- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:32Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:36Speaker 2: Trey Trendholm, at Raj Sharma and Jerry Calledwell, very excited
- 0:42Speaker 2: to be with you today inside the Treehouse. We all
- 0:45Speaker 2: four of us here inside the Treehouse are children of
- 0:49Speaker 2: the eighties and if you were a boy who grew
- 0:53Speaker 2: up in the eighties, you're going to absolutely love this story.
- 0:59Speaker 2: A night Writer movie reboot just might bring Airwolf back
- 1:04Speaker 2: to life. Wow, everybody, everybody, Everybody stand back so you
- 1:11Speaker 2: don't get poked in the eye with trays a nostalgia boner, which,
- 1:17Speaker 2: by the way, which by the way, is going to
- 1:19Speaker 2: get bigger as we go through this. Okay, now, Number one,
- 1:24Speaker 2: there is a night Rider movie reboot. Number two, it
- 1:28Speaker 2: could lead to an Airwolf reboot as well. Number three.
- 1:33Speaker 2: This is coming from the Cobra Kai creators, so they
- 1:37Speaker 2: know a thing or two about treating a legacy franchise
- 1:41Speaker 2: with respect, well giving it a modern twist. Believe that's
- 1:47Speaker 2: what this.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And I think if I read it correctly, isn't there
- 1:50Speaker 3: also a six Billion Dollar Man?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah, there's all sorts of crossovers thrown around in here.
- 1:57Speaker 2: So according to Fortress of Solitude, it's a website. Night Writer,
- 2:03Speaker 2: the show about a talking car fighting crime alongside Michael Knight,
- 2:06Speaker 2: is coming back, and this time it's a movie. But
- 2:10Speaker 2: it's not returning alone. According to reports, it's bringing along
- 2:13Speaker 2: a few eighties friends, including Aerowolf and the six Billion
- 2:16Speaker 2: Dollar Man, which is a crossover some people have waited
- 2:19Speaker 2: their entire lives. John Hurwitz, Hayden Sloshburg, and Josh Held
- 2:26Speaker 2: are the brains behind Cobra Kai. They're attached to The
- 2:29Speaker 2: Night Writer's screenplay. But while that alone might make fans
- 2:33Speaker 2: sit up and take notice, some of their plans might
- 2:36Speaker 2: actually shake up the franchise. According to the Takeion Pulse podcast,
- 2:42Speaker 2: the new kit might not even be a Pontiac Firebird
- 2:47Speaker 2: last Are you ready for some controversy? Here we go. Instead,
- 2:52Speaker 2: it could be an electric car. Great, night Writer's gone woke.
- 2:55Speaker 2: None of us can see it now.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Well, at least it's not a cyber truck.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I mean, there's that hang on. Oh no, obviously, the
- 3:06Speaker 2: old Pontiac Firebird was a classic this is according to
- 3:08Speaker 2: a source, but they're going to have to use an
- 3:10Speaker 2: electric car. Options being kicked around include the Tesla Roadster.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So while it's not the cyber truck at least, which.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Yes, by the way, if you look at the I
- 3:27Speaker 1: think it's the the twenty six or twenty seven cyber truck.
- 3:31Speaker 1: They at least redesign this damn thing and it doesn't
- 3:34Speaker 1: look so hidious.
- 3:36Speaker 2: So it no longer looks like a trash can out
- 3:38Speaker 2: of Star Wars.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Correct, It actually looks like a truck.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I don't believe you. I'm kidding. I believe you, and
- 3:47Speaker 2: I hope to God that's the case, because that really
- 3:49Speaker 2: is one of the ugliest vehicles to ever rolled.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Over it, I mean, and and it got worse.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Why everyone just goes face down right into the phone.
- 4:04Speaker 4: It looks like somebody I took a cyber truck it
- 4:07Speaker 4: and it melted a little bit, and then they put
- 4:10Speaker 4: a lift kit on it. This is the redneck cyber truck.
- 4:15Speaker 1: That's what a truck is.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I mean, no trucks were supposed to be for farms
- 4:22Speaker 3: and movies and hauling things.
- 4:24Speaker 4: This looks like something This looks.
- 4:27Speaker 1: It looks at least looks like a pickup truck.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It does look a bit more like a pickup truck now, yes,
- 4:33Speaker 2: So what was the excuse for the first version?
