- 0:19Thank you very much for joining our broadcast today.
- 0:22I appreciate every minute that I'm with you because it gives me the opportunity to share some uh very important news uh for you to hopefully consume as fact, as facts that you could take to the bank, gives you a greater understanding of what really is going on, without worrying about whether the news that you're receiving from us is uh editorialized, if it was spliced and cut and diced uh to fit a political agenda or uh one's political narrative.
- 0:54Unfortunately, and you've heard me say this over and over again, I probably will say it uh as as as as time goes on, because it is a fact.
- 1:03We don't have a media like we did years ago.
- 1:06Journalism died long, long time ago.
- 1:08I was asked by a reporter, uh, I guess a couple of months ago.
- 1:12Well, well, how do you feel about news broadcast today?
- 1:15Uh how do you feel about journalism today?
- 1:18I said, well, news broadcasts, I don't feel one way or another.
- 1:21It is what it is, but journalism doesn't exist very much in America anymore.
- 1:26There's no longer any journalism.
- 1:28By the way, folks, think about this.
- 1:32Somebody uh the other day asked me for a newspaper.
- 1:36I said, newspaper.
- 1:38I haven't seen a newspaper in years.
- 1:41Now, there's some local papers that I've seen around, but not the major newspaper outlets that we had years ago.
- 1:48I used to deliver papers.
- 1:49Yeah, as a kid in school to make a few bucks, throwing them on people's porches and their driveways.
- 1:55You know, I mean, bad weather, got plastic bags.
- 1:58Yep, we put them newspapers in plastic bags and threw them on the porches and in the driveways.
- 2:03That is was the way it was.
- 2:05We read newspapers.
- 2:08We read magazines, Vic magazines, get a magazine today.
- 2:12You're lucky you got 10 pages, and eight out of 10 pages are advertisements.
- 2:17What do you think of that, folks?
- 2:19My point is this.
- 2:20We're not getting Fed information that we were years ago.
- 2:24There are no, there's no one seems to me is writing the news.
- 2:28You know, I mean, they're interpreting the news, and then they're shaping their opinions and embedding it in the news.
- 2:34At least that's the way I see it.
- 2:36That's the way I see it.
- 2:38But the fact of the matter is is that we've got to deal with it today.
- 2:42We got to do the best we could in order to uh uh understand what's going on around us and in order for us to address the problems that we're facing.
- 2:53Now, before I get into a lot of the questions, and maybe let's just get into one question.
- 2:58There's so many, it would take 10 broadcasts to answer them all.
- 3:02But I want to answer the question who really started the war with Iran.
- 3:07Who really started it?
- 3:09Because there are people in this country, including congressional representatives who should know better, who are clearly stating to the American people that it's the president of the United States who started the war.
- 3:23It's the United States Navy that started the war.
- 3:25It's the United States Army, Marines, Air Force, all of our military personnel started the war.
- 3:30Really?
- 3:31You gotta wonder how deep in the sand the heads of these people have been.
- 3:37But before I get into that, I don't want to miss one important fact.
- 3:41To begin with, I want to extend my sympathies and the sympathies of the America Out Loud News family are sincerest condolences to the families of all the U.S.
- 3:54service members who lost their lives in the recent attacks on a Sadhu military base recently.
- 4:01Sad folks, terrible.
- 4:02In war, there are losses, and when those losses come, we all get hurt.
- 4:07The offense, the events, folks that are unfolding in Iran and the actions of our heroes in uniform, that is what represents the genuine cost of freedom.
- 4:17Our war fighters are courageously fighting in Iran and globally.
- 4:21That's right, not just in Iran, but they're fighting all over the globe for the preservation of freedom, not only in some of the countries that they are fighting in, but for the United States of America.
- 4:32And despite these unbelievable, ridiculous negative reports out of the news media, I believe that most Americans, like you and me, understand the reasons for this conflict.
- 4:44The heroes, the heroes that have sacrificed their lives for this country in all conflicts, and now this one, they were meaningful.
- 4:55They were not in vain, they were meaningful and never forget that.
- 5:02Well, as I mentioned time and time again, it is shocking and it is appalling to see reports of American leaders, and I'm talking about those in the United States Congress, some senators, some congressmen, and there are others on state and local levels, but they continue to question our intentions and our military actions during wartime.
- 5:21What's even more troubling is hearing that some members of our Congress, now this is really going to get you mad if you didn't hear this, voted against a resolution declaring Iran the largest state sponsor of terrorism.
- 5:35Yes, voted against, not for, against a resolution.
- 5:41Calling Iran out as one of the largest state sponsors of terrorism in the world, and perhaps even probably even in the history of mankind.
- 5:53How do you do that?
- 5:54How do you vote against that type of resolution?
- 5:57Now you find out who these people are in Congress, and then doesn't matter, Republican, Democrat, independent, you find out who they are, you should give them a phone call, let them know that you are going to make sure that they are going to be defeated in their next election or re-election, because you're going to go out and you're going to vote against them and urge others to vote against them.
- 6:21The sad part of the story is probably without a doubt, there will be people who will support them, who will vote for them.
- 6:30And yet, the impact, I'm talking about the negative impact on the morale, the welfare, the feelings, the emotions of not only those who are in uniform and their families, but all of us who are Americans.
- 6:44We should be outraged.
- 6:46We should truly show our outrage over what these individuals did.
- 6:53You know who's not outraged?
- 6:54You know who's applauding?
- 6:56President Xi over there in communist China, Vladimir Putin over there in Moscow.
- 7:02The government of what's left of it of Iran, they have been emboldened to take very serious actions against us, believing now that there's great division in the United States of America, not because of you and me, but because of some of the people we elected to office.
