- 0:01The sun is shining out cloud in the sky. We wouldn't know because we're
- 0:07so happy inside. Some people on some skis, but we would rather sit
- 0:15on down and talk some movies. We're the Avid Indoorsmen. Come listen to
- 0:21our show. We're the evid Indoorsmen at home are on the go. We're
- 0:26the Avidendorsmen. We hope you love it, so come on in and stay.
- 0:33We'll do our best to make use my the indors Man. What is
- 0:41happening? I'm Rob Lundquist and I'm book and we are the Avid Indoorsman.
- 0:47Hello everyone, Hello, Hello, how are you sir? I'm doing well,
- 0:51buddy. Happy Easter, Yes, happy Easter. It's Easter today,
- 0:56it is. Yeah. I guess we just gave away. We gave away
- 0:59our recording. We sure did schedule. Did How was your day other than
- 1:03long? I'm sure yeah. I we were in San Antonio last night and
- 1:08so I was up by four am so I could get on the six am
- 1:14for from San Antonio to Hear and my wife and kids picked me up from
- 1:21the airport. I went to my folks right away. So I have been
- 1:26I have been going bro and I am currently very sleepy. So I'm gonna
- 1:34need a lot of help from you and our guest today. Yes, yeah,
- 1:38well we'll get through. We'll get through. Yeah, not like something
- 1:45super serious or something that's true. Yeah, we're not like doing Shindler's List
- 1:49or something. So the implications on history of all these things. I'm well,
- 1:57I made I am today and just knocked it out of the park.
- 2:01I did a great job. You are what you eat. That's what I
- 2:04always say, yaham. Yeah. I made gravy for the first time and
- 2:08it was delicious, cool, nice. Yeah, I did good. I
- 2:13did good, and I ate I believe it too much, which isn't unusual.
- 2:16So here we are. But yes, I'm quite well. Thank you.
- 2:22Good. Have you been watching any movies recently? I would love to
- 2:24hear about it. Yes, I went and saw in the theater Ghostbusters,
- 2:30Frozen, Empire. I am so jealous. Yeah it was. It was
- 2:36really fun. I had a great time. I don't think this is one
- 2:38of those like it's not a great movie by any means, you know,
- 2:43it's not. It's not Schindler's List, for instance, but it is just
- 2:46a ton of fun and it actually it works out really well that we're talking
- 2:51about it today because I thought they have a ton of like homages to the
- 2:57to the original two Ghostbusters, but I actually I thought in this one more
- 3:00homages were to the second one, maybe because this was the second of the
- 3:04series as well. But it was really fun to kind of watch them so
- 3:08close together and have a good time. So Yeah, Paul Rudd gets to
- 3:13like do a little bit more crazy goofy stuff in this. He's always so
- 3:16charming and great that Carrie Koon is really fun in this one. She's the
- 3:21mom of the two kids. She's really enjoyable. And McKenna Grace and Finn
- 3:25Wolfard really get to shine, I feel like in this one, and it's
- 3:30a great time. Man. I don't know. I really had fun watching
- 3:32this. I thought it was an absolute blast. It is interesting. It's
- 3:37kind of slowly paced for the first section of it, which I found surprising,
- 3:43Like it starts out really quick and then it kind of slows down.
- 3:45But I just thought was really fun. I had a great time watching it,
- 3:49and I think they did a great job. Did you like it more
- 3:53or less than After Life? Man, that's a good question. I only
- 3:58saw After Life the one, so I guess I don't even say, no,
- 4:01I think probably the same because I feel like I had the same like,
- 4:04I don't know, it was fun. It was fun to be back
- 4:06in that universe and hang out and stuff. I maybe liked it more because
- 4:11I felt like they got to we didn't have to establish some stuff. We
- 4:15just got to be with them as characters and stuff. So maybe even slightly
- 4:18more. But either way, I think they're both great. Cool man.
- 4:23Yeah, how about you? What have you been watching? The newest one
- 4:26I watched was one that I know you watch. We texted about a little
- 4:29bit. I watched the new Roadhouse. Oh nice, I was going to
- 4:31talk about that for streaming. So this works out great. So I happen
- 4:35to be done with rehearsals early and was super tired, so I just went
- 4:40back to the place and was gonna stream something. And it was the night
- 4:44that Roadhouse came out, So it probably something that I was like really rare
- 4:48in to go like a team Roadhouse. But it was just kind of right
- 4:55place, right time. It's way over the top, ridiculous crazy. There
- 5:00were some amazing, crazy cool fighting scenes from Jake, Jillenhall, and a
- 5:06maniac o Connor McGregor. He was absolutely crazy. It was fun. It
- 5:13was setting the Florida Keys, which was kind of cool since I was just
- 5:15there like a month ago. That's fun. The villains are so ridiculous in
- 5:20this that it takes me out of it. I felt like they were kind
- 5:25of they were kind of going for like campy, but then there were like
- 5:30really serious parts too, and I had a hard time just with like the
- 5:33overall tone, like are we being serious or are we being silly? So
- 5:40I didn't I didn't love it. Now had I watched it with like a
- 5:43bunch of dudes or something, I probably would have had a lot more fun
- 5:46with it by myself because what's happening? What is this? And I was
- 5:54finding myself like in the slower parts, I'm just like, oh, man,
- 5:57okay, let's just fast forward. Let's just keep going literally fast forwarded
- 6:00it through it. Oh that's funny, that's fun. Yeah. Yeah.
- 6:04So but dude, if you want to see Jake Jillen Hall just completely shredded,
- 6:09wowser. I mean, I feel like I feel like when dudes want
- 6:13to get like in shape, they're like, I want to look like Brad
- 6:16Pitton Fight Club. But I feel like now they're going to be like,
- 6:19I want to look like Jill and Hall and Roadhouse because he's I mean,
- 6:23it's absolutely insane. He's smaller than he was in that what was that South
- 6:27Pod South, but he's more cut, I think in this, Like I
- 6:30think he was bigger in that, but I don't know, maybe not just
- 6:34ring. It's just insane. It's absolutely insane. And I think he wore
- 6:40a shirt for maybe like ten minutes in the movie. I'd never own another
- 6:44shirt again. No, there's no and there's no amount of steroids that could
- 6:47ever make me look like that. There's just never just impossible, there's no
- 6:53chance, agreed, Just like I could work out every minute of every day
- 6:57for the rest of my life and I will never look like that. It's
- 7:00just crazy. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. It was
- 7:04fun and a little too silly for me, sure, for sure, Like
- 7:09I like silly, but I like it in context with everything else so jointed
- 7:15I did, and it was that was also ridiculous. You did, okay,
- 7:17I couldn't remember if we you know, we talked about so many that
- 7:20I could never quite remember. It was pretty recently too, it was just
- 7:24last year. There's a bear stuffed bear someone, which is ridiculous. Well
- 7:33ahead it coming. Uh. I had a similar experience to you, only
- 7:41I think I just went I was just like, I buy it, I'm
- 7:44in on all of it. I Well, I guess similar in that I
- 7:47was like, yes, this is this is an insane movie. But I
- 7:51watched it in the morning at just my fully most caffeinated and I really think
- 7:57that worked to my advantage because I had a fabulous time this nice. I
- 8:01do agree, like pick a tone and just go with it like that's fine.
- 8:07Yeah. I also think it's weird that we keep putting like cgi stuff
- 8:11in a movie like this, because it's like, do we need that?
- 8:13Do we need the like canoe that suspended over their heads to fall? Like
- 8:18that looked so dumb. Like some of the punching, too, was interesting
- 8:24one hundred percent in the very beginning. Yes, what is that guy's name,
- 8:28he's an artist Malone post Malone. Yes, that is one hundred percent
- 8:33not him throwing these bunches or not with them at least or something. I
- 8:37don't Yeah, like they had to beef it up to make it look good
- 8:39or something. I guess it was interesting what they were doing with the camera
- 8:43work, because it like it looked cool and then you'd be like, oh,
- 8:46well that wasn't a punch that was thrown. Yeah, I felt like
- 8:50they used a computer to make it look like they did. It was very
- 8:52interesting. The thing I did like, though, is they did like some
- 8:56point of view shots and stuff during the fights, and that was actually pretty
- 8:58cool. I kind of liked that that that gave it a different kind of
- 9:01energy, which was fun. But yeah, basically I agree with everything you
- 9:05said. Like Connor McGregor is insane in this one. Insane. I mean
- 9:11he must have been on every substance known to man or something, and I've
- 9:15been seeing interviews with him and people are worried about him. Yeah, I
- 9:18think he, like, actually legit has like some sort of drug issue,
- 9:22right or that's the thought or whatever. I really, yes, I agree
- 9:26that bad guys are crazy in this, But that Billy Magnuson guy, I
- 9:31really like him a lot. I think he's really fun. I like him
- 9:33a lot too. I didn't love him in this though. Yeah, and
- 9:37it was a tone thing again. I don't know why, but I was
- 9:39just like, in like, on board, whatever you guys got for me.
- 9:43She's so funny in game night, like, that's you're totally right.
- 9:48Yeah, enjoy It is different from that for sure, but yeah it's it's
- 9:52a stupid movie. It's not like great, but I had a good time,
- 9:56and obviously there's going to be more of them, so I guess I'm
- 9:58in there's gonna be more roadhouses. Yeah. Did you not watch all the
- 10:03way through the credits? No? Once it was done, I was like,
- 10:09oh, you want me to tell you what it is? If you
- 10:09don't want spoilers for roadhouse plug areas for forty five seconds, sure do you
- 10:15want to know? Sure, Connor McGregor walks out of a hospital and you
- 10:20see his bar ass again. I did see that. Actually I did see
- 10:22that, but I didn't know that that would mean that they I mean,
- 10:26it depends on how well this does. That is true. They set it
- 10:28up for more. I guess that's fair. But I feel like it got
- 10:31some good buzz because people were just like, this movie is insane. It
- 10:35was insane. There was some cool fighting scenes. It was crazy, yeah
- 10:39for sure, but yeah, nothing more than a silly good time. So
- 10:43yeah, check it out if you think you'll like it. If you don't,
- 10:46you're probably right, I guess yeah. Also shout out to Jessica Williams,
- 10:50who has had just a great career for herself. Yeah, from the
- 10:54Two Doupe Queens was it Two Dope Queens yep, and most recently Shrinking,
- 11:01which I yes, yes, but she started out with that Pocket. Well
- 11:03that was the first time I heard of her. And she's so great and
- 11:07she's in like legit big movies now and stuff. Yeah, it's pretty crazy.
