- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
- 0:06Speaker 1: where we left off with the Hillary Clinton transcript from
- 0:09Speaker 1: her trip to Congress. Hillary Clinton, I have no information
- 0:14Speaker 1: about that. Question by Mr. McGuire, if I take you
- 0:18Speaker 1: at your word, or we take you at your word,
- 0:20Speaker 1: you let Epstein and his close associates close to your family,
- 0:23Speaker 1: close to the Clinton Foundation. Do you feel you made
- 0:25Speaker 1: a mistake? Answer, I never met him, so I have
- 0:29Speaker 1: no way of judging. I never met him. And I
- 0:31Speaker 1: wish he had been stopped in 2008 instead of given
- 0:34Speaker 1: a slap on the wrist like he was. Answer, thank you.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And with that, it concludes the majority's time. Now they
- 0:40Speaker 1: go off the record. Now they come back on. Speaker
- 0:44Speaker 1: number five, whoever that is. We can go back on
- 0:47Speaker 1: the record, ma'am. I have just a few questions about
- 0:49Speaker 1: things you discussed in the previous round, and then I'll
- 0:52Speaker 1: turn it over to a member of the committee. There
- 0:55Speaker 1: were a few cases of mistaken identity, I think, in
- 0:57Speaker 1: the previous hour. Answer, yeah. Question. So for one, we
- 1:01Speaker 1: understand that Bob Torricelli was the DSCC chairman when you
- 1:06Speaker 1: ran for Senate, not Bob Kerry. I think you got
- 1:09Speaker 1: that one right. And I just wanted to confirm that
- 1:11Speaker 1: for you. Answer. Yes. Question. In addition, John Scully is
- 1:16Speaker 1: a businessman who at one point was the CEO of Apple.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Steve Scully is some kind of IT person in the
- 1:22Speaker 1: Virgin Islands. Am I correct to say that you do
- 1:24Speaker 1: not know Steve Scully, the IT guy in the Virgin Islands? Answer.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That is correct. So what does that have to do
- 1:30Speaker 1: with anything? Steve Scully corroborated what Virginia said. And if
- 1:35Speaker 1: you don't like that, I don't really care. And if
- 1:37Speaker 1: you feel protective of the Clintons, this is not the
- 1:39Speaker 1: right topic for you. Question. Great. You were asked several times,
- 1:46Speaker 1: and I just want to get it clean here in
- 1:47Speaker 1: one place. Whether your husband visited Mr. Epstein's Island in
- 1:51Speaker 1: the U.S. Virgin Islands. Firstly, to be clear, you yourself
- 1:54Speaker 1: did not visit Mr. Epstein's Island. Is that right? Answer.
- 1:58Speaker 1: That is right. Question. And am I right that it's
- 2:01Speaker 1: your understanding that your husband also did not visit Mr.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Epstein's island? Answer. That's my understanding. And I think there's
- 2:08Speaker 1: significant evidence to back that up, including that the Secret
- 2:11Speaker 1: Service actually went on record to say they had never
- 2:14Speaker 1: been on the island and that my husband had never
- 2:16Speaker 1: signed off Secret Service protection. Question. You took the next question,
- 2:21Speaker 1: which was to clarify that as far as... Hillary jumps
- 2:25Speaker 1: in again. Let's clarify it again. Maybe they'll hear it
- 2:28Speaker 1: this way. Question. Question. We'll double clarify that, as you know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: your husband did not separate himself from the Secret Service
- 2:35Speaker 1: detail in order to fly on Mr. Epstein's plane. Answer,
- 2:40Speaker 1: as far as I know, he never signed off on
- 2:42Speaker 1: Secret Service protection, so she's calling Virginia a liar, and
- 2:46Speaker 1: the Democrats are backing that up. Keep that in mind.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Just the facts, folks, right? Question, one last one from me.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez was Attorney General at the
- 2:59Speaker 1: time that Mr. Epstein received his sweetheart deal. As far
- 3:03Speaker 1: as you know, was former Attorney General Gonzalez required to
- 3:06Speaker 1: physically come in for his deposition as you are today?