- 7:19It's time to get them out.
- 7:20I mean, folks, they gotta go.
- 7:22They gotta go.
- 7:23Hey, it's one thing not wanting to stand for the victims of terrorism, not wanting to stand with the whole world watching during the State of the Union message for our country.
- 7:37It's another thing actually voting for the bad guys.
- 7:41That's right.
- 7:42They don't want to hear this, but I'm gonna tell it.
- 7:44You all who voted against that resolution that would call out Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism, the largest one, you have shown your support for the enemies of this country.
- 7:58That's my belief, and it's a belief I believe of probably the majority of Americans.
- 8:05Shame on you.
- 8:07Shame, shame, shame on you.
- 8:11Additionally, we continue to hear from politicians who state that we should be at the negotiating table with Iran.
- 8:18And then, furthermore, they continue to just beat the drum as to who started this war.
- 8:24Israel started this war.
- 8:26It's Israel's fight, not ours.
- 8:28That's what we hear.
- 8:29No, no, no.
- 8:31America started this war, and America is dragging the entire world into a world war.
- 8:36No, no, no, that's not true.
- 8:39Boy, again, how deep are their heads in the sand?
- 8:43Gotta be really deep.
- 8:45Well, anyway, I think what we need to do is to turn the clock back in history.
- 8:51And let's share some lost and forgotten facts regarding the beginning of this war.
- 8:56I happened to be here when this war started 47 years ago.
- 9:02And you know what?
- 9:03A lot of people either have forgotten about this or they know about it and they want to forget about it.
- 9:09Because when the facts are made clear, the majority of the American people will understand why we're at war with Iran.
- 9:19Because it was Iran in November of 1979, who stormed our U.S.
- 9:27embassy in Tehran.
- 9:28They occupied that embassy.
- 9:30They detained 66 Americans, including 52 diplomats and staff members, including some Marines.
- 9:37Now, this action was taken in response to the United States support for former Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi.
- 9:45Now, his uh his uh grandson, I believe, is the one who's seeking to become the leader of Iran at this point.
- 9:51But for those of you who don't know much history about the relationship between Iran under the uh leadership of the Shah at that time.
- 10:00In the United States, it was good.
- 10:01Not saying he was a good guy.
- 10:03He was not much of a good guy.
- 10:05But they did have freedoms there in Iran.
- 10:08They did have liberties, and they were an ally of the United States.
- 10:12But you know what?
- 10:14A dictator is a dictator.
- 10:16There are a lot of things going on that we were not in support of, but we needed a strong ally in addition to Israel in the Mideast, and the Shah actually stepped up and became our ally.
- 10:27But because of that, you got these lunatics, as the Secretary of State describes them as in Iran, these militants.
- 10:35They decide one day that they're going to take things into their own hands.
- 10:39They stormed the embassy, and there we got it.
- 10:42We're seeing the smoke come out of the windows, the windows being broken.
- 10:45Next thing you know, they're uh marching our American citizens out of the embassy, blindfolded, bloodied.
- 10:54Some of them were smacked around and beaten and dragged out of the embassy with their hands tied behind their backs and dragged, dragged across the front lawn and I don't know, put into a truck and shipped off to some undisclosed location.
- 11:0866 of them, including a few Marines.
- 11:13So despite several months of diplomatic efforts, well, it's Iran, folks.
- 11:18Negotiations were unsuccessful.
- 11:21In April of 1980, it's a year later, after the storming of our embassy, President Jimmy Carter, he approved of a military operation aimed at rescuing the 53 hostages.
- 11:37I believe some of them, and uh again, a little bit unclear on this part of history.
- 11:41I believe some of the 66 somehow were released for whatever reason.
- 11:45Uh, I believe that the Iranian government was trying to use them as negotiating tools in order to get exactly what they wanted.
- 11:52Well, it didn't work out very well for them at that time.
- 11:55Well, I should say it didn't work out very well for us until something very significant happened.
- 12:01We'll get to that in a minute.
- 12:03So, what should have happened?
- 12:05Well, Jimmy Carter waited too long.
- 12:07He didn't want to drop bombs on uh Iran.
- 12:11He didn't want to go after the militants, he didn't want to do anything, anything that at least in his view would jeopardize the lives of the hostages.
- 12:21Well, their lives have already been jeopardized.
- 12:24And the Iranians actually told Carter that if he didn't keep to their demands, they would kill the hostages.
- 12:35They would kill our citizens.
- 12:37So here's what happens.
- 12:38President Jimmy Carter with the United States uh joint chiefs of staff supporting him, approves of Operation Eagle Claw.
- 12:47Now that was a mission that brought together 118 elite Delta Force soldiers and personnel from all branches of the U.S.
- 12:55military, army, navy, marines, air force, they're all there, right?
- 12:58The plan called for helicopters to carry our troops to a desert staging area known as Desert One.
- 13:05I remember this very very clearly.
- 13:08And after they landed over at Desert One, they were going to move on to Tehran for an embassy raid.
- 13:15They were going to raid the embassy, because they apparently, through intelligence sources, still had or had information that the hostages were in the embassy, taken out, allegedly transported somewhere that we didn't know, but somehow, some way we received information that they were back in the embassy, with of course their captors.
- 13:37Now, although eight helicopters were sent, only five arrived ready for action, because the remaining one of those, the remaining helicopters, they had mechanical failures, hydraulic failures, there were sandstorms they ran into, and a lot of crack rotor blades.
- 13:54Could you imagine that?
- 13:55Could you imagine?
- 13:56This was going on during a rescue mission.
