Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to OnlyFin's Q&A Live, a question and answer show as exclusive to OnlyFin's.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: And Miami Dawkins Discord server.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now here's your host.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Out!
- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: We're on this only fence Q&A live a show that we do once a week, although this is draft week So we're doing it three times this week Maybe four maybe I'll do a show on Saturday I don't believe I've ever done a show on Saturday, but I'll do one on Saturday since they can add so many players on day two Yeah, day one's gonna be a lot of fun 11 and 30 but
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: Day two is where the real fun is going to begin because the guts of this team if this team is going to be any good down the line like we're going to look four years down the road and we're going to look back at this draft if they do not date two out of the park they got four third rom picks and the second rom pick if they knock day two out of the park
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's reasonable expectation that three years from now we're going to look back at this draft and we're going to say, you know what?
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: John Erick Sullivan, you know, we're good now because of that draft because he found three starters on day two.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: You know what we're going to do today's show and today's show is we're going to talk about 11 and what are the reasonable expectations of what's going to be there at 11 and what they're going to be able to choose from.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then in the second half of the show we'll do what we always do which is take all of your questions in the chat.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: uh but first let me tell you if you want to if you want to participate in these shows you want to watch these shows live you gotta go to our discord and to do that I was but a link and every one of our promotions so you could click on the link, but please do it on the desktop.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: I get at least
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say three to four questions a week of, you said it was 499 all-axis.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: You said it was 299 read only.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: Why are they charging me 499 and 649?
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's Apple.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's the Apple Upcharge.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: Don't do it on your phone.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: Go to a desktop, sign up on a desktop.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: Avoid paying extra money.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: Why are you going to pay Apple extra money when you don't have to?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: Pay us what we're asking, which is $2.99 read only and $4.99 all access to it on a desktop.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: We do recommend you do the all access to what you could interact with your fellow fans on our discord.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that's discord.gg forward slash only friends.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we don't for now, and I'm Fernando Mendoza's going number one.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, he threw the first pitch out at a Marlin's game last night, and good God.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: That was a terrible pitch.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you guys saw it.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'm inspiring stuff.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna be a better, he's gonna be a better quarterback than he is a pitcher.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just say that.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: It did not look good.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, we know Fernando Mendoza is going to go number one.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to start this draft at number two with the jets.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: And what are the reasonable expectations?
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: Now, there's been some people online that have, have done God's work, really, okay?
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: And they've, they've accumulated the aggregate of 46 mock traps.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and the dates, it's instructive.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: They began on April 19th because we know that mock drafts tend to change very, very often.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: From like if you look at a mock draft from February and you look at one from now it's like two different things like completely two different things they are drafts a mock drafts from From February, which is essentially when they started that do not have TJ Parker in the top 50 And now he's a first rompick
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: At least he's my choice as a lock at the in the first round, which is not a consensus all the way around like if he asks 10 mock drafters 10 analysts
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: five might say that TJ Parker is going to be a first rompick.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think it should be 10 out of 10.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm almost certain he'll be a first rompick.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure I didn't, you know, I'm not, you know, I didn't stumble upon the nuclear code to you know.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think my eye is so discerning and so much better than everybody else is I think everybody else sees what I saw.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: on film.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I think TJ Parker is probably, and if you listen to our podcast on Monday when we did our annual mock draft, we mocked him to the bills.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, at 26 so Ben news for us of that happens is my thinking I think he's a really good player But let's get back to what we're talking about here and what are the reasonable expectations for 11 now for the jets the most mocked guy have been has been our vote Rees if you listen to Daniel Jeremiah yesterday He was saying that it's leaning kind of David belly.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's gonna be our real race
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: I've looked at at this every which way and even their actions seemed to indicate that, you know, Arvel Reese is going to be the guy, I believe they had a meeting scheduled with him and they just canceled it and they said we have enough information.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: They essentially followed him around everywhere he went this all season.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: They were in heavy attendance at his prote.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, our role reads to the Jets and number two, and this is where it gets really interesting because this is the, and look, we're not gonna make any trades here, but I think that this is the first spot where there could be a trade.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: And that's at number three with the Cardinals.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: The most mocked guy to the Cardinals at number three is our role reads, because if David Bailey goes number two, then our role res goes number three.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: And if our role res goes number two, then David Bailey goes number three.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people have tried the shoe horn, Francis Maui Noan in here, and he makes a ton of sense because they do need an offensive tackle to play opposite of Paris Campbell, but here's the issue with that.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now with the revelation that he's probably out for the offseason, he'll be back in training camp if he gets his back issue taking care of immediately, which is the responsible thing to do, at least that's the way it's been put.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: then maybe they're not too hot after after Ham.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: Now Jeremiah Lovers, like I who's been mocked here as well, I don't believe it.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that they're going to take Jeremiah Lovers here at number three.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: Does Francis Maui know what?