- 4:37Speaker 4: Elon Musk was on ketamine.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Well, hey, I also remember at one point people were
- 4:45Speaker 1: outbidding each other to get the first ones paying and
- 4:49Speaker 1: then these figures.
- 4:51Speaker 2: And then they regretted it. Oh yeah, especially because of
- 4:54Speaker 2: all the fingerprints that get left on them. Okay, I'm
- 4:59Speaker 2: seeing this now. This is not bad. That's not bad.
- 5:03Speaker 2: But Raj is holding up a photo on his phone.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I pulled up another one. Hang on, no, you see if.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I can show us to actually looks like a pickup
- 5:11Speaker 1: truck at least Okay, I mean, I didn't say it
- 5:17Speaker 1: was the best looking thing ever, but it at least
- 5:19Speaker 1: is better than the the gen one or whatever you
- 5:23Speaker 1: want to call it.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So this version that I've got up on our screen here,
- 5:26Speaker 2: which by the way, is a great time for us
- 5:28Speaker 2: to plug our Patreon. If you want to see this
- 5:31Speaker 2: truck and not just hear the audio, go to patreon
- 5:33Speaker 2: dot com, slash Treehouse on air and subscribe today. The
- 5:38Speaker 2: photo I'm seeing here, it's teal and black and looks
- 5:42Speaker 2: like an updated Avalanche.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, because that's what I want to spend. One hundred
- 5:47Speaker 3: and fifty is an updated Avalanche.
- 5:51Speaker 2: It's better than an updated uh Wavelan. It's better than
- 6:00Speaker 2: an updated Pontiac Aztec.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Yes, Snoopy Samurai were useful.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And maybe maybe this one can go through a puddle.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Who knows, maybe maybe if for no other reason than
- 6:13Speaker 2: just because it was lifted a bit.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I want to say this, some people are very self aware.
- 6:18Speaker 3: My girlfriend and I were driving to dinner the other
- 6:21Speaker 3: night and there was a cyber truck and the license
- 6:24Speaker 3: plate was Vanity Plates and it just said ugly truck.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Nice. I was like, very selful, well brother, well done.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Back to the nostalgia story here. So uh. While the
- 6:35Speaker 2: idea is probably to go towards the future with a
- 6:38Speaker 2: futuristic vehicle and having the new kit being an electric car,
- 6:42Speaker 2: the options that are being kicked around are supposedly the
- 6:45Speaker 2: Tesla Roadster, Chrysler's High On X, High On Concept h
- 6:51Speaker 2: IO N, and my favorite, the Dodge Charger E V.
- 6:58Speaker 2: And when you see what the Dodge Charger EV looks like,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I think you'll be on board with me as well
- 7:06Speaker 2: as far as what car the new kit should be.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Here you go.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I like it.
- 7:16Speaker 2: That looks that looks pretty sweet to me. It should
- 7:19Speaker 2: have the little little red light going back and for
- 7:21Speaker 2: a tray. You're shaking your head. No, what's wrong with
- 7:22Speaker 2: the Dodge charger? Ev?
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's Dodge?
- 7:27Speaker 2: Oh no, oh no, you're saying it needs to be
- 7:31Speaker 2: a Pontiac.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Anything but Dodge or Chrysler.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Oh but have you seen the Chrysler the house, the
- 7:38Speaker 4: one that he was talking about?
- 7:39Speaker 2: Hi on h I O n oh, this is the
- 7:43Speaker 2: H A L C y O. Na, Well the house
- 7:46Speaker 2: would be there, Okay, that would be fine. That looks sharp.
- 7:48Speaker 1: It's like a sports car. I might I might change
- 7:50Speaker 1: my mind on that one.
- 7:51Speaker 5: That.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a pretty cool one. Hmm. I like it.
- 8:00Speaker 4: What's wrong with It's where a TV show?
- 8:04Speaker 1: What's wrong with Dodge? Why did Why did Dodge quit
- 8:07Speaker 1: making the internal combustion engine? Because no one would buy
- 8:10Speaker 1: their cars anymore? So that you know, all I'm trying
- 8:14Speaker 1: to do is say, evs, and.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Your anger is so very guided. I like people have
- 8:20Speaker 3: misguided anger. It's like combustible engines.
