  Speaker 1: truth is, I do things that are weird, I see

  Speaker 1: the population of the world. Spiritualism has always been around,

  Speaker 1: but it was birthed kind of into modern day culture

  Speaker 1: the spiritual world, people who dive into this are either

  Speaker 1: when you start getting into this world, are unbelievable, and

  Speaker 1: really hard time dealing with people who are very egotistical

  Speaker 1: they have just been through unbelievable bullying. I have been

  Speaker 1: I had a gift and something was very different with me.

  Speaker 1: and heard things that were not of this dimension, of

  Speaker 1: I was born, so we didn't, my parents did. And

  Speaker 1: hearing kids playing, and like really fun stuff was going on.

  Speaker 1: But once the winter months come, the windows were all shut,

  Speaker 1: and you could still hear those kids playing, and you

  Speaker 1: could still hear... Kind of like a music box sound.

  Speaker 1: That really freaked my mom out. Now, fast forward. I'm

  Speaker 1: a little girl. I'm about three, four years old. And

  Speaker 1: I had developed an imaginary friend, okay? I had this friend.

  Speaker 1: Her name was Mary Agnes. My mom was like, where... Like,

  Speaker 1: my middle name is Mary. She got that. But where

  Speaker 1: did she get Agnes from? Where is Agnes? I was

  Speaker 1: dead set on this name. Dead, dead set on this name.

  Speaker 1: And I ended up talking about what she looked like

  Speaker 1: and what we did together. And then one day, my

  Speaker 1: mom was getting us ready for school. And she turned

  Speaker 1: around and she saw what I had described, this little girl...

  Speaker 1: standing underneath the kitchen table. She looked away and she

  Speaker 1: looked back and the little girl was gone. So after that,

  Speaker 1: my mom ended up hooking up with the historical society,

  Speaker 1: doing a lot of history on the house and found
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: out that a little girl on that property was one
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: of the founders kind of of our town. And that

  Speaker 1: little girl did die. Her name was Mary Agnes and

  Speaker 1: she died of scarlet fever. in the 1800s. A lot
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: happened over the years. Some things that are really dark,
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: some things that are very deep. But the one thing
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: that remained was that I had a gift that was
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: getting stronger, especially as I headed into puberty, which is
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: a really, really common occurrence, especially if you're going through
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: a lot of hard things. In this house, my mom
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: was diagnosed with MS and she had a really extreme decline.
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: I was hitting puberty at the same time. It was
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: a really big mix. And when puberty happens and there's illness,
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: Poltergeist type stuff happens. A lot of it's energy based.
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: It's weird. You can look into it. Is it a ghost?

  Speaker 1: Is it energy based? Poltergeists, you know, aren't really intelligent
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: beings at all. So it's weird. It's like an energy thing.

  Speaker 1: So as I got into my late teenagehood in my

  Speaker 1: early 20s, I started working with some people and working
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: on paranormal cases. And I ended up seeing some things

  Speaker 1: to unremember, like going to an exorcism or helping a

  Speaker 1: family rid some very demony things from their home. And

  Speaker 1: it was a lot for me. I did a lot

  Speaker 1: of things as a kid talking to things that I

  Speaker 1: shouldn't have, and I think it lined me up for

  Speaker 1: a lot of really terrible things that I went through

  Speaker 1: in my young adulthood. So the reason I started the

  Speaker 1: podcast is because I picked up some really bad energy.

  Speaker 1: I did. And it stuck to me and it stuck

  Speaker 1: to people around me and I needed to pull myself
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: away from that and learn because I'd never really learned

  Speaker 1: how to protect myself. I have had things happen that

  Speaker 1: make it so I have no choice but to believe

  Speaker 1: wholeheartedly because even when it happens now and I've had

  Speaker 1: things happen a million times, I still am like, this

  Speaker 1: can't be real. There has to be an explanation. A

  Speaker 1: skeptic lives in me, but she's dead. She's dead inside.

