  Ralph,
• 0:38
  I
• 0:38
  know
• 0:38
  I
• 0:38
  should
• 0:38
  invest,
• 0:39
  but
• 0:39
  honestly,
• 0:40
  I'm
• 0:40
  scared.
• 0:41
  How
• 0:41
  do
• 0:41
  I
• 0:42
  build
• 0:42
  confidence
• 0:42
  without
• 0:43
  making
• 0:43
  a
• 0:43
  huge
• 0:44
  mistake?
• 0:44
  What
• 0:45
  a
• 0:45
  great
• 0:45
  question.
• 0:46
  And
• 0:46
  I
• 0:47
  thought
• 0:47
  to
• 0:47
  answer
• 0:47
  this
• 0:47
  question,
• 0:48
  let's
• 0:48
  look
• 0:48
  at
• 0:48
  some
• 0:49
  statistics.
• 0:49
  And
• 0:49
  Abby
• 0:50
  pulled
• 0:50
  these
• 0:50
  together
• 0:50
  for
• 0:51
  us
• 0:51
  today.
• 0:51
  And
• 0:52
  these
• 0:52
  are
• 0:52
  really
• 0:52
  eye
• 0:53
  opening
• 0:53
  to
• 0:53
  me.

  say
• 0:57
  their
• 0:57
  biggest
• 0:57
  reason
• 0:57
  for
• 0:58
  not
• 0:58
  investing
• 0:58
  is
• 0:59
  fear.
• 0:59
  But
• 1:00
  what
• 1:00
  does
• 1:00
  that
• 1:00
  fear
• 1:00
  look
• 1:00
  like?
• 1:01
  It's
• 1:01
  the
• 1:01
  fear
• 1:01
  losing
• 1:02
  money.
• 1:02
  And
• 1:02
  that
• 1:03
  fear
• 1:03
  keeps
• 1:03
  them
• 1:03
  stuck
• 1:04
  on
• 1:04
  the
• 1:04
  sidelines
• 1:05
  instead
• 1:05
  of
• 1:06
  growing
• 1:06
  their
• 1:06
  money.
• 1:07
  Interesting
• 1:07
  statistic,
• 1:08
  isn't
• 1:08
  it?
• 1:09
  Here's
• 1:09
  another
• 1:09
  one.
• 1:10
  40%
• 1:11
  of
• 1:11
  Americans
• 1:11
  don't
• 1:12
  invest
• 1:12
  in
• 1:12
  the
• 1:12
  stock
• 1:13
  market
• 1:13
  often
• 1:13
  because
• 1:14
  they
• 1:14
  don't
• 1:14
  feel
• 1:14
  confident
• 1:15
  or
• 1:15
  they
• 1:16
  don't
• 1:16
  know
• 1:16
  where
• 1:16
  to
• 1:16
  start.
• 1:17
  Hey,
• 1:17
  I
• 1:17
  see
• 1:17
  a
• 1:18
  trend,
• 1:18
  fear
• 1:19
  confidence
• 1:21
  and
• 1:21
  don't
• 1:21
  know
• 1:21
  where
• 1:21
  to
• 1:22
  start.
• 1:22
  And
• 1:22
  listen
• 1:23
  to
• 1:23
  this
• 1:23
  one.
• 1:23
  Among
• 1:23
  younger
• 1:24
  adults,
• 1:25
  58%
• 1:26
  say
• 1:26
  investing
• 1:27
  feels
• 1:27
  intimidating
• 1:28
  or
• 1:28
  overwhelming.
• 1:29
  And
• 1:29
  here's
• 1:30
  the
• 1:30
  interesting
• 1:30
  part.
• 1:30
  Even
• 1:31
  though
• 1:31
  they
• 1:31
  know
• 1:31
  it's
• 1:32
  important
• 1:32
  for
• 1:32
  their
• 1:32
  future,
• 1:33
  clearly
• 1:33
  a
• 1:34
  disconnect
• 1:34
  there.
• 1:35
  And
• 1:35
  more
• 1:35
  than
• 1:36
  half
• 1:36
  of
• 1:36
  the
• 1:36
  Americans,
• 1:37
  50%
• 1:38
  said
• 1:38
  they
• 1:38
  lack
• 1:38
  confidence
• 1:39
  in
• 1:39
  making
• 1:39
  investments.
• 1:40
  They
• 1:41
  want
• 1:41
  guidance,
• 1:41
  which
• 1:42
  shows
• 1:42
  how
• 1:42
  common
• 1:42
  these
• 1:43
  fears
• 1:43
  really
• 1:43
  are.
• 1:45
  See,
• 1:45
  here's
• 1:45
  the
• 1:45
  thing.
• 1:46
  I'm
• 1:46
  going
• 1:46
  to
• 1:46
  start
• 1:46
  off
• 1:46
  with
• 1:46
  today's
• 1:46
  show
• 1:47
  with
• 1:47
  fear
• 1:48
  is
• 1:48
  normal.
• 1:49
  But
• 1:49
  I
• 1:49
  need
• 1:49
  you
• 1:49
  to
• 1:50
  hear
• 1:50
  this.
• 1:50
  Fear
• 1:50
  won't
• 1:51
  grow
• 1:51
  your
• 1:51
  money
• 1:53
  and
• 1:53
  you
• 1:53
  want
• 1:53
  confidence.
