- 0:00Speaker 1: When I do the ims or when we write those letters,
- 0:02Speaker 1: the transformational letter writing experiences. Yeah, no one's going to
- 0:06Speaker 1: read that letter. You are free to let go into
- 0:08Speaker 1: unravel and to reveal your deepest, darkest truth because we
- 0:13Speaker 1: don't have a space in life we should. Hopefully we're
- 0:16Speaker 1: learning that as women. Hi everyone, my name is Haley
- 0:20Speaker 1: and this is Laura, and welcome to the body Pod.
- 0:26Speaker 1: All right, for Quirk, welcome back to the body Pod.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Happy to be back. I'm glad I got invited back.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Oh, I'm glad I got invited to your beautiful backyard.
- 0:36Speaker 1: This is so stunning and I feel so grateful to
- 0:39Speaker 1: be here.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I brought you on today because I know that I
- 0:44Speaker 3: shared a lot with my audience about your retreat in
- 0:49Speaker 3: Costa Rica, and I kind of just wanted to talk
- 0:53Speaker 3: through it with you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I haven't talked to anyone really about it, so I
- 0:56Speaker 1: haven't even had a chance to download. So I mean,
- 0:59Speaker 1: this is the first time that we're connecting since Costa Rica.
- 1:03Speaker 1: And there's a lot that happens when you return from
- 1:05Speaker 1: a retreat. Then there's kind of a come down, then
- 1:06Speaker 1: there's a processing period. So I'm actually really excited also
- 1:11Speaker 1: to unpack that with you. And I love that you've
- 1:15Speaker 1: shared so much so authentically with your audience because it
- 1:19Speaker 1: is very sacred and you're very public. And I love
- 1:21Speaker 1: the conversations that we've had. We've probably talked about too
- 1:24Speaker 1: much on the podcast. If you know me, I don't
- 1:29Speaker 1: know how to do it any other way. So I'm
- 1:31Speaker 1: I'm thrilled, and I appreciate the trust and witnessing you
- 1:35Speaker 1: go through the experience was found for me and beautiful
- 1:40Speaker 1: and touching, and I knew I really liked you before
- 1:44Speaker 1: and then and it actually deepened the relationship and the
- 1:49Speaker 1: admiration that I have for you. And so there's so
- 1:52Speaker 1: much I want to there's so much to you.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Let's start with kind of what how you got into
- 1:59Speaker 3: retreat because when we met, when we first met a
- 2:03Speaker 3: year ago, you would just come back from Costa Rica
- 2:06Speaker 3: and I shared this in my post and you said, Hayley,
- 2:10Speaker 3: You've got to come.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, I'm for sure, and I'm
- 2:12Speaker 1: one hundred percent, and I thought she's never gonna come.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I had zero intention, zero intention, and then Elisa kept
- 2:20Speaker 3: reaching out, and then you reached out a few times,
- 2:22Speaker 3: and I was just like pacifying like yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, I.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Think I can go. I'll get back to you.
- 2:27Speaker 3: And then I was sitting in Mexico in January, the
- 2:31Speaker 3: start of a year, and I get this text from
- 2:34Speaker 3: Melissa and she's and for some reason, I was just like,
- 2:38Speaker 3: sign me up, let's go. So this was this was
- 2:42Speaker 3: supposed to be the year of me doing a lot
- 2:44Speaker 3: of really hard things, and that was one of them.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I've never I've done like three yoga classes, which was
- 2:51Speaker 3: a parent. When we were there, everyone else knew all
- 2:55Speaker 3: the moves, and I was just like following along.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Well, I've done probably like three strength class It's okay,
- 3:00Speaker 1: so we can level that up. I was like, well,
- 3:02Speaker 1: this is going to be what it's gonna be, okay.
- 3:05Speaker 3: So I came in as a one hundred percent newbie,
- 3:09Speaker 3: and honestly, I was kind of going there to just
- 3:15Speaker 3: be by myself, and and I kind of was. I
- 3:19Speaker 3: was there, I didn't participate in every activity I was launching.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That loss happens that day. So it was really and
- 3:26Speaker 3: I think I'd mentioned this week, this is a terrible
- 3:30Speaker 3: week for me to go.
- 3:31Speaker 1: So I'm gonna come.
- 3:32Speaker 3: But if and if you want to fill the spot
- 3:34Speaker 3: with someone that can participate in all of the activities.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I'm not to try to give it your spot and
- 3:41Speaker 3: you're like, no, just come, just come, And so I.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Did a little rising everybody to get her there. I
- 3:47Speaker 1: was like, we're going to kick off your program together.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We are going to carve out time for that. I personally,
- 3:51Speaker 1: we're gonna go live.
- 3:52Speaker 3: No.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I wanted to do whatever it took for a woman
- 3:56Speaker 1: like you, who's so accomplished, who does so much and
- 4:01Speaker 1: is so connected to a community of women. There was
- 4:05Speaker 1: something that was calling me to get you there, and
- 4:07Speaker 1: that I can't explain.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I know chills because I feel the same and I am.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I don't know if I mentioned this down there, but
- 4:16Speaker 3: I my children, and I'm not proud of this. It's
- 4:19Speaker 3: not like a badge of honor. But my children have
- 4:22Speaker 3: probably seen me cry, Like on one hand, and it's
- 4:29Speaker 3: it's not that I don't want to cry. It just
- 4:31Speaker 3: doesn't like I just don't cry. And there's that's a
- 4:34Speaker 3: whole other podcast.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Please inside me on that one.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Went wow.
- 4:42Speaker 3: So I came and I really was like I was
- 4:46Speaker 3: invested in doing something that I'd never done before. I'd
- 4:51Speaker 3: never done breath work I've never done a sound bath,
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'd never done cacowscrub, I've never done like few yoga classes.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I hadn't done any of it, and I I showed up,
- 5:00Speaker 3: and I really had no idea.
