- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simonia on wor Well. The death of Lindsey
- 0:06Speaker 1: Graham big surprise for everyone, the President, President Trump. Lindsey
- 0:12Speaker 1: Graham was supposed to be on Meet the Press Sunday.
- 0:14Speaker 1: He died Saturday night, so President Trump agreed to call
- 0:17Speaker 1: in and replace him as the guest, the opening guests
- 0:21Speaker 1: for the first ten minutes on Meet the Press, and
- 0:23Speaker 1: then since then, he's done a lot of shows. President
- 0:26Speaker 1: Trump even agreed to do CNN. He will go on
- 0:29Speaker 1: with Jake Tapper. He said, we'd like to CNN get
- 0:34Speaker 1: on a more normal path, straighten itself out. He's actually
- 0:40Speaker 1: talked to a lot of TV shows. Who does he
- 0:43Speaker 1: want to replace Lindsey Graham? Now here's the way it works.
- 0:46Speaker 1: In South Carolina. The governor appoints a replacement that will
- 0:50Speaker 1: fill out the term served till till January. Then in
- 0:54Speaker 1: November they'll have a special election for the permanent replacement.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But the governor of South Carolina, close to Trump McMaster,
- 1:03Speaker 1: will appoint a replacement. Who does Donald Trump think who
- 1:06Speaker 1: would he want? Well, I have somebody that I think
- 1:08Speaker 1: would be great, but I don't want to say it
- 1:11Speaker 1: now because it just, you know, it's too soon. With Lindsey.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I don't want to even talk about anybody, but I
- 1:17Speaker 1: do have somebody that I think is really good. Who
- 1:20Speaker 1: does he want? This may surprise you. Take a guess. No, No,
- 1:28Speaker 1: His choice that he will recommend is Lindsay Graham's sister,
- 1:33Speaker 1: Darlene Graham Nordone. You heard the story that he's had
- 1:38Speaker 1: a rough life. Lindsey Graham. He was in college and
- 1:41Speaker 1: while in college, his mother died, then his father died.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Both parents died while he was in college. He then
- 1:48Speaker 1: adopted his sister, who was thirteen at the time, and
- 1:51Speaker 1: raised her. And pretty courageous guy, Lindsey Graham. So the
- 1:57Speaker 1: sister would be Donald Trump's choice. So we'll see how
- 1:59Speaker 1: that goes. We'll see what happens with that. This legionnaire's disease.
- 2:07Speaker 1: What do you need to know? Well, it's around the
- 2:10Speaker 1: Upper east Side. They found it in about thirty different
- 2:13Speaker 1: water towers. Above the building is that water tower where
- 2:17Speaker 1: the water sits that're used for the building, the air conditioning,
- 2:21Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff. It's actually now thirty one
- 2:23Speaker 1: buildings on the Upper east Side. One of them is
- 2:26Speaker 1: the Guggenheim Museum. Now, the problem if it's in the
- 2:28Speaker 1: water tower and gets in the water system of the building.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It can run through the building, and it can run
- 2:34Speaker 1: through the air conditioning system in the vapor in the mist,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and that's where you can catch it. So if it's
- 2:40Speaker 1: in the water tower of the Guggenheim Museum, you would
- 2:43Speaker 1: think they'd close it, but they have not closed the museum. Now,
- 2:48Speaker 1: how does it get in the water tower. Well, it's
- 2:50Speaker 1: lee Jenella, which is a bacteria, and it can just
- 2:53Speaker 1: naturally happen in a body of water, but it usually
- 2:57Speaker 1: happens in very high temperatures when the water gets really
- 3:01Speaker 1: really warm, and still that's where it can form. Now,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you remember the heat wave of July fourth week. It
- 3:11Speaker 1: was those three days that probably really really really got
- 3:14Speaker 1: this going. So in that kind of heat, that's where
- 3:17Speaker 1: you got to worry about Legionnaire's disease. It's formed in
- 3:19Speaker 1: thirty one of these buildings. Eighteen of the properties have
- 3:23Speaker 1: already cleaned and disinfected their water cooling towers. The other
- 3:28Speaker 1: twelve buildings were ordered to complete it quickly. Hopefully they've
- 3:32Speaker 1: got it done. That would bring it up to thirty.