- 13:58Since at least six operational helicopters were required required, well, they aborted the mission.
- 14:06They decided to tell those pilots bring those helicopters back.
- 14:10We're going to endanger the lives of those uh rescuers, just bring those troops back.
- 14:14We don't need more death and destruction on our hands.
- 14:18Well, here's what happens.
- 14:20We had other U.S.
- 14:22forces that went a little later.
- 14:24Uh they uh uh were ready to go.
- 14:28Well, they landed or at least attempted to land in the desert.
- 14:31One helicopter crashed into a transport plane carrying troops and fuel, ignited a fire that destroyed both the helicopter and the aircraft, and killed eight Americans.
- 14:43So we had Americans die anyway, with regard to what became a very, very widespread news item for those to criticize our government with, and unfortunately, we lost on that one, and the hostages remained with their captives in Tehran, and then it happened.
- 15:06After all the threats against America, all the bullying of Jimmy Carter, who did absolutely nothing before or after these attempted failed rescue missions, there was an election for the American presidency, and Ronald Reagan got elected.
- 15:24Now, I remember this very clearly.
- 15:28Ronald Reagan puts his right hand up and his left hand on the Bible, and he's being sworn in as the president of the United States of America, replacing Jimmy Carter.
- 15:39Not a minute after Ronald Reagan went to the podium to give his speech at the inauguration on the at the Capitol.
- 15:49A message came in that the hostages were freed.
- 15:54They were set free on their way to an Air Force base, a U.S.
- 15:58Air Force base in Germany.
- 16:01What happened?
- 16:02Ronald Reagan made it very clear, very very clear during his run for the presidency, his campaign, that Iran would pay a heavy, heavy, heavy price if he becomes president and those hostages are killed.
- 16:20He made it clear.
- 16:21It was clear to every American that Ronald O'Reagan, and may I add probably very clear or no doubt very clear to the Iranians at that time that Ronald Reagan would have used the might of the United States military to force Iran to free our hostages.
- 16:36They would have paid way back then a very heavy price.
- 16:39They would have known we America means business.
- 16:44That's the reason why Iran released those hostages minutes after Ronald Reagan became president of the United States of America.
- 16:54That's the real reason why.
- 16:56So who started the war?
- 16:58Who started the war fifth 47 years ago?
- 17:02Wasn't Jimmy Carter.
- 17:04Although I'll tell you what, the guy tried, although it failed, he did try, but he could have taken tough action way before that, but he didn't.
- 17:12But he tried eventually.
- 17:14He didn't start the war.
- 17:16The United States military didn't start the war.
- 17:19Iran started the war.
- 17:21Ronald Reagan didn't start this war.
- 17:24Iran did 47 years ago.
- 17:27And by the way, no, Donald Trump.
- 17:31Israel didn't start the war.
- 17:34The American people didn't start the war.
- 17:37The lunatics in Iran started the war 47 years ago.
- 17:42And for 47 years, they have killed, maimed, tortured, beaten, people from all walks of life, all around the world, through the production of IEDs, explosive devices that they just put out on highways and byways and blow up no matter who's driving over them.
- 18:03Responsible for the naming and killing of American troops during the Iraq war.
- 18:09Had something to do with the bombing of the USS Coal, a US Navy warship years ago.
- 18:14All this is going on over a 47-year period.
- 18:18Nobody's doing anything.
- 18:19Oh, I must say there was somebody doing something.
- 18:22The United States Congress.
- 18:24They were having their meetings, their commissions, they were having their investigations.
- 18:29They were getting on the news on C-Span.
- 18:31Well, we're going to do this and we're going to do that.
- 18:33And they do nothing.
- 18:35Absolutely nothing.
- 18:36You're going to hear me say that a lot on this broadcast, because I'm hoping to get that through everybody's head, that the people that are being elected to office, not all of them.
- 18:45We got some real good ones there.
- 18:47Unfortunately, you don't hear much about them because they're the good guys.
- 18:51They're doing what's right.
- 18:52They're not running to the microphones.
- 18:55They're not running to get publicity.
- 18:57In fact, some of them are not even for office anymore, sadly to say.
- 19:01Because we don't want to lose the good guys.
- 19:04We want to keep them in office.
- 19:06But many of them, maybe far too many of them at this point, are more interested in their political careers and their political agenda and the survival of their political party than the survival of the people of the United States of America.
- 19:21And that's what I believe that many people across this country believe.
- 19:26But should this not be enough proof to the doubters of what I'm saying?
- 19:31To the doubters of those who are out there saying, Look, give me evidence that President Trump started this war.
- 19:39Give me evidence that the United States of America started this war.
- 19:44Give me the evidence.
- 19:46There is not, oh, we got evidence.
- 19:49Who fired the first shots?
- 19:51Well, let's talk about that.
- 19:52Did Israel fire the first shots?
- 19:55You think so?
- 19:56Really?
- 19:58October 7th.
- 20:00Remember that day, October 7th?
- 20:02Do you know who is behind October 7th?
- 20:05Hmm.
- 20:06Interesting, isn't it?
- 20:08Uh so all right.
- 20:09So if it wasn't Israel, it had to be America.
- 20:12Okay.
- 20:12When did we fire the first shot?
- 20:14Well, Mr.
- 20:14Rogers, didn't you see all these missiles and bombs and jets and aircraft carriers and ships being sent out to the peaceful, quiet waters off the coast of Iran?
- 20:26Yeah.
- 20:27So what's that all about?
- 20:30You know, when you start pushing it right back in their face, they have no answers.