- 3:10Speaker 1: That is not true either. It was Mukasey and Philippe.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Mukasey was the interim in 2007, and Gonzalez didn't come
- 3:19Speaker 1: in until 2008. They don't even know what they're talking about,
- 3:22Speaker 1: the senators and the congresspeople. And I mean, you would
- 3:25Speaker 1: think that the people that are tasked with actually knowing
- 3:28Speaker 1: what's going on would actually know what's going on, but
- 3:30Speaker 1: I guess not. Answer, as far as I know, former
- 3:35Speaker 1: Attorney General Gonzalez was not required to come in. He
- 3:38Speaker 1: gave a statement, a very short statement, saying he didn't
- 3:40Speaker 1: know anything and he was excused from appearing. But I
- 3:43Speaker 1: think I would be useful for the committee to probe
- 3:46Speaker 1: the information that was available between Alex Acosta and the
- 3:49Speaker 1: Department of Justice. during that period of time when Epstein
- 3:52Speaker 1: was charged with crimes. Yeah, like the year of emails
- 3:56Speaker 1: that disappeared. Might be a good idea to look for those.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I know, just another conspiracy, right? Just another coincidence. Question. Lastly,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I will read the names of some other individuals who
- 4:08Speaker 1: were subpoenaed by this committee in connection with the investigation.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And I'll just ask you if you're understanding that those
- 4:14Speaker 1: individuals were required to physically come in for a deposition.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Answer. It's my understanding that
- 4:23Speaker 1: he was not required. Question. Former FBI Director Robert Mueller. Answer.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Not required. Question. Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Answer. She
- 4:32Speaker 1: was not required. Question. How about Eric Holder? No. Question.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And former Attorney General Merrick Garland. Answer. No. Question. And
- 4:42Speaker 1: former FBI Director James Comey. Answer. No. Question. Thank you.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Now the next speaker. Madam Secretary, good afternoon. Clinton, hello, Congressman. Question,
- 4:52Speaker 1: thank you for your patience today. As we've discussed, you
- 4:56Speaker 1: served in a variety of official roles from 93 to 2013. First, Lady,
- 5:01Speaker 1: Senator from New York, Secretary of State. During your time
- 5:05Speaker 1: in any of those positions, did you have responsibility for
- 5:08Speaker 1: the investigation or the prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein? Answer, I
- 5:13Speaker 1: did not. Question, during your time in these positions... Were
- 5:16Speaker 1: you ever involved in any investigation or prosecution of Epstein? Answer,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I was not. That's the problem, dum-dums. Nobody investigated the guy. Question,
- 5:28Speaker 1: which agency, just given your experience and knowledge, what are
- 5:31Speaker 1: some of the agencies or agencies that would have been
- 5:34Speaker 1: involved or were involved in those kinds of investigations and prosecutions? Answer,
- 5:39Speaker 1: I don't know personally, but just looking at the responsibility
- 5:42Speaker 1: of various agencies, it would be local, state, and federal
- 5:45Speaker 1: law enforcement. And at the federal level, obviously the Department
- 5:49Speaker 1: of Justice. It might as well have been the Border Control,
- 5:52Speaker 1: an FAA, or TSA, other agencies that had anything to
- 5:56Speaker 1: do with transportation. Question, but in your experience, not First Lady, Senators,
- 6:02Speaker 1: or Secretaries of State? Answer, not in my experience, none
- 6:04Speaker 1: of the above. Question, in any of your roles, did
- 6:08Speaker 1: you ever seek to influence any level of government activity, investigation, prosecution,
- 6:13Speaker 1: related to Jeffrey Epstein? Answer, I did not. Question, similarly,
- 6:17Speaker 1: during your tenure in these positions, did you have responsibility
- 6:21Speaker 1: for the investigation or prosecution of Glenn Maxwell? Answer, I
- 6:25Speaker 1: did not. Question, were you involved in the investigation or
- 6:29Speaker 1: prosecution of Glenn Maxwell? Answer, I was not. Question, thank you.