• 1:54
  Confidence
• 1:54
  comes
• 1:54
  from
• 1:55
  taking
• 1:55
  small
• 1:55
  steps.
• 1:56
  Here's
• 1:57
  the
• 1:57
  truth.
• 1:58
  Fear
• 1:58
  keeps
• 1:59
  many
• 1:59
  people
• 1:59
  out
• 1:59
  of
• 1:59
  investing
• 2:01
  confidence.
• 2:02
  A
• 2:02
  lot
• 2:02
  of
• 2:02
  people
• 2:02
  think
• 2:02
  that's
• 2:03
  arrogance,
• 2:03
  but
• 2:03
  that's
• 2:03
  not
• 2:03
  what
• 2:04
  we're
• 2:04
  going
• 2:04
  to
• 2:04
  talk
• 2:04
  about
• 2:04
  today.
• 2:05
  Confidence
• 2:05
  is
• 2:06
  faith,
• 2:06
  confidence
• 2:07
  is
• 2:07
  knowledge,
• 2:08
  and
• 2:08
  confidence
• 2:09
  is
• 2:09
  steady
• 2:09
  practice.
• 2:10
  So
• 2:10
  let's
• 2:10
  have
• 2:10
  a
• 2:11
  chat
• 2:11
  about
• 2:11
  finding
• 2:11
  that
• 2:11
  confidence
• 2:12
  on
• 2:12
  today's
• 2:12
  show.
• 2:14
  This
• 2:15
  is
• 2:15
  Financially
• 2:16
  Confident
• 2:16
  Christian,
• 2:17
  your
• 2:17
  daily
• 2:17
  dose
• 2:18
  of
• 2:18
  gospel,
• 2:18
  grounded
• 2:19
  insight
• 2:19
  and
• 2:19
  faith
• 2:20
  driven
• 2:20
  tips
• 2:21
  to
• 2:21
  help
• 2:21
  you
• 2:21
  break
• 2:21
  the
• 2:22
  cycle
• 2:22
  of
• 2:22
  financial
• 2:22
  shame
• 2:23
  with
• 2:23
  confidence.
• 2:26
  Hello
• 2:26
  there.
• 2:26
  Welcome
• 2:27
  to
• 2:27
  Financially
• 2:27
  Confident
• 2:28
  Christian.
• 2:28
  I'm
• 2:28
  Ralph.
• 2:29
  Let
• 2:29
  me
• 2:29
  ask
• 2:29
  you
• 2:29
  a
• 2:29
  question
• 2:30
  as
• 2:30
  we
• 2:30
  get
• 2:30
  started
• 2:30
  today.
• 2:31
  Has
• 2:31
  fear
• 2:32
  ever
• 2:32
  stopped
• 2:32
  you
• 2:33
  from
• 2:33
  investing?
• 2:34
  If
• 2:34
  it
• 2:34
  has,
• 2:34
  let
• 2:34
  me
• 2:35
  tell
• 2:35
  you
• 2:35
  right
• 2:35
  now,
• 2:35
  you're
• 2:35
  not
• 2:35
  alone
• 2:36
  in
• 2:36
  that.
• 2:37
  But
• 2:37
  a
• 2:37
  good
• 2:37
  news
• 2:37
  about
• 2:38
  this
• 2:38
  is
• 2:38
  fear
• 2:39
  doesn't
• 2:39
  have
• 2:39
  to
• 2:40
  win.
• 2:40
  With
• 2:41
  God's
• 2:41
  wisdom
• 2:41
  and
• 2:42
  some
• 2:42
  small
• 2:42
  steps.
• 2:42
  And
• 2:42
  we'll
• 2:43
  talk
• 2:43
  about
• 2:43
  some
• 2:43
  small
• 2:43
  steps
• 2:44
  today
• 2:44
  you
• 2:44
  can
• 2:44
  go
• 2:45
  from
• 2:45
  doubt
• 2:45
  to
• 2:45
  confidence.
• 2:47
  You
• 2:47
  might
• 2:47
  be
• 2:47
  saying,
• 2:47
  okay,
• 2:48
  Ralph,
• 2:48
  well
• 2:48
  tell
• 2:48
  me
• 2:49
  why
• 2:49
  you
• 2:49
  think
• 2:49
  you
• 2:49
  can
• 2:49
  make
• 2:50
  this
• 2:50
  work.
• 2:51
  The
• 2:51
  truth
• 2:51
  is
• 2:51
  I've
• 2:51
  helped
• 2:52
  thousands
• 2:52
  of
• 2:52
  clients
• 2:52
  move
• 2:53
  from
• 2:53
  confusion
• 2:53
  and
• 2:54
  fear
• 2:54
  and
• 2:54
  listen,
• 2:54
  a
• 2:54
  lot
• 2:54
  of
• 2:54
  people
• 2:55
  have
• 2:55
  confusion
• 2:55
  and
• 2:55
  fear,
• 2:56
  especially
• 2:56
  when
• 2:57
  you're
• 2:57
  younger.
• 2:57
  You
• 2:57
  don't
• 2:57
  know
• 2:57
  what
• 2:58
  you're
• 2:58
  getting
• 2:58
  into.
