- 0:00Sometimes a soul is born into the world with a sense of a
- 0:03predetermined and destined path forward based on focus and
- 0:08determinations made in the prior lifetime.
- 0:12Such an individual, in some cases very early in life, may
- 0:16know things, may feel like he has already known things that
- 0:21come before his view, or may find life circumstances aligning
- 0:26to guide him in a particular direction.
- 0:29The awakened and developed psychic being can arrange such
- 0:32results whether the external personality and circumstances
- 0:37acknowledge it or not. In such cases the individual
- 0:41feels like he is re establishing a foundation built previously.
- 0:46Srioro Bindo in his poem Savitri, a legend and a symbol
- 0:50in Book 1. Canto one states quote.
- 0:54A thought was sown in the unsounded void, A sense was born
- 0:59within the darkness depths, a memory quivered in the heart of
- 1:03time, as if a soul long dead were moved to live.
- 1:09But the oblivion that succeeds the fall had blotted the crowded
- 1:13tablets of the past, and all that was destroyed must be
- 1:18rebuilt and old experience labored out once more.
- 1:24End Quote. An individual recounted events
- 1:29from his childhood. He experienced forces pressing
- 1:32intensely on his head on occasions as a young child, to
- 1:36the extent that at times he felt like his head would burst under
- 1:40the pressure. He recounted experiencing,
- 1:44during an illness that manifested a high fever again
- 1:48during his childhood, the sense of a body far wider than his
- 1:53physical form. He was drawn to reading
- 1:56religious and philosophical literature at a young age.
- 2:00He eventually faced certain external circumstances that led
- 2:03him away from higher education and a career path.
- 2:08He wound up studying texts and attempting to practice yoga on
- 2:12his own until he eventually identified a spiritual writer
- 2:17who resonated with his deepest sense of the purpose of his
- 2:20life. He stated that he felt like the
- 2:23writer was expressing for him on the printed page his own deepest
- 2:28aspirations, thoughts, and feelings.
- 2:32He also noted that he experienced in dream certain
- 2:36significant meetings he would have in the future with
- 2:39individuals who would influence his life and direction.
- 2:43He recognized these individuals when they later came into his
- 2:46environs. When he reflected backwards on
- 2:50his life, he saw that situations, both positive and
- 2:55negative, shaped and guided his steps forward.
- 2:59He met people who aided him on the way, guided and supported
- 3:03him at times, and brought him to a realization that his life was
- 3:07already focused without his knowing it, even at the time of
- 3:12his birth, and that henceforth he was intended to live a life
- 3:17of dedication. He was moved by the bodhisattva
- 3:21vow of the Buddhist traditions, but felt that his mission was
- 3:25not to help others escape the world of illusion, but to
- 3:29transform it into a true expression of the deeper purpose
- 3:34behind the universal creation. His story is not unique.
- 3:40A similar story has been recounted by many others, which
- 3:44provides evidence of the deeper forces at work in shaping the
- 3:48creation and the individual expressions within that larger
- 3:52universal manifestation. The Mother recounted at one
- 3:57point how as a young child she received teachings from an
- 4:01individual whom she later recognized as being Srioro Bindo
- 4:06when she met him in person many years later.
- 4:10In the book Called To Heal, the story of an African shamanic
- 4:14healer who did everything possible to try to avoid taking
- 4:18on the responsibilities of a healer until she finally
- 4:23recognized that her health and her future depended on taking up
- 4:28that work. Her story shows the way her path
- 4:31was laid out for her and circumstances arranged in such a
- 4:35way that even when her external personality resisted, eventually
- 4:41the direction was set. Paramount's Yogananda recounted
- 4:47in his Autobiography of a Yogi how he was drawn to dedicate his
- 4:52life from a young age to spirituality.
- 4:56When he eventually met his guru, he came to understand that he
- 5:00had some scaras from past lifetimes of practice in the
- 5:04spiritual heights of the Himalayas, but needed to now
- 5:07turn his focus toward a dedicated work in the world.
- 5:13The mother observes. Quote If all goes well, if there
- 5:18is no accident, accidents can always happen.
- 5:23If all goes well at the moment the child is about to be born,
- 5:27the psychic force, perhaps not in its totality but a part of
- 5:31the psychic consciousness, rushes into the being and from
- 5:35its very first cry gives it a push towards the experiences it
- 5:40wants the child to acquire. The result is that even if the
- 5:44parents are not conscious, even if the child in its external
- 5:49consciousness is not quite conscious, a little child does
- 5:53not have the necessary brain for that.
- 5:55It forms slowly, little by little.
- 5:58In spite of that it will be possible for the psychic
- 6:01influence to direct all the events, all the circumstances of
- 6:06the life of this child, till the moment it becomes capable of
- 6:10coming into conscious contact with its psychic being.
- 6:14Physically it is generally between the ages of four and
- 6:18seven, sometime sooner, sometimes almost immediately.
- 6:22But in such a case we deal with children who are not children,
- 6:26who have supernatural qualities, As they say, they are not
- 6:31supernatural, but simply the expression of the presence of
- 6:34the psychic being. But there are people who have
- 6:39not had the chance, or rather the good fortune, if one may
- 6:42call it that, of meeting someone physically who could instruct
- 6:46them. And yet they have the feeling
- 6:49that every step of their existence, every circumstance of
- 6:53their life, is arranged by someone conscious so that they
- 6:57may make the maximum progress. When they need a certain
- 7:01circumstance, it comes. When they need to meet certain
- 7:05people, they come. When they need to read certain
- 7:08books, they find them within their reach.
- 7:11Everything is arranged like that, as if someone was watching
- 7:15over them so that their life may have the maximum possibilities
- 7:19of development. These people may very well say,
- 7:24but what is a psychic being? For no one has ever used these
- 7:28words in speaking to them, or they have not found anybody who
- 7:32could explain to them all that. But for them, often just one
- 7:37meeting is sufficient. Just one look in order to wake
- 7:41up one word suffices to make them remember.
- 7:45But I knew all that. This is exactly what happens to
- 7:49a psychic being which has reached the last stage of its
- 7:52development. After that, it will no longer be
- 7:56bound by the necessity of coming upon earth.
- 7:59It will have completed its development and will be able to
- 8:03choose freely either to consecrate itself to the divine
- 8:08work or go elsewhere, that is, in the higher worlds.
- 8:13But generally, having come to this stage, it remembers all
- 8:18that has happened to it and understands the great necessity
- 8:22of coming to the help of those who are yet struggling in the
- 8:25midst of difficulties. These psychic beings give their
- 8:29whole existence to the Divine work.
- 8:32This is not absolute, inevitable.
- 8:35They choose freely. But 90 times out of 100 this is
- 8:40what they do. End Quote.