- 3:35Speaker 1: The museum, I'm sure is on top of it. At
- 3:38Speaker 1: least forty six people caught it in those buildings. And
- 3:43Speaker 1: here's the bad news. They've just discovered it in a
- 3:45Speaker 1: water tower on the Upper west Side. That's the first
- 3:49Speaker 1: sign of it there. The city has tested one hundred
- 3:52Speaker 1: and eighty three cooling towers on the Upper east Side
- 3:56Speaker 1: since the outbreak, which started July second. So this is
- 4:01Speaker 1: where you need a real mayor, not a first time
- 4:03Speaker 1: guy who's in his first job, and you need a
- 4:05Speaker 1: real task force to get out there and really really
- 4:09Speaker 1: start checking these water towers, these cooling towers. But hopefully
- 4:13Speaker 1: they'll get on top of it. But again, the first
- 4:16Speaker 1: report on the Upper west Side has happened. That's not
- 4:21Speaker 1: good news. Hey, FIFA, here's some good news. FIFA is
- 4:28Speaker 1: over on Sunday. Thank god, it's enough with this FIFA.
- 4:33Speaker 1: FIFA is over Sunday night. This is I don't know
- 4:37Speaker 1: what do you call this playoff week or final round,
- 4:41Speaker 1: this round, that round, and then Sunday night it's it.
- 4:44Speaker 1: It will be the final game and then they won't
- 4:47Speaker 1: get the hell owt here. Of course they'll take with
- 4:50Speaker 1: them all those tourists and that's a lot of money
- 4:52Speaker 1: being spent in New York. But we always get plenty
- 4:54Speaker 1: of tourists, but it'll put things back to normal. It's
- 4:58Speaker 1: happened to me a number of times. I'm walking by
- 5:00Speaker 1: a restaurant. I see it's mobbed. It's packed. People can't
- 5:04Speaker 1: even get into the looking in the window, and I said, well,
- 5:05Speaker 1: this must be and then they get up close. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: realized it's because the restaurant has a lot of TVs
- 5:10Speaker 1: with the soccern and they're all watching. It's some even
- 5:12Speaker 1: staring through the window. I don't know what the hell
- 5:14Speaker 1: they're looking at, and you can't tell one team from
- 5:17Speaker 1: the other. Hey, tonight, it's All Star break. All Star Game.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Tonight is home run derby. That's probably the best event
- 5:25Speaker 1: in baseball. Let's be honest. What do you want to
- 5:27Speaker 1: see more than anything else? A home run? In fact,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I would just make that a sport home run derby
- 5:33Speaker 1: every night. It's a great thing to watch. So that's tonight.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Dairy Queen. I love Dairy Queen. I'm a big Dairy
- 5:43Speaker 1: Queen fan. It's delicious. There's nothing better than a Dairy
- 5:46Speaker 1: Queen blizzard. Warren Buffett went to Dairy Queen one day.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Was so good he bought the whole company. He's owned
- 5:52Speaker 1: it for decades and decades and decades, but there's a
- 5:57Speaker 1: little bit of a meltdown there and they've closed it
- 6:00Speaker 1: at least forty six locations. Texas took the biggest hit.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Alaska saw three Dairy Queen's closed down now that I
- 6:08Speaker 1: don't under see. Like remember the heat wave. If you
- 6:11Speaker 1: were walking by a Dairy Queen in a heatwave, you
- 6:12Speaker 1: had to get at one of those blizzards there. But
- 6:15Speaker 1: if you're in Alaska, I think the last thing you'd
- 6:17Speaker 1: want is ice cream in the middle of ice everywhere.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Who needs ice cream in Alaska? I think hot chocolate
- 6:25Speaker 1: business would do better there, but they only have one
- 6:28Speaker 1: left in the whole state, Dairy Queen. You know, Dairy
- 6:31Speaker 1: Queen actually is considered the pioneer of soft served ice cream.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Now it's everywhere everywhere soft serve, but it was Dairy
- 6:39Speaker 1: Queen that really pioneered that nineteen forty in Illinois. Buffett
- 6:44Speaker 1: bought it in nineteen ninety eight. There's almost eight thousand locations,
- 6:47Speaker 1: so it's still doing pretty well. New Blizzard flavors strawberry, mango, Mochi,
- 6:56Speaker 1: Mexican hot chocolate, and that sounds so great. He's speaking
- 7:01Speaker 1: to Meet the Press and all those kind of shows.