• 2:59
  But
• 2:59
  I've
• 2:59
  helped
• 2:59
  people
• 3:00
  Move
• 3:00
  confidently
• 3:01
  into
• 3:02
  financial
• 3:02
  habits
• 3:03
  that
• 3:03
  work
• 3:03
  for
• 3:03
  them.
• 3:04
  And
• 3:04
  listen,
• 3:05
  I'm
• 3:05
  not
• 3:05
  just
• 3:05
  telling
• 3:05
  other
• 3:05
  people
• 3:06
  how
• 3:06
  to
• 3:06
  do
• 3:06
  it.
• 3:06
  I've
• 3:07
  done
• 3:07
  this
• 3:07
  myself.
• 3:08
  I've
• 3:08
  learned
• 3:08
  step
• 3:08
  by
• 3:08
  step
• 3:09
  that
• 3:09
  you
• 3:09
  can't
• 3:10
  do
• 3:10
  this
• 3:10
  overnight.
• 3:11
  Which
• 3:11
  leads
• 3:12
  me
• 3:12
  to
• 3:12
  a
• 3:12
  story.
• 3:12
  I
• 3:12
  remember
• 3:13
  meeting
• 3:13
  with
• 3:13
  someone
• 3:14
  and
• 3:14
  this
• 3:14
  person
• 3:14
  was
• 3:15
  very
• 3:15
  fear
• 3:15
  adverse.
• 3:15
  They
• 3:16
  were
• 3:16
  really
• 3:16
  scared.
• 3:16
  They
• 3:16
  didn't
• 3:17
  understand
• 3:17
  the
• 3:17
  market
• 3:18
  and
• 3:18
  they
• 3:18
  just
• 3:19
  left
• 3:19
  their
• 3:19
  money
• 3:19
  sitting
• 3:19
  in
• 3:20
  a
• 3:20
  savings
• 3:20
  account.
• 3:21
  And
• 3:22
  interest
• 3:22
  rates
• 3:22
  had
• 3:22
  gotten
• 3:23
  really
• 3:23
  low.
• 3:24
  And
• 3:24
  it
• 3:24
  was
• 3:24
  just
• 3:24
  out
• 3:24
  of
• 3:24
  fear.
• 3:25
  They
• 3:25
  didn't
• 3:25
  know
• 3:25
  what
• 3:25
  to
• 3:26
  do.
• 3:26
  They
• 3:26
  were
• 3:26
  earning
• 3:26
  almost
• 3:27
  no
• 3:27
  interest
• 3:27
  on
• 3:27
  their
• 3:28
  savings
• 3:28
  account.
• 3:28
  They
• 3:29
  came
• 3:29
  down,
• 3:29
  we
• 3:29
  sat
• 3:30
  down,
• 3:30
  we
• 3:30
  talked
• 3:30
  about
• 3:30
  things,
• 3:31
  and
• 3:31
  they
• 3:31
  took
• 3:32
  a
• 3:32
  small,
• 3:32
  steady
• 3:33
  step
• 3:33
  into
• 3:33
  investing.
• 3:34
  Now,
• 3:34
  it
• 3:34
  wasn't
• 3:34
  all
• 3:35
  their
• 3:35
  money
• 3:35
  at
• 3:35
  once.
• 3:35
  I
• 3:35
  wouldn't
• 3:35
  have
• 3:36
  invested,
• 3:36
  I
• 3:36
  wouldn't
• 3:36
  have
• 3:36
  advised
• 3:37
  them
• 3:37
  to
• 3:37
  do
• 3:37
  that.
• 3:38
  They
• 3:39
  began
• 3:39
  with
• 3:39
  just
• 3:39
  a
• 3:39
  small
• 3:40
  amount.
• 3:41
  And
• 3:41
  as
• 3:41
  they
• 3:42
  learned
• 3:42
  more
• 3:42
  about
• 3:42
  the
• 3:42
  markets,
• 3:43
  as
• 3:43
  they
• 3:43
  learned
• 3:43
  more
• 3:43
  about
• 3:44
  investing,
• 3:45
  they
• 3:45
  had
• 3:45
  a
• 3:45
  peace
• 3:46
  that
• 3:46
  came
• 3:46
  upon
• 3:47
  them
• 3:47
  instead
• 3:47
  of
• 3:48
  panic.
• 3:48
  And
• 3:48
  I
• 3:48
  love
• 3:49
  what
• 3:49
  Benjamin
• 3:49
  Franklin
• 3:50
  said,
• 3:50
  one
• 3:50
  of
• 3:50
  the
• 3:50
  founders
• 3:50
  of
• 3:51
  the
• 3:51
  United
• 3:51
  States.
• 3:52
  This
• 3:52
  is
• 3:53
  perfect.
• 3:53
  He
• 3:53
  says
• 3:54
  an
• 3:54
  investment
• 3:54
  in
• 3:55
  knowledge
• 3:55
  pays
• 3:56
  the
• 3:56
  best
• 3:56
  interest.
• 3:57
  See,
• 3:57
  we
• 3:58
  always
• 3:58
  think
• 3:58
  about
• 3:58
  investments,
• 3:59
  how
• 3:59
  much
• 3:59
  they're
• 3:59
  going
• 3:59
  to
• 4:00
  pay
• 4:00
  in
• 4:00
  interest.
