- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: I really just want to get in here and give you guys a quick recap of a couple of things that has been going on earlier this week and then obviously the joint practice session today in Philly with the Eagles, myself, man, me, Justin and Kenny Mac are going to be doing our Eagles game preview tomorrow.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Evening, it'll be out on all this all the platforms tomorrow tomorrow night sometime and
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll break all the stuff down from really today and then of course tomorrow in the joint practice session.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: We shouldn't know by then who the starting quarterback's going to be.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's probably going to be Dylan Gabriel unless his hamstring holds him up even more.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, we'll go from there.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see you guys tomorrow night on that episode, but for today, we might as well just kick it off with the big thing.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you were on social media today, especially ex.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Who?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Boy, the toxicity of ex.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: It is crazy.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever you guys do, don't read the comments if you're posting.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of my rule of thumb.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's what gets me through the days.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't read the comments.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't read any of the BS that comes in.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: I just say what I want to say and move on to the next thing and say that too.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: But coming out of Philly from both browns and Philly, the Eagles beat reporters.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: So from both sides.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're going through seven on sevens and I think it was like the first seven on seven set.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, okay, so Joe Flacco came out and took the first series or the first set of reps or whatever.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then it was, can you pick it?
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then it was Dylan Gabriel or however it went, never Tyler Huntley was like Tyler Huntley.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, even like guys like Zach Jackson from the athletic are on their going.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, Tyler Huntley's taking seven on seven reps now.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Can't make this stuff up.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just a crap storm across X. What is going on with Shidorah Sanders?
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: He took the most reps of any quarterback in camp on Monday in Buria.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then they travel yesterday to Philly.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're out there today for the joint practice.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, the videos came out early.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Stores Sanders obviously out on the field early.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like he always is getting warmed up, getting loosened up.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then taking no team reps and it just goes and goes and goes the entire session.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's like, still no reps or should or still no team reps.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Still haven't seen should or Sanders.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Internet freaked out.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: We freaked out.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody freaked out.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't blame anybody for freaking out.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll kind of dive into that a little bit.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's just fast forward.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, we know now.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Shoulder Sanders reported discomfort in his side during throwing warm-ups or something earlier in the practice.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was very similar to the whole arm-sorness thing that, you know, that one day a week or so ago, whenever it was that he got held out of,
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: all the team drills and it didn't come out to after practice that he had reported arm soreness and they held him out of practice as a precaution kind of the same thing today he reported some soreness or whatever some discomfort in his side and they they wrote it in oblique injury we don't really have any details other than that and he didn't practice today he uh... he was held out of all the team drills and everything
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then Mary K. Cavitt came out and said after practice, you know, yep, it's confirmed.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was a no bleak injury and probably means he's not playing on Saturday.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that escalated quickly.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: So we went from shit or Sanders on Friday, starting the preseason game in Carolina, looking fantastic.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really care what, you know, the naysayers want to say he looked great for his first time ever facing a full NFL defense in NFL game match.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: And especially the fact that he's been given limited reps to prepare.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway,
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: So we're coming off that high and we're getting excited.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's see him again here on Saturday.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see if he goes out there again and does it now.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I might not play.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's kind of where we are with our quarterback situation.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's wild.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: It is wild that we have this four way quarterback competition.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a forty year old like nineteen year veteran.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a twenty six twenty seven year old, you know, fourth year guy and two rookies.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: So three relatively young players and a very old player.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: and the very old player is the only one who hasn't been injured yet in training camp.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody else's hurt.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Can you pick it?
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I heard his hamstring.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you, I don't think.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Can you pick it?
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't sound like he's anywhere close to being able to participate or really compete.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: He, I mean, like today took seven on seven drills, just like he did on Monday, seven on sevens, but he cannot participate in the eleven on elevens.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: They're holding him out of those.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's not healthy enough to do that, to face a past Russian, have linemen in front of him and all that stuff.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to play on Saturday.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's two preseason.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Can he pick it?
