- 0:11[SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, my bad.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_05]: I was stuck in my phone.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like there's I was stuck in my algorithm.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: You're stuck in your algorithm?
- 0:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's been changing lately.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, I cannot say you're algorithm.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's been it's been interesting lately.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: What's what's what is it now?
- 0:29[SPEAKER_05]: Well, now it's, well, it's always been a bunch of like bikers doing crazy shit on the street.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: That is, you only have a very, I would assume to be typical guy algorithm.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_05]: Don't say that.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the sides.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, no way.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have no gym shit.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have no, like, booty.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, like you grab your boyfriend's phone right now and go to his explore.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like there's certain signs of guy content that guys will have.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_05]: My bad.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not trying to put in here.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_05]: You are in trouble because this is like serious too.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_05]: Like if you grab any guys phone and you go to the explore page, you go and see what they're into.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fun.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_05]: What are you spending your time looking at on your phone?
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: The explore page of every person is so
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's she was so close your ass.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because if you're like as a guy, okay, I think as a guy you can have either like You know some guys hide their explore page like the reason why they don't want to give you Huh, how do you hide it?
- 1:29[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, it's like
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine you could lock it.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, they don't hide it.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_05]: They don't hide the explore page on Instagram, but like they'll never be on it.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_05]: If someone would be like, hey, can I, can I type in my Instagram or like, can I search something to go to the search page?
- 1:44[SPEAKER_05]: You got to go to the explore page on Instagram.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_05]: So, and then everyone hand off their phone because it's like, you're going to see what the explore page gives you.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_05]: So that's why I like people always just, oh no, I can just type it in myself.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_05]: What is it again?
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Bonnie, I didn't even remember.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: I thought of mine.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_05]: You could grab my phone right now.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_05]: See my sport page.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have a random.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_05]: You might have, you might see like one thing when it comes.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just kidding.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just gonna say when it comes to like putting, putting someone putting their username into your search bar on Instagram.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's like they can also see who you just searched up earlier.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_05]: What's the problem with that?
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, and it's like imagine you see like Drake.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, not that it's like a big deal.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know if you're someone that like you're wrecking us.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_05]: First of all, it's not Drake.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_05]: It's champagne pop.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_05]: That's why the way I just want to say this is like the dopest IG handle.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty legendary.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Is anyone of the someone probably has like champagne?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_05]: Whatever their name is, you know?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_05]: Shall I change my name to champagne, Yoni?
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: That would be funny.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably already taken.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Who knows?
- 2:54[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, my gosh.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: But I was gonna.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so let's do this guessing game.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna guess what I believe are some things on your explore page.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_05]: Why does this make me nervous?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then you guess and then you tell me if I'm right or not.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_05]: Shall I look at my phone?
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you guess you should look at your phone, right?
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you look at your phone.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_05]: I'm grabbing my phone right now.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so, wait, you're about to get up to get my monitor.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_05]: You're about to tell me what's on my X-Porpage?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_05]: You know what?
- 3:20[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so this is the messed up thing.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_05]: If somebody sends me a real, that's like about something.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_05]: Actually, not supposed to be like my X-Porpage will change.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_05]: It's not even my phone.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_05]: So if you ever see some weird shit, it's because my friends probably send me something.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_05]: And I opened up and I opened the real and I looked at it.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, what would be more fun?
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: Me trying to guess what's on your explore page or me just looking at it and telling people what is on the explore page I wish you look at like live vote
- 3:54[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I don't know.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_05]: You want to grab it and look at it?
- 3:55[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: What would be more fun?
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'll first I'll try to guess if I get like, we can look together, right?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll try to get.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Don't show me.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have, okay, you didn't mention like the motorbike like bike.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have it?
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like you don't have a bike content right now.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like you only would have like people writing bikes like mountain bikes on like some crazy trails.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_05]: I do have that, but not at the moment for some reason.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so you don't have that now.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a lot of basketball stuff right now?
- 4:26[SPEAKER_05]: I have basketball, but not a lot.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I always play off like already done.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_05]: I do always have basketball.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_05]: I assume you have some type of like, there's like a random girl here eating yogurt.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know who she is.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: What about like memes?
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have a lot of memes?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_05]: Memes?
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_05]: No, I don't have memes.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: No, like funny funny videos.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: You only also loves funny content like who watch this guy who always goes in the grocery store.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's always on your explore page.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_05]: Who goes to a grocery store and does what?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like leg hurts.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_05]: And then he goes into a grocery store and he would stand next to someone who's shopping and their cart is right there.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_05]: But then I feel like he always targets people who have like grapes.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so then he was standing right there and it'd be like oh My leg just just cramped up can I can I get a can I get a grape and then like blood sugar?
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, like my my blood blood levels are lower because when you have diabetes like if it's bad sometimes it's like your leg hurt some arrow.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so whatever, right?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_05]: So he just grabs a grape
- 5:35[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_05]: He can't even grab because it's so much pain.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_05]: So he's asking, like, you all can't please give me a grip.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_05]: And then she feeds him the great.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_05]: It's always like, and then he's like, can I get another one?
- 5:44[SPEAKER_05]: And the ladies, it's always the ladies, the targets, right?
- 5:47[SPEAKER_05]: He always like a woman who are like a little bit older, right?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_05]: So then she's like,
- 5:51[SPEAKER_05]: Are you okay, honey?
- 5:52[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, yeah, I think I'm all right now.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_05]: Can I get another grape?
- 5:54[SPEAKER_05]: And then she's feeding him like all grapes.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_05]: And then at the end he's like, yeah, I think I'm good now.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_05]: And then he was like, can I just get a few more grapes?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_05]: And then he takes it and just walks away.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_05]: The whole time she's being recorded, but she doesn't know.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_05]: So that'd be recorded by him.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_05]: There's someone else recording.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: that's probably just like standing on the aisle like it's with another cart and the cart has the camera.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like it's so good.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: You guys have definitely, I mean, I don't know, maybe it's not.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_05]: Is there this carving something on Instagram?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_05]: It's so funny, but it's almost like in the grocery store.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_05]: So, but then some people recognize it.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let me see what else because I'm like, I'm done guessing.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just, let me just look.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all need to explore a page.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: We have someone, is this a guy or a girl?
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Someone is like, let me turn the volume down.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're like doing some type of like hair style.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: But then open don't don't click on anything because I don't want I don't want to feed you have a guy doing pull ups off of a New York City stop sign.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_05]: I'm trying to get him my calisthenic shit.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, I see you we have some for real Williams.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: We have some soccer
- 7:01[SPEAKER_05]: There's always soccer.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_05]: You're always gonna find some good.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Kendall Jenner.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's not true.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's right here.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: A little Kendall Jenner video, but it's not that type of video you would even want.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like this is like I can't get ready with me.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see more basketball.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's like you have one of those videos that's like a slow motion.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like how can you destroy this ball or something?