• 4:00
  But
• 4:00
  what
• 4:00
  is
• 4:00
  Ben
• 4:01
  Franklin
• 4:01
  telling
• 4:01
  us?
• 4:02
  An
• 4:02
  investment
• 4:03
  in
• 4:03
  knowledge
• 4:04
  pays
• 4:05
  the
• 4:05
  best
• 4:05
  interest.
• 4:07
  So,
• 4:07
  friend,
• 4:07
  let's
• 4:08
  talk
• 4:08
  about
• 4:08
  fear
• 4:08
  and
• 4:09
  confidence.
• 4:09
  This
• 4:09
  is
• 4:10
  what
• 4:10
  we
• 4:10
  really
• 4:10
  need
• 4:10
  to
• 4:10
  talk
• 4:10
  about
• 4:11
  on
• 4:11
  today's
• 4:11
  show.
• 4:12
  If
• 4:13
  you're
• 4:13
  like
• 4:13
  most
• 4:13
  people,
• 4:14
  fear
• 4:15
  shows
• 4:15
  up
• 4:15
  when
• 4:15
  you
• 4:15
  don't
• 4:16
  understand
• 4:16
  something
• 4:17
  or
• 4:17
  you
• 4:17
  don't
• 4:17
  understand
• 4:18
  what's
• 4:18
  in
• 4:18
  front
• 4:18
  of
• 4:18
  you.
• 4:19
  It's
• 4:19
  kind
• 4:19
  of
• 4:19
  like
• 4:19
  walking
• 4:20
  into
• 4:20
  a
• 4:20
  dark
• 4:20
  room.
• 4:21
  You
• 4:21
  walk
• 4:21
  into
• 4:22
  that
• 4:22
  dark
• 4:22
  room
• 4:23
  and
• 4:23
  our
• 4:23
  minds
• 4:23
  fill
• 4:24
  in
• 4:24
  the
• 4:24
  blanks.
• 4:25
  We're
• 4:25
  assuming
• 4:26
  there's
• 4:26
  something
• 4:26
  bad
• 4:27
  in
• 4:27
  there.
• 4:27
  We
• 4:27
  always
• 4:27
  assume
• 4:28
  the
• 4:28
  worst
• 4:28
  case
• 4:28
  scenario.
• 4:29
  That's
• 4:30
  what
• 4:30
  fear
• 4:30
  does
• 4:30
  to
• 4:31
  us.
• 4:31
  Fear
• 4:31
  grabs
• 4:32
  a
• 4:32
  hold
• 4:32
  of
• 4:32
  us
• 4:33
  what
• 4:33
  we
• 4:33
  don't
• 4:33
  know.
• 4:34
  But
• 4:35
  here's
• 4:35
  the
• 4:35
  truth.
• 4:36
  I've
• 4:36
  said
• 4:36
  this
• 4:36
  on
• 4:36
  the
• 4:36
  show
• 4:37
  many
• 4:37
  times.
• 4:37
  Fear
• 4:38
  thrives
• 4:38
  in
• 4:38
  the
• 4:39
  unknown.
• 4:40
  See,
• 4:40
  when
• 4:40
  you
• 4:41
  don't
• 4:41
  know
• 4:41
  what
• 4:41
  to
• 4:41
  expect,
• 4:42
  that's
• 4:42
  fearful.
• 4:43
  But
• 4:44
  let
• 4:44
  me
• 4:44
  tell
• 4:44
  you
• 4:44
  the
• 4:44
  other
• 4:44
  side
• 4:45
  of
• 4:45
  that.
• 4:46
  Clarity
• 4:46
  kills
• 4:47
  fear.
• 4:47
  So
• 4:48
  if
• 4:48
  you
• 4:48
  want
• 4:48
  to
• 4:48
  get
• 4:48
  rid
• 4:48
  of
• 4:48
  fear,
• 4:49
  you
• 4:49
  got
• 4:49
  to
• 4:49
  move
• 4:50
  to
• 4:50
  clarity.
• 4:50
  When
• 4:51
  you
• 4:51
  stop
• 4:51
  guessing
• 4:52
  and
• 4:52
  you
• 4:52
  start
• 4:53
  learning,
• 4:53
  guess
• 4:53
  what
• 4:53
  happens.
• 4:54
  Fear
• 4:55
  loses
• 4:55
  its
• 4:55
  grip.
• 4:56
  Here's
• 4:57
  another
• 4:57
  thing
• 4:57
  we
• 4:57
  talked
• 4:57
  about
• 4:58
  in
• 4:58
  the
• 4:58
  beginning
• 4:58
  of
• 4:58
  the
• 4:58
  show.
• 4:59
  Uncertainty.
• 5:00
  A
• 5:00
  lot
• 5:00
  of
• 5:00
  people
• 5:00
  think
• 5:00
  uncertainty.
• 5:01
  Well,
• 5:01
  that
• 5:01
  means
• 5:01
  I'm
• 5:02
  failing,
• 5:02
  Ralph.
• 5:02
  No,
• 5:03
  it's
• 5:03
  not
• 5:03
  failure.
• 5:04
  It's
• 5:04
  an
• 5:04
  invitation.