- 20:35The reason why the ships were sent there was that Iran was ready, willing, and able to fire missiles directly into Israel.
- 20:44And now that we know, they were ready to fire missiles all over the region, destabilizing the region, and really possibly dragging us into a world war.
- 20:54But we had to do something because there are reports that they are rebuilding their nuclear weapons arsenal.
- 21:03And I believe the president is right that given the chance, they will not hesitate on firing a nuclear weapon at the United States of America, let alone Israel and now maybe some of those uh Arab states.
- 21:19Horrible.
- 21:19These people are lunatics.
- 21:21So who started the war?
- 21:24They did.
- 21:2547 years ago.
- 21:27Who did nothing for 47 years?
- 21:30We did nothing.
- 21:32Israel did everything they could with the little help they got over the years, but now that there's a new administration office, and our military is back very, very strong.
- 21:43I mean, you could see what's going on in that country, Iran.
- 21:46I just find it amazing that the Iranian government has lasted this long.
- 21:51Don't you think that's incredible, folks?
- 21:53I'll tell you what, it's incredible.
- 21:55But I learned that the type of government they have is you could cut off the head of the snake.
- 22:00But there are a lot of snakes now.
- 22:02They got a system where if the head of the stake, in this case the Ayatollah, the guy in charge of the country gets killed.
- 22:08Well, all of the authority does not go down to one person yet.
- 22:12It goes down to several people.
- 22:14As if each governor in each province in each state.
- 22:17I don't know what they call them.
- 22:18All right.
- 22:18I don't know what they call their leaders.
- 22:20Well, that's just for the sake of uh explanation.
- 22:22You got a governor in each state.
- 22:24In each province, in each region that makes up Iran.
- 22:28And they conduct their own affairs now.
- 22:31They call the shots.
- 22:32So on the east side of Iran, if that governor wants to fire a missile at the United Arab Emirates, he could do it.
- 22:39You don't need anybody at the head of government because there's nobody there.
- 22:43And the guy, the governor on the west side of Iran, he wants to fire a missile, let's say at Egypt or something.
- 22:50Well, he could do it.
- 22:51Doesn't need permission.
- 22:52Nothing's coordinated there right now.
- 22:54They're just firing missiles all over the place.
- 22:57Now, one of the reasons why they're hitting some of the other Arab states is because you talk about a miscalculation.
- 23:04This is how dumb they are.
- 23:05They start hitting people who were friendly to them.
- 23:09At the at at the at the most, uh, you know, absolutely at the most an ally of theirs, at the worst, neutral.
- 23:17They were not on anybody's side for the most part.
- 23:19They don't want to get involved in this.
- 23:21And they didn't.
- 23:22But all of a sudden, they get targeted by the Iranian government.
- 23:28Isn't that crazy?
- 23:29Well, it backfired.
- 23:31Because now all those Arab states are looking towards the United States of America to help them, to help them address this problem.
- 23:38And soon, I believe soon, you're going to see missiles flying out of Saudi Arabia and some of those other Arab countries, right smack into Iran.
- 23:47It's got to be done.
- 23:49It's got to be done.
- 23:50So now the uh guy that uh got elected after the Ayatollah was killed, believe it or not, is the attire Ayatollah's son.
- 23:59Politics, folks, all politics.
- 24:02So perhaps he's the next person on the Israelis target list.
- 24:07They're not going to go away.
- 24:09They are not going to go away.
- 24:10And until the people of Iran rise up the way they did a few weeks ago.
- 24:16And I listen, I know their concern and they're worried that if they do that, another 30,000 will be killed by their own government.
- 24:24So we've got some issues there we got to help them with.
- 24:27Don't expect the United Nations, what a waste.
- 24:30NATO, they may want to get involved.
- 24:32Don't you think they should?
- 24:33A missile was shot from Iran into Turkey, a NATO country.
- 24:37Isn't uh Article 5 say if one NATO country is hit, we're all hit.
- 24:41We all got to come in and protect each other.
- 24:43Where are the European nations, right?
- 24:45Where are they?
- 24:47You know what?
- 24:47It is laughable, isn't it?
- 24:49Where the heck are they?
- 24:50If this wasn't so serious, it would be laughable.
- 24:55NATO ceases to exist as far as I'm concerned.
- 24:58It's only when their backyard is invaded that they want us.
- 25:02Unbelievable.
- 25:04Again, another story at another time.
- 25:06So anyway, folks.
- 25:0847-year war to answer the question.
- 25:13Who really started the war with Iran?
- 25:16Iran.
- 25:1747 years ago.
- 25:19And now the president of the United States is going to end it so that the next generation of Americans don't have to deal with these lunatics.
- 25:28And lunatics, they are.
- 25:30Matthew 24-6.
- 25:32You will hear of wars and rumors of wars.
- 25:35But see to it that you are not alarmed.
- 25:38Such things must happen.
- 25:40But the end is still to come.
- 25:43Yep.
- 25:44This is just the beginning.
- 25:46God bless you all, and God bless America.

- 30:57Liberty and justice for all.
- 31:23People fall into a lot of despair, a lot of problems, a lot of difficulties.
- 31:27And there are unlimited, unlimited numbers of people we could go to for help.
- 31:32Therapists and sociologists and psychologists and psychiatrists, the people in the medical profession, mental health people.
- 31:40I mean, uh, thank God we have a country with a wide, I mean, uh a tremendous amount of resources that we can go to in the event that we need professional help.
- 31:49Look at the diseases that we've been able to cure.
- 31:51Look at the medications that we have today, perhaps far too many, some will argue.
- 31:56But my point is there's always a place to go for a lot of the problems that we are facing.
