- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice. It's lower Love Love Lo. Welcome to the Naughty
- 0:18Speaker 1: but Naisha, I'm your house, Rob Shooter. It's Tuesday, which
- 0:21Speaker 1: means her dear friend Delana Dixon joins us, Hey, miss
- 0:24Speaker 1: d are you there?
- 0:25Speaker 2: I am mister Shooter. I have to tell you I've
- 0:28Speaker 2: been fighting a little bit of a cold, so part
- 0:30Speaker 2: of my voice naeties and I guess you get the
- 0:34Speaker 2: sexy soul full sound. Oh yes, said lovely and congratulation. Wow,
- 0:41Speaker 2: it's been a week since your book has been out
- 0:44Speaker 2: and there's a massive hit.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Thank you, it's a massive hit. I knew it would
- 0:47Speaker 1: be okay. I knew going into this. I knew the
- 0:51Speaker 1: naughties would turn up. I knew that I had built
- 0:53Speaker 1: up a biggler following friends on sub stack. I knew
- 0:56Speaker 1: I was going to be okay. And they don't give
- 0:58Speaker 1: you a book deal if it's not going to be okay.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And so I knew I was going to be okay.
- 1:02Speaker 1: And then the tell was just before the book came out,
- 1:04Speaker 1: I signed a three book deal. They wouldn't have given
- 1:06Speaker 1: me that had my numbers not been solid, like not amazing,
- 1:10Speaker 1: but sol they just don't do that. They don't give
- 1:12Speaker 1: you deals because they like you. They give you deals
- 1:14Speaker 1: because you sell books. So yeah, it's going to be okay.
- 1:16Speaker 1: What I wasn't prepared for, mistery on Monday at the
- 1:19Speaker 1: book party last week. I wasn't prepared for how successful
- 1:23Speaker 1: this book was going to be. And it exploded. On
- 1:26Speaker 1: the Tuesday morning. I woke up and I saw the numbers,
- 1:28Speaker 1: and to think of all the millions and millions of
- 1:30Speaker 1: books that are on sale on Amazon in America around
- 1:34Speaker 1: the world. I was in the top hundred of all
- 1:36Speaker 1: the books that were on sale in America, I was
- 1:39Speaker 1: in the top one hundred. I'm not there anymore. That's fine,
- 1:43Speaker 1: that's perfectly normal. It's like if you put an album
- 1:45Speaker 1: out or a movie out. The first week, you do
- 1:47Speaker 1: well and then you drop off, hopefully not by too much.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And so no, it is absolutely thrilling. I'm pinching myself
- 1:54Speaker 1: and kids like me didn't grow up to be authors.
- 1:57Speaker 1: This is something that's so new and so del and
- 2:00Speaker 1: thank you again, thank you, thank you, thank you. Okay,
- 2:03Speaker 1: let's jump into the show. Thank you, mister Let's jump
- 2:06Speaker 1: into the show. What time is it? My friends? It
- 2:08Speaker 1: is a t This story is so shady at the
- 2:11Speaker 1: top of the show, and I could go either way
- 2:13Speaker 1: on this. So so Rina Williams watched a Meghan Markle
- 2:16Speaker 1: friendship gift. So Megan has been sending out her as
- 2:21Speaker 1: ever chocolate. She keeps She's gonna keep going with this.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Part of me admires the fact that she will not
- 2:28Speaker 1: give up on this. I know to some people that
- 2:30Speaker 1: sounds a little bit delusional, but let's remember I used
- 2:33Speaker 1: to be quite close with Bethany Frankel before the Skinny
- 2:36Speaker 1: Girl Margareta. Bethany put out ten different products, cookies and this,
- 2:40Speaker 1: and none of them worked. Remember when she sent us
- 2:43Speaker 1: cookies at Okay, they were unedible, They were just so awful.
- 2:47Speaker 1: We spat them out and I thought, you know, this
- 2:50Speaker 1: is not gonna work. Bethany proved us wrong. She kept going.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So I do have some respect here. Meghan keeps going well.