- 8:22Speaker 6: Bro.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Well, no, it's just so. Dodge just became known for cheap,
- 8:27Speaker 1: cheap horsepower and poorly designed cars and that literally that's
- 8:30Speaker 1: why they they have quit making engines and everything is
- 8:34Speaker 1: evs Now, it's.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Pretty amazing if you think about it, If you know,
- 8:39Speaker 2: it's like a car manufacturer said, you know what, we're
- 8:41Speaker 2: not very good at making these engine things. So we're
- 8:43Speaker 2: just gonna We're gonna pivot New from Dodge the hell
- 8:48Speaker 2: Fire Printer.
- 8:49Speaker 1: When when listen here here is here's the point in
- 8:53Speaker 1: which you have failed at a car company, when rental
- 8:57Speaker 1: car companies stopped buying your cars.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Ooh, that is yeah, that is pretty bad.
- 9:04Speaker 3: New from New from Dodge the Espressial Machine, an espresso hellcat,
- 9:17Speaker 3: the fastest coffee you'll ever drink.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Uh.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Anyway, the new kit will not look as cool. It's uh,
- 9:26Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but the new Kit won't just look cool.
- 9:29Speaker 2: It's supposed to be packed with artificial intelligence technology, tying
- 9:33Speaker 2: it to a broader universe that could include Aerowolf and
- 9:36Speaker 2: the six Billion Dollar Man. Apparently, all three franchises could
- 9:40Speaker 2: eventually cross paths fighting AI villains in a shared story world.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Thank of it as a Marvel style team up with
- 9:46Speaker 2: AI vehicles and machines. All it's missing is the skibbity
- 9:51Speaker 2: toilet guy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: From million to billion on the six.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a six billion dollar man and that's just
- 9:57Speaker 4: his cope. So inflation is a bitch.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And and so then now that is it the ten
- 10:05Speaker 1: billion dollar woman.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Yes, I mean.
- 10:11Speaker 1: That's not even keeping up with inflation.
- 10:16Speaker 2: So yeah, it will be thanks to inflation and tariffs,
- 10:21Speaker 2: it'll be the six billion dollar man the ten billion
- 10:24Speaker 2: dollar woman. But she'll still only make sixty percent of
- 10:27Speaker 2: the six billion dollar man because not everything's gonna change.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Oh god, She'll finally be able to break through the
- 10:40Speaker 3: glass ceiling though, So that's nice.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Just with one punch no no, no, no, no no no no.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Quantity.
- 10:53Speaker 1: All you have to do is say you can break
- 10:56Speaker 1: that ceiling. But you have to pick what'st free, eat,
- 10:58Speaker 1: what's deep.
- 11:02Speaker 4: I don't think she's gonna be running on food. She
- 11:04Speaker 4: runs on bitching.
- 11:12Speaker 2: She's just running to the next manager.
- 11:21Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse, visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It's like Frankenstein meets the six billion dollar woman. What
- 11:32Speaker 2: have I done? Let's get Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing
- 11:41Speaker 2: and Restoration into the Treehouse now for your free roof
- 11:44Speaker 2: inspection called eight three three cook DFW the website cookdfw
- 11:48Speaker 2: dot com. Daniel. I am in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It's
- 11:52Speaker 2: the peninsula to the east of Boston, and obviously things
- 11:56Speaker 2: are a little bit different here compared to Texas and
- 11:58Speaker 2: certainly compared to say Thomas, where I normally live. The
- 12:03Speaker 2: architecture on the homes is different, the roofs are different,
- 12:07Speaker 2: the sighting is different. It's these wooden square type things
- 12:11Speaker 2: on the sides of the houses and on the roofs
- 12:14Speaker 2: as well.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Do you know anything about this very popular roofing.
- 12:20Speaker 8: Aerial called wood shake, and that was super abundant as
- 12:25Speaker 8: far as the type of homes you know made at first,
- 12:28Speaker 8: woodshake was a very common application. They literally by hand
- 12:34Speaker 8: used to make those wood pieces and chop them up,
- 12:38Speaker 8: and then they would use tenpenny nails after they laid
- 12:42Speaker 8: down the base layer, they would lay those over the
- 12:45Speaker 8: top and it would be very effective as far as
- 12:48Speaker 8: roofing material. And so a lot of the up north,
- 12:51Speaker 8: I would say, Midwest even some areas very common and
- 12:57Speaker 8: it's amazing how well it works. I think they used
- 13:00Speaker 8: to lay like a barrier of like grass or some
- 13:06Speaker 8: type of like a weather barrier below those so that way,
- 13:09Speaker 8: it was almost acting like insulation. But it's amazing the
- 13:14Speaker 8: engineering that these folks when these homes were built in
- 13:17Speaker 8: the seventeen hundreds and eighteen hundreds and even now, I mean,
- 13:20Speaker 8: it's a lot easier to do these roots, and people
- 13:23Speaker 8: do replace these roofs with the upgraded versions of wood shake,
- 13:27Speaker 8: which is totally different now. I mean it's like an
- 13:31Speaker 8: engineered material now, but it has the same looks, it's
- 13:34Speaker 8: more statics.
