'His fault': Trump 'robs GOP of chance' to go on offense in swing states

What happened
Donald Trump is the “biggest culprit,” according to an anonymous Republican source quoted by Politico and relayed by AlterNet. The source blamed the political damage on Trump’s trade war and Iran war, saying both had hurt farmers and rural communities.