- 11:11She's great. You're right, she was awesome and Shrinking too. I'm
- 11:13with you, big fl but yes, so that's what I've been streaming.
- 11:18What have you been streaming? I went over to Netflix. So guy Ritchie
- 11:22went and made a Netflix series on The Gentleman Man until you told me.
- 11:28I didn't know this existed, and I need to watch it. I haven't
- 11:30yet, you do. I'm excited for the listeners. He had a great
- 11:35movie back in twenty nineteen called The Gentleman with Matthew McConaughey, which again I
- 11:39was late to and I just watched it either last year before. Right,
- 11:45So he took a similar plot and was able to create some more characters and
- 11:48added a few more crazy things. Sorry, sorry but wow, Okay,
- 11:52sorry, go ahead, sorry, I no, I was surprised by that
- 11:56too. It's crazy, but yeah, he was able to just kind of
- 12:00flesh it out more and more crazy things that happened along the way, and
- 12:07it was kind of awesome. I was into it. The first two episodes
- 12:09were directed by Guy Ritchie himself, which was great, and they were both
- 12:15over an hour, so you kind of feel like you get your own Guy
- 12:18Richie movie totally. THEO James is the lead, and the first time I
- 12:24can remember seeing him was in the second season of White Lotus last year,
- 12:28but it sounds like he got started pretty young and was in that Divergent series,
- 12:31which I think those or something that was the Shylene Woodleigh one I think,
- 12:37right exactly, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, And I never
- 12:39watched those, so I wasn't familiar with him. But he's awesome in this.
- 12:45Oh great, he's I liked him in White load Of season two a
- 12:48lot, not like a great you know, you don't like the character,
- 12:54but he was fantastic as of my thought. So in this he's more like
- 12:58kind of like Killian Murphy and Peaky Blind, where he's like all about protecting
- 13:01his family even if it means doing some pretty horrible things. That's great.
- 13:07I really enjoyed it. It was eight episodes. It was wonderful. I
- 13:11was pleasantly surprised I might have to zoom through those at some point. That
- 13:16sounds fun, It's yeah, you'll like it for sure. Nice. That's
- 13:20great, dude, love it well, love be it? Should we do?
- 13:22If you plug a Rooney as well, we're living it nice. You
- 13:24guys can usiness. That's alwayso on the Twitter machine where we're at Avid Endorsman

- 14:18We do a top five draft that pertains to the movie we're talking about,
- 14:22and for this one, we did our top five babysitter movies, movies,
- 14:28Baby Baby, babysitters in movies, something dealing with babysitters and it's because
- 14:35of anti pots and Rick moranis in this and it was it was lovely.
- 14:39So yeah, yeah, that was actually pretty That was a fun idea.
- 14:41It was a good one, like one one that I think is weird that
- 14:46no one might be thought of otherwise we're pretty standard. Mine's pretty standard as
- 14:50well. Yeah, well we'll see. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe who knows,
- 14:54who knows, who knows? But we're here today to talk about the
- 14:58sea well to Ghostbusters, which is called Ghostbusters too clever name, clever name,
- 15:05And we decided we wanted to get one of our oldest pals in here
- 15:11and talk about this and somebody that we've known for a long time, No
- 15:13no, No, she's just quite old. She's a seasoned veteran of life.
- 15:20Please give it up for Kate slam Duggan. What's up, Kate.
- 15:26Hi, so good to see you. I'm so excited to see you,
- 15:31so excited to talk about what we're about to talk about. I feel like
- 15:35I've been made for this moment. I love it. I love it the
- 15:39energy you're bringing right now. I need to break, so I'm ready to
- 15:43rip. You are good to go. I love it. I love it.
- 15:48That's super fun. I also love your podcast that you two over there.
- 15:52Great question with Mia and Kate. Yeah, it's a fun little John
- 15:56into asking life's deep question, as well as some fun ones along the way.
- 16:02Yeah. I love it. It's a great formatt For anyone that hasn't
- 16:04heard it, go listen now, listen. You can get it anywhere.
- 16:10Maybe not right now because they're listening to Okay, yes, yes, listen
- 16:14to this one. That's true, at least this one, and then you
- 16:18can listen to it later, save them for your queue when you fall asleep.
- 16:21Whatever however you like, it's fine. Yeah. Yeah, one,
- 16:26lamb two, lamb three wait, sheep three sheep that was helping him today,
- 16:30were falling asleep to this? You know, I don't know how anyone
- 16:33can fall asleep to this. It's riveting. I'm still the side of myself,
- 16:38so I don't know what you're talking about. I love it. So
- 16:42I'm having a nice time already, and I think we'll continue to Uh so,
- 16:47go check out that podcast now, But we're here to talk about a
- 16:49pretty, pretty nice little film called Ghostbusters. Too ever heard of it?
- 16:55Yes? Okay? Cool? Cool? Rob? Will you get it started?
- 17:00With just a rough synopsis, I would love to here we go.
- 17:03After saving New York City from a ghost attack, the Ghostbusters, a team
- 17:07of spirit exterminators, is disbanded for demolishing parts of the city during the battle.
- 17:14But when Ghostbuster Peter Venkman learns that spirits have taken an interest in his
- 17:18son that's not even correct, it incorrect, the men launch a wrote ghost
- 17:26chasing mission. I clearly read this beforehand. The quest quickly goes awry,
- 17:32landing them in court, but when the ghosts turn on the judge, he
- 17:34issues an order allowing the Ghostbusters to get back to work. Nice. I
- 17:41don't know how I can believe any of that now, right, Yeah,
- 17:45it's not a same indignant like, this is we're talking about my favorite movie.
- 17:48Guys, I am he does say. He says, at one point,
- 17:52you should be my son been could have been that's right, but he
- 17:56should have been his dad, he says. I think no, I think
- 18:00it could have been your dad for daddy Thursday. Yeah, I think that's
- 18:04Thursday. Thank you, please get it. Oh sorry, I'm sorry.
- 18:08Also, I'm realizing that this is I'm like a callback that no one else
- 18:15knows about. Okay, great rotten Tomato. I thought about this movie.
- 18:23Critics have it coming in at a rock solid fifty five percent, so that's
- 18:27pretty graz We really went down from Ghostbusters one to this one. Audience members
- 18:33up a few ticks up to sixty one, so that's better it is,
- 18:37but pretty tough scores. When I jump in and I'm full of facts about
- 18:42this movie, I'm so sorry. Please. First fact is it failed its
- 18:48screen test. When they did like the initial screening, people were like,
- 18:52oh, this, this isn't at all like the first one because the first
- 18:56one was actually like supposed to be kind of scared with like on top,
- 19:02and then the second one, the cartoon had come out, so they had
- 19:04to like comedy, and people are like, this isn't what I thought this
- 19:11was going to be as a sequel. So did not make a good first
- 19:14run either. I knew they did reshoots, but so I wonder if the
- 19:18screen test happened before the reshoots. I don't know how they usually do it.
- 19:22I don't know either. That's fun, good fact to it. Full
- 19:26of them today, you are full of it. Love that. Well,
- 19:30let's let's go into what we think of this film, and let's go into
- 19:33our hot take. That's a hot take. That's a hot take. I'll
- 19:44go first. We're so late. I was waiting for the drop. We
- 19:49do you know I'm gonna put that in there. Yeah, yeah, it's
- 19:53fun. It's pretty neat. Thanks for listening. Uh So, I like
- 19:57this movie a great deal. It is funny though, because it had apparently
- 20:03been a long time since i'd seen it, because a bunch of the smaller
- 20:07plot stuff that happens early. I was like, oh, yeah, that's
- 20:10right, Okay, I remember that now. Like it took me a while
- 20:14to get into it. But I really like this version a lot. I
- 20:18think I've probably seen this one more even than Ghostbusters one, which seems crazy
- 20:22to me. But we probably had it on video or something. I just
- 20:26think it plays off a lot of the good stuff from one. They're really
- 20:29fun. We get to see the crew a little bit more in this one.
- 20:33We get to see more Dana in this one, and most importantly,
- 20:37Vigo makes an appearance in All of Our Lives, which we all needed,
- 20:41Vigo the Carpathian. So I love it. I think it's super fun.
- 20:45The music continues to slap pretty hard, which is great. Yeah. I
- 20:52don't know. I just I think it's just a great time. And that's
- 20:55interesting that they had to make a bunch of changes, because I think it's
- 20:57a pretty pretty fun and great movie and I loved it. I don't really
- 21:02have a hot, sizzling hot take. It also features my second favorite toaster
- 21:10in all of movie history. It was your first first one, the brave?
- 21:14Was it brave? Of course it is. Of course I loved the
- 21:21movie, it really is. Yeah, that's great. I remember I used
- 21:25to only watch like maybe the first half of it or something, or I
- 21:29would only watch parts of that movie because it made me two said to watch
- 21:32the whole thing. Very but yeah, brave little toaster pretty great. That's
- 21:37the hottest take I have Wow, it's hot, so hot, it's hot.
- 21:41It's hot enough to slightly brown toast. Yeah, you know, if
- 21:45it needs to please hi, Yes, I would like to say that I
- 21:51also really enjoyed this film. So this one, I told you when I
- 21:56was a kid, like, the first one freaked me out pretty good,
- 22:00like, so then when the next one came out, I watched this one
- 22:06way more because I felt like it was more kid friendly. And this was
- 22:12again directed by Ivan Reitman, who we've talked about at length, and again
- 22:18written by Acroyd and Ramis. I saw that Rick Moranis was not a writer
- 22:22on this. He was a writer on the first one. But yeah,
- 22:26it did feel like they were trying to make it a little more kid friendly.
- 22:30Even with the music. I felt like that was a big difference from
- 22:34the first one, Like when we first see Sigourney Weaver, there's this kind
- 22:38of cheesy like where we didn't really get any of that in the first movie.
- 22:48It was all like real kind of creepy and freaked me out. So
- 22:52I thought that was interesting. So it was all those great actors we loved
- 22:56from five years earlier. And I absolutely add that they made Janine and Lewis
- 23:02fall for each other. That was really perfect. Loved it. That was
- 23:06good stuff. Yep. And as far as sequels goes, I thought they
- 23:08did a really good job keeping the same form as the first one. And
- 23:15I love that they get the whole city involved toward the end and it's their
- 23:18positivity that ultimately takes out the villain, which could be really cheesy, and
- 23:22it is a little bit cheesy, but it's also kind of heartwarming and cute.