- 32:02But I've got to tell you, there is absolutely no denying that we are living today.
- 32:09We are living and we are experiencing challenging times on a global scale.
- 32:15Widespread unrest exists across many regions of the world.
- 32:19We've got conflicts emerging on nearly every continent.
- 32:23In fact, I got to tell you, sadly to say, it seems like we have conflicts emerging on every corner in every neighborhood in every city and every state across America.
- 32:34The economies are facing significant downturns.
- 32:37There are deep divisions within many nations that have brought some to the verge of a civil war.
- 32:43Now, these circumstances, I gotta tell you, they're causing considerable physical, emotional, and mental distress from millions of individuals worldwide, many of whom are seeking ways to cope with the resulting worry, anxiety, depression, and stress brought on by these unbelievable, unprecedented challenges.
- 33:06Yeah, unprecedented, especially affecting our young people who have access to news media outlets, TV outlets, radio outlets, and more let's say demonstratively, the internet streaming right into their brains, violence, division, hatred.
- 33:30I mean, on and on and on.
- 33:33Make no mistake about it.
- 33:34Our children are being affected adversely by what they see and what they hear via the transmissions that are now being broadcasted through a lot of the networks around the country and around the world.
- 33:50Now, there are several individuals who've indicated that they have pursued medications, therapy, counseling, and all kinds of approaches to alleviate the discomfort they are facing.
- 34:02That is a good thing.
- 34:04Go for help.
- 34:05Don't be ashamed to pick up the phone.
- 34:08Say, look, I got some problems.
- 34:10I need some help.
- 34:10Can you help me?
- 34:12You know, God has gifted a lot of people on this earth with a lot of talents and skills that could help you.
- 34:19And believe me, I've heard people on some radio talk shows, and I've talked to some people that would lead me to believe that man, they're going to go off the edge.
- 34:28They need help.
- 34:29They really do.
- 34:31I worry about people that get that close to the edge.
- 34:33And I do take action.
- 34:35I do make a phone call.
- 34:37I urge them first to make a phone call.
- 34:39And if they don't, well, I make a phone call and I make it anonymously.
- 34:44Yep.
- 34:45And eventually you find out, thank God I made the call.
- 34:48I mean, there's not dozens of people.
- 34:49I think one or two in my lifetime.
- 34:51But the fact is, the way they were talking to me concerned me enough that they were going to go off the edge.
- 34:59You don't want to see that happen.
- 35:01So it's very, very important, especially those of you who are on the internet a lot, in the chat rooms a lot.
- 35:06You get somebody in there who starts talking about taking their own life.
- 35:10Somebody in that chat room that is alarming you as to what they may do to themselves or even worse, somebody else.
- 35:18You might want to do everything you could to try to get them into a conversation and find out where they are.
- 35:23And if not, well, get in touch with the, you know, write down the time to date the chat room and uh find out the uh provider that's uh your internet provider.
- 35:33I know it's going to take a little work.
- 35:34You report it to the police first, all right?
- 35:37And I'm sure we got enough technology today where they may be able to track that person down.
- 35:42At least try.
- 35:43At least try.
- 35:44But my point is there are resources out there to get help.
- 35:48But most individuals, most individuals, not everyone, who've conveyed the challenges they are experiencing to me at least, have not discussed one area that they can go into in order to help them meet the challenges that they're facing.
- 36:06And that is the spiritual dimensions of everything that we are facing around the world today.
- 36:14I've said over and over again, I'm convinced we're involved in a spiritual warfare, pretty big one, something a lot of people don't accept.
- 36:20They don't accept it because maybe they don't understand it, and maybe they just don't want to believe it.
- 36:26But believe me, believe me, based on what I've read, based on what I've researched, I have no question in my mind that we're engaged in a spiritual warfare.
- 36:36Good against evil.
- 36:37There it is, the battle lines.
- 36:39Now, as I said earlier, we often seek out every available solution, every available problem solver to treat physical, mental, and emotional pain.
- 36:49And it's good.
- 36:50I'm glad that those resources are there.
- 36:53But what about our spiritual condition?
- 36:55Does anybody really talk about that?
- 36:57Does anybody really want to sit down and say, you know, I got a problem?
- 37:01And uh how do I address it?
- 37:03And then when you say, well, have you gone help?
- 37:06Well, I've seen this doctor, that doctor, I've taken this pill, that pill.
- 37:09Well, have you ever prayed?
- 37:13Have you ever had a conversation with God?
- 37:15Now, I've actually asked that question to people who have come to me for help over the years.
- 37:21And to my surprise, every single person but one, and there were dozens.
- 37:28And I honestly mean this, folks.
- 37:30Every single person but one.
- 37:33Listen carefully.
- 37:35And they thank me for sharing with them what I believe to be part of a solution to the dark days that they were walking in.
- 37:44And that solution happened to be Jesus Christ.
- 37:46Had to be God Almighty.
- 37:48Except one.
- 37:50And I believe that particular one actually went on the internet at some point in time and criticized me as an elected official who came to me with a problem.
- 38:02And all Mr.
- 38:04Rogers left me with is that he would put me on his prayer list, and his door was open any time if he ever needed anybody to help.
- 38:13Criticize me for praying, for telling him I would pray for him.
- 38:17Could you believe that?
- 38:19Not about corruption, not about being a thief, a crook or anything like that.
- 38:23I mean, you know, I mean, I was never ever part of that gang.
- 38:27And I got criticized for not being part of that gang, all right?
- 38:30Because I offered something that I believe would address the spiritual condition, the spiritual health of this individual.
- 38:38And I tell people, I'm not a priest, I'm not an evangelist, a minister, nothing like that.