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: Fifth here, absolutely.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think that he will be the obvious.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_02]: pick, and this is where I don't agree with a lot of the mock drafts that keep insisting on them taking either Avol Resort David Bailey.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at a little graphic that I posted on, on only offense by the way, the third most mocked player to the Cardinals is French, Smaw and all, and guess what?
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that it's been a smoke in mirrors for the most part with the with the cardinals.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think that their initial instinct will be to trade out of here, but if they can.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'll take France tomorrow.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: It just makes too much sense.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes too close to it's still for right, which brings you to Tennessee and this is another spot where I think it's actually, you know, pretty, pretty cut and dry.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: The mocks have Jeremiah love as the consensus here, and in a big, big margin, 54.3% of the mocks have him as their top guys, Sonny Stiles number two, David Bailey number three, look, we know who's the defense coordinator over there, Robert Sala, well he's the, he's the head coach now, so he's running the defense.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, you can look at Sunny Styles and I think that Sunny Styles is going to be a guy that's going to help Tennessee.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: So I think Sunny Styles is their Fred Warner.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's, look, if you look at that team, they need pretty much everything.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think I believe.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: I have a pretty strong conviction on this that the Tennessee Titans have the worst roster in football.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I understand, yeah, you know the dolphins, no, no, no.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: The Tennessee Titans have the worst roster in football.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: They need pretty much anything.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sunday's style is a transformative figure.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: Special for that defense.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think Robert Sella is all in on trying to help that side of the ball.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: And Sunday's style is the most obvious choice.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: Which brings me to the Giants and number five.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: And the Giants have a bunch of things that they have going for them right now.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: If he talked to all his giant fans, they liked their quarterback Jackson dark.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, they got Malik neighbors Coming back Right So you got Malik neighbors coming back You got Jackson dark.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: You got a dual quarter who had a great second half of his of his rookie season He was pretty bad in the early half, but in the second half you kind of saw.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this is why he got taken where he got taken
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: They got kale on tibido, they got brine burn to one of the best edge players in football.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: They could do pretty much anything here and sell it, right?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: To the have the skill, the requisite skill position talent to help Jackson dart, I think Jeremiah love is kind of a guy that would work here.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: Now if you look at the mocks,
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: don't put me in charge by the way because we put me in charge I'm taking care of down here and not even thinking about it twice.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: But Jeremiah love does he make sense here for them because I believe he does.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: Get checks and start somebody in in the back field to help him.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's a scatterbook is not it.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: At least he's not it going forward.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: So you want to start building something out on that offense because you're
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: And this will begin countdown slide which I don't expect to go too much further.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: The mocks have sunny styles here because they don't have Tennessee taking him.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: But if you look at the mocks, the top guy for Tennessee is Jeremiah Love of 54.3 and the top guy for sunny styles is at 39.1 for the giant.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: So you just flip flop them and it still helps our exercise to figure out what's going to be on the board for Miami at 11, right?
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: So we're just going to put Jeremy I love here because we're taking this in blocks just to try to figure out what's available to Miami.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now the Cleveland Browns have Carnell Tate as your top target at 28.3.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Friends of mine know who already went and Monroe
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at that offensive line, there's a gaping hole right where he could slot in and start right away.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Monroe Freeling is a pretty safe bet.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, it's something that I will be doing.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: I will be making this bet I believe.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to tell you who it is because they're not a sponsor, but there is an app that gives you the ability to call your shots.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: And if you don't want to lay massive numbers, okay, in trying to call our bell reached to the Jets at number two.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_02]: There's a pretty good number if you could nail Monroe Freedling to the Browns, and that's one that I will be doing, and number six, which brings you to number seven, and Cornell Tate, who's 28.3% on most mox, Jeremiah my love is number two and sunny styles of number three here, all of those guys already went.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: So remember, we're just using what the aggregate of the mocks is telling us.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: So Carnotate at seven at eight.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's Rubin Bane at 30.4% when Sword Delane at 19.6.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: Carnotate Carnotate already went.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: So to see the Rubin Bane, a Mansour Delane.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: Now Mansour Delane went to LSU.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: They've had a lot of contact with him.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: and I think he fits as well, which begins Ruben Bains move down and if you look at the very next team, which is the Chiefs.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: They have my surgery lane at 26.1.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, we're taking this in blocks.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: We're not really making a mock draft here.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: We're trying to figure out what's on the board for Miami.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: And the chiefs have room ban at number two at 23.9%.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: Frances Maui, Noah, who's already gone at 15.2%.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: That leaves us with Rubin' Bane.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe this is, I don't know if it's on the app that I'm referring to, but if it were, I think you could get a number on this, but I think Rubin' Bane goes to the chiefs here at number nine.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: and he's off the board for Miami which brings you to number 10 and it's the giants once again.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: Do you believe the Jordan Tyson stuff?