- 23:30But yeah, the hottest take is I was way more into this one
- 23:33as a kid than the first one, and I think now that I'm adult,
- 23:37an adult, I would switch it. Probably. I'm more into Ghostbusters
- 23:42one than Ghostbusters two. So that's my hottest. Oh and one more hot
- 23:48take, Oh boy, it is more for kids. And then we just
- 23:52have that like we're just gonna have Sigourney Weaver take off for shirt. That
- 23:57was a way out of place, I felt like, which was apparently not
- 24:02in the script either. Oh, she was just ready. She is just
- 24:04like that. I mean, it doesn't mean she wasn't talked into it by
- 24:07someone else. She was like, you know what I'd love to do right
- 24:11now? Take off my He's going to take off her shirt too. It
- 24:15seemed a little gratuitous. I was kind of surprised by it. Agreed,
- 24:18agreed, I was both. I took umbradge and I loved it. Difficult,
- 24:25super upset, but with you that we can't phone a friend right now
- 24:29because I'd phoned my mother. She still hates that and will say, oh,
- 24:33that awful scene with that woman taking off her shirt. IP, it's
- 24:41quite that bad. She's a crusader for the for the modest. Oh,
- 24:45that's so funny. And then I've told the story about my mom when we
- 24:51watched Interview with a Vampire and my sister was like, it was me and
- 24:53a buddy watching it. My sister was like, Mom, there's boobs in
- 24:56this movie. My mom from the kitchen just done with us, I'm sure,
- 25:02was like, do you guys know what boobs are? Yeah, shut
- 25:04up and watch the movie. Then, so we had similar moms. I
- 25:08think, yeah, pretty great. Wow, Wow, Okay, So anyway,
- 25:15hot take, but thank you, thank you. I'd love to heart's
- 25:18take, Kate, what's your hot take on this film? Actual hot take?
- 25:22Nice? I'm so excited. I expect to know less. This one
- 25:26is better than the first one. Oh, love of it hit me.
- 25:30This is I know people, the same humans who were grown about anybody giving
- 25:37Godfather three any props like this is the same, the same type of thing.
- 25:41I don't think it's as bad as Godfather three, but I think it's
- 25:44better because it's more well rounded. I think there are a couple of loops
- 25:48that get more easily closed in the like Robbie were talking about the template of
- 25:53same form, same you know, same process, and I think it it
- 25:59ties in really nicely to the whole, like it's a bunch of nerds saving
- 26:04the world. Like it feels good. I just saw the Ghostbusters four,
- 26:11what's it called, Frozen Empire Frozen, Yeah, and people were clapping in
- 26:15the theater when the music comes on at the end and it's like the Ghostbusters
- 26:19theme and you'd like you just wound up. I was like, yeah,
- 26:22this is great, So I like this one better. I think also for
- 26:26nostalgic when it hit reasons like I was old enough to watch it as it
- 26:32came out, not as a an older movie that came out before I think
- 26:37the year I was born. Total, So yeah, I think I just
- 26:40have more fondness for it. And the soundtrack slaps, y'all. Yeah,
- 26:45it's so good. We got we got yeah, so good. Yeah.
- 26:53I watched it last night, and I like to test myself to make sure.
- 26:57I probably watched this movie every six months. I understand that's excessive,
- 27:02but I like to test myself just to make sure I still know all of
- 27:06the rap words too, all of the tracks. So that's my take is
- 27:11it's it's my favorite compared to the first. If we're just looking at one
- 27:15and too hot hot, Hey, super hot. I love that. Great.
- 27:23Well, let's talk about our favorite acting performance. Shall we name the
- 27:26dude? I'm the dude, So that's what you call me, you know
- 27:33that, or his dude or duder or you know el dudo reno. If
- 27:38you're not into the whole brevity thing, Kate, who do you got for
- 27:41the dude? The dude for me is probably somebody that you I'm going to
- 27:45steal for your for your tucci. Maybe the dude for me is biscuit.
- 27:52If you are an Ally McBeal fan, Okay, I'm not, Yes,
- 27:57it's Peter McNichols. He Okay, So I learned this is another deep fact
- 28:03that part was written as Josh not yo. Yes, yes, he came
- 28:11in hot and was like, I'm going to do this whole like vaguely Eastern
- 28:15European thing, and like he's the dude for me because he like command me
- 28:21lord. Like that whole performance is just like this dude's been sorry about this,
- 28:26where I'm excited about him, but also like he the painting talks to
- 28:32him for half of a second and he's like, you are my lord,
- 28:34and I will do anything. It's like this guy was ready. Yeah,
- 28:45told him what to do. He runs the biggest, you know, North
- 28:51American museum and he's like ready to go to go to Yeah. Wow,
- 28:56I love it. Yeah, Nickel, I mean I was definitely debating it
- 29:00because he he kind of makes the movie and spoiler he did. He did
- 29:04get my two, so you were correct with that. I figure when Bill
- 29:08Murray's in a movie, I pick him for the dude just because I love
- 29:12Salid. I love him. So I felt like he didn't get as many
- 29:18like crazy one liners as he did in the first one, and it might
- 29:22have been because they were trying to be more kid friendly or something. I'm
- 29:26not sure. He still had some good ones, but yeah, it just
- 29:30yeah, and it was fun to see him and Dana rekindle their little spark
- 29:34they had, and yeah, I just love him. So he's pretty cute
- 29:38with the kid too, super cute. Maybe inappropriate with the kid, but
- 29:42you know it was cute. Yeah, steps into dad real quick. Yeah,
- 29:48yeah, Yeah, I love that. I had Bill Murray as well.
- 29:53I just couldn't see an He's just so good. I agree. I
- 29:56think he had less to do in this one, but I think that's partly
- 30:00a good thing because I think they gave everybody else a little bit more too,
- 30:03which felt good. And yeah, that Peter mcnicholl was definitely my teuch.
- 30:07So I'm with you nailed that one. No, I love it.
- 30:11Yeah, let's officially go to it. It was your two. It was
- 30:18easy for me. I had to bump Peter McNichols because I have a touch
- 30:22that's all day, every day, all day, every day. Harris Yulan,
- 30:26the judge, the scholar brother like that one. I hear that he
- 30:33was going for it. Yeah. I don't know what else he's been in,
- 30:37but I hear him with his hair shot out, screaming scholar brothers like
- 30:44all the time. In my head, he's my tuch, He's my like
- 30:48permatoge. That's what I'm gonna say. Yeah, he's got one hundred and
- 30:52thirty nine credits on It seemed like, yeah, one of those character actors
- 30:56that's been in every other thing you've ever scene. Yeah, that's fun.
- 31:03Yeah, like you said, I would have absolutely picked Peter mcnicholl. He
- 31:07was so fun. I loved all the broken English phrases that he was for
- 31:14my my runner up, I was for sure going to do Rick Moranis as
- 31:18Lewis just because he's he's a treasures. I love that they gave him the
- 31:23girl. I love that he became a ghostbuster in the end. Uh love
- 31:29that he got to think that he saved the day by blasting that thinkers and
- 31:33really they had defeated Vegan inside and that was pretty wonderful. What's he say
- 31:38when he's running like stalor makeing choices? He like keeps repeating that little mantra
- 31:42that's so cute, so good, so great. He's the best, big
- 31:48fan of him, What about you? He's also a good human, which
- 31:52is too worthy to Yes, well, I mean he like he quit acting,
- 31:56raise his kids and yep, because didn't his wife pass away? Wasn't
- 32:00that the thing? Cancer, right or something something like that, and she's
- 32:06untimely passing it. Yeah. Yeah, I was so selfishly just praying he
- 32:12would show up in front of somewhere me too. No, sorry, I'm
- 32:16glad I know that because I would have also been hoping seriously up till the
- 32:22like because they do the the like post credits trailer, you know stuff.
- 32:25And I was like, just just I'll pick anything, just anything, and
- 32:30it was like no, And I was like, Okay, I hope you're
- 32:32happy, Rick, I hope you're good. I just miss you. He's
- 32:36a best just so great. I love him so nice. Uh, I
- 32:42feel like obvious. Shout out to the other Ghostbusters who were all still great.
- 32:45They're wonderful, you know, killing it, Sigourney Weaver killing it,
- 32:50loving her, she's amazing. Uh, don't read up on the Little Kid
- 32:54I did. You guys told me not to, and I did. What
- 32:59happened so it was paid. It was played by twins. I should look
- 33:02up their names, Mary, Kate and Ashley. That's not right. Yeah,
- 33:08they looked different. It's crazy. They have a crazy last name.
- 33:12So their last name is part of Vigo's full name, Yes, which is
- 33:17crazy. Yes, they're the Deutschen Dwarfs. I assume that's how you say
- 33:22it. But William and Henry and Henry uh had some whoa, my screen
- 33:30just turned off. Am I still here? I see you? Yeah?
- 33:32Well, well I can't talk because my screen is off anyway, okay,
- 33:40great. I couldn't see the guy's name, Henry. I had some mental
- 33:44illness stuff, and he committed suicide, which was very sad. Is that
- 33:51what it was? Okay. I didn't hear officially, so so he had
- 33:54a tough time apparently, which is a bummer. I'm glad you maybe to
- 33:59read that. Yeah, well, I tried to stop you still, but
- 34:05I still brought it up. Who knows. Annie Potts is great so good.
- 34:13Really continued a tradition of me thinking that just beautiful women would like nerds,
- 34:17and I just have not really found that to be true. So you
- 34:21had a crush on any Pots back in the day too. She was so
- 34:24beautiful. I loved her. She's so great and that fun voice. I
- 34:30feel like I could listen to that crazy voice all day. When she says
- 34:34the French bread pizza, we gave him some French bread pizza. Any passed
- 34:37right out. I was like, that's it. That's the line right there.
