- 0:46Speaker 2: There's people listening who are chicken ladies that will appreciate
- 0:50Speaker 2: this because I started hatching chickens and an incubator for
- 0:53Speaker 2: the very first time last year, and like half of
- 0:56Speaker 2: them hatched. This time, I put six sixteen eggs and
- 1:01Speaker 2: an incubator out of the sixteen fifteen hatched. That's an
- 1:05Speaker 2: amazing hatch rate that never happens. I'm proud.
- 1:09Speaker 4: You're becoming a better chicken lady by the day. I know.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I gave them all to my neighbors, so I'm like
- 1:14Speaker 2: the neighbor. I'm the chick supplier. Now, how can.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I be the uncle? If you gave them away.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I cap a feel. We just don't worry about it anyway.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Good morning, call the show. How was your weekend? Eight
- 1:25Speaker 2: three three five x one? Bama is the number that's
- 1:27Speaker 2: eight three three five x one two two sixty two.
- 1:31Speaker 2: It's what the hell? Headlines? What the hell are you
- 1:34Speaker 2: talking about?

- 1:50Speaker 2: Saturday only at Walmart.
- 1:52Speaker 4: It has cucumber in it.
- 1:54Speaker 2: That's what cucumber is the deal. Pickles are cucumber.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I'm fine with the pickle part.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I don't like the precursor cucumber. It's literally just whatever.
- 2:02Speaker 5: What the.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Super Easy Trivia with the Yella Mamma Show?
- 2:08Speaker 2: Taylor? Good morning? What are you doing today? I am
- 2:11Speaker 2: at work? Where do you work? What do you do?

- 2:31Speaker 2: Good job? Next one, who is the fairy in Peter Pan?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Thinker Bill?
- 2:38Speaker 2: And last one for the wind Taylor, what do you
- 2:41Speaker 2: use to write on a blackboard? On a blackboard? That's it?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Congratulations Taylor, you just won super easy trivia.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Yay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the
- 3:05Speaker 1: Elemma Show.
- 3:06Speaker 2: If you want to trade trinkets, there's any box in
- 3:09Speaker 2: Birmingham that you can. It's the Birmingham Trinket Trade. It's
- 3:12Speaker 2: like those little free libraries where you take a trinket,
- 3:15Speaker 2: leave a trinket. It's got bracelets, keychain, stickers and stuff.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's brand new. It's at the sandwich Shop the Electric
- 3:22Speaker 2: in East Avondale. The Michael Jackson biopic is officially out.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It has shattered records. It debuted at ninety seven million
- 3:30Speaker 2: dollars in US ticket sales two hundred and seventeen million
- 3:34Speaker 2: dollars worldwide, so this makes this the highest grossing opening
- 3:38Speaker 2: for any biopic in cinema history. Michael's nephew is who's
- 3:43Speaker 2: playing him in the movie. He's never acted before this
- 3:46Speaker 2: movie either, so that's pretty cool. Kellogg is putting toys
- 3:51Speaker 2: back in some of its cereal boxes. It is time
- 3:54Speaker 2: to be a kid again. I'm so excited for the
- 3:56Speaker 2: first time in a decade. This is timed with the
- 3:59Speaker 2: release of Toy Story five. Starting Sunday, special edition boxes
- 4:04Speaker 2: at Frosted Flakes, Free Loops, Applejacks, and corn Pops are
- 4:07Speaker 2: going to have small figures of the characters from Toy Story.
- 4:10Speaker 2: They cut toys out of boxes like well over a
- 4:13Speaker 2: decade ago. Did you have toys in your cereal boxes
- 4:16Speaker 2: when you were a kid. Yes, So they did it
- 4:18Speaker 2: to cut costs and concerns over choking hazards. But Kellogg
- 4:21Speaker 2: says this just made it a natural fit with Toy
- 4:24Speaker 2: Story five. So keep a look out. Those boxes will
- 4:27Speaker 2: be out real soon. And that's three things you need
- 4:29Speaker 2: to know more at the Alabama Show dot com, you.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 4:36Speaker 5: On to man.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Good morning, Alex. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 4:40Speaker 5: Am I wrong for not leaving work to help my
- 4:43Speaker 5: wife mish' around out of gas?
- 4:44Speaker 3: I know?
- 4:45Speaker 2: Call the show if you ever have an issue for
- 4:47Speaker 2: Ask Alabama and we'll try to help. Eight three three
- 4:50Speaker 2: five O one. Mbama is the number. Why did you
- 4:52Speaker 2: not help your wife when she ran out of gas?