- 7:02Speaker 1: When you're watching on Sunday, they always open with these
- 7:06Speaker 1: big guests, you know, like with Lindsey Graham, it was
- 7:08Speaker 1: Donald Trump with the first guest Benjamin NUTTNYE. Who's the
- 7:11Speaker 1: second guest the third segment, and this is almost every
- 7:16Speaker 1: week on these shows, Sunday shows, the third segment Adam
- 7:20Speaker 1: Schiff and Roe Kanna, these two lowlifes. Adam Shift, that lying, rotten, pencilneck, vicious,
- 7:29Speaker 1: hate filled guy. He's just there to attack Trump. He'll
- 7:32Speaker 1: call Trump all kinds of names and accuse him of everything.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So they love having them on. Then this row Conna
- 7:37Speaker 1: popped up about a year ago. He's like the Indian
- 7:39Speaker 1: version of Adam Shift. So these two guys, if you're
- 7:42Speaker 1: watching the Sunday shows you watch Meet the Press every week,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it's Row Conna and Adam Schiff as if they're major
- 7:50Speaker 1: figures in Congress. I guess they've become major figures because
- 7:55Speaker 1: they keep putting them on the Sunday shows. But they
- 7:57Speaker 1: are actually two of the nothingest, most insigtignificant nobody's in Congress.
- 8:02Speaker 1: They're not known for anything there. They've done nothing, accomplished nothing.
- 8:06Speaker 1: He can't point to any legislation or anything these two
- 8:09Speaker 1: guys have done. Yet there they are on every Sunday
- 8:13Speaker 1: show every week, They're on CNN, They're on MSNBC. It
- 8:16Speaker 1: never stops. Why because they'll call Trump more names than
- 8:20Speaker 1: anybody else. So they've made a career. Usually you get
- 8:25Speaker 1: ahead in Congress by famous initiatives or bills or legislation
- 8:30Speaker 1: or taking a stance on some issue. But these guys
- 8:32Speaker 1: did it just attacking Trump. It's a strange world. Now
- 8:37Speaker 1: they speaking of Rocanna. He went to Israel. Now here's
- 8:41Speaker 1: the most anti Israel, anti Semitica. And what the hell
- 8:44Speaker 1: is he doing in Israel except looking for trouble. So
- 8:48Speaker 1: he's accusing Israel of all kinds of things. The Israeli
- 8:53Speaker 1: forces detained them unlawfully knowing him. He was somewhere he
- 8:57Speaker 1: shouldn't have been. But the other thing was, as long
- 9:01Speaker 1: as he was there, they invited him to meet with
- 9:05Speaker 1: the former hostages and survivors of the horrific Hamas attack
- 9:10Speaker 1: on October seventh. Now what politician wouldn't take up that offer.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You're in Israel, they offer to have a meeting with
- 9:19Speaker 1: you. You can meet the hostages and the survivors of October seventh.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Rokanna turned it down absolutely not. Wouldn't talk to them,
- 9:27Speaker 1: wouldn't talk to those people. What a low life. Now,
- 9:31Speaker 1: this anti Semitism has taken over the Democratic Party is
- 9:35Speaker 1: a big problem for some people. If you're ramam Manuel,
- 9:40Speaker 1: and for about a year now he's been looking at
- 9:42Speaker 1: running for president, plotting and scheming is how he could
- 9:46Speaker 1: run in twenty twenty eight. So he's Jewish. What do
- 9:49Speaker 1: you do about that in the anti Semitic Democratic Party. Well,
- 9:52Speaker 1: he went over to Israel last week. Well how's that help? Well,
- 9:57Speaker 1: because he went over there and started denouncing Israel in Israel.
