  [rock music] Whoa, man.
• 0:25
Whoa. [laughs] It's like- S- Full spectrucycling, dude... cycling. Show number 262. 2-6-2, like 242, but different. And 545, but different. Mm-hmm.
• 0:42
Deep, deep, deep, deep. M-545. [laughs] Uh- By the way, a terribly, terribly comfortable shirt. Which one? Oh, the 545? Yeah. Oh, you got the, you got the different one. I got the, the black one with just the yellow. Oh.
• 0:59
Oh, it's like a- Yeah, I- I went to sleep in it one night. Ah, nice It was terribly comfy. I like comfy shirts. I'm getting like... If I know it's like a Gildan standard issue- Mm... I'll be like, "Eh."
• 1:12
But if it's Softspun or something similar, I'm like, "Oh, yeah." Mm-hmm- I do like me a good shirt. Uh, well, here we are. Oh, hey, oh, look, that guy's coming in the door right now.
• 1:26
[laughs] I was just gonna, just gonna say, "Tony's not here yet." But there is Tony right there walking in. Look at this. There he is. There's Tony Burke. The most special boy in the room now. [laughs] JK.
• 1:38
I'm always the most special. Ah. [laughs] Uh, and I'm Sven. It's show number... Did I s- say 262 already? Yeah, because- Kinda-... you were fumbling around that...
• 1:47
I kinda lost my, uh, my train of thought with Tony- You pushed the button... wandering in the door. I pushed the button, Tony. Very good. How's it going? Frustrating.
• 1:59
You'll have to put your, uh, your gear on and tell us all about it. Uh, we'll start out with if you're thinking about getting a solar array on your house, kick the guy square in the nuts and tell him no.
• 2:12
How's that sound? Yeah. Kick you square in the nuts, as you are the one that got it? I am the one that got it, and yes. [laughs] It will all be good at some point. Well, your first experience was a good experience.
• 2:23
Uh, my first array was great. Yeah, this one's been corporate slime- Yeah... for lack of a better term. We, we aren't gonna get into it right now. We can do that some other time. Yeah, for sure. But that's why I'm late.
• 2:33
So my array is active finally, though. Active and running. Yeah, when, when you showed the active, uh, the other day, it said error on the picture. I was like, "Doesn't look active to me."
• 2:44
Did it actually get it with the air cool? Yeah. 'Cause that's what I was shooting for. Yeah, it said it on- Yeah... the top one. The to house, not to- Oh. Hmm. Yeah. Which one of yours is going to the grid, right?
• 2:56
Yeah, one gets fed back to the grid. Over to- It's, it, it, uh... Yeah, I have to call them in the morning again. Anyway, I'm here. Thanks for getting me a beer. Yeah, right on. It's, uh...
• 3:05
Well, since we mentioned beer already, we might as well just [bell ringing] s- fly right to the top of the hill. Yeah, yeah. Somebody push the button all the way in. It- [laughs]
• 3:14
It is a, uh, it's an amorphic beer because I looked in the fridge and there wasn't any beer in there. Mm. So we're doing a Zonky Matrix today.
• 3:22
It's a double dry hopped, hazy IPA with dank orange flavors from Strata and Amarillo Cryo hops. That's a long name. I guess a Zonky is a mix of a donkey and a zebra. Is that actually a real thing?
• 3:33
Yeah, it is actually- Okay... weird as that sounds. It's a popular animal to discuss during the trivia bingo. Not a Debra? I, there's a lot of cross- Do you mean zebra? Debra. Yeah. Isn't that what that is? Yeah.
• 3:44
A Debra or, or a Zonky. Yeah. What, there's a lot of crossbred animals out there- Ah... that's for sure. Never trust a Debra. [laughs] It's terrible. Might be words to live by. I think her name was Debra.
• 3:59
Uh, Summerfest, uh, is over. Ah, I missed it. Did you? You didn't make it down one time, did you? Never. I did twice. And the first time was the longest for three bands.
• 4:14
Free ticket still cost me about $100. [laughs] Yeah, I noticed that too. And it was just like, I mean, e- e- even, even smuggled- Fuck that... dude, I was even like a damn drug mule.