- 5:02Speaker 2: What to expect.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Like I landed at the airport and I was like,
- 5:04Speaker 1: what the hell am.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I doing here? What am I doing?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Way persons will go through that day one or day two,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and even after the first time, they're like, I think
- 5:11Speaker 1: I need to get the next flight out here because
- 5:13Speaker 1: this is just way too hard. I experienced so much
- 5:16Speaker 1: of everything. They're either canceling the week of right before,
- 5:20Speaker 1: wanting to get out of there early, so afraid to
- 5:22Speaker 1: meet themselves, so afraid to show up. I didn't know
- 5:26Speaker 1: all that about you. Yeah, so I appreciate the honesty,
- 5:31Speaker 1: and I think it's incredible that you locked in, dropped
- 5:37Speaker 1: into an experience fully open minded, with no knowledge. I mean,
- 5:43Speaker 1: that must have been really scary, foreign, and I should
- 5:47Speaker 1: say foreign and uncomfortable, because you're not really a woman
- 5:49Speaker 1: that's like scared. You're a very powerful, strong woman. But
- 5:53Speaker 1: that must have been really uncomfortable. It was very uncomfortable.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So when I showed up and I get I really
- 6:01Speaker 3: was just I have never I've I've traveled a lot
- 6:04Speaker 3: for work. I've done a lot of you know, bike
- 6:08Speaker 3: trips and things like that. So I've traveled, but I've
- 6:12Speaker 3: always been with people, and I've never even though I
- 6:14Speaker 3: was with people here, I just wanted to kind of
- 6:18Speaker 3: have like alone time with me.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I have never.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I've been running really hard for a really long time,
- 6:27Speaker 3: and I honestly just needed a break. And so even
- 6:30Speaker 3: though I was going to be working, when I wasn't working,
- 6:33Speaker 3: I knew that I was by myself, that I could
- 6:36Speaker 3: be by myself and just be steel and I am
- 6:40Speaker 3: not that type of person at all.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So I was committed. I was when I signed up.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Even though I was like, what the hell, let's just
- 6:46Speaker 1: give it a go and try and what am I doing?
- 6:48Speaker 3: I really did have the intention of coming in and
- 6:53Speaker 3: really trying to embrace myself with all of these new practices.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I was kind of hungry. I don't know how to
- 7:01Speaker 3: explain it, but my soul was kind of hungry for
- 7:04Speaker 3: something and I and I just thought maybe I'll find
- 7:07Speaker 3: it here.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I love the openness, the willingness to do that. I
- 7:11Speaker 1: didn't know any of this about you upon your arrival.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I think it's incredible and there's something so valuable and
- 7:20Speaker 1: so hard to come by. Time alone, time for a woman. Mothers.
- 7:25Speaker 1: You know, we're givers, we're nurturers, we're raising a family.
- 7:28Speaker 1: We have this ability to give and give and give
- 7:30Speaker 1: and do everything that anybody needs and do it well.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's happens during the evolution
- 7:39Speaker 1: of being a woman or our aging process, but I
- 7:41Speaker 1: hear this common denominator that they were invaluable. Meantime doesn't
- 7:48Speaker 1: come easy, No, And even though we're in a group
- 7:51Speaker 1: of women, leading yourself alone, sleeping alone at night, being
- 7:56Speaker 1: in a hotel room alone, being in a foreign country,
- 7:59Speaker 1: being out of your norm, eating different foods, having a
- 8:02Speaker 1: different cup of coffee, not having access to everything, it's
- 8:05Speaker 1: really rocking and really confronting, isn't it.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:09Speaker 1: And honestly, I showed up, and I'm going to be
- 8:14Speaker 1: really honest.
- 8:15Speaker 3: At first, I feel like I came in and I
- 8:17Speaker 3: felt like, well, everyone kind of came with somebody or
- 8:21Speaker 3: they'd come the year before. I think there was like
- 8:25Speaker 3: some Erica and then I mean there was a couple
- 8:27Speaker 3: of new people, but they either had their husbands with them,
- 8:31Speaker 3: and I kind of was just like, oh, well, am
- 8:36Speaker 3: I the only one.
- 8:37Speaker 1: That's by myself?
- 8:38Speaker 4: Or that's what I feel like, we're the only one
- 8:41Speaker 4: in life though. Yeah, yeah, I can actually assure you.
- 8:44Speaker 4: People came repeaters, people, some came with friends, but many
- 8:47Speaker 4: people do come alone. And I want people to come alone.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I love when a group of friends comes. It's amazing.
- 8:53Speaker 4: But there's also something so sacred about being out of
- 8:57Speaker 4: your tribe and out of your comfort zone and finding
- 9:00Speaker 4: a space and an opportunity to meet yourself without having
- 9:03Speaker 4: the support of the normal people in your life, whether
- 9:06Speaker 4: it's your partner or your bestie, and also having an
- 9:10Speaker 4: opportunity to be whoever you need to be that might
- 9:12Speaker 4: be different.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Than the woman than everyone is used to see.
- 9:17Speaker 2: That for me is fascinating.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Well, I will say I started out and I remember
- 9:24Speaker 3: the first morning. We were in this beautiful shaala outside
- 9:28Speaker 3: and there were monkeys and there's birds, and we were
- 9:32Speaker 3: doing Yeah, we're in the jungle and we're doing this
- 9:34Speaker 3: opening yoga. I don't even remember the first song. I
- 9:38Speaker 3: don't know if you remember the playlist, but the first
- 9:41Speaker 3: song was really powerful. It was I don't know if
- 9:46Speaker 3: it was triable, but then it there. I mean, someone
- 9:48Speaker 3: was saying, anyways, it just like I remember having chills.
- 9:51Speaker 3: We were doing this yoga flow. I'm new to it,
- 9:54Speaker 3: and I just remember having chills and just feeling like, Okay,
- 9:59Speaker 3: I'm gonna get something really special here. And so went
- 10:03Speaker 3: throughout the day we did yoga. I think we did.
- 10:08Speaker 3: We meditated that night, and I probably, like my mind
- 10:12Speaker 3: is super squirrely, as I know a lot of our
- 10:15Speaker 3: so I don't even think.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I probably was.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Like kind of doing it and thinking about it and
- 10:21Speaker 3: just maybe not even really there. I mean, it is
- 10:24Speaker 3: definitely a practice, and I would say that's the hardest
- 10:26Speaker 3: skill as I've come back home.
- 10:29Speaker 1: It's the quieting of the monkey brain that's really challenging, right,
- 10:32Speaker 1: learning how to sit still. But I remember the morning
- 10:34Speaker 1: that you're describing and that day and the music is
- 10:37Speaker 1: very intentional for me. So we're nurturing in nature, right.