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Is not some, you know, widely veteran that, you know, his, his roster position is locked in.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't really need to prove anything in the preseason.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: He just kind of needs to get, you know, the flow of things.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: He needs the reps.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: He needs the practice.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to go out there and show that he,
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: can be a potential option for this team.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that they went out and traded a fifth room pick for him.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, first thing this offseason, and we still have not seen him do anything in any sort of meaningful football scenario for the Cleveland Browns.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: The last time we've ever seen him really participate in a game, he was throwing the ball into the turf and falling on top of it for the Eagles.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: And before that, it was sucking with the Steelers.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: So there's really, I don't see any way, can he pick it across his way out of the hole that he is in now in the scoreback competition, Dylan Gabriel missed the last, what week and a half with his hamstring tightness or whatever, he didn't participate in some of the elevenths last week, I think in Carolina, and then obviously didn't plan the game on Friday.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: And yet he's still ahead of this will drives me nuts.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's still ahead of Shador on the whatever unofficial proposed depth chart that that the Browns keep putting out each week.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously he's still in the running for for a starting spot.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: It seems because again today.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: Took reps with the first team.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't a ton based on everything I was reading from the reporters that can't but Dylan Gabriel still took first team reps.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: today in the joint practice.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: So Joe Flacco took the majority of the first team reps.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Kenny Pickett took first team reps whenever it was seven on seven.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: But Dylan Gabriel took some first team reps in the elevens because Kenny Pickett wasn't there.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, it is wild.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, Shador missing this joint practice today.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: And potentially, if he misses tomorrow and he misses the game on Saturday, that's, that's going to be kind of a big deal because
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you all been following what this team has been doing since rookie mini camp, it has been Dylan Gabriel significantly farther ahead than should or standards in the Brown's eyes.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, the injury did not, you know, deter or hurt, can he pick or I'm sorry, hurt Dylan Gabriel standing in any way, but it sure as hell will hurt, should doors.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: So this sucks, this sucks because if you
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: If you're like me, if you're like us, I mean, blah, I was texting Blake this morning.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, what the hell are we doing?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what is going on with this team?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: That was a lot of hope that got injected into the veins of browns fans on Friday night.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Watches should or go out there.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, for everybody, oh, it was just a preseason.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're not saying he went out there and bald out and lit it up and diced them apart and all that kind of stuff.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's a rookie quarterback who was touted as a first round talent, but then all of a sudden got all these narratives that he can't play in the NFL.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: The game won't translate this that and the other.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then you went out in his first NFL game action and looked not just competent, but productive.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: could move the ball down the field as watching the game again the other day just going back through the offensive plays and and seeing how he handled certain scenarios and you know they were plays that we just missed by a finger tip or you know early in the game he overshoots.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: Deonté Johnson I think on a slant route just because I think he was a little amped up he had Dylan Samson wide open on a broken scramble play where he came out of the pocket and tried to float the ball up over a linebacker and just put a little
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: little bit or too much air on it and also floated over uh... stamps and head but if he hits him that's a that's a good fifteen yard or more gain on that play alone and then the the touchdown plays were vintage shidorah Sanders from the college film that i watched you know a ton of this preseason and it was just it was very hopeful so we'll see we'll see what ends up happening we'll talk about tomorrow night because of shidorah sit out tomorrow in the joint practice then uh... he's
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, ninety-nine percent not going to play Saturday, and if Dylan Gabriel practices tomorrow, there's no more hold-ups with his hamstring injury.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't aggravate anything.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Gabriel's going to get to start.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to get the two and a half quarters against the Eagles, life should door God against the Panthers, which I don't hate.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, I want Gabriel to be healthy for this game.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see him.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: We need to know.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: We need to see it on the field.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns clearly have this guy prioritized over should door.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we've seen should door.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: We liked what we saw a Shador.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now we need to see Dylan Gabriel on the field to justify what the Browns are doing and practice this entire time.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Show it to us.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't take anything at face fire.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: I said this on a short real TikTok video I put out earlier.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't take anything at face value from from this regime or from any regime for that matter.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Coaches have no obligation whatsoever to be honest with the media and Kevin's defense key is never direct with the media ever it is you ask him a question and he will point you that way this way this way this way and do a complete roundabout and then next question
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's no directness.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're not gonna obligate to tell you anything.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Really.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: And like to be so straightforward.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't take anything at face value.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: I just like, if you guys are telling me, and it's not even necessarily the words, it's the actions of the team.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: If you're telling me with your actions that Dylan Gabriel is better than shit or Sanders, and that you think he's better, you like him better, he's more impressive to you, he's done more, whatever you're telling me with your actions.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: now you gotta show it to me on the field and Saturday will be that day hopefully as long as there's no hamstring injury for him to see that play out but you know all this could be for nothing really if you know it comes out tomorrow that the bleak thing wasn't a big deal and she doors back on the field
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: and he participates tomorrow and he'll still be the fourth quarterback to take reps and all that kind of stuff.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, at this rate, it's kind of wild, but at this rate, frickin' Tyler Huntley might actually be on the active roster.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_00]: Come September.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, of Joe Flacco's the only healthy guy and you've got hamstring injuries.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Kenny, I don't mean the hell we're gonna do with Kenny Pickett.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I just don't want him on the team.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's a Cleveland Brown right now, but he's doing nothing for me.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing nothing.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, obviously Gabriel should order your rookies.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're the guys that you invested draft capital in that you need to see if they can develop in anything.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: But if they're on the shelf for any amount of time, like who's the next quarterback?