• 5:05
  It's
• 5:06
  really
• 5:06
  an
• 5:06
  invitation
• 5:06
  to
• 5:07
  grow
• 5:07
  in
• 5:07
  knowledge
• 5:07
  and
• 5:07
  to
• 5:08
  grow
• 5:08
  in
• 5:08
  trust.
• 5:09
  And
• 5:10
  that
• 5:10
  growth
• 5:10
  leads
• 5:11
  to
• 5:11
  confidence.
• 5:12
  Now
• 5:12
  I'm
• 5:12
  going
• 5:12
  to
• 5:12
  tell
• 5:12
  you
• 5:12
  right
• 5:12
  now,
• 5:13
  haven't
• 5:13
  experienced
• 5:14
  this
• 5:14
  for
• 5:14
  30
• 5:14
  years.
• 5:15
  Confidence
• 5:15
  doesn't
• 5:16
  come
• 5:16
  all
• 5:16
  at
• 5:16
  once.
• 5:17
  It's
• 5:17
  kind
• 5:17
  of
• 5:17
  like
• 5:17
  a
• 5:17
  muscle.
• 5:18
  I
• 5:18
  go
• 5:18
  to
• 5:18
  the
• 5:18
  gym
• 5:18
  every
• 5:19
  morning
• 5:19
  and
• 5:19
  I
• 5:19
  work
• 5:20
  out
• 5:20
  my
• 5:20
  muscles.
• 5:21
  I
• 5:21
  don't
• 5:21
  get
• 5:21
  strong
• 5:22
  in
• 5:22
  one
• 5:22
  big
• 5:22
  workout,
• 5:23
  but
• 5:24
  day
• 5:24
  in
• 5:24
  and
• 5:24
  day
• 5:24
  out,
• 5:25
  that
• 5:25
  steady
• 5:25
  training,
• 5:26
  that's
• 5:26
  what
• 5:27
  gives
• 5:27
  me
• 5:27
  confidence.
• 5:28
  That's
• 5:28
  what
• 5:28
  gives
• 5:28
  me
• 5:28
  strength.
• 5:29
  And
• 5:29
  I
• 5:30
  have
• 5:30
  those
• 5:30
  small
• 5:30
  wins.
• 5:30
  I
• 5:31
  have
• 5:31
  that
• 5:31
  day
• 5:31
  where
• 5:32
  I
• 5:32
  was
• 5:32
  in
• 5:32
  the
• 5:32
  gym
• 5:32
  this
• 5:33
  morning,
• 5:33
  and,
• 5:33
  man,
• 5:33
  things
• 5:33
  are
• 5:34
  really
• 5:34
  going
• 5:34
  well.
• 5:35
  And
• 5:35
  every
• 5:35
  little
• 5:36
  step
• 5:36
  builds
• 5:36
  that
• 5:36
  strength.
• 5:37
  And
• 5:37
  every
• 5:37
  little,
• 5:37
  small
• 5:38
  victory
• 5:38
  stacks
• 5:39
  into
• 5:39
  confidence.
• 5:40
  I
• 5:40
  look
• 5:40
  at
• 5:40
  it
• 5:40
  every
• 5:40
  week,
• 5:40
  I
• 5:41
  put
• 5:41
  a
• 5:41
  little
• 5:41
  bit
• 5:41
  more
• 5:41
  weight
• 5:42
  on
• 5:42
  the
• 5:42
  things
• 5:43
  building
• 5:43
  that
• 5:44
  confidence.
• 5:45
  So
• 5:45
  don't
• 5:45
  wait
• 5:46
  until
• 5:46
  you
• 5:46
  feel
• 5:46
  ready.
• 5:47
  Because
• 5:47
  the
• 5:47
  truth
• 5:47
  is,
• 5:47
  if
• 5:47
  you
• 5:47
  wait
• 5:48
  to
• 5:48
  feel
• 5:48
  ready,
• 5:49
  you're
• 5:49
  never
• 5:49
  going
• 5:49
  to
• 5:50
  get
• 5:50
  there.
• 5:50
  I'm
• 5:50
  going
• 5:50
  to
• 5:50
  encourage
• 5:51
  you
• 5:51
  today,
• 5:51
  take
• 5:51
  that
• 5:51
  small
• 5:52
  step
• 5:52
  in
• 5:52
  front
• 5:52
  of
• 5:52
  you.
• 5:53
  That's
• 5:53
  how
• 5:53
  confidence
• 5:54
  is
• 5:54
  born.
• 5:54
  That's
• 5:54
  the
• 5:54
  way
• 5:55
  I
• 5:55
  started
• 5:55
  in
• 5:55
  the
• 5:55
  gym.
• 5:55
  When
• 5:56
  I
• 5:56
  went
• 5:56
  down
• 5:56
  to
• 5:56
  the
• 5:56
  gym
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  first
• 5:57
  day
• 5:57
  in
• 5:57
  my
• 5:57
  basement,
• 5:58
  I
• 5:58
  wasn't
• 5:58
  sure
• 5:58
  what
• 5:59
  I'd
• 5:59
  be
• 5:59
  able
• 5:59
  to
• 5:59
  do,
• 5:59
  but
• 6:00
  I
• 6:00
  was
• 6:00
  able
• 6:00
  to
• 6:00
  start
• 6:01
  just
• 6:01
  small
• 6:01
  day
• 6:02
  in
• 6:02
  and
• 6:02
  day
• 6:02
  out.