- 2:55Speaker 1: She sent them to her influencers, to her friends. And
- 2:58Speaker 1: you do this because you want to post videos. You
- 3:01Speaker 1: want them to say how delicious. Serena Williams made a
- 3:04Speaker 1: video where she opened up the cookies. They were falling
- 3:08Speaker 1: out of the box. Then Serena announced I don't like chocolate,
- 3:12Speaker 1: and then she posted the video now I have been
- 3:15Speaker 1: asking friends, influencers, naughtease everybody. Anyone that's bought my book,
- 3:20Speaker 1: take a picture of you in the book and post it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: It's really helpful if somebody if one of my books
- 3:26Speaker 1: arrived it was all ripped up, if a page was
- 3:28Speaker 1: all squashed, if it was all like messy, the packaging
- 3:31Speaker 1: was awful, I would say, you know what, don't post
- 3:34Speaker 1: that video. It's not live This is not live TV
- 3:37Speaker 1: where you open up chocolates and eat them. This was
- 3:40Speaker 1: a video. Who has not mister you and the body. Though,
- 3:42Speaker 1: if we make a video and we don't like it,
- 3:44Speaker 1: we re record it. In fact, I would argue most
- 3:47Speaker 1: videos that we see on Instagram are not the first
- 3:50Speaker 1: video you take a coupled, don't you. It's like when
- 3:52Speaker 1: you take a picture, you take three or four, you
- 3:54Speaker 1: pick your best. Serena didn't do that. She opened up
- 3:58Speaker 1: the chocolates. They were a messy mistake, and it wasn't
- 4:02Speaker 1: Megan's fault. When you have something delivered, it's really tricky.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You never know what's gonna happen in the mail. So
- 4:07Speaker 1: they arrived and she posted this video. I'm laughing, but
- 4:12Speaker 1: I shouldn't be. If you did that to me, Miss Day,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I would call you to say, girl, can you take
- 4:16Speaker 1: that down and post a nice video? If you did
- 4:18Speaker 1: that to me, I would be so bad. What do
- 4:20Speaker 1: you think?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Case in point, So, obviously your book came out. We
- 4:24Speaker 2: had the party on Monday. I didn't get my video
- 4:28Speaker 2: up until Saturday because I wanted to make sure that
- 4:30Speaker 2: it was right. I had to get a picture of
- 4:32Speaker 2: the book and the perfect place. I had to like
- 4:35Speaker 2: pull the most beautiful photos of us. I had to
- 4:38Speaker 2: write the right caption. It takes time. Social media takes time.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I think this is what Serena miss It's like. She
- 4:48Speaker 2: basically just turned on her camera, held it in one hand,
- 4:51Speaker 2: shot it, and the other said whatever was on her mind.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Didn't even care. I don't like chocolate. I mean, I
- 4:56Speaker 2: know the joke she was trying to make. She was
- 4:57Speaker 2: trying to say, I don't like chocolate, but I like,
- 5:00Speaker 2: I'm eating this chocolate.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:02Speaker 2: But Serena, you are an entrepreneur, You're a businesswoman. You
- 5:06Speaker 2: have millions upon millions. Hire a social media manager who
- 5:11Speaker 2: can plan this out for you, and all you have
- 5:13Speaker 2: to do is shoot a little voice over and the
- 5:15Speaker 2: person puts it together. She opens the box, she fixes
- 5:18Speaker 2: the chocolates, she closes the box, she reopens the box
- 5:21Speaker 2: on camera, something like that. I think she was trying
- 5:24Speaker 2: to make it feel authentic and here I'm just checking
- 5:26Speaker 2: out my friend's stuff. But when you are that high level,
- 5:30Speaker 2: people expect a certain.