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you do believe the Jordan Tyson stuff, the dolphins are going to have a very interesting decision to make here in the very next pick, right?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you believe the Jordan Tyson stuff, then, and look, if we're going to go by what they're saying on these mocks, Jordan Tyson 23.9%, this is a lot of the, it's, it's a lot of the noise.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: in the last two last two, essentially it is the last two days.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: A couple of mocks, Todd McShake talked about it for you.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think it did a segment on it with many times as far as Jordan Tyson to a number 10 to the Giants.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Downs gets the second most at 19.6%.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think the, I think the
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think the giants probably are in on Jordan Tyson.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think the giants will look at this pick at 10 and think to themselves.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: We're either using it or we're training down and targeting Jordan Tyson, but I don't see how killed down Zaxa gonna make it to them and they're not going to take them, which would mean that
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: The dolphins are gonna be presented with a very interesting dropper on draft day.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_02]: David Bailey, I believe we'll make it to Miami.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: So as it calabed down, is it Jordan Tyson?
- 15:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't look, if you believe the Jordan Tyson stuff, then calabed down will be on the board for Miami.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't, then you're gonna have a pretty sparse board.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going to go ahead and say the killdowns is out, okay?
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: Because if he does drop to Miami, I think he's a draft pick.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think he'll bounce is a draft pick at 11.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_02]: But we're just going to take him off the board for this exercise.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: And what Miami is presented with at 11 is a board that will have David Bailey on there.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: Do they have a good valuation on him?
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: I've spoken to a couple of people that tell me that they haven't really done too much work on him.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, by the way, all of this gets jumbled at number two, because if the jets take David Billy at number two, that drops all of their own rease right to the giants at number five, which then could have somebody like sunny styles, making it to Miami at 11, wouldn't that be interesting.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: So the board at 11 for Miami.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: If you believe the consensus and the aggregate of 46 mock drafts from April 19th on, if
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: And why would it, it's a lot of different people, it's a lot of different analysts, right?
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: And Bo and I included hours in there as well, just to throw in and we don't change the numbers too much on the aggregate of all the mock drafts.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: But if you do believe the aggregate of all the mock drafts,
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: In the David Bailey, or sunny styles could be that dropper, and the board is looking like your model of Koi, Makai Lemmon, Spencer Fano, Kiloblomo, Dylan Thenemann, Thenemann is a guy who I would love at 30.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he'd make it there.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: Kenyan Sadik, Keldrick Fawk, which in my opinion would make Spencer Fano, the most likely pick for the Miami Dolphins at 11.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: All right, excited, are you excited to that get you, your blood pumping, the board didn't work out.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: Did it, you didn't like that, huh?
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: That board didn't work out for you, yeah, it really did it, okay.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: But hey, that's why you get the aggregate of all these mock drafts to try to reasonably
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I guess I could go to break with this.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: The reasonable expectations are that the dolphins will not have a friendly board.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Even though they got a little bit of luck there with the Dexter Lawrence trade to the Bengals.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: So I guess that's the headline.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: I wish I had better news.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the headline is now.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now here's the thing that would that induce Miami to try to trade down.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would, right?
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: What would you just stay put and take?
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: I own it.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_02]: Penn State Guard.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's the best guard in the draft, best interior offense alignment in the draft.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's a need.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they pretty much have needs at pretty much everywhere.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: But would you just, I would, like, if I'm presented with this board and I can't trade down for any meaningful assets,
- 18:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just do the simple thing.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: Just take Ioni, you know, and I plug them in as a starter on the inside, probably a left guard.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I think about moving the joiners of Ioni to right guard.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: But that's what the board was looking like to me.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: This is not me again.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: This is not me doing a mock draft.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: This is me taking the aggregate of all the mock drafts and putting them together, and it's not a little bit.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's 46 of them.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: 46 mock drafts Analyst from all stripes and This is essentially their consensus of what the board is going to look like.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm left with this conclusion most likely pick Spencer Final
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: BPA on the board in my opinion, I own it, all right.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: And with that, let me tell you about underdog.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: The NBA playoffs are finally here and underdog is the best place to get in on all the action.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: Playing on underdog is easy, just pick whether your favorite player will go higher or lower on stats like points, rebound, steels, and more.

- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: I've been saying this all week, but Jason Tatum higher on points in this series against the Sixers.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: Sixers have no hope to defend him in this series.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to have Carplon.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: She's already gone higher in the first game.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_02]: I look for him to continue for the rest of this series, which should not go too long.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: Download the app today and use a promo code $3 to score $50 in bonus entries when you play your first $5.

- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: All right, time to turn off my little aggregate.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: MacDraft thing.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: So you guys excited?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: Was I a wet blanket on this?
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: Did I just throw a wet blanket on your on your Thursday party plans?
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think I did on on my own, but yeah, it's uh, I don't foresee a favorable board.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Ruben thinks going to make it to them, and I don't think Francois and I know what's going to make it to them, I just don't.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, it's smoke screen season, you know, Francois and I didn't not miss a practice in four years at the University of Miami, did not miss a snap.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: of game time.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: He'll get his issue.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: He'll get his procedure done right away.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: He'll be backed by training camp and he'll be starting for somebody at right tackle.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that that's much of a of a problem.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: Ruben Bane, if he makes it to the dolphins at 11, I don't know how they pass up on him.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think he'll make it to them at 11.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: I really like the chiefs to take him at 9.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a perfect.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: perfect fit for the Kent City Chiefs at nine all right let's start with your questions first question
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: Belly, if somebody could put in the draft, and in the chat, was this a downer?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: Did I, did I be in your Cheerios?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_02]: Are you discouraged?
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: All right, first question.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: You have found them aside, you're staring at Bain or downs out of 11.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_02]: Which do you take in which do you think current Bain Trust, the current Brain Trust?
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think the current brain trust takes Caleb Downs and I would take Caleb Downs.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Downs is my number two player on the board.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: My number one player on the board is Sunny Stiles.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I love the University of Miami.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: I love the football program.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: I love everything about it, I love the players, I love the coaches, I love the fandom, really.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: I love going to games, I love the University of Miami, but you know, I take this, this, this stuff seriously.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: I want the dolphins to get the better players.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: I want them to get the best players.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is a year where there's a lot of cane players that they can use and would be perfect fits.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: But my top two players on the board are two Ohio State guys.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's Caleb Downs and Sunny Stiles.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: Not in that order though.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sunny Stiles is the is the best player on my board and Caleb Downs is my second best player on the board.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: The Hurricanes come in pretty close.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: I got French Smawinoa.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: My dream scenario out of 11 has essentially three guys that I'm almost certain won't be there Which is Caleb down sunny styles Francis Maui Noah and the fourth guys Rubin Bane who I think there's a reasonable expectation if the chiefs don't take Rubin Bane His other landing spots are probably New Orleans, so it's New Orleans or the chiefs So if you make it through those two teams Rubin Bane will be there for the Miami doll funds out of 11
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, next question.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: How many receivers will we draft to?
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think two, and if I had to be bold about this, I think they'll take two in the third round.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_02]: That four third round picks, I think they'll use two of them on why receivers.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: Why do I think that?