- 7:24[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's like those experiments.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty tame, pretty tame.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, let me see what we play.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: Very random things though, like you have some AI stuff, Tyler creator.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_05]: Well, Tyler created this job to a new album by the way, don't tap the glass.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_05]: I think we don't, we actually, we should talk about that a little bit later.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't listened to it, so I feel like we should, we should hold up.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_05]: But let me have your phone roll.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, yeah, grab my phone.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: We have pretty standard, pretty standard stuff.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: A bunch of people running on a treadmill, DJ Khaled eating an orange or something.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_05]: I just ran them.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: Very random, but it makes sense.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, do you want to guess?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, oh.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think the explore page today looks a little bit different than usual.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_05]: I have something, uh, there's a lot of workout stuff here.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of workouts stuff.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people dive in doing some crazy jumps from let's move on to mine because I feel like mine is actually so easy.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, okay.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: You guess what you think I'm going to do a quick flip actually.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_05]: I won't do it because I already know.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: How do you know?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know where you're going to tell me what's on my storepage.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_05]: Food, stuff, food and and home decor.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_05]: But I could home the core, like a static living room, Pinterest, like, trying to find the cool living room vibes.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, you got that.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_05]: You definitely have some fashion girlies that you, that you like.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_05]: And then you have some running, not a lot.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_05]: Actually, no.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_05]: The running area is down there.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you don't have any running stuff right now.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're right.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: I have like, I would say, eighty percent is food content.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, eighty percent is food content.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have much.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: I have like a little bit of interior stuff.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: I recently got into
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: I recently got into like some painting because I really want to go to, oh, that's something that I meant to do today and I forgot.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to go to the art store and get our big canvas.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: Or maybe we can start off with like a smaller one.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: to do like a trial well we got to figure out what's up a page we won we're definitely doing acrylic like do we want to use acrylic there's acrylic paint and then there's oil paint oil paint I actually looked it up the other day is like not really good for
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why it's good and that people use it is because it dries quite slowly so you can you have a longer amount of time a bigger window to like change your mind with like decisions you make versus acrylic dries quite quickly.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: but that can also be good.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: But oil paint is like, it like emanates these like fumes and like things that you shouldn't really like, I don't know.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's more for like advanced people.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: So acrylics in general are easier.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I think we should put together like a mood board and color scheme and then see, see what we can come up with.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I actually have a lot of like painting, like artists on my, on my sport page right now.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: But it's that and food.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna talk about Instagram a little bit more.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I feel like that's gonna be like a good episode for the day because I feel like okay, so this is like for the oh by the way, welcome to the Worcestershire.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_05]: Alright, my name is Joni Kodo.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: And my name is Alia Zaita.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you forgot what you clicked on at this point.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, today we're just hanging out.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_05]: We have a we have a friend coming over later.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she, my friend from Seattle is coming and staying with us for like two days.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, we've just been like, you know, kind of getting the house all nice and situated.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, and I haven't really talked for the last
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny, we usually do this thing where like if we are to clean the house or something, we'll go back to Instagram to more.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: But if we are to clean the house or something, like, we'll both get in these moods where Yoni will like, put on his headphones.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I actually kind of like cleaning without listening to something.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it's nice because you get to think about just so many other things.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're having full-on conversations with yourself, fine.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot even tell you what I was thinking about.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: I just know that I was processing some shit.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I can just look at you and know that you're processing a lot.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: But meanwhile, I'm like vacuuming or like wiping down, you know, the counters.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_05]: I wasn't talking to either.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_05]: I had my headphones on.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_05]: I listened to a podcast and it feels so good to just not talk and also not hear anything.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, but back to Instagram, okay.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_05]: So if you're in a relationship and you ask your boyfriend or your girlfriend to, you know, you ask him for their phone.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_05]: Like, hey, babe, can I see your phone real quick?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_05]: Do you think that most people would feel like, like, oh shit?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I hope, I hope she doesn't go there.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_05]: I hope she doesn't go to Instagram and explore page because honestly, it's nothing.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_05]: It's probably no, there's no text, anybody is like hiding over there.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_05]: First of all, you shouldn't be hiding anything, but it's the explore page that honestly, it's not even.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even true colors.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, but it shows the true
- 12:52[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it just shows you interest and if you're a guy, I wonder if your entire explore page is like girls and bikinis and like booty.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, what about what about what if mine was like that?
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I wouldn't like that.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_05]: But what if mine was like that, what would you say?
- 13:08[SPEAKER_05]: Let's say you grab my phone today.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was like damn, like, that's what you're looking at all the time.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I would say.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then I would see what you would answer.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then we would kind of talk about it and talk about it.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_05]: And talk about it.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Never been the case.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_05]: No, that's never been the case because I don't know.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: And actually, I would know because not that I would go on your phone all the time, but like you're always
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, it's just, we have each other's passwords, like my free accuracy, each other's phones.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, my phone is like right there, right?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_05]: So now for the people who are dealing with that, right?
- 13:36[SPEAKER_05]: Let's just someone's listening to this and like, I just want to use the boyfriend because for some reason, I just feel like it's always the boyfriend that has no girls going to have a hell of like content of like sexy men.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, maybe.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: No, we got everything.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think so, right?
- 13:51[SPEAKER_05]: Well, you know, also,
- 13:53[SPEAKER_05]: Actually, I'm not even going to say that because I was going to say there's more like the only fans, type of girls who make more content because they make money.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_05]: So it's like, I'm not saying men don't make money off of them.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure they do, but I feel like there's just more.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have those like both ways.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's more demand and there's more products.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 14:16[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, okay.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm not even saying there's anything wrong with it.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, but I'm just saying I wonder what happens in the relationship when the guy got caught on quote caught by his girl.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_05]: And basically just discovered that while your explore page is basically
- 14:35[SPEAKER_05]: All of these girls.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_05]: That's all you.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's your algorithm.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: So is that actually a problem?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say like we're looking at your phone.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: You're showing me something.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: You show me a video.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but the moment you swipe like I'm showing you a real Emma algorithm is like something completely asked that you wouldn't like Well, I was gonna say like let's say you are on your explore page You show me a video and you like swipe back to the explore page and we're both like looking at your phone at the same time.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, just like laying in bed or whatever you show me a video and then we're just kind of keep looking at your phone and then we gone to explore page and you're just kind of scrolling and then it's like everything is kind of how it is now, but then there's like one how it is now what do you mean?
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: How it is now like on your on your algorithm as we just said you have like all those types of videos like random shit.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: And let's say one pops up that is like a girl that is like, you know, twirking.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: With like just like underwear on or whatever.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just be like damn it.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: How did this guess on how did this get on here, you know?
