- 1:13Speaker 5: Here comes Charlie Brown.
- 1:14Speaker 6: Now listen, thanks.
- 1:16Speaker 7: For the Christmas card you sent me, Violet.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I didn't send you a Christmas card, Charlie Brown.

- 1:27Speaker 4: When you hear it, be here as your favorite comic
- 1:29Speaker 4: strip comes to life this year. Enjoy at Charlie Brown Christmas.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So that was the CBS promo for the first ever
- 1:43Speaker 2: Charlie Brown Christmas, sixty years ago today. Sixty years ago
- 1:53Speaker 2: today was the first Charlie Brown Christmas Welcome and now
- 1:59Speaker 2: we can't see it because Apple bought it. They sold
- 2:05Speaker 2: it to Apple. Stupid CBS. I guess they didn't want
- 2:11Speaker 2: to run like Charlie Brown Christmas anymore. It's outdated idiots. Sorry, hello, Yes,
- 2:20Speaker 2: of course it's time on sixty years. They told them
- 2:23Speaker 2: all that would never work. This portion of the program's
- 2:27Speaker 2: brought to you by Radiant Dentistry. It's a you're here
- 2:30Speaker 2: in a good day. I'm very excited to visit with
- 2:34Speaker 2: Nora Jones. A little bit later in the show, we're
- 2:38Speaker 2: gonna hear from Colin Kleine at his news conference up
- 2:42Speaker 2: in Manhattan. We've got a high school report. We're gonna
- 2:47Speaker 2: hear from Trey Zoon, Tory and York Bucky and Mallory
- 2:54Speaker 2: is here with some entertainment, and we are going to
- 2:58Speaker 2: crown the twenty twenty five Friday's Fearless Football Forecast champion.
- 3:05Speaker 2: So phone the neighbors, wake the kids. We're gonna crown
- 3:11Speaker 2: the champ Today. After fifteen long weeks of agonizing, the
- 3:18Speaker 2: Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award announced its twelve
- 3:22Speaker 2: finalists today. No surprise that Mike Elko is one of
- 3:26Speaker 2: the twelve, along with James Madison's Bob Chesney, Kurt Signetti
- 3:32Speaker 2: of Indiana, Ryan Day of Ohio State, Tony Elliott at Virginia,
- 3:36Speaker 2: Marcus Freeman at Notre Dame, Clerk Lee at Vanderbilt, Jerry
- 3:40Speaker 2: Mcackinnesaw State, Joey McGuire Texas, dec Jim More at Yukon,
- 3:45Speaker 2: Kirby Smart at Georgia, and John Sumral at Tulane. The
- 3:49Speaker 2: winner will be announced a week from tonight. A and M,
- 3:55Speaker 2: according to several media outlets, is expected to hire Kentucky
- 4:00Speaker 2: Ends coach Derek Say to fill the same role to
- 4:03Speaker 2: replace Christian Ellsworth, who is going with Colin Klein's staff.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Shae spent this fall as tight ends coach for the
- 4:12Speaker 2: Wildcats after being promoted in June. Mark Stoops, of course,
- 4:18Speaker 2: got fired. According to multiple reports, the new head coach,
- 4:21Speaker 2: Will Stein, did want to retain Shay despite Lane Kiffin's
- 4:26Speaker 2: exit for LSU, the majority of the on Miss coaching
- 4:30Speaker 2: staff is staying together for the Rebels college football rut.
- 4:34Speaker 2: The team had already announced that O C. Charlie Weiss,
- 4:37Speaker 2: Junior would see everything through. Now we learned that tight
- 4:41Speaker 2: ends coach Joe Cox, wide receivers coach George McDonald, assistant
- 4:46Speaker 2: quarterbacks coach Dane Stevens, and slot wide receivers coach Sawyer
- 4:50Speaker 2: Jordan will be reprising their roles at Ole Miss. Each
- 4:56Speaker 2: of those four coaches will join Kiffin staff at LSU.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Maybe Lane Kiffin is not the devil after all, since
- 5:07Speaker 2: he's allowing these coaches to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs.
- 5:12Speaker 2: South Carolina is finalizing a deal for Kendall Briles to
- 5:17Speaker 2: become the Jake the Gamecocks new offensive coordinator. Brills, of course,
- 5:21Speaker 2: has been at TCU the last three years. He was
- 5:26Speaker 2: hired at Baylor, stayed there at twenty sixteen, went to
- 5:31Speaker 2: Florida Atlantic, Houston, Florida State, Arkansas. Kendall Brile's much in
- 5:38Speaker 2: demand as an offensive coordinator. Let's see, we've got basketball tonight.
- 5:45Speaker 2: The big game is eighteenth ranked Florida visiting fifth ranked Yukon.
- 5:52Speaker 2: That is the Jimmy V Classic in New York. Last
- 5:57Speaker 2: night in Austin, Texas wiped out Southern and there's several games.
- 6:04Speaker 2: By the way, Texas has to play at Yukon on
- 6:08Speaker 2: Friday night. The Aggies will be back in action on
- 6:13Speaker 2: Sunday evening at six against Jacksonville.
- 6:20Speaker 1: There's a difference.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Between Jacksonville and Jacksonville State, right, Caleb, I'm pretty sure
- 6:29Speaker 2: Kyle Schwarber staying with the Phillies, finalized a five year,
- 6:34Speaker 2: one hundred fifty million dollar contract following a frenzied free
- 6:42Speaker 2: agency with the Mets, the Red Sox, the Orioles, the
- 6:48Speaker 2: Pirates even made a push, Cincinnati made a push.
- 6:55Speaker 1: The Phillies.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Had a hard time thinking about life after Schwarber, who
- 7:01Speaker 2: finished second in the MVP voting, and he was a
- 7:06Speaker 2: man during the playoffs. And we speak of the Dodgers
- 7:12Speaker 2: when there's free agency, and it seems like the Dodgers
- 7:15Speaker 2: and the Mets this kind of fight out for big contracts.
- 7:20Speaker 2: They got the best closer in the market three years,
- 7:24Speaker 2: sixty nine million for Edwin Diaz of the Mets. The Dodgers,
- 7:30Speaker 2: of course, targeting bullpen help this winner they need it.
- 7:35Speaker 2: The Diaz, a three time All Star, was twenty eight
- 7:39Speaker 2: to thirty one converting saves for the Mets this last year,
- 7:43Speaker 2: an elite fastball high strikeout rates ninety eight in sixty
- 7:50Speaker 2: six and a third innings this last year while walking
- 7:54Speaker 2: just fourteen batters. So I hate to tell you this,
- 7:58Speaker 2: but the rich are getting richer, and then Dodgers keep
- 8:02Speaker 2: getting the players they want because hey, they pay for it.
- 8:08Speaker 2: So if your team's not doing that, call up the
- 8:12Speaker 2: owner and say, hey, owner, could we spend that kind
- 8:15Speaker 2: of money to get a decent closer? And after he
- 8:19Speaker 2: hymns and hawes, the ultimate answer will be no, because
- 8:23Speaker 2: we're not the Dodgers. All right, we're gonna take a break.
