- 0:44The Horn for Azeroth. Hello and welcome back to
- 0:51another episode of For Azeroth. I am really sorry I was
- 0:54distracted by Lex's dance there. I didn't know exactly what was
- 0:57going on, but we are back with Lex.
- 1:00Lex, how are you and how's the World of Warcraft been treating
- 1:03you? Manny, I do that dance every
- 1:06single time you do the countdown.
- 1:08What? If if you're curious, by the
- 1:12way, you can always come to the discord at bit dot LY slash fast
- 1:15discord and then you can see our podcast live, which means that
- 1:20you can see me do a little dance every time Manny does the
- 1:22countdown. Hello, World of Warcraft is
- 1:24treating me very well. Well, live is great.
- 1:27We got Salvador down, so we're finally working on dementias and
- 1:31Heroic, which is very exciting. And we've more or less decided
- 1:35that we're going to keep pushing a Prague and not reset for
- 1:39either until we get really sick of it or we get AOTC, which is
- 1:42very exciting and very fun. Alpha I'm having mixed feelings
- 1:45about, but we'll talk about that later.
- 1:47OK, OK. And then coming from the other
- 1:51side of this triumvirate, we have Sean.
- 1:54Hello, Sean. And how's the World of Warcraft
- 1:57been treating you? Well crafts been treating me
- 2:01well. We are also working on dementias
- 2:03where mythic is supposed to heroic so that's exciting.
- 2:06Lex and I Prague in the same boss at the same time.
- 2:08We're basically the same level of player.
- 2:11Yeah, essentially, yeah, we are. You're like the.
- 2:13I was going to say shorter, but I actually don't know if you are
- 2:16shorter, but you're like the yeah, American version of me and
- 2:20I'm the Canadian version. Of me.
- 2:21Wait, how tall are? You I am.
- 2:23Well, my ID says 5 foot 10 but I think I'm closer to 5 foot 9.
- 2:28OK, yeah, you're taller than me, but only a little.
- 2:31Yeah, OK, All right, so you have the shorter version of me, but I
- 2:34have been enjoying alpha, unlike Lex, so I guess we will talk
- 2:38about that later. And yeah, also Lex mentioned
- 2:43that you can come to the Discord to watch a live recording of the
- 2:45shows, which you can, but as of this episode, which you might
- 2:48already know if you're already doing what I'm about to say you
- 2:50can do, You can see the full episodes on YouTube.
- 2:53Again, we're putting them back. I did a deep dive on our YouTube
- 2:57comments. Some of you all need Jesus and
- 3:00but some of you missed us, so we're coming back to YouTube as
- 3:03of episode 353. There you go.
- 3:07And then on top of that, if you are following along with
- 3:10everything we're doing, we are currently giving away 2 copies
- 3:14of the Dreadlord Regalia. So if you want to enter that
- 3:19contest, you can do so over on Twitter or a new Instagram that
- 3:23we've started up. So yeah, FAZ everywhere you want
- 3:27it. With that said, let's get into
- 3:30the news. So the big news this season is
- 3:37well, actually we're going to be talking about Legion remix, but
- 3:40I'm I'm I'm questioning as soon as I said that I'm questioning
- 3:42you. That's the big news.
- 3:44But it is the big release on retail right now.
- 3:47We have Legion remix has gone live and that means that you can
- 3:52go back to the Broken Isles. You can play through the initial
- 3:56starting part of Legion or if you are part of like the
- 4:01amazingly dedicated, you might already have a level 80.
- 4:05So for those who are wondering, Legion Remix this time is
- 4:10phased. There are multiple phases.
- 4:12This this phase is the Skies of Fire that comes with the launch.
- 4:16And that of course, is you're leveling up along the Broken
- 4:19Isles, the Emerald Nightmare raid and the Trial of Valor
- 4:24raid. So there's a lot to do
- 4:27initially. Sean, have you been playing
- 4:30Remix? No, you had said this.
- 4:35I, I kind of, I kind of had suspicions.
- 4:37You had said that this was not the remix that was like
- 4:40appealing to you. You have already played this
- 4:43content if I recall, unlike Mr. Pandaria remix.
- 4:47Sort of, yeah. I didn't play it when it was
- 4:48current. I went, when I rejoined Azeroth,
- 4:52I went back and played through all of the Legions story and I
- 4:55have done, I want to say 3 of the class halls, maybe four of
- 4:59the class halls, Death knight, paladin, druid, warrior.
- 5:05I feel like Demon Hunter. So maybe five of the class
- 5:08halls. I, yeah, I'm really, I'm not
- 5:12going to say what I was going to say.
- 5:13I'm really glad that people are super excited for Legion Remix
- 5:16and that people really love the Legion stories and that they get
- 5:20a chance to play them again in this mode.
- 5:22I it doesn't, I don't know if it's because of when it came out
- 5:26and what else is going on around it.
- 5:28When we had Mop Remix, it was in the middle of season 4.
- 5:31There were the raids rating season was over.
- 5:33We did have War within Alpha and Beta.
- 5:37But yeah, this it's, it's not not sparking joy.
- 5:43It is definitely not happening during a season 4 where like you
- 5:47were checked out of basically retail.
- 5:49And yes, it it's happening at the same time as the alpha.
- 5:52There's a lot of news happening for everybody.
- 5:57And then there's a lot of things that people want to play for
- 5:59those who happen to have access. But for for the quote UN quote
- 6:03normies, as people have said in our chat.
- 6:06So with Legion remix, the big thing is of course the artifact
- 6:12weapons. For me, I've played through
- 6:16every campaign other than druid and mage.
- 6:22Already. Not already, I mean like in the
- 6:25past. So like the reason that I would
- 6:27play them this time is for those two to experience those.
- 6:31But I think that, yeah, it's it is a little bit like I've been
- 6:36here before and to play those campaigns, I could do that at
- 6:39any time. So the main appeal for this in
- 6:44my eyes is all of the cosmetics and all of the things that you
- 6:49may have missed the first time around.
- 6:51And that's the big thing about these remix, that hyper fast
- 6:55experience that allows you to do all of these collections.
- 6:59But the other half of it was like that amazing power that you
- 7:03could build the the power of fantasy that you could destroy
- 7:07entire aids by your lonesome. And there's a question about
- 7:10that in this new version, Lee Mix, if you will, because how
- 7:17quickly you get power was a question.
- 7:20They speed it up in PTR testing. Originally it was slower.
- 7:23They speed it up. There is infinite power within
- 7:28the the weapons. But on top of that, we've got
- 7:32this phased progression, so even if you spend as much time as you
- 7:37can in this initial part, the maximum item level that you can
- 7:42get for your weapon has been capped, and that is supposedly
- 7:46the same for all of your items. That is 633.