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: I would be kind of like a joke.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_05]: But that's like it's like innocent and that wouldn't be I wouldn't be like feeling any type of way now if but wait a second it's everything before you get to that I want to say if that ever pops up Most likely it's because of somebody one of my homies send me something yo men do that shit
- 16:00[SPEAKER_05]: Um, well, the friend group that I mean, no, but that could happen.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_05]: I got some, but got some, you have a lot of friends.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_05]: I got friends who just sent whatever, you know what I mean.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I can imagine like, especially because I wouldn't the moment you open it, it messes up your algorithm.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: But I was gonna say like, I would have, I would only send like a video.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_05]: of a sexy guy.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't even work the same way.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, women are just too beautiful.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: You can't even compete with them.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: You can't.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: You can't.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm sorry.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: No, hot guy is going to be as hot as a hot girl.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_05]: Period.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: Period.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm saying that.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm a girl.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: So don't even.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's like the, the, the woman's body is, is made by God.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's God.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: Godly.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_05]: No, it's beautiful.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I agree with that.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if I was a single gal, you're gonna say if everything was, remember?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Before we get there.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: If I was a single girl, and I was to see a really sexy video, let's say, of like a guy.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's like an actor.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let's use Jacob awardee.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's like a quintessential, I think everybody can agree.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's like a handsome guy.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, you don't like, you don't like Michael B. Jordan no more?
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: And he's fine.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: He's just like to like too much, you know.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's cool.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's cool.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_05]: I think it's after that, uh, the sinners that you disliked him a little bit.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_05]: Cause when a creed came out, you're like, oh, yeah.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean, that was always a good running joke between us.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was like, yeah, I got a candle dinner and I had.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_05]: You keep you keep mentioning candle dinner.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know why you keep doing that.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_05]: No, that's not true.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_05]: She's not okay.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: Who's your who's your celebrity crush?
- 17:52[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_05]: I'll use it.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: Stop.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, who is your celebrity crush?
- 17:56[SPEAKER_05]: Celebrity crush right now.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have a celebrity crush.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just celebrities like that.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_05]: My celebrity crush used to be Paula Patton.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I mean, I could long time ago.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_05]: All the pain.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like where she is.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_05]: I have a Google her or I don't follow her on Instagram, but if she still looks good, then she's still my, she's still mine.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: She's still mine.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_05]: Not she's still my crush.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but let's say I'm a single girl.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: I said my friend who's also single.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: A video of a guy that I think is hot and I'm like oh my god so hot.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say right or some shit I don't know but it's clearly like that video is No
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Just because you never thought to do that in my life.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I haven't been I haven't been single in a long time because that's another thing that I was gonna say is I as a married in a relationship woman would not send another friend who is also married
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: And in a relationship, a video of a guy who I think is so hot and sent it and said, look at this guy, he's so hot.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's like weird and like locate this respectful.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_05]: If you're out there listening to this and you are married, don't do that.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_05]: Don't you think?
- 19:20[SPEAKER_05]: I think that if you did that.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's different to look on the street.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I've never done that.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_05]: Well, see, it's not been married.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_05]: Even before I was married.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I'm not sending that to someone else and it'd be like, oh, bro, look, she's so bad.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_05]: Like, what is that?
- 19:37[SPEAKER_05]: Like, if anything, I send my friends like,
- 19:39[SPEAKER_05]: basketball clips, soccer clips, means, but like sending each other like, it just goes as married as a married man.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it looks, it's like weird on you.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_05]: It's weird on you, but even if you're not, no, you're a single guy is different.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, you're sending that to your friend to do what?
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know, but all I'm saying is,
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying, like, I've had this, I've had this qualm with, I don't know if that's the right way to use.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_05]: You had the what?
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: qualm?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_05]: What is that?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's a qualm.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a dilemma.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_05]: You just say dilemma, please.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a kind of like issue with something.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, when women that are in long term serious relationships,
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's one thing to have girl talk to me, the way that I did at the retreat, where we were talking about like different boys, like stuff like that, and all of the single girls were talking talking about all these different types of like situations, ships, stories of when they hooked up with this guy, and then they met this guy, like those types of things are cool, but that's like single girl behavior.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like the other way too, if it was
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: a group of guys and there's like single guys or guys that aren't really like in a relationship they're free to tell whatever stories they want about a girl that they were with a girl that maybe they were dating and like that's different okay but I don't know why I feel like once you are either in a long term relationship that you've been in for let's say three years or four years five years let's say you're actually even married to I wouldn't be
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: talking about men in like a space like I wouldn't be saying.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like I like men that are dancers or I wouldn't describe men that also don't align with who my husband is at all because I feel like that's weird to say like what if I was like oh, I'm really into like Italian men like
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: But that's weird to say when I'm married to you.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_05]: But what do you think about when some people say I had this conversation with somebody?
- 21:56[SPEAKER_05]: That person would show me a photo of a girl and this person that say has a girlfriend or wife, right?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_05]: It ain't really like a damn.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know, this, this woman looks good.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: that person who is in a relationship.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, tells me that.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: Show you a photo in person.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: And who is this photo of just random person?
- 22:18[SPEAKER_05]: This is a random person that he thinks looks attractive.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_05]: It looks nothing like his wife or girlfriend.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_05]: So my head, the first thing I'm thinking is like, but why is he doing that?
- 22:29[SPEAKER_05]: It's just like, just listen, right?
- 22:32[SPEAKER_05]: So then I'm thinking, the first and that came to my mind was like, she looks nothing like your partner, your wife, your girlfriend.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_05]: And he's like, yeah, I mean, so.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_05]: So are you into, he's like it, but then he did have a good point.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_05]: It's like physically.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_05]: You can be attracted to someone that's not who you're with because who you're with is not specifically because of the physical is because of who they are on the inside.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: True.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_05]: So you can very much like, David, you can date me, but then think that this other kind of guy, let's say it's like a wide guy with like a jelly in his hair backwards, tight white t-shirt, whatever, right?
- 23:18[SPEAKER_05]: And you can think that
- 23:21[SPEAKER_05]: You see what I'm saying.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_05]: You can think that that person is attractive, but that has nothing to do with.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm not agreeing with this behavior.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_05]: I do think it's like, you're doing too much, but that's just the point that my friend was trying to make.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_05]: Was that just because I'm with this person, doesn't mean that.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_05]: Doesn't mean that someone else was not of, you know.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying, of course, people are attracted to like a multitude of kind and types of people.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like you can be like you can find different kinds of people attractive.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: You can be attracted to this type of person.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_05]: But what we're saying is that just talk having a conversation about that while you're married.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say you are hanging out with a bunch of your guy friends.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: You have been married to me.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody knows who you're with that you're married to me.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: What I look like, what I sound like, how I am, etc.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 24:11[SPEAKER_00]: And let's see because they're having a conversation about
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: women for some reason okay and you let's say you're hanging out with some people that are like in relationships but that there's also some guys that are like single and for some reason you guys are like talking about like women and I just think it would be so weird for you to say yeah man like I love like I really love tall women
- 24:44[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be so just on the nose about the fact that it's like the opposite of me because I'm short or even saying like like
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: blonde women to me, I was so attracted.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it was just, it
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're gonna say that.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I don't know, basically say something that's so obviously like something you or the partner, this person is with cannot do.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_05]: But I don't be.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_05]: But I also think that it's okay for you to find something attractive that I don't do.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about expressing that in a group setting in a way that is almost like disrespectful with the person you're married to.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_05]: So if I'm in a group setting and I say I love women who can sing and have a beautiful voice and I and I voice that does sound kind of weird, right?