• 4:26
I [laughs] like had joints in my socks and everywhere I could find. You know? [laughs] It's like, come on, I don't really want to overspend here, but it's simple too. Yeah, it's easy to overspend.
• 4:35
There are little, there are little hacks in there. US Cellular had a thing that was like the bourbon smash, something like that.
• 4:44
It was like the size of like a good sized cocktail shaker, but they like essentially put like a half bottle of booze in there. So they actually made it, it wasn't a pre-mix? Yeah. Nice. Yeah, yeah.
• 4:53
So you could hand out the... And then it did its job, so. Yeah, US Cell was my savior because, uh, got to pop backstage for a couple of beers and that sort of evened out the- Yeah...
• 5:05
the amount spent because, um- Is Marcus helping you out there? Yeah, a little bit of help from Marcus. I know. I kept looking for him [laughs] during my $100 day. I'm like, "I know he's there." Yes. Where at you?
• 5:14
Show us your face. Well, I went down with Ken Keane, and, uh, Ken doesn't have a card, so he had to keep- Oh. [laughs] He had to kept giving me cash, and then- Oh, no...
• 5:23
so it's like 40 bucks a round, you know, for two people. Yeah. And, uh- Can be... so you end up with a pocket full of cash, but that's already money that's been spent. Right. Exactly.
• 5:33
It's now- That's cash accumulation... yeah, it's now on the card though. I was laxed in paying that back when I was like, "Oh my God. Oh, yeah, that's-" Oh yeah, when the-... that's what happened.
• 5:43
When it comes, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So yeah. Yeah, so that was, uh... One of the things backstage at, uh, US Cell, they had the, um, I dunno if it's not a set list, it's a, it's a list of the bands from 1970.
• 5:58
Set times and- Wow. So guess who was, uh, July 17th to 26 back when they used to do it correctly. Uh-huh. Was it The Guess Who? It was not. Sly and the Family Stone. Ooh, wow. Uh, Chicago. There's some good ones on here.
• 6:11
Jose Feliciano. Wow. Doc Severinsen. [laughs] Oh, Walky Zone. Right? Walky Zone, man. Uh, James Brown Review. Uh-huh. And then a whole bunch of others, which I think of most of them I am not that familiar.
• 6:25
Um, but they had a, a, a short stuff. Those guys have been around forever. I think they're still kind of sort of around. Strawberry alarm clock? Could've been. I don't know. It's written in, like...
• 6:36
You can see a picture of it. It's, it, it's, it's like childish outlined letters, you know? Just, like, not very, not very well, not, not very legible. But anyway, so that was pasted up on the wall back there.
• 6:49
It was kind of cool seeing, uh, seeing all those old bands. Uh, b- b- b- b- b- push that button. Push. So that's Summerfest. It's done till next year. Uh, next week we're gonna have a, a show guest.
• 7:07
Cory Bauman is slated to come in next week. So that'll be fun. Little bit- After, after little, another weekend of Cory? Yeah. Where's he playing this weekend? No, no, no, no. Oh. I'm just anticipating.
• 7:19
Oh, well, running somewhere. Because last time- Yeah, we have... No, we do. La- last time he was on it was the w- every day it seemed like for about five days in a row.
• 7:26
[laughs] Well, the week after that is the Riverwest 24, I know. I know. That's what I'm saying. So. It's gonna- Yeah... invariably. And- That's really coming up. July is flying by. I am not- Oh, I'm-...
• 7:35
super thrilled with how quickly it's going. It's, it's like- I, I get to take all next week off because those fucking Republicans shutting down the university. So the- Sorry if you're a Republican listening to the show.
• 7:44
I'm not sorry. So what they... Why are they shutting the whole university down? They're not the whole university. No, no. You are, you are suggested if you have the means to either take off or work remotely.
• 7:55
Work remotely. So I'm like, "Okay, we're working remotely."
• 7:56
Because the police department is in the same building as the Children's Learning Center, they decided to close the Children's Learning Center for the week, thus making every parent have to- Oh, right on...
• 8:08
take a week off or find alternative measures. And then it turned out to be all for nothing because the RNC is, like, apparently has, like, one room all week in a different building.