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's true polish, polish, That's what it was. Do you
- 5:36Speaker 1: remember when we filmed a food commercial for Taco Bell
- 5:39Speaker 1: at the Gossip Table. We had a sponsor and they
- 5:42Speaker 1: had food stylists there. I'm not joking people. They didn't
- 5:46Speaker 1: care what we looked like. They cared what the food
- 5:48Speaker 1: looked like. And they were literally with cheves and creative
- 5:51Speaker 1: people who came back to make sure every plate looked delicious.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I don't think Serena needed to go that far, but
- 5:58Speaker 1: all the chocolates that fell out of the box, they
- 6:00Speaker 1: were all crunched up there. They just looked so nasty.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And the fact that she posted the video it's just
- 6:07Speaker 1: quite amusing to me and also a little bit shocking.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And we've got to admit fans and people online are
- 6:13Speaker 1: asking are they really friends or you know, sometimes people
- 6:18Speaker 1: that you think are your friends can take a little
- 6:20Speaker 1: bit of a dig at you. That's happened to me
- 6:22Speaker 1: over the last week since this book exploded. I knew
- 6:25Speaker 1: it was going to do well. I didn't know it
- 6:27Speaker 1: was going to explode. It is exploded. A few people,
- 6:29Speaker 1: not my real friends, but a few people in my
- 6:31Speaker 1: sort of group that I thought liked me, have had
- 6:34Speaker 1: a few digs. So I wonder if that's going on,
- 6:36Speaker 1: which brings us to our pole question. After the day,
- 6:39Speaker 1: Serena Williams posted a botched video of Mega Markle's chocolates.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's not a pretty video at all. Would would a
- 6:49Speaker 1: friend post this? If you were a friend, would you
- 6:52Speaker 1: post it? It wasn't live, it was recorded, she'd got
- 6:55Speaker 1: it recorded it again, she didn't she posted it? What
- 6:58Speaker 1: do you think? Hego? Twitter page? I had naughty nice
- 7:02Speaker 1: rob facebook page isnt to gossip and be sure to
- 7:05Speaker 1: check back TOI mal Row to hear your results. Hey Misty,
- 7:09Speaker 1: what are you working on the.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It's all about Jessica Bill So she has reportedly delivered
- 7:15Speaker 2: justin Timberlake a brutal final warning clean up or she's
- 7:20Speaker 2: walking so sources are telling us that she's been putting
- 7:24Speaker 2: up with Timberlake's behavior for years, you know, and she's
- 7:28Speaker 2: had it after years of public embarrassment, you know, with
- 7:32Speaker 2: Justin's twenty twenty four d w I arrest and his
- 7:36Speaker 2: recent Las Vegas behavior, it's just pushed her to the edge.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And basically and stters are telling us that she's largely
- 7:44Speaker 2: raising their two sons on her own and Justin's just
- 7:48Speaker 2: never home and he's making headlines but not for the
- 7:52Speaker 2: right reason. So if he slips again, Jessica is ready
- 7:58Speaker 2: to pull the trigger and in their marriage, and she
- 8:02Speaker 2: stood by him through a lot. I mean a lot
- 8:05Speaker 2: of things have happened while they've been together, but every
- 8:08Speaker 2: person has their breaking point. Rob, what do you think
- 8:11Speaker 2: about this? I mean, is it time for her to
- 8:13Speaker 2: call it quits?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah? Enough is enough? I hate seeing relationships end, and
- 8:16Speaker 1: I personally believe that in this day and age, we
- 8:19Speaker 1: end things way too quickly, and so I hold on.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I want things to really work out. They've been together
- 8:24Speaker 1: a while, but it doesn't seem like his behavior has changed.
- 8:28Speaker 1: We know he's had problems, we know the DWI, the
- 8:32Speaker 1: DUI arrest, and we've seen him Remember when he was
- 8:34Speaker 1: in New Orleans drunk, hold in somebody's hand. Yeah, isn't
- 8:39Speaker 1: his wife? We all remember that, and so I think
- 8:42Speaker 1: there's an arrogance to Justin here that we're just figuring out.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I think we all want to think of him as
- 8:46Speaker 1: that really nice, just really guy next door, that handsome
- 8:50Speaker 1: pop star. He didn't treat Brittany very well, Let's be
- 8:53Speaker 1: honest there. He had to apologize to Brittany, and who
- 8:55Speaker 1: can forget what he did to Janet Jackson. It ruined
- 8:58Speaker 1: her career and he did nothing to check his career.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So there's a lot of red flags around Justin. I
- 9:03Speaker 1: hope he gets it together. I think you have to
- 9:06Speaker 1: win relationships, speak up for what's working for you and
- 9:09Speaker 1: what isn't working for you. Keeping quiet doesn't help anybody.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And if Jessica has decided what they are going through
- 9:16Speaker 1: at the moment doesn't work for her, if she feels
- 9:18Speaker 1: like she's doing all the work, then speak up. And
- 9:21Speaker 1: I hope, hope he fixes it, and that's his chance,
- 9:25Speaker 1: that's his opportunity. Don't break up with people without trying
- 9:28Speaker 1: to fix stuff. So I hope that they're working through it.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But just then something has to change. The image of
- 9:34Speaker 1: Justin that we have is not exactly the whole truth. Okay,
- 9:39Speaker 1: moving along, Blake Lively has dragged Johnny Depth now into
- 9:42Speaker 1: the chaos with her legal war. I know this will
- 9:46Speaker 1: not go away the trials in just a few weeks.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So Blake Lively is pulling in one of Hollywood's ugliest
- 9:52Speaker 1: quarter in battles into her own legal drama with Justin
- 9:55Speaker 1: bell Done. In a dramatic move, Blake plans to invoke
- 10:00Speaker 1: on a depths explosive defamation trial against Amber Hurt. What's
- 10:05Speaker 1: going on here is that Johnny and Justin hired the
- 10:10Speaker 1: same PR operative, the same PR person. She has a
- 10:14Speaker 1: very tough reputation. Blake is arguing that this PR person
- 10:18Speaker 1: smeared her, went after her, and that seems to have
- 10:22Speaker 1: been the case too in the Johnny Depth case case.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I think here it's muddying the waters. I think that
- 10:28Speaker 1: bringing in other celebrities. I don't know if a judge,
- 10:33Speaker 1: if a jury, is going to buy this. It feels
- 10:36Speaker 1: almost as if this this is not worked out the
- 10:38Speaker 1: way Blake thought it would. Ten of the thirteen accounts
- 10:43Speaker 1: have been thrown out and so it's a much different
- 10:46Speaker 1: case now. I don't want to use the word desperate,
- 10:49Speaker 1: but I do know that this might be better if
- 10:52Speaker 1: it was settled Blake is saying, no, the judge wants
- 10:55Speaker 1: this settled. People around Blake want her to settle it.