  Speaker 1: She's a ghost. I'm not putting those together. She's literally
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: a ghost. I'll give you a recent one and then
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: we're gonna get into the nitty gritty. There was a
• 8:11
  Speaker 1: person who had gone missing our area and that night
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: i went to bed and i saw exactly where this
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: person was and what had happened and i sat on
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: it and i sat on it and i saw this
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: person posting a lot about said missing person and i
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: printed off a map and i circled exactly where they
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: were and i sent them the map and i'm like
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: hey it's gonna sound really weird but i just have
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: a feeling about this spot and the person was back
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: like who are you and how do you know and
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: it got very scary for me so i pulled back
• 8:36
  Speaker 1: immediately the next day was a search party and they
• 8:39
  Speaker 1: were gonna get up at 8 a.m I got up
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: at six to get ready. And I said, Adam, like,
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that this person's here. And, and Adam
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: was like, I don't want you to go, but my
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: friend is going. So let him know. So I sent
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: the friend a map and I let him know. And
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: he went to the police. He said, this is a
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: spot that I was told, you know, had vibes with.
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: We should go there. And the police said, We've already
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: looked there three times. No one's there. So this friend
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: and some people went to that area anyways, walked the
• 9:02
  Speaker 1: exact 30 feet that I had said and found that
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: person in that area. And I just remember I was
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: sitting at the kitchen table and I looked at Adam
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: and I said, I think they're going to find him soon.
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: And five minutes later, I got a message from the
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: friend saying, we found him. And I said, dead or alive?
• 9:16
  Speaker 1: And he said, dead. And I asked more details and
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: he said, I'm coming to your house. He got to
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: our house and he was kind of white and he
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: just was like, how did you know that? And I
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: just said, I wish I could explain. But my dreams
• 9:28
  Speaker 1: have been the biggest conduit of seeing things. My gift,
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: I call it home reading. That's a blanket term for
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: what I used to do. And I actually wrote a
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: first book right here, The Home Reader. It is very
• 9:39
  Speaker 1: dated and needs to be rewritten. I wrote it when
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: I was like 22, maybe? And it was talking about
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: the cases that I had worked on and the things
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: that I have seen over the years. But I called

  Speaker 1: it The Home Reader because what I used to do,

  Speaker 1: I used to go into a space and I would

  Speaker 1: pretty deep but the extent to that I can get

  Speaker 1: is And this is how I describe it, which is

  Speaker 1: very strange. But you know the first Insidious movie when

  Speaker 1: they go into that like astral projection-y realm? It is
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: in a weird sense a little bit like that where
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: like the light changes and stuff. So I would sit
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: for usually nearly half an hour and I would get
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: into this state. and then I would open my eyes
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: and everyone would kind of sound like they're underwater and
• 10:30
  Speaker 1: I would go from room to room and what would
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: happen is memories would play from different points in time.

  Speaker 1: It wasn't necessarily a haunting as it was suspended energy
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: of things that have been experienced. So I would sit

  Speaker 1: down on a couch for example in a living room
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: and when I opened my eyes to this side this
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: room might be a little darker and this one's a
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: little lighter. So the lighter one is less energy but
• 10:52
  Speaker 1: the one with a little bit of the darker like
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: shadow hue to it would be the room that would
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: have weird energy. And say there was something really bad
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: that happened in there, I would go in and instead

  Speaker 1: of the ceiling being white, it would almost be as
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: if like a smoke was up there. And then sometimes
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: I could see whatever had happened in that room play
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: out perfectly, but other times I'd be in that room
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: and I would just hear whispers or, like, muted conversations
• 11:17
  Speaker 1: of things that had happened. And I kind of put
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: it down to what it sounds like to play with
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: old walkie-talkies as your kid, where it's, like, really broken up,
• 11:24
  Speaker 1: or it sounds really far away, or, like, a radio station, like,
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: with a frequency that's going in and out, so you
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: can kind of hear what's going on, but you can't.

  Speaker 1: I would do those meditations in each room. I would
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: close my eyes, and I would get a clearer picture.