• 8:20
Yeah, it seems like the, the hype leading up to it is not being met by the amount of people showing up for it. There was- Well, yeah. And I don't know if it's true or not, I probably have belched this out before, but
• 8:32
apparently they had, like, uh, outsourced the, uh, catering as such from a Chicago, uh, Boca Restaurant Group. Really? [laughs] To, like, cater the... I don't know. That's bullshit.
• 8:46
Well- I don't, I don't know if it's true or not-... sounds about right. But it sounds correct. Why give, why give Chicago the money? Why give it to Milwaukee? We're a horrible city. Wait. Terrible. What are we? Horrible.
• 8:53
Horrible? Yeah. Horrible. I'll wear- Uh-... I'll wear the shirt next week. Okay. Yeah. We're horrible. Because it'll be during the middle. Yeah. It was, it was horrible. Yeah. T Rump is horrible. Stephen A.
• 9:02
Smith was terrible. Terrible. Like- Terrible... terrible city. Oh, great. All I know is I'm gonna be hanging out with my kid for the whole week.
• 9:14
So this- And hopefully my electric bike will be back in service or else I'm gonna be really sweaty. That was years past at the US Cellular stage. Oh, wow. That- Yep. Yeah, I remember that truck. Yep.
• 9:24
The old boombox, man. Oh, man. Had the DJ inside there and everything. Yep. I remember that too. See that pasty white boy right there? Oh, my, that's me. [laughs] Pasty white boy.
• 9:35
And then somebody, somebody's like, like, like... I don't remember, remember girls sunbathing on the side. It's like, "Uh, that wasn't any of ours. That was the Shakers', uh, cigar women." [laughs] Oh.
• 9:47
[laughs] That's what... They just would hang- Nice... out with us and give us free cigars or we'd give them free shit. Nice. Now, that's a good call. Yeah. And then we have people sneak back past Marcus- Yeah...
• 9:58
and get us free beer. [laughs] Right. Yeah, in the olden days there was a lot more available back then. Well, kind of. You gotta get... He was like the ISR on, man.
• 10:05
He had to, like, just wait till you, like, not looked at you and then you go. [laughs] Hey, speaking of guys, I got a button to push here. Ooh. Hey, welcome to the radio program. Caller, who do we have on the line? Uh,
• 10:20
formerly Big Sexy. Currently? How we doing? Doing well. Currently, uh, uh- Little Sexy... Medium Sexy is, at best. [laughs] Semi? You got a semi? Semi Sexy. Semi Sexy. [laughs] Just rocking the semi.
• 10:38
Semi chubber. How are we doing, guys? Uh, how's the Riverwest? Uh- Meh. Well, Tony's going meh. Meh. Well, it's, uh, it's, it's hanging in there. The weather's been nice. We've had a lot of events around lately and yeah.
• 10:53
Where, how far away are you from Riverwest? Well, I'm, I'm far away from Riverwest. Uh, I'm currently in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Oh, wow. Wow. The li- the little apple.
• 11:04
Well, that's a little, a little jump over the pond to get to Minneapolis. I'll tell you what.
• 11:11
I had a event and it, and, and I, I, I, I tried to call in last week and, uh, I was off because the Central Time zone, blah, blah, blah. That, uh, that Schwinn tricycle,
• 11:27
Izzy, the maroon Schwinn tricycle, and, um, according to Schwinn it was a 2021, and, uh, that was a lemon. It was a fucking lemon. Oh, boy. Okay.
• 11:43
So y- are you trikeless at this point? Okay. So I am trikeless at this point. Oh. I am in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I am hauling everything I own on my back. Wow, okay. Because...
• 11:59
So, uh, w- do you want me to start from the beginning? Yeah, let's hear the story. Because I was in Detroit and I was, I was there. I was, I was ready to help my friend move, and then she said, "Yeah, back off.
• 12:13
We, we, uh, I-" Don't need your help moving. I said, "Okay, well, I went out of my way to get to Detroit to help you move," and then you said, "No, no guys." I said, "Okay, fine.