- 13:34Speaker 2: So not only for all your roofing and housing needs
- 13:38Speaker 2: in North Texas, but if you just want some good
- 13:40Speaker 2: old fashioned house knowledge, at the drop of a tenpenny,
- 13:44Speaker 2: you called Daniel Cook eight three to three Cook DFW
- 13:46Speaker 2: or the website cookdfw dot com.
- 13:53Speaker 4: You're in the Treehouse.
- 13:56Speaker 7: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 14:00Speaker 2: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 14:02Speaker 2: COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration. The storms this week are a
- 14:06Speaker 2: very very stark reminder that need to get your roof
- 14:09Speaker 2: checked eight three to three Cook DFW to schedule that
- 14:13Speaker 2: free roof inspection to make sure you don't have any
- 14:16Speaker 2: damage and if you do, hopefully it's small and then
- 14:19Speaker 2: that way you can catch it and repair it before
- 14:21Speaker 2: it becomes major. And if it is major, hopefully you've
- 14:25Speaker 2: already called Daniel Cook eight three to three Cook DFW
- 14:28Speaker 2: or that website, cookdfw dot com. Do you guys know
- 14:33Speaker 2: the origin story of Michael Knight from night Rider back
- 14:37Speaker 2: in the eighties, Yes, tell me, Jerry, Well, Michael Knight was.
- 14:45Speaker 6: He was a police officer, kind of operated on the
- 14:49Speaker 6: outskirts of what you should be doing.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Umm, he.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Had something happened into him and then he was in
- 15:04Speaker 6: a coma for a bit. When he woke up, he
- 15:06Speaker 6: didn't know who he was. So the guy who was
- 15:12Speaker 6: the head of night Industries gave him the name Michael
- 15:15Speaker 6: Knight and told him.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Who you were.
- 15:18Speaker 6: The skills that you have that you don't understand, you
- 15:20Speaker 6: can use those to help us in our crusade. And
- 15:24Speaker 6: that's how he started operating.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I totally forgot about the origin story of Michael
- 15:29Speaker 2: Knight on Night Writer and this story. We were just
- 15:31Speaker 2: reading about the night Writer reboot at the hands of
- 15:36Speaker 2: the Cobra Kai guys. It actually said the Michael Knight's
- 15:41Speaker 2: origin story was already wild. A cop shot in the face,
- 15:44Speaker 2: surgically rebuilt and looked like David Hasselhoff.
- 15:49Speaker 4: That's an alp a plastic surgeon.
- 15:51Speaker 2: It really is. I mean the only plastic surgeon that
- 15:53Speaker 2: might be on the same level is whoever does the
- 15:56Speaker 2: Kardashian clan. So top notch work.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Could be worse. It could be worse. He could look
- 16:02Speaker 4: like Adrian's med.
- 16:08Speaker 2: He is an angel.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Because he's dead. Uh no, no, he's not. I'm not dead.
- 16:18Speaker 4: He's an angel. I'm like, well, because he's died. Oh well,
- 16:20Speaker 4: his career is an angel whatever.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Uh, all of our careers have ups and downs.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Sure.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Uh. Anyway, we were excited because the night Rider reboot
- 16:31Speaker 2: might introduce the possibility of an Airwolf crossover leading to
- 16:35Speaker 2: a reboot, six billion dollar man all that fun stuff.
- 16:40Speaker 2: So it really is has Bro. If if you can
- 16:44Speaker 2: buy stock in Hasbro, now's the time because they're about
- 16:48Speaker 2: to sell some freaking toys.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It does leave one Yeah, just huge question. Who are
- 16:55Speaker 1: they going to get to play the Ernest borgnine character?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Oh that is a great, great question. I don't know.