- 34:39I love you, You're fantastic. Yeah, hundred percent. But shout
- 34:45out to some uh got it deleted my entire outline too. I having a
- 34:51rough time over here. It's usually my job when I'm on your podcast,
- 34:53so I'm great. I got it back. Chloe Webb from Twins is in
- 34:59this for about fourteen seconds is an uncredited part. Why she really I don't
- 35:05know. I don't know how that works. If they like, go in
- 35:07it but don't get you know, they're daily or something. She was the
- 35:13in the Psychic and Paramus. Yeah, the Psychic Yeah show. Yes,
- 35:17yeah, yeah. That was such a fun which she's so fun. It
- 35:22was fun for like teenage Kate and then watching it last night, the premise
- 35:25was like she meets an alien hotel bar and then she wakes up, I
- 35:30was like, oh, this is this not a great and like Bill Murray's
- 35:34looking directly at the camera. Okay, you may have been date rape you
- 35:38definitely, I don't know, yeah, but it could have been an alien,
- 35:43so you know, it could have been or a hairless cat. And
- 35:45then Kevin Dunne is also in that scene. Yeah, and he's from Deep,
- 35:50which I love a lot. Yeah, he's done a ton of things
- 35:52too, but yeah, it probably would, I know. Yeah, a
- 35:55lot of cameos though. Brian Doyle Murray was really cool. Of course,
- 36:00Bobby Brown, we see the door Man. That was fun. And Cheech
- 36:06Marin on the dock he's the doc attendant. I didn't remember that either though,
- 36:10And we even got a Ben Stein sighting, which do you know that.
- 36:15There's one very undercover cameo tell me everything in the beginning when they do
- 36:22the birthday party and the kid that walks up and says, my guest says,
- 36:28you guys are full of crap. That's Jason Wrightman, who is now
- 36:31partners in ghost Core, which is the production company the wing that does Ghostbusters.
- 36:37It's great, super cool. Did he and I think it said in
- 36:39the because I read that too and it said did he do Juno as well?
- 36:45Yeah, so that's awesome. He did Up in the Air too,
- 36:50and he's done well, that's right. That was the other one. He
- 36:52said, some big movies. Yeah, that's pretty awesome. He's great,
- 36:54you're really carrying on the legacy. Yeah, it's fun. Yeah, but
- 36:59yeah I read that to the that was his kid's and his daughter too.
- 37:01Daughters in it too, She's in the party or something. Think it's in
- 37:06the same scene. I think his daughter is the girl with the puppy in
- 37:12Egon's Labet the puppy got the puppy away. Jesus, yes, Psycho,
- 37:22calm down real quick. Hot take number two that I should have probably mentioned
- 37:27hit me. My very first crush was two different people but like hit at
- 37:31the same time. And this explains more about Kate Duncan than you ever needed
- 37:37to know. I'm scared. The first Slimmer was the first. I did
- 37:43have a French teacher who looked a lot like Slimmer. The first crush was
- 37:46David Bowie as the Goblin King in Labyrinth, which is yea right, okay,
- 37:52so there's that side. And then Egon was my scene gun yes,
- 38:00and my dad every like I am forty one years old now and my dad
- 38:02every once in a while aillgo oh Egan and I'm hilarious. I still like.
- 38:08His hair got so much higher in Ghostbusters too than the first one.
- 38:14Yeah, he gave him like another four inches like he it was crazy.
- 38:19It really went yeah, yeah, it was really up there. I wonder
- 38:22if that was a cartoon thing too, because in the cartoon it was really
- 38:25crazy. It's crazy, you remember that I was like living as a child.
- 38:30It was a shock blonde. That's not don't you dare. He's perfect.
- 38:40So there's a second hot take for I love it these hot takes.
- 38:45I love that's amazing. Also, special shout out to Kurt Fuller, who
- 38:52just plays a smarmy dirt bag again like yes, yes, exactly. Yeah,
- 38:58it was fun to see him. Call kind of forgot he was in
- 39:00this one. To be honest, Well, someone plays the you know,
- 39:04the jerk bureaucrat or whatever. I didn't get William Atherton in this one.
- 39:09Yeah, that's awesome. The first one so good. He's just the worst.
- 39:14Good. Well, let's let's move on to our favorite scenes, and
- 39:17let's choose the Dingus. The Dingus son is quite simple, really, Dingus
- 39:24Dingus. I can talk about my Dingas all night long. I'm gonna kiss
- 39:27you Dingis. I need a minute the simmer because I'm like, i'm a
- 39:30little route up. I'm gonna go not first. You don't want to go
- 39:35first, I'll go first. I'm gonna be super basic. Oh that's fine.
- 39:40I just go to when I think about this movie. This is what
- 39:45I think about. I it's the statue of Liberty moving to your love,
- 39:51keep slifting me higher? Well, yes, I mean, how is it
- 39:52not. He's using the Nintendo controller to right, it's a control right yep,
- 40:00to uh move the statue of delivery here around and it's awesome. It's
- 40:05what I think about that. And the Vigo painting, like I see that
- 40:09too, So it's kind of tough. Yeah, but yeah, it's a
- 40:13fun scene. They get all in New York feeling like they can defeat this
- 40:17who's this monster? Because that Harbor chick was there to help. Yes,
- 40:23that's one of my favorite quotes. Yeah, Harbor trick yep, I just
- 40:28love it. That's one hundred percent when I think up to and that song
- 40:34is so Jackie. I love that song and I can never decide because it
- 40:38happened when I was so young, Like do I love that song? No,
- 40:42it's because because it's in this movie, because it's awesome it is,
- 40:45right, Sure it slaps, So that's not the Jackie Wilson version, right,
- 40:52No, So I used this last night out Loud? Yeah, why
- 40:54didn't they use it? Was a full remix? I forget what her name
- 40:59is the initial when they're doing like the the toaster bit, that's Jackie Roll.
- 41:05Yes, but then maybe that's why I always thought it was okay.
- 41:07But then they switch it up when it's the actual Statue of Liberty scene,
- 41:10and it seemed like they were just trying to make it a little more.
- 41:15I guess, yeah, yeah, yeah. And this is also yeah because
- 41:20it was five years. This is the thirty fifth anniversary, which is cool.
- 41:22We got yeah, we got that going call. I'm trying to google
- 41:25quickly, and I'm terrible at that, so I can't tell you it's all
- 41:30good. I'm sorry. I can talk about my scene while you google it.
- 41:32You can come back if you think about it. I want to give
- 41:37a shout out to the courtroom scene because I actually think it's pretty. It's
- 41:39my runner up. I think I would have picked the same as you,
- 41:43Rob. I would have probably picked the statue scene for you know, tops,
- 41:46But as a runner up, this one's super fun. The trial is
- 41:49really fun. Our guy Rick moranis is hilarious, and that so funny,
- 41:53dude, God, it's so good. The judge is so good and silly
- 41:58and great. And then you know, the ghosts come out that need a
- 42:01busting and the judge like immediately changes his mind. It's just it's just so
- 42:07fun. I love that whole scene, Like it looks like it's going so
- 42:10poorly, and you know then they're proven right and all that. I just
- 42:14and like Bill Murray like leading himself as a witness for Lewis is so funny.
- 42:23I don't know if I liked that as a kid as much, but
- 42:25now I was just like, this is It's brilliant. He's just like I
- 42:30don't think it was like a you know, planned thing. It didn't show
- 42:32any previous planning and you know, like that whole thing is just so great.
- 42:37I love it so much that he calls her kitten. That's such.
- 42:45That wouldn't that wouldn't really fly. And then the other fun fact is that
- 42:52I think originally Akroyd had planned for Belushi to play Vankman and one and then
- 42:59the Sclary brother are the Blue like they're supposed to be reminiscent of the Blues
- 43:02Brothers. Oh yeah, that's right, that's cool. Yeah, I like
- 43:06that. That's nice. I was talking about this last night. I think
- 43:10that had because there's all kinds of like somebody would have played somebody, so
- 43:14they would have had Eddie Murphy in Winston Belushi is Vankman egon would have been
- 43:21the same, and Ray would have been the same. But I think it
- 43:23would have been too much and not like you know, Blue she is amazing,
- 43:29but I don't know if it would have been the same the same,
- 43:32you know. Well, they also want to John Candy is Lewis, Oh
- 43:39really, I didn't know with these weird ideas where he wanted to be.
- 43:45He wanted to be have a German accent, and he wanted to be a
- 43:50dog breeder, and he like apparently was very set on this, like he
- 43:53had built the character and was like, this is what I want and I
- 43:57havenan Rightman's like, well no, like here's a supposed to turn into a
- 44:00dog and it's going to be like confusing for people. When Rick Maranas came
- 44:07in incompletely as the perfect PA, when he introduces like, hey, this
- 44:12is just got it made up that entire part, I think I think Benny's
- 44:21right to rob, especially since Rick Maranis doesn't get a writing credit, and
- 44:24then I think he got a writing credit on the first one because he originated
- 44:29the role or whatever. Basically, right, which is so cool. Yeah,
- 44:32they said that he had lived almost every single thing that he said in
- 44:36that movie, which is nuts. I love that wild anyway, Tangent.
- 44:40Sorry, let's tell us your favorite scene. You gotta like wrangle me in.
- 44:45I'm sorry, guys, I'm still amped. Ok. Good, you're
- 44:47good, but I love it. My favorite scene is kind of two scenes
- 44:52above ground and below Yes, so they are digging the hole. I yelled
- 44:59to the day, why are you gonna come over here? Yeah, come
- 45:01on, monkey chain, like that scene when Bill Murray is losing it on
- 45:07the cop and like he's slapping the sight ego. Like it just it's perfection
- 45:15of like just three stages above ground and then below ground. I love like
- 45:22old time early turn of the century in nineteen twentieth century, nineteen hundreds,
- 45:28like pneumatic transit, like I went yes, snurty deep dive less, it's
- 45:32real, it's real. The Beach System. Yeah, so this guy,
- 45:36last name Beach, he developed this, you know, pre subway, Right,
- 45:39I went on, I went down the same rabbit hook because he just
- 45:43like he made a block version without asking anyone or getting any permission to like
- 45:49to like prove that it worked or whatever. And they eventually shot it.
- 45:52That's crazy, all of that beautiful, like dark tiling and it just every
- 46:00thing is so much classier back then. So I love the visuals of that,
- 46:04the history of that, and then the two of them slapping each other
- 46:07around and yelling at the cops and the con ed guy. I love it.
- 46:09Yeah, and he's just panicking guys, and then he's like, Ziggie,
- 46:15what do you think and he was just like yo, yeah. I
- 46:20love Egon's pure terror too at the beginning when they come up to him and
- 46:23he's just like bankman, boss, yep, take care of this. This
- 46:29is not my skill set. Who don't you stop digging? You tell him
- 46:31to stop digging. I love that whole thing. It's so dumb. I
- 46:36want to know. I always want to know this about movies, like can
- 46:38you give me a little meter on the side of how much of it is
- 46:42improv Yeah? I feel like so much of that is just them screwing around,
- 46:47them having fun. I would love to know Netflix needs to do,
- 46:51especially for these movies that everyone rewatches. We need to do like pop up
- 46:54video, but for movies that'd be so fun, it would be cool.