- 8:28Speaker 2: We're gonna crown a champion. We're gonna hear from Colin
- 8:33Speaker 2: Kleine after the final lap. Brought to you by Chad Jones.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Law.
- 8:39Speaker 8: I'm Chad Jones. We know sports injuries hurt, and so
- 8:42Speaker 8: do injuries from car recks. But you didn't sign up
- 8:44Speaker 8: to be in a car wreck with someone who wasn't
- 8:46Speaker 8: paying attention. It was their fault and now you're left
- 8:49Speaker 8: to deal with the consequences. You need to see a
- 8:51Speaker 8: doctor and you're missing work. Chad Jones Law can help.
- 8:54Speaker 8: We've been helping our neighbors for more than two decades.

- 9:11Speaker 9: Kyle Larson is on talking about just how tight the
- 9:13Speaker 9: point standings and the championship race is here in twenty
- 9:16Speaker 9: twenty five.
- 9:17Speaker 10: It's yeah, it's really tight, so you know, hopefully we
- 9:19Speaker 10: can kind of get back on a run of being
- 9:22Speaker 10: consistent and getting stage points. I feel like kind of
- 9:25Speaker 10: been consistent, we just haven't finished as high as we have,
- 9:30Speaker 10: you know, early in the year, and then we've been
- 9:31Speaker 10: missing out on stage points, so kind of lost track
- 9:34Speaker 10: a little bit, you know there, and others have been
- 9:36Speaker 10: doing good job and Chase is always consistent, so he's
- 9:40Speaker 10: just quietly kind of there.
- 9:42Speaker 11: You know.
- 9:42Speaker 10: After his win that he had, I was I was shocked.
- 9:45Speaker 10: I didn't even know he was a close in points.
- 9:48Speaker 10: So and then yeah, William's been really strong, but he's
- 9:50Speaker 10: had some bad luck here in a couple of races lately,
- 9:53Speaker 10: So it's just kind of when the leader of the
- 9:55Speaker 10: points can't really get away, it just you know, it
- 9:57Speaker 10: brings it all together. So yeah, they're still lot of
- 10:00Speaker 10: racing left though, and you can really kind of if
- 10:02Speaker 10: you go on a good run, you can you can
- 10:04Speaker 10: stretch out, you know, here pretty quickly.
- 10:06Speaker 5: For what we we have.
- 10:07Speaker 10: On the racetrack, I feel like we've executed really well.
- 10:11Speaker 10: You know, just on paper it looks like we're just
- 10:13Speaker 10: very average, which we have been. But you know, we've
- 10:16Speaker 10: we've taken days where we've been, you know, not a
- 10:19Speaker 10: top ten car and finished you in the top ten
- 10:22Speaker 10: or even the top five. And you know, those days,
- 10:24Speaker 10: although they're not fun there, they are rewarding at the
- 10:27Speaker 10: end of it because I think, you know a lot
- 10:28Speaker 10: of times in my past, you know, I'll try even
- 10:32Speaker 10: too hard and make your big mistakes and crash, which
- 10:35Speaker 10: I mean I've done that you here lately.

- 12:29Speaker 1: Were you sweating it on the final weekend?
- 12:34Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 12:34Speaker 1: That was yeah? Well, hey you won by one. You
- 12:38Speaker 1: beat one other.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Picker by two, and two other pickers by three, so
- 12:43Speaker 2: it was it was pretty close. I mean, do you
- 12:46Speaker 2: remember when you took the lead in this contest?
- 12:51Speaker 15: Well, I took it a few weeks ago and then
- 12:54Speaker 15: I lost it and then I got it back about
- 12:56Speaker 15: a week or two ago.
- 12:58Speaker 1: That's it. So you did you lost it for one week?
- 13:03Speaker 1: So wow?
- 13:04Speaker 15: Okay, yeah, yeah, I was kind of. I guess I
- 13:09Speaker 15: got the leading about the middle of the season.
- 13:11Speaker 1: What was your secret picking games this year?
- 13:15Speaker 5: Well?
- 13:16Speaker 15: I picked them all on Monday and I study and
- 13:19Speaker 15: then make some adjustments.
- 13:22Speaker 2: So did you make adjustments? Did you change picks almost
- 13:27Speaker 2: every week?
- 13:29Speaker 15: Yes?
- 13:30Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe that was my problem. I just made my
- 13:35Speaker 2: picks and left them. I'm going to try your system
- 13:39Speaker 2: next year.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Joe. Okay, do you know do you know what I
- 13:43Speaker 1: did today?
- 13:45Speaker 5: Oh?
- 13:45Speaker 16: What?
- 13:46Speaker 2: I took Lord Howard's Cup to the trophy lab to get.
- 13:51Speaker 1: A new name plate and a new name engraved on
- 13:54Speaker 1: that trophy. All right, now, that's what everybody once. When

- 14:26Speaker 1: Do you follow baseball? Joe?
- 14:30Speaker 15: Excuse me?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Are you a Are you a baseball fan?
- 14:34Speaker 15: That's true?
- 14:35Speaker 2: All right, Well forget this prize then, Joe. I'm keeping
- 14:38Speaker 2: that for myself.
- 14:40Speaker 15: My daughters fans.
- 14:41Speaker 1: She is really yes, okay, so good. I want I
- 14:46Speaker 1: want her to maintain that.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I have a commemorative collector's Rangers baseball that comes in
- 14:55Speaker 2: a gold base and.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Plexiglass stand that she can put in her room.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Your daughter, she's thirty, perfect, well, she put it in
- 15:05Speaker 2: her office if she wants to.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Okay, So here's here's what else I have for you, Joe.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I have a book that I really enjoyed called Iron
- 15:16Speaker 2: in the Blood. It's on the history of the Alabama
- 15:18Speaker 2: Auburn game.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I have a family four.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Pack to Moody Gardens just in time for the holiday season.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I have a complimentary brunch Sunday buffet for two at

- 15:40Speaker 1: My wife, my wife, she will love that.
- 15:43Speaker 2: And I have a twelve inch meat and cheese party
- 15:48Speaker 2: tray from meat Readfield Meats and Deli, just in time

- 15:58Speaker 2: And like I said, we're getting your name engraved on
- 16:02Speaker 2: the cup from our friends at the Trophy Lab. When

- 16:31Speaker 2: Well that's not nearly as long as I've been trying, Joe,
- 16:35Speaker 2: but congratulations anyway, thank you. Okay, Joseph Bungia is our
- 16:43Speaker 2: twenty twenty five winner. And he was steady man, he
- 16:46Speaker 2: was steady. He was a great front runner. Now today
- 16:53Speaker 2: the ten Bowl games and CFP games are up. I've
- 16:57Speaker 2: already had somebody emailed begging me to go to my
- 16:59Speaker 2: original list of fifteen, but we're not doing that. We're
- 17:02Speaker 2: only picking ten games this year. We're picking the first
- 17:06Speaker 2: four CFP home games Miami an m Alabama, Oklahoma to
- 17:10Speaker 2: Layne Old Miss James Madison, Oregon. The Pinstripe Bowl with
- 17:15Speaker 2: Penn State and Clemson, the world famous Pop Tarts Bowl
- 17:20Speaker 2: with Georgia Tech and BYU, The Texas Bowl with LSU

- 17:31Speaker 2: Relacust Bowl with Iowa and Vanderbilt, and the Citrus Bowl.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Remember you can't spell Citrus without ut Texas against Michigan,
- 17:44Speaker 2: you need to go online and make your picks between
- 17:47Speaker 2: now and a week from Friday.