- 17:08Speaker 3: And the voice of Kit from the original is still alive,
- 17:12Speaker 3: so I wonder if they'll bring him back. He was
- 17:14Speaker 3: the he was a teacher on Boy Meets World.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, and The thing about that is, since the
- 17:19Speaker 2: show is centered on an AI vehicle, I mean, all
- 17:22Speaker 2: you gotta do is ask and pay for permission to
- 17:26Speaker 2: use his voice, clone it, and then you can still
- 17:29Speaker 2: have the same voice, the same actor. So if he dies,
- 17:32Speaker 2: you still got him in the car.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Yeah. I just looked at he's ninety eight. I don't
- 17:35Speaker 4: think we need him.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And I'm gonna guess that some money still owns the
- 17:39Speaker 1: rights to that, so don't.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd have to.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Do a lot.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I will say, though, a ninety eight year old version
- 17:47Speaker 2: of Kit might be funny.
- 17:49Speaker 4: I think it'd be hilarious.
- 17:51Speaker 3: All it'll just keep all little, just keep telling Michael
- 17:53Speaker 3: Knight is rerouting, rerouting, rerouting.
- 17:58Speaker 1: It would be funny if you have, Yeah, the old
- 18:00Speaker 1: kid with the ninety eight year old voice kind of
- 18:03Speaker 1: passing the torch to the new one.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Can we reboot this? Let's like, not only the show, but.
- 18:11Speaker 4: The car just keeps telling Michael Knight to slow down earlier.
- 18:20Speaker 4: We should have left earlier. That's right.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want the reboot of night Rider to
- 18:25Speaker 2: just be one long silver alert.
- 18:30Speaker 1: That that is gonna be a.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Take out of that one.
- 18:34Speaker 1: That's gonna be a tough one. Who are you gonna
- 18:37Speaker 1: get to play the Hasselhoff character? Who you need to
- 18:39Speaker 1: play Michael Knight because you've got to have some of
- 18:42Speaker 1: the cheesiness of Hasselhoff to make it work.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yes, So here's the thing. It has to be someone young,
- 18:52Speaker 2: I think, and I don't really know a whole lot
- 18:54Speaker 2: of the younger actors of today's generation, and I don't
- 18:57Speaker 2: think a lot of people do because we keep the
- 19:00Speaker 2: same guys that are around our age in things. Because
- 19:03Speaker 2: my first thought would be Ryan Gosling, which, by the way,
- 19:07Speaker 2: he was already cult sever in the Fall Guy movie reboot,
- 19:10Speaker 2: which I still say is a fantastic and fun movie.
- 19:14Speaker 2: If you have not seen it, see it. It is
- 19:16Speaker 2: so good him and Emily Blunt.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Fantastic, No is it. It's it's a good watch, I'll
- 19:20Speaker 1: give it.
- 19:21Speaker 2: But fantastically fun. I mean it's again it's not high
- 19:27Speaker 2: cinema here, but it treats the original story of cult
- 19:30Speaker 2: Sever with respect. Uh.
- 19:34Speaker 1: And it's funny.
- 19:35Speaker 4: It's funny, deserves.
- 19:37Speaker 1: It's a good movie, not great good no.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Uh. And the thing is with you know, like the
- 19:43Speaker 2: younger generation, they already have perms, so it'd be easy
- 19:46Speaker 2: to slide into the Michael Knight perm of the eighties.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Do we have to do that part?
- 19:55Speaker 2: You don't have to, but I think you're just going
- 19:56Speaker 2: to because I mean, what's what's what's old.
- 19:59Speaker 3: We're gonna We're gonna stick to the black leather jacket
- 20:01Speaker 3: and the black leather pants because you know he he
- 20:06Speaker 3: mainly wore jeans. Yeah, it was jeans in the leather
- 20:09Speaker 3: jacket and yeah, but the in the in the promo
- 20:11Speaker 3: pictures and he's wearing leather pants and a black leather jacket.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Well, there's also promo photos of David Hasselhoff and a
- 20:16Speaker 2: leather jacket and leather underwear. So let's not get too
- 20:19Speaker 2: carried away.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Well that's how I fight crime, chafing me damned.
- 20:26Speaker 2: That's how he and Kit truly became one.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Who could play it.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I'm trying to think, well, the irony is both Michael
- 20:42Speaker 2: Knight and the guy from Airwolf.
- 20:45Speaker 1: As Jan Michael vin Vincent.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Jan Michael Vincent not characters in the show, but in
- 20:51Speaker 2: real life were horrific alcoholics. Yes, so maybe that's you're so,
- 20:56Speaker 2: maybe that's your starting point.
- 20:58Speaker 3: There's only two people in the world that know Jan
- 21:00Speaker 3: Michael Vincent's name, and Tray's one of them.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You know, it's ironic.
