Wexner Dismisses Congress, but the Epstein Questions Remain (6/23/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. Over the past few months, the House Oversight
0:07
Committee has had conversations with many different people, and of
0:12
course one of those people is Les Wexner. Now, according
0:17
to Les Wexner, he has no idea why anybody even
0:21
wanted to talk to him, and according to him, he
0:25
was nothing more than another victim of Jeffrey Epstein. And
0:29
the whole entire point, according to him, was for the
0:32
Democrats to get a photo wop. And look, there is
0:35
some truth to that. There's no doubt that the Democrats
0:40
are trying to wield this as a weapon against the Republicans,
0:44
but the Republicans are making it easy for them to
0:47
do that. How do you come out here and support
0:51
a dude like Les Wexner. I mean, not a single
0:53
Republican showed up for this guy's deposition, but all of
0:58
a sudden, we're talking about performative politics. Let's be real here,
1:04
if the Republicans cared, they would have been there too.
1:07
And this is exactly what I was talking about when
1:09
all of this first started to bubble up. They're going
1:14
to over politicize it and they're going to drive a
1:16
wedge between people, and nothing's going to get accomplished, and
1:19
nobody's going to be held accountable. All part of the plan.
1:24
And if you're somebody that's engaging in that shit, congratulations,
1:27
you're part of the problem. Today's article is from the
1:31
Harvard Crimson and the headline Wexner calls Congressional Epstein deposition silly,
1:36
says Democrats used it as a photo wop. Leslie H. Wexner,
1:42
the billionaire of retail magnate and best buddy at Jeffrey Epstein,
1:45
accused House Democrats of turning his February deposition about Jeffrey
1:49
Epstein into a photowop, saying in a Wednesday interview with
1:53
The Crimson that lawmakers appeared more interested in the politics
1:56
of the session than in questioning him. Well, why didn't
2:00
you go talk to the police right away? Like Wexner's
2:03
acting like he's somebody that is being just targeted. Buddy, stop,
2:09
if this was a real country and we had any
2:12
real administration running this country for the last four decades,
2:16
your bitch ass would be in prison. So cut the bullshit.
2:21
You're not fooling anybody here. Oh woe is me? I'm
2:24
the victim, shut your bitch, ass uh. Wexner, one of
2:29
Epstein's most prominent clients, at for a nearly six hour
2:32
deposition in New Aubney, Ohio, as part of the House
2:36
Oversight Committee's investigation int Epstein and Glenn Maxwell. The committee
2:41
released video of the deposition the next day. And you
2:44
know what else, I'm sick of all these voluntary appearances.
2:48
Well we're here voluntarily. Well that's because the committee is worthless.
2:53
The whole entire thing is a big ass joke now,
2:57
and I'm getting tired of it. I'm getting tired of
3:00
the games. I'm getting tired of the fucking clowns, and
3:03
I'm getting tired of the circus that has come along
3:06
the second people realize they can monetize this madness. I
3:13
didn't know anything. I wasn't guilty, Wexner said. I was
3:15
very happy to give the statement and the deposition to
3:18
end it all. Yeah, you weren't guilty. That's not what
3:23
Virginia said. Why didn't you ever see Virginia les Wexner.
3:28
Maybe it's because you're guilty. I don't know. Could that
3:30
be it? Could that be a possibility. I know, the
3:35
great less Wexner would never do anything like that fucking
3:39
human crip keeper over here. Maybe he wants to talk
3:41
about Maria instead of Virginia. You know how you and
3:45
your security kept her locked in at New Aubany. Maybe
3:49
we want to talk about that, well, Wexner said. The
3:53
session quickly became political theater, calling the deposition silly and
3:57
a nothing burger. Oh yeah, you know, a nothing burger
4:02
giving Jeffrey Epstein the keys to Victoria's secret. Nothing burger,
4:06
giving Jeffrey Epstein full and unfettered access to your money.
4:09
Nothing burger. I mean, I guess if the government doesn't
4:13
use Rico against you, sure, but in the real world,
4:18
you're getting hit with rico, homie, your name's getting pulled
4:21
off all those buildings, and your bitch ass is going
4:24
to prison. But that's not the world we live in.