- 17:53Speaker 1: That's the nineteenth.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Friday, the nineteenth at five pm is the dead life
- 18:00Speaker 2: for making your Bowl picks. And we'll have another group
- 18:04Speaker 2: of fat, dabulous prizes for you. Friday's Fearless Football Forecast
- 18:10Speaker 2: contests the regular season and the Bowl edition are brought
- 18:15Speaker 2: to you my Zwernemann Flooring and Chad Jones Law.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Who that's always fun.
- 18:26Speaker 2: It's more fun when I win, which I've only done
- 18:28Speaker 2: one time in the whole history of this contest, which
- 18:33Speaker 2: has been going on frankly since the late fifties, so
- 18:37Speaker 2: it's been a long standing contest.
- 18:40Speaker 1: And my name is still on that cup.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It will never be erased from that cup. And I
- 18:46Speaker 2: know that's why all of you guys play.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Is to get your name on the cup. All right.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Right now, we're gonna hear from Colin Klein, who met
- 18:55Speaker 2: with the local media up in Manhattan about his new
- 18:59Speaker 2: job as a head coach at Kansas State.
- 19:03Speaker 11: They were getting into and Kansas State football has stood
- 19:07Speaker 11: for a lot of things. The competitive spirit that has
- 19:10Speaker 11: been on our football team over the years, that our
- 19:14Speaker 11: players have shown over and over again, is different. And
- 19:17Speaker 11: it was different when different teams played Case State, and
- 19:20Speaker 11: it was different when we went and played other teams
- 19:22Speaker 11: that when that ball went down, they had no idea
- 19:25Speaker 11: what they were getting into. And Cose Snider knew a secret.
- 19:27Speaker 11: It's not a complicated secret, but it is the secret that.
- 19:31Speaker 6: When you stir the spirit.
- 19:33Speaker 11: Of a young man and you make it hard, and
- 19:36Speaker 11: you make him go through difficulty, and you make him
- 19:39Speaker 11: strive to overcome the competitive stamina and the resistance that
- 19:43Speaker 11: he has and is able to bring into onto the
- 19:46Speaker 11: football field or onto that field of.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Battle, is different.
- 19:49Speaker 11: And he started that nineteen eighty nine and ever since
- 19:52Speaker 11: that day, that has been bred into every single one
- 19:55Speaker 11: of us players that have come through this program.
- 19:58Speaker 6: That is not going to change.
- 20:00Speaker 11: You look at toughness and the mental and intestinal fortitude
- 20:04Speaker 11: to play this game of football the way that it
- 20:06Speaker 11: needs to be played is different. That is bred and
- 20:10Speaker 11: has been bred and will continue to be bred into
- 20:12Speaker 11: every Kansas State Wildcat. You talk about physicality, this is
- 20:16Speaker 11: a physical game.
- 20:17Speaker 6: It is not some.
- 20:18Speaker 11: People like to visit physicality. We live there and how
- 20:22Speaker 11: hard we will play snap after snap after snap, week
- 20:26Speaker 11: after week after week.
- 20:27Speaker 6: I did a study just this week.
- 20:29Speaker 11: You look at Case States record in the month of
- 20:31Speaker 11: November at the end of the season off the chart.
- 20:35Speaker 11: Why it's because we're tougher. We know how to finish
- 20:38Speaker 11: and we know how to go to a place in
- 20:40Speaker 11: a level that most most people don't even understand. We're
- 20:43Speaker 11: going to be preparing and the work and the detail
- 20:46Speaker 11: it takes to prepare a football team top to bottom.
- 20:51Speaker 11: We're not going to be in a hurry. We're not
- 20:52Speaker 11: going to take shortcuts. We're going to do everything. Every
- 20:55Speaker 11: little detail is going to be taken care of to
- 20:58Speaker 11: make sure that our players know what.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Is going to happen before it happens.
- 21:03Speaker 11: They're gonna know where they're gonna line up, they're gonna
- 21:05Speaker 11: know their technique, they're gonna know where their hand placement is,
- 21:08Speaker 11: and they're gonna be able to go with confidence into
- 21:10Speaker 11: that snap, knowing what that other guy is going to
- 21:12Speaker 11: do before he does it. That's how you play fast.
- 21:16Speaker 11: We're gonna be resilient to adversity. I've always said that
- 21:18Speaker 11: what the game of football teaches you and what it
- 21:21Speaker 11: turns you into is way more valuable than any trophy
- 21:24Speaker 11: you can put in the case. And I told the
- 21:26Speaker 11: team that this afternoon, you have to learn how to
- 21:29Speaker 11: pick yourself up from failure. You've got to learn how
- 21:32Speaker 11: to not be afraid of failure and to put yourself
- 21:34Speaker 11: out there again and again and again, and even in
- 21:38Speaker 11: the moments of the greatest disappointment, when something doesn't go
- 21:42Speaker 11: your way, you stay true to your values. And I've
- 21:44Speaker 11: told the story over and over that Coach Sneyder instilled
- 21:48Speaker 11: in us that no matter.
- 21:49Speaker 6: What happens, we will, we will.
- 21:51Speaker 11: It is it is how you respond to what happens
- 21:54Speaker 11: to you in life, not the failure of the situation,
- 21:58Speaker 11: and that lesson is in valuable. They state, it's about family,
- 22:04Speaker 11: It's about relationships, It's about people. It's about being able
- 22:08Speaker 11: to touch and impact the guy next to you, the
- 22:11Speaker 11: person next to you, and help make their life better.
- 22:16Speaker 6: What is our mission moving forward. We're going to be
- 22:19Speaker 6: the new Old.
- 22:20Speaker 11: School, and we're going to stay true to a value
- 22:22Speaker 11: system that has been in place for a very, very
- 22:24Speaker 11: long time, and we are going to move our program
- 22:28Speaker 11: forward and take the steps necessary to chase excellence in
- 22:31Speaker 11: everything we do.
- 22:33Speaker 6: We're going to love on our players.