- 10:58Speaker 1: But I don't think she's gonna I think this is
- 11:00Speaker 1: gonna go to trial. And I'm not sure if dragging
- 11:04Speaker 1: in Johnny Depp's name is gonna help. It feels desperate.
- 11:07Speaker 2: What do you think, Well, I mean, I believe she's
- 11:10Speaker 2: dragging in his name because, as you mentioned, he and
- 11:13Speaker 2: Justin Baldoni shared the same PR. And if you think
- 11:16Speaker 2: back to the New York Times article that came out
- 11:18Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four where they had this whole expos
- 11:21Speaker 2: about this crisis expert or PR expert, her name is
- 11:26Speaker 2: Melissa Nathan, and how they had texts and emails that
- 11:30Speaker 2: said that we can bury anybody, we can defame somebody,
- 11:33Speaker 2: we can make this happen. You know, you think about it.
- 11:36Speaker 2: PR is there to uplift their clients, but you know,
- 11:39Speaker 2: maybe we didn't know that there's PR that can try
- 11:42Speaker 2: to make some you know, destroy somebody quote unquote using
- 11:46Speaker 2: the words that was allegedly in these email and Texas
- 11:50Speaker 2: And so I think Blake feels like, yes, I could settle,
- 11:55Speaker 2: but that doesn't get me back my sense of dignity
- 12:00Speaker 2: that somebody actually wrote in an email, Like, how would
- 12:03Speaker 2: you feel if you received an email from like if
- 12:05Speaker 2: I sent you on rob and I'm like, somebody really
- 12:08Speaker 2: hated your book and they're starting a campaign to try
- 12:10Speaker 2: to destroy it. You would take that personally. I think
- 12:12Speaker 2: that's where it is. Sometimes you have to put personal
- 12:15Speaker 2: stuff on the table and just say, let me take
- 12:18Speaker 2: my settlement the money, which we know that's how we
- 12:21Speaker 2: show that we've gotten over something. We sue and we
- 12:24Speaker 2: say this is the case, or we take it to
- 12:27Speaker 2: court and we have a lawsuit. But I think this
- 12:29Speaker 2: is personal for Blake. So I don't even know if
- 12:31Speaker 2: she cares about the money. She just cares about saying
- 12:34Speaker 2: somebody made an effort to destroy me and I want
- 12:38Speaker 2: to be able to be vindicated from that.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Good point. Good point, Okay, moving along, Michael Jackson sequel
- 12:45Speaker 1: is already in the works, but it's going to be
- 12:47Speaker 1: very difficult to explain what's happening. Mister.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Yeah. So, I mean, first of all, you can go
- 12:52Speaker 2: read our piece at ebany dot com. Because critics be
- 12:56Speaker 2: damned right, the critics gave it a twenty seven rotten
- 12:59Speaker 2: to mado score, but the movie has made two hundred
- 13:03Speaker 2: and seventeen million dollars world wide. Okay, when a movie
- 13:07Speaker 2: makes that much money, there is going to be a
- 13:10Speaker 2: sequel coming. But this can cause some very legal, serious trouble,
- 13:14Speaker 2: So not ruining the movie, no spoilers, but it ends
- 13:17Speaker 2: before a lot of the more complicated parts of Michael's
- 13:22Speaker 2: life that became more legal, and so basically the next
- 13:26Speaker 2: chapter comes with major complications. You know, it would need
- 13:29Speaker 2: to tackle his most controversial years. We're talking the child
- 13:34Speaker 2: abuse allegations that have long shadowed his legacy, and sources
- 13:39Speaker 2: say the original film was forced into costly reshoots after
- 13:43Speaker 2: the Jackson estate reportedly overlooked a legal settlement barring accusing
- 13:48Speaker 2: accuser Jordan Chandler from being depicted or even mentioned on screen.