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Tyler Huntley actually is going to be on this roster.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, for whatever the big takeaway here is, I don't know the hell's going on in Korea, but we can't keep people healthy.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been a problem for years.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like just a, wow, these last couple seasons have been real rough with the injuries.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's every single year.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: We deal with this type of stuff.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I look around the league and I don't see all these other NFL teams dealing with the cycle, the crazy rotating door of injuries that we are all the time, but man, alive is it ever frustrating?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: So we will see how this shakes out tomorrow, but again, we'll talk about that tomorrow night on our, on our Eagles preview show.

- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so just looking over the rest of the notes here, the rest of the posts and stuff from the river porters at, sorry, I'm like, little over my words here.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: At this joint session here today, you know, ESPN Cleveland puts out their QB tracker after every practice now.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I hit love it or hate it.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: The stats are the stats.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: And at the end of the day, you know, it's just, I've said this before about these QB stat trackers.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's about what you take away from it.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's important because they're just putting out numbers.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't fault them.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, everyone wants to say, oh, there needs to be more context and stuff.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I was saying that to in the beginning, but as time has gone on, it's been like, OK, well, if you understand that there's more context to be hatched from these trackers.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: then you're fine.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: If you're taking it as, you know, the Holy Word, well, then you're missing the point.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: But since I'm not doing that, I don't mind these trackers anymore.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: What the tracker told me today, you know, you kind of look through it.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just Joe Flacco six of thirteen.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Can you pick it five of six?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Dylan Gabriel six of nineteen.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Huntley three for four.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: The important thing here, though,
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: is because I understand the context just from following along during practice.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Can he pick it the five for six?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: That was during seven on seven.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: There's no offensive defensive line.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Those drills are really set up for the quarterbacks and receivers to have success.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: And we've seen can he pick it be a preseason hero before?
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he definitely has done this in the past and then regular season rolls around and he's just can he pick it?
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Huntley, again, three or four.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think those were all in seven on sevens.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: He might have taken, and I'm serious about this.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: He might have taken one, eleven on eleven rep if I'm not mistaken, but I think at least three of not all four of those reps were seven on sevens.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Flacco's the starting quarterback until I hear otherwise.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Till Kevin actually comes out names one.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just assuming Joe Flacco is the weak one starter because
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: You're not starting Dylan Gabriel week one.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I like take that back.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: I can't put anything past them.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: They might.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: They might.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what this team is trying to do.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: I know what it feels like they're trying to do.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're like they're trying to shove Dylan Gabriel down our throats, trying to force him into the starter spot, trying to make him into a thing.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen them do this before.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: We have seen it.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: We've, you know, we've heard in from camp.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of really all going all the way back to rookie mini camp, Zach Jackson being the main guy like kind of leading the drum beat that, hey, Dylan Gabriel does not look like an NFL quarterback, should or Sanders looks way better than him, like from the beginning.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it just reminds me and Blake talked about this how last year all the reports out of camp were, hey, this offense looks kind of bad to Sean Watson doesn't really look all that good, but then the team would come out
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: and through their propaganda avenues, tell you, oh, we look good to Sean Watson's doing great.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: They're the Brown Social Media Show and Highlight Clips at him throwing deep passes and making great plays and throws on the run and all that kind of stuff.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then as the season actually happened in front of our eyes on the field, okay, the reports that the Sean Watson sucks and this offense is a bismal, those were all correct.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's see how it plays out this year.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: But right now that's the reports that we have, Dylan gave you all today six of nineteen.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Not great.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Flack was six or thirteen.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's going against the Eagles first string and by all accounts, Tony Grossy and everybody who is at camp, the offense struggled.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: Big time to date.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: The offense was in a lot of trouble against the Eagles defense, which Eagles defense was like the best.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: You saw what they did to the homes and the chiefs in the Super Bowl and they didn't lose anything coming into the season.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: They added pieces to this defense.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be freaking tough to go against.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_00]: So this was a good day.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: These are good joint practices to have for our offense because we can go out there and we're going up against the best of best.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like the DeWan Jones going against Miles Garrett and training camp.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to see anybody better than Miles Garrett the rest of the season.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: So Miles will train against him and everything after that's going to be much easier.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: These are good practices for the Browns.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't expect the offense to excel or do great against the Eagles defense, but on the flip side, the really cool thing is all the reports were that the Brown's defense was dominating the Eagles first team offense.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: That is super encouraging because again,