- 7:49That's still pretty impressive in my mind, but I don't know
- 7:53what that worked out to relative to current retail.
- 7:57The amount of bronze that you get is now purely cosmetic.
- 8:02You're not splitting that between power gains and the
- 8:07goodies that you want to buy. And of course, this is Legion,
- 8:12so there we've got analogs to a bunch of stuff that we're in
- 8:15Legion. So instead of artifact power,
- 8:17you've got the infinite power. Instead of artifact knowledge,
- 8:20you've got. Yeah, you guessed it.
- 8:22Infinite knowledge seems like a quasi return of form for people
- 8:27who knew about it. But for people who are like just
- 8:30getting to know Legion or having their first taste with this,
- 8:33this is going to be a little bit more complicated than Mr.
- 8:35Pandaria remix. So Lex, you had all the time in
- 8:40the world. Would you be diving into this?
- 8:42Are you going to dive into this? I don't think so.
- 8:46I so I guess I have kind of so first of all, I did actually
- 8:50play through legion. That was basically right when I
- 8:53came back to World of Warcraft. So I have played through that.
- 8:55So the story isn't like something that I need to
- 8:57experience first hand the way that in Panderia I never really
- 9:00played it. I didn't love Panderia remix
- 9:06because it did feel like I didn't like know life it early
- 9:10on. And that meant that kind of all
- 9:11the content was just boring. Like if I did a raid, it was
- 9:14just me standing in the corner twiddling my thumbs and pressing
- 9:16a button occasionally. So I guess I don't dislike the
- 9:24changes and the kind of capping things and keeping it
- 9:26controlled. But I guess that also makes me
- 9:28wonder what the point is, right? Because like you said, Manny,
- 9:32you can play all of this at any other time.
- 9:36So time walking it, it feels like the benefit of like the the
- 9:39joy of time walking, the drop time walking is if you push
- 9:42really hard, you can just plow through everything.
- 9:45And if that's not true, then this is just I guess it, I guess
- 9:49it's collectibles, right? It's just to get appearances and
- 9:52and cool little things, which is valid, but not it's something
- 9:56that I I enjoy having on the side, but I'm not going to
- 9:58dedicate time just to collecting.
- 10:00That's why I'm a world first Raider, right Sean?
- 10:03Nailed it. Yeah, I'm with Lex big time.
- 10:05I, I actually, if I didn't have to make a character and level
- 10:08it, the chances of me engaging with this content go up by like
- 10:111000. I would definitely dip in and
- 10:14check it out. Even if I could just take one of
- 10:16my level 80s, it's already level, then just dip it in and
- 10:18have a convert to remix to get the collectibles and stuff like
- 10:22that. I don't know, there's a lot of
- 10:24good Transmogon Legion, so I might want to go in and get that
- 10:26anyway, but I just, I don't need more alts.
- 10:30I don't even want all the alts that I have.
- 10:31I deleted all of my Mop Remix characters as soon as Mop Remix
- 10:35ended. Like I I aggressively deleted
- 10:38them. Yeah, I don't know.
- 10:43For me it was getting those collectibles for sure.
- 10:49I did not delete my my Mop remix characters.
- 10:54I only played played one and it was my chance to level a mage
- 10:58because mage was the last class that I had not actually leveled
- 11:03anywhere near to cap. So that that was the
- 11:07opportunity. Obviously I've got Evokers near
- 11:10cap. There is no new class that's
- 11:13come out since Evokers so I don't have any of those.
- 11:17So the question becomes like OK, what exactly am I after?
- 11:21And you're right, if I could not level then I would probably do
- 11:26this. But then if I'm not leveling
- 11:29through this, I'm really just better off going back to current
- 11:35Legion where I'm over level, over geared and just smashing
- 11:39everything myself without this like strange little system to
- 11:43get. So now I'm worried that it's a
- 11:46matter of FOMO. Are the cosmetics?
- 11:50Are the those like chance items so great that like that's going
- 11:55to push me to playing? And in which case am I waiting
- 11:59for the last phase where they're going to offer all these catch
- 12:02up stuff just to quickly go through it and be like, OK,
- 12:05great, let me get as much bronze as like there's literally
- 12:08spreadsheets out there that allow that tell you what do you
- 12:11want to buy? This is how much bronze you
- 12:13need. This was something that came up
- 12:15in Mr. Pandaria before. And I think that's the case that
- 12:18that I'm most likely going to do.
- 12:19I'm going to speak to like some of the great people that are out
- 12:22there. Vega is a great resource for
- 12:25this and be like Vega, help me out here.
- 12:27Give me the spreadsheet. Can you can you help me get
- 12:30through this sort of stuff? And I remember last time, Sean,
- 12:34you were part of those that group of pumpers that like to
- 12:36like take people along and clear through all their aids.
- 12:39And I think that's where my play is going to be, just getting
- 12:42like carried along by Sean, hopefully hoping that the Gator
- 12:46doesn't like bite down as I'm picking out the bronze from
- 12:48between his teeth. Yeah.
- 12:52I do want to say though, you mentioned that you can go
- 12:54through and do the class all campaigns at any time for any of
- 12:57those classes you're missing on retail, but you're incentivized
- 13:00to do it during the mix because they get rid, they get rid of
- 13:06all the needless bull crap like the wait three days for this
- 13:10mission table and that's all gone, I'm told.
- 13:13So if you want to actually do it efficiently, you need to do it
- 13:15now. Otherwise you get stuck behind
- 13:17all these ridiculous time gates. I don't know, we'll see if I can
- 13:21jump in and just grind dungeons. Maybe that's a day on stream to
- 13:2580 and then get my bronze to buy my stuff.
- 13:28Who knows, we'll see, but there's lots more going on right
- 13:32now. I gotta get my I gotta, I gotta
- 13:34get these new bear forms that remix.
- 13:37I just got them. I all I did was log in once.
- 13:39It was great. Thanks Blizz, I put as much
- 13:42effort into that as I imagine most of the people who got mage
- 13:45tower appearances in the late Legion did, and I will use much
- 13:48much much less Pearl clutching about my gathering of those
- 13:51appearances and than those people did.