- 10:01Speaker 1: So that's the thing with today's Democratic Party. You got
- 10:04Speaker 1: to look as anti Semitic as you can look to
- 10:08Speaker 1: get anywhere in today's democratic world, even if you're Jewish
- 10:11Speaker 1: like Ram Emmanuel, and shame on him for even doing that.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And you know, if you're a normal Democrat, a normal
- 10:18Speaker 1: Bill Clinton type of Democrat, your enemy is Ram Emmanuel,
- 10:22Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer, Hakim Jeffreys, Nancy Pelosi. The leadership that caved in,
- 10:27Speaker 1: that surrendered your party handed the keys over to these crazies. Hey,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you want a TV studio. There's a great one for sale.
- 10:35Speaker 1: The two best in Los Angeles or the world for
- 10:38Speaker 1: that matter, was NBC Burbank. That's where the Tonight Show
- 10:43Speaker 1: came from. That's where everything came from. Hollywood Squares, Fliff Wilson,
- 10:47Speaker 1: the Dean Martinshall, NBC, the Big Laugh in the Big
- 10:51Speaker 1: Studios in Burbank. The other big that's gone now, it's
- 10:54Speaker 1: been bought and transformed into all kinds of things. But
- 10:59Speaker 1: the other one was CBS Television City in Hollywood, where
- 11:02Speaker 1: the Match Game came from, where Carol Burnett came from.
- 11:06Speaker 1: CBS Television City in Hollywood. Well that's gone too. CBS
- 11:10Speaker 1: left and then somebody bought it, and somebody else bought it.
- 11:12Speaker 1: The current owner apparently a huge amount of debt, so
- 11:18Speaker 1: they're going to sell Television City in Hollywood. It's not
- 11:22Speaker 1: so much the owner's fault. This is the problem in Hollywood.
- 11:25Speaker 1: There's very little production there anymore, for a couple of reasons. One,
- 11:29Speaker 1: Gavin Newsome and all those crazy left wingers running California
- 11:33Speaker 1: and Hollywood have let the place become a war zone.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's a terrible place to live and work now. And
- 11:40Speaker 1: the other thing is the unions in Hollywood. The cost,
- 11:43Speaker 1: so a lot of TV is filmed somewhere else, a
- 11:46Speaker 1: lot of US film. Didn't believe it. That's cheaper in
- 11:48Speaker 1: New York. Sometimes a lot of it's filmed in Toronto
- 11:50Speaker 1: or other cities. It's just cheaper. So there's a lot
- 11:53Speaker 1: less production in Hollywood. That's why they don't need NBC
- 11:57Speaker 1: in Burbank anymore. And that's why Televisions City the new owner.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's beautiful studios, they're magnificent, but they couldn't find enough
- 12:04Speaker 1: work to keep the place going. So it's up for
- 12:07Speaker 1: sale now. Someday they might get a real mayor in
- 12:10Speaker 1: New York, hopefully here too, and turn it around. But
- 12:15Speaker 1: it's up for sale. Hey. Speaking of which, if you
- 12:17Speaker 1: want a hotel, you want to buy a hotel, The
- 12:19Speaker 1: Waldorf is up for sale. It closed about ten twelve
- 12:23Speaker 1: years ago. Some Chinese company bought it and started to
- 12:27Speaker 1: redo it, and then they went out of business. Then
- 12:29Speaker 1: another company in another company, well, the other company spent
- 12:33Speaker 1: the money, spent fortune rebuilding the Waldorf. They reopened it
- 12:36Speaker 1: about eight months ago. It's magnificent. I don't know what happened.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It's also got half apartments of the spectacle. I don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: know what happened, but it's up for sale. This company