- 13:54Speaker 2: So this is causing major restrictions. How do you do
- 13:58Speaker 2: the second part of Michael's life without mention these things?
- 14:01Speaker 2: And obviously even you know, beyond the allegation, I mean,
- 14:04Speaker 2: he died tragically, so you know, Anton Fuqua is an
- 14:08Speaker 2: incredible director. I'm sure they'll figure out a way, but
- 14:12Speaker 2: you have to deal with these things. I mean, people
- 14:14Speaker 2: are upset that the Whiz wasn't mentioned in this movie.
- 14:17Speaker 2: They're like, where was Rebbie and Janet in the movie?
- 14:21Speaker 2: So these are things that you have to kind of
- 14:24Speaker 2: deal with, and so I'm not sure how they're going
- 14:26Speaker 2: to get around it, but they'll figure out a way.
- 14:28Speaker 1: They'll figure out away. When this amount of money is
- 14:30Speaker 1: on the line, when you make them, when your movie
- 14:31Speaker 1: makes two hundred million dollars in the first weekend, a
- 14:34Speaker 1: sequel is coming. They do not they's coming. And to
- 14:37Speaker 1: be honest, they didn't really stick to the facts in
- 14:40Speaker 1: the first movie, so why would we think they would
- 14:42Speaker 1: it in the second. We're looking at it like really objective,
- 14:45Speaker 1: smart people like reporters, like people who know the truth.
- 14:49Speaker 1: They don't care. And this number has proven that the
- 14:52Speaker 1: audience do not want bad stories about Michael. They don't
- 14:56Speaker 1: want it. They want the music, and there's a lot
- 14:58Speaker 1: more music, and they they will put a story together.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You know, Mom and Mia just didn't throughout the abba
- 15:04Speaker 1: story and just created a wedding and jammed jammed the songs.
- 15:08Speaker 1: And I don't think they'll do that with Michael pot two.
- 15:09Speaker 1: But I think they're gonna tell a very very different
- 15:12Speaker 1: story to what we know. The reality is, it's going
- 15:15Speaker 1: to be positive. That's their prerogative. You don't get the
- 15:18Speaker 1: rights to the songs unless you do the scripture that
- 15:21Speaker 1: the estate wants, and they won't have a word said
- 15:24Speaker 1: about Michael. The musical's the same on Broadway. It's fabulous,
- 15:27Speaker 1: but it's very odd. They never mention anything about what
- 15:31Speaker 1: we want to talk about. It's just song after song
- 15:34Speaker 1: after song after song, and so I think this will
- 15:37Speaker 1: probably be the same. But once again, money r runs
- 15:40Speaker 1: Hollywood and there's no way they're gonna leave that money
- 15:43Speaker 1: on the table. There will be a sequel, and I
- 15:46Speaker 1: will predict it will have very little to do with reality.
- 15:50Speaker 1: And I don't even think it matters. I don't. Okay,
- 15:53Speaker 1: let's jump into our break. We're gonna take a quick
- 15:56Speaker 1: break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
- 16:00Speaker 1: that naughty bit. Nice. I'm a rob shooter with a
- 16:03Speaker 1: different Delayna Dixon, hemisty. Let's get to the poles. Thank
- 16:07Speaker 1: you much. King Charles and Queen Camilla have landed in America.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Should they meet Harry and Meghan? My reporting is they
- 16:13Speaker 1: have no plans to meet Harry and Meghan while they
- 16:15Speaker 1: are here. Should they meet them? Fifty to fifty down
- 16:18Speaker 1: the middle. Now that's change fifty fifty. I think the
- 16:21Speaker 1: optics look terrible that they're in the same country as
- 16:25Speaker 1: his son. He hasn't seen his grandchildren in four years. However,
- 16:30Speaker 1: my defense of the palace here is Harry is so unpredictable.