- 4:54Speaker 5: Well, my wife and I have been married for eleven years. Okay,
- 4:57Speaker 5: I worked full time, She'll laugh. Week, my wife didn't
- 5:02Speaker 5: have to work and decided to go visit her sister,
- 5:04Speaker 5: who lives an hour away. She didn't tell me she
- 5:07Speaker 5: was going, and she called me hysterical to tell me
- 5:11Speaker 5: that she ran out of gas on her way there
- 5:12Speaker 5: in the middle of nowhere.
- 5:14Speaker 2: So what did you do when she called to you?
- 5:16Speaker 5: Well, I told her I couldn't help her because I
- 5:19Speaker 5: was at work. I had a lot of important meetings
- 5:21Speaker 5: that day I couldn't miss, and I told her to
- 5:23Speaker 5: call sister or took plea.
- 5:25Speaker 2: How did she feel about that?
- 5:27Speaker 5: She got mad at me, and she hung up on
- 5:29Speaker 5: me and hasn't spoken to me for days. Rightfully, So,
- 5:33Speaker 5: I've apologized multiple times for not being able to leave
- 5:36Speaker 5: and help her, and she just keeps saying that she can't.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Count on me anymore.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Am I a jerk for not leaving work to help her?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yes, yes, she will, I don't think so. Oh my god,
- 5:45Speaker 2: he was at work.
- 5:47Speaker 4: What does she expect him to like automatically drop literally?
- 5:50Speaker 4: What could pay their bills? This is on her. She
- 5:52Speaker 4: can see the gas gauge. I don't know why we
- 5:55Speaker 4: have to make an excuse for her.
- 5:57Speaker 2: My guy, if you leave, If I'm married to you
- 5:59Speaker 2: and can you leave me stranded on the side of
- 6:01Speaker 2: the road, We're not gonna be married anymore. Call the show.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Eight three three five, Oy and Bama is the number.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Have you ever run out of gas and had to
- 6:09Speaker 2: call your spouse? And if you're the spouse, would you
- 6:12Speaker 2: go help them? Eight three three five oh one two
- 6:14Speaker 2: two sixty You were listening.
- 6:16Speaker 1: To the Alabama Show on demand.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I can't believe you wouldn't go help if you were
- 6:22Speaker 2: married and your wife ran out of gas.
- 6:25Speaker 4: If I'm at work, if I'm in the middle of
- 6:27Speaker 4: a job, that is what I have to be working
- 6:30Speaker 4: on at that moment.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Have you ever ran out of gas?
- 6:33Speaker 4: No, because I probably ze getting guests before I run out.
- 6:36Speaker 2: You're gonna run out of gas, and you're gonna call
- 6:39Speaker 2: me asking you to help, asking me to help you,
- 6:41Speaker 2: and I'm gonna say no, But I can't stop what
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm doing. I'm doing farm chores.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Good. That's the consequences of my own actions.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Call the show. Have you ever ran out of gas
- 6:50Speaker 2: and what happened? Who'd you call to help you? Eight
- 6:52Speaker 2: three three five iym BAMA is the number you were
- 6:55Speaker 2: listening to.
- 6:56Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand?
- 6:58Speaker 2: Eight three three five iym Bama is the number to
- 7:00Speaker 2: call the show. Have you ever been stranded on the
- 7:03Speaker 2: side of the road, run out of gas and your
- 7:05Speaker 2: spouse refused to come help you? Good morning? Who's this?
- 7:10Speaker 3: This is Shila, and it's not just gas. I was
- 7:14Speaker 3: stuck in a snow drift off the road with a
- 7:18Speaker 3: broken ankle and he would have come what what? And
- 7:24Speaker 3: he was operating the tow truck.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? So? Are you still married?
- 7:30Speaker 3: I am not? Oh hell no.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Did you do for that?
- 7:35Speaker 5: No? But many other things?
- 7:37Speaker 2: Okay, I mean that was just one of the many girl.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Oh for sure.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Well, good for you, and I'm glad you made it
- 7:44Speaker 2: out of that snow drift. How's your ankle?
- 7:46Speaker 3: Oh that was many many years ago.
- 7:48Speaker 2: You got any man now that'll help you out when
- 7:50Speaker 2: you're stranded?
- 7:51Speaker 3: Oh heck yeah, almost seventeen years with Prince Charming.