• 6:03
  And
• 6:03
  see,
• 6:04
  that's
• 6:04
  where
• 6:04
  faith
• 6:04
  comes
• 6:05
  in.
• 6:05
  And
• 6:05
  that's
• 6:05
  why
• 6:05
  I
• 6:05
  do
• 6:05
  this
• 6:05
  show.
• 6:06
  It's
• 6:06
  all
• 6:06
  about
• 6:07
  faith.
• 6:07
  See,
• 6:07
  faith
• 6:07
  shifts
• 6:08
  our
• 6:08
  fear
• 6:09
  into
• 6:09
  trust.
• 6:10
  It
• 6:10
  reminds
• 6:11
  us
• 6:11
  that
• 6:11
  God
• 6:11
  is
• 6:12
  in
• 6:12
  control.
• 6:12
  Hey,
• 6:12
  when
• 6:12
  you
• 6:12
  fear
• 6:13
  what's
• 6:13
  in
• 6:13
  the
• 6:13
  dark,
• 6:14
  just
• 6:14
  remember,
• 6:15
  even
• 6:15
  walking
• 6:15
  into
• 6:15
  that
• 6:16
  dark
• 6:16
  room,
• 6:16
  you're
• 6:17
  not
• 6:17
  going
• 6:17
  in
• 6:17
  there
• 6:17
  alone.
• 6:18
  God
• 6:18
  is
• 6:18
  with
• 6:18
  you
• 6:19
  always.
• 6:19
  Now,
• 6:20
  I'm
• 6:20
  going
• 6:20
  to
• 6:20
  tell
• 6:20
  you
• 6:20
  this
• 6:20
  because
• 6:21
  a
• 6:21
  lot
• 6:21
  of
• 6:21
  people
• 6:21
  say,
• 6:21
  well,
• 6:21
  Ralph,
• 6:22
  if
• 6:22
  you
• 6:22
  have
• 6:22
  faith,
• 6:23
  you're
• 6:23
  not
• 6:23
  going
• 6:23
  to
• 6:23
  have
• 6:23
  any
• 6:24
  questions.
• 6:24
  I
• 6:24
  disagree
• 6:25
  with
• 6:25
  that.
• 6:25
  Faith
• 6:26
  doesn't
• 6:26
  erase
• 6:27
  every
• 6:27
  question,
• 6:28
  but
• 6:28
  it
• 6:28
  does
• 6:28
  reframe
• 6:29
  it.
• 6:30
  Now,
• 6:30
  let's
• 6:30
  get
• 6:30
  to
• 6:30
  that
• 6:31
  big
• 6:31
  question.
• 6:31
  What
• 6:31
  if
• 6:31
  I
• 6:32
  fail?
• 6:33
  But
• 6:34
  what
• 6:34
  if
• 6:34
  God
• 6:34
  uses
• 6:35
  this
• 6:35
  for
• 6:35
  good?
• 6:36
  See,
• 6:36
  because
• 6:37
  here's
• 6:37
  the
• 6:37
  truth.
• 6:38
  God's
• 6:38
  track
• 6:38
  record
• 6:39
  is
• 6:39
  flawless.
• 6:40
  Think
• 6:41
  about
• 6:41
  that
• 6:41
  for
• 6:41
  a
• 6:41
  second.
• 6:42
  He's
• 6:42
  been
• 6:43
  faithful
• 6:43
  before.
• 6:44
  He's
• 6:44
  been
• 6:44
  faithful
• 6:44
  in
• 6:45
  my
• 6:45
  life.
• 6:45
  Let
• 6:45
  me
• 6:45
  ask
• 6:45
  you,
• 6:45
  has
• 6:46
  he
• 6:46
  been
• 6:46
  faithful
• 6:46
  in
• 6:46
  yours?
• 6:47
  Well,
• 6:47
  guess
• 6:48
  what?
• 6:48
  He's
• 6:48
  going
• 6:48
  to
• 6:48
  be
• 6:49
  faithful
• 6:49
  again.
• 6:50
  And
• 6:50
  fear
• 6:51
  makes
• 6:51
  us
• 6:52
  focus
• 6:52
  on
• 6:52
  our
• 6:53
  limits.
• 6:53
  But
• 6:54
  faith
• 6:54
  points
• 6:54
  us
• 6:55
  back
• 6:55
  to
• 6:55
  God's
• 6:55
  power.
• 6:56
  And
• 6:56
  here's
• 6:56
  the
• 6:56
  last
• 6:56
  thing.
• 6:58
  It's
• 6:58
  never
• 6:58
  about
• 6:58
  being
• 6:59
  perfect.
• 6:59
  A
• 6:59
  lot
• 7:00
  of
• 7:00
  people
• 7:00
  think,
• 7:00
  well,
• 7:00
  if
• 7:00
  I'm
• 7:00
  going
• 7:01
  to
• 7:01
  go
• 7:01
  into
• 7:01
  investing,
• 7:01
  Ralph,
• 7:01
  I
• 7:02
  might
• 7:02
  lose.
• 7:02
  Yes,
• 7:03
  you
• 7:03
  might.
• 7:04
  It's
• 7:04
  not
• 7:04
  about
• 7:04
  being
• 7:05
  perfect.