- 16:34Speaker 1: If they have a private meeting, they could tell Gail
- 16:36Speaker 1: King or Oprah all those details. And so this is
- 16:39Speaker 1: a very difficult, difficult, difficult time. Okay, don't forget to
- 16:44Speaker 1: vote on today's pole. Go to at Twitter page at
- 16:48Speaker 1: Naughty Nice rob Did Serena Williams did she shade beg

- 17:11Speaker 2: Well, our nicest of the day is Zahara Jolie because
- 17:15Speaker 2: she made a rare and deeply personal tribute to her mom,
- 17:19Speaker 2: Angelina Jolie, calling her the most selfless, loving and understanding
- 17:23Speaker 2: woman she knows now. She was speaking at Spelman College
- 17:27Speaker 2: in Atlanta, and she praised Angelina for her kindness, her compassion,
- 17:32Speaker 2: and her deep sense of purpose. Zahara was adopted from
- 17:36Speaker 2: Ethiopia as a baby by Angelina, and basically, Zahara said,
- 17:41Speaker 2: I'm a strong woman because a strong woman raised me.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And all I'm gonna say is yes, sah yes, put
- 17:47Speaker 2: it out there. She is a member of Alpha Kappa
- 17:50Speaker 2: Alpha Sorority Incorporated. As I'm i and of course we
- 17:54Speaker 2: always praise our mom, so I'm gonna praise my mom too. Zahara,
- 17:58Speaker 2: I had a good one as I have a good
- 18:00Speaker 2: as well.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah you do, you do. I saw Angelina at the
- 18:04Speaker 1: opening night of The Outsiders. It's a musical on Broadway,
- 18:07Speaker 1: and her daughter is one of the producers. And to
- 18:10Speaker 1: see angel Lena with the kids was really lovely. Behind
- 18:13Speaker 1: the scenes when the cameras were not watching, she was
- 18:15Speaker 1: really tender. She really is a beautiful, beautiful mama. Nice
- 18:19Speaker 1: is the day and not She's the day. Naughty, Naughty,
- 18:20Speaker 1: naughty is Kevin Spacey and ESNL star is coming forward
- 18:23Speaker 1: saying that when Kevin Spacey hosted the show, he was
- 18:26Speaker 1: very uncomfortable. His name is Drama Tacko. Now you might
- 18:29Speaker 1: not know him very much. He worked there for about
- 18:32Speaker 1: seven years, mostly behind the scenes making videos. He did
- 18:35Speaker 1: pop up every so often. He said. When the actor
- 18:37Speaker 1: hosted the show in two thousand and six, it was really,
- 18:41Speaker 1: really weird. He said, I did not enjoy the experience.
- 18:45Speaker 1: He went on to say Steve Martin Ben Stiller were
- 18:47Speaker 1: just fantastic. But now that we know what we know
- 18:50Speaker 1: about Kevin Spacey, looking back, there was always signs that
- 18:55Speaker 1: he was is a creep. Okay, let's end with a
- 18:59Speaker 1: moment of rab rubbing and rub. You've got one, honey.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So luck isn't magic, No, it's momentum. Look often looks
- 19:08Speaker 1: like magic from the outside, but it's actually just math.
- 19:12Speaker 1: People who seem lucky are rarely blessed by chance alone.
- 19:16Speaker 1: They simply place themselves where chance has more opportunity to
- 19:20Speaker 1: find them. They go to more rooms, they start more conversations,
- 19:24Speaker 1: they ask more questions, and they take more swings. It's
- 19:27Speaker 1: a batting average. What looks like luck is often exposure, repetition,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and persistence. I wasn't lucky with this book. I exposed
- 19:38Speaker 1: myself to the right people. I kept going. The repetition
- 19:41Speaker 1: was there, and I was persistent. This book got denied.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I got rejected from twenty different publishers. I kept going.
- 19:48Speaker 1: The lucky person applies two hundred times, the unlucky person
- 19:54Speaker 1: applies two times and then gives up. No, luck is
- 19:57Speaker 1: not random, it certainly isn't. It strikes people who are
- 20:02Speaker 1: out there, who put themselves out there, who go for it.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So once again, it's not luck. It is drive. Keep pushing,
- 20:10Speaker 1: keep going, and you, my friend, will become quote lucky. Hey,
- 20:14Speaker 1: that is it forward today. Thank you so much for
- 20:17Speaker 1: listening to the naughty bit Nice with Rob and mister