• 12:30
Yeah, fine." Hey, hey, um, I'm familiar with, uh, Detroit, South Detroit especially, uh, that area. Very, very, you know. So I, I had a good time. Uh, hence the video I sent you. Oh, [laughs] yeah. I saw that.
• 12:48
You know, I, I was having a, I was having a great time in Detroit. It was wonderful. And then said, "Okay, well, I gotta move on because I gotta m- I'm, I'm gonna, you know, do what, do what I gotta do.
• 13:02
I'm gonna get to Muskegon. I'm gonna go through hell and I'm gonna, you know, I'm gonna, uh, get to Muskegon and take the boat across the River West, and whatever, right?" Sounded like a good plan. Well, Izzy,
• 13:18
Izzy had other ideas. There was a, um, there was a point where I had to go a- around the, uh, Detroit Airport. Ooh. That's a- Um- It- It was, it was all bike path. It was, it was a bike path.
• 13:33
It was a bike path, but fine. I'm going around the Detroit Airport and my pedal started to wobble. I said, "Well, what the hell is going on here? My pedal's starting to wobble."
• 13:46
And I couldn't tighten it because, oh, look at this. It is just creating a hole and it stripped out or whatever, um, uh, I, I don't know the technical term
• 14:05
for the, for the handles- Crank. Crank... where the pedals- Crank arm... where the pedals are secured to the, to the crank. Sure. Then the next thing you knew, I was, uh, I was without a pedal. Yikes. I'm like, "Okay.
• 14:22
Well, all right. All right. Fine. We'll, we'll call Schwinn about this on Monday, and we'll say, 'Hey, what the hell's going on here?'" So I went and went to Home Depot and I got a bolt and a nut
• 14:39
and I, you know, made a makeshift pedal. Just a bolt sticking out of there? So I can at least... Yeah, no. And, and I, I put the bolt through where the pedal would be and so my foot was on bolt. Wow, jeez.
• 14:59
Right. I mean, I mean, hey, I thought I was a genius- [laughs]... for coming up with that. Like, all right, well, at, at least, at least I can pedal. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
• 15:08
At least I can pedal until I get to somewhere where I can call Schwinn. This is on a weekend too, so I... Schwinn's only in Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00, right? Yep. Anyway,
• 15:20
I, I pulled off and I was, I was talking to my brother, I was talking to my brother on the phone. I said, "Okay, well, I'm gonna keep on go- I'm 13 miles from this place.
• 15:32
I'm, you know, I, I'm 13 miles away from civilization. I'm on a bike path alongside the interstate." You know, whatever. I'm good. Right? Now, all of a sudden, and I mean, you guys, all of the sudden,
• 15:51
the handlebars released. [laughs] And I was like, "Whoa, wait, what?" And I was, and I was like, okay, I'm, I'm turning, turning my handlebars, but the, the front wheel is not responding. Mm. Copy that.
• 16:09
Okay. So I, I t- I, I t- and, and a piece of whatever that shaft that goes down into, uh, to hold onto that front wheel
• 16:23
broke and it, it fell into my hands, and I was like, "Whoa, what the hell's going on here?" I tried to fix it. The thing is, is that, and I'm like, I'm like, okay,
• 16:39
just gotta get to civilization. We got 13 miles to go. I can walk the bike, right? And I can pull it. I tried to pull it and the front wheel just kept on spinning. Jeez. Oh, boy. Okay. And it, it just, it, it...
• 16:54
I, I couldn't, could not pull the bike any further. So I called my, my mother. My mother, who was planning on giving me a, a, a boat trip
• 17:10
from Muskegon to Milwaukee- Cool... instead bought me a Greyhound ticket to Minneapolis, and I just left that fucking piece of shit lemon on the fucking side of the fucking bike trail. [laughs] Poor thing.
• 17:23
Because I could not pull it. So- That's, that... It's probably not there anymore, huh? Or trail art now. I don't know.
• 17:31
I mean, it's registered to me, so if they want to, you know, cite me with a littering fine or something like that, I mean, I... Okay. [laughs] But, um, I...