- 46:58Now they do a lot of cool things like if you like pause it,
- 47:01then they give you like each actor that's in the scene, which I really
- 47:06like that. But it would X ray thing or whatever. It would be
- 47:10cool if they had little like pop up things if you put select it,
- 47:15if you're like, this is the nine thousand times I've watched super Bad,
- 47:19give me some give me some hot factoids from the interwet the DVD commentary things.
- 47:25They could just load them up and have an intern. We're trademarking this
- 47:29right here, and Jeff Bezos kiss it. This was our idea. Yes,
- 47:34come to us for money transactions. It's available to you. It's for
- 47:38sale. There's a price, but you got to pay just a couple of
- 47:44bills. And I'm not in charge of negotiations. So that's that. I
- 47:47feel like we can all agree. That goes to cake. Yeah, don't
- 47:52you worry. We all know. We all know the deal. Like Egan,
- 47:59I'm gonna call them to take care of this realm, yop. I
- 48:05love that. Also shout out to the babysitting scenes, just because I love
- 48:08they're so different than the rest of the movie, but they're so great.
- 48:12Those two are just smooching and having a fun time. And then having to
- 48:15explain to Dana and all that. It's not having to explain like why did
- 48:20he immediately say like, oh, we were just sitting on a coach one
- 48:22thing or another. She's like, I didn't need to know. I don't
- 48:25know what you were to do. Ask you have thirty five kiss marks all
- 48:31over your face? Yeah, little sweaters, like all up around his armpits.
- 48:37She's like, you guys can go now, and they're like, no,
- 48:40we couldn't possibly. It's like, Dana, just tell them it's fine.
- 48:45I just love all aggressive anti potzas in that. Yeah, she's so
- 48:50great. She's hitting, she's sitting hard on on little Lewis tuttle. Yep.
- 48:54Yeah, well in the first one about what first one, she's all
- 48:58about your guy, so you must have you must have some weird feeling y
- 49:02mold spores. Quit flirting with her, come on. The only other such
- 49:10a humanity, humanitarian. The The other scene I put up was just the
- 49:16ooze montage. I love a montage, so like when we see the lady's
- 49:22mink coat come to life, that's great. That was so fun. It
- 49:25was kind of awesome. Yeah, kind of terrifying. He was terrifying,
- 49:30kind of awesome. The Titanic reappearing was pretty cool, super fun song Flip
- 49:36City in the background. Yeah, so good, so good. The mayor
- 49:39saying he'd been talking to little Guardia and he'd been dead for forty years.
- 49:43It was just fun. I like a montage talk to him for an hour.
- 49:47Yeah, that's fantastic. That mayor should get a shout out. What
- 49:51is his the actor's name? Oh yeah, he should get a shout out?
- 49:54He does? Yeah? Is that the relationship? Wonder if they're a
- 50:04great question? He does a really great like That's what I think New York
- 50:07is like anytime I like hear his voice or his attitude, like to God
- 50:14given right to treat people like crap. Yep, Okay, that's what New
- 50:17York get me. The Ghostbusters they related father is Paul mar That is now
- 50:30what we want. It doesn't say if they probably not. I think not.
- 50:35I think I just share a name. Okay, right, and then
- 50:37I was supposed to look that up, the remix of where You're Fine,
- 50:43You're just I don't think I had any other scenes that pop to mind right
- 50:50away, Like we've talked about most of them. A quick mention of a
- 50:52weird scene when, first of all, I like the bankman calls him Johnny
- 50:58at one point when he's like getting fed up with like listen, Johnny,
- 51:02right, you're not going to get a green car that way, which,
- 51:05oh yeah, that's good, so mean. But the weird scene, I
- 51:08remember that no one in my friend group knew that that was Janosh with the
- 51:14baby cart. Oh yeah, the ghost it was scary looking. Yeah,
- 51:19it did kind of look like a woman though, I get it, but
- 51:22it was definitely it was him. I'm with you, but it did.
- 51:25I don't know, they like made him look different. It's weird. I
- 51:30don't know why they even did that. It was certainly a choice. Yeah,
- 51:34I don't think they needed to go then, No, I mean they
- 51:36did make it confusing. Yeah, they made it confusing. That previous scene
- 51:40you were just talking about that where he calls him Johnny. I'm glad you
- 51:44brought that up because I feel like Mike Myers stole his bit in Austin Powers.
- 51:52When he is doing the the photo shoot, he's like, yes,
- 51:58yes, oh give me in like you know Austin Powers. He does that
- 52:00pretty good too. Yeah that's true. Yeah, immediately immediately made me I've
- 52:08worked with better, but not many, but not many. Oh yeah,
- 52:13that was way up. I also love the scene. Sorry, that just
- 52:20one last one that I thought of, but the scene where he, you
- 52:22know, in two seconds, decides to to follow everything that the painting is
- 52:28telling him to do forever, you know, our friend. But when he's
- 52:30like, there's a woman and I could maybe have her, and you know,
- 52:37like that whole thing cracked me up so hard. This time. There's
- 52:40a moment in that that I've never noticed that I noticed this this watch where
- 52:45he is trying to like this. He knows this has come in me Lord,
- 52:49Like he knows this is a big important guy. So he's trying to
- 52:52like big time and he tries to touch the candle as he's laying on his
- 52:58side, and he's like, oh, it's just this perfect like fallibility,
- 53:02like gomer of a guy seems like laying on the side, and he's like,
- 53:07I think maybe I could. That's such a good point. Yeah.
- 53:10I love that. I saw that too, And it was totally a choice
- 53:15by him. It had to be. He just seems, yeah, was
- 53:19really into that role. That was fun. I know, he was in
- 53:22a lot like he was clearly a big role in Ally McBeal, but I
- 53:24feel like he wasn't in as many things as his great skills would intimate that
- 53:30he would have been in, right, and that you know, run from
- 53:32mid eighties to you know to now. Yeah, although you know, I
- 53:37bet, I bet he's like a theater guy. He seems like that.
- 53:44You know, dude, he made that show Ally McBeal. I know bugs
- 53:47didn't watch it, but now I never saw that he was. He was
- 53:51incredible in that show. Yeah, but anyway, that's cool. Nice,
- 53:57Sorry, Yes, now we can move. Let's yeah, let's let's do
- 54:00some quotes. I think we should show me the show me the money,
- 54:06show me. Can we just read the whole script? We might basically do
- 54:15that, but you start say a few Oh I just said like a million
- 54:17of my favorite quotes and now mechanicking, Oh no, you're good. I
- 54:22don't know. Like the monkey the monkey chain one is my favorite one.
- 54:27When he's you know, he's freaking out on the street man. Okay,
- 54:30now I'm pushing this over to you guys so that I can get my head
- 54:34straight. You get your head straight. I love Uh. It's pretty early
- 54:39on and it's when he's doing the tests. Uh, or you know,
- 54:43like with the puppy and all that stuff. Egan He's like, my parents
- 54:46didn't believe in toys. It's like, you mean you never even had a
- 54:50slinky. He's like, we had part of a slinky, but I straightened
- 54:52it. But I love that. That's a nerd And Duncan was like,
- 54:59hello, oh sure straight it, lord. I loved in the courtroom scene,
- 55:14lewis your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the audience. I don't think
- 55:16it's fair to call my clients frauds. Sure, the blackout was a big
- 55:21problem for everybody. I was trapped in an elevator for two hours and I
- 55:23had to make the whole time. I know, make the whole time.
- 55:30That killed great. But I don't blame him because one time I turned to
- 55:32a dog and they helped me. Thank you, thank you very good.
- 55:37Lewis short but pointless, but pointless what did he say? I'm going to
- 55:44watch this quote, but right at the beginning of that scene, he was
- 55:45like, I don't know if I'm the right guy to represent you. I
- 55:49got my law degree at night and then Ackroyd well we were arrested at night.
- 55:53So perfect, right, exactly God, and I'll say one more.
- 56:00I love when Dana is like, it's late. I really ought to put
- 56:05him down, and Peter's like, may I, yeah, if you want
- 56:08to your short your belly button sticks out too far and you're a terrible burden
- 56:14on your poor mother. Loved it so much, so good. I think
- 56:17my quotes are both from him. When he first meets the baby and he's
- 56:23like, was his father ugly? That's just hysterical. And then he screams
- 56:30in the courtroom scene and you don't want us exposing ourselves? Like that's the
- 56:35line right there. I do love that. Whenever anybody says expose themselves,
- 56:40I think of that every time. Every time. Yep, so funny.
- 56:46Why do you say some bugs? Huh? Do you know who this is?
- 56:51It's a Vigo. That line so much. It's Vigo. I just
- 56:58love him so much. U I also love I think it's Murray. He's
- 57:04yelling at Vigo and he's like, you'd be living in southern California's beautiful Sandfornando
- 57:08Valley. And then Vigo attacks and he's just like darn it, darn it.
- 57:15When he's like nearly shocked. Yeah, it's so great. I love
- 57:20that. I love when she's like, you're very good with children, and
- 57:27he's like, thanks, I practice with my hamster. Yeah, I love
- 57:34that so much. It's so cut. Dana says to Bill Murray, Okay,
- 57:38but after dinner, don't pull any of those old cheap moves on me.
- 57:40It's different, and he's like, no, no, no, no
- 57:43no, I've got all new cheap moves, no worries. Yeah, I
- 57:49love it. According to my source, the World will End February fourteenth,
- 57:52twenty sixteen, Valentine's Day bummer. Yeah, I feel like this is one
- 58:01of those movies where I am like disinvited to watch with a bunch of people.
- 58:07Is the other one? Yeah, watch by yourself? Yeah, I
- 58:14love that so good. And then the God Given right that you said earlier,
- 58:19that's such a good line. Did you have any more Kate that you
- 58:21thought of? No, I'm off in another tangent right now, and it's
- 58:27not quote Land, it's just curiosity land. How is Dana a world renowned
- 58:37yes, violinist, someone who all of us studied music. That's kind of
- 58:44what you study and stay doing as you're like big profession when you make it
- 58:49huge, like she made it to be in you know, the New York
- 58:52Philharmonic, right, and then but five years later she is working at one
- 58:59of the top three most prestigious museums as an art preparator, which like is
- 59:05also just as like credit heavy as a degree in undergraduate, master's and PhD
- 59:10level schooling. But I just love that. And then she's got this beautiful
- 59:15apartment, so good for her. I'm celebrating women. It's you know,
- 59:17that's all I can do as other women up. But she's multi talented.