• 7:05
  It's
• 7:05
  about
• 7:06
  being
• 7:06
  consistent.
• 7:07
  It's
• 7:07
  about
• 7:07
  being
• 7:08
  steady.
• 7:09
  And
• 7:09
  yes,
• 7:09
  it's
• 7:10
  about
• 7:10
  Being
• 7:10
  faithful.
• 7:11
  It's
• 7:12
  that
• 7:12
  showing
• 7:12
  up
• 7:12
  again
• 7:13
  and
• 7:13
  again
• 7:14
  and
• 7:14
  again.
• 7:14
  Because
• 7:14
  see,
• 7:15
  listen
• 7:15
  to
• 7:15
  this
• 7:16
  perfectionism
• 7:17
  myth.
• 7:17
  That's
• 7:17
  what
• 7:17
  keeps
• 7:17
  you
• 7:18
  on
• 7:18
  the
• 7:18
  sidelines.
• 7:18
  That's
• 7:18
  what
• 7:18
  keeps
• 7:19
  you
• 7:19
  in
• 7:19
  fear.
• 7:19
  You
• 7:20
  fear
• 7:20
  that
• 7:20
  you're
• 7:20
  not
• 7:21
  going
• 7:21
  to
• 7:21
  be
• 7:21
  perfect.
• 7:22
  But
• 7:22
  consistency
• 7:23
  is
• 7:23
  where
• 7:23
  transformation
• 7:24
  happens.
• 7:25
  And
• 7:25
  every
• 7:26
  little
• 7:26
  step,
• 7:26
  that
• 7:26
  day
• 7:27
  in
• 7:27
  and
• 7:27
  day
• 7:27
  out,
• 7:27
  step,
• 7:28
  even
• 7:28
  make
• 7:28
  those
• 7:28
  little
• 7:29
  investments,
• 7:30
  creates
• 7:30
  momentum.
• 7:31
  And
• 7:32
  that
• 7:32
  momentum
• 7:32
  allows
• 7:33
  God
• 7:33
  to
• 7:33
  multiply
• 7:34
  it.
• 7:34
  And
• 7:35
  remember
• 7:35
  this,
• 7:36
  God
• 7:36
  values
• 7:37
  faithfulness
• 7:37
  over
• 7:38
  flawlessness.
• 7:39
  And
• 7:39
  he
• 7:40
  works
• 7:40
  through
• 7:40
  that
• 7:40
  to
• 7:41
  get
• 7:41
  you
• 7:41
  steady
• 7:42
  obedience.
• 7:43
  So
• 7:43
  don't
• 7:43
  let
• 7:44
  fear
• 7:44
  stop
• 7:44
  you.
• 7:45
  Take
• 7:45
  that
• 7:45
  step
• 7:46
  today.
• 7:46
  Learn
• 7:47
  what
• 7:47
  you
• 7:47
  can
• 7:47
  and
• 7:48
  trust
• 7:48
  God
• 7:48
  with
• 7:48
  the
• 7:49
  rest.
• 7:50
  And
• 7:50
  I
• 7:50
  want
• 7:50
  to
• 7:50
  give
• 7:50
  you
• 7:51
  some
• 7:51
  scripture
• 7:51
  today
• 7:51
  because
• 7:52
  his
• 7:52
  promise
• 7:52
  is
• 7:52
  clear.
• 7:53
  Look
• 7:53
  at
• 7:53
  the
• 7:53
  Book
• 7:53
  of
• 7:53
  Isaiah,
• 7:54
  chapter
• 7:54
  41,
• 7:55
  verse
• 7:55
  10.
• 7:55
  He
• 7:56
  says
• 7:56
  this,
• 7:56
  do
• 7:56
  not
• 7:57
  fear,
• 7:58
  for
• 7:58
  I'm
• 7:58
  with
• 7:58
  you.
• 7:59
  I
• 7:59
  will
• 8:00
  strengthen
• 8:00
  you
• 8:01
  and
• 8:01
  help
• 8:01
  you.
• 8:02
  Well,
• 8:02
  friend,
• 8:02
  that's
• 8:03
  your
• 8:03
  confidence
• 8:03
  today.
• 8:04
  Why
• 8:04
  about
• 8:04
  we
• 8:05
  pray
• 8:05
  together
• 8:05
  right
• 8:05
  now?
• 8:06
  Father,
• 8:07
  we
• 8:07
  come
• 8:07
  to
• 8:07
  you
• 8:07
  right
• 8:08
  now
• 8:08
  and
• 8:08
  we're
• 8:08
  fearful
• 8:09
  about
• 8:09
  things
• 8:09
  we
• 8:09
  don't
• 8:10
  understand.
• 8:10
  We're
• 8:10
  afraid
• 8:10
  of
• 8:11
  the
• 8:11
  dark
• 8:11
  Lord.
• 8:11
  We're
• 8:11
  afraid
• 8:12
  of
• 8:12
  what
• 8:12
  we
• 8:12
  don't
• 8:12
  know.
• 8:13
  And
• 8:13
  we
• 8:13
  just
• 8:14
  ask
• 8:14
  you
• 8:14
  right
• 8:14
  now
• 8:14
  to
• 8:15
  give
• 8:15
  us
• 8:15
  wisdom.