• 17:41
Man, I, I tell, I'll tell you what, is, that, that Schwinn, I don't know, it, it wasn't, it wasn't Heather. What... It was a very different model from Heather. It ended up being a fucking lemon. Mm.
• 17:57
And, uh, and I, I'll tell, I'll tell you what, I'm still pretty sore about it. Yeah, for sure. But, uh, at the same time, my m- my mom, and I, and yeah, um, yeah, you still get a birthday present from your mom. Yeah.
• 18:15
Yes, I do. I did until she died. Fucking asshole. Yeah. I got one. I got a, I got a cool pillow with plants on it- I-... and, and a Beanie Baby this year from my- Nice[laughs] 2002- Exactly... a 2002 Beanie Baby.
• 18:26
So he, he w- he was gonna pay, pay my boat ride from Muskegon to Milwaukee.
• 18:33
Instead, he paid my Greyhound from Detroit to fucking Minneapolis, and I'm carrying around my fucking backpack and my fucking sleeping bag and my fucking pillow.
• 18:47
But the good thing is, is I, I've, I've got my, I got my job back at, at the, at the grocery store, and, uh, at least until Labor Day. I can, I can fucking, you know, I can make some money and, and do this and do that.
• 19:04
In the Little Apple? But the, the biggest thing is, though- Yeah, he, he calls- Like-... Minneapolis the Little Apple. [laughs] Sorry. The Little Apple. The Little Apple. It is the Little Apple. Right on.
• 19:18
Hey, I'm, I'm, I'm sorry, guys, but, uh, Is- Izzy's dead. I left, I left Izzy on the side of the fucking bike path in, uh- Twin Peaks style... I, I, I mean, there, there was nothing I could do.
• 19:33
I love my people in Detroit, do. I love my people in Detroit, but they're, they're, they're, they're, they're like, "Oh, oh, oh, we can't come get you. We can't, we can't help you. We, we can't do nothing."
• 19:46
And I'm like, "Okay." They, they, they were not willing to help me out. They make Ford trucks. They have Ford trucks. They have Lincoln Navigators. [laughs] And, like, it's like 15 miles for them.
• 20:03
You know, «Hey, could you come get me? 'Cause I, I, I, I had a catastr- catastrophic failure.» And they said, «Uh, ha, I'm sorry. Even though you're only 15 miles away from our house,
• 20:20
I can't help you.» I'm like, "Okay, I'm taking a Greyhound to Minneapolis. Fuck y'all." That sounds like bullshit. Yeah. Good thing is, good thing is I got my job back at Cub Foods. Nice.
• 20:35
I'll be making groceries while you sleep. Be making groceries while you sleep. I'll be the overnight stock, and I am gonna make some fucking money, and maybe I might buy a new tricycle. I don't know.
• 20:51
W- what do you think about- But I'm- What, what do you think about an older Schwinn from probably the '60s or the '70s, when they actually made decent trikes? Right, right. I've got a line on one in Stevens Point.
• 21:03
Exactly. I've got a line on one in Stevens Point for- Oh... for a very nominal fee. We'll have to see if it's still available. A buddy of mine's, I don't know if it was his dad or somebody had it.
• 21:14
Yeah, I thought it was his dad or uncle. But it, it, it looked really nice, and in the past, they did make decent, you know, tricycles. So don't know. Oh, yeah. We'll s- see what we can come up with.
• 21:24
You know, I, I don't, I don't know what the fuck- Lasts 10 times longer. Yeah. I don't know what the fuck was wrong with this one. I'm sorry, and I, I don't mean to, um... It wasn't Heather. There's only one Heather.
• 21:37
The other one had never fucking fucked up. I n- I never, never had that handlebar issue. I never had a pedal issue.
• 21:47
It, uh, the only issue I ever had with Heather was the, was the fucking right rim would fucking shred every once in a while. Yeah. Understandable with as many miles as you put on that thing.
• 21:58
In, in, in, in, I, I swear to, I swear to God, that, that fucking bike that my friend, my friend bought me because I did some yard work for him, and blah, blah, blah, it, it, it was, it was a lemon.
• 22:12
It was a lemon from the get-go, and I didn't, didn't appreciate it as... I, I, I didn't really decorate it. I was, like, kind of like, "Eh, I don't like this bike. I don't like this bike at all." Yeah. Or, or my Heather.