- 10:41Speaker 1: You have all these beautiful things in life that Mother
- 10:43Speaker 1: Nature has offered us. You've got the different colors, the
- 10:46Speaker 1: sound of nature, all these voices, the birds, the monkeys,
- 10:50Speaker 1: the vision that is a completely different vision than I
- 10:53Speaker 1: have ever witnessed, and all of the retreats.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Faces are very intentional.
- 10:56Speaker 1: The music is intentional to take you out of your
- 10:59Speaker 1: norm and to drop feel into a full sensory experience, right,
- 11:03Speaker 1: sensory overload. No, it's just a sense of newness. There's
- 11:07Speaker 1: like these I don't know, these aha moments, these these
- 11:11Speaker 1: these beautiful moments that are it's kind of like looking
- 11:15Speaker 1: around you notice the color of the leaves and the
- 11:17Speaker 1: way the sunlight's hitting and then the birds are singing,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and maybe you didn't slow down long enough to ever
- 11:21Speaker 1: listen to that bird singing, or notice that you have
- 11:23Speaker 1: a waterfall in your backyard from just the pool trickle,
- 11:26Speaker 1: but you weren't really listening to it, or I don't
- 11:29Speaker 1: know this change it like all of these things happen
- 11:31Speaker 1: when we slow down and when we drop into nature.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So I do remember that, and I remember our opening ceremony,
- 11:37Speaker 1: which I love to do. That I did once with
- 11:39Speaker 1: my sister in law who was guiding a happiness journey
- 11:43Speaker 1: with a group of women.
- 11:44Speaker 2: We did in my tep for the first time. That
- 11:46Speaker 2: was incredibly powerful.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But it's called not right now. But you know what
- 11:51Speaker 1: we should do the pod, the body pod again when
- 11:53Speaker 1: the tepee is up, because it's really sacred in supertribal
- 11:56Speaker 1: and there's a lot of Indian energy here that I love,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and the energy in Custrika is also very special. And
- 12:02Speaker 1: so for you to come out of your life as
- 12:05Speaker 1: you know it and to drop into all of that newness,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it's undeniable, right. And I remember the ceremony that's called
- 12:12Speaker 1: the Root, the Rose and the Thorn, and we sit
- 12:15Speaker 1: and circle and it's very confronting and very uncomfortable for
- 12:18Speaker 1: women to speak out loud and speak openly in a
- 12:21Speaker 1: group of strangers, and also to share something really vulnerable.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And the root also, the rose is something beautiful in
- 12:28Speaker 1: your life. The thorn is something not so beautiful, maybe
- 12:30Speaker 1: something that's really challenging. And the root is what you're
- 12:33Speaker 1: working on right sort of what you're planting and what
- 12:35Speaker 1: you're earthing.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And those three.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Questions really wake up what am I grateful for? What
- 12:41Speaker 1: kind of sucks right now? And what am I working on?
- 12:43Speaker 1: What did I come here to work on? And many
- 12:45Speaker 1: people that come to retreat don't know why they can't
- 12:48Speaker 1: and that's really okay. They know why by the time
- 12:50Speaker 1: they leave, but they come with reservations. They come guarded.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I don't think you're a guarded woman. I think you
- 12:56Speaker 1: are a strong woman, and there is an armor that
- 12:59Speaker 1: has served you you And so I never expect a
- 13:02Speaker 1: woman to just show up, strip it down and let's go.
- 13:05Speaker 1: That wouldn't even be a human experience. What happens consecutively
- 13:09Speaker 1: over time with intentional practices is you begin to peel
- 13:14Speaker 1: things back. And another great example is if I may share, Yeah,
- 13:20Speaker 1: I remember witnessing you, and it's very private, which is
- 13:22Speaker 1: why I ask you for permission. I remember witnessing you
- 13:25Speaker 1: being emotional, lying down on the mat and not knowing you,
- 13:29Speaker 1: and it wasn't my place to really explore that. So
- 13:32Speaker 1: I just sort of witness and watch and I take
- 13:34Speaker 1: it in and I know that something is happening inside.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Something is either being awakened or released or there's a blockage.
- 13:43Speaker 1: That's I mean, there's so many different things that happened
- 13:46Speaker 1: literally in the energy field of the body, not just
- 13:49Speaker 1: in the emotions, but in this vessel and this container.
- 13:51Speaker 1: And I remember watching that and I was like, hmm,
- 13:55Speaker 1: we're so we're beginning, right, And I kind of I
- 13:58Speaker 1: don't really tiptoe, you know, how I do my work,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but I I tiptoe around the experiences so that they
- 14:03Speaker 1: can become whatever experience each individual is meant to have,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and every retreat is different, every woman there is different.
- 14:13Speaker 1: But for you to come in so strong, which I
- 14:15Speaker 1: love about you. You have this beautiful, powerful energy, and
- 14:19Speaker 1: to watch that slowly peel away. When we did our
- 14:22Speaker 1: first I AM meditation, you didn't say a word. I
- 14:25Speaker 1: didn't say a word. I was so uncomfy.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I don't want to bounce like the first five minutes
- 14:31Speaker 3: you did and I thought you might have.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And you are out of my skin. You're an educated, strong,
- 14:36Speaker 1: expressive woman like you speak to very large, powerful groups
- 14:42Speaker 1: of people and inspire them and I'm like.