- 21:06Speaker 4: It's not Jan Michael Vincent. Also, he's a dude named Jan.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I believe it's Yawn, which I just got a yawn
- 21:22Speaker 2: out of trade just saying the word Yon. Anyway, it
- 21:27Speaker 2: could be a very exciting reboot. I mean, and I'm
- 21:32Speaker 2: with you, Trey, because the casting options are really are
- 21:35Speaker 2: are fascinating, because who's gonna play Michael Knight? Who's gonna
- 21:39Speaker 2: are they? What are they gonna do with the voice
- 21:40Speaker 2: of kit If there is the Airwolf thing? Okay, well,
- 21:44Speaker 2: who's gonna play was it, uh Hawk string or string
- 21:49Speaker 2: fellow whatever? Fellow Hawk, Stringfellow Hawk, which is a kick
- 21:52Speaker 2: cast name by the way, from Airwolf? And then the
- 21:56Speaker 2: old fat guy that Ernest Borgna had played so beautifully, Domin. Yeah,
- 22:00Speaker 2: who's who's gonna be dominant? J Philip can be Dominic? No,
- 22:06Speaker 2: We're not doing that. Don't stay too much, Jack Black. No,
- 22:10Speaker 2: we got we got enough of him over the last week. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 2: we got enough of him over the last week from
- 22:15Speaker 2: the Anaconda trailer. Uh if Philip, if Philip Seymour Hoffman
- 22:18Speaker 2: had not passed away, I think He would have made
- 22:20Speaker 2: an excellent dominic in the air Wolf movie.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Danny DeVito.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'd watch that, eh, I'm just watching him trying to
- 22:31Speaker 1: get the in the helicopter.
- 22:38Speaker 2: That's a whole episode right there.

- 24:58Speaker 2: money has Bro is standing to make with all these
- 25:01Speaker 2: eighties reboots and bringing back new toys from night Rider
- 25:05Speaker 2: and Airwolf and the six billion dollar Man action figures,
- 25:12Speaker 2: and so I can segue from that to this. All right,
- 25:18Speaker 2: if you start a hall of fame, you are inviting controversy.
- 25:22Speaker 2: And the latest example of this are this year's inductees
- 25:26Speaker 2: for the National Toy Hall of Fame. They do this
- 25:30Speaker 2: every year, and they've been doing this for a number
- 25:32Speaker 2: of years now. Someone created the National Toy Hall of Fame.
- 25:36Speaker 2: And there's a very controversial choice that I need to mention. First.
- 25:42Speaker 2: The other ones board Games, Battleship Catan. I think I'm
- 25:47Speaker 2: saying that right, c at a n and Trivial Pursuit
- 25:51Speaker 2: connect four Cornhole Ferbies, the Scooter, the spirograph, A, Star Wars, Lightsaber,
- 25:58Speaker 2: and Tickle Me Elmo are all inductees for the National
- 26:02Speaker 2: Toy Hall of Fame this year. But that's not all.
- 26:05Speaker 2: The National Toy Hall of Fame might also induct Snow.
- 26:11Speaker 4: The Rapper. At least he's getting inducted somewhere.
- 26:20Speaker 2: He can't even get his way into the National Toy
- 26:22Speaker 2: Hall of Fame. They mean the precipitation Snow. And this
- 26:28Speaker 2: is what I mean when I say, if you're going
- 26:29Speaker 2: to start a hall of fame, you're going to invite
- 26:31Speaker 2: some controversy here, Because I'm not sorry when I say
- 26:36Speaker 2: snow is not a toy, that's precipitations, that's that's weather
- 26:40Speaker 2: that just because you play with it doesn't make it
- 26:44Speaker 2: a toy. Okay, I was I played with barbed wire
- 26:48Speaker 2: as a kid. That's definitely not a toy. I was about.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Well, I mean, yeah, if you're gonna induct snow, then
- 26:59Speaker 1: you have to induct myself.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, if you play with it. If that was the case,
- 27:09Speaker 2: in the first and possibly only inductee needed for the
- 27:12Speaker 2: National Toy Hall of Fame would have been our weenies.
- 27:16Speaker 4: I'll be writing my speech now in the snow.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Oh but yeah, I.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Can snowball fights and stuff like that. I get to
- 27:32Speaker 3: Bacon building a snowman like that's kind of I can
- 27:34Speaker 3: see it.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Well, I'm not saying it's not a fun thing. I'm
- 27:38Speaker 2: just saying, like a toy is something to me. It's
- 27:41Speaker 2: like it's a thing you go and buy it. It's
- 27:44Speaker 2: specifically meant for child's enjoyment.