- 13:53Well, Sean, I got some bad news, which I feel like you're leading
- 13:58us into. One of a few bugs that showed up
- 14:03with with Legion. Is that every druid suddenly
- 14:08unlocked? Well not every druid this very a
- 14:11lot of druids and I haven't met a druid that hasn't has suddenly
- 14:14unlocked bear form where bear form and the other mage tower
- 14:19form for Farrell the sparkle Kitty form without having to do
- 14:24anything just logging in. And Blizzard has noted that this
- 14:28is a bug and unintentional interaction and that they are
- 14:33working on fixing it. And when they do fix it, the
- 14:36people who didn't earn it the way that what's prescribed,
- 14:41they're gonna lose it again. There's a a dev somewhere at
- 14:45Blizzard like with tears streaming down their eyes like
- 14:47they said they wanted this. They definitely said multiple
- 14:52times that Mage Tower appearances were not going to be
- 14:54part of Legion Remix, so the fact that they showed up just
- 14:57randomly, nobody was convincing anybody that this was intended.
- 15:02Unfortunately. There will of course be belly
- 15:04aching when they take it away because people like, you know,
- 15:09you like stuff and free stuff can't, can't beat that price
- 15:13there. There will be a lot of belly
- 15:15aching when they fix this. That said, that wasn't the only
- 15:19bug. We've seen a number of reports
- 15:21of people having a lot of difficulty in the starting areas
- 15:25for Europe, as well as some other various issues.
- 15:30I think it's weird that the starting area for Europe was
- 15:34damaged but like NA didn't seem to have the same level of
- 15:37difficulty from the reports that I've been getting.
- 15:41Because like when I was playing like retail last night because I
- 15:44wasn't playing remix, I was not hearing a lot of belly aching
- 15:49from my like guildies that were across over on remix playing.
- 15:54Does I guess something got transferred wrong over to the EU
- 15:59servers after NA bug tested? Yeah, it wasn't just so.
- 16:02I mean EU had those problems today, but NA had problems last
- 16:06night. The Legion, Legion launch had
- 16:08problems. Obviously the Webber stuff,
- 16:10there was issues in in Remix itself, but the retail servers,
- 16:14yesterday's 11 point 2.5 patch did something to mangle the the
- 16:19retail servers. People were unable to hearth,
- 16:21they were unable to leave dungeons, they were unable to
- 16:23log into the game, they were unable to exit the game, and all
- 16:26of this was still occurring as of 4 1/2 hours ago.
- 16:31If you put in for crafted items, it was upgrading your, it was
- 16:34craft. It was upgrading your craft item
- 16:36to the next item level, but you were losing the item level on
- 16:39your overall item level. So instead of going up 10, you
- 16:41were dropping 10. It was deleting your main stat
- 16:45gains. It was, and then if you left the
- 16:47zone, if you left Dornegall, they would come back, but if you
- 16:51went back to Dornegall, they would go away again.
- 16:53And then in some dungeons, they were also phasing in and out.
- 16:57And, and I mean, they're working on all of that to get all that
- 16:59rectified, but that was yesterday was, to quote Taliesin
- 17:03and Evertel, a shit show. Which is scary, not to be a
- 17:10little bit of a broken record, but it's scary on a .5 patch
- 17:14like those. I if, if I heard about that
- 17:17degree of bugs on an expansion release, I would be like, that's
- 17:21a little extreme. I would have thought they'd have
- 17:22that a little bit more streamlined.
- 17:24It's a little a little stressful that that's occurring now.
- 17:30But I mean, I suppose you can also say if you want to be
- 17:33optimistic, that they're getting all the bad stuff out now.
- 17:36And so when midnight comes out, it's going to be beautiful.
- 17:39I don't think that's how game dev works but OK I'll I'll I'll
- 17:43join your optimism train. I will will not be drinking the
- 17:47copium. I will.
- 17:48I will believe it when I see it, but you know what I guess the
- 17:54the upside of this is that it is happening at the later part of a
- 17:59season where most people are winding down their their place.
- 18:04So disruption now is affecting less people than a disruption at
- 18:08the very beginning of an expansion when everybody's
- 18:11trying to jump in. With that said, I hope that
- 18:14people who are up for it enjoy Legion remix.
- 18:17I hope that when I eventually take the dive that it becomes a
- 18:21much more rewarding experience than I'm currently worried it
- 18:24will be. And let's move on from there.
- 18:28Before we jump in though, I would like to thank everyone
- 18:31over at Patreon that is supporting the show.
- 18:34Our show will always be free, but if you find value in what we
- 18:38do, please consider supporting us over at patreon.com/faz.
- 18:46Wait, wait a second. That was my job. 3 episodes in a
- 18:49row. What happened?
- 18:49Did you not like the way that I was thanking the Patriots, man?
- 18:53You I I recall you saying he's never give me again.
- 19:00I don't remember that. Oh, I'll find a stand clip.
- 19:03Anyways, we go from one controversy to another.
- 19:10Sean, can you talk to us about the add on Anarchy?
- 19:15Yeah, so we saw Alpha launched to the world last week and with
- 19:21that release we finally got our first glimpse at the level of
- 19:27access we'll have for add-ons. We have some lovely show notes
- 19:30here. I'm actually just going to read
- 19:31right from the show notes. So Blizzard had reached out
- 19:34prior to this to several add on authors and gave them details of
- 19:37the changes to the API that was going to be present for testing
- 19:40and that would be implemented with the release of the Midnight
- 19:42expansion. One of the things that Ian has
- 19:46Acosta said is that the UI and add-ons, like they're just
- 19:49putting everything combat related into a box.
- 19:51The UI and add-ons can know that that box exists.
- 19:54They can display information about the box.
- 19:56What they can't do is know definitively what's inside the
- 19:59box or run any kind of logic based on it.
- 20:02What does this mean? Well, it means you can color
- 20:05everything in that box if you want, but it's all the same
- 20:07color. So now you first of all use
- 20:09nameplates as the example. You can color all name plates
- 20:12yellow, but you can no longer color individual name plates of
- 20:15specific mobs because the NPCID exists in that box.
- 20:20So you, you lose some of that granularity that we have.
- 20:22We do see we'd so initial, the initial gut reaction from the
- 20:25community was horror, abject horror.
- 20:30And we also found out in that same time that this was going
- 20:33live with the launch of of Midnight.
- 20:36So we had talked about that, that we had heard rumors that
- 20:39there were there was potential that we were going to lose
- 20:41access to these combat add-ons with the launch of Midnight,
- 20:44despite going fundamentally directly opposite what Ian has
- 20:50Accosta said in an interview where he said is that they just
- 20:56to be super clear, I think I, I think we see the taking apart,
- 21:00taking away part, the restricting functionalities as
- 21:03the end of this long road. I think we know, we want to make
- 21:06it very clear that we're not sitting here being like, all
- 21:09right, we want you to play the game the way we intended, and
- 21:11we're going to take away your tools.