- 14:44Speaker 2: What is going on here with hey?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Like so I'm just watching. I'm like, this is really interesting.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Not a word okay. When we went back again to
- 14:55Speaker 1: revisit it, to do your live unexpectedly, I said, we
- 14:58Speaker 1: are going to I was so pissed at you. We're
- 15:02Speaker 1: going to do another I AM Meditation. And here's how
- 15:05Speaker 1: it's gonna work. I'm gonna say something, You're gonna say something.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something. We're live relind you and I
- 15:10Speaker 1: can't say no. Brook. Now, how you guys saw that
- 15:14Speaker 1: and nope, she just went and I'm going to at
- 15:17Speaker 1: picking up the slack and like I can just keep
- 15:19Speaker 1: going and going. And it was so amazing to watch
- 15:23Speaker 1: you go from guarded, uncertain, slightly confused to participating to
- 15:36Speaker 1: ah to then making it your own to then sharing.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm like literally watching layers like come down and then
- 15:44Speaker 1: emotional layers as well. And I'm so happy I have
- 15:48Speaker 1: experienced that with you. It was amazing. It was amazing.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I have done that practice every morning.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I'm positive that I am meditating wrong, but I I
- 16:00Speaker 3: will like turn on the Costa Rica meditation, like the
- 16:05Speaker 3: playlist and I have like a few favorites, so I
- 16:09Speaker 3: put them on and for the first song, I do
- 16:13Speaker 3: all of the ims.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I love that in my head.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I don't say it out loud, but now they can
- 16:19Speaker 3: roll off where at first, all I could think of, honestly,
- 16:22Speaker 3: I'm a little embarrassed, is a few good things. But
- 16:25Speaker 3: then everything that kept coming up, like I think on
- 16:27Speaker 3: our life. I was like, I'm scared and I said
- 16:29Speaker 3: things and I was like, oh, you're supposed to only
- 16:30Speaker 3: say pop like.
- 16:31Speaker 1: No, So here's the thing, here's the real talk about this.
- 16:36Speaker 1: There's no rules and there's no right or wrong, and
- 16:38Speaker 1: I would rather have something be messy, honest, and even
- 16:42Speaker 1: vulgar if it needed to be, because those are that's
- 16:45Speaker 1: our truth. And I think as women were raised in
- 16:48Speaker 1: a society that's like be nice and be polite and
- 16:51Speaker 1: be appropriate and be prep for Like, I don't have
- 16:53Speaker 1: room for that at all in the retreat times. So
- 16:56Speaker 1: when you said, and I remember it, you were like,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm scared. I'm like I'm vulnerable, and you're like, I'm intimidated.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I'm like I'm fragile. Like another woman's story and other
- 17:06Speaker 1: words will inspire another one to go, oh, I feel
- 17:09Speaker 1: that too, And not only do I feel that, but
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm terrified, you know, or for a woman to say
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm strong, I need to I'm surrendering. It's like there's
- 17:20Speaker 1: all of these things that just spark and ignite, and
- 17:24Speaker 1: then it becomes this collective story of shared emotions that
- 17:28Speaker 1: sometimes we don't have words for our emotions in another language,
- 17:32Speaker 1: I imagine they have more to pull from. Sometimes we
- 17:35Speaker 1: don't have words, and we don't always need words, but
- 17:37Speaker 1: if we can find then we start identifying with all
- 17:40Speaker 1: those feelings. It was awesome to watch. It was nice.
- 17:42Speaker 3: It was really And when I say transformative, like I
- 17:46Speaker 3: came back, I came back a different person, Like no.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Questions, I did too.
- 17:52Speaker 3: And I'm going to say for people that might think
- 17:57Speaker 3: that they know you, and honestly, I've had a lot
- 17:59Speaker 3: of women reach out and say, how was it, Like?
- 18:02Speaker 1: What was it like?
- 18:03Speaker 3: I had met you for a podcast, We had a
- 18:05Speaker 3: great connection, but honestly, you don't know how that's going
- 18:10Speaker 3: to be for a week together with someone and what's
- 18:16Speaker 3: it going to be like?
- 18:17Speaker 1: Yeah, like, what's it going to be like?
- 18:18Speaker 3: And I think that one of the most unexpected things
- 18:24Speaker 3: that I walked away with was I could not help.
- 18:29Speaker 1: But the first thing out of my mouth that I
- 18:32Speaker 1: wanted to say.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Your ability to hold space for all of these women,
- 18:37Speaker 3: I like, I knew on the mat when I started crying,
- 18:41Speaker 3: and I cried multiple times, I could hear other women
- 18:46Speaker 3: sobbing too. And to be in a place where you
- 18:50Speaker 3: don't know anyone and by this time, sure we had
- 18:53Speaker 3: kind of connected with a few, you know, with the women,
- 18:55Speaker 3: but we're still pretty much strangers. It Like that night
- 19:01Speaker 3: where we did this soundback, I let go of things
- 19:04Speaker 3: that I needed to let go of that I was
- 19:08Speaker 3: not planning on let go, letting go of and your
- 19:11Speaker 3: ability to really hold space. You're such a nurturer, and
- 19:15Speaker 3: I guess I didn't expect that. I knew you were
- 19:20Speaker 3: kind and you were funny. I knew you were charismatic,
- 19:24Speaker 3: but like I didn't know that you had this tender,
- 19:28Speaker 3: nurturing side. So that was really that was really fun too.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I appreciate that. I guess, a Walt, You know, there's
- 19:33Speaker 1: always a persona and a character, and I don't have
- 19:36Speaker 1: room or space in my life and entertainment or in
- 19:38Speaker 1: television to explore those things, nor would I. It's sort
- 19:42Speaker 1: of like this conflict where I have this life and
- 19:44Speaker 1: entertainment and then I have my my you know, my
- 19:48Speaker 1: wellness world that really is my passion and really speaks
- 19:51Speaker 1: to me, and they're so wildly different.
- 19:54Speaker 2: But I appreciate you saying that.
- 19:56Speaker 1: And my life was changed when I started doing this work,
- 20:03Speaker 1: people like John Paul Kremeni, my breath work guru teacher.
- 20:10Speaker 1: I remember going to a class and going WHOA and
- 20:12Speaker 1: having a similar experience to what you had, not really
- 20:15Speaker 1: knowing how to deal with certain things and certain emotions,
- 20:18Speaker 1: and witnessing a healing process that was so powerful and
- 20:24Speaker 1: painful and necessary that I wanted to continue to practice
- 20:29Speaker 1: and learn those things so I could bring them into
- 20:32Speaker 1: my retreat work. But it's amazing that you didn't know
- 20:34Speaker 1: what to expect, and that you expected nothing actually except
- 20:37Speaker 1: a little bit of me time, right, a little bit
- 20:42Speaker 1: of meantime, a little bit of ocean. I love that.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I think their retreat experience is different for everyone, and
- 20:48Speaker 1: I think the things that you discover and that you
- 20:51Speaker 1: learn about yourself individividually are so surprising and beautiful and necessary.