- 26:00[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, but like, does it?
- 26:05[SPEAKER_05]: And also me saying I love women, but I just say I appreciate that that type of art.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that's you're just talking about whatever we're talking about specifically what you find like hot You know Yeah, I would never I would even if even if I was like with one friend
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: and she's single, she's telling me about this guy, and then she says, oh, when he had these tattoos, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: And there's nothing wrong with expressing what you find attracted.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm trying to say.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like if you're in a relationship and if you are especially married, there's a line right there.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: Don't cross the line.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone in the room knows exactly what your partner is like in terms of like what they look like, what they this, what they that, everyone is so who they are that then to say
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: like that you find totally something very opposite of who your partner is super, super attractive.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_05]: And like, that's how you can think about it.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: And like can you kind of like drag it out and like say different things like that?
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's just weird to me.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_05]: If my friend does that, I'll be like, yo, chill, just relax.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_05]: Well, it doesn't sound great right now.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like it's weird.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I saw I just want to put out the app never like me and my friends.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have these conversations.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_05]: First of all, I don't even talk about like at this age.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I feel like I talked more about women when I was younger.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_05]: But now it's just like most of my friends are in relationships.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_05]: Most of my friends are married or engaged.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_05]: So it's like we talk about other shit.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: Other stuff.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's like it's very like all this shit we just talked about is like high school shit.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's just single shit.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_05]: I guess I haven't been single in almost seven years.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't I don't even know really like, you know, there's nothing wrong with it.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think that if you're single, talk that shit, whatever you want to talk about, who's high, who's not what's your thing, what's your type, like I'm not saying is anything right now, who's not?
- 28:18[SPEAKER_05]: Do you have a problem with, let's say you were in a relationship and I'm not speaking to you specifically, I'm speaking to you listening to this right?
- 28:28[SPEAKER_05]: If you in a relationship right now, let's say you and your boyfriend and some day you somehow find out that he's following a bunch of women from all over the world that he obviously doesn't know.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe some of those like IG models with like three hundred K and they have like
- 28:48[SPEAKER_05]: you know like would you like how would you feel about that like would you address him would you have a problem with that or would you just think like you know this is just IG like it's not really like I'm gonna let him follow who you want to follow but I know that he loves me like what's your approach it's over to save because like I'm lucky you know you've never really been like that from like what I know you don't know who I follow
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I don't, I could check.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Funny, I could.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so it's actually really hard for me to even answer that because I've never been.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: We've been together for so long and we've, that's never been an issue.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_05]: Now, let's say you grab my phone, you go to my Instagram and then you see that I follow a bunch of our GM models.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, just know you don't though.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_00]: And also I think it's different because you like are also photographer and not to say that that's an excuse to like follow like girls that you know post very like is very different is very different posting like IG models and or actual models that might be work to it or maybe that that that models that I do want to work with in the future that's very different and I feel like you do follow like a lot of those
- 30:02[SPEAKER_05]: No, actually not anymore.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_05]: Not as much.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe more.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_05]: Like I used to.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: But then I was like you're going through a follower following cleanse like yeah, no, I used to just follow a bunch of models and and that just models, but I think he's followed just a lot of stuff.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, I used to follow a lot.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I know.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_05]: Now, I just want to flip this around real quick.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_05]: On Instagram, if I grab your phone, I know you don't follow anybody right now.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_05]: You only follow me in the podcast, right?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_05]: Now, but let's say you did follow, like I don't know, two, three, four, five hundred people.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_05]: So now grab your phone one day and I see that you're following the bunch of, a bunch of Michael B. Jordan's right for the lack of a better terms.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: I just would never follow, like, people, I don't know.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_05]: I think I would have a problem with that.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: That would be so weird.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_05]: I would be like, okay.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I would literally ask you about like, why are you following on these guys?
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: That would be so crazy.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_05]: Like, what are you fantasizing about?
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, but what are they such a good question and it should be the other way around too?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, who are these women?
- 31:11[SPEAKER_05]: And why are you following them?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_05]: Like why are you like DMing them?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_05]: Because clearly the night you're not going to get a response back.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: We're also like different in the sense that we use like Instagram and social media is like work for us.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: To me.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't even know what it's like to actually use Instagram as a regular person.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_05]: You do.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't because it was a regular person.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: I would not use Instagram.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_05]: First of all, you are a regular person.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: You get what I mean, if it wasn't my job.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: If Instagram wasn't my job, I probably would never post.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_05]: No, but I know that when I met you, you never posted.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, and I, like, I would have to force myself, not force myself.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I have to, like, it's not something that just comes naturally to me.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_05]: One thing about Instagram is the moment it came out, I've been.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_05]: It came out before I was a photographer.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_05]: So I was playing basketball, but I have always been active on Instagram.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_05]: One thing about me is that anything that comes out, I'm going to be on it.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so I was only from the very very beginning.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_05]: I remember when the the the logo the app used to look like a TV.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_05]: I saw all the changes, right?
- 32:15[SPEAKER_05]: You probably didn't even have Instagram when you did.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I was in middle school.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_00]: I was an ape.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_05]: So and so I've always been active on Instagram and
- 32:30[SPEAKER_05]: So even, even if I wasn't my job, I wasn't a photographer.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_05]: I was always posting.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_05]: I was always interesting, like, you know, what's going on?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_05]: Like, what's the new update with it, right?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_05]: But when I met Alia, she, I don't know, I think she had like maybe six or seven hundred followers, right?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_05]: On Instagram.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_05]: And at that time, I'm doing photography, you know, I'm following all these models.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_05]: I'm shooting with models.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_05]: I'm doing, I'm just working, right?