- 27:47Speaker 1: It's manufactured.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yes, it's a manufactured thing specific for the enjoyment of
- 27:52Speaker 2: a child, not just stuff you find lying around and
- 27:56Speaker 2: you decided to play with it, Like Dad's gunn.
- 28:00Speaker 4: I'm sure that was the first inductee.
- 28:04Speaker 2: And the last. What if it was like snow in
- 28:08Speaker 2: a can, because they have that as well, that would
- 28:11Speaker 2: have been fine. That would make sense because like Trey said,
- 28:14Speaker 2: then that would be a manufactured thing meant for someone
- 28:17Speaker 2: to play with.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Yeah, because then you can, you know, still any time
- 28:21Speaker 3: of the year, you can build a snowman if you
- 28:23Speaker 3: have enough cans. And then also the underlying cancer that
- 28:27Speaker 3: comes with it. There's a lot of toys that they
- 28:29Speaker 3: give people in the hospital.
- 28:32Speaker 2: And that, to me is another trait of a toy
- 28:35Speaker 2: is whether or not there are any warnings attached to it.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Yes, and you said the lightsaber? Yeah, yeah, which one
- 28:43Speaker 1: I mean? I mean I had a toy lightsaber when
- 28:49Speaker 1: I was a kid. There was just basically a flashlight
- 28:51Speaker 1: with a plastic thing you cook to the top. I
- 28:54Speaker 1: don't know, I mean it was that's the case. It
- 28:57Speaker 1: seems long overdue, but I'm wondering if there was a
- 28:59Speaker 1: newer version.
- 29:00Speaker 2: And the other thing is I don't I don't know,
- 29:02Speaker 2: I don't know what the you know, qualifications are for
- 29:05Speaker 2: the National Toy Hall of Fame, like for the Rock
- 29:07Speaker 2: and Roll Hall of Fame and for Sports Hall of Fames.
- 29:10Speaker 2: You have to have been in the industry for a
- 29:13Speaker 2: certain period of time, or in sports Hall of Fames
- 29:15Speaker 2: you have to have been retired for a certain amount
- 29:18Speaker 2: of time to be eligible for toys. I don't know
- 29:21Speaker 2: what those requirements are.
- 29:25Speaker 4: And do you have any siblings? No, So you just
- 29:29Speaker 4: had a lightsaber and no one to fight.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I had an extra one. That's actually how I made
- 29:34Speaker 1: my one of my first childhood friends.
- 29:36Speaker 3: But yeah, okay, was gonna say, that's probably why you
- 29:38Speaker 3: disagree with it'st.
- 29:42Speaker 4: This thing doesn't work.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Well, no, that's why I'm said it's long overdue. If
- 29:45Speaker 1: that's if that's oh, because I mean, yeah, I had
- 29:47Speaker 1: that forty years ago.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and I would trade because I was technically
- 29:53Speaker 2: not an only child. But when my parents split up,
- 29:56Speaker 2: my sister stayed with my dad, I went with my mom.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Just broke the whole family right on the middle, real
- 30:00Speaker 2: real a hole, judge.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And so.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I had a lightsaber thing. But I've really only played
- 30:06Speaker 2: with with with myself occasionally my cousin who's two years older.
- 30:11Speaker 2: We might you know, we were sort of you know,
- 30:13Speaker 2: playmates or whatever. But yeah, to Tray, it was mostly
- 30:18Speaker 2: me running around with a lightsaber toy by myself just
- 30:21Speaker 2: looking weird.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I feel you were playing more Spaceball than you were
- 30:25Speaker 1: Star Wars.
- 30:27Speaker 2: It probably looked that way. Yeah, big help, but yeah
- 30:32Speaker 2: with my own ass.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Extra large lightsaber, da.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That way. No other Jedi accidentally pick up my lightsaber.
- 30:45Speaker 4: It's mine.
- 30:46Speaker 3: It was Danny Kin Skywalker. Did you fight your imaginary friend?