- 59:22And I was just thinking about, like that scene we're talking about quotes of
- 59:24meeting the baby, and she was talking about so he ran out on you,
- 59:29and she's like, no, he got a very great offer to you
- 59:31know, work with Germany's blah blah blah, so he ran out on you.
- 59:37It's so good. Yeah, I thought the same thing. I was
- 59:42like, she she is, she is accomplished, she talented, she was
- 59:45doing well. I mean in that first one she's got a penthouse overlooking Central
- 59:52Park, so she did very well for herself. Yeah. So one of
- 1:00:01the Janosh's first lines john os how do we say John soft? It was
- 1:00:09a soft jay one of his first signs. He's passing by his assistant and
- 1:00:14he's like, everything you are doing is bad. I want you to know
- 1:00:17this just somebody that he's walking past, that poor person. It felt very
- 1:00:24in general, and I really enjoyed that. I love when Peter's like,
- 1:00:30Hi, you got how school? I bet those science chicks really dig that
- 1:00:34large cranium of yours. Huh, says I think they're more interested in my
- 1:00:38epiditymous. They are. Yeah, it turns out. Let me tell you
- 1:00:44what I can guarantee you he was correct, but even like not a quote,
- 1:00:47but his reaction to epididymous, and you can tell he doesn't know what
- 1:00:52that word means. Perfect yes. And then I also loved when Dana's his
- 1:01:00name is Oscar. He's like, you named after a hot dog. You
- 1:01:02poor man, you poor poor man, poor poor man. So good.
- 1:01:09A non funny but sweet quote that I really like. Is he They're on
- 1:01:15the date right before the you know, slime incident at the nice restaurant happens,
- 1:01:21and you know, he said, this is the kind of encouragement I
- 1:01:24need. Keep talking to me like this. I could have myself shaped up
- 1:01:28by the next century. And she says, why don't you give me a
- 1:01:30jingle then, and his line back of why don't I give you a jingle
- 1:01:35right now? I was like, damn, yeah, jingle jingle what their
- 1:01:39kids would call riz? Yes, he is Risen? Okay, whoa.
- 1:01:47It's also I saw. I'm sorry if this offends any people, but I
- 1:01:55saw a meme today that made me laugh, and it is is uh uh
- 1:02:01you know, Christ Resurrected and it's the Four Ghostbusters with their proto so good.
- 1:02:12I'll send it to you or Rob if you have it. It's not
- 1:02:16funny at all. I also saw the classic going up to the Tomb with
- 1:02:22the stone rolled away, and it's the Apostles and then it's the the Housekeeper
- 1:02:27from Family Guy and it just says mister Jesus and here, Yeah, it's
- 1:02:34pretty. It's pretty. It's like a painting, and it's very funny.
- 1:02:39I want to have a painting of that in my house. That's what.
- 1:02:43It's really funny. It's beautiful. He is Risen. This isn't so much
- 1:02:51a quote, but it's a connection to the first movie that I thought was
- 1:02:54fun. You know, they have the ghost train incident and all that stuff.
- 1:03:00You by the way, in the first movie, on one of the
- 1:03:01like, I think it's just a person walking on the street. They're like
- 1:03:06my grandma used to talk about a ghost train that would go by her house
- 1:03:08every every night or whatever, and so I thought, I remember thinking that
- 1:03:13when I watched it. I didn't get the first one on this rewatch,
- 1:03:15but I forgot to mention it. But yuh, so I just thought that
- 1:03:17was cool that they used that. Maybe it was originally going to be in
- 1:03:21the first one for a second or something, but that's fun. I thought
- 1:03:23that was a fun continuity thing. Yeah, I thought that was cool.
- 1:03:27Boy when stuff starts in the van and it was like heads on sticks,
- 1:03:30that was a little much for young Kate totally eighty nine. Yeah right what
- 1:03:40Yeah, Oh that is a lot for sure, and just so much more
- 1:03:45intense than anything else in the movie. Yeah, like outsize right. Well,
- 1:03:50I think in in Trivia they talk about that was one of the ads
- 1:03:53that they did in reshoots was specifically the heads flying. They did that and
- 1:04:00then the scene where all the stuff starts on fire, the photos and they
- 1:04:05did all that to try and like up the scare factor. So I guess
- 1:04:09that worked because I think they definitely did, right, So, yeah,
- 1:04:13that was a cool scene in that, like, yeah, that's a good
- 1:04:16call. That was fun spooky, spooky. Wait is it one or two?
- 1:04:23It's got to be one because I don't remember being disgusted, but the
- 1:04:27ghost it's one because the ghosts get loose and then they come into the firehouse
- 1:04:30and undressed and akroid yeah, or and like something sexual clearly happens. He
- 1:04:39just makes a face a nice like he's in jailed, rewatch. I think
- 1:04:45it's clear that the what we're seeing what he sees in his dream, and
- 1:04:49they're all being sexually gratified in their dream. The most heinous one is like
- 1:04:56zoom in on Acroyd, right, and you see the belt, well his
- 1:04:59belt. Come. We didn't even talk about that, and I totally forgot
- 1:05:03about that's right, that's weird. Yeah, that's funny. Somewhere in that
- 1:05:09two and a half hour episode we didn't even mention that tease. But also
- 1:05:13the sexual moment, which I have mixed feelings about. Whenever they're talking about
- 1:05:18the experiments they did with the slime, and you know they're going back and
- 1:05:24forth, oh is you know it responds positively to blah blah blah, and
- 1:05:28then his bankman finally says, well, at least you're not sleeping with it,
- 1:05:31and then Egan's face. I was like, oh, yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:36that's your guy. I'm a scientist, my guy, he's a slime
- 1:05:42perves slimy bastard. That was all the quotes I have right on, Well,
- 1:05:48why don't we move to the crying game bugs boohoom moments when strong men
- 1:05:56also cry strong Also, again, I don't think I don't think you're boohooing
- 1:06:04in this one, buddy, Okay, okay, were you laughing so hard
- 1:06:10you were crying? Happened not in this one. And no, and it's
- 1:06:15not like hype tears. We're not getting those, like yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:19hype tears we learned were a real thing. Yeah, during the Lord of
- 1:06:23the Rings, there was one time I got close, and it was when
- 1:06:28I didn't you're right, it's zero your broom. But it's when he's like,
- 1:06:31I could have been your dad, you know, or whatever, and
- 1:06:33like should have been or whatever he says that whole thing. I just thought
- 1:06:36that was a sweet little moment. But that's the only time we even got
- 1:06:40near it, right, Can we dial back water hype tears? Yeah,
- 1:06:45tears when I get excited that something cool is going to happen and prescious right,
- 1:06:55that's a good that's a good call. And Ghostbusters four at the very
- 1:06:59end the one it was like yeah, hell yeah yeah. What was the
- 1:07:04other one where hype tears The Lord of the Ring? I had like thirty
- 1:07:08hYP yeah, bro it was it was a disaster. We have like crying
- 1:07:14series. Yeah, how many? Was it wrong? I said fifty,
- 1:07:17but I don't remember. I don't remember off the top of my head.
- 1:07:19It was a lot. I think it might have been fifty was pretty good.
- 1:07:23I think it's yeah, it was a lot. It was plus thirty,
- 1:07:26I guess it was. We skipped like a tense digit and went to
- 1:07:31the next set of I was not expecting hype tears. That is where we
- 1:07:38learned about those. Yeah. Yeah, it's a real like phenomenon acknowledged outside
- 1:07:44of a Bugler household. I don't know that. I don't care that I
- 1:07:47learned about it during that trilogy. Yeah, just checking in. Okay,
- 1:07:50all right, yep, I'm chemically imbalanced. Okay, let's go ahead now
- 1:07:57to Movie Triviall, Yes, we shall We've We've said a few of these,
- 1:08:02but I thought this was interesting, so Viga was played by Wilhelm von
- 1:08:06Humberg, but all his lines were dubbed by Max von Seedoo, who we've
- 1:08:14seen in a lot of things since. And apparently no one thought to tell
- 1:08:17Willhelm this before the before the premiere, so he stormed out of the premiere
- 1:08:24anger. Honest to god, someone tell him this is crazy bad. That's
- 1:08:30that would piss me off to some kind of like not good person. Though
- 1:08:35I don't know anything about him. I think there's some Riyan nation. Well
- 1:08:42his name is Willhelm's great, Willhelm's out there. He that guy. Okay,
- 1:08:48great, I'm glad he got reported. His voice is awesome and he's
- 1:08:53like incredible for sure, the scourge of Yeah yeah, but still, I
- 1:09:00mean, well, anyway, I'm not going to saperprise with a member of
- 1:09:03the Anys. I think there's something it's like in a file drawer of like
- 1:09:08dirt bag, and I think that's damn yeah right, I just thought this
- 1:09:12was cool. The yellow gadgets on the Ghostbuster's belts are called past devices,
- 1:09:16and there are actual real safety devices used by firefighters at the time of this
- 1:09:21production. And apparently it's just like a device that if you if you stop
- 1:09:27or if there's like a lot of heat around you, and the body doesn't
- 1:09:30move for a little bit. It makes like a huge beeping noise, just
- 1:09:33as a beacon for other people to find you. I just thought it was
- 1:09:35cool that they included that into their outfits, Like that's kind of neat,
- 1:09:40And I didn't know that thing existed. That's kind of cool. Apparently,
- 1:09:44several factors contributed to the five year gap between the original and the sequel.
- 1:09:48Bill Murray was on an extended sabbatical from acting and was angered by a new
- 1:09:54Columbia head, David Putnam, calling him. Apparently, at a Chamber of
- 1:09:59Commerce, Luncheon said about Bill Murray, He's an actor who makes millions off
- 1:10:03movies but gives nothing back to his art, Like who no one asked you
- 1:10:09to talk to Jesus Man. Yeah. Crazy. He also resented blockbuster films
- 1:10:16like the original that his studio hit big with in the eighties for some reason.