- 32:57[SPEAKER_05]: So then I'm just like, you know, babe, like you gotta post some pictures.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_05]: The last photo you posted was three months ago.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_05]: You know, when you follow somebody, then you see last photo and then you see like the year before.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm following that.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_05]: You're talking about that later, but so Elliot wasn't really posting.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_05]: So then she started to like post because I think she's so how I was into Instagram.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_05]: That she was like, let me post is like in this series.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_05]: Let me wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_05]: You were posted like this mysterious photos.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I got it.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would ask my sister like, you'll take this photo.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I would ask her like to take them with the DSLR Sony.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Sony camera that I had.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_05]: After we met you started to post.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like trying to do the like like a shoot like make them like a shoot, you know.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny because if you scroll back, if I answer again, like those photos are still there.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: And what's funny is, too, is that Yoni is to do this thing when he didn't shoot on film yet.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: So at the time, he had like all these apps that he would like edit.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_05]: I had a million apps to make any photo look like film.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: yeah and then there was this app that you could like add um like texture mm-hmm and it like like dust on the screen and that was like a thing right and I remember asking him then like what like what app did you use you know blah blah blah I started adding like grain to every freaking photo that I posted and it was always like I asked my sister like oh come in my room like let's take some
- 34:33[SPEAKER_05]: Like, why would you ask that?
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's so cringe.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_05]: And then she would take photos of me.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she would take photos of me now.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: I would try so hard to be like hot.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I wasn't like, I wasn't taking photos like hot photos.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you never did that.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, I just wanted to look attractive.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: Right, but like attractive with my clothes on that makes sense.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, no, no, I get it, but then also I feel like so at the time my IG name used to be Yony vision right so why oh and I Vs and right because it's like Yony and then vision you see the vision right.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm saying right.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: He said right like six times.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, my bad damn.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so In vision right.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_05]: Oh
- 35:21[SPEAKER_05]: And so I feel like your photos back then, the style used to kind of be like my style a little bit, because like I would never post like my full face.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_05]: It would always be like a silhouette.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_05]: Like you would always do that.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_00]: I was just trying to like, oh, it's so cringe.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_05]: Like the photos used to be very dark.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_05]: Like my photos, it was like dark maybe with flash, but it's always like a dark thing.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
- 35:48[SPEAKER_05]: And it was I'm glad I grew that.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't it crazy?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_05]: No, I agree.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like you would never shoot photos like that now.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_05]: Never.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, now like I remember when I changed my name from the only vision to at Yoni.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_05]: He called it.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_05]: That was like the rebrand.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_05]: That was like the crazy rebrand like like a twenty-twenty, right?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_05]: Um, and that's when I was like, okay, I'm gonna do this like more seriously.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_05]: It was it was it was
- 36:13[SPEAKER_05]: It was a fun time, I love Instagram.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_05]: Honestly, like I always say this, like people always talk shit about Instagram, but I think, and I remember saying this multiple times, I never want Instagram to go away because it's, you know, all the people who have bad relationships with Instagram, right?
- 36:30[SPEAKER_05]: When you really think about it, it's who you follow.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_05]: So if you keep seeing, if you keep seeing things that make you feel insecure, if you keep seeing things that make you jealous, or like, oh, Dan, like, this couple, one of the vacation that we are doing there, or just shit, that's bad for you, or your relationship.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_05]: You keep comparing yourself to everybody else.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_05]: That's a very normal thing.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think when people say that.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_05]: Wait a second.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_05]: So I think if you just go through your following lists, look at the people you follow.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_05]: If they're living a crazy lifestyle, like why do you... If it doesn't bother you, then cool.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_05]: If you get inspired by that, amazing.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_05]: Follow more of that.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_05]: But if you're looking at that stuff and it doesn't make you feel good, it keeps you comparing yourself to whoever that is, then I would say just unfollow.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_05]: And honestly, I feel like your experience on Instagram would be much better.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: Now, coming from someone that has not followed anyone on Instagram in the last, I want to say three years, okay?
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: I do not think what you just said applies anymore because even to what you just said, having a bad relationship with Instagram.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: because I don't follow anyone and I still follow everyone because the explore page
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: has gotten so smart in a way annoyingly because sometimes it shows me too much of some shit that I'm like, I don't want to see this.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: I clicked on this once and now everything is this thing.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_05]: You can click on one thing one time.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, or just even a couple of times like the I've reset, if you don't know this, you can actually reset your algorithm or not, you're not your algorithm.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_00]: You can reset your suggested content on Instagram.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: If you go to your settings and you scroll down to I think it's a tab that says what you see and then you click on it and then it's like you can like you can type in words of like things maybe you never want to see content about it could be like
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know like the color blue some random shit like that.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you know and there there's also an option where you can reset suggested content and it's something that says like oh, you can't undo it whatever will trust me you want to do that shit.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: I've done that like
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: almost ten times at this point, honestly.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: I should do it now because I'm like, there's so much food content like I don't only want to see food, you know?
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: So you reset it and then your explore page is gonna be just kind of like random whatever.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_00]: And it's nice because then nothing on your explore page really makes you want to click.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_05]: Do you know by heart how to get to that spot?
- 39:18[SPEAKER_05]: Cause I don't know, okay, so where is it?
- 39:20[SPEAKER_05]: For someone who's trying to do this right now?
- 39:22[SPEAKER_05]: Grab your phone?
- 39:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_05]: To all the fellas out there who got crazy explore pages, okay?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_05]: Do this.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: or with to anyone who like doesn't want to be because the reason why I do this is because when I can find when I can find myself being on my phone way too much even if I don't follow anyone my sport page is made for me so it's gonna show me whatever I've been looking into for the last couple days it even like today so it just like because I don't follow anyone I just go to the explore page and then whatever I see is like
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: whatever I've been looking into so then easily I can click on this video that I can click on that then oh what else what else you know okay so you go on using it anyways right even if I don't follow anyone I'm still gonna use my phone and it's still gonna give me content that I am looking for therefore I'm addicted to like I will continue to be on my phone no matter if you follow someone or not
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, that's why you go to your profile, so you're looking at your profile page right now.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're grid.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: You see your post, your followers, your following, all that stuff.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_05]: I'm doing that right now.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: So you go to the three lines at the top, which is your settings and activity.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then you scroll down to, uh, let me see, content preferences.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_05]: content preferences.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's after favorites, muted accounts, content preferences.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: You see it?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_05]: Do you scroll down a lot or is it scroll down quite a bit?
- 41:01[SPEAKER_05]: It's all the way to the bottom.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: No, not all the way to the bottom, like it's kind of halfway.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_05]: Close friends, blogged, hide story, content preference.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_05]: See, I don't have that.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's under what you see.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's content preferences.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_05]: You have never been on this long Instagram.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: And then the next thing is like interested sensitive content, political content, not interested specific words and phrases.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: So this is where you can basically like
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: right and decide what are the things that you want to see and don't want to see.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then at the very bottom it says reset suggested content.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: And you click on that.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then it says want a fresh start.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: We suggest posts, reels, and other content based on factors like who you follow in your activity.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: For me, it's suggested it based on activity alone.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: You can reset to see something new.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: This won't delete your data.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: We'll still use it to personalize your experience in other ways and for the purpose of blah blah blah.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: So the data of what you've looked into before is still there.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: So eventually, your algorithm will somehow get to shit that you like.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: It happens all the time.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like you reset.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say I reset my reset my content right now, right?