- 38:42I'm just a regular person who's journeyed this life, who's been successful, a lot of pain.
- 38:49Oh, a lot of pain, folks.
- 38:52You know, there was uh I know I've read a few books, and in one of the books I I remember putting on the, I believe the first page, a quote, I believe it was by Queen Elizabeth.
- 39:01All right, some queen of England, if I remember, said that it is easier, or it is more relaxing for the person looking at the crown on the head of the person who wears the crown.
- 39:14Life is better for the person looking at the crown on the head of the person than wearing the crown.
- 39:21And boy, when I got involved in politics, boy, I knew a real truth to that.
- 39:26It may look great, it may look glorious, it may look fun, it may look powerful, it may look really good, being an individual in a position of power and influence.
- 39:36But as time goes on, if you're wearing walking those shoes, if you've got that crown on your head, really, folks.
- 39:44There's a time when you say, can't wait to take it off.
- 39:48Can't wait.
- 39:49And that's happening today with a lot of our political people.
- 39:52They're being mentally tortured.
- 39:54The good guys I'm talking about.
- 39:55The bad guys, they don't care.
- 39:59They're corrupt.
- 40:00They're liars, they're cheats, they look out for themselves.
- 40:05Not all of them.
- 40:06Let me get that straight, not all of them.
- 40:09Most of them, I want to believe most of them are good guys, but I'm beginning to believe that most of them are not.
- 40:16But that's a problem that they have to overcome, not me.
- 40:19I'll get off on a tangent.
- 40:20So let's talk about get back to the spiritual conditions of people after they've tried everything.
- 40:26They've tried the therapists, they've tried the sociologists, the doctors, etc.
- 40:31It's a good thing.
- 40:32Go to these people.
- 40:33They're good people, they're dedicated and committed to the well-being of fellow human beings.
- 40:39So please go to them.
- 40:40But add to your list of individuals that you may seek out, add to your pastor, add your priest, add to a friend who you know is uh someone who has talked to you about a strong belief in God and the and faith and trust in the Lord.
- 40:56Ain't gonna hurt you.
- 40:57I've recommended that individuals consider incorporating a true, honest for goodness spiritual approach as an additional avenue for addressing the problems and pains they're experiencing.
- 41:10Another words, get this.
- 41:12I'll put it in two words.
- 41:14Sure, some of you have heard this.
- 41:16Try God.
- 41:19Try God.
- 41:20We used to have buttons, little lapel buttons that had the words try God on them.
- 41:26We had these uh these wristbands.
- 41:28You've seen wrist bands, right?
- 41:30Classic wristbands.
- 41:31All kinds of message on them.
- 41:33Try God.
- 41:35And I've got to tell you, folks, I remember years ago, I was driving from one place to another.
- 41:41And many times in those days, we'd see all kinds of bumper stickers, especially around election day.
- 41:47Vote for this person, vote for that person, and then there would be some corporation bumper stickers, support this support that nonprofit corporations give here, give there.
- 41:58But the one bumper sticker that stuck in my mind, even until today, had two words on it.
- 42:06Try God.
- 42:08A simple message with profound impact.
- 42:11Think about it.
- 42:13I'm praying for something, I'm asking for something, I'm looking for something.
- 42:18I'm running around like a chicken without a head to this person, to that person, I need help with this, I need help with that.
- 42:23How do I solve this?
- 42:24How do I solve that?
- 42:25In the meantime, getting distressed, getting depressed, taking aspirins.
- 42:30I can't sleep, on and on and on.
- 42:32Yeah, nobody to help me.
- 42:33I remember saying that to myself years ago.
- 42:36I gotta, I got nobody to guide me through the storm.
- 42:40I go to people, friends, they're good people, they put their hands on my back, the old pat in the back.
- 42:44Hey, look, anything you need, let me know.
- 42:48But I came to you.
- 42:49I need this, I need that, but you can't give it to me.
- 42:53Because basically, what I needed was peace of mind.
- 42:57And that's what you need right now.
- 42:59Peace of mind.
- 43:01But you're not going to get that until you go to the Prince of Peace.
- 43:07He has a name.
- 43:08His name is Jesus, Jesus Christ, right?
- 43:12He's God.
- 43:14So my question to you is have you tried God?
- 43:18You've tried everything else.
- 43:20Why won't you try him?
- 43:21Now, what some of you might say, well, I tried him, but hasn't worked out very well.
- 43:26I have learned in life that when you try God with all your heart, soul, and spirit, you go down that road.
- 43:32Listen, things aren't going to happen overnight.
- 43:35You know, a bed full of roses isn't going to blossom in the morning.
- 43:38The morning sun isn't going to come up and give you a beautiful day.
- 43:43But you will be putting God's plan into action for your good.
- 43:49So when I looked at that bumper sticker that said, try God, it made me think, why not?
- 43:55So many people make every effort to maintain their physical, mental, and emotional health.
- 44:00Yet oftentimes, the spiritual effort, trying God is overlooked.
- 44:07Now, here's something else I'd like you to think about.
- 44:10When you're hungry, like when I get hungry, where do we go?
- 44:14We run to a place where we can fill our stomachs.
- 44:18A restaurant, a diner at home, the refrigerator, the food pantry, run right to that place.
- 44:25Let's get something to eat.
- 44:27And boy, it's there.
- 44:28Popping popcorn in our mouth, hamburgers, hot dogs, whatever it is.
- 44:32We just start stuffing our mouth because our stomach's empty.
- 44:36Nothing wrong with that.
- 44:37That's what we do.
- 44:38We're hungry.
