50-year-old time capsule contains suspected wheat disease
A 50-year-old time capsule will be opened at the Roseworthy campus of Adelaide University on Saturday October 17.
Back in 1976 it was an agricultural college - while the exact contents are unknown - we do know the capsule contains an early sample of a now-common wheat disease.
Rural reporter Gabrielle Hodson spoke with Dr Tara Garrard, who says it's a valuable insight into how the suspected Septoria Tritici Blotch has changed over time.