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: I've looked at the board over and over and over again, and it becomes very, very rich in that 80 to 100 range.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very very deep class.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to miss what they use 43 on a wide receiver I think it's a possibility what they use 30 if they're if they're evaluation of somebody like a Denzel Boston or or Pricell is really that high Then yeah, they might use it.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: They might use 30 on a wide receiver Remember it's premium position if you get the game the the extra year on the contract.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's usually a good thing
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: But if I had the guests, they take two, and they take them both in the third round.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: Next question, third round.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_02]: Have any group of ten players you would like fins to draft with their four third rounders?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, look, let's go position for position.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just going off the top of my head.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: Quarterback, no.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_02]: Running back, man, if Mike Washington is there, right, in the third round.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the New Orleans, uh, I mean, the, the Nordadame, jitterian price is not going to be there in the third round.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a fantasy, but let's just say for argument's sake, Mike Washington is there in the third round.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: You got four third round picks.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: You could avoid to take, you could've, you could've, you could've afford to take a flyer on a running back.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's, that's, that's going to touch the ball, uh, you know,
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: A chance of star, but he's not a bell cow.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to find 150, 150 carries elsewhere.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: If you're going to be a run first team, it's a reasonable expectation.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be 400 carries from the half-back position, right?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: So if there's 400 carries from the half-back position, you're not giving a chant 300 carries.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: You're likely giving him about 250, right?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: So you've got to find another 150 somewhere.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody has to get those 150.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: Why not a third round pick, right?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I run in back Mike Washington's a guy that I would think about.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: At wide receiver, I like Ted Hurst, I like Skylar Bell, not in that order, I like Skylar Bell better than Ted Hurst.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: But those are the two guys that I would look at in the third round as being in my group of 10.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm gonna take you through every single position, okay?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: And Malachi fields throw him in too.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's the third guy.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: I tied in Oscar Delp and Sam Rush of Stanford.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the two tight ends that I would look at in the third round offensive tackle, not really.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: If you want an offensive tackle, one that's going to get
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to have a reasonable expectation to start either this year or be just slotted in in the following year.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_02]: You got to take one high.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: You got to use 1130 or 43.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: If not, you're probably should out of luck.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: If you're waiting to the third round, you're not going to do it.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: Guard or center.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: Nope.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: 9 to the third round.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: Edge.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Also, no.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: You got to get your Edge at 1130 or 43.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: at least that's the way that my board keeps shaking out.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: Linebacker, it gets interesting.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: What Anthony Hill make it to the third round?
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so, but I think that he's a guy that you would absolutely have to take if he's there in the third round.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see that there's anything that there's any scenario whatsoever where Anthony Hill makes it to the top of the third round and he's not BPA.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: like you know they have that little graphic or janitor my says all the best of the rest and he has his top 10 i think i think he hill if it's the start of the third round i think i think he will be the number one player on that board so like i don't care what you have at the position i don't care i don't care if you have fred warner and real quansmith at the position you know i think he hill is somebody you just take in the top of the third round because i think he would be the bp a and be the b the bp a by large margin
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: Cornerback Chris Johnson would he be there in the third round?
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt it.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: Julie Nill at Neil.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think would be Jenny Kilgore.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think would be he's a safety by the way.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: AJ Halsey will not be there in the third round.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: So it gets a little iffy as well as far as your high end safety and your high end corners Dennings I think is is is is a possibility as well
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: in the third round at corner and I think that's pretty much that's pretty much it yeah next question will we draft a tight end I would hope so
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: right this is a brain trust not that they they're the ones who did this but they took two titans in the third round back to back in Tucker craft and look my script now look my script sucks okay like he's not a very good player Tucker craft is one of the best titans in all of football so they doubled up at the position and they hit bingo with one of them
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Now, will they do something like that?
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, but if you look at the roster, you kind of need that inline guy, right?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's all such as not that guy.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I would expect them to invest one of those starts, like I've had to guess.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Those four third round picks, I think, two wide receivers, a tight end and one miscellaneous.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: That could be pretty much anything, a safety, a running back, pretty much anything.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that they'll take a quarterback though in the third round, I don't think they will.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, next question, in regards to moving down and gaining picks, how many top 100 players can we afford to play?
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, it looked, that's a great, great, great, great, great question, okay?
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: Because we've been talking about this at some point, like, you just gotta say, all right, enough.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe even defer a pick into 2027.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, could they do something like, let's say at 30, they trade 30 and they gain a second round pick, a late second, but get a first rounder in 2027.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they could do something like that.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's what that pick is worth, by the way.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's not, you know, you're not getting a haul.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: You're essentially just getting market value for that pick.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: Could they do something like that?
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, is that sexy?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, because you're not getting the better player in 2026 but you're adding considerable ammo for 2027, right?
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's something that they could do and they could do that with their salary cap in mind.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_02]: In mind, as far as how many top 100 players can we afford to pay, I think this is a limit.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think 70 is probably the limit.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like you're already playing with fire once you add like an eighth or ninth top 100 player.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: You got another first round pick.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's going to be tough.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, these contracts are all guaranteed, especially in the first round.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: And the second round, too.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: Remember last year, all the second round has got guaranteed money.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_02]: Get almost their entire contract guaranteed.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: That seems to be a thing going forward.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: All right, next question, what will be the shock of the draft in your opinion if the cardinals actually go through with taking Jeremiah love at number three.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: That would be a shock to me because it's running bad, right?
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a team that needs so much.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: And they actually have a tackle that's worth it, right?