- 21:12We just want to bridge that gap. To quote Maury Povich, that was
- 21:16a lie. Now Manny's going to correct me
- 21:20and say it's a necessary lie, that the design decisions may
- 21:23have changed along the route from the time that he gave that
- 21:25interview five months ago to today where we give this
- 21:28information. But I'm the hyperbolic 1, so
- 21:31we're going to go with what I said.
- 21:34So basically we lost access to everything all at once.
- 21:38We go is called it quits. They said we can't function
- 21:40under this. In order to change the way that
- 21:43this add on works, we would have to fundamentally rewrite it from
- 21:46the ground up and lose so much functionality.
- 21:47So we're just not going to. And then they gave three
- 21:51conditions under which if any of these three were met, that they
- 21:55would consider continuing add on support for Midnight.
- 21:59And then Bigwigs came out and said, well, we're going to see
- 22:02what we can do. Bigwigs is able to replicate
- 22:06their own combat timeline like the Blizzard in game timeline.
- 22:10However they're not allowed to change the names of any of the
- 22:12spells and they're not allowed to change what spells are
- 22:14displayed. If you go and look at the actual
- 22:17Blizzard timelines, they display a ridiculous amount of spells to
- 22:24the point that it almost feels like they're just intentionally
- 22:27trying to overwhelm you with how much information they're giving
- 22:29you so that none of it is valuable and you can't remove
- 22:32any of it with with add-ons like big wigs and DBM.
- 22:36So it was it was community panic.
- 22:39You know, there was a lot of comments about accessibility,
- 22:41which I do want to get into, but I want to give you guys a chance
- 22:43to talk before we get into sex ability.
- 22:45But I do have some quotes on that from a very well written
- 22:49article by the undaunted Guild. I'm just looking for them here.
- 22:53So we'll talk about accessibility in a second.
- 22:56But ultimately it was people basically hard hardcore dooming
- 23:01over the edge of all add-ons are gone.
- 23:03Blizzard can't possibly replicate these thousands of
- 23:06hours of development time that these devs have done.
- 23:09What are we going to do? Does that about sum it up?
- 23:12Yeah. And I do want to say that like
- 23:15the way that they have restricted is that initially any
- 23:22add on in an instance that tried to use the add on comms channel
- 23:27or was trying to interact with the chat was restricted, just
- 23:33blocked. That meant that even things that
- 23:37you might not consider too dangerous was being affected.
- 23:41Things like loot council after you've killed a boss, you're
- 23:44like, OK, let's hand the loot out to people.
- 23:46Nope, blocked. You're in an instance, can't
- 23:48work. Something simple as sending a
- 23:51pull timer if you didn't want to use Blizzard's pull timer.
- 23:55Nope. Requires it requires
- 23:57communication to get that countdown In Sync with
- 24:01everybody. Guess you can't do that anymore
- 24:04and you have to use Blizzards one.
- 24:05This was heavy-handed, yes, limited to just instances, but
- 24:11just heavy-handed. And without getting into the
- 24:15accessibility part of this, Blizzard did come back very
- 24:19quickly and say, OK, we're going to adjust it so that it only
- 24:23does this new logic behavior, this, this new restriction while
- 24:27you're actively in combat. So now you can do a pull timer
- 24:31or break timer or loot council because you're not actively
- 24:35fighting something, assuming somebody doesn't start trying to
- 24:38pull while your loot council's going.
- 24:40Still a restriction anyways, so like they're trying to.
- 24:45Walk it back. That means you can't.
- 24:46You can't clear trash while sorting out the loot from your
- 24:49boss. Exactly.
- 24:50An essential time saver in every rage.
- 24:53Exactly. So it's not, it's still not a
- 24:55perfect solution. And in fact, the author of one
- 24:59of the add on said, I think they went with the nuclear option as
- 25:04a bargaining tactic to say that like, hey, we're going to
- 25:08destroy everything. And maybe if you beg and plead,
- 25:13we'll give you something which isn't a good faith argument.
- 25:17You're applying into intent. And you're immediately going for
- 25:20like the worst thing. But is, is a fear that has been
- 25:25expressed. And so I guess I report it.
- 25:27What do you think, Lex? Well, first of all, I think that
- 25:30that is ascribing malice to what is probably, I think the the
- 25:36word in the quote is stupidity. But I'll be nice to Blizzard, I
- 25:40think. I think they're just flying by
- 25:41the seat of their pants, man. That's what I've been feeling
- 25:43for all of this. I feel like they're just making
- 25:44decisions on the fly and are not having the time to think things
- 25:48through. This one is particularly
- 25:52frustrating to me though, because, and I'm about to do the
- 25:55same thing and ascribe malice to it.
- 25:57It feels like they keep lying to us.
- 26:00I I've always been the one who is a little bit more on the side
- 26:03of like, I mean, they're going to have to turn them off for
- 26:05people to use them. Like I understand why That's the
- 26:07thing They're going to like that's, that's a call they might
- 26:09make that, you know, ultimately, if, if they want these add-ons
- 26:14to not exist, there's no world like they, they really can't
- 26:17have them exist and not exist at the same time.
- 26:19And then they're going to have to make that call.
- 26:21I've also always been the one on the show, not always, but, but
- 26:24back when Blizzard was like really doing what the, the
- 26:27player base said, I was the one who was like, occasionally
- 26:29Blizzard needs to be comfortable just making an unpopular call.
- 26:32I'm just saying, I know you guys don't think you're going to like
- 26:33it. You got to give it a try though.
- 26:35Like we, we have to make this decision, but they have to stand
- 26:39behind that because this part of why this feels so bad is because
- 26:43we're getting all of these weird mixed messages because we're
- 26:46hearing, don't worry, it's going to be a long road.
- 26:48It's not a big deal. We're going to, you know, try
- 26:51things and test things. We're not just going to turn off
- 26:54add-ons and then they just turn off add-ons.
- 26:57And we're being told we're going to work closely with the add on
- 26:59developers. We're going to get all of this
- 27:01information. We're going to make sure that
- 27:02everything is, is exactly, you know, we're talking to the
- 27:04people who've worked on this. From what I've heard that
- 27:08perhaps did not exist. And now, you know, I, it was a
- 27:13little bit of a, of a joke that in AQ and a, Ian, I believe
- 27:18specifically said the words we are not killing we Goras.
- 27:22And the next day we Goras announces that they're closing
- 27:25forever. So I, I, I would be on
- 27:30Blizzard's side if they just came out and they were like,
- 27:34listen, we understand that you guys and I, I do, I want to put
- 27:39a little pin on this. I do think the accessibility is,
- 27:41it's something that I can't personally speak to.
- 27:43That's an entirely different conversation.
- 27:44And I think that is really, really critical.