- 44:39Now, when you're thirsty, what do you do?
- 44:42You ever have one of them hot days?
- 44:44You're dying of thirst, you run right to a water fountain.
- 44:48You run in a store and get a bottle of water.
- 44:50You're at home, you run to the kitchen sink, water, soda, whatever you like to drink, you go and you get it.
- 44:56Why?
- 44:57Because you want to quench your thirst.
- 44:59Logical, right?
- 45:01You solve that problem.
- 45:02Now, when you have a headache and you have some illness that you've got to deal with, where do you go?
- 45:09You'll go to the medicine cabinet, you'll get an aspirin, you'll get a pill that a doctor prescribed to you.
- 45:14You'll go to the pharmacy.
- 45:16You'll go here, you'll go there to get rid of the headache, or to help ease the pain that you are suffering as a result of an illness.
- 45:26So once we notice symptoms that prompt us to seek help, we go out and we get those things that could help us relieve those symptoms and get rid of that pain.
- 45:37But sometimes, maybe most of the time, some of the pains we suffer appear without any warning.
- 45:44And it's only when the problem has progressed to a point that we are depressed and distressed, and that we feel hopeless and helpless, and there's no place else to go.
- 45:54It's only at that time that we realize that something is seriously, seriously wrong, and that we've got to find a very, very different way of dealing with it.
- 46:07So go to the professionals.
- 46:10I'll repeat that a million times.
- 46:12Go, they will help you guide uh along the way that you are now facing if you're in the situation right now.
- 46:20Go do it.
- 46:21Nothing wrong with that.
- 46:23But add, add to what you're doing, whether it be with a doctor, psychologist, therapist, whatever way you're doing it.
- 46:30And you still don't seem to be getting there.
- 46:33Remember these two words.
- 46:35Try God.
- 46:37Look at consider.
- 46:42Where do you turn your heart when it is broken?
- 46:46Where do you turn your heart when you are overwhelmed by life's changes and life's challenges?
- 46:54Where do you go?
- 46:55Where do you go when there's no peace?
- 46:57As I said earlier, you got to go through the Prince of Peace as one avenue, as one person.
- 47:03Yeah, person.
- 47:04Jesus Christ is a person.
- 47:05The guy ain't dead.
- 47:06He's alive and well.
- 47:08Read the story.
- 47:09Read the story.
- 47:10He's alive and well.
- 47:11And he said when he left this earth, I am leaving, but I'm sending you another comforter.
- 47:16And he did.
- 47:18The Holy Spirit of God.
- 47:20And whether you believe it or not, whether you understand it or not, because frankly, I don't understand it, but I believe it.
- 47:25That the Holy Spirit of God indwells within all of us.
- 47:29And I use the illustration, all he's waiting for us to do is to activate him, is to activate them.
- 47:36And we activate them by trying God, by accepting Christ as our Savior, by giving our life over to him.
- 47:44All it is, it's so simple.
- 47:46It is so simple, but people don't do it, they don't believe it, they don't want to do it, they don't understand it, so they don't understand it, they don't do it.
- 47:54A lot of things I don't understand about God in the Bible, but I do believe in the stories written in the Bible because they're not novels, they're not fiction, they're real life stories.
- 48:16He said, I have come to prosper you, not to harm you.
- 48:19And he's not just talking about prosperity and a sense of material things.
- 48:24He's talking about prospering you by giving you peace through the storms, giving you answers to your prayers, the desires of your hearts.
- 48:33As long as those things don't hurt you, they're yours, yours to take.
- 48:38But the way to get there is like the way to get to a solution to a mental health issue, the way to get to a solution to solve a problem that you have, the way to get to a solution for a headache is to go to the right place.
- 48:52The way to go and get a solution for peace of mind through the challenges and storms that you have, and to get the help you need to get through those challenges, you got to go to the solution.
- 49:03And one man once said to me, Look, the longer you look at the problem, the bigger it gets.
- 49:08But the longer you look at Jesus Christ, the bigger he gets.
- 49:12Woody think of that.
- 49:14Try God.
- 49:15What's wrong with that?
- 49:17What's wrong with trying God?
- 49:19I've asked that question to a lot of people.
- 49:21And they said to me over and over again, well, you know, I don't know if it'll really work.
- 49:26It works, but you won't know until you try God, correct?
- 49:30So I believe that the people you go to, all the professionals that I mentioned, they're gifted, and they are gifts from God Almighty to those of us who need their help.
- 49:43I really believe that.
- 49:44And I I pray for them and God, I say bless them every single day.
- 49:50Because whether they believe in God or not, they have been given that gift to help you, to help anyone who is in a certain kind of need.
- 50:00Now, it's believed that everyone who has those gifts, it is believed that truly they are very talented and skillful people who truly got their skills and gifts from God.
- 50:12But how about this?
- 50:14How about this?
- 50:15How about you got a gift from God?
- 50:18I got a gift from God.
- 50:20I'm not talking about the skills and talents that he's given all of us.
- 50:25Some may believe, well, you don't have a skill or talent.
- 50:27You do.
- 50:28Maybe you haven't discovered it yet, but you have it.
- 50:31But you know what the gift that God gave you and gave me.
- 50:34You ready?
- 50:35The gift that he gave you and me was his word, the word of God.
- 50:39That's written in the Bible.
- 50:41What a gift.
- 50:42That is a gift.
- 50:43That is the history of man.
- 50:44You want to know the beginning of creation?
- 50:47Start with the book of Genesis.
- 50:49You want to know how it ends?
- 50:50Well, you're going to go through one heck of a journey through the 66 books of the Bible.