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: A tackle is pretty damn good.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: I like Paris Campbell a lot.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: They got nothing on the other
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: They need help on the edge, considerable edge help on the edge.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to have their choice of either Rvel Rees or David Bailey.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: So this is a team that will be boldly passing up on French Maui Noa and David Bailey or Rvel Rees and taking a running back.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: So my shock would be if the Cardinals went through with it and actually took Jeremiah Love at number three.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_02]: Next question with Gerard McCoy injury.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think he could be there at 30.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and would you take him if he is I'd be tempted to take him like he's he's my CB 1 and Look, I've said look all I needed was like proof of life and we got it once you fired off that 434 or whatever the hell he ran at his pro day So yeah, I would take him at 30.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's considerably less risk taking him at 30 than taking him out of 11
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, what I take them?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Next question.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Is there any chance Ted Hearst makes it to 75?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: Or they have to take him at 43.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: Look, that's going to be the dance, right?
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about it on the podcast on Monday.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he's one of those guys that he can make a case for is going to be not overdrafted.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: But we just got it wrong.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, the draft community just got it wrong on Ted Hearst and he's not a third wrong prospect.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's an early day to prospect and he will go in the second round and possibly even push the end of the first round.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like that's the possibility.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: So, if I had to guess.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's 50-50, so you always, you know, you always take the side of caution and you take them at 43.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you're a valuation of 10 herpses, that good, that you're wondering whether he's worth it at 43, or would you wait?
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: Are you two nervous to just wait to 75?
- 33:39[SPEAKER_02]: Then you take them at 43.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 33:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's 50-50, and I know that I'm sitting on the fence with that one, but yet, Ted Hurst, he would be my pick in the top of the third round, it would be makes it to you there.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: And not because I think he's a better player than Skylar Bell.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: I do not.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think Skylar Bell is the better player.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: If you compare the two, I think Skylar Bell is the better player.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the NFL thinks that Ted Hurst is the better player.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I would obviously take Ted Hurst first.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_02]: because remember you're not drafting for yourself, you're drafting against everybody else.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: If you take Scalor Bell, somebody behind you is going to say, look at these idiots taking Scalor Bell.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just go ahead and take Tedhurst who is who we wanted in the first place, right?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: So I would use our first third rompick on Tedhurst and then probably use our second third rompick on Scalor Bell because I think it's getting tight right there as well.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, Tedhurst at 43, this thing possibility you might just have to do it.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: it all depends on what their board says right uh next question what are your top two wishes at eleven and thirty and alternatively over your two biggest disappointments for the same picks.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: Biggest disappointments would be if they just did the the cookie cutter stuff and took Spencer final out eleven and at thirty they took like you know desperate need like Chris Johnson like something like that.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: Right, my wish is is that the board shakes out for them and they can take something like Ruben Bayon at 11 Right, or kill up downstrobs to them at 11 and At 30 they take TJ Parker.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine a combination of Kill up downs and TJ Parker at 11 and 30?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna be pretty damn ecstatic here the next day.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's a that's a hell of a haul for the first round, right?
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: Or Ruben Bayon and H.A.H.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Also, which is what we actually accomplished
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: on the podcast on Monday, right?
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's that's pretty damn good as well.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_02]: Next question.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: Cash is how it seems to be dropping on some boards.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: Where would you be willing to take him nowhere?
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be willing to take him on the hurricanes if he came back with another year of eligibility.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like it for the NFL.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: With all the talk of trading jaylon, right?
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: Is that something that would happen during the draft or would that be later in the
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: It would happen during the draft probably for future compensation, not a pick in 2026.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I think they'll talk about it, they'll try to get that done to try to add essentially try to add a seventh rompick this year, like maybe they do something like a seventh rompick this year and a six-rounder next year, something like that.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know, or a swap next year where they gain a fourth, but they trade a fifth something like that for next year.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: And they add a seventh this year.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably something that they would try to do.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: If you mix that out of the draft, yeah, General Wright is a guy, especially if they take somebody like Mike Washington in the third round, General Wright is a guy that could be traded.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: Right before camp.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: or who knows, maybe at the deadline if somebody takes an injury, General Wright's just sitting there, you know, taking D&P's as Mike Washington gets carries behind Devon HN, and then they just sent General Wright somewhere for just a six-round pick or something.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: The following year, remember, uh...