- 1:10:20We hate money. Yeah. He was fired in eighty seven anyway,
- 1:10:25and Don Steele came in and replaced him, and they made the sequel a
- 1:10:30priority at that time, and Michael Ovitz, who represented Murray, Ramis and
- 1:10:34Ivan Reitman arranged a meeting to like smooth the tensions out, and basically the
- 1:10:41meeting worked. They were like ready to roll after the writer's guild strike in
- 1:10:45eighty eight. So I thought that was interesting, Like, why would you
- 1:10:49not want to do a Ghostbusters, you know, sequel? What are you
- 1:10:53dumb? Silly? The large Vigo painting is actually a photograph and hangs in
- 1:10:59the offices the industrial light and magic, which I think is pretty Wild's cool,
- 1:11:03that's super cool, that's pretty fun. The scene involving the mink Coat
- 1:11:10coming to life was apparently originally written for Ghostbusters, the first one, and
- 1:11:15was set on a fashion show runway, which also would have been kind of
- 1:11:17fun. I'm glad they saved the back because it's a good So you do
- 1:11:23go ahead, Well, I hope I don't ruin it with I don't think
- 1:11:27I have anything else. You're not going to run anything, Okay. So
- 1:11:29Eugene Levey had scenes that were cut from Ghostbusters to I didn't know if you
- 1:11:35I think I don't know the order if this is right, But the mink
- 1:11:39Coat goes berserk and then they pan up to Yes, the Marquis movie,
- 1:11:45the Marquis, and it's you know what is the shoot it's Cannibal Girls.
- 1:11:49Yes, so that is Eugene Levey's first movie, and then it says starring
- 1:11:53Eugene Levy and so that was their like sorry, like that was the best
- 1:11:58they could do. That They his scenes out and that was one of Ivan
- 1:12:01Rightman's first movies, right that he made too, which is so that's so
- 1:12:04cool. I didn't know he had scenes though. That's wonder like because it
- 1:12:08wasn't that he had played one of the characters we know, so like,
- 1:12:11yeah, I'm curious about what other build out they could have had a good
- 1:12:15Lewis too, he would have been great. Yeah, yeah, he's so
- 1:12:20great. That's cool. And then I'm so sorry. I did just think
- 1:12:25of my absolute best, most favoritist quote. Oh hit it two in the
- 1:12:30Box, Ready to Go, We be Fast and baby so low. Yeah
- 1:12:39that's fantastic. Also yelled at at like inappropriate times and people are like what,
- 1:12:44yeah, nobody do people ever catch that? Yeah? No, they
- 1:12:48just pity me. I think she's yelling stuff again. Okay, she's lost
- 1:12:54it. Okay, great, yep, love that. Uh oh, I
- 1:13:00just thought it was interesting. Janine's appearance significantly changed from Ghostbusters to this one
- 1:13:05to conform to her animated counterpart in the animated series, which I think is
- 1:13:11funny. Oh. The scene where Lewis find Slimer and in the fire station
- 1:13:17apparently eating his lunch was originally intended to be a running gag in the film
- 1:13:23where Lewis would try and trap the ghost and you know, in turn prove
- 1:13:27himself as a ghostbuster and then like eventually catch him and that was his like
- 1:13:30I'm ready moment, But the idea was cut and this scene and sequence at
- 1:13:34the end where Louis apparently removes the slime from outside the museum are the only
- 1:13:40remains of the joke. But I was like, that actually would have been
- 1:13:42really cool to have that be sort of a recurring thing. And I think
- 1:13:46Slimer was in there because of the animated show too, because in the animated
- 1:13:49show he lives at the station or whatever, so he's like the dog,
- 1:13:54right, Yeah pretty much? Yeah, yeah, for sure. I like
- 1:13:57it when Tully runs up to the bus and yeah, Slimer drives can say
- 1:14:00that, would you okay? Safe? Yeah? I love that. That's
- 1:14:06great. Ah. We already talked about those being put in. We talked
- 1:14:11about that. Oh, I thought This was one In the courtroom scene,
- 1:14:15the ghost carries out the prosecuting lawyer out of the room upside down by her
- 1:14:19leg. You know, that is in the trailer, but the FX hadn't
- 1:14:25been done yet, so it's just her being dragged upside down with no ghost
- 1:14:30in the trailer, which I think is funny. They were just like,
- 1:14:34I just use it. No one's gonna care. You can ye think it
- 1:14:41works, I guess. And then yeah, my last thing was that Dana
- 1:14:44removed her shirt, or her removing her shirt was not scripted. Yeah,
- 1:14:49maybe it wasn't scripted because they were like, well, she'll definitely say no
- 1:14:51if it's in the script, but if we bring it up organically, think
- 1:14:58it's warm? Why is one hundred and twenty degrees in here? Ivan,
- 1:15:02as a mother, wouldn't you not want to get your shirt wet as well?
- 1:15:06I don't. Yeah, I don't know. Is that I don't know.
- 1:15:10It's weird. Let's not talk about what Kelsey does with the kids.
- 1:15:12But like, I just feel like most most model no stop it. One
- 1:15:19little trivia thing that I thought was fine was when thank you they when they
- 1:15:28say the Titanic's coming in on peer thirty four in real life, that was
- 1:15:32the ship's original distance. That's cool. That is cool. Apparently they thought
- 1:15:38about having that be the Hindenburg as well. I read that somewhere rather than
- 1:15:44the Titanic. I think the Titanic is it worked? It works really well.
- 1:15:47And Cheech just nails it. Yeah, nails it than never. Yeah,
- 1:15:53pretty great, Cheech oh Chi, what other did you have any other
- 1:15:59one? Throb? No, we said all the other ones that I saw.
- 1:16:01I didn't see anybody up for other roles because there really weren't that many
- 1:16:04other roles. I'm sure there wasn't, right, Yeah, besides makes sense,
- 1:16:10vego slam. Did you have any other trivia that we hadn't said?
- 1:16:13I don't think. Watch me remember one in fifteen minutes though. Well that's
- 1:16:15fine, that'll be okay, talk about it then nice. Well then let's
- 1:16:18call it a judgment day. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there will be.
- 1:16:24Yes, we know there's sequels. You guys keep talking about the most
- 1:16:26recent one. It's really good, like it's so fun. I recommend it's
- 1:16:30I will see any Ghostbusters anything, of course. I will watch that Lady
- 1:16:35one. That's fine. The third one I love that they don't call this
- 1:16:40by the way, Ghostbusters five, it's just like they've pretended. Yeah,
- 1:16:44they're just like move ahead. Yeah, yeah, it is interesting. I
- 1:16:47do not love the Lady One either. I was so. I was kind
- 1:16:51of a stoked for that one. Yeah, we all wanted to and it
- 1:16:55just kind of felt the wig is Egon is perfect. Yeah, but in
- 1:17:00Melisam it should have been a home run. It had parts that were great
- 1:17:04and had a Yeah, Benny had a great pointy Kate McKinnon as Ego.
- 1:17:10Oh, yes, she was great. Sorry, Benny's point was, Oh,
- 1:17:15he just said, like they in these first two movies, they had
- 1:17:18like a fun movie and then they just let them be funny and they tried
- 1:17:23to like manufacture that too much with the Ladies, which I thought was like,
- 1:17:28these are like the funniest women on earth, Like they're gonna be funny
- 1:17:30together. Paces strange. Yeah, it was a shame. Number three I
- 1:17:38got real weepy whenever wait, has everybody seen number three? Aff? Yeah?
- 1:17:46Raymis rolling up that great. Yeah. I loved three. I thought
- 1:17:53it was really so much. Yeah, I do love you guys so much.
- 1:17:58Three is pretty good. Four was like I didn't feel like I had
- 1:18:00wasted my money. It was like I would go see it again in the
- 1:18:03theaters like it was. It was aces. I felt like three was like
- 1:18:09they brought me back in the universe and nostalgia wise, I was like,
- 1:18:13thank you so much. I'm so ready to be bad. And then four
- 1:18:15was just like this is just a blast and plenty of Easter eggs, like
- 1:18:20yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna have to go and watch it this
- 1:18:25week. Yeah, man, you're gonna love it. I could see like
- 1:18:29amped up. I was like I was doing some karate chops on the way
- 1:18:31home. Oh yeah, yeah, nice. Nice. Well, hey,
- 1:18:39would you guys like to play a game? Yes, I decided to make
- 1:18:43a starting five for you too. And Okay, I'm pretty sure you've done
- 1:18:47this on movie game Nights, but this is where I named my five favorite
- 1:18:51actors from a from a particular film. When you know the film you ring
- 1:18:56in with your name, if you get it wrong, there won't be any
- 1:18:58negative points. You won't be able to guess again for that movie. If
- 1:19:01there are actors' names remaining, you can guess those for a point each.
- 1:19:06The other person can steal if you get any of those names wrong. However,
- 1:19:11and all of these films have something in common. When you know the
- 1:19:15theme, you can ring it at any time for a point, and it
- 1:19:17might deal with something like Ghostbusters too, it might relate to the film we're
- 1:19:23talking about. Yes, yes, how do we feel about this? Are
- 1:19:28we good? I'm so ready? Okay, yes, awesome? Then let's
- 1:19:32start now. Number one, first name TJ. Miller. Number two Zazi
- 1:19:45beats maybe Zazi? What's up? I think it is Zazzy, right,
- 1:19:49I don't know. I don't know. Deadpool two? Got it? That?
- 1:19:58One? Oh? Three? Names? Uh? Well, Ryan Reynolds,
- 1:20:05is it? Kate backer In back? Is that her last name?
- 1:20:10Though? I'll give you a half point, but it's not. I don't
- 1:20:14that. I'm curious. Uh, and you have picked for the third,
- 1:20:18oh, Josh bro two and a half points? Do you know Bachern's first
- 1:20:24name? I sure don't. The last name Marina backer In? Yeah?
- 1:20:30Wait, so what did I get? You got two and a half for
- 1:20:32the names and Deadpool two? Thank you? What was her first name?
- 1:20:39Marena? Oh? I wasn't even clubs No, we're verys. Dolores okayls?
- 1:20:49Number two I love that so much, so funny. Number two the
- 1:20:56first name don Cheatle the second. Yeah, he's figured out. Yeah,
- 1:21:05it's uh, it's sequels or sequels with the number two. And then there
- 1:21:10you go, and it's iron Yes, it's iron Man two. It's only
- 1:21:14two, so it's the title and two so it's not like the two or
- 1:21:18right, gotcha, it's not volume two, it's not. It's just title
- 1:21:27two. So there you go, iron Man two. You got, don
- 1:21:30Chel, you have four names remaining, Robert Downey Junior of course, Gwyneth
- 1:21:38Paltrow, yes, good, good guests, Scarlett Johansson. No, and
- 1:21:45you have one more guess, son of a beasting Uh uh oh, why
- 1:21:51can't I think of his name right now? He's in tmn T two one
- 1:21:58B B beep Kate, you can There are two names remaining, he said,
- 1:22:03don Cheatle, Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. If you've seen iron
- 1:22:09Man two, it is the two bad guys make very good, good call.