- 22:35Speaker 11: We're going to be elite relationship builders that strive and
- 22:40Speaker 11: scratch and claw to make sure that they know that we,
- 22:43Speaker 11: myself and our staff have their backs no matter what,
- 22:48Speaker 11: and we are going to do whatever it takes to
- 22:49Speaker 11: help make them become the best that they can possibly
- 22:52Speaker 11: be on and off the field. We're going to recruit
- 22:58Speaker 11: and we're going to be really really aggressive and and
- 23:02Speaker 11: how we move this program forward, and we're going to
- 23:05Speaker 11: be aggressive in this new era of college football to
- 23:09Speaker 11: target the right type of character individuals, get the right
- 23:13Speaker 11: kind of support and alignment so that we can go
- 23:15Speaker 11: attract and attack the best talent in the country so
- 23:19Speaker 11: when that ball does go down, we can go toe
- 23:22Speaker 11: to toe with anybody. We are going to be known
- 23:29Speaker 11: for how hard we play and compete. It is going
- 23:33Speaker 11: to be evaluated day in and day out on that
- 23:35Speaker 11: practice film. To know that it's that process inside of
- 23:40Speaker 11: every single player's hard in mind and finding more in
- 23:45Speaker 11: them that they don't even know that they can give,
- 23:48Speaker 11: and that will show up on Saturday afternoons. We're going
- 23:52Speaker 11: to have a schematic advantage. We're going to if we're
- 23:54Speaker 11: asking our players to give everything that they possibly have,
- 23:58Speaker 11: we as a coaching staff are going to do the
- 24:00Speaker 11: exact same thing and We're going to push the envelope
- 24:03Speaker 11: of the edge schematically that we can attack people with
- 24:07Speaker 11: on offense and defense and special teams and their capacity
- 24:12Speaker 11: to play fast, but also put a lot of stress
- 24:15Speaker 11: on our opponent.
- 24:18Speaker 6: And the time is now.
- 24:20Speaker 11: There's never been a more critical time in college football,
- 24:23Speaker 11: of more volatility, a little bit more uncertainty, and we
- 24:28Speaker 11: have to attack this thing head on. And it's going
- 24:30Speaker 11: to take all of us. Every single one of us
- 24:33Speaker 11: in here has something to give to help take this
- 24:35Speaker 11: program where we need it to go. I told our
- 24:38Speaker 11: players this afternoon, they're going to get every ounce that
- 24:40Speaker 11: I have to help move this program forward in every
- 24:42Speaker 11: single area. I love challenges. I love going and doing
- 24:50Speaker 11: hard things. To go and take this program where it
- 24:55Speaker 11: has never been is going to be hard, and I
- 24:57Speaker 11: want it to be hard.
- 24:58Speaker 6: I want it to be difficult.
- 25:01Speaker 11: We are going to attack it together as a staff,
- 25:05Speaker 11: as with our players, as a fan base, as an administration,
- 25:10Speaker 11: and we're going to take this program where it hasn't
- 25:11Speaker 11: been before.
- 25:13Speaker 2: That is Colin Kleine, are you ready to run through
- 25:16Speaker 2: a brick wall?
- 25:17Speaker 1: Yet? It's awesome? So I why did you hear some
- 25:22Speaker 1: of that?
- 25:24Speaker 2: His introductory news conference up in Manhattan. He will be
- 25:28Speaker 2: back here helping the Aggies prepare for Miami a week
- 25:35Speaker 2: from Saturday. He was, you know, that kind of player,
- 25:44Speaker 2: and I think we have talked all year. Is only
- 25:49Speaker 2: a matter of time before he got a head coaching job.
- 25:52Speaker 2: It may have come a year or two earlier than expected,
- 25:55Speaker 2: but the alma mater opened up, and as Bear said,
- 26:00Speaker 2: when Mama calls, you got to go home.
- 26:03Speaker 1: And that's what he did.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And what a great opportunity, A great opportunity in that league.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Kse State has been a lynchpin of that league, even
- 26:16Speaker 2: when it was much stronger than it is now. They
- 26:21Speaker 2: have been really good. Their fan base is loyal, their
- 26:27Speaker 2: home field advantage is substantial, and I have no doubt
- 26:34Speaker 2: that Colin Kline will win at Kansas State. Chris Clement
- 26:38Speaker 2: went at Kansas State. He was the hect of a coach.
- 26:41Speaker 2: They were off a little bit this year. Obviously, it
- 26:46Speaker 2: will be interesting to see the challenges that NIL presents
- 26:51Speaker 2: to Colin Kline and to getting recruits to come to Manhattan.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Kansas not exactly the guard spot of the United States,
- 27:02Speaker 2: but let's be honest, neither is College Station Texas. I
- 27:07Speaker 2: think players come to play for coaches, they come to
- 27:10Speaker 2: play for programs, and this day and age, they come
- 27:13Speaker 2: to play for money. And we'll see how much that
- 27:17Speaker 2: they can put together. And you know, now they're competing
- 27:23Speaker 2: with a big dog this year that kind of ran
- 27:25Speaker 2: away with things Texas Tech. But hey, guess what, BYU
- 27:29Speaker 2: has a lot of money too. They spend and are
- 27:33Speaker 2: spending a lot of money. I mean, the narrative that
- 27:36Speaker 2: Texas Tech bought a championship is ridiculous. It's like the
- 27:40Speaker 2: It's like the Yankees and the Mets. You can spend
- 27:44Speaker 2: as much money as you want, but if you don't
- 27:48Speaker 2: spend it wisely, and you don't develop the players there,
- 27:51Speaker 2: and you don't create the culture and the opportunity, it's
- 27:58Speaker 2: not gonna matter, no matter how much how much money
- 28:01Speaker 2: you's been, not going to matter. So I think Colin
- 28:05Speaker 2: Klein will do it right. I think he'll do it well.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I think the rest of the league is going to
- 28:12Speaker 2: be paying attention to Kansas State for a number of
- 28:15Speaker 2: years to come. And congratulations to him his family going
- 28:19Speaker 2: back home. What a terrific opportunity, pretty young age, and
- 28:25Speaker 2: it'll be awesome. But again he'll be here getting Marcel
- 28:31Speaker 2: and the offense prepared to take on a really good
- 28:37Speaker 2: Miami defensive football team a week from Saturday morning.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Coming up. We've got a high school report.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Norah Jones is going to join us in the second hour.
- 28:49Speaker 2: We're going to hear from Bucky Tomorrow's Scott. Clint Dennon
- 28:53Speaker 2: will be with me on Thursday. We'll have the Clark
- 28:58Speaker 2: Eisenhower out addition, so we've got all of that going
- 29:04Speaker 2: on for us, which is nice. Let's see in Friday,
- 29:10Speaker 2: Kirk bowls from Parts Unknown. Actually I know where Kirk
- 29:14Speaker 2: is and we will run him down and talk to
- 29:18Speaker 2: Kirk on Friday about those big Citrus Bowl. Preparations for
- 29:24Speaker 2: the Longhorns. Sefcheck Service Center twenty two hundred long marches
- 29:28Speaker 2: down from the post office in College Station is open
- 29:31Speaker 2: right now, open till six, seven to six through Friday
- 29:36Speaker 2: seven to four on Saturday. If you're traveling for the holidays,
- 29:41Speaker 2: if you're going up where it snows for the holidays,
- 29:44Speaker 2: if you're going where it's warm for the holidays, just
- 29:48Speaker 2: make sure your car truck is ready to go with
- 29:50Speaker 2: you and to take you there and take your family there.