- 6:34Speaker 1: During your tenure, did you ever seek to influence any
- 6:37Speaker 1: level of government investigation or prosecution of Glenn Maxwell? Answer,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I did not. Question, okay, one of the things that
- 6:46Speaker 1: was discussed earlier was a conversation between Ghislaine Maxwell and
- 6:49Speaker 1: Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, after which Ghislaine Maxwell was
- 6:53Speaker 1: transferred to a lower security, more comfortable prison situation. Are
- 6:58Speaker 1: you familiar with that sequence of events? Answer, I've read
- 7:01Speaker 1: about that, yes. Question, and when we, this committee, deposed
- 7:05Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell, her attorney requested a pardon on her behalf,
- 7:09Speaker 1: or rather stated that if she were pardoned, she would
- 7:12Speaker 1: be at liberty to share more information with the committee
- 7:15Speaker 1: and others. Are you familiar with that? Or have you
- 7:18Speaker 1: read about that? Answer, I read about that. Question, and
- 7:21Speaker 1: the media has asked President Trump if he's considering pardoning
- 7:25Speaker 1: of Glenn Maxwell, and he, to date, has not ruled
- 7:28Speaker 1: out a pardon or clemency for Glenn Maxwell. And because
- 7:32Speaker 1: we've talked with you today about your role as Secretary
- 7:34Speaker 1: of State in trying to ensure that there are stronger policies, laws,
- 7:38Speaker 1: protections to prevent sex trafficking, child trafficking, human trafficking, I
- 7:43Speaker 1: just want to ask you, from your perspective, what signal
- 7:46Speaker 1: would it send to those in the United States or
- 7:48Speaker 1: around the world who might want to engage in those
- 7:51Speaker 1: crimes if somebody convicted of those crimes were pardoned by
- 7:54Speaker 1: the President of the United States? Answer, I think it
- 7:58Speaker 1: would send absolutely the wrong signal. Question, in your experience,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I'll ask again, Do First Ladies or Secretaries of State
- 8:07Speaker 1: or Senators oversee or be involved in specific sex trafficking investigations? Answer, no.
- 8:13Speaker 1: As I said earlier, Congressman, the Secretary of State has
- 8:16Speaker 1: a responsibility to try to use diplomatic authority, the power
- 8:20Speaker 1: of sanctions, to convince other countries to improve their laws
- 8:24Speaker 1: and enforce them. Question, in your opinion, and you may
- 8:28Speaker 1: have touched on this to some extent, who should this
- 8:31Speaker 1: committee be speaking to if we wanted to know more
- 8:33Speaker 1: information about on specific federal sex trafficking investigations, previous, current, future. Clinton,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I think the Department of Justice, which is the primary
- 8:43Speaker 1: law enforcement agency of our government, and perhaps some of
- 8:46Speaker 1: the individual U.S. attorneys and Attorney General that might have
- 8:50Speaker 1: units devoted to trying to prevent and prosecute human trafficking. Question,
- 8:55Speaker 1: thank you, that's all I have. And we can go
- 8:57Speaker 1: off record. So they go off record, now they're come
- 9:00Speaker 1: back on, and Eric Burleson is asking the questions. So
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm going to begin with some lighthearted different questions, and
- 9:08Speaker 1: you're welcome to ignore them if you want to. But
- 9:10Speaker 1: while I have you here, I just wanted to ask.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So when your husband was president, it was Lawrence Rockefeller,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and he had an effort to try and disclose UFOs
- 9:18Speaker 1: and UAPs. When you were running for president, John Podesta
- 9:22Speaker 1: publicly stated that you would disclose these files. If given
- 9:25Speaker 1: the chance, if you had been president, are you pleased
- 9:28Speaker 1: to see that these files may be disclosed finally? What
- 9:32Speaker 1: are we doing? Why are we talking about UFOs? Answer,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'm pleased. As I say, I think they have to
- 9:40Speaker 1: be carefully scrutinized so that no national security information is disclosed,
- 9:44Speaker 1: but this is an issue of real importance to so
- 9:46Speaker 1: many people, and I think whatever can be disclosed should
- 9:49Speaker 1: be disclosed. Question, was there a program that specifically that
- 9:53Speaker 1: was referencing that you were aware of? Answer, I was not.