4:29
We live in a world that is vastly unjust, and unfortunately,
4:33
when the hammer comes down, it usually lands on people
4:36
like us. Essentially, the whole thing was their time getting
4:40
on a video say they did it. Wexner said, I
4:43
don't think ten minutes of the questions ten questions or
4:46
ten minutes of questions were asked by Congress members. It
4:49
was a photo op. It was asked by the investigators.
4:53
That's the whole point, mister Wexner. And since they weren't
4:56
direct enough for him, I'll step in and I'll be direct. Hey,
5:00
mister Wexner, did you or did you not rape Virginia Roberts.
5:05
How about you answer that question, you piece of shit scumbag.
5:09
Wexner said he was disappointed in how the Epstein investigation
5:13
has been politicized and told the Crimson that representatives appeared
5:18
to lose interest behind closed doors. Oh I don't doubt
5:20
that either. If you think for a second that I
5:24
trust these Democrats that are on this committee, you got
5:27
a fuck another thing coming. I don't trust any of
5:31
these people. I haven't trusted them for the last seven
5:34
years because of this, and I'm not going to trust
5:36
them anytime soon. And I hate to admit it, but
5:41
Wexner's not wrong when he says it's performative for a
5:44
lot of these people. That's exactly what it is. Remember,
5:48
a lot of these people had no concerns. They didn't
5:51
care previously, but now that they feel like they can
5:54
use it as a political weapon, oh, they care immensely.
5:58
But look, I'm not naive. I've told you once and
6:01
I'll tell you again. I'm willing to ride these people
6:04
to the finish line. And they don't know this story
6:06
well enough to not get themselves in trouble. And that
6:09
goes for both sides, because if you think this is
6:12
a one sided issue, you have not been paying attention.
6:15
Because the writing's on the wall. It's obvious what's going on,
6:19
and it's rather obvious that nothing is ever going to
6:22
come of this. Nobody's going to go to prison. I mean,
6:25
the Republicans didn't even have the time to go and
6:28
sit when Wexner was sitting to be deposed, but sure
6:31
they care so much. And then of course the Democrats
6:35
they didn't ask any real questions, and the investigators either.
6:41
It's all a dog and pony show. And if it
6:43
wasn't for the discharge petition, forget it, we would have nothing,
6:52
Wexner said. One female member of Congress looked at her
6:55
phone during the deposition, then left the room roughly ten
6:58
minutes into questioning. Sneer said he initially thought she was
7:01
leaving to find a bathroom, but later learned she had
7:04
gone to a nearby pizza shop for a press conference.
7:07
She got up, and she went about a mile away
7:09
to a neighborhood pizza place and had a press conference
7:12
and never came back. Wexner said, well, she's still a
7:16
step ahead of the Republicans who never showed up in
7:18
the first place. Oh, they all showed up for the
7:21
Clinton hearing though, right, photo op time, the whole thing,
7:26
and how they do there, that's right. They shit the
7:29
bed too, almost like it's on purpose, almost like both
7:33
sides don't want anything to come of this. And look,
7:36
I know that's not profitable to say, but I don't care.
7:39
I'm not here to be some kind of internet influencer.
7:41
I don't give a fuck. That's why I'm not out
7:43
here selling you dick pills and a whole bunch of
7:45
other nonsense. Wexner did not identify the lawmaker by name.
7:50
Representative Robert Garcia, the committee's ranking Democrat, attended the deposition
7:55
with Representative Jasmine Crockett, Yasmin and Sorry, Stephen F. Lynch,
8:01
Rashida Talib, and Dave Min. Wexner appeared to be referencing Ansari,
8:06
who did hits for CNN and MS Now in the
8:09
middle of the deposition. That's ridiculous. Why is she doing that?
8:13
Why are you turning into something that it shouldn't be?
8:17
And everybody wants to be the main character, right And
8:20
how much time has been wasted asking repetitive questions a
8:24
whole hell of a lot. And at this point I
8:26
have to wonder if both sides are working together behind
8:28
the scenes to keep the water muddy. A spokesperson for
8:32
ANSORRY did not respond to a request for comment. Crockett
8:36
is audible in the recording of the deposition asking a
8:39
question of Wexner nearly two hours in. The other Democratic
8:43
lawmakers who attended the deposition joined an sorry for the
8:46
press conference. They told reporters that they were not entirely
8:50
convinced of Wexner's innocence, saying they struggled to believe so,
8:54
and so entangled with Epstein could have been oblivious to
8:57
his illegal activity. T LIB was not present at the
9:01
press conference. Well, I don't think they're wrong about that.