- 29:53Speaker 2: So let them check out the tires and the fluid
- 29:56Speaker 2: levels and everything, the hoses, the belts, everything to get
- 30:01Speaker 2: you on the road and make sure your trip is
- 30:04Speaker 2: what you're.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Expecting it to be.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Pat and his staff have been doing this for people
- 30:09Speaker 2: in the Brass Valley and the Sebcheck family for well
- 30:14Speaker 2: over fifty years, and Pat is carrying on that family tradition.
- 30:19Speaker 2: It's Sebcheck Service Center twenty two hundred Long March. It's
- 30:23Speaker 2: down from the Post office in College Station.
- 30:27Speaker 17: Were getting snook wild Game at Slavachk Sausage. Would like
- 30:30Speaker 17: you to know about some important changes for deer season.
- 30:32Speaker 17: Slavatchiks will only be accepting deer that are skinned and
- 30:35Speaker 17: quartered or boneless. Drop Off hours from November through February

- 30:58Speaker 18: If you missed Tech Tags Live, you miss just as
- 31:01Speaker 18: Mike Golkok.
- 31:02Speaker 19: Yeah, I've said this to people, and this is you know,
- 31:05Speaker 19: I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way
- 31:07Speaker 19: because I understand what that game means. I understand what
- 31:09Speaker 19: going to Atlanta means, and there's bitter disappointment for.
- 31:12Speaker 5: All of that. But I've said this.
- 31:13Speaker 19: We talked a lot about this last offseason, like there
- 31:15Speaker 19: are two things that can exist, right. There is bitter
- 31:18Speaker 19: disappointment that can exist along with and understanding that as
- 31:22Speaker 19: long as we play college football, and as long as
- 31:24Speaker 19: we play football at Texas A and M, we're going
- 31:26Speaker 19: to lose and we're going to have to move on, right,
- 31:29Speaker 19: And so saying that doesn't try to justify it or
- 31:32Speaker 19: make it okay, but it's what's going to happen. You know,
- 31:36Speaker 19: we're not going to go thirty six and OHO over
- 31:38Speaker 19: my next three regular seasons. There's going to be losses
- 31:40Speaker 19: mixed in there, and we're going to have to figure
- 31:42Speaker 19: out ways to move forward. And it doesn't change it.
- 31:46Speaker 19: But that's just kind of how you have to be
- 31:48Speaker 19: wired to be successful in this sport.
- 31:50Speaker 18: Of tech ex Live weekdays from eight to eleven on
- 31:52Speaker 18: the Zone all Christmas.
- 32:10Speaker 1: It's the best time all the year.
- 32:14Speaker 20: I don't welcome to high school report. I'm not going
- 32:17Speaker 20: since they were going out to the Polaris Phone Center
- 32:18Speaker 20: fun Line to visit with the head basketball coach for
- 32:21Speaker 20: the girls team for the Montgomery Bears, Kelly Savoy. Thank
- 32:25Speaker 20: you for joining us.
- 32:25Speaker 6: How you doing today?
- 32:27Speaker 21: Thank you man, I'm doing good. Thank you for having me.
- 32:29Speaker 20: Of course, you've had a great run this season. What
- 32:32Speaker 20: edge do you think you've had over the competitors that
- 32:34Speaker 20: has made you so dominant this far.
- 32:36Speaker 21: We've just got a real, real close knit team. They
- 32:40Speaker 21: play hard, they work hard, and we're real young. We've
- 32:45Speaker 21: got out of twelve varsity kids, there's three sophomores and
- 32:50Speaker 21: four freshmen, and we're starting three sophomores and one of
- 32:54Speaker 21: those freshmen and then a senior. But just the younger
- 33:00Speaker 21: kids have come together and picked up on all our
- 33:03Speaker 21: stuff so far as has been good. It's been good
- 33:06Speaker 21: start for us for sure, being as young as we are.
- 33:10Speaker 20: And what are some areas that you think your team
- 33:12Speaker 20: could use improvement despite the dominant run you've had.
- 33:16Speaker 21: Well, I'm sure every coach out there probably say the
- 33:19Speaker 21: same thing, but I'd like to see our shooting efficiency
- 33:24Speaker 21: get a little bit better, get a little more consistent there.
- 33:28Speaker 21: I've really enjoyed our intensity level has been pretty consistent.
- 33:33Speaker 21: I've been happy there. I've been happy with our defense.
- 33:36Speaker 21: Just just the little nuances of executing our offense, you know,
- 33:41Speaker 21: and that'll get better with time. Again, with such a
- 33:43Speaker 21: young team and the things that we do, you've got
- 33:47Speaker 21: to have a little bit, a little bit of a
- 33:49Speaker 21: basketball IQ to read and react to what the defense
- 33:53Speaker 21: is doing, and that just comes with experience and reps
- 33:56Speaker 21: and practice. So to answer your question, I'd just like
- 33:59Speaker 21: to see us be little more efficient offensively.
- 34:02Speaker 20: Absolutely. And you keep talking about how young the team is.
- 34:04Speaker 20: Who graduated last season that left the big shoes to
- 34:07Speaker 20: fill and who has really stepped up this season to
- 34:09Speaker 20: fill those shoes.
- 34:10Speaker 21: Well, we graduated six seniors last year, two of which
- 34:16Speaker 21: were four year varsity players, you know, Keeley Hennikey and
- 34:23Speaker 21: Janessa Tennyson. My daughter was also in that graduating class. So,
- 34:29Speaker 21: you know, losing six seniors too, with a and a
- 34:33Speaker 21: lot of experience between all of them, you know, we've
- 34:37Speaker 21: had some kids step up this year. Briley as an
- 34:41Speaker 21: oar of course, as our point guard. She was on
- 34:44Speaker 21: Varsitie last year as a freshman, first team in all district,
- 34:48Speaker 21: so she's you know, she stepped up as a leader.
- 34:52Speaker 21: We've one of our seniors, Peyton Hartz, who has been
- 34:56Speaker 21: a Varsiti player since her freshman year. She's a senior
- 34:59Speaker 21: captain this year. And you know she also plays volleyball.
- 35:03Speaker 21: Of course, the volley ball made a great run to
- 35:05Speaker 21: the regional semis and uh so we got her kind
- 35:08Speaker 21: of late, but she stepped right in and picked up
- 35:10Speaker 21: where she left off last year. So she's been great
- 35:13Speaker 21: for US. Jaden Mayberry was sophomore as I was on
- 35:19Speaker 21: varsity as a freshman as a sophomore this year, she
- 35:21Speaker 21: didn't play a lot last year, but she's starting for
- 35:24Speaker 21: US now and and has really stepped up and averaging
- 35:28Speaker 21: double figures and uh so she's been nice. I'm not
- 35:32Speaker 21: really surprised because she she puts in a lot of
- 35:34Speaker 21: work and she put a lot of time in the summer.
- 35:36Speaker 21: And then one of the freshmen. All the freshmen are contributing.
- 35:40Speaker 21: I mean, I don't making a mistake there, but one
- 35:44Speaker 21: is starting for US, Peyton Peyton Horns. Uh and she's
- 35:49Speaker 21: she's done really really well for a freshman stepping into
- 35:52Speaker 21: a varsity starting position. So we've got some some people.