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's loading.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_00]: So now if I go to my Explorer page, let me reset that, you have to like, freshen it up.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so I have all types of random stuff.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so we know how to get there.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_05]: I got it.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_05]: I think I'm going to do that.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm saying is like now my explore page there isn't much that I want to click on because it's not for me anymore.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: So it is a way where like I do that and then I'm like, oh, okay, there's like nothing for me to look at.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then for the next like several times you're going to open your Instagram and you go to the explore page.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be shit that you just, you're like, I'm not interested in this.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_00]: Guess what?
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to close your phone.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's my problem.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: So my problem with Instagram is not like my relationship with the content itself.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's not that I'd say I see girls that are really pretty or that I compare myself to or I see like beautiful houses that people have that I don't.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's like old school Instagram relationship.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, but let's acknowledge that some people still have that.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, facts.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's true.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: The picture is still very much alive.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: I just mean more like I think it's a lot.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's much more like big picture.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's problem with Instagram and we're talking everybody including kids.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of the same with TikTok.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's just so addicting to be on it.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's so addicting.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_05]: It's insane how, how many times did they do pick up your phone just randomly?
- 43:56[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I would pick up the phone sometime to look up like to find a photo that I either want to send to somebody.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: But you're going to scream.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm going to go.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_05]: No, sometimes I'm like, like, I just don't know if I'm to see to see what.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know why I'm going.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's the only thing that I end up with.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I'm going.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_05]: I open up Instagram.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_05]: It's like a different world, right?
- 44:18[SPEAKER_05]: I go to Instagram.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm just, I'm just like, it's almost like the jumping in the water and see what happens.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: What's going to happen?
- 44:26[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: And you'll be drowning, not drowning, but like, you'll be in the water for a minute.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_05]: I want to say real quick, speaking about this right now.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_05]: one of my favorite Instagram pages of all time.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of like a recent thing that I really been on and I don't like I actually really like this page.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_05]: It's called creative learning three D. Okay.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_05]: creative learning, it's like this page that they show you the most random things and they explain to you how this happens.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_05]: So they tell you like this person, this person got their rings stuck on their fingers for for for for twenty years and this happened.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: Or okay.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a three D rendition of what happened.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_05]: So I think there's a multiple, there's different kinds of
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: This is your favorite page on Instagram.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_05]: It's one of my favorite pages because it's so interesting like they tell you about just random facts about the world and nature and the human body or like what happens when like let's say like what happens with this one right here says what happens when you swallow an airport?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_03]: No shit.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't know if a lot of it is factual, but it is really like entertaining.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_05]: And I think most of it is true.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_05]: This is one of my favorite IG pages, creative learning, three-day.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_05]: If you know this page, you know what I'm talking about.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_05]: If you don't know, look it up.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_05]: And this is the time I show that I would like to just like watch everyone in the wild.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's so crazy how Instagram is like.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_05]: But whole world.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_05]: I mean true.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_05]: I said right and I was trying to take it back but I couldn't.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm just thinking how like I'm one of those people that my job is on Instagram.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_05]: What is what kind of what kind of people do you like to follow?
- 46:24[SPEAKER_05]: Like what kind of is it?
- 46:26[SPEAKER_05]: And I'll tell you this is just a silly example.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't follow people like it's whatever is on my for you page and usually
- 46:35[SPEAKER_05]: Do you like to follow the fashion people, the interior design, cooking, like what do you mean?
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: It depends on the searching.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: Because I, I'd be using Instagram as a search engine too, like quite often.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: If I want to see like, I don't know, chicken recipe.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_05]: Go to Instagram.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go to Pinterest first, but then I'll also go to Instagram sometimes.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: Just like, and then I go to the Reels tab and I just see like, it's nice to see videos of the recipe.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: Just to see like how many steps does this take?
- 47:04[SPEAKER_05]: When you search, you know how when you go to, when you go to Instagram and then you search something, right?
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can't wait the way they did that show now.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_05]: It tells you like you can search anything, but then it has the AI thing.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_05]: Like I never used the AI thing.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's annoying.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's like in the way.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_05]: Like why is it there?
- 47:21[SPEAKER_05]: I don't want to use anything AI.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_05]: Like so I want to use that.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go to chat GPT.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: Chargipity.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: Chargipity.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think yeah Instagram is crazy and I'll but I love it because I have it too.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_05]: Huh?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't say that you did then.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just talking for me right now that I enjoy Instagram and I went on a huge on a unfollowing like a like a cleanse and feel so good because I used to just follow so much is random shit.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_05]: For no reason.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_05]: I used to follow a friend that I haven't talked to in ten years.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I'm sorry, bro.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's like the random the random stuff that you're talking about.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's more like you would follow like a lot of pages that show you like football.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I mean, I have a like a dilemma.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_05]: It's not really a dilemma, but this is what's happening right now is I'm happy with the people that I follow right now.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of people, most of the people are the people that I found that that I am that I met here in New York.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_05]: Different creators, different artists, different designers, whatever.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_05]: And these are the type of people that I want to follow because I, you inspire, like they inspire me.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_05]: I want to see their work.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_05]: I want to support and
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: All you follow.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_05]: I wasn't done.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_05]: So that's some of the people.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_05]: And then the other category is people that I want to school with.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_05]: Some people that I want to high school with.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_05]: Now here is the problem with that.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_05]: Those are all the people that I want to unfollow.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_05]: There's a few people that I want to high school with that I would never unfollow because those are actually I considered them lifelong friends.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_05]: You know, we don't talk every day.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I love, I want to see how your life is going.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_05]: It's beautiful to see, oh, wow, like, such and such, like, just had a kid, you know, let's DM him, congrats to you.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: But there are people in that same category.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_05]: But there are some people in that same category that I don't know why I even followed them in the first place.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_05]: But now he became such a thing that we've been following each other for so long that if I unfollow you,
- 49:34[SPEAKER_05]: It's like oh shit like like we got a really check like we got a like you only doesn't like me anymore or it's like people take it Personally, I never took an unfollow personally never I also that's a lot I don't take not following me personally because I don't follow anyone so I can't even
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think this conversation is not for you then because you don't follow anybody for business purposes which I mean yeah, I just kind of like been I haven't followed anyone except you and the podcast for the last three years I'm not gonna start following people now because then who do I follow?
- 50:10[SPEAKER_05]: Exactly.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then it becomes a whole like people will take personally the fact that I didn't follow them and I followed this person.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be doing any of that shit.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: So then it's like I can never even feel any type of way.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now if let's say I go to like an event this happened to me actually I went to an event
- 50:26[SPEAKER_05]: This happens to you a lot.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_05]: What?