- 50:57Every paragraph, every page is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
- 51:01And there are some difficult days, dark days, stormy days.
- 51:05There is a lot of action in the Bible.
- 51:07Yeah, wars, bloodshed, destruction, judgment, a lot.
- 51:14But the key to all of that is salvation.
- 51:18Because the Bible talks about the creation of man, and then man bringing into the world sin.
- 51:25And therein lies the beginning of it all, the beginning of all our problems, sin.
- 51:31And so doesn't mean your sin.
- 51:33You know, you're a person being punished or you have your problems because of sin.
- 51:37Nah.
- 51:38We're all sinners.
- 51:39I'm a sinner.
- 51:40Bible says we're all sinners.
- 51:42We all sure fought the glory of God.
- 51:44But the other part of the story is Jesus Christ has offered us a gift.
- 51:50God has offered us a gift of his son Jesus, who is crucified on that cross, shed his blood, so that all of our sins may be forgiven.
- 52:01And that's it.
- 52:02You want to try God?
- 52:04Try that.
- 52:05Try going to him.
- 52:06You don't have to be on your knees, be nice if you were, but go to him.
- 52:10Talk to him.
- 52:11Say, Lord, I got to tell you something.
- 52:12I don't understand how this works, but I'm going to try God.
- 52:15And here's how I'm going to do it.
- 52:17The Bible says that no man cometh to the Father but by me.
- 52:22I am the way, the truth, and the life.
- 52:24No man cometh to the Father but by me.
- 52:27So go the way, go to the truth and bring into your life his life and bring your life into his life.
- 52:37Okay.
- 52:37And here's how you do.
- 52:39All you got to do is say something like this.
- 52:42It's simple.
- 52:43Just say something like this.
- 52:44Lord, I may not understand all of what's going on with this Bible and what I'm reading in the Word of God, but I'm I'm going to take a step in faith and do the best I could to understand it.
- 52:55But in the meantime, I would like very much for you to help me understand you.
- 53:01And I accept you as my Savior.
- 53:04I accept the fact that you came to this earth and shed your blood so that my sins shall be forgiven.
- 53:11And here's some of the sins that I've committed that I'm sorry for.
- 53:15Don't remember all of them.
- 53:17I know you do.
- 53:19But I pray that you forgive me for my sins.
- 53:22And now I ask you to take control of my life.
- 53:26I accept you as my Father in heaven and my Savior and my friend.
- 53:33In Jesus' name I pray.
- 53:35Amen.
- 53:36That's it.
- 53:37Yeah, that's it.
- 53:38Did the earth shake?
- 53:40No.
- 53:40Bolt the lightning strike?
- 53:42No.
- 53:42But something is transforming in your life right now.
- 53:45I believe that.
- 53:47Now, after you do that, you know what?
- 53:50Sit back, relax a little, and go about your business, but don't forget him now.
- 53:55I recommend you go and you get a Bible.
- 53:58If you don't have one, go to a store, right?
- 54:02Go to a store, go to a bookstore, find the Bible.
- 54:05I recommend you get what's called the New King James Version of the Bible, because it's it's really simple to understand.
- 54:12I've had problems in the past with the those and vows of the King James Version.
- 54:17But there's several versions of the Bible.
- 54:19I recommend the New King James Version.
- 54:21And there are different pastors and evangelists and great men and women of God who actually published Bibles, uh, helped us understand it.
- 54:30Uh, the pastor David Jeremiah, you remember that name?
- 54:34He has a great Bible out with commentary.
- 54:37Make sure you get a Bible with commentary.
- 54:39These are pastors and and great men and women of God explaining what a lot of these scriptures really mean.
- 54:45So you got David Jeremiah, Charles Spurgeon, one of the greatest, greatest evangelists uh known to mankind, Charles Stanley.
- 54:53I mean, there's a limitless number of them, but those are the three that I trust the most.
- 54:58So if you want to follow my lead on that, by all means, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
- 55:03So, where do you start?
- 55:05You get yourself a Bible and uh make some time.
- 55:10How's five minutes a day?
- 55:12Five minutes a day.
- 55:13How's that?
- 55:14All right, you take five minutes a day, and what do you do?
- 55:17Well, how about starting?
- 55:19People ask me, well, where do I start in the Bible?
- 55:21Uh, by the time I get to the end of it, I'll be a hundred years old.
- 55:24I say this start in the book of Psalms.
- 55:27The book of Psalms, those are written by King David when he was uh going through the most difficult times of his life.
- 55:34And in that book, the book of Psalms, you'll find food for your soul.
- 55:39You'll find some mending for your broken heart, you'll find hope.
- 55:44You'll find love, you'll find acceptance, and you will find peace of mind, at least in my view, in the book of Psalms.
- 55:51The book of Proverbs is wonderful also.
- 55:54There is a lot of wisdom in the book of Proverbs.
- 55:57You want some guidance on how to conduct yourself at home on the job, at school, or whatever, the book of Proverbs.
- 56:03So you go to Psalms and you go to Proverbs, and I've got news for you.
- 56:08He will not let you down.
- 56:10No, he will not.
- 56:12Jesus Christ will not let you down, and he will make it very clear to you that once you accept him, you can be sure he will keep his word that I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.
- 56:24John 635, I am the bread of life.
- 56:27Remember, Jesus said man cannot live on bread alone.
- 56:31That's right.
- 56:32You can't live on the bread of man, the food of man.
- 56:35Man cannot live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.
- 56:41Now, John 6 35, I am the bread of life.
- 56:44Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.
- 56:46And whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
- 56:50Remember, try God.
- 56:53God bless you all.