- 7:56Speaker 2: That's awesome. You get an airhorn for that, Sheila, Thank
- 8:00Speaker 2: you for carling?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah, very good, Thanks, bye bye bye.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Elemma Show.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Birmingham just ranked the second best market in the US
- 8:11Speaker 2: for first time home buyers in twenty twenty six. According
- 8:14Speaker 2: to Zillah. They judged on more affordable prices, more homes,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and less competition for affordable listings. Number one went to Jacksonville, Florida.
- 8:23Speaker 2: But now it's a good time. If you are a
- 8:25Speaker 2: first time home buyer and you want to buy a house,
- 8:27Speaker 2: Birmingham's the perfect place to do it. Harry Styles and
- 8:30Speaker 2: Zoe Kravitz are reportedly engaged. Zoe was seen wearing a
- 8:34Speaker 2: diamond ring on that finger while walking around London this
- 8:38Speaker 2: past weekend and people were going crazy. But now a
- 8:41Speaker 2: source has come out and also said they are engaged.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They say that Harry is completely smitten with Zoe. They've
- 8:47Speaker 2: been dating less than a year. Harry was famously dating
- 8:51Speaker 2: Olivia Wilde for several years and Zoe had been dating
- 8:55Speaker 2: Channing Tatum and they broke up in twenty twenty four,
- 8:57Speaker 2: So literally like they're engaged like that super fast. Disney
- 9:03Speaker 2: is now thinking about banning influencers from live streaming at
- 9:07Speaker 2: Disney World and Disneyland.
- 9:10Speaker 4: I think I think it makes sense.
- 9:11Speaker 2: This all was prompted by a recent swatting incident at
- 9:16Speaker 2: Disneyland that prompted a large police response. It was tied
- 9:20Speaker 2: to a live stream, so the focus would be on
- 9:23Speaker 2: monetized streams for influencers who get money through tips, ads
- 9:26Speaker 2: or live shopping inside the park. So if you're an
- 9:29Speaker 2: influencer and you go to Disney, the rules might change
- 9:32Speaker 2: for you soon. That's three things you need to know.
- 9:34Speaker 2: More at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 9:38Speaker 1: If you're listening to the Alabama Show, the following program
- 9:41Speaker 1: is on demand.
- 9:43Speaker 2: If you have good news that you want to share,
- 9:46Speaker 2: call the show eight three three five oh one. Bama
- 9:49Speaker 2: is the number. Lacey, good morning. What's your good news?
- 9:53Speaker 6: I'm a mom of seven and I'm gratulating college on
- 9:57Speaker 6: the twenty third.
- 9:58Speaker 2: That is so awesome. Congratulations, that's great. What are you
- 10:05Speaker 2: going to do after you graduate? What are you going
- 10:07Speaker 2: to do with your degree? No?
- 10:09Speaker 6: I don't really know what I want to do yet,
- 10:12Speaker 6: just kind of thinking about it right now.
- 10:14Speaker 2: That's what's awesome, because being a mom is already a
- 10:16Speaker 2: job on its own, and you have a I'm assuming
- 10:19Speaker 2: a full time job, and you've been going to college.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I bet you are so ready to sleep.
- 10:24Speaker 6: You have no idea I have. I have kids from
- 10:27Speaker 6: fifteen all the way down to two.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Girl. Congratulations, that is awesome. I am super happy for you.
- 10:35Speaker 6: Thank you so so much. I appreciate it.
- 10:38Speaker 1: If you were listening to the Alabama Show on dement,
- 10:41Speaker 1: one of us almost didn't survive the weekend.
- 10:44Speaker 4: It was a close one. It was very close.
- 10:47Speaker 2: By the way, thank you for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I'm Alabama with producer Blake. What'd you do?
- 10:53Speaker 4: I almost started a fire in my kitchen.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, not your kitchen, somebody else's kitchen of the house
- 10:58Speaker 2: you're renting.
- 11:00Speaker 4: And that's the point I rented. So it's okay because
- 11:03Speaker 4: I didn't burn anything.
- 11:04Speaker 2: What happened.
- 11:05Speaker 4: So I started cooking nothing even fancy. I kind of
- 11:09Speaker 4: feel bad that it is what it was cooking. Pizza
- 11:11Speaker 4: rolls am in the oven and I went to the
- 11:15Speaker 4: back to go finish my laundry.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And after you had put the pizza rolls in the
- 11:19Speaker 2: oven and turn the oven.
- 11:20Speaker 4: On correct and you only got to cook them for like,
- 11:22Speaker 4: you know, ten minutes. Yeah, well, I fell asleep by accident.