- 50:28[SPEAKER_05]: What'd you rather say?
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't happen a lot.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, go ahead.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_00]: What I was, I know what you think I'm going to say.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_00]: What's that?
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: What I was going to say is I went to an event and then some people are very eager like I never I'm never like oh here's my Instagram like I never I'm not because we're work like we're we all do the shift for work.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_05]: I'm trying to just get to know you not your online persona but are you are you interested in their work that's also online most likely on Instagram?
- 51:01[SPEAKER_05]: When you meet someone?
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, later.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_00]: Just not when we're right there.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds the first thing that pops out of my mouth.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_05]: Not first thing.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_05]: I'll be crazy.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, nice to meet you.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_05]: What's your answer?
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: Some people do that.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_05]: Not be crazy.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_05]: Not enough.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_05]: People don't do that.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_00]: but at creator events, people do because everyone's a creator there.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: And also, I don't know, I just, I never, I just never search the Instagram, I never asked for an Instagram because I will never follow you anyways.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: So then, why would I ever ask?
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: You get what I mean?
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because then that would be fucked up.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm like, hey, what's your Instagram?
- 51:35[SPEAKER_00]: They put in my phone and then I don't follow them.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_05]: You screenshot it.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: They'll feel some type of way.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_05]: No, what you got to do is you got to go through the notes app.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_05]: And be like, hey, can you put your Instagram right here?
- 51:43[SPEAKER_05]: My wife and I'm working.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_05]: Something's wrong with my phone.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_05]: I don't have service here.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: Put it in the notes app.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, crazy.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: No, but what I was going to say is that I do that.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: Then get my Instagram.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then I feel like the automatic like, um, expectation is to follow that person right then in there.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: So then people will follow you at the event.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_00]: They'll be like, oh, what's your Instagram?
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then I give them my Instagram.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny because then they look at your Instagram in front of you.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like measuring you up in a different way.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_00]: First they obviously look how many followers you got.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_00]: Number one.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: Then they just kind of like look at your content, maybe look at like, I don't even know people look at like the views or anything like that.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_05]: That is crazy to do in front of someone at an event.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_05]: Put your phone away.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: But people be doing that.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, oh cool, like you did this.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you just went here or like whatever.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's like broke.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_00]: Can we just get to know each other here?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, they also like follow you then and there.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: But what's funny is later.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: Basically, when you don't follow someone back, the follow button is the blue button, right?
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it either says follow or it says follow back, which then tells you that that person is following you.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: And because I don't follow anyone, my button always says either follow, as in like we don't follow each other or says follow back, as in that person's following me, but I don't follow them.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny because then I can always see who's following me and who isn't.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_00]: Because if I follow Yoni and Yoni unfollows me, but I still follow you, I don't know you won't follow me.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: Because the button says that I'm following you.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_00]: But because I don't follow anyone, I can always tell who follows and who doesn't because it will say follow or follow back.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_00]: So if I meet someone in an event, which this happened and this person followed me right away and they were like, oh my god, whatever, we had what I thought was a great conversation I knew about their content before.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I was the one that walked up to them and was like, hey, I'm Ali, like, oh, you're content.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: I see it all the time.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: I really like this blah blah whatever, right?
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then we talked for a while, they asked for my Instagram, then they follow me, then they look at my shit, then they're like, oh, cool, you went here.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, blah blah, whatever, right?
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: Great combo.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_00]: a couple days later, they come up on my Instagram.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: I click on their on their on their video, right?
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then I click on their, um, on their profile.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it says follow.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_00]: So they don't follow me.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_05]: And how do you know, like, okay, let's talk about it.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I first I took it a little personally.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_05]: It took a person with you.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_05]: How can you take it personally when you don't follow anybody?
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and that was my second thought that I was like, I can't take it personally because that person probably checked if I followed him back and I didn't.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: So they're like, okay, well, I don't only want to follow her, especially because she didn't follow me back.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to unfold.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't even be mad at that.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_05]: You can be mad at that.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_05]: And now understand this whole thing, right?
- 54:55[SPEAKER_05]: It's follow follow back, whatever.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_05]: Now, I think it's kind of childish, which part?
- 55:02[SPEAKER_05]: just the whole thing.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, what?
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm everything that I just said.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, follow follow back.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_05]: Like, what do we talk about?
- 55:07[SPEAKER_05]: Do you like the content?
- 55:08[SPEAKER_05]: Do you want to follow me?
- 55:09[SPEAKER_05]: I don't follow someone for follow back.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_05]: So some people that I follow, they don't follow me back.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_05]: They might have never even seen me that I follow them.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_05]: I don't care because I followed them because I love what they're posting, what they are.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: What if someone that you met in person?
- 55:26[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I never follow people straight up in events like in person.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_05]: Because now I just want to be a little bit more selective.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_05]: I want to follow.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_05]: I have multiple IG accounts.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_05]: I have another IG account with that's like my, my Finster or like my, my.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not talking about the archive film page.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_05]: I have like another account to where that's where I follow you.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's my friend.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_05]: as like a friend as someone who I met at an event and you're really cool, but then your content wasn't really what inspires me, but you're still a very cool person.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_05]: I would follow you on my personal account because I think you're an amazing person.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_05]: But on my own account, I just want to follow.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_05]: Unless it's someone that I know from like a long time ago, it's like actual friend.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_05]: But like on that account, I just want to follow people that I work with, like a lot of work relationships I have on my main Instagram.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_05]: So like when I go to an event, people are asking, oh, like what's your Instagram?
- 56:34[SPEAKER_05]: I give them my Instagram.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_05]: And then this again.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_05]: I always, ooh, which one?
- 56:42[SPEAKER_05]: Um, I give them, well, it depends who I'm talking to.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_05]: Like, oh, that's kind of crazy actually.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it depends.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_05]: Like, if I go to an event and this person is not like a photographer or someone in my world, in my industry.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I will give them my other Instagram, which shall remain anonymous because that one is just like a small little Instagram that I keep for just
- 57:07[SPEAKER_00]: for this, and just to post whatever.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_05]: So, then if it's someone that's not in my industry or the has nothing to do, then I would follow them back on that account.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so like, Yoni Koto is like for work.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, exactly, but if I go and I meet someone and they're like, I don't know, they're like a designer that makes really cool stuff or maybe like another photographer or whatever, right?
- 57:33[SPEAKER_05]: Then
- 57:35[SPEAKER_05]: I would give them the Yoni.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: You can get it.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I would basically, what I was trying to say is that like following in person like that at events, I don't like to do that because there's this whole pressure of I followed you and you have to follow me back like like they just followed you and then in your in their head you're like okay, but are you going to follow me back?