- 35:57Speaker 21: You know, you never can replace experience, but we've got
- 36:01Speaker 21: some good kids. That young kids are with us now,
- 36:04Speaker 21: so we're excited about it.
- 36:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:06Speaker 20: Absolutely. If you had to choose, which opponent gave your
- 36:09Speaker 20: team the biggest challenge this season and where do you
- 36:12Speaker 20: think they've challenged you the most.
- 36:16Speaker 21: This season so far? We played grand Oaks twice. You know,
- 36:22Speaker 21: grand Oaks is a t ABC State ranked six A team,
- 36:26Speaker 21: and we played them second or third game of the
- 36:30Speaker 21: season right out of the gate, you know, and again
- 36:32Speaker 21: young team, and we played over their place and it
- 36:36Speaker 21: was a competitive game. We had a little stretch where
- 36:40Speaker 21: they made a run coming right out of halftime. They
- 36:43Speaker 21: went on to like a nine tozer run. We end
- 36:45Speaker 21: up losing that game by twelve. And their athleticism and
- 36:50Speaker 21: their length, you know, they're much quicker and bigger than
- 36:53Speaker 21: we are, and that gave us, I think some problems,
- 36:57Speaker 21: especially during that run they made after half time. Then
- 37:00Speaker 21: we turned around last weekend we played played grand Oaks
- 37:09Speaker 21: in the third game of the Barber Seel the Gulf
- 37:12Speaker 21: Coast Classic, and we actually took the lead with about
- 37:17Speaker 21: twenty seconds left. We end up commuting and foul, they
- 37:20Speaker 21: make the free throws, we lose game by two. So
- 37:24Speaker 21: to see that kind of us, you know, the same
- 37:26Speaker 21: team as a measuring stick, you know, basically a month later,
- 37:31Speaker 21: and to see how we handled again their athleticism and everything,
- 37:37Speaker 21: that was very encouraging.
- 37:39Speaker 20: Yeah, and you faced the Lake Creek tonight. What are
- 37:42Speaker 20: you expecting out of them? And how do you think
- 37:43Speaker 20: your teams will clash on the court.
- 37:48Speaker 21: I'm sorry I missed the second part of that question.
- 37:50Speaker 5: What was it?
- 37:51Speaker 20: What are you expecting out of Lake Creek And how
- 37:52Speaker 20: do you think your teams will your police styles will
- 37:55Speaker 20: mix up on the court.
- 37:56Speaker 21: Okay, Well, first of all, it's our game, right, it's
- 38:01Speaker 21: our sister school in our district. So it's like I
- 38:04Speaker 21: told the kids yesterday when we were going over scouting report,
- 38:07Speaker 21: I you just anytime we play Laker, the records go
- 38:11Speaker 21: out the window. It's gonna be a tough game. But
- 38:15Speaker 21: both teams, you know, obviously get excited and get up
- 38:18Speaker 21: for playing each other, so I expect it to be
- 38:22Speaker 21: a battle. You know, we kind of I think we
- 38:26Speaker 21: play a little faster pace than they do, So it'll
- 38:28Speaker 21: be interesting to see who kind of handles there and
- 38:31Speaker 21: controls the tempo. I think that's going to be a
- 38:34Speaker 21: big determining factor tonight. But it's going to be a battle,
- 38:38Speaker 21: for sure. I mean it always is.
- 38:41Speaker 20: Yeah, I want to pivot really quickly to just coaches
- 38:45Speaker 20: about questions about coaching. Well, twenty nine years in coaching
- 38:48Speaker 20: and education experience, in twenty three as a girls basketball
- 38:51Speaker 20: head coach, how have you seen the game evolve? And
- 38:53Speaker 20: how is your coaching philosophy evolved with it?
- 38:58Speaker 3: The game?
- 39:01Speaker 21: I think kids are playing at a higher level today
- 39:04Speaker 21: than when I first started. Not that there were bad players.
- 39:07Speaker 21: I just think there's there's so kids are playing so
- 39:10Speaker 21: much more, you know, between AAU and club ball and uh,
- 39:14Speaker 21: you know, we're doing so much more now, you know,
- 39:16Speaker 21: as far as summer workouts and shootouts in summer leagues
- 39:20Speaker 21: and colleagues and this and that and kids. So, kids
- 39:22Speaker 21: are playing a lot of basketball now. It seems like
- 39:26Speaker 21: to me a lot more than when I first started. Now,
- 39:30Speaker 21: if you ask, if you ask some of the most
- 39:33Speaker 21: players that I have from a while back, you know
- 39:36Speaker 21: about how I've changed, they tell you I've probably gotten
- 39:39Speaker 21: softer as I've gotten older, and I don't necessarily disagree
- 39:43Speaker 21: with them, but you know, I also think it's just
- 39:46Speaker 21: it's an experienced thing. I mean, like you said, I've
- 39:48Speaker 21: been doing this a long time, and you know, you
- 39:51Speaker 21: figure out along the way. I've made a lot of mistakes,
- 39:54Speaker 21: and you figure out certain things at work and don't
- 39:57Speaker 21: and make adjustments as you go through from your the year,
- 40:00Speaker 21: and heck, you know even now I'm still learning things.
- 40:03Speaker 21: So you know, I guess that's the best way to
- 40:07Speaker 21: answer that.
- 40:08Speaker 20: Yeah, last question for you here, coach, how do you
- 40:11Speaker 20: define success as a coach for your team both on
- 40:13Speaker 20: and off the court besides just wins and losses.
- 40:17Speaker 21: Well, you can ask any kids that's played for me
- 40:20Speaker 21: in all those years. The first thing we're looking for
- 40:24Speaker 21: if you're going to be in our program, and especially
- 40:27Speaker 21: being a varsity player, we're looking for kids with character,
- 40:30Speaker 21: with what I call championship character. We want leaders, not
- 40:35Speaker 21: we want not just leaders in our program, we want
- 40:38Speaker 21: leaders in the school. You know, we want kids who
- 40:41Speaker 21: are doing the right thing, no matter where they're at,
- 40:45Speaker 21: what setting it is, classroom, hallways, lunch room, out in
- 40:48Speaker 21: the community. Because if you're that's not something you turn
- 40:53Speaker 21: on and off. Right, You're gonna if you've got that
- 40:56Speaker 21: kind of character that you're doing things right all the time,
- 41:00Speaker 21: you're going to bring that to the gym with us
- 41:02Speaker 21: as well. You know, success to me is I want
- 41:08Speaker 21: to see where these kids are in ten fifteen years.
- 41:11Speaker 21: You know, I got kids that I coached fifteen years
- 41:14Speaker 21: twenty years ago that I'm still in contact with, and
- 41:17Speaker 21: just to see them be successful in their adult lives
- 41:21Speaker 21: and have their own families and be outstanding young ladies, women,
- 41:27Speaker 21: grown women. Now, that to me is the biggest measure
- 41:31Speaker 21: of success. If we can give them something that they
- 41:33Speaker 21: pick up something from us, and they're four years of
- 41:36Speaker 21: high school playing for us that they can use, you know,
- 41:39Speaker 21: later on down the road in their life and sometimes
- 41:42Speaker 21: you know, facing some kind of adversity or something, if
- 41:45Speaker 21: there's something they picked up from us that helps them,
- 41:48Speaker 21: and we've been successful, in my.
