy Mays Hayes, right or you know, I was.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I was so upset that the Phillies didn't sign this
- 15:09Speaker 2: guy because he clearly had the speed. Shit. You remember
- 15:12Speaker 2: there was that video, right, you know, they put the
- 15:14Speaker 2: bed on the field. This guy's sleeping, Willy mays Hayes,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and he wakes up mid sleep and he runs and
- 15:19Speaker 2: they're racing, and he wins the race despite being asleep.
- 15:23Speaker 2: You know, I called the Phillies myself, and I said,
- 15:25Speaker 2: you got to call the Cleveland Indians, you and sign
- 15:27Speaker 2: this guy. And you know what that that person told
- 15:30Speaker 2: me on the phone. They said, Willy Mayses is not
- 15:33Speaker 2: a real person.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I said, what do you mean?
- 15:36Speaker 2: I just saw this guy steal home plate with the
- 15:39Speaker 2: World Series on the line. Don't you watch the World Series?
- 15:42Speaker 2: Not a real person? I said, you're not a real organization,
- 15:46Speaker 2: you know exactly? And why didn't they sign that rookie
- 15:49Speaker 2: of the Year kid? He had a two hundred fastile
- 15:52Speaker 2: PARAA fastball. Apparently not good and not good enough for
- 15:56Speaker 2: the film? Try actually film, Try watching film. Theyly don't
- 15:59Speaker 2: watch film exactly. Talking about Philip Just finally, on a
- 16:03Speaker 2: bit of a down note, we do have to acknowledge
- 16:05Speaker 2: something nonsports there. This month we've lost both the Robert
- 16:10Speaker 2: Gerridine and now Donald Gibb, both in the movie Revenge
- 16:15Speaker 2: of the Nerds, which is considered one of the great
- 16:18Speaker 2: movies of the nineteen eighties, but not by us. No, no,
- 16:22Speaker 2: I mean, frankly, I've never understood the appeal of this movie,
- 16:26Speaker 2: do you, Tony.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Well, you know, in fairness, it was a good movie
- 16:31Speaker 3: for the first half you know, the jocks getting all
- 16:34Speaker 3: the girls and beating up on all these nerds. But
- 16:37Speaker 3: then it took this weird turn where these loser nerds
- 16:40Speaker 3: started stealing their girlfriends and winning these carnival games, and
- 16:44Speaker 3: then in the end the nerds get to keep their
- 16:47Speaker 3: loser fraternity. And I thought, what kind of message are
- 16:50Speaker 3: we sending that if you get girls and beat up
- 16:53Speaker 3: on people weakening you, then that's a bad thing and
- 16:56Speaker 3: it makes you a bad person.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Never understood that, understood that don Tony produced giving us
- 17:03Speaker 2: the state.
- 17:04Speaker 1: What do you what's your problem? I know, yeah, tell him,
- 17:08Speaker 1: yeah exactly.
- 17:10Speaker 5: I thought it's not a pretty good message.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well here's the message for you. Go fund
- 17:16Speaker 2: yourself all right.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you're probably still happy about that tricycle.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Race, Yeah exactly. Anyway, now be quiet, all right.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Anyway, that wraps a terrific show, except for that interruption.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Don't forget you visit the March store.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You get that, and oh my, ing me talk about
- 17:34Speaker 3: Revenge of the Nerves.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Corrections.
- 17:40Speaker 5: You said you wished the Phillies had drafted Willie Mays
- 17:44Speaker 5: Hayes in the nineteen nineties.