9:05
I think that it's obvious that Les Wexner and Jeffrey
9:10
Epstein were at the very least entangled financially. And if
9:15
Jeffrey Epstein was committing one crime financially, okay, one crime,
9:20
that was a Rico predicate, then everybody that was sending
9:24
or receiving money from his account should have had their
9:26
accounts frozen just like the rest of us. But no,
9:33
that was never going to be the case. So once again,
9:36
these lawmakers, they're beating around the bush. They're not even
9:40
getting to the meat and potatoes of the issue. Have
9:42
you heard one of these dunces ask somebody about Rico.
9:47
Notice they don't ever talk about it, right, like it's
9:49
the plague. Ask yourself why Lingering questions about Epstein and
9:54
sustained public outcry over the federal government's handling of records
9:58
related to his crimes have been in a weak spot
10:00
for the Trump administration and a focus for congressional Democrats.
10:05
All about politics, baby, right, all about politics. Where were
10:09
all these democrats just a few years ago? And don't
10:13
say that it, No, they most certainly did. The whole
10:17
entire pussy hat population. They avoided this topic like the plague.
10:21
When Glenn Maxwell was on trial, nobody was showing up
10:24
to support the girls. Where was all the support? Where
10:28
were people using their platforms to support them? I'll tell
10:31
you where. They didn't care. They thought that this was
10:34
some vast right wing conspiracy. Well, guess what what do
10:39
you think now? And sometimes you're going to hear uncomfortable
10:42
information and you're gonna want to say, look, no way,
10:45
there's no way that's real, there's no way that's true.
10:48
My side, quote unquote would never take part in that
10:52
kind of like what we're hearing about over in the UK. Now, look,
10:55
if that was just some report written by Rupert Lowe
10:59
and we had no survivor accounts of what occurred, then
11:03
I would say, yeah, you could look at that and say, Okay,
11:06
this is a bit political and they're just trying to
11:09
stir the pot. But one thing that I've learned is
11:13
when you have this many people coming out telling basically
11:16
the same story, we should probably listen. Now, that doesn't
11:20
mean that everybody's telling the truth, and that doesn't mean
11:23
that everything that you're going to read or hear it
11:25
is true. But I think that when we're talking about
11:29
something as serious as the allegations and that inquiry, I
11:34
think everybody should at least do themselves the solid of
11:38
actually looking at it right and going through it. I
11:41
would not rely on the same people who told you
11:43
that Jeffrey Epstein was nothing more than a conspiracy theory
11:46
for years. And that's the point I'm trying to make.
11:51
Don't let other people color your opinions. If you think
11:55
something is unjust, or you think something is out of bounds,
12:00
and it might not align with your politics, it's okay.
12:04
You don't have to be an absolutist with your politics.
12:07
You're allowed to have varying opinions and hold different beliefs.
12:12
And just because some newscaster or some influencer tells you something,
12:15
that doesn't mean you have to dance to their tune.
12:18
Progressive lawmakers have repeatedly accused the Department of Justice of
12:22
withholding records and failing to fully account for Epstein's relationship
12:26
with powerful figures. Wexner, for his part, has long denied
12:30
he knew anything about Epstein's criminal behavior. On Wednesday, he
12:34
repeated those claims and said Epstein had deceived him, casting
12:37
himself as a victim of the financier's fraud. Here we
12:41
go less Wexner as a victim, and I'm sure those
12:44
Republicans that didn't even bother to go talk to him
12:46
feel the same way. You know, after he donated what
12:50
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to the Republican Governor's Association.
12:55
I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. Right. Everybody,
12:59
I'm sure hired somebody or knew somebody that they wish
13:01
they'd never met. And in this case, it was very
13:04
painful financially. And then because of his social habits which
13:07
I never saw. He said, Well, that doesn't jive with
13:11
what we've heard. Again, ask Maria, and we should probably
13:15
go back and listen to what Virginia had to say. Right.