- 12:46Speaker 1: wants out. You can buy it. It's up for sale
- 12:49Speaker 1: right now. The Rolling Stones. Who would you think was
- 12:53Speaker 1: the biggest sex maniac of the Rolling Stones. No, it's
- 12:58Speaker 1: not Mick Jagger, not even close. Isn't that funny? It
- 13:03Speaker 1: was Bill Wyman, Bill Wyman, out of all those Nah,
- 13:09Speaker 1: it wasn't Keith Richards either. It was this Bill Wyman
- 13:12Speaker 1: who had this thing. And the Jagger and the others
- 13:14Speaker 1: talked about it in a new book that from day one,
- 13:17Speaker 1: from the beginning, this Bill Wyman had to sleep with
- 13:19Speaker 1: every woman on earth. A lot of guys do this
- 13:23Speaker 1: before a show. They look out through the curtain, they
- 13:25Speaker 1: look out through a little people, they look at the audience,
- 13:28Speaker 1: they see any women they like. They send a couple
- 13:31Speaker 1: of guys out there to get the women and bring
- 13:32Speaker 1: him backstage. This happens all the time. This is perfectly.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Every celebrity does that. But with Wyman, he'd get two
- 13:41Speaker 1: or three or four every night, sleep with them, and
- 13:44Speaker 1: he'd keep a journal of all the women he slept with.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Every woman her name, you know, little notes about that
- 13:50Speaker 1: night it got up to eighteen hundred names. This is
- 13:53Speaker 1: years ago. It got up to eighteen hundred and he
- 13:57Speaker 1: stopped counting. He just got sick of it after eighteen hundred.
- 14:03Speaker 1: He was the oldest rolling Stone too, and he was
- 14:06Speaker 1: the only married rolling Stone. Yet when he joined the band,
- 14:09Speaker 1: he just let loosen became the craziest of all of them.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Jagger was not really like that, and believe or not,
- 14:16Speaker 1: Keith Richard very romantic type. If he was with a woman,
- 14:20Speaker 1: he would pretty much be loyal and he could count
- 14:25Speaker 1: them all on his fingers. Nothing like the eighteen hundred
- 14:29Speaker 1: of Bill Wyman. A lot of stuff coming out about
- 14:31Speaker 1: the Stones right now because they got this new album out,
- 14:35Speaker 1: which everybody loves pretty good. Also, Jagger doing an interview
- 14:39Speaker 1: where they asked him about Bruce Springsteen, who takes to
- 14:43Speaker 1: the stage in the middle of two songs will do
- 14:45Speaker 1: a twenty minute tirade yelling and screaming and cursing about Trump.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Jagger said, it's just awful. He likes Bruce Springsteen, but
- 14:55Speaker 1: he said, that's the last thing you want to do.
- 14:57Speaker 1: And Jagger, this is the most common sense thing in
- 15:00Speaker 1: the world. He said. It costs a lot of money
- 15:02Speaker 1: to come see a concert, and people are there to
- 15:04Speaker 1: have a good time and be entertained. They don't need
- 15:07Speaker 1: a lecture, even if they agree with you. They're there
- 15:10Speaker 1: to be entertained, forget their troubles, enjoy themselves. They're not
- 15:14Speaker 1: there to get all riled up over politics. He said.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Springsteen is crazy to be doing that stuff. Good for
- 15:20Speaker 1: Mick Jagger. Hey, we'll take some calls next. Eight hundred
- 15:24Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 15:27Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten