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: This regime has no loyalty to what the previous regime paid for some of these players.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: So they take a loss, a quote unquote loss, on Jalen Wright, they don't care, it's not their loss.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, next question.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: The only the only other thing with Tyson to Giants is neighbor's had a pretty serious injury later on.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, he had the the ACL, but I do expect him to be fine for that.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: For this coming season, neighbor's had a little player, by the way.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: uh, likelihood is just that, but Bailey falls there.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see how you don't take him.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't do, they didn't do work on him because he shouldn't last to 11.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: Am I a fan of David Bailey?
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a bigger fan of David Bailey than I am of Rubin Bang.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: For that matter, I kind of like TJ Parker better than David Bailey because I think TJ Parker at 30 is better value than David Bailey at 11.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_02]: Now, well, do I think that TJ Parker will make it the 30?
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: I do not.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: But if he's there, I don't see any scenario whatsoever where he is not, BPA.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: Now, Miami takes Ruby and Bayon out of 11.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: TJ Parker is somehow there at 30.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: Would I take him?
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's my killing ants with a sludge hammer or scenario.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: You wanted to take a complete weakness and make it a strength?
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, your edge position would become a strength.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you added Ruben Bane and TJ Parker in OneDrive.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: Next question, getting Vega at left card and moving during the back to his original position in right guard will possibly fix both guard spots, help fix Jonah.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: Next question, I still want to hope one of the blue chip guys slips to 11, but final and Vega are great.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, at least that's my evaluation of this.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think the most obvious, the most obvious pick is Spencer Final.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: The BPA is Vega.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: I own it.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: At least that's how the board seems to check out.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's if we believe the aggregators, the aggregate of all of the mock drafts from all of the draft analysts.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: Next question.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: Finalize the pick would be hard to be upset with.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: Finalize solid hard to complain.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: The one I just don't see is mensuitalane.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not a fan as well.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think he's a fit for this scheme.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: How old do you rate final?
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: I like them as OT2, but that's the thing man when you're picking an 11 Not that bothers me, but you know, it's not sexy doesn't You know, you're not gonna get a fist pump out of me.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_02]: You probably get a golf clap out of me when you're taking OT2 at 11 I gotta get the best at the position
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: At least what I consider to be the best at a position group.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like we get Rubin' Bane at 11, I could make the reasonable argument that Rubin' Bane Jr. is the best edge on in the draft, so I'd be happy with it.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: You take French smell and I know I'm certain he's the best offensive tackle in the draft, so I'd be happy with it as well.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of downs might be the best offensive player, same thing for sunny styles.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: I own it, we know is the best interior offensive lineman.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_02]: like that's what i want to do uh you take phantom i'm pretty certain you're taking OT2 does that get my blood pumping not really uh next uh next uh next question i'm very discouraged that somebody says yeah i'm sorry about that uh you ruin everything off you said did well don't blame me those are the aggregators the the aggregate of all the mock drafts you know i didn't do it in fact none of my mock drafts are in there so
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't do it, uh, Dana Jeremiah, Kyle Krabs, those, those people did, Mo Khyper, that's who you had to blame.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: Todd McShay, uh, not discouraged, that is just the reality of how the board is most likely to play down.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, uh, I'm even scared that finals is not available to you, the Jesus Christ, like this guys.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: presenting the worst of all possible scenarios.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: Next question, what running backs do you like in the later rounds?
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like too much in labor rounds.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: I like maybe I'm lost a little bit.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_02]: I like maybe I'm lost a whole lot if you mix it the day three.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's the guy from Texas A&M.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: I like him a whole lot.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's the guy that I probably would have target it.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: Thoughts on Malachi feels I really like him.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: Ted Hearst already said enough.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: But Ted Hearst, Dion Burke's not a fan.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: That's just to be quick on it.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned you're not as high on Jacob Rodriguez why because I like Anthony Hill a whole lot better.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think him and Brooks would be an amazing pairing and a lot of difference to do everything they want.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think he's a fine player.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: But we're taking an off-ball line back.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus Christ, we're targeting Jacob Rodriguez.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: Not Anthony Hill.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: Look, there's nothing wrong with the new Corvettes.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, in fact, I was talking to somebody, friend of mine who was a salesman.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: and he was telling me oh well we just got the new Corvettes on the lot and I'm like oh yeah really and he goes retails 247 and I'm like 247 what 247 thousand and like you guys are asking 247 thousand dollars for a Corvette really and he was like yeah it beats a Lamborghini 0 to 60 smokes a Ferrari and I'm like okay that's nice but it's not a Ferrari
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: and you want $247,000 for Corvette.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's what Jacob Rodriguez is.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's taking the Corvette when the Ferrari is sitting right there in Anthony Hill.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_02]: So we're taking an off-ball lineback and my God, you're targeting Jacob Rodriguez.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm discouraged.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: Next question, with halfway,
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: emphasizing importance of an elite safety and it's game how aggressive would they be with Halsey or another safety at 30 or 43 Look, I think AJ Halsey if you want him, I think 30 is pretty much like you gotta do it Because that's that sweet spot for AJ Halsey to be going somewhere.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: So at 43 if Halsey's there are 43 like how lucky can you get?