- 27:46So this is all my feelings as an able bodied neurotypical
- 27:52probably person. So I, I, I understand there's a
- 27:57lot of experiences that I personally can't speak to and
- 28:00that is significantly more important than like, you know,
- 28:02just the general vibes. But it, it, so I suppose what I
- 28:08should say is it would be one thing if Blizzard said, listen,
- 28:10you guys, this is the only way that realistically we can move
- 28:14forward with the plans we're having.
- 28:16We can't build encounters for our own UI.
- 28:19If you guys are using Wegoras, we can't trust that we can work
- 28:23on this if we're not actually seeing it.
- 28:25We can't test, right? We can't actually see if an
- 28:28encounter's too easy or too hard, if half of you guys are
- 28:31still pulling out Wegoras. So we have to like, we have to
- 28:35make a call, and we've decided to make that call in midnight.
- 28:37If they just said that, I would have significantly more respect
- 28:41for them than what they're doing now, where they're clearly aware
- 28:44that we're going to get really mad when they say that.
- 28:47And so they're just not telling us and waiting for us to figure
- 28:49out and then getting mad later, You know what I'm saying?
- 28:53Yeah, I so I did hear that quote when it happened.
- 28:57The they're using this as a bargaining tactic.
- 28:59I, I also like that I don't think it's a bargaining tactic.
- 29:04I do think it is somewhere in the middle like where Lex said
- 29:07where they were. Just like we need to remove
- 29:08everything because we we can't do this otherwise and they are
- 29:12going to slowly give pieces back, which we've seen them do.
- 29:15It was it was less than two days and they had already made some
- 29:20leniency and giving back the OK outside.
- 29:21We're going to pull timers back in loot council, stuff like that
- 29:24outside of combat while you're in an instance.
- 29:27And they are like if you look at the patch notes today for alpha
- 29:30that came out that we're going to talk about in a bit, there
- 29:31are more changes coming. Nothing that affects weak chorus
- 29:36or bigwigs or LVY or any of those add-ons.
- 29:39But there is another note that says, hey, next week with the
- 29:42net, with the alpha, with the phase 3A build, there will be
- 29:44more changes and that's good. But I do want to speak
- 29:46specifically to the accessibility piece because I
- 29:49think that is the part and as well, like Lex, I'm I I can't
- 29:53speak personally, but there is a very well written article on
- 29:55Reddit, which that's the first time I've ever said those words,
- 29:59that connection. I'm not typically a Reddit
- 30:02person, but this was sent to me by a fan of the show, a friend
- 30:05of the show, a FAZ head, if you will.
- 30:08Just shoot. We're just we're just we're just
- 30:11shooting things out there. See what hits.
- 30:13But in that it was from the Undaunted Guild and they they
- 30:18are a entirely deaf Guild and at the deaf and hard of hearing.
- 30:20I think it's the terming that they use in Warcraft.
- 30:23There was a whole feature done by them on them, by the Warcraft
- 30:26team itself, and they rated a pretty high level.
- 30:29They rated a mythic level and they use weak auras and add-ons
- 30:33extensively so that their Raiders can play.
- 30:35And it's not just them, it's other it's people with color
- 30:37blind issues. So yes, there is a color blind
- 30:39option in Warcraft, but it's for one specific type of color
- 30:43blindness. And spoiler alert, there's way
- 30:45more than one type of color blindness.
- 30:48Visually impaired people play the game, all these things and
- 30:50they use all these different for different reasons.
- 30:53And we are with, with the current restrictions as is, all
- 30:58of their capability to play is gone.
- 30:59They will just not be able to play the game.
- 31:01People who've been playing the game for 21 years, who've been
- 31:03playing since the very first alpha will just now not be able
- 31:06to play the game in the way that they play it currently.
- 31:10And the part that really scares me is it feels like they're just
- 31:14going to be collateral damage so that we don't have a Fractalis
- 31:16boss next expansion. And I want to read one of the
- 31:20quotes there because people I saw recently on Twitter, people
- 31:23were accusing add on developers of using that accessibility card
- 31:27for the benefit of their add on. And also where some people are
- 31:32mistaking, you know, that the calls for the need for
- 31:34accessibility features as in saying, oh, we're just making
- 31:38the game easier. And so this quote is from Terry
- 31:40Smith goes by. I'm going to try to pronounce
- 31:43their character name, but I'm probably going to butcher it.
- 31:45So if Terry, if you ever hear this, I apologize.
- 31:47Diazrael or Thiazrael? And the quote is that there's a
- 31:52dangerous misunderstanding spreading through parts of the
- 31:54community and design philosophy right now that accessibility
- 31:58means making things simple. And that isn't true.
- 32:01Accessibility means options, visibility, and tools that
- 32:04empower players to engage at the same depth as everyone else.
- 32:07Simplification removes challenge.
- 32:09Accessibility preserves challenge and gives players the
- 32:12means to reach it. And here's here's my biggest
- 32:15fear is that that community of players, that entire swath of
- 32:20people who play this game as their only outlet, who play it
- 32:25because it's where all of their friends are, who play it because
- 32:27it's how they cope and how they deal with things.
- 32:29We've been playing it for 20 years.
- 32:30We've been playing it for 10 years and playing it for for two
- 32:32years. This game that was built on and
- 32:35thrived because of its its ability for the community to
- 32:38build accessibility options is going to lose that potentially
- 32:42forever. And the harm that that will do
- 32:44that that really, really scares me and I, I adore Blizzard and I
- 32:50do think that they can get their tools, their cooldown manager,
- 32:54their name plates, their boss timer warnings to a state that
- 32:59will be good enough for abled players.
- 33:03I don't know if I'm using these terms wrong.
- 33:04I disabled community. I, I swear to you, I do not mean
- 33:07to be, I'm trying to be inclusive, but I don't, I
- 33:12honestly truly do not believe that the Blizzard team is big
- 33:14enough or has the experience to build these tools for these
- 33:20people who need them in these super niche areas where they
- 33:23need them and we're turning off the ability for the community to
- 33:26build them for them. I'm so scared that that's going
- 33:28to happen. I would rather fight 100
- 33:30fractalless bosses then then lose that.
- 33:34And by definition, even if Blizzard, which I I agree with
- 33:37you, Sean, I don't think they have the resources and I don't
- 33:39want them to be dedicating resources to that degree of like
- 33:44Razor, like like decision making, right?
- 33:47That's the benefit of add-ons is that somebody can sit down and
- 33:50they can think like, what are all of the individual possible?
- 33:53Like if you guys go into week wars, the options you have are
- 33:56huge, right? I want that to be an add on
- 33:58developer. I don't want that to be a game
- 34:00developer who has a million other things on their plate.