- 11:26Speaker 4: You didn't tell me you fell asleep. I wanted to
- 11:28Speaker 4: let you know now. So I fell asleep and I
- 11:31Speaker 4: woke up an hour later, and I smelled like something
- 11:35Speaker 4: smells burning, and I went, oh, no, forgot it was
- 11:41Speaker 4: in there.
- 11:41Speaker 2: So was there smoke all in the house.
- 11:44Speaker 4: It smelled like it. But no, And now the oven
- 11:47Speaker 4: has like a I need to go clean it out.
- 11:49Speaker 4: I gotta go clean out the oven. What's in the
- 11:51Speaker 4: oven like Crispy's on the bottom. I don't know what
- 11:55Speaker 4: you'd call that, but the I got the pizza rolls
- 11:58Speaker 4: out and they were black. I figured out you don't
- 12:01Speaker 4: cook pizza rolls more than ten minutes. I know why.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Now you set a timer if you're cooking something, you
- 12:07Speaker 2: don't go lay down and take a nap. Update.
- 12:10Speaker 4: I did set a timer. I didn't hear it because
- 12:13Speaker 4: I left my phone in the kitchen. Oh I didn't
- 12:19Speaker 4: mean too. I was doing laundry and I fell asleep.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Your story keeps changing, and the email you sent me
- 12:25Speaker 2: you were playing video games.
- 12:27Speaker 4: I didn't want to tell you that because I felt bad.
- 12:29Speaker 2: So what you're saying is you're a liar and you've
- 12:32Speaker 2: almost burned the house sound that you're renting on the show.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I fell asleep I've done that. I have forgotten that
- 12:40Speaker 2: I was cooking stuff but never fell asleep.
- 12:42Speaker 4: But it's just forgotten.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Then remember to pull it out when I smelled it.
- 12:45Speaker 2: But if this has ever happened to you, or if
- 12:48Speaker 2: you're a firefighter and you've shown up on calls to
- 12:50Speaker 2: people who did this, but your lecture producer Blake, eight
- 12:54Speaker 2: three three five I one and BAMA is the number.
- 12:57Speaker 2: That's eight three three five x one two two six.
- 13:00Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on demand, eight
- 13:03Speaker 1: three thirty five I and BAMA is the number to
- 13:06Speaker 1: call the show, Susan, good morning.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Did you ever forget something was in the oven?
- 13:10Speaker 6: I didn't forget the oven. I forgot it was on
- 13:12Speaker 6: the stove.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Oh no, what was it? It was harbled eggs?
- 13:16Speaker 5: Girl?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Did they explode?
- 13:18Speaker 5: They were exploded eggs?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Did they How big? How big is an egg explosion?
- 13:26Speaker 2: Was it like on your ceiling?
- 13:28Speaker 3: Oh?
- 13:28Speaker 2: My god, it's horrible.
- 13:29Speaker 3: So I had it on the front eye.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Uh so it got some of the ceiling and then
- 13:33Speaker 5: like the you know hood above the sevening.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure I cleaned.
- 13:37Speaker 7: That for hours and it still smells like it today,
- 13:42Speaker 7: doesn't it smell horrible. Thanks for calling, Susan.
- 13:47Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Love listening to you guys.

- 13:54Speaker 2: Savannah, do you ever leave something in the oven?
- 13:57Speaker 3: No? But my my grandfather, he was a firefighter.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Okay. At first, I have so many questions.
- 14:04Speaker 3: How do you fall asleep through laundry?
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah? How do you fall a sleeping laundry?
- 14:09Speaker 7: Part of what part of the laundry process requires.
- 14:12Speaker 6: You to lay down and close your eyes?
- 14:14Speaker 4: It was a long week, Savannah, It was a long week.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Okay. So are you saying your granddad showed up to
- 14:25Speaker 2: house calls where people burnt their house down while cooking.
- 14:28Speaker 6: All the time, all the time.
- 14:30Speaker 2: There you go, Producer Blake, you are officially a hazard.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I'm not a hazard.
- 14:35Speaker 3: They should give you that.
- 14:36Speaker 6: The firefighters should give you a warning label.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'm not that bad warning falls asleep while baking pizza rolls?
- 14:45Speaker 3: How do you mess up pizza rolls?
- 14:47Speaker 2: That's what I said, Savannah. A nine year old.
- 14:50Speaker 7: Can successfully make pizza.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Rolls himself unsupervised.