- 20:59Speaker 1: It's just it's hard for me to describe what a
- 21:02Speaker 1: retreat is like to other women, because it's the experience
- 21:05Speaker 1: that you need at that time in your life, and
- 21:07Speaker 1: it's what you make it, and you know intentionally. It's
- 21:10Speaker 1: guided by music. There's body work, and yoga isn't just
- 21:13Speaker 1: to work out or to exercise. Its therapy. It's medicines
- 21:16Speaker 1: tap into your body. It's to slow the hell down.
- 21:18Speaker 1: It's to quiet this down, to open the heart space
- 21:20Speaker 1: so that you can lie there for two minutes frishrabasana
- 21:23Speaker 1: or wherever however you call it, so that you can
- 21:26Speaker 1: quiet down your mind, lower your stress levels, and listen
- 21:29Speaker 1: to your body. Do you remember when we spent some
- 21:32Speaker 1: time talking to our heart. People are like, I've never
- 21:35Speaker 1: talked to my heart before. We gave our heart a voice,
- 21:37Speaker 1: So what would my heart say? My heart's never spoken
- 21:39Speaker 1: to me before. I'm like, why, well, mind in neither
- 21:42Speaker 1: in my twenty thirties or forties. It wasn't until I
- 21:44Speaker 1: really learned how to do the work. Way created space
- 21:47Speaker 1: where I held space for myself, where I could go
- 21:50Speaker 1: inside and have those intimate conversations, the good, bad, and
- 21:53Speaker 1: the ugly, and the provocative and the vulgar and the
- 21:57Speaker 1: fucked up and the beautiful and the gripe. Like all
- 21:59Speaker 1: of it. I want all of it, and so when
- 22:02Speaker 1: women come. But what inspires me about this work is
- 22:05Speaker 1: there's no writer wrong. There's really no rules when I
- 22:07Speaker 1: do the ims or when we write those letters, the
- 22:10Speaker 1: transformational letter writing experiences. Yeah, no one's going to read
- 22:13Speaker 1: that letter. You are free to let go and to
- 22:16Speaker 1: unravel and to reveal your deepest, darkest truths. And it
- 22:19Speaker 1: could be they as you should. I didn't read the letter,
- 22:25Speaker 1: but of course you did. Because we don't have a
- 22:29Speaker 1: space in life. We should. Hopefully we're learning that as
- 22:32Speaker 1: women to just be sometimes and you know, the things
- 22:37Speaker 1: that you're allowed to unleash and let go of, unpenned
- 22:42Speaker 1: to paper are really important and really sacred, and maybe
- 22:46Speaker 1: they're not meant to be read. Maybe they should be burned,
- 22:48Speaker 1: by the way, and that's okay.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yeah, can you talk explain what the transformational letter writing
- 22:54Speaker 3: is because I'd never done that.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It was brandish. I remember the first time that I
- 22:58Speaker 1: did it. It was deeply painful and emotional. I hyper
- 23:01Speaker 1: ventilated and cried in my eyes out and I had
- 23:04Speaker 1: no idea what was coming. So TLW transformational letter writing
- 23:09Speaker 1: is part of what I studied in breath work and
- 23:12Speaker 1: with other teachers as well. But it's an opportunity. People
- 23:15Speaker 1: do it all the time. By the way, you're having
- 23:17Speaker 1: a struggle with a colleague, write them a letter. It's
- 23:20Speaker 1: not that you're going to give them the letter. Yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: probably shouldn't give them the letter. It's for you to
- 23:25Speaker 1: get your thoughts out and to process them and to
- 23:28Speaker 1: go through them and to experience them. And then the
- 23:31Speaker 1: other side of the exercise is writing a letter to
- 23:33Speaker 1: yourself from that person so that you have an opportunity
- 23:36Speaker 1: to hear some things that maybe you need to hear.
- 23:38Speaker 1: That's just healing. And so people that write letters to
- 23:43Speaker 1: people that have passed away so that they can grieve,
- 23:46Speaker 1: so that they can have some kind of a spiritual connection.
- 23:49Speaker 1: People write hateful letters with things that they've been harboring,
- 23:51Speaker 1: that they're holding onto in this body and this container
- 23:55Speaker 1: that need an outlet. It's really really fucking powerful. People
- 23:58Speaker 1: write letters back to themselves so people that have violated
- 24:01Speaker 1: them and have hurt them, so that there's a healing
- 24:03Speaker 1: that takes place.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Because sometimes in life we just hold. We hold.
- 24:07Speaker 1: That's where diseases created, stress, deppression, anxiety. We hold on
- 24:10Speaker 1: to all these things. We never address it, we never
- 24:12Speaker 1: let it out of our body. And people also yearn
- 24:15Speaker 1: and long for things that they want and wish for
- 24:17Speaker 1: from people, and some of those people might not be
- 24:19Speaker 1: capable of ever giving them to them. So it's part
- 24:23Speaker 1: make believe, but it's real. Our body doesn't necessarily process
- 24:28Speaker 1: you know, truth and you know fantasy. It's a profound experience.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's an opportunity to just check in and get really honest,
- 24:36Speaker 1: and most people aren't really honest in life, honest.
- 24:39Speaker 2: With themselves or with the people around them.
- 24:40Speaker 1: It's hard too scary, too hard, too much judgment, way
- 24:43Speaker 1: easier to just be polite and be nice. Yeah. I
- 24:46Speaker 1: don't really believe that, but most people do. I think
- 24:50Speaker 1: it's way harder to not be truthful, and not everyone
- 24:53Speaker 1: can take that. That's why the letter writing is really
- 24:56Speaker 1: really good.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Yeah, well, if we go back to because I will say,
- 25:02Speaker 3: what was your intention when we met in that dark
- 25:06Speaker 3: room and we did the Rose, the thorn and the root.
- 25:11Speaker 1: My intention was to create a space for people to
- 25:14Speaker 1: tap into the reality that we all have beautiful parts
- 25:18Speaker 1: of our life, even if they're forgotten, even if you're suffering,
- 25:20Speaker 1: even if your life sucks, there are parts of your
- 25:23Speaker 1: life that represent a rose. There are good things everywhere,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and if you don't know them and you look for them,
- 25:28Speaker 1: you can find them in those moments. And the thorn
- 25:32Speaker 1: is just acknowledging and paying tribute to something that's really
- 25:35Speaker 1: hard but doesn't feel good. Because a lot of people
- 25:38Speaker 1: don't identify that thing that is really challenging and maybe negative.