- 41:49Speaker 20: Opinion, beautifully put. Thank you so much for your time.
- 41:53Speaker 21: Coach, Thanks Matt, I appreciate it, sir.

- 44:36Speaker 26: The Houston Texans, that one of the hottest teams in
- 44:38Speaker 26: the NFL, have won five straight and played their way
- 44:40Speaker 26: back into the playoff picture. After the Texans knocked off
- 44:43Speaker 26: the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football by a score of
- 44:45Speaker 26: twenty to ten. Another impressive effort from the defense forcing
- 44:48Speaker 26: three interceptions, the offense did have some struggles, in particular

- 45:09Speaker 26: Meanwhile, running back Nick Chubb left Sunday's game with the
- 45:12Speaker 26: rib injury and did not return. It's unclear the severity
- 45:15Speaker 26: of the injury moving forward and if Chubb will missed
- 45:17Speaker 26: some time. The Texans did claim running back Cody Schrader
- 45:20Speaker 26: off waivers from the Jaguars on Monday. Schrader played one
- 45:23Speaker 26: game for the Rams this season.
- 45:24Speaker 6: And it was against the Texans.
- 45:25Speaker 26: He saw action on four special team snaps. Texans prepared

- 48:31Speaker 2: Tuesday edition of the program. Right now, I think we're
- 48:37Speaker 2: going to hear from Trey Zoon, who was named today
- 48:42Speaker 2: first Team.
- 48:42Speaker 1: All SEC I met yesterday.
- 48:49Speaker 2: I believe it was all My days are confused. It
- 48:53Speaker 2: was Sunday afternoon. Here's Trey Zoon.
- 48:58Speaker 6: We'll go see your mind when you see Miami Show.
- 49:00Speaker 6: If there's a team you're gonna.
- 49:00Speaker 29: Play new I mean, it could have been anybody that
- 49:02Speaker 29: we're we're playing and we're gonna attack them the same.
- 49:04Speaker 5: So we've got to prepare for this game like any
- 49:06Speaker 5: other game, and we'll be ready to go.
- 49:08Speaker 9: What do you think is he need the key to something?
- 49:09Speaker 16: You know?
- 49:09Speaker 5: Every thing that was like top kay and potential.
- 49:13Speaker 29: I haven't had a time to watch any film yet
- 49:16Speaker 29: since I just got announced. But you know, I don't
- 49:17Speaker 29: think he'll be a threat that we need to worry
- 49:19Speaker 29: about too much. You know, we have great players, We've
- 49:21Speaker 29: got a great offensive line, so we'll be able to
- 49:23Speaker 29: handle them. What do you remember it over the last
- 49:25Speaker 29: time you guys played in Miami?
- 49:27Speaker 5: Not much? Not much really?
- 49:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's pretty much if we're gonna conclusion that
- 49:32Speaker 2: at the end.
- 49:32Speaker 21: But was their thoughts, feelings, emotions when you solve your
- 49:36Speaker 21: your name up there.
- 49:37Speaker 12: On the home screen.
- 49:38Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely.
- 49:38Speaker 29: It's an honor to be able to play in the
- 49:39Speaker 29: playoffs and especially get another home game at Kyle Field.
- 49:42Speaker 29: You know, there's no no better feeling than that. But
- 49:44Speaker 29: you know, we didn't come here just to get to
- 49:46Speaker 29: the playoffs. We came here to win it all. So
- 49:47Speaker 29: that's our goal.
- 49:48Speaker 26: Guy's been all so you've been talking about getting to
- 49:50Speaker 26: this moment.
- 49:50Speaker 21: Now that you hear with the mentality, with the mindset and.
- 49:53Speaker 29: All long game, really it's not gonna change much at
- 49:55Speaker 29: all because we're just gonna keep attacking every single game
- 49:58Speaker 29: like like we did this season.
- 49:59Speaker 5: We're gonna prepare for for them like any other game.
- 50:01Speaker 5: How does integration.
- 50:02Speaker 29: You don't have to figure yourself after you know, last
- 50:04Speaker 29: we don't take that. You're right, yeah, the last game.
- 50:09Speaker 29: It it's stung, but you know we're we're gonna use
- 50:11Speaker 29: it to for fuel for this, for this playoff run.
- 50:14Speaker 29: So how does it feel that you thought you played
- 50:16Speaker 29: your last game in Kyle Field a few weeks back
- 50:18Speaker 29: and and now you can.
- 50:19Speaker 5: Get to kind of play here again.
- 50:21Speaker 29: Right, It's just it's just amazing because I get one more,
- 50:23Speaker 29: one more opportunity in Kyle Field, and you know, I'll
- 50:26Speaker 29: never I'll never pass up on that opportunity.
- 50:28Speaker 16: What is it?
- 50:28Speaker 7: This storm your earlier in your career and now you're
- 50:31Speaker 7: really breathing the remorse?
- 50:32Speaker 5: What does this gonna mean to you personally?
- 50:35Speaker 29: I mean it it means everything because this is our
- 50:37Speaker 29: chance to go prove what an m is and prove
- 50:40Speaker 29: exactly what we wanna go do.
- 50:41Speaker 5: So we've got to take it one game at a
- 50:42Speaker 5: time and our goal is to win it. All.
- 50:44Speaker 11: You thought about what it means, you guys are the
- 50:47Speaker 11: being the first team kind of setting that precedent of
- 50:50Speaker 11: handing them to ever make them right.
- 50:52Speaker 29: Yeah, Like, it's it's just an honor to have that uh, uh,
- 50:55Speaker 29: have the opportunity to, you know, go do what we
- 50:57Speaker 29: wanna do. So we're gonna we're gonna make sure we
- 50:59Speaker 29: don't we have that we do it right. We're gonna
- 51:01Speaker 29: make sure that we do it right and do everything
- 51:02Speaker 29: we can to win.
- 51:03Speaker 5: So what was that?
- 51:04Speaker 7: What was a bus ride like back from Austin and
- 51:06Speaker 7: just at one point maybe did you.
- 51:07Speaker 6: Guys need to turn the page?
- 51:09Speaker 29: I mean, yeah, just it wasn't a good feeling, and
- 51:11Speaker 29: you know, we don't we don't we want to get
- 51:13Speaker 29: that taste out of our mouth. So you know, it's
- 51:15Speaker 29: it's behind us now. So we're just moving forward and
- 51:17Speaker 29: we're gonna take it to Miami, you know, order.
- 51:19Speaker 17: To win the game.
- 51:20Speaker 6: With the next games in the content of open.
- 51:21Speaker 22: Gallas that make sure kind of care of me with
- 51:24Speaker 22: the state page.
- 51:24Speaker 21: Can you be able to kind of depend on the state?
- 51:27Speaker 29: Definitely, But we're just taking it one game at a time.
- 51:29Speaker 29: We're not looking there yet. We're just gonna focus on Miami.