- 1:22:20And the other person he was close to coming up with, I got
- 1:22:26it. It is Sam Sam always the name and the human have never linked.
- 1:22:36Well, should be Sam Elliott to me? Oh? Interesting, For
- 1:22:42some reason, the two Sam's have melted, and I do feel like Sam
- 1:22:45Rockwell is super different in a lot of movies too, So he's one of
- 1:22:49those like Erry. He switches it up a lot. But you were on
- 1:22:54the board. Now, it's a nice job, Dukes. You've got Gwyneth
- 1:22:57Paltrow, Robert Donney Junior, and Iron Man. Let's go to number three.
- 1:23:03The first name is j. K. Simmons, the second name James

- 1:23:34the name is Will? It's not it. It's not the one I pick.
- 1:23:39That's not it? Is he not in the second one? Yeah?
- 1:23:42I think he's like he's like Ghosty in that one, isn't he? Oh?
- 1:23:45Yeah? He dies in the The Green gobsm So it's the other.
- 1:23:50It's the main bad guy in Spider Man two. Okay, do you know
- 1:23:54who that is? Oh, he's got a crazy name. It's not too
- 1:23:59crazy. But yes, I thought his name was nutso though, no,
- 1:24:06it's not too bad. Okay, then I don't know. His name is
- 1:24:11Alfred Molina. That's what I was thinking. But yeah, it's yeah,
- 1:24:15I forgot that was that one. Yeah, but you got Toby Kirsten and
- 1:24:21Spider Man two. He's doing very well. I love sequels. He's doing
- 1:24:28very well. Let's go to number four. The first name is Chris Pine,
- 1:24:36the second name Jamie Fox. Number three bus Yes, Horrible Bosses.
- 1:24:47Wow, dude, I don't think I would have gotten that that quickly.
- 1:24:51What there is a Horrible Bosses. It's funny. Jo was really funny.
- 1:24:57It's a very small role. But Heine's really good in it too. He's
- 1:25:00like a dirt bag and a half. Three names remaining again, Charlie Day,
- 1:25:14Jennifer Aniston, No incorrect, damn it. Jason Bate, that's correct.
- 1:25:20One dude remaining Kate. I didn't even know the movie existed. Rob
- 1:25:26Twister was in it. Ted Ted his name. I don't, I can't
- 1:25:34remember it. I always confuse him. We did it. She gets point
- 1:25:40for that. No, I get no point. Yeah, we'll throw We'll
- 1:25:43give you, not give me point. This is the Lord's Day. I
- 1:25:45can't be given pity point. I'm giving you half pity point. But you
- 1:25:49got Charlie Da, Jason Bateman and Horrible Bosses too, so you're only get
- 1:25:55three, doing great. I did win the last time we played this.
- 1:26:00Nice, I feel I'm still riding high. Yes, let's go number five.
- 1:26:04The first name is Christopher Wakin. Guys. The second name is Chris

- 1:27:39just said. I love it and I want the sequel. The fourth name,
- 1:27:47and this is just for Bukes now is it? Is it home alone
- 1:27:51too? That has more, that's lots of New York so that can't be
- 1:27:56screwed it up. But the other name for Danny Glover and Mel Gibson,
- 1:28:01it was lethal Joss Ackland was the diplomatic immunity guy, diplomatic community, which
- 1:28:10we've talked about. We talk about that quite a bit. Where are I'm
- 1:28:17getting obliterated? That's where we are. I have fourteen and a half.
- 1:28:21Kate has one and a half. I can't have a half. I have

- 1:29:24for Kate. There you go. It was like a distant crush, totally
- 1:29:29later down the road. Cotton River, cotton cotton wearing makes sense, Larry
- 1:29:34Cotton, Leary, weary, I think weary. Yeah, I think it
- 1:29:38was weird. All right, this one might be tougher. We'll see,
- 1:29:44okay. Number eight. First name is Julie Andrews. The second name Antonio
- 1:29:54Benderaz Oh yeah, Biggs, Shrek too, got it? So this is
- 1:30:02animated. Ones are tough. That is the only animated one I did,
- 1:30:05And there are so many animated two movies, but I just like that they're

- 1:30:30first name is Tony Hale, who I love so much. I love him.
- 1:30:35The second name is Sam Richardson. I've met both of those guys in

- 1:31:20Umm, got him. Got he was just to talk about it. It's
- 1:31:29good, okay. So number nine. So far we've had Tony Hale and
- 1:31:32Sam Richard Sendley third, Oh yeah, sorry, Sarah, Jessica Parker,
- 1:31:38you guys, s JP, number four, Kathy to Jimmy, that's right,

- 1:31:57Bet Midler. Yes, yes, two point. I'm mad about that one.
- 1:32:00Yeah, me too. I should have thought. Yeah, those two
- 1:32:04guys were you know who Tony Hale is. I'm so sorry. Did you
- 1:32:10watch Arrested Development? He was Buster and Arrested Development? Yeah, or of
- 1:32:16course he's her bag man. Yeah, it was frustrating that he wasn't Buster.
- 1:32:21It was like, at first, very hard for me to make that
- 1:32:25transition. Yeah, I love him so he's so good and everything, every
- 1:32:30single thing. And you said he was very sweet, right, ro Yeah,
- 1:32:33he was on the Today Show and we were on the Today Show and
- 1:32:36so we got to hang out with him and he actually is from Alabama,
- 1:32:40so like chance got to chat with him about that and like he was just
- 1:32:43really personable. It was cool. Where do I know Sam Richardson from Sam
- 1:32:47Richardson has been in a bunch of things. Now. I knew him before
- 1:32:51he blew up. I knew him. We were on the same cruise ship.
- 1:32:56He was doing a second city thing on a cruise. Yeah, comedian
- 1:33:00when we came on. This is like pre sing off and yeah, so
- 1:33:05he's been in a bunch of things. He's in. God, I can't
- 1:33:10think of anything, right. Did you watch ted Lasso? Ted Lasso?
- 1:33:13He's the like guy, the super rich guy that African soccer team. Ok.
- 1:33:18Yeah, he's that guy of things. Yeah. Yeah, he's really
- 1:33:26fun. It's really good. Anyway. He just directed a movie actually saw
- 1:33:29that I want to check out. Yeah. I think it might have been
- 1:33:31his first two. I don't know what it's called. So it's not very
- 1:33:35helpful anyway. Anyway, it's just the last one here The first name is
- 1:33:40Richard Roxburgh. Sure. The second name is Brendan Gleeson. WHOA okay?
- 1:33:47The third name is Tandy Newton, Say what Tandy t H A N D
- 1:33:55I E. Newton. The fourth name is Vings pause pause, Candy Newton
- 1:34:03from Westworld. Yes, okay, very good, very very good. It's
- 1:34:10uh ving Rams. And then the last name Tom Cruise. Got it?
- 1:34:17But yeah, so it's Mission Impossible to I got it. My least favorite
- 1:34:25of all of the Mission Impossibles by a lot. Yeah. Actually, I
- 1:34:30was going to watch them all again, and I stopped that after watching that
- 1:34:32one because I was like, are they all? They're not? That one
- 1:34:35was brutal. That one is like, oh, everybody can just take their
- 1:34:40face off. Everyone's has everyone has a taken their face off scene. It
- 1:34:45ends up being like a quintuple double cross. I'm like, okay, I
- 1:34:49don't know who's anymore. The buge's wow, dude, really really good?
- 1:34:55You really did? I wonder if we charted on days when I have caffeine
- 1:34:59and play this game, how good I am? Because I think that's the
- 1:35:00difference it has shown to be. Yes, Sometimes I'm just like I'm ready,
- 1:35:06You're ready. Yes, but Kate, you're awesome. Thanks for I
- 1:35:12try. You know, I just realized that I've never seen any of the
- 1:35:15Lethal Weapon series. Wow, oh look at this, the little thumbs up
- 1:35:20there that yeah, I can't turn it off, and then I never can
- 1:35:28get it to happen again. I get it on FaceTime. I found out
- 1:35:31that two thumbs up is the fireworks. But apparently it's just on face time.
- 1:35:39It's not working, so you get fireworks down, thumbs down, rain,
- 1:35:45rain comes, and you don't have to like set that as a no
- 1:35:48brown thing. It must be an apple thing then maybe. So now every
- 1:35:53single time that I FaceTime my kids, that is all they're doing. I
- 1:35:57don't get any actual talking. It's just thumbs and rain and fireworks. Oh,
- 1:36:03it's gest your time. It's not a call from daddy, it's just
- 1:36:06your time. I feel like that's really all I would want to get its
- 1:36:11bondingd I digress. This was fun, This is great, This was fun.
- 1:36:17I will pick the order for the upcoming draft as we will be drafting
- 1:36:21the best babysitting movies, which will be super fun, our best babysitters in
- 1:36:27movies, whichever way you want to know about it. But that's only for
- 1:36:30patrons, so if you want to check that out, you're gonna have to
- 1:36:32go to patreon dot com slash the Abbot endorsment right now, and then yeah,
- 1:36:38be part of the crew. It's fun over there, guys much And
- 1:36:43while you're on your internet device, make sure to subscribe to Great Question with
- 1:36:46Me and Kate. Yeah, it's fun. It's really fun. It's a
- 1:36:51nice mixture of like really deep and not deep and fun. So it's like
- 1:36:56you know what I mean, Like it's you get both, which is great.
- 1:36:59There's a lot of you like the F word. I got a podcast
- 1:37:02for you. Boy. I wish we would have done explicit on this podcast
- 1:37:06from the beginning. What it just saved me a lot of edit time.
- 1:37:09That's the only reason. Otherwise not a big deal, but we've probably gotten
- 1:37:14two more listeners the fact that we're true and I love both my mom and
- 1:37:19sister. My dad hasn't given you a lecture about your language like he's given
- 1:37:26me. All right, he has actually so he also asked you if Loyal
- 1:37:30University would care about your swearing. Yeah he did, and I was like,
- 1:37:34I don't think so. This mine was less about swearing and more about
- 1:37:40ending with prepositions. He really doesn't. Yeah, the Jarend will get you.