- 34:02But one thing we've seen consistently is when Blizzard
- 34:05does bring in accessibility, there's a lot of time.
- 34:08I had a friend who really like really struggled with dragon
- 34:11riding and it made the first, I think it was the at least the
- 34:16first full patch, if not the first two patches of
- 34:19Dragonflight really bad for them.
- 34:22And yeah, eventually they got the option to turn on static
- 34:27flight, although they did point out that they had to work for
- 34:30it. Whereas, you know, I, as
- 34:32somebody who's comfortable with dragon riding, was flying
- 34:34through the air day one, but it did mean that they had a rough
- 34:38time. And if that had, you know, that
- 34:41that was when we, we had a dragon riding raid boss and that
- 34:44was really challenging. And we, I mean, we, well, we
- 34:46ended up doing that guildies who could fly them.
- 34:49But it if that hadn't been an option, like when that wasn't an
- 34:53option, it was just bad. And it just made the game really
- 34:57tough and just feel terrible. Like even if something isn't in
- 35:01the moment affecting you, knowing this game has this like,
- 35:04looming thing that you just can't do that sucks.
- 35:09That just feels bad. And yeah, I agree.
- 35:11I, I everything else, I, I would rather have crappy encounters
- 35:16that I have to do weak wars for than take people out of World of
- 35:20Warcraft. Right?
- 35:20I I don't think that my desire to play the game in a certain
- 35:23way means that other people shouldn't be able to access it.
- 35:29I think the hardest conversation to have is where the difference
- 35:40can be made. It is obviously not something
- 35:45that I would prescribe to anybody at Blizzard that they
- 35:48would rather never have a Fractus encounter again and say
- 35:53that we don't care about Undaunted.
- 35:55I don't think that's a position that anybody is ascribing.
- 35:59And so the conversation becomes, what are the things that provide
- 36:05accessibility while not creating computational powers that have
- 36:14created this issue that Blizzard has been fighting against?
- 36:18There is the change that they did where they're like, OK,
- 36:23we're going to make something, have a have a private aura.
- 36:31And then people created macros around private auras.
- 36:34There was a conversation about when they design all of these
- 36:40changes, if they were going to then change the game, change
- 36:45classes, change a number of other things so that people
- 36:49didn't require the things that were in there.
- 36:52And in that conversation lies the like, OK, well, if you're
- 36:58changing the ability for add-ons not to have this, how are you
- 37:02then making it having design that is not ableist?
- 37:05And you're right, there are so many things that are hard for
- 37:08people to to handle if they don't have the same
- 37:12functionality of sight that I do, or the same functionality of
- 37:16movement or hearing and, and so many other things.
- 37:19And you're, you're right, that is a lot for Blizzard to take on
- 37:23my question. And I don't think that there is
- 37:26any right answer. My question becomes, if there is
- 37:31no perfect solution, is it not worth pursuing at all?
- 37:36And I, I pause there, it's like, OK, is it more harm one way or
- 37:45the other? Can I really say that if Sean
- 37:49doesn't get to play at all because it creates A impassable
- 37:52barrier, is that one person locked off worth what they're
- 37:59trying to do? And a certain point, they do
- 38:04have to make that decision, right?
- 38:07There is point where you design A game and it has the reaction
- 38:12speed that is not possible for particular players, not even
- 38:16including like people with like visible ability changes, right?
- 38:24There are times where you design something and it doesn't even
- 38:29include situational disabilities, which are a thing.
- 38:33And I know there was like a big issue about this last year, but
- 38:39let's say I'm the sole caretaker of a little kid and I can't take
- 38:4730 minutes to push through a mythic plus.
- 38:49Wouldn't it be great if mythic plus had a pause timer?
- 38:52But if mythic plus has a pause timer, can that be abused?
- 38:55And if I argue for it and somebody argues against it, are
- 39:00they being ableist? So like, it's, it's a very
- 39:03thought conversation. And so I would, the only thing I
- 39:06would sum this up with is make sure that you're not jumping to
- 39:11a conclusion on people's abilities or their point of view
- 39:16and have an honest conversation about like what is reasonable
- 39:20accommodation and what is too much a cost to make it more open
- 39:27for developers to design different encounters.
- 39:30And, and we did have this conversation a little bit with
- 39:32the one button rotation. And I, I am on your side.
- 39:35Like by definition, a game, especially a game that's
- 39:38complex, is going to be inaccessible to some people,
- 39:41right? There are like, there's just no,
- 39:44everything is going to be inaccessible.
- 39:46Like I, I, I have yet to see a perfectly accessible thing and
- 39:49it doesn't exist just because of how many disabilities there are
- 39:52with so many competing needs. I think my biggest thing here is
- 40:01like, yes, choices are going to have to be made.
- 40:06I think they're not talking to people who they need to be
- 40:08talking to. I think they're moving way too
- 40:11fast. And I think choosing to do it in
- 40:13a time when their devs are so spread thin simply because
- 40:17developing a new expansion is a huge undertaking and they're
- 40:20putting so many different things in.
- 40:22I think this was a time that they just cannot do it, do it
- 40:25respectfully. They simply, yes, like they're
- 40:27going to have to weigh these. They're going to have to think
- 40:28it through. They're going to have to try to
- 40:29figure out exactly what works and what doesn't.
- 40:34But I think that this is the worst possible time to do it and
- 40:39the worst possible way because again, if they had just said
- 40:44five months ago, we're going to turn off add-ons in midnight, we
- 40:49would be able to that this conversation could have been had
- 40:53at a time that they could be doing more testing.
- 40:55They could be pulling in guilds and, and, and people who are
- 40:58affected by this and having those conversations with them.
- 41:01Putting it out now means we're all kind of hamstrung, right?
- 41:07Because there are other things they're going to have to fix.
- 41:09There are other things that, you know, we, we need.
- 41:11We, I don't want them to exclusively make midnight about
- 41:13the UI updates. And so this I, I, I think that
- 41:19they're doing this poorly. I think in an attempt to not,
- 41:22and, or either because things are coming out so quickly and
- 41:25they're not thinking them through or because they're
- 41:27trying not to upset us by kind of keeping a couple of things
- 41:30under wraps. I don't know which one it is.
- 41:33I think that they're making mistakes and I think that this
- 41:37was something that should have been a mid patch decision, not
- 41:42not a new expansion decision. The conversation that they were
- 41:45saying like they were considering it back and forth, I
- 41:48don't think this was a clean decision.
- 41:51I don't think the team was unanimous about this.
- 41:54And I think that this was a going back and forth
- 41:56conversation and that's why it switched part way through.