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: They might not be the best offense in the NFL, but they're still really damn good one.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: And Jalen Hurts is a Super Bowl MVP winning quarterback.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: And how you know, one of the highest pay quarterbacks in the league and all this stuff.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they've got great wide receivers and say, Juan Bargley and by all accounts.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: we were dominating them.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: There were multiple posts where it was Jalen Hertz, sack by Miles Garrett, sack by Mason Graham, sack by Carson Swesinger.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: I saw one of those.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: There were a couple.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there was a bunch of plays where it was Jalen Hertz, sacked.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think he threw like three interceptions today against our first team.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think Cam Mitchell, the guy kind of rotating into the slot corner back roll after Greg knew some and Martin Emerson or out with injuries right now.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Cam Mitchell, I believe, had one of those.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: And again, comments, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was Mitchell that had one of those interceptions.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it just seemed like they struggled a lot against our defense.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: So by all accounts, both first team offence is in the first joint practice today, struggling against both first team defenses today.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: And as a Browns fan, I don't really care about the ego side of things, because whatever, I'm not rooting for them.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: They're not my team.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: As a Browns fan,
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is for the offense.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: I expect them struggle against the the Eagles for the defense.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very encouraged to hear that they did so well against this offense.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: That is great news.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of how I anticipate the year to go.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think if we play, you know, and opposing defense, that's pretty good.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Our offense is going to struggle because we're not very good.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have a whole lot of great players on our offense.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: Our offensive line is not what it used to be and we don't have skill players and all that kind of stuff.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: defensively though, I think our defense can help us be in more games than maybe a lot of people are anticipating.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: This could be a little bit reminiscent of the twenty twenty three season when we won way more games that we had any business winning, but it was because our defense was just so dominant against opposing offense is especially at home.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll get to see how that plays out week one against the bangles because that's going to be a high flying high powered offense, but it's going to be on our field in our stadium week one.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the Bengals are doing things different, obviously, this year, because they don't usually play players, starters in the preseason.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: They did play their starters at least in the first preseason game.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they're trying to counteract this whole house slow they start their seasons, because the last couple of years has been pretty slow out the gate.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Once they get rolling, they can, they can put up some points and win some games, but the slow start is what's been holding them out of the playoffs for the most part.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: So we will see it all come out week one.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: So that's really the main takeaways, key notes from practice today.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: No major injuries to anybody on either side that I saw other than obviously this oblique injury for Shidorah Sanders.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: The last thing I kind of wanted to just mention because it happened a couple of days ago.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently it happened on Saturday, early Saturday morning at two a one a.m.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: according to social media here.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: Frick and Miles Garrett pulled over, speeding once again in Strong'sville.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: He was clock going a hundred miles per hour and a sixty mile per hour zone.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: miles and, you know, Blake, I don't have my phone.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: Blake texted me the other day and we were talking about this and it's like, everybody, of course, you can't, everybody's got to fight right on social media about this stuff.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: And it's some people are saying, who cares about these speeding tickets?
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: Not a big deal.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: Other people are saying, yeah, it is a big deal.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: So Blake,
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: said, uh, the other day, you know, miles pulled over for going on under this F and guy will never learn.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, I agree.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: I said, so stupid.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: I said he almost kills himself and still doesn't matter.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: And Blake even said, Blake says, I wrecked my truck twice and now I'm overly cautious with incoming traffic.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, this dude flipped his car a zillion times and just said, effort, yellow.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you this is a little concerning for Miles Garrett.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: I believe I saw this was his eighth speeding citation since he's been in Cleveland.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: He did have the very dangerous car wreck the other the last time or was it two times I don't remember now it's been so many but he flipped his car.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was with his girlfriend if I remember correctly.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: Could have died.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, could have killed himself and going fast like that.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you could kill somebody else.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's very reckless.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's very careless.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's just stupid.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Kevin's to fanski was asked about it today before practice said that the team is dealt with it internally.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: They've spoken with miles.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: All that kind of stuff.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: He said it's very disappointing.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: You should not be going that fast.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's dangerous, yada, yada, yada.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, after Shador Sanders got hit with his two speeding tickets earlier this summer, these aren't the only guys to have this happen, but you would just think at some point it would sink in that, hey, maybe I don't need to go a hundred and a sixty, especially since I flipped my freaking core of the last time I did it.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I just, why can't this team do normal things?
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: I talked about it at the top of the show.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: Why can't the best player on my team just be a good leader and just not be a dumbass?
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Big deal, not big deal who cares you care.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about it and I'll get Justin and Kenny to comment on the speaking thing tomorrow night plus a ton of other stuff.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about this should door Sanders injury.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: We'll give you guys updates from joint practice tomorrow as everything wraps up.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: The Browns will take Friday to prepare for Saturday's game.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then we are preseason game to already.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: Man, the summer is flying by.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's I mean, it's about school time for the kiddos.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: Propal season is right upon us.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: We are so close.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I would imagine after this preseason game next week sometime, we should be getting the update from Kevin Stephanski on who the starting quarterback will be week one for the Cleveland Browns.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_00]: My bet is on Joe Flacco.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's the only one that makes any kind of freaking sense right now.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll see this team does not always do sense making things.