• 22:26
Yeah. That's what- But, but, but check it out. You know what Heather is doing right now? No. Hanging? Heather has tomatoes growing out of her basket. Yeah. Ex- excellent.
• 22:41
Did you ever get ahold of Schwinn about your problems? Yeah, right. Or did you just let it drop? I, I have, I have not.
• 22:48
I have not, and I, and, um, because the way I left her, I, it, it, it was, it was more like,, "Okay, fuck you. I'm not...
• 23:02
I'll take the loss, and if I bu- if, if I buy another Schwinn tricycle, I'm gonna make sure it's a fucking Heather instead of- You should go vintage... whatever the fuck that was because ev- that was like, oh, shit.
• 23:17
You should go vintage. Yeah. I swear to God, man. But Schwinn was always... Schwinn is always, it has been always on my team, and they, they've always let... They've made exceptions and,
• 23:33
and, uh, giving me free shit and blah, blah, blah. It, it... Don't get me wrong. I'm not, this is not against Schwinn. But whatever the fuck that was that they, that that box had in it, it was, it was doomed.
• 23:48
[laughs] Doomed. I don't know. It sounds like you are in Minneapolis for the time being, then, eh? Yeah. All right. Unfortunately. I, I wanted to be there.
• 24:04
I don't know if I'm quite done yet, but at the same time, it's like, okay, got my job back, so let's just, like, barrel down and make some money. Mm-hmm. And see,
• 24:17
see where we're at about Labor Day because Labor Day is like, okay, are you going south, or are you staying here? Gotcha. One of the two. Yep. Time to make a decision. I mean, I, I don't, I don't know
• 24:33
God, I, uh, I, and, and literally, I, I haven't told anybody about this. My sister, my brother, couple of friends, my mother of course, you know, blah, blah. But I mean, the, uh, lots of people don't even know.
• 24:51
Like, oh, well, last time I heard, he was in Detroit. And no, who knows where he is now. [laughs] And I don't care. Where in the world is Big Sexy? I- I- It's- Boom bop, bing bong... you know what I'm saying?
• 25:06
Boom bop, bee la da, boom bop, bing bang boom. All right, Big Sexy, well, we'll- Yeah... we'll investigate this- Bop bop boo... this vintage- Bop.
• 25:14
[laughs] We'll investigate the vintage, uh, trike on this end, because I think that would be- [laughs]... a usable thing that would get you a lot further than something that's- Yeah... new and made in China, so.
• 25:26
Oh, well, here, here's the thing. When the rim shredded in South Alabama, and I basically had to walk to Montgomery and get a new rim, because Schwinn sent me an, a brand new rim for free. Thank you, Schwinn.
• 25:43
But I had to walk to Montgomery to get it. Uh, I had to send them, uh, proof of purchase. I had to send them the receipt. Box top. Because he said, "Oh- [laughs]...
• 25:57
that's a, that's a 2021 bike, and it's been sitting in a box for three years, so we got you covered. But we're making sure that you just bought it instead of had, have had had it- Oh, sure... for three years."
• 26:14
Makes sense. Cool. Yeah. So I mean, I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm, I'm not, I'm not saying nothing bad against Schwinn, but I mean, at that point, when, when I couldn't, when I couldn't even...
• 26:26
I was 13 miles away from civilization either direction, and I couldn't even pull. I couldn't even, like, bring all my... I, I had to grab what I can carry. Yeah.
• 26:40
You should have seen my feet when I got to my brother's house. I had to, um, I had to soak my feet for like three days, 'cause I was, uh, oh my. Ouch. Yeah. It wa- it was bad. Oh, well, all right. Hey, look.
• 26:53
We're gonna- I'm, I'm not, I'm not saying it's over, but unfortunately I'm not gonna make it to River West. Yeah, I hear you. Uh, but it was it. Just before we let you go, I wanted to mention, I don't know
• 27:08
how I heard about it, but Steve Booth, the guy that made the River West shirt, said he listened to one of our shows- Yeah...