- 51:32Speaker 16: So you don't look at that that that whole bracket
- 51:35Speaker 16: and so if we hit by that team and then
- 51:38Speaker 16: it's that team, you don't do y'all not look at
- 51:40Speaker 16: what your your road the complete role is or it's
- 51:44Speaker 16: just the next game.
- 51:45Speaker 29: Right, It's hard not to but for me especially, it's
- 51:47Speaker 29: just the next game because none of that means anything.
- 51:49Speaker 29: If we don't handle business against Miami.
- 51:52Speaker 5: What is this you know, with what you've been through,
- 51:54Speaker 5: you your time at pay and then what does this
- 51:55Speaker 5: season meant to?
- 51:57Speaker 29: Just being my final season? It means everything to have
- 51:59Speaker 29: you know, the rest of our He's still in front
- 52:00Speaker 29: of us. We can still go do what we set
- 52:02Speaker 29: out to do. So it's just a cool feeling.
- 52:04Speaker 11: Is it like for you guys to see coach Flyn
- 52:06Speaker 11: get haired at Kansas State and just him also being
- 52:08Speaker 11: able to be a.
- 52:09Speaker 5: Part of the playoff run here to right?
- 52:11Speaker 29: It's awesome though. We get to have him around and
- 52:12Speaker 29: stick around for you know, finishing this thing out. But
- 52:14Speaker 29: you know, it's a great opportunity for him, so we're
- 52:16Speaker 29: happy for him.
- 52:19Speaker 5: What what do you think went wrong against Texas?
- 52:21Speaker 21: And and why do you think you guys would be
- 52:22Speaker 21: able to pixis?
- 52:23Speaker 5: We just didn't play our brand of football for four quarters.
- 52:26Speaker 5: That's all there is.
- 52:28Speaker 19: He's being with all the guys and getting some washingtons vilings.
- 52:31Speaker 11: She don't happen what we Fashal him light.
- 52:34Speaker 29: It was just a cool moment for the kind of
- 52:36Speaker 29: for the brotherhood because you know, we've we've put in
- 52:38Speaker 29: all the work and to be there with each other
- 52:40Speaker 29: when it got announced, it was a it was a
- 52:41Speaker 29: cool feeling.
- 52:42Speaker 16: Is there any annoyance at all that you're a seventh
- 52:44Speaker 16: seed not higher than that?
- 52:47Speaker 5: I don't think. I don't think any of that will
- 52:48Speaker 5: really matter when we end up winning it all. So
- 52:51Speaker 5: it might be Christmas breaking.
- 52:52Speaker 6: Agula seeks my head if really is.
- 52:55Speaker 20: You know, what's the kind of the message you know
- 52:57Speaker 20: that we kind of I can't real.
- 52:59Speaker 29: People in that styf right, Yeah, you said it just
- 53:02Speaker 29: packed the Caulfield one last ride.
- 53:04Speaker 10: So will it help it all that you guys have
- 53:06Speaker 10: a common opponent with Miami and Notre Dame, and especially
- 53:10Speaker 10: since it was early in the season, I guess maybe
- 53:12Speaker 10: when you start turning on some tape.
- 53:13Speaker 29: Right, Yeah, once we start looking at film, that'll probably help.
- 53:16Speaker 29: But yeah, we haven't started yet, so it's.
- 53:18Speaker 19: A donna's question.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Did you stop and give your something moment kind of
- 53:22Speaker 2: think back on the early years and where the journey
- 53:26Speaker 2: to get here with some of the seniors.
- 53:28Speaker 29: And more guys definitely a little bit, but that hasn't
- 53:30Speaker 29: really sat in yet because our whole season is still
- 53:32Speaker 29: in front of us.
- 53:33Speaker 5: So we're just gonna take it one week at a time.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Let's tray soon.
- 53:37Speaker 2: And I don't know, three or four of the question
- 53:41Speaker 2: is still about to Texas game go say we're you know,
- 53:44Speaker 2: we're we're getting ready from Miami, you know, and I'm
- 53:51Speaker 2: still seeing stuff like, well, you know, if A and
- 53:54Speaker 2: M would have been seated fifth or six where they
- 53:57Speaker 2: we're supposed to be, then they played this game and
- 54:00Speaker 2: not that game, and I'm.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Going, you know, that's over. I know you're some of
- 54:07Speaker 1: you may be still losing sleep over that, but that's done.
- 54:11Speaker 2: It's all done. The brackets set. You can't change it,
- 54:15Speaker 2: you can't move it. The Canes, the U will be here.
- 54:22Speaker 2: It was cool when they came a few years ago, right,
- 54:25Speaker 2: Not so cool when went back to Miami and them
- 54:29Speaker 2: didn't play that well but a couple of years ago,
- 54:34Speaker 2: I guess, but very cool when they came. They didn't
- 54:37Speaker 2: play well, you know, that was Mario's first season and
- 54:43Speaker 2: oh they were terrible. But like we've said before, they
- 54:48Speaker 2: have very much upgraded the talent level. I don't know
- 54:53Speaker 2: how much the coaching level has been upgraded. So, yeah,
- 54:58Speaker 2: Alabama didn't in the season well at all. They weren't
- 55:02Speaker 2: playing good football, and you're going, I probably rather play
- 55:05Speaker 2: them then Miami. I'm going no, no, despite the fact
- 55:10Speaker 2: that Alabama had been playing great, You don't want to
- 55:12Speaker 2: play Kaylin de Boor in the playoffs. You want to
- 55:14Speaker 2: play Mario Cristaball in the playoffs. And you have a
- 55:19Speaker 2: chance to play Mario crystal Ball in the playoffs, And hey,
- 55:24Speaker 2: that's not a bad thing, right, it's it's it's a
- 55:27Speaker 2: good thing. Now, you got to get through all the players,
- 55:31Speaker 2: because they've got a lot of talent. But what you're
- 55:35Speaker 2: hoping is it's going to come down to the last
- 55:37Speaker 2: couple of minutes and Mario is going to have to
- 55:39Speaker 2: make a decision.
- 55:42Speaker 1: You know, I know you're hoping, well, it doesn't come
- 55:45Speaker 1: down to the last last minutes.
- 55:46Speaker 2: But if it comes down to the last you know,
- 55:48Speaker 2: a few minutes of the game and Mario has to
- 55:52Speaker 2: make a decision, then I would say A and M
- 55:55Speaker 2: has certain advantages in that particular their case.
- 56:01Speaker 1: All right, go ahead, Mario, prove me wrong. I'm watching CBS.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Jones one of Brian Jones, right, he's one of the
- 56:13Speaker 2: guys up there with new Heisl and it was one
- 56:17Speaker 2: of the games that Miami had lost. I think it
- 56:19Speaker 2: was the SMU actually, after the SMU game, and Brian
- 56:24Speaker 2: Jones in the middle of it goes he can't coach,
- 56:27Speaker 2: and everybody just stared at him on the sets like
- 56:31Speaker 2: that's not really the kinds of things you say, but
- 56:34Speaker 2: he just came out and said it. We'll see marvel
