- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:01Speaker 1: Bounced Life Chiropractic and we have doctor Harley with us.
- 0:04Speaker 1: How you doing, doctor Harley?
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, John h Bird. It's been a little chili, but
- 0:07Speaker 2: I'm no good.
- 0:08Speaker 1: It has been crisp. I think that's a nice word
- 0:10Speaker 1: to describe what the weather's been.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I like that.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It's a good one because it's nice during the day,
- 0:14Speaker 1: but it's like chili overnight. And Heidi left the door
- 0:16Speaker 1: open the other night.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I woke up.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm like, I can see my breath.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Not good.
- 0:21Speaker 1: So one of the things that we should talk about,
- 0:22Speaker 1: because we've talked about this before, but all of the
- 0:25Speaker 1: technology that you implement in your office, that's not something
- 0:28Speaker 1: you see in every chiropractic office, is it.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah, we're a little more like using technology science base
- 0:34Speaker 2: just to really help our patients understand, you know, what's
- 0:37Speaker 2: going on with their health problems. With using this stuff,
- 0:40Speaker 2: like we can actually show them what's going on versus
- 0:43Speaker 2: like they're talking at my head hurts. I'm seeing like
- 0:46Speaker 2: I can't turn my head, like we can see that.
- 0:47Speaker 2: We can see, Okay, your nerves are really irritated in
- 0:49Speaker 2: that spot. The muscles are really overactive there, and that
- 0:52Speaker 2: helps us get a bigger picture of, Okay, what's really
- 0:55Speaker 2: going on. Is it a spinal issue, a nerve problem,
- 0:58Speaker 2: or a muscular issue, muscule sin alte issue. And then
- 1:01Speaker 2: we do these scans throughout care too, so you can
- 1:03Speaker 2: see how your body's responding to the adjustment. It's one
- 1:06Speaker 2: thing for you to be like, oh, I don't really
- 1:07Speaker 2: feel like anything's different. Oh I feel way better, but
- 1:09Speaker 2: we can actually see, okay, muscle scans looking way better.
- 1:12Speaker 2: You're way less stressed in there, muscles are not quite
- 1:15Speaker 2: so overactive, so you're not being constantly pulled out of alignment.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Using all of that helps us just get a bigger
- 1:21Speaker 2: picture of what's it going to take to start helping
- 1:23Speaker 2: you feel better.
- 1:24Speaker 1: And we've kind of compared this to like if you
- 1:26Speaker 1: take your car to a mechanic. Sometimes they plug your
- 1:28Speaker 1: car in and they go, okay, according to this, we
- 1:30Speaker 1: see this problem, this problem, this problem, or the alternative
- 1:33Speaker 1: you could take it to somebody doesn't have that kind
- 1:34Speaker 1: of equipment and they could just try to fix one
- 1:36Speaker 1: piece at a time until they find the right one.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I've had that happen with vehicles in the
- 1:40Speaker 2: past where it's like, I don't really know what's going on.
- 1:42Speaker 2: There's something that's causing a battery issue, but we can't
- 1:45Speaker 2: identify it and it takes a really long time to
- 1:47Speaker 2: figure it out.
- 1:48Speaker 1: But the good news is we're gonna change every piece
- 1:50Speaker 1: one at a time, and you get to pay for
- 1:52Speaker 1: it right.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Now and then there's no plugging in or anything like
- 1:55Speaker 2: that with these scans. The one is a nerve scan.
- 1:57Speaker 2: It's like a giant thermometer. It's really just reading the
- 2:01Speaker 2: temperature around your spine because where things are irritated at,
- 2:04Speaker 2: it's gonna become hotter than the other sets. And it's
- 2:07Speaker 2: very ticklish if you're I suppose if you're sensitive to that.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Apparently it's a John problem thing. It's very tickly.
- 2:16Speaker 2: And then the muscle assessment, it's the same technologies in EKG.
- 2:18Speaker 2: So are reading the muscle activity from you sitting, which
- 2:22Speaker 2: is a very simple activity. And if you work at
- 2:24Speaker 2: a desk all the time, and we're seeing that you're
- 2:26Speaker 2: way over active in the muscle scans just sitting. That
- 2:29Speaker 2: means like you're wasting energy just sitting at your desk
- 2:31Speaker 2: or driving your car, like simple stuff, and so you're
- 2:34Speaker 2: wasting energy doing things that don't require that much. So
- 2:37Speaker 2: then when you are doing actual exercise and bigger activity things,
- 2:40Speaker 2: you're wasting even more energy. And if you're always tired
- 2:44Speaker 2: or you feel like your muscles are always tight, that
- 2:46Speaker 2: can be part of the problem. Is they are just
- 2:48Speaker 2: on all the time versus having time of rest.
- 2:51Speaker 1: If somebody listening is going, hey, this sounds fascinating to me.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Like she said, they don't plug you into a machine,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I was saying that was the car. They plug your
- 3:00Speaker 1: car into a machine. But I think that the scan
- 3:02Speaker 1: is a similar thing where it's it's not guesswork, it's
- 3:04Speaker 1: not you know, we're going to poke around to we
- 3:06Speaker 1: figure out what it is. It's it's a lot more.
- 3:08Speaker 1: It feels more specific and scientific.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we can. We're working to address the root cause
- 3:13Speaker 2: of the problem.
- 3:14Speaker 1: If somebody would like to maybe sit down and chat
- 3:17Speaker 1: with you and see if this is the right thing
- 3:18Speaker 1: for them, what is the best way for them to
- 3:19Speaker 1: start that conversation.
- 3:21Speaker 2: As simple as giving us a call and getting a
- 3:22Speaker 2: new patient appointment set up, so you can give us
- 3:24Speaker 2: a call at six or five two one, five, one
- 3:27Speaker 2: seven eighty, or reach out to us on our Facebook