• 27:14
and you were talking about the shirt, and he was super excited that somebody had the shirt, like, and they were riding with it out on the road. So he was super happy. Enough that he may do those again.
• 27:25
[laughs] I still wear it with pride, and I crush you guys whenever I get a second. [laughs] Like, oh. I'm crushing you. And it's like Bremen, Bremen Cafe or Vegas, I'll get, ah, crush you. Crush you. [laughs] Crush you.
• 27:41
All right. Well, we're gonna let you go. We gotta finish this thing up here. It's getting warm in the studio, and, uh, we got a couple other things to get through. Oh, no shit. Yep. All right.
• 27:51
Thanks for the report, Big Sexy. Well, hey, hey look, um- Keep us posted... I'll, I'll be in contact. And, uh, guess, guess what?
• 27:58
I'm probably gonna buy a fucking trike so I can get the fuck out of here Labor Day weekend. I, I, I mean, most likely. Who wants to be up here in the fucking winter? Yeah. [laughs] Not me. Cool. Hmm. All right.
• 28:11
We're gonna let you go. [laughs] We'll talk to you soon, man. Later, Biggs. All right. Hey, nice checking in with you guys. Yep. Hey, look, hey, look, uh, uh, please put my Venmo, put my Venmo in the, uh, show notes.

• 28:37
Big Sexy, everybody. I don't wanna jinx myself, and I wanna have a good '24. I wanna have a '24 where I can actually ride and not be in- Pain... absolute pain. I'll be, I'll be in the neighborhood during that event.
• 28:51
I wanna ride. We... You know. I wanna ride. I wanna ride. I wanna ride. You know. I got, I got ca- You gonna see that cashew? I got cheated. I got cheated last year. [laughs] My body rebelled against me.
• 29:00
It said, "No more." Are you going to see that cashew? We don't know yet. Yeah. I have to talk to my brain a little bit. These things are in flux.
• 29:09
Because it would feel like it would be something that, of the fungus nature, would have to be consumed. But I have made a, that there's no c- fungus consumption until the daylight, until the sunrise.
• 29:21
No mushrooms till sunrise. Yeah. Weird. Okay. Right? [laughs] Um- Well, bad things, or not bad, but- Well, we-... annoying things occur in the past. You wanna... Did you look at the show notes at all? No.
• 29:37
I- Uh, there's-... laughed about the RNC party that's gonna be in Brewers Hill that I just saw. Yeah. [laughs] I think that's- Well, yeah... the fuck's that all about? I think, I think that's kind of fake, don't you?
• 29:46
They registered for a permit. Oh. And they've done it in the past. Oh, okay. The guy who did it, like, did it for the- Oh, right, on, like a rave at a, at a, uh, warehouse... the W for George W. Yeah. Oh.
• 29:56
Nothing whatever. That's a fucking joke. Yeah. Well, apparently there was like a, like a six-pack of, uh, squads outside of a Airbnb, um- On Chambers Street. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, I just saw that. Yeah.
• 30:06
What was that all about? Who knows? Who knows? But one of the com- Well, they were like- One of the comments was great.
• 30:10
It was like, "No, this is just like a test run for, like, the couple-" [laughs] There was like eight squad cars. I just went by it. "... like the couple from Utah-" Yeah. I, I probably don't wanna know what happened yet.
• 30:18
It's like, what do you mean? I mean, wow, that's crazy, 'cause I literally just rode by that- Yeah... to get batteries on the way here. I'm like, "Why are there eight squad cars and a large contingency of people?"
• 30:29
The scuttlebutt is somebody passed away, and a very young person there. That, uh, that's what I'm guessing too. Yeah, some...
• 30:35
Yeah Judging from all the family that was around, I'm gonna guess someone, I don't know, maybe OD'd. Nah, I think it's even younger than that for some reason. Oh, no. No. Oh, no. That's a fresh flip. Yeah.
• 30:45
That house was- Oh, I don't- That house was destroyed, and then suddenly complete flip. But a Airbnb now. Yeah. It goes- That's what they- With the godsend River West now- Yeah... everybody's got an Airbnb. Yeah.