- 42:00But this is the reality that they've created.
- 42:03They're going to have to to own it.
- 42:05I have already, we've already seen that there has been some
- 42:09successful pushback. And I hope that they are
- 42:13definitely having some intense conversations and looking at how
- 42:17things are coming. But again, do look back at our
- 42:20earlier episodes because I think we discussed this in great
- 42:23detail there with a number of different points that we haven't
- 42:25brought up on this. But that's the big fallout from
- 42:29phase one. From there we move into phase
- 42:32two and Phase 2 is going Live Today as of this recording,
- 42:36looks like that we're going to be going into Solomon, and that
- 42:40means that the level cap is raising from 83 up to 88.
- 42:45That means we have two new dungeons, the Den of Nalarak,
- 42:49the Mycera caravans, we've got Delves for Lex and all you delve
- 42:55enjoyers which I might be 1 of. Suddenly we've got Twilight
- 43:00Crips, A Talaman that are going to be open for testing for a
- 43:05special thing that we weren't wasn't actually on the list.
- 43:09There is a raid test for the March of Caldonas.
- 43:13The first boss Belleran child of Allah is going to be a.
- 43:19That was there last week as well.
- 43:21I thought it was in the pre test but not in week one it was.
- 43:25AI did notice that you could talk to the guy.
- 43:26I was too scared to do it, but you couldn't it It was always
- 43:29possible for you to talk to them and.
- 43:31I don't know what happened. You can actually talk to him, he
- 43:34scales you up to level 90 and then when you leave you stay
- 43:36level 90 and keep all your talent points.
- 43:38So if you want to test yourself at Max level without doing any
- 43:42of the leveling, I don't know if that bug still exists in this
- 43:46bill, but it existed last week. Got it.
- 43:48But just so you know, after this week, this test is going to be
- 43:52removed, but it'll be back, of course, when they're doing other
- 43:55testing. But this was should allow them
- 43:57to test out some of these things like the boss timeline, the
- 44:02encounter warnings and various things in there.
- 44:06So, you know, if you can get together a group to test this,
- 44:11please do so. At least for the UI stuff as
- 44:13well, there are some further class changes.
- 44:18So right off the heels of the massive sweeping changes that we
- 44:22saw with alpha phase one, many classes, but not all have
- 44:26received further changes. Some of this is putting in
- 44:29functionality that wasn't a quite able to make phase one.
- 44:33Some of it is some adjustments that should make what was put in
- 44:37phase one a little bit different.
- 44:40Further iterations there, but do check out those patch notes to
- 44:44go through those. We don't want to dive into
- 44:46everything here because again, they are big stuff in that one
- 44:51of the changes that they have made that is again iterative is
- 44:55that class sets and raid weapons and all of that will now change
- 45:01their appearance after they've reached the full upgrade track.
- 45:04Last week there had been a conversation about the fact that
- 45:09the upgrade would not change the appearance at all.
- 45:12And many people were saying, well, this meant that they were
- 45:15locked out of those mythic only appearances unless you rated
- 45:19mythic. Blizzard has said that OK, we're
- 45:23we understand a passion and the want of people to do to do this,
- 45:28but we want it to be more clear. So now when you fully upgrade an
- 45:31item, it will switch to that new appearance.
- 45:34And that means it's a little bit more work for for some people,
- 45:37but it does. I think this change does feel
- 45:41kind of natural in my mind that it's like, oh, you've reached
- 45:43the the top level of this ability and now you get the the
- 45:48new look. Something that I would normally
- 45:50skip on show notes, but it's quite important, especially
- 45:53given the conversations we've been having, is that there have
- 45:57been improvements on name plates, cool down manager, text
- 46:02to speech, and add on security so that the API is now a little
- 46:08bit different than it was on Week 1.
- 46:10And that the stuff that is based to the game that they're trying
- 46:14to use to quote UN quote, bridge that gap, it has been reiterated
- 46:19on. And that is great that they're
- 46:20iterating it on that fast. They need need to keep doing
- 46:23this, especially with the trajectory they're on.
- 46:27And then, of course, last but not least, a little bit of data
- 46:29mining that I think is really cool.
- 46:32Mr. GM pointed out that crests are being updated with names
- 46:37that match the gear that they're intended for.
- 46:41So if you want to update a veteran piece of gear, you're
- 46:43going to get veteran crests with whatever special name it it
- 46:47happens to have void Crest or holy Crest or whatever.
- 46:50If you want to get mythic gear upgraded, well, mythic crests
- 46:54are are there for that. And I think that is the way it
- 46:57should have been specifically on this show.
- 47:00When we had a chance to talk with with Ian, though, one of
- 47:03the few questions that I got through was this seems strange
- 47:06that you're using this nomenclature when you change
- 47:10when you change it, aren't you going to have to redo the names
- 47:12and confuse people? Well, couple of years later and
- 47:16I get to like, rub that question in his face.
- 47:19Anyways, I'll be smug about that.
- 47:21Count that as my win. I'm gonna pass this off to a
- 47:24much more humble person. Sean, what do you think?
- 47:27I love it I'm excited prop paladin Avengers shield now
- 47:30generates holy power again. Let's Efren go I so we I was
- 47:37always a little bit down on the add on stuff there earlier on,
- 47:40but I have to say last week in alpha and I and I assume that's
- 47:42going to carry on through this week.
- 47:44But the last week in alpha was the most fun I've had in
- 47:46Warcraft since I don't know Nya Latha.
- 47:49It's it just like I started. I started the game of vanilla.
- 47:53I fell in love with Warcraft in The Burning Crusade when I did
- 47:56my first prop palate in my first blood off and I went to the
- 47:58Eversong Woods. The Eversong Forest and Blizzard
- 48:02has brought me back and the team has done such an amazing job.
- 48:06The zone is crafted with such care and such attention to
- 48:09detail and it's beautiful. And the stories and the quests
- 48:12are touching and I love them. And the transmog is beautiful
- 48:16and the adjustments they've made to the classes and the specs
- 48:19feel nice. I can see their vision, which is
- 48:22I think more important right now than anything else is being able
- 48:26to see that vision that they they say they have this week.
- 48:30And I love it. I can't wait to dive in.
- 48:33As soon as we end this episode, I'm going to go hit some target
- 48:36dummies on the new prop out. And because it's it's just
- 48:38rocking. It's just been so good.
- 48:40And I am, like you said, I'm glad to see them making those
- 48:42changes. We're going to get a new fee, a
- 48:44new alpha build every week as we get through the five phases, and
- 48:47then we'll probably roll into beta.
- 48:48So I imagine it's five weeks of alpha, then beta.