- 9:58Speaker 1: As you mentioned, John Podesta, who was one of my advisors,
- 10:01Speaker 1: was deeply interested in the issue. And if I had
- 10:03Speaker 1: been elected, I certainly would have listened to his advice. Question, well,
- 10:07Speaker 1: thank you for your indulgence on that. As you know,
- 10:10Speaker 1: Alexander Acosta, who gave Epstein the 2009 plea deal, maybe
- 10:14Speaker 1: instead of talking so much about aliens and this other bullshit,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you brush up on what actually happened. He said whenever
- 10:21Speaker 1: he was asked that he belonged to intelligence and to
- 10:24Speaker 1: leave it alone. Were you, and I think you've answered
- 10:26Speaker 1: this before, but if you could answer more directly, were
- 10:29Speaker 1: you or anyone in the Obama administration through your role
- 10:32Speaker 1: in the State Department or even afterward in the Clinton
- 10:35Speaker 1: Foundation ever briefed on Epstein having any U.S. intelligence ties? Answer,
- 10:40Speaker 1: I was not. Question, were you ever briefed of him
- 10:44Speaker 1: having any foreign intelligence ties? Answer, I was not. Question, okay,
- 10:50Speaker 1: Epstein filed a FOIA request in 2011 seeking any CIA
- 10:54Speaker 1: records about himself. That would have been during your time
- 10:57Speaker 1: as Secretary of State. So through your role, were you
- 11:00Speaker 1: made aware of that FOIA request? Clinton, I was not. Question, okay. Answer,
- 11:05Speaker 1: was it ever responded to? Question, that's a good question. Clinton,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I know nothing about it. Question, and typically they haven't
- 11:13Speaker 1: responded to us on our FOIA requests. In 2014, Epstein
- 11:18Speaker 1: met with William Burns, who was a senior State Department
- 11:21Speaker 1: official and later CIA director. Lawyer jumps in. Excuse me,
- 11:25Speaker 1: could you say what year that was again? Burleson, 2014. Question,
- 11:30Speaker 1: in 2014, he met with Burns? Answer, uh-huh, Epstein met
- 11:34Speaker 1: with William Burns. As the Secretary of State at the time,
- 11:37Speaker 1: were you aware of that meeting? Clinton, I wasn't Secretary
- 11:40Speaker 1: of State in 2014. Answer, or question, 2014. Okay, were
- 11:44Speaker 1: you aware of that meeting with Mr. Burns? Clinton? I
- 11:47Speaker 1: was not. Burleson? Okay, and finally, Ghislaine Maxwell's father was
- 11:51Speaker 1: Robert Maxwell, who was widely reported as being Mossad or
- 11:55Speaker 1: MI6 intelligence. In any of your conversations with Maxwell or
- 11:59Speaker 1: people connected to her, did they ever mention Robert Maxwell's
- 12:02Speaker 1: intelligence background or any ongoing foreign or domestic intelligence connections
- 12:07Speaker 1: through your conversations or interactions? Clinton, I have never talked
- 12:11Speaker 1: to anybody. about whether that is true or not. I
- 12:14Speaker 1: don't know. Question, were you aware that when Maxwell attended
- 12:18Speaker 1: your wedding, she was skipping a court order deposition in
- 12:21Speaker 1: the Epstein victim's lawsuit? Maxwell's lawyer jumps in. Excuse me,
- 12:25Speaker 1: do you mean her wedding or do you mean her
- 12:26Speaker 1: daughter's wedding? Question, I'm sorry, your daughter's wedding. I'm sorry.
- 12:31Speaker 1: When she attended your daughter's wedding, were you aware that
- 12:33Speaker 1: she was skipping a court ordered? Clinton jumps in. I
- 12:37Speaker 1: had no idea. I didn't know anything about that. Question,
- 12:40Speaker 1: is this the first time you're hearing that? Answer, it
- 12:42Speaker 1: is the first time I'm hearing that. Burleson, but at
- 12:45Speaker 1: the time, she was going through the investigation. Clinton, I
- 12:48Speaker 1: knew nothing about it at the time, so I can't respond. Question, okay, later,
- 12:52Speaker 1: Chelsea vacationed with Maxwell in 2009. And reportedly, Hillary Clinton
- 12:58Speaker 1: jumps in, that was before the wedding. Answer, yeah, okay,
- 13:01Speaker 1: before that. She vacationed 2009. Was reportedly friendly with her.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Are you aware of the nature of that relationship? Answer,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I think you described it. It was a friendly relationship. Question,
- 13:12Speaker 1: is it safe to say that she was closer to
- 13:14Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell than you were? Answer, I had very little
- 13:17Speaker 1: contact with Glenn Maxwell, so I can't speak to anybody
- 13:20Speaker 1: else's relationship, only my own. Question, but is it safe
- 13:24Speaker 1: to say she was closer? Answer, I'm not going to
- 13:27Speaker 1: characterize it because I don't know. Question, okay, Chelsea was
- 13:30Speaker 1: also in attendance at the wedding in Morocco in 2002.