• 30:55
You're gonna make... Hey, they, they'll make about 10, 15,000 next week, so. Yep. Yeah. Well. S'pose. I guess- And the haunted factor, that one'll be like Shakers. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Got a little more bang to it.
• 31:07
There's a, uh, there's a picture in the show notes this week. Mm. Mm. So I wanted you guys to check it out. It's- Oh, is that the, the crushed- That's- The crushed carbon fiber? Yeah. [laughs] Alexander Vlasov's crash.
• 31:18
I was watching the stage and he went into the ditch. Oh, no. And this- And he got a new bike. They didn't show how wrecked this... One, two, three. Yeah.
• 31:27
There's like four different breaks in the carbon frame where he- What do you expect? It's carbon... went into the ditch and, and rolled and, uh- You can't do that with those...
• 31:34
ended up, he ended up, uh, f- fracturing his ankles. But he finished 50K with a fractured ankle on his [laughs] spare bike. Oh, you know. That's how I felt last year. Bringing it all back to me. There you go.
• 31:45
That's how I felt riding last year. What's that mean? My entire left leg, like, I could not put anything... I thought it was a ankle thing. We know. We teased you a lot about it.
• 31:54
I know, and it was- [laughs] 'Cause you wouldn't see a doctor and you do have insurance. I did see a doctor. After the event. Eventually. Well, yeah. And he didn't know what the hell... Yeah.
• 32:03
[laughs] Well- So I, I'm sitting there making the noise, the click, click, click, click, click, click. He's like, "I hear it." He's like, "Eh, it could be the Achilles." Time for a specialist.
• 32:14
Eh, he wants me to take a picture and then he'll say, "Hmm. Let's go to a specialist. Eh." That's normally where you get the best service- Right... is from a specialist. Yeah. Last I checked. But, but it feels good now.
• 32:25
[laughs] Well- So- If it doesn't hurt, don't mess with it I know. It's... Ah, man, it's gotta be this far. This is- [laughs] This is solid maple or whatever this wood is. Yeah, it is. This looks like maple. Yeah.
• 32:36
All right, everybody. Well- We did it- And, oh-... for this week... happy birthday to Courtney Hole. Oh, yeah. 60 years old. And, and belated birthday to Greg last week. Oh, it's not, not 60 anymore. No, no. Mm. 61.
• 32:47
Well- Yeah... I found my one Hole shirt. Goes, "Come see our hole" with the sinkhole hero. I like it. You know the sinkhole heroes. Yeah. Yeah. You know who the sinkhole heroes are. Oh, yeah.
• 32:56
But don't you see the little Escalade- I see the little Escalade in there... in the front of it? [laughs] It was still running too, right? Yeah, 'cause they had- Like a day? They had to run it out of gas. Yeah. Yeah.
• 33:03
He had just filled up- Yeah. So it ran for like-... at the other side of the bridge... 18 hours or something... and it was his. And it, [laughs] it couldn't do shit until it- 18 hours idling for an Escalade?
• 33:10
That's impressive. Yeah, must have something. I don't know. I figured that'd be like three. It was, it was four houses away from my house. Wow. I had front row. That was- Complete front row- That was nuts...
• 33:22
on that entire adventure, and it was a brilliant adventure. It's not as cool as the sinkhole in Illinois, though, that took out the entire soccer field. Yes it was. Or, or the, or the one- Yes it was...
• 33:30
that's right by Big Bay Park that- Yes. Yes... kept taking- Yes... parts of- That was pretty awesome too. No, no. I- No. You're wrong. This was better. No it's not. [laughs] 'Cause I have a shirt. I have a... Yeah.
• 33:39
Do they make a shirt for those fuckers? No. Uh-uh. Nah-uh. Not yet... nah-uh. Not yet. No, no. They made them- Missed opportunity... right out of the thing, you know, like gate- Missed opportunity.
• 33:46
Could be making fortunes. Right out of the gate. Yep, just like the Horrible City guy. Right. Ah, yeah, yeah. I'll have my shirt on next week. Horrible City welcomes the RNC fascists. Yeah, I love that sign.
• 33:57
[laughs] All right, everybody. Thank you. Come again. Bye bye.