- 48:51It is so, so important that Blizzard be agile in these five
- 48:54weeks, whether that's with the the name plates, which still
- 48:57needs some work, the cooldown manager, which still needs some
- 48:59work, or just the general class, general class talents and, and
- 49:06balancing. And, and they're, they're making
- 49:07changes like it's great to see. They say they're listening to us
- 49:10and you can see that they are because shaman was basically
- 49:14stripped to the bone rester. Shamans were given riptide and a
- 49:18stick of gum and that was all they had and the shamans were
- 49:22upset. They wanted more and they got
- 49:23their cloud burst totems back. So yeah, Blizzard is, is doing
- 49:27good things in that regard. We just need them to follow suit
- 49:30with the add-ons And if at the end of this journey we get to
- 49:33midnight and add-ons are like basically back to where they
- 49:36were, but they found some way to remove that computational
- 49:40aspect. But we can still do all of the
- 49:42visual changes that we need to want to do.
- 49:45I'll be really happy, but I'm also going to be a little bit
- 49:47pissed off that they put everybody through all of the
- 49:50stress up to that point. But but we'll be happy.
- 49:54But I just will be like, why would you make so many worry for
- 49:58so long if we're the end goal was to just get us back to this
- 50:01point? But we'll figure it out.
- 50:02We're going to get there together.
- 50:03The alpha looks great. Hopefully get access.
- 50:05Don't wait for your emails. Check your being out launcher.
- 50:08I still haven't gotten my e-mail to say that I'm in and I'm in.
- 50:12So please check your check your being out launchers.
- 50:14Get in there and test these dungeons with me.
- 50:17You can avoid the delves. They feel very much like the
- 50:19delves this year. Sorry, that's not bad.
- 50:23We will have to have, we will have to have a conversation
- 50:25about Delves in the next episode.
- 50:28But let's give Lex the final say.
- 50:30Lex, what? What are you liking about Alpha
- 50:33so far and what are you looking forward to in Phase 2?
- 50:36Don't give me the final say, Manny.
- 50:38OK, I'll. Follow up after you.
- 50:41Love that. So me personally, I'm throwing a
- 50:45little bit of a tantrum. I don't love the Havoc changes.
- 50:48It doesn't feel super great to me personally.
- 50:52I don't know. I, I, I honestly haven't really
- 50:55seen what other people are saying about it, So I don't know
- 50:56how other people are feeling about it.
- 50:59I, I, I didn't expect that losing sigil was going to make
- 51:03me feel so sad. I thought that I was really
- 51:05excited when I saw that, but it's turned the rotation so like
- 51:10limited that it bores me honestly, which is so silly.
- 51:15It's like one or two buttons that they took away that I was
- 51:17pressing, but that one or two button hit me a little harder
- 51:20than I expected. Again, I'm throwing a tantrum.
- 51:24I really do not like that meta does not reset I beams.
- 51:28I didn't again, I would not have pegged out of something that was
- 51:30going to like change how much I enjoy havoc, but it like I I
- 51:34would much prefer that they'd nerfed everything like if that
- 51:36was the issue that it was too powerful.
- 51:38I'd much prefer that meta just kind of drop down a little bit
- 51:41because having that burn of like, first of all, the fact
- 51:43that I don't have to think about it and I like I I could just
- 51:46blow meta the second I see it and then I'd be like, oh, what
- 51:48are my I beams at? When do I the whole I beams so I
- 51:50can do meta? I don't like that.
- 51:53I think it actually made it more complicated when the point was
- 51:55to to simplify and also like they're just when you jump into
- 51:59meta and you like you have your rotation immediately when you
- 52:01pop it down and you're just like go, go, go, go, go.
- 52:03That feels so good. And losing that has just felt
- 52:05bad. And the, you know, consolation
- 52:09prize is supposed to be devourer.
- 52:10But I have not played range DPS kind of ever.
- 52:14So I didn't realize how hard it is to do solo.
- 52:16I've been like talking such a big game about how I'm like, Oh
- 52:19yeah, like Dells aren't that bad.
- 52:22Like, I know it's a little different for different classes,
- 52:24but like, solo play and what I'm doing it totally fine.
- 52:29And now I'm trying to do it as a range DPS and I am just not in
- 52:34enjoying it. And I talked to my ranged
- 52:36friends and they did say that it gets better as you get further
- 52:39on. I'm relatively low geared even
- 52:40for alpha and but the range is harder to do solo, which makes
- 52:45sense, right. And so that's, that's been a
- 52:48little sad because that was the thing that I was really excited
- 52:50about. And I think I might still like I
- 52:52wanna test it in dungeons and I I might, I might raid on it, but
- 52:56I don't really see myself gearing on dev just because I am
- 53:01having such a tough time moving from tanky melee to not tanky
- 53:06ranged. Lex I have we have a solution
- 53:09for Lex before Manny takes the last word I What if I told you I
- 53:12could make you tanky and give you back Sigila flame you?
- 53:15Want me to do vengeance? Yeah.
- 53:19That's also why I know that I'm being such a whiny little baby
- 53:21about the, like, eyes not resetting or meta not resetting
- 53:23anything because that's true of every other Demon Hunter.
- 53:26Like that is a havoc only sort of thing.
- 53:28Yeah. And I I should, I actually, I
- 53:30tanked most of our all of our heroic grade on Monday.
- 53:34So it was a re clear. It wasn't anything important.
- 53:36It wasn't anything important. It was just a re clear.
- 53:38And I did, I did wipe us a couple of times.
- 53:40I wipe just once, but I do I really do enjoy tanking.
- 53:44I need to learn vengeance a little bit more.
- 53:46And I mean like also, like I said, I'm throwing a tantrum.
- 53:49These are both things that if if havoc had never had them, I
- 53:54wouldn't be sitting there like it sucks that when I go into
- 53:57meta, it doesn't reset everything right.
- 54:00So I'll get over it it, it's going to be fine.
- 54:02It has just been a little bit sad to be like have gone into
- 54:05midnight so excited about what Demon Hunter is looking at like
- 54:08and after the first week of being like, oh, this is actually
- 54:12I kind of prefer playing on retail.
- 54:15That sucks a little. OK, there's some very different
- 54:21perspectives and I'm glad that contrast has got shown.
- 54:25So where you lie might be 1 extreme or the other, maybe
- 54:30further on either side of the spectrum or somewhere in
- 54:32between. So make sure you're having your
- 54:34voice heard. Go over to the forms and put
- 54:40those in. Or you can just jump into the
- 54:42FAZ discord at bit dot LY FAZ discord.
- 54:45But until next time, may all your hits be crit.