- 13:34Speaker 1: It's also been documented that Epstein was there, as well
- 13:36Speaker 1: as Maxwell. At that time, she would have been 21,
- 13:38Speaker 1: maybe 22 years old. Do you have any concerns or
- 13:43Speaker 1: have you asked your daughter about any potential inappropriate activity? Answer.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You know, all these questions about concerns that predate the
- 13:51Speaker 1: charges and pleas of Epstein are very hard to answer
- 13:54Speaker 1: because people did not know. Question at the time. Answer
- 13:58Speaker 1: at the time. And all the questions about contribution to
- 14:01Speaker 1: the joint committee, people didn't know. And so in retrospect,
- 14:04Speaker 1: nobody would have had any contact with someone like that. Well,
- 14:07Speaker 1: couldn't you use the same excuse for everybody else? Like
- 14:10Speaker 1: everybody that you're claiming should be up here? Everybody should
- 14:14Speaker 1: get that same kind of luxury, that excuse? Okay. I guess.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And those people who continue to have contact with him
- 14:23Speaker 1: after he pled guilty are in a different group because
- 14:25Speaker 1: that happened and they still maintain contact with him. Question,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I think we're all experiencing that. Where we're having a
- 14:32Speaker 1: revelation of what we didn't know at the time, but
- 14:35Speaker 1: in reflecting back, certainly it's appropriate to ask questions. And
- 14:39Speaker 1: so my question is, knowing what happened at the time,
- 14:41Speaker 1: have you had conversations with her? Was there any inappropriate
- 14:45Speaker 1: activity during that time? Answer, at that time, nothing was
- 14:49Speaker 1: known and nothing untowards occurred. And then there was no
- 14:53Speaker 1: further contact with him. So I can't really speculate about
- 14:56Speaker 1: that further. Question, we can all agree, I think, that
- 14:59Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was a monster. That he was empowered or
- 15:03Speaker 1: enabled by Ghislaine Maxwell. I think we can all agree
- 15:06Speaker 1: with that, correct? Correct. Answer, I can't characterize a relationship.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I think you can agree that he committed crimes, he
- 15:12Speaker 1: was not fully held accountable for them, which could have
- 15:14Speaker 1: stopped his predatory practices, perhaps, that continued for quite some
- 15:18Speaker 1: time afterward. And then he was finally indicted for serious crimes,
- 15:22Speaker 1: and he's in prison, and then he mysteriously dies. And
- 15:25Speaker 1: with her, she was finally indicted, tried, and convicted. And
- 15:28Speaker 1: I think you have to look at it in the
- 15:30Speaker 1: chronological way in which it unfolded. Question, yeah, I think
- 15:34Speaker 1: there's varying degrees of culpability. She was certainly going beyond
- 15:37Speaker 1: just being silent in her knowledge about the horrible acts
- 15:40Speaker 1: that he was doing, but she was actually enabling it. Answer,
- 15:45Speaker 1: that's what she was convicted of. So you can't just agree.
- 15:48Speaker 1: You can't just say, yeah, she's a monster. She's a
- 15:50Speaker 1: piece of garbage. And that's because Hillary Clinton, breaking news,
- 15:53Speaker 1: was friends with Glenn Maxwell. I know people don't want
- 15:56Speaker 1: to hear it, but that's the truth. Question, that's right.
- 16:00Speaker 1: But if she had not been enabling, if she had
- 16:03Speaker 1: not been taking those steps, if she had just been silent,
- 16:05Speaker 1: question are you asking her to speculate burleson responds i'm
- 16:09Speaker 1: asking would you agree that she'd be culpable as well
- 16:13Speaker 1: just in her silence answer i have no information about
- 16:16Speaker 1: that so i'm not going to speculate burleson okay all
- 16:20Speaker 1: right with that i'm done all right folks we're going
- 16:23Speaker 1: to wrap up right here and in the next episode
- 16:25Speaker 1: dealing with the topic we're going to pick up where
- 16:27Speaker 1: we left off all the information that goes with this
- 16:30Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box