- 25:42Speaker 1: They just deal with it, are they They didn't even
- 25:45Speaker 1: call it a thorn because they just thought that's just
- 25:47Speaker 1: part of life. And I'm okay with that because I
- 25:48Speaker 1: can take it, especially strong people, I wouldn't really realize
- 25:52Speaker 1: here's the beautiful thing, here's the not so beautiful thing.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Do I need more of this and less of this?
- 25:56Speaker 1: And then the root is really like what do I
- 25:59Speaker 1: what do I want to Maybe not what I am
- 26:02Speaker 1: working on, because some people aren't working on anything. What
- 26:05Speaker 1: do I need to work on that is gonna help
- 26:09Speaker 1: me become or let go or get more of this
- 26:11Speaker 1: or less of this. So it's a visual that really
- 26:14Speaker 1: works for people. Did your pass around a rose? We did? Okay,
- 26:19Speaker 1: we did, Yes, we passed. We've have around a flower? Yeah, yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 1: we probably did. So I passed around father's flowers. Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 1: maybe it was a father something.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I remember something was passed around. But I remember when
- 26:31Speaker 3: I went in that morning and your voice was quieter
- 26:35Speaker 3: and the studio was dark, and it just have like
- 26:38Speaker 3: a different vibe than maybe the other one.
- 26:40Speaker 2: No, it's interesting.
- 26:41Speaker 1: At the Body Tree, there's five incredible shallas open air.
- 26:45Speaker 1: You're in the sunlight, you're in the jungle, you're all over.
- 26:48Speaker 1: This particular room intentionally was chosen because it's a closed room.
- 26:52Speaker 1: It's very easy to control sound in there for me.
- 26:57Speaker 1: But it's also dark, so you're not real and that
- 27:00Speaker 1: was also the room where we did the mirror reflection
- 27:02Speaker 1: exercise where I had Buddy's see that was uncomfy, too,
- 27:06Speaker 1: very uncomfortable, seated in front of a mirror so that
- 27:08Speaker 1: they could beat themselves and see themselves. But in darkness,
- 27:13Speaker 1: it's really interesting what happens because we begin to use
- 27:17Speaker 1: other senses. So imagine having a meal and blindfolded, you
- 27:23Speaker 1: probably would smell, taste, experience, touch, see all things differently.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Imagine if you ate with your eyes, that's a different experience.
- 27:33Speaker 1: But imagine if you took away sight and you had
- 27:34Speaker 1: to rely on all of these other things. You might
- 27:36Speaker 1: smell urged mint flavors. You might have a completely different
- 27:41Speaker 1: culinary experience. Yeah, same thing love making intimately, imagine being
- 27:46Speaker 1: in a completely pitch dark room with your partner, whatever
- 27:49Speaker 1: intimacy looks like.
- 27:50Speaker 2: It's a deliciately different experiences.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Kind of an awesome experience, by the way, amazing because
- 27:55Speaker 1: you're using all of these other senses. It's wild. So
- 27:59Speaker 1: when you take people in a dark room where I
- 28:00Speaker 1: don't have to worry about how you're looking at me,
- 28:03Speaker 1: you kind of meet yourself differently. I think most of
- 28:06Speaker 1: us walk through life worrying about what other people are thinking.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And if I'm looking at you and I'm really looking
- 28:13Speaker 1: at you, and I'm really taking you and that's all
- 28:16Speaker 1: I'm saying. But if I'm looking at you looking at
- 28:17Speaker 1: me wondering is my hair funny? Or why are you
- 28:21Speaker 1: looking at me like that? Or I don't know, drive
- 28:23Speaker 1: like black under my eyes? Or are you're looking at
- 28:26Speaker 1: the wrinkles like It's a completely experience, so it allows
- 28:29Speaker 1: you to really just to see it and to see
- 28:31Speaker 1: yourself and to create a safe, safe space. You probably
- 28:34Speaker 1: remember hearing me say during retreat time and breath to cocoon,
- 28:37Speaker 1: to be selfish, to be in your own world. Even
- 28:39Speaker 1: though you're hearing music, and you might be hearing emotion.
- 28:42Speaker 1: You might be hearing trauma, you might be hearing laughter,
- 28:44Speaker 1: you might be hearing joy, you might be hearing tears, crying.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Lots of things happen in breathwork, but you're kind of
- 28:50Speaker 1: meant to cocoon and just care for yourself a little late.
- 28:53Speaker 1: That's why the music is still loud. Also because I
- 28:56Speaker 1: want to drown out everyone else's experience so that you
- 28:58Speaker 1: could have your own. Well.
- 29:00Speaker 3: I remember, like as the feather or the rose, whatever
- 29:03Speaker 3: it was was getting passed around.
- 29:05Speaker 1: You're like again. I was like, here we go again,
- 29:09Speaker 1: I had I didn't even have anything to say, like
- 29:11Speaker 1: I did. No. I was like, okay, just make it up,
- 29:15Speaker 1: make something up.
- 29:16Speaker 3: And the second I got the I think it was
- 29:20Speaker 3: the feather now that you say feathers feather and I
- 29:23Speaker 3: and I had it in my hands, it just like
- 29:26Speaker 3: came out. And I think, for me, I'm positive I'm
- 29:31Speaker 3: not the only one with this. But for me again,
- 29:35Speaker 3: I didn't know what I was going to say.
- 29:37Speaker 1: And so the.
- 29:38Speaker 3: The the rose and the thorn were pretty easy. And
- 29:43Speaker 3: then when I thought about the root, and I have
- 29:45Speaker 3: to say really quick, I had in my room there
- 29:50Speaker 3: was a tree growing through the room in this and
- 29:53Speaker 3: so when I walked in and I was like, okay,
- 29:56Speaker 3: we just this is the root, like I have this
- 29:59Speaker 3: live tree rowing through my room, and there was something
- 30:03Speaker 3: symbolic about that. But when I thought about what I
- 30:06Speaker 3: really needed. I have spent my entire life make other
- 30:12Speaker 3: people comfortable around me and disappoint them. So I've done
- 30:17Speaker 3: this thesing other people my entire life. And I finally
- 30:23Speaker 3: at that moment, I was I'm really trying I'm still
- 30:27Speaker 3: doing it, but it was finally the first time where
- 30:31Speaker 3: I've done a few things in the last few years
- 30:33Speaker 3: that have really hur there's really disappointed people. But for me,
- 30:39Speaker 3: it was the first time that I had used my voice,
- 30:42Speaker 3: even though I knew that there were going to be
- 30:45Speaker 3: a lot of people disappointed with the decision that I made.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And that's hard. That's really hard to be okay with.