• 8:16
  Replace
• 8:16
  that
• 8:16
  fear
• 8:17
  with
• 8:17
  faith,
• 8:17
  Lord,
• 8:18
  and
• 8:18
  help
• 8:19
  us
• 8:19
  to
• 8:19
  strengthen
• 8:20
  our
• 8:20
  courage
• 8:20
  by
• 8:20
  taking
• 8:21
  those
• 8:21
  small
• 8:21
  steps.
• 8:23
  And
• 8:23
  right
• 8:23
  now
• 8:23
  we
• 8:23
  just
• 8:24
  ask
• 8:24
  for
• 8:24
  steady
• 8:25
  confidence.
• 8:26
  Help
• 8:26
  us
• 8:26
  to
• 8:26
  not
• 8:27
  feel
• 8:27
  that
• 8:27
  need
• 8:28
  for
• 8:28
  perfection
• 8:29
  all
• 8:29
  the
• 8:29
  time.
• 8:30
  Help
• 8:30
  us
• 8:30
  to
• 8:30
  be
• 8:31
  aware
• 8:32
  of
• 8:32
  your
• 8:32
  love
• 8:32
  for
• 8:33
  us
• 8:33
  and
• 8:33
  aware
• 8:34
  that
• 8:34
  you're
• 8:34
  there
• 8:34
  for
• 8:35
  us
• 8:35
  always.
• 8:35
  And
• 8:35
  we
• 8:36
  ask
• 8:36
  this
• 8:36
  in
• 8:36
  confidence
• 8:37
  in
• 8:37
  the
• 8:37
  name
• 8:37
  of
• 8:38
  Jesus.
• 8:39
  Amen.
• 8:39
  All
• 8:39
  right,
• 8:40
  well,
• 8:40
  let's
• 8:40
  get
• 8:40
  to
• 8:40
  our
• 8:40
  one
• 8:41
  action
• 8:41
  item
• 8:41
  for
• 8:42
  today.
• 8:42
  Here's
• 8:43
  what
• 8:43
  I
• 8:43
  want
• 8:43
  you
• 8:43
  to
• 8:43
  do.
• 8:43
  We're
• 8:44
  going
• 8:44
  to
• 8:44
  break
• 8:44
  that
• 8:45
  feeling
• 8:45
  of
• 8:46
  fear
• 8:46
  and
• 8:46
  we're
• 8:46
  going
• 8:47
  to
• 8:47
  move
• 8:47
  into
• 8:47
  a
• 8:47
  small
• 8:48
  step
• 8:48
  of
• 8:48
  confidence.
• 8:48
  I
• 8:48
  want
• 8:48
  you
• 8:49
  to
• 8:49
  just
• 8:49
  take
• 8:49
  one
• 8:50
  investing
• 8:50
  step
• 8:51
  that
• 8:51
  you've
• 8:51
  been
• 8:51
  afraid
• 8:52
  of.
• 8:52
  Think
• 8:52
  of
• 8:53
  that
• 8:53
  thing
• 8:53
  that
• 8:53
  you've
• 8:53
  been
• 8:53
  afraid
• 8:54
  of.
• 8:54
  Maybe
• 8:55
  it's
• 8:55
  opening
• 8:55
  that
• 8:55
  investment
• 8:56
  account.
• 8:57
  Maybe
• 8:57
  it's
• 8:57
  increasing
• 8:58
  that
• 8:58
  contribution
• 8:59
  that
• 8:59
  you're
• 8:59
  putting
• 8:59
  in
• 9:00
  your
• 9:00
  retirement
• 9:00
  account
• 9:00
  or
• 9:01
  into
• 9:01
  your
• 9:01
  401k
• 9:02
  and
• 9:03
  ask
• 9:03
  this
• 9:03
  question.
• 9:05
  That
• 9:05
  small
• 9:05
  step
• 9:06
  can
• 9:06
  build
• 9:07
  big
• 9:07
  confidence.
• 9:09
  So
• 9:09
  think
• 9:09
  about
• 9:10
  that.
• 9:10
  Take
• 9:10
  that
• 9:10
  one
• 9:11
  small
• 9:11
  step
• 9:11
  today.
• 9:11
  And
• 9:12
  remember,
• 9:12
  even
• 9:13
  the
• 9:13
  smallest
• 9:13
  step
• 9:13
  of
• 9:14
  obedience
• 9:15
  can
• 9:15
  open
• 9:15
  up
• 9:15
  the
• 9:16
  doors
• 9:16
  to
• 9:16
  God's
• 9:16
  blessings.
• 9:17
  And
• 9:18
  I
• 9:18
  want
• 9:18
  to
• 9:18
  encourage
• 9:18
  you
• 9:18
  today,
• 9:19
  go
• 9:19
  out
• 9:19
  there
• 9:19
  today
• 9:20
  and
• 9:20
  be
• 9:20
  a
• 9:21
  financially
• 9:21
  confident
• 9:22
  Christian.
• 9:22
  Stay
• 9:23
  financially
• 9:23
  savvy.
• 9:24
  God
• 9:24
  bless
• 9:24
  you.
• 9:25
  And
• 9:25
  I'll
• 9:25
  see
• 9:25
  you
• 9:25
  tomorrow
• 9:26
  on
• 9:26
  the
• 9:26
  show.