13:19
Wexner also pointed to a question about his campaign contribution
13:22
to US Senator John Husted as evidence that lawmakers were
13:26
seeking political fodder. The sound bite was later used by
13:29
whose Stead's opponent in his upcoming Senate race, former Ohio
13:34
Senator Sharrod Brown, to Tye Houston. To Epstein's circle, Wexner
13:39
suggested he believed the question had been a setup. My
13:42
friend said, they asked you that specific question because they
13:45
wanted it for a commercial. He said they wanted to
13:49
get it because they were going to use it in
13:51
a campaign commercial, which Sharrod Brown is using. Well, that's
13:55
how politics works. Are we really going to act like
13:59
the Republics wouldn't do the same thing. I'm not saying
14:03
I agree with it, but the cats out of the bag.
14:06
What I agree with or what I don't agree with
14:08
doesn't matter. This is now the battlefield, and everything is
14:13
hyper politicized to a point where nothing's gonna get done.
14:19
Brown's campaign spokesperson Lauren Chow pointed to more than one
14:24
hundred and sixteen thousand Wesner had donated to Whostead's campaign
14:27
in a Thursday's statement. Just last year, he took a
14:31
maximum donation from Epstein's co conspirator, and weeks later voted
14:35
to block the release of the Epstein files. Chow wrote,
14:38
the record is clear. Wexner said the skepticism from lawmakers
14:43
was unfair and maintained that the committee staff already knew
14:47
most of the answers to their questions. Yeah, the committee
14:50
run by James Comer, right, the fix is in. I'm
14:54
getting tired of talking about this shit. I'll tell you what.
14:58
The Committee's Epstein investigationation has continued to draw in Harvard affiliates.
15:02
Last week, House oversight Shair James Comer asked former law
15:07
professor Alan Dershowitz to appear for a videotaped interview in Washington,
15:11
d C. On July ninth, about his knowledge of Epstein's
15:14
criminal activities. Oh yeah, another voluntary appearance. And it's all
15:19
happening with one goal in mind, at least from Comer's
15:22
point of view. Whatever it takes to try to exonerate
15:26
Donald Trump, that's it. That's all that matters. Nothing else
15:30
that on the other side, all that matters is trying
15:33
to pin Trump for all of Epstein's crimes. Meanwhile, in
15:37
the middle of the survivors are the ones getting shit
15:40
on again. But I guess that doesn't matter, right, as
15:42
long as you get your fix of political bloodbust. Earlier
15:47
that week, Garcia call for former Harvard president Larry Summers
15:51
to also appear before the committee. Summers, whose extensive personal
15:56
and academic ties have come under intense scrutiny since the
15:59
release of emails and records last fall, declined to comment
16:02
through a spokesperson. On the letter, Wexner said he had
16:05
nothing to hide and no fear of being questioned under oath.
16:09
Oh yeah, well, of course not under oath. It was voluntary, bro,
16:13
You're not really under oath. There's no penalties coming here.
16:16
Every single one of you people have lied to this committee,
16:20
and what's happened nothing, A little slap on the back
16:22
from James Comer, a steak, maybe a little bourbon afterwards.
16:27
They can all go get fucked. I'm done with all
16:29
of it. There was no question that I was afraid
16:34
they were going to ask, because there was no question
16:36
that I could be afraid of because I didn't do
16:38
anything wrong. Hey, Les Wexner, did you or did you
16:40
not rape Virginia Roberts. Let's get it on the record.
16:45
Wexner also said he was unlikely to testify before Congress again.
16:50
Oh well, he makes that decision. That's nice. Huh, fucking clown.
16:54
Now they should hit him with a subpoena test it
16:58
who runs this country? People like Wexner or the people
17:03
we all know, And it's certainly not the people you
17:06
have rotten cocksuckers like this that get to do whatever
17:10
they want for as long as they want, and there's
17:13
never any sort of repercussions. Never, And then to get
17:17
out here and give this kind of commentary and act
17:20
like you're the one that's being wrongly maligned and that
17:23
you're the victim. He's basically doing a victory dance. Bro
17:27
just spiked the football haha. I got away with it
17:30
and there's nothing you can do about it. Why don't
17:34
you guys chew on that shit until the next episode.
17:38
All the information that goes with this episode can be
17:40
found in the description box.