- 30:55Speaker 3: I mean, my mom, there's a few people that kind
- 30:58Speaker 3: of helped me through this, but they know my story.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I think only a few people really know your story,
- 31:05Speaker 3: and that was pretty.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Right.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Yeah, not everyone is worthy of knowing it. That was
- 31:11Speaker 3: really impactful for me. So that is something that I've
- 31:14Speaker 3: taken home along with the meditation. There's something about when
- 31:19Speaker 3: I got home and I ordered the incense and I
- 31:24Speaker 3: got it already and I made this like little room
- 31:27Speaker 3: and got there and I'm like, okay, I don't even
- 31:30Speaker 3: know what you do with your hands, but something like this,
- 31:33Speaker 3: and I'm sitting there but just it was almost like
- 31:37Speaker 3: my soul was like, oh, welcome back, Like wow, yes,
- 31:43Speaker 3: And so it does get easier.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I still it's a skill that I.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Need to work on, but for me, it shows me
- 31:52Speaker 3: that I matter, and even though I have it, you know,
- 31:56Speaker 3: I'm a confident person, there is a part of me
- 32:01Speaker 3: that doesn't want to do any inWORD work. And so
- 32:06Speaker 3: that was really something that as I walked away, I
- 32:10Speaker 3: had no idea what I was going to walk away
- 32:13Speaker 3: from that retreat with.
- 32:14Speaker 1: And you know, it's so interesting about this a couple
- 32:16Speaker 1: of things that I want to touch on from the
- 32:20Speaker 1: outside looking in. You never know what's going on inside
- 32:22Speaker 1: of a person, right, especially a strong, capable person that's
- 32:27Speaker 1: got their whole life together and everything's working, that can
- 32:29Speaker 1: have gunfire going off inside.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Their head and nobody knows it.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Right. One of the reasons why people don't want to
- 32:35Speaker 1: do that deep inner work is because it's just too
- 32:37Speaker 1: hard and we've got everything handled because we're like really
- 32:39Speaker 1: capable people. We've got it's way easier. Just I've got it,
- 32:43Speaker 1: and just keep grinding and keep powering through. What happened
- 32:47Speaker 1: during that time where you found yourself at a space
- 32:50Speaker 1: to have a voice where you were I don't want
- 32:53Speaker 1: to say force, but you were inspired to dig a
- 32:57Speaker 1: little deep and answer a question that was very personal.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Things come up then they can't not come up right,
- 33:08Speaker 1: and you know, when you talk about going home and
- 33:10Speaker 1: you created the space, I think we kind of don't
- 33:15Speaker 1: want it to end. And then we're like, ooh, we've
- 33:17Speaker 1: got to like re enter into our life. Then you're
- 33:19Speaker 1: kind of like on the high of all these things
- 33:21Speaker 1: you've learned, ye, and then you're on the comdown. But
- 33:23Speaker 1: you want to kind of take that toolkit and then
- 33:26Speaker 1: go home and create a space, which is really hard
- 33:29Speaker 1: to do. You're not going to go home and have
- 33:31Speaker 1: nothing to do but take care of yourself for seven days. Again,
- 33:34Speaker 1: it's physically impossible. So the goals were and I'm so
- 33:38Speaker 1: proud of you for doing it, to go home, create
- 33:40Speaker 1: a space that belongs to you, to made me meditate,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and you said, you know that you're doing it wrong.
- 33:45Speaker 1: And the thing that really pisses me off about the
- 33:50Speaker 1: confrontation about meditation is there's no real right or way
- 33:52Speaker 1: to do it. The way I meditated might be different
- 33:54Speaker 1: than you know, a Buddhist who's doing it his way.
- 33:57Speaker 1: For me, it's time that you've dedicated to your and
- 34:00Speaker 1: the phone might ring and somebody might need you, and
- 34:02Speaker 1: dog might mark and that's okay too. It's time, and
- 34:05Speaker 1: you can do a walking meditation I don't sit down
- 34:07Speaker 1: and just watch my breath and trust me. For years,
- 34:10Speaker 1: my mind I was like, who has time to meditate?
- 34:13Speaker 1: I have so many things on my list. I'm not
- 34:16Speaker 1: that person anymore, right, And so when I discovered that
- 34:18Speaker 1: my optimal optimal speed is really slowing down, and you
- 34:22Speaker 1: heard my lectual lecture about that, that there's so much
- 34:25Speaker 1: to do in stillness, and I'm not falling behind. I'm
- 34:27Speaker 1: actually doing much better at a greater capacity. I'm more aware,
- 34:30Speaker 1: I'm more productive. It's a long list, but your mind's
- 34:33Speaker 1: always going to be like, am I doing this right?
- 34:35Speaker 2: Do I have time to do this? I can't stop
- 34:37Speaker 2: those thoughts. What am I supposed to be doing?
- 34:39Speaker 1: So for me, meditation is time with yourself that just
- 34:43Speaker 1: serves you and I actually it's very creative for me,
- 34:46Speaker 1: creative time. When I meditate, I get downloads. My challenge
- 34:50Speaker 1: is to not stop and go write down all these
- 34:51Speaker 1: things that are download I'm supposed to be meditating. So
- 34:55Speaker 1: my meditation for me means that I am quieting down
- 34:59Speaker 1: the noise so that I can check in with myself
- 35:01Speaker 1: and turn the volume up inside so that I can
- 35:03Speaker 1: really listen. And that's just my own imperfect description. So
- 35:09Speaker 1: the fact that you're even doing that is awesome and
- 35:13Speaker 1: it's beautiful and honorable because you never did any of
- 35:16Speaker 1: this stuff. Sound baths are sound healing. It's an opportunity
- 35:19Speaker 1: to listen to different frequencies that you've never heard. Yoga
- 35:23Speaker 1: beyond stretching is time for you to meet yourself and
- 35:26Speaker 1: to turn up the volume inside and to listen to
- 35:29Speaker 1: your body language. Breath work is an opportunity to release
- 35:33Speaker 1: and to heal and to let go and to just
- 35:35Speaker 1: see what comes up. So sometimes in meditation you may
- 35:39Speaker 1: even set an intention and just say no agenda, just
- 35:43Speaker 1: maybe something will come up. Or you might be meditating
- 35:46Speaker 1: or praying on I don't know, a new project and
- 35:48Speaker 1: you just want to kind of go sit with it, yeah,
- 35:51Speaker 1: in quiet, without a narrative, and just see what comes up.