- 57:56[SPEAKER_05]: Like that's the real thing.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I think when someone is like, oh, here, let me put in my Instagram.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_05]: No, the craziest thing is here.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_05]: Like, the grab my phone, I give them to them.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously, they type in their Instagram and then they follow themselves.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's happened to me.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_05]: Through my phone.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, I have no shame on following when I get home.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_00]: If I don't like, no, I have to follow like, well, right there.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_05]: Why, that's crazy.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to unfollow them with front of them.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: No, like, obviously not, like, obviously.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously not obviously like definitely not I will make sure that they don't see that I did that Okay, but I do it because I only follow two people if that two turns into like three five or some shit.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's like who are the other three?
- 58:45[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah
- 58:47[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like the whole follow on follow.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_05]: It's, you know, you follow what you want.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really matter.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: This Instagram is made up, anyways.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_05]: It is made up.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's great.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's great.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: But it's actually so real.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_05]: And it's a great app.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: And you show it is like the biggest Instagram page.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_05]: And you should use it to your advantage.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_05]: I met a lot of great people during Instagram.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_05]: Shout out to Instagram because I met a lot of people during the day.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, thank you.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_00]: Some of my first friends make work.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_05]: Some of my first friends here in New York, which are photographers I met through Instagram.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_05]: There's a huge community that I appreciate that came from Instagram.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_05]: Here in New York.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, do what you want.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_05]: Speaking of Instagram, if you don't follow me on Instagram and listen to this and you should follow me because my stories are like the best stories you'll ever see on Instagram.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he does post one stories.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_05]: Actually, that's not true.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_05]: My story is a very random.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: Which makes them fun.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_05]: Um, it's at Yoni, Ikoto.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_05]: Why, oh, and I. K. OTO.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to repeat it one more time in case you missed it.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_05]: Why, oh, and I. K. OTO.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_05]: And if you just now follow me and you never follow me before an Instagram shoot me at DM.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_05]: I will respond and we will talk and say, Hey, I just followed you because I just listened to the part.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_05]: If you don't follow alias it so it's at alias it's okay a l i a z a i t a oh, you know how to spell my name.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how to spell it fast.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_05]: I only know how to spell my name fast.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_05]: Why are we not a kill to you?
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but nobody will actually be able to spell that if you spell it that fast.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but you're surprised that I was able to spell you.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, but also.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_05]: Are you fast, Bella?
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know my phone number?
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_05]: Four, two, five.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_05]: I'll see you right here.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you can't, you can just be without.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_05]: Nah, don't give me more work to edit, apart.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_05]: We just want to keep this shit smooth.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, listen.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_05]: If you got to the end of this episode and you enjoyed it, please let us know what's your relationship with Instagram?
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_05]: Do you love it?
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_05]: Do you hate it?
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_05]: Do you feel like you should unfollow some people?
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_05]: Do you have a hard time on following old friends?
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like that's my struggle.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_05]: I have some old friends that asked to love them.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_05]: But like I don't want to follow them on my work Instagram, but I've been that was the first Instagram I haven't made so we're locked in Yeah, I feel like I mean there's a good twenty people I'm ready to like okay, and what I think will happen you unfold them and then what it's just gonna be like then bro you only thinks is all that Like I hate that I don't want people to think that like I don't this is just work
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like I'll follow you for my personal account It's all good, but I don't don't I just don't like the hurt people feelings that I know people be hurt But also I just think people wouldn't actually see that you don't follow them But what do I know you guys?
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_00]: What do I know my Instagram experience is very specific Yeah, but I do recommend just unfollowing everybody.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_05]: No, what?
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_05]: Unfollowing everybody.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_05]: No, I would never do that.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I feel like for work, I don't really need to follow anyone
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, great for you.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_00]: So if that's you, do that shit or if you do what?
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm following everyone.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, if they use Instagram for work and they're like...
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't need Instagram for work, like if they don't need to follow people to get paid, I don't need to network on Instagram the way that you do.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's important for you to follow people to make connections through Instagram for your job.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_05]: I just need to make the content.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_05]: But for me also too is very different because I'm just like a very open social person.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not trying to say you're not.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, you know, it's your account, do what you want.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_05]: But just if you have a bad relationship with Instagram and you're following some stuff that you, they're like questionable.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_05]: Just think about it tonight.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like that.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_00]: And also remember to reset your algorithm.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: See how that feels.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'll give it to me.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_00]: It will get back to where it was, but you'll at least have some days.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_05]: How you gonna say, make sure you reset your algorithm and trust me.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_05]: It would get back to me.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm saying like it always does because Instagram also remembers everything that you were on before.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like it's resetting it and it's kind of like a fresh start in a way.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, to me if it's gonna go back to what it is like.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's about the fact that it will take you off of your phone because you won't see anything that you want to see so then you don't click on any until it's back, right?
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually and then you reset it again and thought I keep doing it's a lot of steps.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like you got out of things you go down.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_05]: I couldn't even find this.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_00]: You do it one step after that.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_00]: You'll do it all the time.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_00]: All right, guys.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_00]: I need to go pick up a package downstairs before the mail room closes.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: So love you so so much.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for listening to today's podcast episode.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_00]: We really had no topic and somehow we found one.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_05]: We had, when we started recording, we didn't know we were gonna talk about Instagram.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, we actually just weren't even talking to each other and I was like, you know what, let's just see what happened.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_05]: She pressed record before I was even ready.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_05]: And then she was like, you know, when she pointed out the screen, it was recording.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, oh, shit, we love it.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_00]: And guess what, he was doing.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was scrolling on the phone.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_05]: I was scrolling, it's the guy.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's two thousand people.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's people that just like close their phones and that's it.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's people that feel like until they, they, they close the every app, they can't lock their phone.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm that person.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_05]: I have to swipe up on every app.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_00]: You're either one of two people.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: You either always have every app you've ever opened in your phone opened.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_04]: That's crazy.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_00]: We know when you swipe up and you just like can see all the videos open all the pages.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_00]: You're either that person that like if you were to delete them, the the back of the apps is like some shit you haven't used in months and somehow it's still there.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_00]: You're either that person or you're someone that like always has your shit close.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, like right now, if I look at mine, you can even open it when there's no windows.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: You want to see?
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: Just real quick to end this, look at this.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_05]: Wow.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_00]: What's the last, the last app is the New York Times.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then Airbnb.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, and then Omio, which is a European app for train tickets, which obviously, I'm not using here.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, I haven't deleted my apps and like, or deleted my windows in like three weeks.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_05]: Some graduations, everybody clap at a file here, right?
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you suck.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, bye guys.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_00]: I have to go get this package, so.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_05]: Can I just talk to the people while you're gone?
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_05]: I'll just leave it right now.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_05]: I just want to take a moment right here to thank everyone who's just staying here all the way to the end of the episode.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_05]: Honestly.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_05]: She's leaving right now.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_05]: She's looking at me.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_05]: Like, are you really still talking?
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_05]: Anyways, I love these.