- 30:53Speaker 2: Yes? Uh, Timmy John was a hell of a sith
- 30:58Speaker 2: Lord Timmy John also known as Darth TJ.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Redneck Star Wars.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Flying around his Tai tractor. I would watch that, remember
- 31:22Speaker 2: the old show on YouTube, Chad Vader.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I love that show.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Old school YouTube was a lot of fun for those
- 31:30Speaker 2: that don't know. If you want to go back old school,
- 31:32Speaker 2: then there's some good things to watch on old school YouTube,
- 31:35Speaker 2: not the least of which is Chad Vader, which is
- 31:38Speaker 2: Darth Vader's store manager brother on Earth grocery store manager.
- 31:45Speaker 2: And then there's also what was the police officer's named
- 31:48Speaker 2: Trey the retarded policeman, Yeah him. Great shows on old.
- 31:55Speaker 3: YouTube, just you know, Redneck Star Wars. I just want
- 31:59Speaker 3: to see what princess is wearing, that's all. I would
- 32:01Speaker 3: watch it.
- 32:02Speaker 6: For Daisy Dukes and like that little like halter top
- 32:05Speaker 6: thing that just covers the boobs, and.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I just see the gold bikini the whole time like that,
- 32:10Speaker 3: not even a Job of the Hut captive, just the
- 32:13Speaker 3: whole time, that's what she wears.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, the irony is for Redneck star Wars is. You
- 32:18Speaker 2: wouldn't have to change that movie that much with Job
- 32:21Speaker 2: of the Hut and her in the bikini, except instead
- 32:25Speaker 2: of it being a cult, instead of it being a
- 32:27Speaker 2: gold bikini, it would just have American flags on it.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 3: And then you can find Job of the Hut on
- 32:31Speaker 3: any episode of six hundred Pounds Life.
- 32:34Speaker 2: While chugging cases of Natty light.
- 32:39Speaker 4: That is the dark side.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but I agree snow, I guess not because
- 32:48Speaker 3: it's not manufactured.
- 32:49Speaker 4: I agree with that.
- 32:50Speaker 6: Yeah, that is snow beat out snow beat out mud.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I don't know where mud falls on this list. And
- 32:57Speaker 2: you're right because I've played with a lot of mud
- 32:59Speaker 2: as a kid too, played with snow, played with mud sticks,
- 33:04Speaker 2: lots of sticks.
- 33:04Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, mud and sticks? Were you guys? It is
- 33:10Speaker 4: making bricks. What were you doing?
- 33:13Speaker 2: No, silly mud pies?
- 33:15Speaker 4: Exactly what pies? Please explain?
- 33:19Speaker 2: Well, what you do is you go to the kitchen
- 33:21Speaker 2: and you get you one of those aluminum tins that
- 33:23Speaker 2: you put pies in, and you just put mud in
- 33:26Speaker 2: it and maybe decorated with a couple of pebbles.
- 33:31Speaker 4: Oh, because that's just sad. One day you'll be a
- 33:36Speaker 4: real pie.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Raj. Making a mud pie is not what's sad. It's eating.
- 33:45Speaker 4: It tastes like Terry.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Cobbler if you close your eyes and wish really hard.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Don't forget. He was adopted.
- 34:01Speaker 2: And there was a reason I came out and the
- 34:08Speaker 2: doctors recognized it immediately, like this kid's gonna eat mud.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Just go ahead, you don't want this one. Let's see
- 34:14Speaker 2: if you get lucky on the next one. Oh thanks, doc,
- 34:21Speaker 2: We really dodged a bullet there. For all things Treehouse,
- 34:26Speaker 2: go to Treehouse on their dot com. They were really
- 34:30Speaker 2: pretty after If you got you got good at it, right,
- 34:32Speaker 2: Jerry making the mud pies?
- 34:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 2: And if you really wanted to get creative, you could
- 34:37Speaker 2: turn it into a practical joke and put it in
- 34:39Speaker 2: the oven and switch it out for your grandma's pies
- 34:42Speaker 2: and see how long it takes anyone to notice. I
- 34:45Speaker 2: think that was probably close to a death sentence if
- 34:49Speaker 2: you did that. Yeah, that's when mom hit me with
- 34:51Speaker 2: my toy sticks. Uh find him, follow the show on
- 34:55Speaker 2: uh social media at Treehouse on air. For me, it's
- 34:57Speaker 2: at the Daniel Mallley. For Trey, it's at tree Turnhome
- 35:00Speaker 2: one for Rage at Comedian Rage. And for Jerry, it's
- 35:02Speaker 2: at that Jerry guy. We'll see next time right here
- 35:07Speaker 2: inside the Treehouse.