- 35:55Speaker 1: It's it was amazing to witness you in that space,
- 35:59Speaker 1: to learn things about you like you learned about me
- 36:02Speaker 1: that I never knew. You're such an amazing woman because
- 36:07Speaker 1: you're so strong and yet so feminine. You have this
- 36:10Speaker 1: powerful energy, yet this very soft energy which is really
- 36:13Speaker 1: beautiful masculine and feminine. It's really really unique and it's
- 36:19Speaker 1: powerful and there's a softness about you that maybe hasn't
- 36:23Speaker 1: had an opportunity because you have so much to give,
- 36:27Speaker 1: an accomplishment to do. But just watching the layers in
- 36:31Speaker 1: your own time, watching you experience something, watching you find
- 36:35Speaker 1: words for the emotions, it's that's those are the moments
- 36:39Speaker 1: that make me want to do more of this work.
- 36:41Speaker 1: And I will.
- 36:44Speaker 3: I will do a trip like that every single year
- 36:49Speaker 3: that I that my life allows. And I know it's
- 36:54Speaker 3: a financial commitment, it's a time commitment. I think at
- 36:58Speaker 3: some point I walked away and I've had a lot
- 37:01Speaker 3: of women, like I said, which is why I want
- 37:03Speaker 3: to do this, reach out to me and ask me
- 37:06Speaker 3: about it. And my parting words would be everyone, at
- 37:12Speaker 3: some point in their life should do something by themselves
- 37:17Speaker 3: that they are scared that.
- 37:18Speaker 1: They don't know. Because I was completely out of my
- 37:21Speaker 1: comfort zone and I came home a different person, and
- 37:26Speaker 1: I'm honestly like, you get back in life and then
- 37:30Speaker 1: life just rolls on and it has to and so
- 37:32Speaker 1: you just go, go, go, go go. But I'm harready eat.
- 37:35Speaker 2: A little tune up.
- 37:36Speaker 1: You know you talked about that you need to visit
- 37:38Speaker 1: it with new tolls in different times of your life
- 37:41Speaker 1: as a different person and keep learning. I learn every
- 37:45Speaker 1: from every single experience, from every single retreat, from every woman,
- 37:50Speaker 1: and I take it all and I'm not afraid of good, bad, ugly, painful, emotional, joyful,
- 37:57Speaker 1: like I welcome all of it. And I'm really grateful
- 38:02Speaker 1: that we have that experience. I'm grateful that we get
- 38:04Speaker 1: to tell this story, especially to the woman that is
- 38:07Speaker 1: on the fence.
- 38:07Speaker 2: It doesn't know if it's for her. It's kind of scared.
- 38:10Speaker 1: It's a big commitment, you know, geographically speaking, economically speaking, time,
- 38:15Speaker 1: so life, animals, kids, partners. It is hard, yeah, and
- 38:19Speaker 1: there's no right time to do it. And it takes
- 38:24Speaker 1: great courage for a woman to hold space for herself
- 38:27Speaker 1: and to create a boundary and to hold that promise
- 38:29Speaker 1: and to say I'm worthy of doing this. I deserve
- 38:32Speaker 1: this time. I deserve one week and three hundred and
- 38:36Speaker 1: sixty five days, and I'll be damped if I'm not
- 38:39Speaker 1: going to make that happen.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I do think that it's good that you have options too,
- 38:45Speaker 3: that you have the you have other retreats that are.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Not start as long. We have other retreats. We have
- 38:50Speaker 1: retreats in Arizona, in the fall. We have retreats in
- 38:53Speaker 1: Costa Rica, soon to be in Malibu. We have fundraising opportunities,
- 38:57Speaker 1: gifting opportunities, payment plans. I mean, what seems impossible is
- 39:01Speaker 1: nothing is impossible if you want to do it. Yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 1: and not everybody wants to do it bad enough, because
- 39:07Speaker 1: it's really scary. It's easier to not do it, but
- 39:09Speaker 1: and make it a decision that I am going to
- 39:11Speaker 1: go meet myself. Look, you're gonna love it or not? Yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 1: Well I think it has to be experienced, yes, And I.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Absolutely want to thank you for playing this part during
- 39:26Speaker 3: this week in my life, because, as I said, I
- 39:29Speaker 3: had I did not know. The Brook that I knew
- 39:33Speaker 3: was not like the Brook that I met there and
- 39:37Speaker 3: it was.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Another It was Hayley, by the way. So it required trust.
- 39:41Speaker 1: It required a tremendous amount of confidence to get out
- 39:43Speaker 1: of your own way and to do it, especially at
- 39:45Speaker 1: a busy time.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I commend you for that.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And you know I took such a chance to you know,
- 39:52Speaker 1: persuade you to doing it because something was calling to
- 39:54Speaker 1: me and I took that call as a woman right,
- 39:59Speaker 1: not knowing with the other side of that.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Would look like. And I know we needed that experience.
- 40:04Speaker 1: This is Saucho, by the way, is he not so smushy?
- 40:08Speaker 1: I want to steal him and put him in my suitcase.
- 40:11Speaker 1: So love you. Well, thank you so much for I
- 40:14Speaker 1: let me share this.
- 40:15Speaker 2: I'm so happy that you did.
- 40:17Speaker 1: And many more to come, and there'll be a million
- 40:20Speaker 1: experiences and more things standing in your way to half these,
- 40:24Speaker 1: but more reasons to just show up and do it. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 40:28Speaker 1: I'm really proud of you, I really and thank you
- 40:30Speaker 1: for your honesty and your vulnerability and trust. Thanks for
- 40:34Speaker 1: listening everyone.