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I think if you want him, you take him at 30, and you don't play with it.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't see the team drafting guys like Skylar Bell who are one year producers who will be 24 before week one.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, that's your assessment.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: My assessment is that Skylar Bell is a great player.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_02]: And going to be a very, very good player, a very good pro.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: Who be your Charles Harris disaster pick this year?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I'm not a fan of Malachi Lawrence.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I'll just say that.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't think that he has any chance whatsoever to be a dolphin, because I think that the Cowboys actually do like him a lot, and the Cowboys are at 20.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_02]: So that's one, what's another one?
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like what would be a good, look, I'm not a fan of Peter Woods either.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'm not a fan of Peter Woods, that would be another one.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: or if they'd trade down could be a guy that could be on the board and could entice them a little bit.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, that's what I had to think about.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I'm not a fan of Dunzel Boston either at 30.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, I guess those are the three that I gave you.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: One of my biggest takeaways this year of watching film, can't discount would be the perfect nickel for the dolphins, but we can't get him, then Jacobi Thomas will be a great backup plan.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: There, I like Jacobi Thomas on day three, but to pretend that Jacobi Thomas and Can't Tiscott are even in the same tier of player is insanity.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: Can't disguise one of the better defenders in this draft.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: Period.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's my best nickel in this draft.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: And like I had to do a list, he might even be top 10.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: Top 10 defender.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: in this draft and can't discuss a guy that I would target a 43 30 no because that that's way too rich 43 absolutely Next question do you believe what has been said about this regime not taking older players?
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I do it's been said to me several times
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: where's that just a smokescreen i'm hoping it's a smokescreen because if it's not a smokescreen that means that can't a scott who we just finished talking about right there uh... would not be in their plans uh... what are you betting on the on the i can't mention that up they're not a sponsor and that's uh... it's a contractual obligation that i can't mention
- 45:54[SPEAKER_02]: them, but this person's asking me, what am I betting?
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: Rubin' banged to the chiefs at nine.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to call my shot right there.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: Next question.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: Is it Rodriguez and M. Lymebacker?
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: He's off-ball in college.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: Look, if he was just a fill Lymebacker, he would not be taken on day two.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: He replaced Dodson.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but remember, it's interchangeable.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: Most schemes are interchangeable.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_02]: Um, with the way Hathley runs his defense through the safety position, which players do or do not have the football intelligence and versatility for that role, uh, I like kill Gore, I like Halsey.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, kill up downs, like if kill up downs is that 11, I think this, this is all becomes really, really easy.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: What's your comp for defense attack?
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let Kaila Proctor.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: No concern about competition.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: My comp is a collage of fancy of the bucks.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's a guy who came on very, very, very, very strong last year.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: Had a very good season.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's my comp for Kaila Proctor.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: I do like him a lot.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: What's the best place to watch the draft in your opinion?
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: Listen to
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: To CalCrab's pod today, he's going to give you the details of where he's going to be, which is the Dolphin Straft Party for Thursday.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to be there with his Aving Howard with all the Gordon.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a fun time hat by all, and where they're doing it is a pretty cool place.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: So, I would recommend there.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: Next question, we'll take a couple of more.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: We're running a little long here.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_02]: Have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you, have you
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: I heard that Sony style is one of the one player the Dolphins would move up for what would you be willing to give up to move up and grab styles.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: It depends on what what the board is shaking up like, you know, can I stand, stand, you know, stand pat and just take Rubin bang or stand pat and take care of the downs then it probably do something like that.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_02]: But it would be expensive if you want to move up for Sony styles.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: All right, last question.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's going to have to be the last question.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we'll call it right there.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right, they'll be more and more and more content on the feed this week.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: Stay tuned, I believe Kyle Crabbs and Simon Clancy will have their show.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: And they're gonna get the last word on our feed before the draft.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_02]: I believe that's gonna be Thursday morning.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, beyond the lookout for that pod, which should be all kinds of instructive and smart.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_02]: And, fun to listen to.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for listening, to only fans hear a name lie.