  Speaker 1: But if it was something that I wanted to do quickly,
• 11:38
  Speaker 1: I would do the one, and I'd walk around and
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: I'd say key words and key situations that I saw
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: and heard. And then it would be dictated down on
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: two cue cards that were named for each room. So
• 11:48
  Speaker 1: that's the home reading aspect. Now, for me, when I'm
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: in public, when spirit manifests in quite a different way
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: and it's hard and that's why I don't really do
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: concerts and stuff like that, but it starts with my
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: ears ringing and then I'll usually get vertigo and I
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: will feel very weird. And it's such a strange thing
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: because I have a really hard time connecting with like
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: spirit of myself, or people who are really close to me,
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: but strangers' connections are so much louder to me. But
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: a lot of the time, it's as simple as my
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: ears ring, and I feel dizzy, and I can feel
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: the energy. I can identify if it's male or female,
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: but I, you know, can't place who it's with. But
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: there are times when I can, and that's why I
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: don't spend my life saying, I am this person, because
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: I can't just manipulate the energy of an area and
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: The truth is, I feel like if I practice on it,
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: I could, but I just fear about spending so much
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: of my time trying to cultivate this gift that I'm
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: not sure if I want. Because the truth is, being
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: ignorant is fantastic. And when I do really work on
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: this gift, it blows up and it gets insane. And
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: then I start wondering how much of it is real
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: because it's happening all of the time. And that's the
• 13:02
  Speaker 1: other thing. I feel like everybody is psychically inclined in
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: some way. Some of us more than others, but it's
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: all how much you work on it. When I first
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: sat down and I started recording, it's almost like, you know,
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: energy knew that I was about to and my ears
• 13:17
  Speaker 1: started to ring and I got dizzy and something was clear.

  Speaker 1: And the truth is, energy is always moving around us,
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: so it is coming in and out all of the time.

  Speaker 1: When you do start seeing and hearing things, you're like,
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: am I crazy? Am I making this up? Because there's
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: a huge part of me sometimes when things are so clear,
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: I feel like I just made a storyline up in
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: my head. But then it gets completely validated. And it's terrifying.

  Speaker 1: There's a woman who went missing in London, Ontario years
• 13:44
  Speaker 1: and years and years ago. And I have had for
• 13:46
  Speaker 1: probably seven years the same dream about where she is.
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: And I am afraid... to write the police department and say, hey,
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: I think this is where she is because it's opening
• 13:54
  Speaker 1: up doors of them showing up at your house and saying, hey,
• 13:57
  Speaker 1: how'd you know this? But at the same time, I
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: guess it could bring a lot of peace. I'll get
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: on that. Before the comments, I'm going to get on it, okay?

  Speaker 1: I hadn't thought about that. I think the other thing

  Speaker 1: when it comes to psychics and clairvoyance and all these
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: different genres of psychics is that there's a lot and
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: it's easy to manipulate people into believing you, which I
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: have found out so much. For example, look at what
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: happened with Sam and Colby at the Conjuring house. I

  Speaker 1: remember watching that episode and being someone who did the
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: haunted estate for years, I knew the methods they were
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: using and it like really broke my heart to see

  Speaker 1: how Sam go through these revelations and I was hoping,

  Speaker 1: you know, in a weird way they were real, but

  Speaker 1: I've done too much research on the Fox sisters. Kind

  Speaker 1: of thinking about writing a weird book about them anyways.

  Speaker 1: But I learned so much about practices and how people
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: made things happen and people will do anything for a dollar.

  Speaker 1: People will do anything You know, out of the kindness

  Speaker 1: of their heart, I think a lot of people work

  Speaker 1: in the mediumship circles to bring people peace, regardless if

  Speaker 1: it's real or not. There is a beauty behind that,

  Speaker 1: bringing someone peace. But again, like I said, I think

  Speaker 1: everyone is psychic to a point. But have I gone

  Speaker 1: to a psychic convention with five different psychics and only

  Speaker 1: one of them got something a tiny bit? Yeah. What

  Speaker 1: blows my mind is some of them that say things

  Speaker 1: I just said, it was just a voice. And it

  Speaker 1: intense bike rider and she hadn't taken it up since
